Starting point is 00:03:03 Dak's not trying to be the highest paid quarterback in his next contract. Let's take a listen to what Dak had to say in regards to his next contract. Yeah, no, I'm not trying to be the highest paid necessarily. So I'll wait until negotiations begin. And I obviously want to put this team in the best situation. Have your feelings changed at all about your desire to be wanting to be in Dallas past 2025? No, I'm focused on here right now.
Starting point is 00:03:32 Where I am, that's always how I've been. Anytime you'll ask me, it's always been about right now, getting better tomorrow. And I've been in this situation before, so it's okay. I'm fine. And in any situation at that point, betting on myself or playing this year out. And yeah. Key words. Key words I heard from that. Betting on myself.
Starting point is 00:03:56 I like that. Betting on myself. Listen, if I'm Dak, if I'm Dak, Dak, I know you're going to see this. I love you, baby. Holla at your boy. Anyway, if I was you, I would take take the kirk cousins route and bet on myself that's something kirk has been doing for how long when he was with when he was with uh the commander what'd he do hey yeah he got two he got two i understand that but also i'm betting on myself tags went to minnesota got three years fully guaranteed you know what then got another three years this is back last year fully guaranteed. You know what? Then got another three years fully guaranteed.
Starting point is 00:04:26 This is Dak's last year, right? You know what I would do, honestly? Yeah, this is Dak's last year. I wouldn't even want no deal. I wouldn't even want no deal. I'm going to bet on myself. Because listen, it don't take all this time for no other quarterbacks when it's time to get paid.
Starting point is 00:04:43 And understanding what you have there are no other options right now for the cowboys he is a few is he the future or is he not there's nothing to be negotiating about the numbers are the numbers the market is the market it ain't shit to talk about so that's how y'all feel is that how y'all feel we we want to prolong everything you know what if i was that i say you know what i tell my agent but don't worry about it. I'm finna bet on myself. And after this season, man, go ahead and break the bank somewhere. Go ahead and break the bank. I know you want to say all the right things. I don't want to be the highest paid. I understand what you mean. Listen, everything you're going to say right now is politically
Starting point is 00:05:23 correct. I'm just saying what I would do and I would like you to do, I would like going to say right now is politically correct i'm just saying what i would do and i would like you to do right i would like you to say you know what i'm not going to play the game that they want to play over at jerry's world i'm going to play my last contract out play the season out and go elsewhere and break the bank for me, I get what you're saying, Ocho. It all depends on how close to the number that I can tolerate. Let's just say, Ocho, I want $50 million a year.
Starting point is 00:05:56 I won't, hey, they say, you know what, Shannon? Okay, Ocho, you want $50 million a year. Five-year deal. We can only get to 46. So tell me, what can't you do with 230 million?
Starting point is 00:06:12 I like when you put it like that, you make sense. When you put it like that, you make sense. Because if you blow 250, you go blow 230. Oh, yeah. If you blow 230, you go blow 250 you go blow 230 oh yeah if you blow 230 you go blow 250
Starting point is 00:06:26 so that's that's the thing how close are the number can they get to that i can say you know what i can live with it because the even swamp ain't no swindle both people got to feel like they're getting screwed right right in order in order for it to be a good deal, Ocho, because if you feel like, if the team feel like you got over them, they're going to have resentment. If you feel the team got over on you, you're going to have resentment. So both teams,
Starting point is 00:06:56 both parties need to feel like they got screwed over in order for it to be like, damn, he got me. Damn, man, they got me, man. Damn. I don't know. I just don't like the way they play. You know, I love the game of football.
Starting point is 00:07:13 I love the Dallas Cowboys. I love the Dallas fans. I love the players that are in Dallas. I just don't like the way it's run as a circus by the individual who is the ringleader. That's all and i mean no disrespect by that and especially when it comes tight when it comes to the position the quarterback position there's one thing you don't do is you don't play with them you make sure you take care of them first so there's no uncertainty and so they know that they're all in on you as the future and the quarterback of that team i mean man don't don't
Starting point is 00:07:49 get man they playing they're playing games see the problem oh oh here's the problem that i have is that everybody holds that for me and you know hey look i i don't pull any punches i hold everybody accountable but you know it seems to be't pull any punches I hold everybody accountable but you know it seems to be that people only hear what I heard I hold certain people accountable you can't say well paying Dak all that money and it hadn't won us anything
Starting point is 00:08:15 you played a lot of quarterbacks a lot of money so if you really look at in that turn the only person that deserved to be paid in is Patrick Mahomes so if we're just looking at quarterbacks paid and that have won something, only Patrick Mahomes is deserving of that. So you can't say, well, we paid Dak all that money and he ain't won nothing. Man, they done paid Kirk Cousins a trillion dollars.
Starting point is 00:08:38 They paid Josh Allen a ton of money. They paid a lot of quarterbacks. So that's my only argument. And yeah, you owe Big Buck big expectations. There's a reason why CEOs make the money they make because they have a harder job than everybody else. So the quarterback has a more difficult job. You could understand why he makes the most. I'm not saying,
Starting point is 00:09:07 I'm not, no, look, I'm not saying just because he's a quarterback, he should make, if he terrible, he should make more than a quarterback. That's better than him.
Starting point is 00:09:14 Or he should make more than a defensive line, but an offensive line. But, but I'm saying in this situation, I think everybody in the chat understand what we're talking about. We're talking about these elite level quarterbacks. And look, whether you think Dak is elite or or not he's paid like an elite level quarterback i mean we throw that term elite around too loosely because i remember when i got to league
Starting point is 00:09:33 they didn't wasn't talking about a guy a guy you know won four or five games in a row what nobody shouting elite right what nobody's shouting elite you know you have a handful of guys you had the elways you had the montanas you had the marinos there was a handful of guys that got that label elite now guy with a guy win 10 games he elite huh so with no pro bowlsls no MVPs no suit so okay yeah I mean the criteria changes depending on who you're asking
Starting point is 00:10:09 and who the player is being talked about but again when it comes to Dak if I was you I'm betting on myself I'm betting on myself you know what
Starting point is 00:10:19 I ain't even you know what forget negotiations I'm going in this year just focus on focus on C.D. Lamb focus on C.D. Lamb. Focus on C.D. Lamb. Focus on Micah Parsons.
Starting point is 00:10:32 They got five years $230 million right now. With $120 fully guaranteed. You say, no, I'm going to bet on myself. Let's give Dak $250. $250 give Dak three years. Let's give Dak three years, 250. With 130 guaranteed.
Starting point is 00:10:54 Bro, they're not giving no Dak no $82 million a year. You got your damn mind? I ain't think that went through. Hey, I'm just trying. Hey, listen. I'm trying to get my dog as much money as possible hey listen from my mouth to god ears oh hey oh joe you do oh joe you do realize yeah 46 million over five years. Yeah, I like it. I just don't think...
Starting point is 00:11:27 You know... No, I just... I don't think that's enough money for Dak. Can I tell you why? I don't think it's enough money for Dak because there isn't an amount of money that Dak can be paid from Jerry Jones based on the type of shit he got to deal with
Starting point is 00:11:42 with that organization. What he got to deal with with that that organization, what he got deal with, with that owner, always in front of the camera, all the unwanted, all the unneeded pressure coming from the owner. He needs every bit of dollar based on what he has to deal with when he's under that umbrella, everything that has to do with the Dallas Cowboys and that star.
Starting point is 00:12:03 He needs to be calm. He needs to be compensated as such. You need therapy to play for the Cowboys and that star. He needs to be calm. He needs to be compensated as such. You need therapy to play for the Cowboys. You need counseling to play for the Cowboys. The fans need counseling and therapy because they always, always are promised things and it never happens. No, I need therapy for dealing with them.
Starting point is 00:12:24 This is our year. They went two or three games they'd be all in the chat we them boy how you like us now you ain't talking now oh what you say that's it okay just yeah yeah give it time just give it time you already know what's gonna happen you you you already know if i see this you're different yeah even on even on the network i'm on oh this year just seems different. They're more complete team. You say this every year. I've seen them when they've had 12 pro bowlers.
Starting point is 00:12:51 I've seen it when they've had all pros at this. I mean, think about it. They had an all pro guard, a guard, a all pro, two all pro guard, a all pro tackle, all pro wide receiver, all pro quarterback, all pro quarterback. Yeah. But now how much more you got? How much more you need?
Starting point is 00:13:10 People say, people love to say, oh, Dak is overrated. Or people love to say, Dak isn't worth this. Well, tell me the quarterbacks that are. Look at the landscape of the league. You're worth what somebody's willing to pay. Look at the quarterbacks that are continuously winning year in and year out. And tell me why Dak is not worthy. Because only one team won the Super Bowl at the end of the year.
Starting point is 00:13:34 Only one team. And there's a small amount of quarterbacks that have their team to contention year in and year out. A very small amount. So tell me why Dak is not worthy. Because there's nobody else that you can take from another team and put them on the Cowboys.
Starting point is 00:13:54 I'm not talking about the main starters. You're not moving Patrick Mahomes. You're not moving Josh Allen. You're not moving Lamar Jackson. You're not removing Josh Allen. You know what I mean? So tell me who else you would pick and put him in the Cowboys position
Starting point is 00:14:09 at the quarterback position, and you would still get the same results. See, here's the thing, though, Pocho. And what we have to be careful of is saying worth. Because how many times, like, man, that car ain't worth that. Well, somebody paid three million dollars for that car. So clearly it was worth it. Man, I wouldn't pay no 20, you know, 50 million for no house.
Starting point is 00:14:36 Clearly somebody paid that for it. So it was worth it. Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. You can say I'm worth this all you want to but if nobody's willing to pay you that salary you're not worth it i know my worth what is your worth what is somebody willing to pay you for that you hear that all the time i know my value yeah who determined okay you you're gonna pay yourself yeah so while you're doing all this i know my worth i know my value if somebody doesn't pay you that i like i like that you said
Starting point is 00:15:11 it because that's that's another one i'm off topic just a little bit when yeah the women women love that i know you love that i know my value what is that value in general that's a great topic for another day we're I'm the prize I'm the prize let me ask you a question though Joe when they tell you I'm the prize I'm the prize well who the collector come on Preacher
Starting point is 00:15:37 who won the prize you keep telling me you the prize well guess what right there I see you still sitting on the shelf. Ain't nobody purchased it yet. Why you bumping your gums? Huh? Right, right, right. I mean, in order for it to be a prize, somebody has to be willing to win it,
Starting point is 00:15:54 right? Somebody, you know, the lottery, the big game, Mega Man, Fantasy 5, Cash 4. Yes, sir. You know, I mean, normally, I'm playing like okay you the prize okay so is anybody ever gonna win it or does anybody
Starting point is 00:16:10 try to win it come on or does anybody want it oh because there are a lot of times they're prizes I don't even want that yeah I just thought about it because I see it all the time I see it all the time I just like the wording.
Starting point is 00:16:25 And then when you said, well, somebody has to be willing to pay what their value is because you can't determine what the value is yourself. You can't do that. Yes. Okay.
Starting point is 00:16:36 Right. And that's what it looks. I understand. And so me, this is what I like about what the platforms that we have because we get determined our worth. But I got tired of being viewed as talent. I take a check. I move it along.
Starting point is 00:16:56 And within that scheme, I can only get what I'm entitled to, what I signed for. what I'm entitled to, what I signed for. But in this, I can create as many shows as I possibly can that the viewing audience, that the listening audience like. I like it.
Starting point is 00:17:11 And then I get to determine that work. Because the more shows you have, the more shows people like, they're going to view it, advertise, the sponsor's going to come. So y'all need to stop talking about, oh, I'm worth this. Not if somebody
Starting point is 00:17:27 won't buy you a Birkin. Not if somebody won't buy you a house or a condo or a car. You're not worth that. You're only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. So, I don't care because you hear that all the time. I was at a guy's house about six months ago.
Starting point is 00:17:43 Probably about six months ago. Probably conservative. Having a conversation with him. He walked in. He saw the house. What? 80 million. 80 million.
Starting point is 00:18:00 And got him up out of there. He said, don't take anything. 80? 80. and got him up out of there. He said, don't take anything. 80? 80! Shit! Beautiful. Told me I could get it. I told him I could get it for the weekend if I need it.
Starting point is 00:18:16 I said, you know what? I said, but man, ain't nobody. I ain't ain't. She got to be an angel. Sit down from the heavens above to come up in here. I wouldn't the heavens above to come up in here. I wouldn't even think about bringing somebody up in here. Ain't it?
Starting point is 00:18:31 Hit a button and the whole side of the house goes into the floor. You overlooking. I can damn near see San Francisco. That got to be somebody. Infinity. When Buzz Lightyear said infinity and beyond, he's talking about the pool.
Starting point is 00:18:48 On an infinity and beyond Olympic-sized pool, This got to be somebody in tech, huh? They got to be somebody in tech. Man, stop it. Look here. All I heard you say, if you need it, just let me, give me the heads up. Hey, really? Listen, do you know the kind of money you got to be making all I heard he say if you need it just let me give me the heads up hey really
Starting point is 00:19:05 do you know the kind of money you gotta be making to buy an 80 million dollar house that's CEOs that's the owner of something 80 million shh tell them to leave it
Starting point is 00:19:24 that's real sporty too that's that as is that's that slick talk that's that slick talk just to close on your back and redo it and redo everything anyway but I was like man please so that's what you know I heard
Starting point is 00:19:42 a guy had a bunch of money. He's probably worth probably $7 billion. Oh, yeah. And to hear them talk the way they talk. And he said, Shannon, I don't need any more money, but I don't need any less either. He says, I have something in this position that I'm in that most people will never have. I said, what's that?
Starting point is 00:20:10 He said, enough. Oh, yeah. When people say I got that F you money. Yeah. When you start getting into the billion, start getting three four five six fifty a hundred but at that point in time what do you buy that you I mean
Starting point is 00:20:33 if you spend a thousand dollars a day if you started spending it before Christ you couldn't spend it all in a lifetime so at what point in time do you like okay I want a car okay you got the most expensive car now what well I want a car. Okay. You got the most expensive car. Now what? Well, I want a house over here, over there, over there. Now what?
Starting point is 00:20:49 You just run out of stuff to buy. So for me, like, that's what made me change. Like worth, worth, worth. And I was, I was, I was a, I was a big proponent of that, man. I'm worth this or that person ain't worth that. Well, somebody paid that person that. So, clearly they thought they was worth it. Just because I don't, that doesn't
Starting point is 00:21:11 mean somebody else won't. Same way. Because, you know, we all be there, Ocho. You ain't going to find nobody. Hey, women, don't y'all believe that? Don't y'all believe nobody? Hey, ain't nobody. Hey, nobody. Whatever. Just like when y'all believe that don't y'all believe nobody hey oh yeah ain't nobody ain't nobody whatever just like what y'all told me ain't nobody gonna want me get me somebody women there will always be a man that's willing there will always be a man that's
Starting point is 00:21:37 willing to do what you want now you might not get everything you want depending on the type of man you want but there will always be a man that is willing now you think you're gonna get you one of these one percenters and you know he's gonna sweep you off your feet you're not gonna have to walk you know work a day in your life like they do in the movies nah that ain't likely i mean that ain't that ain't that ain't likely you got you gotta be but there's always there will always be a man. Women love to say, I deserve.
Starting point is 00:22:08 Yes, you do. Yes, you do. You do. All of you deserve, but you also have to be realistic. Yeah, but you got to stop that. I deserve to be happy. A man can't make you happy.
Starting point is 00:22:21 Yeah, that starts from within. Happiness is what you create. That ain't what you find. They always equate happiness to the materialist possessions that they are able to receive. Every time. Shit.
Starting point is 00:22:37 Oh, yeah, my bad, my bad. I just heard the word value. When you talk about value, it triggers something. It just triggers something. So I just... Hey, y'all need to start with this foolishness. Talking about, oh, elite prize fighters
Starting point is 00:22:54 don't care about belts. That's how you're judged. They say elite prize fighters? I've never heard an elite fighter in general say that. You know what? People say when people don't care about championships and stuff like that, ain't never won nothing. Yeah, but you...
Starting point is 00:23:15 They ain't never won anything. Because what do you... That's like I'm a jockey. And I said, well, I don't care about winning the Kentucky Derby. I don't care about winning the Preakness or the Triple Crown or the Santa Anita. I don't care about winning the Kentucky Derby. I don't care about winning the Preakness or the Triple Crown or the Santa Anita. I don't care about winning the Breeders' Cup. Then what the hell are you a jockey for? Chad, correct me if I'm wrong,
Starting point is 00:23:32 but the belts do matter because as you continue to attain different belts, if I'm not mistaken, doesn't that give you the leverage to command the kind of money you want yeah i i thought that's how it works so i'm not yes yes a person that don't have no belts don't get to don't
Starting point is 00:23:52 get to don't get to control anything now maybe somebody says you know what i want to take the fight just because oh yeah but floyd got everything that he wanted because he had the belt picking chanelo gets to fight who he wants Canelo commands 40 million at the gate that's before pay per view man so what guy that don't have a belt can command 40 million
Starting point is 00:24:18 tell me the fighter that can command the purse that the granted now when Tyson got out yeah but there's only been one Mike Tyson man the purse that the granted now when Tyson got out yeah but there's only been one Mike Tyson there's only been one him 40 million out the gate that's before pay-per-view
Starting point is 00:24:34 so without a belt in fighting how can you there's a reason why now look at most sports now you get outliers like Conor McGregor but Conor say if you think about all the guys because normally
Starting point is 00:24:52 it takes a person that became a fighter kind of down on their luck kind of downtrodden you had the hard upbringing it's like yeah I want to make a way but I want to be a champion that's how to be a champion. That's how you remembered
Starting point is 00:25:07 a champion. That's why they have belts. If belts didn't matter, they wouldn't have one, would they? Think about it. Name something that you compete in that's a sport that you don't get to get a trophy or a belt. Cornhole, they give you a belt. You win a Formula One,
Starting point is 00:25:24 they give you something. So now, all of a sudden, the highest prize that's in your sport, it don't matter. They just talking. See, that just goes to show you. They just talking. I'm just glad. Hopefully, I never played with people like that. I remember when I used to train, when I would go back home, and guys were like, man, what you train at?
Starting point is 00:25:45 I would tell them what time you train. I would tell them and they didn't show up. I'm like, they ain't on my team. I don't care. Right.
Starting point is 00:25:53 I'm telling what I'm doing. I'm running myself into exhaustion. Oh, man. Hey, how many you got today? We got 20. We got 21 teams. Oh, we got 15, 150 15 150 or we got jumbos
Starting point is 00:26:07 three fours three threes three twos three 150s 300 oh man hey i'm gonna finish mine oh oh so i finished i finished i we i won okay today we got 30 i did 31 10 i did I did the last 10 by myself on time too right yeah oh how many minutes you rested between you remember or no 45
Starting point is 00:26:39 I started out I started out with 45 and then the last 10 yeah I needed a minute I started out with 45 and then the last 10. Yeah. That last 10, I needed a minute. That's good. Hey, that's good conditioning right there.
Starting point is 00:26:52 That thing come quick. Because see, that's a joke. Because discipline requires you to do your very best when no one else is watching. When they left, I could have like, hell, ain't nobody else out here here i could have just told him i did it but i would have known and so now i'm late in the third or the fourth quarter i'm wondering why i can't dig down and get it don't be mad at the results you didn't get for the work you didn't put in see that's what people do yeah i don't know why. What about that work? Did you put the work in? Did you put the time in? Did you put the energy in? Did you put the effort in? Everybody wants something for nothing. Everybody want to go to heaven, don't you? Nobody wants dead. teachers are you can't come in here unless you go through that process so now i ask you this when you write down your goals and everybody normally write down goals now do you write so in the left column you're writing down your goals in the right column do you write down what
Starting point is 00:27:58 you're willing to sacrifice to get it right see everybody will tell you what they won't but who will tell you what they'll do to get it oh i wouldn't do that you don't deserve it you don't want it bad enough you see you haven't earned it everybody writes down their goals in the left but in the right column do you write down what you're willing to sacrifice to get it no and then when you don't well he messed over me or they don't like me on the job or this happened or that happened yeah okay okay you one of those everything you you have to be the most unluckiest person in the world because from the time you were three years old you gave me an excuse for why but can you give me one reason why not no man stop it y'all that's that's the problem oh joe everybody see for me man? Yeah. Because I want to be the best.
Starting point is 00:29:07 I don't think me, I'm better than anybody. I think I'm better at what I do because I know what I'm willing to do to get. I know the sacrifices and I ain't got no problem. And everybody that's in my life understands it. And if you don't, oh, well, life.
Starting point is 00:29:31 Okay. I like it. People don't want that. People don't want you to tell people want you to tell them a warm, fuzzy story, which, you know, you did that.
Starting point is 00:29:43 No, no, no, bro. No. Shannon watched his grandparents sacrifice. you to tell him a warm fuzzy story which you know you did that no no no bro no Shannon watched his grandparents sacrifice until you know my grandfather you know my grandfather was feeling feeling
Starting point is 00:29:53 man Ocho you know how you I used to get free lunch but my grandfather all of a sudden he wanted to feel big and bad he won't be we we ain't gonna get no free lunch. Man, that man like to starve me, Ocho. Man,
Starting point is 00:30:11 the 50 cent, you had a 50 cent a day? People like 50 cent. Man, 50 cent was a lot of damn money back in the 70s. Because think about it, 50 cent a day, five days a week,
Starting point is 00:30:21 that's $2.50. Me, my brother and sister, That's $2.50. Me, my brother, and sister. That's $7.50. A week? Times four weeks? Man, hey, you better put that down there. Hey, we ain't got no money. Let me get you free.
Starting point is 00:30:44 And let me pay a nickel for chocolate, extra chocolate milk. Come on, Papa, man, you about to starve me in here. Man, please. But that's what I, a lot of times, like, when I do fireside chats or I do public speaking, that's what I tell people. And I said, okay. When you wanted to achieve something, you said, I
Starting point is 00:31:11 want to do this. But on the other side, did you write down, this is what I'm willing to do to get it. That's called a sacrifice. And the greater the goal, the greater the sacrifice. Always. And the greater the goal, the greater the sacrifice. And nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.
Starting point is 00:31:32 I go to work every day. Not one time. John always asked me all the time. He said, T, how you come to work happy every day? I've never seen you in a bad mood. Same thing at CBS. Same thing at Fox. I was like, bro, do you understand?
Starting point is 00:31:48 I dreamt, I laid in that bed, that ironed ass bed, getting rained on, dreaming of this moment. I'm here. I get to live out my dreams. I get to take care of my family beyond anything I could't even imagine. Man, please.
Starting point is 00:32:10 What is that to be sad about? Ocho. Man, please. Wake up with football every morning and listen to my new podcast, NFL Daily with Greg Rosenthal. Five days a week, you'll get all the latest news, previews, recaps, and analysis delivered straight to your podcast feed

We'll talk every single game, every single week, but I can't do it alone, so I'm bringing in the big guns from NFL media. That's Patrick Claibon, Steve Weiss, Nick Shook, Jordan Rodrigue from The Athletic, and of course, Colleen Wolfe. This is their window right now.
Starting point is 00:32:50 This is their Super Bowl window. Why would they trade him away? Because he would be a pivotal part of them winning that Super Bowl. I don't know why, Colleen. Catch the podcast at NFL Daily with Greg Rosenthal every day. Subscribe today and you'll immediately be smarter and funnier than your friends.
Starting point is 00:33:08 And who doesn't want that? Listen now on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. It was December 2019 when the story blew up. In Green Bay, Wisconsin, former Packers star Kabir Bajabiamila caught up in a bizarre situation. KGB explaining what he believes led to the arrest of his friends at a children's Christmas play. A family man, former NFL player, devout Christian, now cut off from his family and connected to a strange arrest. I am going to share my journey of how I went from Christianity to now a Hebrew Israelite. I got swept up in Kabir's journey.
Starting point is 00:33:49 But this was only the beginning. In a story about faith and football, the search for meaning away from the gridiron and the consequences for everyone involved. You mix homesteading with guns and church and a little bit of the spice of conspiracy theories that we liked. Voila! You got straight away. I felt like I was living in North Korea, but worse, if that's possible. Listen to Spiraled on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you about my podcast. It's called Jimmy's Three Things. Episodes come out every Tuesday, and for about 30 minutes, I dive into three topics in Major League Baseball that I am interested in.
Starting point is 00:34:32 Breaking stories, trends, stats, weird stuff. Sometimes I make up my own stats. Sometimes I do a lot of research, and it ends up I was wrong the whole time. So that's something you can get in on. Use Jimmy's Three Things podcast to stay up to date on Major League Baseball and to make you just a smidge smarter than your friend who's a baseball
Starting point is 00:34:51 fan. You listen to me and then you go tell him, hey, I know this and you don't. So I make you smarter than your friends. That's what Jimmy's Three Things is all about. Listen to Jimmy's Three Things on iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. You can also find it on the Talkin' Baseball YouTube channel,
Starting point is 00:35:11 and new episodes drop every Tuesday. is passed on hosting Saturday Night Live out of fear. After declining a chance to host, Mahomes revealed why he didn't feel ready to accept. I have a little bit of fear of the teleprompter. Mahomes was still scared from a bad experience that he suffered at the Espy's. It's not easy. It's repetition.
Starting point is 00:35:42 And when I went to school, you know, when I went to CBS, I have a very heavy colloquial dialect. If you listen to my brother talk, listen to me talk, you wouldn't know we were brothers because they're like, how can two people raised in the same house speak so differently? And so I went had and i was getting going the lady was coming down from philadelphia working with me every other weekend when i was in new york went out to dallas and talked to people speech um a lot of speeches cadence a lot of speeches like they give you hick tick sick rick stuff like that a lot of alliteration better buy a buick buddy to get you to right speak enunciate your words my problem is is that i go fast and when i go fast my voice
Starting point is 00:36:36 rises so now you hear that high pitch look at that look at that she's she got she got a T-shirt. She got a sweatshirt. Because that's how I am when I get excited. My voice rises now, like when I'm just like talking to you, I have a very, very, very deep voice. But as I get excited, my voice rises and then it's hard for me to enunciate words. It's hard for me, people to understand. And so. for me to enunciate words it's hard for me with people to understand and so man i mean i'm watching inside the nba and i'm looking at charles barkley talk i'm like right you put your words worse than i do man please let me god i'm good i ain't going to no more therapy i ain't going to no more nothing this is who i am yeah i mess up every but you see what you get oh no it's funny depending on
Starting point is 00:37:32 what show i'm on or what camera i'm on i can fact i i flip the script really quick and change the way i talk really fast or when i'm on here i can just be my goddamn self and and then say and say what I want to say. But hey, inside the NFL, I'm going to change it up really quick and talk as professional as possible. And one of the things I have to work on that I have a problem with is I talk so damn fast. I talk so fast and because I'm talking so fast, I'm not thinking out what I want to say. I'm just letting it go and it's just running off. And sometimes I mispronounce words.
Starting point is 00:38:09 I say it wrong because I never slow down. I never slow down. I have to slow down. I need to take classes myself. Right. Well, that's the thing when you read the prompter. The first thing they tell you is that you have more time than you think. Well, that's the thing when you read the prompter.
Starting point is 00:38:24 The first thing they tell you is that you have more time than you think. And I always, anytime that I do ad reads or I have to do something in prompter, I have to always tell myself, Shanna, you got more time than you think. You got more time than you think. You got more time than you think. And so I go through it a couple of times. I read it four or five times. And then you get a cadence of it because you have to realize like when like patrick homes that prompter is at the back of the room and it's it's big now it's big but it's still at the back
Starting point is 00:38:52 of the room now normally when you read ain't nothing moving just your eyes but now as you read that prompter that prompter is moving and what you want to do you feel you need to speed up also so that was the problem that i was running into so for me i'm like hey bro no hey i try to do as little prompt as i ever have as i as i can but here you know what i have ad reads i have ad reads for club shasha i have stuff that i have to do but and then you're like okay you tell yourself okay you got more time to your thing make you know i'll come in here early i read through it get the cadence of it okay yeah but it's not it's not it's not easy it's not easy as opposed to looking at a script and having to memorize it and just say it in my words i prefer having a prompter with the with the script
Starting point is 00:39:45 in there where it sounds like me as opposed to just seeing it on paper and trying to memorize it then regurgitating it out and i mean when i think about my homes and being on snl i don't i don't i don't think that's really not his personality that that's that's that's it just it doesn't fit you know him and who he is, especially right now. I think I think it's too early for him. And they would almost be having to force him to do something that he's uncomfortable with in general outside of just the prompter. Just just the way he is, the way he carries himself. SNL is really not not him.
Starting point is 00:40:19 Now, Peyton Manning, that's him. Travis Kelsey, that's him. It fits their persona. But that's him. Travis Kelsey, that's him. It fits their persona. But see, here's the thing though. See what you just said? That's what you compare it against. Yeah. Yeah. Guys that have done it and have been great at it.
Starting point is 00:40:36 See, I don't like to do things. Most guys that are great at things don't like to do things they're not great at. Yeah. Patrick Mahomes is here. you mean to tell me all of a sudden just reading something in a little monitor right yeah no i'm not good at that bro so i ain't doing it see me i don't like i don't like prompter because i just move see i just like for the this is easy for me i'm barely bear i just look directly into the camera. Camera find me. I'm talking, I'm having a conversation. So when I'm at a podium, I'm just having a conversation. I'm talking to somebody. I look out in the crowd. I move up and down, but I'm not, I'm not really looking into it. I'm not, unless I'm talking directly to you. Or if I'm looking,
Starting point is 00:41:25 I'm talking directly, but for the most part, follow me. I'm having a conversation. We're in the barbershop. I mean, we're in the barbershop, but we're talking to people. We ain't looking directly at that person. We're talking. Yo. Check this out, Ocho. Jim
Starting point is 00:41:43 Brent Beach is the latest member of the Chiefs to back Kadarius Toney. Beach said, Kadarius Toney problem. He is. It's probably our most talented wire, though. Says it's just a matter of him staying healthy, and I don't think we've ever stopped believing in him. You know how, listen, you don't pay that anything, Tim. Yeah, we got to keep it. We got to keep it.
Starting point is 00:42:04 Keep it. It's all a game. it's all the game it's all smoke and mirrors bunch of bullshit obviously but he did say something right Kadarius Tony and being the most
Starting point is 00:42:12 skilled receiver that they do have yes yes he is if when he's healthy and when he's used correctly he is dynamic he's special
Starting point is 00:42:20 just things just didn't work out obviously they're trying to keep his value up huh concentration Ocho he don't he got Ocho special. Just things just didn't work out. Obviously, they're trying to keep his value up. Huh? Concentration, Ocho. He got... Ocho, okay, I can run the perfect route.
Starting point is 00:42:32 Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. And he's a tremendous route runner. Yeah, you're right. But what good is a great route if I drop the ball? That's something he... If I'm shooting... Ocho, me and you playing basketball. Right. Okay, I need to box you out to get the rebound. The possession doesn't start until I grab the rebound.
Starting point is 00:42:50 Right. But if you miss the shot and I don't get the rebound, what have I done? You run that great route. That's something he could work on. And then you drop the ball. Listen, he's going to be somewhere else and he needs a fresh start. He needs a fresh start to get things going. Now, I'm not sure what the Rasheed Rice
Starting point is 00:43:05 situation is like. Now, I think they might keep him based on the situation and not knowing what's going to happen with him. I mean, I know he's not going nowhere, but I'm sure he might have to sit a little bit based on... Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:21 Yeah, he probably missed a couple games. They might keep him it i don't know i just know he's dynamic and he he again he's already this was a fresh start yeah we can be dynamic no you know he can be dynamic he's already getting a fresh start obviously from from being in new york and i would i would love for him to see it work you know in canada City and if it doesn't sometimes you need more than one fresh start and that's fine as well.
Starting point is 00:43:53 Yeah, but the question I always you ask yourself, man, a guy this talented, first round pick and a team was willing to move on the guy for one year? Like, damn. And then you trade him for what you the guy for one year. Like, yo, and then you gave, and then you trade him for what you traded him for.
Starting point is 00:44:09 I'm like, damn. So, okay. So now I'm thinking now I'm playing, paying close attention. No joke. Cause something ain't,
Starting point is 00:44:17 something ain't right now. Something ain't right. Hold on. After one year, a team gave up on a first round pit and you traded him for what you traded him for? And he didn't help matters. Look, bro. Look, I get it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:32 Because everybody deals with rejection differently. I mean, obviously, it stung. Bro, what we just talking about, Ocho, I'm a first-round pick, and y'all moved on. So now I got to gloat a little bit. But I think that's what age. I think him being a little young probably handled that situation differently.
Starting point is 00:44:51 But everybody handles situations different. You don't know what you do until you've been in that situation. I was in that situation. Denver didn't want me. We played them in the first round of the playoffs. We beat them. Not only did we beat them, we went and won the Super we beat them not only did we beat them we went and won the Super Bowl
Starting point is 00:45:06 and I remember when we beat them a reporter asked me Shannon you want to call the National Guard on your former team I'm like nah I said I got a lot of good friends still over there they hurting right now this ain't the time bro this ain't the time
Starting point is 00:45:21 and I remember seeing a lot of guys they like Sean man we happy for you hey man go win this thing but i mean to each his own some people like oh you did this you broke on me i'm gonna go get me a prettier girl or a guy with more money whatever the case may be ojo everybody handled everybody can we gotta stop that and i was a big proponent that this is what i would know unless you've been in that situation you don't know because it'll be interesting had you won the super what would you would you have went back to cincinnati yeah i don't boast like that never have never would but i
Starting point is 00:45:58 oh you so what you doing to the db you're celebrating on talk about what you're going to do now i do i do my little trash talking now you know to the DB? You boasting? Tell me what you're going to do. You celebrating on what you're doing? I do my little trash talking now, you know, throughout the week. Yeah, I do my trash talking on the field. Yeah. But ain't nothing like at your head, at your head. Now, Steve Smith, nah, that's boasting.
Starting point is 00:46:20 He going to talk, he going to talk. Hey, Smitty don't play, boy. He going to talk about you, your mama. He going to talk about your kids. He going to tussle with you. He going to about your kids. He gonna tussle with you. He gonna fight with you. He gonna swing on you. Literally. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:46:36 Yeah, man. Smitty a wild boy, man. He a good dude. But he better now. He better. I had him on the pod, but he's in a better place now. But boy. We was at Santa Monica together.
Starting point is 00:46:50 Remember that? So I was with Smitty for two years way back before we even made it. Alan Marpant says Tom Brady offered cash incentives to teammates for one specific thing. He said Brady took a starting offensive lineman to the side. He's like, hey, if you guys can get a screen to go for more than 15 yards, I'll give you a thousand bucks cash each.
Starting point is 00:47:14 That is for you guys. So every time that we get that, I'll be happy to make that payment. Marpet said there were multiple plays that met the standard for the payment. Guys don't need millions of dollars to be incentivized. They don't. They don't. We used to get money.
Starting point is 00:47:29 First one to the end zone. 20 bucks. Man, they're like, man, you making money. It's just a matter of pride, Ocho. It's the pride factor. I mean, hey, we have a great practice.
Starting point is 00:47:48 Hey, hat day. We win a game. We got hat day. Victory Monday. No Monday, and we got hat day on Friday. Oh, yeah. And it makes it fun. You're already rich.
Starting point is 00:47:59 And the fact that there's another added incentive, it's not much. It's $1,000 for screenplays. It just makes the game that much more fun and wanting to accomplish it for your quarterback and for your teammates, for your teammates to some small, just some small is that, how you excited and out there competing like hell. Man.
Starting point is 00:48:22 Oh, I remember we used to have Mike gave us that. Okay. Every time we win a game victory money victory monday hat day on friday man we were damn near a year because we beat hold on who we beat we beat seattle no no no no we beat uh san diego there were charges in san diego back then so beat them. Won all the playoff games and the Super Bowl. So we start next year
Starting point is 00:48:48 with hat day and victory Monday and hat day. Won 13 straight. And then I remember we lost like, damn, what? Damn. I was more mad about man, y'all done effed up my hat day. Y'all done effed up victory Monday.
Starting point is 00:49:08 Man, we 13-0 in show. Man, we lose to the Jets on a Saturday. And I'm like, all I'm thinking about is, damn, we got to come into this raggedy mofo on Monday. And now we got to wear helmets on Friday. That's the only thing I'm thinking about walking off the field. Not that we lost the game.
Starting point is 00:49:24 Not that we're not going to break the 72 Dolphins record. I'm thinking about having to take my black ass to work on Monday. And now I got to wear a helmet on Friday. I ain't wore a helmet on Friday in a whole year. Damn.
Starting point is 00:49:46 That was sick. Listen, I can feel you. I was sick Ocho I got used to my helmet I got used to my helmet we one minute much what about in minicamp we have a good day hey oh
Starting point is 00:50:08 a mini camp all right we have a good practice if we have a good practice y'all can go home today y'all ain't got to come in y'all don't have to come right mini camp is over or in training camp all right we have a good afternoon practice I'll give y'all the night off
Starting point is 00:50:23 what I remember them days hey we have a good afternoon practice. I'll give y'all the night off. What? I remember them days. Hey. Woo-hoo-hoo. Well, we have a good morning practice. Yeah, always. Morning practice. We normally have pads on in the morning, and then we're in shorts in the afternoon.
Starting point is 00:50:34 Mike, come back down. It's going to be hard. It's going to be two hours. Mike, hey. We have a good practice. Afternoon off. Uh-uh. At all.
Starting point is 00:50:43 At all. Don't y'all eff this up. Don't y'all F this up. Don't y'all F this up. What? Man, we had a fight. That's what's going to cause a fight. They had to get the afternoon off on you. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:50:58 Man, you know, that's probably too hard. See, it ain't like it is now. We was thundering up back then. We was hitting. Wake up with football every morning and listen to my new podcast, NFL Daily with Greg Rosenthal. Five days a week you'll get all the latest news,

A question went viral asking, is there a better all-time trio receivers than the Bengals? Chad Johnson, AJ Green, and Jamar Chase. What you mean?
Starting point is 00:54:16 There are other trios, but we are up there as well when it comes to trios. Oh, a better? I can name one right now. Randy Moss, Chris Carter. I can name a bunch of them. Can I say Jacob?
Starting point is 00:54:33 Oh, Justin Jefferson. Hold on. Stay with me real quick. Oz Akeem, Torrey Holt, Isaac Bruce. T.O., Jerry Rice, and J.J. Stokes. I'm not saying better. I'm just naming some trios that are absolutely
Starting point is 00:54:51 good. Micah Irvin, C.D. Lamb. No, T.O.'s with the 49ers. Don't do that. T.O.'s with the 49ers. I know, I know, but I'm just saying. T.O. played for the Cowboys, too. Yeah, I know, but still. T.O. was the first team all just playing for the Cowboys too yeah I know but still he
Starting point is 00:55:06 he was the first team all pro with the Cowboys though he played there well if that's the case then T.O. A.J. Brown and um god damn yeah I mean you know A.J. Green I'm trying to think who else
Starting point is 00:55:21 yeah well ain't nobody be first of who else. Yeah. Ain't nobody be, first of all, T.O., Jerry, and anybody else you want to put in San Francisco. Yeah, it would. Oh, John Taylor. I forgot about John.
Starting point is 00:55:35 You can put Deebo. Who? JT would like that. Yeah, he would. JT would like that. I mean, obviously, ain't nobody going to get the credit card. You got World Rights on one side, so he getting all the shine. But JT was like that for real.
Starting point is 00:55:54 200-Jet X-Land against Cincinnati. For the touchdown, you got Isaac Bruce, Henry Erlich, Torrey Holt. You got Green Bay. You got James Lawson, Sterling Sharp, Tori, hope you got green Bay. You got James Lawson, Sterling sharp, Devante Adams. Yeah. Randy Moss,

Starting point is 00:56:40 they been on the money yeah oh who you gonna go with Lance how we gonna forget about the Steelers? Who are you going to go with? Swan, Stallworth, and AB.
Starting point is 00:56:50 Okay. Ooh, that's a good one. Swan, Stallworth, AB. Yep. That's interchangeable. You could throw Hines in there, too. Yeah, that's interchangeable. I like that.
Starting point is 00:57:00 I like that. I like that. Yeah. Yeah. I mean,. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, we probably could have, you are, if he could have ever made it to the,
Starting point is 00:57:10 made it to the start of the season, AB might've been, might've been with the Raiders too. But, uh, yeah, I mean, it's been some trio when you,
Starting point is 00:57:22 when you do like overtime. It's a good one. It's a real good one. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Because Stephon Diggs was in Minnesota.
Starting point is 00:57:32 That's interchangeable, too. Jane Boston was in Buffalo. Remember Eric Moles? Stephon Diggs was in Buffalo. Andre Reid. Eric Moles or Andre Reid. Yeah, that's right. He was there. And that's in Buffaloon James was in Buffalo. Andre Reid. Eric Moles. Andre Reid. Yeah, that's right. He was there.

I'm just throwing it at here because that might be a dude just visiting the chick too i'm just i'm just throwing it out there that could be a dude that's visiting a chick because i don't think nobody with no cyber truck would be staying in no apartments anyway oh yeah man we don't see people with beds and all kind of things in an apartment oh yeah you remember the hummer you remember the hummer was the big thing yeah i mean i had right outside of the apartment oh yeah i never forget lavender i had a beautiful beautiful pretty lavender um lavender with a little pearl to it hummer yeah matter of fact you know who did it remember 310 motoring in la yeah through through i never forget 310 motoring in LA? Starting point is 01:02:02 Um. too um I don't think I would have before I saw it I can't even get past Brazil when I think about Brazil everybody party everybody just
Starting point is 01:02:18 and they be they be it's something in the water in Brazil I don't care what y'all say it's something in the water cause ain't no way they got women man I saw they had this basketball player
Starting point is 01:02:36 she like six fold and she put them heels on wait you saw it today on twitter like a paladin pride yeah she had on the sweatshirt. She had on the brown dress. She had on the brown. Yeah, I know you're talking about it.

Starting point is 01:03:55 They going over there to do get something else. When I look at stuff like this or I'm talking about resumes. When I look at surveys, I wonder how do they go about finding out the information that these are the places with the highest body counts. I'm always curious how that works. Yeah. But guess what, Ocho? Look at Switzerland, Sweden,
Starting point is 01:04:18 Norway, Finland, Iceland. What do they have in common? So you ain't got nothing else to do but the... It's cold. Ah. Iceland what they have in common so you ain't got nothing else to do but it's cold you make it sense you make it sense you know what I'm saying girl hey you know it's a little cold out in New Zealand it gets cold as well
Starting point is 01:04:38 Iceland okay you right you right you right that makes sense I'm still confused when I think of Brazil. The only thing I can think of, the beautiful women and the guys. And you already know when you think about, I think about Brazilian soccer players. I think about Carnival. I think about Brazilian soccer players and the amount of women that they deal with and how they party, how they have fun, how they, you know what, that, you know, they do the other thing too.
Starting point is 01:05:07 But I didn't know much about these other places. I would have never, like I said, the only one I would have thought of is Italian. Wait a minute. Paris. Paris. Paris. Paris. Paris.
Starting point is 01:05:20 Paris. Paris. Paris. Paris. Paris. Paris. Paris. Paris.
Starting point is 01:05:21 Paris. Paris. Paris. Paris. Paris. Paris. Paris. Paris.

Starting point is 01:07:12 Watch me. Matter of fact, she's going to see this too. Watch me. Somebody go send it to her. I mean, normally, normally, Ocho, that's a general rule to me my mom that's what my mom said my mom said she never wanted a man that she was taller than
Starting point is 01:07:32 cause the first time she get mad at him she gonna hit him in his head and she would have done it too but nah I don't think I've my height I mean I've dated I've dated women my height and they probably was a little taller than me because if a woman is flat-footed with no heels on
Starting point is 01:07:50 and then when she put on three, four-inch heels, yeah, she might have had me by a little bit. I'm securing who I am. I'm still... Listen. Just because a woman's taller than me, I'm still Shannon Sharp now. I'm wishing we were right.
Starting point is 01:08:02 I mean, somebody's 6'4 with no heels and putting on heels and being like 6' know six all right i got you i don't care hey that be hey that means when i carry you i got my hands out here like this here they're not close like this they like that that's all i'm saying be sure i get everything i'm back at the legs and don't you know what i'm saying you see you know what i'm saying, Ocho? You see? You know what I'm saying, Ocho, right? Okay. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. Just saying, Ocho. Oh, man. And that's perfect.
Starting point is 01:08:32 That's perfect. You know what I'm saying, Ocho? You ain't got to say. I know what you're talking about. I ain't got to say no more. Definitely do. Make sure. Don't forget now. You got to... That's what i already do i don't pop that thing on the way to pick up i don't pop that on the way to pick up yeah yes lord oh that's funny oh yeah yeah man Yeah, man. Starting point is 01:09:40 make sure my eyes ain't deceiving me it was in the caption too Ms. Sharp I forgot what her name was. Make sure my eyes ain't deceiving me. It was in the caption too. Miss Sharp. Turn your head. Turn your head on Joe. Don't be looking at my wife. Matter of fact, never mind. Never mind.

Starting point is 01:11:32 I know it was Ingrid something. Yeah, you see the name? The name was Ingrid. It was Ingrid and something with it. I had to hear it. I had to hear it go had to hear up and go by I couldn't watch it too long oh I found it that fast

Starting point is 01:13:21 don't worry about it there's other tall ones out there. And you know in Brazil, they speak Portuguese. Yeah. Portuguese, they ain't damn. They bait them. Because I know you, I ain't no point. Now, you know what I'm saying? Oh yeah. because I know you know I ain't no point now oh yeah you know what I'm saying oh yeah now you talking about body
Starting point is 01:13:47 I'm talking about jet black wavy I'm talking about I was sick looking under here all the waves up you've been in Brazil I'm talking about here long I'm talking about thick luscious Brazil came to me no but I'm just saying you gonna get you gonna get going to get me in trouble. You going to get me in trouble.
Starting point is 01:14:11 I ain't know that. I ain't know that. I don't know. I don't know. That was a long time ago. I hear nothing. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 01:14:21 Long time ago. Long, long time ago. I'm just checking. I ain't never been to Brazil yeah you ain't going now we can't even go now you about to get mad see Ojo
Starting point is 01:14:37 we should leave this would be the time to do it yeah we do not care for Brazil I like the way you thinking this would be the time to do it. Yeah. Now we talking. We can do that cat from Brazil. Now we talking. I like, I like the way you thinking.
Starting point is 01:14:50 I'm going to make, I'm going to, you know, I'm going to keep this fight going on that we got right now so I can go ahead and go right there with no, no,
Starting point is 01:14:57 no issues. Nah, see, see, see, you like type C. You like C. you like to behave you like make up sex
Starting point is 01:15:07 yeah you right but right now in this situation I gotta hold my ground I gotta set I gotta set a precedent what you're not gonna do you're not gonna get comfortable
Starting point is 01:15:20 you're not gonna get complacent when you think it's okay for the smallest of things. You know, I needed to... I have maintained the honeymoon phase almost four years.
Starting point is 01:15:35 And I ain't trying to lose it no time soon. Yeah. So, I need that same energy and enthusiasm to continue just a little bit longer. At least let's...
Starting point is 01:15:46 Yeah. At least let's jump the room first for you... You get a little comfortable on your boy. Come on now. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 01:15:55 You're right. Man, I don't know if this chick was... Excuse me. I don't know if this young lady was serious or not, but she went viral after listing the things that she expects from a man. Things I expect from my man.
Starting point is 01:16:09 Ocho, number one, pay all the bills. Number two. Unrealistic, but go ahead. Take care of my kids. Not from him, not his. Okay, go ahead. No. Cook and clean.
Starting point is 01:16:33 Let me cheat in peace. Buy me a house and a car in my name only. STF you and do what I say. Massage my body every day.
Starting point is 01:16:49 Okay. Sex me only when I'm in the mood. Be faithful to me no matter what I do. And last but not least, marry me. I mean, all that was cute. Yeah, all that was cute. If you're playing a video game, if you're playing Sims,
Starting point is 01:17:07 you can do that. If you're playing GTA 4, you can do that. You can get all that you wish for, all that you want for, in your head, mentally, in real life. No.
Starting point is 01:17:22 Yeah. No. I mean, listen, I wouldn't even go i wouldn't even go there i saw i saw you i saw you had to get a closer look i would i wouldn't i wouldn't put it yeah but i'm but i'm saying first of all even if you have that if you think like that why would you put that out there like i said look i i think people not just want to go viral because I don't think, you know what I'm saying, take care of your kids. Hold on, first of all, I thought once we come
Starting point is 01:17:52 together, they're our kids. So you've already singled it out like, okay, they're yours. It seems to me a lot of things think about everything she asked for. Think about everything she mentioned. Would you just say about value earlier? You don't have to ask for it.
Starting point is 01:18:10 Yeah. Because it would already be happening. It would already be happening. Let her cheat in peace. So let me get this straight. You want me to pay all your bills, take care of your kids, cook and clean,
Starting point is 01:18:24 buy you a house and a car in your name only and now you go, I'm doing all of that on you. It's just a bunch of baloney. A bunch of baloney. Because the type of, I mean, listen, I ain't even going to get into it. The type of dude that's going to be in a position to do all that anyway, ain't even
Starting point is 01:18:40 going to be playing with you like that. Ain't going for that. What? Oh, no, no, no, no, no. That's that 1% of talk. First of all, like you said. That's that 1% of talk. One that can do all the things that you say. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:18:57 Ain't no guy that's working nine to five. No hardworking man. I mean, first of all, even me when I was growing growing up joe guy used to work hard he get his paycheck on friday he'll come home turn it over to mama mama paid all the bills she went got grocery shopping all the bills that needed to be paid she paid him but you best believe that fool was hot on the table when he sat down it wasn't no it wasn't no reheating ain't nobody had, there wasn't no microwaving.
Starting point is 01:19:26 The microwaves was at the Jetsons house. I remember the Jetsons growing up. You know, Elroy, Judy J. And Astro was the dog's man. That's what his microwave was. Food was hot. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Man, there wasn't no fire time.
Starting point is 01:19:43 That meal was hot. My granddaddy sat down. My uncle sat down at the table. All he did was wash his hands. He's sitting down at the table. My grandma set that plate down in front of him. Or my aunts was setting the plate down in front of my uncle. It wasn't nothing.
Starting point is 01:20:03 It wasn't no, I ain't cook nothing. What? If y'all from the South, y'all know what I'm talking about. Y'all know what I'm talking about. But they didn't play. Man, look here, man. You couldn't play like that with nobody.
Starting point is 01:20:16 All those things I think is more for social media. It's cute. It's for engagement. But the real... Yeah. The chance of it happening in real life, like, come on. That's not even reality.
Starting point is 01:20:30 No. No. Hell no. I mean, Ocho, I wouldn't... I wouldn't even expect... Even if I did all that thing for a woman, I wouldn't expect
Starting point is 01:20:41 for her to do number four. I wouldn't expect her to do number seven ain't happening ain't happening man please y'all be getting reckless out here somebody say not just the south oh great key say not just the south
Starting point is 01:21:02 hell nah man the men that play I don't know when that transition, Ocho, to where, you know, guys didn't get hot food. I don't know. Maybe in some places they still do that. I think, you know, all my uncles, I couldn't tell
Starting point is 01:21:18 you, Ocho, because I don't really know nobody that age. All my uncles, like, hell, I only got one uncle living. That's, well, I got one on my dad's side. He's like in his 90s. And my other uncle, my mom's side, I think he's like 70,
Starting point is 01:21:34 I think James probably like 74. 70, 74. So, he'll be 74. So, yeah, so I couldn't tell you, Ocho, but I just know when I was growing up, I ain't know nothing about no reheat. What?
Starting point is 01:21:56 Everybody would have lost this man if he'd have came home and said, well, Barney, I ain't made it yet. Man, please. Hey, that chicken was ready. Whatever they was going to cook, them girls better be in that kitchen because they know when Papa get off at six o'clock.
Starting point is 01:22:15 Better be ready. He come walking up. Okay. Okay. Okay. He play. Right. Oh,
Starting point is 01:22:25 I can imagine. If you got it, it had to come from somewhere in the military. Man, please, man. Boy, rough.
