Ocho, the Wolves beat the Mavs. Ant-Man almost had a triple double. He had 29 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists. The youngest player in NBA history to have one of
Starting point is 00:04:00 those numbers in an elimination game. Cat was the difference in the ball game. Shot 9 of 13, 4 of 5 from the 3 point line, 3 of 3 from the free throw line. Although he was in foul trouble the majority of the night and he ended up fouling out of the game,
Starting point is 00:04:16 he gave them 25 big points and I think he had like 20 or 22 in the second half. But they stave off elimination, fourth of game five. And now they're going back to Minnesota trying to keep their playoff hopes alive. Well, obviously they don't have to try anything.
Starting point is 00:04:32 Cause I told you what was going to happen. They purposely allow themselves to fall into a hole and they're going to shock the world. I told you now the difference is the night game, but the difference in the first, first two game, the difference in the first two games, first three. This was game four or game three? This was game four. Okay.
Starting point is 00:04:50 The difference in the first two games was their big two, Kyrie and Luka. The difference in tonight's game was goddamn Ant-Man and Cat. Cat, game three, he was horrendous from three. Cat tonight from three was phenomenal. Ant-Man is going to show you why he's the face of the league. I had a lot of people laughing at me, making jokes.
Starting point is 00:05:12 What makes you think he's the face of the league? They are 0-3 right now. He's going to show you. He's going to show you. My words never go wrong. And if I say the Wolves are going to win in seven, they're going to win in seven. Now watch. It's never been done before. You're witnessing history.
Starting point is 00:05:31 I'm telling you right now, Chad, you're witnessing history. I'm never wrong on stuff like this. I think the difference in tonight's game, Cat was aggressive early. He didn't shoot a three ball until late. And then he got the ball. He got the started posting up. He started driving the basketball and then he saw the ball start to go in. And when the ball started to go in, he gained more and more confidence. And he shot those. He wasn't forced.
Starting point is 00:05:52 Hey, great swing passes. If you notice tonight, they ran the offense through Ant-Man. Ant-Man had nine assists. He did a great job. Yeah, he had six turnovers, but you put him in a position that's normally Mike Conley's job. They switched the defensive assignments. They put Jaden
Starting point is 00:06:07 McDaniels on Kyrie. They put Ant-Man on Luka. That seemed to work. Now, what's going to be the counter? What is going to be Jason Kidd's counter to what he saw tonight? But yeah, the Minnesota one, they played better.
Starting point is 00:06:24 They got great production from their big two. And that's what you have to have. At some point in time, your big two is going to have to play the opposition's big two. And tonight they did. And they went on the road and they won a ball game. I got one small issue. One small issue. Ant-Man, I know you're going to see this at some point because y'all watch the show.
Starting point is 00:06:41 When he puts the ball on the floor and he's able to drive from perimeter inside when he's mid-range he keeps hesitating he gets he keeps hesitating after he's missing the shot miss after he's missed a shot or two right man don't hesitate man keep on shooting man pull the trigger every single time every single time there are a few times where he beat his man off the perimeter he gets gets inside, mid-range shot, and instead of just taking it, just shooting it, he passes it back out and trying to facilitate. Man, shoot your shot. And it kind of looks like, even though I'm new to the game of basketball,
Starting point is 00:07:18 it kind of looks like he's hesitant and is not trusting his shot in certain instances. He got to let that thing go, man. He did overpass the ball a couple of times. He's 15 to 10 feet away. Go ahead and take that shot. They trust you more than anybody else. So shoot the shot. If you make or miss, they'll
Starting point is 00:07:37 live with that because you played well thus far. But I like the adjustment that they made. They put the ball in Ant-Man's hand. They let him, like, bro, we need you to be aggressive. We need you to also open things up because they're going to have to come to double-team. And so now if you're going to double-team him, now you're going to get
Starting point is 00:07:54 Cat with some easy baskets. Now you get Jaden McDaniels making some easy baskets. And so that's what you do. You make the offense a lot easier for everyone else when Ant-Man is aggressive because they have to scramble to try to send two people at him and somebody's going to be wide open i thought mike collie was aggressive early also yeah he did a great job in the first half of getting going uh he got going early ant-man
Starting point is 00:08:16 was extremely aggressive he had 14 points yeah in the first quarter yeah uh but and then he got it going in the fourth quarter give those guys credit though joe they found a way to win the game when no one really gave them a chance outside of that locker room i'm sure some of their fans like hey we're gonna win this thing but dallas dallas dallas didn't play well they didn't play they seemed like they was lagging the whole night like minnesota's just gonna lay down nobody wants to to get swept. You see how hard Indiana played last night? Nobody wants to get swept. Listen, and Luka scared me
Starting point is 00:08:50 again, man. Like, yes, baby. I love you too, baby. Listen, Luka scared me again tonight, man. He scared me again tonight. Obviously, the pump fake, get drawing Cat in, forcing Cat to foul out. Then Ty like, come on, man.
Starting point is 00:09:05 What we doing? And then I just talked about, I just talked about Rudy saying why was Rudy Gobert in the game in game three and that situation allowed Luka to hit that shot. And I said, well,
Starting point is 00:09:15 it should have been Cat. Now it was Cat and the same thing happened again. First of all, you don't want to give him a clean look at the basket. Yeah. And so Luka knows that.
Starting point is 00:09:27 So once he picks up his dribble and he hadn't shot, he hadn't shot the ball, he know Rudy's going to try to jump. So once he put the pump face in, Rudy's up in there. That was, excuse me,
Starting point is 00:09:37 the cat was up in the air. And so once he pump face him, he knows I got you dead right now. You at my mercy. Because physics won't allow you to jump and then turn your body so you're missing. But I think we need to give Minnesota a lot of credit. They did a great job on the glass. They out-rebounded, although it was only by two.
Starting point is 00:09:55 But I thought Cat was the difference in the ballgame. Yes, Ant-Man was extremely aggressive. 29, what did he have, 28 points? No, he had 29 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists. Yeah. But Cat only played 30 minutes, and he was plus 15 and plus minus. 25 points, 5 rebounds, 1
Starting point is 00:10:14 assist. I thought he did a great job of helping Ant tonight because they needed him. They needed Cat. He could not have given them a performance like he's given them in the first three games, Ocho. Right, no. They would have lost. They would have been home.
Starting point is 00:10:30 No matter how good Ant played, and Ant played exceptional tonight, if Cat doesn't give you that, you're going home. Right. You are pretty late tonight lady say hi
Starting point is 00:10:48 why you quiet say hi say what's up say what's up I ain't got nothing to say also I thought this would be a close game i did think dallas would eke it out but lively is a different animal he's more active around the basket than gafford and gafford played well tonight but to be able to rotate those big
Starting point is 00:11:18 bodies uh they tried to go with the white pile luuka looked at the bench twice, like, get him out of here. He fumbled the ball one time. He didn't hit the correct screen. And so Luka looked at the bench for the second time. They took his ass out of the game, and he didn't see any more action. Another thing, Ocho, Kleber just got back. He had an AC joint sprain. If he's not going to shoot the ball, he's no good to him. His ability, he's a stretch.
Starting point is 00:11:44 So if he can't make shots, why is he on the court? Because they're not going to guard him. And he said that, you know, it's still cumbersome. It hurts to shoot the ball. Well, if you're not going to shoot the ball, they're playing five on four. Because you're not good enough in any other area.
Starting point is 00:12:00 You're not a good defender. You're not a great rebounder. You're not a great facilitator. So you don't add anything else to the equation other than your ability to stretch the floor. And if you're not going to stretch the floor by shooting the basketball, what good are your services? Yeah, you're just a liability at that point.
Starting point is 00:12:17 So Minnesota stayed off elimination. They send it back to Minnesota with a 105-100 victory over the Dallas Mavericks. Ant-Man, 29 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists. Mike Conley had 14 points on three or four free throws, one or four from the three-point line. Cat, 25 big points, three or three from the free throw line, four or five from the three.
Starting point is 00:12:42 They got 13 points and 10 rebounds from Rudy Gobert. They got 10 points from 10 rebounds from Rudy Gobert. They got 10 points from Jaden McDaniels. Nakia Alexander had six points. Naz Reed had six. And Kyle Anderson had two. And never forget, never forget, like I said, Chad, stay with me now.
Starting point is 00:13:02 Wolves in seven. We are witnessing history, and it will be made. I don't know about that. I don't know. It's time for our first segment of the night and it's called a News Cap. News Cap. Go, baby.
Starting point is 00:13:21 Go, baby. Go, baby. The Celtics sweep the Pacers en route to the final. the Celtics are where they're supposed to be they were 14 games above and 6.7 better than any other team in the Eastern Conference and you know when you got
Starting point is 00:13:34 JT first team all the NBA Jalen Brown who was the lab bird recipient which means he was the Eastern Conference finals MVP now they're heading to the final lost two games to the first three rounds. The fewest of any finalists in the last seven years. As we mentioned, Jalen Brown averaged 29 points a game
Starting point is 00:13:53 on 52% shooting, five rebounds, three assists. He made the biggest shot of the series when he hit a game-tying three in game one. Who knows how the series would have changed, how it would have turned out. They definitely would have been playing a game five at the bare minimum. But he's the Eastern Conference Finals MVP. The last couple of games, JT really picked up his scoring,
Starting point is 00:14:17 but it was Derek White again making a big three in the corner that puts him up by three. And the thing is, Ocho, if you watched this game last night, the Pacers are in position, but the inexperience shows its head again. Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers. Turnovers. You got it. And on top of those turnovers, the Celtics got points off of those turnovers
Starting point is 00:14:42 as well. I think the funny thing, but the Pacers fought. The Pacers fought very, very, very, very, very well and trying to do all they can to make sure it wasn't a sweep. But obviously, without Halliburton, it was already
Starting point is 00:14:57 a tall task if he was playing. But without him playing, it was almost impossible. But they did play well. I don't want to get his name the wrong way. Nimhard. Nimhard. Oh, hey, boy.
Starting point is 00:15:12 Hey, young Bull. Yeah, he stepped up. Young Bull left it all on the court last night. He left it all on the court last night. He played well. He played really well. They got a player. They got a player.
Starting point is 00:15:24 Now, we've seen him take big shots that big shot that he hit against the knicks uh what was that game three hit a big shot a couple years ago uh i think he had a big shot against the lakers that beat them at the game was tied and uh they were up one uh lakers were up one and uh he ends up hitting a three and winning the game so he's not afraid to take and make big shots. But I was very, I was very excited to see how well he played. He's a young player. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:50 He has some unfortunate turnovers and some crucial situations, but he'll learn from that and he'll be a better player for it. But I like, I like, I like the way he played in this team. They got to be in something special. They can be good. Everybody's going to, you know,
Starting point is 00:16:11 free agency is about to hit in the next month or so. And the next thing, hey, we can make it true. We can lure somebody in free agency. I'm sure the Sixers are saying, hey, we can lure somebody in free agency. Miami's definitely, Pat Riley is always looking to lure someone to Miami to pair with Jimmy Butler and bam. And so it's going to be very, very interesting
Starting point is 00:16:31 to see how this thing shakes out. But congratulations to the Indiana Pacers. They did, they put up a valiant effort, but the Celtics were just too good down the stretch in the clutch situations. And that's what I wanted to see because far too many times in the regular season, we've seen them lose games like they won games one, three, and four.
Starting point is 00:16:51 So give those guys credit. They're moving on to the 23rd NBA Finals, trying to break the tie. They have both the Lakers and the Celtics have 17 championships apiece. Now it's the quest for 18. And this is the year for Jason Tatum, huh? He got to do it this year, huh? So is the championship a bust? It's always.
Starting point is 00:17:13 No. It's always. That's the Celtics. I mean, certain teams, you know, that's LeBron, that's Steph, that's KD. Championship a bust. I mean, what are you playing for? I mean, you got all the accolades.
Starting point is 00:17:26 You've won MVPs. You've won finals. You've won scoring titles. You've been All-NBA. You've been the All-Star game. So what are you playing for now? Right. That's it.
Starting point is 00:17:34 Jason Tatum. You a three-time first-team All-NBA selection. You've been an All-Star. Right. You're going to the Olympics. What are you playing for now if it's not championships? So, yes, absolutely. It's championship or bust. Yeah. Are you going to the Olympics? What are you playing for now if it's not championships? So, yes, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:17:47 It's championship or bust. Yeah. Go. Go. Mommy wants you. Gordon Hayward's wife had a lot to say on IG today. Robin Hayward said, why trade for someone and not play them? Missed it by not integrating him.
Starting point is 00:18:05 Since I have time today, before the trade, Gordon told sam he didn't think the trade made sense uh so how can he miss when a player told you again hi brody not sure if you know this but you need a ball in order to shoot hey i like that i like that the I like that. The wife coming to the defense of the player. And obviously, you do need the ball to shoot. I know Gordon Hayward a little bit. Not personally, obviously. The few games that I have watched before I started doing nightcap and I've seen him play.
Starting point is 00:18:41 If I'm not mistaken, he's a good perimeter shooter. He's good from three, if I'm not mistaken. I've seen him when he was with the Hornets, right? He was with the Hornets at one point. Yeah, you know, decent player. So I'm not sure how it's come to this point where he's not efficient or effective. And if he was traded on the team, they traded for him for a reason. So why wasn't he used in the right way? The man said, I made a mistake.
Starting point is 00:19:00 Wake up with football every morning and listen to my new podcast, NFL Daily with Greg Rosenthal. That's Patrick Claiborne, Steve Weiss, Nick Shook, Jordan Rodrigue from The Athletic, and of course,
Starting point is 00:19:29 Colleen Wolfe. This is their window right now. This is their Super Bowl window. Why would they trade him away? Because he would be a pivotal part of them winning that Super Bowl. I don't know why, Colleen. Catch the podcast, the NFL Daily with Greg Rosenthal every day. Subscribe today and you'll immediately be smarter and funnier than your friends. And who doesn't want that? Listen now on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. You ever made a mistake? You ever bought something and say to say man i shouldn't have bought that yeah but that's not nice to say especially at the gm when you're in that position listen listen to me a position of power and there are certain things that you're supposed
Starting point is 00:20:18 to keep you said you want you don't see when when when i say that about player you get upset with me when coaches say certain things about players you get upset with me. When coaches say certain things about players, you get upset. Why are you getting upset if they're telling the truth? You say telling the truth sets you free. Yeah, I mean, telling the truth will set you free, but is it right for a person in his position to say something like that about a player? Because, you know, other players see stuff like that and be like, you know what? Hell no, I don't want to go play with him.
Starting point is 00:20:44 That's how they feel about you. He to go say he was a bad player he said based on what i he said listen what happened he said we were a different team than when we got him because guys started to play better if guys starting to play better what am i gonna do so i'm gonna take him out or i'm gonna take jaylen williams out or i'm gonna take chad out or i'm gonna take lou Jalen Williams out or I'm going to take Chad out or I'm going to take Lou Dort out. Let's be real. Gordon Haywood hadn't been the same since he broke that leg in Boston. Let's be all the way real. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:13 He had great, he had great seasons in Utah. Yes. But bro, man, it's been a long time since Utah. We got to stop this. No.
Starting point is 00:21:22 Sam Preston said, look, we made a mistake. I missed on that one. He can't be perfect. I mean, he traded for Shea. He drafted Jalen Williams. He drafted Chet. I mean, every other
Starting point is 00:21:34 thing that he's done. He got what he could out of the Russ trade. He brought Chris Paul in, traded him, got some more compensation. I think he's done a great job. All he's saying, he's not saying Gordon Hayward is a bad player. He said, I missed
Starting point is 00:21:48 because coming here, we got better and there was no room for him to play. I don't like that. There's always room. There's always a room for a player of his caliber.
Starting point is 00:21:59 He's not that player anymore, Ocho. How do we know he's not that player if he hasn't been afforded the opportunity to show you? Why Charlotte trade him if he's that player?, Ocho? How do we know he's not that player if he hasn't been afforded the opportunity to show you? Why Charlotte trade him then if he's that player? Why Charlotte trade him if he's that player? Why Boston trade him if he's that player? Charlotte was dumping at that time
Starting point is 00:22:16 and rebuilding, if I'm not mistaken, right? Rebuilding what? The house already the house is already down. My point exactly. Think about it. Remember, he was there. Wasn't he? Hold on.
Starting point is 00:22:27 Wasn't he there with Jalen Brown and Jason Tatum and Big Al? Yeah. How'd that work out for him? So why is he not in Boston? You are sure. You know, listen, the game of basketball is different. And it's all about what have you done for me lately? Unless you're a super, super duper star,
Starting point is 00:22:45 then you really ain't going nowhere unless you force your hand and you want out. It's like D. Rose. D. Rose wasn't the same player after he tore his knee. Gordon Hayward was not the same player after he broke his leg. He just wasn't. He wasn't.
Starting point is 00:23:02 Nobody in the chat, even the staunchest Gordon Hayward fan will tell you, he's not the same player. Not even close. He's a shell of himself. And could he have been the seventh guy? But that's not what he's making it seem like. He should have been the sixth man in the starting rotation.
Starting point is 00:23:22 Bro, that's not you anymore. That's tough. How is it tough? That's tough because I'm sitting here thinking about the players. I'm not saying he's Adrian Peterson, but Adrian Peterson tore his ACL and came back and was still that boy.
Starting point is 00:23:40 I'm thinking about all the other players that have been injured before. Kevin Durant, Kevin Durant tore his Achilles, came back and was still at court. PG came back. Tell me Mr. Gordon broke his leg and came back and all of a sudden he's not the same. Wasn't him close. Let me ask you a question. When Derrick Rose tore his knee, was he ever that same player?
Starting point is 00:24:03 I'm just asking you, was he the same player? We know he was special. He's the youngest MVP in NBA history, so we know he's special. Was he the same? It took away some of his skill and ability, and the explosion that he did had, yes. So what about Gordon Hayward?
Starting point is 00:24:20 So what did Gordon Hayward average in Utah? He was like a 20-point scorer. He made the all-star team. Yeah, yeah. Me personally, I thought he was overvalued from the jump. That's just me personally. Watching the game, watching him play, I thought he was overvalued. Okay, the Celtics thought it would be a great acquisition.
Starting point is 00:24:38 Okay, fine. I ain't got no problem with that. But his last couple of years in Utah. What did he average? He was like a 20 and 26 guy. 22. Yeah, 22, five, 22, five and three. Okay, in Boston.
Starting point is 00:25:01 What was his best year in Boston? Yeah, he made all-star team his last year in Utah. That's how he got that max contract. He probably should have stayed there. But okay, he wanted to win. He didn't think he could win in Utah. I got no problem with that. I commend the guy for giving up that fifth year and going to Boston
Starting point is 00:25:17 because he thought they had a better chance of winning. He broke his leg like the first game of the season. Ah. Next season, they averaged 17. He averaged 11, then 17. Went to Charlotte.
Starting point is 00:25:39 Average 20. See? See? See? 15. Okay, after that 20 season in charlotte 15 nine ah hello are we understanding why those numbers are decreasing because the playing time is decreasing as well i don't think i'm personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with Gordon Hayward.
Starting point is 00:26:06 I just think he's not getting the playing time that's needed to score the 20, to score the 19. That's all. And I know I'm right. I know I'm right. Because you just don't fall off a goddamn cliff simply because you broke your goddamn leg.
Starting point is 00:26:19 Yeah, sometimes you're not the same player. I mean, it's not like he had great athleticism to begin with. Yeah, I'm assuming he's a perimeter shooter. Mid-range is good. I'm assuming he's nice from three. Let's just say you're only a step better and you lose that step. Then what happens, Ocho? Then if you have that weakness what your team can do they can run
Starting point is 00:26:48 plays for you to free you up that's that's that's that's that's what that's what they do in the nba that's what they do in the nfl when a certain player has weaknesses and he can't win on his own you scheme and then when the season's over what what do they do with that player? They move on. You know how when a player gets old and he's not giving you that same production, they ask you to take a pay cut first, right? Hey, bro. Hey, hey. Yeah, you know, we know you used to give us $1,300, $1,400.
Starting point is 00:27:21 Can you give us $1,250 for a third of the salary? Nah, man. I can't put. Okay, well, then we're going to have to release you. Yeah. Me, personally, look, like I said, I watch Gordon Hayward. I know his game. He was an outstanding player.
Starting point is 00:27:40 I didn't have him as a top 20 player, but he was a solid player. 22, 5, and 3. Yeah. Says that he's a solid player. Getting those numbers in the NBA, good. But he goes to Boston. I'm not so sure that was the best fit when you got JT and JB to play three. That's a nice three-hitter.
Starting point is 00:27:57 For someone that's scoring 22 a game. They're basically the same guy. All of them are small forwards. So, if he was a big, and now you got JB and JT, you can slide either one. You can make those, they don't change, but you can play them at the three, the four, you can slide one to the two.
Starting point is 00:28:14 But they're really the same. Well, goddammit, tell goddammit, say, hey, well, come on down to Miami. We'll take him. We'll take him. We're supposed to know what to do with you. Come on down here, Gordon Hayward. I know you're going to see this. Come on down to Miami. We know
Starting point is 00:28:29 what to do with you, boy. We know how to use our players. Pat could have traded for him. When? At the trade deadline. When he left Boston? Like OKC traded for him.
Starting point is 00:28:46 I mean, it depends on what we had at the time. He might not have been on our radar at the time, but now that this is coming out and the wife has to defend him because of an individual that comes out publicly and says he's made a mistake, you know? You don't do that. Yeah, I'm surprised.
Starting point is 00:29:01 I'm surprised Sam Presti said that, Ocho. I'm not going to disagree with you because that doesn't sound like him. But I'm sure probably in the exit interview, probably what you heard is that Gordon Hayward probably said some of the same things,
Starting point is 00:29:20 that he wasn't excited about his time. He felt he should have gotten more minutes. And, you know... You know what happened if he had gotten more minutes? He would have scored more goddamn points, especially when you had the green light to shoot.
Starting point is 00:29:34 Sometimes you go to certain places, you don't feel comfortable, you're walking on eggshells, and that's why not only the decrease in minutes, but the decrease in points from Utah toah to boston that is a reason why they went down okc shit charlotte i just thought i just don't see anyone that was scoring 22 6 and 5 just falling completely off the cliff but he's not that player that would warrant 35, 40 minutes. Okay.
Starting point is 00:30:08 You see what I'm saying? In order to score the amount of points that he's playing, he's probably playing 38 minutes where he's no longer that guy. So he can't give you that kind of production. So if you're not playing those kind of minutes, how can I give you the same? how can i give you the same production if you don't give me the same number of targets if you cut my targets in half you're gonna cut my production in half yeah a running back gets 300 carries he rushes for 1500 yards you give him 150 you still think he's gonna get 1500 it's not gonna happen oh you catch it you catch it for 1400 yards but i'm giving you 150 targets
Starting point is 00:30:53 a season well i'm only gonna give you 100 targets you ain't going for that number because now 100 targets that means you got to catch every ball and average 14 15 yards to catch just to get to 1400 yards which you would don't right 14, 15 hundred yards, which you would know, bro, you're going to lead the league. You will be top three if you average 15 yards a catch on that many catches. Right. So that's why I just, like I said, I'm
Starting point is 00:31:16 surprised. I am surprised that Sam Preston, like I made a mistake. Yeah, it's stuff like that. You keep in house a lot of time, but's stuff like that you keep in house. A lot of times. Other GMs have made mistakes as well, whether it be
Starting point is 00:31:30 MLB, whether it be NBA, whether it be NFL. They don't come out and publicly say, you know what, I made a mistake. How do you think it makes that individual feel that you made that mistake on? How do you think other players feel about coming to an organization where you feel, well, damn, if you can do that to Gordon Hayward,
Starting point is 00:31:47 what the hell do you think about me? They got a young team. They didn't want to mess up their chemistry. They had a great rotation going. If you look at those guys, that's still the youngest roster in the NBA. They made it to the second round. Their core players, Shea, Jalen Williams, Chet, Lou Dort, Isaiah Joe. They got some nice pieces. Josh
Starting point is 00:32:09 Giddy. They got some nice pieces. They need another big. They need another big and maybe another front line player. Man, hey, Paul George, you interested in coming back? Put Paul George with Shea. Or go get a big. Go get a Andre Drummond that can take some minutes off interested in coming back? Put Paul George with Shaq.
Starting point is 00:32:25 Or go get a big, go get a Andre Drummond that can take some minutes off chat, that can battle with a Jokic, that can battle with some of the bigs down low. Yeah, for sure. I like it. But Mrs. Hayward
Starting point is 00:32:42 was not happy with what Sam Presti said and she voiced her opinion rightfully so she should have cussed his ass out send a letter matter of fact write goddamn not David Stern what's the young boy's name
Starting point is 00:32:57 that's the commissioner oh you talking about Adam Silver yeah write Adam Silver just voicing your displeasure with the comments by a general manager. Somebody at a position of power that's at a seat that high shouldn't be making that kind of comment. Shit. God damn it.
Starting point is 00:33:19 Yeah. Is he a free agent? He's going to be an agent. He's a free agent? He's going to be an agent if he's a free agent. Yeah, come on down to Miami. Mr. Hayward. Come on down to Miami. We know what to do with you. He a free agent.
Starting point is 00:33:37 Okay, we're going to see how many takers he get. He a free agent. Oh, he going to get some takers. Listen, it might not have worked at OKC sometimes process of elimination
Starting point is 00:33:49 relationship after relationship after relationship after relationship until you find the one that fit and that's all it is and that's all it is until you find the one that fit and right here in Miami Gordon Haywood is a great place for you okay now if you need help finding a place, I can help you. I got my real estate
Starting point is 00:34:08 license. Come on. How much you think Gordon Haywood has made in his career? Let me see. If you said he was a Max player, I'm not sure when he signed that Max contract, but just off the top of my head, how many years has he been in the league? I mean, 10. No, he's been in the league longer than that, like 12.
Starting point is 00:34:26 12? 14 years. Oh, yeah. He's been in the league 14 years. But, you know, he played the first game and then he missed the entire season. Okay, I can tell you right now, he's probably earned, you tell me if I'm wrong or right, he's probably earned $227
Starting point is 00:34:42 million at this point. Tell me if I'm wrong or right. You need to go higher. Oh, shit. Wait. $283? A little lower. $270. Okay, Rob. $270. Okay. Okay. Okay. $270. God.
Starting point is 00:35:00 Dang. Hey, man. I gotta... I need to... It's too late, Ocho. You should have thought about it. You should have thought about it. All the things, like the baseball players, you see the money they making? 500 million, 700 million. It's too late, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:35:15 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. It ain't never too late. It ain't never too late. While I'm still, listen, while I'm still willing and able and my upper and lower body extremities are still working, there's always a chance.
Starting point is 00:35:26 There's always a chance. I can dream. I can be like the little engine that could. I just got to keep on pushing. Oh, Joe. We should have thought about that, but you know, playing baseball, bat costs money. Glove costs money. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Traveling.
Starting point is 00:35:43 Yeah. Traveling baseball team. Oh, yeah. That costs Traveling. Yeah, yeah. Traveling baseball team. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, you. Oh, yeah. That costs money. Mm-mm. Ain't how that.
Starting point is 00:35:52 Yeah. And plus, that gratification, man. Ain't nobody. Them honeys ain't coming out there sitting in no hot sun. They going to be at the football game or the basketball game. Get the dubs on them. Oh, sure. Isaiah Thomas, little Isaiah Thomas Thomas has an AK pulled on him
Starting point is 00:36:06 in his own city, really tripping how these young kids are moving around I really had a life changing moment yesterday where a kid pulled an AK-47 out on me and the homies and if it wasn't for who I was and him recognizing me in my own city
Starting point is 00:36:22 he probably would have ended all our lives be safe, they different out there listen and him recognizing me in my own city, he probably would have ended all our lives. Be safe. They different out there. Hey, listen. We talking about it? We talking about it or the old Isaac Thomas? I'm talking about little Isaac. I ain't talking about Z.
Starting point is 00:36:34 I'm talking about Boston Celtics. Isaac, yeah, you got to be careful, man. You got to be careful, even if it's your hometown. Yeah, for sure. You got to understand where you are. the younger generation there is no respect there is no respect regardless to who you are what you've done especially in the past uh they they don't see that they don't see that man now the the older cats would probably know who you are and have a little bit more respect
Starting point is 00:37:02 for you and what you've done in your community in the nba knowing that that's where you're from you know they show you a little bit more grace you know them younger cats you know and you think about oh somebody pulled an aka you already know that ain't number somebody young that has no idea and don't care and a a a k oh my bad 47 yeah oh yeah chop chop yeah chop, yeah, chop. I don't really move like that, so I don't really know the abbreviations. My bad. In his hometown of Tacoma, Washington. Yeah, sad. Them young boys, they different. They move different.
Starting point is 00:37:36 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Listen, today, everything is wild today. Everything is wild today. You know, during our day, our day, there was structure there was structure there are certain things you couldn't do unless you got an okay or a green light that's if you run in the streets like that not i'm not saying i'm part of the streets but i had a great understanding of how it worked because it's where i grew up today oh there ain't no
Starting point is 00:38:04 goddamn order they ain't no goddamn order. There ain't no order. Everybody just, they run wild. They run down on you in a minute. Oh, quick. It don't matter who you are. They make you get up. So, yeah, man, it's different. It's a different time now.
Starting point is 00:38:17 So, stay. And wait, hold on. You said he was in his hometown, right? Yeah, Tacoma, Washington. And that's crazy, man. Yeah. That's crazy. And the's crazy, man. Yeah. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:38:27 In the OTAs, the NFL Players Association is working to finalize a proposal to overhaul the offseason starting as soon as 2025, eliminating voluntary on-field workout in the spring
Starting point is 00:38:37 and in favor of a longer training camp ramp up with players reporting in mid-June, early July. Basically, the idea would be rolling extended OTA style or ramp up,
Starting point is 00:38:47 strength and conditioning, non-padded work, et cetera. Straight into training camp without six weeks of break and de-escalation between a major change. Do you like this, Ocho? Absolutely not. Don't change it up. Don't change it up. Because you got to understand what you're doing is also you're taking money out of people's pocket.
Starting point is 00:39:06 Sometimes the players in their contracts, they have incentives to come to these voluntary workouts. And why would you want to extend training camp? Because what they're saying is that... I thought we were about protecting the players. We've long decided that it was about the money. So we've been deciding what it was about the money so we've been deciding what it was about but you can see where this thing is headed
Starting point is 00:39:28 so what we're going to do is that we're going to have this long rollout one preseason game and we're going to hit the game running we're going to hit the field we're going to hit the ground the field running so that's what you're building up to and maybe you still put that in your contract Ocho
Starting point is 00:39:43 maybe you still put that in your contract, Ocho. Maybe you still put that in your contract. Okay, take the money from the program and add it to the end season? I mean, I never had that in my contract because I wasn't going to come. So unless you give me a half a million dollars, I wasn't willing to, for $50,000, I wasn't willing to stay in denver i want to do my own workout right because i know i was going to push myself harder than what i was going to work out there and i was the only one that mike that wasn't required to be an ota in off-season conditioning i was the only one in mike shanahan's career i don't i don't i don't like it though i don't like it though i don't
Starting point is 00:40:21 like taking away the preseason games for those that sign as free agents for those that come out of the college they get an opportunity uh to make the team i don't like it for those that are third fourth fifth and sixth uh round draft picks because they need that film they need that film of those three or four prison get preseason games that they do play in to get a chance, not only to make that squad, but to put themselves on tape as a resume for other teams that might need a body at that position. I don't like it. I don't like it.
Starting point is 00:40:54 I don't like it because it takes away from them and their opportunity to get a chance to play in the NFL. Man, you know how I feel. I mean, I made it because we had five games. That's the only, if we'd had three, I wouldn't have made it. If we'd had four, the conventional, I wouldn't have made it. It was the very last game in which I made it. So you already know how I feel.
Starting point is 00:41:13 I was talking to the commissioner. He's like, what do you think about the new rules? I'm like, Commissioner, I'll be honest with you. I ain't crazy about it. I understand why you guys are implementing because the kickoff, the concussion rate goes up exponentially you're talking about probably extra 20 30 40 percent because the collisions are so great you get 20 miles an hour running this way 20 miles an hour running that way and when they collide
Starting point is 00:41:38 something bad gonna happen eventually every time especially if you you know you do that x amount of time you score on a field goal, you score on a, you know, a punt return or something like that. There are a lot of kicks, even punts,
Starting point is 00:41:50 but I get it. I say for me, probably, probably wouldn't have made it. Probably would have had to wait another year, probably spend some time on a practice squad
Starting point is 00:41:58 for somebody to give me an opportunity. Hopefully I showed enough for the Broncos, but I just made it because of special teams. Made it because of kickoff I was a wide receiver and I would go
Starting point is 00:42:08 down there and like somebody ass up but I didn't care I threw cards into the way I'm making this team but think about that you have five games to do it and you were able to make it because of special teams now imagine them eliminating the offseason program and then having training camp
Starting point is 00:42:23 and then how do these individuals make the team now with no, with nothing to put on film one preseason game. That's not enough. That's not nearly enough, enough opportunities for individual to say like, oh my goodness, look who this is standing out on film where you can make yourself, where you become more than just a number.
Starting point is 00:42:43 You need those games, man. You need the time to put your resume together. And those two, three games during the preseason, it does wonders for players. And Ochoa was still in school. So a lot of guys, a lot of guys were out of school. And so they were in the offseason program. Man, I'm trying to get my degree, man.
Starting point is 00:43:00 I wasn't dropping out of school. Hell no. I'm too close now. So I didn't end up getting there till june and so the ota's were ending like the second week of june so i really only got two weeks of ota's before i had to leave and go do my own thing and then come back but back then and they still do it not sometimes oh joe we came in the rookies and the first year players had to come in like three days before the vets got there.
Starting point is 00:43:26 And so we padded up, we hitting even before the actual training camp in which the vets arrived. Oh yeah. That's Patrick Claiborne, Steve Weiss, Nick Shook, Jordan Rodrigue from The Athletic, and of course, Colleen Wolfe. This is their window right now. This is their Super Bowl window. Starting point is 00:44:42 sometimes rookies report on this day and the advanced report on a later day. But we put pads on. We do a nine on seven. We doing everything that we're going to do in training. Oh, yes. Oh, yes. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:54 Pads. Pads. Pads. Nine on seven. One on one. Listen, the most we put on was shells. Remember the little shells? The little shells we had?
Starting point is 00:45:04 Man, ain't nobody had them things back then. See, back then... They had the shells? You have spider pads. You know the spider pads that you put on up under your shoulder pads? Oh, yeah. The shock. But we didn't have shells
Starting point is 00:45:19 like you. Ocho, we had pads on Wednesday, Thursday, and we had pads on Friday with shorts. There wasn't no shade. What the hell are you talking about? Oh, no. Come on, now. I'm telling you.
Starting point is 00:45:33 Hey, listen. They ran y'all on the ground, man. When I tell people, people don't understand. Bro, 9-0-7 was really putting people down. 7-0-7. 7-0-7 was a third up. You ain-0-7. 7-0-7 was a thud up. You ain't just catching no ball and say, oh, let him catch it. Right, right, right, right.
Starting point is 00:45:50 Oh, man, please. It was a different time back then. Now, probably like the 49ers were the only team that the West Coast system, and you see how they do a lot of teams doing now, they were the only one doing that. And then as that tree started splintering, you got Mike Holman leaving. You got Steve Murray. You got other guys leaving.
Starting point is 00:46:12 They brought and implemented that system. You got Andy. Yeah. Okay. Mike Holman took a lot of those guys with him to Green Bay. He took Andy Reed. He took John Gruden, who took Steve Mariucci. And so as those guys started getting head coaching jobs,
Starting point is 00:46:28 they started implementing that West Coast system where you're only hitting about 10 times a week, and that's normally on Thursday. Everything else is in shells because you're practicing speed, not so much hitting. But, oh, no, back in 90 to 92? You kidding me? Boy, they got butter from a duck back then. Yes, sir.
Starting point is 00:46:51 Yes, indeed. Y'all better than me. Because I had a few times, and obviously I can say it now, some of the times when we would have to have on pads on a Wednesday times, and obviously I can say it now, some of the times when we would have to have on pads on a Wednesday practice, I'd be out there in my shells because nobody was going to hit me anyway.
Starting point is 00:47:14 Listen, I wore a size small shoulder pads anyway. I wore very small shoulder pads just so I could be light, but I put my shells on. In New England? What? Belichick, you had to have thigh pads, knee pads.
Starting point is 00:47:30 You know how in the locker room, where the equipment room is, and they have the diagram, I'm supposed to wear the dress, the little robot, it got out everything? That's how you got to go to practice in New England. Really? Everybody.
Starting point is 00:47:43 Everybody. Oh, he'll send you in. Everybody. Thigh pads, knee pads, shoulder pads, everything. Mike, the way we practice, Mike said, the way you play the game, that's how I want you to come to practice.
Starting point is 00:47:58 Well, me and a lot of us, the DBs, they have no thigh pads, no knee pads, no hip pads. So, Mike said, that's the way you go in the game? Now, Dan Reed's like, okay, you ain't got to wear no thigh pads, but if you get a thigh bruise,
Starting point is 00:48:14 it's going to cost you about $5,000. Ooh! Oh, Joe. Hey, let me get that. You put him in quick? But see, you got, see, your teammates got to be on your side, though. Your teammates got to be on your side and protecting you and saying,
Starting point is 00:48:28 listen, we got pads on, but if we're going to do anything, let's start it up. Let's start it up. Make sure you're in position to make the tackle as if it was a game simulated. But don't hit me for real.
Starting point is 00:48:40 Don't hit me for real. But you, man, you know them five rules. They freak, Ocho. Sometimes you just, you know, and y'. They freak, Ocho. Sometimes you just... And y'all run together. And his knee or cleat hits you. It hits you?
Starting point is 00:48:52 Hold on. Have you ever got a thigh bruise and it hardens up and stiffens up? And then they got to use that... Remember, is it called a grass stick? Yeah, I know that scrape one. How do you call it? I know you're talking about that scrape.
Starting point is 00:49:02 Oh, my God. And they got to scrape it and get it loose? Yeah. Hell yeah. I know what it about that. Oh, my God. And it got a scrape. Did it get it loose? Yeah. Hell yeah. I know what it's like. But that pain? That shit hurt. Man, hey.
Starting point is 00:49:13 That was, hey. That was, hey. It was different. I'm glad they changed it because, man. But just think, Ocho. That's how, like, in the 60s and the 70s, everybody was practicing like that. All the practices was Wednesday, Thursday, put you on the ground. Friday, you had on shoulder pads and helmets.
Starting point is 00:49:33 There was no shells. We had on shoulder pads for the entire practice. Well, somebody should have said something back then. Whoever the leader of the Broncos was back then, matter of fact, his name is John Elway. Elway should have said something. Man, listen. We don't need to be out here in full pads.
Starting point is 00:49:53 We want to be fresh on Sunday. Quarterbacks normally wore their pads because they needed to get used to throwing their pads. For the most part, John always wore his pads, even at least for like a part of practice and then he would take the pads off oh they tell me you had to tell me
Starting point is 00:50:11 you had to tell me but what I'm gone those were the days it was a different mentality play back then that's what I'm saying that's why you see these guys running across the middle and one-handed things and taking selfies.
Starting point is 00:50:29 You didn't do that back then. Bam, Mike, Singletary. Oh, go across the middle. You ain't going across the middle once. Bet you wouldn't come back. And you're going to think about it twice if you do got to go. What? Next thing you know, you'll be looking through your ear hole. Your ear hole? You're going to think about it twice if you do got to go. What? Boy.
Starting point is 00:50:46 Next thing you know, you'll be looking through that. You're looking through your ear hole. Ear hole. Somebody done killed it. Buffalo Bills ate more than $31 million to trade star wide receiver Stephon Diggs this offseason, a record for a non-quarterback. So why didn't the team wait until June 1st to deal Diggs, which has spread the financial impact between the seasons? General Manager Brandon Bean explained that Buffalo prepared to get that albatross
Starting point is 00:51:10 of Diggs' contract off the books rather sooner than later. We decided to just go ahead and eat it out now. We think that we can compete and do what we need to do by eating it now, because if we didn't, we would have tried to come up with ways to split it up too many different ways. It's just like that albatross hanging around our necks what's 25 look like what's 26 look like hey listen that's one thing about business they always looking ahead they're always looking ahead so obviously they want to get get themselves out of that contract but that's fine that's fine with it with now gabe davis going stefan dig going we have a
Starting point is 00:51:47 a media darling in keon coleman that's there but now can josh allen do what patrick mahone did once they got rid of tyreek and tyreek game that came down to the dolphins we're going to see how great and how good josh allen is but the fact that he does have Keon Coleman, I'm not sure the second receiver will be there. I know Keon Coleman's probably going to be the number one. We're going to see how good you are. Because now you have to make up for the production that's not there on the outside
Starting point is 00:52:15 because we don't know what Keon Coleman's going to be. He's probably going to be good. But now you have to make all the right decisions. You have to make all the right throws because you're not going to have that 14, 1,500-yard receiver that you can rely on 24-7 come hell or high water
Starting point is 00:52:30 when it matters most. Now, I know he's had some drops, you know, in the playoffs or whatnot, but again, still, he is a very, very, very good, to me, top five receiver
Starting point is 00:52:40 in this NFL still. I think the thing was going to, a lot of people are saying, well, Josh Allen didn't take that step until he got Stephon Diggs. Oh,
Starting point is 00:52:50 did you see the numbers? Yeah, I saw the numbers. I mean, listen, the numbers don't lie. Once Diggs got there, oh boy, hey, listen, they were goddamn
Starting point is 00:52:57 like Mark Anthony and J-Lo. Huh? They was like Tina Marie and Rick James. Very short-lived. That's what you're going with. Hey, but listen. While they was living, it was good.
Starting point is 00:53:10 While they was living, it was good. Yes, it was. Yeah, it's going to be very interesting to see how this thing pans out. We've seen what Patrick Mahomes did without Tyreek, who we believe is the most dangerous one of the top two. He's not going past two. No matter who your receivers are, Tyreek Hill's not going out of the top two for me. With that speed, with his big playability, his ability to run any route,
Starting point is 00:53:35 is he the best route runner? No. But he has the most speed of anybody that's running routes. So give me him. Yeah. Because he's the only guy that you throw him a five-yard route and he can hit his head on the goalpost. Every time.
Starting point is 00:53:47 He can take a five yard route and turn it into an eight yard spectacular. Hey, the only person in the NFL when you have to take an angle, you run toward the end zone. You try to cut the angle off. Yeah. If we both at the 50, I'm trying to intercept him at the 10.
Starting point is 00:54:03 I'm trying. Oh, Joe, he running like this 50, I'm trying to intercept him at the 10. I'm trying. Old Joe, he running like this here, I'm running like that. I'm just trying to. Hey, if he start to cut back, he got me. But if he can't. Oh, yeah, he got you. Hey, that's funny. Yeah, it's.
Starting point is 00:54:20 I like it, though. Listen, I love Josh, man. The few times I've had the opportunity to meet him I just I just like I like what he had with Diggs
Starting point is 00:54:29 I like what he had with Gabe Davis the fact that they weren't able to get over the hump it's unfortunate but obviously you're paying
Starting point is 00:54:36 Josh Allen the type of money he is making so you know sometimes some of the pieces around you are going to change
Starting point is 00:54:41 and it's up to you to be top three quarterback that we think you are going to change. And it's up to you to be top three quarterback that we think you are or you're paid such as you got to show up. You got to show up. Whether you got rookies around you or not. You have to make all the right decisions, make all the right throws
Starting point is 00:54:55 and do what Patrick Mahomes has done consistently year in and year out. You know the thing is that like Buffalo they go all in. They don't win it and they got to break it down. You see, they lose Poirier, they lose a white the corner, they lose other pieces. And you see my homeboy is like, you know what? Hey. I'm going to take a little less. I'm going to take a little less.
Starting point is 00:55:23 Not too much. I mean, he's probably taking $10 to $15 million per year less. But he's probably making $20 million off the field. How much did he just get a check for? Did he just get a check the other day for like $30 million?
Starting point is 00:55:40 Because I think they took a roster bonus. I meant to send that to you, Ash. I think he just got a check because his 2025 salary is already guaranteed because he's on the roster. So they guarantee, what, his 25?
Starting point is 00:56:03 So how much did he get that check they just sent him for like a month ago? But him being on the roster in 2024 guarantees his 2025 salary. Right. So, and so to keep that, so they're like, hey, man, check this out, then what we gonna do?
Starting point is 00:56:21 We gonna come give you that and assign a bonus. Okay. I'll take my 40 billion. Y'all go ahead and give me 39 of it right now. Make it a little easier. No problem. But
Starting point is 00:56:35 it's on Josh now. It's on Josh. It's very unfortunate because they finally had, they're like we want Patrick Mahomes in our building in the playoffs. The last two times, we had to go there and it didn't end up well for us.
Starting point is 00:56:50 Even Baltimore, we want him in our building. Let's stay. He a different cat now. He a different cat. He a different cat come playoff time. What you did to him in the regular season ain't gonna have no bearing on
Starting point is 00:57:02 where this is gonna happen in postseason. Yeah. And so it's, if you find it, let me know, Ash. Confidence isn't an issue for Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr. He entered the starting line of week seven and never lost his spot. Porter says, I'm always going to pick me over anybody else. When asked who's the best cornerback in the league, there are a lot of good DBs in this league.
Starting point is 00:57:23 Nobody was doing what I was doing against wide receiver ones this entire year locking them down. I don't care if I mention in there or not because they're going to hear my name eventually.
Starting point is 00:57:34 In 17 games, 11 start, the 2023 second round pick had 43 tackles, one point loss, one interception, 10 passes defense. He finished fifth
Starting point is 00:57:42 in defensive rookie of the year. Saltz Gardner, Pat Sertain, Jair Alexander, Denzel Ward. I like it. Listen, if you're going to talk, you got to walk it. Ask your pops. Joey Porter, ask your pops how we used to go
Starting point is 00:57:56 at it. Oh yeah, for sure. One of the greatest trash talkers of all time. And Joey Porter, much respect to him. But I like this. Put the league on notice. This is what much respect to him. But I like this. Yeah, for sure. You both have confidence in yourself. Put the league on notice. This is what you got to do. Come out, create you some bulletin board material. Now what you got to do,
Starting point is 00:58:13 even though you're a stealer, I love you to death, you got to follow in the footsteps of some of the greatest that have come through there. Now, if you're going to talk like that, now you got to come and show up. Didn't he get 27 million? Like somebody that I know that also was.
Starting point is 00:58:24 Hey, Joey, I mean, Joy Porter Jr. We're at 24, don't we? I think so. Yeah. Oh, there's a great 24 that gave me hell for a decade straight. And Ike Taylor. A great one. So, again, if you're going to talk, baby, all you got to do is walk it.
Starting point is 00:58:44 All you got to do is walk it. All you got to do is walk it. I like it. And you got to have that confidence. You have to. Most of the time, most of the people don't say it. Most of the people don't let it be known publicly because once you let it be known publicly, now you have a target on your back. Oh, yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 00:58:58 Now they're going to come at you. Now they're going to throw at you. Well, they're going to do that anyway. I love what you're doing. Yeah, they're going to throw at you. Well, they're going to do that anyway. I love what you're doing. Yeah, they're going to do that anyway. But even more so now that you're coming out saying you feeling like you wanted the best
Starting point is 00:59:12 at what you do, you just got to go do it, man. You wearing that number 24 anyway. If you're anything, if you're going to be anything like Ike Taylor, boy, you on the right path. And that's what all due respect.
Starting point is 00:59:27 Oh, so what they did, Ocho, is that the 2024, March 24th, they restructured. They gave him $27 million in salary. It was converted into a signing bonus. And his base salary is only $8.6 million. So they could have... Yeah, that was a free of... That's a free of cap space.
Starting point is 00:59:44 That's a little game they always play. You you see the game how they play when they want to create space they know what to do there's never an issue with money and paying players because there's always a way to manipulate the numbers and create space for who you want to because his latest contract so i'm trying to understand i'm trying to understand what they're waiting on with Dak. I'm trying to understand what they're waiting on with Tua. I'm trying to understand what are we... And again, I'm trying to... What are we waiting on with Love?
Starting point is 01:00:13 What are we waiting on as far as Chase and T. Higgins is concerned? Now, they have to see how the books are going to look. We can't pay them Bovo, Joe. Yeah, you can't pay them Bovo. Now, if one of... If Higgins is willing to take like $22, $24 million, because Chase is going to want $30. He hasn't signed
Starting point is 01:00:30 that franchise tag yet either. Now, at what point do we say or T, for that matter, does T say, you know what, I'm going to bet on myself this year, and God forbid, he's able to play a season injury
Starting point is 01:00:46 free and he hit the market you know they can put the tag on him again right I don't know what you say I don't know what you're talking about listen I don't do nothing like that now if I'm willing to bet on myself and I'm willing to stay and
Starting point is 01:01:03 play on the tag at 21, now you need to let me walk. Listen, the Chiefs organization, I salute them for what they did with LeJarius Sneed. Understanding his value and allowing him to go get what he deserves. Real say, if I give
Starting point is 01:01:19 you 10 years, good years, you should be able to let me walk with all my money. Ah, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, you should be able to let me walk with all my money. Ah, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, you. If I give you 10 great years, you should let me walk with all my money. Did you hear what you just said? Rel gave me 10 great years
Starting point is 01:01:37 and she should be able to walk with all her money. But if you walk with all your money, them 10 years of the lifestyle that you provided to me and allowed me to be able to live oh I'm leaving with something so that's what they said I'm leaving here with something and then if they could be nasty
Starting point is 01:01:54 they could put two years of the franchise and then a year of the transition tag on but listen knowing Mr. Brown, knowing Katie knowing Troy they cheat they're not cheating But listen, knowing Mr. Brown, knowing Katie, knowing Troy. They cheat. Cheat. They're not cheating. They're just stopping.
Starting point is 01:02:09 Now, listen. Don't do that. Now, you know we're spinning now. You better look at what we paid them. Our office is lying. Look what we paid Burrow. Don't do that. We're not cheating.
Starting point is 01:02:17 That narrative needs to be gone and erased. Because we're spinning that bag. Are y'all still practicing under the interstate? No, we have a bubble. Do y'all still practicing under the interstate no we have we have a bubble do y'all practice outside under the interstate yes or no we have a bubble
Starting point is 01:02:31 so y'all gonna practice outside the bubble we have an indoor facility no well when the sun is out but when it's snowing and it was raining when the sun is out
Starting point is 01:02:38 where do you guys practice can I park my car on the overpass and watch the Bengals practice yes or no? No. Yes, I can. That's a ticket.
Starting point is 01:02:51 No, you can't. That's a ticket. Can I park my car on the overpass and watch? I just want to know. Yes or no? I've never seen that happen before. Oh, Joe, I did because I did it. Yeah. You did? Who you were spying on?
Starting point is 01:03:07 I just happened to be watching. It got me a nice view. Well, it's funny. Y'all just started getting pizzas on Friday. Pizza? We don't eat pizza there. On Fridays. Gold Star Chili.
Starting point is 01:03:26 You know what? We eat Funnel Cake Island. Yeah, we got funnel cakes. Now, you don't eat funnel cakes? But listen, anybody in the chat that's in Cincinnati, I'm going to tell you about Funnel Cake Island.
Starting point is 01:03:41 I've got the street is on. My homeboy on it. Y'all got to check it out. Funnel Cake Island. Now, I forgot the name. I've got the street is on. My homeboy on it. Y'all got to check it out. Funnel Cake Island. Really, really good. Really, really good. If you're ever in Cincinnati, you got to go try it.
Starting point is 01:03:54 I got a Mikey on my team. Her name is Ash. A who? So, anytime we go somewhere, we don't know what it is. We just slide into Ash. Ash is our official Mikey. She going to try it? Ash don't like funnel cake.
Starting point is 01:04:07 I know it's bad. What? Ash is our official Mikey. Hold on. Wait, she don't like funnel cake for real? And Ash likes everything. Or she at least try it. That's one thing about Ash.
Starting point is 01:04:19 She's like, don't knock it till you try it. I was like, no, I'm gonna knock it. I'm gonna knock it over if you put it in front of me. So that's the thing. I'm assuming she's had a bad experience.
Starting point is 01:04:28 So she went somewhere where the funnel cakes weren't good. if you ever in Cincinnati for whatever reason, you... Oh, the fair funnel cakes. Oh,
Starting point is 01:04:36 that's trash. That's trash. Oh, child. No, no, no, no,
Starting point is 01:04:39 no, no. Listen, they don't make no funnel cakes like Young Bull out there in Cincinnati make these funnel cakes. I'm telling you, man, all type of toppings, all type of just crazy strawberry Oreo, like all type of crazy stuff.
Starting point is 01:04:52 Listen to me. Funnel Cake Island in Cincinnati. I can't remember what street it's on, but it's in the same in the same plaza as a restaurant called Hook's. OK, that's all I knew. I don't I don't know the cross streets. in the same plaza as a restaurant called Hook's. Okay. That's all I knew. I don't know the cross streets, but if you're from Cincinnati and you're in the chat, you know exactly what I'm talking about.
Starting point is 01:05:12 But hey, tell Ash, Ash, you got to try this funnel cake. And if I'm wrong, if I'm lying, I'm lying. We need to go to the Texas State Fair. That's where I ate it.
Starting point is 01:05:21 I know. Texas. I've had it at a fair. Yeah, I've eaten it at a fair I've eaten it at a fair but not the Texas State Fair where they fry Oreos, Snickers, butter they fry everything what you know about elephant ears?
Starting point is 01:05:34 you know about elephant ears? the flower or the plant? no no no not a real elephant ear I'm talking about at the Dade County Youth Fair no no I'm talking about it's like similar to a funnel cake a little bit, but it's made a little different. At the Dade County Youth Fair,
Starting point is 01:05:49 all I care about is going to get that corn in the cob. I care about the shish kebab. I care about elephant ears. I don't like shish kebabs. No. Oh, come on. What you doing? Because I don't like the peppers,
Starting point is 01:06:03 and I don't like that. I just want, just go. I don't, I don't like the peppers and I don't like that. I just want... Just go... I don't like... I don't like it. No? Oh, you... Listen, you missing out
Starting point is 01:06:12 on the finer things. No. Like, man, if you don't like... Well, we gonna go to the... What you call it? We gonna go to the... We gonna go to Texas State Fair. Texas State Fair?
Starting point is 01:06:19 When is that? When is that? It's during the October. It's like Oklahoma, Texas, right? That's the Oklahoma, Texas game. We need to go and eat. Okay. Man, I'm going to take me to some Maylocks and some Keltons or something because I know my stomach is going to beat.
Starting point is 01:06:35 Yeah, I'm ready. I got some cowboy boots, too. I ain't had a chance to wear, too. Yeah. Nah. You ain't got no cowboy. How the hell you got cowboy boots in Florida? What you...
Starting point is 01:06:49 Hello? I'm a bull rider. You forgot? Oh, Lord. I still practice. I ride horses on the weekend out here. Bull is... Tell her.
Starting point is 01:06:58 No. Come on now. You know I ride horses. I know you've seen the many clips of me riding horses, going fast as hell, doing tricks, and all that crazy stuff. No, I didn't see that. Ash, can you please pull up videos for Unc and me riding horses?
Starting point is 01:07:13 I am a professional bull rider and horse rider. You're not no professional, Ocho. Just because you do something, doesn't make you a professional. That's all it takes, because I was on the professional circuit when I did it. If you paint a picture, does that make you an artist? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:29 Who, me? Yeah, because I get to set the value on how much it's worth. First of all. Now, if I can get anybody to buy it, that makes me a professional. Shit. That's what everybody else do. Okay. The Volume.
