Starting point is 00:04:30 wagering and eligibility restrictions, terms and responsible gaming resources. They know you gotta trade it. I ain't gonna give you what you want. Plus we ain't playin' none of the salary. Cause the Raiders want, you know what I'm sayin', the teams want the Raiders to pick up the salary.
Starting point is 00:04:45 Right. I just hold on to them and do it in the off season. I don't like this from a dog. I don't like it from a dog one bit. From a production standpoint, from a statistical standpoint, when you're not, when you're not putting up the numbers you should be, it gives you as a player, no leverage. You have to rely on what you've done in the past as a way to attract suitors. I hope I would love, I would hope and I would like for this situation to get rectified rather
Starting point is 00:05:20 sooner than later. I mean, for me, to me, you know how I feel about, you know, Tay to me being one of the best in the league. Yeah. If not still, it's just that the fact of the opportunities don't come as often as they should. The consistent quarterback play that he's used to having being put in position to make plays consistently. He doesn't get it as often as we're all used to seeing. So obviously he suffered because of that.
Starting point is 00:05:51 And now we're at a point where he's not happy. I don't think the Raiders are happy with him. Let me find out. They need to get, just fix the situation. Get it out of the way. Just get it out of the way. Hey, let me find out. You come to me as a man. I'm trying to sell my house. I say, really? What you looking for?
Starting point is 00:06:09 Don't you? Man, I ain't looking for six. And then I read the paper. Chad Ocho Cinko, Ocho Cinko Johnson, how's about to go in foreclosure now, Ocho, I go to get you six. No, bro, I'm sorry. And you don't give me what you can because I'm in flow court foreclosure, huh? You damn right. And that's what the Raiders,
Starting point is 00:06:28 and that's what teams know the Raiders are up against. They know you gotta get rid of it. They know Tay is unhappy. Man, I can't give you a second round, Pete. Hey, it's a dirty game, man. It's a dirty game. It's a dirty business, man. Why do you think they charge you $20 for a beer
Starting point is 00:06:46 at a stadium? Where else you gonna get beer from? I charge you $10 for a Coke. Where else you gonna get it from? I would charge you $10 for a hot dog. Well, you better eat a belly full before you got there. Cause your ass gonna be hungry. Cause these are the prices.
Starting point is 00:07:02 Right. Hey, hold on. How about this, though? Why do you think when there's a huge sporting event, let's say we got Super Bowl coming up, why do you think the hotel price is going to go up? Yeah. Why do you think the flight price is going to skyrocket?
Starting point is 00:07:15 And I'm going to get you a full night minimum, because I ain't going to have you break your ass here on Friday, Saturday night, and leave on Sunday. On Sunday. No. Yeah. Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night, Sunday night. Yeah, we need all your coins. Yes.
Starting point is 00:07:30 So I don't know to tell you, you're absolutely right. They anytime the week it come. The price is going to skyrocket because they know people want to travel on the weekend. So it's best to try to, you know, if you can, if you can leave it, you know, Monday, Tuesday, right. Come back on a Monday, Tuesday, because when you bring your ass back on the week, everybody want to go somewhere or want to get back. But, uh, yeah, I can't, I, if I'm, if I'm a team, I'm a holdout. Hey, I got a fourth player. That's all I got for you. I got a fourth round for you. fourth player. That's all I got for you. I got a fourth round for you. Then we make the day also that if we make the playoffs, I get your eye it'll go to a
Starting point is 00:08:09 third. It's just make him happy. Just make them happy. So both sides can part ways. Yeah, people tell you to bring stuff to the movies. I mean, I guess now because back in the day they let you bring that to the movie. They look. I mean, I guess now, because back in the day, they let you bring that to the movie. They look at. I mean, I take I take Starbuzz, I put Twizzlers Starbuzz in my purse in my pants and stuff, you know, I'm saying that. Man, they charge you five, six dollars for that stuff. Is that I you know what the fact I'm talking about? I haven't been to the moon a very long time.
Starting point is 00:08:40 I can't remember the last movie I did see, obviously. I can't either, but I used to. Huh. I can't remember the last movie I did see obviously. I can't either, Ocho, not that you mentioned it. But I used to, huh? I can't, not that you mentioned it. I can't remember the last movie I saw in the theaters. You know, I'm watching, I mean, I think I maybe watched two movies in the last five, four years on my TV, but in the theaters. Please tell me the last time I've been before COVID hit, I went to Cinna Bistro. Y'all got Cinna Bistro in where you at?
Starting point is 00:09:03 We do, yeah. I went to send a Bistro. Y'all got send a Bistro in a where you at? Yeah, boy Man, I had I had this I went to send a Bistro. They had the calamari Yeah, you have a calamari first. They put me to call a bari then they had to stay Yeah with the mashed potatoes and the broccoli. Yeah. Oh man. Oh, man. I can't even move. I can't even move it I was I saw but god damn I ain't been back since Yeah, I been back since. Yeah. I ain't been back since. But that was an enjoyable moment. I gotta be careful eating like that
Starting point is 00:09:29 cause you know they got them seats that lay all the way down. Oh yeah. Man I eat like that I don't put that blanket on I'm going to sleep. A complete bed. Man I eat all that food like that don't you? I'm going to sleep. Yeah that can happen, that can happen.
Starting point is 00:09:41 Yeah yeah. And don't let the movie be boring. But they have to come in and wake you up. You know what I'm saying? Don't let me go in there. There ain't nobody in there with us. Hey, stop boy. You gonna do it here?
Starting point is 00:10:05 Yeah. Hey, am I? Stop boy, you gonna do it here? Yeah! Me, am I? Hey, that's a different kind of movie. Man, look, back in the day, I couldn't do it now. Right. But, Caught Your Boy about 25 ago. Oh, it's on. Oh, I want the thought. I don't wanna get caught on show,, I want to thought.
Starting point is 00:10:25 I don't want to get caught, Ocho, but I want to thought of somebody like, but now I can't even take that chance no more, Ocho. Yeah, you can't do it. You can't do it. Hey, hold on, you been to the drive-in theater before? Yeah. Okay, I'm just making sure.
Starting point is 00:10:42 Matter of fact, last time I went. Last time I went. That's a good day. You know you boy did. Oh, I'm just I'm just making sure, matter of fact, that's how I wear my ass. You know, you already know you are already know you. Yeah, listen, you got to tell me twice. Hey, that's a nice date. And now that I think about it, that's a that's a nice, cool date. Drive in, pull up, especially
Starting point is 00:11:02 we got you a convertible like back in the days. Until I back in the day back yeah man put the top back man you got your blanket got your blanket it was no camera phones oh Joe nobody hey everybody walking by they minding their business yeah I'm telling my business you don't say that's supposed to be it's business old business you mind your business I'm handling business. Yeah. The good days on more than as a matter of fact, if you in Atlanta, you all know about the drive in on moreland.
Starting point is 00:11:34 As a matter of fact, there's a fair in 2024. I think so. I've been a long time. And there's a federal prison right across the street. Yes, sir. Anybody to check it out. So, yeah, he's right on more than ever. You have what, yeah. He's like right off Moreland Avenue. Yeah. What are you talking about? There you go. Moreland Avenue. Oh, so it is still there. Still there. That's like.
Starting point is 00:11:55 And I need I need I need to find a drive in here in Miami or anywhere in the area. I drive. I drive. Yeah. I mean, like I said, I mean, we used to have there was one and there was a drive in and by Delia, there was a drive in and Claxton, there was a drive in in in Hinesville. Right. As bill is for Stuart, that's what the army base was. They closed the one in Claxton.
Starting point is 00:12:22 That was the first one to close. And then the one in Vidalia, excuse me, they closed the one in Claxton that was the first one to close and then the one in Vidalia excuse me they closed that one and then you had to go to you had to go to Fort Stewart and I think I think the one in Highesville is still open the drive-in I could be wrong but I am now you talking about me maybe I was in high school maybe a high school my freshman year in college so I couldn't tell you but I know that one on Morland Avenue. It was open. Yeah, it was the only thing that was over.
Starting point is 00:12:48 We need to go ahead. I'm going on. I'm going on. You don't see the Patriots rookie Drake May and his girlfriend, Anna Michael Hudson started dating when they were 12 years old. Ten years later, they're still dating. Oh, Joe, that's your girlfriend from when you was 12 years old. When I was 12. Remember, I told a story, I told a story.
Starting point is 00:13:12 I thought she was my girl at the time. Yeah. You know, I let her get my crayons out my 64 crayon box. I let her get the red shades and I went to P and she was playing with somebody else at me. So I thought she was my girl at the time. I think probably if no, she was loyal during those days. We will probably still be together today.
Starting point is 00:13:39 Man, stop it. No, I just I think we would because I mean, this night, I had loved her. I don't think you understand the importance of having a 64 box of Crayola crayons back in them days. I do that. That was like having a Ferrari or Lamborghini for us as kids. Sixty four box of Crayola crayons. You like I gave you three of my red color shade three different shades of red
Starting point is 00:14:05 I let you use them because you need to use them and when you go to pee you playing with Timothy Well, Timothy say he needed a shade of rain Hey boy after that well, she came we they came back to class I took my goddamn crayons back I ain't speed up about I speed up about two months don't even look my way that's all right it was talking to a Timothy products they don't worry about him he'll mean listen Timothy couldn't do nothing with her because he had a he only had a pack of crayons yeah his parents they gave the 64 box so that's the same you just talked about that message about 80, 20.
Starting point is 00:14:46 Yeah. She left the 80 for the 20%. But guess what? She said, you know what? Timothy said, I got eight pack and her, you got 64 pack and nothing. I take eight pack of her. That's fine.
Starting point is 00:15:00 That's fine. Cause she gonna do it. Hey, listen, the one thing about it, if she did it to me, she gonna do it to you. It was that's okay. I'm trying to think 12. What grade you in in 12? Oh, Joe.
Starting point is 00:15:14 Eight. Well, don't get me. Don't get me to land. Probably seventh grade. Don't give me the land. Yeah. I ain't saying nothing because I already told you my cast get going with a lot because I'm me the land. Yeah. I ain't saying nothing because I already told you my casket go away a lot
Starting point is 00:15:31 because I'm taking a lot of is to my grave. I just want you to know I'm going to need some strong brothers. I'm going to need six of the strongest brothers I got. You all got because my casket going to be extra heavy. Oh, Joe, I've taken is to my grave. I'm taking it. So, oh, oh no. I'm trying to 12. Did I have to? Well, I even, man, not, not in the seventh grade. Eighth grade.
Starting point is 00:16:02 Nah. Wasn't no girlfriend, you know. Yeah. I mean, she had a boyfriend, but I had no girlfriend. Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Well, you was on Demon Time back in the 60s, huh? Man, that was those 60s, man. That's a damn hell roll with you. Hell roll with you, man.
Starting point is 00:16:23 Man, that was late 70s. Okay. with you. Hell roll with you, man. Man, that was late 70s. OK, 60s, 70s, all the same ain't long. No. No. Yeah, I mean, I know some people that that that that day to day, I mean, was with their girls since they were like 1213 14. Yeah. Oh, I don't I don't know. I got a lot. I got a lot of class. I got a lot of classmates that have been together. Yeah. Yeah. They've been together since they were like, like the 10th grade. You know what I would have? I would have to think. But honestly.
Starting point is 00:17:07 I don't know anybody. And it's commendable. For Brother Drake may to be able to be doing this. Yeah, for sure. I don't think you understand. Yeah, every everybody is a pickle in today's time. Oh, yeah. Well, you think is on to the next or everybody's replaceable and,
Starting point is 00:17:25 oh, everybody is replaceable no matter what, no matter what you may think or what you may feel about yourself, but everybody is replaceable, but they just bounce and bounce and bounce and just keep on bouncing until they find one that sticks. Yeah. I'm Julian Edelman. I'm Rob Gronkowski.
Starting point is 00:17:41 Guess what, folks? We're teammates again. And we're gonna welcome you guys all to Dudes on Dudes. I'm a dude, you're a dude, and Dudes on Dudes is our brand new show. We're going to highlight players, peers, guys that we played against, legends from the past, and we're just going to sit here and talk about them, and we'll get into the types of dudes. What kind of types of dudes are there, girls? We got studs, wizards. We got freaks.
Starting point is 00:18:05 Or dudes dude. We got dogs. Dogs. We'll break down their games. We'll share some insider stories and determine what kind of dude each of these dudes are. Is Randy Moss a stud or a freak? Is Tom Brady a dog or a dudes dude?
Starting point is 00:18:20 We're going to find out, Jules. New episodes drop every Thursday during the NFL season. Starting point is 00:18:45 The referee, the coach, the expert. My next season is all about fans and what the rise of sports betting is doing to them, to the teams, and even to my family. I'm heading to Las Vegas and New Jersey and beyond to understand America's newest form of legalized gambling. Listen to Against the Rules on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. The 2024 presidential race is upon us, and the stakes couldn't be higher. But the outcome of the election might not be clear until long after everyone has voted. If the race ends up being as close as it looks
Starting point is 00:19:25 right now, we could be in for a repeat, or worse, for the year 2000, when election night dragged on for 36 days. 36 days of uncertainty and lawsuits and hardcore political combat. To hear the whole story, check out Fiasco Bush v. Gore, a six-part podcast from the co-creators of Slow Burn, and find out how a statistical tie in Florida put the 2000 election in an unprecedented holding pattern, with the entire nation waiting with bated breath to find out whether Al Gore or George W. Bush would be the next president of the United States. It's a story about how history is made and what we should expect if it comes back for an encore.
Starting point is 00:20:07 Listen on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, James Brown, BB King, Miriam Makeba. I shook up the world. James Brown said, said love. And Mekia said, I'm black and I'm proud. Black boxing stars and black music royalty together in the heart of Zaire, Africa. Three days of music and then the boxing event. What was going on in the world at the time made this fight as important as anything else is going on on the planet.
Starting point is 00:20:40 My grandfather laid on the ropes and let George Foreman basically just punch himself out. Welcome to Rumble, the story of a world in transformation. The 60s and prior to that you couldn't call a person black. And how we arrived at this peak moment. I don't have to be what you want me to be. We all came from the continent of Africa. Listen to Rumble, Ali, Foreman, and the Soul of 74 on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Maria Konikova.
Starting point is 00:21:19 And I'm Nate Silver. And our podcast, Risky Business, is a show about making better decisions. Both Nate and I are journalists who moonlight as poker players. We've both won, and I have to say lost, hundreds of thousands of dollars playing poker. And poker is a lens that we're going to use to approach this entire show because poker isn't just about playing cards. It's actually about how to make good decisions. It's an entire
Starting point is 00:21:46 framework for thinking about the world. In addition to poker, we'll be talking about the wide world of gambling, so sports betting, for example, plus the news, politics, it is an election year, and personal decisions too. Like whether I should call a plumber or fix my shower myself. Tune into Risky Business every Thursday. Listen on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. Hey, I take my hat off to you, boy. Yeah, hey, Drake, you hell.
Starting point is 00:22:23 The boy. Yeah, Drake, you hell, the boy. Whoo. The way they be looking now? Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I ain't looking, but I'm looking if that makes sense. It makes perfect sense. Yeah. I'm looking, but I ain't looking.

They got them things sitting there that train ain't gonna even touch the ground. Listen, I know what you mean. I don't want to react too much. I don't want to get too happy and excited by what you're saying.
Starting point is 00:23:00 But I'm picking up what you're putting down. I'm gonna leave it at that. These women today, hey. These women are on another level. It's another set of ads that's watching right now. I don't want no problems at home. And Real, Real, Real, don't, don't, don't, don't hit him upside his head when he come in the door.
Starting point is 00:23:17 But I'll show, woo, boy, these women today. Yeah, man, it's different. It's different, it's different. I'm glad I'm in my 50s. Cause they get off, if I was in my 30s they get all my little NFL money I Love it. I love it. Yep. All of it. Oh Joe Man Yeah, I'm gonna work me a good three four four more years, Ocho. You shut it down?
Starting point is 00:23:46 I'm gonna deactivate everything. Whoa! I'm falling off the grid. I don't know about that one. I'm going off the grid, Ocho. That's the only way you can survive, bro. Now you can survive on the grid too. All you need is a little discipline. I got discipline. That's why I'm gonna get on the grid too. All you need is a little discipline. I got discipline.
Starting point is 00:24:05 That's why I'm gonna get off the grid. Now I just wanna live happily ever after. You can live happily ever after. Raise my kids. You know what I'm saying Ocho? I'm gonna have to be two? I'm happy to go kids. You done told me it too, don't you? There you go.

I think you done found somebody and you tell me about it, but I'm happy for you, boy. I'm happy for you. Yes, you know what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:24:44 Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey? I'm happy. Let's go. I don't know. Look, I need to have like a seven year old. Right. My nerves man. Yeah. But I think listen, you start knowing man, that'd be good for you. Keep it young, keep it young. Make you feel like a spring chicken again. Make you feel like a young boy. Imagine.

Somebody that's in the house that when the baby cry, they get them and feed them and change them and do everything. Oh, okay, okay, okay, okay. You gotta be careful with that. Now, you know, you always hear weird stories about people, you know,

Starting point is 00:27:39 Oh, he definitely get his buddy worth out of there. So we go in there, flight delayed. Oh, man. It is. So instead of leaving at such and such a time, we gonna leave at this time. Okay. Right.
Starting point is 00:27:54 I get down to Ocho, they delayed the flight again in between me walking down there. But you know what, no problem. There are a lot of pilots that's based out of Salt Lake City. So it shouldn't be a problem. No problem. There are a lot of pilots that's based out of Salt Lake City. So it shouldn't be a problem. No problem. Two hours later, so we go, Oh, Jordan, I go back to the crime room. We two hours later, he hit me. Boss, they say we born at 1030. Oh, Lord, have mercy.
Starting point is 00:28:23 So, Shelly always on top of things when I'm traveling, Shelly don't go to bed until I get to the destination where I'm supposed to be. She goes ahead and books Jordan and I on the last flight that's out, that's 11.15. Right. Cool. So we walk down to the gate, pilots are on their way.
Starting point is 00:28:46 Every pilot walk by Jordan, I'm like I told you that might be them Jordan. I think that's them Jordan. They walk by the gate. That ain't them. So here comes to us a Jordan. That's them. You see how they walk in. They walk in looking they slowing down.
Starting point is 00:28:58 They hit that hit that right. That's them Jordan. That's them. Open the door. They get down to play. That lady gonna come on the thing to about this flight has been canceled. Next flight.
Starting point is 00:29:09 Hell no. That's exactly what I see. I say, y'all knew that. Y'all knew that all the God dang old law that y'all wouldn't get this plane out there. So you were stuck in Utah? We are, we got on. So you were stuck in Utah? We are we got on.
Starting point is 00:29:32 So like I said, shelly had booked shelly booked Jordan on the 1115. Yes, sir. So we got a we are a 36. We weighed out of a a Y'all can only walk so fast or Joe. Yeah my hips I've been a bit on my feet all day. Oh Joe. So I
Starting point is 00:30:01 Know you're irritable. Yeah So I, I, I, you hear, I know you're irritable. Oh Joe, but check this out. We had got, Oh, we go take off. Even though we were delayed, we get on the plane. Right. I'm sitting. Oh Joe, this is how I operate. Normally people like, Hey, how you doing? Hey, I'm good, fine, how are you? If somebody, if you ask a person, oh, how you doing? And they don't say, I'm doing fine, how are you? Right. Or where you headed?
Starting point is 00:30:34 They don't wanna talk. Right. Hey, how you doing? I'm doing good. That's me, that's it. Oh, where you headed? That's me. That's that. That's it. Oh, where are you headed? So I get well, oh, Joe, I get.
Starting point is 00:30:54 Well, you don't talk much, huh? So by this time, the pilot comes on says, well. uh, um, Oh Joe, we're supposed to be able to get out. You know, we're close to our hours, but we're going to be able to get out on time. So we're going to be just fine. They back up a half an inch. Oh, there's a, there's something going on with the steering maintenance. Oh hell.
Starting point is 00:31:24 Oh Joe, I've got 6,000 hours flying this plane, flying these 320s and I've never seen this problem before. Man, you know damn well it ain't no problem. Y'all at the hours, you're up against the hours and you're not gonna be able to get out. You wanna make it seem like it's a plane. So, we wait. So now Ocho, Lamb 15, we getting on the fly.
Starting point is 00:31:46 Right. It just so happens, the guy that was sitting next to me, he already on the plane. Now I took my glasses off Ocho, the Haji boy and coach. They talk about, give me that book back, George. They talk about cut. You never made your way. Hey, so, you know, everybody, everybody get on the plane.
Starting point is 00:32:16 They got backpack person. They hear all of Simon here. I'm just doing this right here. All over shoulders are him. I say, come on, man. Hey over shoulders. I said, oh hell. I said, come on man. Hey. George, I mean, Ocho, I'm sitting like this here. Oh, so you ain't have an exit row. Ocho, I would prefer to sit by the window.
Starting point is 00:32:37 For the simple fact, everybody walking by, they hit me with their purse or their backpack or whatever they got across their shoulders. Right. Well, I would love to be on that plane for that. Well, we had a good time. Oh, because Ash Ash flew, flew Greyhound or the skies. And that's Trailways. Ash flew Southwest. OK, OK, OK, OK. And that's Trailways. South West. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:33:09 Okay. Okay. Listen, you wouldn't have had no interest if you was on Spirit. You would have got where you wanted to go. No, I wouldn't. No, I wouldn't. I said, you know what, Ocho? My prayers, a lot of my prayers the last three months, I've been asking God for patience.
Starting point is 00:33:25 Yeah. So I got on the plier, I said, God, I know I've been asking you for patience, but I was hoping you would like push this thing down the road for a couple of months. I didn't need you to give me patience so soon. Listen, one thing about it, if you ask for something, you better be able and willing to receive it because he's going to test you right away. Oh, Joe, remember I tell you about the guy? He was sitting right beside me.
Starting point is 00:33:46 So I get on the plane, he already on the plane. Oh, there's my buddy. How you doing bud? Oh, he's not talking to me. He's upset because he's not in first class. Oh, one of those. Jordan say, boss, hey, it's okay. Just go to sit down.
Starting point is 00:34:01 Yeah, one of those. One of you know what, them guys that wanna be down. Yeah. One of those. One of, you know, one of them guys that want to be funny. Yeah. He always, you know, he wants to be the life of the party. At the wrong time. At the wrong time. Yes, yes, yes, yes. But actually guys, this is the first,
Starting point is 00:34:20 this is the first connect that I've had. Cause you know, when you fly like certain, certain places don't have direct flights, right? Right. So like we've done, uh, you know, Dallas and Houston and things like that, they don't have, uh, uh, Delta don't fly there. Do you have to fly something else? So I'll fly like that, but I was like, Oh no, but as miserable as I was, yeah, I know Delta's gonna make it right for me. So I don't even wanna talk about it no more.
Starting point is 00:34:50 I know Delta's gonna do the right thing. They gonna hook it up for me. They gonna hook it up for me. Ocho, now it's time for Q and A. Q and A. A is three, eight. It feels so cool being up this late. Well, I was up this late last night
Starting point is 00:35:10 because it'll be joy we just just led. Mario Chiquito said, what's up, Uncle Ocho? I love you all in the show. Ocho, next time you're in Cali, let me know if you need a work, if you need that work in the weight room. Oh, yeah, let me. I got you. I got you. By the time I go back to Cali I'd be in Cali um in two weeks oh yeah and Sean Merriman told me to tell you he won the winner of you and uh uh uh Deebo matter of fact man I beat the shit out of Sean Merriman man tell him stop playing me man this shit ain't no joke man I'm just saying that what
Starting point is 00:35:41 he's saying he's saying I'm just saying this is like life is not a joke man telling their consequences and repercussions behind the that what he's saying. He's saying, and I'm just saying this is like, life is not a joke, man. Tell him that consequences and repercussions behind the words that he's saying. Don't play with me, man. I'm listen, man. Hey, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not one of your kids, man. Sean, I know you're going to see this,
Starting point is 00:35:55 but I will literally, I will, I will punch your face off. Don't play with me, man. Frederick Baxter say, do y'all think Hunter should play on that, should y'all should play only defense because the second year getting hurt on offense, they needed more than a trans defense than office. This just killed his Heisman. What you think, Ocho? No, hell no. He ain't killed nothing. He ain't killed nothing. Just one game. Yeah, Quinn Uris missed two games, right? It ain't kill his Heisman. He's still nice. No running. No, yeah Okay, you'll see gente went over 200 again tonight, Ocho
Starting point is 00:36:32 Yeah You'll see he got over 1,206 games Ocho Damn I Damn, I know. And just think about what he would. He had one eighty six in the first half and then play again last week. He didn't play the second half. Hey, so are they purposely keeping him out purposely just so he can. He fresh. As fresh.
Starting point is 00:37:00 How many years I think he had? Oh, you think you think you think it hurts to the ice? We still got a long season to go now. Well, he got twelve hundred yards. So. Hold on, let me see. Genty had 31 carries, 217 yards, one touchdown. They. So now he has 1200, he has a hundred and what? 120, 31, 127 carries for over 1200 yards.
Starting point is 00:37:36 So he's averaging 10 yards a carry. I'm Julian Edelman. I'm Rob Granckowski. Guess what folks? We're teammates again and we're going to welcome you guys all to Dudes on Dudes. I'm a dude, you're a dude, and Dudes on Dudes is our brand new show. We're gonna highlight players, peers, guys that we played against, legends from the past, and we're just gonna sit here and talk about them. And we'll get into the types of dudes.
Starting point is 00:38:01 What kind of types of dudes are there, girls? We got studs, wizards, we got freaks, or dudes dudes. We got dogs. Dog! We'll break down their games, we'll share some insider stories and determine what kind of dude each of these dudes are. Is Randy Moss a stud or a freak? Is Tom Brady a dog or a dudes dude? We're gonna find out Jules! New episodes drop every Thursday during the NFL season. Listen to Dudes on Dudes on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey there, it's Michael Lewis, author of Going Infinite, Moneyball, The Blind Side, and Liar's Poker. On every season of my podcast Against the Rules, I take a broad look at various characters in American life.
Starting point is 00:38:45 The referee, the coach, the expert. I'm Maria Konikova.
Starting point is 00:39:16 And I'm Nate Silver. It's an entire framework for thinking about the world. In addition to poker, we'll be talking about the wide world of gambling, so sports betting,
Starting point is 00:39:49 for example, plus the news, politics, it is an election year, and personal decisions too. Like whether I should call a plumber or fix my shower myself. Tune into Risky Business every Thursday. Listen on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. The 2024 presidential race is upon us, and the stakes couldn't be higher. But the outcome of the election might not be clear until long after everyone has voted. If the race ends up being as close as it looks right now, we could be in for a repeat, or worse, for the year
Starting point is 00:40:25 2000, when election night dragged on for 36 days. It's a story about how history is made
Starting point is 00:40:59 and what we should expect if it comes back for an encore. Listen on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, James Brown, BB King, Miriam Makeba. I shook up the world. James Brown said, say it loud. And Mekia said, I'm black and I'm proud. Black boxing stars and black music royalty together in the heart of Zaire, Africa.
Starting point is 00:41:25 Three days of music and then the boxing event. What was going on in the world at the time made this fight as important as anything else is going on on the planet. My grandfather laid on the ropes and let George Foreman basically just punch himself out. Welcome to Rumble, the story of a world in transformation. The 60s and prior to that, you couldn't call a person black. And how we arrived at this peak moment.
Starting point is 00:41:52 I don't have to be what you want me to be. We all came from the continent of Africa. Listen to Rumble, Ali, Foreman, and the soul of 74 on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. You know, it makes you, you know what? I ain't, I'm not gonna say it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:42:23 That's, that's real good. It's dope. That's live That's like I went what would those numbers look like if he was playing in the SEC? It all depends on who he's what line he's playing behind, okay, he can run now because they're a team to try to get him In the portal. Oh, yeah to try to get him in the portal. Oh, yeah. But here's the thing, Ocho. I don't care. He runs for 2400, 2500 yards.
Starting point is 00:42:51 They don't matter. No matter where is that? It's it's it's. Yeah, you'll get that. Nice. Yeah, I didn't think anybody would go ever break Barry's record. Barry ran for 26, 28 and 35, 37 touchdowns. Yeah, right. For 2400 yards, 2500 yards, he go get that. Mm hmm. and 35, 37 touchdowns. He rushed for 2,400 yards, 2,500 yards Ocho.
Starting point is 00:43:07 He go get that island. News 864, Uncle Ocho, I know D on y'all boy, but Shiloh was good and terrible tonight. Be honest about it. Yeah. Shiloh just, he just coming back from a broken forearm, ain't he? First game back.
Starting point is 00:43:23 His timing was off. Yeah, his timing was off. You got Juke, then the hole, they have it to the best of them. Oh yeah, most definitely. One thing you, hey, you gotta close the distance. If you and him in the hole, you stop your feet, he gonna shake the inch out of you.
Starting point is 00:43:40 You gotta close it fast. Yeah. Once you check your feet, it's over. The best thing to do, Ocho, is to shoot your shot. Shoot, I'm telling you, you gotta shoot fast before you can make a move. You gotta get in there. And I'm not even a defender and I know that. Got to.
Starting point is 00:44:00 It's just like, hey, you in the club, you see her, go ahead and shoot your shot. Don't you like, hey man, I'm gonna wait until she come over here. Well, you in the club, you see her go and shoot your shot. Don't you? Hey man, I'm gonna wait. Did she come over here? Walk through. Do you see a big a beeline go right to it? Hey, what's your name? You run.
Starting point is 00:44:16 You know, I ain't never seen you before. Hey, taste it. What's up in 85. What was y'all first college choice? Had you been able to choose or did you go where you wanted to go? Nebraska. Bam. Nebraska.
Starting point is 00:44:31 I wanted to go to the corn huskers. Man, see a. New York, I had to have the jerseys rolled up and stuff. Excited all the bombs. Bad. Well, who was the quarterback then? Who was the quarterback? Nebraska was good then?
Starting point is 00:44:54 Oh, Nebraska, oh hell yeah. They running that wishbone though, right? Yeah, who was the quarterback? Turner Gill. Okay. Turner Gill was what I first started noticing Nebraska. Turner Gill, they had Mike Roger, they had Irving Fryer, Remington, the center that the ward is named after.
Starting point is 00:45:14 Right, right. The Remington Ward. He was there, Dean Steinkuler. You know, they had, you know, Neil Smith was on defense and they had Sandman, Roderick Thomas. Oh, they were, Neil Smith was on defense and they had the same man, Roderick Thomas. Oh, they were the black shirts. It was that. Yeah, I mean, obviously not really knowing much
Starting point is 00:45:31 about college growing up. Just grandma and mama forcing me to go to the classic. Oh, I wanted to go to fam. I want to go to fam. Obviously from a football standpoint, UM, the U would have probably been my choice. But as a kid growing up, I wanted to go to FAM and I wanted to be in the band.
Starting point is 00:45:51 I wanted to be in the band and play football. We're a combination and just, I have a fascination for music, instruments. I know a lot of people don't even know I play, my grandma forced me to play piano and saxophone. So that's where that decision and choice came from if I had my choice. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:10 But the best decision I made was going to Savannah State. I really, the only time that we really heard about a black college Ocho was Lou Rawls, the United Negro College Fund. College Fund, I knew you was gonna say, yeah. That was it, I didn't even know Savannah State existed. Hell, I grew up 65 miles from it. You heard about Gramlan and Southern and all those.
Starting point is 00:46:32 And I never went on a visit to Savannah State. Coach Davis came to recruit me, told me, say son, if I was an NFL user and I could draft, you'd be the number one draft pick. Best decision, the best decision, had a little help. My brother said I was gonna go to Savannah State. I didn't really give me a whole lot of choice in the matter, but I definitely went and man,
Starting point is 00:46:59 probably one of the four or five greatest decisions I've ever made. Cyril P. said, how feasible is putting one of them quotes on every bottle of La Portier? Not very feasible. Tell him, I got the book right, listen, hold on there. I got the book right here. It's like that black book, you know,
Starting point is 00:47:16 you had your phone numbers? I got the book. Yeah, you know what? They talk about how to email and the phones get you in trouble. Think about how many numbers that you done wrote down on that piece of paper that got you in trouble, that you forgot about. And the old lady cleaned it out of them pants pocket. And that number come out.
Starting point is 00:47:40 Malik Jones said, Uncan Ocho love the show. It's my daughter's Ivy's first birthday. Can y'all give her a shout out? Much love. Keep being great, fellas. Ivy, we can sure can Malik. Ivy, happy birthday. Happy first birthday. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:47:55 Well, how old do they start letting kids eat real food? Like nine months, 10 months, a year? Year? Oh, she got some solid. Oh yeah, oh yeah. She got some solid food. She eat birthday cake. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:08 Happy birthday to you. With him? Happy birthday to you. Hey, believe, Jordan said he was in the airport with you. Is that how you got through? Jordan said he was in the airport with a boy with his first daughter's first birthday. So happy first birthday Ivy Malik. Congratulations bro. Thank you for your support.
Starting point is 00:48:36 Edwin Barito. Uncle Nojo cheers from Puerto Rico. Man I need to make my way down to Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico, man. I need to make my way down to Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico. I need to make my way down to Puerto Rico, the Dominican. You know. I hear her stories. Yeah, He was in the airport with Jordan. You going with me, with you? Yeah, why are you telling me?
Starting point is 00:49:11 We going to Puerto Rico? Yeah, I can't go by myself with you. You said, oh, we going to DR too? And you said you heard a story, what kind of story? So I have a better understanding of what I'm getting myself into and how I'm gonna get myself out of it. I don't know. It's just something like, you know, it's just the way they talk.
Starting point is 00:49:34 Oh, oh, oh, oh, I speak Spanish so I can translate for you anything you want to know. Okay. Because I poppy, you know, I didn't, I didn't want to hear it. Go poppy you I do I do want to hear company Popping the chocolate. Yeah, that what I want to hear. I think Bob and the chocolate Chocolate and I only know that's afraid but it sounds good. I want to hear say it. Oh Don't go to the Dominican Republic. Why not? Oh, man. Oh, Joe says a good place to go. I'm a thing. I'm gonna have to go. I'm sorry. Yeah. Oh, the BBL center, man. I ain't gonna get no BBL. And the women in the middle the day got the way they need a BBL. They already got built like that.
Starting point is 00:50:27 Yeah, I think, I think it's that they're heavy though. Um, is that they have. Oh, it'd be BBS. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think that's where everyone goes.
