Starting point is 00:05:02 And it's on the rise in people under the age of 50. But when caught at early stages, colon cancer is survivable in 90% of the people. So screening and early detection are key to reducing overall colon cancer deaths. And a great one-of-a-kind way to feel more in control of your colon cancer screening is through the ColiGuard test, a prescription-based test with none of the prep
Starting point is 00:05:22 that's required for a colonoscopy. The ColiGuard test is the only FDA-approved, non-invasive option that looks for both altered DNA and blood in your stool, which can indicate the presence of abnormal cells. This test offers convenience and ease of use, and the kit is delivered right to your door. Once you complete the kit, it is returned to the lab and results are available within two weeks. Plus, it's affordable, most insured patients pay zero dollars. And if you do need a colonoscopy, as a follow-up, most insurance plans cover that as well. So if you're 45 or older and at average risk, ask your healthcare provider about screening
Starting point is 00:06:00 for colon cancer with the ColiGuard test. You can request a ColiGuard prescription today at coliguard.com slash podcast. The ColiGuard test is intended to screen adults 45 and older at average risk for colorectal cancer. Do not use the ColiGuard test if you've had adenomas, have inflammatory biodeisease or certain hereditary syndromes or personal or family history of colorectal cancer. The ColiGuard test is not a replacement for colonoscopy in high-risk patients. Coligard test performs in adults age 45 to 49,
Starting point is 00:06:31 it's estimated, and based on a large clinical study of patients 50 and older. False positives and false negatives can occur. Coligard is available by prescription only. The Lakers stopped the bleeding today after a four game skid in which they saw them go from the two seed all the way to the five seed. They got 33 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists from Luca. They got 28 points from Austin Reeves. Jackson Hayes matched the season high with 19.
Starting point is 00:07:13 And they win 107 to 96. Kevin Rand had 21 points. Devin Booker had 19 for the 11th place Suns. The Lakers failed three spots during the West. They lost four games They were on the road or Joe and currently a stretch of a brutal with seven games in ten days including Five at home in seven days a lot of this had to do with you remember when they had to fire the wildfires in LA they had to make a game They got to make up a game in which San Antonio was supposed to play that game got postponed so now it got sandwiched in here and so now they got to play. LeBron missed his fourth straight game, but Coach Reddick said, LeBron is ramping up towards
Starting point is 00:07:55 a return. Probably they won't be back until the end of the week, but couldn't come at a better time because they needed to stop the hemorrhaging today Yeah, we were able to do that, but they're not out of the woods cuz I'm not mistaken They still got they got the nuggets up on this kid. Yeah, they got the nuggets They got San Antonio on the I bet they got San Antonio the 17th. That's tomorrow wait Oh
Starting point is 00:08:22 Okay, it's when we whenby, Wimby playing, Wimby not playing, is he? No, no, Wimby, Wimby's done, yeah. But I thought the Lakers played really good. They needed this type of game from Luca. Luca and Austin Reed, basically they led the charge. Jackson Hay did a great job of rolling to the rim. That's what Luca wants.
Starting point is 00:08:40 Luca wants a guy, a big, that's agile, that's athletic. He doesn't need to be the best shooter. Can you catch lobs? How many lobs did Luca throw him? Luca wants a guy, a big, that's agile, that's athletic. He doesn't need to be the best shooter. Can you catch lobs? How many lobs did Luca throw him? How many lobs did AR throw him? And that's what you need. That's, hey, just run to the rim, son.
Starting point is 00:08:53 Yeah. Hey, when they come to double him, which they're gonna do, they did a lot of that late in the ball game to try to get the ball out of Luca's hands, and rightly so. And Luca, great awareness, throw it up, Jack and Hayes so and Luca great awareness throw it up. Jack and Hayes brings it down dunks it home. So I would have loved man I just want LeBron to come back and not have any setbacks and see how this thing
Starting point is 00:09:16 plays out for the final you know 17 18 games of the regular season but uh I like that I like the way they played today. Got some great production. Gabe Vincent came in and gave him some quality minutes. But they did a great job. KD did not shoot the ball well from the floor. Book did not shoot the ball well from the floor. Bradley Beal did not shoot the ball well from the floor. Hell, I'm not so sure Bradley Beal even scored a point. Did Bradley Beal even, I'm serious, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:09:44 Did Bradley Beal even score a hash? Did Bradley Beal even, I'm serious, Ocho. Did Bradley Beal even score a hash? If he did, he had minimal points. He had four points, Ocho. See? Yeah, I think they really, they got themselves, he's on one of two players that have a no trade. He and LeBron. They really wanna get up, they wanna move on
Starting point is 00:10:07 from Bradley Beal, but he don't wanna go nowhere. It's a conversation. It's a conversation that needs to be had. Him asking, them asking him, is there something you wanna go where you would like to play? Someone you'd like to meet. I kinda like it here.
Starting point is 00:10:20 The weather's nice, sunshine. No, there's no place I wanna go. I don't think that's true, because he would put forward a little bit more effort, especially when it comes to playing and being contributing to them offensively. All I'm saying, they offered him an opportunity. I get, where you wanna go? I mean, you got, I mean, to go, I mean,
Starting point is 00:10:43 the team's gotta want you. Right. You don't think a team would want him? I mean you got it. I mean to go I mean the team's got to want you right You don't think you don't think a team would want him? Yeah, but not the team that he potentially wants to go to oh, I see I see what you mean. I see what you mean. Yes Go oh Joe. This is what you do it You need to be with a girl that likes you not the girl that you like Mmm, you see that likes you, not the girl that you like. You see, go to the team that wants you, not to the team that where you want to go. Because the girl that likes you
Starting point is 00:11:11 is gonna treat you accordingly. The girl that you like, listen, I ain't gonna go there. I don't, we not gonna do that today, Ocho. We not gonna get it there. You ain't gotta do it today. You ain't gotta do it. You come around to it. That's what you need to do.
Starting point is 00:11:24 Yeah. And see see that's the problem He wants to go to a team That he won't Not the team that wants him a using that analogy Where people can better understand it? I like that. I like that I'm just saying don Ocho, that's like... They say, Ocho, you need to write that down. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:53 That's one I don't have to write down. I've always lived by that. Because you know, you give me your note, you give me your new... How do you say it? If you give me your you know what the kiss, I'll write back, don't worry about it. Hey, one thing about it, the line is very long.
Starting point is 00:12:14 Yeah. You hear me? The line is very long. Oh Joe, sometimes you got it. Oh Joe, oh Joe, oh Joe, now. With those who actually will appreciate and love, well you know what, the door closed now. with those who actually will appreciate and love. Well, you know what?
Starting point is 00:12:25 The door closed now. Oh, let me ask you this. Yeah. When someone gives you their butt to kiss, what did you do to make them pull their pants down and turn around and say, kiss my butt? Did you do anything to facilitate that? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:44 Most of the time. Well, how you gonna be mad? Yeah, well, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Most of the time. Well, how you gonna be mad? Yeah, well, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,
Starting point is 00:12:52 oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, saying in general. Oh, yeah, hypothetically speaking. Yeah always we always as as individuals We always do things to get people to that point where it's like, ah, you know what? Man good. Fuck. I mean you know had to know Yeah, it's life. I'm it's like, okay. Yeah But you know, I mean it happens There you go. It happens.
Starting point is 00:13:26 Yeah. Yeah, but like you said, you always, always choose who choose you. Always. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, hey, get your little, hey, I'm a little reclamation project. Don't nobody want to fix old hunk up.
Starting point is 00:13:42 I was, I was, hey, you, I, I'm a reclamation project. I ain't a finished project. I'm a reclamation project. I mean, I need, you know, I need a new roof. Hey, listen, we all are work in progress. You just have to find someone that's willing to work with you. Everybody want to, everybody want to finish product. Ain't no such thing. Nope. There's no such thing as a finished product. Regardless of how it look. You know, it look good, look good on the outside. But it's a whole lot of work to get done on the exterior. And there ain't nothing wrong with that. You just gotta have the right person that is willing to
Starting point is 00:14:18 help you, you know, get through that process. Yeah, sometimes, yeah, it's the outside. Sometimes you go inside, you look at a man. I house you go inside like damn Yeah, baby, you did an unbelievable job Yeah, sometimes it's women like that sometimes the prettiest women on the outside of the list on the inside Mmm, and sometimes it's vice versa, right? Right? Yeah I think I can't I can't I can't quite speak on that. Everyone has been, listen, everyone that has been a part of my life in any facet, way, shape, or form has been phenomenal.
Starting point is 00:14:54 They've been phenomenal, you know? I can really say, I can really say they've been great in my growth as a man, as a father. So I like that. I haven't experienced what you just said in that sense, but that's a good one. I haven't had the experience, so I've been lucky. I still got some work to do though.
Starting point is 00:15:24 Yeah. The Mavs are at risk of forfeiting games if they fall below the minimum eight players active required for teams to play. ESPN Bobby Marks, Dallas provided an update on Anthony Davis left adductor strain. Derrick Lively the second right ankle stress fracture. Daniel Gaffer right knee sprain, stating all three are improving. However, there's no timetable on any of their returns. Jayden Hardy, right ankle sprain. Kai Jones, quad, haven't played since March 3rd.
Starting point is 00:15:54 PJ Washington, right ankle sprain. Has been out since March 1st. But now it leaves Brandon Williams, Dwight Powell, Clay Thompson, Najee Marshall Caleb Martin Max Christie Spencer Denwitty Kessler Edwards as the lone healthy players a total Nobody else can get edge. Oh Joe. No, they can't make it listen. Hey, why would they?
Starting point is 00:16:20 Why would they penalize the team because people hurt?? I don't understand. Do they think they faking or something? Just to make sure you don't. The same way you talk about why teams don't want to win games to try to tank and try to get the number one pick to get more ping pong balls. I thought you played the game to win. Well listen, we know they're not doing that. The same way teams used to put players on IR to hide them because the guys, because if you released them,
Starting point is 00:16:48 somebody might get them, so we put them on IR. Right. OK. Man, you know, anytime there's, anytime, look, people are going to find a way to skirt the system. No matter what system is in place, you know what? I got bad credit. I'm going to put the phone in my kid name, you see?
Starting point is 00:17:08 I remember them days, because I sure had a wash and dry in my name and I was on it too. Classic. Ocho, there has reportedly been quite the vibe shift for wide receiver Garrett Wilson after the New York Jets moved on from Aaron Rodgers and added Justin Fields this offseason.
Starting point is 00:17:31 Yeah. Wilson has told friends he's thrilled with the addition of Fields. ESPN's Rich Cimini wrote Sunday, it's no secret that he and Rodgers didn't see eye to eye last season, but now he has a quarterback he knows and respects. They've maintained a good relationship. Another reason Wilson said to be excited about 2025. In December, the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported, all is not well with Rodgers and Wilson,
Starting point is 00:17:59 and added that privately there have been questions regarding whether Rodgers and Wilson can find common ground since they had a blow-up during training camp which I tried to tell Ocho and Ocho said don't worry about that. Yeah I didn't think it would be anything bad because I've had those same kind of talks with John Kidd and I've had those same talks with Carson Palmer. But not every day. Oh not every day I thought I thought it was just that one clip. No you thought I'm talking every day.
Starting point is 00:18:24 Yeah most most the time I think they weren't able to get on the same page and Rogers wanted things done a certain way and Garrett Wilson was kind of kind of complaining whatever it may have been it didn't work out I like the fact that he liked that he had Justin Fields and I know one thing Goddamn feels gonna get that ball to to brother Wilson He go you gonna feed it to him and they gonna find ways to get him back where he was his rookie season. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:49 Where he's very productive. Cause after this season, hey, they got to come see, they got to come see five with that bag man. Yeah. They got to come see five with that bag. He's the top 10 receiver in the NFL right now. He didn't look like it from a productive standpoint last year because the offense was in disarray, but he gonna get back to that This is Justin Fields year, too
Starting point is 00:19:10 Justin Fields can make himself some good money. You know if you have a good season, huh? They'll redo it. Yeah, if he if he have himself a good season and they'd be like, you know what this is The quarterback of the future for us and he plays it play. I think he should play Now that you have nothing to worry about behind you, you ain't got to worry about nobody taking your spot. All you have to do is just play football freely and just focus. This is your team. This could be your team.
Starting point is 00:19:36 They can hand you the keys. Oh Joe, I just found it odd that Garrett Wilson, uh-huh was offensive rookie of the year Yeah, and look better with Zach Wilson and those guys than he did with Aaron Rodgers. Yeah. Well, I just found it odd Well, what quarterback who we look at Wilson? I think he had Joe Flacco Mike White, I think I think yeah, he had a couple of different quarterbacks And the guy was offensive rookie ofookie of the Year, Ocho. Zach Wilson, that was the guy, yeah, okay. So look, and sometimes, like you said, Rogers was used to doing things a certain way and
Starting point is 00:20:16 that way, you know, at the end of the day, we got to get a week. Look, if we're trying to do the same thing, they have to be a give and take. Right. Okay, I understand that you, but I can't do everything that you want. I need you to meet me. Can we meet in the middle? Somewhere halfway.
Starting point is 00:20:30 Can we meet in the middle? You gotta be on the same page, huh? Yeah. You gotta be. I'm not saying, look, I'm not saying I can't, I'm not saying that we can't go to brunch, but can we not, do we have to go to brunch every Sunday? Of every month, brunch every Sunday? Mm-hmm of every month of every week. Mm-hmm
Starting point is 00:20:47 Can we like just stay home and can I watch the games? Yeah, I mean there has to be a happy medium somewhere Oh Joe, I understand who you are, but understand that look and that am I as accomplished as you know, you know But you know, I'm not better cheat. I'm not fair to cheat around this one. Come on now. Yeah, you're right. You're right. You got to be on the same page. Hey, this is Mel Reed, LPGA Tour winner and six time Lady Geo European Tour winner.

Starting point is 00:22:14 It's Julie Stewart Banks. I'm doing a new podcast from iHeart Podcasts and the National Hockey League, and I'm paired up with one of my favorite players, the always quotable Nate Thompson. I wore nine NHL sweaters and I have story after story to share. And believe it or not, I have plenty to say and not just about hockey. Believe me, he does.
Starting point is 00:22:33 Energy Line with Nate and JSB is the name of the podcast and it's gonna be, well, it's gonna be quite the ride. We're officially line mates, Nate. We're the Energy Line. We'll have plenty of folks join us, current players, some of my former teammates, Hall of Famers, and wait to see some of the connections that Julie has. She has quite the Rolodex.
Starting point is 00:22:52 Okay, we'll lean into Nate's playing experience and tap into our interests away from hockey and try to do what Energy Lines are supposed to do, provide an emotional boost. How do you feel about all that, Nate? I'm vibing, Julie, I'm ready to roll. Listen to Energy Line with Nate and JSB on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts,
Starting point is 00:23:11 or wherever you get your podcasts. My name is Brendan Patrick Hughes, host of Divine Intervention. This is a story about radical nuns in combat boots and wild haired priests trading blows with J. Edgar Hoover in a hell-bent effort to sabotage a war. J. Edgar Hoover was furious. Somebody violated the FBI and he wanted to bring the Catholic left to its knees.
Starting point is 00:23:38 The FBI went around to all their neighbors and said to them, do you think these people are good Americans? It's got heists, tragedy, a trial of the century, and the God damn best love story you've ever heard. I picked up the phone and my thought was, this is the most important phone call I'll ever make in my life. I couldn't believe it.
Starting point is 00:23:57 I mean, Brendan, it was divine intervention. Listen to Divine Intervention on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up y'all? Starting point is 00:25:18 Presented by Capital One, founding partner of I Heart Women's Sports. founding partner of iHeart Women's Sports. Bill Belichick girlfriend released some photos of the two doing aerial yoga at the beach. Ocho, check these photos out. Oh, that's loud. Go ahead, come on, Belichick. That's what I'm looking for. Hey, I just want to know, who out there want me to do them like that right there? I want to do it right there, just like that, right there.
Starting point is 00:25:41 Like that. Like that. Like that. Like that. Like that. Like that. Like that. Like that. Go ahead and call Belichick. That's what I'm looking for. Hey, I just want to know, who out there want me to do them like that right there? I want to do it right there, just like that, right there. That look like some circus so late. Yeah, I like that. That's dope.
Starting point is 00:25:54 I don't know if I'm going to be able to let y'all push my hips, man. I gotta be careful now. You know what I'm saying? Don't choke me. You can't do that. Your hips bad. There ain't nothing wrong with your hips. What is this called? Air what? Aerial yoga. Oh, aerial yoga, okay.
Starting point is 00:26:09 I wonder if they got classes like that. I think I should start doing yoga and Pilates. I used to love yoga. When I played, I did. I did it up until like, probably like three years after I stopped playing. So probably like 2007 was the last time I did it. I gotta try that.
Starting point is 00:26:29 I just have a hard time sitting still unless it's video games or watching a movie. I can't sit there for hours not doing nothing. Yeah, well see that's how I was, Ocho. When I played I understood because I gotta get flexibility, I got you don't get my core blah blah blah, but once I was done I'll be thinking like 15 minutes in the class. I'll be like man. What's your what you doing? Hmm? But I used to I used to take yoga, you know, like I said I could do split front to back Now I can't take the chance of my hip popping out. That's the last thing I'm gonna have happen.
Starting point is 00:27:09 I ain't trying to get no more surgeries. I'm done. I ain't trying to do the rehab. The surgery wasn't that bad because once I got that arthritic bone out of that, that ball and socket out of the outro. You was good. The only thing I felt was the incision.
Starting point is 00:27:23 The incision was torn for a couple of, you know, they have those, the stitches that dissolve. And they kept, no, they didn't, it was glue. They glued it. But anyway, it wasn't that bad, but I ain't trying to go through that process again. Because I'm happy for Coach Belichick. Hey, Coach, congrats, man.
Starting point is 00:27:42 You gonna find him somebody? Let me. Because y'all quick, once y'all got in common, why you care? Yeah. You gotta find your person. Yeah. You gotta find your person. So Coach Belichick older than me, and he got him a 20 something.
Starting point is 00:28:04 But they get mad at me, and he got him a 20-something. Yeah. But they get mad at me, and I say I like 35, 33. They get all upset, they get hostile. Yeah, but, Bomb, you gotta understand. Your set of rules and Bill's set of rules are completely different. You know, I don't think a 30, 35, a 20, 20-something, older 20s or 30s or 35 would be good for you,
Starting point is 00:28:25 or suitable for you, because the rules that you have in place. I ain't got no, Ocho, Ocho, so you mean to tell me, for a chance for you to drive around a Cullinan, you gonna drive around a G-Wagon, you gonna carry Birkins, and you say all I ask,
Starting point is 00:28:41 don't burp in front of me, don't pass gas in front of me. And that's gonna be a deterrent? You right, Ocho, you absolutely right. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. There are a lot of other things that you, okay, okay, okay. You know what, I'm with you when you're right. I really can't argue with that.
Starting point is 00:28:56 I'm just saying, Ocho. I can't argue. I'm not asking you to cook. Wait, wait, let's get back to the, let's keep the main thing the main thing. Okay. Boy, you buying G-Wagons? You buying main thing the main thing. Okay, well you buying G wagons you back I Know I'm just asking no no
Starting point is 00:29:11 But you're using it as an example Let me know because I got some some piece of some some people for you You know you buying G wagons and Birkins and and stuff like that. You know, I got I got a few, you know, uh potentials for you No, everybody always talk about date date your age date your age. Well, I want to date my wage I'm gonna shut all this is down tonight. I want to date my wage. Stay right there. Where y'all at? Hey, Jack, where they at? Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on, hold on. Cause you know, I keep it on me now.
Starting point is 00:29:46 Yeah. I keep it on me. You wanna date your what? I wanna date my wage. Not my age. I wanna date my wage. So when I date. Cause y'all always talking about date your age.
Starting point is 00:30:00 Date your age. I wanna date my wage. So come on with it. Well you talking- As a matter of fact, I'm taking applicants as we speak. What are you talking spicy tonight, boy? What are you talking spicy? Date my wage.
Starting point is 00:30:11 I'm feeling too much hate. On your own. Now all of a sudden, y'all crying, women. Y'all they got their deceit. I'm finna date my wage. Ooh, that's a good one, boy. Look at that. That's what I'm talking about.
Starting point is 00:30:25 Let's go. The day my way. I'm gonna try. I just tried. I've never understood. How does, Ocho, it sometimes, and it gets like this with a lot of time with jealousy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:38 It's almost like as my, how does my light being bright Right. cast the darkness on you? You see, what I got, so you feel because of my success, it delayed your success? I'm not gonna say my success, you'll feel a failure. Does my success delay your success? Right.
Starting point is 00:31:08 It does, no. So now, let's go the other way. If I date, so you feel that, okay, let's just say for the sake of argument, oh, there's some young lady out there that's 50. So you feel if I date a 35-year over 40 year old, you missed that opportunity? Uh oh. Who just carried you?
Starting point is 00:31:30 Come on now. It's Sunday. It's Sunday. You might as well preach. Come on. I'm just asking. So let's just say for the sake of argument, when you're 50, when are you going to be, when are you and I going to be in the same vicinity that you and I could potentially meet? I don't bother nobody. I don't get upset. You and somebody like Coach Belichick, we don't make jokes, but I could care less, Coach Belichick, because they don't take nothing out of my pockets.
Starting point is 00:32:00 Right. People are like, you wanted that with your daughter? What y'all fail to realize, my daughter is grown. Hell, remember I told you when she was 17, I told her not to get a tattoo and she went and got it. How the hell you think I'm gonna tell somebody what to do when she is in her damn 30s now? Mm-hmm. Hey, she asked me, I'll advise. But at the end of the day I want my daughter happy So if some guy 50 years old makes my daughter happy That is If somebody if somebody 25 makes my daughter happy at the end of the day
Starting point is 00:32:35 I want my kids happy right damn what the daddy thing damn what their mom thing if you happy I'm happy because at the end of day, all I want is my kids happiness. So now back, when y'all talking about my age, when y'all coming to the table with that same wage scale, I don't want to talk about that now. Oh, OK. Hey, are you feeling good tonight, huh? No, okay. Hey, are you feeling good tonight? No, no, I don't feel no.
Starting point is 00:33:09 I'll tell you, you know me. I'm just trying to figure out what, who do, who was harmed in the, in the making, Shannon going out to dinner or Shannon going to do this. Who was harmed? Right. Nobody, nobody was harmed. Nobody was harmed. Nobody was harmed. I think people have a difference in opinion.
Starting point is 00:33:31 You know, you like what you like. And I think people on the outside looking in, they had their perception on who you should be dating. And that's just how they see. But what they feel you should be dating might not make you happy Where was all that good advice? Okay when I was struggling? Okay, ain't nobody offered no advice when I was gonna when I was in that thousand square percent of block home
Starting point is 00:33:53 Okay, now that Savannah State come on that ain't nobody had no advice How to Shannon get out of this environment how to Shannon improves his family's life quality standard of living How does Shannon get out of this environment? How does Shannon improve his family's life? Quality, standard of living. Nobody offered a damn thing. Now all of a sudden, y'all won't have input after I've made it here. You notice when people become successful,
Starting point is 00:34:13 now you got all this advice you can offer. But you didn't offer a damn thing when I didn't have a damn thing. Now they got all the answers, huh? Now they got, they know what exactly to do now. Well, if you know what to do, why you not doing it for yourself? Oh, if you could tell me how I became successful in what I did and who I need a date and what I need to do Why can't you?
Starting point is 00:34:36 Do it for yourself Well, you talking tonight and we'd often play Put your cash up. I'm like what day damn, everybody, everybody got to, got to, got to, got to offer me advice. I made it this far. Am I perfect? No. I never profess to be perfect. I try to live the best. Well, hold on, so why'd you get Smell O'Sincre if they wanted to see something different? Because you're giving me difficult words that I really can't spell, so's just the people want to see something a little different. What? Hold on, so why do you get spellosync on if they want to see something different? Because you're giving me difficult words that I really can't spell, so that's the difference.

Do you see the words that they be spelling? Yeah, that used to be me. I'm talking words, they be spelling words I ain't never heard of them.

You ain't never heard of deleterious? Who? Deleterious. When the last time you used deleterious in a sentence? Now come on. I ain't using it since but I've heard it.
Starting point is 00:59:40 I mean yeah I've heard it but I don't use it. Yeah see that's all it is. I've never used it. Most of the words I spell, I can spell, are things mean, yeah, I've heard it, but I don't use it. Yeah, see, that's all it is. I've never used it. See, I was gonna go, I was gonna go back, and I was to show up to the National Championship game to go to Lulu's. But that unclosed it.
Starting point is 01:02:30 Trudy Lawrence says, hey, I grew up in North Carolina and in high school, no work got done because the teachers brought in TVs to class and we watched games for March Madness. Well, I was done out of school before March Madness got as big as it was. I mean, obviously, you know, 79 was when it like took off with Bird and Magic. The first one I remember probably like 77. I think Mark ended up beating on North Carolina.
Starting point is 01:02:58 Then 78, Kentucky won. And obviously 79, Magic and Bird won. And then 80 with Louisville. 81 was Indiana, 82 was Carolina, 83 was NC State, 84 with Georgetown, 85 was Villanova, 86 with Louisville, 87 was Syracuse, 88 with Dan and the Miracles, 89 was Michigan, 90 was UNLV, 91 was 91, 92 was...
Starting point is 01:03:31 That's what I know, Uncle Joe. This is what the people want to see, Uncle. This is what you don't understand. When the people watch the show, we know you know trivia. We know you know sports. We know you know sports. We know that. We want to see you vulnerable. We want to see you uncomfortable.
Starting point is 01:03:48 Oh, Joe, this was the fight, this was March Madness. Yeah, but you not understand it. People want to see you uncomfortable and vulnerable in a space you're not used to. I don't do riddles. I don't sit around like, oh, let me see. That's the good thing. That's what people want to see.
Starting point is 01:04:04 We know you know sports. We know you're going to get all that, right? Let's see. That's the good thing. That's what people want to see. We know you know sports. We know you're going to get all that right. Let's see him in a different atmosphere, in a different climate where he's not well versed in a certain thing. Let's see how he operates. You know, it's OK. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:17 No. No, but we definitely wasn't watching those sports in high school. And Kira, we are bringing you spicy takes on sports and pop culture, some golf haps, and interviews with incredible people who have figured out how to make golf their superpower. Or just people we like. Plus tales from the road and everything in between. By the way, golf isn't just for the dads, brads and chads. Yeah, it's actually life's cheat code and we're not going to be quiet about it on or

I'm doing a new podcast from iHeart Podcasts and the National Hockey League,
Starting point is 01:05:32 and I'm paired up with one of my favorite players, the always quotable Nate Thompson. I wore nine NHL sweaters, and I have story after story to share. And believe it or not, I have plenty to say and not just about hockey. Believe me, he does. Energy Line with Nate and JSB is the name of the podcast and it's gonna be well it's gonna be quite the ride. We're officially line mates
Starting point is 01:05:53 Nate. We're the Energy Line. We'll have plenty of folks join us, current players, some of my former teammates, Hall of Famers and wait to see some of the connections that Julie has. She has quite the Rolodex. Okay, we'll lean into Nate's playing experience and tap into our interests away from hockey and try to do what energy lines are supposed to do, provide an emotional boost. How do you feel about all that, Nate? I'm vibing, Julie. I'm ready to roll. Listen to Energy Line with Nate and JSB on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. My name is Brendan Patrick Hughes, host of Divine Intervention.
Starting point is 01:06:31 This is a story about radical nuns in combat boots and wild haired priests trading blows with J. Edgar Hoover in a hell bent effort to sabotage a war. J. Edgar Hoover was furious somebody violated the FBI and he wanted to bring the Catholic left to its knees. The FBI went around to all their neighbors and said to them, do you think these people are good Americans? It's got heists, tragedy, a trial of the century, and the god-damnedest love story you've ever heard. I picked up the phone and my thought was,
Starting point is 01:07:05 this is the most important phone call I'll ever make in my life. I couldn't believe it. I mean, Brendan, it was divine intervention. Listen to Divine Intervention on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, y'all? or wherever you get your podcasts. conversations that inspire and empower. Starting point is 01:07:51 If you're an old or new fan looking to learn more about your favorite players or coaches and hear about their journeys and processes to success, this podcast is an exciting and invaluable resource for anyone interested in the complexities of excellence on the softball diamond. Softball is a game of failure and pressure situations, but lucky for all the fabulous softball players and fans, pressure makes diamonds. And it's time to drop some bombs and diamonds on and off the softball diamond. Dropping diamonds with AJ Andrews is an athletes' unlimited softball league production in partnership with iHeart Women's Sports and Deep Blue Sports and Entertainment.
Starting point is 01:08:24 Listen to Dropping Diamonds with AJ Andrews on the iHeart radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. Presented by Capital One, founding partner of iHeart Women's Sports. Dr. Frankie, I'm Bellamy. Hey fam, who's the best college basketball coach ever? Coach K, John Wood, or someone else? Well, it's a very short list. You got Coach K, you got Coach Wooden, you got Coach Knight, you got Coach Rupp, Coach Smith? Who you got?
Starting point is 01:09:04 Who you got? How do you argue with someone that won 10 national championships, that won seven in a row? Dang it. And he won a lot of those when freshmen couldn't play? I would say Coach Wood and Coach K. that would be my one two. Who you got? I was gonna say Mr. Wood.
Starting point is 01:09:35 Mr. Wood, you can't argue with that. Resume speaks for itself. It absolutely does. Scooty Puff, congratulations to T and Jamar. Get their bag. We left some excellent players walking in the past. I'm glad we decided to do right by T. Hude. Yep, you have.
Starting point is 01:09:53 But I think the thing is that what Coach, what Mike Brown is seeing, that these opportunities don't come to alone. You got to seize the moment. You got a quarterback that's in its prime. You got a great opportunity. Cause you know the Baron waste, which was Cincinnati and no playoffs Ocho, losing first round draft, number one overall pick
Starting point is 01:10:20 after number one overall pick. Come on bro, enough of that. Enough of that now now it's time. You have an opportunity to win, to give the people something to hold on to. These people have been cheering for you for a long, long time, and they haven't had a whole lot to show.
Starting point is 01:10:38 Yeah, you went to the, what, 80, what were you with there? 80? 88, or 89. 88, I think they went like 82? Cause they played in Detroit with Ken Anderson. They ended up losing to, they ended up losing to Sam Fran. But you got an opportunity to hear,
Starting point is 01:11:03 you gotta see this moment, Ocho. Goodypoobegaia said, Uncle Ocho, two weeks ago at Christ the Redeemer, I prayed for both of you. T and Jamar for health, wealth and success. Look at everyone, winning, blessed and thriving. Hootay. Goodypuff, thank you so much, bro.
Starting point is 01:11:20 I appreciate that. Salute. Junior said, older women always shame men for dating younger women when they dated older men when they were growing, when they were young. True? Uh-oh. True?
Starting point is 01:11:33 Uh-oh. True? Uh-oh. Moving forward, I'm dating for a wage. Is it wage? Not age. I like that. Yep.
Starting point is 01:11:48 Alan Fletcher up on X game mode tonight. Curvy Asian dog. You talking about steak of women with aged meat. There you go. Ocho say he like his little age with a little seasoning. Oh yeah. Oh yeah, more definitely. Dab Smith said, I understand your preference in age, I'm a young buck and I want that old gravy, older the berry, the sweeter the juice. Ocho say, the sweeter the juice, the older the Jews. Ocho say, the sweet of the Jews, the old of the buried.
Starting point is 01:12:26 For me, whatever you like. Ocho, I'm not, look, so many people died so we could have the right to kind of go where we want to go and do what we want to do. But now all of a sudden, they want to be able to tell you, well, you should do this, you should do that. Why? That's what you want to do. Why don't I get a preface on sudden they want to be able to tell you well you should do this you should do that Why that's what you want to do right? Why do I why don't I get a preference on what I want to do? Yeah, I like that. I like that. So do I get to tell you where you should work?
Starting point is 01:12:54 Do I get to tell you what type of car you should drive where you should live? Oh But y'all feel like y'all feel like y'all should be able to tell me what I should date who I should date No, I'm good. A.K. Tan said, good show Nightcap, speaking of dating, how do you handle being number two and how did you go about it? Number one? Who? What? Whoa, whoa, whoa. You got the easy job. Yeah, bring that back in. He says, how did you handle being number two and how did you go about it? So I listen number two the number number never let me stop
Starting point is 01:13:32 I'm gonna let you answer that You what you made up with you I have for that I've been number two Huh? I'm section number one number one number one. Yeah, listen. Okay, B number two, number two, number two. Ah, I mean, you look, you look. Everything. If she tells you from the beginning, you have to make a decision.
Starting point is 01:13:53 Maybe that's what you're into. Okay, I got somebody. Okay. We do what we do, boom. We do what we do, boom. Now, she doesn't tell you she has somebody. You find out she has somebody. She doesn't wanna leave said individual. Now you got a decision to make.
Starting point is 01:14:16 Do you wanna continue this or do you say, nah, this is gonna be a problem for somebody and I don't wanna be a problem for me. That's it, oh, me I don't really know what he wants us to tell it I don't know. Do you not want to be number two or you wanted to be number one? Maybe I mean that would give me an indication of how I can better explain what's going on Are you do you are you not okay with being number two? You want to be number one? Did you find out that you were number two? He thought you were number one.
Starting point is 01:14:48 Time out. If he number two, he definitely don't need to graduate to number one. Because if you graduated number one, then there'll be a number two that can replace you. Keep the position you in. Enjoy yourself. Number one, got to deal with the headache. Number one, got to pay the bills. Number one, gotta pay the bills. Number one, gotta do all the motherfucking bull, you know what, and you just get to sit back and relax.
Starting point is 01:15:10 And you get the better version of her anyway. But what if it's a situation where, you know, her family dynamic won't allow you to be number one? Oh, hey, hey, hey, listen, it's hard for me to, I just, man listen, them days long gone for me man. Them days long gone, so it's hard for me to even answer. See, here's the thing old Joe. I ain't, see, you can not be number one, but be a favorite.
Starting point is 01:15:45 Ugh. And most of the time, most of the time, her favorite is the person that's not good for her. The favorite is always the fun guy. The number one is normally the safe person. The safe person is the one you take home to your mama. Your favorite is the one your mama say, boy baby don't you bring him home here. He ain't no good for you.
Starting point is 01:16:07 She thinks something about me, Ocho. Cause she put me on a team. Yeah. I'm on a team, Ocho. No matter what run I got drafted in, I don't care if I'm number one or I'm number 46. I ain't listening. I'm on a team, Ocho.
Starting point is 01:16:20 That's all, that's listening. Sometimes that's all that matter, huh? Which means I'm gonna get in the game. All you gotta do wait wait on the call She's gonna serve you in at some point. All you got to do is wait Uh, dwight will you said do you guys think chris brown will ever get an opportunity to do the super bowl halftime show? ocho Oh, man to do the Super Bowl halftime show. Ocho? Oh man.
Starting point is 01:16:45 Listen, from a performing standpoint. Man, that thing would be crazy. Crazy, from a performing standpoint. Hey, he'd be phenomenal. He'd be phenomenal. He's one of the best in the world. There's only maybe three or four of them with the stage presence that can command the tension.
Starting point is 01:17:04 Notice what we said, O said, we said performing. Performing, yeah. Beyonce. Now that's not to say that he could, oh, he could do it all. Because he can sing, he can dance. Beyonce, Bruno Mars. Chris Brown. I'm thinking of- Usher.
Starting point is 01:17:23 Usher. I'm talking about performers. Like, I don't care what you doing. Oh so and so got the half time show? You know what? I don't care. I gotta watch. I gotta watch. I gotta put it down. I don't care what I'm doing. I gotta watch. Cuz ain't no telling what they finna do. He be really dope. He be really dope. I can imagine. J213, hey, Uncle Nojo, hope y'all had a blessed weekend. My question for you all, would you rather get kicked by a horse, punched by a silverback, scratched by a bear,
Starting point is 01:17:57 or kicked by a kangaroo? Kicked by a kangaroo? Cause that's gonna hurt the least out of everything you just said. Kangaroo because that that's that that's gonna hurt the least out of everything you just said I mean all of them could potentially kill you I take the kangaroo Horse gonna break something gorilla you dead. That's that's too much power And what was that they have the they have the strength of eight men. Exactly. I don't want no part of that.
Starting point is 01:18:27 A bear, it ought to... Because a bear do this... But you done. He gonna open you up like a right melon. Wide open. I'm good. Kicked by a kangaroo. Oh Joe, you know they stand on that tail. They don't kick with one foot. They kick with both of them.
Starting point is 01:18:43 Listen, there's a lot of power behind it, but I could withstand that I could deal with that. I Could do everything them other three. I want no part of that. Yeah, I Do want to go to the Congo I want to see I want to see I want to take a go to the the Varunga mountains And do what and Rwanda and see the silverback see him trick. Okay. All right Now that's something I do too Do you want to go to the mountain? Yes, you mess around get me out there man. I get to run a while out there with them damn gorillas, man

I'm telling the man, you're not any. Nah, I'm good. That would be a good one. We only got to trade a trip to Hojo. We got to take a trip?
