But first, the San Antonio Spurs beat the Portland Trailblazers
by the score of 11-11 to 98.
Victor William & Yama had 35 points.
He had 21 of those in the first half.
35 points on 13 of 21 shooting 5 or 6 from the 3
4 or 5 from the free throw line 5 rebounds
and he had two blocks
that third quarter Vassell and Champany
started playing outstanding defense
turned the Portland Trailblazers over
and they got a victory by 13
over the Portland Trailblazers of San Antonio Spurs
did. Excuse me.
Joe, watching the Spurs
and the thing is that if you watch the playoffs,
look at the games today,
it's all about spurs.
Team will go on a 13-15-0 run
and something, a game that might be close
or two points,
and the next thing you know,
you look up and you're like,
damn, it was just a two-point ball game
and a tie ball game,
and the next thing you know
is 15, 17 points ahead.
What did you like about the spurs?
Because it's been a while,
this is a very young team.
It's been a while since they've been in the playoffs,
but I thought they composed themselves
and played extremely well today.
Yeah, I thought they played great.
Okay, Ocho.
considering the fact that they've been off for, what, over a week?
Mm-hmm.
So it could go either way when you have rest, you know,
because that could lead to Russ,
and I think we've seen that, you know,
in the playoffs this first round.
But for San Antonio, they just got so many guys, bro,
who are relentless and going to keep coming at you on both ends of the floor
until you break.
You know, it's the reason why they've been one of the top teams
in the NBA throughout this whole season.
You know what I mean?
This don't surprise me, you know,
that they're able to, you know, get a win like this
and Wimby, it seemed like every time you look up,
he'll be breaking some record.
I'm like, damn, he, every time I, because they had to play,
they played, I forgot the game they had played before this,
but they were talking about how he was breaking records,
but obviously being his first playoff game and having the most points.
I mean, he's special, Uncle Ocho.
He anchors their defense.
And obviously with the other guys,
them dogs that surround him, you know,
they create turnovers and that fuels their offense
and they're getting a lot of open three-pointers,
a lot of wide-open lob dunks.
I mean, they're well-o-o-engined, bro.
You're going to have to be a great team
to be able to beat these guys
in the seven-game series.
But I do give Portland credit.
Okay, Ocho, you know, they competed.
You know, they played a lot better
than what I anticipated.
And they got some pieces over that, man,
that can play that I feel like they can contend with, you know,
the spurs.
I think, I think Portland should get a game or two
in this series.
Orcho?
I enjoyed the game, Monk.
I really enjoyed the game.
We always talk about Wimby and what Wimby's done.
Like Joe said, every time you look up, he's breaking a different record.
But the goddamn supporting cast that he has, you know, in basketball, as I've come to learn, is all about runs.
Yeah.
Your starters on end, how well can you maintain and keep a goddamn lead before them big dog come back in?
God damn castle, Vassel, Fox.
For sale.
Oh, for sale.
I say the wrong?
It looks like it should be vassal, but it's for sale.
Okay, okay, okay.
Yeah, them boys play some good ball.
As far as Portland, hey, that goddamn, hold on now,
don't want to butcher buddy name.
Denny.
Adija?
Avia.
Say it right?
Avia.
Oh, Abia.
Oh, so the D silent.
Yeah.
They're calling him Danny, bro.
Dima.
Hey, Joe.
What's up, man?
A young bull of hell, boy.
Ooh, he can play.
Oh, he can play.
deal. A young bull is hell, boy.
He had, uh, what, uh, remember he had a 40, a 40 piece, uh, a 41, a 40 piece the last
game to get, to beat, to beat, excuse me, to beat the Phoenix Suns. He comes, follows that up
with a 30, 10, and 5. Yeah, I feel like, uh, Portland guy, man, they, like, Holiday
didn't play great. I think Jeremy Grant is a great piece for whatever reason. He's not getting a lot
a minute is Uncle Ocho.
Nope.
But they're going to need contributions from, you know, Holiday.
And I like how Henderson played, considering the fact that, you know, I was going to
say that.
So do I.
Yeah, I think this game is great for him, this up and down style,
to where you can kind of play, attack, you know, in transition.
I feel like it fuels his game.
And he looked pretty good tonight.
I agree with you.
I agree with you.
I just think the thing I think Klingin, he got to give him more.
Holiday got to give him more.
Umar got to give him more
Camara
I mean come on
when you have
four of their starters
when you're getting 35 from
Wemby so let's just say
Denny and Wimby counseled out of each other
Darren Fox gave you 17
LaSelle gave you 15
Castle gave you 17
y'all y'all got to meet
that I thought School
Henderson played really well
and Scoot normally comes off the bench
and normally
but he's been
tonight I was like damn
yeah
He was hunting his shot.
I like that about him.
Hey, look, because when you look at their team,
Ocho, just to be 100,
Scoot probably really the only one
who could really go out there and get his own.
I mean, outside of the Danny Boy up there.
Yeah.
But Scoot is great in one-on-one.
Like I said, he didn't look timmy.
He didn't look scared.
He went at his matchups.
So maybe he needed to do a little more of that.
I mean, he only got up 11 attempts.
I just feel like with the Spurs, bro, you're going to have to have somebody who will come along with Denny and help him out.
Because to beat them, it's going to be tough.
You're going to have to be at least 105, 110 to beat the Spurs.
Yeah.
My thing is, I'm looking at, I'm looking at Scoot.
I'm only going to play 28 minutes where a lot of the start of Deni played, what, almost 40 minutes, Holiday played 36 minutes.
He's going to have, you're going to have the, he doesn't.
needs to get into 30.
Hell, he's young.
He ain't a dime 20.
What the hell you saved him for?
Yeah.
Hey. It's all hands on deck now, Joe.
Yeah, I still kind of, I don't know if Portland's still trying to figure it out
because at one point of time, Shaden Sharp was a man over here.
Yes, yes, yes.
And now he come off the bench.
Obviously, you know, he played 21 minutes, but I'm like, what happened to all this?
So maybe Portland.
Did they flip it, Joe?
Because after wasn't sharp starting and Scoot was coming off the bench,
and it seemed like they flipped it or something.
No, I think that the Denny kid picked it up,
and I think they just started featuring him.
You know he was an all-star this year on,
so it's probably kind of moved somebody back.
But due to everything that Portland's been through,
I mean, what are there?
Seven C.
I mean, hell, this don't surprise them.
You know, they're going to have some lumps and lows in the game.
You know what I mean?
Like, you're playing against top caliber club in the Spurs.
So, I mean, I don't know how much we can expect from, you know,
the Blazers on the road.
game one, you know, they're still trying to find their way.
But I think they'll get better as the series continues.
Yeah, but when Denny is playing like that,
but here is the thing go, Joe, is that you're going to,
they're going to have to do something about these runs.
You got, you, you got to suppress that.
You can't let them go.
I mean, because the game was right there and you looked up,
it was, they were down 19 in like two minutes.
Yeah, yeah.
Because, and the thing is that when you're on the road,
you can't take those ill-advised shots because you're going to get runouts
and you're going to get guys out of positions
and now you got guys
they're shooting a shoot around threes
or they're getting all the way to the basket.
So you got,
Portland, you're already on the man
because if you look at it, you're on the road,
you're playing a 62 win team.
You've got to play damn near flawless
in order to beat this team.
And taking the count of shots
that shot 43% from the floor,
26% from the three point line.
That won't get it done.
Hey, Uncle Joe.
When it comes to Wemby, obviously playing the Spurs,
is Wimby in the same type of situation like Yokit?
Like, there's really nothing you could do.
You just got to hope you can contain the other four players on the court
because he's going to get his no matter what you try to do.
Man, hey, look, if I'm being honest, yeah.
Man, you see how that man out there dribbling the ball going between the team?
The man came for the pump fake.
he threw it out there,
did a baby sham guy,
went into a spin.
That was a little bit too much sauce
he put on that one.
Coach brought the pain
right after that one.
But I'm saying,
man,
for him to be that big,
for him to be that big, bro,
and to move the way he moved,
it's going to be hard for anybody
to guard him.
Okay, Ocho.
They don't need but one dribble for real
to be at the rim if we just be, you know.
And he can pull up and shoot threes.
Yeah, not only that,
but he's so comfortable,
maneuvering offensively.
I just want to, I think, at seven, four, seven, five,
I think, you know, I know they gain rebound.
You got a lot of guys with at least five rebounds or more,
but he probably needed a rebound a little more.
If I'm just nitpicking, you know, if I'm just nitpicking it at this game.
But for the most part, Ocho, they ain't going to have nobody who can stop him, bro.
No.
The biggest difference between him and Yoke is that Yoke is going to give you double-digit assist.
Right.
Hell, and rebound.
Yon Rope is a reluctant score.
Now, hey, if you go one, if you leave him one-on-one,
he's going to punish you now.
He's waiting for you to come to trap
because he knows most people
you're not going to single yoke one-on-one.
And the same thing with Wimby,
but the problem is with Wimby,
is that Wimby, yeah, he can't post,
but Wimby, like Joe said,
he'll get the ball on the wing.
He's three-point.
You got to guard him from the three-point line.
Right.
And he ain't looking,
yon get you shoot a set shot three.
You know, you leave him open.
Wimby will pull up from three.
He would dance on you and then pull up from three.
Yes, yes.
Hey, that big boy got some.
moves, man. I ain't going to lie. It's impressive to watch
move and play because we've never seen
nothing like that. No.
You know, they always talk about, yeah, they always talk
about Will chamber chamber, yeah, we ain't seen no footage
but we see it. Well, they're doing this.
A seven four, seven five guy.
Hey, hey, moving like he's six three.
We've seen a lot of guys. We've seen
Shaq bring the ball down, but to handle
the ball like that, yeah,
consistently get the ball at the three-point line
and he'll, hey, he'll dribble, hey, he'll
get a middy. And like you said, Joe, he'll
handle it, shoot a three.
faster to him in the corner.
He's like, take that with you.
No, we've never seen anything like this.
I mean, basically, he's a probably guy that's five,
four, five inches taller than Kevin Durant.
Yeah.
And doing what he's doing because of Kevin Durant,
we'd never seen anything like that.
We saw Dirk from seven foot, but Dirk can't have handles like that.
Dirk with the one leg step back.
He had the post game.
He could shoot the three.
And then Kevin Durant came with the Hazy.
And the high dribb of the crossover, it gets boom.
Yeah.
Now you've got somebody at seven,
four and a half.
Alien.
Like, what the hell?
What the hell you doing, man?
Right.
Hey, because think about it, even some of them donks that he get,
okay, Ocho, he ain't getting but about a couple of inches off the ground now.
He ain't got to jump, Joe.
He'll have to jump, Joe.
He'll have to be seven for his arms, his arms got to be two and a half feet long.
Yeah, yeah.
So, hey, all he got to do, who?
Yeah.
So if he got a nine, six reach, yeah, look, there ain't enough for him to be at 10 foot.
Exactly.
Exactly.
He a cheat code.
That's somebody, it'd be hard to create
that on NBA 2K.
I ain't going to lie to you to be moving like that at 7-4.
That's crazy.
I think, look, the Spurs won,
but I didn't think the Spurs bench
because that's normally where they get you at.
You know, Kelton Johnson normally come in
to get your big minutes.
Carter Bryant normally gives you big minutes.
I thought Cornett really played well.
Dylan Harper gave, had six points.
But their bench is normally more than that.
Yeah.
And they're going to have, and I think they'll be better.
Would I be surprised if Portland got a game in Portland?
I wouldn't be, Joe.
I wouldn't either.
I wouldn't either.
I think they got enough talent.
And I think a lot of them young cats will play a lot better at home.
You know what I mean?
But in San Antonio, I don't see them get no win in San Antonio.
Yeah.
Hey, I'm with Wimby.
Look, look.
I'm with Wimby with the Monk.
Hey, hey.
Hey, I'm so locked there.
Those folks ain't going to get nothing over here.
Hey, hey, women going to have other people going up with them with the monks and booties or whatever.
No, he's Shaolin.
Shaolin.
He's going to be up there in the mountains.
Hey, I don't know what he's doing, but I know when the game first came off,
he showed him with his head down and he, oh, man, in his eyes closed.
Yeah.
I said, yeah, he ain't playing no games.
He focused.
be dropped 35 in his playoff debut, setting a franchise record for the most points in the
playoff debut passing Timmy Duncan, Timmy, Temmy, Temer, Temer, Temma.
I know they had to be a good feeling, man, playing in front of Timmy, got damn.
And the Admiral?
In the Admiral, man.
Manu was there.
Ice Man.
Yeah.
Irvin.
That's, uh, my man, Ice Man.
That's royalty over there, bro.
Yeah, for sure.
Hey, trust me, they know what they got in San Antonio, too.
They got a contender.
They got a contender.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, Joe, this year?
They're going to contend.
Okay, okay, okay.
Yes.
Because they can guard.
The problem that a lot of people have when they go up against OKC,
they can't guard.
Like, hey, Castle can guard, Champini can guard.
Obviously, Wembe is going to go throw everything that's close in there.
They got guys that can guard.
Yeah.
Yeah, they do.
And they ain't got no answer for Wemby.
I know Chad is, but Chad, Chad, Chad, Chad, Hardenstein, they're going to have to run it.
Yeah, they ain't fooling with him.
They had to be physical with him, run him in the ground, boy, that'd be a hell of a city.
You got to.
You got to let Hardenstein, you got to let Hardinstein bang on him.
Yeah.
Because the thing is, you know, if you lose Hardinstein, that's okay, but you rough him up a little bit.
You can't afford to have both of those guys in foul trouble.
Getting tired.
Now you had a decided mismatch.
Yeah, yeah.
Hey, that'd be a great matchup.
Yeah, but I, like, like, I like,
Like I said, I just think they got to get more.
They got to get more.
I mean, you got, look, you got production out of school.
Henderson, I don't know if you thought you'd get seven of 11, 18 points out of school.
You know what you're going to get from Denny.
And he gave you what you thought you would get, 30, 10, and 4.
Okay, maybe you like to see the assist total a little high, but hell, they couldn't make any shots.
Assists ain't really on you.
It's on them.
They got to make shots for you to get the assist up.
And they shot 43% from the floor.
But they got to get more.
They got to get more.
They had three starters.
and had 21 points between their three startups.
That ain't good enough.
Robert Williams came in and gave him quality minutes.
He had 11 and 6 and 17 minutes.
He did.
He gave great minutes, four assists.
And like I said, man, they got a lot of talent over there.
I think they're going to kind of figure it out as the series go.
Like I said, the playoffs don't really start until somebody loses on their home floor.
They all they got to do, you know, do what they can to try to win game 6 but protect that.
By the time they get home, it's kind of like the Atlanta and the Knicks series,
If I'm just keeping the 100, I'd rather I'd rather start on the road with a young team
who doesn't have experience.
That way we can kind of see engage the intensity of the NBA playoffs and how we need to approach
it, you know what I mean?
So, yeah, you can gauge that in the first two games if you're on the road, but when you get
home, we need to know what to expect.
You know what I mean?
You got to come with that thomper when you get to the crib, you can't be playing.
Hey, Joe, that's dangerous, that, Joe, because, you know, you go to that.
down 02, 02 in the hole, and then you come home in that third game, now you got the pressure
on you where you got to show up and you got to play.
Shoot, it ain't really too much games you need to do, boys playoff basketball now.
Hey, Ocho, experience is the best teacher, baby.
Okay.
You know what I mean?
Hey, hey, some cats gonna have to learn on the fly.
It's just like, we're going to the playoffs.
Yeah, I could tell you how the play is going to be Ocho, but until you get out there in that
environment and that and really feel it, and that's the only way you're going to really know.
You know what I mean?
So them guys are kind of settling in, get a little comfortable, relax a little bit.
And I think the games will start to, you know, come out a little more.
So the Spurs take a 1-0 lead on the Portland Trailblazers thing to a 11-198 victory.
Victor Wimmyi Yama sets a Spurs record for most points in a playoff debut.
He passed the great Timmy Duncan.
And the first home team to lose this playoffs
were the number one seat in the Eastern Conference.
Thanks to Paulo Banquero, he had 23 points
as the Magic beat the Pistons, 112 to 1-on-1.
Apollo made up for that first time they lost.
He had 23 points, 9 rebounds, 4-s6,
the 8-seat Orlando Magic went on the road to Detroit,
and they won.
The top-seeded pistons extended their longest home playoff losing streak
in NBA history.
They have dropped 11 straight home games in the postseason,
the drought that dates back to 2008.
Cade Cunningham scored a career playoff high 39 points.
Tobias Harris added 17 for the Pistons,
but the rest of their teammates was relatively quiet.
You know, sometimes, you know,
and we can get into this and Joe, let me know what you think.
But sometimes it's really not what you did.
The other team just played a little better.
But in order for Detroit to get back in this thing and win this series, Jalen Duren can't do that.
I'm Luke Wilson.

On our new podcast, The Away End, we'll share with you the magic of international football, all leading up to the 2026 World Cup.
For us, soccer, football, is a story we've shared for over 30 years since Daniel was the star player
on our high school soccer team. Very debatable. And I was there most loyal and sometimes
only fan.
I love this game.
I love its history,
its hope,
its heartbreak,
and above all,
it's beauty.
Together, we'll find out
why, of all the
unimportant things,
football, soccer,
is the most important.

American soccer
is about to explode.
The World Cup is coming.
Ramel sending on

score at the chip,
I'm Tab Ramos.
I'm Tom Boe.
On our podcast, Inside American Soccer, you'll get the real storylines.
I'm not worried about Policic.
I'm not worried about Balagan.
I'm not worried about McKinney.
My only concern is what happens in the back.
The biggest decisions.
If you're going to look at stats and numbers,
he has no shot at making this World Cup team.
And the truth about the U.S. national team.
It wouldn't be a huge surprise if our team ends up in the quarterfell.
Finals are potentially a great run into the semifinals.
The World Cup is almost here.
Experience it all with us.

No, Jay...
8.7 assists, but you look at the up down the board.
Look at Orlando, 23, 19, 17, 17, 16.
That's how you go on the road in silence and cry.
Joe, what did you like about what the magic did?
Because I thought they, from the get-go, they didn't get in the hole, they took off and they
looked back.
Damn, Alendo, like, Jekyll and Hyde for real.
They are.
Think about it.
They got their head beat in against Philly, and ever since they lost, they, they put the, beat the brakes
off, the Hornets.
And now you come in, you come in, and game one.
This really don't surprise me, Uncle Ocho.
You want me tell you why?
Because I don't think Orlando is fully healthy,
but they got a lot of their key guys, Wagner, Ben Carrow.
And I think every since that game against Philly for Ben Carrow,
I know he heard the whispers because I know I was-
I was very critical of him for settling for jump shots,
doing too much ball handling,
and not using his muscle that he has that big body
and creating space and causing havoc,
getting to the free-dove line,
and making these dudes guard you.
Every since then, bro,
he's been a totally different player.
You know what I mean?
He came out.
He's established himself early,
meaning getting easy buckets,
getting into the teeth of the defense,
which is getting into paint,
making these guys try and stop him,
and it's just been tough.
Other guys have came along for the ride,
and they've been fun to watch.
They've been a top team,
you know, a team who I think before the season started,
a lot of people picked them to be at the top of the east.
Yes.
Probably a top four, top five teams.
Yes, right.
And they disappointed in that aspect.
But, man, they got a prime opportunity in front of them because the thing about Detroit,
we always talk about it, Uncle Ocho.
Kay got to be great, enduring got to be.
And he was.
You know, yeah.
I mean, you got to, they only had two guys in double figures, Detroit, bro.
That's it.
Got them.
Tobias and goddamn Kate.
That's it, bro.
In the playoffs, Joe, your best players, got to be your best players.
and then I get some help,
I get some supplementary help from somebody else.
My role player, one or two of those, give me something.
Jalen Dern is going to be an all,
he's going to be an all-NBA player.
You gave me,
you gave me eight points and seven rebounds.
This team led the NBA in point paint.
Yeah.
In paint points, excuse me.
They led.
Lando crushed him.
Plus 20.
That you can't have that.
I don't know what he was doing.
He played timid his hell.
Man, all got.
I think we got to give Orlando a lot of credit too, though.
Yes.
You know, they played tonight how we thought they were played throughout this season.
They beat the top team.
Obviously, they're an eighth seed playing on one seed.
Yeah.
And, you know, it's been questions about Detroit.
But Orlando is getting healthy, bro.
They got guys who are playing well.
And if Paul is going to lead the way he's been leading the past two games,
they're going to be tough to be, man.
They can potentially, you know, not this Detroit,
upset this Detroit Pistons team.
if they ain't careful.
Now, what we got to see is,
okay, Detroit been one of the best teams in the NBA.
Now we got to see what y'all really made up
because y'all don't lost on y'all home floor.
Oh, yeah.
Now you know you got to get the next one.
Hey, look, now and do you got to get the next one,
but you have to win, you have to win in Orlando.
You have to win to go to Orlando.
You got to win on the road.
This is their season is the next game they play.
Yeah, must win.
Can't go to Orlando down 02.
No, Wagner was unbelievable in the fourth quarter.
Every time they tried to make a run, he'd snuff it out.
Yeah.
Every time, Wendell Carter played unbelievable.
Like I said, I'm shocked.
I am shocked that Durran played this bad in this ballgame joke.
If somebody would have told me like, you know what, hey, he's not even going to get double figures.
Bro, he's a double, he's a double, double guy.
You gave me that.
in 33 minutes
and he only had
three files Joe so he wasn't in file trouble
it wasn't like a situation he picked up
three files in the first
quarter or he had three five
or four files in the first quarter
it wasn't that he had three files
and played 33 minutes
yeah man look
that's why hey look I give I give
Carter I give Wagner I get Ben Carroll
I'll get them big guys credit
because they fought him
and they outplayed the Pistons game one
They did.
They did.
You were the road team, bro, especially in the playoffs when it starts,
I always feel like the first game is like the best game to try and steal.
You know, man, Piston's been out for over a week, probably 10 to 12 days,
while Orlando has been playing playoff basketball for the past week.
You know what I mean?
They played a couple games in this past week to where, you know,
they already got it at the highest level and they know what they got to play at to be able to compete.
They've been playing playoff basketball for the last three weeks.
because they couldn't fall out of that damn tin spot.
Hey, they're about to be out of the play in.
They end up in the play in, but they was about to be out.
So they had to be in playoff mode.
Yeah, yeah.
And they've been there.
Hey, look.
Yeah, and they played well.
Like you said, you know what, Joe, not it you, none of I think about it, you're right.
Sometimes, you know, hey, you just tip your hat to Orlando and they just outplayed them.
Yeah, you want your guns.
Now, if they outplayed them and Durman would have played, like I know he can play,
Duncan Robinson need to give him more production
than what he gave him. But you look at that bench.
I mean, they didn't get
11, 11, 14. They got 20 points off the bench.
That ain't going to help you.
Yeah. And when you look at
Windale and Von Wagner,
look at the efficiency that they shot at, bro.
Yep.
Windale missed one shot.
Yep. You know what I mean?
He won one for two from three.
Wagner 7 for 7 for 13.
When you got guys playing at a fishing level like that,
all Apollo got to do.
is keep asserting himself to where establishing that, you know, he's going to be the best
player in this series.
Hey, man, Orlando got a great chance.
Okay, Ocho, in this first round.
They do.
I'm with the Pistons.
I want to see the Pistons prevail, but they're going to have to show us what is, you know,
they haven't been a champion.
They haven't won a championship, but to be a championship caliber team, you're going
to have to show us you can get out this little rut that you're in.
The difference is everybody that you expected to play well for Orlando,
played well.
There you go.
Only one play.
Really what,
and Tobias Harris gave you what you expect him to give you.
But only Cade.
I mean,
even I got a Jenkins,
Joe,
you remember Jenkins is offense.
Yeah.
He's really mainly offense when Cade was out.
Yeah.
He's a different player with Cade because Caj is going to have the ball
and Cade's going to do his thing.
Yeah.
So I don't know if we can still expect that same production
now that Cade's back that he gave you when Cade was out.
I do expect that from Derry.
But the magic guys,
played like they needed to play
in order to win. And so this is
why they won. But I tell you what, Detroit,
y'all better win this game.
I don't know when y'all play. I don't know if y'all play Tuesday.
Tuesday or Wednesday, but you better win on your home court.
The one thing that you don't want to do,
now you're not loaded like that
that you can go down O2 on your home court
and just go down there. Because I'm
afraid when you come back,
you'll be cleaning out your lockers.
You go down O2 at home.
No. Nah. Hey, you know,
Hey, Detroit got a huge fan base.
They ain't going for that.
They, they work too hard.
And the Pistons, you know, what they stand for.
I know them dudes are going to bounce back game, too.
They're going to be relentless, resilient.
They're going to do whatever it takes to win this game.
They know they got to win game, too, for sure.
You do don't realize, Joe, they had won a home playoff game since 2008.
Do you know how long 2008 was?
I was in my early fowder.
Just the got a fowdy.
Hold on.
Hold on.
You said, who ain't won the pistons?
Detroit.
Detroit.
They didn't beat the Knicks at home last year.
They didn't win up?
No. They lost their home.
They lost both games, isn't it, man?
They showed there.
They've lost 11 straight home games in the postseason,
a drought that dates back to 2008.
What's going on?
In the matter of fact, oh, Joe,
hey, I was 39.
By the turn 40.
In 2008?
In 2008.
In 2008, I was about to turn 40.
Boy, you were young, boy.
What?
Oh, he was cutting up in.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I was on a bender.
You know what I'm saying?
You was hair back then?
Yeah.
What?
Bending like Beckham the other way.
That's a long,
that's, I mean, when you think about it,
18 years, that's a long-ass time.
It is, bro.
I didn't know that.
It's a good stat because I swear I ain't know that.
I ain't know that.
Damn.
They got a pissing got to figure that out.
I tell you what, you better not go to 12.
He better not go to 12.
Because you end up having to get probably get 13 14 out to wait next year.
Oh, man.
I got to call my boy Jay Jack over there.
He's the assistant coach.
I got to ask Jay Jack.
I saw him on the sideline.
Yeah, I got to ask Jay Jack what going on, man.
Hold on, nah.
Yeah.
But no, I think, I think like you said, Joe,
you and I were both frustrated with Paulo Bancaro
because the way he played against Philly.
And then he followed that up the next game,
and he had a monster game against Charlotte.
He did a number on Charlotte.
And then he came and he followed that up.
This is what we expect from the number one overall pick a couple years ago.
There you go.
This is what we expect from an NBA All-Star.
This is the way you're the leader.
You're the best player.
You've got to be the best player more times than not on a nightly basis.
Yeah, hey, and take advantage of their big body you got, bro.
And when he plays well, they have, man, look here.
They tough to beat.
I saw him do a number on the Lakers this year.
Yeah.
I mean, he got to, getting to the mid, he was knocking out of three, putting the ball on the floor,
finishing at the rim.
He was hell.
Man, he's a load.
He's a big kid.
Okay, okay.
Yeah, hell, yeah, he like 16.
Yeah, like big body, you know, hell in the rock.
He played, hey, all he got to do is stay in that mid-post range,
beat a picker in the screen and roll instead of being the handle all the time,
the way you can get to them short rows or roll and get them easy buckets
or where you can play, make, and score.
But if he relentless like he's been, getting to the paint,
because I watched him in college, I'm like, bro, what is all this hype about?
Because he did not play like he's playing now.
I'm like, well, damn.
Yeah, yeah.
And they're like, Bencaro, Bencaro.
He could be the number one overall pick.
I was like, okay.
You didn't see it?
No.
No, he didn't play like his size.
Now, I get it.
He's playing with other five stars and you just can't dominate, you just can't, they're not,
Coach Kay ain't going to just give you the ball.
If they get, well, I think Coach Kay would have been his coach.
Maybe Sean was his coach.
But you're not going to just get out of, give him the ball because of hell,
they got other guys on there going in the first ride to the NBA.
Yeah.
You know, hey, you know, dude.
But he's hell.
He'll load.
Yes, bro.
He is.
He continues to keep playing like this.
He's going to get Detroit playing in hell.
Yeah, Detroit.
Hey, Joe, they might be in trouble, Joe.
I know it's one game and I don't want to overreact to one game.
But history ain't on their side,
considering they haven't won a home playoff game in 2008.
Yeah.
Well, listen, listen, listen, listen.
They getting tested right now, Uncle Ocho.
Ooh, yeah.
For the pistons.
Now they got to come.
They got to, hey, they got to come up with some asses.
This is it.
But, Joe, this ain't, this ain't no surprise, test.
Hell, you do the playoff and starting.
then you knew they started at home.
Yeah, so it's rest over rust.
You know, they've been, it depends.
It depends on how you look at this.
You know, they've been out for a while.
They're a young team still,
so some rest could cause for them to be a little rusty.
I feel like they're going to pick it up.
Obviously, they're going to win game too
because of the desperation they got to play with.
And I feel like they'll get back on track.
They've been a pretty good road team all year.
So I think they can go in.
I think they can go in and get one in Orlando.
I really do.
Hey, Joe.
Go ahead, Joe.
I'm going to say they're going to have to, Joe.
Got no choice.
Detroit, they're going to have to play Detroit, basketball.
Hey, because them got them.
Well, magic, I had a few magic fans.
I'm not sure what I said on the show, Unk.
Well, I don't know if I had picked Detroit to win the finals.
I was talking trash.
They cussing me all out on Twitter and on X.
Like, yeah, don't talk about my Orlando Magic.
I'm like, wait a minute.
I don't recall saying anything.
about them.
Maybe I must have picked the goddamn pissing to win the goddamn series
and they're on top of my head.
Well, I don't know when the last time
my 8 seed beat a one seed.
When the last time they're having?
It's been a minute.
I remember when the nuggets
beat the Suns and 94,
I think Golden State beat the Mavericks,
the year Dirk, I think Dirk won the MVP.
Yep, with Baron Davis and Steven.
Yeah, yeah.
And Barnes and all them, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm trying to think off the top of my head, Joe, who else won, one-eight?
What was the, what were the, the heat the year they beat the Celtics?
They might have been a five or six seat.
I don't think they were eight.
Yeah.
I'll tell you what, though.
If I'm Orlando, I'm trying to be greedy.
Okay, old Joe.
Oh, yeah.
I'm trying to, hey, we won game one.
We really just came here to get one game.
But hold up.
We didn't got the first one.
Okay.
Oh, yeah.
He beat the bucks.
That's when Jimmy Butler went off.
You remember that game?
Jimmy Butler had like 50.
Oh, no.
They were an A-C.
Was that the year?
Yes.
They didn't make it to the finals that year, did it?
Yeah, I think that's the year that made it to the finals when they ended up losing to Denver?
Yeah.
Yeah, is that...
Was that the year they lost to Denver?
Yeah.
You remember when Jimmy Butler couldn't miss?
I mean, everything, he was stumbling going out of bounds, thorn it up, and it was going in.
He knocked the bucks off.
Who else they'd knock off their run they had?
They had a hell of a run.
I think they beat the Celtics too.
Yeah, that, yeah.
Yeah, they did.
They did.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But yeah.
Hey, hey.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
In 2012, Philly beat them.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Well, hey, look, if Orlando want to make,
yeah.
If Orlando want to make history.
Yeah.
All they got to do is try to be a little greedy.
Look, look.
All we wanted to do is win one.
Now we didn't get one.
Hold on, game two.
Look, we end up going over the game plan again.
What we can do better to be a better team in game two.
That way, we can go home up to O.
Up to them.
Hey, never know.
But then the thing is you don't want to relax.
So you're like, oh, we got the two and now we go at home.
And then you're relaxing.
And then they take the two back.
Yeah.
Because in the playoffs, it's a fine line between winning and losing.
You know what I mean?
Like, you can't play with the game, bro.
You know, I feel like Orlando has a prime opportunity,
but the same with Detroit,
they got to show that they can be tried and tested and prevail,
you know, to try and be, you know, one of the top teams in the East.
I mean, the top team in the East.
So we'll see what they made of.
All things being equal,
this is a perfect matchup for Orlando.
I won't Boston.
And I damn shit, didn't want to see the Knicks in the first round.
So all things being equal,
Give me them.
Hey.
They're young.
They ain't battle tested.
And then, guess what?
I got J.B., J.T., battle tested.
Dirt White, battle tested.
What we're talking about here?
Yeah.
So all things being equal, give me them.
Yeah.
Hey, I'm with you.
Hey, because when you look back at it,
hell, that loss to Philly wasn't a bad loss.
Yes.
I'd rather take Detroit.
I want Boston.
You won't Boston to first.
Absolutely not.
Yeah, let me get these guys.
They're young and they lose their home all the time.
Jay Gilgis, Alexander, scored 25 points as the reigning champs,
Thunder opened the playoffs with a resounding 35-point victory over the Suns,
119 to 84.
SGA scored 25 points.
The OKC Thunder began their title defense with a row.
The reigning league MVP made five of 18 shots,
but he went to the free throw line 17 times.
cashed and 15 of those.
Jalen Williams scored 22.
Chet Hungrit at his 16.
Hey.
I don't get the signs.
Go ahead, Ocho.
Hey, before you talk about the signs
and not getting them,
I know the Thunder one,
I just want to ask something about SGA real quick, Joe.
Go ahead.
You always talk about him being able to get to his shot.
Now, I understand the regular season.
And the regular season,
because he's so good at manipulating defenders,
you know, doing what he does,
getting to a spot,
getting the jump running into him
I get getting the whistle
in the regular season
but in the post season
getting the whistle at that same
at that same rate
to go 518
and still
come on Joe
am I missing something
yeah hey
Ocho he's gonna be a two time MVP
so he's gonna get that whistle
no matter what I mean
if it's a file
I mean it's hard to stay in front of him
yeah see see
see, great scores, bro, if they don't shoot a great field goal percentage, you know, in years
past being able to get to the line, they've been masters at that.
And he is, yeah.
He know how to file bait you.
He know how to take the angles to where, you know, he know you're going to be reaching.
You know, he's master's day.
He averages 33 points a night.
You know, this is considered a down night tonight.
But he has counterparts who've been there.
Them dudes been tried and tested, man.
They've been trying to test it in the finals and, you know, obviously prevail.
So I ain't never worried about OKC, another team who's had a lot of rest versus rust,
you know, considering the fact that Phoenix has been playing, you know, over the past,
they played a couple games this past week.
We still don't think Phoenix guys, I mean, look.
They end up winning the game.
Come on, man.
That man had this bad game and they still beat the brakes off them four.
And you know why?
because Phoenix won't stop turning the ball over.
They won't stop taking bad ass shots.
They shooting contested threes from 27.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm like, bro, y'all need to treat, y'all need to treat the basketball like teams when they play the old Patriots and the Chiefs.
Hold the ball to the very last second.
Snap the ball with damn two seconds on the shot clock.
Don't get no time.
They shoot the ball with two seconds on the shot clock and they was like the teams would snap the ball.
with four or five seconds on the shot clock.
The play clock.
Bro, you're shooting the ball with 17 seconds on the damn clock.
They're getting runouts.
You turning the ball over.
You jumping up in the air?

Nothing's off limits.
We talk trade requests.
What's the vibe of that when it's like
your star player is like,
well, I want to leave?
And then actually now I'm going to stay.
We talk tanking.
I mean, honestly, like, I might get in trouble for this answer,
but I think it's, like, definitely happening in the WBA.
And, yeah, we talk about our mistakes, too.
They pulled me to their side and was like, hey, man,
we got a call last night, man, you can't be rolling around the city like this
tonight before games, no, you know, doing this, doing whatever.
And of course, family stories.
They'll be like, Mommy, why did you miss that?
Mommy, do you play basketball?
Check out Game Recognized game with Stulian Miles on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, you know what it is?
The Thunder, they push you to play at a pace because of their pressure.
Defensively, they make you play at a pace offensively that, you know, you got guys who can play at that pace, but you're going to die out after a while, you know, because of the pressure that they apply.
And they're going to give up them appetize and shots.
Uncle Ocho, because why?
They want the tempo.
They want that pace.
So, yeah, Brooks are going to get a couple wide-open shots,
a couple of middles, same with Green.
But if they're not shooting at a high clip,
meaning over 50%, it's going to be hard.
It's going to even compete in any game in this series.
You know what I mean?
They have to be efficient, bro,
in order for them to be effective.
Look, you get nothing from your bigs.
You don't get nothing for them.
I mean, if them three guys,
Booker Green and Brooks don't, ain't put
up at least 25 a night plus.
I'm talking about all of them going to have to be in the 20s just to compete.
Yeah.
But it's, I mean, look, I think Dillon Brooks has had a phenomenal year.
But if he's shooting the ball 22 times and he's going to 6 or 22, you're going to
get beat just like this.
If he go three or 10 from the three-point line, you're going to get beat just like this.
Now, he can, he come out aggressive too.
I'm talking about he took like the third two, three, something like, damn.
Hey, you know what to that?
Yeah, I listen.
And what happens is, you, you're like, it's, it's, you're like, it's,
fool's goal.
Because you know,
hey,
you know what I'm saying?
You talk to a couple of chicks.
You're like,
hey,
you get a couple of numbers.
You don't stop.
Yeah.
You just keep talking.
Hey, man.
You boy got it.
Hey.
Bro,
I'm like,
damn.
And also, bro,
you play 26 minutes.
No points.
Good one.
Maybe he got hurt.
Yeah.
I mean,
the thing is is that the guy,
that you're counting on to play defense,
they're getting filed.
They're in fire trouble.
And I know Galepsy had a decent year this year,
meaning in the absence of when Booker was out.
But, man, these are guys,
it's hard to count on these dudes
in these pressure-type situation.
Man, it's the playoffs, bro.
I ain't count on the road.
Joe, now we come home,
I'm sleeping in my bed,
and I got my crowd behind me.
I'm not counting on road players
to go on the road and play out of their minds.
I'm counting on Booker.
Book is the guy.
I'm counting on Booker to play out of his mind.
But the problem is they got five guys
that they can throw it book.
They got five guys they can throw a book
and wear his ass down.
They're going to give him hell.
Yeah.
So now, okay, Jalen Green,
you remember those two playing games,
Jalen Greene played out of his damn mind.
Yes.
And he has that a capability.
He could go on a streak
and you see he had 35 one night
36 the next night
he has that kind of ability
hey listen
streaky
but
I just look
and then somebody
somebody it's one game
hey you should know better
than the dude
overreact
I said I tell you what bet five grand
that the sons don't want a game
yeah
and they probably
I ain't heard back from him
hey they probably don't move by 20
in game too
yeah
because you know
it's a difference playing
and playoff games
games and now you're playing against the best team in the league, Uncle Ocho.
Yeah.
Like you say, they got five guys on the perimeter, bro, who are going to sit in their chair
and going to keep you in front and make you take a tough shot.
Now, Devin Booker is a tough shot maker.
He can make them tough shots.
Green, a tough shot maker.
I just don't like to see Dylan Brooks in his bag like that 22 shot attempts.
Come on, man.
I feel like I need you.
Obviously, I need you to make shots.
But this ain't like when Booker and Green was out and you can take 22 shots.
Cool.
Yes.
Thank you.
But you got these dudes back in the lineup.
We need you to be that emotional leader, that defender, that elite defender.
Yeah, make somebody act out of character, man.
Get them kicked out the game and give us an advantage some way somehow.
I want, hey, I'm okay Cig's like, you know what?
We're going to leave his ass open again the next night.
And then if you hopefully take 26 shots.
Hey, because you know him and Shea play on the Canadian team.
So I don't know.
They got a little, you know what I mean?
I got a little stuff.
He should have got a little sub going.
I mean, he shoved, I mean, he shoved one time.
He got a flagrant because he hit Chet in the face trying to get a rebound.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And I think it was accidental, but he taking 22 shots.
There's a good chance you're not going to win.
He's taking that many shots, Joe.
It's the way he take him.
22 shots is a lot for him.
But the way he's taking him, it's just straight.
He shot 10 threes.
Now, all of a sudden, he turned into the guy that ain't going to play off Steph and Clay Thompson.
What if he's taking him, on?
What if he's making him?
He ain't, but, oh, look, the thing is, you got to be who you are.
Not a him.
There's a handful of guys you won't take in double-digit threes.
Right.
Dylan Brooks isn't one of them.
I'm sorry.
Not on that team, no.
No.
Oh, man, here he is.
Here he is.
The lima pelt-steper.
Whip that trick.
Whip that trick.
University of South Carolina game, Cock of Love.
Y'all see him.
The W.W.E. United States champion, a two-time NXT champion, a one-time NXT, North America champion,
and winner of the 23 Men's Iron Survivor Challenge.
Here he is.
Trick William.
Mike Cap, let's talk about it.
What's up, Shannon?
Oh, Joe.
What was up, man?
Joe was having him, baby.
What's up, right?
You did your thing today now.
I had to put it on him, man.
He was talking too much for me.
Go ahead, don't Joe.
Hey, listen, bro, your energy, your enthusiasm.
You know what?
You're one of one.
I'm just say you want to one right now.
May your energy feels effortless on screen.
Dog, watch it, watching from TV.
What's something behind the scenes that actually takes a lot more work
than fans would expect from you?
Because, dog, well, you, hey, you, hey, go ahead, go ahead.
I'm a little to answer, but.
No, no, I appreciate that, man.
Let me tell you.
Them bumps hurt.
And hitting that ground hurt every single time.
You know, people say what they say about the business.
But I take, man, this is 52 weeks a year.
52 weeks a year, man, you got to get up whether you feel like it, whether you don't.
You know what I mean?
And I would say that's the biggest difference I've experienced from, you know, playing football and being here.
You know what I mean?
There ain't no offseason.
You know, I'm at Monday Night Row tomorrow.
You know what I mean?
I think it's a show that you.
That's the Super Bowl.
Everybody else had a Super Bowl, they off for three months.
You know, we're right back at it tomorrow.
Got to go to the seats.
Yes, sir.
Talk to us about tonight.
The atmosphere, the entry.
WWE did a big thing because everybody came out,
had their theme music,
you know, overcame out,
overcame out of that day walking like this here.
You came by, spit it around.
What's here?
Y'all be in the liver,
that's my stella.
Come on with it.
Yeah, yeah, man.
I love a good entrance, man.
Like, for real, and music step.
It set the tone for everything.
If the music ain't right, then the people ain't going to feel it.
And most of the point, I ain't going to feel it.
You know what I'm saying?
So I told them from the junk, man, I said, I need horns.
I need horns.
And I play family ties, you know, with that Kendra Lamar.
I need to feel like black royalty, you know, coming to the ring.
You know what I'm saying?
So I had them horns playing.
We put on those 808 drums and put a lot of bass.
And could y'all feel the bass tonight?
Oh, yeah.
You had the hype.
Hey, that thing was hype.
That was hype.
42, 43, 44,000, whatever the fans were, they were hype.
They was ready for that match.
You get obviously, you know, hey, this is, this is what we're here for.
This is what we're here for.
And you're like, okay, let me go out here and put on this show.
The people, this is what the people came to see.
And you did your thing.
So what were the emotions like when, okay, you're getting, obviously, you know,
it's getting close to the end.
Man, there's something about it, man.
You can tell when the people ready.
You know what I mean?
And, man, shout to San Jose, man.
He's a great opponent.
You know what I mean?
He's been in the business a long time.
I'm talking about 15 years at the high level of WWE.
But I think what took that match to the next level today is,
man, he kicked me in my nose.
And it may be, it upset me a little bit.
I ain't going to lie.
You know, he kicked me in my nose.
And I felt like, you know, he had bad.
So, you know what I mean?
So from that point on, we was on and rocking.
But sometimes that's the best thing, that extra energy, that extra juice that you need.
Sometimes, you know, you got to slap your teammate on the helmet and say, hey, get right.
You know what I mean?
And, yeah, that's what happened today.
So we took it to the next level and the people loved it.
You know, the crowd was rocking.
I just saw the video back, man, like a feeling that I've been chasing my whole life.
So it was beautiful.
Hey, Trey.
Hey, Tric, tell me something.
this iso
man I know you got a
football background
but how did you get into wrestling bro
like what made you get into it?
Yeah man so I played at Hampton University
shout to my HBCU Shannon
yeah y'all know what's up
then I transferred to the university at Saucalana
I walked on to the University of South Carolina
outstanding offense to walk on
work my way to be coming a star
or everything like that
no excuses my senior I just
it wasn't it wasn't working for
me. We had a coaching change. No excuses. You know, players got to play. Yeah. You know, for whatever
reason, my career just kind of fell a little funny. But, um, to give it a summarized version, man,
I still found my way in camp with the Philadelphia Eagles. And I was bawling. I ain't going to
lie to you, Shannon. Yeah. Look, I don't know what it was. What position? What position?
I play wide receiver, man. I was in his three feet like Ocho, man. I was, hey, you know what I'm
saying? Hey, look, see, it's three, two, 20. You know, for me?
You know, that's what I did.
But then I got cut from camp.
Then I finally signed with an agent.
I didn't have an agent at the time.
So I finally signed with an agent.
You said, don't worry, we're going to get you back on another squad.
You got a film.
And nothing was shaking.
I couldn't figure out what was going on.
They said, we're going to get you with the XFL.
Now, I can't speak on it too in detail,
but there was some close affiliations with the XFL in WWE at the time.
So when I sent it.
I send my information to the XFL.
I get an email from WWE to the next day.
They say, are you interested in coming in for a trial?
Now, I'm thinking to myself, you know, I ain't never thought about wrestling.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
I don't know, man.
Oh, WWE, y'all got a football team because I'm looking to play wildest.
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I played football for 20 years.
You know what I mean?
I enjoy wrestling.
I'm an attitude-era kid.
So, you know what I mean?
My first customer was opening a can of woodpads, watching Stone.
code Steve Austin.
Stone code,
you know what I'm saying?
Like,
so I was familiar with the product,
but I just didn't think about it for myself.
You know how it is when you're playing your sport.
You locked in.
It's tunnel business.
Yes.
And that's what I was.
And then,
man,
and they sent an email.
I was like,
oh,
you know,
that do sound like a good opportunity.
I don't know if I want to wear them tights,
though.
You know what I'm tights?
You know what I mean?
You got these bird legs.
I was like, man,
I know I'm wearing these tights.
Then my father said,
man,
you better go out there to make some money.
Put them tight songs on and get out there and make a name.
I've been wrestling ever since.
Hey, I like it.
I like it.
Hey, that's so dope.
With all the success, right, Trick, all the success you've had so far in your career.
If your career had a soundtrack right now, and I know you know about your music,
especially when it comes to your ring walks and becoming one, not only with the music,
but with the fans as well, if your career had a soundtrack right now,
what song would define this chapter in life?
And why?
50 cent.
I'm the man.
50 cent, you know,
something real slow and gangster, you know what I mean?
Yeah, right.
Smoke and cigar, too.
You know what I'm doing?
You know, man,
we're sitting in it now.
You know, I'm in my bag right now,
and everybody, you know what?
Yeah.
I don't even got to yell at it.
You know what I mean?
It is what it is.
Yes, sir.
What was your reaction?
Oba.
He retired Brock Lesoner the night.
Oh, hey,
Oba had a cold entry, too.
Like I said,
when they played that thing
and the crowd started
over,
oh,
and he hit that thing,
he came out there,
oh,
oh,
I mean,
everybody that panned the crowd
and everybody was doing it.
Hey,
it was,
hey,
I mean,
hell,
that match didn't last,
man,
bad long.
No,
but man,
over with my boy,
man,
like we was at NXT together.
We both been on
the main roster for
about four months now.
And,
man,
I got to brag on him
because,
man,
he's taken over
and I'm taking over
on opposite brain.
He on Raw.
I'm on Smackdown.
He's going to be in my wedding and everything, man.
He won't my grooms, man.
And the shot was over, man.
He's doing his thing.
He retired.
Brought Lesnar the night.
We never seen Brock look so vulnerable.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
Yeah.
And he was an athlete also.
If I'm not mistaken, I think he threw the shot in Alabama, right?
He did the shot for that Alabama.
Man, he got some records, too.
He was a real dog.
Oh, yeah.
You can see he's explosive.
I mean, to be able to throw the shot,
you got to be explosive.
You do those.
those weight implements.
You were explosive.
Hey, on.
Go ahead.
You just heard these tricks.
They're saying you about to get married, right?
Yeah, yeah.
We, we, we, hey, Lash, that's his old lady.
I know, I know, I'm just saying,
I asked the missus if I could officiate the wedding.
You know, I'm, I'm, oh, man, really?
Yeah, I'm a ordained minister.
I'm a licensed minister.
So I married Gary Owens and Brianna and his,
and his wife, well, maybe three weeks ago.
Oh, wow.
Oh, wow.
Yeah, that was my wife.
first wedding.
So I'm just saying,
if you want to knock down
the cost of having to get you
someone on the outside,
you know, to marry you,
I could wait to wait for a cell.
Man, I ain't gonna lie.
Man, that would be such an honor
to have Ocho Cinco,
you know what I mean?
Yeah.
Hey, hey, true.
Man, she told me that.
I thought you was playing.
No, no, no.
I'm really, you can Google it.
You can YouTube it.
I really, I really did marry him.
Hey, Trick, you got to be careful.
Now, he don't really know all his lives.
He's still learning.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, yeah.
You got to back with him.
Man, look.
You go up and cut a wrestling promo.
Cut a wrestling promo right there.
Listen, I got you.
It depends on how you want to win.
You want it serious, you know?
You want it funny.
There's a multitude of things you can pick from on the mood you want me to bring.
See it.
Yeah.
Man, Trit, tell that man you want that thing serious.
Your mom, your parents go beat.
Her parents go be there.
They don't want that man.
I did boojohn.
Yeah, man.
Lash don't play that, man.
She'll buggy for real.
Yeah, yeah.
But I'm ready.
I'm ready.
I come in there like a politician.
So talk about the outfit.
How did the inspiration come?
Because you know for the outfit,
the last guy that I mean really like outfits
were like Rick Flair.
When he coming with the robe
and had the nature boy on the back.
Buddy Rich was another like that.
And the Freebirds used to have outfits like that.
But y'all is cold, bro.
How did you come up?
How did you come and say, you know what?
This is it.
Man, so I'm going to tell you exactly how it.
My first week on Smackdown, man, I've been saving this white coat, you know what I mean?
Because I just wanted to put some ice.
I was saving his white coat.
I had my shoes are calling my lemon pepper stubbers.
You know, no white, the guy, all white pants, all white everything.
I cut off Sammy Zane in the promo and the crowd was chan, what that trick, had a cool five promo.
It was dope.
And I came out the next week and I had something totally different on.
And then Triple H come to me, he said, he's a kid.
said, where your coat? I said, you know, it wasn't my coat. It's a coat. You know what I mean?
Yeah. Then Bruce Pritcher come to me. He said, where's your coat? And like, man, what y'all
talk about? Man, it's just a coat. I mean, I wore it last week. There's another week.
Michael Hayes, where's your coat? And Trouble A said, I ain't never seen Elvis Presley without his coat.
I get it now, you know? So apparently that coat made an impression on everybody, you know.
Hold on Michael Hayes,
pre-bird Michael Hayes.
You game the ball.
But I like I say, hey, Trigg,
I grew up.
Now, if you're talking about the red,
now, now, I grew up with that rafling.
Now, if you're from the side,
you don't say, they were like,
oh, it's wrestling.
Now, it's wrestling.
I'm a rassling champion.
Yeah, the pre-bird,
the fabulous free bird with Michael Hayes.
He was right there.
He told me, he's like, man,
I ain't never seen Elvis Presley without his coat.
I said, I said, okay.
This is how we're going to set them action figures.
This is how the kids are going to dress up for Halloween.
This is my brand now.
Man.
So now you can't, you can't,
you come to the,
you come to the ring,
you come to the ring,
you got to have a coat on.
Hey, like you said, Elvis,
James Brown had always had a coat.
You remember they have to take the coat of game.
Yeah.
The heart is working back.
Man, I wanted to pull off that interest today.
It's funny you say that, Shannon.
I wanted to rip it off when the beat drop,
but the coat was so heavy because it was that long.
I couldn't,
nobody's going to be able to put it back on.
Yeah, Cabrero,
that man, I was like, man,
how long that train is?
Yeah, a hundred yards.
Damn.
What?
Yo, yeah, you took that off.
That ain't getting back on.
I said, I wanted to put that James Brown
at a lot of people, you know, I got an old soul.
You know what I mean?
I watched that stuff.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Rap.
Are you taking this rap?
Man, I think rap is taking me serious.
You know what I'm saying?
Oh, Cho, I see you at the battle wrap.
Yeah, you know, yeah, you know, I could battle around.
I was there.
Wait, you were there today?
I was there that day with DNA and Charlie Clips and all that.
Oh, yeah.
Okay, okay, okay.
Oh, you in the battle.
Man, I'm all up in there, man.
Look, man, I was right there.
I seen Ocho battle, you battle Charlie Clips and DNA that time.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you know, one on two.
One on two, you had them balls ready for you.
Hey, hey, man, listen, man, I got to give a gab.
Baby, I can sell water to a well.
You hear me, I can sell salt to a snail.
Hey, I can talk a cat at the fish at the fish market.
Hey, I hear you, but back in the day, I had two ladies, one named Lexis, one named Mercedes.
Lexis driver Mercedes, Mercedes driver Lexus, and damn it, I get them confused from time to time.
Last, you just rap.
I'm playing.
I'm playing.
I'm playing.
I'm sorry.
Man, that was unbelievable, man.
I mean, from Hampton to the University of South Carolina to obviously,
I mean, I guess, let me know.
How did this, I mean, you didn't have this plan.
Obviously, you go, you play, you play J.B. football, you want to make varsity.
You make varsity, I want to go to college.
You go college, you know what, at least give me an opportunity to go into NFL.
this has to be because you're reaching the pinnacle in the WWE.
So this is going to be your Super Bowl.
This is going to be your NFL.
When you go back home, how proud is the community,
how proud of your mom and dad, your family,
of what you just been able to accomplish?
Because think about it, you just got called up four months ago
and you're already on WrestleMania.
You're on man.
My mom was, man, she was there tonight, man.
I told everybody she got knee search.
She got knee replacement a month ago.
And she's rehab every single day.
She said, baby, I ain't going to miss your first WrestleMania.
So we should have a special moment out there.
But yeah, man, but you're right, though.
Like, I play football, but it's funny, Shannon.
I knew since I was a kid, I would have dreams about this.
I said, I'm going to play in the Super Bowl, and I'm going to perform at halftime.
And I don't, I ain't know what that meant at the time.
I just knew I was going to do it.
And then as I look at my life now, that's exactly what it is.
Like, I was always athletic, you know what I mean?
but I had more to offer.
I had to take that helmet off,
you know what I mean?
So I could really be myself
because when I had a helmet on,
I was, you know, I was a soldier.
You know, I was trying to do whatever the coach said.
You know what I mean?
I was trying to make it to the next level.
Right.
But when I took that helmet off,
and I said,
they said, go entertain, go be yourself.
Man, everything took off.
So, you know,
it's just a blessing for real.
Man, that was unbelievable.
Congratulations on the big win tonight.
Congratulations on the wedding.
Tail Lash and Naya,
good luck all the way down
man we're proud of you bro we're proud of you
you know of you know
Mr. Lemon Pepper's Dipper himself

Yeah we're here
you love the Grown's party tonight man
I'm the only one in town
what was jumping off
man Ron Gron Kassie got a party tonight
beach part of
Oh.
I'm looking at after that.
Hey, like, damn, how you have a beach part in the middle of the desert?
Yeah, I'm trying to figure out where the beach at.
Hey, hold up.
Hey, Trit, Trit, they're going to be in that tonight?
They're going to be in there.
I ain't playing.
Hey, hey, let's get them out of here so make sure to go the bill goes off without here.
Thank you, bro.
Y'all owe me one.
All right.
I got you.
Good luck, bro.
Appreciate you, bro.
Man, damn, the man that he's got bad yet, y'all about the best of the man at home.
That would Joe ask that.
That would Joe ask her.
Hold on, hold on.
I got an ask question that I think chat be thinking about.
Like, I, it might be somebody in Vegas feel like, man, if I pull up, he's going to have something in there for me.
You know, tomorrow.
Okay, okay, okay.
I'm right.
I'm going to look out for the people, Ocho.
All right, that's a good one.
That's a good one.
That's a way to think of head, Joe.
You're about to get the man.
Y'all about to get the man F-du up before you even get there.
Hey.

Let's go.
We did beat them in improv.
