So let's get right into it, Ocho.
The Chief Beat the Giants.
Patrick Mahomes did enough.
He is 22 or 37, 224,
passing yards, one touchdowns, no interception.
But, hey, they didn't make a whole lot of plays,
but they made the plays that matter.
Tyquan Thornton is starting to become his favorite receiver.
You can understand that.
The only thing I had a problem with,
he tried to do things with Tyco on Underwood,
and Tycoon Underwood has only been there three, four months.
That you would do with a veteran receiver.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Then listen, somebody got to answer the call.
We've been talking about the same thing the past three weeks.
No receivers, nobody to throw two.
So I like the fact that he has trusting Tyquon Thornton.
That's why he's throwing the ball.
He's throwing it to him for a reason.
No, no, I'm not talking about, no, I'm not talking about throwing to him.
Yo, no, he's the one that stepping up.
I'm talking about he had to play.
I think it was, what, third down?
And they ran like a smash concept.
And the guy was in the flat wide open.
And he threw it because the guy started coming up that was over him.
He saw the guy and what you call him, one pull up.
So he went to him.
and my home in my home through it that's something you and cars and after being together five or six years
that guy disappears oh cho get your head around right now but put it on you yes that's not that's something
you build up over the course of years no i ain't got no problem because he's making hell of a place
for him and it seems to me he has he has the most confidence in him now i don't know if you saw this
but you saw the third quarter on that third and six you saw who ran the option route yes sir
Noah Gray.
It wasn't Travis Kelsey.
Yeah.
Travis Kelsey came back and ran it again, though.
What did you call the whip when y'all come back out?
Yeah.
Yeah, he came back and ran it some other time.
But they have to do things like that and switching and switching positions
or switching the route concepts with Noah Gray and Travis Kelsey because they know what he's doing,
huh?
They know what he's doing.
Most of the time he's getting covered.
He's getting frustrated, not being able to get the ball.
He got into it with Andy Reid on the sideline.
Again.
Again. I'm probably, probably being frustrated about not putting in positions to make some of the plays or whatnot. But listen, that happens. I mean, that happens. That's a part of football. I mean, Unk, I'm sure knowing you, you probably haven't gotten into altercations like that with your coaches. But it happened from time to time, especially in sports, when a play gets frustrated and they have a relationship with a coach like that, stuff like that happens. I got a question for you real quick. You know what I'm throwing is from?
Mm-mm. Okay. He went to bailout, I think.
But he from dying here in Miami.
No, is he?
Yeah, Boogie T. Watson in the high school.
Yes, sir.
Yes, sir.
He's coming on strong because he's making plays
and maybe because he's healthy,
maybe they're giving him opportunities.
But New England's probably watching this game.
Like, we never saw any of that.
Oh, well, listen, you got to know how to use your players.
You got to know how you use your players.
That's what I say, yes.
You give them the right opportunities
and putting them in a position to make those players hell.
God damn my homes went to them deep,
back to back like it's goddamn seven-on-seven.
You got to.
Because he's going to make a play.
He's the only guy that can really make a play on the ball.
On that last play, Hollywood Brown, you know where the ball is.
You stop, let the DB run up your back, get a penalty.
You don't keep running when you see the ball on the throne, Ocho.
That's when you slow down, let the guy run over you.
They throw the flag.
That's what you're supposed to do.
These guys have been receivers far too long to make the most,
to not understand this at this point of their career.
I understand, yes, the ball was underthrown,
but that's when you helped your quarterback out
because you know it's underthrown.
The DV didn't have his head around.
He doesn't know it's underthrown.
So now if you slow down, his momentum is going to run over you
and the official is going to throw the flag.
But I like Tyquine Thornton.
He's trying to high point the ball.
He's trying to make plays on the ball.
But it was, oh, Joe, the first half, this was terrible.
This was a terrible game to watch.
I was like, damn.
It was the snooze fest.
Yes.
It was the snooze fest, honestly.
And I don't know at what point I like that Taekwuan Thornton showed up tonight.
Obviously, Holmes is probably going to continue to target him because he's built up truss.
He's built up trust with him.
Yes.
And Tyquant, I know you're going to see this.
When the opportunity like this present a day self and the door opens, close that motherfucker behind you, please.
Close it behind you because you can get you as the season continues to progress.
they're going to find ways and put you in positions to make plays based on what you're
able to do tonight.
You're absolutely right, Ocho.
And like I said, sometimes, Ocho, it's a situation where you have a quarterback and you
have a system that's conducive to what you do.
They let him stretch the field.
He ran for it too.
You just can't run him on stop, Rouse.
You just can't run him on comeback.
Send him down the field on the go nine balls.
Send him on the field on the deep post.
See him on a far cross.
And so maybe he's just getting an opportunity.
Maybe he's healthy.
he's dealt with some injuries in New England, whatever the case may be.
But he's been a bright spot for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Offensively, it's still, it's, you know, and Mahomes, it's not like Mahomes is playing great.
He's missing some throws too now.
Because I don't want what people that way.
I understand.
Yes, he doesn't have the elitist of receivers, but he's missing some throws that he
normally would make.
Make, yeah.
And we're not used to seeing that we've gotten accustomed.
to see, you know, every year in the L.C. Championship game and the great throws and all these
touchdowns and the MVP's. He hasn't played well. Yes, he hasn't played well. Defensively,
they did an unbelievable job tonight. Held him to what, nine points? In matter of fact, not only
holding the line points, and this is, I'm not calling Spags. I'm not calling Spags Bill Belichick by
any means, but Spaggs does a wonderful job when he goes into a game and they say, you know what,
we take an uno away. We take him.
number one away. He's not going to beat us. Matter of fact, based on what he did last
week against the Cowboys, he's not catching any deep balls or being productive and being
a reason why the Giants even have a chance to win this game. And believe neighbors did a hell
of a job, for one, not getting frustrated, two, not cutting up on the sideline. Because Spags,
no matter what, you are not going to beat us tonight. No, I just, I don't need, I'm not going to
run the same defense. I just want to shut him out in the first half.
Right.
But see, what I want to do is take away early.
Yeah.
Because that once I take you away the first half, now you're not in a rhythm.
I need to feel, I need to touch the ball.
The football needs to touch my hand, Ocho, early in order for me to get into a rhythm,
in order for me to feel like I'm being a participant in this ball game
and that you guys believe that I can help you win the game.
Now, you spread it all around and you, oh, we're going to spread the ball around.
And then you come third, late third, fourth quarter.
Hey, what you got, Ocho?
I ain't got nothing.
But I had a lot in the first half.
I ain't got nothing now.
Hey, that's one of the worst feelings.
You're going to tell me, I know.
I don't think people understand.
You're going to a game playing.
You practice Wednesday.
You practice Thursday.
You practice Friday.
You look at the, you look at the first team scripted plays, you know, going to the game.
You feel it back to self, okay, I got a chance to get the ball here.
Yeah.
Okay, oh, I like this play here.
I'm glad we got this dialed up.
You get into the game.
you're well into the third quarter,
you can't touch the ball yet.
Like, I mean, hello?
If I'm not mistaken, Malik Navis to catch the ball
to the third, fourth quarter?
Four. I faked the fourth.
Like, come on.
He had to run the Boston Marathon.
Hey, got some great cardio.
I don't need to come in.
I don't need to come in on Monday run to sort of out.
I got my sword this out.
And that's the thing, Ocho.
Then you come out late third quarter.
Hey, keep your head in the game.
Man, I'm thinking about what I'm going to order the night for dinner.
Man, you talk about this.
game, man. Y'all done bulljave me all day.
And now y'all going to tell me, I keep my head
in the game. Man, I'm thinking about this
grilled chicken and rice from Black IP
these rolls
with honey butter. Man, I ain't,
man, I'm done with y'all.
Y'all doesn't try this bull job all day.
Ocho, we don't go Wednesday, Thursday.
Hey, it's my time
to take a break and the backups to come in,
Ocho. Hey, hey, 84, we want
this, hey, this is going to be your play.
Got me all geeked up.
man, I come and come suddenly
y'all pull this bull-jide, man, please.
Man, y'all better get out of my face
before I start cursing everybody.
Hey, hey, it's so funny
because I can envision it because I've been through it.
Yeah, yeah.
Oh, my goodness, man.
And then you just realized, like, hey, man, you know what?
It is, what it is.
It was the games that I did not, like,
the week of practice.
Yeah.
You know, I catch one or two balls in here,
like, okay, it's going to be one of those days.
Yeah.
And then that was the, that was the week.
that they turn it loose
and the week that they feed you all these balls
you tired and everything
you don't do nothing
yeah you don't you don't get any plays
but I think the thing is that
and sometimes you're the last to realize it
Kansas City realized that Kelsey is not the same
if you notice they throwing that ball
to Noah Gray an awful lot Ocho
yeah yeah they're throwing it to him an awful lot
and he's getting frustrated
And I understand it because he's like, I'm still eight, seven.
I'm still Kelsey on the back.
I'm still big time player.
But it's harder and harder.
And, you know, Mahomes, a lot of times it might be his play call,
but Mahon's getting flushed or getting pressure.
Yeah, most of the time.
And you know what might be happening too on that we can't see most of the time,
the plays that would normally be for Kelsey,
they might be putting Noah Gray in there.
They might be formations and having Noah Gray run.
those plays, understanding that, well, you know what?
It's time to weed him out.
It's time to beat him out little by little.
It's what they do to all the greats.
It's what they do to all the greats.
Think about Pugin the Ku Klux and Kuhu Kuhu K's last year in L.A.
Who got all the balls?
All of a sudden, all of a sudden, you go from a triple crown winner to now someone
new comes in.
Now they're putting him in all the positions in the balls you used to get.
It's the same thing going over there in KC.
you know, it just is he's lashing out about it
and he's getting frustrated about it.
Andy got,
Andy got frustrated because Andy bumped him.
And you see, you bumping back, huh?
And that ain't, that ain't, that ain't,
Andy.
The Big Red ain't normally like that.
Because you remember last time,
Red just took it age.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You were cheering.
But that just happened like, nah, nah, nah, nah,
nah, no.
Reyes and I ain't, I ain't going for this.
Nah, not the day.
But they needed, they needed this.
No, I, me, honestly,
I've never gotten into it.
You know, I've always tried to be mindful
knowing the cameras are on, no, Joe.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You know, if, excuse me,
if I got a problem with my position coach,
who was my officer coordinator,
Matt Kavanaugh was my offensive coordinator,
you know, hey, I'm going to see y'all on Monday.
Right.
I'll be up on Tuesday.
If I got a problem with something,
if I had a problem with the coach,
uh-uh, I'll handle it then.
But, no, not to cause no scene.
I tried, and I was really good
that of not causing a scene with my coaches on the sideline understanding who I was
and it was going to be, even if it was nothing, it was going to get blown up to be more than
actually what it was.
So let me just try to be, you know, discretion is the best part of vow and keep it down.
And then behind closed doors, I'll say, hey, bro, I need y'all X, Y, and Z.
But I've tried, you know, I tried to do that.
And when guys would get upset like, bro, hey, there's going to be a time and a place for all that.
Let's get behind closed doors.
And then we can have that, you can have that discussion
or we can have that discussion.
But everybody, but it's not always like that, Ocho.
Sometimes that's something that's spill,
just feels out.
You just got so frustrated enough, but it's bull, giant.
Now, have I thrown my helmet, absolutely.
Yeah.
Have I thrown my helmet before?
I've done it in the practice.
And on a Sunday on the sideline, I, I wouldn't do that.
And I've always had coaches.
I'm not, I'm not saying Hugh Jackson was like Mike Tomlin,
but I respected them so much.
Yeah, you can't.
I can't, uh, it just, it just wouldn't feel right.
You know what I mean?
Yep, I understand what you mean.
Uh, Ocho, yo.
We're going to talk about this a little later.
What, what, what, what?
What I know, Daniel Jones looking real, Indiana Jones looking good.
Hey, boy, but what did I, what I told you yesterday, uh, this reminds me, this reminds me,
Baker Mayfield in Cleveland
I'm gonna tell you again
Sam Donald in New York
not being in the right system
not having the right pieces around you
and all of a sudden get to a team
well god damn I could deal with this
okay this fits me
matter of fact they actually want me
on unfortunate circumstances
because they didn't believe in Anthony Richardson
but oh I'm in the right place now
now look at me
oh it's no problems
we Danny died he dissing he running
I mean, though, the coach looked good.
My surprise team this season was the Bears and the Panthers.
Well, the Bears and the Panthers won a day outside the first two weeks.
It looked abysmal.
But, hell, I'm going to put the Colts in that.
You should have.
I'm going to put the coach in a group of teams that are going to surprise people this year.
Because they go on crazy.
They look really good.
He got a good group around him.
They got a very decent offensive line.
I think the thing is, Ocho, New York, you and I both know,
never played in New York, but we understand the media, the scrutiny that comes along
with playing in New York. And he struggled early. And then he had that one season. He
gets the contract and he struggles again. And it's hard. I mean, it's hard. It's hard to be
hard of hearing. Right. And because they write what they write. Oh. And even if you don't see
it, somebody you know did see it. And they send it to you or they tell you about it. Yeah.
And it gets hard.
He's in Indy now.
Yeah.
And I think the biggest thing is, Ocho,
he doesn't have the expectations.
Where you're the, what, top,
what, top pick, and you go in in New York,
he was supposed to be the Savior.
Yeah.
And so when it doesn't happen,
hey, that's the wrong place they have to be the Savior in New York.
Yeah, for sure.
Hold on, with them tabloids,
with them newspapers.
With that fan base and the expectation,
that's the giant.
Man, please.
They've been playing football since the 20s.
Man, please.
They don't play.
Their expectations are very, very high.
Very high.
Then to be the quarterback, too,
to be quarterback number one in New York,
whether it's the Jets or the Giants,
Uncle, you got to have thick skin.
Yes.
Got to have very thick skin
and have everything going one ear
and out the other.
Eli Manning was really good at it.
Yes.
He was really, really good at it.
Okay, it was about time for us to have this discussion.
What, what?
Who happened?
Russ.
Oh.
You know it's coming.
Hold on.
You know it's coming, Ocho.
You know it's coming too.
Hold on, man.
Hold on, man.
Come on, man.
Let me,
hey, we talk about God's child,
now.
Hey.
Talk about God child.
Look like God like Jackson.
God might be favoring Jackson Dart more now.
No, I don't know.
But when you think about it,
Ocho, you know when they start putting that quarterback in there and giving them plays,
you know it's only a matter of time.
Hold on them.
They did that.
that week one now they did that week one too they had small packs it for him just to get just to get him
acclimated get him get him in have you seen their schedule it don't get no easier hey they got the
they got the eagles twice they got the bronco the charges the only game the only game that's part
that looks like it might be winnable right but it's on the road uh-huh there's the saints
well hold on wait a minute hold on they're going into a gauntlet of very difficult games they got
The Saints might be the only winnable game.
Would you want to make a switch to Jackson Darden,
put him under fire against the Sharks
you're getting ready to go against?
The Eagles defense?
Man, you know,
don't kill a key of confidence already.
This ain't the preseason no.
I understand that.
And you understand the way teams are going to dial up defenses
and you're with a rookie quarterback?
What's the first thing he going to do?
Oh, man, send the house at him.
Confusing.
Confusing.
the question is how long can he keep the natives at bay the fan base the team how long can he keep
him at bay ocho because you take you took this guy in the first round and everybody saw how well
he played in the preseason forget that it's not the regular season people don't care about that
they saw what he did in the preseason and so it offered them hope you oh cho you know you've been
not with, hey, sometimes, hey, you might not get a four-course meal,
but sometimes, you know, some bread and some water and some rice, do miracles.
There might not be no porterhouse.
It might not be no wagoo or no tomahawk.
Right, right, right.
It offers you something, some nourishment.
It offers you some hope.
Right, right, right.
Just Jackson Darre open, and I think you look at Russ numbers.
And I'm like, you go last week and you pray, you throw for the second most yards of your
career, 450 yards.
Yeah, yeah, they were cut. It was the bad
turnovers, though, Ocho. Yeah.
Yeah, that at the key every time.
Yes. Obviously,
that turnover towards the end of the game
that went high, I think he was trying
to throw the corner around to neighbors. Remember,
he got hit. He got hit.
So it still goes on, it still
is, as an interception by
him. But other factors, go
into those things.
I think, how many, how many
what you give them before they make a change? What you think?
Well, Ben, you had a bet over under eight.
I said it's going to be under eight.
You said it'll be over.
Yeah.
I'm sticking with my under.
I think they make a quarterback change.
Chad, I'd be interested in to know what you guys think.
But I definitely think it's going to be under eight weeks before they're going to make a change on you.
Damn, man.
Hold on.
I need my chapstick, but my lips feel like powder donuts.
It's going to be very interesting.
I think, you know, look.
the combination of Daniel Jones looking so good
and maybe that's an indictment chat,
maybe that's an indictment on Brian Dayball.
Maybe he's not the whisperer that we thought he was,
but he had such success.
What happened was that he went to Buffalo
and Buffalo has such success
and he had such success with Josh Allen.
Come to find out, Josh Allen was going to have success with anybody.
Because look at he wasn't the MVP
and his officer coordinator that he had success with
wasn't there. So that's not
to discredit that Brian Dayball because, yes,
he has a good offensive
mind. But for whatever
reason, it's not translating
Russ. And
Malik neighbors, like,
hold on, I had worst quarterbacks last
year and look at my numbers. Yeah.
Because that's what, as a receiver,
all I can go by is like, I don't care
what you did at Seattle,
at Denver, at Pittsburgh.
What are you doing here? Because look at my
numbers, what I had last year. Look at the quarterbacks.
I had a Tommy DeVito
and some of the guys that I had
and I had 112 catches.
Hold on, you got to understand too.
Also, you're a rookie.
You're a rookie.
So you're playing a 17-game season.
We don't care what you did at LSU.
The coordinates ain't for the respect.
You're going to have to prove yourself to us
before we give you the kind of attention you get now.
See, it's different now.
One of the thing, one of the testaments that makes a great receiver
is not what to do your rookie year.
It's being able to do what you do week in and week out when they know you're coming.
Well, you've arrived now.
Now you still got to be able to keep up that same work, that same production.
And give me the giant schedule, the next seven weeks, next eight weeks.
Give me just the next eight, nine weeks.
I think they got the charges next week.
I think they're on the road at the chargers.
That don't make it no better.
That don't make it no better.
But, uh, yeah.
You're definitely right on you.
They got their work cut out for them.
Yeah.
They got their work cut out for, um, you know, Philly.
They got Philly in a span twice in the span of a month.
Um, damn.
She puts it up.
Hold on.
Guys, I want to read your, uh, their schedule.
Oh, here it is.
Uh, the after charge.
They're at the Saints.
They're home against the Eagles, at the Broncos, at the Eagles.
So they got the Eagles, in a span of three weeks, they got the Eagles.
So here's their schedule.
Chargers, Saints, Eagles, Broncos, Eagles, Niners, Bears, Packers, Lions.
Ooh.
Man, who the hell gave them that schedule?
I'm not talking about the division games.
I'm talking about outside of that.
Hey.
That's bad to work.
For show.
Woo.
That's a.
And so next five.
So the Chargers, Saints, Eagles, Broncos, Eagles.
That's the next five weeks, Ocho.
Mm.
They probably, listen, I give them, they could beat the Saints
and they could beat the Broncos.
So I give them two games out of that LaGonnet right now.
Yeah.
Hey, this is Matt Jones.
I'm Drew Franklin.

Did you see the Colts pretzel?
That was my other big takeaway from that game.
What was that?
Looks like something that should not be sold.
Oh, my.
So that was my other big Colts takeaway.
They sold that?
Yes.
Might want to go back to the...
At the Colts Stadium.
Yeah, I might want to go back to the drawing board on that.
Yeah.

I'm Simone Boyce, host of the Brightside podcast, and on this week's episode, I'm talking to
Olympian, World Cup champion, and podcast host, Ashlyn Harris.
My worth is not wrapped up in how many things I've won, because what I came to realize
is I valued winning so much that once it was over, I got the blues, and I was like,
This is it.
For me, it's the pursuit of greatness.
It's the journey.
It's the people.
It's the failures.
It's the heartache.

Okay, okay, beat the Broncos and beat the Chargers.
I'm just saying.
I'm just saying.
I'm just saying.
The Eagles beat the Rams by the score of 3326,
the last time the Eagles blocked two field goals
in a single game, September 21st,
1975 against the Giants.
50 years to the day,
history repeated itself,
though this time it was a walk-off winner.
Los Angeles looked to be like world beaters
through the first half, Ocho.
The Eagles managed just 33 yards,
including negative one passing in the first half,
the lowest output since 2015.
However, the Eagles roared back
scoring 26 unanswered points.
And in the end, the Eagles,
managed to pass for more than 200 yards.
The Rams are 196.
I think the Rams only had 33 yards in the second half.
The Rams fell apart in the game,
and the week's second day was a big reason why.
This is what the Eagles are going to have to do, Ocho.
Teams are not going to let Sequan beat him.
They're not going to let's say Kuan beat him.
Okay, go ahead.
Go ahead.
No, go ahead.
I want to hear what you want to say.
I was so excited.
I was so excited watching.
in this too. At the half, everybody
is talking about, oh,
he got negative, whatever it may be, he might have been
four for eight for 17 yards.
My tweet at 218,
218 at the half was
Jalen Hurst would be able to prove himself
with this arm, this game,
and that makes me happy
so he can quiet the doubters.
Being behind at the half can be a good
thing. And I knew
Petula would have to come out, stop
running the ball, stop playing
safe because you're able to lean on the run,
to be able to throw when you want to
because Jalen Hurst can do what you ask of him
when need be, and I knew
in the second half, they didn't have a choice
but to put the ball in the air.
Correct. Jaylen Hurst can do that. The same
what they did against the Chiefs. The Chief says,
Spaggs say, we not letting
Saquan beat us to the Super Bowl.
What did Jalen Hurst do, huh?
Went to us what?
He threw it. He threw it. He threw it.
He threw it. So people
thinking I'm Notre Dameus,
so I'm this damn prophet because of what I said,
because they were down 19 or whatever they was down to have.
But I knew it was going to happen.
The defense is already good enough.
The defense is already good enough.
All they have to do, and Petula have to call plays for AJ goddamn Hercules Brown
and Devante, small man, Smitty.
And you're going to be all right.
Just get them the ball.
It's not that hard.
It's not that hard.
It's simple.
Hearst was 21 of 32, 22, 26, three touchdown.
no interceptions. Sequan was 18 rushes,
46 yards, but it was A.J. Brown in the second half,
he had six catches for a buckle nine and a touchdown on 10 target.
Devante Smith had eight for 60 and a touchdown.
I have a question, John?
Yeah, go ahead.
How come, and it's so funny,
and in the second half, I came back and I followed up on a tweet and said,
listen, I told y'all what Jenna Hirsch was going to do.
But Tula called a great second half,
and then all the people was, all the Eagles fan,
man, Petula ain't called nothing.
Jalen Hurts was calling them plays.
I mean, listen, give the officer coordinator credit.
Give him credit.
Y'all don't like his play calling.
He didn't like it this week.
You didn't like it the week before.
But they continued to win the games.
That was his play calling.
I think now he can trust Jalen Hertz
to be able to do something a little different
outside of what they normally do.
Matter of fact, open up the goddamn game with the past.
Why can't you play the second half in the first,
like you did the second half in the first half?
Or why not play like that all four quarters?
it'd be interesting
you know you ask yourself like why we don't do that
sometimes you're in desperation
and when you're desperate you you know
you resort and then you throw the ball
and you get the ball to your best players
they should always try to get the ball
to A.J. Brown and Devonte Smith
but for whatever reason
hey they're hardheaded they're going to run the football
and do all this other stuff
and then when the rubber needs to meet the road
you got two playmakers
and you know what let's go ahead and put the ball
in our playmaker's hands
and they did that today and it was it was
it was beneficial.
Devante Adams would love to have one of those balls back.
He had Blankenship beat again for a touchdown
and he let it slide through.
And, you know, it got blocked.
And the kicker, you kicked it low the first time,
they blocked it. You kicked it low again and they blocked it again.
I don't know if he kicked it low,
but he got so much push.
I was like, damn, I was like, damn there in his lap.
You also, uncle, you got a thing.
Depending on how far back they were for the kick,
they got the choice but they hit it low.
Could you hit a high?
You're not going to get the distance.
But the thing is, I don't think it was but like a 40-something yard kick.
It might have been 45 yards.
With the kicker leg today, Ocho, that should be a, that's a chip shot.
You remember back in the day, it's 25 yards.
That's a chip shot.
40 to 45 yards, that's a chip shot field goal.
Because the guys now, they're driving this ball.
I mean, they're kicking the ball.
I mean, most kickers are good from about 50, at least 54.
Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
I got a question, too, on that special teams.
The people that's hopping over the guard and the tackle,
as long as they don't touch the guard to tackle
or impede them.
Long you don't get leverage.
If you jump up, if you leave your feet,
you can't brace off him
or you can't land on it.
Okay, okay, okay, okay.
Well, honestly, all you got to do
is put a small guy there.
All you got to put somebody small
that's athletic,
and they can get to the goddamn fear
go damn there every time.
Well, what they did is they looked like
they lined the two Georgia boys up next to each other
and they just rooted the guard up out of there.
They drove him back.
And George Davis got his hands up
he blocked it. It's rare that you see
the guy that block it
that lets you know just how much
penetration he got. Because not only
did he block it, he scooped it up
and ran it back. Not only the guy that blocks
it, though, Cho, is one of the wings
of somebody like that that's coming around the edge.
He got so much penetration,
not only did he block it,
he scooped and scored. And he was running too.
Yeah, oh, he were moving, wasn't he?
Hey, they ran almost 19 miles an hour.
But Jordan Davis is about, what, 300 pounds, ain't he?
No, he probably.
probably about 3, probably about 320, 325.
Because, you know, at one point in time at Georgia,
but he lost weight because he knows in order for him to make the money
that he wants to make, he can't be,
he just can't be a one down, two down player first or second.
Now he's turned himself into a three-down player.
Now he, they leave his ass in there on third down.
He can collapse the pocket.
He can sack the quarterback.
Now he's like, hey, Eagle, y'all are going to pay me
or somebody going to pay me because I want some big bucks and no whammy's.
Right.
I love to see that for the young man
because he's still a huge man.
Yeah.
But now he's turned himself,
he's got himself in condition
that he can play more than 20, 30 snaps a game.
You can see,
now you see the difference here.
And if I'm big dads,
because, you know,
reports are the Tampa Bay is thinking about bringing dads back.
Wait, I thought he came back.
Well, he might be.
I was reading that he might be.
He came back.
But if I, if I,
If I'm dead, I reach out to Jordan Davis and say, man, what you do, man?
Right.
Because, man, you lost like 40, 50 pounds.
Man, what you do?
Mm-hmm.
How you do that?
Yeah.
Because Jordan Davis said, you know what?
I just don't want to be a two-down player.
And two-down players don't make as much money as three-down players.
Right.
And I want to make as much money as I possibly can.
I'm in a great situation, and I want to get paid.
And the young man is playing his ass off.
He's rushing the passes.
We know he can stop the run.
Yeah.
He's a mountain of it.
He's a mammoth of a month.
man and but now he's turned himself into a three-down player oh joe the sky's the limit but the
eagles scored 26 unanswered point and they come back and win the ball game by the what uh 29 20s oh
27 26 yeah yeah listen uh that's what the top five quarterback does that's the top five quarterback does
that stats stats are cool numbers are cool it looks good but with like like unks say when the rubber
when the rubber meets the road
and you need something done
like coming back
like Batulah and Jalen Jaila Hirsch just did
in that second half? Yeah. That's what the
top five quarterback does.
Oh, Joe, I'm just saying. You see what happened on the
tush push? The guard left
early again. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
They got to get their timing together.
They got to get their timing together. They got to get their
official's got to call it.
Oh, oh, they didn't
call it today? No, they didn't.
And the guard was clearly gone.
Oh, I was listening with no sound.
It wasn't no sound where I was at.
Yeah, yes.
Because the guard, the guard is moving early.
Yeah.
And that's, I mean, it's already an advantage because you get the aid to runner.
But in that situation like that, I think, I think they're going to end up,
they're going to end up banning it.
The push?
Yep.
And I don't think it has, I don't think it has anything to do.
with, you know, being, the risk for injury goes up.
Hell, the risk for injuries there on every damn play.
If you're off as a defensive lineman,
because that's all y'all do is bang.
Y'all don't, we get to take a play off.
Hell, if it's a run the other way, we can run off
or we can just pretend like we try to cut you off.
Hey, well, you're an offensive, defensive,
lineman, you bang every damn play.
Yeah, pause.
Oh, Joe.
A week after the Giants, Russell Wilson threw for four,
150 yards and three scores.
Caleb Williams lit up the Cowboys secondary for four TDs.
Five touchdown passes against Dallas has allowed of 25 yards or more leads the NFL.
Caleb Williams is the first player with 225 plus passing yards and three or more
passing touchdowns in any half this season.
Jerry Jones still believes the Cowboys are a playoff caliber team despite the one and two
start.
Okay, they can't get to the quarterback.
I told you.
I told you back.
Caleb Williams. All y'all that was talking trash about him, I told you, give him some time.
Give him some time. It's your tool. Ben Johnson just got there.
A lot of creativity set in. It's like your first date, uncle. When you're going your first date,
you got to get to know each other. You got to find out what each other like. I got to understand
what you can and what you can't do. Okay, you like this. Okay, this works. Okay.
Okay, you want me to open the card up for you?
Okay, but when you want me to order first,
okay, I'm going to wait till your food get here.
Like all the little small things, all the little tiny nuances, huh?
And then when it all come together, it starts to mess.
It's a beautiful thing.
It's a beautiful thing.
Because today, it was a beautiful thing, huh?
Every trick play work damn near.
The running game work.
Kailin Williams was accurate.
He was sharp.
Eyes down the field the whole time.
I mean, it was beautiful.
And most people would say, oh, relax.
They was playing the Cowboys.
Oh, relax.
They was playing the Cowboys.
Hey, well, that's Jerry's fault.
He let one of the best pass rush,
if not the best pass rush,
or go, and said his team got better.
He said his defense got better.
Well, based on what we saw today,
I think that might have been a lie.
C.D. Lamb, I hope you okay, boy.
Yeah, I do that with that.
It looked like a high ankle spring
because I've had my role like that inside.
That thing hurt.
That thing hurt.
Caleb Williams was 19 to 28, 2.98, four touchdowns.
Unbelievable.
Luther Burton, the third, three catches, 101, one touchdown.
Roma Dunzee, three for 62, touchdown.
DJ Moore, four for 21, a touchdown.
But as a cowboy, y'all not going to win the game with four turnovers?
Who y'all think y'all going to beat with Dak, throwing two picks,
Milton throwing a pick, and then Javante, we have had.
had the guy just take the ball out of his hand from behind.
Hey, that was a good play, too, though.
Hell of a play. Hell of a play.
Hell of a play. It was, it absolutely was, oh,
that was a really good play.
It might be a long seat for the Cowboys.
Yeah, I mean, I could have told you that.
I could have told you that when the man
want to be in the goddamn front of the camera all the goddamn time.
They better hope, coach, let the players play.
They better hope CD come back soon.
They better go see them.
They'll be in a go see he come back ASAP.
A little high ankle sprain.
He may be out for a week, maybe a week.
I mean, if that.
Because the thing is on your bad.
Look, you're a receiver, bro.
You got to be full speed.
You can't be hobbling.
No, at all.
You can't.
Especially he'll slot.
So you've got to be able to plant, stop, cut, change the direction.
You've got to be able to do all that.
And that's his bread and butter.
That's his bread and butter too, huh?
Yeah.
Yep.
Being able to get the ball.
and react, change directions,
a ladder movement, all that.
So, I mean, I give maybe a week.
I think he didn't miss a week at most.
And guess what happened today?
What?
They kept Caleb Williams clean.
He didn't get sacked.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Now, here's the guy that got sacked six-day time.
He had got sacked.
If I'm not mistaken, he had got sacked,
the second or third most times of any,
the second or third most sacks in the season by a quarterback.
Yeah.
And look at the team, look at he had gotten sacked this year.
Cowboys getting to get him.
Yeah.
I mean, I wonder why.
I think the one person who could have got sacks a day,
I think he had Green Bay, if I'm not mistaken.
But let the owner tell it, he said they got better.
I mean, those were his words.
Nobody believe that.
You don't let your best players go and get better.
Now, eventually, but no, it's going to take some time,
it's going to take some time because you have got to be able.
able to put pressure on the quarterback because everybody can put pressure on your
quarterback so the cowboys hey the eagle they got the eagles again they got the commanders
the giants played them tough but they do you know it's interesting to see what their
schedule is going to look like the rest of the season yeah because ain't nobody really
ain't nobody trying to hear that hey hey missed the playoffs again yeah it's it man it's only
in week three, nine.
I know.
We got a long way to go.
We got a long way to go.
After Joe Burrow went down last week with a
show, come on, man, come on, man.
You're going to stay that for the end of the show.
The Bengals insisted they wouldn't panic.
They believe Jake Browning could run their offense.
Well, Bingles might need to call Falcons by the old
first cousin.
Now, the Falcons say, no, we have to,
what we saw today in Carolina, we're going to hold on
the first cousin. We might make, hey, we might
make him a permanent.
member of the family.
Yeah.

Talk to me.
Y'all got the doves blowing up, y'all.
Hey, we got, hey, built the ass, huh?
Hey, listen.
Put the ass.
Hey, belt the ass.
I could be honest.
I could be honest.
I know I got a lot of Vikings fans in here.
You know, I showed you love today.
I talked a little trash.
I talked a little trash.
Somebody tweeted out,
give me one team that's guaranteed to lose a day.
Guess who I tweeted out?
The Vikings?
Hmm.
So, listen.
I thought we was going to win
I was feeling good
I felt good I personally felt good
about Jake Browning being able to lead
a Bengals to victory today
obviously things didn't go the way I'd expected them
they didn't go the way I expected them
interceptions
fumbles and
and before I even go into the game
before I even go to the game
goddamn Isaiah Rogers
Isaiah Rogers
defensive player the week
hey boy you defense the player the month
because I don't think nobody else
going to pull none of that off what I saw today, boy.
You was all over the place, boy.
You was all over the place.
But you need to change the number to the number from two to one.
Pick six.
Because you had four.
He had three fours, three fourths turnover.
Two touchdowns.
Hey, um, boy, Isaiah Rogers, boy, I salute you, boy,
you was the real deal of the day, boy.
Oh, madden, I got you.
I'm going to take care of you.
I'm going to take care of you.
And obviously, listen,
The better backup quarterback played well at the day on.
He played with, obviously having turnovers didn't help, didn't help us either.
But, I mean, they worked us up on, fair and square.
Five turnover y'all had, Ocho.
Huh?
Y'all have five turnovers.
Yeah, I ain't making no excuses, I ain't making no excuses.
I can't.
I can't.
Wins was 14 to 20 with two touchdowns.
Jordan Mason had 16 rushes, 116 yards, and two touchdowns.
Yeah.
T.J. Hawkinson had a touchdown.
Josh Oliver had a touchdown.
Justin had five for 75.
Okay, okay, okay.
What we had?
What my receivers had?
What Chase had, uh, and T had?
Chase had five for 50.
Okay, okay.
He had one for 15.
Okay, okay.
Sometimes you have games like this.
Sometimes you have games like this.
My grandma always told me it would be days like this.
Sometimes the rabbit got the gun.
Sometimes you got the gun.
today the Vikings
put belt ass
but we'll see you again
I'm not going to say
we lost because Joe Burrow is out
injuries are a part of the game
it's a part of football
next man up
we got whipped today
back to the drawing board
who we got next week Ash
who we got next week
the 34 three half time deficit
tied for the largest
in Bengals history
Cincinnati was down 31 nothing
to the Lions in 1970
they became a
team, ladies and gentlemen, in 1968.
Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute.
There's no, it's not necessary to bring that up.
It's not necessary to bring that up.
Yeah, we got to let them know how you let them know how y'all stunk it up today.
That's not necessary.
That's not necessary at all.
It ain't looking good for y'all.
All I know, Gerald, Joe.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Hold on.
Who we got next?
Who we got next?
Broncos.
Wait, who got the Broncos next?
Y'all do.
What are you playing at?
in Denver.
Oh, shit.
Damn.
See, I own the...
Is that a Sunday night game?
What game is that?
Is that a national televised game?
Because I want everybody to see us put puts in them.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down.
Listen, they don't write a check
that they ain't going to be able to care
because you ain't going to be on that.
Well, you ain't wrote a check in a while.
As a matter of fact, that's the problem right now.
You ain't wrote me my check.
Hey, listen to me.
Listen to me.
It's Monday Night Football.
It might be a trap game, huh?
It might be a trap game.
Don't get too excited, man.
We got y'all trap.
That's Monday night football, Ocho.
Hey, don't.
No, it ain't because the Jets play the Dolphins.
Monday night football.
Bangles at the Bronco next week.
How is that possible?
And the Dolphins play the Jets.
I know I'm not tripping.
The Dolphins play the Jets Monday.
Huh?
No, they don't.
Yes, they do.
Ong, I'm telling you.
Hey, tell ass, look at the schedule.
I'm looking at the schedule.
Y'all in trouble.
Oh, it's a double-header?
Yep.
Oh, man.
I might, you know what?
I'm not even for to say nothing.
I'm not for to say nothing because I'm not.
Yeah, I'm not in the position to say nothing.
I'm not.
Y'all got a atomic bomb dropped on y'all,
and you're going to talk about I ain't going to say nothing.
What can you say?
Y'all, they had y'all down.
They got fuck.
They should have either put it.
a 50 piece on y'all yeah i had a chance to put a 50 piece they did they did but you got to understand
what but i'm not making no excuses we got it we got to ask what and that's all and guess what
we're going to do that to you we're going to go out and put that 50 piece on you hold on hold on hold on
hold on hold on hold on be careful don't do that don't do that we're going to sprinkle you
but listen jake jake browning jake browning he got his feet wet he'd been out there in a minute
he got his feet wet now just because we lost and they they put up 40 some orders a day don't
me and the Denver Broncon who do it
because y'all just got,
didn't y'all get Maliwop today by the charges?
No, we got, yeah, walk off your field goal.
Didn't y'all get Maliwap?
If your team lost today,
you shouldn't be able to say foot or ball
while you hit sitting here talking about my bangles
and y'all lost who?
Oh, Joe.
You lost two.
48?
48?
Hey, um,
whether it's 48.
Hold on time, time out of time.
Whether it's 48 or whether it's three.
The L is an L.
You lost.
All L of A, they created equal.
Hey, matter of fact, oh, it's created equal.
It's great.
And y'all lost to walk it to them.
Hey, do me in favor.
Don't say any, don't say foot or ball the rest of the night.
And guess what?
Y'all better catch another air.
You won't, you won't bet none on it.
You won't put nothing on it.
I mean, I'm looking at this car.
I was like, damn.
All right, all right.
Okay.
I'm like, what kind of?
Hold on.
We know, we know why we lost by that.
much.
We don't know, we don't.
No, I'm not going to say it because that'll make
excuses, but we know why we lost.
The Minnesota Vikings were the better team.
Okay.
Isaiah Rogers won
that game.
Turning the ball over.
They had points.
Y'all played defense.
Y'all didn't have to let them score.
Okay.
They got, okay, they got 14, they got 12, they got
14 points.
What did they get their other 34 for them?
Isaiah Rogers?
No, no, no, no, no, no.
Isaiah Rogers gave him 14
where they get the other 34th floor.
Listen, Isaiah Rogers was playing so well
I mean, he boosted the team morale.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
I'm just a lot of things you got with Jake.
Isaiah Rogers won the game.
That's all I got to say.
He's all I want to talk about.
I just want to talk about him because he just,
he won the game.
Last time I heard somebody say,
Jake, so many times there I was watching training day,
Jake!
Jake!
I will get that money.
Jake
I'm so mad
with Lazo
Lazo with what you call
shout him in his butt
Yeah
Oh yeah, yeah
That's a classic boy
Yeah
Oh yeah y'all in trouble
No no we're gonna be fine
We're gonna be fine I guarantee you're fine next week
You know what I don't like on?
This is the one thing I do
hate, I'm going to be serious right now, is obviously the playbook, it shrinks significantly
when you go from Joe Burrow to Jake Browning, because there are things that Joe Burrow is
great at. There's a reason why he's, you know, top five quarterbacks in NFL, and you go to your
backup quarterback, and there's certain things that Joe can do, that Jake can. And I think
it's very stressful for Zach Taylor as well, because you can't call the same play that you would
for Joe Burrow with Jake Browning.
And it limits, it limits, you know, the play calling.
And I hate that for us.
I hate that for us offensively.
I hate that for us as fans.
And what I think, what I think Zach should do is we should throw the whole kitchen sink
at Jake Browning.
Just pretend like you, Joe, and run the same goddamn plays.
Same offense.
Just, just put it on the plate.
We ain't got nothing to lose.
What's that?
me oh joe but that that's you chat y'all heard this man say he's not going to make excuses
and what did he do he just turned around and say two minutes of making excuses man you know the
playbook shrink the playbook shrink oh well you know that you know that you know that you know that
no i'm just i'm just giving the people that's listening i'm giving them insight to to one of the
reasons why we looked the way we did that's all i i i
I gave the Vikings credit.
I gave the Viking credit.
Carson wins, hell of a job.
You know, I'm back to Isaiah.
That's why they won the game.
Hey, somebody tweet Isaiah Roddy telling me.
What'd that say?
What'd I say?
Play like a Raven.
Now, I wonder if I, how could you get one of these?
Hey, you know, I don't like that.
I don't, I don't like that.
What don't you like?
The fact that you continue to talk about the Ravens,
that's like basically bragging about having a one-night stand.
Hey.
Hey, you, you was, yeah, you was in and out.
Now, the only team that you can talk about.
Leave me alone.
I ain't bother nobody.
But you bought something, you bought something,
you bought something, talking about Ravens, like,
Ravens, like, that makes no sense.
You are a Bronco.
You're a Bronco.
Everything, anytime you talk.
You know with your chest out
It should be about the Broncos
That's it
Oh
What's that
What's that?
That's it getting the bagels
It's your lips
It's what uniform I got on
Oh
I mean I won now
What
Hey you look
I'm trying to think
Who that is
Don't worry about it
He had to smell the odor of
referee raised his arm
that's all I know
hey it's all good
it is all good
I don't know why
you try to diminish me
and the Ravens
time out time out time out
why are you even bringing up
anything Ravens related anyway
and they don't play to tomorrow
that's me
at the press conference
Jordan of the Ravens
I'm trying to
why are you trying to deflect
the Broncos got
belt to ass tonight.
The Broncos lost, huh?
The Broncos lost to the charges.
What happened?
Let's talk about Bo Necks.
Let's talk about Sean Payton.
We talk about El Jack and Derek Henry.
They don't play till tomorrow.
And Veit Flowers and Rashad Bateman.
Oh, so you don't want to talk about your Broncos losing, huh?
All I know is, I tell you what, we won't lose next week.
Bet that.
Oh, you said bet.
How much you want to bet?
Hey, Ocho, let me ask your question.
What's up?
You keep going to talk about Jake.
Did y'all have your backup defense into?
No, that was our starting defense.
What?
It gave up 48?
Hold on.
Well, they was tired because they had to keep coming on the goddamn field
because we kept turning the goddamn ball over.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
So I guess, Henderson.
They couldn't even get no rest.
We turned the ball over 37 times.
What'd you think going to happen?
Hey.
Hey, joy, can you get me some vizine?
I need to get this care out my eye.
Somebody will put care in my eyes.
So I don't know what you want to be to, won't you?
I don't know how to impact to me.
I'm just saying, I'm not tripping.
The Vikings played a hell of a game today.
The Vikings had a hell of a plan.
Guess who didn't play a hell of a game today?
Your bangles.
Broncos
The bangles
Broncos
Because they got an L
We have a L
We got them
Hey
Whether they lost by
43, 48 or 3
It's still going down
As an L
No matter how you
You try to splice it
And make it
We'll get back
In the wind column next week
You won't bet none
We get back in the wind column next week
Little temporary setback
Ojo to Cleveland Browns
defeated the Green Bay Packers
about a score 13-10 on a 55-yard walk-off field goal.
Three-quarters, both teams average just three and a half yards per play.
Things got wild in the fourth.
The Browns eventually forced the first turnover of the season on the Grand Delper interception.
Shelby Harris, the former Bronco, blocked the field goal.
He's good for that.
And the final 25 seconds, somehow the Browns ended up scoring the game's final 13 points.
Cleveland's offense was dreadful so far this season.
and it remains painful to watch,
averaging 3.9 yards per play,
four of 13 on third down.
Micah, after the game says,
sometimes like today,
you just poop the bed.
That's just the reality of it, Ocho.
It happens to the best teams.
Even the Super Bowl champs make mistakes,
and they pay for it early.
You go back to the history of the champions
who played, they played games like they should have won.
It's just that competitive.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, Joe?
Hey, it was a great game, a great day of defense.
If you like football and you're not going to get fireworks
and you like defense to play, that's what you got to think from both sides of the ball.
It all will come down to the last, the team that made the fewest mistakes
was winning this game.
Yep.
The team that made the fewest mistakes was winning that game.
Every time I'm on the show, I always praise Cleveland defense.
They're good.
They're legit.
Yeah, if you watch the game today against the Green Bay Packers,
now you see why I always praise the Cleveland defense.
And, you know, everybody else would like,
ah, the browns suck, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Yeah, they may be bad, but their identity is their defense
and they're very, very good.
And the defense keeps them in the game.
Yeah, absolutely.
Absolutely.
So, I mean, it's a good game today, a little sloppy,
defense the game, and that turnover, that turnover.
All turnovers aren't created equal.
Yeah.
Time, when you turn the ball over,
It's more important.
That is the most important thing.
He throws that interception in the first quarter,
first half.
We're probably third quarter.
We're not even having a discussion, Ocho.
Because Green Bay probably goes on and win the game.
But when he turned that foot fall over,
you're asking for it.
And you leave a team that you probably should have put away earlier.
Right.
You leave them around.
You let them just hang around, Ocho, keep hanging around.
Hey, don't keep hanging around to have you.
You feed him pretty soon.
you know what he's going to feel sorry for him sooner later he'll throw me a scrap or two out of here
you know he ain't going to just let me just keep coming here and see me green bay y'all just let
him hang around and hang around and say you know what he'll miss right and tosses one in the rick
hey i'm sure the decourt is hey y'all keep doing what you do keep playing he'll give us one
he'll give us one and lo and behold that's what happened and you can't play with fire like
i said these teams you better go ahead and put them away rams you saw that first hand you
better go ahead put these teams away.
Yeah.
Because if you don't, you're asking for trouble.
And that's what happened today.
Cleveland won a game.
They probably should have lost.
But,
and Michael's right,
but you guys
with that offense,
y'all supposed to, they doubt
I know they turn it over, but they ain't supposed to get nothing.
They ain't really got,
they ain't got nothing, no, Joe. Not offensively.
Oh, no, no. No, they don't.
they don't they don't but that just that's it listen the green bay packers have a very explosive
offense on erin jones is out but obviously the receivers that they have joy love phenomenal
quarterback um not in the not in the top five conversation but he is he is in that tier of the better
quarterbacks in the NFL with a group of great receivers um this is the testament to just how good
brother Newsom, brother
Denzel Ward, and everybody else
not only on the back end
but the front end as well.
Led by Miles Garrett.
They're boys playing some ball and that's the only
reason they're going to be in games
all season long. Just not the game
today against the goddamn Green Bay Packers.
They have a chance
every single week no matter
who they're playing.
Friend of the show, Rishaw and Gary,
might be on his way to his first double-digit sacks.
season. That's what he told us. He wanted to get double-digit sack.
He sacked Blacko twice on Sunday, bringing his three games total, three
game total to four and a half. No doubt the presence of Michael Parsons is absolutely
help because now they're sending the double to him and he's getting one-on-one and he's
eaten. Now eventually he'll get this eight, nine probably and probably would like seven,
eight games to go and now they're going to start sliding protection to him and then Michael
Parsons will start eating. That's the way it works. You want two guys that can go
pin the pressure. Right now they, hey, right now Mike,
uh, uh, uh, Rishon Gary's eating. But Mike, hey, just, just, just keep, just keep
plugging away. Your time coming. Your time coming. Uh, Van Ness, they,
look, they got a good team. But it's games like this, you're like,
well, damn, what is it about your? Because it's the turnovers,
Ocho. He always have that one. Yeah. He always have that game
that he has that one turnover that you're like, bro, if you could just
eliminate that, you'll be fine. Yeah.
Yeah, they could really be on to something, but I think we just, you know, give Cleveland credit.
Yeah.
That defense is going to keep in a lot of games.
Now, you can't keep turning the ball over like they did against Baltimore because Baltimore run away from you.
But look, Baltimore's offense for me is a little bit more high power than Green Bay.
Lamar is a different animal, even though Derek Henry didn't run.
the football like he normally runs the football, but Lamar can throw it.
And I was surprised, but you know, you can see the way this game was trending,
I said, you know what Green Bay, y'all going to miss right around and let Cleveland hang around
and it will nip you at the wire.
Watch what I tell you.
And lo and behold, that's exactly what happened.
But, uh, look, Minnesota kept pace what,
Minnesota is two and one.
Green Bay is two and one.
We'll see what happens with
Detroit, because they play
Baltimore, which is not going to be no easy victory.
And just like that.
Pittsburgh is in the NFL
North. They're two and one.
Baltimore's trying to stay pace because
they didn't worry about Cincinnati. Cincinnati
in the fall, like Lucifer from the heavens.
Never to rise again.
That's how you feel.
Bill. Yep. I'm feeling like that, don't you? I'm sorry. I wish you're something I can tell you.
Hey, one thing about it. I've seen the team make a fool of us all because we count certain
people out. Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Now, you keep talking about the Broncos and
the Bengals, they, they look bad today because they, you know, we lost. Your team look bad.
Why are you worried about my team? I'm just because we play your team. So we got two teams that
look bad. We got to play each other Monday. Ten points. Y'all scored 10 points.
all right
we turn the ball over 10 times
mm-hmm
gonna turn it over some more too
now we'll bet
well hey tell pat 13 too
make sure you bring an extra set of
y'all y'all already know what y'all already know
with PS2 that man got defensive cleats and roby
roby last time you played
never mind don't worry about it I ain't talk no trash
you should
I mean
18 or 20
25, 183, passing yards for Jordan Love.
They had 31 rushes for 81 yards.
I mean, Josh Jacobs had 16 carries for 30 yards, don't you?
Yeah.
Hey, listen, Derek Kimry wasn't able to really, really run well on that defense.
Josh Jacobs wasn't going to run well on that defense.
No.
Nope.
Uh, Joe Flacko was 21 to 36, 142, no touchdowns.
One of the exceptions was sacked twice.
When Sean Jutkins, uh, had, uh, 94 yards.
They got his first touchdown today.
Yep, uh, on 18 carrots.
So, but they played well.
They just, hey, they hung around and hung around and hung around and hung around.
And they got an opportunity to nip them at the end.
I mean, you know, hey, give, uh, give them credit.
Give them credit.
They, you know, they lost the first game, got blown out the second game.
But like I said, those fans, those fans going to show up and those fans are going to cheer them on.
Keep the energy in the building.
But this was Green Bay, y'all go, you know, you might look back on.
Because when you don't make the playoff, there's always, you always go back and play, like, this game right here.
We bulljohn the round, had this team dead the right, and we had an opportunity to put them
away and we didn't and so that's that's the frustrating part because i'm sure
Cincinnati did that last year ocho because you know lost to washington lost to the other
Patriots yeah losing to Washington come to find out wasn't a bad thing because they got
all the way to the championship game but losing to the Patriots that was just downright
awful yeah they messed us up and uh and and you know green bay you might be in a situation
the NFC is going to be very competitive you know i think the rams are going to be there
when it's all said done the 49
You know, they got Robert Sala back on that defense.
They're doing a great job.
You know, they get, some of these guys going to come back going to get healthy.
Yeah.
You know, I don't know when Brandon Nau is going to come back,
but he's coming back.
Kittle, he'll be back.
Pierce-all is playing really well.
He's doing an unbelievable job.
And, you know, Kyle's going to be able to dial it up.
And so obviously the Eagles are going to be right there when it's all said done.
We all believe Detroit's going to be there when it's all saying done.
So this, the NFC, you're going to look back in like,
damn game here or there might cost you a chance of a home game because that's what
in playoffs you really you really want that home game but I think you got to give a lot of credit
to the Cleveland Browns because that defense was sensational today they got it they got after
Jordan Love they made him very uncomfortable from the very first snap and and so you know
I don't want to beat the packers up too bad but
Hey, Cleveland, that Miles Garrett, man.
And it's so funny, no matter who they plan to do the same thing every time.
We're going to rely on our front four to apply pressure,
pin your ears back and get to the quarterback,
and we plan man and man in your face on the outside.
Because I believe in our two corners out there to be able to lock you up
and they play ball just like that.
They do.
They get after you.
they get after you, they get after you
and give them credit
and they get in the wind column
thanks to a block kick
and then a 55-yard walk-off.
I say it something, 55-yard walk-up.
Like I said, Ocho, these guys got legs now.
It used to be, you know, hey,
the charges beat the Broncos 2320
after the Broncos let the lead slip away again.
Oh, why are you talking so fast?
Slow down.
We got a lot of stuff talking about.
Let the people hear what you're talking about.
Let the people hear.
Here, who lost again?
The Broncos lost 23-20 after they let Lee slip away
just like they did against the Colts and the Chargers
and both teams walked it off.
The Broncos have the next three games on the road.
The Chargers not have three AFC West wins.
Damn, that is right.
Because they've beaten the Raiders,
they've beaten the Chiefs, and now they've beaten the Broncos.
So, hey, you know, we got some work to do.
Who is we?
Broncos.
Oh, but you were just talking about the Ravens.
So now you, I got two teams.
You got two teams, the Patriots and the Charles and the Bengals.
No, I don't.
I got the Bengals and the Dolphins.
And we ain't talked about the Dolphins right now.
No, you ain't played with the Dolph, you play for the Patriots.
This is the first time that they have a two-game lead
atop the L.C. West, the end of 2009, when they went 13 and 5.
The season last time the Chargers won the division,
round. Hey, what's your, y'all, oh and three?
No, we won the first game. We beat the Saints.
Oh, you count that? Yeah. It's the NFL team, ain't it?
Oh, yeah, I mean, listen. I mean, well, y'all, y'all one and two, y'all one and two. So, you know, we're two and one.
We're about to be two and two and two. Same record as y'all.
It sound good.
About to have the same record as y'all, two and two.
How about Nick's, how bow Knicks do today?
Man.
I'm just asking.
I mean, we had our backup quarterback,
so I'm just curious how your starter did.
Well, your starter don't never stay healthy,
so it's hard to say,
why are you going to do?
Because you know, like, every year,
he's going to miss some time.
Who?
You talk about my quarterback?
Yep, your starter.
It was unfortunate circumstances.
Stuff like that.
Boat was 14 to 25, 153 yards,
one touch,
down.
Man, that's it.
Cortland Sutton had six for 118.
Okay, court?
Herbert was 28 to 47, one touchdown, one of the deception.
They sacked them five times.
I mean, the one thing the Broncos can do is get after the quarterback.
Yeah.
I mean, he made a great throw.
That throw that he made to Keenan Allen for that touchdown.
Yeah.
With Moss all over him.
I mean, there ain't nothing you can do about that.
that.
Derwin James had a sack.
Troy Dye had a sack.
Y'all had two sacks.
Well, Durwin James, nice, boy.
Yeah, oh, yeah.
Boy, he's nice, boy.
He can play in the box, cover tight ends.
He could play free.
Man, he could do a little, man,
he could do a little bit of everything, boy.
That's all right.
You're a little tough, I mean, look,
I mean, the Broncos did some, her finger, has the guy picks him up off his feet.
You know you can't pick the guy up and slamming.
Yeah.
You know, you can't do that.
That's why y'all lost?
No, I mean, we lost because we stopped them, got the ball back, and couldn't get a first down.
Oh, y'all couldn't get a first down, huh?
Couldn't get the ball back.
They get the ball, go down the field, and kick a wall.
walk off.
So, no,
I'll make, no, no, that's
what it is. I mean, you get a situation like that, Ocho,
your defense stop them. Now,
your job is to make sure their office don't
get back on the field. Your job is to make
sure the office don't get back on the field
and you walk it off.
Or you go down there and score a touchdown
and then make them go try to score a touchdown
with a little time on the clock as possible
to match you. No, no, no, no,
no, no, no, no, no, no. This ain't no.
Right. So, so basically, y'all,
got belt BTA
no no that's what y'all got
no that's what the cowboys got no
I mean not not really not really you have to understand
our circumstance we're missing our starting quarterback
y'all had your whole team healthy there's a difference
there's a difference I mean y'all give I call
defacts I hope they don't trace the call back to me
people go no I call I had to use I had to use my burner phone
I called D-Fax up in Minnesota.
All I hear is excuses, don't.
I'm talking about Minnesota.
I had to call D-Fax in Minnesota because something bad was going on.
Hey, hey, it sounds good.
We'll see you.
No, it sounds good.
We'll see y'all Monday night next week.
I know y'all going to see y'all Monday night.
And we're going to put pussy y'all.
Yeah.
Okay, see how you talking?
See how you talking now?
I know.
I'm not being disrespectful.
No, no, no, no.
No, no, no.
you don't have been disrespectful.
You all have been disrespectful.
I'm talking about because y'all lost to the Chargers.
I mean, you, I mean, you boasted and you proud and y'all, y'all, y'all had the same L.
You worry about how many points we lost by when it's still in the, and it's still in the
L column.
You lost.
That's okay.
And we got injuries.
Y'all help you.
Whoa, whoa, we didn't try to hear no excuses because that's not what you said last week.
You were talking about Jake.
Oh, well, we love Jake.
Oh, Jake, Jake, Jake, going to hold that thing down.
You're going to hold it down.
He can hold it down when we play y'all Monday.
We're good.
Hold y'all down and keep y'all from winning.
We're good.
We good.
You'll see.
I see.
I saw it today.
4810.
Don't worry about it.
You were 483 at one point.
I'm like, damn.
Sometimes it's games like this.
Hey, this is Matt Jones.
I'm Drew Franklin.
And this is NFL cover zero.
We think NFL coverage should be informative and entertaining.
And twice a week, that is exactly what you're going to give.
We're just here to try to give you an NFL perspective a little bit different.
Did you see the Colts pretzel?
That was my other big takeaway from that game.
What was that?
It looks like something that should not be sold.
Oh, my.
So that was my other big Colts take away.
They sold that?
Yes.
Might want to go back to the drawing board on that.
Yeah.
I thought the shape we had with pretzels was working pretty well.
Smart for generations.
We're just here trying to enjoy it.
We hope you all will join us throughout the year.
And let's go.
I hope I'm as youthful as Pete Carroll is at his age.
He's a young 73.
He is a young 73.
He is Sprite.
I wouldn't fight him.
