He still started season 0-1.
Starting point is 00:04:30 You hear me? We good? We good. We're going to be all right. We're going to be all right. Hey, remember us? Two times Super Bowl winning champ, how they looked last year in the beginning?
Starting point is 00:04:38 They weren't too pretty, man. They weren't too pretty. But there's a young dude that's 3-1 against that young fella that's a two-time Super Bowl champion coming in the week two going in the arrow head next week. And you know what's going to happen. And I'm telling you, I'm not even Cleo. Remember the commercial? Remember Cleo?
Starting point is 00:04:55 Yeah, I know Miss Cleo. Okay. I'm just letting you know. And the chat don't know. I'm telling you right now. I'm telling you ahead of time. If you're a gambler man, put your money on the Bengals next week because we ain't losing. We ain't losing.
Starting point is 00:05:07 Oh, y'all gonna win. I guarantee you, next week, the Bengals will be four and one against the Chiefs or Joe Burrow will be. I'm telling you. Matter of fact, I'm going to the game. I'm gonna go to the game. I don't even know what Kansas City at,
Starting point is 00:05:23 but I'm gonna get a flight because I know gonna go to the game. I don't even know what Kansas City at, but I'm gonna get a flight because I know spirit go there. Okay, bet that what happened to miss Cleo Joe? I don't know why I remember that I used to see the commercials all the time the little infomercials. I ain't seen him in a minute. Did she I don't know. I think she might something might have
Starting point is 00:05:43 happened to her. But anyway, Adam Shepter dropped the bomb this morning that coach Belichick wants to return to coach the next season. Tell you what, he wanted to coach this season. That's why he went on job interviews. They make it seem like they make it seem like coach Belichick turned jobs down. That wasn't the case. I, you know what I, I'd like, I'd like to see him coach.
Starting point is 00:06:06 I think the difference now with bill is will bill be able to adapt to the younger generation of players, really be able to evolve. I don't think, um, I don't think the older style of coaching in a sense will resonate with the younger, with the younger generation. I don't know if that makes sense. I think you might be able to explain it a little better. I think those in the chat might understand what I'm saying. Being able to relate to the players,
Starting point is 00:06:35 being able for getting the players to understand how you do things. I don't think the old school style of coaching will go very well with him, if that makes sense. As Adam reported, Coach Belichick wants to return to coaching if the right opportunity presents itself. Belichick will be able to keep a close eye on the league through the media projects, tracking his players and ready himself to coach again. Pocho, where do you land? Where would you think he will land? Like, as I said, he went on some interviews. Remember, he had two interviews with the Falcons before they settled on Raheem Morris.
Starting point is 00:07:13 Morris, excuse me. He interviewed somewhere else. Where's did he interview at? Did he interview with two teams? I know he interviewed with the Falcons. Hey. Who? Yeah. No, I'm saying did he interview? I'm talking about to be a head coach.
Starting point is 00:07:31 They wanted him as a DC in San Fran. Did he interview in Seattle? Did he interview? Why? Why am I thinking he interviewed with two teams? I know he had two interviews with the Falcons. I like, I like, I like, honestly, honestly, I like Bill on TV. I know he had two interviews with the Falcons. I like, I like, I like, honestly, honestly, I like Bill on TV better, man.
Starting point is 00:07:52 I like Bill on TV. He want that record. That was, is it, he want Shula. It's 379, what's the number again? Nah, I think it's like 342, something like that, 347. Where, how far away is he? Probably like 20 games, I think.'s like three forty two, something like that. Three forty seven. We're how far away is he? Probably like 20 games, I think. That's it. 25 games.
Starting point is 00:08:09 Yeah. Yeah, although that's it in the right situation. That's it. I mean, yeah, he wasn't going to get it because, well, I mean, where could he go? Can you imagine Belichick with the Cowboys? They need like a no, what did he say? Just the Falcons, just the Falcons. OK, so you just go ahead, Coach.
Starting point is 00:08:30 Yeah. Can you imagine Bill with the Bill with the Cowboys? That ain't happening. That ain't happening. It's hard, Ocho, when you think about it, when you've had power for 20 years. Yes, sir. No, so last so 20 Almost almost 25 years. You had total control
Starting point is 00:08:52 How do you go and you have a general manager over you and you don't get really final say on the roster or draft? How you operate on it? I think think you have a conversation before you even, that's why you have those interviews. Understand the landscape before you even get hired. And if the young fellow with the star who owns the team doesn't agree, you just walk. You just walk. It's just that simple. The great, arguably one of the greatest coaches. You know Jerry just told you, Ocho. He told you. Can't nobody do it better than him.
Starting point is 00:09:33 I mean Bill has six Super Bowl championships but I think he can. Jerry say he been through he seen this thing from start to finish. Can't nobody do it like me. Hey one thing about it he's a he's seen this day from start to finish. Can't nobody do it like me. Hey, one thing about it, he's a he's a salesman. Can't nobody say, can't nobody sell a product like he can. Now that that that that I agree with. So. The Vikings beat the Giants, 28, six, the Giants were blown off the field by Minnesota in the opener. They heard boos after the second offensive play again, while leaving the field at halftime and consistently throughout the second half Giants fan
Starting point is 00:10:12 even posted a video of themselves lighting Daniel Jones Jersey on fire. New York did not attempt a single pass over 20 air yards in the first three quarters. The office didn't look any different with Brian Dayball as the play caller as it did last season with Mike Kafka. After the game, Dexter Lawrence spoke about the giant fans booing Daniel Jones. Oh Joe, let's take a listen to the sound.
Starting point is 00:10:41 I don't respect it, honestly. I get it. They want to see their team win. You know, it's just a rough patch. I mean, it just is what it is. Rough patch. It's been a rough patch for a while, huh? Yeah. What do you think about the board of Daniel Jones? You okay with it? I mean, it's part of the game.
Starting point is 00:11:05 It's part of the game. Listen, you have to have thick skin. Do you know what Daniel Jones plays football, right? You know who he plays for? We're about the fans. Boy, the media don't even play that. The media. Playing in the New York media,
Starting point is 00:11:18 you got to have thick skin. You do? You have to have thick skin. Playing anywhere in New York, you gotta have thick skin. So he thick skin playing anywhere in New York. You got to have thick skin so he should be used to it. Listen, things, some things just haven't gone Daniel Jones way. They haven't. They got you some weapons in there. You got to use them. You got to use them. And the John Maher, how you say his name is the John Mara? Yeah. You have to be upset letting Saquon Barkley walk, watching him perform the way he performed Thursday night. Like no, you gave $140 billion a day in your Jones.
Starting point is 00:11:55 That's what you should be upset about. They didn't have, they didn't have a choice at that time. Oh, you got a choice. The timing, the timing of everything. There's no other option. There was an option. Because you gave it to him, you still had a fifth year option. You still had a fourth year option.
Starting point is 00:12:12 You had options. Let him prove it. That's what they did to Saquard. They put the franchise tag on it. They didn't give him no long term deal. Oh, you know they don't value the quarterback, I mean the running back position in the NFL no more. Well, the problem is they don't value it wrong players I'm not saying the position isn't valuable, right? I
Starting point is 00:12:32 Mean, no, that's that's the way The league has shaped. I don't I don't know how to explain it I don't know at one point now that it's it's it's shifted to being pass heavy Yeah, don't value the cook the the running back position as much as they used to. Let me, let me say it like that. They don't. Nah. Because he said it's a pass happy league.
Starting point is 00:12:51 Nobody just say, Oh, we just going to run the football. Right, right, right. Right. And because you paid a quarterback so much, you paid wide receiver. Think about it. Quarterbacks making 60 wide receivers making 34, 35. Yeah. So that's 95 million between two players. Yeah. And you want me to turn them right? You want. making 60, wide receivers making 34, 35. So that's 95 million between two players.
Starting point is 00:13:07 And you want me to turn around. So in other words, I got two players that I'm paying 95 million, but you want me to turn around and hand it to a guy that I'm paying 8 million to. You got to be special to get that bag, boy. Like you got to be special. You got to be able to, you got to be a Swiss Army knife. You got to be able to line up at receiver, come out, run out the backfield, catch out the backfield.
Starting point is 00:13:29 You gotta be able to do so many different things and be dynamic to actually get well over double figures at the running back position. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Only McCaffrey, I think McCaffrey was making what, like 18, 19 million a year? Damn! But he got that big, remember he got that big contract
Starting point is 00:13:46 in Carolina and nobody's been able to surpass him. A lot of running backs has come up. Zeke came up. Jonathan Taylor, Derrick Henry, there been a lot of backs that's come up and no one has been able to surpass that number. Yeah. He makes Right. 19. Yeah. He makes 19?
Starting point is 00:14:07 19. Kamara's next with 15. Okay. But remember, McCaffrey got 16, five, four, five, four years ago. Mm-hmm. Oh, he's been getting the tag. And nobody's been able to delete Frog that 16. Right.
Starting point is 00:14:24 He just got an extension that bumped him up to 19. Yeah, he been getting that bag. I get it. You know, offensive player of the year. He can do it all. He can catch it. He can run it. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:36 You know, he's great in pass protection. You know, they do a good job of using him, but you know, you don't leave him in too much on pass protection because you don't want him to take any more hits than he has to, considering, oh, I'm going to hand him the ball 20 times and throw it to him another five to 10 times. So I'm trying to keep trying to keep him as, uh, as fresh as I possibly can, given that we're so dependent on him, right? Because they're, you know, the play action is huge in San Francisco.
Starting point is 00:15:00 And like I said, I played for Kyle Dad. And so I know that office, the Gi giants got smoked at home by Sam Donald and the Vikings. It took the giant. You had to say it like that. It took the Giants defense one minute and 15 seconds relating or remaining in the first half to force an incompletion. Man, they had, they had Sam Donnell out there looking like Tom Brady,
Starting point is 00:15:26 Patrick Mahomes and Peyton man. Hey, Sam Donnell was on fire, but Sam Donnell was on fire. And listen, I'm happy for Sam, you know, cause obviously you're on your 14 things that work out in San Francisco, things that work out in Carolina, things that work out in New York, you're the San Francisco last year. You was back at the party. Yeah, so I'm happy for him. I'm happy, I'm happy he's looking like that
Starting point is 00:15:51 because all you're doing is you're gonna string together some games. J.J. McCarthy is out what, for the whole year, right? Yes. Listen, this is your time to shine because this might be another opportunity, another stepping stone. If you put together a good season with JJ, you know, he ain't going to be there,
Starting point is 00:16:09 but he put his season together. We didn't go, he, he, he have opportunity to be a starter again somewhere else. Yeah. I'm happy for him. Whoa. Man. Hello. What's wrong?
Starting point is 00:16:22 You all right? The Saints beat the Panthers 47 to 10. Bryce Young was accepted on the first play and started the second half with another. His new targets didn't help. The defense stunk it up. Are the Panthers in second year quarterback Bryce Young really as bad as they look? Hold on before you answer that. 31-31-3 halftime deficit by Canales was the second largest for a coach in his first game since Brian Flores and the Dolphins trail 42 to 10 to Baltimore in 2019. Remember that was the year Lamar won the MVP unanimously.
Starting point is 00:16:53 Ocho. I don't know what's wrong. We can't blame. We can't blame it on Dave. He just he Dave just got there, Mr. Canales, Mr. Canellis got there. Okay. Who do we blame this on? I'm just asking. And I'm not going to say it's week one. I ain't gonna do that. I'm not going to say that. So who we blame it on? Oh man. Hey, you can't start, look, you on the road, you can't start the game with an
Starting point is 00:17:21 interception. You can't come out in the second half and start the game with another interception. You can't do that because your team interception. You can't come out in the second half and start the game with another interception. You can't do that because your team is not good enough to overcome those kind of miscues. Let me try to pull them up right here. They're trying to hide, Ocho. I won't blame them. Oh, man. Yeah, they were they were good. Hey, Xavier Leggett, am I saying his name right?
Starting point is 00:17:56 Yeah. Who's the other receiver on the other side? Well, they got rid of Terrence Marshall. You remember him from he was on the national championship team down in LSU? Yeah. OK. Now, they got they got they got they got to help. They got to they got to get some some weapons in there for my dog, man. They got to get some weapons in there for Bryce.
Starting point is 00:18:23 They got Adam Thielen. Okay, that's right. Thielen plays in the slot. Xavier Leggett, who's the number two? Mingo, they got Deontay Johnson. Remember Deontay Johnson from Pittsburgh? Wait, they got Deontay from the Steelers over there? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:41 Okay, we got something we can cook with. got some, we can cook with, uh, Bryce young, Andy Dalton even came in, Bryce young was 13 to 31 61 to the deception for sack. Uh, they didn't look good. I mean, Oh, it doesn't look good. It didn't look good. It hadn't looked good in a long, long time. Yeah. Um, David Tepper doesn't seem to be a guy that has a lot of patients
Starting point is 00:19:05 who's the owner of the team. Hey, if I'm not mistaken, I think he fired. Wouldn't he, didn't he get rid of a riverboat Ron? Yeah. Got rid of Ron Rivera hired Matt rule fired Matt rule. Uh, who was the guy last year? Oh, uh, then Steve Wilkes and then didn't hire him and everybody wanted him. And so now he got Canales. Man. Okay. What'd you think? He gonna get Canales?
Starting point is 00:19:33 What two years, three cops. Damn. And you ain't telling you ain't telling no entire franchise around in Oh, two, three years. I know I know that no it's possible once you had that centerpiece Bryce Young be if Bryce Young is the answer you know if is he is he your franchise quarterback oh yes they probably like damn you beat your CJ Stroud because whoever went first the other guy was going second well you definitely couldn't pass up Bryce Young with the season he had with Alabama yeah I mean that that the two seasons. Yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 00:20:07 I agree. I saw the buddy putting them pieces around him. He, you're going to be all right. But I, you know, I think they're going to be fine. I think it'll be fine. I mean, if you look at Baker, he left the Panthers. He's playing really, really well in Tampa. Now Tampa do have more weapons.
Starting point is 00:20:25 They got Mike Edwards. They got Chris Godwin. They got a nice, you know, I love Todd Bowles that defense plays outstanding. They got some nice pieces. Um, Sam Darnall, you look at what he played really well today. Like look, Baker, we saw what Baker and parlay that into a nice contract. Baker played well last year. They won the division last year.
Starting point is 00:20:46 So Baker is playing really well and earned the contract that he's got. And he played really well today. Joe Brady, he was an OC. He leaves, he's calling the good games elsewhere. Something going on, Ojo, what's going on? I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:21:05 Everybody lead it and everybody do good once they leave. Something going on, what's going on? I don't know. I don't know. Everybody leader and everybody do good once they leave. I don't know. Everybody do better once they leave. Yeah, once they out of there. Once they out of there. Oh, hey, listen, it's so early, I'm not gonna overreact. I'm not gonna overreact, but what we saw today,
Starting point is 00:21:30 what I saw today from the Panthers is basically what I saw last year. Yes, I agree. And I hope as a young quarterback, especially for Bryce Young, I hope he hasn't lost his confidence. Cause you know, once you lose that confidence, Uncle is hell to get it back.
Starting point is 00:21:48 Yeah. It is, it's hell to get it back. You question yourself, you know, you want, you want, you want, you one step off, you know, wanting to throw it. You hesitate, you question, it's, once you lose that confidence, man, it's, it's, it's, it's, it sucks. If you think about it, Ojo, you lose that confidence, man, it's whole, it sucks. If you think about it, Ocho, you look at what it is.
Starting point is 00:22:09 They basically grade Christian McCaffrey away. Yeah. Same thing with Brian Burns. I think some team offered them two first rounders for Brian Burns. They ended up taking like, what? What'd they give for Brian Burns? Somebody offered him two firsts.
Starting point is 00:22:22 They said, nah, we good. I think it might've been the Rams. I think the Rams offered him two firsts for Brian Burns. Who offered him to first. They said, nah, we good. I think it was, might've been the Rams. I think the Rams offered him to first for Brian burns who offered him to first. Somebody did. They ended up trading them to the giants and then get nearly that you, you let, you let 49ers police you for a, a, a C Mac. Yeah, they do it. They ran C Mac into the damn ground. The Rams offer two first round picks and a second. No, Brian Burns.
Starting point is 00:22:49 And they said no Carolina. What did they trade him for? Watch this. Watch. Watch. We find out what they got for him. Who made who make that decision over there? Mr.
Starting point is 00:23:01 Temple. The Rams had two first and a second. They take trade into the Giants for a second and a fifth. They must. It must be some personal. I don't know what it is because normally the even swap is in the swindle. Right. They got swindle on this one. Yeah. That's why I said he didn't want to he didn't want to help out mr. What's it? What's the owner name over there Stan? Stan Cronky? Yeah they might be beefing. Oh Joe we could be beefing but if you want to win you need capital. You need players you need good players. Yeah. You don't have good players. Yeah he probably one thing about that I mean two one two two ones and a two. Shoot bro you supposed to
Starting point is 00:23:42 jump on you. And you trading for a two and a five. Yeah. You told me you don't know the head you're doing. Yeah. Oh, you ain't take, you ain't taking winning serious. How about that? So I mean, you release Cam Keakley didn't do your solid because Keakley retired. He had, you know, head issues. Yeah. Keakley had many years left.
Starting point is 00:24:01 He left. So he was, so you lose when in one year you lost the two heartbeats of your team. Cam and Kinkley. Damn. Smitty, you let Smitty go? Smitty. So, yeah, they need to,
Starting point is 00:24:23 and the quickest way, Ocho, is through the draft. First round picks. Just think about it. You got first round picks. Not granted, you gave up your first round picks when you traded for Bryce. But you needed that to restock it. Damn. Yeah, David Tepper.
Starting point is 00:24:45 But you know, you got a lot of money and you try to run every it's hard here. It's hard in this league. It'll humble you. Is he a football guy? Is Mr. Tepper a football guy? Does he have a football background to actually know where he's going? That's why I hired Matt Ruhl. Gave him seven, eight years.
Starting point is 00:25:03 And then you fired him. Then what you call him? Come Gave him seven, eight years. And then you fired him. Then once the comm comes in, do it really, really well for you. Steve Wiltz. Right. Let him go too. Oh, well. Wake up with football every morning and listen to my new podcast, NFL Daily with Greg Rosenthal. Starting point is 00:29:51 Up first, I explore the making of a rivalry, Kaitlyn Clark versus Angel Reese. I know I'll go down to history. People are talking about women's basketball just because of one single game. Every great player needs a foil. I ain't really in here them boys. I just come here to play basketball every single day
Starting point is 00:30:06 and that's what I focus on. From college to the pros, Clark and Reese have changed the way we consume women's sports. Angel Reese is a joy to watch. She is braggadocious. She is unapologetically black. I love her. What exactly ignited this fire?
Starting point is 00:30:23 Why has it been so good for the game? And can the fanfare surrounding these two supernovas be sustained? This game is only going to get better because the talent is getting better. Listen to the making of a rivalry, Caitlin Clark versus Angel Reese, on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
Starting point is 00:30:39 or wherever you get your podcasts. get your podcast. Josh Allen's second Russian touchdown today was a leaping effort in the end zone over Buddha Baker. But after leaping over Baker, Allen landed on his left hand around the ball underneath and appeared to hurt his hand. And the Bills went on to win 34-28. Allen led the Bills to three scores in the second half, a touchdown with nine players catching the pass and 10 on 10 targeted.
Starting point is 00:31:11 Allen joined Steve Young as the only players to have multiple rushing and passing touchdowns in four games. Oh Joe, what you thinking? Is it going to be okay? Josh, y'all ain't going to be okay. He was 18 or 23, 232, two touchdowns, no interception, did have two sacks, but he took care of the football. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:32 He didn't even turn the ball over. No, Keon Coleman had four catches for 51 yards. Shakira had three for 42. James Cook three for 32. Cook had 19 rushes, 31 yards. Josh Allen had nine carries for 39 yards and two touchdowns so what's going on is it gonna be okay for Allen yeah that thing's gonna be fine I think it's gonna be fine the one issue that
Starting point is 00:31:53 we've always talked about we know him being a dual threat being able to throw the ball being able to run the ball he showed that today but the most important thing for Josh Allen something that he's done in the regular season something something that he's done in the postseason, the turnovers, the turnovers are always been costly and they've always come at the wrong time. They've always come at the wrong time. Yes. And it's good. That's always his problem.
Starting point is 00:32:16 Yeah. It is. It's good to see him, you know, to be able to get the win, to go out there and do what we know he can do with his legs. We know he can, he can throw the ball. I'm sure that he did have one frontal. Let me take that back. Oh, Joe, he did have a fumble.
Starting point is 00:32:28 He lost the fumble. Josh Allen did lose a fumble. Wait, they told me that he had one turnover. They didn't get that back. He lost it. Yeah. They, they, they, they're going to have those, those, those passing days today. What today was one of those days we just sling the ball all over the place.
Starting point is 00:32:49 You throw it 40, 50, goddamn times, put it through there. Keon Coleman going to be good. You're going to be, you're going to be, you're going to be nice. You're going to be nice for the game. Keon Coleman revealed the chores. He hates more than anything. Let's take a listen to what he had to say. Oh Joe, a lot of you guys don't do chores,
Starting point is 00:33:06 but let's not bring it back to that. Number one is worst. Number five is on. Oh yeah, that's a one as you don't wanna do. One. I hate doing this. Just put him in a dishwasher. Dishes wouldn't be too bad.
Starting point is 00:33:17 Dishes wouldn't be too bad. Who the hell grew up with a dishwasher? The problem is you can't get no damn dishwasher. I say five. What? Dishes five. What's worse than dishes? Like we talking about pots or we talking about dishes? We talking about dishes.
Starting point is 00:33:26 The ones you gotta clean by hand. We talking about plates. We talking about cups, bowls. Well, put that through. We scrubbing. Put that through. All right, what? I think about three.
Starting point is 00:33:33 What could be worse than dishes? We put that through. We put that through. All right. We put that through. You ever scrub the baseboards? You ever scrub the baseboards? But what they?
Starting point is 00:33:43 They talking like janitors. Hey, I ain't washing it. I'm putting it in the dishwasher. Yeah, that too. I listen. I know I watch it. I watch it. Well, well, I'm but you know, I'm I'm very cheap.
Starting point is 00:34:03 You know, I don't I don't wash no dishes because I use paper plates. I use recyclable. Ain't nothing recycled. It's going in the trash. You're just throwing it away? It's recycled when I buy it, but I had recyclers again. Okay, okay. I see what you mean.
Starting point is 00:34:18 I try to keep my water bill down low, so I don't want to use my dishwasher. I try to keep my water bill down low so I don't want to use my dishwasher. I try to keep my water bill down low. I don't want to use, you know, wash dishes. And I just, that's, that's a unnecessary expense. So I try to keep it under 30 dollars, about $30 a month. And I've done well.
Starting point is 00:34:36 Cause I washed my ass three, four times a day. That's unnecessary. Nah bro. Like you, listen, you overdoing it. You overdoing it. You overreacting. Now you're going to scrub your goddamn skin off. There's no need to get in the shower three, four times a day.
Starting point is 00:34:53 That's why I say I smell good. They tell me I smell good, don't you? I know, uncle. You get wake up in the morning, you shower. Yes. Go out, you do some activities, you run your errands, you hit the gym. I shower. You come home by 12, 2 oclock you shower. Yes. Now. There's no need to take another shower again
Starting point is 00:35:11 Maybe you go to bed. Hold on. Maybe before you go to bed, so you don't you don't get in bed dirty You know, but come on that that's you being a little too excessive. I take this out of Joe Let's just say for the sake of our own Monday. And I got nightcap. Yeah. So I get up. I obviously I got first take. So I take a shower by six, 15, right? Get dressed, come downstairs, ask them to call Shelly, Shelly, then let Ashton Jordan in.
Starting point is 00:35:35 So when I come down, then here, they got everything fired up. We don't need to check. I'm going to come in. I'm going to sit down, probably about 650. Do a mic check at about six, fifty three, six, fifty four. We good to go. All right. I'm going to go back. I'm going to sit down probably about 650, do a mic check at about 653, 654. We good to go. All right. I'm going to go back. I'm going to go up. I'm going to eat, eat breakfast, um, chill for a little bit.
Starting point is 00:35:52 Then I'm going to go, then I'm going to go to the gym. I come home, I'm going to take a shower. Now I'm going to take it. If I'm a child, like man, gang will come on late. Let me go and get me a nap. I'm going to take, I'm going to take me a nap and come on late. Let me go and get me a nap. I'm gonna take me a nap. And then I gotta get him take a shower. I gotta wake up, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:36:10 Okay. I gotta wake up. Right, right, right. Then, guess what, Ocho, I gotta go do cardio. Then I gotta come back in. I gotta take another shower. Oh, man. Come on, man. Nah, hell nah. That's too much. Then I gotta come back in. I gotta take another shower. Oh, man. Come on.
Starting point is 00:36:25 Hell no. That's too much. I gotta take another shower. I'm sweaty. That's too much. You want me. Oh, so you want me to come on. You want me to come on.
Starting point is 00:36:33 Nightcap. Smell like get back. I mean, we ain't gonna know because we looking at you. We can't. I'll ask if I feel though. That's I mean, that's just too much. I know your water bill got to be crazy. You want to be a guy that got to be crazy.
Starting point is 00:36:43 Clean though. I mean, I'm that's just too much. I know your water bill got to be crazy. You, your water bill got to go. You got to be crazy. Yeah. Yeah. But then you say you brush it.
Starting point is 00:36:51 You brush your teeth. 37. I'll tell you the guy about that. Only do it six times a day. Only six times. Think how many times think how much water you waste in brushing your T six times a day. Think how much water you waste in showerering three and four times a day.
Starting point is 00:37:05 Yeah. Like that's that's a lot of water. That's a lot of usage, man. I'm clean. Oh, look here. I said, Lord, now if you do, I done prayed to you a many nights. I done fell on my knees a million nights. Right. And I know my granny done prayed a million night. You ever give me some endo, you ever give me some, some running water inside my house. You finna use it. And I ain't gotta take no tub bath no more. No foot tubs, no tin tub. I ain't gotta take.
Starting point is 00:37:35 You ain't gotta heat the water up. I ain't got, what? See, you had to heat it up or like when I was working in the fields, Ocho, we have to put the wash tub. We call them, some people call them tin tubs. Some people call them wash tubs. Number two, number three, wash tub, tin tub, whatever you want to call it. So we said it, we feel, you know, put the half three quarters way full
Starting point is 00:37:56 and leave it in the sun. That that warm water. See how I get that bang right there, old Joe. Yeah. See back then they had another ivory soap. That's all we ever had. Yeah, I know about ivory. I used to use ivory too.
Starting point is 00:38:07 See, ivory soap be floating. So I said, Lord, if you ever, if you ever give me an opportunity, put me in a situation, and I can take a bath whenever I want to, as many times I want to, man, I wish I would take one shower a day. I've never taken one shower a day.
Starting point is 00:38:25 That ain't gonna happen. I don't care if I don't do nothing. If I don't leave my house, the first thing I'll do, I'm gonna take a shower when I get up in the morning. I'm gonna do that every morning. And I'm gonna take another one before I go to bed. Just to wake you up? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:37 OK. OK. Sometimes you get that bag on, I have to go in and take a shower. You know? Yeah. You know. Yeah. You know, you might come on in there and join me and you don't round to a, none, a, none worse than trying to do anything in the shower. It, it, what would water and without water in general, it, it, it takes away
Starting point is 00:39:02 from, it takes away from the activity itself because the waters the water gets in the way and it dries out the area. It's FYI. I don't know who you messing with. But it ain't nothing like some wet skiing. Nah. Ain't nothing like that. Man, I don't know what you talking about though, Joe. Ain't nothing like that wet skiing. Hey, man, I don't know what you're talking about. Oh, hey, don't let that.
Starting point is 00:39:25 We're you don't you understand the friction, the friction. I don't want to get into that. I'm going to stay on topic. I'm going to stay on time. I don't know what boy, please. Mm hmm. But one, I'm just I'm just for one. Real if I'm in the shower, don't get in the shower with me because you goddamn had a hot
Starting point is 00:39:46 water too motherfucking hot. Oh, then what do we do? Number one, if you do, if the one time when we first met, can I get some water? I'm in the back of the shower cold. You all in the water. Never again. It's been five years. She had never ever step foot in the shower with me ever again. Ever again.
Starting point is 00:40:08 Beto, you gotta be... Oh! The water be boiling hot! I'm like, what... what is you doing? Oh yeah. They do... they be cooking seafood in that water now. Hot ass water. Hey! I'm like, Beto, I had a girl... Bet Man, I couldn't stop peeing that hot ass water. That's a God, you gotta get up.
Starting point is 00:40:28 Man, I said, you gotta get up outta here. I can't be the whole time. I'm trying to shower up that hot water, hear me? I said, what's wrong with you? What the? You got to go. Hey, hell no. Nah, but I was like, man, please.
Starting point is 00:40:52 Hey, that's funny. Yeah, women do have that water a little bit too hot. I don't understand how they do that. I don't understand how they do that. Because a lot of time I'll take a cold shower with you so I don't sweat, because there ain't nothing worse than taking a shower and you sweat. Right, right.
Starting point is 00:41:09 So a lot of times I take a cold shower, so I feel good, they open up the pores, especially in the morning. Now in the morning, I take a cold shower before I go in the air, open up the pores to refresh me. Right, right, right. I get some cold packs, I get some ice packs, put on my eyes so you know, get that puff in the side, get the swelling out.
Starting point is 00:41:29 So I'm coming out of them bright eyes like, oh yeah, feeling good now. Yeah, I don't know about that cold shower. I can't do that. I can't do that. Oh yeah. I'm taking a hot shower. The AC is on in the house. Wherever I'm going, I'm sure the AC is on.
Starting point is 00:41:42 Cold shower? Oh no, I can get in the cold tub oh yeah but say I'm a sweater Ocho I'm a sweater okay okay okay okay that's understandable I'm a sweater Ocho yes sir yes sir yes sir hey you think you think old girl a fighter could I be enough she be damn my face mother me you know You think you think old girl or a fighter. Cause I be enough and she be dancing my face in front of me. You know what I'm saying? Oh, damn it.
Starting point is 00:42:11 I'm a fighter. Right. That ain't stop on shadow. Yeah. Got to have the AC on man. Oh yeah, for sure. Oh yes. 65. 65.
Starting point is 00:42:26 65. Ooh. The Seattle Seahawks beat the Broncos 26-20. The Seahawks frustrated Bo Nicks and often kept him throwing off his back. But before he wanted to, Nicks was clearly wobble Sunday, early interception. Two other missed picks, two sacks in the first half, but Payton kept calling passes by the
Starting point is 00:42:49 by halftime. Nick was averaging three yards per temp on 22 throws. The Bronco had run 16 times. Nick's best moment didn't come until late in the fourth quarter when he rushed for a four yard touchdown after the game. A reporter tweeted absolutely horrendous game from, from Nick. Nick horrible. I left, felt the game been rough and a, absolutely horrendous game from Nick. Nick, horrible. I left felt the game been rough and a blowout for sure,
Starting point is 00:43:09 but it definitely didn't expect him to look this bad. Every positivity I prayed for him is gone. Bad footwork, widely inaccurate. Reading this out too slow, unsafe with the football, everything. Hope it's just the first game, generous. Either way, we'll see against, hold on, they play Pitt it's just the first game, general's either way we'll see a gift. Hold on, they play Pitt?
Starting point is 00:43:27 They play the Stanley? Well, good luck. It's gonna look the same. What are they playing? Hope they're playing Denver. Pat Surtain, he responded, honestly, this is what I expect, they're not gonna lie. So fickle, this is part of the game, stuff happens.
Starting point is 00:43:40 He played great, so quick to hate on someone, to go on social media and talk about it. That part of the process, man, is bad. Well, listen, you have to understand Bo Nicks. You know, they sat there, they watched him in the preseason. They cry on him. He looks so good. You know, you scramble around, you're making plays, you're making throws. You look good. You're not understanding.
Starting point is 00:43:58 You're not going against the ones you're going against the twos and the threes. You're going against some of the people that's not even going to make the team. That's what people have to understand. And then the plays that are being called defensively, everything is very vanilla. You got cover one, you got cover two, you got cover three, you got cover four. That's it. Ain't nobody getting exotic. Ain't nobody getting exotic.
Starting point is 00:44:18 Ain't nobody bringing no blitz back. Man, listen, now you see, this is what happened. You got the ones. This is why you need to play in the pre-season. But the bad thing about it is, Bo Nicks doesn't know what it was gonna look like until you're going against the ones. Now you see everything is speeding up a little bit.
Starting point is 00:44:36 Now you see you have to process information a little bit faster. Now you see you gotta get that ball out your hand. Oh yeah, they're coming. And then listen, if you think the Seahawks was coming at you, now wait till you got to see the ball out your hand. Oh yeah. And then listen, if you think the Seahawks was coming at you, now wait till you got to see the Steelers next week and you got TJ Watts.
Starting point is 00:44:50 High smell. Just your man, come on now. Listen, as a rookie quarterback, you're going to have some growing pains, but this is one of the reasons why it's good for rookie quarterbacks to sit behind a veteran for a year, to get acclimated, to learn, become a sponge, and then transition into playing in their second year.
Starting point is 00:45:13 Now they just throw you out there to the wolves. They throw you out to the wolves. And when you lose your confidence, as a young quarterback, that young, boy, I'm, listen, I already know how hard it is to get your confidence back as a receiver. So I can imagine being not only a captain, but the leader of the team in the throw of the ball.
Starting point is 00:45:34 And you got everybody depending on you. Well, you better than me, boy. The Texans go on the road and they beat the coast. The Texans scored 29 points, but the defense allowed at a coach quarterback, Anthony Richardson, to have three completions of 50 plus more yards. Richardson had a 60 yard touchdown, which was a thing of beauty. He threw it off his back foot. Oh, Joe. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:56 Why receiver Alex Spears and he slid a 50 and a 54 yard touchdown to Aston Doolin in the fourth quarter. CJ Strive was pressured on 38 percent of his drop back and sack four times. That's something that would have to be fixed. Texas want to keep Stroud healthy throughout the season. Mixon was the best player on the field. He finished with 159 yards rushing and a touchdown. He helped the Texans offense on keep this Texas offense on schedule
Starting point is 00:46:22 when the passing game was a little bit shaky. He played unbelievable. We always thought he was going to be big dip played big dividends because he can run the football and he can catch it out of the backfield. He's a really solid guy. Uh, I think the Bengals are going to miss him. Oh Joe. I understand that, you know, um, salary cap issues, but I like this addition with
Starting point is 00:46:44 him because you got Stroud, you got digs and you saw digs at two, two touchdowns today. You got Nico Collins, you got tank Dale, Dalton Schultz. They're really, really good. They got a great defense, you know, defense, Stingley junior. Uh, they got Will Anderson, Jr. They got some players over there. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:02 Texas, the Texas is going to be good for a minute. They're going to be good for a minute. But I like what, what, what, what did you like? What did you like? What you saw from the Texas? I mean, they show flashes. Tankdale show flashes of brilliance. Diggs showed his flashes and Neco Collins as well.
Starting point is 00:47:19 Obviously the Colts, the Colts, they pressured CJ Shroud so much and made him uncomfortable. You know, we, I didn't, we didn't get to see the CJ Shroud, but we used to seeing to be able to drop back the process, the information, you know, to read, read your, read your, your number one, read your number two, read your number three and be able to make the throws. They always, they always kept, they kept him on the run. Listen, the Colts have a good defense. The Colts have a good defense. And so listen, they, I'm talking about, I'm talking about, I'm getting ready to say the Colts, the goddamn Texans were able to get the win. They have to fix that offensive line. They got to, they have to fix the leaks,
Starting point is 00:47:59 the little leaks in the offensive line that has CJ Shroud running for a damn life. Sometimes other than that, they're going to be fine. Yeah. Um, I like, like I said, the Texas man, they're going to be players. They got a young team. They got a young coach. They believe in him. The city believes in him.
Starting point is 00:48:20 Um, the players believe in that quarterback. They got some receivers. Uh, they got a nice running back with mixing now the offensive line defensively. They're going to be, they're going to be tough. They're going to be tough. Now they need to put this thing together. Oh Joe, cause you know, you saw that now that guy 60 million CJ Strauss is going to be available for a contract extension in another two years. So he'll to get 65 million. Right. Yeah. Probably 65. And he would be. You still got digs digs contract is up after this year. Yeah. You resign him.
Starting point is 00:48:51 They just they just they just gave money to who they think they are. One of the guys just got money. Nico, I don't know if it's Collins or Dale. Probably Nico. Dale is only in his second year. OK. And then guess what? Will Anderson Jr. Yo yeah. Hey. Stingley Jr. Oh Stingley up next. Stingley gonna set the market. At the defensive back position he gonna reset the market.
Starting point is 00:49:21 He nice boy. Stingy nice. Yo, yeah, for sure. He nice. Oh, but I like, look, man, it's early and he didn't get a chance. But when Richardson developed a little more touch and realized that he don't have to throw everything through the eye of a hurricane. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Because he can make every throw. I'm talking about when you say, son, you don't normally want to see a guy throw the ball from one side all the way to the other, but he got more than enough arms.
Starting point is 00:49:50 Oh yeah. Oh man, he's making some throws today. And your big physical kid, they had him stopped on the goal line. He said, man, I'm going to the end zone later for y'all. Get off me. He bulled ass right on the end zone. Don't you?
Starting point is 00:50:05 Big, big dude. Yeah. What is it about six, four by two 50. So big like cam, huh? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You're right. You're right. But man, that's your arm. That's your strong arm.
Starting point is 00:50:21 Yeah, man, man. I like, I like, I like, I like the kid. Like I said, he'll develop some touch as time goes on. But hey, he got some nice receivers. He didn't really, I mean, Pittman, Jumie really didn't get that involved. And, you know, and they, they still got a pair. They got Doolin. They got more Alie Cox. Jonathan Taylor, they did a great job of balling him up. But Richardson has six for 56 on the touchdown.
Starting point is 00:50:49 But they get, they get, they get, they get Jonathan Taylor going. It opens up everything else. The fact that the fact that they wouldn't, they were able to contain Jonathan Taylor and he's, and you still was able to throw no, the two deep passes, one, you slip and still was able to get it out there right in stride in the bread basket goddamn arm strong as hell oh yeah um Richardson only completed nine passes Ocho for 212 yards he was 9 or 19 that's crazy but like I said once he once he
Starting point is 00:51:20 developed a little touch Ocho yeah he, he's gonna be all right. Oh, whoa. Because that kid, hey, that kid got a young man got along. I mean, he can make every throw. Just a little touch. You don't have to throw everything through the eye of a hurricane. You're gonna be fine. I mean, I like him. I like him a lot.
Starting point is 00:51:37 Caleb Williams became the first number one overall quarterback to win his career start since David Carr won way back in the Texas. Yep. Yeah. Uh, come from behind when he was the first to win his debut David Carr in 2002, but he didn't look bad. He didn't look that comfortable. Oh, I mean, they, they, they won the game. He would run around, he would run around for his life too. Now he was running around for his life. If I'm not the field, say, they, they won the game. He was running around, he was running around for his life too now. Yeah. He was running around for his life. If I'm not, I know what that feels like.
Starting point is 00:52:09 Yeah. I, I forgot, I forgot the stat. They didn't. Well, I don't think he had a hundred yards passing. He didn't, he didn't have a, he didn't throw a touchdown. Yeah. He was 14 or 29 for 93 yards. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:25 Uh, they got a block point for touchdown. They got a pick throw a touchdown. He was 14 or 29 for 93 yards. Yeah. They got a block point for a touchdown. They got a pick six for a touchdown. And they got another, they got another turtle. Will Leavis through. He shouldn't have done that. How many times you heard me say- Don't make a bad play worse. Take the sack, son.
Starting point is 00:52:43 Yeah, he was trying to make that day. He made it happen for the bears. You see that what he wanted. You say he wanted. He tried to make something happen. He made it happen. Yeah. Bears.
Starting point is 00:52:52 Yeah. He wanted that. He wanted that. Uh, the bears won the game despite generating 148 yards of total offense special team. They had three field goals by Cairo Santos, a block punt, uh, that safety Jonathan Owens and a pick six. Look, he won. Um, I think Kyle Murray in his rookie season, I think he tied in 20, I
Starting point is 00:53:22 was a 2019, 2019, I think 2019, 2020 when they tied, uh, I think they tied in 20, whether 2019, 2019, I think 2019, 2020, when they tied, I think they tied Detroit. But all the rest of the number one overall picks quarterbacks have lost in between 20, 2002 and 2024 and Caleb Williams and David Carr were the only two to win. Number one overall draft pick. Yeah. Um, so give, give him credit for that. They were able to pull this off.
Starting point is 00:53:48 Chicago's defense looked really, really good. Very. That defense looked really, really good. You know, he missed Keenan Allen. He had Keenan Allen poor touchdown. He overshot Keenan Allen, Kaden Williams there. Keenan Allen dropped one too now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:04 Look, out right in the end zone. But they'll get it fixed. They'll get that comfortable. And Kaleb Williams wins his debut. I'm Keri Champion, and this is season four of Naked Sports, where we live at the intersection of sports and culture. Up first, I explore the making of a rivalry, Kaitlyn Clark versus Angel Reese.
Starting point is 00:58:57 I know I'll go down to history. People are talking about women's basketball just because of one single game. Every great player needs a foil. I ain't really in here them boys. I just come here to play basketball every single day, and that's what I focus on. From college to the pros,
Starting point is 00:59:08 Clark and Reese have changed the way we consume women's sports. Angel Reese is a joy to watch. She is braggadocious. She is unapologetically black. I love her. What exactly ignited this fire? Why has it been so good for the game? And can the fanfare surrounding these two
Starting point is 00:59:27 supernovas be sustained? This game is only going to get better because the talent is getting better. Listen to the making of a rivalry, Caitlin Clark versus Angel Reese, on the iHeart radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Oh Joe, three years after Kendrick Lamar guessed it during the Dr. Dre Super Bowl halftime performance, he'll headline his own halftime show at Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans. Rap music is the most impactful genre today. And I'll be there to remind the worldwide,
Starting point is 01:00:06 Lamar said in the statement, they got the right one. How they not at, Lil Wayne got a hat. Look, congratulations, Kendrick. Congratulations, listen, congratulations, Kendrick. Hey, a phenomenal talent. But how you in New Orleans, and don't have We don't have weasel. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:26 I don't understand it. I don't understand it at all. Um, when it comes to people that headline the Superbowl, I always think about who has the visibility and can, can, can be relatable to all demographics that are going to be watching, um, and that first thing I thought was, well, listen, is in New Orleans, I mean, a no brainer from a business standpoint, look, Wayne, it just made sense. So, I mean, Kendrick Lamar based on what he's done, his accolades and, and him
Starting point is 01:00:59 being on the run that, you know, he's been on this year, I kind of understand it. I get it. I get it. And I think, I think Kendrick, Kendrick Lamar will probably do right and have a feature or have Lil Wayne as well. I'm thinking, I mean, I'm just throwing it out there. But you got it.
Starting point is 01:01:15 You got it. Look, come on, Ocho. It's just like, how are you going to come to LA and not have Snoop DLWG? Right. How are you going to come and you don't have Dre? Right. And so, I mean, they had Mary J. Blige up there.
Starting point is 01:01:27 She thought it had him, but you can't come to New Orleans. Yeah. A lot of people say, look, no matter what you think, the way and probably he'll top five. He is my top five. Yeah. A lot of people got him as the goat. And for him not look, I don't look at, you know, a lot of people
Starting point is 01:01:45 obviously were Jay Z responsible dance because they, you know, they allow Jay Z to pick like who's gonna be there. But Lil Wayne got to be there in some capacity. Right. Now, whether or not he excited, you know, he gotta be, he gotta be Ocho. Yeah. Does Jay Z have anything to do with that? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:05 Hey, I didn't know that, I didn't know that. I know that. Damn, I didn't even know that. Man, I feel bad because I know he wanted it, too. Oh, yeah. I have a spoken to. I'm just saying I'm just I'm just talking like, knowing a little bit what I used to see him a lot more, you should talk to him a lot more when I was at FF one. Yeah. Um, don't really talk to him that much now, but I know that would
Starting point is 01:02:31 have meant the world to him. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That would have been the world to the halftime show. Yeah. To have that kind of eye, that kind of visibility at home, at home at that? Yeah. At home. Damn. So. All right, Ocho, now it's time. One of these days we gonna get back to Spill O' Cinco and dunk them up.
Starting point is 01:02:59 It's gonna be hard, it's gonna be hard, it's gonna be hard to get there. I say tomorrow. Tomorrow we gonna get there because we only got one game, Ocho. Okay, okay. We only got one game. We had, you know, we will get there because we only got one game on Joe. OK, we only got one game. We had, you know, we had we had so much going on today. Yeah. With that contract with a
Starting point is 01:03:10 with Tyreek situation. So we had a lot going on. And plus, it's open on Sunday. And so we want to try to cover and we covered a lot. We got who we call we call Buffalo, Arizona. We got New England, Cincinnati, Minnesota. So we covered I mean, think about it. We got one to we covered all the two games on Sunday slate.
Starting point is 01:03:30 And we spent time talking about, uh, Tyree incident. Yeah. We spent time talking about the dad contract. And so we try, we try to cover as much as we possibly can. And so there are going to be times that we're not going to be able to get to, uh, you know, get to our normal, you know, where we do, you know, hunk and spell Ocinto and, uh, we to get to everything you know get to our normal you know where we do dunkle the hunk and spell O'Cynko and uh uh we're gonna get back you know I don't know how we will get back we might have to call some have some call in for sex next but uh you
Starting point is 01:03:53 know we're gonna get back get back to get back to some of our old segments on Joe you know we can't we can't told you can't abandon him you can't can't abandon we can't abandon what what what got us to where we got to so now it's time for our last segment of the night to so now it's time for our last Segment of the night ladies and gentlemen is time for Q&A Q&A Antoine Brown say y'all know I'm the perfectionist and ain't putting up with no BS the internet need to hush up on grown folks business They got this we love them together not apart. We're gonna be together yeah but but but don't you but like I said I'll show know what we're
Starting point is 01:04:30 trying to go with this we go and we go we don't get there now you don't get that now listen I might I might be a little late every so often but we don't get you a little bit to be late you're gonna be able to let me get picked up by network oh we know that you to my if you able to be late if we get picked up by a network. Oh, we, no, you talking about if. You talking about when. Now listen, when we get picked up by a network, I'm gonna relocate where that network is. You ain't know that.
Starting point is 01:04:54 I'm gonna stay there. Okay, that between you and real. Huh? That between you and real. Oh, we still beefing, we good, we good. No, but I, look, I think the thing is that when people, Oh, we still beefing. We good. We good. No, but I look, I think the thing is that when people, you know, people like, oh, that's just a YouTube show. That's how you see it. That's not how we see ourselves. So much more than that. That's not how we see ourselves. Uh, and so,
Starting point is 01:05:20 uh, so we appreciate the support. Antoine Craig Slaughter, continuous effort, not strength or intelligence is the key to unlocking our potential. Haters waiting on your failure like men at a brothel. True. I mean, we look, everybody's not happy for us, Ocho. We know it. We kind of popped up out of nowhere. Nobody saw this coming. You know, I had a club, Shae Shae was doing really, really well. Um, um, but cat Williams took me to another level and you know, a lot of things they see the commercials. We have major, major sponsors now. Oh, everybody happy. Everybody happy about that. Oh, Joe, everybody's not happy.
Starting point is 01:05:59 Look at that. Listen, everybody. Oh man, y'all do a good, but y'all all try, try to undermine one thing about it. Well, God, God for you do good. But y'all all try to undermine one thing about it. Well, God, God, for you, can't nobody take that away. They can't. Can't nobody take that away. You can hate all you want. You can say what you want. You can't take that away. No, no. Shout out. Guys, if you haven't watched it,
Starting point is 01:06:20 Marlon Wayans podcast is up right now doing unbelievable number. It was a great sit down to hear him talk about his journey, his family's journey, in living color, things they're doing. It's great. Appreciate that Marlon, the sit down, been trying to put this thing together. I had reached out to him probably about two and a half years ago. And he said, bro, I ain't really got nothing to talk about. He said, but when I have something to talk about, I'm going to come sit down with you.
Starting point is 01:06:45 And so I appreciate the sit down Marlon. Um, I think he has a comedy, a comedy thing coming out here. Um, but I'm going to make sure I get that posted when I, when I find out more information on that. So appreciate you guys for supporting that. You guys have been unbelievable with the views, uh, the retweets and things of that nature. But again, thank you, Marlon, for that.
Starting point is 01:07:03 Uh, Lainey Ray. Hold up, you mean to tell me you were here tonight, Lainey? Cause you know, the other night, Ocho, she was out by the jukebox. Yeah, she was at the bar, she was at the bar. Yeah, yeah. Getting a little drink, getting a little drinky drink. Lainey Ray said, hey guys,
Starting point is 01:07:18 which team or game surprised you the most today, good or bad? Surprise, surprise, surprise, surprise, surprise. Um, surprise, surprise, surprise. Well, listen, I, I, it wasn't even a surprise. I had the bangles of wind, but we start out. Oh, oh, and one, we start out on one out the gate. We start out, oh, and two out the gate, but we're going to be the chiefs. Um, there, there wasn't no surprises really.
Starting point is 01:07:43 Me. It was, it was, it wasn't. is really. Me, it was, it was, it wasn't. I think I was more surprised by how thoroughly New England dominated Cincinnati. Yeah, especially on the ground, man. They ran down our throat. I'm like, what, man, what's up? I didn't inherit.
Starting point is 01:07:57 And also, I didn't at no point in time. Once that good with a tight end, try to get up, get to the end zone and get old. I punched it out. You know, punch it. Yeah. point in time, once that, with a tight end, tried to get to the end zone and got old guy punched it out. You know, punched it. Yeah. At no point in time after that, did I think Cincinnati was going to win that game? I didn't.
Starting point is 01:08:13 Damn. They did, they did an unbelievable job. So that's why I, that's what I would have to go. Glad you're back Laney. Stay away from the bar. Dr. Frank L Bellamy said, who's got a tougher challenge, a high powered offense facing a stingy defense or a struggling defense trying to stop
Starting point is 01:08:31 a red hot quarterback? The struggling defense trying to stop a red hot quarterback. And he gonna probably like that you know what up. Completely. Yeah, yeah doc look look high powered offense. Look, a great throw going to be the great coverage. Um, but if you struggling defensively and you got a red hot quarterback, you get you, you best running and run up against a Patrick Mahomes, a guy that could
Starting point is 01:08:57 spend the ball. Yeah. Well, you're going to be able to be here. Can be here for you. It's going to be hell. Going to be hell for you. Karen G. Ocho, please start with referring to a great defense play as a snooze fest.
Starting point is 01:09:15 We understand you played office, but some of us appreciate great defense. Right. But when you have great defense for a fan that loves the game of football, it's a snooze fest. And that's what it is. With all due respect, when you have two teams that are playing great defense, like we saw tonight, the first and second quarter of the Rams and Lions game,
Starting point is 01:09:36 it was a snooze fest until things open up offensively for both teams. I'm just being honest. Just being honest. You want, you like, you're the guy that want to go to the baseball game. You don't want to see a two, a two one game. You want to see nine eight. Yeah. You want to see 10 11. You go to a basketball game. You want to see one 25 to one 28.
Starting point is 01:09:56 Now you see, you remember, you see how I went to go watch the 76ers play and just so happened to game I went to and B drop 70 and I came on a show, goddamn excited. What's the chances of me seeing that again? Well, the chance of me seeing 70 again, ain't, ain't, ain't good. I ain't been to a basketball game since. Yeah. I mean, you got to think about throughout history, there's only probably
Starting point is 01:10:19 been about 12 of those and the NBA like 77, 78 years of age. So you see one probably what? Twelve and so probably one every six years. I mean, you see more. Devin Booker has a 70. Dame has a 70. Luca has a 70. Yeah, Joel has a 70.
Starting point is 01:10:40 So you've probably seen four 70 point games in the past five years. Then you saw in the previous 30 years. That just, that's just the way it is. Cameron know what you and you who is rookie of the year. Uh, who is this? This year's class will have a breakout season. Who in this year, who in this rookie in this year's class will have a breakout season like Brock Purdy did? Breakout season
Starting point is 01:11:09 Rookie, I guess he's talking about I guess he didn't mention quarterback, but he just mentioned Purdy Well, I guess he's thinking about who's going to be like who have a breakout season like Purdy But Purdy breakout season was two years ago. Yeah, so who's gonna have that breakout type of season? Damn But Purdy breakout season was two years ago. Yeah. So who's going to have that breakout type of season? Dan. I don't think in the quarterbacks, no, because ain't no quarter quarterback went to a team like what France, San Francisco had. Think about what San Francisco had. They had Debo, they had you. They had a powerful running game.
Starting point is 01:11:42 Williams, they had a kid. game. They had a kiddo. Yeah. So Jennings. So the likelihood of somebody having that outstanding defense to support that Kemper, that's a, that's a good question, man. I really don't know. Cause I don't really see, uh, as far as quarterback, I don't know who has that kind of supporting cast around them to be able to, to, to be able to do that. Um, I'm trying to think running back,
Starting point is 01:12:16 maybe Jayden, maybe Jayden Daniels or a K. Well, Jay Daniel. Yeah. But the thing is you could, you see that he long will be able to do so much. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, he, they don't able to do so much. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, he, they don't have an offensive line with the 49ers guy. Well, they had, they had trip Williams. They let him go. True.
Starting point is 01:12:35 Well, he was, he was done with them after they did what they did to him after, uh, who you stone was the guy named Dan Snyder after they did what they did to him. He wasn't playing there. No, it was a rapper. And plus, you know, him, he wasn't playing there no more. He was a rapper. And plus, you know, Kyle was there. He was there with Kyle. He knew Kyle. Oh, so he just made that machine. Can you imagine? You know who tried to get him?
Starting point is 01:12:52 Who? In the city. Can you imagine Trent? Who? That wouldn't be Phil. That wouldn't be Phil. That wouldn't be Phil. So, Stephanie Warfield said, who you rooting for in the Southern Classic, Tennessee State or Arkansas Pinebuck?
Starting point is 01:13:12 I got to go with my Golden Lions also. Have you considered an HBC football schedule where you feature one or two schools per segment? We have, but we got some, listen, we got some stuff in the works. We're Troy, we're working with a couple of sponsors. Uh, I don't want to give too much away cause I want somebody to steal our idea. Oh Joe. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But I've got to talk to you about it off the, uh, off, off camera, but we got some things in the works. Stephanie trust, trust me, take my word for it. Uh,

I mean, to get back into the swing of things, to know the beat and the caters of football, um, Monday and then we, you know, we got a couple of days off. I don't cause I got, I got the first take on cadence of football. Monday, then we know we got a couple days off. I don't, because I got the first take on Monday, Tuesday.

Nah, we switched it. We rehearsal on Tuesday. We go in studio. We go live on Wednesday, not live, but pre record on Wednesday.
Starting point is 01:16:09 Then it, then it air. It ends on Wednesday or Friday? Friday, Friday at nine o'clock. Okay. Yes. Okay. So I only, I only got one free day out of the week. I got 30.
