Let's put on the show. The Tennessee Titans beat the Seattle Seahawks, 1916. Cam Ward, 8 or 12, 69 yard, had a bad fumble. Drew Locke for the Seattle was 12 or 14, 103 yards of touchdown. Jalen Millro. Who. Boy, boy, boy, boy, boy, boy. Two horrible interceptions.

Take a time. I don't know. Let's take Seattle because Seattle looked great. Drew Lock looked really, really good in that first half. He was in complete control of the game. I mean, at one point in time, what was he like six for six? Ended up leading them down on two drives. Played really, really well.

They didn't miss a couple of field goals. But other than that, I thought Seattle in the first half, they played extremely well. And you've got to realize the Seattle's office did this against the Titans number one defense. His start is played. They played on both sides of the football and Seattle looked really well

with their second unit in there. Go ahead, Ocho. Mr. McDonnell, evaluating some of the second string guys for the Seattle Seahawks, he has to be happy. He has to be proud. So if anything goes wrong with any of the players, as far as the starters go, when the regular season starts,

he has the unmost trust. Based on what we just saw tonight from those that then start for the Seahawks, they scored in their first three possessions. Yep. They scored in their first three possessions. Hell, that's 21 points right there. 21 points in today's league, unless you're playing one of the better offensive

in the game. You should win the game. Yeah, you should win the game. The Titans, they didn't look good. They didn't look good. Cam Warden missing passes outside of that. They'll be okay. I think they'll be okay because he ended the season.

The last maybe five or six games, he looked really good. So I'm hoping he picks up where he left off last year. This is why we have a preseason to correct some of those mistakes to get that rhythm back, get that rhythm and timing back. But still, it is the preseason. The Seahawks look good with their twos and threes. The ones for Tennessee, offensively and defensively, they didn't look good at all. They didn't.

Joe, I thought, man, listen, I thought Drew Locke jumped out. He looked good, Uncle Ocho on the first couple drives, you know, a 36-yard touchdown to who was that, Arroyo? Yeah, Royal. And the right kid who broke for the 69-yard. are rushing touchdown, but the Titans starting defense struggled against Seattle's backup, you know, giving up them two touchdowns. But Cam didn't really impress me, Uncle Ocho.

You know what I mean? I thought Tennessee offense had trouble finishing drives and they had to settle for all them damn field goals. And you know, in the season, man, points are a premium in this league. You know, I expect a little more from Cam. But Seattle's backup came out way sharper than Tennessee starters, bro. The Titans moved a ball some, but. for the most part.

They were inconsistent all night. Seattle did miss two field goals. Guy hit a big field goal. They missed two. Remember, the guy celebrated. They celebrated after he got that interception and guys that weren't in uniform came on the field. So they assessed them a penalty,

backed them up. So they ended up trying like a 40 plus yard P.A.T. He missed that. He missed a couple of field goals. So this game really should have been 17 plus another six, probably 2319. and the Titans had to go down there and get a touchdown in order to win this ballgame. Yeah, I was disappointed.

I thought Cam Ward could have played a little better than what he played also, and especially going against the backups. Because, oh, to the way, I don't know how you thought about it, but I know if I'm going against the team's backups, I should have some success. Yeah. Because if I'm struggling against their backup, what the hell are we supposed to do against their starters? Yeah, most definitely. He missed some easy throws.

There should have been layups. Obviously, Cardinal Tate one time on the left. You missed Carl Nell Tate again on a. over route, you overshot him. I mean, really, really bad. I think because the defender was right on his hip. He was trying to shoot it out there as opposed to he was trying to throw him open, but he missed that one. I mean, listen, it's, it's, you know, you can nick pick on it. You want him to look better in the preseason, especially after already having one season under your belt and kind of correct some of the mistakes and make some of those easy throws because they're not

going to come as easy during the regular season. No, hell no. Hey, eh. Hey. Plus, Ocho, Carniel Tate got to do a better job on that go route. You ain't leave him room yeah okay I mean where he gonna throw that at oh so where he gonna put that at yeah he gotta get he got to give him some room bro you can't jab and then barely yeah he did you got to steal me you got to keep him tight let him fade you with the ball don't you fade before the ball get there because if you start fading he leads you there guess what that's I don't know even if he had caught it I don't see how he get his feet in because if you saw his right foot lands out of bounds so unless he just goes limp and I'm not balls

But that's, unless he just, hey, unless he just, you know, I'm saying, also that's what you got to do. Sometimes you just have to catch it and just, you let your body just like limp. And I don't know if he's there yet, but he's got to give his guy, these guys, that's the one thing I noticed with young wide receivers is that the things they get away with in college. You ain't getting away with that in the NFL now. No, sir. Not against these DBs. No, sir. So you got to be on your best behavior.

Now, let's go to the other side of the football, the C.S. Seattle Seahawks. I don't know what Jail and Melro on. He ain't got it on. I don't know what he saw. That first interception on Joe, I still, I rewind it, rewound it. I still don't know what he saw.

I have, I have no idea. He threw it straight to, he threw it straight to him. Straight, like the guy was, like the guy was like, like the DB ran the wall, ran the short cross. I'm like, bro, what are you doing? And then he came back and had another one. Yeah, those mistakes are costly. But if you think about it, and the thing is,

is that you see Trubisky with the second unit. See, after being in this system for a year, he should have been, Trubisky should be third. He should have went in there after Drew Lop. Now, it's going to be a very, very tough situation. Now, they could move on from Trubisky. They could, but I think Drew Lock is etched in at that two spot.

Now it's between Mill Roe and Trubisky for that third spot. Yeah. Do you think they'll keep, they bring their they'll let's say whoever wins the third spot you think they'll keep the next player on the practice squad or where the third person just take all the practice reps i look at the practice squad guys be in the league seven eight years and then come back and be on the practice squad bro you don't been playing you don't started and all this stuff and the number two draft pick it all of a sudden you can go to the practice squad uh might might ohcho yeah that might

maybe say you know what we still believe in him he just needs a little bit more time a little bit more seasoning, but at some point time, you can't keep making these silly, same silly ass mistakes. Right. That, that, that, that get, mistake, turnovers get you beat in professional sports. And it's hard for you to consistently overcome those. You can have them here periodically. But the consistently, the one thing that Seattle did a great job of did once they got

to the postseason did once they got to the post season, guys, is that it took care of football. Yeah. But, uh, he, he, he got some learning to do, Uncle and Ocho. I, I, I think Seattle, dead. definitely keep him. Melro, they'll probably let your biscuit go because there ain't no way there ain't no team carrying no damn four quarterbacks. I think we all know that. No, hell no. But no. No, but no, no, I think Merro's a, he a great project though, okay, oh Joe. You know what I mean?

Like you, you can still, you know, buy some time from here. They just won it last year. He didn't really had a whole lot of reps. He ain't had a whole lot of, you know, time out there to really, really have chemistry and continuity. But I'm with you, Uncle, I do expect for him to look way better than what he looked tonight. That's my point, especially a year up under his belt. That's what I'm saying. If he's a true rookie, okay, I'm gonna give him some latitude. Yeah, but not like this, not a, not a, not a, not a full year

of coming out and looking like this. And those are routine throws, bro. Yeah. A short cross, you don't get any simpler than that. Back foot hit, five, one, two, three, four, boom, ball gone. Yeah. That's it, it's simple. It ain't no read, no defense, but what he did, he got, got caught and then he,

bro, you cannot. not throw the ball late. You throw the ball late in death in that league in the league that you and I put, Ocho. It's going the other way. Yeah. Yes. It's going the other way.

And you know that. I'm sure they instilled that in you at Alabama. I'm sure they tried to talk to you through this your first year at Seattle. You can't be late with the football. These guys are too good. They're too well coached. They're schemed up. You throw that ball late is going the other way.

I hope you can tackle. because he catched that on the dead run. You got to realize he's going one way. The offense is going the other way. Yeah. Offensive lineman ain't really built the tackle. So we're going to see. I think the last game,

I think Trubisky and Mill Roe would take all the rips. I don't see a scenario. Obviously, Sam Donald hadn't played the first two games, so I don't see him playing the last game. And even Drew Locke will probably sit out because I think Drew Locke is clearly the number two. quarterback, and basically they'll probably give Chibiskey the first half. They'll let Mill Roe take the second half.

Todd Munkin was asked about Deshaun's postgame comments. He had some very interesting things to say about it. Let's take a listen to what Mr. Munkin had to say. Let me hear this. How's it feel to get booed? I mean, it's a pretty easy question. It sucks. I don't want to get booed.

It comes with the territory. You don't want to get booed? Let's play good football. Let's play good at quarterback. Let's play good on offense. Let's play good as a team. And then you don't have to worry about all that. Because it can turn just like that.

Win, play good football, and everybody will be fine. That's just part of it. I didn't. So I told him, you good? We're good. Part of what we do. Joe, what I said last night, Joe? What?

Winning Cures all. Uncle. Yeah. Even if you don't win if you play good football, Ocho. He didn't be playing good football, let alone winning. Yeah, that, that too. Listen, the two go hand in hand because if you win it, obviously you've got to be playing good football to win.

True. So let's start there first with playing good football, trying to do every, what I don't want to do. This is what I don't like. This is what I don't like. The pressure, all the booing, I still want you to be able to play freely. I don't want you to tense up. I don't want you to be scared to make certain throws.

Because what you get is, you get a, you get a Deshawn Watson that's a shell of himself, that's not playing to his full potential because he wants to do everything right. He wants to do everything perfect. The best version of the ISO Joe is when you're free out there being able to play ball without worrying about making mistakes. That's when you're at your best. Now at the quarterback position

right now, especially with the Seaners are going through, I want him to have that that, I hate saying this, that not give a fuck feeling. Not about how the fans are feeling, but when it comes to his play and being a process information and wanting to make plays. Don't be scared. get to do certain stuff. Just do it. Just go. Play freely. Hey, that's, that's ran his course, Ocho. Okay, Ocho is ran. I'm just keeping it real. Man, it's ran his course. I, you know,

listening to Deshaun talk, he just, he seems like he's kind of out of it. And the fact that he's kind of against the fans at this point, y'all know the fans here. They don't want to pay the salaries. Y'all know that, right? You can't win against them. You can't. You need them on your side. Man, what? You need it. That young man needs a. a change of scenery. Okay, Ojo, I'm sorry. Cleveland just ain't the spot. And Todd Monkin said he's going to announce the starter tomorrow.

I expect for it to be should do a Sanders. That's just what I see. Yeah, I think the thing is, Todd put the hit the nail on the head when he said, look, you don't want to get booed play better football. It's really as simple as that. Just play better football. Give them something to cheer about. Right now, you're giving them boo play.

So they're booing. If they see something they don't like, they're going to boo. Every time. Every time. Every single time. And I think the thing is what Deshaun is missing is that, yes, what transpired in Houston happened years ago. Some people have forgiven you and moved on. Yes.

Some people haven't. You must understand and accept those that have given you grace and those that haven't. It's okay because you couldn't please everybody. Just like you had some fans that like you, some fans didn't like you. Now, it, Ocho, we've been there. Yeah, we've been there. I'm sure there's some people that got off

the Sheldon Sharp train and I understand it. I'm not upset at you. It's life. That's what happens. And maybe they were just looking for an opportunity to jump off, Ocho and Joe. Yeah. We gave them that.

Yeah. Now all I can do is just to go play, be at my absolute best. That's all I can do. All I can do is come out here with me and Ocho, it was just Ocho and I, and every single night had to show up, put my best foot forward,

and pretend like I was dying inside, to pretend like nothing is bothering me, like the comments that I cannot see. But I can't let that impact me because now I've already impacted enough people. Now the last thing I want to have happened is to have this thing go aside, and now I'm really impacting Ocho.

At least if we go on, I can still make payroll. I can still pay my employees because of my bonehead decisions and putting them at risk. So I understand perfectly. If anybody understands what Deshawn Watson is going through, it is one Shannon Sharp. Right. Yes up.

But Deshawn, you have to understand. Some people, as I said before, have given you grace, said, hey, he made a mistake and moved on. some people have not and will not you have to accept that be okay with that still put the blinders on and look straight ahead down the field if they boo they boo if they cheer they cheer but all the thing i can't control because you can't control the booing or the cheering except with your play yeah give them something to cheer for and you know what i'm less to boo about yeah i'm glad you said that

too uncle joe when i think about it i think about when baker mayfields were cleveland you know what they did at one point when they weren't winning. What's that? They booed Baker. Yeah. I think about Sam Donald. When Sam Donald was the Jets. You know what they did to Sam Donald? We weren't playing well? What's that? They booed him. Now those two... Zach Wilson, booed him. Oh, yeah. Now, those people, those two

quarterbacks right now have made their way in situations where there's more tears than it is booze. So now, Deshaun, he's in Cleveland right now. I don't know what time, what the city he's going to make tomorrow, come tomorrow. But if, if, just so, if just so happened, he becomes the starter and Todd Monkin decides to roll with him.

He has to do everything in his power to play good football. Forget the winning. Forget the win, but the wins and losses come on your shoulders because you're the one that gets to touch the ball the most. Yep. You control everything. So I'm, listen, I'm a football fan and I want to see everybody win at respect to craft,

even though I play for the Bengals. I want to see Deshawn do well. I want to see the Brown do well, except when they play the Bengals. Right. Especially with the, the constant discourse and dialogue surrounding the Browns for so long. At this point, I just want to see Deshaun win.

I just want to see him win. Joe, let me ask you this. Do you believe his comments at the podium last night after the presser? Do you believe that will have any impact on the decision the Browns make who their starting quarterback will be week one? Yes. And I think Ty Monkin, when he spoke today, he wasn't being wholeheartedly truthful. you know that has to make a difference man listen we talking about Deshawn feels like since he's gotten to Cleveland Arcan Ocho what four years ago

hell they ain't cheered for him since he got there he been getting booed since he's been there man ain't nothing changed bro you can tell in that man post post interview how he spoke and how he talked about the fans he said it was deeper than just his play which is really honestly I don't really think it is I think hell if he played pretty good they wouldn't they wouldn't boo as much as they did especially yesterday but for the most part if he come out if he bawled out uncle Ocho man the folks won't be born

they're born because of your play but he feels it's a deeper it's deeper rooted than that it is because you came that you came you came to Cleveland with a stench on you they knew about that we got to be real the one thing

that we're going to do here at nightcare we're going to have real honest conversation Deshawn they saw with the baggage that you came with now with that baggage, you didn't help your situation that you played. You were suspended to begin with. And then you played the last five games. You were awful.

Let's not sugar-coded. He was awful, chat. You know it, I know it, Joe, know it, Ocho knows it. He was bad. So how can I cheer? I want to cheer for, I want to cheer because you play for my team. You play for the team that I grew up watching. You play for the team that my father grew up watching.

My grandfather grew up watching. And you were supposed to be the quarterback that we have, not really had since Otto Graham and Bernie Kozar. You were supposed to be it. They've been looking for a quarterback for the better part of 40 years. And they believe they had finally got it. And come to find out he's playing just as bad as all the other quarterbacks they've had, the 25, 30 quarterbacks that they've had up until they got to Sean.

Hey. Now, you get hurt the next year. You hurt your shoulder, but you're playing bad. guess what you come back to next year you tear your Achilles and you don't even and guess what after you tell your Achilles you end up ripping the gear you don't come back at all yeah the last memory they have of you of you playing bad and even when you get and I'm not excusing it so Chad please don't get me wrong don't get me wrong I'm not excusing them

booing a player that's injured I'm not so I don't want people to say what you No, I'm not saying that. All I'm saying is that the last thing that they remember is that you were playing bad before you got injured. Yeah. That's what they remember. You didn't give them anything really to cheer about. I don't think Deshaun, he might have 100, 300-yard game since he's been in Cleveland.

Ash, look that up for me. And you could tell when he was talking last night, this has been on his mind. This has been his heart for a minute. Yep. he didn't really say what he wanted to say because he understood what it was going to be go it had been it had been a trending time it still was trending but this thing would have trended for days had he really spoke how he really felt yeah so with that being said it's uh his play has not been exemplary his play has not been what to write home about his play has not been cheerworthy and i cannot in good conscience cheer just because you i mean and some people do some people like no come hell the high water i'm going to cheer for my team. Right. But as Todd Munkin said in his early purse coming,

because I heard the entirety of it, he's like, look, if you order, you order a meal, you order your soup, and it come out cold, yeah, you're going to be pissed. Yeah. I'm paying for this. The fans are paying to see good football. You haven't given them bad. And I know it's frustrating.

I know. But at the end of the day, you walk by a bunch of them things every day. even if they're not mirrors, they're reflected glass and you can see yourself. We don't have anybody to blame but ourselves. Hello. That's it. Hello. So if you thought having that

outburst or what they call it, Ocho, any time you say something that's not that doesn't follow the guidelines, they call it ranting. If you thought that rant was going to elicit you sympathy, if anything, it drove people further the other way. Yeah, probably. So think about this. So think about this,

okay, Ocho. Let's say tomorrow time Munkindu announced Shador as a starter. Man, you can't have that man out there, Deshaun Watson. There's no backup. Think about what 18 weeks will look like, even if he do happen to touch the damn field. Man, the folks don't, I'm going to keep it real with y'all. I don't know if y'all know, but them folks in Cleveland don't want to see that.

I'm sorry. They don't. They don't. They made that clear, too. Hey, Unkin, Joe. At what point, as much as the fans are responsible, for most of the success when it comes to the players being paid, teams having success.

Who makes the final call at the end of the day regardless of how the fans feel? Owner. That's all it comes down to. And the owner who cut them, who write them check, Joe? Owners. So who you think going to be the starting quarterback tomorrow?

Should do it. Because I'm steady telling you an aunt. If I'm tired monkey, why am I taking the job, bro, if I know I ain't going to have no damn say so, who my quarterback going to be. Because there's only 32 of them. Yeah, you got to. But I'm saying somebody telling you, Joe, you know what Joe?

We're going to give your job in the NBA. But them shots that you got in college, don't even think about shooting them. You said no or you said, okay. Hold on, but what I'm saying is, okay, I got two quarterbacks. I got three quarterbacks I can choose for. Now, the least I can do is Ty Monkin. I can have a quarterback battle. Okay, Ocho, I ain't giving nobody nothing.

I'm going to let all y'all compete and play. Now, if Shado has outplayed him and he deserves a starting job, how do you make Deshaun a backup, bro? That's what I'm saying. I think. Oh, I don't believe. Now, that's where we do agree, you and I agree.

But in situations like there, there are certain situations, Cleveland and Dallas are two. All you do is coach the team. You don't have no say over the 53. You don't have no say over the draft. You don't have no say over free agency. There's only 32 of those guys.

There are 32 NFL head coaches of 8 billion people in the world. I got one of those jobs. sometimes you just sit down and STF up and keep it moving and keep it moving

because you want that job so bad I'm a head coach think about it he was a coordinator at Georgia coordinator for what two years, three years at Baltimore and not he'll head coach

hey hey that's fast-tracking Joe that's fast-tracking and we're going to Hey, y'all sound like y'all want to put something on there. Y'all put a little wage on it? No, no, I'm not saying. I'm not, look, whatever decision is made, it's going to be made by the front office.

Think about this, though. Cleveland right now is in an uproar. behind this whole thing, especially Deshawn Watson post game interview. Yeah. And they, they're going to lose it, bro. If, if they, if Todd Monkin announced that he's the starting quarterback tomorrow, they're going to lose it. The fans of Cleveland going to lose it, bro.

Hey, hey, Uncle Joe. They're going to lose it. I'm telling you not, Joe. I don't want you to be upset when we come on the show tomorrow night. And I'm not even going to say I told you so because I've been right all year. I'm kind of used to winning and I'm kind of used to being right. But I know what I know what they're going to make. I know what decision they're going to make up there.

And even in being, you think about the part of, let's say, okay, they, they name Sodor. Think about this, this concept. They names to do it or the starter. All right. It's no point in having to Sean Watson making $40, $46 million sitting on our bench. That just makes no sense. You got to cut ties with them, Otoe. And listen, they're not going to do that either.

Oh, we're going to cut them and we're still in 46 million. That just makes absolutely no sense. I mean, from a, from a business perspective, not. Forget football. Oh, Joe. The Broncos owned, they took an $85 million cap hit with Russ. What did the Packers take? Damn near $100 million with Rogers.

Hold on. Hey, you know that money don't mean nothing to them. Did you just name, did you just hear, did you just compare the organizations, the Packers organization, the Broncos Organized to Cleveland? Hey, we already know what the do-Doodoo Browns do. Okay. Now you think they got the name. You can compare.

You can't compare those two organizations, two winning organizations. That's where you can't compete. You can't compare. Yep, there we go. Take your time. We're going to talk about a situation where the defensive man from Seattle got too close to the quarterback. Yeah. What Mike McDonald do?

Took his ass out of practice. Yeah. Stay away from the quarterback. Cleveland, what they do. They knock hell out of your door. You see the difference? You ain't competing where you can't compare. If I can't compare winning organizations, if I got, if that's, think about what you said, Ocho.

Look at the organization you just named. Up. There it is. Yeah. That makes all the money. He has not had a single. Deshawn Watson didn't have a single in seven games in 2024. He did not have a 200-yard passing game.

His last passing 200-yard game came in 2023. And, hey. And think about this. as a rookie last year. Hell, if I'm mistaken, I think Shadour is the only rookie that throw for 300 to have a 300-yard game last year. I think he's the only rookie

have a 300-yard game last year. I'm trying to say, who is the quarterback? Cam Ward, Tyler Shook. I don't know, maybe Shook. We'll get to that, Joe. Albert Briff says, I went into yesterday pretty certain that Deshawn Watson was going to be the Brown starter.

Now I'm not sure he's going to be on the team. The press conference is going to be difficult to come back from. We'll see what the decision makers reckon with. Browns anticipate naming the starting quarterback tomorrow, according to Todd Monkin, who is Monkin is announcing the starter. I'm going to lean with Joe. The only thing I've said, I just believe they should have cut Deshawn Watson. They made a situation, they exacerbated the situation.

They could have made this decision easy from the jump. Now, listen, now you just gone cut ties with them on. Okay, Ocho. Deal with the riff that's going to come. behind it but here put that behind you bro and try to move forward with these young guys let you do have a full season and then make a break see you see what he got see what he can do but you just sit him for the first four weeks and did no man come on man i don't see i don't think they're going to be an uproar i don't think the cleveland proud are going to be a pro

His offensive line was terrible. Now, he did have D. Hopp. And D. Hop balled with anybody. Case Keenham, he played at Cleveland.

He played at the Patriots. It didn't matter who the quarterback was. D. Hop was that good in his prime. Brian Hoyer. That's who it was. Brian Hoytoyer. So I don't, I just don't, I just don't, I, I'm leaning towards what Joe saying that, hey,

should do it's go get named the starter? And, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, would probably end up getting released, but I just felt they should have released him before the season. That's what I told you, Ocho just released him before the season because I don't believe he can do enough to win over that fan base.

It's just, and I don't think it's 50, it's not like 50% of fans, love Deshaun, like, Deshaun, and 50% don't. It's like 9010, 955. Hey, it's bad. You can win that 95, he can win that 95 over now.

He's been getting it up out of that pretty quick though as of late in these, you know, especially this last game. He's been getting out of that quick. But yeah, I'm with you. them interception, them I and T. If you don't throw that one, I'm telling y'all, and they go down there in school.

guys I'm chat I don't know what y'all see but from watching that interview man it told me a lot bro oh hey told me oh hey listen the chat is going to agree with you Joe chat is going to agree with you the chat feel the same way you do matter of fact everybody probably feels the exact same way you do I'm thinking like the man sitting upstairs who signed into that check I'm thinking like him if I was going to let him go, he would have been going already, so we had a clean slate with the door taking all the reps from day one when training camp started. The fact that they made it a quarterback competition and one makes so much more than the other, as a owner, I'm always going with

the money man until he loses his job. That was the first time. When we talked about this, I said is Deshaun Watson's job to lose regardless of anything. He might have lost it, Ocho. With his play at that commentary after the press, after the post game, he might have lost it. Hey, listen, I'm all for two being in at the start. I'm starting. I'm all for two. You know that. I'm all for it.

But I'm thinking of the other side of the spectrum. The best part about it is that before you go, Joe, the best part about it, we're going to be on tomorrow night. So we'll find out. So we'll have a lot to talk about. That's going to be the number one lead. That'll be the number one lead. The topic, that'll be the A block, the entire A block.

I mean, as far as I know, he's at a medical issue that wasn't allowing him to practice. That's a medical, you know, issue. It's nothing to do with me, you know, and then he was cleared, so we dressed him just in case we had to have him.

But when you don't rep, it's hard to put him on the field. J.T. was out there, so we don't want to get Blake hurt. He's only been with us a week and we had a number of things where Browns hurt Browns and which to the naked eye you won't see, but we had a number of things that way when you're putting in guys that haven't really been there and some of that's true and some of it, you know, isn't good enough from us as coaches once they go out there, but I mean, I don't know what to say. I mean, you know, I wondered why Lane Kippen reached out a week ago, now I know.

I mean, shit, I didn't know, now I know. I didn't call them back now. I guess I should have. Appreciate you. Thank you. Thank you. What thing is, he's entertaining. Todd Munkin is very entertaining.

He doesn't make the team. If another team doesn't pick him up, he gets to go back to college? I thought once you declared for the draft, now they would give you X amount of days to take your name out of the draft, Joe. Or once you went past that deadline, Ocho, you had to stay in the draft.

Right. But now you can go, not only if not a deadline, you can go all the way, get drafted, it'll become a free agent, practice, play, get a bonus. I ain't say you're getting millions, of dollars, but you're getting something. Yeah.

And then say, you know what, man, this ain't working out for me. Man, let me, let me, let me go back and play in college. Man, that is so wrong. That is so, so wrong. NCAA, y'all need to get y'all stuff together. Congress, court system, y'all know this ain't right.

I mean, we, we have a conversation, but we, this should take, this should take like five minutes. Yeah. If y'all don't get your rushed ass and try to make a football team or go get a regular job, yeah. Y'all got to take your little, y'all big asses back to college.

It shouldn't take five minutes. It shouldn't take five minutes at all. For one, obviously, it's a dream of yours, obviously, you know, to want to play in the NFL. If you don't make it into the NFL, there are other leagues that you can go play in. You can play in the CFL. You can play arena ball.

Yeah. Going back to college, to me, it just makes no sense in general. If anything, you want to better yourself to try to get an opportunity to make an NFL team somewhere, work on your craft. Going back to college, does you know justice? That's just as all.

Because you've already played in college, you weren't good enough to make an NFL team. Why would you go back to college? Because you want to dominate because you couldn't. Hey, and y'all in the chat talking about, oh, you hating. Y'all dumb. Listen.

To think a guy that can go get drafted, go get drafted. Whether he got drafted or he has an undrafted free agent. Go play in NFL and go back to college? Do you know, Ocho? Just imagine you go for the Bengals and say, you know what, man, y'all ain't playing me. I'm going back to college. Do you know what you would have did to college kids

knowing what you know after being in the NFL? Just for three, just for a month, just for two months. Do you understand? Y'all don't understand it. What a NFL player would do. If he just goes and gets coaching from NFL coaches and be on the NFL team for those two months, let alone he's been on there for 40.

So he got, so the drafts in April, May, June, July, So four months and go back to college, if he's worth anything, he should destroy those college kids. But you heard the key thing? If he's worth anything, was he good when he was in college?

Was he drafted high to begin with? So maybe he's really not that good. So the fact that he does go back, it really doesn't make any sense if you weren't even that boy when you was in college the first time. Hey, hold on, hold on. Joe, okay, Joe, where do we stop it?

I go, I go to college. I go to, because I get, so if I go to college, go to college and things don't go my way. I'm 17 years old. I get to go back to high school? Why not? When we stop in it, Joe? Listen, I think,

if I'm a freshman, do I get him to go back to junior high? That's a good one. You're going down to, you're going down a slippery slope. Hey, listen, the system is definitely messed up, but I think y'all gripes and groans

at the wrong person, the player. It's not his damn fault. They got all these loopholes in there, where guys can go back to college. Hell, Peter Paul said, try it all. Hey, look, it ain't working right here. It ain't working in Cleveland. Look, let me go back to college here.

Lane Kippen probably got a little bag over there for him. Hell, he probably feels like, he'd go dominate in college. Like I'll say, he probably wasn't good from the first. But hell, if I can go dominate in college and give me another bag, hey man, why not? I think we need to be mad at the system versus the player. He's just taking advantage of the loop. holds that's in the system.

and in college they're getting paid. They're getting paid in high school too, Joe. Yeah, some of them are getting a little money. You get the million dollars. Yeah. Is that a little something? No, there's a lot of something. In high school?

Man, please. Yeah. Yeah, $50,000, $100,000, a lot of something for a high schooler. Man, what is you talking about? about. But I just think the system, the system messed up. I think when they, when they start doing the NIL, it's so many loopholes now guys. Yeah, they didn't, yeah, they didn't have a system in place. And how to, and how to, what's the word I want to do, oversee it. And it's just like, it was

just a wild, wild west. Yeah. You got money? Okay, I'm going there. You got money? No, I'm leaving here and going there. And guys now just like, you. You're just like, you. You're, you. You're, you got money. I'm leaving here and going there. And guys now just like, it's hard to coach a guy. Because the first time you say something sideways, oh, he's jumping in that portal. Yeah.

Oh, yeah. Yeah. You can't get no guy. You can't give him no criticism. I mean, it's just so tough. Think about this. Guys who are coming out of high school, Uncle Ocho, 17, 18 years old,

hell, if you ain't that boy, your ass ain't going to get to play nowhere. You don't get to play nowhere. out. And this really hurts high schoolers. So you basically got to be a four or five star now because the portal is so wide open and teens walk people from the portal because they've already been in college. They already know about study halls. They already know about lifting. They already know about the practice schedule. So I'm getting a guy that's already been in the system before. Experience. They want experienced guy. Hey, man, these dudes are getting paid now. We can't, hey, man,

Look, if I'm the head coach of a collegiate sport, hey, man, I want the best opportunity for my team to win. And they, and they willing to, hey, look at Lane Kevin. Lane Kevin say, man, they didn't give me all this money at LSU. Yeah, boy, I got to try to deliver a natty. Hey, hey, whoever can help me, please, come on, come back. Yeah. Terrell Price should say, I'm going back.

Y'all took my eligibility. I'm going back and get my little years. Damn, Terrell Pratt played in the league by 10, 11, 12, yeah. with it. They took his college career from him. They took a year from it. Go back and get that one year. Damn, I told you I wanted to go back then. You tell you to. Hey, hey, Joe, you owe to us to be a granddad. He got there. He got there trying to do with him like 18, 90 to your own kid, oh Joe.

And anytime you've got a system where anything goes, it's just a matter of time before it goes, hey, why? This is why a lot of these coaches because they see where this thing was headed. They're like, man, I can't be a part of this. Now, as long as it leveled the playing fields, as long as they had a decided advantage. They was okay with it.

They was okay with it. Like, yeah, like your boy at the Saban in Alabama. Savant, Codney, Roy Williams. There are a lot of them. Yes, there are a lot of them. Dabo Sweeney said if the players start getting paid, he was going to retire. Well, they're going to be getting paid for about five years now.

And he's still coaching. Yeah, he ain't going nowhere. Hell not. He ain't given up his 11, 12, million dollar salary, but he don't want the players to get nothing. No, it's coach. And how do you think he got that $11, $12 million? Hello.

Hello. I don't, I don't look, I draw the line with this. You go to the NFL, you go to the NBA, you got to stay. You either make it in the NBA or the NFL or you go get you a regular job. And you're not taking your ass back. Not even a regular job, Uncle Joe, if you love the sport, if you love the sport of football and you don't make it in the NFL, you continue to train. you continue to train at the NFL level. Going back to college, it's not going to get you any better.

Dominating against players that are probably not going to make it to the NFL that you're trying to get yourself into isn't going to help you improve at all because you didn't make it the first time. To me, it makes no sense. I mean, I wish young bull, you know, all the luck. Hell, he was hurt. He couldn't stay healthy. He couldn't even get health in Cleveland.

I mean, Mr. Monkens said it was a medical issue, right? Medical issue, yeah. When you have the same medical issue, going back to college? That man ain't had no medical issue. That man did he had, he had something in the band. There you go. Hey, hey, hey, I'm reading the fine print, man. Y'all ain't going to pull the wool over my eyes.

I see what going on. Hey, hey, but I do agree that you got to get a hold of this, Uncle, Ocho, because think about this. Come next year, hell, it could be three, four, five dudes who may try to pull this same exact thing. And now you just started a ripple effect. Yeah, a trend. Yeah.

Oregon coach Dan Lending, sides off on NFL players returning to college. You're professional now. Once you declare for the draft, so let any of those players come back, fair or unfair to them, it's unfair to the sport. And I think it's unfair to the players

that are current teams for those guys trying to be coming back. Yeah. I agree. I 1,100%, 15% agree. Out of control. Of all the things that I thought would happen to college sports

in my lifetime. If somebody would have told me this, Ocho, that you have a guy, go to the NBA or go to the NFL, not make it, get released, and have the ability to go back to college. Well, you started, COVID really threw everything out of whack because you had guys that were 26 and 27

still on the college campus. Yeah. Playing a college sport. Guys have his eighth year of eligibility, his ninth year of eligibility. Come on now. Now y'all, come on. At some point in time, bro, you got to let it go.

And when do you say these players are not very good anyway? When do we be honest? They're not very good anyway. They're not good enough to play on the NFL team, let alone make it. You know, you have 53 spots and you got 15 on the practice squad. They weren't good enough to do that. Therefore, I mean, we up and our involvement going back to college. I mean, the chances are you're not going to be good enough.

enough to play back in college when you get there either. I disagree with that. No, they're going to be able to play back college. Yeah, he going to ball out in LSU. I don't know what LSU got on, what they tight end room look like over there? I'm not familiar with it, Joe. I'm not familiar with it.

Look, consider that Lane Kevin knows how to call an offense and knows how to get the ball, you look at what he was able to do with O.J. Howard. Now, I'm not saying this guy has O.J. Howard skills but he knows how to get the ball to his weapons. It's one thing he can do. He can call an offense. You like him or dislike him, arrogant or whatever,
