So screening and early detections are key to reducing overall colon cancer has a survival rate of 90%. So screening and early detections are key to reducing overall colon cancer deaths. Starting point is 00:07:18 Platform Shay Shay Media and my clothing company 84. We just dropped the nightcap and chill collection on Friday. The link is pinned at the top of the chat. The supplies are limited and once they're gone, they're gone. The Hornets come to the lake, come to LA, beat the Lakers. It was a rescheduled game. Remember they were supposed to play early in the year, but the Palisade Flyers forced this cancellation. So this was the makeup game, the only game on the docket tonight. And the Hornets come into LA and they win thanks to 29 points from Mile Bridges, 27 points from LaMelo Ball, who hit the floater that really iced the ball game.
Starting point is 00:07:56 LeBron misses two threes at the buzzer, but the Hornets win 197. Roy missed a couple of free throws and Austin Reeves got kicked out. He failed. He got filed by Yousef Nerkic and it was his first career ejection and the Lakers lose to the Hornets, which was It's inexcusable. No matter what happened with Austin Reeves when you got Luca and you got LeBron You still should have enough to win the ball game. But unfortunately they did not win.
Starting point is 00:08:27 Uh, LeBron scored 16 in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough as the Hornets come to LA and win the game by the score of 100 to 97. Oh, Joe. Yeah. What'd you think? Hey, listen, first off, I'm a skip, right? I'm gonna skip the beginning of the book, and I'm gonna go to the last page of the book.
Starting point is 00:08:49 Boy, the last three minutes of that game, the last three minutes of that game, Lamello, LeBron, Lamello, Miles Bridges, LeBron. But anyway, the first half, very rusty. Definitely you could tell they coming off an all-star break from both teams. Luke and LeBron early on in the game showed Shazer what they could have been. What those two would have been, could, can be actually, you know, with those fast break points, scores early in the game. Outside of that, it always comes down to Rui at the end of the game. You got to hit those free throws. always come down to Rui at the end of the game, you gotta hit those free throws.
Starting point is 00:09:24 You gotta hit those free throws to give your team a chance to put your team in position to win the game where it doesn't come to LeBron having to make one of those last 3.3s at the end of the game. Well, I'm looking at you, right? It's gonna take some getting used to LeBron and Luca playing together. You know, both guys are at their best when they have the ball in their hands.
Starting point is 00:09:50 And unfortunately, there's only one basketball and there's two of those great players. And so it seems like, you know, nobody wants to step on anybody's toes, Ocho. Okay, hey, Luca, you got to, you're gonna handle it. Hey, you do what you do, LeBron, you do what you do. But it's gonna take a while while and I don't know if they're gonna have enough time You know enough time to figure it out during this season But hopefully in the offseason next year they can get it together But if you watch the last two minutes the last two and a half minutes of this ball game Hey, the morning is all they did all they did was put Luke in picking role. Mm-hmm
Starting point is 00:10:22 Melo ball it doesn't matter. They tried to hedge it, they tried to double it. Lamello give the ball up, he go get it back, and he brings Luca guy again, they put him in the pick and roll, and they got a couple of wide open threes, and then Lamello split, they ended up taking Luca out. They brought Vanderbilt in, but that makes them really small, so now they got no rim protection.
Starting point is 00:10:42 Lamello splits it, gets down, hits the floater, and basically that was the four point lead that they needed. LeBron ends up hitting a big three, but they have to foul, they go make both free throws and then LeBron missed two threes at the end. But Lucas gonna have to get better in the pick and roll, they're gonna have to do a better job. They seem to be in control of this ball game.
Starting point is 00:10:59 And then I think they allow the Hornets to go a 20 to something, 21, 22 to one run. Right. Yeah. I mean, that can't happen. Right. I got a question for you too. Now you're seeing both players, LeBron and Luca, both are comfortable liking to be on the ball.
Starting point is 00:11:16 Luca tonight to me, look very uncomfortable out there. I, you know, he's not used to playing without, he's not used to playing without the ball in his hands. So how long does it take? Or does LeBron understand that Luca likes to playing without the ball in his hand. So how long does it take? Or does LeBron understand that Luca likes to be on the ball and he's much more comfortable on the ball playing in rhythm like that, especially in transition? So how long-
Starting point is 00:11:36 Well, LeBron doesn't have a problem. LeBron is better at playing off the ball than Luca, although LeBron plays better with the ball in his hand, but he's still more comfortable than Luca playing off the ball. But at the end of the day, they're gonna have to figure this out. And LeBron was like, okay, y'all do your thing. And then all of a sudden, the game starts getting out of hand.
Starting point is 00:11:56 LeBron said, F this, give me the ball. I got it. I mean, that's what it comes down to. Hey, F this, I done gave y'all enough opportunities. And, but that third quarter is what doomed him. And the Lakers, that kind of it comes down to. Hey, FDS, I done gave y'all enough opportunities. But that third quarter is what doomed them. And the Lakers, that kind of been their bugaboo. The last four or five years, the third quarter, they come out flat, they had a what, eight point lead,
Starting point is 00:12:13 I think a seven, eight point lead to go into the half. And then they got, get outscored 32 to 18 in the third quarter. And so, JJ is gonna have to do a better job of getting those guys fired up. They can't come out of their lap lackadaisical, bulljiving around because the next thing you know a 13 point lead, they had a 13 point lead Ocho in that third quarter. And now all of a sudden they end up going basically they end up going down at the start
Starting point is 00:12:42 to fourth, they're down. Up you know up seven had lead of as many as 13, and now you go down because you get outscored 32 to 14. It's fun. Listen, the game of basketball is a game of run. It's a game of run. So most of the time when those runs actually do happen, do you wanna keep it as close as you can?
Starting point is 00:13:01 You wanna keep it as close as you can, but sometimes, listen, it gets away from you. It gets away from you. It gets away from you, especially if you don't have a bench that can, that can score consistently and give you, and give you buckets when your starters aren't in there. Yeah. And, and Luca's rusty right now. Oh, you can tell he's rusty.
Starting point is 00:13:17 Five of 18, one of nine from the three. Um, he's averaging what? 14, 15 points a game. Um, I don't know if I've ever seen Luca play a stretch where he's averaged 15 points a game. He's due to have one of those games where he goes for 35, 40, 10, and 11. He's due one of those games. Austin Reeves getting kicked out didn't help
Starting point is 00:13:36 because, you know, Austin, look, they got three guys that can really go get their own shot, LeBron, Luca, and Austin Reeves. Everybody else is dependent. Give me, give me, put me in a situation, run a ball screen for me, skip pass, you know, hammer pass, do something, pin down. Those three guys can go get their own shot. Okay. Luca's struggling. He's rusty. Really the only guy that could, that's playing, was playing decent. And LeBron didn't have it going early. It was like, he just letting it go. Cause was playing decent and LeBron didn't have it going early
Starting point is 00:14:05 It was like he just letting it go because if you look at LeBron, what did LeBron have in the like? I think he had ten and a half. I don't even know if he scored in the third quarter, right? And and so, you know, it's It's so funny on how LeBron could pick and choose when to turn it on and when he turns it on he's efficient We want to take a game over and say, you know what, like you said, in that fourth quarter, I think he had 16 in the fourth quarter. Yep.
Starting point is 00:14:31 And say, you know what, I got this. This is ridiculous. Yep. But then they get lacks on defense, leave wide open threes. Oh yeah, yeah, no comment on that. Their problem is always gonna be their problem. They really don't have rim protection
Starting point is 00:14:46 I don't I don't know look I understand they needed a big But it's hard for me to believe that Alex Lin is a better big right now Even at Dwight Howard age of 39, it's hard for me to believe Alex Lin I'm not saying I'm not saying Dwight Howard is Orlando Dwight Howard I'm not saying he's Houston Rockets Dwight Howard is Orlando Dwight Howard. I'm not saying he's Houston Rock is Dwight Howard. Right. You don't even need to see that. Huh? Yeah, he might be the Shane Hutch Sharks. You don't even need to see that.
Starting point is 00:15:11 But, um... Just think about this, huh? Even though what you're saying about Dwight Howard being better, at his age, has there ever been a scenario where a player who hasn't played, I'm not sure how long has it been since Dwight Howard's been out the league. Has there ever been a scenario like this where a certain position is need, maybe be big, maybe be forward, maybe be a point guard that hasn't played in a while and he's come back despite his age because he's better than what you have on your bench? No, it's hard when guys start, you know, start missing two, a year, two years. You know, I think it last time, I'm trying to figure when the last time the white play
Starting point is 00:15:48 well hell he's up for the hall of fame. So it's been a minute. Yeah, I mean, real talk, it's been a minute. But they don't really have any, they don't have any depth. Yeah, they miss AD, but you tell me, you tell me if AD, what team AD own and somebody says they offer you Luca Donjic that you're not gonna move it Y'all making seem like the Lakers like the Lakers blew this you talking to a guy that's 25. That's that's six years younger. Yeah, and
Starting point is 00:16:16 Let's forget Get Luca being Nick that the start of this season missing all the games that he's missed I think this is the first time he's gonna play fewer than 60 games in his NBA career. But y'all talk about, y'all call it street clothes, y'all call it always ding. Y'all call it, now all of a sudden, you make us have a little struggle that y'all miss AD. Y'all miss AD.
Starting point is 00:16:37 What team wouldn't trade, I mean, there are a handful of teams that wouldn't trade their best player or their second best player or their second best player for Luka Doncic. Right. Milwaukee probably wouldn't do it cuz it's reported that they brought the trade to Milwaukee and Milwaukee said no.
Starting point is 00:16:56 Probably they wouldn't trade JT for him. They wouldn't trade yokage Probably not gonna trade shape, but everybody else game Everybody else is game rare. It's crazy. So But it's a disappointing loss these are I mean if you try to make a if you're trying to make a move These are the games that you got a that you get you gonna games that you're going to have to win. You're going to have to win.
Starting point is 00:17:27 So congratulations to the Hornets that come to LA, get a victory 197. I like to be a fly on a wall, Ocho, in a situation like this where a game that you should have won, because even with the players that the Lakers have, I still believe they're a better team than the Hornets. And you didn't win. I wonder what the coach said. Cause I know what a NFL coach would have said. He'd have been cursing and kicking-ish.
Starting point is 00:17:53 It ain't no, hey guys, you know, we just, yay. We left some plays out there. We, you know, the 50-50 ball. Ain't none of that. You lose a game and your coach believed that you had the better team. And it was because of effort and things like that. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:08 Coach was losing his mind. Well, hey, it's honestly the third quarter. You could lock it on the third quarter. Third quarter is where everything got away from. It did. But how many times did we chat? Y'all know if you follow the Lakers, how many times did we say the third quarter? We say that year after year after year after year.
Starting point is 00:18:27 Game after game after game after game. I mean, at some point in time, I mean, the coaches know that, the players know that. I don't really know what else there is to do or to say. Except go out there and do it. Cause it's not like we're breaking news. This is not no, you know, you got to open FBI files and unsealed documents. They played terrible in the third quarter.
Starting point is 00:18:54 And this has been a reoccurring thing for the last four or five years. So I really don't, I'm not sure what the issue is. I don't need to be sure. That's up to JJ Reddick what the issue is. I don't need to be sure. That's up to JJ Reddick and the coaching staff. Scotty Brooks, Nate McMillan. It's on them to figure that issue out. And the funny thing about it is
Starting point is 00:19:15 JJ can talk about it all he want. Scotty can talk about it all he want. Well, hell, when the players come out at halftime, they got to be the ones to execute it. They got to be the ones to come out with the energy. They got to be the ones to execute it. They got to be the ones to come out with the energy. They got to be the ones to play on both ends of the court or both ends of the floor. Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:31 Look, we know that the problem that Lakers are going to have with no AD is defense. Yeah. Because now they have no back line of defense. They really don't have a guy that's really good in the pick and roll defense. And you see, like I said, the last two and a half minutes, all they did was go pick and roll the game. They put Luca in pick and roll with Bello handling the ball and they got wide open threes and Lamello iced the game basically with a floater. I mean, it's not complicated. Everybody, everybody see what's going on. I mean, even the most like, damn,
Starting point is 00:20:03 they run in the same plate. One for high pick, put Luke in a picket roll boom. Get what I want. So that's on them to figure this out. Uh, at some point in time, um, I'm sure, uh, Darwin Ham had this issue. Uh, Frank Vogel had this issue. Now JJ have this rich issue and a lot of these players, all of the reads was there. Uh, um, LeB a lot of these players, Austin Reed was there,
Starting point is 00:20:27 LeBron was there, Roy was there. So at some point in time, even when AD was there, when he was there, the third quarter's been their bugaboo. They're gonna have to figure this ish out. Hey, it's Bobby Bones. Join me and former NFL quarterback, Matt Castle every Wednesday for our new podcast, Lots to Say with Bobby Bones. Join me and former NFL quarterback Matt Castle every Wednesday for our new podcast, Lots to Say with Bobby Bones and Matt Castle.
Starting point is 00:20:49 Between us, we have over 17,500 passing yards, multiple New York Times bestsellers, and one mirror ball trophy from Dancing with the Stars. So where else are you gonna find a show with that much athleticism and football insight? Based in Nashville, we're more than just your basic NFL show. We talk sports, but we talk pop culture and music and a little bit everything,
Starting point is 00:21:09 because we got lots to say. I texted you and you texted me back. Now, I don't know if you have the update, but like all the little thumbs up and heart and stuff, like it's all colored. They changed it. And the heart's a little pink. It felt like I told you I loved you.
Starting point is 00:21:21 I'm gonna be honest, it was a little pink. There was something sentimental when you send it. It was like, do I send the heart now? I don't like the color edition. It's extremely pink. Listen to lots to say with Bobby Bones and Matt Castle on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. It was a moment that should have broken me,
Starting point is 00:21:40 but just because of how I was raised and my bullishness and arrogance to want to be great hardened me. It gave me a platform to be so singularly focused on greatness. Ashlyn Harris We all have moments like this. Something happens that's supposed to break us. But it's in these moments that we discover what we're really made of. I promise you, if anyone knows this, it's me. I'm Ashlyn Harris. What's up, everybody? I'm Trevon Edwards, co-host of the new podcast, G-O-T-E, greatest of their era with
Starting point is 00:22:11 Steph Curry. You don't want to miss our first episode that's out now. We went live from All-Star Weekend and had special guest appearance by Steph Curry himself. Steph talked about what separates the truly elite NBA shooters. When you have a scouting report and you're on the list as not just a shooter, but we have specific rules for how we guard you. There's a fear factor that's associated with anytime you're wide open, like you might as well just count that and get back on defense.
Starting point is 00:22:38 And we ranked our top five shooters from the 2000s. Paysia 5 dirt 4. Paysia is elite. Okay. I'm mad I left him off my list, but I still like my list. You won't believe who Steph left off his list. That's so tough.
Starting point is 00:22:52 That's why we have these conversations. Yes, absolutely. I love it. Listen to GOAT, Greatest of Their Era on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Jon Stewart is back at The Daily Show and he's bringing his signature wit and

Starting point is 00:23:31 Listen on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Steve Kerr told ESPN he wasn't mad at KD for rejecting the trade to Golden State. I don't blame Kevin one bit for not wanting to rerun things here. It took so much ish for like, oh, you're jumping on the bandwagon and he's finals MVP two years in a row and he still gets criticized. So why would he want to face all the BS again? Get your smile to comment? That's not the reason why I didn't want to come back. I just didn't want to get traded midway through the season Do you believe KD? um a
Starting point is 00:24:14 little bit a little bit a little bit of me believes him obviously um I Think even though it was made way through the season. I think through the experiment in Phoenix, I don't think it's worked. I think it's failed. Obviously, they're gonna be- Oh, you don't think? You think it's an absolute failure. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Berkeley was an absolute failure.
Starting point is 00:24:31 Yeah, that was too. And I think, I mean, for KD, I would, I don't wanna, I hate calling it ring-chasing, but I would have went to the better situation, obviously going back over there with Draymond Green and stuff, and trying to run it it back and trying to run it back again. And I think the missing piece for them to get them over the hump and probably give them the opportunity in the West would be KD going back because what's going to happen right now in Phoenix? Where are you going?
Starting point is 00:24:55 Nothing. Nothing at all. Nothing at all. But I think you want to stay there. If you know KD, know personally, and you watch him from afar, you know his story, he loves the game of basketball. He loves the game of basketball. If he's gonna be behind the eighth ball, he gonna scratch, crawl, and do everything he can
Starting point is 00:25:12 to have success down there in Arizona and leave out the right way. I think the thing, why KD was so successful, he didn't have to worry about anything but ball. You see, in Brooklyn, he had to be a leader. You see, in Phoenix, he had to be a leader. You see in Oakey, you see in Phoenix, he has to be a leader. Steph took care of that, Draymond took care of that,
Starting point is 00:25:30 Clay took care of that. So now he just gets to do what he really wants to do. Which is, ooh, I don't gotta, we have no pep talk. I ain't gotta say pick this ish up. I ain't gotta do none of that. I come in, I do what I do, I go home and chill. That's what he wants to do. Got no problem with that. Part of me does believe that he didn't want to get traded during the season and say he wanted to ride this out with his boys. Ride out what? I mean,
Starting point is 00:25:58 where do you think you're going, Katie? Listen, they started it off. They thought it was going to work. They thought the trio with Bill, Devin Booker and him would work some magic out there in the West. It hasn't worked itself out. But I just think the fact that he's bounced around from Brooklyn, you know, went to Golden State. He didn't want to continue that same trend and be like, here we go again. You know, at some point, at some point when your relationship's on, on you get tired of moving on man, you get tired of moving on him
Starting point is 00:26:29 And sometimes you like you know what? I'm just stick this one out I know it ain't working about my stick it out and do it everything I can Until it's time to leave and I could tell you when he's leaving in the goddamn summer Okay, so so what'd you do? All you did the lady of inevitable. You was miserable for another three, four months. Right. Because they're not going nowhere. They're not doing anything. Right, right, right.
Starting point is 00:26:49 They don't have any defense. They're just like the Lakers. They got no defense. They got all those scores. I mean, you got two guys that really is the same guy. Booker's more athletic now. I think he's a better player. I don't think he is.
Starting point is 00:27:03 I know he's a better player than Bradley Beal, but that saying, you got all that scoring. Where you defense at? Now they get high, you got to give a night. Even any of those guys can go to 30 or 40. Now they relegated Bradley Beal to the bench because they were hoping he would wave with no trade clause and then they can trade him and get Jimmy Butler. But he's like, nah, I put that in there for a reason. I put that in there for a reason. I don't want to go anywhere.
Starting point is 00:27:28 I'm not going anywhere. So whether you want me or not, you know what I'm saying? Hey, sometimes it's cheaper to keep him. That's crazy how players, you see the leverage NBA players have when it comes to stuff like that? He has no, he don't have no leverage. He got no trade clause. He and LeBron James, one of the two players
Starting point is 00:27:45 that have no trade. So if he didn't have that, his ass was gone. I know, that's why I said leverage. That's all I meant. But you mean to titter at me? You don't want me because I'm not as playing as well as you thought I should. I'm trying to do everything I can.
Starting point is 00:27:58 Obviously injuries are hampered me, performing to what we're used to seeing me play like. And I just got here and you trying to seeing me play like and I just got here and you trying to get me to uproot my family man child please put this no trade clause in there is in there for a reason there's a reason why because there's a chance. Big guy coming off the bench Big guy coming off the bench. Yeah yeah. That be like you they like man we want to move you like nah I ain't going okay Archo you the slot you do your Yeah. Yeah. That'd be like you. They like, man, we wanna move.
Starting point is 00:28:25 You're like, nah, I ain't going. Okay, Archo, you the slot. You're the third receiver now. Third who? You the third receiver now. Oh, you must be talking about Madden. Third receiver. You got a no trade.
Starting point is 00:28:40 You don't, and they wanna trade you. You don't wanna go. Okay, you the third receiver. Right. I guess you the third receiver. Right. I guess you go in there, catch your, get your little three, four targets on Sunday and come on home. Hey. Ooh. Hey, that's a lot of cardio, boy.
Starting point is 00:28:59 That's a lot of cardio. Damn. I don't, I never looked at it like that. Oh, you're making that kind of cards. Damn. I don't, I don't, I never looked at it like that. Oh, you're making that kind of money. Oh, you want me to play what? Wait a minute. Let me look at this. How much I make it.
Starting point is 00:29:14 And that's all you want me to do. Okay. Bet. I mean, the competitive one be happy. Yeah. But I'm not going gonna do anything to jeopardize that money. Right. Right, oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:32 I mean, Bradley Beard probably making 45, $50 million a year. Oh my goodness. So, okay. This all, hey, this all y'all want me to do is get y'all 28 minutes a night, 30 minutes a night. And it ain't really no strain on me cuz I'm coming off the bench I mean look he's going to get me coming off the bench a lot of times you coming in there now, you know That's the second you're going against the second unit
Starting point is 00:29:55 So I guess they say you can get your points that way cuz you know, the ball's gonna go to KD book first Those are your first two options Bradley Beal has never been a third option. He's always been, he was one, two, when he had John Wall, when John Wall left, you know. It was him. I guess he had, I think he had Russ, no, he had Russ for a year or two, but he was the first scoring option,
Starting point is 00:30:16 even though Russ had the ball in his hand. So he's never been like this. It never been a situation where he's not used to being able to get as many shots as he want. He's third option, no matter how you look at it, oh, that's what he wanted. The best third option at the end of the day, you still the third option. Yeah. You know what? It even has a starter. And I'm thinking about if I was a starter as a number one, let's say I was the number one in Cincinnati, same scenario. I go to New England and I'm the third or I'm the fourth guy
Starting point is 00:30:47 because the officers in front of me are better at that time in that specific system. That does something to your psyche. You know that right? It does something to your psyche. I would take your word for it. I mean I wasn't you know I wouldn't know like that. I wouldn't know third officer in no trouble. But I take your word for it. I believe. Here you go. You know some... I'm not just saying. What do you want me to do? How What you want me to do? How you want me to do? I can't empathize for a situation I have a bit. I have empathy for you.
Starting point is 00:31:09 So you know what I'm gonna do, Ocho? You know empathy? Empathy requires you to divorce your ego, separate your ego and see yourself in a similar situation. So you know what, Ocho? There you go. Here I go. I'm a third of all, man.
Starting point is 00:31:20 That's a bull job, man. Pretend, pretend you Bradley Beard right now. I go from somewhere where I'm able to play freely. Now I'm a third of all. Man, that's a bulls-eye, man. Pretend you Bradley Beer right now. I go from somewhere where I'm able to play freely. Now I'm coming off a bench where I can't take a high volume of shots. So now I'm messed up up here. Not only am I messed up up here, when I do get on the court, sometimes I might hesitate because I'm not in rhythm. That means my shot efficiency and shot selection has to be that much better.
Starting point is 00:31:47 It's something to you. Well, look, I'm going to tell you what I kept. I think when I got back, I got back to Denver, um, Rod was clearly the number one, um, easy aid was coming off a severe leg injury. So, you know, it was basically me and Ed fighting for two, three. But I mean, there are some games. So you had been in that position when you were the three. No, I was all, I finished.
Starting point is 00:32:12 No, I've never finished when I was on the team. I never finished. No, once I became what I became, I'd never finished worse than second and catches on the team. Okay. I understand that. But when you say it, I mean, I Ed. I'm just saying, I'm just saying, that's just me. I hear you, you talking from a statistical standpoint.
Starting point is 00:32:28 But I'm just saying you were the three no matter what. I was not the three, I was two. Rod Smith and McCaffrey were the ones, were the one and two. Rod was one, I was two, and I was two A, and Ed was two B. I don't know what you talking about. Hey, it sounds good. It sounds good.
Starting point is 00:32:50 You better check it. It sounds good. Hopp, hey, you tell me the time you've seen a third receiver get 214 in the game. What happened when somebody heard? I mean, what receiver, you know Just say it I Got you I got you Yeah, but I but look I understand but for me old Joe
Starting point is 00:33:17 They're like man. Hey, man. Hey, you ain't catching no passes and they used to ask me say, bro. I Got the check. Not the positive, it cleared. That's on y'all. I'm gonna make the same amount of money. See, the thing that I love about this is that I'm gonna make the, I don't get paid by the catch.
Starting point is 00:33:36 I don't get paid by the touchdown. Y'all wanna throw me, y'all wanna give me 10 targets? Right. Fine. If you wanna give me three targets, I'm gonna make the same amount of money. So I ain't stressing out. I say, I'm too old now. Now if y'all about to would have got me when I was in my twenties, y'all would have got
Starting point is 00:33:53 me in my damn thirties. I got kids. Man, I'm going to get all this money I'm supposed to get. I ain't giving y'all ish back. And in a year or two, I'm going to take my black ass home anyway. So y'all can have at it. Man, I'm not stressing out about catching no passes. I'm going to make the same home anyway. So y'all can have at it. I ain't get, man, I'm not stressing out about catching no passes.
Starting point is 00:34:06 I'm gonna make the same amount of money, Ocho. I'm gonna make the same. So it wasn't a strain on me. Y'all throw it to me, I'm gonna catch it. If you don't, you know, hey 84, we probably should have gave you a more, bro, the game over. Y'all telling me what y'all should have done.
Starting point is 00:34:23 That don't do, who they helping? All of this should make y'all madall telling me what y'all shoulda done. Who they helping? All of this should make y'all mad because that's what y'all get paid for. My job is not to tell you what I'm open on. Your job is to see it. Y'all tell me, let the coaches coach, the players gonna play. I'm playing.
Starting point is 00:34:40 I ain't calling no plays. Now, what I would get mad about to come fourth quarter, I ain't calling no plays Now What I would get mad about to come for a quarter 84 what you uh, uh What you like? I Like for this game to be over with y'all been booed Y'all been booed John for three and a half quarter. That's what I would like I would like this game to be over with and so I can go on to get out Hey, nah, don't be asking me no question now.
Starting point is 00:35:06 Hey, y'all go spread it around. You know, we will spread it around this week. You know, a and be ready. Rob be ready. Sharp be ready. Backside of the backfield. Now all that spread around is a work. Right. Hey, 84, what you what you like? I like it is to be over with.
Starting point is 00:35:24 It's. Hey, y'all, like? Our life is just the issue to be over with. It's... Hey, y'all coming up with a game plan next week. I can picture you saying that too. Yeah. Now all of a sudden, old joke, we got five minutes left, we down 14. What? I hated being in that situation, man.
Starting point is 00:35:42 I hated getting no empty calories because when the game was milked up, hung in the balance Now we got four minutes. We down 14. We're on the 10 yard line. What you look at what you like Okay I like to have more opportunities in the first three quarters No, y'all keep up y'all keep calling y'all keep calling what y'all was calling No, y'all keep calling. Y'all keep calling. Y'all keep calling what y'all was calling. Hey, I'm just mad at you. Hey, man, please. Y'all are living to get my blood pressure up. I learned a long time ago, Ocho. Like I said, that's why I started putting incentives in my contract.
Starting point is 00:36:17 Once I realized they could manipulate that and jack me out of my hundred grand, I said, man, I wish I might. I'm not put another incentive They couldn't give me a million dollars in my in my contract to go to the Pro Bowl or lead the team Because y'all what y'all pay me. I should do everything that y'all trying to incentivize without the house pay tight end I should leave my team and receive it. I should go to the Pro Bowl. I should be an all-pro. Mm-hmm I don't need no incentive. Y'all mess with that. Give me my money. I want all my money. Hey, I got not one incentive. Got not one. Even if I come to work on time. No, there ain't no incentive for me.
Starting point is 00:36:58 If I make weight. Nope, I don't want that either. Nope, I don't. Put it all in there. Yep, give me everything I'm supposed to get. Hey Shannon, they gonna pay you over 17 weeks. This is what you're, hey, this is how much you make it. Okay, I'm cool with that. Right. Man, I been stopped worrying about that old chocubs.
Starting point is 00:37:17 Man, when they jack me out of my, what you call them, say man, I'm, man, y'all ain't finna make me do something bad to somebody up in here. Yeah, listen, that's the game they play now. That's the game they play. An anonymous NBA GM called out Adam Silver. Adam Silver is obsessed with tournaments.
Starting point is 00:37:39 Play-in, end season, not All-Star. They are, they've not proven to benefit our league. Ochoa, what you think? I mean, the head guy saying that the tournaments trying to create excitement, trying to create viewers, globally as well, it is not benefiting the league, it's not benefiting the players, how's it not? The in season tournament, isn't the end season tournament
Starting point is 00:38:09 allowing the players to make extra money and benefit them by having it being played end season? Well, I guess you're trying to drum up support because here's the thing, Ochoa, look, you got 11, you got 11, what, 77 billion over the next 11 years. And so we got it, because here here the thing is kind of like soccer you may you know soccer got all the tournament They got you yes, hopefully this one and that one. Yeah. Yes champion
Starting point is 00:38:36 Yes. Yes, so I think that's what you know Adam commission is trying to get a play off that Adam commission is trying to get a play off that The play in tournament, I mean People didn't like that people thought look and I remember one time when the three-point competition was thought as gimmick I mean the three-point shot. They're like man. There's a gimmick, right? Now look everything is a gimmick until you get used to it. The forward pass was a gimmick. Right. Yeah, forward pass, like, what are you,
Starting point is 00:39:10 that's a gimmick, ain't no day gonna be. Now, can you imagine a game of football without the forward pass or what? Wouldn't make no sense. It would make zero sense. So look, I get what, I get what commission's trying to do. He's trying to do anything he possibly can to get eyeballs to the television, to watch these games.
Starting point is 00:39:30 And so to play in tournament, I mean, to play in tournaments are always good. You know, teams like, look, normally one through eight, you made the tournament, you know where you are, but now eight through 10, you got to play a what? No, no, yeah, no, seven, no, what is it? Seven play 10 and eight and nine play, and then that winner, those two winners play each other.
Starting point is 00:39:56 And that's the, so whoever wins, they're the seventh seed, and then the next two is the, is the winner is the eighth seed. But I get the HC, but I get, I get what commission is trying to do. I get what I really do. Oh Joe, uh, you gotta try something. I mean, you got this kind of money at stake. Um, you gotta try something.
Starting point is 00:40:15 Yeah. I mean, the only thing that I can deal, I can deal with all of the only thing I don't like the all star. I don't like the all star. I'm sorry. Yeah. The format is not, not what it should be in the GM that's complaining, the GM that's complaining about what what Adam Silver is doing, why don't the GMs have ideas as well?
Starting point is 00:40:31 Why don't they have ideas to continue to grow the game? Why don't they have ideas that they wouldn't buy Silver to say, listen, I think we can do this. The players will benefit from it. Us as owners will benefit from it. And those that are watching, they'll enjoy it. Instead of saying, or non-Masaurus complaining about what Silver is actually doing.
Starting point is 00:40:50 Well, rest is so David Stern, you're like, look, y'all gonna either play, or we gonna claw back some of this money. Which one you want? It really that simple. You shouldn't have to beg guys to play hard, Ocho, if you making 150, 200, $300 million. I don't really think it's asking too much.
Starting point is 00:41:14 I really don't. Now I could be wrong, chat, and y'all might be totally disagree. Oh, the season too long and yada, yada, yada. I get all that. The season isn't any longer than what it was the last 50 years. How long have they been playing 82 games forever and a day?
Starting point is 00:41:31 So this notion about all the games, no, it's not. No, it's not. These guys should be in better shape because they have, they know better. They got better training. They got better nutrition. They got better supplementation. They got around the clock physios and trainers and yada, yada, yada. They got chefs that prepare their food and cook whatever. So there is no excuse. To play hard to ask you to play harder, you make it three hundred million.
Starting point is 00:42:00 Oh, Joe. Damn. I got a coach. Let me get. I don't need need $300. Why don't you give me one? Give me one $50. I will play hard. Give me one $50. Cause you know what Ocho? I remember working hard when I was making $5 a day. Come on now talk to me. You never, never. I remember working hard making 10, making 16, catching a thousand chickens, making a dollar a thousand, catch 16,000 chickens, make $16.
Starting point is 00:42:32 Yeah. I worked hard for that little bit of money? What the hell you think I do for 10 million? 20 million, 30, let alone 300. And if you think about it, I think if players, when they make that kind of money, if they understood and never forgot where you came from before you had that kind of money and what you did to get to where you are, I think sometimes they lose sight of
Starting point is 00:42:54 that. They do. I really do. You know, money, money are changing now. It changes. Sometimes it change you for the better. Sometimes it change you for the worse. I think sometimes money makes you more what you already are. What are you? Oh, if, if, if, at your core, what are you when you don't have it? Because now when you get it, it exacerbates what you already are. But that's a good one there, boy. That's why people, you know, they had to even, bro, if you got an eating problem
Starting point is 00:43:28 and you on a college budget, what happens if I give you 10, 15, $20 million, Ocho? Hey. What, that, that, ooh. Yeah, money, no, money, oh, he changed when he got, no, he wasn't. He was always that. He just needed the money for y'all to see him in his true self. Right.
Starting point is 00:43:50 That's all that was. He changed. He's always been this, he or she, I'm not going to say he or just, just he, he or she, whoever. Women as well. Women as well. Yes. Yes. Sometimes they ain't gotta be money. Sometimes it could be attention.
Starting point is 00:44:11 Well, you know what happens when you get that? You never had it before, and you start getting it from everywhere. You get your big head, you start feeling yourself, you start overvaluing the boy. So yeah, I get, I get what Adam is trying to do. Adam is trying to grow the game, try to cause, you know, soccer have these in season tournaments and all this stuff.
Starting point is 00:44:38 We saw what hockey just had to, what is that called? The something for the nations, nations for four nations or something, what he called it was Finland, Sweden, Sweden, Canada and U S. But yeah, see, but one thing hockey hockey, they be playing hard. Oh, maybe once, once you touch that ice, you strap up. You strap up. They ain't, they ain't, you strap up, you strap up. They ain't, they ain't, they ain't, listen, you know what time it is. I think, okay. I think, I think a lot.
Starting point is 00:45:15 I think the difference Adam, Adam and the players, he views the player as players as partners. Right. It's their reunion partner. I'm partner. I'm partner with the owners players as partners. Right. It's their reunion partner. I'm partner. I'm partner with the owner. We partners. Y'all employees.
Starting point is 00:45:30 Right. Just like the NFL, the partners are the broadcast network and the NFL. The employees are the players. Players. Right. And they don't let you, they don't let you forget it as such. And if you do forget, they will remind you. They remind you. They remind you. Yeah. Yeah. They definitely remind you, Ojo.
Starting point is 00:45:59 Hey, it's Bobby Bones. Join me and former NFL quarterback Matt Castle every Wednesday for our new podcast, Lots to Say with Bobby Bones and Matt Castle. Between us, we have over 17,500 passing yards, multiple New York Times bestsellers, and one mirror ball trophy from Dancing with the Stars. So where else are you gonna find a show with that much athleticism and football insight?
Starting point is 00:46:21 Based in Nashville, we're more than just your basic NFL show. We talk sports, but we talk pop culture and music and a little bit of everything, because we got lots to say. I texted you and you texted me back. Now, I don't know if you have the update, but like all the little thumbs up and heart and stuff, like it's all colored.
Starting point is 00:46:37 They changed it. And the heart's a little pink. It felt like I told you I loved you. I'm going to be honest, it was a little pink. There was something sentimental when you sent it. You're just like, do I send the heart now? I don't like the color edition. It's extremely pink.
Starting point is 00:46:51 Listen to lots to say with Bobby Bones and Matt Castle on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. It was a moment that should have broken me, but just because of how I was raised and my bullishness and arrogance to want to be great hardened me. It gave me a platform to be so singularly focused on greatness. We all have moments like this.
Starting point is 00:47:12 Something happens that's supposed to break us, but it's in these moments that we discover what we're really made of. I promise you, if anyone knows this, it's me. I'm Ashlyn Harris. What's up everybody? I'm Trevon Edwards, co-host of the new podcast G-O-T-E, greatest of their era with Steph Curry. You don't want to miss our first episode that's out now.
Starting point is 00:47:34 We went live from All-Star Weekend and had special guest appearance by Steph Curry himself. Steph talked about what separates the truly elite NBA shooters. When you have a scouting report and you're on the list as not just a shooter, but we have specific rules for how we guard you. There's a fear factor that's associated with it. Anytime you're wide open, you might as well just count that and get back on defense. And we ranked our top five shooters from the 2000s. Paysia 5 dirt 4.
Starting point is 00:48:02 Paysia is elite. Okay. I'm mad I left him off my list, but I still like my list. You won't believe who Steph left off his list. That's so tough. That's why we have these conversations. Yes, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:48:16 Listen to GOAT, greatest of their era on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. Jon Stewart is back at The Daily Show and he's bringing his signature wit and insight straight to your ears with The Daily Show Ears Edition podcast. Starting point is 00:48:50 Listen on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, now we got a little LT, LaDania, my dog, wants Michael Parsons to stop podcasting and put his focus on football. He's a great player, but guys, let's do more. Let's play more football. Let's do more. Let's play more football. Let's podcast. Micah in particular, he'll have a movie, action movie. The brother got it. But don't forget where you are at. Listen, I like LT and anything coming from one of the greatest, if not the greatest of all time, especially on the deep end.
Starting point is 00:49:40 And he's talking about one of the greats right now. I agree, but I kind of disagree, especially with the times that we're in right now. Michael Parsons, he plays really well. He plays at a very high level along with his podcast. The podcast doesn't take anything away from him on the actual football field between the lines when the whistle blows. You know what you're getting with 11. You know what you're getting from uno uno. Every time. Now when you look at them
Starting point is 00:50:06 defensively you'll say well they got some weak spots. Well Mike only played in one spot. He can't be everywhere. Sometimes he's he's he's stretched lines sometimes. You know sometimes they go down into three. Sometimes they got him sitting down in in sitting down in the box at a linebacker position moving around trying to find ways because he's good in space real question well stop lying all that part oh we gotta we gotta we gonna have a ravens defense we're gonna have a a seahawks defense but he's supposed to say that don't you know you don't you ain't gotta say nothing keep your mouth shut oh no you don't you've got to stop telling these guys they've got to say something
Starting point is 00:50:49 They did but you have to believe in your team and who you play to yourself So how does he okay? He says what he said? Okay, we gonna win when he don't win how to make him look, okay? Wait, it make him look crazy. But you know, you know, can I say something real quick? Yes I'd say he say something crazy all the time, right? Michael Parsons been talking crazy all season. You know, this season. Mm-hmm. When the Cowboys do play, you know who do show up? They show up in the passing game. What about when they get the ball run down their throat?
Starting point is 00:51:20 Hey, you know they run away from you, ma? They ran away from LT. What do you do? You ran away from Reggie. Yeah, you're right they run away from you, Ma. They ran away from L.T. What do you do? They ran away from Reggie. Yeah, you're right. You're right. Listen, I mean, listen, I mean, L.T. has to understand we're in a different time. We're in a different era. You know, some guys like to talk about the game of football.
Starting point is 00:51:36 They'll talk about the game of football after it's being played. They focus on it when they're at it. But in their off time, they have podcasts. That's just where we are right now. Our thing can change if he stopped doing his podcast and all of a sudden he could have, I mean, no, Michael Parsons is a player that he is. He's one of the great ones in the NFL right now at what he does. And it just, it just, it just, it is what it is.
Starting point is 00:51:59 I respect LT. I like, I like LT's opinion though. Pass or Tang got a podcast? That's not him. That's not him. T.J. What? Got a podcast like LT's opinion though. Passel Tang got a podcast? That's not him. That's not him. T.J. Watts got a podcast? That's not him. The President's Player of the Year.
Starting point is 00:52:10 But that's not him. You're calling names that are- Kyle's Gad. Let me finish. You're calling names that are good at what they do at their Pacific positions, but that's not what they want to do. Michael Parsons wants to have a podcast
Starting point is 00:52:20 because he likes to talk. Some guys want to win. If some guys want to be famous and promote themselves. Now which one you want to be? Because see, the quickest way to build a brand is to win. Michael Jordan brand, what is it? Magic Johnson brand, what is it? Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes,
Starting point is 00:52:41 Joe Montana, what were their brands based on, Ocho? LeBron James, Steph Curry. Hey, you heard everybody just name. You heard everybody just name, right? They were ball dominant and were in control of those wins and losses. You talk about a defensive player, you talk about a defensive end that can change the trajectory of a game, but has nothing to do with wins and losses. Oh, it definitely does. So LT didn't impact the game?
Starting point is 00:53:19 Come on now, we know that. We know what he was. Okay, what about Ray Lewis? Did he impact the game? Of course. What about Brian? Okay, what about Ray Lewis. Did he impact the game? Of course. What about Brian? Okay, okay. What about Brian? How was Brian Brian? Funny that you say that
Starting point is 00:53:39 He can impact the game though, okay, you know, that's my microparts don't impact the game Oh, no, I'm a lot of guys they impact the game We just impact the game. We just, you do realize we ain't talk about no slouching now. We talk about. No, no, but there have been a lot of guys that impact the game. There have been guys that impact the game less, but one more and got a bigger planet. That's all I'm saying. This is the team game. I just want to just remember that now. We talk about YouTube. The only game that is on the team game. I just want to remember that now.
Starting point is 00:54:05 The only game that is on the team. You mentioned Prime. Do you see what Team Prime was playing for? Do you see what else was around him while he was doing what he was doing? Guess what? They went and got Prime. San Francisco said, you know what? We can't beat Dallas. We got to go get Prime. They went and got Prime. What did the Cowboys do? Go get him back. They got pride. What the Cowboys do go get it back Mm-hmm. Yeah
Starting point is 00:54:29 It ain't that complicated. Oh Joe I'm with you me right. I'm with you. I'm with you me right, but also we're in a different time right now We are we are I think the thing oh Joe I think the thing is is that look Michael wants to have a career after Football and it seems to be he wants it to have a career after football. And it seems to be, he wants it to be on the media side. No problem whatsoever. And I think he, what he's doing, he's starting out, cause I had a radio show when I was in Denver.
Starting point is 00:54:59 Started, I think I started in like 96. My guy, Don Martin, I know you're watching the show. He was at our heart radio for a number of years. I don't know. I don't know if Don is still there, but he was my producer. So Don and I, we go way back. And so I kind of like, I really didn't know what what I was going to do. But I like, hey, they like, would you like to do a a radio show? Mm hmm. Like, yeah, how much are you? Wasn't paying a whole lot of show,
Starting point is 00:55:25 but it gave me an opportunity to talk. When they asked me to come in to do the local news, I do that. And so I knew I could do something in the media. I was always very candid, very straightforward, but I don't think there was ever a doubt that anybody that had ever been with me, ask my teammates, football was at the forefront.
Starting point is 00:55:49 Anything that interfered with that wasn't gonna happen. So my radio show was, I would tape it after Friday's practice, go in there, hit that thing for about 25 minutes. Right. I'm done. Done, Right. I'm done. Done, right. I'm done.
Starting point is 00:56:07 That's it for me. It had been very interesting, Ocho. And I've gotten asked this question. If you were playing it today, would you have a podcast? I would. I'm too. I can't. I have a singular focus.
Starting point is 00:56:23 I'm only, I've only been good at a handful of things. Right. But never simultaneously. That's why I'm not married. I was, either I was good at football and a terrible boyfriend. Either I was a great boyfriend, or I would be terrible at football.
Starting point is 00:56:41 So guess which one I had to go. Hey, hey, boy, What you talking? I'm Just being I'm just I'm just I just I just I'm just honest. Oh Joe. I'm just honest That's why so I have a singular focus if you notice what I'm good at something. I'm great at it Because I'm all in Ain't no a ain't no Hansel and Gretel. I don't say no bro. I come from the trip home. Oh Joe. I'm all in. Ain't no, ain't no Hansel and Gretel. I don't save no broad crumb for the trip home, okay? I'm lost.
Starting point is 00:57:09 Right. I'm lost, okay? I ain't got no navigation on how to get back. All I know is one straight ahead. We going that way. I'm gonna get people to be with me that believe in the vision, and we're gonna go get it done. Yes, sir.
Starting point is 00:57:26 But that's just me, like I said, I think, see, the biggest mistake that we make is that we try to see ourselves in other people. Right. That's my biggest mistake. That's my biggest mistake, it is. And I'm gonna, I gotta talk, because I think I can say, Ocho,. Cause I think I can say,
Starting point is 00:57:45 Ocho, honestly, I think I can save everybody. And you know, hey, hey man, can you do, sure, no problem. Call Shelly. Hey man, we got this, call Shelly. And you know, if 25 here is 50,000 there, so 100,000 here. And Marvin, Marvin Dermott, who there's 100,000 here. And, and, and, and, and my, my, my, my Marvin, Marvin
Starting point is 00:58:06 Dermott, who's my agent. And he's been my right hand man for 29 years. Yes, sir. He said, you got to stop this. Yeah. He said, he said, I understand. He said, I understand you better than most. Right.
Starting point is 00:58:25 I'm an 83, I think he's a 83, 84 year old Jewish guy. He said, but I know you. And he said, but you got to stop this. He said, you can't save everybody. He said, you got too big of a heart. Yeah. Same. I learned that quick. And most of the time, you know that I learn quick.
Starting point is 00:58:45 No matter how much you do, sometimes they forget about the first time you say no. Oh man, I just, man, it's really- They forget about it. They forget about all the time you say yes. And I- Yes! That's what's on my mind, always trying to save or feeling like I can come in and put my cape on.
Starting point is 00:59:03 Oh, I got you. Don't worry about it. I got you. And every time on the back end, you end up regretting it. Every time. I don't regret it. I mean, a lot of times I give the charities, but a lot of times I give them. the charities, but a lot of times I give, I give them, but like I said, I give, I give with, I don't have any expectations. Right, right.
Starting point is 00:59:32 Right, right. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. And, um, Shelly called me the other day and says, uh, I said, what's up? Well, you need to stop giving away so much money. I said, you called out of the blue with that. She's like, yeah. Said, okay. And then, uh, I don't know if she talked to Marvin or Marvin called her, but he
Starting point is 01:00:04 had a conversation with me today. So I'm done. I can't know if she talked to Marvin or Marvin called her, but he had a conversation with me today. So I'm done. I can't help everybody, Ocho. I'm done trying. Yeah. I'm done. I'm done. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:19 And because I don't have federal government capabilities, I can't just print money to stimulate the economy. Mm-hmm. I got to make my money. I'm coming to literally make my money old fashioned. I can't go print it. Right. I'm good.
Starting point is 01:00:35 I'm done. So don't ask. The answer is no. Moving forward, what's the date? The date is the 20th of... Okay, the date of 19th, February 19th. Now it's the 20th. Okay.
Starting point is 01:00:43 It's the 20th. Okay, the date of 19th, February 19th. Now it's the 20th. Okay, is the 20th where you are? So if you're in the Eastern Time Zone, no. If you're in the West, if you're in the Pacific Time Zone, in an hour and 40 minutes, the answer will be no. And my phone's about to be off, so don't call me.
Starting point is 01:01:05 No. Hell no. Oh Joe, the Cowboys overhaul their coaching staff this off season, parting ways with Mike McCarthy and promoting OC Brian Schottenheimer. The Cowboys hired Arizona Cardinals Office of Line Coach Clayton Adams for the open OC role. Here's what Adam wants to see in the offense. The same thing I want to see, the same thing I want from every player on offense,
Starting point is 01:01:27 and that is to create violence in the game. Be aggressive, run, hit. I think every decision that we make schematically needs to lean into that direction. So if there's a gray area, what is going to allow these guys to play more free and run and hit and be violent? Ocho, do you think the Cowboys will be able to create a violent
Starting point is 01:01:48 offense next year? I mean, you know, violence always starts at the forefront, right up front. It starts in the trenches. That's where the violence needs to come from. That's where the violence needs to come from. It starts with the front, the front five. They got to set the tone. That's where it comes from. Everything else is built off what that offensive line does. So that's where that's where it comes in at. So how is the offensive line going to be?
Starting point is 01:02:14 Because everything he just reiterated, everything he just said is not going to be possible unless that is exactly like I'm just going to throw it out there. Like the Eagles. Mm hmm. Like the Ravens. You're right. That's it. Everything you want to do. Whatever you set your eyes to, whatever you come into the off season
Starting point is 01:02:42 or into the season saying you want to do offensively, it all starts with your offensive line. If you ain't got that, if then you got that mentality. No. Front to back, Ocho. You build front to back. O line back. D line back. Yeah. You say that, but that's a mentality. You got it, but it's, I mean, I take my hat off to teens like the Eagles who I don't know how much they hit, but they've taken a lot of the physicality out of it. Oh, because you can don't practice like that.
Starting point is 01:03:18 We used to practice. We had nine on Sabbath. Practice, practice. Oh, we put the, we're putting, you know, we're putting pads on people. Yeah. Yeah. It's hard. Can you, you go out there and you do a walkthrough and all of a sudden, hey, turn it up.
Starting point is 01:03:33 Turn what up? But it was a mindset. Oh, we, you about to, hey, hey, to move a man against his will. Think about that, chat. Think about what you say. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey quit. Somebody quit today. And that's what, that's exactly what happened by the time you get to the fourth quarter. They gonna quit. They gonna fold. I ain't, I ain't quitting. Yeah, for sure. I gotta make you turn it down. Mm-hmm. Cause see, I know how you run, okay.
Starting point is 01:04:27 Cause back, you know, back when we played Ocho, we roll your ass up. We were cutting. And I know you're getting up quick in the first quarter. Yeah. Oh, Ocho, they get up quick. Oh, they getting up. Hey, hey, I'm still making the play. That's okay.
Starting point is 01:04:39 Okay. Chop chop. Second, hey, the second quarter, Ocho. Hey, I'm still here, Sharp. Third quarter, man, stay on my knees. Fourth quarter, ain't nowhere to be seen. But you got to, it's easy to talk about something, Ocho. It's a lot more difficult to do it.
Starting point is 01:05:03 Yeah, the coach could talk all they want to. The coach can talk, he can, he can talk till he turn blue in the face. But unless you have the personnel and the players that have the mentality that you regurgitating or the mentality that you talk about, man, that ain't, that ain't, you ain't talking about nothing. You ain't talking about nothing. What you have is what you have right now. You can say whatever you want. You know your team. You know your personnel. So you got to be careful what you
Starting point is 01:05:31 say what you ask for. Because they're not built like that. All of a sudden just because you have an offseason don't mean they coming back completely different next year. You are who you are. You know yeah uh Zach Martin has been in wars and he's been one of the premier guards. He's one of the best guards that ever played his game, but he's had a lot of, he got a lot of miles on that body, Ocho. He's not the same guy.
Starting point is 01:05:54 You know, Tyron Smith had a lot of miles on his body. They let him go. Still, they started to suffer when Travis Frederick had to retire prematurely. And they got guys now, they're not built like that. They're not built like that. They can't run the football. See, you know you violent when you can run the football. Yeah. That's where violence come in at. Absolutely. Look at teams that can run the football. They're a violent group.
Starting point is 01:06:26 Notice when I talked about offensive lines, the first thing I said was the Eagles and I said Ravens. Yeah. Because they're gonna move everybody against they will when they play them. Detroit. They're not changing nothing regards to who they playing. Detroit is another one.
Starting point is 01:06:45 Oh yeah, oh I forgot, Penacea Soule and them boys. They don't play. No. So, I'm asking to see what they do. I'm gonna see if they're gonna be able to run the football. Dowdell is a, Rico Dowdell is a free agent. We don't see what they gonna do to do in the running back position. Right.
Starting point is 01:07:06 Well, you know, Zeke won't be back because they already let Zeke go. So now do they go into the draft? Do they get Gentie? I think they pick 12, 13. Will Gentie be available? That'd be a good one. What running back? What running back is going to be available?
Starting point is 01:07:23 Aaron Jones with Minnesota, they pushed his date back. Okay, could he become available? It seems like they want to get something long-term done, get him a couple of years. So it's going to be very, very interesting to see what the Cowboys do at running back position in free agency will probably kind of give you an indication of kind of direction that they're going to go with
Starting point is 01:07:44 in the draft. Oh, Joe, AJ Brown brought a life size mannequin to put his unwashed Super Bowl jersey on display in their home. AJ's longtime girlfriend posted a picture on Instagram. That's live. Port of you, your boyfriend buys a 6'2 mannequin to put his Game One Super Bowl uniform on. He indeed did not watch it. No, you can't watch it.
Starting point is 01:08:07 No, don't do that. That's live, man. That's dope. That has to be one of the greatest feelings and obviously coming from someone who never won a Super Bowl, played in one, but never won one, that's something I would do. That's something I would do.
Starting point is 01:08:18 And you see for that moment and to be able to have it in your house, man, hanging up like that on the man again full display Mouthpiece and all you don't see the mouthpiece He got the mouthpiece on helmet and everything. Oh, yeah, that's live That's live. Well, we're not gonna have a mouth Huh? We're gonna we're super bowl stuff in on the wall Okay, okay. Okay. Okay. Okay on the wall. It's dope
Starting point is 01:08:41 On the wall. Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. On the wall. That's dope. That's dope. But I don't know somebody, because you know they make you two jerseys. In Baltimore they gave me both of my jerseys. Somebody got, somebody, different guy got my 32 and 33
Starting point is 01:08:58 extra jersey. Right. Hold on, let me use the bathroom real quick. I didn't drink too much water. Go ahead. But, hold on. Let me use the bathroom real quick. I didn't drink too much water. But I like that. Got the shoes and everything on the mannequin. Damn AJ. Uh, I, I don't know what the pants are.
Starting point is 01:09:19 I ain't finna lie and tell you now about the pants. I know I got the jersey. Uh, I gave the Super Bowl helmet. I think Darryl Green got my Super Bowl helmet. Could I trade it with him? I'm almost certain Darryl Green got my Super Bowl helmet. I got my Super Bowl Ravens helmet. It's funny that I traded,
Starting point is 01:09:38 I remember going to the Super Bowl, I went to the Pro Bowl. I traded Pro Bowl helmets when I was with Denver. I traded Pro Bowl with Jonathan Ogden. I got that original. I don't know if Chet, who are Ravens fan, but it was like a wing or something. But it was it was kind of ugly. But J.O. I traded with J.O.
Starting point is 01:10:01 He and I had the same agent. He was with Marvin Demm of as well. O. I traded with J. O. He and I had the same agent. He was with Marvin Demoff as well. So But yeah, I still got obviously my jerseys are hanging up I got one hell what I know for sure. I don't know nobody pants. I don't know what a pants are here Nobody I mean I, the thing was, it's like, the thing was the jersey. Oh, chill. Nobody even thought, the jersey and the helmet. What nobody thinking about no pants.
Starting point is 01:10:32 Yeah. Well, what about your cleats? Cause you know, you're cleats, sometimes you're cleatsing me a special player. You know, especially now, especially. Somebody got them. Yeah. Uh, I'm trying to think. Because like when I played, like my last couple of years,
Starting point is 01:10:52 uh, Nike made me Pat Leather cleat. I remember the time, you know, you had to really be somebody to get a cleat. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Now everybody got a cleat. Hey, who wore the greatest heat today? I'm like, dude on special teams, he been telling me he got jobs? Right. How you run down on special team and you got Pat Leather joints don't you? Hey you look good. No, you're on special teams, get some get some some
Starting point is 01:11:17 three-quarters and go on out there and make a tackle. You don't need no Lutok cleat Pat Leather. But was like, I was playing the shoe and then I would practice it and I end up giving to a teammate. Hmm. Where your Super Bowl jersey at? Uh, at my grandma house. At my grandma house. My little brother, my little brother, he got most of my memorabilia.
Starting point is 01:11:45 A very good friend of mine in Cincinnati, when I left Cincinnati, he has most of my memorabilia. It just, I don't know what's wrong with me. Once I stopped playing the game of football, I didn't really care about memorabilia. I don't really have anything. I don't have anything. Friends of mine kind of keep everything
Starting point is 01:12:02 and once I removed myself from the game, I wasn't playing it anymore and I was at peace, I let everything disperse to those that know me.
