The AKAs battle out the Sigma Gamma Road ladies.
The men's division, Alpha, A5A, battling out Kappa Alpha.
Yeah, yeah.
Hey, so, bring your, hey, bring your best step forward.
Hey, to the victor goes to spoil.
Go ahead, guys, what you are?
You know, I used to step back in the day, Uncle Joe.
What kind of stuff you were doing?
Oh, you know.
Oh, big step with myself.
You know, Joe.
I was a step for Joe.
Hey, what you planned?
bro.
Huh?
Nothing.
What did you play?
He wasn't that long enough to play.
I was,
I was on the line, right?
I was on the line to play it,
but I got thrown out at Langston.
You dropped lying?
But they threw me out.
I got kicked out.
Yeah, hey, Joe, I was going to play it.
I was going to be a, you know,
I don't want to be disrespectful.
But, you know, I think what I'm a do,
though, Joe is, is when I enroll in FAMU,
because I need to get my degree,
just a header in my back pocket,
just in case.
So I'm a little on my resume.
What you go play? What you're going to play?
You're going to play? You're going to play K-Sy.
What you think, what you think is, is, is it?
I think, I can see Ocho being, I can see you being a cute.
A cue.
That's what you were just doing. That's the purple and gold,
the mega-s-sci-fi.
The cap is the one to have the cane.
Do the shoulder roll. You like to do the shoulder roll.
Yeah. That's what R.C. is a cap.
Them, them alphas versus them capos.
It's going to be a movie, boy.
Yeah.
Now, who the A.K.A. is battling against?
Sigma Gamarro, the ladies of a blue and gold.
Oh, yeah, they ain't gonna play no silly game.
Boy, I can't wait.
I can't wait.
So, okay, okay.
We go see what's really going on.
Cash prize to the winners.
Oh, we're the winners.
So the women's division, there'll be a cash prize.
The men's division, there'll be a cash prize.
Okay, okay.
Let's get it.
Let's get it.
Oh, I can't wait to see this.
It's been a while since I seen a step battle.
And I can't wait, guys.
So congratulations to the ladies that were selected, to the men that were selected.
Again, the ladies of Kappa Alpha, excuse me, AKA, they battle a Sigma Gamma Row,
Alpha Phi Alpha, Alpha, Battle K Alpha, K Alpha, the Kappa's versus the Alpha Alpha,
and AKA versus Sigma Gamma Row.
Should be fun.
It should be fun.
We'll be fun.
The game you never thought would be leading with, UMass defeated Rutgers, 37 to 21, ending
the 16-game losing streak, which had been the longest in FBS.
The minute man came in as almost a 30-point underdogs, 29.5-point underdogs.
Quarterback William Pop Watson threw for 189 yards, three touchdown in the UMass route.
Rutgers paid $1,550,000 to get their ass kick in their building in week one.
UMass won the game last year, last won the game, October 26, 2024 against Wagner.
That was the last time they won?
What a game?
Huh?
That was the last time they won a game?
That was the last time they won a game.
Oh, my God.
Almost two, almost two years.
What conference they in?
Um, Rutgers.
You mass.
You mass, hello, UMass.
I thought UMass was might have been FCS.
They might have moved up.
Hey, if they're, yeah, they F.
Rutgers, is Rutgers Big East?
They're in the mid-Atlantic.
Who?
UMass.
Are Rutgers there in the Big East?
Is there?
No, I thought Rutgers was in the big was, uh, no.
Is Rutgers in the Big Ten?
Hey, listen, hey, you can't underestimate, you know, these teams.
When I think about a team like UMass that comes out and upsets Rutgers like this,
it make me think of Indiana.
And the team that Indiana was able to assemble with all those players,
know from different backgrounds
from different cultures
because you need certain dogs on your team
they're thinking that UMass is the UMass of old
that hadn't won a game since 2024
not understanding they don't understand
and know what they got in that portal
that come over there and join them boys
you get you some dogs on your team
you get a result like this
hey that quarterback what's the name
pop pop what?
Yeah
Pop Watson bird
boy he would dishing boy
he would be in dealing Joe
yeah
And when you look at it, Ocho, in college football,
you don't get no damn tune-up games.
You know what I'm saying?
You just go running.
Yeah, you hit the ground running.
So you're very vulnerable to, you know,
lose to some of these teams that you probably didn't anticipate
on losing to.
Hmm.
And what you?
What that is?
I don't get anything on my burger.
Just ketchup.
But that, hey, all you should have went to McDonald's, man.
Hey, who that is?
Erroy?
George.
Man,
I guess I'm going to have to wait,
George,
eat it cold after the...
You can eat.
We got you?
Because I had...
I don't want to eat on camera because you know how...
You know how people are, man.
Don't even care about the thing.
He eat no camera.
No, I'm good.
I can eat...
This will make us special, though.
You know, people could relate to that.
You feel me?
Nope.
Everybody got to eat.
See, I ate Christopher cream donuts and then to the show.
Yesterday.
Yeah.
You be eating something else.
Can't nobody relate to that.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Time on.
I'm talking about on camera.
Yeah.
Oh, I wouldn't put that past.
I wouldn't put it past you.
Joe, he act like he says something like, okay.
I'm on camera.
I'll put that page.
I fell into that one.
I fell into that one.
My bad.
My bad.
You're right.
I think that's the biggest thing.
you got to hit the ground running
when you play college football.
College football, you have joint practice.
I mean, in pros, you have joint practices.
You have three preseason games.
You have tune-ups.
All you got is spring.
Is it?
Now, when I played high school football,
Ocho, did y'all have what they called?
Jammerie, yeah.
Hey, listen, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, we have Jammerie, so you play a half against one team
and then another half against another team.
And if you see all your homeboys,
all the schools there at the same time, Joe.
Jambery.
As a matter of fact, we had that good.
That was cool.
I like, I like that.
Yeah, Jambrey was fun.
I never forget.
We had Jambery at Midlander Stadium, man, Miami, Northwestern, Jackson, Central.
All you get to see all your home boys, man.
Hey, that was fun.
Yeah.
That was fun.
Well, when you got that many teams, y'all only probably playing a quarter.
Y'all probably basically getting the equipment of a half play in a quarter
because you got so many teams that's going to be, that's, that's out there.
We only had like, we bring like two other teams.
So we play a half against one and then a half against another team.
and then that's kind of how it was.
But those was the fun days back then.
But, you know, college football has always been built on the big upset.
We saw, what was that, App State a couple years ago, go into the big house.
Yeah.
So we've seen this.
So we're not, look, even though this is a ginormous upset,
you spend, you know, a million and a half dollars to have our team come in there.
And normally when you spend that kind of money, Joe, you look at the break the off of them.
Oh, you, that's basically a homecoming game to start.
season with. But the minute man had other
ideas. They're like, no, I know what y'all
I know what y'all brought to say here for. But they're going to go like that.
Oh, sure they thought, most definitely.
That's exactly right. They did.
You schedule games like that, Joe,
to get your rhythm. Be your team.
Get your confidence going, especially for
certain players. And they come out
and get whoop like that.
Not understanding? No, this ain't the same
UMass from last year or the year before.
It's a different ball game. And I'm telling you,
I don't know the number. I don't know the players.
know who they got, but it's a difference in players that they have on that team now this year.
I think the thing is that you see a lot of times, like in college, if you think you're better,
you're easy to look down on an opponent.
Yeah.
You don't get that so much because everybody's pro, everybody doesn't have the same level of player
in colleges.
And sometimes when you got this many four or five star recruits, you got a big transfer
and you play somebody that doesn't have as many four and five star or as many a big name transfer
portal guys, you're like, ah, we got this in bag.
You don't really make that mistake in the NFL because you realize all these guys are pros,
all these guys they meet, they practice, they got, hey, they got excellent coaches.
And so more times than not, you have your guard up because you know any given Sunday
you can get your ass beat.
But in college football, there seem to be more times that guys will let their guard down
because you're still dealing with 18, 19, 20-year-olds.
And so they're more out to let their guard down and running themselves into trouble.
for the simple fact they let their guard down
and the team comes in and upset them.
Yeah.
That's what we got here.
What's next on?
A Louisiana judge rules against the NCAA
clearing the path for ex-NFL players
to join an LSU roster.
East Baton Rouge Judge Parish,
Judge William Jordan,
issued a ruling late tonight
before LSU was due to submit
its 105-man roster to the SEC,
which last week announced heavy potential
punishment for football and basketball teams that bring ex-pros.
The ruling clears the way for LSU to list some of the former players on the roster.
How many games might be eligible play remains to be seen as a matter is to continue
to work in its way through the court.
Jordan said he considered sanctions against SEC and the NCAA, but rule he was not ready
to issue that at this time.
Jordan decisions followed nearly a nine-hour hearing in the courtroom near LSU's campus
in which athletes,
after athlete took the stand to explain why they should be allowed to return to play college sports after turning.
I would love to hear that.
I would love to hear their reasons on why they should be able to return to college after not being to make an NFL roster.
How would that improve?
You as a player, your dream as a child, your dream as a child, Uncle Joe, is to be able to make it to the highest level.
So if anything, how is going back to college helping you in any way?
To where I understood, Ocho, it was one guy.
he got injured.
Oh.
He had to, he had to, he had to, he had to, he had to, he had to turn pro because his eligibility
was up.
So understand him.
But the way they did it, you get five years.
So now he was able to come back.
He didn't, from what I'm understanding, Chad, you can correct me if I'm wrong.
So basically he can go back and get that fifth year of eligibility.
Okay.
Okay.
Because he got injured in college.
He thought he was going to have to turn pro because the eligibility was up.
I don't think he got drunk.
I don't think he...

Our show is extremely accessible to first-time listeners.
Each week, we talk to someone in show business, aka the biz,
and try to help them with their careers and see what they have to offer us.
Everyone has a good time, and no one gets mad at their publicists for letting them do our show.
We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman.
Not that great.
Actually, can you help me shape this?
How about we flip an arm's head?
How about we flip the script?
What is the surprise woman?
Actually, you think is the straight man is actually the one who's acting weird.
Adam Scott, this entire time you've been expecting Adam Sandler to come to visit the show.
I would never expect.
I would never set expectations for something like that to happen.
If the universe allows for something like that to happen, I'm open to it.
I'm always going to accept.
You know, Danny McBride, fine.
Yeah, it's all this fragile masculinity exuding.
I could smell it walking down the hallway, to be honest with you.
I was like, is that weed?
Nope, it's fragile masculinity.
Ben Stiller, no.
Because a lot of times out of context, people don't get it or even know what a circle is.
You know what I mean?
They're like, they're so stupid.
Everyone's so dumb.
And fake.
Right, fake.
And also not interesting.
or just like, oh, I've got my life.
I don't care about your life.
And a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are without us.
Oh, and by the way, Will Ferrell told us personally he loves the show and he wants to be a guest on every episode, but he's just so busy.

Our town is small taters by most standards, right?
But to the people who grew up here, it's everything.
What happens when a quiet Tennessee town
becomes the front line in a battle over the future of America.
Developers with right-wing ties have purchased hundreds of acres of land in the area.
The first thing you see when it pops up is pioneers in Appalachia.
But they weren't just planning houses.
We need cities on a shining hill that exemplify and embody the Christian way of life.
Stop right there. Is that normal?
A podcast about what happens when a small town becomes the site of a social experiment.
God need men to rule. Great.
and decides to fight back.
Do not use my hard work to sell your bull.
They're not just opposing what's being planned for here.

Ever suited up for the NFL team?
Amen.
But see, the thing is a lot of time,
that's what a lot of laws,
that you never expected.
And then you have to come back and clean it up.
But now these guys are going to be grandfathered in
because they were here before you passed the rule.
Yeah.
I mean, it's like if I live in an apartment complex
and I get a donkey, now you had,
you didn't have one of the lease,
I couldn't have me a baby donkey.
Yeah.
Now I go get the baby donkey and then you pass a loss,
and you pass a rule says nobody can have,
have a donkey moving forward. Well, that's too far.
I'm grandfathering in. I had my donkey before you set the rules.
Yeah. So this situation is going to be hard for me.
I don't really see a scenario because they didn't foresee this coming.
It's like a lot of rules. You didn't foresee coming.
And now we have to like, okay, look what we don't have happened now.
You would have never thought a scenario like this would happen in general.
Never, never in a million years. Because remember, Ocho,
Normally if you, Joe, y'all used to have it.
If you, if you put your name, submit your name to the draft,
you were stuck.
Yeah, you can come back.
You got to think.
Now they give you, what they give you now, Joe, 30 days, 60 days to submit your
draft name to the draft?
Yeah, they let you go through the little draft combine and all that.
Okay, Ocho, test the waters out.
You may even get to compete in some of the, you know,
five-on-fives that they do just to kind of see where you at.
And I actually kind of like it because you can, like a lot,
like some cash, you can increase your draft.
If you play well and obviously if you don't play as well as you would have liked, then you get an opportunity to get the chance to go back to school.
But what we, what we witness in here now is just, you know, but if I'm like you can't get drafted and go back.
No, no, no, no, you can't get drafting to go back.
But if from a player standpoint, okay, Ojo, I understand Lane because if the rules allow you and, you know, it allows you to take these at you, hey man, you, you, you, you have.
have to take advantage of the opportunities that come your way.
Now that you don't close it, hell, it's too late.
We're not ready.
You know what I mean?
So I think Lane Kiffin, I think he under so much pressure too,
Ocho, to get off to such a great start.
I mean, he's going to play against Clipson, bro.
Come on now.
I mean, understand.
They was heavy in the portal and NIL and all that, bro.
Come on, man.
Y'all see the money they gave Kiffin to come over that, man?
That man trying to do whatever he can.
Who's surprised?
I was going to say, Ocho, before you go.
Who's surprised that of anybody that would have done this that is Lane Kiffin,
based on his history, knowing who he is and how he operates,
I don't think anybody in college football or follows college football or watches college football
is surprised that Lane Kiffin is the one that did this.
Just based on his resume, just based on his history.
He's hell, he doesn't bid it down near school every school in the SEC.
Tennessee, Ole Miss, Alabama, now he's in LSU.
remember he was at USC.
But you know what we can't do?
We can't blame Lane.
We can't blame him.
No.
Now, we can't blame him playing the NCAA.
We can also blame the loophole that the players found and being able to make it to the NFL and say, you know what?
It didn't work for me.
I'm going to go back again.
And being that no one's ever thought of this, that there's been no scenario what this has happened before.
And the courts ruled that the players can do so.
Hey, I mean, it is what it is.
But what happens after you do go back and you play that one year?
What's your next step?
What's the next step?
Because now you're still facing, like, okay, you can't go back
a second year again.
Now you're stuck.
You play one more year.
Let's say some people say, oh, the players that are choosing not to go,
they're choosing go back to college, oh, they're doing enough of money.
It's nothing you're going to be able to live off for the rest of your life.
Because obviously, if you wasn't that guy to make an NFL roster,
you're not making enough to go back to college and live the rest of your life off of.
Hey, hey, going back to college, though, he might can get him a little bag, though.
that he probably wouldn't get in the problem.
How long that bag from last Joe?
It probably ain't going to last long.
Ocho, he probably ain't that good.
They even make it to the NFL like that for real.
If he got to go back, so look,
let me take advantage of this last little year or so that I got,
you know, give me a little,
give me a few coins together
because I probably, the NFL probably ain't going to work out.
I think the thing is what you got to be.
The thing is, look,
if you go back and look at our Constitution,
you look at the amendments.
Amendments had to be added
because there were things that
that happened along the way that was back in 1776 that you didn't anticipate in 1876 or 1976 or 2020.
So there are things that because there's no way that college football,
the NCAA could have foreseen a scenario that a player would actually go,
even if he's not drafted,
but go participate, practice, play in a game on an NFL team and say,
you know what, get released and say, you know what,
I'm going to go back to college.
There was no way you could afford told of that.
And so now the NCAA is going to have to get says, okay,
y'all got us this year, but your damn show won't get us moving forward in 27.
Yeah.
We're going to close this portal.
You know, in a sci-fi movie,
you know how people used to go into the portal
and they can transport themselves way?
And then you have to go back and find that portal again
to bring your ass back.
The NCAA by the close this portal.
Ain't no more celloporting.
Go, hey.
You know what?
Let's go play in the NFL.
Nah, that didn't work out.
Let's teleport ourselves back to college football
to play college basketball or college baseball,
whatever the case may be.
They're going to close this loophole.
But you can't close it for this year.
I think the guys are going to be able to play this year.
The SEC say they're going to sue.
It was a ruling.
Well, you can't, once I start to do something,
now you're talking about, no, I can't do it.
It's like a, it's like,
it's like a school policy.
You can't tell me I can't wear jeans if that was not a part of the school policy.
Now moving forward next year, now if you say there's a dress code that's in place,
Ocho, you said there's a dress code and we can't have certain, you know, you need to wear khakis
or you need to wear slacks, you need to wear a blazer and a college shirt.
And, you know, we run afire with all these stuff.
They say your hairstyle has to be a certain way.
And we see people running afire with that.
But it was in place.
And also the one thing I can joke is I do like the idea of players that might have gotten hurt,
that might have gotten hurt and didn't have eligibility.
Now, those giving them an opportunity to play a season out healthy and seeing what they can do,
I'm all for that.
I'm all for that.
But not players that have played, you've been there four years.
You didn't make it.
And you lead the NFL and come back because they have a fifth year eligibility.
No, no.
That's a slippery slope, though, Ocho.
Yeah, because you're going to have-
open up the Pandora's box.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a slippery slope because you're going to have kids playing two games,
then they mess around, acting like they hurt just so they can come to, like, it's,
that's a slippery slope, bro.
You already know, Joe, and that's the thing you have to, but I don't know what they can do in 2026,
2027 and beyond, okay, we can fix this.
You get to go to the NFL, I don't give a damn if you don't play or not.
You wore it, you put that uniform on, you had a helmet on,
You had their colors on.
Yeah.
That's it for you.
Yeah.
Hey, I don't know, though.
This, hey, LSU might be the most fascinating team in college football this year,
Uncle Ojo.
No, Lane Kippen is.
Well, yeah, Lane Kippen is.
I mean, considering the fact that, you know, he got a,
he got a whole new squad over there, bro.
New quarterback, water heavy roster, NFL,
controversy.
I just think playing Clemson, week one,
we're going to find out real quick whether, you know,
LSU really has what it takes to win a Natty.
So you got to hit you got to hit the ground, you know, kick him.
That's two games, two games that I'm looking forward to.
Not only the game when they play, when they play Clemson,
but when they play Ole Miss.
Or that's going to be a game.
I don't know where they play.
I don't know if they play in Baton Rouge or if they play at Ole Miss.
Either way, it's going to be a good game.
Yeah.
Look, we can say what we want to say about Lane.
It's hard to argue that he's a damn good.
He's not a damn good coach.
he can he can he can he can coach yeah he rubbed a lot of people the wrong way with some of the things that he does yes he does kind of run a file with it kind of he's kind of worn out his welcome everywhere that he's being he could have easily just gone on to lSU and not thought to stay because if you wanted to stay and coach oh miss you should have stayed your ass at old miss and coach o'em miss you're not going to allow you to be the head coach of another team and coach this team
Some teams allow that.
Like the bow game.
Yes, yes.
He was, because he was in, his team was in the college football playoffs.
Yeah.
So he wanted to keep coaching.
Nah, I agree with that, Ocho.
No, no, you go ahead and go.
If you wanted to coach Ommis, you wanted to coach these players.
You should have stayed jazz here.
Not granted.
Go ahead, go ahead.
Y'all saying he should, y'all saying he should have stayed there,
but hold on.
Now, the man that got, he got another job opportunity,
probably a raise because old man he probably wasn't getting that kind of money what y'all
expect them to do somebody coming to y'all with that type of money come on man i believe from
what i've heard that they try they match the offer now they probably wasn't going to be able to
match facilities they weren't going to be able to match the uh the the portal to be able to get the guys
probably got a 20 million dollar budget they probably wasn't going to be able to match all that but
i think they could have matched the salaries i don't have a problem with him leaving joe i had a
problem with saying he wanted to coach the guys i want to start i want to finish what i started
there if you wanted to finish what you started you don't get you don't you don't
you don't get the way I look at it you don't get to be with somebody else and
still get the same benefit from old lady that oh yeah it's still access you know
you see one I got a cold Joe hey I got that though no so hey got to damn I got
the opportunity of a lifetime fellas I mean come on we're going to the opportunity
I said you should take the opportunity I want to I want to I want a for I want to
I want to fulfill this little, yeah I mean.
I got going on a little situation I got going.
I want to go on fulfill it because I got these boys
over the old Mr. where we're in the play out,
the NCAA playoff.
Yeah, well, I can't finish it out.
No, Joe, no, Joe.
Not after you accepted a job somewhere else.
You want to finish here?
You think you go out.
They had a lot of, Ocho.
Dot, I, and cross out, T, didn't leave.
Ocho, they had a lot of zero's behind some of them
numbers they had over there, man.
Hey, Joe.
Ocho or that we say, oh, Joe, we disagree with you, Joe.
We're not saying don't take the job, take the job,
but take your ass where the job's at.
That's all we.
Don't play in my face.
That's about you.
You started, but I'm going to still leave.
Uh-uh.
Thank you.
If you wanted to finish what you started, guess what you should have done,
stay.
Well, it might be some players who only came there because I recruited him.
Well, they better come on with me.
They better come on with me.
with me and that's exactly what they did.
I know that quarterback didn't go with it.
Trinidad Chamblis.
Yeah.
He fought to get a six year eligibility.
He got that.
He didn't go to LSU.
Got it.
But they know they got a whip over there.
He wanted to stay in Ole Miss.
Now he probably getting,
probably giving some, you know, big bucks and no whammas,
which I don't blame it.
I don't have no problem.
I don't, I do not have a problem.
Someone taking another job.
That's well within their right.
People move jobs.
There are very few people that have the first job.
and they keep that job for the rest of the years,
though, Cho.
Most people change jobs more than once.
Some people change jobs two, three, four, five times.
I got no problem with that.
My problem is I also have a problem with a job,
you hiring someone else and then say, hey, can you train them up for us?
Hell, no, I can't.
Because if you wanted me to train them,
you'd have kept me here.
Yeah, yeah.
I got no problem either way.
Now, if the person wants to do that,
That's well within their right.
But most people like,
nah, I'm gonna go ahead and go.
He'll learn, he or she will learn.
Hold on to audacity though, Uncle Joe,
they even ask me to bring somebody up.
That's here to take my place.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Joe, you helping somebody?
As far as what?
They got their,
they're going to let you go,
but they want you before you go,
they want you to train the person
to do the job that you would do it.
Yeah, no.
Hey, hey, hey, that's just like dating a girl
and y'all break.
up and you see the guy who she dating he said hey man give me some tips on how I need
on what I need to do Dana yeah me you don't get a tip Joe yeah hell no he's gonna have to figure
out just like I had to figure it out okay oh Joe but you are but you got the head start you
already got the intel Joe you already took the tail Joe you are you got to take see you take a
class he'll show the answer you got the clip notes without having to read the book Joe
Ocho Ocho Ocho she may not act like
She may not act the same with him as she did with me.
I can't, I can't, you know what I mean?
I can't prepare him for something that may not,
that may never happen.
Hey, you, I saw Joe, you're right by that.
What?
Oh, here he goes.
He's just, right.
Hey, Joe said, I ain't getting no point.
I wanted to catch hell like I did.
Hey, you got to figure out.
Hey, you might bring out a different version of her
that he will never reach.
That's what I'm trying.
I got, hey.
But he won't.
But maybe he want to pull that side of it.
Right.
But he's not Joe.
That side that you were able to get to, but you know what I'm saying, but your
personality, your personality kind of rough.
So he got the mistakes that you made, he won't make that mistakes.
Well, then I don't need to tell him how he needs to go about it then.
He can figure it out as he goes.
Yeah.
Hey, Joe, I tell you one thing.
I know you don't want to tell him, you know, all the secrets to how to make a happy
or do to do, but that don't make you no bad brother, baby.
Nah, hell, nah, I ain't tell nothing.
Yeah, you hear me?
Hey, hey, what's she like?
What's her favorite color?
Yeah.
I don't know.
What she like to do?
I don't know.
All of them first date questions, you get them out the way right, quick, and lock
them in your memory bank.
Whatever she hasn't told you, I guess she didn't want you to know.
Hello.
Because I ain't telling you nothing.
Hello, I ain't saying Nathan.
Period.
Yeah.
Yeah.
A good question too.
Oh.
Favorite color?
What's your favorite color?
Oh, man.
He's a favorite color.
Oh, man.
He's late too.
Green.
It's so many different shades of green.
What green?
Far as green.
You see how many times you didn't have been in green with you?
Oh, yeah, yeah.
And you're talking about what's the favorite color?
I'm money green.
Teach him something on, teach him some.
Your favorite color black?
No, because I always wear black.
No.
You're okay, okay, be observing.
You know, black, black makes me feel, it makes me feel Devonnell.
Hey, hey, Joe, black made me feel demur.
Well, I don't know if you want to feel that way in black, but okay.
What demure?
Demir.
What demure mean?
Look it up.
Hold on.
What wrong with this dude?
The mirror.
Reserve, modest.
Yeah, that's me.
I'm reserved and modest.
Bad shit, your answer.
He's allowed to do it when he comes into the room.
Hey, wait, Joe, thanks.
Everything, everything they say he's not.
Here's talking about, yeah, that's me right there.
Hey, Joe, what you're wearing tomorrow, Joe?
Come on, come on, man.
You'll see me.
When you see me, baby, you know what I'm saying?
Joe, if you wear your boots?
No, I ain't wearing no boots.
man okay okay okay oh Joe we got a lot of standing we got to do tomorrow your feet

Well, I'm gonna be clean here, boy.
What hair piece?
Joe, I'm for the hair piece to go with my fit.
Like, you know, Anderson Pack.
End of the back.
He got Adamson Pack week.
You for the hat, that's what you wearing on?
Yeah, boy, my boots with the belt.
Man, nice little vest with a shirt with a shirt.
Nice little watch.

What?
This man here, Chad.
This man needs help, Chad.
Y'all need the help.
Hey, Joe, don't be clean, though, Joe.

We host the podcast Hollywood Handbook on the Big Money Players Network.
Our show is extremely accessible to first-time listeners.
Each week, we talk to someone in show business, aka the biz, and try to help them with
their careers and see what they have to offer us.
Everyone has a good time, and no one gets mad at their publicist.
for letting them do our show.
We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman.
Not that great.
Actually, can you help me shape this?
How about we flip it on his head, right?
How about we flip the script?
What is the surprise woman?
Actually, you think is the straight man
is actually the one who's acting weird.
Adam Scott.
This entire time, you've been expecting Adam Sandler
to come to visit the show.
I would never
I would never set expectations for something like that to happen.
If the universe allows for something like that to happen,
I'm open to it.
I'm always going to accept.
You know, Danny McBride, fine.
Yeah, it's all this fragile masculinity.
Exuding.
I could smell it walking down the hallway, to be honest with you.
I was like, is that weed?
Nope, it's fragile masculinity.
Mm-hmm.
Ben Stiller, no.
Because a lot of times, out of common,
context, people don't get it or even know what a circle is.
You know what I mean?
They're like, oh, what's a state.
Everyone's so dumb.
And fake.
Right.
Fake and also not interested or just like, oh, I've got my life.

What happens when a quiet Tennessee town becomes the front line in a battle over the future of America?
Developers with right-wing ties have purchased hundreds of acres of land in the area.
The first thing you see when it pops up is pioneers in Appalachia.
But they weren't just planning houses.
We need cities on a shining hill that exemplify and embody.
the Christian way of life.
Stop right there. Is that normal?
A podcast about what happens
when a small town becomes the site
of a social experiment.
God need men to rule. Great.
And decides to fight back.
Do not use my hard work
to sell your bull-h-h-h-
They're not just opposing
what's being planned for here.
Our hometown is not a test tube.
They feel like they're standing in opposition
to an entire administration.
Guess you didn't move in on a bunch of dumb hillbillies now, did you?

I already know it.
The UNC Football Program is being investigated on allegations regarding whether the defensive coordinator Steve Belichick provided drugs to a player or used them while we're duty.
Separately, whether a member of the USC recruiting staff had a sexual relationship with a player.
The investigation includes allegedly possible sexual relationships between assistant coaches and recruiting.
staff. The investigation comes as
UNC football GM Michael Lombardi
resides from his position
earlier Thursday. Ocho,
if all these allegations are true,
how bad could this be for the legacy of
Coach Belichick? Oh, man.
Man, this is crazy. The funny thing is
it's not, it's people that are attached to
Coach Belichick. It's not actually him doing it.
You understand what I'm saying?
So those people are an extension
of him. So that's staying, obviously,
can it affect his legacy?
Yes, in a sense, but what he's done on
football field, him in general, that's in a class of its own.
But people will continuously bring this up.
When we talk about Coach Belichick in general, Uncle Joe, but listen, these are the things
that happen.
They'll bring up the flake gate, you know, they'll bring up that.
They'll bring the stuff up with, with obviously, spy gate.
They'll bring up the A differential when it comes to who we decided to date.
Now they'll bring up this situation as well.
So some of those things can stain the legacy, especially for those that aren't too fond of
and how he's treated people over the years
and not being as open and welcoming
when it comes to having to do certain things
with media in general.
So they're looking for anything.
They're looking for anything
to use as a negative
and to say, okay, look, see,
this is why.
This is why he wasn't first ballot.
This is why we didn't let him in right away.
So, I mean, it sucks for him.
But, and, oh, that's crazy.
How does this stuff always get out?
Amen.
People talk.
Yep.
The same way, the same way, um, everything happens, people talk.
Mm-hmm.
And, oh, Joe, it's hard to keep a, it's really hard to keep a secret unless you do it by
yourself.
Mm-hmm.
Mm.
If it's two, if it's, if it's, if it's more than one person involved, if somebody
get jammed up, if somebody get caught, and I ain't the biggest player, I got to roll over,
bro, I got to tell.
Hey, you know what's so funny?
And we see that time and time and time again today.
I'm saying, y'all probably not, don't listen to watch,
but just me.
I don't live that lifestyle,
but I just see a scenario that going on like that right now.
And I'm not mentioning any names, anything.
But I'm like, well, oh, everybody was so close,
everybody always tight-knit,
but soon as one person falls,
they get the point in the finger,
and everybody's telling them.
Hell, yeah.
It was all good.
Oh, Joe.
If they know you're involved, partner,
and they want to cut in on.
that sentence you want to cut it in on that sentence hey hey boy I see them
boys out there whistling singing songs well I'm like oh yeah I know exactly what you
got to take what it come with because that's the lifestyle you chose if you
choose that life exactly change crumple you're supposed to sit on that you got to
stand on that but you know how people are that's what you chose but people don't
think oh cho you know how the mind is wired nobody thinks it's gonna happen to
them I'm not good if I choose this lifestyle
I'm not going to get run down on.
Nobody's going to get the drop on me.
I'm never going to go to jail.
I'm never going to do a bid.
So they're thinking that when you youth and you young,
you think you're invincible.
Yep.
You don't think this can possibly happen to you.
The judge told my home,
he gave my homeboy like 240 months.
My homeboy said,
Judge, I can't do all this time.
Judge, say, do what you can.
Do what you can.
Hey, hey, hey, hey.
Do what you can.
Hold on.
Judge told him, do what you can and come back and see.
Do what you can.
He said, Judge, I can't do all that time.
Judge said, do what you can.
I don't know how much of you can do, but just do whatever you can, son.
Hey, this is very unfortunate for North Carolina, though.
Was that his son?
Is that his son involved?
That's his son.
That's the son involved.
And you know what's wild about all this.
You look at what happened in Michigan.
There's a lot more that I'm sure that goes on that doesn't get caught.
You know what I'm saying?
Like this is normal activity if you ask me.
Yes.
Like I've seen quite a bit, bro, and, you know, going through college and understanding what's accessible to you.
Nowadays, hell, it's time 10.
Yes.
I'm saying, bro.
Yes.
That's crazy, man.
Some people know how to keep their mouth closed.
Some people don't.
Obviously, the more people know, the more risk it is, depending on what you're doing.
So, I mean, it...
But you get riskier, Ocho.
I think the thing is, so a lot of time when you're doing things, you become...
You just like, you get just...
Instead of just keeping that thing on the hush, hush, and keeping it quiet, all of a sudden,
you're talking to that person, I'm public.
And you all up on them.
People, people read, listen, people read body language.
People can read the tea leaves.
All of a sudden, you talk to every time I turn around,
she in your face or you in her face.
Every time I go somewhere, you know, I see, hey,
she at the same place that you at.
Okay.
People going to pick up on that.
Oh, you know what, small example,
always being in the same place,
thinking nobody's watching.
Without saying names, you already know what I'm talking about.
How do you always get to the videos of y'all together?
It shouldn't be that, especially with you being here and that individual also being a part of that world too.
What are you doing?
Yeah.
Just so happens that every time, just so happens, y'all like the same type of food on the same type of night.
At the same restaurant.
In the same.
Damn.
Yeah.
It's just, I, you know, I hate this for Coach Belichick.
And Coach Belichick is so buttoned up.
But it just goes to show you no matter how buttoned up a program is or the head of the program,
you really can't control what the subordinate do.
And that's not fair.
That's the part that's not fair.
Because whoever's under you, Joe, whoever's on your staff, you're responsible for their actions,
even if you don't know nothing about it.
The same thing with coaches.
Even if you don't know.
You're the head coach of a football team.
You're responsible.
Georgia players.
You always get in the trouble for doing.
one thing speed and every guy damn time.
Speed every time. And they blame
the coach. Like I can only
I can't control all of them.
When in my eyesight
under my supervision
in the gym
in the locker room on the field,
yes, I can't control them outside
of that environment.
But you still take
man,
I mean, it's unfair.
That's why that's why if you're
a head coach, you really
have to pick your staff well because it don't matter what they do.
Orcan Ocho, they are a reflection.
Yeah.
Period.
Point blank.
So this is always going, you know, this is going to have a stain on Belichick, you know,
whether he liked it or not, whether he knew about it or not.
It's just part of it.
It comes with the territory, bro.
He probably picked this whole damn staff.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
Yeah.
So, hey man.
Man, that's so.
Because what, what, well, he didn't know.
They're going to say you should have known.
Hello.
Is your job?
I'm telling you.
Yep.
Man, that sucks.
And as the head of everything,
that's what you have to do.
I mean, it's,
it sucks.
Now you got to clean your house.
Well, I mean,
Lombardi resigned.
Doesn't seem like Steve is coming back.
Because Coach Belichick called,
he called the defensive signals last week.
Yeah.
So it doesn't look like he's coming.
coming back. They said the investigation is still ongoing.
I thought it was just the drug, the drug stuff. You mentioned some other stuff about sex and
then, and all this. Yeah. Yep. Hey. Yeah, y'all know how I go here.
Then recruits come in. You're trying to show them a funky good time. Hey, Joe. I've been
that's a whole story, Joe. That's been going on since the 1920s now.
But what I'm saying is that we can't act like it don't happen, no,
Oh, Joe, it happens.
It's been happening.
It's going to continue to happen.
I turned mine down, though, when I went.
How many of you turned down, Joe?
How many of you?
It was two.
Okay, okay, Joe, okay.
Hey, hey, hey.
Oh, see, Joe slow motion.
See, he old country boy.
Old country boy ain't know nothing about that.
Whoa, whoa, look, look, look,
don't get me up here taking me fans.
Let me, let me get settled in.
Damn, I'm good.
Right, right, right, right.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down.
Slow down.
Hey, Joe, I ain't going to mention no name.
You know, I went on a little trip one time, you know.
You know, and I ain't really had the grades to get in there,
but they bought me in anyway.
I don't even know how they waited like, you know, on me.
But, you know, just, you know, to appease me and try to get me to come to their entity.
You know, they had five of them for me, Joe.
Damn, five.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, different ethnicists.
Boy, you ain't got enough for five, do you?
Boy, who, Joe?
Boy, come on, boy.
Hey, Joe, you know, they called me 33 for a real.
My bad, my bad, my bad.
They had five of them.
I was like, you know, different ethnicity, different heights, you know, different weights.
I was like, okay.
And they, but the whole point of them having that was, listen, if you come here, I just want to show you that we have adversity.
You know, you pick from, you know, I'm like, oh.
You said they had what?
Diversity.
No, diversity.
Yeah, yeah, that's what I mean.
Yeah, yeah, you don't want adversity.
You don't want that.
Hey, I'm a little nervous right now.
I'm trying to make sure I don't get no pillow and nothing flying in my head.
Right, right.
I got you.
It's old.
It's back in the day.
It's back in the 90s.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's over 20-something years ago.
Yeah, I ain't, you know.
I'm just telling the old story.
Yeah, my bad.
I'm gonna cut that.
Joe, this man, so he had, what kind of adversity we got for you?
Yeah, the old story.
You know, old story.
No.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm glad you.
I was professional, Joe.
I was professional.
I didn't even, I say, I appreciate that.
I appreciate the awful.
Appreciate all, but I ain't got no,
I ain't got nothing on me.
Damn, hey, can I, I, I don't want
nothing to get throwing you away neither.
But I want to ask you, was they, was they up to par?
Hey, Joe.
Hey, Joe.
Okay, okay.
Yeah, yeah, I got you.
I got you.
I got you already.
Y'all two fellows.
Hey, Joe, one of 10, you know, eight, eight and nine.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I was, I would lock the end or I would forward.
I were trying to show them, I would focus on the end goal.
That, what y'all showing me, that's going to be there.
That's going to be there at any point at any time, you know.
Yeah.
Oh, Joe.
That normally work.
That normally get them there, Joe.
Hey, hey, hold up, though.
Hey, because, see, me in college, they were just a pissed out.
Okay, Ocho, I ain't gonna be here long, baby girl.
I ain't gonna waste your time.
I'm gonna keep it 100 with you.
You know what I'm saying?
Like I got something, I got something I gotta do.
I got somewhere I got it to be.
You hear me?
I got a dream I'm going to chase, man.
It's right there.
I promise you, I ain't gonna mess it up.
I promise you, I ain't.
Yeah.
I'm with you when you're right.
Listen, at least you had one pit stop.
Boy, I had to make a few of them like I was a NASCAR driver, Joe.
I had the chain tires.
I had the gas up.
I had a fender bender.
I had to go back to the pit stop.
Yeah, but it worked out for me, Joe.
It probably, it was worth it, though.
It was worth it.
When you think about it, when you think about it,
where you ultimately got and the type and the career that you had, come on, man.
I made it much more difficult, Joe.
I made it for my, yeah, you can't.
Oh, Joe, Ocho, you can't have a testimony without a test, partner.
Why don't you start preaching the day?
You can't have a testimony without a test.
That's all I'm saying, man.
You got, hey, that's how I go.
Yes, sir.
Yes, sir.
Yes, sir.
Yes, sir.
I like, yeah.
I like that, okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That was a good one.
Look at all.
You look at them.
Oh, don't get hit up.
I'm not, I'm not good.
I just explained.
That's why I went off, I point,
I looked off camera and said, this is old.
It's 25 some years ago.
He really, really nothing like that.
You feel me?
Oh, just old.
Yeah, we're not like that.
The old war stories, you feel?
Yeah, he had a pass.
He had a pass.
Hey, we all do.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, hello.
You know, me, mine, you know, mine.
You know, mine pretty clean, you know.
Okay.
What's pretty clean?
Hell, Joe.
I ain't saying that.
That's the point.
You're supposed to say, yeah, I know that.
The real fact that you didn't say anything,
you didn't co-sign real quick enough.
I'll wait for you to keep going.
I thought you had something out today.
You know what I mean?
That's all I wanted to say.
I ain't got no going to add to it.
Look, I hope this doesn't keep Coach Belichick out another year.
This should have.
First of all, he should have been a first ballot.
It's going to be very interesting
because there's some guys coming up
that have some checking stuff in their past, don't you?
And we're going to see
because before T.O. came up,
they didn't use anything off the field
against the guy to keep him going into the hall.
He was solely based on what you did on the field.
So.
Hey, you know how they do, though.
They change the rules.
They move the goalposts depending on who it is.
That is absolutely correct.
they like, there's some people they don't.
Hold on, no, hold on.
Man, don't want all these, come on,
we're talking about Belichick.
This man ain't first ballot, bro.
And listen, he's the standard.
There ain't no such thing.
There should not be another coach
that get in on the first ballot
if Coach Belichick didn't go in.
It's insane, that's insane.
It's insane.
It's gonna be very interesting.
I hate that this falls up
on it happen on his watch.
You're responsible for what happens on you.
It's just like parents.
I mean, so how do I, how do I know what my kids do?
But I get, I'm here responsible for them, Joe.
Yeah.
They get out the house and they go and they do all kind of stuff.
When I got my eyes on them, I can see them.
And I hope I've done a good enough job raising them that they know right from wrong
when they get out from under my eyesight, my eye line.
Hello.
But.
Yeah.
Hey, hey, you know, they, I hope I ain't misquoting this,
but I think they say, you know, due to the school,
shootings that's transpired if it continues to happen.
Uncle Ocho, I think they're gonna start charging these parents, bro.
What these kids do.
Yeah. Yeah.
That's tough.
But you know, we don't have no privacy.
It was like, don't, why are you in my room?
Get out of my room.
What are you doing?
Like that.
And what?
What?
Your room is in my house.
And I go anywhere.
I want you.
Hey, man, listen, you're talking about closing the dough, Uncle Joe.
And they have.
house under their roof, man, they take that damn door off the hinges, man.
Man, don't play with me in my house.
Slam the door.
They can be slamming the door than that.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
I wish my kids would have slammed one, one door.
Hey, yeah.
I don't know.
I'd have seen some, I've seen some in the mall and grocery store eggs.
I'm talking my kids throwing temperate and all over the floor.
I'm thinking to myself, like, ain't no way.
Ain't no damn way.
I'd shut down.
Where am I said?
I'd shut down on him.
My grandma right there.
Wherever you show out, that's exactly when you get woe out.
Oh, on the spot.
Hey, that's when they started talking to you with their teeth together.
Get you.
Hell yeah.
They'll be truiloquist.
You know what they're saying?
Yeah.
And you understand every word they're saying.
Everything.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We, black people invented being a ventriloquist.
They've been talking without moving they might.
Wow.
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hold on.
She could do it from across the room to me.
Okay, Ocho, if I would do it something, man.
You know exactly what that meant, you know?
I remember what I'm thinking.
Me and my brother be playing the church.
We'd be playing the church.
My grandma will be look over there.
I start crying.
You ain't got to say nothing, huh?
Yeah, I already know.
Because you know, we had to sit on the front.
Joe, we had to sit past the second row.
Yeah.
If the first row was taken, you had to get on that second row.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
And most of the time, we're done so early,
so we're going to be on the front row.
And my girlfriend can see everything, because she's on the second row.
Yeah.
And the Deacon F corner.
Yeah.
My grandfather's on the front row in the Deacon corner.
He might be over there asleep.
Granted don't miss a beat.
Mm-hmm.
Miles Garrett is ranked number one in the 2026 top in a
The NFL ranking, 100 rankings, Gary said a single season sack record with a 23 sack total,
when his second AP defensive player of the year.
Prior to this, the last defensive player to claim the number one spot to top 100 was his teammate,
Aaron Donald, in 2019.
The top 10 goes as follows.
Josh Allen was number two.
Bejohn Robinson was number three.
Matthew Stafford, number four.
Jackson, Smith, and Jigba.
Number five.
Christian McCaffrey, number six.
Pooka Nacour, number seven.
Michael Parsons, number eight,
Jamir Gibbs, number nine,
and Pat Sartan the second is number 10.
Joe, Ocho, did they get this right?
Hold on.
This is the top 100 football players of the 2026 season?
Just the top 100 players in the 2025,
but the ranking comes out in 2026.
So basically, these are the top 100 players in the NFL currently.
As we speak, these are the top 100,
as voted on by the players.
I mean, based on what's up there, you really can't go wrong, honestly.
You can make your argument.
You know, there might be some players that belong in the top 10 that might not be on there
that had okay seasons last year.
But I can't argue with this, Uncle Joe.
You would have to, I mean, you really can't.
So I think some people would probably nickpick in the order that they have them in.
I mean, just everybody's worthy of being exactly where they are.
Some people are too high.
Some people may say some people may say some people are too low.
And those that do say that it would probably be fans, you know, or or fans of that specific team or player.
The Rams, think about it, the Rams have three of the top.
Rams got three of the top seven.
That's crazy.
The Rams got three of the top seven players in the NFL.
And then they brought Aaron Donal back.
See, the people got messed up.
See, there's no player, quarterbacks, they're not, they're saying best player, not most,
valuable. Value and best are two different things.
We understand the quarterback touches the ball every play.
His value is unsurpassed.
But just because his value is unsurpassed,
that doesn't mean he's the best.
I don't have a problem with Miles Garrett.
Think about it.
On a losing team,
they're behind.
This man got 23 sacks.
Now, if he was on the Rams,
if he was on Seattle,
he was on one of these teams that score a lot,
their offense is forcing the opposing team in a lot of passing
situations because they're behind.
Yeah.
You might have me.
But when you win four, five, six games and you're behind 85, 90% of the time,
and you still can jump off the rock and get 23 sacks?
What?
Crazy.
Crazy.
Come on now.
I would love to sit in the room and hear football fans debate this list, especially the top 10.
And boy, they will dissect everything to have their player in the top five or top three.
They'll say some of them belong.
I know Eagles fans say Jaylor Hurts belongs in there because he's a winner.
They'll say there's no reason Josh Allen should be that high.
I mean, just it is.
Josh Allen is the only man that got that many passing touchdowns and rush a rush a touchdown.
This man going to rush for 100 touchdown and probably throw for 300 touchdown.
He's going to do something that probably nobody else.
I mean, I didn't see this out of Josh Allen.
I thought he was good.
He's six, five and a half, 250 pounds can run,
got a, got a laser for an arm, which you need up in Buffalo.
I think they're indoors now, Ocho, so it's not, his arm strength is not going to be needed as much.
But it's still, New England is open.
Jets, it's open.
Miami is, you know, you might get some rain, but you're not going to get no, no hellation weather other other than rain.
But I don't have a problem with the list.
I think the list is, it's, look, Ocho, I don't know how y'all do it, Joe, but Ocho and I can tell you.
When it comes to voting, everybody doesn't vote.
Everybody, because you're asking people to vote, man, they try to get out of there.
They've been over there all day.
They've been over there all day, man, I got to get home.
I got stuff I got to do.
I got to do something for the wife.
I got my mom.
I got my dad.
I got brother-sister.
I got somebody coming to my girl coming in town.
Hey, go ahead and vote for me, Ocho.
Whatever you say, hey, I'm good.
Joe, go ahead, go ahead, go ahead, vote for me, man.
Yeah.
The guys don't take a series.
No. No. No.
Yeah. I remember when the players could vote in the NBA.
You know, we've been, we were a part of it.
I'm going to be honest with you.
I never took it lightly, Uncle Ocho.
You know, I just always, you know, obviously gave everybody they just do when needed.
I wouldn't want to, excuse me, I wasn't one of those guys who took that stuff for granted.
You know what I mean?
Because I know how hard guys prepare.
Yeah.
I know how hard they work in the summer to keep their bodies in shape and to come in and dominate throughout the 82 game season.
That's challenging, bro.
That's challenging.
But I can see why they took it away because you got all these guys who be clicked up and they vote for their home boys.
And they did.
So you had to make way with that.
That's the thing, Joe.
I might not even like a guy.
But if the guy I'm basing down whether I like you or not, I'm based on how well you played on the field.
When I look at you whether I played you or not, when I've trucked you off on tape.
because you got an Amber Alert over there.
Amber Alert?
Oh.
Oh, that's on the TV.
Because I was like, hey, my phone, eh?
Hey, yeah.
Based on what I took off on tape,
and if I played the guy,
there are some guys that they had all these names,
I didn't see what they were talking about.
I can't vote for you.
Just because you got hype, you got a name.
I didn't think you played that one.
Maybe that was an off game.
I can just base it on that.
But I took it serious.
I really did,
and hopefully people took it serious when they voted for me
or they didn't vote for me.
So, hey, man, he ain't played that well against us.
He didn't block well.
He didn't catch well.
I'm okay with that.
Yeah.
But I don't have a problem with this
because I thought Miles Garrett,
normally guys that have the sack total like this,
they have an offense that can put pressure
on the opposing offense,
and you've got to play catch up.
Yeah.
clearly they had no lead
the biggest lead they might have
have was 7-0-0 in the first drive
other than that
Joe they're not playing with a lead
and this man got 23 sacks
with the constant double team that he's dealing with
they losing games by 21 points
and this man got three four sacks
with how is that even possible?
I totally understand what you're saying
I think with the season Miles Garrett had
last season, okay Ocho
do y'all think he's still going to be as
great as he was in Cleveland, although, you know, they weren't playing meaningful basketball.
Now with the Rams, yeah, they want Super Bowl. They want it in their building. You know, this a,
you know, this, this, this is going to be a, a pretty intense season for them. Do you, do y'all still
see him dominating the way he did last year? I do. Let me tell you why, Joe.
No, no, no, I don't think he followed that back. But not, not to that magnitude. I don't think so.
The thing it is, Joe, people don't realize how hard.
hard it is to stay motivated when you lose it.
Yeah.
That is the hardest thing to do.
To know when you go out there on the field, no matter how well I play,
Ocho, the man had five sacks, they lose by 21.
The man have three sacks, they lose by 17.
How hard is it for you, Joe, you go out there and you score in 35 a night and you lose it by 20?
It's hard to stay motivated.
It's hard.
What am I playing for other than for?
selfish reasons. I play a team sport.
Yeah. My individual accolades, yes, they'll get acknowledged, but everybody's going to say,
well, hey, and I, and this was my argument to trade him, Ocho. I said, Ocho, they finish in the last
place. They can finish them without it. Yeah. Yeah. You're not a Miles Garrett away. The Rams
believe they're a Miles Garrett away from winning a championship. Cleveland went to Miles
Garrett away. They needed another Miles Garrett and two or three Miles Garrett on office.
tight players, not at Miles Garrett,
but Miles Garrett tight players on offense
to be able to compete for a championship.
So I get it.
For him
to stay as motivated and as hungry
as he was and to put up the numbers
that he did, I think
now with something to play for
every single week and the expectations
that are placed on him, this is what he wanted.
He said he wanted to compete for a championship.
Well,
go, go compete for a championship.
I say you are.
tell you this right now, Joe.
He might not get 23 sacks,
but I could, I could book it.
Give him 17, 18, boy.
I was going to say he's going to get at least,
he's going to get at least 14, 15.
If he get off to a fast start,
like, you know, that first five weeks
and you're in a, no, five or six range,
you get off to a jump, man, man, listen.
His thing is that he get a bunch of sacks,
he gets sacks and he gets sacks and bunches.
He'll go three, three, four,
Yep.
And next thing, you know, Cup, you're like,
man, they ain't played before games.
He got 10 sacks already.
He got out of one of them stars.
And he very well just might get off to a fast like that.
Yeah.
Josh Allen number two, phenomenal.
He didn't play well in Denver.
And we beat him up.
We said he didn't play well.
The careless turnover right before the half,
he fumbles the ball.
That led to a field goal.
and a guy wide open in overtime that would have won them the game.
Was that overtime or regulation?
It might have been regulation because it ended up selling for a field goal.
So it might have been regulation that possibly would have won them to game.
He didn't play well.
He did not play well that game.
And Ocho and I, we came on that night and said he didn't play well that night.
He's got to play better in those type of moments.
Football is not guys play.
Nobody, no quarterback has played great
the entirety of the game.
But those moments, it's moments that we remember
Tom Brady, it's moments that we remember
Joe Montana, is moments that we remember
Tom Brady and John Elway, it's moments.
Yes, Jordan turned the ball over.
But what about those moments
when he needed to be Mike?
He was.
When Kobe needed to be Kobe, he was.
That's the difference.
In the moments, when the moments
call you to be your absolute best,
can and will you be that.
Right.
Josh Allen was that.
Bejan Robinson, what do we say?
I mean, what do we, what do we say?
Ain't nobody arguing that.
You can't.
What do we say?
Can't argue that one.
That boy, a dog game, man.
Premier.
He nice.
He is nice.
Matthew Stafford.
Hey, you could have either had Matthew Stafford,
number one.
led the league and passed the yards led the league and passing touchdowns what was he 40 plus 40 plus touchdowns eight interceptions
um j S in led the league led the league and receiving yardage right run extra a it's like he's gliding
i mean he ain't nothing he's not in the hurry everything everything looks to say you don't know
if he's breaking out breaking in he's staying up the scene he's running the seven he's running the sale
he's stopping.
Everything is just,
he's just so effortless.
It's just like,
he's nice,
he nice.
Everything is at that same,
that same pace.
Yeah.
Christen McCaffrey,
can do it all.
You run between the tackles
for a guy his size
running between the tackles,
can catch it out of the back field.
He'd have been an outstanding slot receiver
if he couldn't do anything but play the slot.
Can run routes like a wire receiver.
Pooka Nakua.
Pooka missed a couple of games.
and still led the league in receptions.
Micah, what do we say about Micah?
You saw the flashes
and why Green Bay gave up what they gave up to get him
and then turned around and gave him the big contract.
Hold on.
Then he had double-digit sax before he even got hurt?
Yes, yes.
He's about to have more double-digit sacks.
Is he going to be ready to start the season or not?
No, he's on the puck.
He missed the first four games.
Missed before four games.
Jamir Gibbs.
Boy, he goes away.
You mess around and take the wrong angle you want to,
he can get past that second level.
You might as well strike up the bend.
Yeah, he run out from under angle.
He definitely can run out from an angle.
Strike up the bend.
And what do we say about Pat Sotan?
He's just the premier cornering football.
He's the standard.
I mean, he can't stop me, but he's a standard.
I mean, six, three, 200 pounds.
Great.
technically sound.
Yeah.
When you think of him, you think, you think technique.
Yeah.
Fundamentally, he's fundamentally sound.
He has no belletious.
Nice.
Very fluid.
For a guy his size to be able to open his hips like he does, Joe, and turn and take off,
decelerate and get out of break, get down hill, to back, to come back down,
to sit up and make a mistake, he can get it to the house.
I like this top 10.
I think they did a great job.
I think they did a great job
and selected the top 10.
So whoever voted,
obviously there's only been three defensive guys
that's ever been voting number one.
J.J. Watt was the first to do it in 2015.
Aaron Donald did it in 2019.
And now that just goes to show you
how dominant they were in the seasons in which they got it.
Because this is football now is an offensive game,
Ocho.

without asking anyone else first.
I'm on a mission to reclaim the word Solita, trading the pity for possibility.

The entire draft room groans, because you just took the guy,
they wanted. There's no better feeling than crushing your fantasy football league.
I'm JJ Zachary Eisen, host of the award-winning late-round podcast. Before your draft,

College football will hijack your weekend, ruin your sleep, and break your
heart. And that's why we make the Solid Verbal College Football Show. I'm Ty Hildenbrand. He's Dan
Rubinstein. Every week, we preview the games that matter and the storylines that are going to
ignite your group chat. And you can join us in the aftermath as we react to what happened,
why it matters, and how the sport went completely bonkers yet again. Listen to the Solid
Verbal College Football Show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your

did that was a murderer. A new podcast series, Faultline Haditha, tells the story of a shocking crime
and a cover-up at the highest levels of the United States Marine Corps. If you've got five players
and you offer immunity to four, you better be right about the fit. Because if you're not,
then you've just given immunity to your killer. Listen to Faultline Haditha on the IHeart
Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
