considering the fact that they've been off for, what, over a week? Mm-hmm. So it could go either way when you have rest, you know, because that could lead to Russ, and I think we've seen that, you know, in the playoffs this first round. But for San Antonio, they just got so many guys, bro, who are relentless and going to keep coming at you on both ends of the floor

until you break. You know, it's the reason why they've been one of the top teams in the NBA throughout this whole season. You know what I mean? This don't surprise me, you know, that they're able to, you know, get a win like this and Wimby, it seemed like every time you look up, he'll be breaking some record.

I'm like, damn, he, every time I, because they had to play, they played, I forgot the game they had played before this, but they were talking about how he was breaking records, but obviously being his first playoff game and having the most points. I mean, he's special, Uncle Ocho. He anchors their defense. And obviously with the other guys, them dogs that surround him, you know,

they create turnovers and that fuels their offense and they're getting a lot of open three-pointers, a lot of wide-open lob dunks. I mean, they're well-o-o-engined, bro. You're going to have to be a great team to be able to beat these guys in the seven-game series. But I do give Portland credit.

Okay, Ocho, you know, they competed. You know, they played a lot better than what I anticipated. And they got some pieces over that, man, that can play that I feel like they can contend with, you know, the spurs. I think, I think Portland should get a game or two in this series.

Orcho? I enjoyed the game, Monk. I really enjoyed the game. We always talk about Wimby and what Wimby's done. Like Joe said, every time you look up, he's breaking a different record. Hey, look, because when you look at their team, Ocho, just to be 100, Scoot probably really the only one who could really go out there and get his own. I mean, outside of the Danny Boy up there. Yeah. But Scoot is great in one-on-one. Like I said, he didn't look timmy.

He didn't look scared. He went at his matchups. So maybe he needed to do a little more of that. I mean, he only got up 11 attempts. I just feel like with the Spurs, bro, you're going to have to have somebody who will come along with Denny and help him out. Because to beat them, it's going to be tough. You're going to have to be at least 105, 110 to beat the Spurs. Yeah.

My thing is, I'm looking at, I'm looking at Scoot. I'm only going to play 28 minutes where a lot of the start of Deni played, what, almost 40 minutes, Holiday played 36 minutes. He's going to have, you're going to have the, he doesn't. needs to get into 30. Hell, he's young. He ain't a dime 20. What the hell you saved him for? Yeah.

Hey. It's all hands on deck now, Joe. Yeah, I still kind of, I don't know if Portland's still trying to figure it out because at one point of time, Shaden Sharp was a man over here. Yes, yes, yes. And now he come off the bench. Obviously, you know, he played 21 minutes, but I'm like, what happened to all this? So maybe Portland. Did they flip it, Joe?

Because after wasn't sharp starting and Scoot was coming off the bench, and it seemed like they flipped it or something. No, I think that the Denny kid picked it up, and I think they just started featuring him. You know he was an all-star this year on, so it's probably kind of moved somebody back. But due to everything that Portland's been through, I mean, what are there?

Seven C. I mean, hell, this don't surprise them. You know, they're going to have some lumps and lows in the game. You know what I mean? Like, you're playing against top caliber club in the Spurs. So, I mean, I don't know how much we can expect from, you know, the Blazers on the road. game one, you know, they're still trying to find their way.

But I think they'll get better as the series continues. Yeah, but when Denny is playing like that, but here is the thing go, Joe, is that you're going to, they're going to have to do something about these runs. You got, you, you got to suppress that. You can't let them go. I mean, because the game was right there and you looked up, it was, they were down 19 in like two minutes.

Yeah, yeah. Because, and the thing is that when you're on the road, you can't take those ill-advised shots because you're going to get runouts and you're going to get guys out of positions and now you got guys they're shooting a shoot around threes or they're getting all the way to the basket. So you got,

Portland, you're already on the man because if you look at it, you're on the road, you're playing a 62 win team. You've got to play damn near flawless in order to beat this team. And taking the count of shots that shot 43% from the floor, 26% from the three point line.

That won't get it done. Hey, Uncle Joe. When it comes to Wemby, obviously playing the Spurs, is Wimby in the same type of situation like Yokit? Like, there's really nothing you could do. You just got to hope you can contain the other four players on the court because he's going to get his no matter what you try to do. Man, hey, look, if I'm being honest, yeah.

Man, you see how that man out there dribbling the ball going between the team? The man came for the pump fake. he threw it out there, did a baby sham guy, went into a spin. That was a little bit too much sauce he put on that one. Coach brought the pain

right after that one. But I'm saying, man, for him to be that big, for him to be that big, bro, and to move the way he moved, it's going to be hard for anybody to guard him.

Okay, Ocho. They don't need but one dribble for real to be at the rim if we just be, you know. And he can pull up and shoot threes. Yeah, not only that, but he's so comfortable, maneuvering offensively. I just want to, I think, at seven, four, seven, five,

I think, you know, I know they gain rebound. You got a lot of guys with at least five rebounds or more, but he probably needed a rebound a little more. If I'm just nitpicking, you know, if I'm just nitpicking it at this game. But for the most part, Ocho, they ain't going to have nobody who can stop him, bro. No. The biggest difference between him and Yoke is that Yoke is going to give you double-digit assist. Right.

Hell, and rebound. Yon Rope is a reluctant score. Now, hey, if you go one, if you leave him one-on-one, he's going to punish you now. He's waiting for you to come to trap because he knows most people you're not going to single yoke one-on-one. And the same thing with Wimby,

but the problem is with Wimby, is that Wimby, yeah, he can't post, but Wimby, like Joe said, he'll get the ball on the wing. He's three-point. You got to guard him from the three-point line. Right. And he ain't looking,

yon get you shoot a set shot three. You know, you leave him open. Wimby will pull up from three. He would dance on you and then pull up from three. Yes, yes. Hey, that big boy got some. moves, man. I ain't going to lie. It's impressive to watch move and play because we've never seen

nothing like that. No. You know, they always talk about, yeah, they always talk about Will chamber chamber, yeah, we ain't seen no footage but we see it. Well, they're doing this. A seven four, seven five guy. Hey, hey, moving like he's six three. We've seen a lot of guys. We've seen Shaq bring the ball down, but to handle

the ball like that, yeah, consistently get the ball at the three-point line and he'll, hey, he'll dribble, hey, he'll get a middy. And like you said, Joe, he'll handle it, shoot a three. faster to him in the corner. He's like, take that with you. No, we've never seen anything like this.

I mean, basically, he's a probably guy that's five, four, five inches taller than Kevin Durant. Yeah. And doing what he's doing because of Kevin Durant, we'd never seen anything like that. We saw Dirk from seven foot, but Dirk can't have handles like that. Dirk with the one leg step back. He had the post game.

I ain't going to lie to you to be moving like that at 7-4. That's crazy. I think, look, the Spurs won, but I didn't think the Spurs bench because that's normally where they get you at. You know, Kelton Johnson normally come in to get your big minutes. Carter Bryant normally gives you big minutes.

I thought Cornett really played well. Dylan Harper gave, had six points. But their bench is normally more than that. Yeah. And they're going to have, and I think they'll be better. Would I be surprised if Portland got a game in Portland? I wouldn't be, Joe. I wouldn't either.

I wouldn't either. I think they got enough talent. And I think a lot of them young cats will play a lot better at home. You know what I mean? But in San Antonio, I don't see them get no win in San Antonio. Yeah. Hey, I'm with Wimby. Look, look.

Because they can guard. The problem that a lot of people have when they go up against OKC, they can't guard. Like, hey, Castle can guard, Champini can guard. Obviously, Wembe is going to go throw everything that's close in there. They got guys that can guard. Yeah. Yeah, they do.

And they ain't got no answer for Wemby. I know Chad is, but Chad, Chad, Chad, Chad, Hardenstein, they're going to have to run it. Yeah, they ain't fooling with him. They had to be physical with him, run him in the ground, boy, that'd be a hell of a city. You got to. You got to let Hardenstein, you got to let Hardinstein bang on him. Yeah. Because the thing is, you know, if you lose Hardinstein, that's okay, but you rough him up a little bit.

You can't afford to have both of those guys in foul trouble. Getting tired. Now you had a decided mismatch. Yeah, yeah. Hey, that'd be a great matchup. Yeah, but I, like, like, I like, Like I said, I just think they got to get more. They got to get more.

I mean, you got, look, you got production out of school. Henderson, I don't know if you thought you'd get seven of 11, 18 points out of school. You know what you're going to get from Denny. And he gave you what you thought you would get, 30, 10, and 4. Okay, maybe you like to see the assist total a little high, but hell, they couldn't make any shots. Assists ain't really on you. It's on them. They got to make shots for you to get the assist up.

And they shot 43% from the floor. But they got to get more. They got to get more. They had three starters. and had 21 points between their three startups. That ain't good enough. Robert Williams came in and gave him quality minutes. He had 11 and 6 and 17 minutes.

He did. He gave great minutes, four assists. And like I said, man, they got a lot of talent over there. I think they're going to kind of figure it out as the series go. Like I said, the playoffs don't really start until somebody loses on their home floor. They all they got to do, you know, do what they can to try to win game 6 but protect that. By the time they get home, it's kind of like the Atlanta and the Knicks series, If I'm just keeping the 100, I'd rather I'd rather start on the road with a young team

who doesn't have experience. That way we can kind of see engage the intensity of the NBA playoffs and how we need to approach it, you know what I mean? So, yeah, you can gauge that in the first two games if you're on the road, but when you get home, we need to know what to expect. You know what I mean? You got to come with that thomper when you get to the crib, you can't be playing. Hey, Joe, that's dangerous, that, Joe, because, you know, you go to that.

down 02, 02 in the hole, and then you come home in that third game, now you got the pressure on you where you got to show up and you got to play. Shoot, it ain't really too much games you need to do, boys playoff basketball now. Hey, Ocho, experience is the best teacher, baby. Okay. You know what I mean? Hey, hey, some cats gonna have to learn on the fly. It's just like, we're going to the playoffs.

Yeah, I could tell you how the play is going to be Ocho, but until you get out there in that environment and that and really feel it, and that's the only way you're going to really know. You know what I mean? So them guys are kind of settling in, get a little comfortable, relax a little bit. And I think the games will start to, you know, come out a little more. So the Spurs take a 1-0 lead on the Portland Trailblazers thing to a 11-198 victory. Victor Wimmyi Yama sets a Spurs record for most points in a playoff debut. He passed the great Timmy Duncan.

And the first home team to lose this playoffs were the number one seat in the Eastern Conference. Thanks to Paulo Banquero, he had 23 points as the Magic beat the Pistons, 112 to 1-on-1. Apollo made up for that first time they lost. He had 23 points, 9 rebounds, 4-s6, the 8-seat Orlando Magic went on the road to Detroit, and they won.

The top-seeded pistons extended their longest home playoff losing streak in NBA history. They have dropped 11 straight home games in the postseason, the drought that dates back to 2008. Cade Cunningham scored a career playoff high 39 points. Tobias Harris added 17 for the Pistons, but the rest of their teammates was relatively quiet. You know, sometimes, you know,

and creating space and causing havoc, getting to the free-dove line, and making these dudes guard you. Every since then, bro, he's been a totally different player. You know what I mean? He came out. He's established himself early,

meaning getting easy buckets, getting into the teeth of the defense, which is getting into paint, making these guys try and stop him, and it's just been tough. Other guys have came along for the ride, and they've been fun to watch. They've been a top team,

you know, a team who I think before the season started, a lot of people picked them to be at the top of the east. Yes. Probably a top four, top five teams. Yes, right. And they disappointed in that aspect. But, man, they got a prime opportunity in front of them because the thing about Detroit, we always talk about it, Uncle Ocho.

Kay got to be great, enduring got to be. And he was. You know, yeah. I mean, you got to, they only had two guys in double figures, Detroit, bro. That's it. Got them. Tobias and goddamn Kate. That's it, bro.

In the playoffs, Joe, your best players, got to be your best players. and then I get some help, I get some supplementary help from somebody else. My role player, one or two of those, give me something. Jalen Dern is going to be an all, he's going to be an all-NBA player. You gave me, you gave me eight points and seven rebounds.

Now, what we got to see is, okay, Detroit been one of the best teams in the NBA. Now we got to see what y'all really made up because y'all don't lost on y'all home floor. Oh, yeah. Now you know you got to get the next one. Hey, look, now and do you got to get the next one, but you have to win, you have to win in Orlando.

So, yeah, Brooks are going to get a couple wide-open shots, a couple of middles, same with Green. But if they're not shooting at a high clip, meaning over 50%, it's going to be hard.

It's going to even compete in any game in this series. You know what I mean? They have to be efficient, bro, in order for them to be effective. Look, you get nothing from your bigs. You don't get nothing for them. I mean, if them three guys, Booker Green and Brooks don't, ain't put

up at least 25 a night plus. I'm talking about all of them going to have to be in the 20s just to compete. Yeah. But it's, I mean, look, I think Dillon Brooks has had a phenomenal year. But if he's shooting the ball 22 times and he's going to 6 or 22, you're going to get beat just like this. If he go three or 10 from the three-point line, you're going to get beat just like this. Now, he can, he come out aggressive too.

I'm talking about he took like the third two, three, something like, damn. Hey, you know what to that? Yeah, I listen. And what happens is, you, you're like, it's, it's, you're like, it's, fool's goal. Because you know, hey, you know what I'm saying?

I'm sleeping in my bed, and I got my crowd behind me. I'm not counting on road players to go on the road and play out of their minds. I'm counting on Booker. Book is the guy. I'm counting on Booker to play out of his mind. But the problem is they got five guys

that they can throw it book. They got five guys they can throw a book and wear his ass down. They're going to give him hell. Yeah. So now, okay, Jalen Green, you remember those two playing games, Jalen Greene played out of his damn mind.

Yes. And he has that a capability. He could go on a streak and you see he had 35 one night 36 the next night he has that kind of ability hey listen streaky

You said, don't worry, we're going to get you back on another squad. You got a film. And nothing was shaking. I couldn't figure out what was going on. They said, we're going to get you with the XFL. Now, I can't speak on it too in detail, but there was some close affiliations with the XFL in WWE at the time. So when I sent it.

I send my information to the XFL. I get an email from WWE to the next day. They say, are you interested in coming in for a trial? Now, I'm thinking to myself, you know, I ain't never thought about wrestling. You know what I mean? Yeah. I don't know, man. Oh, WWE, y'all got a football team because I'm looking to play wildest.

You know what I'm saying? You know what I played football for 20 years. You know what I mean? I enjoy wrestling. I'm an attitude-era kid. So, you know what I mean? My first customer was opening a can of woodpads, watching Stone. code Steve Austin.

Stone code, you know what I'm saying? Like, so I was familiar with the product, but I just didn't think about it for myself. You know how it is when you're playing your sport. You locked in. It's tunnel business.
