Hi, I'm Sarah Spain, host of Good Game with Sarah Spain and the co-author of the new book
Runs in the Family, an incredible true story of football, fatherhood and belonging written
with and about Las Vegas Raiders running backs coach Dylan McCullough.
It's the story of a football coach and father of four who sees his life forever changed
by the unsealing of his adoption records.
And it's got a twist you won't believe.
Based on the viral ESPN
story I did a few years ago, this book will blow your mind and bring you to tears. Buy runs in the
family wherever books are sold. Welcome to Nightcap Takeover Week 2.
It's a real T-Stad Takeover.
I am your host, Teron Armstead,
joined by a living legend, an active legend,
the all-time sack leader in New Orleans Saints history,
True Ironman. This guy has over 200 starts.
Over a hundred, he has 128 and a half and three quarters sacks.
Brother, none other than the future hall of famer, Cam Jordan.
Yeah, I appreciate putting that steak on there.
You gave me seven extra sacks, bro.
I'm only 121 and a half deep, you know?
But it's in 120s, I appreciate it.
21 sacks is insane.
Insane.
Hey, God is good.
Something like 49 different quarterbacks, 121 sacks.
You know, there's like another five and a half in playoffs,
but like that don't count't count. Allegedly.
I met Ron 23 Michael Jordan type number, you know what I'm saying?
Two, three.
And we're going, we're going to get into, we're going to get into some situations
tonight.
I want, I want the viewers to understand the level of petty cam Jordan, like the
limps that he go to be petty and the way that he prepares to be petty.
Why do you know exactly how many times you've sat that one person?
Well, one, because it's not just like a franchise record or like, because, you know, I do hate the Falcons the way that I hate them.
But two, like, you know, articles have came out.
There's in the Hall of Fame, they were like,
dang, there's one defensive player
that sacked one quarterback the most times out of anybody
in the 108 years of NFL history.
It's me and Matt Ryan.
Really?
Yeah, that's why.
It's historic.
That's legendary.
You should know that.
You're right.
You're right.
You should know.
Do you have a stat of how many times
you pancake one particular guy? If you look on the a stat or like how many times you pancake one particular
guy, if you look on the league, like, Oh, when I line up against him, that's,
that's food.
Like whether, you know, it's a nondescript defense man.
Cause he, every time he tells the field, he like his, his cleats barely
tired or he sponsored by Adidas, you know, you know, he ain't coming off
the edge like that.
Okay.
I feel you should, you should know that number. That is history. So the most times one defensive
player has sacked one quarterback is 23 as cam Jordan second, Matt Ron. Yeah. I think second
shot was somewhere in like the teens. Like, you know, I think it's like Aaron Donald and Russ or
somebody and Vaughn Miller and Phillip Rivers, But they're in the teens, we left that.
And they might be underage with what they say.
You know what I'm saying?
I'm legal in this thing.
We catching drinks with that thing.
And as a mutual Falcons hater, I love that.
I love that.
That is great to know.
Crazy part, I didn't even finish the intro.
I didn't, I'll get back to the intro.
But crazy part about this whole Falcon Saints thing is
we both know the GM, Terry Fine know very, very well.
So it makes it, for me, it makes it a little harder
to hate them so publicly, even though I still do it.
I fight that, but for you, does it change at all?
No, no.
No, Terry is my dog to this day.
It's a lot like me being a Laker hater.
Like I got nothing but love for Terry Fontenot,
but he left this like David on your model.
I, you know, David on your model is my dog.
Big old, come on now.
Come on.
Like these are my dogs.
But when you go put on that trash, that trash color,
I never sat with red anyway. You know what I'm saying? Like Eric, my dogs. But when you go put on that trash, that trash color, I never sat with red anyway.
You know what I'm saying?
Like my high school back in my high school days, our rival high school was this weird ass maroon.
You know, I go to college.
It's that ugly ass, whatever, whatever Stanford is, you know what I'm saying?
It's a pathetic scarlet, you know, whatever color they want to put out there with the dancing tree.
So we go to the Saints and it's a wannabe blood red,
but the only one people be bleeding is the Falcons.
Like it's crazy.
I'm with you.
So like red is just not my color.
It's not meant to be.
No blood for Cam Jack.
Yeah, unless Tate go to like one day, allegedly,
that man said he gonna get draft he going to them felt and I'm not saying on business over over my hate
Like, you know, if he does if he ever get drafted by the Falcons, guess what would be?
All right. All right. I wanted to know how deep does that hatred go?
Like how far down that cuz if tank line up in a Falcons uniform, yeah.
You a fuck like, like if he get drafted there, like high drafted there.
Yeah.
If we load drafted there, we may be able to finesse some things
and get them out of here.
He had to do a bid real quick, but we get them out of there.
No, no, you can't do that.
You're going to have to be a Falcon.
You got to get a Falcon tattoo.
Oh boy.
That's the only, the only tattoo I got is a wifey.
You know, wedding ring is the only one.
You know what I mean?
I know you are.
But it's just, it's part of it.
It's part of it.
You gotta do it.
That's your story.
No, don't put that on me, brother.
I got one tattoo.
It's I've been married for seven years,
as I've been having yesterday.
I'm getting it.
I'm getting it.
If my son ever get drafted in the field, I'm getting it.
Yeah.
Oh, shoot.
You got to put truth on there too, like truth by Veer.
You know what I'm saying?
Hey, look, one day when I get more tattoos, yeah,
I might add that to the story.
When I get the legacy.
But we low-key getting a little too old for tattoos.
Low-key?
I'm 35, cousin. Ain't no low key, high key.
You right, you right.
What they gotta do, I might do it anyways
cause I can't be stopped now.
What can they do?
Cam J gonna do what Cam J wanna do.
Let's just intro my good brother.
I'm sorry, yeah, yeah, yeah, my good brother.
I'm sorry. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
My bad.
Is it a start of your intro?
My apologies.
Welcome to Nightcap Takeoff.
All right, no, I don't have to go that far,
but I'm here with my cohost,
legendary future Hall of Famer Cam Jordan.
Later we'll be joined by our little brother,
Cesar Ruiz.
He's the right guard for the New Orleans Saints.
And make sure you please subscribe, like, nightcap show,
filling in for Shannon Sharp and Ocho Cinco,
Uncle Shay Shay and Ocho, they are doing whatever
they're doing in their respective places,
vacation or whatever.
Thoughts and prayer is prayers up to ISO Joe,
Joe Johnson, I'm still not sure of the magnitude
of his injury he suffered yesterday
and why he wasn't able to be on Nightcap.
But definitely thinking about ISO Joe that he got it,
you know, hope is not too serious
so he can still call that, call out ISO and bink, bink,
whoever want to bink, bink, whoever want to walk up,
he bink, bink, you know what I mean, ISO Joe.
So definitely looking out for those guys, holding it down here at Nightcap. Bink, bink, whoever wanna bink, bink, whoever wanna walk up, he bink, bink. You know what I mean? Iso Joe.
So definitely looking out for those guys,
holding it down here at Nightcap.
Cam J, we had, I'm talking about my Dolphins,
if you don't mind.
Yeah.
Don't talk, easy, brother.
Okay.
What you mean?
I like the Dolphins.
Okay.
We had to block yesterday.
We had Jalen Ramsey go.
Jalen Ramsey for Minka.
Johnno Smith for Minka Fitzpatrick
in the fifth round pick.
Wait, oh wait, it was Johnno too?
Jalen Ramsey, Johnno Smith in the seventh round pick.
So nobody talked about that.
They just said Jalen for Minka.
I thought it was a head up deal.
I said, dang.
No, Johnno.
Johnno.
Johnno, dang.
Got a young gun.
Yeah, he nice.
He up and coming.
I don't know how many years you could say
somebody's up and coming, but.
Yeah, I mean, he's coming off a career year for sure.
John knew, John knew he was incredible last year.
He was the offensive MVP,
or the MVP of the whole team, if you ask me,
for the Dolphins.
So, I think he found with his display
of what he did last year,
he's going to be a focal point in any offense.
Like you see what he can do.
He's a running back once he gets the ball in his hands,
he's very hard tackled.
So John was a beast.
Losing him hurt.
You lose Jalen Ramsey for Minka Fitzpatrick,
you can justify that, especially because Ramsey was publicly unhappy,
like he wanted to get out of there.
So you get back in all pro, all world safety,
arguably the best in the league, you know,
but losing that added component of John Luke Smith, that does hurt.
It does hurt.
I mean, you say that, but then, you know, you had a, he had the, the,
a former NFL player via rapper turn, you know, unretired.
He released, he released the track in front of Allegiant stadium.
It was like, you know what, go back to football.
I see. I didn't even get to that part yet.
Okay. Well, you lose, you lose when you bring one back, you know?
Right. So I think, as I say, John Luke Smith is a loss
from everything that he done last year.
You look at the roster before today,
and that is a void.
We don't really have a tight end on the roster
that can do what John Luke Smith does for an offense
until today happens.
Darren Waller comes out of retirement and is traded to the Miami Dolphins until today
happens during Waller comes out
of retirement and it's traded
to the Miami Dolphins. How do
you feel about the trade from
yesterday now that this new
development has happened? Hey
one out one in huh? That's that's
uh I mean he I don't think he
can replace a young guy like John Smith and And again, what do you have? Like 800 yards, 90 yards this last year?
I think it was a thousand.
I don't think so.
I don't think that a thousand is a hard mark for a tight end.
I'm not going to knock him down, but I'm going to say it was eye opening.
It wasn't like, oh, bro.
Newt probably had a thousand last year.
I'm not exactly sure.
I got to fact check. You know what?'m not exactly sure. I got a fact check.
You know what?
I can do this.
I got a phone.
Don't worry about it.
880, 884 yards, eight tutties, 52 yards a game.
Round it up to not 900.
That's pretty random.
But hey, that's solid.
That's solid.
That's solid.
It's hard to get a thousand yards.
Everybody look at a tight end and be like, Oh, if he's not a thousand yards.
No, this is not a wide receiver. That's not his only ability. Like he got it.
He got to be a speed bump for about 10, 12 plays out the game to a tight end,
to a, to a, you know, edge Russia or defense.
Then it's putting hands on him. He is, he gets the cuffs put on him. He got,
he got to look up at the stand and say, I'm going to get them back next time.
Mama. Not new. He got to look up at the stands and say, I'm gonna get him back next time mama.
Not new. He ain't getting them. All of them. All of them. All of them. All of them. All of them.
All right. So, Farrell Waller, unretired. Yeah. He's a 32 year old tight end for a conditional seventh round, 2027 seventh round pick.
And also a 2026 six round pick.
Waller comes out of retirement on a one year deal up to $5 million to fill the void. That was by the departure of John Luke Smith.
So very minimal.
And in my opinion, compensation that the Dolphins had to give away.
Very minimal it for the Giants is is just giving them free picks
because during while it was retired anyway, so when on both
sides and I think the big winner.
I really do.
I think the big winners Miami Dolphins.
I thought you're gonna say Steelers because they they they came
up with a with a bus this offseason.
They picking up everybody anybody fool who around, they like them.
They done picked them up.
Oh, we want D, oh, we done shipped off Youngin?
All right, let's go get DK Metcalf.
Oh, we got a bet safety, you know what?
We'll take this bet corner right here.
If we about to do something, give us Darrius Lay.
I don't know who they ain't picked up at this point.
Oh, quarterback, huh?
Oh, no, we like you.
We want you.
Let's make this happen.
Yeah, very, very untraditional Steelers off season,
for sure.
Yes and no.
You know the Steelers by tradition love their veterans.
Facts.
They love a good veteran leadership core
and that's what that, like,
they're not going for the untested. George Pickens was just about to be a
veteran. It was like, you know what? We'll take this, this ultra vet, DK Metcalf.
We know we can get 1200 yards out of him.
That's a fact. That's a fact. I get it.
Yeah. You, you get, yeah, you can save the dolphins, but a lot like,
like, like them.
It's my reason. Okay. And this is a bit of insight.
You know what I mean?
Dolphins for the last three years.
So we know that the talent of Darren Waller is in question.
We know and do as a, at that tight end position, he's, he's a huge target for
Tua physical he's explosive after he catches the ball. So he got home run ability paired with married with Tariq Hill.
Jalen wattle Devon a Chan like the weapons outside of him.
So his one-on-one opportunities just skyrocketed.
But the reason a Devon a Chan explain who that is real quick.
Don't do that, bro.
Don't know that's a receiver. I't do that, bro. Don't.
No, no, that's a receiver.
I'm saying like, what's his,
how many years in the league?
I don't know him.
So I'm asking.
It's not a don't do that.
I just haven't met him yet.
I don't play, we haven't played the same
since I've been gone.
And y'all look at it too.
Right, that was when I sacked Jacobi Percent and two
in the same game.
I was on your team, brother.
We was teammates. It was COVID your team, brother. We was team.
It was, it was, it was COVID.
We was missing half a team.
That's a fact.
That's a fact.
But I wasn't blocking for them at that time.
So even if you was, I'd never go against you.
Anyways, I'm not going on the right side.
I'll be right there on the left.
Unless you start mauling our defensive end and then I got
to go start playing, you know, oh, okay.
So it's a problem.
Let me, let me go over it up.
It's all right. Devon HN you don't know him because you played him yet.
He's the running back.
He is the Marshall Falk, the A. Alvin Kamara.
He's Christian McCaffrey style running back.
He's had over, he broke the NFL record
for your archbishop, Kerry, as a running back.
He's about 43, huh? I'm looking at this picture. Okay, continue. the NFL record for your
as a he's about 43. huh? I'm
looking at this picture. Okay.
That's that's that's a grown
man. Okay. That's he's lived a
couple of lives. Continue. Oh
bro. Um well, he got yeah.
Okay. You look you look from
the picture that I'm looking
at. There Just a quick little snippet.
You know what I'm saying?
Like if you say.
Yeah, grown man for sure.
Grown man.
Then it said 23.
I think it meant 35.
The boy in his second year,
he just spent his second year in the league.
His son like nine years old.
So he is a grown man.
He done live, I told you he done live a whole life.
Okay.
Son ain't that old, probably like five.
But.
You know, things happen.
Look, I done had teammates that definitely hit the league
and had grown me by the time they left.
My dog, Tyson Alulu, his son Ray,
I think as he was leaving was at Temple or something.
You remember Jerry McCoy,
Jerry McCoy had a jet going going Oklahoma right on his way out.
That is crazy.
That's dope as hell.
If I could run it back without the repercussions of my mama,
probably them slapping the hell out of me.
I would have loved to have been like, you know, in the lead with a little
man like Tank now.
Like think about him.
If Tank was like 10.
I don't know how to do this if I was like I was like
eighteen nineteen when I had him he'd be like seventeen
right now. You know how fly that would be. He'd be like
that's my dog. That's not my son. That's my dog. So, I get
you. I get you. My twin is here. So, I I'm going to go.
Yeah. Pray for me. Please. Yeah but they they're track
babies real. I know what you was doing. What out there? Breathe. Just come on now.
Breathe. Yeah. They're in the they specialize in the one two. I
don't see. Look, I don't see any baby girl's legs. I don't see
the way she took off. That's a four and a eight. We don't we
on that court, man. We hoping we hoping more than anything. We
on that. We on that court. WN We hoopin'. We hoopin' more than anything. We on that court.
WNBA and all that.
Yeah.
We see the vision.
We right there with him.
Dang, I assumed.
Let me get back to my.
I'm over here deviating.
That's on me.
I'm sorry, go ahead.
I won't deviate no more.
So Devon A-10, fast as fuck in the league,
dual threat, he's fired.
So you pairing Darren Waller, you putting him into that situation, huge target that Tua has not had.
But the key behind this acquisition is the reason that Darren Waller retired from the NFL because he fell out of
love with the game. And Darren is a, he's a player that is extremely passionate. He's
been through a lot and football wasn't fun for him because of his environment. Like who
was the, the, and not his teammates or anything like that. He just didn't find a love in the game.
He didn't have the support system that he felt he needed to continue
playing or playing at the level that he's accustomed to playing.
Yeah.
The difference here during wallers best years, it's like a four year stretch
where he was a top three tight end in the league.
His tight ends coach was Frank Smith.
Frank Smith is the office of coordinator for the Miami golf.
25 years, 25 players before training camp kickstarts, a new NFL season.
NFL daily is going to look back.
It is a special six episode series where myself, Greg Rosenthal and some of the
top NFL minds like Kevin
Harlan, Mina Kimes and Bill Barnwell make the case for each player. We're taking a look back,
giving you NFL Daly's top 25 players of the last 25 years. So who made the list? You know, Tom Brady's
on it. Where's Patrick Mahomes? Mahomes is under the end zone. Touchdown, Kansas City.
He's on it.
How about Lamar Jackson?
Jackson takes it himself.
Look at him dart back and forth.
Oh, he broke his ankles and he's got a touchdown.
He is Houdini.
You are going to have to listen to find out,
listen to NFL Daily's top 25 players of the last 25 years
starting on June 30th on the iHeart
radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Darren Wallers has been matched again with the one person who knows him best in the world
of football. That knows what motivates him, what drives him, his focal points.
I think that cannot be minimized.
That if you can add the Darren Waller
who's in love with the game, the all pro talent
to this Miami Dolphins offense,
ultimately, and it's to be seen,
the Dolphins win the trade.
Okay. Yeah, way to fight back for your Dolphins again.
I love it.
If you like it, I love it.
Because guess what they are?
If they are black and gold and they are in AFC, I don't really care.
Although maybe I do.
I don't know what the new playoff rules is different.
So maybe I do care.
Now I don't.
I don't know.
I haven't even paid attention yet.
I got to, I got to AFC, NFC.
You don't got it. Yeah. I'm still, I got to AFC, NFC. You, you don't got it.
Yeah. Yeah.
But I'm still trying to say that we got new playoff rules.
I I'm sure I'll get around to it.
Now.
Now you don't want to just win division.
You want to like win everything or something like that.
We're going to have a plan before the plan, like the NBA.
So like it's cool.
Let's go.
This is going to wreck people's bodies.
We're going to be 20.
We're going to be 23 games deep
in the next five years. Right. A regular season, John's not even.
Oh, they don't care about our bodies and that's fine.
Oh, that's a fact.
Twenty three games. Yeah.
I mean, the players do it to themselves.
They put it to the bros. They took the money.
They take the money every time. Owners know every time a CBA pop up,
it's going to be it's going to be 80% of us like not here.
No, hey, I know we ain't standing for this.
And as soon as it's really come through, it's going to be 35% of quarterbacks.
They're like, so anyways, we're going to take this.
Yeah, can we get? Yeah, we will take this every time.
It's going to be it's going to be some marquee guys like, hell no, we
not doing that. And on the on
the table, they'll be like, yeah,
so we'll take that deal.
They know what they know what
they'd be doing with that CBA
that that 10 year contract that
most of us don't rock with, but
they just give you a little bit
let you let them smoke a little
more weed. You know, let's raise
that marijuana level.
Oh, can't get him can't get him okay. him more percentage points, but you know what we can do? Raise up this
cap. How you like that? You, you like that? A little bit of a, okay. You ain't getting,
you ain't getting a bigger piece of the pie. You just get, you get more toppings.
That's a fact. Oh, and we fall for it every every time and I'm just sitting there.
Sitting there like, yeah, we dummies.
I love that for us.
And at the same time, we can't even complain because the baby
violins the moment you enter the league, even if you're a practice
well player, you are the top 3 percentile of the country.
You make it down your quarter.
Mill.
I look no complaints at all, man.
No complaints.
We live a beautiful life. We play a beautiful game. No complaints.
I feel complaining. Yeah. Complaints. Yeah. I got my issues with y'all. Yeah. Absolutely. I got my issues. It's all good. Thankful though. Grateful. Appreciate it.
Hey. Hey. Thankful. I love you. For real. I like I like my next generation to do to do better and I like to fight for that. That's all I'm saying. I see I want better for the ones coming up next. You know what I mean? That's all. Just think about this. What you remember what your rookie pay was 365.
I had a thousand dollars for every day of the year. And I said, look at God.
No, after taxes, you got to,
taxes that four or five to 15.
Yeah.
Oh yeah.
Percent taxes.
So that, that four405 was 215.
You don't see, you don't see nothing more than that.
I had to grab me a Chrysler 300.
So that's 35 grand out the door.
Give me an apartment. You know what I mean?
That's another 30 grand for the year.
So yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah.
And yet you still have stuff left over.
That's what I'm saying. But now what is rookie minimum now?
Is Darn near a show at a nine?
It's like, yeah, it's beautiful.
And that's why we suck
because we fall for whatever time in the CBA.
That's what young boys do.
They're making too much money.
Can't tell them young boys nothing.
Can't tell them shit.
I am different.
Hey, my daddy first paycheck was 35,000. Ooh, Steve got that 35,000.
1982, that boy got drafted to the Minnesota Vikings, got that 30, it was like 30, 35, 35 something.
I said, Lord.
Preacher to close that 35 rag. There, you know what I'm saying?
He was like, I'm about to go buy a Porsche.
Saw a Porsche was like 32.
Was like nevermind.
Nevermind.
I'll holler later.
But shit, we look.
That's what I'm saying.
We got small violins compared to when it began.
Could you imagine playing this game
and still having to go get a job in the off season?
Ain't no way.
You know my story at Pine Bluff, bro.
You know it was going through it,
being a droner during the summers
and try to get the camp practice.
Hey.
Getting off the clock.
So yeah.
Hey, I was out there being a bouncer in the off season
and during the off season I was a peer advisor.
I'm putting a tie on.
Hey kids, come on, let me show you where the classes are.
Hey, you need to get in the club.
Look, I got to wind you down, player.
Turn around.
Throwing on my Darren Waller voice
because you know my shit too high for it to be a bouncer.
You probably want to secure nothing anyway.
Letting anybody in.
I secure it.
That tall T's on, you ain't putting nobody down.
Oh man, Black, You let everybody in.
I will.
You know black for his energy.
I need a good night.
You know, say look at that's on me, but I'll never do it.
I'm never doing man.
I was always I was always a middle dance floor.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm securing secure anyway, but now they got the NIL,
they out there hitting licks.
I'll be over there getting excited for them.
I'll be like.
My young.
My young, seven schools in seven years.
They got no loyalty now.
Hey.
Shoot.
I'm in the league with a whole resume.
Resume, living resume.
Them boys, hey, my quarterback, we just drafted Tyler Shuck. Been about 17 schools.
You know, he coming in at 25 years old, whole lot of confidence. His name sound old.
Yeah, and he airs on a boy, you know what I'm saying? He's a girl man for
a monster. Shut down. Yeah. He
he's easy. Hey, look, he already
25. I think he are I think our
oldest quarterback on the
roster. It's it's like him.
Then I think Jake, Hader, and
then Special Rattler and that's
year one, two, three. Make make that make sense man we got young boys yeah we got
young boys excited let's talk a little offense man we just we just touched uh about the dolphin's
offense that acquisition let's talk a little often 25 years 25 players before training camp kick
starts a new nfl season n NFL Daily is going to look back.
It is a special six episode series where myself,
Greg Rosenthal and some of the top NFL minds
like Kevin Harlan, Mina Kimes and Bill Barnwell
make the case for each player.
We're taking a look back giving you NFL Daily's
top 25 players of the last 25 years.
So who made the list?
You know Tom Brady's on it.
Where's Patrick
Mahomes? Mahomes is under the end zone! Touchdown Kansas City! He's on it. How about Lamar Jackson? Jackson takes it himself. Look at him dart back and forth. Oh, he broke his ankles and he's got a touchdown. He is Houdini. You are going to have to listen to find out, listen to NFL Daily's top 25 players of the
last 25 years, starting on June 30th on the iHeart radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever
you get your podcasts.
NFL.com top 10 offense in 2025.
If the Saints ain't in there, I don't want to talk about it.
Oh, that means we ain't in there.
That look alone, let me know we wasn't in there.
That's cold blooded.
That's crazy. If the saints ain't in there, I don't want to talk about it. Oh, that means we ain't in there.
That look alone let me know we wasn't in there.
That's cold-blooded. That's crazy.
It ain't no point of doing that.
That's crazy.
I do. I'm a saint forever.
Who that? They not on this list.
They not on the top.
That's crazy.
All right, give me, give me, go top 10.
Go top 10.
Give me, give me 10 first.
We'll work our way up to one.
Cause I'm not here for this madness.
Madness.
For the Saints offense.
You wait till, you wait till Caesar get on here.
We, we, we, we gonna come back to this topic.
I'm saying I'm pulling for the Saints every time
they line up, I am.
But we gonna be honest too.
Not-
Yeah, absolutely.
Especially preseason, I can't give them offense top 20.
Preseason, who care about preseason?
I mean for live bullets.
We know what AK gonna do.
AK gonna do.
And we know what Chris Alavi and Rishi gonna do.
If they stay healthy, you know?
That's like if two stay awake. I gonna do that, Oline gonna ball. If they stay healthy, you know?
That's like if two stay awake.
I'm gonna do that, I'm gonna ball.
Love that line, love the same stuff.
That was with line, real.
Anyways, continue, go to number 10 workout.
I'm always gonna root for my black and gold.
I know what we on.
Number 10, Ken C. E. Cheek.
Wait, excuse me, what?
Number 10.
NFL.com, NFL.com, top 10 offenses.
They just released this today.
The guys have been to a football league
like four out of the last six years, seven years?
I'm with you, I'm with you.
That's crazy.
Anything outside top five is disrespectful
on the points alone that they had Pat Malmes
and Travis Kelsey. I agree, I agree 1000%. Okay, that's that's
weird. Yeah. Number nine. Who Cincinnati Bengals Chamar
Chase Joe Burrow. I mean that's still a little while that I
don't even know who oh and they got T Higgins. No, they're
number nine. They're number Philadelphia Eagles. Jordan Love just married black. I think he just married got married. Good for him.
Yeah.
Okay.
You said what number six is Philadelphia Eagles.
The number seven.
Seven is the Eagles.
They just want to dance football.
Who made this?
Just like I'm in a field.
I don't know what writers.
Yeah, we the writers.
Hey, the writers, unlike the players, is always going to be forgotten.
Left out.
Yeah.
They're going to talk crazy.
They're going to talk crazy like they know something.
They're going to talk crazy.
They're going to talk crazy.
They're going to talk crazy.
They're going to talk crazy.
They're going to talk crazy. They're going to talk crazy. They're going to always going to be forgotten left out. Yeah, they're going to talk crazy.
They're going to talk crazy like they know something.
And we're going to be like, Oh, was he right?
It was probably not because what does he know?
The
he just was at a Super Bowl, bro.
Like I'm with you, bro.
Chief said, did you not just see the Jordan commercial?
The love hurts. The man just blew out the Kansas City Chiefs.
Brand name was defense included,
but the offense was still potent.
Jalen Hurts liked the AJ.
Yeah, Saquon, we ain't even have-
Saquon 2K, Devontae Smith.
I'm with you, yeah.
They're tight, they're tight.
Okay, continue, That's seven.
That's seven. All right. I think
this will shock you that they're this high up. Number six, never Broncos. No, no, I'm not. I'm not that shot.
No, no, Sean Payton.
Are you seeing Sean Payton take teams with no receiver?
Just a quarterback?
No tight end.
Figuring out a serviceable serviceable everything's in.
Can we come out with a top three offense?
I'm not listen.
I agree with all the everything Sean Payton is is no type of hesitation
or or a knock at Sean Payton is no type of hesitation
or a knock at Sean Payton. He has a top three offense more than anybody
in NFL history.
But Bo Nigs going into just his second year,
that's the only reason I feel like six above the Eagles,
above the Bengals, above the Chiefs,
that's why I feel like, I'll probably put it in top 10, but six in front of Eagles, Bengals, above the Chiefs. That's why I feel like, I'll probably put them top 10,
but six in front of Eagles, Bengals and Chiefs.
I don't really see that.
Yeah, I mean, I'm already mad at the skew of 10 and seven
already, so like, you know, I already know this list
is gonna be a little, I'd reverse that,
but yeah, they definitely could be in conversation
of top 10, but at this point,
I don't trust this list anyways continue. Can't wait till we get to number two, but number five Detroit
line uh-huh fire man I mean yeah offense fire if you say yeah you told me that was top five I
agree every time I think it might be a little low for top five, but yeah.
Well, I got you.
Number four, Washington commanders.
We just, you just said Bo Nicks was a little high with him be a rookie and you got Jay Denzer one now granted he, they was, it was knocking at the
super dog like Super Bowl, like they was knocking.
Yeah.
Oh, now it's different.
No, that, that, I mean,
Bo Nicks was very impressive in his rookie campaign.
Love Bo Nicks.
Jaden Daniels was different.
That his campaign was different.
His situation is different.
They just added Debo Samuels.
Yep.
That's the added component too,
which I see how they got to four.
Four is a little high, but I'm not mad at it.
Yeah.
You got scary Terry over there, Terry McLaur'm not mad at it. Yeah. You got, you got, you got scary Terry over there.
Terry McLaurin.
Sure.
Dog. Yeah.
Who's it running back?
Oh, four is a little high for me.
And when I say high, it's about four spots too high.
If you-
Heckler, also in Heckler over there.
Four is a little high,
about four to five spots too high for me.
Tonsil, left tackle, outstanding left tackle.
Four is a little high for me.
But you flip them down to seven, eight,
and we can talk about it.
But continue.
That's the part.
Number three, Baltimore Ravens, the Marvelous.
Huh, not gonna lie, I expected it to be higher.
If you wanna know the truth,
this is like two time MVP,
should have been a third time MVP,
which lets me know the build is coming up and that's fine too.
All right.
Yeah, we're here for it.
You think he was top three scary, scariest quarterback that you're going to face as an
edge player because he can beat you in the air.
You want to make him a pocket pass.
But at the same time he'll roll out out on you and then it's gone.
They, I've seen some fast quarterbacks.
They ain't never been in Lamar Jackson.
Yeah, no, that's a fact.
That's a fact.
I'm with you on this.
I thought the Ravens would be number one.
I thought the Ravens,
I feel like the Ravens have the best offense in the league.
The way our country is built, they, I thought they for sure
throwing this blue and red team up there.
But continue.
This is when I say, I want to see your reaction to y'all pay attention now.
To New Orleans Saints.
We're two Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Look at them.
Good for them.
Who would have thought, Who would have thought?
There's a lot of moxie on that team.
Mike Evans might be the
most underrated
tier one wide receiver of all
times. Eleven, one thousand yard
seasons. I don't think anybody but Jerry
Rice has put that up. And if that's
if Jerry Rice has done it.
So insert him into your top five
receivers of all time situation. I mean he got over 13,000 yards or something crazy 11 seasons in so
like respect him. Yeah absolutely and yet we don't talk about him enough until he won a Super Bowl.
He was still 8,000 or 9,000 yards deep And he did it with the likes of 35 random quarterbacks
over the last eight years of his career
before Tom Brady, before Baker Mayfield reinvented himself.
And Baker Mayfield loved his mocks,
he loved his competitive nature.
I mean, as a quarterback, you love somebody
who wants to be a leader, who can corral guys to their side.
It's rare to see it.
I'm okay with that. Now they're running back, there's Bucky. who can corral guys to their to their side. It's rare to see it.
I'm OK with that. Now, they're running back.
There's a there's Bucky Bucky Irving.
He's solid. Big guy. Solid running back.
Oh, well, they got what else?
Is this growth?
What do you mean?
No, I've always respected Tampa Bay.
They're fun to beat up on.
Oh, no, no.
They're like they're like the little brothers, like, you know,
like when your little brother get his first diamond chain and he like,
I checked me out because I checked me out.
Like that's for the air right now. That's the air.
They got a four year stretch of like, hey, look at me.
Hey, hey, hey, hey, you see me.
You see me. And I'm like, are you doing something?
No, no. Yeah, this is different.
I didn't expect this reaction from you.
And to the lion. I've already told you that I don't expect this reaction from you and to. To the lion.
I've already told you that I don't agree with this list in general.
So now it's just I didn't expect you to start showing love to some bucks.
I did.
I'm this is growth.
It's more it's more long lines of respect.
And again, I don't I'm already not respecting this list because
if you have this to the two teams that went to a Super Bowl
this last year at seven and ten respectively, I just assume you don't know ball.
So, so now you know, it's more about the list than than whatever. But if they want to be on the list, I didn't I would put them at top 10. Sure. I don't know if I'd have a top five over Lamar Jackson, Pat Mahone, Jaylen Hertz.
Jackson, not Pat Mahone, Jalen Hertz. And I'm talking about quarterbacks alone. And then of course, you're going to add in
MVP Josh Allen this year. And then you're going to, no, you
like you line them against Washington and Detroit and I
don't, yeah, I put them in top 10, but you'd have to, you'd
have to make a hard argument for them to be on the back half of
the top five rather than the front end. But not here, argument
semantics, because I already, again, I don't trust this ranking right now.
Anyways, who did this?
We need to know how much football does he actually watch top 10
offenses in 20, this could be an intern's first, first article.
It could be a super event.
That's been the game for 40 years and he just forgot to turn on tape this year.
He was
Hey, he went he went mango on it. That boy that boy was really he was him a man sleep.
He just
thought I'll man go man.
Shout out to my dog.
Kevin mango Steve who just retired just retired this year.
I don't I don't outlasted Kevin mango who been the part of the Saints and the
trainer room staff for the last 40 some odd years. I did it. We
did it, Joe.
All right, I'm sorry. That was so Tampa Bay is number six. But
you said number two. Hey, I said what I said.
Six too high to me. But you can already assume who the number one offense going into 2025. I'm not going to say six too
is a little brother. Yeah.
James Cook.
Yeah.
Ola and Cook.
Are they?
Ola and Fier.
You know Officer Lyman.
Officer Lyman, you love him because you're one of them.
But now you're on the skinnier side.
Your vision has gotten clearer.
Your cheeks were too heavy at the time
to see what Officer Lyman were.
And now you got this Mike Jones head.
You can see Officer Lyman are just figments of reality.
Like they're there, but they're not actually like,
it's not impactful, you know?
Like, they can, like an Officer Lyman can hurt an offense,
but that, one say you like, oh shit,
this is because of their offense.
You'd be like, ooh, that quarterback though,
that running back though, they got options.
If I ain't know you for real, I would get a fix.
But I know you for real.
And I know you got office alignment
that you really do respect what we do.
Absolutely.
Act that we have on the game.
One out of every 25.
Might be a clip.
But the one out of 25, I got nothing but love for him.
I'm like, dad, he a dog like that.
But one out, it's a one out of 30 hit.
You don't believe it bro.
We ain't gotta get into it.
Yeah, absolutely.
Cause you're, I mean, there's guys that you consider top guys
but they, if they didn't have the quarterback that they had
they get exposed real quick.
Now continue.
We don't have to get into it.
I know you rock with a lot of
offensive linemen.
You respect their game.
You respect their craft and what
they do how they go about their
business.
Wait no I respect they gave my
own respect they craft.
Your job is to get in the way
for as long as you can.
Your job is not to technically
dominate.
Your job is to say oh my God get
the ball.
Don't make me mad.
That's what I'm trying to do.
I've reached for the clasp of the chain.
I ain't gonna snatch it, but.
My bad, that fell off.
The job is to lock shit up, create lanes, dominate,
all that.
You didn't even believe that.
You didn't even believe that.
You were one of the four linemen in my career that I saw actually mean that because everybody
everybody like I got it and then they fat-ass get to crossing crossing their
toes hey when the pinky toes touch the feet cry and the feet cross pink so touch
and the hand goes on the back of the back lap it's old I'm done I'm done I'm
done yeah because you faster than 85%
of the defensive men you went against.
But, back in the day,
I was part of rookie office alignment,
but I'm not even gonna do that today, young man,
because you worked up right now, I see it.
You worked up right now and you gonna talk bad about him
regardless of what he got going on, and we not. I will not talk lie. I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna lie.
I'm not gonna lie.
I'm not gonna lie.
I'm not gonna lie.
I'm not gonna lie.
I'm not gonna lie.
I'm not gonna lie.
I'm not gonna lie.
I'm not gonna lie.
I'm not gonna lie.
I'm not gonna lie.
I'm not gonna lie.
I'm not gonna you scared? And that's why they'll never know your name. I assume
that little kid was offensive lineman. Sort of scared. They always got bad
jitters. You've seen it. Don't say they don't. A lot of offensive linemen be
biting their nails because they always scared. They're nervous to give up
something. They don't want to let their other teammates down. They got, hey bro,
like I said a lot. I didn't say you, but just know I know a lot of a lot of
offensive linemen that you know. And boys be nervous scared they make up personas
like they like that they not like that they're not themselves they're like
fat kids without these knickers they really just hangry little slander all
right I'm not sorry because I meant every word of it, but you know, let's listen to the NBA.
But you're not even you're not even chatting them or I see you already, bro.
You got a whole like rib cage and whatnot.
Like you scared.
You scared for right now.
You to for you to you to 45 right now.
You to 50 to 70. You don't right now. You too 50. You 70.
You don't drop 40.
45. I was the same.
I was like 302 with Miami 303.
So yeah.
You like, you lighten up.
Yeah.
Okay.
As you get older, you gotta get,
you gotta get lighter, man.
It'd be harder to do what you need to do.
And in my case with all that,
the extensive injury history, as you
will know, but you, the one that don't work out, don't warm up, don't stretch.
Don't 99 years and never miss a game.
Hey, these hands is meant to hurt people, bro.
Like I can't screw in a light bulb in the health.
You don't say like, I'm scared.
I might break something.
As that junk is crazy.
Your career cap crazy, bro.
Hey, think about it.
I grew up, but I grew up with a dad that made me wear me braces
at defensive end in high school.
And I had to twist it.
Look, I said, what?
So I said, the moment I get out of this, I'm never getting taped up again.
I was at a college that made me take.
I say, yo, I put that loose tape on there.
Nah, tape makes you weak.
All these braces, I don't need all that.
I be sounding like Joe Rogan up there
just throwing out random facts.
You really stood by that.
Like for 15 years, you have stood by that.
Tape makes you weak.
Tape makes you weak.
Your joints start to depend on it.
It's like when you cut up,
like me and wifey cut up for like two weeks, I get dependent on it.
You, you go to the hotel and that bed get empty. You, baby, you sleeping with a
pillow. Nah, you keep, you keep on taping. That moment you take that tape off,
your ankle get that look like a big girl at the, at the end of the night in the
section. The meals are not, they coming off
or the man is gonna touch the earth.
I'll be calling Nikki at one in the morning
cause you can't sleep.
I said you sleep with the pillow.
Hey, if I can't call my wife, who can I call?
That's a fact.
Oh, she gonna pick up for you too every time.
Man, she probably answer first ring.
You need to come home?
I do, I didn't need to come home.
Oh my good.
Yeah, let's go to the NBA.
Come on.
Because you ruined football for the night.
Who?
Come on man, she's gonna come back,
we gonna bring her back.
Hey, for the rest of the night, I'll do better. I think all offensive linemen are really, really good people.
That work?
