Listen to the Move the Podcast on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Simone Boyce, host of the Brightside podcast, and on this week's episode, I'm talking to
Starting point is 00:02:10 Olympian, World Cup Champion, and podcast host, Ashlyn Harris. My worth is not wrapped up in how many things I've won, because what I came to realize is I valued winning so much that once it was over, I got the blues, and I was like, this is it. For me, it's the pursuit of greatness. It's the journey. It's the people. It's the failures. It's the heartache.
Starting point is 00:02:37 Listen to the bright side on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Oh, okay. We got a special guest joining us, right? We got Kamani Vidal joining us out of Marietta High School with Detroit, uh, drafting the sixth round of the 2024 draft. Kamani, how you doing, bro? I'm good. How about you?
Starting point is 00:03:02 I'm doing great, man. Hey, hold on. Troy, uh, uh, DeMarcus Lauren, DeMarcus, where went to Troy? Yeah, yeah, he did. Y'all, y'all got a little program down there doing a little something out of there. Yeah, yeah, man. We got, we got a little, we got a little, we got a little history. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:19 Marietta High School. Uh, is that with the name of the high school? You didn't go to Wheeler or you went to Marietta High, right? Yeah, Marietta. Okay. Y'all got a good little program down there? Yeah, we do. We've had some good players come from there. I mean, when I was there, we, I mean, we were ranked like,
Starting point is 00:03:36 I can't remember exactly the ranking we had, but we were, I mean, we were up there with, you know, St. John Bosco and all of them. Oh, okay, okay. USA Today, top 25. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, max preps. Okay. So, okay, you get drafted in the sixth round, 2024 draft, and obviously, you know, Jim, I mean, John, Jim Harbaugh,
Starting point is 00:04:01 he loves to run the football, but, but, you know, you see they're like, damn, they went and got a number one draft pick that was with the Steelers. What is that going to do for me? What's your mindset coming into this season? Just to prove myself, you know, they was going to make whatever decision they felt like the team needed to make. So, you know, I was just trying to just prove them,
Starting point is 00:04:25 I mean, you know, kind of like, prove them wrong honestly uh you know it's used as motivation for myself and they took a hold on and they took a they took a running back in the first round you're like hold on you y'all y'all must have got i'm come on bro yeah oh so y'all go just disrespect me y'all go take a down take a running back in the first round and you're going to sign a running back in free agency and i'm sitting up here okay i'm a show y'all i got something for y'all I mean, not only that, I mean, they, they come in at the beginning of the season, and I was on practice squad. So, I mean, that was, that was even more motivation.
Starting point is 00:05:09 Hey, Dale, what, what has your experience been like, you know, so far? Obviously, you got drafted in 2024, regardless of who they bought in, regards, oh, come on. Hey, listen, regardless of who they brought in, how has your experience in NFL been so far? it's been great honestly i love the NFL you know it's highly competitive you know guys are in their opportunities and and they run away with it that's what i'm trying to do bad oh cho he got he got hey don't worry i'm sorry camani i mean he got he got he got faulty equipment he tried his best though he tried it hey hey k i bought a new camera new laptop i'm really not i'm not i'm not tech savvy with this stuff and you know my camera wasn't
Starting point is 00:05:53 We can tell. We can tell. And I got a cam, a cam link and this Elgado thing. And all I know how to do is play FIFA. That's it. That's all I do. So I apologize for that, but that's it. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:06:06 Oh, go ahead. Why have you been able to have such success? You mentioned, you played, you know, you got an opportunity, you got drafted in 24, and you come in and then, you know, take a running back in the first round, they sign a running back that was a first round draft pick, they cut you, you're on the practice squad, how have you've been able to keep focus because a lot of people would get, man, damn, I ain't going to get a chance to play. They took a running back in the first round.
Starting point is 00:06:30 They brought a free agent running back in here. Man, I ain't going to never get an opportunity to really show what I can do by getting touches. And it worked out because guess what? Unfortunately, not you didn't wish this on anybody. Running back, both of the running backs go down. This is your opportunity to show. You know what? We got a good one.
Starting point is 00:06:49 Hey, we're not going to lose a step. yeah i mean i i knew there was a chance that even if you know i wasn't able to get on the the active roster at uh the charges that um you know a team can still claim you so you know i was just working off of hope off of that you know just like using not playing the game to my advantage you know like just almost like using that almost like a mini like a like a little mini off season almost yes and i i love that i love that you said that because you're like, man, I just want an opportunity. I'm just going to go out there work hard
Starting point is 00:07:25 and maybe somebody need a running back and they come get your boy. But my opportunity, you know, the preseason, run hard when giving an opportunity, make sure I go through my assignment. They throw me the ball like catch it. If it's time for me to pass block, I pass block. And when they hand me that rock, I'm going to it because you never know.
Starting point is 00:07:41 There are 31 other teams other than the charges and I love to be with the charges. But if it doesn't work out for the charges, hey, guess what? Maybe it works out somewhere else. Yeah. yeah exactly that we got we got a you got a very very interesting great uncle the hammering Hank Hank Aaron is your great uncle I mean what I mean did you ever take him to school for show and tail come on no I mean no no no he but shoot by that time I mean he was
Starting point is 00:08:20 he had a hip surgery and you know he was a you know but I mean it was a cool little icebreaker to have
Starting point is 00:08:29 like as a you know you know you know who my uncle is hey I bet you don't know who my great uncle is I guess you can't
Starting point is 00:08:35 yeah two truths in the line always always catch him um who would you say you patty who do you say would you padding your game after
Starting point is 00:08:46 uh I'll probably say like um Kind of like Josh Jacobs Okay, okay, I can see that I can see that That's a good one Man, you called me my parlay too How I do that?
Starting point is 00:09:01 Because you weren't supposed to get 55 yards You got damn near 130 Hey man, that's the week before The week I based it on the week before I said man he ain't getting no cares I said well he ain't gonna do that the next thing I know And then you had like 20 yards
Starting point is 00:09:15 They had you bottled up Next thing you know You break off my 40 yard there go my parlay and then you're like i ain't satisfied with that i'm gonna get me a couple more 10 15 yarders hey i say hey that's that's that's that hey that's not i tell you what that's on that's on that's on you that's on you and the next parley come up and you and i'm taking it over hey okay what else you'd like to do outside of football man everybody has their passions obviously our job is football and once this football season but what do you have to get when when
Starting point is 00:09:45 you want to reset when you want to recharge mentally and get away from the game of football. What is it that you like to do that you're passionate about? I like to have a dog. I like to play with him. What kind? He like a- Oh, there, go right there.
Starting point is 00:10:05 Yeah. He like a lab mix. Okay. There you go right there. He said, man, look here. Let me get some time, man. Hey, somebody might have a female dog out here. Want to holl at you, boy.
Starting point is 00:10:19 but yeah uh no i like i like to play with him um i like to read play some video games and what what video games you play i i don't play pf i'm gonna go ahead and tell you that no yeah for real i when i when i'm when i'm when i'm when i'm when i'm when i'm away from football i got to get away i can't okay you oh and you disconnect completely yeah yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, I play, like, the little, like, the single-player games, like, uh... You play Cod? Yeah, yeah, oh, yeah. Okay. Yeah, I play, I play, I play, uh, battlefield. I know, I know...
Starting point is 00:10:59 Hey, that doesn't have to start playing. I'm gonna have to start playing. I'm gonna have a, uh, what's your, what's your line name? I'm gonna have them start playing, man. Yeah, you tag. What's your tag? Stop playing, man. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I'm going to make sure I'll make sure I get him. He don't call me my parlor. He got, hey, his character got a down card. I got to get back.
Starting point is 00:11:28 You're going to be my first victim. Hey, hey, give me, give me your top five. Give me your top five running backs. To probably say, I mean, Jonathan Taylor, I mean, he balling right now. Yeah. Gibbs. I like, yeah. Bijon.
Starting point is 00:11:53 Mm-hmm. Man, it's a lot of good backs. Man. They don't clip me on this one. I mean, you got, hey, bro, look at the list that you gave. J.T., Bejon, you still got Sequin out there. You still got King Henry. You still got Josh Jacobs.
Starting point is 00:12:15 You got James Cook. Aaron Jones. Yeah, I got, I got, I got Cook. I got put Cook and, um, Christian. Oh, McCab. Okay, yeah, see? Yeah, that's a nice little list there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:29 That's a good list. Yeah, they're going to clip you because you didn't put Sequin or Dan Henry in there. Yeah, I know. I try, I tried to get y'all in there. I tried to get you into King Henry and Kwan, but he said, no, them, them his picks right there. So now that you know, you, y'all, have y'all, have y'all had your buy week yet? No, not yet. Have you thought about what you're going to do in the buy week or you just take it a week late?
Starting point is 00:12:56 Let me get, let me get to the buy week and then I'll decide what I'm going to do right now. I'm in the thick of it. No, yeah, yeah. I'm waiting until we get to the buy. I have no idea what we're going to do. Well, what I'm going to do. Had you had family come see you play yet? Huh?
Starting point is 00:13:11 Have you had family come see you play yet? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, we are, actually, I have some family in Miami, and when we played in Miami, they all came out. That's laugh. There ain't no better feeling than that way. Man, look, that's unbelievable, man. Best of luck, man, congratulations. Look, you didn't put your head down.
Starting point is 00:13:34 A lot of people would have went into a shell, given the circumstances, they draft the running back, sign the free agent running back. You get released, signed to the practice squad, but you didn't hang your head. When my opportunity to come, I'm going to do what I'm supposed to do. I know what I'm capable of doing. So, man, congratulations. Keep your head up. Stay healthy, bro.
Starting point is 00:13:51 Stay healthy. And best of luck down the road. Appreciate that. Appreciate it, man. Have a good one. Your camera jumped off again, don't you? You're looking right at me. The force is shaping the world's economies and financial markets can be hard to spot.
Starting point is 00:14:08 Even though they are such a powerful player in finance, you wouldn't really know that you are interacting with. them. And even harder to understand. Donald Trump's trade war 2.0 is only accelerating the process of de-dollarization, which in a way is jargon for people turning away from the dollar. That is where the big take from Bloomberg podcast comes in to connect the dots. How unusual is a deal like this? Unprecedented. Every weekday afternoon, we dive deep into one big global business story. The biggest story of the reaction of the oil market to the conflict in the Middle East is one of what has not happened.
Starting point is 00:14:46 Katie, you told me that ETFs are your favorite thing. They are. Explain that. Why is that the case? And unpack what it means for you. Our breakfast foods are consistent consumer staples, and so they sort of become outsized indicators of inflation.

Listen to the Brightside on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:18:19 Oh, my bad. Days after the LSU-Fired football coach, Brian Kelly, athletic director Scott Woodward is leaving the university as well. The decision comes following remarks from Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry that criticized Woodward's decision-making. I can tell you right now, Scott Woodward is not selected in the next said, coach, hell, I'll let Donald Trump select him before I let him do it. The board of supervisors is going to come up with the committee that's going to find us a coach.
Starting point is 00:18:47 Woodward was the one that hired Kelly in 2021, but after a rather disappointing tenure, resulted in the coach's dismissal on October 26th, LSU owes Kelly approximately 54 million. Langerie reportedly had a hand, oh, a handle of LSU's firing of Kelly. well damn and has appointed nine of the 18 board members supervisors damn that will apparently lead the search for a new coach baton rude native a lusiana grad had been the tiger's athletic director since 2019 when they won the national championship in his tenure he hired kim mulkey as the basketball coach won a national championship and baseball coach jay johnson won a national championship uh obviously we know in 2019 that was one of the greatest teams ever assembled with Joe Burrow and Jetta and Chase Clyde Edwards Allaire. They had Red Fad Moss.
Starting point is 00:19:46 They had Patrick Queen. I think Stingley was on that style. Grant Dell Pitt. So we know what LSU represented in 2019, but unfortunately when you spend that kind of money and you're not getting the results that you hope to get. You got to go.
Starting point is 00:20:02 Hey, listen, there's a committee of people who pick can choose who you want to have to be the coach obviously always look for someone with experience that has coached in the past that has had success wherever they've been but the only people only person we hear about is the coach the coach that gets fired and his staff and his staff and everyone else having to uproot but they also need to hold the people accountable who are responsible for continuing to pick these coaches and they keep getting fired and they keep getting fired. To me,
Starting point is 00:20:38 I think they should try going in a different direction. I think they should try going in a different direction. What if it What direction is that? I mean, try going with someone that knows the game of football that might not have any coach experience that wants to coach. That ain't happening. Not in no major
Starting point is 00:20:54 university. Yeah. Yeah, I understand. But, hey, so you want one? Because think about the budget data, think about all the programs you got. As an, as a, as a, as a, as a head coach at the end of the SEC? Hey, think about it.
Starting point is 00:21:11 At LSU? Think about it. You heard what you just said? Head coach SEC at LSU. Head coach. Yes. Shannon. Elofius Sharp.
Starting point is 00:21:23 No, sir. Everybody knows I want no part of coaching. I don't have the patience. I barely had patience as a player. This is LSU though. We talk about LSU. You is the head coach in the boot. I won't know part of that
Starting point is 00:21:39 think about the discipline the structure that you have provided to that university something they man them kids will love that man and I can come on I could be your assistant no I like this right here
Starting point is 00:21:50 I got something we got something into wood we got something into working right now that don't involve coaching trust me okay I'm gonna be busy you go be busy
Starting point is 00:22:02 we don't have time to be coaching listen you you you have to stop when when doors open and you need to see what you need to let God use you you you need to let God use you sometimes because like it's like the signs are there but you're not really seeing the signs and the opportunities are there and you really not seeing it because you're not allowing yourself to be used by the Lord there's a reason there's a reason why that job opportunity open and it's calling your name yeah Penn State open too there are a lot of jobs Florida open
Starting point is 00:22:36 FSU's going to probably be open. There's going to be a lot of jobs to open. Unfortunately, me, my head ain't going into the race. I don't want to coach. I've never wanted to coach. All right. I don't have the, I know me, Ocho. I'm too, I'm too obsessive.
Starting point is 00:22:49 I'm too structured. I'm too disciplined. That's exactly what those students need. Imagine you bring another natty to, well, you're, man, you would be a legend, boy. A legend. You're already a legend. I mean, you'll be a, you know.
Starting point is 00:23:05 Yeah, I'm good. I don't want it. I don't want it. Hey, call Coach Prime. Coach Prime, Melissa. But I got, I got nothing to offer it for a coach. Individuals call and ask me how should they handle certain situations. I'll give you the best advice I possibly can.
Starting point is 00:23:21 But as far as coaching and getting, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't got that kind of time. I did, I did everything I could when I played. And I know what it takes to be a coach, because I've seen coaches. And when it's done right and it's done at a high level. I ain't got $100 a week to put in, oh, Joe. Listen, if you wanted to, you would because you had 100, you had 100 hours, you know, to put into football. You had 100 hours to put into what you loved and what you like to do
Starting point is 00:23:47 because you understood it were going to be able to provide for you and your family. And for those that sacrifice you for you to get to that point. Now, I'm only, I continue to say this over and over, and I'm harping on it the way I am because I had a dream about it. Okay, and it was on my heart. And that's why I meant, this is my second time mentioning it, man. because I got like I'm sleeping and he told me listen I need you to relate this message to him on the platform because obviously I'm not getting through to him no I would consider if your camera start running out but since they that won't do that no coach it for me yeah go back and look I understand coach it ain't for everyone yeah I understand everybody can you know twirl or whistle a blow a whistle and whistle and a lot of guys understand actions and those
Starting point is 00:24:36 but I just, that ain't, that ain't, that ain't my heart, Ocho. I got you. I got you. All right. My bad. My bad. But it's, I mean, at some point in time,
Starting point is 00:24:47 they're going to start putting all these buys in there. Stop giving all these damn 10-year contracts. Whatever happened to four or five-year contracts, Ocho. Omega-3, shit. I mean, you put a coach out there 10 million. I think Kirby buy out of the $118 million. What? Not that Kirby's going anywhere, but I'm just saying.
Starting point is 00:25:05 Yeah, he's not going to where. Ah, no, man. I mean, you don't have to give a coach a 10-year contract. You don't. Give him four or five years. I think the 10-year contract, it just looked good. No, it's to try to deter them from going up, from going us with it. To do it with Brian Kelly jump, you know, how he left Cincinnati and went to
Starting point is 00:25:31 Notre Dame and how he left Notre Dame and went the LSU. They're trying to deter guys from doing that. So we're like, look, we're going to give you long-term security. We're going to give you a $100 million deal over 10 years. Okay, okay, I'll stay. But nah, man, y'all got to stop doing that. If they go, they go.
Starting point is 00:25:49 They weren't meant to be there anyway. But, I mean, look, at some point in time, look, I've heard a lot of people over the last since this Friday has come out. I'm just trying to find the one person that's going to say something good about Brian Kelly. Ain't anybody saying that. Just one person, one former player, just somebody.
Starting point is 00:26:09 Say, man, he was, damn. Anyway, I just want, chat, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe in Louisiana, there are a lot of kids that's coming out and speaking up on his behalf. But I damn sure haven't seen any on my timeline. And I've been trying to scour it. So I don't really know what's going on. He didn't strike me as an LSU type of a guy. But, you know, he said,
Starting point is 00:26:31 He wanted to go compete for a national championship. That's what he said. All I know is, is that he hadn't been close. Notre Dame competed for a national championship last year and they're in the process of doing it again this year. That's what I know. Now, could they go back and Marcus Freeman? If I'm at any university,
Starting point is 00:26:54 Marcus Freeman is going to have to tell me no three times. And then I'm going to call his wife. I'm going to get his wife number. this is the athletic director LSU we got a lot of money on the table for your husband you really like it down here if you can just get him down here we love to show you around
Starting point is 00:27:12 we know you have five or six kids but there are a lot of great private schools around here you know hey everything's going to be taken care of I'm going to make Marcus Freeman tell me no three times just three he's going to have to tell me no three times and change his number
Starting point is 00:27:28 let me tell you something up because I'm going to call him back I bet you don't know who this is. You know, any time you have to ask something more than two times, that's damn near begging, huh? Hey, what TLC say? I ain't too proud to beg. You're talking about one of the great coaches.
Starting point is 00:27:46 You got, look, there ain't no more Nick Saban's out there. Kirby ain't leaving Georgia. Hey, I mean, could Lane possibly leave L.O. Miss? I don't know. I think Lane probably would only leave for Alabama. or something like that, but seem like Kaelin de Boers, after what he's turned this season around, he's not going anywhere.
Starting point is 00:28:06 But Marcus Freeman is my first call for every job, and he's going to tell me no three times. Oh, you see, you see Mr. Franklin? Oh, come on. You see Mr. Franklin just got, uh, is going over to Virginia Tech, huh? Oh, James Franklin? Yeah, you see it? I didn't.
Starting point is 00:28:22 Mr. Franklin is getting ready to sign a deal over it, over at Virginia Tech. Just that, just that fast. Yeah, but their expectation, I mean, when you make that big money, Ocho, you know what comes along with big money, big expectations. I mean, I would, man, they're not paying, you know, eight, nine, ten, limb, 12, $13 million to do what? Not winning a conference title, not compete for a national title.
Starting point is 00:28:53 But you also have to understand this, those that are in position of power. That's not, that's not been confirmed, Ocho. Oh, it hasn't? no that must have been a fake tweet then but listen what i want to say the people in positions of power that pay these coaches this money even though you pay that kind of money you know it's not guaranteed that you're going to win an ad it's not guaranteed it's not guaranteed that you you hope for no to to get there and get the right get the right players you know through nil to give you a better chance of reaching it but it doesn't guarantee nothing
Starting point is 00:29:27 I'm going to just I'm going to just switch to my uh my laptop camera yeah it's uh no there ain't no guarantee but you know with with those facilities that they got at us you they just renovated they probably spent 20 30 million dollars renovate the facility yeah and bra bad yeah no they're not been to they're not going to let you do that you got you got you got to produce you right You said you was going there.
Starting point is 00:29:58 The facilities, the money that they invested in you, the invested in the coaches, the money that they invested in the NIL, the upgrade to the facilities. And that's not good enough. What are we looking at? Oh, Lord. Ocho, what you are doing?
Starting point is 00:30:20 That ain't me? Oh, Joe, after the Bengals lost to the Jets, a season ticket holder called to cancel his team. tickets for the next season. Here's how it wins. If you cancel your season tickets, how'd it go? I called today to cancel my bingo season tickets for next year, and the whole conversation felt super guilty, trippy, and argumentative.
Starting point is 00:30:40 I was asked if I only wanted to be a season ticket holder when we go to the playoffs, and I'm just being emotional for losing to the Jets. They asked me, they asked, why was I unhappy? So I said that I'm frustrated with the front office, mainly the lack of real scouting department bad drafts and how the prices keep going up steeply every year since i joined instead of just taking the feedback they got defensive and saying things like the front office who drafted joe burrow and t higgins the last thing being asked to me if i wanted the cheap tickets or paid jemar chase and t higgins hey hold on that's what y'all doing now ocho
Starting point is 00:31:20 that's what you're doing trying to make the people feel guilty y'all being argumentative Cho's that really what you're doing you really think that's real it's the bingoes feed okay pull up the bingoes feed on your thing on your Twitter let's see what it look like well when you say bingles feed what Twitter pull it up like the actual team bingles Reddit the bingoes redid account oh I don't know I don't know what that is you got a ready to account I just got Twitter Instagram and TikTok The Big Take podcast from Bloomberg News dives deep into one big global business story every weekday. A shutdown means we don't get the data, but it also means for President Trump that there's no chance of bad news on the labor market.
Starting point is 00:32:10 What does a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich reveal about the economy? Our breakfast foods are consistent consumer staples, and so they sort of become outsize indicators of inflation. What's behind Elon Musk's trillion dollar payout? There's a sort of concerted effort to message that Musk is coming back. He's putting politics aside. He's left the White House. And what can the PCE tell you that the CPI can't? CPI tries to measure out-of-pocket costs that consumers are paying for things,
Starting point is 00:32:42 whereas the PCE index that the Fed targets is a little bit broader of a measure. I'm Simone Boyce, host of the Brightside podcast, and on this week's episode, I'm talking to Olympian, World Cup champion, and podcast host, Ashlyn Harris. My worth is not wrapped up in how many things I've won, because what I came to realize is I valued winning so much that once it was over, I got the blues, and I was like, this is it.
Starting point is 00:35:46 For me, it's the pursuit of greatness. It's the journey. It's the people. It's the failures. It's the heartache. Listen to the Brightside on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Read, uh, read, you pull up Reddit. I don't have Reddit. Oh. And you think that's real? Yep.
Starting point is 00:36:14 I doubt it. I don't. Yeah, I don't, I don't have a Reddit account. But I, I, that doesn't even say. sound real because those in though i mean the people i don't think they even say they wouldn't say anything like that that's not professional they would no you know there's something we deal it with the bingles oh no listen even if you're dealing with the bangles people wouldn't they wouldn't say anything like that to to uh a person that has season tickets not not like that that's that sound
Starting point is 00:36:51 no disrespect it sounds damn they're made up I'm just being honest I'm not taking up for the Bengals I'm not taking up you got ready to count as put it up let's see what it's on the Bengals I'm just saying it on the Bengals it just doesn't sound
Starting point is 00:37:04 I mean no I mean the kid in the little they've been upset lately yeah I mean the Bengals listen honestly the fans have a right to be upset hell I'm upset for sure
Starting point is 00:37:21 well they were listening to you Because you said they were going to win. Well, we were going to win him if Joe stayed upright and stayed healthy. No, no, no, no, even after the fact, because you said Brother Browning. That's what he, hey, Chad, didn't he refer to him as Brother Browning? Brother Brown. Oh, you okay? Yeah, I mean, but it, okay, it didn't work.
Starting point is 00:37:42 We got Joe Flacko. Look what happened. Joe, hey, Joe going to do what he got to do. Joe coming in this week, though. They thought Joe wasn't going to play because of his shoulder. Joe gonna play. Yep, I'm looking at the official Bengals Reddit account.
Starting point is 00:38:00 Yep, it real. Yep, I'm sorry, Ocho. Hold on. So you think the Bengals posted that? No, he posted it. The ticket holder posted it. But the response was from the Bengals' official account. nah that's why why would i why would i repose something that's gonna make me look like that's
Starting point is 00:38:28 that's a that ain't real because if it was real by this time the bangles would have came out and apologized to the person and it would have been every man when you ever know mac brown apologize you played for the man when it was he ever apologized you can't have people that work for work for your company work for your business talking to season ticket holders like that that's unprofessional all the season ticket holders are saying this same thing. My husband called and had a very similar experience. Oh, I get it. You're supposed to do you. That's the stance you're supposed to take. It don't, you know, it don't even sound real. I'm just saying. It does.
Starting point is 00:39:08 This sounds real. Why y'all don't have a scouting department then? Is that real tobin? Why y'all don't have a staff scouting department like all 31 other teams? Is that really what I just said? We've done a, hey, you heard me? We've done a phenomenal job scouting. Hey, every single year, what we got at the receiving position? Before me, after me. Look where you're picking. Look where you're picking.
Starting point is 00:39:43 Whose fault is that? You, that's your fault. That's a good thing. Because if we weren't picking when we were picking, we wouldn't have Jamar Chase. Or he wouldn't have been able to get T. Higgins. Or he wouldn't have been able to get Joe Burrow. Or you wouldn't be able to get Carson Palmer. You wouldn't have been able to get A.J. Green.
Starting point is 00:40:02 All that y'all got. Now tell me, how many division titles have you guys won with all the players that you named? Oh, um, seven. Since you were drafted there, how many division titles have the Bengals won? Oh, division titles? Seven. Because I won two. You won one.
Starting point is 00:40:27 Two. One. And you got, and Carson got hurt the first player to play. Oh, damn. That's, that's it. My bad. I don't think y'all might have won seven division titles since in existence of the being. I don't like you taking shots at my team because I don't take shots in yours.
Starting point is 00:40:45 How many, how many division titles the Broncos won? They won six. division titles since 1991 i said seven i missed i missed it by one i told no i said since you some of those boomer assizes number one jeff blake no one not you how many have they won since 2001 since 2001 or 91 oh yeah oh and don't and red rifle They won the 21 and 22? Yeah. Oh, yes.
Starting point is 00:41:29 Y'all won six titles. Thank you. I told you. I said five, he said seven. We split in the middle. I knew I knew it was. I was just off by one. I was off by one.
Starting point is 00:41:45 You do realize five is one away from six. Yeah, I understand what you're saying. I'm just saying you were trying to make a scene like we were so sorry. First of all, first of all, first. of all you were over so you'd have got out of one because I was under you was over oh you ever played the prices right and that's the one when you spend when you spend the wheel right yes yeah i like that game yeah no i'm thinking about wheel of fortune
Starting point is 00:42:12 the wheel of fortune you spend the wheel around the uh price of right also have one where you try to get closest to a dollar without going over right right right okay i got you yeah i grew up on the uh the wheel of fortune will of fortune used to let you buy prizes you could buy prizes they have bedroom suit they have living room suit uh furniture they have patio furniture so you could buy it and once you buy it once you buy a prize people don't realize this
Starting point is 00:42:39 pat say jack was not the original host of will of what was chuck will of chuck yeah yeah mr he got into a contract dispute with uh n bcc so people just think and he was also well it was also on the newlyware game we used to game shows used to come game shows were there and there was no game show network so all the stuff you know price is right wheel of fortune all that other stuff uh the dating game uh uh uh to tell the truth um is he is he up we could go okay i'll go uh go to his next topic that you want to go to his next topic that Jack Prescott said he can sympathize with fans who are frustrated about the recent Jerry Jones quote in the Wall Street Journal.
Starting point is 00:43:30 Jerry said there's a hundred billion dollar present value with natural grass out there. That's why I'm talking to you on the telephone rather than trying to fix our defense with the Dallas Cowboys. Dak responded today, I don't know the full context of it. I do know a piece of it. But being a fan and you just hear or just read that, yeah, of course, that can definitely be frustrating. Oh, Joe, Jerry said he got big. He said he's thinking about the $100 million, $100 billion. So now y'all can see, y'all can stop talking about Shannon Hating on the Cowboys.
Starting point is 00:44:03 Jerry don't care about winning. Well, he never did. Jerry never cared about winning. No. So now he told you what on his mind. He just told you. He laid it out. So can y'all stop?
Starting point is 00:44:21 Oh, Jerry. Jerry don't care about winning. Jerry care about making money because Jerry can make money without winning. Of course, Dagg is frustrated. Dax said, I'm going out here busting my butt and you don't care about that. You told me you care about this $100 billion natural gas thing
Starting point is 00:44:40 that you could possibly get your seat your teeth into. Just like the player, huh? Just like the players, the player, hey, the players by the way, what's the bottom line to make as much what? Yeah. Money. The owner is the same way. But let me ask you a question.
Starting point is 00:44:57 If a player, if a player said, man, I don't care nothing about no winning. I'll care about this, I care about this $200 million that I got. What would the fans say? Yeah, snap, they'd go crazy. Okay, then Jerry Jones just said the exact same thing. He said, I'm concerned about this $100 billion. It ain't worried about fixing no defense. That's what he's seen.
Starting point is 00:45:15 He wasn't worried about the past 30 years. Hell no. Hell no. thing though hey he when you when you talk about somebody that's going to do things his way no matter what nobody say boy he is the he's the epitome of doing just that and he don't care yeah uh dach said but in that sense i would say the guys never really lied about who or what he's trying to do hopefully he was talking about it in a particular moment maybe in those five minutes it was uh he was alluding having a chance at a hundred billion
Starting point is 00:45:51 dollar opportunity. And I think he might take five minutes as well to answer a call. Hopefully that's what he means. But I can see how it can be. Yeah, I mean, obviously Dak is the face of the franchise.
Starting point is 00:46:05 He has to say all the right things. But in the back of his mind, he knows what it is. Other football people, anyone else that heard these comments, they know what it is. Jerry Jones has showed us what the bottom line is with him and what it has always been. He's doing, Doug,
Starting point is 00:46:21 doing just enough to keep you happy doing just enough to keep you interested and every year damn he fooled us again yeah if uh i just i just wonder what the fan base would say if a player said the exact same thing let's just say ocho he had an opportunity to make 200 300 million dollars out the field you say man i ain't really worried about no offense man i got an opportunity to make $350 million out to feed. Here we get skewered. They're killing. They're killing.
Starting point is 00:46:54 But listen, you know, you, when you're in certain positions of power, you know, you play by a different set of rules. The things Jerry can say and get away with, even though people are scrutinizing for it, and there's certain things that players just can't do. You just can't do it.
Starting point is 00:47:12 True. You can't do it. It's all about being self-aware. It's all about self-awareness. There ain't no consequences. No, not for him. Absolutely not. Who the hell?
Starting point is 00:47:27 Speaking of the consequence, who's going to do something? No, I'm just saying. I mean, but the fans are going to still go because, oh, we got a chance to win. Not with that guy. He don't care about winning. What makes, Jerry doesn't care about winning because each owner is going to get a probably check cut this March for 400 million. Oh, is four? It was three plus last year.
Starting point is 00:47:51 It's going to be $400 this year. Now, that's just from the TV deals. That ain't local. That's not local advertising. That's not local TV. That's not parking. That's not concession. That's not he has his own merchandise deal.
Starting point is 00:48:09 So. Hey, Jerry got that fitting. Jerry makes double. Whatever you think the most profitable as far as merchandising and all that stuff, is Jerry does double. And the only time Jerry sees the Super Bowl when he's in attendance. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:48:30 Oh, Cho, we got a special guest joining us. Iceweb Vezo. Bro, what's going on? What up, Doug? What do, big homie? How you feeling? Man, I'm good. I'm good. The EP dropped today, Purple Passion. Tell us a little about the song. Tell us a little about the EP.
Starting point is 00:48:45 Oh, man. You know, so, you know, I'm from Detroit. I'm from six miles from the east side. We got our own sound in Detroit. You heard, and I put, I created a whole new sound for the world to rock with. So I just kind of wanted to switch it up on this joint. You know what I'm saying? And just had some fun with it. My homie, June James from Houston, he produced the whole tape.
Starting point is 00:49:03 So Brunch is like, bro, let's talk to Detroit. You know what I'm saying? On these down south beats and see what we do, you heard. So, yeah, we put it together, man. Hold on. Gucci Man say once a rapper becomes a podcaster, it means they fell off. You have your own podcast, bro. you ain't you you you ain't falling up are you yeah no i ain't falling out i got to take my glass off
Starting point is 00:49:23 of this i did i start at first off i rock with Gucci you know i got real love for Gucci you heard like just for everything he did for the coach or hones really motivated me you know what i'm saying but where i'm from i'm from the trenches bro we don't never tell no man or a woman to not go get no money you heard so it ain't no one way to chase a billion dollars a hundred million If you're chasing $50, you don't got to do just one way. It ain't no one way to it. I live to I live. My life is my life.
Starting point is 00:49:53 I am. I'm not what I used to be, but I am what I am now. You heard, and that can't be taken away from me. So, no, I don't mean, nobody fell off at me. We smarted up. We got wiser. And we sink another lane. We sink another avenue.
Starting point is 00:50:06 And we decided to take advantage of that. You know what I'm saying? I would never in my life tell nobody to not go get no money. Ain't nobody bigger than a program to say, what's what you know what what bag is cool and what bag ain't cool i used to sell drugs brother you know i'm saying i ain't proud of that and i don't got to do that no more because brothers like y'all created a lane for people to speak their mind and you know have open discussions and respectful disagreements and debate and just talk and just kicking and vibe for the whole world to
Starting point is 00:50:37 be able to do that so you know no when guys like y'all open that door man we're going to walk right we're going to walk right through it Gucci motivated me to want to write a book too you know i grew with guys I got homies in my circle that I look at that like we're writing a diary you know what I'm saying right no way it ain't no way for motherfucking look at anything that you do and feel away about it it ain't about that
Starting point is 00:50:56 ain't nobody taking care of my family but me I put the roof over my wife it fed over my children and I'm gonna continue to do that I don't go fuck if I got a hundred hustles we're gonna get money I might start selling t-shirts I'm not gonna get a food truck ain't nothing stopping this shit man listen to everybody get that pay get that paper
Starting point is 00:51:14 don't let nobody tell you you what's cool and what ain't cool when it kind of getting money only money that ain't cool is drug money we know that on end well so we ain't doing that you know what I like that but shout out to Gucci and I got real love for brus hey I swear I swear when it came in putting this project together man I listened to it earlier man some of the song you know Tesla heavy metal high fashion you know having my way how long that it takes for you to finish a project you know a year six months like what's the problem so like it it'll take me like I say and not the over-exagger
Starting point is 00:51:48 to try to sound too sweet about the shit but literally like two weeks so but it's been times where it'll take me two weeks to do one song or four, five hours to do one song and when I find the pocket and when I find the bag where I can go in the studio here it'll be to record a song
Starting point is 00:52:03 in 15 to 20 minutes then I know I'm having fun with this shit I know this something I need to continue doing and this was working so every song that I put on that project with songs that I made within the span of 15 to 30 minutes, you know what I'm saying? And again, I got songs that took me way longer to make, but I never really put those songs out. You heard. Yeah, about two weeks.
Starting point is 00:52:26 It's interesting you say that. So let me ask your question. So how do you, do you write down on paper or do you need to go in there and hear the beat and then you have an idea of kind of where you go and where you want to go and you let the beat take you into the direction ultimately where you go? Exactly, because I feel like if I got a right to it, then it ain't really, it ain't really a pocket I need to be in right now. I think the music. just talk to you, you know what I'm saying? Okay. It talked to you, you heard.
Starting point is 00:52:50 As soon as you hear a certain shit, everything just start coming to your mind, and you just go and say it, I don't, I don't write, but I don't completely freestyle. Like I say a couple bars, sit, think on and say another couple bars, pause, and just play it like that, you heard. Let me ask you, how far is six miles from eight miles?
Starting point is 00:53:09 Because we know M, great Detroit rapper, is from eight mile. You're from six miles, so how far part of you guys? Literally two miles. apart. Oh, that's it? Really? Yeah, two miles apart.
Starting point is 00:53:20 You know what's crazy? M went to... Me and he went to Osborne for a minute. That's the same high school I went to. We didn't go at the same time, obviously. And I grew up on Sanford and Bradford. And I believe the house on Eminem first album is the house that he grew up in. That's on Bradford as well.
Starting point is 00:53:38 So he claimed eight miles, but he grew up in my neighborhood as well. And that's how he met Big Proof and all them guys. They all went to Osborne High School. born high school. That's the same school I went to. You heard. In front of trenches, for real, though. What I can't take that away for that white boy, man. One thing about he's really from, where he's from, you heard. You, you've really involved, you're really involved in the community. Detroit, you have a local juice bar with your family. How did you, let me, you mentioned earlier about the hustles, you know, you, you had a past. It ain't cool to have a juice bar, man,
Starting point is 00:54:10 you forgot. Huh? It ain't cool to have a juice bar. That means he fell off. Come on, man, damn. You're dragging it. Hey, I swear, you dragging it down. I'm talking shit, bro. What you was about to say? But I'm saying, how did you decide? Because you mentioned earlier, you had a past, you're not proud of, you graduated, you moved on from that.
Starting point is 00:54:32 So how do you decide what hustles that you're going to become involved with? It was one point when I was 24 years old, I bought a restaurant, I bought a car wash, and I bought a dispensary at the age of 24. But when I bought this shit For one, I bought it With the wrong kind of You heard we ain't got to go there But I bought it for the wrong reasons I bought it just to say
Starting point is 00:54:54 I got a restaurant You got legit Yeah, it wasn't even about legit It was trying to look cool And flex on the people in my community Not flex with them But flex on them I got it for the wrong reason
Starting point is 00:55:05 And it crumbled And I learned from that First and foremost You know That's when I decided Ain't no point of me Shining on my folks you know we got to lift the community up and shine with them and do more for them so they can have these opportunities you heard but like right now what i really learned from that is i don't involve myself in no business that i can't find any type of emotional connection to it or mental connection to it and every time i do a business that i can find some type of connection to they win but when i do business it's for the wrong reasons like the other shit that i had prior going to prison it all it never worked so i decided from from jail
Starting point is 00:55:42 Anything, any business that I do, I want to have some type of connection to it, mentally or emotionally. So the juice bar is the family thing that I got for my old lady. You heard so, yeah. That's how I decide, just having some type of connection to it. You collaborated with the baby, little baby, Codette Black. So how did, what goes into a collab? So how do you like, okay, I got an idea that I think this guy would sound good. I got an idea.
Starting point is 00:56:07 I think that. So how do you go about picking people who you're going to collab with on your projects? most of well pretty much all the collaborations I got just like from relationships that we built you know what I'm saying just moving around with guys or we linking up and we build for a couple weeks we might even build for a year just you know get to know each other on some type of personal level not too personal but just enough you know what I'm saying so the songs becoming organic we either be in the studio I make some shit and they get on it or you know like you say like I got a song called up the scope featuring a little bit more you know dirt as soon as i did that song everybody in the studio like bro you got to put smirk on it and i send it the smirk he did the verse and he sent it right back you heard so yeah hey is it is it difficult when you when you when you have a collab and you need a you need an artist to send their verse in and they take too long i mean when it's ship free you can't really complain you know what i'm saying if them do bless me with a free verse i ain't got no complaints you know what i mean but even
Starting point is 00:57:10 if I did pay, I understand everybody got stuff going on. It's times that I've took too long doing a lot of stuff, you know, whether it's for myself, my wife, my kids, my family, or other artists. And in them, verse, and it don't be nothing, you know, that I'm stalling out on. I'm just handling
Starting point is 00:57:26 other shit and my mind might be occupied on other things. So I think it's important that we learn to have patience with each other, you know, as a community, first and foremost. It's just, you know, overall it's artists and coworkers. We got to have patient and you know hope for the best and if somebody don't send a song all as well you know it ain't
Starting point is 00:57:45 no love lost right wow you launched you launched your own record company iced uh iced up records how is it okay you own the label but you got a creative side so you know you got to create on your own but then when you hire people you got a business side so you know friends is one thing business is another thing and a creative aspect is something entirely different how do you do such a great job of balancing all that out I establish that with the people that I do business with that business friendship is friendship and
Starting point is 00:58:19 being an artist is being an artist I rap as well and I own his label so it's going to be times where I got to focus on myself but the same type of focus that I put in myself I put it into them just as well but I think communication is everything you know communication is key
Starting point is 00:58:36 you know so yeah just basically establishing that up front you heard like check this out you my homie or you may not be my homie whatever the case is we handling business let's keep the business let's do business and as friends and as homies this shit should never mix be mixed up with each other and a lot of times it goes soft you know when you do business with your homies but sometimes it worked it worked well you heard but yeah i think just communicating that up front has it been difficult have you lost friends because you mixed friendship in business?
Starting point is 00:59:10 Absolutely. I lost a lot of friends because of that. Trying to help people. You know, you can't help everybody. I've been got there understood. My mama told me that, but I'm hard-headed. So I keep trying. So, Detroit, your lions are looking good.
Starting point is 00:59:27 Is this the year the Lions get to the Super Bowl and potentially win it? Without a doubt, we went in and we got this. Come on, come on, oh, Joe. Hey, listen, hey, listen. boys balling, boy. Y'all boy, I can't even say nothing. When everybody was hurt, y'all still was
Starting point is 00:59:43 balling on defense. Offensally, y'all might be the best offense in the league. I mean, y'all might be the best offense in the league. I'm not even going to lie. This might be the year. This might be the honestly.
Starting point is 00:59:54 If, God damn, the quarterback played very well when you get to the playoffs and don't throw all them damn interceptors, I'm going to see y'all in San Francisco. I'm going to see y'all in San Francisco. We're going to. We're going to win, too.
Starting point is 01:00:07 We're going to win. We go in Hey, Detroit Make the Super Bowl You head You're going? Absolutely I gotta go
Starting point is 01:00:13 We gotta go Celebration I don't think we Ever been to that motherfucker No, you have it Damn We go
Starting point is 01:00:21 We're going this shit Yeah y'all long overdue We long overdue Man It's just the whole build Up the story Everything The boys really put that
Starting point is 01:00:28 Put that grind in And they're making this shit Happen man They bring the city back You heard So yeah Man I swear man
Starting point is 01:00:35 Congratulations on everything That you're done I know you said it's proud of you. Congratulations on turning your life around because you realize the path that you was going on. However, you had to learn the easy way or the hard way, but you figured it out. And you're doing something positive in community.
Starting point is 01:00:49 And I want to say one black man to another, I'm proud of you, man. Congratulations on all your success. Keep your head down and the straight and now. And good luck on all the projects that you have coming after this. Best of luck, bro. Thank you, bro. I appreciate it, big brother.
Starting point is 01:01:03 Thank you all for having me. Much respect to both of y'all, man. motivation to everybody in the community outside the community. God bless y'all. I wish y'all nothing but the best and a lot more success. Thank you, brother. I genuinely mean it. Thank you for having. Appreciate you, bro. All the best, man.
Starting point is 01:01:20 Y'all make sure you y'all go check out. Icewear bells of purple passion. It dropped today. Hey, go check him out. Check it out. Appreciate you, bro. Love. Yeah. All right. He said Detroit's going to do it, though, yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:37 Hey, hey, listen, I got common sense. And I got eyes. And I told you what I'm going to do from now on. I'm not bent with my heart no more. I'm not talking football, the game of football in general, with my heart. I'm using my logic. I'm using my eyes. I'm using what I've known and come to understand and playing this game since I was four years old.
Starting point is 01:01:56 Detroit is very, very good to a point where it's almost there at an advantage because of what they have on both sides of the ball. So if there's a team that has a strength, if they stay healthy, they go to the chip, it's the goddamn Detroit lion. But they do have one team standing in any way. The Eagles. You got one team standing their way. That is the Philadelphia Eagles. Do Detroit play Philadelphia this year?
Starting point is 01:02:35 Try to November Detroit, Detroit plays Philly in Philly on November 16th That's right round the corner That's right round of corner That's gonna be, that's gonna be some fireworks there Oh, Joe, we got some news that you might like
Starting point is 01:02:57 According to the Rings, the Rings, Mike Coppinger, Mayweather, and Pakiya are in talks for a potential rematch in 2026. The fight is reportedly being explored as another Netflix boxing event. Mayweather Pachial met for the first time in 2015 in a fight that's headlined as the highest grossing pay-per-view in boxing history at the time. Mayweather won the fight by unanimous decision, but many believe the fight went down much later in their careers that it should have. It was announced last month that Mayweather and heavyweight legend Mike Tyson agreed to an exhibition fight in the spring of 2026. So the rematch against Pachial would be another big money fight
Starting point is 01:03:38 for the 48-year-old Floyd Mayweather, right? Mayweather's 48, right? Or Pachiao? Oh, Joe, would you like to see an older version of Mayweather Pachial 2 in 2020? Yeah, that's an older version, younger version. Any version, any version of Floyd being back in the ring and actually fighting someone like Manny Pachial,
Starting point is 01:04:02 even though I know they're older, it's still going to be exciting. We just watched Pachio not too long ago. Ain't nothing more than he moved around just fine. He's still bouncing. He still bouncing, still bouncing, still thorn, still sticking and jabbing and getting in and coming out, you know, doing what he does. I would like to see it.
Starting point is 01:04:19 I understand one thing. Manny Pachial wants his get back. If they are to fight again, he going to get in there and actually fight as opposed to some of the exhibitions that we've been seeing. So I think it's interesting to see those two go at it again. and why not there there probably will be people that's like oh we don't want to see them they're old well listen it's the month of november don't why it's the month of november you know it's the month of november there are some great fights that are coming up this this month some really good
Starting point is 01:04:51 fights that are coming up and you got plenty time and when this is entertaining purposes only Netflix mayweather heison mayweather pack yeah and listen people are going to say, oh, I don't want to see that. I don't watch it. People are going to watch. Everybody can to watch. You might not be watching, but everybody else will. Because those two individuals are a draw.
Starting point is 01:05:13 Floyd Mayweather is still a draw, no matter what you say. Yeah, look, you're going to make that kind of money. They probably make $20, $30 million. Where's you going to make $20, $30 billion? Man. Nowhere. No way. So I don't regret the guy can make an honest hustle.
Starting point is 01:05:32 I don't know if this is an exhibition fight if it grows against one of their records or whatever the case they be. If it's not an exhibition and it goes against the record, well, you know Floyd's going to come out there. Man, Floyd ain't playing that. He is not losing that zero. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:56 I think, look, I think, like I said, in the situation you see the money being talked around with these exhibition fights Floyd like what the hell hey manny let's do part too I get a bag the highest the highest and Netflix like live
Starting point is 01:06:13 events they're coming I am not going to be surprised I think don't they got football and Netflix got NFL football this year like Christmas Day games or something okay yeah but they're going to have a package
Starting point is 01:06:29 and they're going to just be you know I wouldn't be surprised. You start seeing Sunday games on Netflix and Amazon. You know, I know Amazon got the Thursday package. I know they got the Friday, the Black Friday game, but I would not be surprised if Netflix end up getting a package where they have six, seven, eight games in a season.
Starting point is 01:06:54 But now, I agree with you, Ocho. I ain't. I'd be right there. I'll be right there watching it. All right. We got this time to play or fade. How do we do tonight? I don't think Bateman got them y'all.
Starting point is 01:07:11 Here's the pick for Flex. less than four and a half assists versus the Sixers. No, I think you have five assists. Again, five. Tyrese, more than 36 and a half combined points and assists. Man, he, hey, oh, he's going, uh, he going over that. He's been going crazy. What, what are they playing on?
Starting point is 01:07:53 Uh, the Sixers played the Celtics. Oh, him and BJ, uh, Excom. That, that's, hey, that's the rookie. Yeah. Nice. Yeah, real nice. Quinn Grimes off the bench, doing really,
Starting point is 01:08:09 Devin Booker, more than three and a half rebounds versus the jazz. Yep. Yep. We're going to have four. Laurie marketing, more than 24 and a half points versus the sun. He dropped 50.
Starting point is 01:08:24 The first time somebody dropped 50 in a game for jazz. Ah, Donovan. Donovan. Donovan. They said he was the first, they said the other night that he was the first to drop 50. Laurie marketing since Carl Malone. But did Donovan drop those 50 in the playoffs? Yeah, because I know he dropped, what, 57 in the playoffs with him in a,
Starting point is 01:08:52 who are they going back and forth with the Nuggets? That's when him and a, what's the guard from the Nuggets? Jamal, Murray was going back and forth. They both had 50 head-to-head and Mitch dropped 57 one game. 57? Yes, what I thought? No, but he was in Cleveland when he did that. That's what he did.
Starting point is 01:09:20 He did that against Cleveland. Yeah, because he broke LeBron, because LeBron had like 57, 58, something like that. Yeah. Yep, so I'm taking Laurie, marketing to go more than 24 and a half points versus the sun. $25 to win $150. Download the app today.
Starting point is 01:09:37 Use code Shannon. That's code Shannon to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. It's good to be right. All right. Time for our final segment of the evening. It's time for Q and A. Hey.
Starting point is 01:09:57 Sherby. I ain't had one. these nights like this in a long time, boy. I mean, you... What kind of night? Well, I'm hurting. You know, you don't talk about it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:09 Hey, hey, I'm fighting for my life. We're about to get out of here this one. Hey, I have a life in a long time. Hey, so you ain't, see, that what thing I can do? Oh, go, hey, like a truck on Red Bull all night. It's different for you because you are, you, you're on the other side. of the world. You got to remember, remember, I'd be sleep by 9.30. Oh, Cho, I'm up at 7 o'clock. I'm up at 5.
Starting point is 01:10:39 Oh, Cho, you do realize, you do realize what time 7 is? And I'm going to go to bed till like midnight. Okay. Yeah, but I've been good, though. I've been good, though. This is the first, it's my first time in a long time. I were fighting, boy. J.J. said, uh, tried to tell him about them guppies. I did. J.J. I tried to tell about the guppies. Hold on, y'all, y'all get on my dog, man. Y'all get on my dog.
Starting point is 01:11:03 You understand the issues we have right now, man. That's why we understand the chance tonight. They're not our issues. Hey, say, go ahead and send Lilo and Stitch, unadopted, unappealing stepbrothers to the bench and put yours in. Season is a wash. There y'all go.
Starting point is 01:11:24 Now, listen, I want y'all to keep the same. I didn't already apologize, too. We had a friendly banter back and forth. I didn't say anything negative. I wasn't malicious. I just said the thought was going to win. I said everything in a respectful way. See, you got the Raven fan being nasty.
Starting point is 01:11:40 I thought I'd apologize. All right. Keep that same energy now. Keep that same energy. We did. I tried to tell you. All right. Who y'all got next coming out of the back?
Starting point is 01:11:52 Don't worry about, don't you worry about who we got. Okay. Play like a raven, huh? And the words of Eric Allen Poe. Bobba Patel, dolphins really went from tank for Tua to Tank with Tua. And did. Ocho got to start betting with intelligence
Starting point is 01:12:19 and have the gust of pay. Don't think we forgot the 5900, not paying up says a lot about someone. It does, David. Says he hadn't paid me yet. But he's gonna say, but you know, you see how they do you? It'll be your own people. No, I told you, there's one thing about our own people.
Starting point is 01:12:36 This is the good thing about it though. You understand. As long as I owe you, you'll never be broke. But okay, as long as you owe Alaskin, he'll never be broke. But you're going to send him his brain. I ain't going to send it. BDXD, say what does Lamar need to do to get a statue next one to raise? This team is depending.
Starting point is 01:12:58 depending on him just like they depended on Ray's greeting from Germany. You got to win the championship. Ray is a two-time, a two-time Sub-Bo champ. He's a Super Bowl MVP, a two-time defensive player of the year. Hey, if Lamar... That's what gives us, that's what gives you a statue. If Lamar gets a trophy and... Yes, he gets a statue.
Starting point is 01:13:20 He gets a statue at there in Baltimore. He gets a statue at Boynton Beach High School. They put a goddamn statue of Lamar Jackson at Miami International Airport. They put a stat, they're probably gonna got what they, don't they got something in Louisville?
Starting point is 01:13:33 Probably, they better have one there too. I'm talking about life size. Well, I mean, it's probably gonna be a little bigger than life size on, so you do realize a statue that's life size,
Starting point is 01:13:46 ain't that big. My bad. You know that. Okay. Oh, like God, the Love Spurs basketball 5 and 0. Porbita, GSG for life.
Starting point is 01:14:01 Whatever that mean, bro. I'm sorry, I don't understand. But yes, you guys are playing well. I guess Wemby had another game. Triple X up Saturday. At this point, needs to make words my 5900 with your merch. This year is almost over.
Starting point is 01:14:16 And it seems like, okay, never getting it to 5900. I ain't. You know, I'll put it, what you call them? I'm going to have to put a credit thing on it. What's that? I'm going to send it to credit. What's that? Who? Credit who? Credit card?
Starting point is 01:14:30 Nope. I'm going to send it to the credit. But Dean, your credit. Okay. Okay. Listen, my score drop a little bit, but I get it back up. A lot of bit. DeMonte Williams said, Fiat Ocho, game check with interest. Rude Boy, two 17, say, oh, good, Ocho.
Starting point is 01:14:53 Would it make sense? A.J. Brown and a 2026 second round pick For T.J. Watt, both salaries are close. It would be a win for both sides. Philly trades another wideout who's consistent but not a star, Arod, AJ, and D.K. Oh, consistent but not a star, huh?
Starting point is 01:15:11 He wrote that. No, he said. I didn't say that. You say consistent but not a star? Yeah, what he said. You see, you see, you see what I mean? See what I mean? Now you see why he complained about getting the ball. And now here you go talk about AJ Brown and no goddamn star
Starting point is 01:15:32 because it was lacking production. This is what I'm talking about. This is why he arguing. This is why he reading the goddamn book on the sideline. Yeah, the chat say I send it to collections. That's what I'm going to send it. Collections. Aaron Jones says, give a realistic trade,
Starting point is 01:15:53 three first round picks and maybe to Kobe Dean. If it's AJ, it's two first rounds. Otherwise, we keep what we have and keep going. Philly Talk, Plei, say, please read the New York Times article about AJ that dropped today. He's connected his tweets to a mental health importance. Shepty already said, AJ is not going anywhere. Jalen Carter isn't going anywhere either. Yeah, you say that.
Starting point is 01:16:19 But let Cleveland Brown say, we'll give you Miles Garrett, and they'll get off either one of those guys. I don't think people, I don't think fans understand. and all the Adam Chefs are saying the player's not going to wear or owner saying the player is not going to where, that means nothing when it comes down to conducting business. So let me get this right. You and I can agree on this. The Cleveland Brown says, look,
Starting point is 01:16:43 we want three first round picks or two first round picks, a second round pick, and we want A.J. Brown or J.L. Carter. You mean to tell me the field of the E.? He's going to say no? You're going to get a guy that's the premier past Russia at his position, and he's not 30. Man, y'all just be talking to talk.
Starting point is 01:17:09 They'll get off either one of those players for an opportunity to get Miles Garrett. Yeah. Miles Garrett's don't go on trees. I think AJ Brown, so let me ask you a question. You think it's harder to find an A.J. Brown or a Miles Gary? Exactly. Moving right along. Earl Terran said, listen to Ocho.
Starting point is 01:17:35 Prime did it. Unc, they need you. They would listen to you, Shannon. You would adjust once you see success. Unk's leadership brought the rave as a super bowl. You heard what you said, Ocho? All right. Listen, take that leadership over the LSU.
Starting point is 01:17:51 Take it down. Absolutely not. No. I got to have the leadership in Shayshay. Who's going to run Shaysay Media if I'm going? Ash, Jordan. You know it's funny? The people at L.N.
Starting point is 01:18:04 Well, it's kind of hard to run Shaysheed Media without Shay. Let me tell you something. The people from LSU, they're going to see this. They're going to see these clips, and I guarantee you get a call in about two days. Watch. I'll change my number. Oh, they know how to get in touch with you. Don't worry about that.
Starting point is 01:18:21 They got to go through Shelly, and Shelly ain't sending me no info about no coaching. DeKura said, this should be the rule having to sell you consistently bad. Why team, if you're not trying to win, and they're already billionaires? Because once you get one billion, what are you trying to do, Ocho? Get two. If you get two, you're trying to get four. Yeah, let me ask you a question. How much is Elon worth of a must worth now?
Starting point is 01:18:47 500 billion? I think it was like 500 billion. Didn't I see 475, 500 billion? he ain't stopped 500.2 he worth 500 a half a trillion dollars you think Elon Musk ain't trying to get to 600
Starting point is 01:19:04 700 hey that's crazy when you think about it huh what's that I mean me and Elon Musk well we we I estimated net worth by the same
Starting point is 01:19:15 yeah y'all estimated net worth is worth 500 point point six bit man I can't even imagine my mind what I can't even wrap on can't even wrap or can't even find them
Starting point is 01:19:32 500 billion dollars I'd tell you what you can find me I'll tell you where you can find me I'm gonna be on an island you couldn't oh they're not going to be able to find you no I'd be in the Bahamas somewhere
Starting point is 01:19:49 I had me a nice house built I'm taking my kid I'm taking all my kids I'm getting custody we're going to be at everybody going to be home school I'm going to have the nicest game room ever
Starting point is 01:20:02 I'm going to do I'm still going to do nightcap I'm still going to do nightcap I'm still I don't care how much money I get I'm still going to do nightcap because the people deserve that they deserve the last and the fun and entertainment and I'm a game
Starting point is 01:20:14 I'm a game all day that's it man Oh, Miguel Ortiz, which runner-up is more snubbed on winning an actual MVP, Joker losing to Embed or Lamar losing to Allen? That's a good question.
Starting point is 01:20:33 I think Lamar losing to Allen. Yep, as great as Josh had ever played last year. I mean, Lamar having that store. I saw Lamar had a better season. Yeah, that was crazy. I mean, 40 plus touchdown. What do you have four interceptions? Only four, yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:51 Yeah, I think he only had six total turnover. I think he's four. Yeah, for me, and I thought, you know, the year, uh, Joy L and V won, I thought Yolkech deserved it, but earned it. But Lamar last year, I was shocked. Frank Tank 921-Ocho, what do you think about being an accountability coach?
Starting point is 01:21:11 I like it, I like it. That's a good one. That's a good one. That's all the more reason why he should coach at LSU because he can steal and install all those great qualities that he displays not only here
Starting point is 01:21:28 but in life, you know, on those players. She. Timothy Humphrey, nobody wants to see Floyd versus Pachia clown show. I'd rather see Ocho versus James. Oh, you're going to see it. Well, hell, that might be the other person. Yeah, you're going to see it. Hey, Devo, I hope you see this.
Starting point is 01:21:44 I'm going to punch in your face, boy. Huh? Matter of fact, I'm a hit you so hard. I'm a hit you so hard. That's it. I'm hit you so hard. Elie L said, oh,
Starting point is 01:22:02 you got a whole Ocho's check. His nightcap logo is never lit and it's plain black, it's plain back there. Now, you can't see it. Hey, now you understand why it's not lit, nosey ass. Saucy D. Say it's the time of feeling to move on from Joel with the way he's back court, if that
Starting point is 01:22:31 knee won't ever be the same. No, it's never going to be the same. They've gone in it too many times. No, it's never going to be the same. No, not. If they try to protect him, they got a lot of money tied up in him, man. I mean, Darry gave him a contract when he didn't have to. He's still proud of it.
Starting point is 01:22:48 they got almost $200 million left on that contract. I mean, if he can't get on the court for Philly, where are they going to get on the court at? Because at the end of the day, it's still basketball, you still have to run them down to hardwood and you still play 82 games. So, Philly find himself in a conundrum. That concludes this episode of Nightcap,
Starting point is 01:23:13 the Baltimore Ravens moved to 3 and 5 thanks to a 286 victory over the guppies, who fall to two and seven. Lamar Jackson, 18 of 23, 204 yards, four touchdown passes, no interception. Two of it was 25 or 40, zero touchdowns, one interceptions, and they had two fumbles. So the dolphins turned the ball over three times.
Starting point is 01:23:33 The Ravens played a clean ball game. Thank you for joining us. Y'all know who I am. I'm your favorite dog, Shannon Sharp, and that is my partner and co-host.
