Okay, Ocho, ESPN ranks the best situations for an NFL number one pick since 1990. In fifth place was Jameis Winston. He inherited Mike Evans, Vincent Jackson, Austin Serafin Jenkins, Doug Martin, Bobby Rainey, Charles Sims. Number four was Eli Manning.
Starting point is 00:02:08 He inherited Imani Toomer, Ike Hilliard, Jeremy Shockey, Tiki Barber. Number three, Joe Burrell. He inherited AJ Green, T. Higgins, Tyler Boyd, Drew Sampley, Joe Mixon, Giovanni Bernard. Number two was Matthew
Starting point is 00:02:24 Stafford. He inherited Megatron, Calvin Johnson, Bryant Johnson, Dennis Norcutt, Derrick Williams. Tied in with Brandon Pettigrew. Running backs was Kevin Smith and Maurice Morris. And number one is Caleb Williams, DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, Roman Dunze, Cole Komet, Gerald Everett, DeAndre Swift, and Khalil Herbert.
Starting point is 00:02:48 You like that? You think DJ's in the best situation? DJ? I mean, excuse me, Caleb Williams. Oh, yeah, most definitely. Most definitely. It all comes down to, if you think about it, if you look at all, you look at the receiving core and the running backs, James Winston, Eli Manning, Joe Burrow Matthew Stafford, look at the players that they had
Starting point is 00:03:06 Caleb Williams is in a great situation and I've said it and I'll continue to say it over and over and over a quarterback is only as good as the supporting cast and the supporting cast that Caleb Williams has coming into this season is phenomenal, DJ Moore Keenan Allen
Starting point is 00:03:22 hold on I missed it I forgot Roma Dunze Roma Dunze. Huh? Rome. Roma Dunze. Oh, yeah. Roma. I didn't want to say it wrong.
Starting point is 00:03:30 I hate disrespecting people's names like that. Rome. Let me just say Rome. Listen, they sit. They sit. Now, what I wish could have happened is I wish the Bears would have had this situation for other quarterbacks in the past and always had them set up this way to where there wouldn't be any issues
Starting point is 00:03:51 if they always had a supporting cast around them. I know, obviously, with timing, it's a little difficult to always have a superstar cast like this, but this one right here, there are no excuses. Zero. There are no excuses. Zero. Yeah, no excuses. Zero.
Starting point is 00:04:07 Yeah. Speaking of Caleb Williams, DJ Moore spoke about the transition from Fields to Williams. Moore said, business is business. I've seen it coming. So at the end of the day, he was the quarterback last year. Now we got Caleb. We're going to ride through a hell and back with him.
Starting point is 00:04:22 So I'm just looking forward to seeing what he put out there. It's cold business. Hey, Ocho. It's hard, but it's fair. It's sad, but it's true. Yeah, always. He's on the team. He's saying, I saw it coming. People
Starting point is 00:04:40 get upset at me when I said, oh, if I'm the best, I'm trading him. You're not going to pass up two number one overall quarterback back-to-back years. Yeah. Because how you get in that position? If your quarterback was what you thought he was, you're not going to be in that position in back-to-back years.
Starting point is 00:04:57 Right. So I say they're going to move on. They're going to take this kid because of everything what they're saying. I say, I don't know what he's going to be. But the reports are he's a generational quarterback yeah they're not passing him up they're not and i understand you build relationships but you do at the end of the day you know hey they can still be friends right we're just not going to be teammates. Yeah. It's the nature of the business. It is.
Starting point is 00:05:28 It is. You understand it. Oh, yeah. You better understand it. You better be able to separate the two. That's in the NFL, the NBA, no matter what you play. Hell, even in the corporate goddamn world, there are politics, politics, and all that we do. It sucks, but it's what it is.
Starting point is 00:05:51 It is. You just deal with it. I wish Justin feels the best. I still think that he has the ability to be really good in this league. Oh yeah, most definitely, most definitely. It's all about being in the right situation, being in the right situation
Starting point is 00:06:06 and having that situation, the people that are the owners and the coaches, having them believe in you and believe you're the right one for the job, it makes things a lot more easier, makes everything much easier. Now, that's the hard part, finding the situation that fits you
Starting point is 00:06:25 and having the people in that situation believe in you, invest in you, and then build around you. That's the goddamn hard part. Yeah, it's tough. Oh, Joe, the Jets once again have a scheduled jam-packed with primetime contests. Six of them in their first 11 weeks.
Starting point is 00:06:42 And Aaron Rodgers says he knows why. We're a must watch tv that's pretty obvious everyone knows that whether you love me or you hate me people want to see me play that's true those are facts hell last year when he was there they wanted to see him play too it's aaron rogers he's must see tv whether you like him or not whether you like some of the things that he says on podcasts we whether you like some of the things he says about COVID and all the other outlandish stuff
Starting point is 00:07:09 that he said. I mean, listen, some people, it's gotten to a point where it's almost like with Floyd. People were tuning in to see Floyd lose. It got to that point. So now people are tuning in, whether you like Aaron or not, they're tuning in to see i just lose i want to i want to hear them same politicians
Starting point is 00:07:29 that told uh lebron and told all them other black players shut up and dribble that's all i want to do i want them to tell i want them to tell aaron rogers and the kid that uh uh in in in kansas city i wanted to tell him to shut up and play football. Stay out of politics. Oh, my bad. Let's not even go there, Ocho. We ain't going to do that, Ocho. But we know. They know. You know better than that.
Starting point is 00:07:55 Why not? I'm just saying. Yeah, but what he talking about is he's right about that, though. He's right. He's right about that, though. He's right. He's right. He's definitely right.
Starting point is 00:08:11 He's definitely right. Everybody tune in to see him. Man, I think I took a man. I must have had some pork chops today. I'm breezy like a mog. But see, that's why that skin looks so good. I got oily skin. That's why that skin look like that.
Starting point is 00:08:24 Because you know that no good black don't crack. You don't look greasy on my end. Yeah, I'm greasy, boy. This thing here. How you could tell? See that? That's oil. What's that?
Starting point is 00:08:39 What's that? What's them little- Those are masks. They take the oil out of your skin. Oh, I need to get me something. Where you get them from? Walgreens? Sephora? Or what's the other place?
Starting point is 00:08:50 Ulta. Ulta. Yeah. You know, are you going Ulta, you might catch you a straggler. You know what I'm saying? Don't you?
Starting point is 00:09:00 No, I don't. Wait, a straggler? What that mean? They chattin' over the deal. Oh, oh, oh, oh. Yeah, man. Nah, I don't Wait, a straggler What that mean? They chat though, what it is Oh, oh, oh Yeah, man Hey, man, you don't know I don't know nothing about that, man

Starting point is 00:09:41 Enjoy your night. At some point, at some point, you got to get laid, homie. At some point, you got to get laid, homie. At some point, you got to get laid. It is what it is. Where I can get one of them hats at? UK.

You got two of them, man. Come on, man. I didn't know you want one like this? Hey, you got two of them, man.

What y'all think I should do? Should I send Ocho one or should I, like, have a little drawing and have y'all win one?
Starting point is 00:10:43 No, no, no, no, no. Don't have no drawing because I'm going to wear mine. I'm going to wear mine in public. Chatting away in public. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. How you going to wear it in public? I got it right here. I'll tell you what I'm going to do.
Starting point is 00:10:53 You know what? You're going to send it to me. Okay, paper, rock, scissors real quick. Paper, rock, scissors for the hat. Ocho. Rock, paper, scissors for the hat. Ocho. You get the big hat.
Starting point is 00:11:04 You get the fun coat, and you get... My synopsis? Synopsis. Yeah. If I do what? For the webby. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:11:14 You ain't getting that webby. That ain't happening. That ain't happening. Matter of fact, hold on. Hey, hey. Hey. Kennedy. Yeah. Kennedy. Kennedy! Hey!

Starting point is 00:11:59 and then some lucky person can win it. What y'all thinking? I think, man, look at that. They look real nice. yeah uh guys all the uh the the the nightcap merch is pinned in the chat so you should be able to just click on it and it'll take you right to it click on it, and it'll take you right to it. So let's put up a poll, Ash. Do I send Ocho one,
Starting point is 00:12:52 or do I autograph it for a chance to have one of our loyal, lucky fans win it? Along with a coffee mug. Along with a coffee mug. So, Ocho, an even swap ain't no swindle. Hey, there's one thing about it, boy. I ain't never won no Lombardi trophy, and I ain't won much in life. But I won this goddamn Webby, and it ain't leaving here. It ain't leaving this house.
Starting point is 00:13:25 Okay, well, unfortunately, Ocho, the chat said they think I should yours, I should autograph it and send it to them. So I'm going to put Shannon Sharp, HOF 11, and some lucky person's going to win one of our loyal followers going to win it. You know what? Do you know what? That's fine.

And some lucky person is going to win a nightcap, big hat, Ocho's Funko, and a coffee mug. That ain't going to work. What do you mean it ain't going to work? We got to come to a happy medium.
Starting point is 00:14:17 We got to come to some type of happy medium, some type of common ground. Because you have all the good stuff. I don't get nothing. You got it. You got the good stuff. Like, I don't get nothing. You got it. You got the webby. Yeah, I had to take this. I had to take it because I'm not going to wait
Starting point is 00:14:34 on nobody to mail me nothing. I ain't even got it. Huh? I ain't even got it. I know because if I let you get it, then I wouldn't have it then. Hey, I ain't got nothing. Hold on. I got to work on then. Hey, I ain't got nothing. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:14:48 I got to work on my acceptance speech. I got to. First off, I'd like to give an honor and thanks to God for making this possible. Without him, this wouldn't be able to be done. I'd like to thank Unk for the opportunity, his team, my team, and it's only up from here. I fucking love y'all. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:15:12 Yeah! I gotta work on that. I gotta rewrite it a little bit more, but that's it. I need that hat, though. Hey, I need my phone. Hell, I need every goddamn thing Hey I need I need my I need my phone Hell I need every

Starting point is 00:15:59 Hey, I'm going to get me one made, too. I'm going to get one of them made. But I'm going to do, hey, listen, I'm going to make me, I'm going to get me a bus made. What's'm going to do... Hey, listen. I'm going to get me a bus made. What's that like? Bronze? No, no, no, no. This is made of wood. Of wood?
Starting point is 00:16:13 I'm going to get one made of 14 karat gold. That's what I want for Christmas. So, Ocho, I mean, he needs something on his head. So, unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to send you yours. Maybe I'll leave. Hey, where you got them big hats like that from? Ocho!
Starting point is 00:16:28 Somebody said, look, they say they didn't have your address. I say, send it to me. I'll make sure he get it. Everybody got my address. My address is public knowledge. Well. Hey. So they told me they didn't have your address.

Starting point is 00:17:30 Let me tell you I'm looking I'm screaming for the kids Man, they sleep Yeah Real, real, real Out having a good time Yeah, I'll blame them
Starting point is 00:17:39 And enjoying Memorial Weekend See Yeah, you know what I should have been out We should have went to Vegas, Ocho. Nah, nah, nah, nah. I don't like being out past 9 o'clock. We should have went to Vegas, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:17:52 And done what? I don't club. I don't go out. What are we going to do? Pool party. Oh, no. I ain't getting my hair wet. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:18:02 Hey, you know, I'll put on the Versace trunks I got. You know what I'm saying. Hey, you know, I'll put on them, uh, them, uh, them Versace trunks I got. You know what I'm saying, boy? Yeah. Yeah. I go and put that
Starting point is 00:18:12 baby, put that baby on, that, that all over. Okay. I can't, I can't. So what you do is that you put a little baby all over you
Starting point is 00:18:19 and then you, uh, put the water on you. So you have to beat up and then you put another layer on you. Okay. I'll be like that thing shining like black diamonds. Hey, I just
Starting point is 00:18:29 I can't do no pool stuff, man. I just Man, I ain't been to no pool. I'm trying to think. I don't think I've been to a Have I ever been to a pool party? You talking about a pool party? I got a pool and don't even go in that. I got a pool and I ain't go in that. I got a pool.
Starting point is 00:18:46 And I ain't stepped one foot in it. Okay, then we're just saying. In seven years. We're just saying, them kids be in the pool. I just, I don't know. My dog be in the pool more than I have. I'm not getting no water until I get my opportunity to swim with killer whales in a while. Then I'm getting in. I can swim like a fish. I can swim like a while. Now that, then I'm getting in. Now I can swim like a fish.
Starting point is 00:19:06 I can swim like a fish. Growing up, being at the pool, Charles Hadley Park, every summer, swimming lessons, diving lessons, doing all that stuff.
Starting point is 00:19:14 It's just not, I have no urge to get in the water. You know, you know, blue diamond, black diamond, you know.
Starting point is 00:19:28 D-Hop says the Titans have one of the best wide receivers groups You got damn right they do on paper. You got damn right on paper. He said the Titans
Starting point is 00:19:37 front office has done a tremendous job adding weaponry to the second year Will Levis, Tennessee signed Tony Pollard to replace Derrick Henry.
Starting point is 00:19:45 Stole wide receiver Calvin Ridley from away from rival Jags. Four years, 92 million. Signed former Bengals top slot Tyler Boyd. Tyler Boyd. Yep, Dee Hopkins, who's bullish on the new group. I think we have one of the best wide receiver groups. I think we have a chance to play with on paper.
Starting point is 00:20:03 Obviously, it comes up here to say a bunch, but we haven't played played a game yet so we'll see how it goes once we hit the field yeah hey i love it i love it we talk about d hot oh man we probably got me d hot man one of the best receivers they ever played this game real talk at one at one point and even still I think he can still get yeah most definitely man young boy don't drop nothing boy nothing nigga oh I'm sorry I'm sorry my bad my bad I forgot where I was at my bad see I got real excited we talked about
Starting point is 00:20:37 receiving that man D-Hop one of the best they ever played a game man man you done hit that Paul Pierce on him I said you hit that Paul Pierce on him sorry about that. My bad, my bad, my bad, my bad. Hey, listen, some of the best hands ever outside of Chris Carter and Larry Fitzgerald,
Starting point is 00:20:51 I think D-Hop might be right there in that realm of some of the best ever. Calvin Ridley, boy. Rock runner extraordinaire. A rock runner extraordinaire, man. But all Alabama receivers can run Rob Socho. Oh, yeah, Oh, yeah. Look at Judy. Look at
Starting point is 00:21:07 Mark Cooper. Look at Ridley. Even Julio Forge, as big as he was, could sit it down. He could run them. He could run some routes. But listen, and I say it again, this is why I've always been saying that Will Levis will have a good season because I tell you, a quarterback
Starting point is 00:21:23 is only good at his supporting cast. And look at the supporting cast that he has to distribute with. Hey, they're going to be nasty. Now, I like Tony Pollard, but I think they need another change of pace back. A big boy. They need a big boy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He's more of a third down.
Starting point is 00:21:40 Dallas found out the hard way. They thought it was just him. No, Zeke had them beat solving the defense up so Pollard could hit those creases. You saw that when you try to run him, that's not what he is. Yeah, I like Pollard, though.
Starting point is 00:21:53 I like Pollard, man. He's nice. He's nice. Are we going to show it? Okay, we're going to show this. Alyssa Thomas got ejected for slamming Angel Reese to the ground on a rebound.
Starting point is 00:22:04 Look at this, Ocho. Oh, oh! Hey, hey, hey, hey! Oh, no! There we go. You can't do my dog like that. You can't do my... Bayou Barbie like that, man. Why did she do that? What happened
Starting point is 00:22:22 before this in the game that we didn't see for her to want to do that? What do you think? I don't know. I mean, she probably was like trying to, maybe she didn't realize that Angel had already left her feet.
Starting point is 00:22:36 And, you know, you're trying to, you know, you're trying to, you know, make sure she don't get in and grab the rebound. And she's up a little high. So she's around the neck. So I'm not surprised that she got ejected. Yeah, but you don't even help her up you didn't show any type of
Starting point is 00:22:50 any type of remorse you know so that i don't want to say it was done on purpose i don't i don't want to say that because it's i think something happened prior to that you know throughout the game something had to happen this is what angel you know, throughout the game. Something had to happen. This is what Angel Reese said after the game. They don't give a damn if I'm a rookie. They're not supposed to be nice to me. Thank you, AT, for sending a message to me because I got back up and kept going. Yeah, I like that.
Starting point is 00:23:16 I like that. I like that. You better understand where Angel Reese from. She ain't got no problem with that. Oh, that's how we doing? Oh, that's what we doing? Oh, that's what we doing? Oh, you on that? Okay, bet. That's all that meant.
Starting point is 00:23:28 You got to be able to read between the lines. Media ain't going to understand what she just said. I know what she just said. She say, she say. Oh, that's what we on? Okay, bet.
Starting point is 00:23:38 And she in Chicago too? I don't know what. So Angel Reese, I wonder. Man, she O-block Nah she 63rd She one up She one up I'm trying to see
Starting point is 00:23:54 See some scores right quick I'm going to the game I'm ready to go to the game I'm going to A Chicago game I'm going to a A Las Vegas Aces game They end up winning the game They won go to the game. I'm going to a Chicago game. I'm going to a Las Vegas Aces game.
Starting point is 00:24:06 They end up winning the game. They won the game? No, the Connecticut Suns won. 86-82. They won. But hey, she got up. Great thing. She's okay.
Starting point is 00:24:24 She played through it um she's very tough devin haney's father says ryan garcia should be banned from the sport bill haney who's who observed that his son's devin's coach wants ryan garcia out of the sport of boxing forever he told tmz sports he believed the starfighter blunt the drug test should lead to a lifetime ban garcia's b sample came back positive for osterin, a banned substance. After his A sample previously tested positive for the same PED weeks prior. What you think, Ocho? What's the punishment?
Starting point is 00:24:56 Man, this is a tough one. This is a tough one. This is a tough one. I watched the fight. Everybody else in the world watch the fight. I think if you take away... You're not supposed to cheat
Starting point is 00:25:14 in anything that you do. Let me start there. You're not supposed to cheat in anything that you do. It's frowned upon, especially in boxing. In any sport for that matter, but even more in boxing.
Starting point is 00:25:24 It gives you a competitive advantage. It gives you a competitive advantage. It gives you a competitive edge. Yes. The fight that I saw, and I mean this with all respect because I love Devin. I love Bill. I love all fighters. I've shown nothing but tremendous amount of respect to any and everybody in combat sports. a tremendous amount of respect to any and everybody in combat sports.
Starting point is 00:25:44 The fight that I saw, whether Ryan had took something or not, Ryan wins that fight that night. We don't know that. How can we say that he got in the system? I mean, it's like a track and field. The fight that I saw that night from a skill
Starting point is 00:26:05 perspective in that ring the quickness the ability to hit him at will when he wanted to so can I ask you a question yes sir do you believe Lance Armstrong win those seven tour de frances without that in the system
Starting point is 00:26:22 uh oh probably probably not maybe how can you say Armstrong win those seven tour de France without that in the system? Oh, probably not. Maybe. How can you say? You got it in the system. Okay, how about this? So, if...
Starting point is 00:26:38 Why not say we want to ban Ryan Garcia? Why not say, let's have a rematch then? Let's do it clean. Let's do it clean. Let's do it clean. Let's do it clean. If you truly believe that he was dirty, and that being dirty was the reason why Devin lost, how about say, you know what?
Starting point is 00:26:57 Let's rematch and make sure he's clean, and let's see what happens. Why has that not been said? Ocho, but here's the thing. He didn't make 140 to begin with. So what are we going to have the rematch at? He didn't make 140. Devin fights at 140.
Starting point is 00:27:17 Now, do you want to go up to 147? I don't know. But now you start getting in Shakur, you start getting in Bud territory. Is that what you want? No, you don't want that. So I'm saying I agree. I'm surprised. I don't know why Devin Haney didn't
Starting point is 00:27:32 have it in his contract that he automatically get a rematch. You saw what Fury had in his contract. Most champions automatically put a rematch clause in their contract just in case. They don't expect to lose, but just in case, I don't want you trying to make me wait a year or two before
Starting point is 00:27:48 I get a rematch. So it's normally a clause in all contracts. So why Devin Haney, Bill Haney's Devin's father, or his promoter, his manager, whoever handles this, why they didn't put that in his contract when that's normally
Starting point is 00:28:03 standard? I don't know. But I agree with what you're saying. I'm not saying that he doesn't, he should say, well, let's do a rematch and demand that he makes 140. Yeah. And if he doesn't make 140, the price is off. That's what I would do.
Starting point is 00:28:19 I think, I don't know the history of boxing as far as it comes to cases like this of the Osteren or steroids or any performing enhancing drugs that have been taken. Has anybody else just been banned from the sport of boxing because of that? I don't know about banned, but probably suspended. I don't know. but listen I think Devin should get have the the one or the loss expunged
Starting point is 00:28:50 and I think they should do a rematch and it's fair that's what I think but again based on what I saw that night it's it's tough but here's the thing here's why I push back
Starting point is 00:29:04 people say well he didn't have enough in his system how do you know it's tough. But here's the thing. Here's why I push back. People say, well, he didn't have enough in his system. How do you know? Wake up with football every morning and listen to my new podcast, NFL Daily with Greg Rosenthal. Five days a week,

This is their Super Bowl window. Why would they trade him away? Because he would be a pivotal part of them winning that Super Bowl. I don't know why, Colleen.
Starting point is 00:29:52 Catch the podcast, the NFL Daily with Greg Rosenthal every day. Subscribe today and you'll immediately be smarter and funnier than your friends. And who doesn't want that? Listen now on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. When was the last time you took something when you knew it wasn't going to give you no advantage? So who takes an aspirin saying like, you know what? It ain't going to do anything. It's not going to help me anyway.
Starting point is 00:30:23 So I'm going to take it, but I know it's not going to help me. Who does that? Who takes Tylenol? Who takes lactate? Who takes medicine saying, I'm going to take it, but I know it's not going to help me in any shape or form, but I'm going to take it anyway. He put that in the system. Now, how it got
Starting point is 00:30:39 there, we don't know. Could it have been cross-contamination? Sure, it could have been. We don't know. But I'm saying for it to be in the system, we can't know. Could it have been cross-contamination? Sure it could have been. We don't know. But I'm saying for it to be in this system, we can't say each person is different. Yeah. That's tough, bro.
Starting point is 00:30:56 I'm not necessarily saying I don't, but I can say at 140, let's just say for the sake of argument, we get a rematch Ocho, and the weight is 140. I don't believe Devin Haney wants to go to 147. He says 140. What do you think the likelihood that he's going to be able to make
Starting point is 00:31:11 Garcia's going to be able to make 140? If he took it serious and stopped bullshitting, he can make it. If he took it serious and stopped bullshitting, he can make it. If you can get to 143, you can lose another three pounds. But I don't know if you ever lost weight.
Starting point is 00:31:30 Oh, yeah. Them last three? Yeah, it's hard. That thing pulling your guts out. I know it is. But when I think about it, when I think about some of the boxers, if people actually understood
Starting point is 00:31:42 and knew what they walk around at before a fight, I think they should be able to do it. If people actually understood and knew what they walk around at. That's what I'm saying. I think they should be able to do it. But see, here's the thing. You think about Ryan Garcia probably walking around at one. He's probably walking around 170, 165, 170. Remember, you and I talked about it. The reason why Floyd, and this is not the only reason, but Floyd is not a naturally big man.
Starting point is 00:32:06 So making 147 for Floyd was nothing because he walked around at 150. Yeah, yeah. He's walking around 150, 155 tops. So he goes to camp for eight weeks, cleans up his diet, so now all of a sudden he probably don't eat any desserts or anything like that. He's going to make that weight with no problem. Right. Even when he fought at 154, He's going to make that weight with no problem.
Starting point is 00:32:29 Even when he fought at 154, he's coming in like 153, 152. So he's not a naturally big man. These guys come and dropping down to 147, they probably walk around 165, 170. Man, hey, the first 10 might be easy, Ocho. That is that last 10. And then you get down to that last five, that last two. Yeah, it's crazy.
Starting point is 00:32:51 It's crazy. I mean, it's messed up, though, man. It's messed up. I understand where Bill is coming from. I understand where Devin is coming from. And it's bad for the sport. Yeah. You want to, Devin did it the right way.
Starting point is 00:33:06 He went through camp the right way. He trained the right way. And I mean, the cheating is bad. I mean, it's bad. But just the fight I saw, man, it just. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:21 It's tough, man. It's tough. I know it's nothing wrong with my eyes but I would ask for a rematch I would ask for a rematch at 140 or whatever it may be make sure he's clean
Starting point is 00:33:35 and if Ryan agrees and have testing throughout the camp leading up to the fight to make sure he's clean hey you see what you're calling because Floyd was suspected that Pacquiao might have been stuffed. What did they do? Mandatory blood test throughout
Starting point is 00:33:52 the fight. Right. And so my thing, I agree with you, Ocho. I don't think Ryan Garcia should be banned because I don't think there's a history. There is a pattern of behavior that would warrant such a harsh punishment.
Starting point is 00:34:07 Now, if this was his third time, oh, yeah, he got to go. But this is a one time thing. I don't think, like I said, I don't know. I haven't read or seen anything that says that Ryan Garcia has flunked, had multiple allegations of performance enhancing drugs in his system. This is the first time that I've read or seen anything,
Starting point is 00:34:31 so I don't think a one-time is a lifetime ban. But you're absolutely right. Obviously, this is going to probably be in a no contest. And if Ryan takes it serious and gets down all the antics and the stuff,
Starting point is 00:34:48 I get trying to sell a fight. He won't need to. You won't need to do all this. You won't need to do all that again. If a rematch is given, he won't need to make any jokes, no antics, because everybody's going to be tuned in again.
Starting point is 00:35:03 Everybody will be tuned in. For sure. He's going to be tuned in. Yeah, for sure. I mean, look, he's a good fighter. And we want good fights. We want to see, you know, I think that's why people love the UFC because Dana don't let anybody duck anybody.
Starting point is 00:35:17 The best fighters are going to fight each other. And, you know, hey, in a situation like that, it's hard. You're not going to see what, you know, we had a conversation and what Jon Jones has been able to do. But it's tough. It's tough. But like I said, I think because Ryan is such a big guy, walks around natural. Yes, sir. He'd probably walk around 170, maybe 175, Ocho, to cut 40 pounds in eight weeks?
Starting point is 00:35:46 Ten weeks? Man, that's a lot of weight. Normally, people will cut that much weight, take six months. A year. Yeah, but it's what they do, though. It's what they signed up for. So they're used to it, especially when you've been doing it for so long. So they have a great understanding of the method
Starting point is 00:36:02 behind the madness on how to lose it throughout a camp. But here's the thing. As you get older, it gets harder. Harder. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's true. They young now.
Starting point is 00:36:14 He got the old man weight on him. You know what I'm saying? You start getting older and older, it gets harder and harder. But guess what? You start getting up heavier and heavier. So now he normally would walk around and stay within striking distance. He walks around at 170. Now all of a sudden it goes to 175.
Starting point is 00:36:29 Now all of a sudden it goes to 180. Right. So now instead of having to take down 25, you got to take down 35. Right. I have a question. I'm with you. What's up?
Starting point is 00:36:39 We talk about the steroid stuff and I think about the performance that Devin Haney had. I think about the performance of Ryan Garcia the devin haney had i think about the performance of ryan garcia the night of the fight and we say well or there's a chance that maybe if ryan garcia wasn't on what he was on uh devin haney would have won the fight or he might have had a better chance to win the fight so i also had this question if if um and i'm gonna And I'm going to take baseball, for instance. Yeah. Does Mark McGuire, does Sammy Sosa, do Barry Bonds and those individuals that have said they've taken something, if you take away steroids that they might have taken, does that mean they don't hit home runs anymore? They might have taken. Does that mean they don't hit home runs anymore? Does that mean they're not as. I'm not sure how to say it or how to put it into words, but I'm saying, does that change the dynamic of who they are as home run hitters and sluggers?
Starting point is 00:37:40 But. Prior to that, steroids were illegal in baseball. OK, I understand, but I'm trying I'm trying to go with a performance perspective. Obviously, but see, it's different, Ocho, because it's hand-eye coordination. Right. And it doesn't help that. See, you look at those guys, and you
Starting point is 00:37:59 look at Bonds. Bonds won three MVPs, and he was one 85. He won four or five silver slug awards. And he said, he, I mean, they looking around and like,
Starting point is 00:38:13 well, Hey, Oh, y'all loving this, huh? Y'all loving some average guys hitting the ball out of the park, winning MVPs. Is that what you love?
Starting point is 00:38:21 You love average guys doing that. Okay. Let me show you. Let me show. Now, all of a sudden, he become Ruthian. Now, he said he didn't take it. He never tested positive. His guy, the guy that they
Starting point is 00:38:35 tried to pitch, Anderson, he went and sent that thing down on Club Man. I ain't rat-diming my guy. He said, if y'all got something on him, y'all got something on him. Look, people didn't like Bonds. They didn't. And, you know, I know people that's been around him say he can be a jerk. But
Starting point is 00:38:51 there's a difference if we like you as opposed to if we don't. Because Marv McGuire, I didn't get the chronic criticism that Barry Bonds got. No? Hell no! The man coaching. The man was a hitting
Starting point is 00:39:07 coach. They barely let Barry back in the damn stadium. I just, man, I don't know. And here's the thing, Ocho. In combat sports,
Starting point is 00:39:26 you could kill somebody. People have actually been killed in the boxing ring. Yeah, most definitely. That's why you don't play boxing. It's a whole different ball game from hitting a baseball with somewhat of life. I was
Starting point is 00:39:40 comparing the performance enhancing part of it. Does it mean, if you take it away, does that change the fact that these individuals wouldn't hit home runs? Or if Ryan doesn't take the R-strand or whatever it is, does that mean he doesn't win the fight? I mean, is it really giving you that much of an advantage? That's all I'm asking. O joe you got to think about it in the hundred plus year history i think the cincinnati red stock is where the first they started playing baseball in like the 1870s late 1870s prior to what they did in 1998 there have been two guys in the history of the game hit 60 home runs.
Starting point is 00:40:25 Two. Babe Ruth has 60. Roger Maris hit 61. I think Sammy Sosa now has three or four 60 home run seasons. Barnes has a 73. Mark McGuire has a 70. Sammy Sosa has how many 60 home60 home run seasons he has at least 3 maybe 4
Starting point is 00:40:46 when you had in the 120 year history 120 year history you only had 2 yeah now if you think about it look at
Starting point is 00:40:58 look at football ain't no records being brought now if somebody all of a sudden jump out there and rush for 2,500 yards, Ocho, I need to talk to somebody. All of a sudden, the receiver go for 2,200 yards, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:41:15 You ain't going to ask no questions. 2,200? Yeah, you see? You see what you did? 2,200? Yeah, exactly. Wait, listen. With the added-on games,
Starting point is 00:41:25 it's all possible. That's right. You know what's funny? Yeah. They tested me and I ain't take nothing. I mean, well, I did take stuff.
Starting point is 00:41:37 Then, you know, it was kind of an enhancer for me when I played. Yeah. You heard GDM? Yeah. What is GDM? Yeah. What is GDM? Hold on, you're not talking about, no, you ain't taking,
Starting point is 00:41:49 oh, I was thinking you were talking about. No, I was taking GDM. No bullshit. I just, they couldn't they couldn't test it because the GDM what I was taking was ahead of the testing curve. Yeah, you know what GDM stands for?
Starting point is 00:42:11 What does it stand for, Joe? Goddamn McDonald's. They hadn't heard of no curve. And then Sammy Sosa not only took Roy the man had a cork bat a who? a cork bat man I don't know what that means what's a cork bat his bat
Starting point is 00:42:33 was corked the ball jumped off the bat that means more pop over the fence but the thing was baseball needed something to get the fans back into the stadium Over the fence. Okay. But the thing was, but Ocho, here's the thing. Baseball needed something to get the fans back into the stadium. Because remember, they struck and they shut it down.
Starting point is 00:42:54 And the fans weren't coming back. They started coming back in droves when that home run chase. It was McGuire and Sosa. Yeah. And a lot of people was doing it because they weren't testing. And then they got holier than thou and they didn't have no problem with it
Starting point is 00:43:11 until Barry got the record. Right. Hey, boy. Hey. I can play for the Marlins right now, boy. Now that I think about it. Look at my technique. You can't see my whole body,
Starting point is 00:43:25 but you can see I know what I'm doing, though. What you think? No. You, uh... You scared of that ball. Who? You. Oh, listen, I hit 90, 100-mile-an-hour ball
Starting point is 00:43:43 with ease, man. I got hand-eye coordination. How do you think I play football? I tell you what. You won't even put your bat on a 100-mile-an-hour ball. Oh, you won't bet nothing? I go record it tomorrow. I go to the batting cage tomorrow and show you.
Starting point is 00:43:55 Mm-mm. You ain't going to do it. Let's bet. Let's bet. We bet. Okay, bet. You won't put one ball in play. Okay.
Starting point is 00:44:03 You might stick your bat out there and it go in play. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. You better do your homework now. Do your homework now. I can play some baseball. Don't do that. You ain't never played no baseball. Who?
Starting point is 00:44:14 You. You ain't never played no baseball. I played baseball in college. I almost got drafted. Yeah, to the military. No, to the... They were looking for a few good means. That was the only draft you're going to be a part of.
Starting point is 00:44:31 Bad please. I mean, also, the thing is that what you have to understand. Hey, that was a good one. Baseball is a sport. Like, you can play, guys can play like, you heard guys, well, like Olajuwon didn't play basketball, but like his 11th and 12th grade year. Maybe his 12th grade year. And guys play football. Play one year of football.
Starting point is 00:44:49 Baseball, you better come up at five years old looking and seeing the balls. That ain't no sport that you just pick up at 15, 16 and say, yeah, I'm going to be a pro. Hell no. Can I tell you something? Yeah. I respect every sport.
Starting point is 00:45:05 And it kind of makes me sad sometimes when you don't believe how good I am at certain sports. I believe you're good. In high school, in high school, at Miami Beach Senior High, I played baseball.
Starting point is 00:45:19 I was considered almost going into the first round, but I chose to play football instead i was a five tooler no i was a five tooler i was a five tooler in high school that's how good i was what is what are the five tools dude what you mean what are the five tools i was a slugger outfield you couldn't get that. I would like, I used to pitch too. I would like Sheho Ohtani.
Starting point is 00:45:49 In high school. I did everything. I bullshit you not. So in other words, you can hit for power, hit for average. Yes, yes. I did everything. Cat's throat. Cat's throat, man.
Starting point is 00:46:02 Listen, everything. I was a five-tooler. Hey, no, I promise you. I was finna get drafted's throat, man. Listen, everything. I was a five-tooler. Hey, no. I promise you. I was finna get drafted to the Baltimore Orioles. Oh, God. Ocho. Like I'm saying,
Starting point is 00:46:13 I mean, think about it. Think about how hard it is. There have not been a whole lot of guys. That's why you think people give Prime and Bo so much credit. Yes, sir. Because it's so hard to do that. Very, very, very.
Starting point is 00:46:26 Kyler Murray. Kyler Murray was the number one overall pick in football. He was the number eight pick in baseball. Yeah, that's crazy. Brian Jordan. I don't know if you remember Brian Jordan. He played safety. He ended up, he was a safety for the Falcons, a pro bowler.
Starting point is 00:46:41 He gave it up and turned, and he played probably 15 years for the Cardinals. I don't know if all the years, but a lot of the years, bro, that baseball is a different animal. Think about Ocho. Think about this year. You hit 300.
Starting point is 00:46:58 You're going to be a Hall of Famer. Where else can you fail? You can be successful three out of ten times imagine if you caught three out of ten balls that were thrown to you or you made three out of ten shots you'll be at home on the couch so that lets you know just how hard baseball is man hey i was i ain't gonna lie to people. I was scared of the ball. So that was my...
Starting point is 00:47:27 And plus, baseball was summer. It wasn't that we ain't have no traveling. I had to work. Mary Porter said, you go hit them fields. He ain't hit no baseball, hit them fields. But I'm cool with that.
Starting point is 00:47:36 Plus, Ocho, you think, you go from football to basketball, basketball to track. Right. You have another month of school. As soon as we got out of school, we're in the fields. Yeah, yeah. Man, no time for no baseball, no damn baseball.
Starting point is 00:47:50 Baseball and track overlap. Yeah. Damn, I would, boy, I wish you could have saw me. Boy, I'm telling you. Hey, I wish you could have saw me pitch, boy, back then, boy. Pitch what? Oh, Lord have mercy.
Starting point is 00:48:07 You heard me? Yeah, I heard you. Hold on, hold on, hold on. I'm trying to get my camera. I see the technique. You see that? Yeah, I see that? Yeah, I see that. Hey, boy,
Starting point is 00:48:32 I used to give him hell in high school. The five tools you had. You have a long boy. Let me tell you. Let me see how good I was. Can I tell you the five tools you had? In the outfield,
Starting point is 00:48:42 I was the only person in the outfield. Mm-hmm. That's how good I was. Yeah, lawnmower. An edger, a weed eater, a rake, a rake. Those are tools.
Starting point is 00:48:54 A blower. Those are four of the tools that you had. Man, they make you five tools. Lawnmower, an edger, a blower, a weedger, a blower, a weed eater, and whatever the hell you wanted. Because those are the only tools that you had, bro.
Starting point is 00:49:10 I'm telling you, man. You got, you know, until you see it, you would never believe it. Some people say, I didn't know Ocho could play soccer until they saw it. Then they see me,
Starting point is 00:49:20 I didn't know Ocho could play tennis until you see it. Ocho, Ocho, Ocho. You kicking a soccer ball and actually being a soccer player, they're entirely two different things. Hey, do me a favor. Do me a favor.
Starting point is 00:49:33 Are you going to the TST tournament? You're not going. No. So when you see the highlights from the tournament and you be like, oh shit, this motherfucker really know how to play. Make sure you give my credit. Ocho,
Starting point is 00:49:46 there are guys that can go shoot a basketball and they think they can be in the NBA. There are guys that think they can catch a football. They should be in the NFL. There's levels to that, Ocho. Man, don't do that. Don't do them people like that, Ocho. Don't do what?
Starting point is 00:49:59 I've been doing this since I was five. Respect them people's sport. You can't play no damn soccer. I can't? No. See, I don't like when you do me like that. I don't like when you do me like that. I got to keep you realistic.
Starting point is 00:50:14 Hold on. So I can't play tennis either, huh? You see me play tennis? No. No, you can't. Okay. No. You not returning one third.
Starting point is 00:50:21 Just because you can't do it don't mean I can't. You can't return one. Listen. Listen, Unc. you not returning one just because you can't do it don't mean you can't return what listen there listen um there are clips of me doing everything you saying i can't do which makes no sense i tell you what you not returning one professional tennis player serve you said respect their sport so i wouldn't be playing on a professional level then what are we talking about we talk about just playing the game. Oh, yeah. Yeah, well, I can do that. I got that shoe. I can do all that. Yeah. No, you can't.
Starting point is 00:50:49 No, you can't. Yes, I can. Yes, I can. No, you can't. Matter of fact, I can go play right now. I can go right now and make the Miami open. Miami open what? The Miami open. In tennis? Yes.
Starting point is 00:51:06 Right now. At 56. I can go play for y'all. Matter of fact, I can go play for Napoli and Naples, Italy. Right now. Coming off the bench. No. You'll never see no action. Yeah. I'm going to see that.
Starting point is 00:51:22 Ocho. Yeah. Because you said you were going to be able to play professionally I'm talking about professionally I didn't say professionally though I would just talk about it I'm really good at the things that I take seriously Oh yeah, you're going to play to old people
Starting point is 00:51:34 There are a lot of old people down in Miami I don't play old people I play the younger folks to let them know how good I am Despite my age God, Lord have mercy Yeah, that's what I do. Man, Ocho, you got the people believing up, man. I believe Ocho could play.
Starting point is 00:51:56 I can. If you, if you, see, you don't pay attention to what I be doing, man. It's what I do. Oh, Lord have mercy. Look, I was at a celebrity tennis tournament with Andre Agassi and Pete Sanford. Yeah. You not hit that ball.
Starting point is 00:52:19 Trust me. Have you ever seen a professional tennis match? I go to the Miami Open every year I know what it look like bro listen do you know I'm my hidden partner I'm Chris Eubanks hidden partner
Starting point is 00:52:35 like I said I'm being honest I'm Chris Eubanks hidden partner so the fact that I know what it looks like I can return I can the fact that I know what it looks like, I can return. You're not going to... I can do all that. I mean, you wouldn't have been able...
Starting point is 00:52:50 I play with the pros. You wouldn't have been able to hit or return Venus Luss Arena, let alone the men. Man, I'm talking... Man, listen, man. See, you disrespected my... You disrespected my skill, man.
Starting point is 00:53:01 No, no, no, no. You over-evaluating your skill. No, I'm not over-evaluating because I train and I practice with the pros. That's what you fail to realize. Ocho, do you realize how many people that played sports that didn't cross over?
Starting point is 00:53:18 Like, you got two. You got three. You got Bo. You got Dion. You got Brian Jordan. You ain't never seen nobody play professional football and basketball. You'll never see nobody play for... Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Starting point is 00:53:30 I play professional soccer and football. Hold up, let me go go. All right, guys, it's time for Q and A. Wait, where you going? During the NFL lockout, I played for Sporting KC in the MLS. So what? I'm a two-sporter too. Yeah, yeah. Let's go, boy. for Sporting KC in the MLS. So, what? I'm a two-sporter too. Yeah!
Starting point is 00:53:47 Yeah! Let's go, boy! Lainey Ray said, so excited to get my merch. Got any spoilers for us for the merch? That hasn't dropped, like quotes that will be on them.
Starting point is 00:53:58 Also, I need some Shannon and Ocho stickers for my water bottle. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. We got some quotes coming. You know, we got a bunch of them. I mean, damn near every quote that you heard us
Starting point is 00:54:10 utter on the show is going to probably be on a t-shirt at some point. We wanted to get Ocho's stay with me now, but we're definitely going to have, Laney, we're definitely going to have,
Starting point is 00:54:25 Laney, we're definitely going to have more quotes on t-shirts, different designs. We're going to come with different colors of hoodies because the thing is with nightcap, because the lettering and it's kind of, it's fairly simple.
Starting point is 00:54:40 It's not as complicated as the club Shea She Che, the logo. So we can do so much more with nightcap. I mean, yeah, with nightcap that we can Club Che Che. But, Laney, we're definitely going to have some quotes, and I can't wait. I don't know. What's the next quote going to be?
Starting point is 00:55:02 Oh, we can't tell you yet. Actually, we can't tell you yet. Actually, we can't tell you yet. But best believe I'm too big of a cat to be played with like a kitten going to be on it. Oat your head. Probably milk done. We probably
Starting point is 00:55:18 We probably going to have one with a monkey on it and have some nuts. So we have the monkey with a pair of clippers in his hands and have the nuts. So you have the fur that is shaved
Starting point is 00:55:44 monkey nuts. I like that. so you have to infer that it's shaved lucky nuts I like that I know you like some more boo and jive you like boo and jive yeah probably the next one is I was hell when I was well and I would lie for you before I lied to you
Starting point is 00:56:01 those are probably going to be the next two I'd lie for you before I lie to you. Those are probably going to be the next two. I'll lie for you before I lie to you. Hey, that one right there? That's from 1849. Sean DeBeer Lipsy said, who's the face of the Celtics? Tatum or Brown? Do you think they get along?
Starting point is 00:56:19 I think they get along great. I would probably say, I would probably say it's Jason Tatum. Yeah. But I do believe they get along. I think they get along well. I think they, do I think they hang together off the court
Starting point is 00:56:36 and stuff like that? No. But I do think they get along well. At one point, weren't they saying Jason Tatum was going to be the face of the league at one point? Yes. Yeah. So if he's going to be the face of the league, he was going to be the face of the league at one point yes yeah
Starting point is 00:56:45 so if he's going to be the face of the league you got to be the face of the team it's kind of hard to be the face of a league when you're not the face of your team wouldn't you say yeah you're right so yeah I think I think it's Tatum
Starting point is 00:57:02 but I do think they get along Kemper Norwood Jr. said, my question is, who's the finals MVP other than Jason Tatum or Jalen Brown? I mean, if they win, it's going to be one of those guys. Would I be shocked if Jason Tatum won it? I mean, excuse me, Jalen Brown won it? No, I wouldn't.
Starting point is 00:57:24 Especially if he plays like he's been playing the first two rounds. Yeah. But obviously, if the Mavericks win, it's going to probably be Luka. And if Minnesota wins it all,
Starting point is 00:57:42 it'll probably be Ant-Man. Damn. I mean, occasionally you see situations. Cornbread Maxwell won the finals MVP in 81 over Larry Bird. Andre Iguodala, he won it over Steph. Kawhi won it early in his career
Starting point is 00:58:02 with Tim Duncan, Tony Parker on the roster. So it doesn't happen often, but it's happened. What you doing? Trying to plug that up? Yeah, so it don't go dead. What's up, Unc and Tocho? Tocho.
Starting point is 00:58:24 What's the second most important... What's the second most important position in football? The second most important position in football is... Oh, important. I wish they had said difficult. Damn, that's a good one. A very good one.
Starting point is 00:58:41 Obviously, the first is always the quarterback. Second most important position that matters the most. I want to... Oh, that's... I don't know. Well, you better... You might be better suited to answer that one.
Starting point is 00:59:02 Because no one else has the ball in their hand consistently enough. But who can affect the game? Who can affect the game more by the position that they play? The de-tackle? I saw this earlier. And everybody gave some great responses. You know, some people said the wide receiver. Some people said cornerback, somebody.
Starting point is 00:59:26 All things being equal, I would take, I'd probably say a left tackle. I'd probably say the tackle. Oh, that's a good one. I was thinking, I'm not sure why I was thinking D tackle because they can affect the game so much on the defensive side of the ball. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:41 I think the thing is, because here's the thing, Ocho. I don't care how good my quarterback is, but if he getting hit in his back, he ain't throwing nothing. I can't get the ball to Chase. I can't get the ball to Tyreek. And yeah, I mean, if you said O-line, D-line, but it's got to be specific.
Starting point is 01:00:02 It's got to be a DT or O. Because, look, the center's important, but give me a left tackle over center. Yeah. And I would take... Now, if you're going to take LT out of the equation, I ain't taking no defensive player over LT. But if you tell me I got to take any other defensive player,
Starting point is 01:00:24 I would take Aaron. That makes sense. Wake up with football every morning and listen to my new podcast, NFL daily with Greg Rosenthal five days a week. Jacob Mota said, Uncle Nocho, big fan.
Starting point is 01:01:42 I hardly hear y'all speak about y'all father. And I'm a daddy's boy. But I haven't spoken to him in almost a year because X, Y, Z. Can you guys talk about your father? And how should I go about my situation? Jacob, I only saw my father one time in my life to actually know who he was. Actually, I saw him twice. One time he knew who I was. the other time he had no idea because he was lying in the coffin um so i don't have a whole lot of experiences dealing with my father because you know once i was he and my mom divorced and they broke up and and and we came to live with my grandmother 19 my grandmother my grandfather 1970 um he came i think i was in the he came in 73 i was in kindergarten he came in 73 um and then the next time i saw him was 81 and he
Starting point is 01:02:37 he had passed um but i do think about my father i think think about, I thought so much about my father and I respected him, even though I didn't know him. I named my son after him. My son has his name. So I didn't have the relationship that I wish I could have had with my father. So he could have saw what my brother and I became, how we conducted ourselves as men. I know he would have been proud.
Starting point is 01:03:11 But I had, you know, my grandfather was in my life for nine years, almost nine years. And so I have a better recollection of my grandfather, not so much of my dad. But that's why I don't really speak about it because I don't really have a whole lot to speak about. Well, my father wasn't around during my time as a little kid.
Starting point is 01:03:36 Obviously, my grandma raised me. And my dad at that time did 23 years, 23 years, fair time. I caught him on the back end, well, not even the back end, My dad at that time did 23 years, 23 years, fair time. I caught him on the back end, well, not even the back end, maybe in, yeah, the back end of my career. He got out. And obviously, you know, grandma and my mom were like, oh, no. You know, he wasn't here when you was young and all that. Ain't no point in trying to rekindle no relationship and all that.
Starting point is 01:04:02 I was like, man, I ain't trying to heal all that. You know, I'm trying to understand, get a better understanding of who my father is. I know what it's like having to deal with y'all. So ain't no telling what y'all did. Whatever. Whatever it may be. So I grew to have a relationship with him. And he want none.
Starting point is 01:04:19 He want none. He wanted a pipe and he wanted some tobacco for his pipe. And we used to smoke my cigar and he go get his pipe man we used to go down to south beach and man eat at davis cat i'd never forget because no my my pops passed away he passed away in 2010 if i'm not mistaken 20 yeah the 2011 he passed away so i tried to you know to you, find some type of relationship that I had never had because I didn't have a father figure at the time. So when he got out and, you know, it was short lived because he got out. He wasn't he wasn't around very much. You know, very much longer after that.
Starting point is 01:04:58 And so it is hard for me to really have an answer for you as well but listen whatever you do rekindle rekindle that flame any way you can because my mom is gone my daddy gone my grandma not here and at times i really wish i really wish they were here you know yeah i think the thing is ocho people know that i have a great recollection of things that have happened in my childhood i don't recall much because like i said i only saw him once to know who i was looking at in my 56 years of living right so i can't speak about something um i know he loved us um yeah the time that he was going to come home he ended up having his got developed cancer end up having both of his jawbones removed. And he was going to come home, but he told Grandma Charlie,
Starting point is 01:05:48 which was his mother, our grandmother, that he didn't want his kids to see him like this. And I remember Grandma Charlie explaining to us, to my Pete, they called him Pete.
Starting point is 01:05:58 Like Pete, them kids, they just want to see their dad. And so he had gotten up the courage. He was going to come home and he was going to see us. He was going to come home around the time of his birthday. Because I think
Starting point is 01:06:15 my grandma's birthday is like two or three days before my daughter's. And then his birthday is like a couple of days after my daughter's. So I think he was going to come home around October.
Starting point is 01:06:27 He ended up passing in August. So I don't have a recollection of my father. So that's why I don't really speak that much about my father because I don't have a recollection, but I have my grandfather, even though I was
Starting point is 01:06:43 almost nine when he passed, I can remember things. Obviously, my grandmother was in my life until 2011. So, obviously, I have a better recollection of her and my mom. My mom, I give my mom credit for doing what she knew she could,
Starting point is 01:07:04 which was give us what our grandmother gave us. And it takes a special kind of person to do that because sometimes the best decisions don't involve you. And so I thank my mom for that situation, trying to raise two boys on the south side of Chicago in the 70s, probably not going to be what we became. And so I love my mom.
Starting point is 01:07:32 I take care of my mom. But the greatest recollection is with my grandparents, my sister, my brother. So we're going to be all right. Boss lady said hey hey your words are clear that you like your life now and will pursue what you want I'm open for love and I'm in a space for connection
Starting point is 01:07:54 now we're on two different pages no problem I'll fall back you love drama Ash love drama that might have been the one right there you never know Ash, you love drama. Ash loves drama. That might have been the one right there. You never know.
Starting point is 01:08:14 You love... Why you bothering me, man? I'm just trying to... Listen, man. Listen, I just want to see you happy, baby. That's all, man. You know, I just want to see you happy. You know, you're running yourself ragged. You're working yourself into the ground. And you ain't got nobody to go home to and rub on your
Starting point is 01:08:28 feet and rub your back. I don't know. I just want you happy, man. You say you're happy, but I tell you, I tell you every time, the Bible say a man who findeth a wife findeth a good thing. And I just want you to find it a good thing. That's all. That's all. Nothing more, nothing less. Now, when I get married next year, you know? What about a 5'7", 135-pound red bone?
Starting point is 01:08:55 What if I find one of them? A five who? 5'7", 135. 135? Yeah. What color? You said red bone? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:06 Yeah, I got a few of them for you. Probably about 6'2", 240, 245. God, okay, okay. I like to ruffle. Hey, matter of fact, you just put the memo out there. If you 6'4", 245. No, 6'2". Oh, 6'2". 6'2", between 225, 240.
Starting point is 01:09:30 Yeah. 5'10", 6' between 200, 225. Yeah. Or 5'7". Right. But I'm looking for what, like, this is how you know a girl. If you ever see a girl and she, like, pigeon-toed in one foot, that left foot, normally that left
Starting point is 01:09:48 foot, she kind of turn it a little bit. Right. You got to win her. Wait, on one foot? Only on one foot. She kind of pigeon-toed. I can't do that. I can't. Yeah, Ocho. When I see her, I keep birdseed on me because I don't know whether
Starting point is 01:10:04 to say hello or throw birdseed at him. But after he got pinched in the toe with that one foot. Every little thing going to be all right, Ocho. Everything going to be all right. Okay. One foot, I just, something just don't, I don't know. It just, I think when I think of one foot being pinched in the toe, I'm thinking, you saw Usual Suspects? Yeah,
Starting point is 01:10:26 Kyle DeSouza? I'm thinking of Kyle DeSouza coming out of that damn thing at the end and one foot pigeon-toed, and that just don't sit right with me. I don't like that visual. Yeah, yeah, man. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They asked me to do
Starting point is 01:10:43 a hook-up with real cousin. Really? Really? I didn't try it. Yeah, man. Somebody said they 5'6", 150, I'm paying bills. Oh,
Starting point is 01:11:00 shoot. That's what I'm talking about. Oh, shorty. Oh, man, shorty what I'm talking about. Oh, man. He's paying bills. Man. That might be the one right there, you know? Sometimes it's good to be on the receiving end of things. Listen, I like my life as a stay-at-home father. Right now, I got all the kids.
Starting point is 01:11:22 She out there having fun with all the girls and stuff. But I'm cool. I'm cool. Five, nine, one, thirty-five. Yeah, right now I got all the kids. She out there having fun with all the girls and stuff. But I'm cool. I'm cool. Five, nine, 135. Yeah, you, you, yeah, you. Oh, five, nine, 135. That's too short. Five, nine for a woman?
Starting point is 01:11:34 You said five, ten or better. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I'm saying, you know, I gave three. You know, I'm saying normally you go to, you get flavors. You get strawberry, you get chocolate. You get strawberry, you get chocolate. You get vanilla. You get vanilla swirl. You get a cookie dough.
Starting point is 01:11:52 You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? You get Oreo. You know, a birthday cake. I'm just saying, I just gave you three flavors, Ochoa. Right, right, right. Okay, okay, okay, okay. I'm just checking.
Starting point is 01:12:01 I'm just checking. I'm just checking. Well, you got to find you somebody. You got to, I mean, I mean,. I'm just checking. I'm just checking. I'm just checking. Well, you got to find you somebody. You got to, I mean, I mean, the world, the world is your oyster. I don't know what movie I heard that in, but. Five film, 155.
Starting point is 01:12:12 Okay, okay. Five film, 155. Yeah. Yeah. When I think about it, it should be so easy for you to find somebody because, like, it's so many of what you're looking for.
Starting point is 01:12:27 That's the problem. It's so many. That's the problem. When you're a kid and they get your money and they say go to the store and you only get one thing. How many things did you grab, Ocho? Two, three? Well, no, because if I only had enough money for one, I'm getting that one thing and I'm going to buy just that one.
Starting point is 01:12:45 Nah, you got a dollar and they give you a dollar and they say, okay, you can only get one thing. But I got a dollar. I can get more than one thing. I want to spend the whole dollar. Ah, I see where you're going. I see where you're going. Now, we factor in, now that's what we got to factor in discipline.
Starting point is 01:13:03 Okay? We've got to factor in discipline. You's where we've got to factor in discipline you find you one you like now everybody come with baggage everybody come with some bullshit you find you one you like whose baggage you willing to unpack and then you make it
Starting point is 01:13:16 you make hey you make it do what it do oh shit yeah I'm telling you I'm telling you like you watch the track and field meet today. I missed it. I saw Sha'Carra ran a goddamn 10-8, though. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:30 She look good. I seen she ran a goddamn 10-8. Smooth to easy. Easy. See, like them women's shot putters. Yeah. Discus thrower. Yes, sir.
Starting point is 01:13:42 Now, all you got to do is just put a little name out there. They're going to see this. No, I didn't a little name out there. They're going to see this. No, I ain't put no name out there. I'm just saying. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. I'm starting to work it out. Just put a name out there. They're going to see this.
Starting point is 01:13:57 Nah, I ain't put no name out there. Nah, nah. Stop. Hey, I'm just throwing a you throwing a shot throwing a shot put nah nah nah
Starting point is 01:14:12 that's my problem I mean I just like I love beautiful women Ocho right right right right that's why I stay at my house yeah I mean but I've been telling do all the shopping. You know?
Starting point is 01:14:27 Shelly, you handle that. Send me stuff. Hey. You can find you one, though. Mm-mm. Is she out there? I know she is. She out there.
Starting point is 01:14:39 And you have a plan. One or 100 might be out there. What? One or 100 might be out there. We? One or 100 might be out there. We can make it one. You done had enough time. You done been through. You done did the 100 already.
Starting point is 01:14:51 You done did that already. You done did that in the early, late 80s, early 90s, early 2000s. Now it's time to simmer down a little bit. Okay. It's time to simmer down a little bit. Get you one. All you need is one good one. You know, one good season one, you know?
Starting point is 01:15:10 Yeah. Wow. Arkansas women just broke the collegiate national, the collegiate record in the 4x4 in the regionals, 321-88. Those women were booking. Ooh, they were moving, boy. Golly. They booking. They booking, booking. those women were booking they were moving boy golly they booking they booking booking
Starting point is 01:15:29 that's live Tony Boy said hey you mentioned picking peas I remember making $7 a day hot as hell I didn't go back what's the most you made in a day well a lot of times I had two jobs
Starting point is 01:15:44 we work in the back of field what's the most you made in a day? Well, a lot of times I had two jobs. We work in the back of field. I would make the most I ever made on a day probably $28. $28? Yeah. But I work from seven. I work from like seven to five, 35 five seven to six into the back of fields and then i walk went caught we went caught we catch
Starting point is 01:16:12 on average somewhere between 12 and 16 000 chickens and so it was like nine of us and we got a dollar thousand so every thousand chickens we caught we got a dollar and we had a small crew we were really young uh and so they would only let us catch we were like the c group they had a group that would catch somewhere between 40 and 50 000 a night that a group that would catch somewhere between 30 and 35 000 a night and then i mean 20 to 30 000 a night and we catch average 10 to 16 the most we ever caught was 16. The least we've ever caught was probably 8. But we're somewhere around 10 to 12. So I made $28.
Starting point is 01:16:50 That's the most I've ever made. But I worked about probably about 18 hours for that. Dang. Way to get it. But I'm dressed to the nine they tell you quick O'Shea kept Izzard on him O'Shea kept Polo on him
Starting point is 01:17:12 kept Darksiders on my feet and had the Izzard belt to match the Izzard shirt to match the Izzard socks y'all better stop playing and the Lee jeans had Lee jeans, Calvin Klein sergio rigolettos yeah for sure okay for sure had it like that i had to get it
Starting point is 01:17:33 i spent all my money on one shirt i spent all my money in the week by $20 $25 eyes on see my brother he cheap he. He bought like three or four from JCPenney. Not old Chateau. They already know. My brother still call me to this day. Call me Chateau because they knew I love the final phase. Call me Chateau Brion. Had to get it. I like it.
Starting point is 01:17:58 Oh, yeah, but that was about me. I had to work. I mean, I called chickens from the fourth grade all the chickens from the fourth grade all the way to the eighth grade. So you were working, working. Yeah. I was doing school year too.
Starting point is 01:18:13 I caught chickens during school. Well, you know what? I worked during school year. My sophomore and my junior year, I was at McDonald's. McDonald's on 62nd Street right here by Edison. Yeah. Right here in Miami. That's how it all started. Then when I was at
Starting point is 01:18:29 college at Santa Monica, before, listen, the money was slow, man, before I had to go do that you-know-what. I was at Cougaroo. You know about Cougaroos? That thing sound familiar. Yeah, in LA. Man, I worked at Cougaroo Chicken and I worked at KB Toy Store and Crenshaw familiar. Yeah, in L.A., man, I rode a kookaroo chicken
Starting point is 01:18:45 and I rode a KB toy store in Crenshaw Mall. Man, that money was too slow, huh? That money was too slow for what I was trying to do as a young fella in college, man. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:18:58 I will take you back. You want to go catch chickens? I'll let you see what it's like to catch chickens. Me? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Man, that ain't nothing, man. Catching chickens is easy, man.
Starting point is 01:19:12 Three in one hand, three in the other. Oh, that's easy. Right around the neck? No, you got to... By their feet. Y'all do it by their feet? Yeah. Three in one hand, three in the other. Now, you got to understand now, how old am I? I'm nine. I'm three in the other. Now, you got to understand now, how old am I? I'm nine.
Starting point is 01:19:26 I'm nine in the fourth grade. Nine, 10, 11, 12. So I did that until I was like 12 or 13. Yeah. You know, I ain't got, I ain't have the hands I got now. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But, you know, we go to that fag boy, we haul them birds. We come up out of there, boy.
Starting point is 01:19:42 Yeah. Hey, we go in there getting there by 9 30 9 30 probably start about 9 30 about one o'clock we're coming up out that thing go home get about four hours of sleep take a bath in the tub wash yourself off get ready for school yeah oh yeah i had to get that thing break right off a little something oh yeah I'm gonna have my sister send me that
Starting point is 01:20:08 what you call them that uh my W2 out of W2 I made in 1977 I think I made like $300
Starting point is 01:20:14 $300 that boy was eating woo woo but I did I did good made $300 you know had a little store credit get me like four or five hundred buns but I did. I did. Good. Made 300,
Starting point is 01:20:25 you know, had a little store credit. Get me like four or five honey buns. But I love honey buns on show, man. Oh, well, who you telling?
Starting point is 01:20:36 I told you that that's, that's a delicacy. I didn't know. Well, I don't know where y'all from, but for me, I put that honey bun in the refrigerator, the refrigerator in the microwave. Yeah. By 10, 11 seconds. Yeah. And don't know where y'all from, but for me, I put that honey bun in the refrigerator. In the microwave?
Starting point is 01:20:45 About 10, 11 seconds? Don't play with me. Don't even play with me. We call them truck driver steaks. Truck driver steak? Yeah, we try to be truck driver, be tearing them things up. Now you get a honey bun, a vine of sausages,
Starting point is 01:21:02 and a Coca-Cola. Oh, hold on, hold on, hold on. What you know about the Big Texas Cinnamon Roll? Oh, yeah. With the purple wrap, man. Yeah. You warm it.
Starting point is 01:21:12 Man, listen. Woo! Let me take my glass off because I'm bringing back memories and I'm about to cry. Hey. You know about Zingers? Remember Zingers?
Starting point is 01:21:22 What are they? Man, Zingers is, um... They have chocolate and they have vanilla. Zingers? Remember Zingers? What are they? Man, Zingers is, they have chocolate and they have vanilla. Zingers. Uh-huh. Moon pies. Oh, I know about Moon Pie.
Starting point is 01:21:32 You know about Moon Pie? Yeah, yeah, yeah. See, that marshmallow, that yellow one, that yellow one. Yes. That yellow one. Yes.
Starting point is 01:21:40 Yeah. Ain't nothing like a Moon Pie. I don't really, the chocolate one okay but it's that yellow one hey zebra cakes oh yeah I'm messing with zebra cakes actually I got me some oatmeal pies in there right now
Starting point is 01:21:53 oh I got some I got some oatmeal remember oatmeal raisin pies though yeah yeah throwback oh yeah for sure all the stuff I used to eat Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, with the razors on them. Yeah, the blue. Throwback. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 01:22:07 Oh, man. Man, all the stuff I used to eat, I used to eat that stuff, Ocho. I ate a minute of it. I said, Lord, please don't let me eat this when I get grown. Every so often.
Starting point is 01:22:18 Ocho eating sardines. Every so often. Sometimes I just buy it just to like open it like sardines I bought the sardines and then they came up with the mustard sauce in it y'all know what I'm talking about and I was just like lord sardines and then saltine
Starting point is 01:22:33 I'm like lord please the vineyard sausages yeah lord please man that bring back good memories man eating spam eating that bologna damn I eat some squirrel and rice right now bring back good memories, man. Eating spam, eating that bologna. Damn.
Starting point is 01:22:50 I eat some squirrel and rice right now. Somebody cook it. Man, don't mention nothing about food right now, boy. I'm hungry. I eat one time a day. Hey, who know about catching chickens? I'm going to take Ocho. I'm going to see if he can laugh. He always talking about he can do something.
Starting point is 01:23:06 I give him an hour. Anything I say I can do, I can do. I give him about an hour. Then back, go lock up. Lock up? Yeah. Because you got to bend down to get the chickens. You ain't used to bending down like that no more, Ocho.
Starting point is 01:23:19 Yes, I am. Oh, my. And you know what? We might do a thing. Hey, I'm going to call the people at the Claxton Portrait Plant. Yeah, let them know. I'm going to say, we want to do a reality show. Listen, if you let me out there, give me some football cleats.

Starting point is 01:23:58 it at one end, and you take a flashlight because chickens huddle together. So they're easy to catch, but it's just a constant repetition of bending over and picking up three birds in one hand, three birds in the other and walking them out and handling them up.
