Starting point is 00:05:23 that link is also pinned in the chat. The Spurs beat the Lakers to advance to the semifinals of the NBA Cup by the score 132, 119. The Spurs won't fire tonight, shooting 45% from 3. And the Lakers just could not guard.
Starting point is 00:05:42 Luca had 35.7 assist, 5 rebounds, LeBron, 17 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists. But Austin Reeve struggled tonight, Ruiz struggled tonight, and they just could not defend, Joe. Stefan Castle had 30 points, 10 rebounds, six assists. They had
Starting point is 00:05:56 if I'm not mistaken, I think they had seven players in double figures. their bench scored like 44, 45 points, and the Lakers only got bench production from Marcus Mark. But Joe, watching this ball game, and we look, we know Austin Reeves struggle tonight. That's an anomaly. He's played great the entire season.
Starting point is 00:06:15 So we know they can score. Luca's going to give you somewhere between 30 and 35 a night. Austin Reeves probably going to give you somewhere between 25 and 30 a night. LeBron is going to be the third option. He's going to give you somewhere between 15 and 20 a night. The issue is not going to be scoring. The issue is going to be, can they defend consistently? Because LeBron is about to be 41.
Starting point is 00:06:35 Luca's never been a defender, and Austin Reed's got a taste of offense in his mouth, not Joe. So do you know what you start? Like, hey, man, they're going to pay me 200 mil to put the ball in the basket, not to defend. And so that's going to be their issue. But I was surprised, but how well the Spurs played tonight. I wasn't really surprised.
Starting point is 00:06:56 You know, you got to give props to the Spurs on Canocho. You know, the Lakers just coming off their road trip on the East Coast, man. That's a three-hour difference. It takes a little while for the body to get back acclimated, you know, to Pacific time. If I'm the Lakers, obviously, you definitely disappointed being at home. But you got to get a Spurs credit, man. They got a lot of young cats who can put that ball in the hole, man. Young legs.
Starting point is 00:07:22 Ooh, they youth came into play tonight. But like I said, I thought the Lakers were definitely lethargic off of this East Coast trip. They just came off of us. So that first game back, Anconocho, it's always a little tough, a little difficult. Your legs are kind of, you know, a little dead. But if I'm the Lagos, I wouldn't put too much into this. I'll probably just kind of wipe my hands with it, chalk it up, and prepare for the next one. But the Spurs look good, man, considering that they're playing without Wimby.
Starting point is 00:07:46 Yeah. Like, they're at the top of the West. They're back court. I mean, you can, you look at OKC and what they've done, but the Spurs and the Lakers have been right there. And the Spurs have continuously throughout this entire. season been playing great basketball. So I got to get them a lot of problems. They look good tonight.
Starting point is 00:08:04 I mean, Ocho, Joe, Spurs got 39 in the first quarter. You got 31 in the second quarter. So that's 70 points at the half. Then they go get 34 in the third. That's 104 points. You're going to have a very tough time. You let teams score that many points. You're going to have a hard-ass time.
Starting point is 00:08:21 Unless you're shooting at an elite level, you let a team score like that, you've got your work cut out for. You got your work cut out for you. And then they got 28, then they got 28 to fourth quarter when they, you know, they kind of took their foot off the gas. The issue for the Lakers, and I still believe this, Joe, and I think you agree, is going to be defend, can they defend? Can they defend?
Starting point is 00:08:42 Can they go to score? Lucas is going to give you, I mean, he's got to easy, he's going to look. He's going to go off every first quarter because he's going to get up about 15 shots. So there's going to be a great chance he's going to have somewhere between 20 and maybe even 30 points in the first quarter. so he's going to get he's going to get out to a great start the question is can they defend because what happens when your shots see what happened was they got up to a great start and when it wasn't defending it was fine because the spurs missed a couple shots and the lakers you know right back at them but what happens when those shots shot stopped falling
Starting point is 00:09:15 uh joe and ocho yeah then all of a sudden the other team couldn't miss you can't get no stops to quell that rush ocho looking at this game man i mean look stepan castle you see why he run rookie of the year? Yes, sir. Man, Fox, Deeran Fox? Hey, that's that boy, man. And he's that boy.
Starting point is 00:09:35 Hey, he always, he always been that boy. Mm-hmm. We're down there in Sacktown. I just, the fact that I'm not sure why certain players, I think, depending on where they play, obviously, if you're not flamboyant, if you're not flashy, you don't
Starting point is 00:09:47 get the credit, you're not, you're not seen on TV as often as you should, you know? I mean, especially for those that don't watch the game of basketball, but, but he likes, that. Oh, yeah. He always been like that. And as far as the leg is concerned, they've really never been able to play defense. You understand? That's not the way that team is built. They're off of the juggernaut. And when Rui was off the night, when Osprey was off the night, you know, it had, it's something has to offset them not
Starting point is 00:10:12 having defense. So they, they have no choice but to be efficient. They got no choice but to be efficient from the field. And everybody has to be on. Everybody got to be on. I agree. You know, tonight you had two, two individuals that score I mean, they, they are part of the scoring. Obviously, LeBron, Luca, you know, they did what they could do. But if Ruey and Austin not on, they really don't stand no chance, not just against the Spurs, but hell, anybody that can score at will. They're always going to be a problem.
Starting point is 00:10:44 If you go back and study the Lakers, Joe and Ocho, if you look at the Lakers, say, the past, let's just take since LeBron been there. Yeah. The thing that's always giving them problem, elite backcourt. Quick backcourt. Yeah, guys who can score. Go back and look at since LeBron has been there,
Starting point is 00:11:00 teams that Deerrin Fox has always given them fits. She is always going to give them fits. Somebody that has an elite Tyrese maxi, guys that have John Marant. Anybody that has an elite back court is going to cause them problem because they can't defend that. They can't defend on ball. So you come with the help, they swing it.
Starting point is 00:11:18 You rotate one more time. Now guys wide open. They don't have guys. They don't have guys that can't rotate multiple times. And the thing, what makes OKC so great, they can rotate once, twice, three times, four times, five times a lady. Yeah. And they're always going to have three elite-level ball defend, on-ball defenders. They're going to be on the court at all times.
Starting point is 00:11:41 Oh, yeah. I agree with both. You got Caruso in. You brought Wallace in. You just bring, you just, I'll Joe comes in. You just, they just keep throwing people at you and at you and at you and at you. And it just overwhelms you. Yeah, they got deep.
Starting point is 00:11:54 okay c got defensive minded guys you know and they playing extended defense meaning they picking up full court the lakers are more built they're gonna try to outscore you peer point blank uh and i thought they were very lethargic tonight like i said i thought they was a step or too slow tonight too okay ocho uh and their young team their young spurs team took advantage of a lake's team like i said they had been on the road just coming back home so they probably was a little relaxed and uh like i say man the spurs look good man they sit in top of the west as well and I look forward to seeing them play okay C man it's going to be they're going to be a great team a fun team to watch so well I was going to go to the I was going to go to the game but
Starting point is 00:12:36 I ain't going now why because the Lakers ain't playing I don't want to see those okay C and spurs man that's going to be a good game I'd rather go watch a worm fight oh man jumping jacks and red wigglers fighting who's going to get who's going to get eaten by the fish first I think I think we're going to get eaten by the fish I think I think we're We'll be going to be back, no. I think we'll be going to be back for the championship. I don't care about that. Big Ben can be back.
Starting point is 00:13:01 The Ival Tower can be back. I ain't going. It's going to be a hell of a game. Boy, you're going to wish you went to this game. What you want to bet the ratings will be? They're going to be high. I mean, if the Lakers was playing, they'd probably be a little higher, but they're going to be a little.
Starting point is 00:13:19 A little Luca and LeBron? Yeah. But I'm saying, look, you can't, you can't, You can't deny what O KC doing those. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Two things can be true, Joe. Yeah. The spurs have always, think about it.
Starting point is 00:13:34 The spurs have always been really, really good, even when they had Duncan, even they had Manu and Tony Parker, and the Kauai came late. Right. But they also been a low draw. That's just the way it is. That's just the way it is.
Starting point is 00:13:46 Hold on. Hey, what are they playing that game at, Joe? Vegas. Vegas. Hey, hey, well, aren't that right there. What? Oh, that's right there. No, I'm sleeping.
Starting point is 00:13:56 I'm getting me some rest. Hold on. You don't want to go to the game. I can go with you. I don't. I don't. Do you want to go to the game, Joe? Come on.
Starting point is 00:14:03 I'm winning. What's up, Ocho? Where are we going? We can fly out there, man. When the game is? Saturday. Oh, damn, I got to be in Philly, man. Yeah, see, I knew it.
Starting point is 00:14:13 I think I got something to do, too. And I got to be in my bed. You ain't got to be in a, you, you ain't got to be in a bed. You don't have to. You don't have to. What I got to do? I mean, I'm going to tell you like crazy. Joe told him and lean on me.
Starting point is 00:14:29 What are you saying? All you got to do, stay black. And when it's time to go, it's time to go. That's it. Anything else outside of that? You got to, we can go to the game. No, you can't. Amen.
Starting point is 00:14:42 I do not wish to go to the game. Hold on. I had never seen Luca play. So I wanted to see Luca. So if the Lakers was playing, you would have went to the game? I absolutely would have went to the game. Absolutely. 1,000, a trillion percent.
Starting point is 00:14:55 You would have said, you would have said a court side? 10 million percent. Damn. If they do, if they did it like the first time they did it, Joe, you know, it was like, it really wasn't like no court side. It's kind of hard to explain. Right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:14 But it was cool. It was cool. The Lakers won the first one. They beat Indiana. LeBron was the MVP of the thing. So, yeah, it was. really good. But yeah, that was my gosh. Like, oh, yeah, Lakers, they let me down.
Starting point is 00:15:28 So I guess I got to wait for another game to see Luca. Yeah, it was uphill climb all night, man. Yeah, and they got up to a great start. I thought the Lakers got off to a really good start. But then, look, and the thing is, if you get off to a great start and you're not playing defense, that's fine. But what happens when you start missing shots and you're not playing defense? And you can't keep nobody in front of you.
Starting point is 00:15:50 So now all of a sudden, lay up, they miss a shot, they get the rebound, back. You was up sick. Now you're up for. Keldon Johnson comes in, hit back to back threes to get them going. And then from that point on, they really never looked back. I don't, for me, I never got the sense that the Lakers were really
Starting point is 00:16:07 into it. I mean, I think they cut it to eight and then the Spurs push it back to 12 right before the half. And then they come right out of the half and hit a three to start. Lakers hit a three. And the next thing you know, they go boom, boom, boom. And the next thing you know, what was a 12 point lead is a 20 point lead.
Starting point is 00:16:23 It's just like that. The Spurs are deep, man. They've got a deep team, man. They got a lot of guys who contribute. They don't just lean on one guy. They hit you in a lot of two ways. So I was impressed. I ain't going to lie.
Starting point is 00:16:35 I was impressed. They've been playing great ball all season. So it was, you know, good to kind of see them going L.A. And really take that challenge and really just take control of the game. I looked up to start the second half. I thought the Lakers was down 10 or so. The next thing I know, they're down 20. Yeah, they were.
Starting point is 00:16:51 they started they were down team they were down you know okay they made a three and then um i think it was barns to come back in match it with a three and then next thing you know they go like go eight oh and and just like that it's it's 20 it's 24 and they really really like i said i think austin reeves struggled tonight he just didn't have it tonight for whatever reason look like you said it was a tough game for them in philly because that was a game lucca played extremely well um ron had what 20 and played extremely well. Austin did what he does.
Starting point is 00:17:27 But the night, they just didn't have it. And I think I don't know if it was, I think it was more sort of spurs than the Lakers not having. And I think the Spurs aided them than not having it. They were able to push the pace. They got guys that can handle the ball. Stephon Castle is amazing. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:17:44 Bro. Yeah, he had a head head. Then Darren Fox had, you know, Austin Reeves on skates. Keldon Johnson came in, Bassel didn't even really play that well tonight. I thought Cornett gave him some valuable minutes inside with his presence, rebounding, challenging shots.
Starting point is 00:17:59 They turned the ball over, had an opportunity to probably put a little bit more distance between when they had a six-point lead, maybe could have pushed it to eight to ten, but some turnovers, they got careless and, you know, layups on the other end. And so, no, I think, look, I think the Lakers are going to be fine. Do I think right now they probably need another defender? They probably need another defender that can defend on the perimeter. because it seemed like Vanderbilt is out of the rotation, Joe. Yeah, I know, I ain't seen it, man.
Starting point is 00:18:26 I like old Vando. I like his energy and effort that he brings to the game. Yeah. And it seems like tonight they could have used it. I thought Marcus Smart came in and gave him some big menace. But, okay, Ocho, the Lakers are going to struggle, man, when you can't keep guys in front of you and you keep getting your defense broke down, and the guy spraying out for three throwing lives, shooting floaters,
Starting point is 00:18:45 it's just, that's going to be hard. That's going to be tough. It's going to be tough to deal with. So they're going to have to find. But he's going to be hard for Vando to play also, Joe, because he can't shoot the three. Who? Because they're going to come help off Luca. They're going to come help off Reeves.
Starting point is 00:18:58 They're going to come help off Braun. So when they swing it, do you see how many open threes that Mark and Smart got? Yeah. When they kept swinging, kept swinging, they kept swinging. You see Ruy, open threes, open threes. The Toronto game, what happened? They collapsed on Braun. Luke Ruy, wide open.
Starting point is 00:19:15 Yeah. Marcus Smart. I mean, he came in. I think he might have got 10 or 11 three-point attempts. And I'm not so sure any of them was contested. So that's why it's going to be hard for Vando to play. Yeah, he's a good wing defender, on ball defender. But if you can't shoot the three, it's going to be hard for you to get, unless you're Aiton, D.A., unless you're Aiton,
Starting point is 00:19:39 everybody's going to have to be able to shoot the three. Yeah, it's just, it's tough because they put, it puts so much pressure on the Lakers perimeter guys because Austin, Luca, and Brian, obviously, you know, all perimeter guys. and they got to be efficient. Okay, Ocho, for them to really look good. You know, they can't really, you know, afford to, you know, not have good nights because it's going to be nice like this.
Starting point is 00:20:02 Well, you don't really get a lot of points in the paint and you can't really depend on aid like that since, you know, obviously LeBron's come back, his, you know, his productivity is going to probably kind of de window a little bit, you know? Yeah, yeah, it is. He's not going to get as many lob from Luca. I mean, LeBron was looking for him a little bit tonight.
Starting point is 00:20:22 But hey, look, I expect, long as they can give us, look, I'm expecting it somewhere. If he can give us 14 to 16 on the night, Joe, with a double-figure rebounds, that's pretty much what you can expect for him. Every once in a while, he'll surprise you and give you 24 and 12, 24 and 14. But that's not a normal occurrence. I'm not really expecting. I'm not been to set my clock by that.
Starting point is 00:20:45 No. In the bowl, people say, hey, you can sit your clock by him. No, you can't. No, you can't. So, uh, look. Starting point is 00:25:05 Remandre Stevens is my sleeper this week. This is a matchup where I think I can slide in Stevenson into my flex position and he could deliver double-digit points this week. Drake takes the snap. Hands it off. Ramonari running it right. And we're running into the end zone. Touchdown!
Starting point is 00:25:19 It's never too late to turn your fantasy season around. Subscribe to the NFL Fantasy Football Podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm anxious to see what they look like, what the Spurs look like against the Thunder, because the Thunder was suffocating. Tonight, they crushed the Sun, beat them by almost 40,
Starting point is 00:25:38 beat them by 39 points. They weigh you down, man. The Thunder improved to a, 24 and 1, and not tied for the best record of NBA history through 25 games. Shea scored 28 points on 11 of 15 shooting. Chet had 24 points on 9 of 13 shooting. Let us think in for a second. And neither one of them played in the four.
Starting point is 00:26:03 Hey, hey, Joe and Unk, you think the Thunder have a chance to actually beat the Warriors record? Yes. Yeah, I do. And I think they want to. Yeah. So basically what you're all telling me is they basically are going to repeat.
Starting point is 00:26:20 I don't really be. I'm being said that. Oh, you're serious. They're going to be it. Man, they look like a team on a mission, Ocho. They don't, they're not playing. Do you see them boys out there, man, how they compete? They play hard, man.
Starting point is 00:26:31 They play hard. They pick up full court and what it does. It wears you down. Yeah. You know what I mean? And they hit you in waves. They got guys coming out of the bench who get into it. They're not playing.
Starting point is 00:26:41 Hmm. And they're sincere. You know what? What's, I think, the most impressive thing about them, about this team, that it looks to me from the outside looking in and, Joe, you would know better than I would, is that they sincerely, genuinely like each other. Now, I know there's not a whole lot going on an OKC. There ain't a whole lot of things you can do. You can't go to Rock on Radeo Drive or you can't go Canal or you can't go to Arbazel and you can't do all those things in OKC. But for whatever reason, they sincerely genuinely, I look to me, they really like each other.
Starting point is 00:27:12 Yeah. I love to see them when one's doing an interview, when She's doing an interview, everybody's standing around and they watch it. They clap them for. And that's what you got to have. Yeah. Hey, A, A, Ocho, and they understand their assignment, man.
Starting point is 00:27:25 They, they not hung over from the championship they just won. Look, they, what you say, Uncle, they got the best record through 26 games, 25 games. They tied with the Warriors, 24 and 1 through 25 games. Man, they're not playing, man. They, you know, they really taking the game serious and understanding. what's their stake and how they can, you know, stamp their way into NBA history.
Starting point is 00:27:49 You know what I mean? This is, it's amazing to watch, bro. Like, how they hit you in waves, you can't double shave for real because they got too many guys. All the guys can shoot three, self-heartenedstein. The game looked too easy for him. Joe, there was 52 of 88 from the floor. They shot 59% from the floor.
Starting point is 00:28:09 They shot 55% from the three. They shot 92% from the free throw line. They out rebounded. They only out rebounding by six, but their biggest lead of the game was 53. Yeah, right. It was ugly. Did the other team even show up?
Starting point is 00:28:29 Did you at least pinch you? Well, it looked like they didn't take the warmups off if they did show up. Okay, C, got right to it. Yeah. They got right to it. They did not fool around. And that's what they,
Starting point is 00:28:45 they're not fooling around. They're dispatching teams. And, hey, let's go ahead and do what we need to do and get up out of here. Get up out of here. Hey, hey, and Shay making easy work. He's getting his numbers quick. He ain't playing.
Starting point is 00:28:58 He's getting right to it. And then they don't have a drop-off when they do substitute. You know, guys coming in off the bench, they're still playing with that intensity and effort that it takes to be a championship team. I enjoy watching them, man. I enjoy watching them. They, they're not, they're not my cup until you know, I like, you know, for me, I like stuff.
Starting point is 00:29:16 The NBA is built on stars, Joe. You know that. It's always been about that. That's why everybody's trying to get one. It's been about magic. It's been about bird. It's been about Jordan. It's been about LeBron.
Starting point is 00:29:28 It's been about Steph. It's been about KD. The NBA has always, it's been about Dr. J. Right. That's what forced to murder, Dr. J. So it's not going to change. It's not going to change. That's why everybody tries to get one.
Starting point is 00:29:43 Because if you've got one, the fans are going to come to watch. When you go on the road, friends are going to want to see. Yeah. So Luca and LeBron and Steph, and it is what it is. But to watch them play collectively
Starting point is 00:30:01 and to see how they do things and to see, as a matter of fact, this business, we're going to take care of business. Yeah, we're going to rag each other. I can just imagine what those plane rides and those bus rides to the stadium. I can just imagine what it's like because I believe they genuinely
Starting point is 00:30:14 and sincerely like each other. But when they own that court, they're straight business. Yeah. And they make the game easier for each other. Meaning like you can't keep them dudes in front of you. They're going to always getting that paint. We always talk about paint touches
Starting point is 00:30:30 to where you make the game easy where you can spray out for threes, where you can throw check lives. You know what I mean? You get those guys involved like that, man. It's just, it's downhill. out to there from there. It's just exciting. It's an exciting brand of basketball to watch and the pressure, the pressure that they bring on defense. See, they defense, it initiates their
Starting point is 00:30:53 offense. It ignites their offense, meaning like they get so many easy baskets off just playing great defense. And it's nothing the other team can do. It's suffocating, man. It's suffocating and the chemistry that they play with. The continuity that they have is amazing, bro. Like, I, I'm really, I hadn't seen a lot of teams play like this. You know, you're going to, I used to the words right out of my mouth. Being able to play on both ends of the courts, because then boys so young, they got their leg, that fourth quarter come, they still got their legs up underneath. They're able to do that.
Starting point is 00:31:26 You know the best part about it is? What's that? Is that they got a guy that ain't nobody to challenge shake? The thing to help Michael Jordan is that Scottie Pippen never challenged him says, I'm just as good. I should be the A side. Yeah. When you got that, now, it's rightfully so.
Starting point is 00:31:43 I understand Kobe. We saw what Kobe became, but it kind of rub, it got, magic and Kareem. Magic was really, hey, I'm good. I'm going to stay in my place. Y'all do a, hey, Pat Riley goes to magic. Matt Raleigh used to call him, Pat Riley used to call Magic Johnson Buck. Hey, Buck, I'm going to need you to score more. They say, hey, you talk to Kareem about this?
Starting point is 00:32:05 You didn't run that by Karee. Yeah, I talked to him. He said good. Okay. Magic wins the MVP. So as long as it stays like that, you've got to have a peckin order, Joe. I agree.
Starting point is 00:32:17 You got to have a CEO. You got to have a president. You got to have a VP. Everybody has to play their, everybody has to play the UK. Hey, man, it's hard to put Denzel, Samuel Jackson, Tom Hanks, and Tom Cruise in the same movie.
Starting point is 00:32:31 How do you do that, oh, Joe? Hey. It sounds like box office to me. Yeah, it sounds like box. Who named being, who named first? What you just said? Yeah. Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, Denzel Washington, and Samuel Jackson.
Starting point is 00:32:49 Who named going for her? And just for good measures, I'm going to throw Jack Nicholson in there when he was in this doing his thing. All right. Who name going first, Ocho? Hey. I don't. Hey, that's exactly.
Starting point is 00:33:02 That's tough. Did you hear Prince? Prince say he was supposed to be in, uh, uh, When it beat it, when Michael Jackson tell Wesley Snight, your ass is mine. Yeah, yeah. Pretty safe. Well, who's saying that to who?
Starting point is 00:33:18 He definitely not saying that to me. And I'm not going to say that to him. Right. So we'd not been to do nothing together. That's kind of like Harlem Night's, uh, oh, that's my movie. Oh, you're talking about when you had Eddie and Richard, Randfox, you had a, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh,
Starting point is 00:33:37 who was my car? Robin Harris. Oh, you said, Renardo Ray, yeah. Charlie Murphy. Oh, what's, Delorese? Delorese, yeah. Hey, Richard Pryor.
Starting point is 00:33:51 Yeah. So when you, when you, are the same thing with life, you had Bernie Matt, you had Eddie Murphy, you had Martin Lawrence, you have, hey,
Starting point is 00:34:03 okay. Hey, um, it may be, it may be a peck and a, okay. but all them guys are oozing with confidence. Like Jaylon Williams, since he's been back, they hadn't dropped off.
Starting point is 00:34:16 He's been, I think he's been pretty aggressive. You know, he's asserted to himself to, you know, let people know that he's still that dude. I'm still here. You know what I mean? Yeah. It's going to be hard to beat them dudes, man. Oh, for sure.
Starting point is 00:34:31 Oh, for sure. For sure. Yeah. SGA gave Chris Paul for the team success in recent years. Chris was really the first. person to show me what it meant to be a professional. He was always doing extra. It was more so off the court than on the court.
Starting point is 00:34:45 It's the things that you don't think about as a kid. As a kid, you're taught to just work super hard, but you're really not taught nutrition, taking care of your body, getting massages, getting treatment, those type of things. He was always on top of. He just had to get better.
Starting point is 00:34:59 He just had to get better mentality in every way, in every way of life. See? That's what it takes. See, that's what okay. seed needed that's not what the clippers need you see they got james hardin he ain't no young guy yeah they got kawai yeah no young guy right they got zoom box he not no young guy Chris done he ain't no young guy you see oh cho you see what you need yes so just because you get hired at the bank
Starting point is 00:35:29 that don't mean they need a teller that don't mean they need a loan officer sometimes they just need somebody work security somebody sometimes they just need somebody to take out the trash you need understand what you're getting hired for just because you work at the bank that don't make you the CEO that don't make you the number one loan officer you see what I'm saying on Joe but in you know the hard the hard part especially with people with ego and pride most of them don't know they role everybody want to be the boss everybody want to be the head honcho I mean you you get you get that job at the bank everybody want to be the CEO yeah there is no pecking order because people can't set pride to ego aside I think with the thunder have done really well is everybody
Starting point is 00:36:08 understands their role. And it fits perfectly. And that's why they play so goddamn well. Somebody bring coffee. Somebody bring milk. Somebody bring the donuts. Somebody bring the breakfast sandwiches. Who got the napkins? Who got the paper? Who got the knives and forks? Everybody got a job. Everybody got a roll.
Starting point is 00:36:32 And the way y'all look at it, and I think the way they see it, Joe, nobody role is more important than the other. Yeah, you might be. bringing the donuts and all I'm asked to do is bring plastic wear. All I might be asked to bring napkins. Yeah. You know what? I might not be asked to bring anything. Because it's not my week to.
Starting point is 00:36:50 Right. The next week, I might have to bring coffee. I might need to bring juice. Yeah. Yeah. You can tell though when you watch them play, when you watch OKCC play. They know, you know, Shays the leader and those guys follow his lead, man. It's a, it's a beautiful thing to watch. But like I say, man,
Starting point is 00:37:08 They never have a drop-off, though. It don't matter who's in the game. That's championship pedigree, championship basketball. And, yes, I do have them repeat. Yeah, it's going to be tough for somebody to beat them in seven games. Yeah. See, that's the thing about football, Joe. You get one shot.
Starting point is 00:37:23 I'll tell you, you have an off game. Your ass going home. Right. I just got to be better than you that day. That day. That day. That day. And your ass going home in basketball, somebody had an off day.
Starting point is 00:37:35 Just like, what was that, 85? when the Celtics blew the Legals out, they called the Memorial Day Massacre, beat them by like 30, 40. Everybody thought it was over. Legger came right back. Wawa. Before we move on to football,
Starting point is 00:37:53 a lot of shows have responded to the podcast Challenge, Ochoo, Pat McAfee, the Pivot, 85 South. How do we like our chances, guys? Hey, man, listen, all you hear and right, If you listen to the people that responded,
Starting point is 00:38:09 if you listen to what they're saying, that's false confidence, man. They're not even talking with confidence. Like, we really do this. We really do this. We really competed at the highest level. Joe, you competed at the highest level. Unk, you competed at the highest level.
Starting point is 00:38:22 I competed at the highest level, and I talk that shit when I do it. Ain't nobody that responded today going to beat us in nothing. Nathaniel, and I stand on that. I stamp that. I'm talking about 10 toes. And if I was prime, eight toes.
Starting point is 00:38:37 Hey, they're not doing nothing with us, man. With all due respect to them, if there's a way that we can make this happen, we talk about making history, you know, all us unite and having fun a podcast Olympics or a podcast decathlon, whatever it may be, and just doing something competitive. Man, that would be so fun and so dope, man,
Starting point is 00:38:58 for all parties involved. It's like one big ass fan. Yeah, it's very uplifting. you know, podcast taking shots at each other and bliss and that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And you know what, let's do some, let's show some positivity.
Starting point is 00:39:11 And everybody getting bred in this. Yes. Yeah, we know something making more than other, but we all able to provide a very good life for our families. So you know what? Let's do something positive. Like, think, but hey, y'all don't know. There's nobody from a night camp on that table tennis.
Starting point is 00:39:29 Because Shannon Lee ain't to be best with. That's a big. Poole, pool, bowling. No. Y'all, we call it, it's pool, but you want to call it billiards, we call it whatever you want to. You're getting your ass to up.
Starting point is 00:39:43 Yeah, yeah, yeah. And it don't matter how many balls you want on the table. Yeah, hey, what do you want to play eight ball? You want to play nine ball. You want to play five ball. What about it? Play eight, we play whatever you want to play. As a matter of fact,
Starting point is 00:39:57 just to make sure you know that it's real skill, we'll play last pocket. wherever the ball go in, the last pocket, the eight ball got to go in that pocket. Why y'all bumping them? Because I know both of you don't know nothing about that. Everybody's talking about, man, I know. Hey, P-Mack, I heard you talk about you know how to play tongue.
Starting point is 00:40:13 Boy, look at him. Hey, P-Back, you must be happy. Hey, hey, guess what? Guess what? Guess host for the day of the Pat McAfee show. Yours truly, don't play. Hey, it'll be Ocho, Joe. Hosting the P-Match show for a whole three hours on here, being in YouTube.
Starting point is 00:40:31 Hey, you know what else would be a good one? I just thought about. What is it? Paintball. Pain ball. Pain ball and three on three on three on three paint ball. I'm just trying to think, I'm just trying to think of things that are competitive that would be fun, not just for us to do. But I'm talking about the masses is going to be tuned.
Starting point is 00:40:51 Whatever. Horseshoe, whatever, bowling. Somebody mentioned bowling. Whatever. As a matter of fact, if y'all want to, we throw y'all a lot. down the lane. Look out of yourself. Hey, how are y'all
Starting point is 00:41:05 want to do it? Hey, we can do the frisbee. We can skip rocks across the wall. Oh, yeah. You get the most of the frisbee, whatever. Hey, Joe, what you know about skipping rocks? Man, you don't know nothing about skipping
Starting point is 00:41:15 on rocks. I don't know about skipping rocks. If you're from the country, you know by skipping rocks on the lake. Hey, dogball. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:27 Man, listen. Hey, it's a lot out there, too, boy. Hey. Everybody, I mean, everybody talking, I mean, I really like the false bravado. Everybody, what I can do, yeah, okay, okay. Yeah, yeah. Sound good. Hey, this is what I'm talking about right here.
Starting point is 00:41:43 This is that cool, this is some of that cool shit I'm talking about right here. Hey, yeah, yeah. Whatever you want to do, table, like I said, table tennis, whatever. Hey, Marbles, we can play jacks. Whatever. When you drop them out, pick up the jacks, yeah, and pick up one jack, two, Jacks, three jacks, four jacks, if you swipe them all. Little hand, that, kind of hand-ass people.
Starting point is 00:42:07 Hey, remember, you remember, you remember, get like me, y'all might have called or something. Yeah. Yeah, we flip it calling, get like me. Hit it. We both got heads. Like, let me get that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:18 Hey, we can you close it to the wall. We can put it in the cup. However. Yeah. Hey, what 85 South said? They said, what they said? They get so, hey, first of all, D. They probably go send D.
Starting point is 00:42:30 Lowe's and Chico. Three, look here. Already, though, Lose, where he can do some. But I know I know D.C. Ain't, I ain't no athlete. I know Chico ain't no athlete. Nope, athletics does not run in that gene pool.
Starting point is 00:42:51 Hey, we got to make this happen, man. We ready. That's going to be dope, right? So, whatever. Whatever. In the words of a, uh, uh, uh, uh, Um, Maxwell, wherever, whenever. I like it.

Which is why one of the most revolutionary acts that we can do as people just breathe.
Starting point is 00:46:15 Next to the wound is their gifts. You can't even find your gifts unless you go through the wound. That's the hard thing. You think, well, I'm going to get my guess. I don't want to go through all that. You've got to go through the wounds you're laughing. Listening to other people's near-death experiences, and it's all they say. In conclusion, love is the answer. It's right there in the name. Every week, Florio, LQ, and I bring you the latest news from around the league. We break down every matchup, give you our analysis and advice so you know who to start, sit, drop, and trade
Starting point is 00:47:05 to bring that championship trophy home. I just want to remind everyone how good Rishie Rice was last season and these three healthy games. He was the wide receiver 2 in fantasy. I think Rishie Rite just goes off this week. The Chiefs come on a flip pass to Rice. This side, touchdown! Remandre Stevens is my sleeper this week.
Starting point is 00:47:22 This is a matchup where I think I can slide in Stevenson into my flex position and he could deliver double-digit points this week. Drake takes the snap, hands it off. Remodry, running it right, and we're running into the end zone. Touchdown! It's never too late to turn your fantasy season around. Subscribe to the NFL Fantasy Football Podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:45 Aberberry reported that Kevin Stefansky likely wants out of Cleveland. The one thing that would be really frustrating for me, if the coach in Cleveland you've been trying to make decision for football reasons and no one will accept them. tell you just knowing the number of people that I know worked there, that the quarterback situation was handled this year over the last six, seven months in a way that was based solely on how guys were performing in practice, it makes Defansky look
Starting point is 00:48:11 bad now because you can do it's played well. If you're Kevin and you're making all these decisions based on football decision and you made a lot of other decisions over the years that were constantly second-guessed this way is constantly in circus. Well, you'd be sick of it. Has this become
Starting point is 00:48:27 you know, this hasn't worked out for either one of us in the last couple of years so maybe it's just time. He's six and 24, a 250 win percentage over the last two years. He's a two-time coach of the year, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:48:43 Yeah. What do you think? I mean, it's tough. I think DeFansky is in a tough spot. Obviously, we're 6 and 24. Having, you know, on your resume, being coached the year two times, I think that that saved you
Starting point is 00:48:56 and gives you a little bit more grace. But obviously, you know, you can't operate without a quarterback. You can't operate without a quarterback. So understanding what we've seen from Shador so far and the stuff and the action that occurred before he was put in position to be the starter, obviously you always want your best player out there playing quarterback for you that gives you your best chance to win. And most of the time, I say it all the time, uncle, you say it all the time.
Starting point is 00:49:21 Players get coaches fired. Players get coaches fired. So for a coach, you would always want to be in a position to have players in there that can do right by you, that can do right by you, not just you, but your team as well and give yourself a chance and give you some grace and longevity as a coach. So I'm not sure why they're playing, why the games have been played in general in Cleveland has been a damn circus, huh? It's been a goddamn circuit, Joe. So it just some of the play call out, I don't want to get into all that. We've all seen it. We've all heard it.
Starting point is 00:49:54 something's right. And anyone that says it's not right based on all the evidence that we've seen since the draft up to this point. I mean, you just turn the blind eye to the bullshit. What is the situation, Ocho,
Starting point is 00:50:11 where Kevin Stefansky really wanted to place your door and he was handcuffed. But I, hold on. You think that's possible? That's what it sounds like to me. I mean, if if we're to believe what Albert Briggs being reported, how much,
Starting point is 00:50:29 how much say do we believe, how much say do we believe that Kevin Stafansky have over the final 50, the final 53? How much say does he have in the draft? How much say does he have in free agency? Does he have, say, like, say Mike Tomlin, like an Andy Reed, like a Sean McVeigh?
Starting point is 00:50:50 He has a Mike Drable? You think he has that kind of? had to say, Ocho? I would think so. Or Sean Payton. Two-time coach of the year. Wood has some say-so, and some of the personnel that he brings in, I would think so. I told a joke, I told him the other night, right?
Starting point is 00:51:06 With some of the things that were going on, I felt like basically Kevin Safansky was basically Nico Harris. Yeah. I felt he was... He's taking the fall. Yeah, you did. He's taking the fall for all for the upper management above his pay grade that the owner came out and said,
Starting point is 00:51:22 listen, this wasn't my pick. I didn't so i think he's taking the the blunt and all the heat and and his hands are tied so i mean uncle what you said it might be a possibility we had no control over it and maybe he did want him to start the whole time but you know there's a pecking order like we just talked about yeah there's a third round pick oh well well he's a third round pick for a reason so he's always going to be get first dibs no matter what and you're not know you're not you're not normally taking quarterbacks a third and because you're asking for trouble the last time we saw somebody take a quarterback because look go back and look at Washington Mike didn't want to take
Starting point is 00:52:08 a quarterback didn't want to trade that pick he felt they could sit right there where they were and get the quarterback that they wanted he really liked cousins he felt he could get cousins where they got cousin and could be fine yeah you're in summary cap hell because remember that was the year that the uncapped year and everybody dumped all their money in that. Dallas and Washington had to pay all that salary cap money because they had dumped all that in a non-capped year.
Starting point is 00:52:33 And the NFL said, nah, you couldn't do that. You're cheating. So they take a quarterback at number two and then they turn right around and take cousins. How do you think this is going to work out on Joe? You take a quarterback in the third round and then you take another quarterback in the fifth round? How did you think
Starting point is 00:52:50 this is going to work out? think maybe maybe security that's the only thing i think of security you're asking for trouble understanding that joe flacko was going to only give only give you so much time left at his age you know okay we got but are we sure Dylan gabriel is the answer you know what we're not sure so we're going to take another one why you take it huh who goes into normally that's not how you spoke that's not how you draft joe you don't draft the guy and say well he might not be it if you think he might not be here, why you drafted? That's a good question.
Starting point is 00:53:24 I'm not going to the store. You buy the car? Man, this car might put me down, but I'm going to buy it anyway. Yeah. Go ahead, Joe. Listen, but when we think about it statistically from training camp to preseason, Shadour has had the best statistics from what we've seen. Yes.
Starting point is 00:53:45 You know what I mean? So it's like, to me, it almost kind of feels like perfect time. Like you say, Dylan Gabriel went third round and Shadur went fifth. It's kind of a picking order up. I'm kind of picking back what Ocho said. But I think Shadour has now took the rings and I don't think he's going to give it back.
Starting point is 00:54:04 I don't know. I think the young man is he knows what's that state. He knows everybody's watching. And, man, he just looked like a guy with a lot of confidence and poise out there. He looked great on the center. And do you think about it, Ocho? Look at the guys he was throwing to.
Starting point is 00:54:21 All the guys that he was throwing to were the rookies that came in with him. Ooh. Yeah. So it's not an accident. Those are most of the guys that he was getting the reps with. Right. It's just hard for me to see a scenario.
Starting point is 00:54:34 I mean, like I said, some people say that didn't happen, but I've never been on a team where the backup didn't get something, didn't get at least two reps of period. Right. Yeah, always. I mean, we had a veteran quarterback in Trent Delford, who backed up to, Tony Banks, and he still got
Starting point is 00:54:51 two reps of period. Yeah. We had a veteran, Randall Cunningham, who backed up Elvis Gerbach, and he still got two reps a period. Hey, you play with Randall? Yeah, I play with. Yeah. Hey, what is
Starting point is 00:55:07 that? In 2001, in Baltimore. Hey, that's dope. I ain't know Randall was in, I was there. Yeah. I didn't know Randall was there. Uh-huh. And that's dope, man. So this notion that you wouldn't give a rookie that had the potential to go in the game any reps
Starting point is 00:55:28 when veterans that have been starters had been to Pro Bowls was getting reps. It was just unconscionable to me that people thought that was okay. That's what I couldn't understand. Look, if y'all don't understand, And I know, I don't know. I'm like, man, I don't know what's going on out here.
Starting point is 00:55:52 Look, we know every coach, every general manager has their guy in the media. When they want to get certain things out, Joe. Yeah, they know how to get it out. I'm not saying this is the case, but I'm saying I know that to be factual. So when I want to get something out, I know who to get it to. sources in the NFL No, your source with the team told you that
Starting point is 00:56:22 ain't no NFL your source with the team told you that I know how it works Yeah I just like me I just like to talk because I don't like to get information
Starting point is 00:56:33 I don't because I'll be I be using it and they go yeah the person that I'm talking about go no I got that from a very very reputable person so I just let stuff go I just like you know hey
Starting point is 00:56:46 from my from my personal experience and how stuff go but y'all best believe I'll be knowing oh yeah I'd be knowing but I mean he's a two-time coach of the year Ocho I don't know look the Baker situation how that worked out but should do or how that's playing out who knows maybe maybe they maybe they want a high draft pick I don't know but those I believe and Doses is going to win the Heisman trophy on Saturday. Yeah. And he, Ocho, he might turn around and he might be, who knows, great, historically great.
Starting point is 00:57:28 Right. But as I look at him and look at Shadur, I mean, if Shadur had that kind of offensive line protection when he was in college, are we sure? Yeah. So I don't know if the fansky won out. Maybe that's a situation where they probably want him out. I don't think he'd be unemployed long. I mean, he is a two-time coach of the year Ocho. He is fairly young.
Starting point is 00:58:00 But look, there are going to be some openings. What? Well, first of all, we already know. There are going to be two openings in Tennessee and the Giants. And the likelihood there might be more. Who knows? It might be one in Las Vegas. damn i don't know yeah and pete just got there huh yeah just be leaving too but hey the thing is
Starting point is 00:58:28 and the NFL remember oh cho a couple years ago they sent that memo out man y'all got to stop hiring and firing because think about it the john gruden thing he got AP on the contract he still got to pay that now you got Pete so you got three guys that ain't coaching for you that you pay it. And then if you bring another coach in, you got to pay him. That's for and staff. Impatience.
Starting point is 00:58:54 Impatience. So it's going to be very interesting to see how this thing plays out, but at the end of the day, you know it's in that division. Joe Burroughs in that division. When he's healthy, he's unbelievable. The thing is that he's not healthy all the time.
Starting point is 00:59:12 Lamar. is in that division. I just, Lamar is hurt and he's missing throws and he's not like, he's not running like he once did, Ocho, because I think he's afraid he's going to hurt that hamstring again. And so he,
Starting point is 00:59:29 look, Lamar is missing throws that Lamar hadn't missed since his rookie year. Yeah. So in order for you to be in that division, your quarterback's got to play well. You got Aaron Rogers. Now we don't know if he's going to come back, you know,
Starting point is 00:59:44 and coming back, I don't know. But you got to, you got to have a quarterback in that division. Just like the AFC, the AFC, uh, West. You got to have a quarterback. AFC South, quarterback. You got Stroud, you got Lawrence. And they had competent quarterback play in, and ended for a while until he got hurt. And now it seemed like he's going to hell in the handbag.
Starting point is 01:00:08 They brought a granddad out of retirement. So it's going to be very, very interesting to see how this thing plays. out in Cleveland. Yeah, y'all think they're going to sign Phila River? Oh, yeah. Yeah, they already signed it. Oh, did they? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:21 The question is he going to start. That's the question. And the question, if they're going to sign him, he's going to start. I'm saying, who else they got that can play in front of him? They got Riley Leonard, but he got a banged up knee. Yeah. I mean, he's starting. He's starting.
Starting point is 01:00:35 He started. Listen, a, a, Joe, I mean, there's a relationship and understanding of scheme and tactics between Shane Steichen and Philip Rivers. So the system, he's very familiar with it. And because he's so familiar with the system, all it is now is getting as much time in and chemistry as you can, you know, with the offense and with the players right now. But he's going to start Sunday.
Starting point is 01:01:00 I'm not sure. For what he does is he's giving and hoping and giving that team a chance to keep their head above water because they still have a chance to make the playoffs. And they're just trying to see this. We're going to kick these tires. and see what Philip Rivers can do for us, you know, for the rest of the season to see if we can make a run,
Starting point is 01:01:18 make a run at the playoffs. And instead of it's in there. They got to stay high because they gave up those two first-round picks. Hey. They get up the two first-round picks. And the further you fall without understanding, the how those picks are. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:31 So guess what? Next year, if Daniel Jones doesn't come back healthy until because he was dealing with a broken leg and now he's got to torn Achilles, don't you? So he's got to heal two injuries. Yeah. now you mess around it be like the indie of old where the Jets going to get a top five pick
Starting point is 01:01:50 where they might have two top five picks because they're going to look like they might be some sloth because they're looking for a quarterback too. You know, you're right back at square one. Hey, them injuries are going to take a while out of hill, man. You ain't going to be the Rush Dan Jones back with them two injuries right there. And that was the only reason that was playing.
Starting point is 01:02:09 With that broken, I think it was a Tibby or the Lord, leg tip fibula yeah so i that's the only reason playing joe is because they were in prime position to make the playoffs make the playoffs that mean the pick's going to probably be way on down there 24 somewhere between 24 and 32 you can live with that i ain't really trying to get no top 10 no you know team pick, no early team, no top 10 pick. I ain't really trying to do that for you, bro. Right. Because they went all in.
Starting point is 01:02:47 When you make that trade for Salt's Gardner, you're basically saying, I'm all in. I'm jumping on this thing with both feet. Yeah. How long South's going to be out? He nicked. I mean, they got a calf injury. Ain't no telling. And then plus Daniel Jones,
Starting point is 01:03:03 it don't matter what Saul's doing. You got to have a quarterback. Yeah. Hell, he can't throw. the ball. And he might be 44, but that's all you got. And even at 44, man, it's hard for me to believe, it's hard for me to believe that you couldn't go, you couldn't, you couldn't, you couldn't scour 31 other teams
Starting point is 01:03:26 practice squad and say, hey, bro, this is an opportunity for you to start. Absolutely not. I mean, they reached out to Sam Ellinger, who's on the Broncos practice squad. He said, no, I'm good. He said, all y'all going to do is get me over there. and then at the end of the season, y'all are going to cut me. Let me stay right there where I am.
Starting point is 01:03:43 I know the system. I'm cool. Hold on. I got one for you better. Even if they're all 31 other teams with 31 other backups, how many of those 31 other backups are better than Phillip Rivers,
Starting point is 01:03:57 even right now at 44? Well, we're going to find out on Sunday. Right. And so I want you to break your ass off here on Sunday. All right. Because you, listen, you know this. your spidey senses, even in the off-season,
Starting point is 01:04:13 from the time that you, from the time of your last game, until the time you come back, your spotty senses have to heighten. They have to get back in alignment. They don't tingle like they once did. Can you imagine, Ocho, can you imagine, let's just say for the sake of argument, Ocho, you 30. You don't play the game for five years. And they say, you know what, Ocho, come on back out.
Starting point is 01:04:34 And you come back out there at 35. Boy, you're going to be running through man's on read. They're going to be tearing your ass up. You're going to be Yeah I think if anything He might be just a beat off That's it
Starting point is 01:04:50 Yeah It ain't nothing change Oh choice It's not like he was running It's not like he was Michael Vick Before he left No absolutely not He was stationed
Starting point is 01:04:58 He had cement shoes on When he was 25 Shit man He was gonna be handing That is lead He's gonna be handing that thing on If y'all didn't When you see what they did, is that because they know Daniel Jones can't run like he was dead, they stack the line.
Starting point is 01:05:16 They say, no, we're not going to let John J.T. beat us. Beat us throwing the ball. So they took that away from him. Oh, Joe, the Eagles positivity rabbit makes a quick exit. The Jeff McLean, the Philadelphia Inquirer, the inflatable rabbit that was installed last week to bring good vibes to the Eagle locker room has been removed. They lost to the charges in the first and only game played with the rabbit in the house. Joe, you have to do some things like this in the locker room to help you break a losing street. Nah, not that I could think of, not that I can think of, but you got to get that up out of them, boy.
Starting point is 01:05:53 Hey, that was a, that was a tough. He lost. You got to go, bro. Yeah. So they're going to blame it on the rabbit on? They blame it on the rabbit. Yeah, yeah, you got to blame somebody. I mean, oh, Ocho, what do you care for good luck?
Starting point is 01:06:08 A rabbit's foot. They got a whole big ass rabbit in there. They ain't break us no luck. You got to go. Yep. My brother, we went to the fair. And my brother run a rabbit's foot. You used to have rabbit foot keychain, Joe.
Starting point is 01:06:23 You remember that, Joe? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. If my brother wore a rabbit foot keychain, if my grandma took it and put the house keys on the, I'm like, I don't know why we got a hockey. Ain't nobody going to bring in this rag. I mean, nobody going to bring it here.
Starting point is 01:06:38 Trust me. One time the rob a deer break into how we robbed here. Get your broke hands up out of here. But, I mean, they didn't even get a thing a chance, though, guys. I mean, one week. Now, when you lose like that, I'll tell you y'all know, hey, hey, some gots to go. Hey, same, same thing with the raven. You see, they took all them TVs out, ping pong machine, pop a shot.
Starting point is 01:07:05 They better put them back in there because they'll be losing every day. They won a couple of games and been losing ever since. Put them back in there. As a matter of fact, brains from new ones. Y'all keep them old ones out, but bring some new ones. And let you know, that stuff
Starting point is 01:07:18 ain't got nothing to do with nothing. Man, look here, man, we had a situation where we, I think we lost, this was 94? 94, I think we started the season, 0 and 4. Damn. Man, Joe, Ocho,
Starting point is 01:07:31 we come to work. Yeah. A Wednesday. Everybody got a piece of rope by this long. in their locker. Just hold on to the road, guys. It's going to get better.
Starting point is 01:07:43 Hey, when you're getting bad, you got to find a way to shake things up, man. You got to find a way to shake things up and try to get back on track. That's the hardest part. Well, you're going to lose the street. It seems like you can't get off it. You can't. It's the same thing with the winning street. You see, like when you
Starting point is 01:07:59 go on the winter street, you can't lose. Hey, you kick a field, you kick a walk off field goal, you block a field goal, you do something. A pass interference call to keep a drive alive. Now you're able to run out the clock. Oh, Joe, there's something. But when you lose, you're like, damn.
Starting point is 01:08:16 And it's funny, too, Uncle Joe, when you win it, for some reason, luck is always on your side. Because if you win consistently, you need a little bit of luck. Obviously, preparation is one thing. But for some reason, everything always seemed to go right. The ball always bouncing your favor or the ball always bounce your way. But when you're losing You don't want to talk nobody
Starting point is 01:08:39 Hell now What are we talking about Man listen I know that feeling I promise you Boy when I first got hit Atlanta Uncle Ocho We started off
Starting point is 01:08:49 In 2005 when I first got hit Atlanta Yeah it was bad Man we started off 3 and 28 Damn Joe What? We started out 3 and 28 And y'all could have used me
Starting point is 01:09:02 Back then Joe Well hey listen Okay, Oh, Joe, I wasn't even eating. I'm coming home going right to sleep. I don't want to hang out. I don't want to do nothing. I can't even enjoy myself. When you lose it like that, you can't enjoy yourself.
Starting point is 01:09:15 You know what happened, Joe? Somebody see y'all? That's why you lose it. You need to have your ass at it in the playbook. Damn, bro, I can't get no food. I'm like, bro, I got to eat. Damn. Right.
Starting point is 01:09:28 Hey, oh. I'm in blackout. It's hard, man. And don't go to no club. Oh, man. Uh-uh. Man. Man.
Starting point is 01:09:42 If you lose, can you imagine now, uh-uh, uh-uh, uh, because it ain't like it is now. I mean, I don't know, maybe they still do it. Maybe they still, you know, guys see a guy at the club and it's like, that's why y'all lose your ass in the club all the time. Right. But, and probably now if you're at the club, they probably put that thing on social media, Joe. I mean, now you've got social media. You got platform where people see you out. Yeah, take a picture.
Starting point is 01:10:06 Yeah. It's the world small. Now, you can't do nothing, man. I'm talking about nothing. Somebody always watching. You're right. Somebody's always watching, bro. Hey, man, let me tell you what happened to me today, Joe.
Starting point is 01:10:18 Oh, Joe. I started to film this. Look at Joe. You hear George back there laughing. So I go down, Shelly order me an Uber. I go down the guy's like, Miss Davis. I was like, yeah, that's me. I go get in the Uber.
Starting point is 01:10:37 We're about 15 minutes here. Jordan called. Hey, boss, you got the wrong car. I said, nah, he said Ms. Davis. A minute later, dispatch call. He's speaker. You picked up the wrong, you picked up the wrong, you picked up the wrong passenger.
Starting point is 01:10:56 Passage, yeah. Such and such. I was like, he said Ms. Davis, no, there was another Ms. Davis. There was two Ms. Davis. Wow. Oh, Cho. How about this mofo a pull side the road
Starting point is 01:11:07 and put me right out on Santa Monica? Man, get out of him. Real? What a God? And you got out? I ain't got no choice. But why didn't take you back to the hotel? Man, I was close to where I was closer to where I needed to be
Starting point is 01:11:21 than driving me all the way back to the hotel. Oh, so you walked where you had to go? No, Sheldon call me another Uber. Wow. He would have had to drop me off, man. You got me messed up. No, man. They got recorded in there.
Starting point is 01:11:33 And plus I'm on probation right now. So I had to be on my best behavior. Okay, I got you. I got you. I got you. Because I was like, boy, I was like, I said, man, just drop me off right here. He's like, I can't take you no further.
Starting point is 01:11:48 I was like, bro, I looked at the GPS. Oh, so we like, it's going to take him 20 minutes to get back to the hotel. It's going to take him seven minutes to drop me off. I say, just tell her to get to the Uber that was for me. Right. She didn't want to do that. Oh, so she, oh, she wanted him. Okay.
Starting point is 01:12:07 So, man, put aside the roll. Hey, hey, Uncle, you really ain't got no apps on your phone, do you? I don't. No, no, Uber. Shelly or Jordan. Like, Jordan, Jordan has a timer, and he knows, like, after a certain time, we're about to wrap up, he'll call the Uber.
Starting point is 01:12:27 They give us 15 minutes to, you know, get out there. And so once we take the picture, I mean, the thing, but I don't, oh, let me tell you my uncle. Look at Joy and laughing. He's just laughing. So, you know, in room dining thing, they don't let you call down it or the room service no more.
Starting point is 01:12:43 You got to scan the QR code with your phone. Yeah. So I, you know, hey, I said, man, Ocho, say, I don't know how to do nothing. Man, I don't book me a two-night stay at the hotel. That was Joyne laughing. Shelly called me, say, why you book two nights at the hotel?
Starting point is 01:13:04 I said, I ain't book no two nights at the hotel. I ordered breakfast. She said, you ain't ordered no damn breakfast. You got two. You got a king suite for two nights next week. Ocho, I thought I ordered me an egg sandwich and some orange juice. Hell no. Now you see why I don't be fooling with the maps, Ocho.
Starting point is 01:13:26 Because all my money, I'd be done spent, I'd be done spent $200,000. on a flower arrangement. That's why I don't fool with it. You got to be a little tech savvy, man. We got to send you to a class, man. No, that's what Jordan here for. Joy went to class. Okay.
Starting point is 01:13:48 Man, I was like, man, this joke will put me out. This joker pulled right to the side. I said, man, Ocho, he stopped in the middle of the row. I said, my man, can you pull right over to the side, man? Damn. That's not done. I know because the uncle I know won't get down no car. Hey, he didn't got soft any, Ocho.
Starting point is 01:14:05 Ojo, they got you bought, now you know, hey, hey, hey, you know, if I want no pro, I'm a probation, Ocho, I'm trying to make it the 26th. I'm trying to make it the 26 with no mishaps. Yeah, but you can't let people just take advantage of you like that. That's all right. I get on that. Yeah, yeah, the devil weren't, yeah. Yeah, did he try to get, remember Ocho?
Starting point is 01:14:27 I said patience. What, I said patience. I need patience. He ain't going to give it to you. He's going to put you in a situation that required. Hello. Hello. You're talking now.
Starting point is 01:14:38 Yeah. I said, okay. I'm going to get out. I'm going to get out now. But you're so lucky. Caught me in 24. I got out, but not after I told your ass up. Hey.
Starting point is 01:14:52 Man, I said, man, I had a day-to-day, Ocho. I got put out of Uber and I'd order two-night. And all I tried to get with a breakfast. sandwich and some orange juice, and I got a two nights day at the hotel. Hey, did they charge you for canceling your two nights day? Yeah, because I booked it for next week.
Starting point is 01:15:10 They need that cancellation fee. They need that. They ain't getting no cancellation fee as many nights as I stay here. And Jordan, I stay here. Man, we sometimes we were staying here like four, five nights in a row. Okay. Nah, but
Starting point is 01:15:27 I said, boy, I had me a day to day. I said, Damn. If a Lenovo gaming computer is on your holiday list, don't shop around. Just go directly to the source, Lenovo.com.
