And that because it's a different breed now, smooth. You know what I mean? They all spamming the same little move.

Like, Jeremy, I'm going to keep it real. Like, think about when we were really coming up. I'm saying before we got to the pros, bro, we ain't had no trainers, bro. Like, everybody got a training now. Think about it. Jeremy, what you was doing? How was you getting better? Pick up and watching.

Trying to see. And watching. And it gets older. Playing against all the players. Look, you're playing with your brother friends and stuff like that. I know, everybody know about hoops in Chicago. I was 16 at hoops. Oh, yeah, facts.

You know what I said? Two lights and turn left and then after them, after the thing, you had to remember all that stuff. I get in the gym and it's all pros. Michael Jordan and all these pros and out of nowhere. Fargo. Huh? Hold on, hold on. So when you was a kid, you said you went to the gym and MJ was in there?

16. Michael Jordan used. first time I seen Mike, Michael had his hoodie tucked. I said, that's the coolest nigga in the world. Yeah, he had a crew neck tucked in. I said, yeah, I got to tuck my crick. I got to tuck in. Hey, hey.

You know, I got to do it. Hey, we always talk about the aura. You know, when you see him, bro, it's kind of like, I always say it seemed like he levitate. Hey, it's a little scary, Joe. First time, it's a little scary. But look, check this out, smooth. you know, I was a brand joint athlete for man, like, for like a decade.

So, you know, early in those years, you know, we should take trips, you know, do vacations, meetups, you know what I mean? It should be all that, bro. It was so many commercials out back then. And I was always in all. You know what I mean? But I always kept it together. You know what I mean?

Like, I always kept my account of took. You know what I mean? I ain't really fan boy like that. But I'm like, damn. You know what I'm saying? Sitting back and having conversations with him, bro. And those are times that, you know, I never forget, bro, you know, because I grew up watching this man, idolizing this man,

and then getting a chance to be a brand joint athlete, bro. That was super, super dope. So, Jim, I couldn't imagine being from Chicago and Chicago at 16. Joe, imagine going to the man, Howler playing pickup. Oh, you was going over there hooping? Listen, his hit my AAU coaches, Antoine Walker's my AU coach. You know, they were tight. Yeah.

Oh, yeah, thanks. We, they call me, yo, we're going here to play. I got a car. I drive all the way out there. I get to the gate, the big ass 23 on the gate. I'm excited. I'm locked in already. But they're like, yo, he's not going to play, but we plan at his house.

Like, get in, park, getting the gym. I'm at the far end of the gym. And I turn around and that black walk in. And I say, oh, shit. And he can get out there and play. He played. I get it. I kid you not.

I get a backdoor lob. He's guarding me on the way. I get a back door lob. I miss it. Kids are not. He made fun of me. He literally told me. You wouldn't miss that if you had on Jordan.

Oh, yeah. That's him. That's him. That's him. You can't come around him with nothing else on, man. Nothing else is going to talk about you. Boy, he's going to talk about you. He's going to talk about you, bro.

But I'm telling y'all, man, he was a pleasure to be around, super motivating, you know, teaching us the business of basketball. And man, we, hey, you know, we had bill on, uh, bill was on yesterday, bro. We used to do these meetups move. And like, they would show us stuff that's about to come out and they have all these different shoes, German, you know, all these different Jordans. And like, they'll let you take a pair of two with you. You know what I mean?

Man, baby taking 20 pairs shoes. You know what I'm saying? Right. A bill was OD with it. But rightfully so, because, you know, him and Ray Allen pretty much kind of started to jump brand. Yeah. I'll be able to spoil with it boy.

Hey, give me, give me one of y'all hardest workouts in the summer, man, preparing for the, when you was in the NBA. Give me one of your hardest workouts. Man, I don't know if it was the hardest I gave you one of my most discouraging workouts.

And it was, it was a weak moment for me because, you know, my brother, my brother's a shooter. He shoots the ball. So we got to go around, make eight out of 10, then nine out of 10 coming back.

He missed the first time. I went. I didn't make it. at the first spot, that boy didn't miss again. And I was mad the entire workout. I was mad. I'm not like, yo, I'm not doing this. Oh, yeah.

Hey, hey, if that boy can't do nothing now, boy, he can shoot the leather off that thing. You hear me? What thing you do? Yeah. Yeah. You hear me? Yeah.

Smooth, smooth. You got, you got, what's one of your toughest workouts, bro? Them sand dudes. Yeah, I used to go to the Rainy Canyon. So, like, I- Really? L.A.? Oh, yeah, yeah.

When I used to live, by there in LA, I do the Runyon Canyon. I do it twice around. But before that, I get up, I go to this guy named Gunner. You ever met Gunner? Uh-uh, ain't a little bit. Gunner used to work out all the, you know, I met him through, who was it, through Danny Ferry?

Yeah, he went to Duke. So when I went out there to meet Danny Ferry, he introduced me to Gunner. Gunner worked out a lot of players, like Tom Brady, all kind of other players, entertainers. So I get up in the morning, I work out with him, then I go to the, to the Runyon Canyon for about, like, I do it twice. And I might go hoop. Then if I don't hoop, I'll do another workout.

Then I go, I'll go work out at like 8 o'clock. So I had like three workouts through, like, every day during the summertime. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Man, man. You know, you want to hang out at that. You know, you want to hang out at nighttime, too.

So you know what's that? Oh, yeah. Get up and do it all over again. Yeah, all right. Hey, all right. Hey, you're burning both ends of the candle, potty. Hey, come on, man. Yeah, I already know, bro.

Oh, man. Because look, look, look. Trying to max it out. You know, we ain't got too much time. We just try to, man, max it out. That's it, bro. I remember Germany used to be with me. We used to be down there in Miami and Legacy Fit

with my boy Manning out there. Training like a mud, uh, uh, uh, uh, smooth. That gym with it, it's kind of small, got that little turf on it. Oh, that boy, he didn't about the whole, he didn't about the whole damn block now, smooth. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. That gym used to be lit, boy. I threw up in that gym.

I ain't okay. Hey, hey, and that's the plan. Yeah, yeah, he was trying to do it to you. He won them trainers. Yeah, you walk in there. Are you a professional athlete? You're supposed to be like some. Are you come train with me?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Boy, you're gonna be calling Earl in like 15 minutes. I worked out with Rhondo when I went down there with Rondo. I'm like, oh, home's trippy. Oh, yeah, he ain't, he ain't playing. He ain't playing. He was something different. Y'all give me a second.

Give me a second. Give me a second. Hey, they and we in that gym right after that. Basketball later that day and we're working out again after that. Yeah. I'm young at the time. All I'm going to be around is and learn as much as I can. It was a good time for sure.
