Join me, Lily Herman, as we dive into the under-explored pockets of F1, including the story of the woman who last participated in a Formula One race weekend, the recent uptick in F1 romance novels, and plenty of mishap scandals and sagas that have made Formula One a delightful, decadent dumpster fire for more than 75 years.

Starting point is 00:01:39 Two active players giving you a real look at our lives and what we actually think, on and off the court. Nothing's off limits. We talk tanking. I might get in trouble for this answer, but I think it's, like, definitely happening in the WBA. We talk about our mistakes, too. They pulled me to the side and was like, hey, man, we got a call last night, man. You can't be rolling around the city like this tonight before games.
Starting point is 00:02:01 Check out Game Recognizing. game with Stulian Miles on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I'm Daniel Jeremiah. And I am Greg Rosenthal. I know that, Greg. We're teaming up on 40s and free agents, the podcast that owns the NFL offseason. This is where teams are built. Free agency, combine, pro days, trades. Every move matters. From my draft boards and mock drafts to my vaunted top 101 free agents and how rosters come together. Quarterback movement. Surprise signings. will tell you what it means and who really wins. Open your free IHeart radio app.
Starting point is 00:02:36 Search 40s and free agents and listen now. Lakers, over the next. Luca Donches, his past, he had 41 tonight. He had 43, 33, 32, 33, 60, 40, 36, 30, 35, 44. Make it case, Luca. Make it K. Hey.
Starting point is 00:02:55 It ain't enough games left, man. I just think it's a little bit too. And plus, I think the thing is, Voters don't like all that complaining. They don't. This notion that, oh, he don't play no defense. You voted for other guys in the past that didn't play defense. So don't give me that.
Starting point is 00:03:13 If you want to say, you know what, I think they're more deserving candidates. But don't make this, oh, he complained and he don't play no defense. Because most superstars get calls, they complain when they think they get filed and it doesn't get called. Now, is he excessive with it? Absolutely. Absolutely. excessive with it. But this notion that, oh, I can't vote for Luca because he complained and this and that. It's his, his, I feel like his play is making up for that. You know, for what it like,
Starting point is 00:03:43 I don't care what nobody say, you can't count him out. He's in the top three, four guys, five guys in the MVP. I mean, he leading the league and scoring. This is what, this is, this is, this is what, probably 10, 30 point game or something like that plus game. Oh, yeah. I think he on the streak of like eight, nine, 30 point games. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. Yeah, this is 10th game. Tenth game in a row of having 30 plus points. He had 41 tonight.
Starting point is 00:04:13 Hey, listen, him and AR, they come to play. Look, Brun, Brun, just kind of, he's sitting in the back back there. He's like, I got y'all. I'm going to sniper. I'm going to sniper. I'm going to snipe him from afar. But you know what? But concerning to me, what?
Starting point is 00:04:25 Is it free throw, Joe? They missed 13 tonight. They went to the line 42 times. They missed 13. You go back and look at Indiana. They're missing double fifth. And in the postseason, the games are close. Free throws will matter.
Starting point is 00:04:40 You play. And second of all, I don't like the fact, I understand the Nets are team. But the mere fact that you, it took you until like the last five minutes to win the Nets away. I don't like that. I agree. They came out. They were playing with their fool, man.
Starting point is 00:04:54 Playing with their fool. They'll come back to Bice you. Yep. Yep. LeBron four for seven from the free throw line AR 8 for 11 from the free throw line Jackson Hayes 4 of 10 from the free throw line Ruy 2 or 4 from the free throw line
Starting point is 00:05:09 Yeah You you A And I also I look at the plus minuses For the Lakers, Luca plus 19 Bronn plus 19 AR plus 26 Like that means that means something
Starting point is 00:05:24 You know what I mean They're giving you good value Good valuable minutes Even Brondon came up Hold on, you see, you see who passed it to him? Brunt got the sister high. Hey, listen, that's got to be some of the coolest thing. Like when it comes to, yeah, play it.
Starting point is 00:05:43 Come on, bro. Come on. That's dope. You know, me and my son, we play up here lifetime together. You know what I mean? Like, we won us a lifetime championship while y'all play it for real. Hey, Joe, oh, your son, Joe? He's 19.
Starting point is 00:05:56 Hey, tell him, he can come get some of the work too, now. Yeah, yeah. I worry about him, Ocho, because you and him got the same birthday, so I kind of worry about him a little bit. You know what I mean? Okay. But listen, when we get that one-on-one, you know, we can make it a family affair if you want to.
Starting point is 00:06:11 What did you say, you want to play him too? Yeah. After I beat you, he can go, he could be next. After you play me potter, you ain't going to want no more. Trust me. All right. Yeah, yeah. What was I on?
Starting point is 00:06:28 This man then. You talk about Luca, Luca, the past 10 days. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, Luca. I mean, Luca's probably averaging. He's probably averaging 37, 38 over this. I think they're 8 and 2. They lost to, they should have never lost to Detroit. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:47 They had Detroit. I don't know why JJ didn't sub. Just because for defense, put your best defender and put Van Gogh in and let him take the guard. You don't put AR. A.R is not a defender. Now, if it's an officer, We need offense.
Starting point is 00:07:03 Okay, you leave it as well. But defensively. Hey, but I, but other than that, I got a question of you, the Lakers, what you want? You want the third or the fourth spot, on it depends on who you play first. You know who you're going to,
Starting point is 00:07:15 I'm saying, you know who first and second and coming out to West. So if you're in that third spot, you're going to have a number two. If you're in that fourth spot, you're going to have to play OKC number one. I want to play, I'm being the third. You want to play San Antonio?
Starting point is 00:07:30 I do a deal with San Antonio. Versus... Versus... Because I was saying, hey, I'm going to say, we can take advantage of their youth. You probably can. But, hey, I can think that. OKC, OKC's been there, done that.
Starting point is 00:07:44 They're going to sweep them. They're going to try to sweep them for no reason, ain't there? Hey, as bad as... I don't want to say as they are defensively. But let's say they do get the spurs, huh? And Joe, how do the Lakers deal with a goddamn... Wimby? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:00 Wimby? What's going to be hard is it's going to be hard for Aiden to play because Wimbe ain't going to have to really guard him. You know what I'm saying? He can just kind of play that DB, that cornerback, you know, and just kind of roam. Because Aiden ain't going to be no, he ain't going to be no threat on the three-point line. You feel what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:08:19 Awesome. Obviously, the number one seed is OKC. Then you got San Antonio, you got the Lakers. The Nuggets are in the four spot. The T-Wools are in the five spot. The Rockets are in the six spot. Suns are seven, which really doesn't matter because they're the play-in. So seven plays eight and nine plays ten.
Starting point is 00:08:49 Damn. No, seven play ten and eight and nine play, right? And I go? Yeah. So if the playoffs ended the day, it would be Phoenix hosting the Warriors and the Clippers hosted. and the trailblazers. And the Lakers would host the Rockets and the Nuggets and T. Woods.
Starting point is 00:09:09 It's going to be a dog fight out there and their webs, boy. I mean, they're going to beat each other. I'm trying to, honestly, I'm trying to, I'm trying to, I'm trying to avoid the Nuggets the first round. I don't want to be four or five because I don't want, I don't want to deal with the Nuggets. I'll take my chance with the Rockets. I'll take my chance with Phoenix. And if I have to, I'll take my chance with the Clippers.
Starting point is 00:09:30 but I'm not dealing with them. I think because the way they're playing, the way they're playing now with Murray and they start to get their guys back, Gordon is back, Watson is back. It looked like there's Houston is who they're going to be playing, right? That's what it looked like.
Starting point is 00:09:46 Yeah, I like Houston. Houston been gaggleing. Houston had a 15-point lead in the overtime. You know why? Okay, seven plays eight. The winner advances, they're the seventh seed. And then a nine, ten, plays and the winner plays eight
Starting point is 00:10:05 and that's the eight seed. Yeah. Houston, they ain't got Houston ain't got that lead guard Ocho, who can, you know, when they get a little radic, get a little iraetic out there who can kind of calm everybody down and get their composure right. They lean on
Starting point is 00:10:21 KD for that and KD, he tied to he tired of a double and triple. But that's not what KD is. That's why if you look at when they put Katie in that situation, he turned the ball over. Go back to look at KD's last six, seven games. And how many turnovers he's hands? When Van Fleet come back on next year, huh?
Starting point is 00:10:37 He ain't going to come back. It's a rap. They're going to have to deal with what they got. Them young boys got to step up. Reed Shepard, the Thompson kid. Yeah. Yeah, they're going to have to play big, man. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:53 And so, but Lucas, Lucas's been playing out of his mind. I mean, you know, 41 and 8 tonight, 43, 7, and 6, 32, 6. 37 and 6, 3, 8, and 5, 60 points on 9, 3, 40, 10, and 36, 36, 6, and 4, 11, 11, 35, 8, 4, 44, 90. I think when I watch a Luca, he going to win the score entirely. Because if you look at Luca and what he does in the first quarter, Luca's going to give you somewhere between 12 and 18. If not more.
Starting point is 00:11:32 If not more. if not more. He is, the game has slowed down so much for him. And I think the biggest thing for me, Uncle Ocho, he doesn't defer to LeBron no more. He just comes out and plays his game. I may take 30 shots tonight. It may not take me but 16 shots tonight to get what I want.
Starting point is 00:11:52 But at the end of the day, I'm going to dictate the pace that this game is going to be played. And I just, Lakers have been playing great all year, man. All year. I ain't think they was going to be able to be able to. keep this up to where they're at the top of the west you know one of the top three teams in the west that's that's surprising
Starting point is 00:12:08 they're about to win 50 plus games they got a very manageable schedule yeah I ain't see this hey look this is why this is why my dog A-R from to get this bag can't let him go Arcoo
Starting point is 00:12:28 no can't let him go may not the chemistry that him and Luca has, the way they play off each other because they both can catch a shoot, they both can create, not only for themselves, but for others around them,
Starting point is 00:12:42 you got to have that. It's elite. You just hope they've learned from being in those situations, those playoff situations from last season against the Timberwolves when they got swept. You just hope they've learned from that.
Starting point is 00:12:54 Yeah. Luca was whistled for a 16-10-0. Uh-oh. And we'll face it what time. Come on, Luca. Luke isaiah Williamson with a sister double tech, a video review show. I'm Luke Wilson. Join me each week for Film Never Lies.
Starting point is 00:13:10 Since retiring from the NFL, I've had a lot of my mind, and now got my own show. So if you're tired of lazy takes, if you want honest conversations, join us each week. Film Never Lies, available on all TSN platforms in the IHeart Radio app. Why hasn't a woman formally participated in a Formula One race weekend in over a decade? Think about how many skills they have to develop at such a young age? What can we learn from all of the new F1 romance novels suddenly popping up every year? He still smelled of podium champagne and expensive friction. And how did a 2023 event called Wagageddon change the paddock forever?
Starting point is 00:13:48 That day is just seared into my memory. I'm culture writer and F1 expert Lily Herman, and these are just a few of the questions I'm tackling on no grip, a Formula One culture podcast that dives into the under-explored pockets of the sport. In each episode, a different guests and I will go deeper into the wacky mishap, scandals and sagas, both on the track and far away from it, that have made F1 a delightful, decadent dumpster fire for more than 75 years. Listen to no grip on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. If you're trying to keep up with everything happening on and off the court, we've got you covered on the podcast, flagrant and funny.
Starting point is 00:14:28 You look at the top four number one seeds. What do you think UCLA is going to do? Break down that for me, my friend. Obviously, Yukon is the overwhelming favorite in this tournament, but I'll be honest, I think people are kind of sleeping on Texas. Experts are suggesting that UCLA is the number one challenger to Yukon and that right after that would be Texas. S&C is so deep and so thick and just about everything, it really is annoying. So it's UCLA, Texas, South Carolina, LSU, only ones that could possibly upset Yukon. On Flagrin and Funny, we're giving our unfiltered takes on the biggest.
Starting point is 00:15:05 moments, the conversations everyone's having. So whether your bracket is busted or you just want the latest on the tournament, we got you. Listen to Flakron and Funny with Carrie Champion and Jamel Hill on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports. I'm John Green. You may know me as the author of The Fault and Our Stars, and now I guess also as the co-host of the Away End, a brand new world soccer podcast. I'm Daniel Alarcon, a writer and journalist, and just a good.
Starting point is 00:15:35 John and I have known each other since we were kids. My first World Cup was Mexico 86. I was nine years old. I watched every game, and I fell in love. On our new podcast, The Away End, we'll share with you the magic of international football, all leading up to the 2026 World Cup. For us, soccer, football,
Starting point is 00:15:51 is a story we've shared for over 30 years since Daniel was the star player on our high school soccer team. Very debatable. And I was their most loyal and sometimes only fan. I love this game. I love its history, its hope, its heartbreak, and above all, its beauty. Together, we'll find out why, of all the unimportant things, football, soccer, is the most important. Listen to the away end with Daniel Auer Kohn and John Green on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:16:26 What's up? I'm Miles Turner. And I'm Brianna Stewart. And our podcast, Game Recognized Game, has never been done before. Two active players giving you a real look at our lives and what we actually think on. and off the court. Nothing's off limits. We talk trade requests. What's the vibe of that when it's like your star player is like, well, I want to leave.
Starting point is 00:16:45 And then actually now I'm going to stay. We talk tanking. I mean, honestly, like, I might get in trouble for this answer, but I think it's like definitely happening in the WBA. And yeah, we talk about our mistakes too. They pulled me to the side and was like, hey, man, we got a call last night, man, you can't be rolling around the city like this tonight before games, no, you know, doing this, doing whatever.
Starting point is 00:17:07 And of course, family stories. They'll be like, mommy, why did you miss that? Mommy, do you play basketball? Check out Game Recognized game with Stuy and Miles on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Luca pushing Williams and Williams retaliating by swiping back at Donchard's face. Luca, you said that you hate, that you put your teammate in that situation. And I be damn, three, four days later, you had with you.
Starting point is 00:17:37 We are right back here. You are who you are. No, bro. It's in the game of hoops, Arcan Ocho, you got, you have to be able to control your emotions, bro.
Starting point is 00:17:49 Understanding what, what's that state, you ain't even got no more strikes. Bro, they didn't gave you 15 strikes already. You've had 15. Hey, Joe, if you got up to 15 strikes,
Starting point is 00:18:01 it ain't going to stop. At that point, if it ain't stopped after the first two, the person is who they are even to get the 15 because if you think he ain't going to get past 15, you already know he's going to get suspended at that time point. I understand that point, but what I'm... But what I'm saying is, if you know it says steak,
Starting point is 00:18:20 you're the hottest thing since fish grease in the league right now as far as scoring the ball. You're leading the league. We need you, bro. We don't need you sitting out. We're coming down to the wire. We're neck and neck with a couple teams. Man, listen, they don't need Luca out, bro.
Starting point is 00:18:35 He got to know that, man. He got to, because look, if I'm playing against you, Ankh and Ocho, and I know Ank, he get another tech, he's gone. I mean, I'm going to antagonize him a little bit. Yeah, I'm trying to go on. And it might not happen against us, but I'm going to make it easy for somebody else.
Starting point is 00:18:53 Right. Or they got the Wizards. Okay. All right. It's very simple. He was in schedule. Luca. Without consequences, there can be no lesson learned.
Starting point is 00:19:15 You see what happened the other night? What no consequences? So he didn't learn his lesson. And I got another one for you, and Joe. What's that? Even if he does get suspended, when he does get suspended, he still won't come back and still be him.
Starting point is 00:19:31 This is something that he's always done. He's always been. But the tech start back over again. Don't they start back over? Because you can only get five or six in the playoffs before you get suspended. But I think, they start all back over again.
Starting point is 00:19:45 But that's a game check that you're going to miss. And a game check for him. It's big money. Half a million dollars, $600,000. Come on, Luca, man, you've got to be better than that. Now, you said you apologize to your team that you put yourself in a bad spot, you put them in a bad spot, you got to be smarter,
Starting point is 00:20:07 you got to be better. And here we are, Luca, come on. He would provoke, man. He would provoke. But you got, I'm with you. That's what they're going to do. I'm with you. You got to be able to, you know,
Starting point is 00:20:16 you know, handle yourself. under them circumstances. I just, I was like, bro. Damn. Oh, who works at a Luka and Dreemann? Oh, there ain't nobody got, ain't nobody close to what Dreyman you got that door. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:34 Nah. You ain't see that when he played against the Pelican when he jumped on DeAndre Jordan. He, it was an accident though. He was a mistake. I get it. I get it. I think he said he was trying to.
Starting point is 00:20:51 the file, but I'm just saying for the way it looked from, you know, from a fan's perspective when you watch the game. When Draymar and Green jumped on DeAndre Jordan back this year. Nicola Yolkich, Jamar Murray, Jamar Murray had 31 points, 14 assists, 5-3s, he was 9 of 17.
Starting point is 00:21:15 Nicola Yolkich, 33 points, 15 rebounds, 12 assists. He was 13 of 16. Another insane performance. Because remember the other night, Murray had 53. Yokic had that that monster game. Joe, the better duo right now,
Starting point is 00:21:33 Yokit J. Murray or J.B. and J.B. and J.T. Right now, right now, no question. Yolkid Jemir. There's no question with that. The way that they both control the game, I'm saying, from a point guard standpoint, because Yokic is a point guard too. He just points in a point guard. They both can get you high, sis. And they can score at a high rate, too.
Starting point is 00:21:56 So they make guys around them better. And that's what you look for. And your best players, not only can you go get your own Uncle Ocho, but if I got a guy sitting over here, I got Ocho sitting in the corner, he can't create, but he can shoot the cover off of it? Can you get Ocho a shot? You know what I mean? It's a little thing like that.
Starting point is 00:22:14 I think that's what a lot of coaches in these gyms and stuff look into, you know, they want guys like that who can create, bro. And they come, you know, far few in between. But when you get you some, they put up numbers like this. Yeah, they're doing it right now. And that's almost, that's almost unfair damn near to use that comparison. Because, you know, JT is just coming back. What, JT had been back, what, three weeks?
Starting point is 00:22:40 I'm not for sure. Yeah, I mean, he's probably been back two weeks and three weeks, top. I think the thing is, I mean, is that when you look at, in the postseason, Jamar Murray's been since saying in the post season. We don't see, I mean, he probably increases his point total seven, eight, nine points a game
Starting point is 00:23:02 in the post season compared to what it is in the regular season. I agree. Now, there's not a player, neither one of those two players, J.B or JT, is comparable. But when you combine the two, because if you say,
Starting point is 00:23:18 whoever you say is the second best player of the JVJT, I think you're in agreement that that guy is better than Jamar Murray. So when you look at Yokit, I mean, offensively,
Starting point is 00:23:34 nobody can touch him because they can't outscore him, they can't out rebounding, they don't shoot a high percentage than he does, and they can't run an offense like he can. So he's, whatever, whatever Murray might be lacking,
Starting point is 00:23:51 absolutely. Yeah. But that's, look, because we've seen, we've seen Jamal Murray just take the game over. We saw him, uh, that game against when the Clippers, when they came back on the clippers from three, one in the bubble. And he just went, he went crazy in game seven. He went crazy. I think he ended up dropping a party.
Starting point is 00:24:15 And then we watched him, we watched him against the Lakers and we watched him against the heat. Yokic is Yolkich. Yolk it is yoke it. You're just like, do we let him score 50 and don't get anybody else involved? But the next day, you know, he has 50 and he has 12 assists and he still got involved.
Starting point is 00:24:31 Do we try to neutralize him and give him 20? But then he gets 20, 20 and 20. So you got to think. With them 20 assists he getting, imagine how many guys he's making the game easy for like Tim Hardaway on coup probably for the past few weeks, been averaging about 20 a game coming off the bench.
Starting point is 00:24:49 Yeah, Cameron Johnson. Like those guys. Aaron Gordon in the corner. Because he know, the one thing Yokish know is when postseason get here, I'm going to need these guys. I'm going to need at least one of these guys to step up on many different occasions for us to be able to continue to advance. And I think, you know, if you don't, obviously, you know,
Starting point is 00:25:11 if you don't double Yokers, you know what you're going to get. You can get this 40, 45, 50 pieces if that's how you want it. You know, you want it crispy? You want an extra crispy? I can get to you how you're going. You know how he gets eating now. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:23 Oh, he'd definitely give you a 50 piece of nuggets with extra sauces. No napkins, make a mess of you. No, he's special. I mean, I've not, look, and I've seen a lot of great, but I don't know if I've seen somebody that can do what he does. I mean, because, I mean, you look at it like, damn, well, he's tired. And next day you know, you look, and he does it so silently. You look up at like, I'm Luke Wilson.
Starting point is 00:25:46 Join me each week for Film Never Lies. Since retiring from the NFL, I've had a lot of my mind, and now got my own show. Starting point is 00:26:18 and expensive friction. And how did a 2023 event called Wagageddon change the paddock forever? That day is just seared into my memory. I'm culture writer and F1 expert Lily Herman, and these are just a few
Starting point is 00:26:34 of the questions I'm tackling on no grip, a Formula One culture podcast that dives into the under-explored pockets of the sport. In each episode, a different guests and I will go deeper into the wacky mishaps, scandals, and sagas, both on the track and far away from it, that have made F1 a delightful, decadent dumpster fire for more than 75 years.
Starting point is 00:26:53 Listen to no grip on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. If you're trying to keep up with everything happening on and off the court, we've got you covered on the podcast, flagrant and funny. You look at the top four number one seeds. What do you think UCLA is going to do? Break down that for me, my friend. Obviously, Yukon is the overwhelming favorite in this tournament. But I'll be honest, I think people are kind of.
Starting point is 00:27:19 I'm kind of sleeping on Texas. Experts are suggesting that UCLA is the number one challenger to Yukon and that right after that would be Texas. S&C is so deep and so thick and just about everything, it really is annoying. So it's UCLA, Texas, South Carolina, LSU, only ones that could possibly upset Yukon. On Flagrant and Funny, we're giving our unfiltered takes on the biggest moments, the conversations everyone's having. So whether your bracket is busted or you just want the latest on the tournament, we got you.

Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports. I'm John Green. You may know me as the author of The Fault and Our Stars, and now I guess also is the co-host of the away end, a brand new world soccer podcast. I'm Daniel Alarcon, a writer and journalist, and John and I have known each other since we were kids. My first World Cup was Mexico 86. I was nine years old. I watched every game. and I fell in love. On our new podcast, The Away End, we'll share with you the magic
Starting point is 00:28:23 of international football, all leading up to the 2026 World Cup. For us, soccer, football, is a story we've shared for over 30 years since Daniel was the star player on our high school soccer team. Very debatable.
Starting point is 00:28:36 And I was their most loyal and sometimes only fan. I love this game. I love its history, its hope, it's heartbreak, and above all, it's beauty. Together, we'll find out why, of all the unimportant things, football, soccer, is the most important.
Starting point is 00:28:52 Listen to the away end with Daniel Auer Kohn and John Green on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up? I'm Miles Turner. And I'm Brianna Stewart. And our podcast, Game Recognized Game, has never been done before. Two active players giving you a real look at our lives and what we actually think, on and off the court. Nothing's off limits. We talk trade requests. What's the vibe of that when it's like, you're. star players like, well, I want to leave.
Starting point is 00:29:23 And then actually now I'm going to stay. We talk tanking. I mean, honestly, like, I might get in trouble for this answer, but I think it's, like, definitely happening in the WBA. And yeah, we talk about our mistakes, too. They pulled me to the side and was like, hey, man, we got a call last night, man. You can't be rolling around the city like this tonight before games,
Starting point is 00:29:42 no, you know, doing this, doing whatever. And of course, family stories. They'll be like, Mommy, why did you miss that? Mindy, do you play basketball? Check out Game Recognized game with Stulian Miles on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. And the half, he's already got a triple double.
Starting point is 00:30:07 Or by the end of the third quarter, he's got a triple double. You're like, well, damn. Hey, he's special, bro. Because it's not just the points, the rebounds, the assist. It's the IQ for all of that. Like, the way he plays the game, he makes it look effortless. which is why, you know, we love watching them play. You know, he don't be out there forcing nothing, man.
Starting point is 00:30:29 He take what the defense is given. He just make the most of it. And that's why scouting is not an exact science. Because he should have been the first pair of drafting in his draft. They knew he looked like this. They were talking about Taco Bell. They talked about casadeo or whatever that thing is. When he got drafted and I look at it.
Starting point is 00:30:53 When it's all saying done, He gets another championship, possibly another MVP. How do you keep him out of the top team with his numbers? He's going to have. And what your eye test? Because people tell me the eye test. It's going to be hard to. It's going to be hard to.
Starting point is 00:31:09 It's going to be hard to. He's, man, he's ridiculous. He's ridiculous. Tiger Woods was arrested on suspicion of DUI after he was involved in a car crash, not far from his home in Jupiter, Island, Florida. The sheriff said Tiger was driving a range rover, northbound on the South Beach Road at a high speed when he attempted
Starting point is 00:31:32 to pass a truck hauling a pressure cleaner, which had slowed to turn into a driveway. Targars SUV swerved to avoid the truck but clipped the back trailer. The range rover flipped on its side and slid down the road. Tiger climbed out of the passenger
Starting point is 00:31:48 window side to get out. Tiger and the other driver weren't injured. Tiger was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to a off the test. He arrived at jail at 3 p.m. It was released on bail later Friday.
Starting point is 00:32:03 Florida law requires that he spent at least eight hours in jail before he could post bail. Now, it's reported that under breath elizer, he blew zero zero zero zero. Yeah, he passed. They wanted him to take a urinalysis test. He refused that. Now, Florida has some kind of kind of law that, you know, Because alcohol can be in your system for a day, two days, doesn't really tell you anything.
Starting point is 00:32:32 So if you refuse, you're guilty. No, they think it's something else. They don't think it was something else. They said driving one of the influence, probably should have the DWI, which is driving while and air. But they think he has something in this. Hey, Uncle, Joe, this is the second time,
Starting point is 00:32:52 Tiger been in an accident with the car. Yeah. Yes. He rolled over in LA, if I'm not mistaken. Yes. Yes. He had a DUI in 2017. You remember back in, let's not try to go back too far, but there was a situation where he and his wife,
Starting point is 00:33:09 you know, she took the golf club and he ran into something. He was taking, I think he had ambient in his system in that situation. It's just that, Tiger just needs to be careful. Not even be careful. I mean, someone like Tiger Woods, who has the meet. You got enough money, get you a drive. I think he was probably in a rush or something. That's what it said.
Starting point is 00:33:27 That's what it sounds like he was in a rush. Hey, he was dressing his golf stuff. He would probably head to the course, the T-O. Or maybe coming back from the court. But think about this, because I've been seeing him playing in that golf league that, I don't know if y'all have been seen it. Yeah. But he probably got to take pain, medicine, all kind of stuff
Starting point is 00:33:45 just to even get out there and play considering all the injuries. Yeah, but you can't drive when you take the day. What did they tell you are all-pay medication. Please do not drive or operate. And how many people y'all think I have driving heavy machinery under the influence? Well, I don't know about operating heavy machinery, but they damn show driving. They damn show driving. I don't know about operating pork lifts and all that other stuff, but that damn show driving.
Starting point is 00:34:10 Yeah. I just, man, I just. He got to get the driver. That's the only answer. That's the, that's only, he got to, I mean, boy, he just, he's, I mean, everybody ain't with that drive or stuff, though, man. You know, you got, you got, you got some people out here that's very private and don't want to, you know what I mean? they don't mind scooting around on their own.
Starting point is 00:34:29 Right. But I think the thing is, he's just got to be careful. If you know, I mean, he's in pain. I mean, Tiger body is wrecked. I mean, all the back surgeries, the knee surgeries, the ankle surgeries, the back surgeries, his body's wreck. I mean, Tiger, what, 50, close to 50, if he's not 50, and his body probably is bad if not.
Starting point is 00:34:50 You know he's taking something, man. I just know, I just know I wouldn't. I don't do it. I just bite it. You know, I just deal with it. I don't take my knee bother me. You know, I don't do no power. Don't do Tylenol.
Starting point is 00:35:03 Don't do no Advil. But if I just hope, I just hope. I mean, did they take blood? Did they take a blood sample for me? If he wouldn't give him no pee, you know, he can give him no blood. No. No. So, I mean, I don't know how you can tell if he had something in the system.
Starting point is 00:35:22 He said he looked. I mean, and that's the thing. I mean, without a breath of, I mean, he passed a breathalyzer. And you didn't take a urinalysis or you didn't take a blood sample. I don't know how you determined that he was under the end. I think the interaction that the cops had with him is what led them to think that, you know, they could tell that someone wasn't right with him. And you know, you know, they got camcorders.
Starting point is 00:35:45 And they got cameras everywhere, Joe. And I'm sure the footage broke. Man, you know, you know, it's been hit, it's been hit the internet at the minute. You already know it. I'm surprised. I mean, I'm, hell, I'm surprised. Hell, I'm surprised they didn't take him home. You would think if someone like a public figure like that?
Starting point is 00:36:03 On Jupiter, on Jupiter Island? Yeah, you would think they would take him home. They took that man to the big house. That's crazy. He took him home, all right, huh, Joe? Huh? They took him home, all right. Yeah, they took him home, right.
Starting point is 00:36:17 Yeah, that's crazy, man. Hey, hey, Tiger Lucky, boy, it's Friday. A little later, he'd have been in there for the week. Sometimes we are. All the way to Monday. man what you're talking about sometimes we have to get reminded who we are I just I just I just I just hate this for I just hate this for Tiger I hate that you know
Starting point is 00:36:44 again like I said you know I mean the one in the one in California was was worse he wrote I mean he really really could have killed him I mean he could have injured himself and injured somebody here too and but I think the thing is like when you're doing things you don't really all the people that I promise you all the people that that have been drinking or been impaired and got behind the wheel, they never thought, you never think something can happen to you.
Starting point is 00:37:11 But I'm, man, I'm fine. Ain't nothing going to happen. And then it happens. Because you never think it'll happen to you. And then it happens. I agree with you. I think,
Starting point is 00:37:28 you know, I seen a report because they said the road was narrow. The road was narrow. And it could have been worse. because he went on the other lane, which was oncoming traffic, but it just wasn't no, wasn't no traffic coming.
Starting point is 00:37:42 So imagine, what if he, what if, that's what I'm trying to say. You know what I mean? This could be a different story. And I, look,
Starting point is 00:37:52 we've all been in a situation. We've all been in a hurry. We've all passed on the median and all way, you know, we go on the side of the road. We've all done things. We, we've all,
Starting point is 00:38:01 I'm not been to sit there and say, I've driven at a high rate of speed and, And, hey, don't think anything would happen. But, you know, it's like, when you sit back and think about like, bro, a flat tie at 120, 130 miles an hour, it's over. Yeah. That ain't know.
Starting point is 00:38:21 Them doors are not welded. Those are not like NASCAR. They're not a Formula One car that's built to dissipate to disperse the energy. That's a regular car. That door coming open. And I don't care what you got on. You get enough out of that car. Hello.
Starting point is 00:38:38 Hey, Uncle Joe, I can tell the story. That's you. I ain't playing no mojo. What happened, bro? A rookie year. I'd never forget. I was going somewhere. I was following Darnay Scott and Peter Warwick and some of the older players.
Starting point is 00:38:51 I was a rookie at the time. And they were speeding on the freeway. I cannot actually remember where we were going. But I remember me being a rookie. I had one of my first vehicles. Remember the Lexus I-S-300, the small one? Yeah. Not the big body, they were a small one.
Starting point is 00:39:06 Yeah, yeah, I mean. Speed on the highway. I'm trying to keep up, Joe. Yeah. To this day, when I drive, Joe, I don't drive over 60 miles an hour. Yeah. No matter what I'm in, you know. So rookie year, I get pulled over.
Starting point is 00:39:22 I'm doing, I get clocked at 120. Mm. So as a rookie, don't have no clue who I am. So what do you think he took me up? Did I, yo, you're going over 100 miles and out? You're going to jail. Straight to jail. Guess who had to bail me out?
Starting point is 00:39:38 Who? Who? Who? Who? Yeah, who's Ms.ada had to bail me out? I'm not sure. A, chat. See if y'all can find that in 2001 where I went to jail.
Starting point is 00:39:48 And because I was a rookie, obviously, it didn't make the news like that because I would tell nobody who the hell I was. Yeah. I ain't had a ticket since then. I got a good record. I ain't had a ticket. And now they, most days have enacted that super speech.
Starting point is 00:40:05 So if you're going 30 miles an hour over the speed limit, you're going over 100 miles an hour. It's like double triple the five. I was wrecking driving or wrecked. Yeah, absolutely. Like that. In some states, in some countries, they based a speeding ticket on how much you make. So you might have to pay 50,000, 75,000, $100,000 for the income. Yes.
Starting point is 00:40:27 I ain't never heard of that. I think it's Sweden. What country is that that they based the speed ticket on your income? But that happened to me, I, hey, that happened to be, I was going 100, I was going 108 and the 55. Damn, huh? Me, they're getting jail, uh? Yep.
Starting point is 00:40:49 Hey, hey, I got two tickets, don't you? Uh, he said, he said my butt comes, hey, I went by this one guy and the guy, uh, hey, he was, he was parked side of the road. He was on the other side. I went by it and he looked. I said, yeah, you can't do nothing because, you know, the media, and had that wide-per medium. I said, you can't do that.
Starting point is 00:41:09 You can't do it. I got her to some of a boo. There's a white Mercedes coming away. It looks like a newer model probably traveling at about 100 plus miles an hour. And they were waiting on you. Two miles down the road. Mm.
Starting point is 00:41:29 He ready for you. Hey, when I saw the light flashing, the whole end comes up. The whole end come up, Joe. Damn. He told me to get, hey, my homeboy, we're coming back from Daytona. He told me to get, he said, hey, you have to come with me. And I wonder if I could find that.
Starting point is 00:41:50 Hey, hey, hey, hey, can Ash hear me? Yeah. Ask if she could find it from 2001 when I went to jail in Cincinnati. What's this, what's the country? Finland, they based the speeding ticket on how much income is. There was some guy, what was the guy? Some guy had to pay like, I, I think it was like three, four hundred thousand dollars.
Starting point is 00:42:11 Yeah, Lee. Yeah. But, uh, but he took me down. Um, I got and had to get in the car. He didn't cuff me anything. He put me in the backseat. My home boy didn't follow me to it. I was in camp, it was in Camden County.
Starting point is 00:42:27 Uh, he said, uh, is this gonna, I think it was like, I think I had to put it's like, $11.00. His brother or white dude. Hey, you know, like, hey, he's like, uh, this nice car for somebody. Oh, 20, 21. one year or no. Like, it's nice car.
Starting point is 00:42:47 I said, what you do? I'm in college. Like, oh. I see my parents, you know, my parents, you know, they broke me off. You know, I didn't try to give us so much information. Man, they get put that information.
Starting point is 00:42:59 Hey, it's like, it's going to be like $11,100. I go in my pocket, start cutting up the more. Hmm. Hey, you try to piss him off, huh? I mean, what you want me to do on you? I had it all me. I had a, I had a, I had a, I had a dog over. better thing a choke of horse you know
Starting point is 00:43:17 when they slap that thing down there on him got the cars at homeboy go ahead and drive I can't get another two because I got I got a ticket for going 92 and 55 and then I got one for a hundred and eight so you ain't learned your lesson it took me one time also oh Joe I think it was so he said that the other guy that saw
Starting point is 00:43:38 that you saw over there he said he clocked you at 92 I got you at going at 108 okay okay okay okay okay Hey, hey, they got me here in Atlanta, boy, this is about 2010. Me- Going to a driving, Joe, that's an important ball. Hold on, hold on, that one thing to tell you, listen to the story. It's me, is me, Jeff Teague, Josh Smith. We had all just got them Dodge Challenges. They had just came out.
Starting point is 00:44:00 Okay, Ocho. But I- Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. I had the modified mine a little bit. I had that big wide-body kid on the back of that thing. That thing was sitting bow-legged. She was sitting bow-legged. Yeah, yeah. That big lip on there.
Starting point is 00:44:12 Well, we had just got off the road. We just got back to Atlanta. It's about 2.30 in the morning. So, you know, it ain't really a lot of traffic out there. Ain't no traffic got out of the time. The police then got behind me out of everybody. We shot back and he jumped out there so quick. It's three of us.
Starting point is 00:44:29 We, foo. Man, got behind me, pulled me over to tell my, yeah, I got you going 104. But it was a brother, unc. And once I gave him, once he ran my information, he came back, he said, Mr. Johnson slowed his thing down. Now, I said, yes, sir. I drove home 60 mile power speed, let me send me here.
Starting point is 00:44:50 Hey. Oh, man. Hey, but you're young, I mean, look, bro, you think when you're young, you think you're invincible. Yeah. Man. You don't think nothing to happen.
Starting point is 00:45:00 Death, death doesn't even enter your mind. Man, I had that Ferrari. I had that 512. Man, I was running so fast on your little like the road. Look like the lines, like the check line was one line. Yeah, yeah. Look here. If I hit a mosquito, it's over.
Starting point is 00:45:21 If a mosquito hit a windshield, it's over. Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. I said, man, look here, man, let me stop. I had to test it, but I learned my lesson because my brother told me when I, because I told him, because at the time, the insurance was in his name. And so I didn't want him to, like, when they called and say his insurance was going up, and he's like, why by insurance going up, blah, blah, blah, blah. So I called and told him.
Starting point is 00:45:45 And, you know, he didn't yell. He didn't yell. He didn't scream. He didn't say nothing. He just said, Shannon, I need you to think about what that it did to grant if you'd hurt some, if you'd hurt yourself or somebody. We ain't thinking like. Especially you. You know how great.
Starting point is 00:45:59 You know what granny thinks are you. You might as well, if you hurt you, if you to kill yourself, you might as well go ahead and take it with you. I said, you're right, bro. You're right. But if Farah did have a chance at one time, I mean, what good to have a variety? That's what I'm talking about. I see that I had that thing made it run out of numbers. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:46:23 I had to start counting on my fingers. 151, 503, 504, 55. You know what I said? Joe had to run out of numbers. I know. I know that one of them put that thing and test over there. What he got? Oh, yeah, yeah, man.
Starting point is 00:46:37 But look, I'm not being excused, but Tiger is going to have to make better decisions. He's going to have to, he's going to have to understand that I, like, to play golf, and I understand that he's in a lot of pain, The surgeries that he's had is taking his body is walking down. He doesn't have a, I mean, there are obviously as you start to age, your body breaks down. But Tiger body, he doesn't have the body of a 50-year-old.
Starting point is 00:46:58 He probably has the body of a 60, 70, 60, 70-year-old with all the surgeries, excuse me, the back surgeries. I mean, his stuff is fused together. He probably got chicken wire and, and tape holding his back together. And he's had knee surgery. He's had the Achilles surgery. So he's just got to understand that he has to, he's just going to have to just make better decisions.
Starting point is 00:47:22 You can't, you can't keep, you can't keep tempting fate, Tiger. You're better than this. Facts. Facts. No, it didn't, it ain't registered. Oh, Joe. Miles Garrett could be finally leaving the AFC North
Starting point is 00:47:38 in a blockbuster trade. The Browns made a rare contract modification to modify the language in Garrett's deal. Instead of having a $29 million roster bonus kick in on March 25th, The Browns and Garrett quietly agreed to language that would hold that roster bonus off until the week before the start of the 2026 season.
Starting point is 00:47:58 And only reason Garrett would be okay with that not earning that massive lump sum of money immediately if he could be traded to a contending team this off season. Joe? Man, they. We have a Miles Garrett sound from the 2017 draft that you might like. Let's take a list of what Miles had to say back then. make it happen that Prescott is leading our team right now.
Starting point is 00:48:24 I need you to take Toy Romo, take a couple of picks, and give them to Cleveland so you can pick me up. Please, I love to play in Dallas to this make it happen. Oh, man. Oh, man, I remember that, man. Man, what we have to do to get my eyes on, Uncle Ocho, says? Hey, Joe, the funny thing about it, before Uncle even played that clip,
Starting point is 00:48:47 the first thing I was going to say was, I think Miles Garrett, the perfect place for him to be to make their exponentially better right away would be Miles going to that goddamn stock. It would make the most simple. If it's not Dallas, goddamn, I know Jeffrey Lurie and Howard Roseman are biting at the bit.
Starting point is 00:49:05 Can you imagine having him up? Oh, my God. You know y'all going to have to give up George Pickens, right? For us to get him? You're going to probably want two picks and pickings. All right. I'm a hard let me George,
Starting point is 00:49:19 Joe, I'll do it. Joe said, I'll do it. I see the chemistry that peeking lamb guy. I just, I think they were just
Starting point is 00:49:28 old vacation or something. I like that. You know what I mean? But boy, listen, you got to take that. Man, if you,
Starting point is 00:49:37 if you dial it, you got a chance to get miles again? Come on, bro. Oh, you remember I said earlier,
Starting point is 00:49:45 I said this off season. I said, if I'm Philly, I'll trade them Jalen Carter and two picks for it. Everybody said I was crazy. Everybody said I was crazy. Now, they were talking about at the free agency that teams were inquiring about Jailen Carter because they had did the deal for Jeff Davis. Everybody said, I was crazy. Oh, you crazy.
Starting point is 00:50:06 You don't know what you're talking about. I said, okay. Hey. We'll say. Hey, hey. And to kind of backtrack, man, it'll get you to do another weapon. on that outside you're going to lose all
Starting point is 00:50:20 them games with Miles you might as well get rid of that's what I said as great as Miles is and he is great he can't influence the game of the winning enough because he needs to be on the other side
Starting point is 00:50:35 of the ball and he needs to ball in his hand he's phenomenal think about it with 23 sacks he was unanimous defensive player of the year about five games Well, that was, hey, I need to hit Jerry. And that's the only two teams that I can think of that would pull the trigger.
Starting point is 00:50:55 Oh, oh, the Chicago pulled the trigger. The Bears will pull the trigger. Jerry's going to pull the trigger. What are you talking about? I remain to be seen. Remain to be seen. The Eagles are definitely pulled the trigger. I say Jerry and the Eagles.
Starting point is 00:51:11 Jerry loves making a splash, right? Jerry loves being the headlines. This would be right up Jerry's alley. to steal the headlines once again. And he wouldn't want him to go to the Eagles because they're in the same thing. He don't want that man in our division. He don't want to deal with that.
Starting point is 00:51:25 Now that he ain't with us. What is he willing to give up? Because here's the thing. The Eagles say, I'll give you two ones and AJ Brown. You see what I'm going with this, Ocho and Joe? You see what I'm going? They need an offensive weapon. They need draft capital.
Starting point is 00:51:43 Jerry, are you willing to give up two ones? ones and pickings. That's a good one. If that's a going, if that's a going price, going once, going twice. Yeah. So we're going to have miles. I want him to go somewhere we can win.
Starting point is 00:52:05 I'm tired to say how you look. I mean, just think about it. Now, I want you to think about this. This man had 23 sacks. They won five games. Imagine how many sacks he could get if they played with the league. They had five sacks He had five sacks against the Patriots
Starting point is 00:52:21 And they lost by what they lose by 14 So just imagine they play with a lead And he can get out of him He ain't even got a word about the run That boy gonna be mean, man Man that's crazy And I know he had 23 sex What was 23 and a half or 23?
Starting point is 00:52:41 What did he have the year before? Like 16? He's gonna, he's going to, he's He's going to try to bounce back. He's going to try to bounce back on that, on that 20-twin-twin. I hope it's in a dablish. Only one guy has ever had had two 20-plus sack seasons. That's JJ Watt.
Starting point is 00:53:03 Nobody else has ever had it. Yeah, he had 14 and 23, 14 and 24 and 23 and 25. How old is it? He might be 29. Oh, yeah. He still got a lot of good football. Just turned 30. when they start
Starting point is 00:53:24 he turned 30 when they start thinking something wrong with you in football when you're that damn productive and that damn good no time soon Joe yeah he got I think he still he can be at the top of his game for another five years and still
Starting point is 00:53:42 get somewhere between 12 and 16 sacks right situation have the slide of protection he got somebody else to worry about he can get he can get He can approach another 20-sack season. But he's at his absolute apex right now.
Starting point is 00:54:03 I mean, for him and for that size to be able to move like he does, I mean, he got wiggle to it. Ain't him. I mean, he's moving like, I mean, you see if he, he hot jab, step in and then one step. I mean, he beating premier tackles like it's nothing. Yeah, it don't matter. Yeah, you're going to have to give up two first for him, boy.
Starting point is 00:54:24 And a player. Look at what, look at what, look at what Green Bay gave up for Micah. And you think you're not going to give that up for miles, Gary? I'm with you. The guy got 125, 130-something sacks. He's 70 sacks from breaking the record at 30. It's going to happen. It's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:54:48 I won't speak it into existence. Once they change their language, once they change their language, it's only a matter of time. It's just. Because I want to change the language. language, Ocho, because I don't want that dead money on mine, because if I already give him the bonus, now that's on my cap.
Starting point is 00:55:03 Let somebody else put that on their cap. It's going to happen. It's just and he's like, hey, I'll be willing to do this because guess what, Ocho, y'all, y'all holding $29 million from it. That's for, I'm supposed to get that grade. I'm going to get it. I'm going to get it.
Starting point is 00:55:18 But I'd be willing to do that, but you've got to be willing to trade me to a contender. The Jets got Buku compensation. Because remember, Ocho, They got two first round of for sauce. And they got first round of for 20. Oh, yeah. So think about it.
Starting point is 00:55:33 They got like, they got two this year, two next year, and two probably maybe two after that. They got like five first round picks. So, but the Jets are not winning. So he's like,
Starting point is 00:55:45 no, I'm good. Yeah. And I'm sure, hey, and when you're making 40 million and you know, Uncle Sam don't get that,
Starting point is 00:55:55 that 10, but I think Ohio is no state tax. So he's good. He's like, paying no state tax in Ohio no state tax they got state tax I thought Ohio was no state Texas Tennessee Laplace Vegas that's it damn hey very would you say I mean this is right up Jerry Alley right here now make make a big say you're gonna spend some money say you're gonna make a big splash
Starting point is 00:56:30 this summer now that that would be the splash to me. Tom Brady, who last played in 2022, has since become a minority owner with the Las Vegas Raiders, revealed that he explored the possibility of unretire a second time, but was rebuffed by the league when he
Starting point is 00:56:47 broached the subject. I actually have inquired. They don't like that idea very much, so I'm going to leave it at that. We explored a lot of different things, and I'm very happily retired. Let me just say that. I like that, Mark. I like it a lot. I think
Starting point is 00:57:03 Obviously, being a minority owner kind of ruins the possibility of actually coming back. But I'm more concerned with if you do come back, who would have been the team that would have come back to play for? Because the bucks, they're solidified with Baker, who I think he's going to get a big deal of this offseat. And I think at some point, obviously the Patriots quarterback situation is solidified as well. So if he was to make a return, we're actually with Brady would have been playing. He want to go somewhere where they got weapons. Y'all know that man ain't great because he ain't trying to go nowhere where he, you know, he want to go somewhere where they already got some good receivers,
Starting point is 00:57:41 maybe even a good back, you know, some weapons he can use his advantage. And y'all know what that said. My question is, well, what type of offensive line he's going to have? Brady ain't going to be able to take him. Atlanta? Atlanta. You saw him his last year. Atlanta?
Starting point is 00:57:58 Yeah. Well, why not? I just want to know where he go. Who's the offensive line? because you saw how easy he was going down his final year in Tampa. He doesn't want to get hit. As you get older, you're less, you're going to get hit less and less. I think he's three, four years removed from taking a final hit.
Starting point is 00:58:21 He just still got the edge, Uncle Ocho. He's a lot of play, man. You can tell. Well, he better go up against a wall and scratch his back like we do in the country. You know, he's got to winch of you. You go against the wall. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:58:34 Hey, I get flag football. and they're talking about, oh, look at Brady and Dodge, just rough. Just right. Okay. Man, that's, child, please. Hey, man, Brady's say he take good care of himself, man. Y'all, y'all saying he can't, yeah, he does. But he ain't, he ain't had a, a 280-pound man fall on him in four years.
Starting point is 00:58:53 He can't follow him no more. You got to brace yourself now. Oh, yeah, you show, can't, you show can't put your weight on the quarterback, huh? Hey, but the 15-yard penalty, he, he, probably he can't take that. He can't take money. It's legit. Bro.
Starting point is 00:59:13 And Brady was not mobile. So you got to go somewhere that has an outstanding offensive line. Actually, the best offensive line in football last year were the Broncos. They got both Knicks. What a good thing. It sounds good.
Starting point is 00:59:32 I think Brady got us talking like, oh, Brady could come back. Y'all need to stop this. Hey, listen, if the NFL had allowed it, even though he's a minority owner. How did, let me ask you a question. How did they stop you from unretiring? What did they say?
Starting point is 00:59:45 Tell me what they can do to start. If some team want to sign him, tell me what they can say to make you to say no. They might have discouraged it, but how do they stop him from unretireing? Him not having his sponsorships and all that. Yeah. What sponsorship?
Starting point is 01:00:05 Yeah, he's going to have to put that 37 million that he's making per year for Fox. But guess what? Fox will hold that job for him until he comes back because he's Tom Brady. Now, again, I'm going to ask Ocho, Ocho. Tell me what the NFL can do to say, you know what? They, like I said, they might can discourage you.
Starting point is 01:00:25 But if a team sign you, how do they say no? Obviously, Uncle, if you're a minority order for a team, I don't think. You'd have to divest that. We understand that. You'd have to divest your interests. You can't be a minority owner and be a player. That would be the only way they can discourage it. Is he going to want to divest that?
Starting point is 01:00:41 Probably not. Probably. If he was serious about coming back, hell, forget that goddamn ownership. I'm going to make it both. But that's the thing. Because if he was serious about coming back, he did that first. You'd have heard Brady divested shares with the Raiders. That would have signaled to us what?
Starting point is 01:01:05 Just like when Miles Garrett quietly reworked the language in his contract, what did that signal, Ocho? There's a possibility that Miles Garrett might get traded. I don't think he would, I don't think he would. you know, get out his deal with the Raiders, though, give up his percentage until he knew for sure. It was a chance for possibility. But what, but, oh Joe, right, the right. You make $37 million a year.
Starting point is 01:01:31 Think about this. You make $37 million a year. You work 20 weeks a year. You got a, you bought 5% of the Las Vegas Raiders. That's going to pay you whatever, whatever the 5% was, whatever you put up, you're going to get, you're going to make your 5% back in five years. To come back and play what, one more year? Maybe that's maybe that's what he won't.
Starting point is 01:01:52 I mean, you, I mean, it makes sense to you. But in his position where with money at this point, I mean, we talk about Tom Brady. You know why I know it didn't make sense to him? Because he didn't do it. He didn't do it. Because if he wanted to do, when is something that would stop Tom Brady from doing what he wanted to do? For the longest time, and we're not going to bring it. But for the longest time, his ex-wife wanted him to do what, Ocho?
Starting point is 01:02:19 home. Retired. And he kept doing what? And there's probably a pretty good chance that might have cost him his marriage. So if Tom Brady wanted to actually do something, Tom Brady don't talk about it. Tom Brady does it.
Starting point is 01:02:37 So you're right. I mean, you're making that kind of money, but okay. And like I said, Fox would have hold that job. They put Olson, who does a great job. They put it back in the number one spot until Tom Brady came back, came back and then they put Tom right back
Starting point is 01:02:52 in the number one spot and also would have been to the number two spot. But the likelihood of him being able to get in the Raiders at the price that he got in, say what, two years ago probably wouldn't have been there. So. I know one thing where that smoked this fire. If the conversation is being had, he must have been serious about it. Nah, because if he was serious about it, he did divested his shares. He didn't divest them shares.
Starting point is 01:03:21 See, the Browns, see the Browns, Browns are potentially serious about doing what? Moving Miles Garrett-R-D-O-cho. Because they did put this because they didn't want that dead money on their cap. What good is that, Ocho, if we trade it, but we got $29 million a dead cap space? Let the cowboys
Starting point is 01:03:38 or let the Eagles or let the bears or whoever trade for them, let them deal with that cap hit. Not us. And I think the Browns are coming to the realization like, as great as Miles is, I don't know if we can win with just him. We need a lot more pieces than Miles Garrett. We need like four Miles Garrett,
Starting point is 01:03:59 but we need another one on defense and we need three more on offense. I'm not saying Miles Garrett per se, but I'm saying a Miles Garrett type player. So it doesn't matter, Ocho. It doesn't matter how great you are. The NFL's not stopped. It doesn't matter how great you are in basketball.
Starting point is 01:04:23 The NFL, guess what? They didn't stop when George Ritchell. They didn't stop with Kobe retired. They're not going to stop when LeBron retired. They're going to keep making money. And I don't care how great the player is. Do sports league? Yes.
Starting point is 01:04:40 Babe Ruth retired, Hank Aaron retired, Barry, Bonds retired. Every great player you know has a shelf life. And guess what? They keep booking. They keep booking. It is what it is. It's the harsh reality of it. how great you are.
