With the new kickoff rules, Chiefs look to safeties to kick off the game. According to reports, Chiefs are seriously looking at having Justin Reed's Louis Rees-Zamit kickoff. They're both working out there today.
Starting point is 00:02:05 Special teams coordinator Dave Todd said as he watched the XFL, he noticed the kicker involved in 25, 40% of the tackles. They don't want that for Harrison Buckner. Man, what's going on over there? You, what do you think is going on over there? Well, I've been trying to watch some of the things.
Starting point is 00:02:30 I've been trying to watch, trying to pay attention to some of the XFL rules because the commissioner asked me about it. I'm like, I don't know. I said, I need to study it a little more and then I can get back to you with what I think about it. But he thinks they're going to be more. He thinks they're going to be more returns.
Starting point is 00:02:48 Given, says all you got to do is hit that crease. If they're not going to use Harrison Buckner in those situations, then they should just use Justin Reed. Well, they're going to use Justin Reed and I think the other guy, he's the rugby player, right?
Starting point is 00:03:04 Isn't that the new rugby player that they got? Yeah, but then obviously then this would be like a better tackler. You know what somebody said. Because normally what you do, Ocho, you leave the kicker for the returner.
Starting point is 00:03:20 That's normally what you do, but considering some of the things that he said, somebody might, you know what? Hey, nah, I'm going to let my man go. I'm going to put this helmet on him. That's not a good thing as well. Because guess what that leads up to? And the NFL is going to start pushing out the kickers now.
Starting point is 00:03:36 There would be no need for the kicker. That's what's going to happen next. Unless it comes down to a field goal, then you wouldn't need... Yeah. Oh, you don't think I'd try to knock your kick out? I mean, you don't think I would? Most definitely.
Starting point is 00:03:51 Because now, you ain't got two... Most teams don't have two kickers. Mostly, the punter serves as the backup kicker. And that's fine if you kick it off, but I ain't worried about him on no field goals, PATs, he gonna end up kicking some we lost Tom we lost who was that kicker Jason
Starting point is 00:04:09 Jason Nealum Jason Nealum was that kicker and he ended up pulling a hamstring and now Tom Ruin got to come in and kick field goals PAT man he kicking us in all in the butt he kicking he hit people in the back of the head I swear Ocho I I said, oh man.
Starting point is 00:04:26 Now we got to go for two every time. Ocho, you know you only got like two. There's only so many. Only so many you can run. Maybe three. Only so many you can run. Yeah. Now we got to run. Now we going for two because that's not what they do.
Starting point is 00:04:43 Now kickers are better punters than punters are kickers. Listen, kicking, that's a pressure situation. I don't think people understand how difficult it is, especially when the game is on the line, for a kicker to go out there and kick. But that's different.
Starting point is 00:04:58 Justin Tucker makes it look easy. Robbie Gold made it look easy when he was playing. All those guys, yeah. Zach McPherson makes it look easy. Robbie Gold made it look easy when he was playing. All those guys, yeah. Zach McPherson makes it look easy, but that is not easy. That is a situation where the entire team is riding on your leg.
Starting point is 00:05:17 How many times have you seen guys drop a pass? Wait a minute. A critical pass at that. Yes. It happened. Yes. It happened. pass at that yes it happened yes it happened yes absolutely it happened so um they just go to show you how the chiefs are thinking they're thinking ahead of time not wanting to getting that situation they don't wait till a situation arrives they situation football let's hey let's have a plan before the season starts.
Starting point is 00:05:46 Just to read. He's their backup kicker. Buckner got hurt. We saw Reed. Not only did he kick off, he kicked eight. I think he made a field goal, kicked a couple of PATs also. I like that. Evan McPherson. That's the Phillies kicker, right?
Starting point is 00:06:03 McPherson. Or is that Cleveland's kicker? Yeah. Oh, that's the Bengals kicker, right? McPherson. Oh, no, is that Cleveland's kicker? Oh, that's the Bengals kicker. Yeah, Bengals, Bengals, Bengals. Yeah. I mean, but all these guys, the guys got legs now. All these guys, 60 is nothing for them.
Starting point is 00:06:16 It used to be 60, only maybe one or two kickers. You probably got five to 10 kickers can kick it from 60 yards. Now, the difference is those from 60, how many of them can kick it from 60 yards. Now, the difference is those from 60, how many of them can do it consistently, consistently in those pressing situations?
Starting point is 00:06:31 Mm-hmm. Yeah. I'm not talking about right before the end of the half, something like that. You know what I'm saying, Ocho? Not like that. I'm talking about like Buckner, when he had to make that 47-yard field goal
Starting point is 00:06:44 when they got in range against Buffalo. Overtime. Defending the game in the overtime. Or the one that he nailed against the Patriots. Time. And descended to overtime. That's a whole different. A 60-yard field goal in those situations is entirely different.
Starting point is 00:07:01 Because when there's no pressure, hell, a guy can kick an 80. is entirely different because when there's no pressure, hell, a guy can kick an 80. Like, what, uh, uh, uh, when, hold up, Tuck, Tuck kicked that 66 yard against Detroit. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:12 That was to win the game. Yeah. But, and that's, I don't think people, I don't think people understand how difficult that is in that situation from that damn far,
Starting point is 00:07:21 that damn far away. At sea level. Hell yeah. Damn. Alright, Ocho. Everyone deals with the pain of divorce differently. Darren Wallace's strategy is to drop
Starting point is 00:07:36 a bizarre music video about his split from Las Vegas ace Kelsey Plum. Complete with actress playing Plum. We can't play the heavily auto-tuned sound, but here's the video. In it, Waller appears to recreate scenes of him arguing with Plum at a picnic table,
Starting point is 00:07:53 pleading with her as he drives away and bowling with her. What is it? He's in a yellow Jeep in the end with the fake Plum hugging Waller on the beach and stabbing him in the back. Damn! Waller appears to feign death, falling face down in the end with the fake plum hugging Waller on the beach and stabbing him in the back. Damn. Waller appeared to feign death,
Starting point is 00:08:08 falling face down in the sand, failing to stay motionless when the water hits him in the face. Hey, that's, that's deep. That's deep. Now this is, listen,
Starting point is 00:08:17 um, this is reminiscent of when Robin Thicke made an entire album for Paula Patton, when things didn't work out in his favor and he did. So this is Darren Waller explaining how he feels and what happened in the situation
Starting point is 00:08:33 and he's using it in artistic form in video format to express himself. I think we obviously get what he's saying and it's creative. This has never been done before. I think it obviously get what he's saying. And it's it's creative. This has never been done before. I think it's been done maybe by artists that were actually artists.
Starting point is 00:08:50 But him being a football player and in creating and expressing him, expressing himself in artistic and in an artistic way through video format is new. That's a new one. It's very creative. way through video format is new. That's a new one. It's very creative. I hope Mr. Waller and Kelsey Plum can,
Starting point is 00:09:13 can make amends and make things work because I think they are a great, awesome couple. What you think? What you think? I like, listen, the video, the video, the video,'ve been lost for words I
Starting point is 00:09:29 I I don't I mean look I didn't even know they were dating and then all of a sudden they get married at the celebrity game I had an opportunity to meet her. She's a very attractive young lady. Very, very attractive.
Starting point is 00:09:52 You know what, Ocho? I used to say, man, you fumbled a bag and you did this or you fumbled off. I don't know what their relationship was like behind closed doors. So I no longer say he fumbled that situation. Because I don't know. It seems like he's hard. I mean, like I said, I don't know enough about,
Starting point is 00:10:13 I don't know enough about the relationship. I don't, to be honest, I really don't care. I try to stay out of people's personal lives. I mean, they work it out. They work it out.
Starting point is 00:10:21 If they don't, they don't. But I don't know enough about it. I'm very optimistic. Darren Waller, phenomenal football player. Kelsey Plum, phenomenal, phenomenal superstar WNBA player. When a couple like that of that magnitude with that kind of power as one, as a union gets together, I personally would love to see it work. Now, the issues inside the house, the private part, I know nothing about, but they have resources. They have resources for therapy.
Starting point is 00:10:55 They have resources for counseling, whether it be marital counseling, whether it be, I mean, whatever it may be. But I just, if you're going to do something like that, especially when it comes to marriage, I would love for everybody for it to work out so you can truly understand what marriage is all about. I think a lot of people, especially women, I think everyone loves the idea of marriage. loves the idea of marriage, the idea, the wedding, the reception, the flowers, the flower girl, um, the, the, the performing the open bar. I don't think women really love what marriage truly is. The ins and outs, the ups, the downs, the, the, the, the, the tug of war. It's not always pizza and the cream. It's not always happy. It's always finding ways to reinvent ways to fall back in
Starting point is 00:11:46 love again. Sometimes you're going to get bored. Sometimes you're going to argue. Sometimes you're going to fight. That's a part of that journey. And what makes it great when you're able to last through it for years and years and years, it's about compromise. It's about forgiveness. know, for years and years and years. It's about compromise. It's about forgiveness. It's so much that it entails. But there's a difference here, Ocho, that I think we're overlooking. These are
Starting point is 00:12:11 two athletes. Athletes are very competitive. She's just not a woman that's sitting at the house and waiting. She's a professional basketball player. She's highly, highly competitive. she's highly highly competitive two highly highly
Starting point is 00:12:28 competitive people highly highly competitive people don't like to be wrong and they don't like to be disrespected I tilt my hat to Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf they've been married two decades that's not often that you see
Starting point is 00:12:44 two professional athletes join union and they stick it out because I'm the man. I'm the woman. I'm the man. Do you know who I am? Do you know who I am? You can't go into marriage with that ego
Starting point is 00:13:02 though. You can't go into marriage with that ego. You, huh? You can't go into marriage with that ego. You got to put that aside. You got an ego, but you say that not dating an athlete. Athletes have egos. That's how they become what they become. And the greater the athlete, the bigger the ego. I have a question, huh?
Starting point is 00:13:21 Who you kidding? The ego is for you at work, in the workplace. When you come home, that's your peace. You leave your ego at the door once you walk inside the house with your partner. Yeah, you say that. But hold on. Normally, when you come home, your partner is not a professional athlete like you. But you don't play the game at home,
Starting point is 00:13:46 huh? You play the game. You play the game in the arena. He said, I'm Darren Waller. She said, I'm Chelsea Moffo Plum. That's an old show. Come on now. It's like a movie star.
Starting point is 00:14:02 You ain't listening. She ain't listening. Oh, so we're going to leave our egos at home. I'm an Oscar award winning actress. I'm an Oscar award winning director or actor. And you talk about, man, stop it, Ocho. If you think like that, then marriage really, that ain't your calling. That ain't your ministry.
Starting point is 00:14:20 It doesn't matter if you... Ocho. Yeah. You and I both know we've all said something. Do you know who I am?
Starting point is 00:14:34 We've all been in a situation where we have to let the other party know who the F they dealing with. We've all done it. And this notion that women ain't gonna let you know who you dealing with you're sadly mistaken
Starting point is 00:14:49 yeah but listen so when you get situations like that how do I act you with how do I back down she not backing down I'm not backing down somebody got to give even if the other party isn't an athlete.
Starting point is 00:15:05 Somebody got to give, Ocho. Somebody got to say, you know what, baby? You right. Even if it... Oh, Ocho? Are you arguing to be right or are you arguing for right? That's a good one.
Starting point is 00:15:19 They're two different things. You're arguing, but what are you arguing for? To be right or for right? I just need to know, and then we can continue. You know what I'm going to do? I'm going to get them back together. I'm going to get them back together. I'm going to wait until the season
Starting point is 00:15:35 ends. I'm going to sit them both down, and I'm going to make sure they work it out. They work it out. I think they're going to be back together. Look, like I said, I don't know enough about it. I introduced myself. Her, Asia Wilson, Chelsea Gray, they were at the thing at the Celebrity All-Star Game.
Starting point is 00:15:56 I introduced myself. As I do always, hey, I'm Shannon Sharp. I know who you are. Hey, nice to meet you. So for the song, congratulations on, you know, the title. Hey, good luck this you. So for the song, congratulations on the title. Hey, good luck this season. Kevin moving. I've never met him.
Starting point is 00:16:13 We were trying to do something, trying to have him on Club Shay Shay, but it didn't work out. Maybe sometime down the line, we can make that happen because I think he has a very, very, very interesting
Starting point is 00:16:28 story, very compelling story. What he was able to overcome. But like I said, Ocho, man, when it comes to the relationship, Ocho, I don't be keeping up, man. Such and such broke
Starting point is 00:16:43 up. So what the hell you want me to do about it? I ain't be, I don't be keeping up, man. Hey, such and such broke up. So what the hell you want me to do about it? I ain't Dr. I ain't Dr. Laura. I ain't, I ain't, I can't offer no, no advice. I'm just saying, Hey, I just understand that. Hey, when I was in therapy to like, Hey, that's what she's saying. Shannon, are you arguing for right?
Starting point is 00:16:59 Or you're arguing to be right. And because at some point in time you know are you listening to respond or you're listening to understand so once you understand the dynamic of your partner and
Starting point is 00:17:18 understand and you know hey you got to communicate in a language in which they will understand I don't know why we talk to communicate in a language in which they will understand. I don't know why we talk to animals in a baby voice. Is that my boy? Is that my little teddy bear? Is that the baby?
Starting point is 00:17:33 We talk to them in a voice that they can understand. Well, that's how you have to do it to party. You have to talk to a boy. You have to talk in a language in which they can understand. If you're communicating to her, she speaks Spanish, and you're communicating Mandarin Chinese, hell, you're looking
Starting point is 00:17:50 at each other like crazy. Because you're communicating with her, and she is responding back to you, and don't even want to know what the hell y'all talking about. Relationships are tough. Every day, it's just like you go to work,
Starting point is 00:18:07 and you work on your craft. You work on releases. You work on feet placement, hand placement. That's what you got to do in a marriage. That's what you got to do in a relationship. Not just a marriage, a relationship.
Starting point is 00:18:19 It's continuous work. That's the thing as well. I don't think people really want to put in the work. And I'm not talking about them in general. I'm talking about in general. I think people don't understand the work we have to put in to actually be married because relationships are hard.
Starting point is 00:18:37 Relationships is, hey, listen, relationship, that ain't nothing but pregame. Relationship is your pregame before you walk down the aisle. if you can't make it through pre-game yeah ain't nothing changing once you put that goddamn ring on your finger so it lets you know in pre-game oh shit but this is how it's gonna be ain't nothing changing because you put that pretty dress on and you say i do in front of the minister
Starting point is 00:19:01 what we try to do what you'reard? What are you trying to do? Are you trying to grow together or are you trying to grow apart? Growing together is hard. It ain't nothing to grow apart. All I got is, hey, I catch an attitude, you catch an attitude, we go a couple of days without speaking.
Starting point is 00:19:21 I'm up out of here. Everybody love to start over. They love to start over. They love to start over. They love it. Oh, I'm going to go find me another one. Yeah, okay. Well, the other one
Starting point is 00:19:35 you finna find is single for a reason. The people that you want, they available for a reason. Hey, the older you get, the older you get, the older you get, the more difficult it becomes. Hey.
Starting point is 00:19:50 Oh, my bad. I didn't mean it like that. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. Yeah, I know. I didn't mean it like that.
Starting point is 00:20:01 Oh, yeah. Hey, I'm just saying. Hey. Hey, I'm just saying, listen. You understand what I mean, right? The pool, listen. Listen, the pool to pick from,
Starting point is 00:20:15 the older you get, whether male or female, it continues to decrease. I don't care how fine you think you are. I don't care how much money you got. The pool to pick from decreases the older you get. It just does. You know what I'm saying? I got a big old debt.
Starting point is 00:20:35 You know what I'm saying, Ocho? But here's the thing. If you got a little money, Ocho, if you a man, you got a little money. Just like if you a woman and you got a little money. Just like if you're a woman, you got a little money. You get to pick and choose what you want to do. Oh, I already know. If I had no money, I got to put this thing on clearance. You know what I'm saying? Ocho,
Starting point is 00:20:55 40% off. Damn, I ain't got no table. 50% off. I ain't got no table. All right. Buy one, get the second one free. Reality will hit real quick now. It'll hit real quick. For sure it will. You think it because you, you know,
Starting point is 00:21:08 you fine, look good, and you know, you got your pretty feet, you got your BBL, and you think that's going to catch. Listen, you,
Starting point is 00:21:13 it's easy to get one. Keeping one is the hard part. Oh, Joe, but here's the thing. And this is what happens when people work out. And I remember my trainer, Rope Man, used to always tell me when I was, like, wanting to understand bodybuilding.
Starting point is 00:21:29 And he was a judge. He'd say, dog, everybody look good standing by themselves. So if you got a BBL, you go to Vegas. They 15 other women that got BBL. And got their hair, got their nails, got their lashes done just like you. And they got on Gucci, Chanel, Flutter, Fendi, just like you. And they got on
Starting point is 00:21:52 Red, Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, Giuseppe Zanatta. Yes. Giuseppe Zanatta. Just like you. I have a question. When you think about it, for those that
Starting point is 00:22:04 are chasing the one percenters, what separates you? Or what makes you special when you're actually that one? I'm just curious. Outside of just looking physically appealing, what
Starting point is 00:22:24 else is there once that one percenter gets what he wants? How do you keep him? I'm just asking. I'm asking a question. I don't know. I'm just asking. Like, what's going to keep him? Here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:22:38 Getting a big fish on the line is not the issue because they're hungry. Catching him and landing him is the problem. You'll see, hey, I don't know if anybody's ever been fishing, but I have. I grew up fishing. Landing a thousand pound tuna or a fifteen hundred pound marlin.
Starting point is 00:22:57 Yeah. Getting him to bite is the issue. Get his ass in the boat. And keep him in there. Hey. I don't know what I'm trying to say, y'all. I don't want to ask myself that question, though.
Starting point is 00:23:16 You know, you got $100 million dudes. You got $200 million dudes. You got $300 million dudes. And they have access to any and everybody. So what is it about you that makes you... Never mind, never mind. Yes! Never mind. They don't want that conversation.
Starting point is 00:23:31 Because if he found you on IG, he can find another. If he found you at Leo, he found you at Drea, he found you somewhere in Vegas, or he found you at the Bahamas, he found you in Miami, he found you in LA, he found you at the Bahamas. He found you in Miami. He found you in LA. He found you in
Starting point is 00:23:46 Houston, Dallas. Well, if he found you there, why the hell he can't find somebody else? I'm just asking because I don't know the answer to these questions. You know me. I'm no poor hustler. I ain't got no brain like that.
Starting point is 00:24:05 I'm check poor wrestler. I ain't got no bridge like that. I'm check to check. Hey, you check that. I'm check that, too. I got lucky. I don't know what happened. But we just being honest. I mean, when guys have access. IG, Ocho, look.
Starting point is 00:24:24 When I played, you played, look, when I played, you played, you had to literally be in Miami to see a chick from Miami. You had to be in LA, or you had to be in the Bahamas, or you had to be overseas at some event. Now, IG has made it,
Starting point is 00:24:39 oh, all you gotta do, oh, she from Houston, she from Dallas, she from Houston. Send a message, message little DM real quick and listen don't have no money now but don't have no money now I know people say
Starting point is 00:24:55 money and everything and just a tool yeah a tool to get what the fuck you want oh shit I'm sorry a tool to get what you want I apologize I ain't cursed all episode. Hey, but that's the thing though, Ocho. You know what money buys you?
Starting point is 00:25:14 Access. Yeah. And the more money you got, the more access is granted. And the more access you have. Stop playing. And you wonder why I keep playing cheap. I ain't got it.
Starting point is 00:25:32 Mm-hmm. I ain't got it. Real. I know you watching. What's up, baby? I'm just, listen. I'm just talking, you know. Ain't no, ain't no. Yeah, we just. We just up, baby? I'm just, listen, I'm just talking, you know, ain't no, ain't no. Yeah, we just, we just talking, baby.
Starting point is 00:25:50 Ain't nothing popping off. Ain't nothing popping off. You know, we just having conversation, you know, letting everyone, you know, telling people what really, what really is happening. Let everybody know what's really going on. Ain't nothing popping off. No pole hustle over here.
Starting point is 00:26:06 About to be 56, chilling, working hard. Ash got me working. She got so much to do with my time. We're going to take off, right? Then she hit me. What do you think about this? I thought we was taking
Starting point is 00:26:22 off in July. In August. Yeah, but I thought we was taking off in July, in August yeah but so why you bring it to me how we gonna take off if you keep bringing me opportunities yeah she just dying laughing over here
Starting point is 00:26:42 cause every time hey uh what you doing? I'm resting. What are you doing, eh? Oh, now I can say no. I already know, but you always tell people I already know what Shannon's going to say.
Starting point is 00:26:59 Now she's before me. No, Ocho, I don't think we're going to be off as much in August as I thought we were. Or July as much as I thought we were. I was trying to take a little vacation with my baby. I was trying to take a little vacation with my baby. I was trying to take a little vacation.
Starting point is 00:27:16 Yeah, me and Rev. It went from eight weeks to four weeks now. Me and Rev. Yeah, exactly. Me and Rev are going to hit a little trifecta. We're going to hit St. Bart's, St. Martin, and I think Anguilla. I think we're going to hit like a little trifecta real quick.
Starting point is 00:27:33 You know, wind down before I get back to Venice in September. Yeah, I thought so too, but it looked like the only thing I'm going to have is a St. Bernard. That's the thing that I'm going to get because it sure does hate that I'm going to get because it sure doesn't look like I'm going to get a bunch of a vacay. Wake up with football every
Starting point is 00:27:52 morning and listen to my new podcast NFL Daily with Greg Rosenthal. Five days a week, you'll get all the latest news, previews, recaps and analysis delivered straight to your podcast feed by the time you get your coffee. No dumb hot takes here, just smart hot takes.

That's Patrick Claibon, Steve Weiss, Nick Shook, Jordan Rodrigue from The Athletic, and of course, Colleen Wolfe. This is their window right now. This is their Super Bowl window. Why would they
Starting point is 00:28:25 trade him away? Because he would be a pivotal part of them winning that Super Bowl. I don't know why, Colleen. Catch the podcast, the NFL Daily with Greg Rosenthal every day. Subscribe today and you'll immediately be smarter and funnier than your friends. And who doesn't want that? Listen now on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Oh, Joe, I can't wait to talk about this video. Let's watch this and your mouth is going to be agape just
Starting point is 00:29:02 like mine was. Hey, buddy, Trippin, what? Lord Calls Case, people versus Corey Harris. And your mouth is going to be agape just like mine was. Hey, buddy, trippin', boy. Our cause case, people versus Corey Harris. I'm a civil rights advocate, still a township. This is from Public Defender Natalie Cate for Mr. Harris, who should be present in his room. Mr. Harris, are you driving? Actually, I'm pulling into my doctor's office, actually.
Starting point is 00:29:28 So just give me one second. I'm parking right now. Hey. You stationary? I'm pulling in right now at this second. Yes, I am. All right. What are we doing?
Starting point is 00:29:58 Your Honor, we are respectfully requesting an adjournment in this matter, possibly two to four weeks if the court would allow. Okay. So maybe I don't understand something. This is a driver with a license suspended? That is correct, Your Honor. And he was just driving. And he didn't have a license. Oh. He didn't have a license. He has with the charges, Your Honor, yes.
Starting point is 00:30:31 No, I'm looking at his record. He doesn't have a license. He's suspended and he's just driving. That is correct, Your Honor. Hey, he might as well go on the counter to that apartment and just drive on down to the courthouse. Might as well. I mean whatever
Starting point is 00:30:45 why you asking the phone why you calling you know you got a suspended license why you calling and talking to that judge talking about he had a zoom he got a zoom call with the judge about his license being suspended he must have already been out on bond
Starting point is 00:31:01 he was oh Joe why you driving why not have your home he must have already been out on bond. He was already... He was... Oh, Joe, why you driving? Why not have your homeboy driving you and say, Judge, I'm on my way? You know your license suspended. I think he forgot.
Starting point is 00:31:13 I think he must have forgot he had that goddamn call. Somebody must have texted him and said, boy, you got that Zoom call with this judge or so-and-so and you know you got... If you miss that Zoom call, the bench warrant automatically go out.
Starting point is 00:31:26 Oh, Joe, everybody that don't have insurance on their car, don't forget they don't have insurance. You know when you don't have license or they've been suspended or revoked. But, buddy, crazy, man. Like, listen, we don't do the donkey of the day. You know, that's for the breakfast club. Dumb dumb of the day.
Starting point is 00:31:48 He's definitely dumb dumb of the day. That's ridiculous. That's ridiculous. You know what? Hold on. There's got to be a part two. Now, did he turn himself in before six o'clock? Or did he say forget it?
Starting point is 00:31:58 Yeah. Because the judge said if you don't turn yourself in by six, it's going to be a bench walk with no bond. How you don't get no bond? You don't get no bond with a suspended license? I'd have drove straight there. I'd have called
Starting point is 00:32:13 my girl, my homeboy, my mom or somebody and said, look, I'm going to turn myself in. The bond's going to probably be a little higher, probably $5,000. Hey, come on down to the jail. Get me up out of there. He was tripping, boy. Buddy was tripping there.
Starting point is 00:32:29 Buddy was tripping. I don't know what he was thinking. Somebody said he should have got out the car. He should have got out the car and got on the phone. But look, I mean, by right, going to the doctor's office I'd say hey I'd have my homeboy in there say hey look here pull some ketchup on his shirt and say I know I'm not supposed to be driving your honor
Starting point is 00:32:51 but my homeboy just got stabbed he got shot and I'm taking him to the hospital that's a good one oh yeah and I understand judge I wouldn't normally do this I know I'm wrong but I can't let something happen to my homeboy so I'm taking him
Starting point is 00:33:06 to the hospital what you say catch up hey and you know what I done gave a little station look at man cause they gonna send
Starting point is 00:33:12 somebody down to the they gonna send somebody down to the hospital to see cause I gotta cut you I'm gonna hit you right here I ain't gonna hit
Starting point is 00:33:20 nobody in Oregon but hey bro I'm in a heap of trouble right now he wasn't thinking he wasn't thinking I'm telling you right now. He wasn't thinking. He wasn't thinking. I'm telling you, either he forgot, he wasn't thinking straight, but there's so many different
Starting point is 00:33:30 things you could have done to make sure you weren't driving while you took that Zoom call. Yeah. Dang. And you know, it probably came up, I don't know, maybe it came up no call ID. Why the hell are you answering the phone with no call ID anyway? And if it came up a courthouse, a high-end...
Starting point is 00:33:50 No, hell no. I ain't answering that phone. I said, no, you got to call me regularly. He tripping. One thing you don't play about is them Zoom calls with the judge. You don't play like that. Well, you better answer that. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:10 Oh, Joe, I ain't going to lie, Joe. I had to watch you call him. I'm telling you, the first day, oh, he missed it. Boy, that bench warrant going out. Oh, that bench warrant coming. Oh, I don't play with that. Oh, no, you can't play with that. Uh-uh.
Starting point is 00:34:25 What's up? Mm-mm. Uh-uh. I'm sorry. Mm-mm. Mm-mm. Nope, I'm going down there. Hey, I'm going to see what y'all talking about. What? Hey, maybe. Six o'clock?
Starting point is 00:34:34 Hey, I got a ticket one time to judge, like, and he forgave everybody ticket. Now, what if I wasn't there? Oh, I got gotta get that. And then one time, they forgave the ticket and then nah, if this
Starting point is 00:34:55 ticket was forgiven, you got to come back and pay. Pay who? Went right on back up there. Hell yeah. You won that much. Man, I don't mess around with that. Ocho, little 75, $100, $200. I don't care nothing about that.
Starting point is 00:35:11 I need my license. Because think about it. You drive it, police pull you over, they run your thing, and your thing's suspended. They taking your ass downtown. Listen, you better hope whatever officer pull you over,
Starting point is 00:35:23 and you know your license is suspended, you better hope they're having a good day. You better hope they're having a good day. I don't know. I ain't chanting it. Yeah. What if he having a good day but I'm having a bad day? You better conduct
Starting point is 00:35:39 yourself accordingly. Hey, I ain't lying to you. Hey, just tell homeboy you got to take this one. Give him a little nick. You'll be alright. I ain't going to hit nobody long. I ain't going to hit no kidney. I ain't going to puncture your liver.
Starting point is 00:35:55 We got to make this work. We got to make this work. I'm about to nick the ish out of you bro hey hey Ocho you gotta take one for the team literally take one for the team you better than me
Starting point is 00:36:19 if I knew I had that call and I know I'm driving with a suspended license and I would have pulled over so fast I had that call and I know I'm driving with a suspended license, then I would have pulled over so fast and took that call. I would have sat in the passenger seat. I would have pulled over somewhere, sat in the passenger seat,
Starting point is 00:36:32 then answered. But see, he done forgot. He thought it was somebody else. Because you see the look on his face, he looks like, uh-oh. I'm about to pull over right now. You should be driving.
Starting point is 00:36:48 Who pulled over to take a call? His face was like, is this... He really driving. And he calm and confident with it, too. I'm pulling into the doctor's office in a few seconds.
Starting point is 00:37:05 And you hear the DA? You hear the DA? Yes, yes, yes, sir. So I'm looking at it. His driver's license is revoked. Yes, your honor. She died. She couldn't wait to die. 6 p.m. to turn
Starting point is 00:37:22 herself in. Or a bench warrant will be issued with no bond. Yes! Yeah, alright. Play with the people if you want to. Oh, no, you don't play with them. Hey, the judge, he owe all that power. Every time.
Starting point is 00:37:38 Ocho, don't mess with Neymar after teammates Renan Lodi tied Nas in his shoes as a prank. Neymar responded by puncturing all his tires on his left back's car. Neymar took the prank war to the extreme. He posted it on
Starting point is 00:37:54 IG and Lodi responded, next season is long. I eagerly await your Rolls Royce. Hey, they play different. They play different. Yeah, for sure listen you gotta understand the kind of money they making over there in Saudi in the Saudi league
Starting point is 00:38:10 man they will ship some tires get some tires in ASAP god damn remember we talked about it everybody don't play like we play. Man, he went overboard. Maybe he's not one of those guys that play when you tie in your shoe or not.
Starting point is 00:38:33 Now, yeah, we used to, I mean, look, we had all kinds of things. I would nail guys, lock them shut, make them late for practice. I mean, you know, we put shoulder pads up there. We put water. You grass snatch the shoulder pads up there. We put water. You grass snatch the shoulder pads, the water come down. We got, you know, we got talcum powder in there. We did all kinds of stuff.
Starting point is 00:38:53 Milk candy bars in your helmet. You put it on, chocolate, all it. We did all kinds of stuff. But we knew who to play with because everybody been playing like that. Those two have a special relationship, obviously. I'm not sure if the left back, I'm not sure if he's a Brazilian player outside of playing in the Saudi league, but they got to be cool, especially if you're going to that extent.
Starting point is 00:39:13 Oh, yeah. They got to be cool. For sure. Oh, yeah. Because, you know, we steal your car. I mean, it was a prank, but, you know, you knew who to play with. Everybody, like I said, everybody didn prank, but you know, you could, you know, you knew who to play with. Everybody,
Starting point is 00:39:26 like I said, everybody didn't play. You know, we had our little group. We pranking me, Burns, uh, Rod Smith house,
Starting point is 00:39:34 uh, Ray Jacobs, Alan Aldridge. You know, we had a little group. We, we pranking each other, you know,
Starting point is 00:39:43 man. Yeah. We had to stop that, Ocho. Them Jokers be waiting up under their car for you to come up in the morning. They laying on their stomach up under their car. You have no idea. You know, you just going. They kick your food up out your hand.
Starting point is 00:39:58 They kick your food up out your hand. Oh, yeah, man. They got me, Ocho. Oh, man. They got me. I said, bro, I'm done. I got me. Oh, man. It got me. I said, bro, I'm done. I'm done with this, man. Listen, don't let them kick your food and knock your food out your hand when you're really hungry now.
Starting point is 00:40:14 That's the... Ocho, you be sitting in the locker room eating. Joker come by and take his jock off his throat right on your plate. That's awesome. Oh, ask him. Hey, man, I'm telling you, man. Oh, that thing that thing was ruthless man you had to eat hey the only thing you couldn't know you couldn't do it in the training room and you couldn't do it in the cafeteria but everything else you was in the locker room you was outside oh you oh man man them jokers throw the jockey your food food. Throw, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, I don't play by my fool. And I don't play by my video games. Don't bother none of that.
Starting point is 00:41:07 Well, I tell you what, Ocho, don't laugh, because if you grin, you in. All right. So, hey, you better sit there stone-faced. Oh, you laughing, Ocho? Is it funny? Don't worry about it. Don't worry about it. Oh, yeah, we got to have you, Ocho,
Starting point is 00:41:24 because all y'all are coming in the chat tonight. Is it true? What happened? Got sad news to report. Drew Gordon, Aaron Gordon's brother, passed away. His brother died in a car accident in Portland, Oregon. He was 33 years old.
Starting point is 00:41:39 Our thoughts and prayers go out to Aaron Gordon and his family, Drew's wife and their three children. The tragic out to Aaron Gordon and his family, Drew's wife and their three children. The tragic passing of Aaron Gordon's, I guess this is his older brother. He was 33 years old. He leaves a wife and three children behind. I'm sorry to hear that,
Starting point is 00:41:56 man. Prayers to the Gordon family, man. Condolences. Huh? It's his older brother, yes. So, chat, thoughts and prayers go out to Aaron Gordon and his family. huh he's his older brother yes so chat thoughts and prayers go out to Aaron Gordon and his family understanding what they're going through in this tragic in this very very tough time we ask
Starting point is 00:42:14 God to give him strength understanding during their most time in this time of need thoughts and prayers to Aaron Gordon and his family sad man you never know and this time of need. Thoughts and prayers to Aaron Gordon and his family. Sad, man. You never know.
Starting point is 00:42:30 Never know. Never know, Joe. That's why I... Oh, man. We know not the hour or the day. We just know we got an appointment. It's the one appointment that cannot be rescheduled. No matter what you do. No matter what you do.
Starting point is 00:42:49 When you are born, you have an expiration date and there is no way you can change that. Damn. We're going to try to transition again thoughts and prayers to Aaron Gordon and his family, Drew's wife and his three kids it's time for our last segment of the day
Starting point is 00:43:15 it's called Q&A J.R. Locke says that's why I love this show O Ocho. It's so real. Ocho is so real. You got to lighten up. You be uptight, but you so cool on TV. In the podcast, you got to be a people's person. I'm
Starting point is 00:43:35 confused, J. I mean, what you talking about? I can't let up on Ocho. I got to keep him grounded. I am grounded. Nah, you're not. Nah, you're not. No, you're not. I'm right. Listen, I'm trying to get my weight up. I'm going to be back
Starting point is 00:43:52 out there Monday. I'm going to get me a contract with the Bengals this year. I think you've talked about me telling you to be careful getting in people's car and things of that nature. You know ain't nobody going to do nothing to me, man. Everybody loves me, man.
Starting point is 00:44:07 I don't have no enemies. There ain't no such thing as everybody. Find me somebody that don't like me, then. Be out there. Elias Camper said, Sup, Uncle Ocho? Thanks for giving us nighttime entertainment. The chemistry between you two is next level.
Starting point is 00:44:27 Please wish my younger brother, Marlo, a happy birthday. He's on the road listening now. Marlo, what's up, bro? Thank you for watching Nightcap with Uncle Ocho.
Starting point is 00:44:38 We really, really appreciate your support. Appreciate it. Thank you for tuning in. Lies, thank you, bro, for hipping him to the, whoever helped each other to
Starting point is 00:44:46 nightcap we greatly greatly appreciate you happy birthday enjoy and be safe on that road yes sir Zach Miranda says much love and Mr. Rosado be proud of how much you've educated yourself on the NBA what was both of your favorite moments
Starting point is 00:45:08 of this series Luke and Kyle best backcourt ever well I'm not gonna say this best backcourt ever now that's I mean so what we gonna do about Steph and Clayton or did they just like just go away what are we gonna do about Magic and Byron Scott? Earl the Pearl and Walt Clyde? Koozie and Sam Jones? I mean, there have been some great backcourt. Now, if you want to say the best scoring backcourt, okay. Okay, fine, I give you that. But they got to win some hardware before we elevate them.
Starting point is 00:45:42 What do you think of those, Joe? I think the hardware, I hate having to add the hardware to the discussion to say it's okay for someone to be the best backcourt ever because I think statistically they've proven to be somewhat of the best backcourt ever.
Starting point is 00:45:59 Obviously, there's an argument there because there are other players or other tandems, other duos that have played well as well that were also scoring machines as well. So, again, I think when it comes to that, I think it's also preference. And when it comes to people, when it comes to society, they are they are always in the moment. They are always in the now and really forget other past players that were also great, great tandems. They do wake up with football every morning and listen to my new podcast, NFL daily with Greg Rosenthal,
Starting point is 00:46:33 five days a week of get all the latest news previews, recaps, and analysis delivered straight to your podcast feed. By the time you get your coffee, no dumb hot takes here. Just smart. Hot takes. We'll talk every single game, every single week,
Starting point is 00:46:48 but I can't do it alone, so I'm bringing in the big guns from NFL media. That's Patrick Claiborne, Steve Weiss, Nick Shook, Jordan Rodrigue from The Athletic, and of course, Colleen Wolf. This is their window right now. This is their Super Bowl window. Why would they trade him
Starting point is 00:47:03 away? Because he would be a pivotal part of them winning that Super Bowl. I don't know why, Colleen. Catch the podcast, the NFL Daily with Greg Rosenthal every day. Subscribe today and you'll immediately be smarter and funnier than your friends. And who doesn't want that? Listen now on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. You know, sometimes I find myself going back to look at the great players. And, you know, you're like, man, these guys are really good.
Starting point is 00:47:41 And then you go back and look at some of these older guys. You go back and look at a Michael. Like, you look at a Kobe's highlight. You look at LeBron's highlight. You look at Bird. You look at some of these older guys. You go back and look at a Michael's, like you look at a Kobe's highlight, you look at LeBron's highlight, you look at Bird, you look at Magic, and you're like, okay, yeah, these guys are great, but these guys, these old guys, they ain't got to take a backseat to none of these guys. But that's the only way that we're able
Starting point is 00:47:57 to be able to really judge it is because championships matter. Look, I don't know who put that into effect that says you got to have championships. But we can't discard that now because we got two players that we really like and say all of a sudden championships don't matter when over the last 25, 30 years,
Starting point is 00:48:16 championships was the only thing that mattered. Now, I'm not saying they're not a great backcourt. I'm not saying that because I believe you could be great without winning championships. I don't know how you elevate somebody to being the best with no championships because if they're what you say they are, they've got to win, right?
Starting point is 00:48:33 They probably will. The way it's looking, I'm excited for the series. And listen... Who's favorite in the series? Celtics? It says Jason Tatum is favorite to win the finals MVP over Luka, then Luka, then I think it's Jalen Brown. I think I saw that as I was coming on.
Starting point is 00:48:55 If Kyrie got something to say about it, we're going to see. But Luka and Kai are spectacular. Now, if you want to say the best scoring backcourt, I ain't going to fight you. I ain't going to fight you on that one. Even if you look at Gale Goodrich and Jerry West, say something in favor. Laney Ray.
Starting point is 00:49:26 Lainey, I know you're hurting because consider that she loves all things Minnesota. I'm assuming she's from Minnesota. I'm crying with you. Timberwolves being a Minnesota professional sports fan is not for the faint of heart. Sorry I didn't warn you,
Starting point is 00:49:42 but Minnesota women just won the first ever pro hockey Walter Cup. I don't know about that one, lady. I don't know. I mean, do they got a professional hockey team? No, the Dallas Stars, they moved from Minnesota, didn't they? Oh. Okay, okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:50:02 We'll let that one slide, lady. But I think you would like for the twins the twins have won maybe two in your lifetime the twins the Vikings which is number one the Timberwolves I think you probably get a little bit more satisfaction if they were to win
Starting point is 00:50:22 they did well man that's what I win. They did well, man. They did well. That's what I'm thinking. They did well. Mr. Welcome Down 513, Josh Newton, clumped you yesterday. Shout out to the store
Starting point is 00:50:39 that you came in last night. Red Bull Cincinnati Street Corner on the banks. You was in the store last night? Give me a Red Bull, man. Give me. Red Bull Cincinnati Street Corner on the banks. You was in that store last night? Give me a Red Bull, man. Give me a Red Bull. There's some cool dudes down there. There's some cool dudes down there, man.
Starting point is 00:50:53 Okay. Oh, the Minnesota Wild. That's the name of their hockey team. I don't think y'all won a championship, though. Yeah. Shout out to the homies down there on the banks, man. I appreciate y'all.
Starting point is 00:51:04 Appreciate the love, man. Appreciate the loveies down there on the banks, man. I appreciate y'all. Appreciate the love, man. Appreciate the love every time I come back, man. Everybody welcome me back with open arms and make me feel like I'm right back at home. Oh.
Starting point is 00:51:19 Cameron Norwood Jr., my question is, last second of the football game, who'd you give the ball to, Ocho or Devontae Adams to win the game? I'm going with Ocho. What you talking about? I'm going with Rosado.
Starting point is 00:51:31 Come on, man. You going with your boy. That's what I'm talking about, baby. We going to get it done. Yeah, I'm going to get me an 85 Bengals jersey with Rosado on the back of it. Hey, don't do that. You got to stop saying that
Starting point is 00:51:45 because people people starting to say that in public now because they watch the show and they they taking a joke now. It's okay from you but then they doing it
Starting point is 00:51:53 to me in public to about what's up? Yeah, but it's okay Ocho. It's just word. Like you tell me it's okay. Nah, man. Nah.
Starting point is 00:52:00 Nah. That's like the man taking a woman's last name when they get married. That's not how that's not how that's not they get married. That's not how that work. Yeah. She the breadwinner. She the breadwinner.
Starting point is 00:52:14 She the breadwinner, but don't act like I can't go in one of them offshore accounts and play big bank and take a little bank now. Don't do that. Don't do that. No, you can't. No, you can't. Real got that bread. Now, see, I be trying to little bank now. Don't do that. Don't do that. No, you can't. No, you can't. Real got that bread.
Starting point is 00:52:25 Real got that bread. Now, see, I'll be trying to be humble now. I'll be trying to be humble now. Real do a hostile takeover on you. I'm trying to be humble now. I don't really want to go there. I'm team real. Let's go real. Real got that bread.
Starting point is 00:52:43 She got that bread. That's why I ain't signing no prenup either Devin Bell said what's good y'all need to make a shirt that says one for God and two white men she got to show her face all we hear is her laughing in the background that's it and the thing is like when you see us,
Starting point is 00:53:05 she be with me most of the time. Y'all just don't know her because she's either walking real far behind or real far ahead. Yeah. Keith Saunders says, Ocho, want to give you a shout out. You tipped my cousin last week at his job. It was more than he made in a week.
Starting point is 00:53:26 Thank you. He needed that love. Wait, I tipped somebody? Ocho. Yep. So you tipped his cousin last week. And what you tipped him was more than he made in an entire week. Well, you know how I tip.
Starting point is 00:53:39 You know how that go, man. Tell cuz, man, I appreciate him. And I'm not sure. He might have been having a good day, a bad day. I don't care. I don't remember how the service was, but regardless of how the service goes, the entire world knows how I tip him about coming to your establishment.
Starting point is 00:53:54 You know what I'm leaving. You know what I'm leaving every time. I salute. I salute Joe. Dwan High says, Oh, Joe, who are some players that aren't in the Hall of Fame that should be,
Starting point is 00:54:08 it's London Fletcher, Sterling Sharp for me. Also, do y'all think the WNBA bringing the shot back to Detroit? Man, look, I've been stopped. I think everybody knows how I feel about this.
Starting point is 00:54:23 I'm not just saying this. You look at my brother's record, my numbers, his numbers. In a seven-year span, he led the league in receptions three times. He led the league in yardage. And once, he led the league in touchdowns twice. Five Pro Bowls, three first-team All-Pros. I think what they're trying to do, me and my brother should have been the first pair of brothers
Starting point is 00:54:47 in the Hall of Fame. I think they're going to put Eli and Peyton in first and then my brother get in. But to say my brother doesn't deserve to be in the Hall of Fame based on his resume, he was neck and neck with Jerry. I'm talking about right there. For a seven-year stretch, he was right there with Jerry.
Starting point is 00:55:06 Jerry would win in one year. He would win in reception one year. Jerry would win in touchdowns. He would win in touchdowns. The numbers speak for themselves. Go back and look. The guys that are in the Hall of Fame that played in my brother's era, look at their numbers.
Starting point is 00:55:21 Look at their numbers. I'm just saying, other than Jerry, we know what Jerry is. Many believe Jerry's a GOAT. He's my GOAT for wide receivers. But there are other guys that are in the Hall of Fame that played in the era of which my brother, go look at their numbers and you tell me for seven years where they beat my brother at.
Starting point is 00:55:38 In yards, catches, or touchdowns. Just show me the stats. I'm going to say about that. I'm done. I'm off my say about that. I'm done. I'm off my soapbox. Be consider Ocho a real vacation plan just because you haven't taken a vacation since 96 doesn't mean your business partner
