Cole apologizes to Kendrick Lamar for dissing him on 7-Minute Drill at Dreamville Fest. J. Cole said, How many of y'all think Kendrick Lamar
Starting point is 00:02:00 is one of the greatest ever to pick up a mic? I haven't been sleeping right the last few days. We taking that disc off streaming service. Ocho, what's your thoughts? Listen, J. Cole is one of the greatest.
Starting point is 00:02:17 One of the greatest lyricists, one of the greatest MCs. Kendrick Lamar is that as well. Drake at times, he says he's the greatest as well. This is the perfect opportunity. This is the perfect opportunity. It ain't got nothing to do with violence. It's about your craft. It's about your penmanship. It's about what you do best. This is what we as fans, we as fans of rap, they've been beasts for so long. And what do they do? They go to the booth and they handle it.
Starting point is 00:02:46 I think maybe J. Cole mentally is in a different state. Maybe mentally he's in a different state and he wanted to take back, you know, what he said because mentally he's not there right now. Is that what we want to see as fans? No, we want to see people battle it out in the booth. We want to see Drake answer back. We want to see Kendrick go back and forth. We want to see people battle it out in the booth. We want to see Drake answer back. We want to see Kendrick go back and forth. We want to see J. Cole respond. Obviously, J. Cole responded, and he took it back and apologized.
Starting point is 00:03:14 I mean, think about what if it was 50 Cent? What if it was 50? You know, what all 50 has done and all the beef he's been in and making it exciting, you know, there's been no violence. There's been no violence. You know, a little fight a little a little bruise a little little punch here and there but but nothing to the extent it's exciting it makes it fun and it gets it gets the blood flowing especially in the rap game just a I mean, look, I mean, the beef go back.
Starting point is 00:03:51 LL Kumo D, Big Daddy Kane was one of the great emcees on the mic. Could go at any day. There've been so many. Look, Jay-Z and Nas. Jay-Z and Nas. Keep it at the pin. It's okay. Are people mad look Jay-Z and Nas Jay-Z and Nas you know I like keep it at the pin it's okay
Starting point is 00:04:07 are people mad that Jay-Z and Nas cool now probably not because they gave us exactly what we wanted they gave us entertainment
Starting point is 00:04:15 okay you got that the man says okay fine you got that though so they good that right or you still are you still upset that they cool nah nah nah
Starting point is 00:04:23 no not me I'm not no I'm just saying I'm asking I'm just saying. I'm asking people, are you okay now that Jay-Z and Nas are cool? They said what they said. They wrote what they wrote,
Starting point is 00:04:34 but they're cool now. Are you okay? Or do you still care to have them be? I mean, we like to have the Hatfields and McCoy. We like to keep something. I don't know why. It's okay. It's okay to have differences, have a have a disagreement and then come together and say you know what man hey we bigger than that we better than that let's move it along no no no I think it's a part of
Starting point is 00:04:55 the game like in hockey an unwritten rule in hockey is sometimes you know what we gonna fight I think there's shit there I listen, I'm not this rap guru, but I'm saying I think an unwritten rule when things aren't going right and you have an issue with somebody, handle it through the pen. There's nothing wrong with that. That's healthy. That's healthy. How good is your pen? You feel you're one of the best? Now's your time to show the rest of the world. If I'm cool, look, for me, I've always been one of these guys. If I'm cool with you, I'm cool with you.
Starting point is 00:05:30 I'm not trying to gain nothing if I'm cool with you. Now, if we're on opposite sides, oh, yeah. If Cole and Kendrick didn't rock with each other, it is what it is. It's coming from somewhere, though. It's coming from somewhere. I don't know the extent of where it is what it is. It's coming from somewhere, though. It's coming from somewhere. I don't know the extent of where it came from.
Starting point is 00:05:47 Right. I hear it like everybody else when they hear it. I hear the finished product. I don't know why it came about, but I heard Kendrick's, what Kendrick said on... Kendrick said the big three
Starting point is 00:06:00 is just big me. Yeah, listen, I listened to it. I'm like, oh, that was nice. That was nice. So I'm like, I'm waiting on Drake. I'm waiting on J. Cole. J. Cole responded. Drake is very methodical.
Starting point is 00:06:12 He's very strategic in the way he does things. He does things on his time. When you least expect it, I'm sure he might respond. And I'm not sure why J. Cole, you know, took back, you know, the diss and apologized. And if I'm not mistaken, J. Cole took back the diss and apologized. And if I'm not mistaken, I saw it on Twitter. Kendrick Lamar has had three people apologize after saying something about him. Jay Electronica, if I'm saying his name the right way,
Starting point is 00:06:41 there was one person and now J. Cole. There's three people that have came out and said something about Kendrick. And they come back and recanted themselves and apologize. I'm not sure why. Maybe they're scared of Kendrick. When it comes to the pen, his penmanship is phenomenal. He's a great lyricist. Yeah, I think Cole is a good lyricist. You got to be built for that too, man.
Starting point is 00:07:00 You got to be built for that. Because this is not going in a studio and making music with a beat. This is you got to hit it where it hurts. You got to have a little dirt on somebody. You got to know everything about them and put it in an artistic form with your pen. Yeah, but I still
Starting point is 00:07:18 say hit them up. I mean, they were good, but this ain't hit them up. This ain't no Vaseline. This ain't none of that. No, no, no, no, no. How you know? Those was classics. Classics. Even to this day.
Starting point is 00:07:31 Yeah. Even to this day. But I mean- Remy Ma went at Nicki Minaj. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, listen, the rap girlies are really taking over
Starting point is 00:07:44 as far as entertainment goes as far as beef yeah they taking it to the pen yeah but you know women
Starting point is 00:07:53 women can't I mean women y'all be hugged up one day and the next day you know y'all kissing each other the next day I'm like damn yeah I mean but it's good
Starting point is 00:08:01 it's good for the game it's good for the game just it what they do you know? Oh, yeah. Who did, who went at Drake? Somebody went at Drake with the story of Aiden.
Starting point is 00:08:14 Who was that? Pusha T? Pusha, yeah, yeah. Pusha went at Drake. Yeah, yeah. That was a good one. That was a good battle. That was a good battle.
Starting point is 00:08:23 Hell, Drake and Meek, that was also good. Drake, very strategic, very methodical. It was planned out. And he executed, you know, and then, I mean, it was dope. I think it's good. I think it's good as long as they keep it in the booth. Keep it in the booth. Keep it at the pen.
Starting point is 00:08:43 You know, you cross paths in the street. You don't need no fighting, no shooting, all that, man. Man, look here. You don't need all that, man. Yeah. I mean, I think the thing is people like, man, I wouldn't, bro, you human. You human. I don't care. I don't care how big you are.
Starting point is 00:09:00 Somebody, there's only so much a person can take. Take, right. Right. So all that, man, I got all this, no, no, no. And so much a person can take. Take, right. Right. So all that, man, I got all this, no, no, no. And so nobody, somebody going to say something, you're going to respond. Yeah. Yeah. Ocho, I heard you have some good news today about your daughter.
Starting point is 00:09:15 What's going on? Hey, let's go. First of all, after experiencing, I didn't go to HBCU. Obviously, you know that. Now, I'm jealous of you a little bit. I'm jealous of you because if you had the opportunity to experience what I saw tonight at Preview A&M
Starting point is 00:09:34 at their probate where my baby... She went over? Yeah, she crossed over as an AK. And I ain't never been in no atmosphere like that. Now, obviously I'm an ambassador at FAMU, but I haven't had the opportunity most of the time that I'm there. It's in a sporting event or I'm at a football game, but being inside that auditorium and watching the energy in that
Starting point is 00:10:00 atmosphere. Listen, I got to take my glasses off. I ain't never seen nothing like that. That kind of energy, that kind of passion, that kind of love, that kind of love and support from all the sororities,
Starting point is 00:10:15 from all the fraternities, for the people that were crossing over. Even though you have nothing to do with them. Oh, talk about family. It felt like a family reunion almost.
Starting point is 00:10:25 It was that kind of vibe. It was that kind of atmosphere. Yeah, for sure. The AKs went last. The AKs went last. Punk, they came out. It was like,
Starting point is 00:10:37 I'm, this is the only way I can explain it. It felt like Michael Jackson. You know how the audience go crazy and everybody stands up and goes crazy like Michael Jackson. You know how the audience go crazy and everybody stands up and goes crazy
Starting point is 00:10:46 when Michael Jackson came out on stage? Yeah. When them AKs came out and marching to that song, the song that they come out, uh, uh, uh, eh, and AKA, I don't want to sing it because it might be disrespectful.
Starting point is 00:11:02 But there's a reason why. And I see my baby. Oh, shit. I'm about to cry it because it might be disrespectful. But there's a reason why. And I see my baby. Oh, shit. I'm about to cry. Hold on, hold on. And I see my... Let me put my glasses on for people to try to screenshot me and laugh at me. And I see my baby strutting and hitting that stroll.
Starting point is 00:11:18 Oh, man. That's awesome, man. That's awesome. Oh, man. That was one of... Oh, shit. Damn. But that was one of the greatest feelings. One of the dopest feelings, man. That's awesome. That was one of... Oh, shit. Damn, but that was one of the greatest feelings.
Starting point is 00:11:27 One of the dopest feelings, man. And obviously, being able to see my daughter cross and her mama, you know, her mama, her mama is the AK, too. But no, that was great.
Starting point is 00:11:38 I had, listen, I'm supposed to be in the stands. I'm all on the floor. I'm all... I done snuck down on the floor. Man, you in the showbiz, man. You all done trying having a snuck down on the fan you ain't a show being bad you all there trying to be there to know you know we're gonna pause that but you all up in the video like i wasn't in the video i was recording though so i just i just wanted to get
Starting point is 00:11:54 i want to get good footage because ain't no telling if i don't know if my daughter gonna you know she gonna pledge i don't know if my son gonna play as the arizona state so man at just that moment man that boy that was live boy hey yeah that was. So, man, it's just that moment, man. Boy, that was live, boy. Hey, that was live. That was live. Oh, it's unbelievable. I know she probably, Shadi, I know you probably watching. Your mama watching.
Starting point is 00:12:13 I like that. You made your daddy proud. You made your daddy cry tonight. That shit was live. That energy at HBCUs, man. Ain't nothing like it, bro. Like I said, I think everybody should have to spend a semester at an HBCUs, man. Ain't nothing like it, bro. Like I said, I think everybody should have to spend a semester at an HBCU
Starting point is 00:12:28 to get the ambiance, to get the pageantry, to be at a homecoming, to go to the step shows, because there ain't nobody stepping like what they do. We do it big. And to be at the yard when all the Soros and Frats are in the park and they're doing their thing and they're getting ready
Starting point is 00:12:44 because we used to have, you know, we used to have step shows and people come, you know, Georgia Southern and Fort Valley and Clark and Mo Brown and all those people would come down and they challenge the man and to feel that energy for homecoming
Starting point is 00:12:56 and ooh, and like you said, the rush when they go over. Ain't nothing like it. Yeah. Ain't nothing like it. The funny thing about it, this was not something small
Starting point is 00:13:06 this is very big so now I can just imagine something like homecoming I can imagine I can imagine what homecoming is like man I'm like I got to experience it
Starting point is 00:13:16 but then obviously when FAMU has their homecoming I'm working so I really can't I can't shoot out and shoot back that thing buzzes my daughter had
Starting point is 00:13:24 last year my daughter had daddy come out the homecoming you're gonna love it it's a great experience i say baby i ain't gonna be able to make this y'all you know y'all on saturdays and i gotta be over yonder but and just hearing the stories it's one thing to watch the videos i've been watching clips obviously you know how much i love hbcu bands especially fam and. Watching clips and seeing all the stuff going on and then being able to experience it today, tonight, at PV. Man, that makes me want to enroll
Starting point is 00:13:56 just so I can get that HBCU experience. I ain't never experienced nothing like that. And mind you, I done been around the whole world. I done been everywhere the whole world. I done been everywhere. Look here. There is nothing like what I experienced tonight. I ain't got nothing against PWI.
Starting point is 00:14:14 Anybody that went to a PWI, bless your heart. Proud of you. But ain't nothing like an HBCU. Not for pageantry, not for buzz, not for electricity, not for excitement. Nah. Y'all can't touch that, y'all can't touch that. You don't understand.
Starting point is 00:14:28 Y'all can't touch that. Y'all can't touch that. Listen, it was 50 girls, 58 Ks crossed over the night. Wow. When they came out. That's a big line. Yeah, big line. When they came out, lines of 25, 25, and they came out strutting.
Starting point is 00:14:44 They had on the, had on the, one line had on the pink scarves, one line had on the green scarves. They had their shades on. And when they hit that, I can't do it because that's disrespectful.
Starting point is 00:14:54 They came with that main statement on them, Joe. What? I got the routine. I know the routine because she was doing the routine and I'm holding the camera. I'm copying her.
Starting point is 00:15:04 I'm off to the side doing what she's doing. I'm like, and she hit me after. She's like, Daddy, Daddy, you can't be doing that.
Starting point is 00:15:10 Like, I would try to hit the mirror. Like, you know, I can't do it. I'm trying to throw my pinky up in the picture. She's like,
Starting point is 00:15:16 Daddy, you can't do that. You can't do that. So now, her mama had to explain it to me. But I'm just, you know me, I'm all about fun.
Starting point is 00:15:25 I'm all about fun. I'm all about fun. And now I understand how serious it is. And I think that's why I appreciate it so much. And I think that's why I got so emotional while I was recording. Oh, my goodness. I'm finna enroll back in school, man. I'm enrolling. I'm enrolling, fam.
Starting point is 00:15:42 After this football season ends and I work, I'm going to do all my nightcaps from FAMU. I'm enrolling. I'm enrolling, fam. After this football season ends and I work, I'm going to do all my night caps from FAMU. I wish I might. That's why I took my ass back to school to finish up my degree as soon as I got. Because I had like, I had two quarters. We was on the quarter system back then. I had two quarters left. I said, man, let me get my ass back in here
Starting point is 00:15:59 because after this, and I hadn't got a little money in my pocket. Who knows? Anybody that got money in their pocket didn't go back to school. And still went back? Yeah. I'm making a bunch of the teachers.
Starting point is 00:16:11 Man, I ain't trying to hear what y'all got to say. Sitting up in a classroom? Hell nah, man. Let me get my degree. I had already a promise. I'm like, hey, hey. My brother said, yeah, hey. He's like, hey, you going back, right?
Starting point is 00:16:22 I was like, yeah, I'm going to get that thing, bro. Yeah. And I know my grandma and my mom. My mom was so, yeah, he's like, hey, you going back, right? I was like, yeah, I'm going to get that thing, bro. Yeah. And I know my grandma and my mom. My mom was so my grandmother and my mom was so proud of me to, you know, me and my brother was first and I was second to get to go to college and get a degree. Man, I was like, and plus I had to come that far, like two quarters. So basically, January through May, I'll be done with school and I have my degree. Man, please. I say, man, I'm going back.
Starting point is 00:16:49 And then you know. You know your boy, the yard. You know your boy, the yard. I need my degree, aunt. I need my degree. Just to bring everything full circle. To bring it full circle and not just use going to college as a stepping stone to get to the NFL.
Starting point is 00:17:08 I finished that feat. I did well with that feat. Now, I'm going to make grandma proud. I'm going to go back. Obviously, I'm going to enroll that. I'm going to enroll that fam at some point and get that full HBCU experience. Obviously, I'm going to force real. I know you're watching.
Starting point is 00:17:23 I know you're watching. I'm going to force her to come down there. I'm a force real. I know you're watching. I know you're watching. I'm forced her to come down there. I'm not sure. I shouldn't have that much. Maybe a quarter, maybe two left and get my degree. I sure hope so, Ojo. I sure hope you ain't further away than when you went to school. I hope you did something
Starting point is 00:17:38 while you was there. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And you know what also? Not only am I going to go to school, I want to be in the band. I want to be in the band. I'm going to ask Dr go to school, I want to be in the band. I want to be in the band. I'm going to ask Dr. Shelby Chipman if I could be in the band. I want to try and be the drum major. I want to be a drum major
Starting point is 00:17:52 because you know I'm tall now. You know I'm tall. Now I can play about three, four instruments. So I'm not sure what qualifies to be a drum major. The drum major don't play no instruments, Ocho. No, I'm just telling you. I'm telling you about my resume and what I can
Starting point is 00:18:06 do. I'm telling you what I can do. I don't think playing an instrument has any role on being a drum major. Oh, the no prerequisites? No? No. Okay, okay. The more you can do, the more you can do. So if I don't make drum major... You're not going to be playing the trumpet,
Starting point is 00:18:22 the trombone, or the drums? No, no, no, no, I don't want to play none of that. I want to be the drum major. I need the height. You know, I got the height, you know, slim, you know. You know? Man, I'm telling you.
Starting point is 00:18:33 Can you do the split? What? Yeah. I can do the split. You want me to show you? Hey, does somebody have to come pick your ass up off the ground? No, I'm flexible now.
Starting point is 00:18:43 I'm flexible. I'm flexible. I'm flexible. I can do the split. You know, March, I'd be bored. But all jokes aside, I know I'm sitting here playing around. I'm going to roll next year. I'm going to roll. I'm going to roll.

Starting point is 00:19:52 And who doesn't want that? Listen now on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. All right, Ocho. This is time for nightcap after dark nightcap after dark hey
Starting point is 00:20:10 hey hey time for this week's question of the week which is what is the pettiest thing that you did after a breakup here's some of our best answers ah man
Starting point is 00:20:24 this dude man that you did after a breakup. Here's some of my best answers. Ah, man, Jontel. Man. This dude, man. This is my guy, the real Jontel Austin. He put a bag of uncooked prawns, scallops, and tilapia in her air vent. Took her a month to trace the rancid smell. Then used her email to schedule
Starting point is 00:20:42 a plastic surgeon callback to consult her about the vaginal, what is that? Vaginoplasty? She didn't need it for real, but I just wanted to plant that seed of doubt. Man, bro, you wrong for this. That's messed up. You real wrong for this one, man.
Starting point is 00:21:07 Man, you know how it's something about... I don't even like my chef cooks... I don't even let her cook seafood or fish in my house. It's something about seafood, fish... The smell bothered you, huh? I knew it. I knew it. I knew it. I knew it.
Starting point is 00:21:23 And the fact that you can't eat it either, just the smell of it should I knew it. I knew it. I knew it. I knew it. And the fact that you can't eat it either, just the smell of it should probably bother you. Ash had sushi and put it in the bag of the trash. I pro-lily dumped the trash. You know, you better get up out of here. Somebody had some fish tonight. Who had fish tonight?
Starting point is 00:21:38 Jordan, what'd you have? Ash, you ain't eat nothing. Somebody had some hey that's a good one that you you ever did anything you know honestly you know yeah you gotta realize
Starting point is 00:21:59 I've kind of always been Shannon Sharp right right right I wasn't able to do stuff that, yeah, dude, I would have probably, I ain't do no, I mean, no, no. Because at the end of the day, like, people knew my sister, and my brother was already in college,
Starting point is 00:22:18 and then he was in the league. You can't do too much. So, you know, hey, I just took a L. Hey, you want to break up? You know, I just take a L. I'm okay. You know, still to this day, the fact I just took a L. Hey, you want to break up? You know, I just take a L. I'm okay. You know, still to this day, the fact that the first thing you just said, I'm still Shannon Sharp. So anytime you tell me your stories about people that have left you for whatever reason, like I'm sitting back thinking like, like women are supposed to be very strategic.
Starting point is 00:22:38 Women are supposed to play the long game. Women are supposed to understand who they have, who they have and understanding what's to come. Potential. Understanding potential and see what's to come. Like, that's why I always say, why the hell are they leaving you? Like, what's going on?
Starting point is 00:22:54 And the thing is, Ocho, I just like, it's okay. I mean, look, I've ended relationships. I've had relationships ended. Like I say, if a woman tells me,
Starting point is 00:23:05 oh, Joe, she say, don't call me no more. Okay, I'm done. And you done. Why you ain't call? I say, because you told me not to call. Right, right, right, right. Because the first, you tell me not to call. I call, what's up, man?
Starting point is 00:23:19 Now, Shannon Sharp been harassing me. Now that's in the paper. People looking at me sideways. Right, right, right, right, right. Hey, you tell me not to call? You ain't got to tell me but once. You good. Delete? Hey, out my phone. That's
Starting point is 00:23:33 the way I operate. Right. Because I can't run the risk of you're never going to have to work. You won't find one woman in all my years I'll be 56 in June if the Lord spare my life
Starting point is 00:23:48 yes sir you won't never find a woman say I pulled up on her that he just showed up at my house he showed up at my apartment never yeah yeah
Starting point is 00:23:57 no I've never had listen I've been dating let's see if I've been dating since 1985 since 1985 since 1985 everybody has left me for reasons that were my fault
Starting point is 00:24:09 so I had I ain't gonna say I ain't with our fault I ain't say that oh no yeah okay I'm just saying so if I'm at fault then I damn sure can't have no goddamn attitude
Starting point is 00:24:17 about them yeah exactly and you know they give you and you know they give you more than one chance yeah you know they give you more than one chance. Yeah. You know they give you
Starting point is 00:24:25 more than one chance. Nah, let me, I had a couple of them just gave me, nah, that ain't me. I'm gone. Wait, they gave you one chance? That's it.
Starting point is 00:24:33 One? Once. Oh, shit, they ain't going to be with nobody. They ain't going to be with nobody. But if you think you finna be with somebody and there ain't going to be
Starting point is 00:24:40 no issues and no problems, relationships are not and never will be peaches and cream. Be at the top of the mountain all the time. Yeah. No peaks and no valleys and no lows. That's not reality.
Starting point is 00:24:54 That's not real life. It's just not. Now, you can minimize as you get older. Your discipline gets a lot better. I can tell you that. Oh, yeah. Your discipline gets a lot better. You're you that your discipline your discipline gets a lot better you're not as you're not as reckless with some of the things that you used to do back in the day
Starting point is 00:25:10 and um the the right the right person the right person get you to change too now the right the right person to sit you down yeah it yeah it it happens. It happens. Okay. Men's underscore, underscore. Nah, he forgot. He gave me a spare key and call.
Starting point is 00:25:32 He forgot. He gave me a spare key and call me from the job to tell me he wanted to take a break. Then his homeboy called to let me know. They really is homeboy. He was trying to hit you. Well, let me read this story. He called to let me know he had caught my man and his girl
Starting point is 00:25:47 in bed together the night before so he broke up the guy the lady she said her man gave her she had a spare key he called from work to tell her he wanted to take a break
Starting point is 00:26:02 his homeboy then calls her and tells her that he caught her man who just broke up with her in bed with his girl. Golly! So he broke up because he knew the dude was
Starting point is 00:26:19 telling. So that's what he did. He knew his homeboy was going to tell him. He tried to beat it to the punch. Yeah. Get out in front of the story. get out in front of the Ocho always hey get out from the story you see what you do ask for forgiveness it's easy to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission you see what I'm saying Ocho
Starting point is 00:26:36 I'm sorry yeah we'll keep it moving so he broke up because he knew the dude was telling I remembered I had the key so I went to his house with the intention to tear it up. But then I saw his collection of fitted caps and Jordan. I proceeded to cut all the visors off the hat, all of them. I put the bleach in the bathtub and gave the Jordans a bath.
Starting point is 00:26:58 Oh, I don't. Destroying, destroying. I don't, destroying, destroying. Because you got something in your possession that you, that means something to you. Yeah, but those are things that women, they break windows, they flatten tires. They don't mean nothing. Maybe it's the jersey that you caught 265 yards in. Maybe it's that Pro Bowl jersey that you and Ray Lewis traded. Maybe it's those helmets that you traded at the Pro Bowl.
Starting point is 00:27:35 But you got something. Yeah. I've never dealt with that type that would go to the extent of vandalizing personal possessions that they didn't pay for. Something that, oh, Hurricane Paul. What's it, Pauline? Hurricane Paula. Hurricane Paula.
Starting point is 00:27:50 You got something to her. Like, one lady, her boyfriend, she don't know. She took his mom's ashes and dumped them out. On the bridge. Yeah. I saw that. I saw that. I saw that.
Starting point is 00:28:04 Yeah, boy. That's cray-cray there, boy. I ain't done. On the bridge. Yeah. I saw that. I saw that. I saw that. Yeah, boy. That's cray-cray there, boy. I ain't... Uh-uh. I don't want none of that. Yeah, that's what Mercedes says. I cut all the zippers out of one of my ex's jeans
Starting point is 00:28:16 when I was 24 years old. Since he wanted to cheat so much, I gave him easy access. She cut all the zippers out? Cut all the zippers out. Hell no. That's a good one. I like that. I like that. Jay was saying I took all
Starting point is 00:28:33 the right shoes, all the toilet paper, and the light bulbs out of the house. We put wet gum and a sack of weed. I was held when I was well. Hey, that's funny, man. Y'all doing too much with me.
Starting point is 00:28:54 He took all my silverware. He took all the silverware. Yeah. Hello, guys. I guess they do. But I guess guys be be cutting up and be doing all that kind of stuff. Continue to show up at his games with his family. Not my fault they still love me.
Starting point is 00:29:16 Hey, that's funny. Rhea. Oh, man. Shady Saocho. Yeah. Let him travel to Vegas on my flight companion pass, then cancel his companion status flight while he was in Vegas. Call that B you get to come home to.
Starting point is 00:29:37 That's a good one. That's a good one. Step sent her husband a pic of us being romantic. Ooh! See, that's what I'm telling you, Ocho. That's what I'm telling you, Ocho. See what I'm saying, Ocho? Sent a picture of them being romantic
Starting point is 00:30:00 to her husband? Sent her husband a picture of us. That's what he did. Oh, he... Come on, man. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's flawed, man.
Starting point is 00:30:11 Come on, man. No, no, no, no, no. I mean, normally, you know, dudes normally, no, they play their part. That's overplaying your part, man. Come on, man. Oh, Joe,
Starting point is 00:30:21 I'm an extra. I ain't the lead. I'm not Denzel. I'm Terry Crews in Training Day. I'm just standing there with my shirt on. That's it. You know what you is in this movie? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:34 Come on, bro. And listen, you know, I'm going to leave that alone. I'm going to leave that alone. I'm going to leave that alone. Yo, you see, they be doing too. Ocho, Ocho. You know the role. When you sign up for the job, when you go on a job,
Starting point is 00:30:55 they might need janitorial services. They might need a cashier. They might need a manager. They might need somebody to wash the window. Okay, what job are you applying for? Okay. You know that person got somebody. If you accept that job, play your role.
Starting point is 00:31:16 Yeah. And then the funny thing, so now this is how you play yourself. Because now you're going to send it a picture. If you're number two and you're trying to move number one out the way, so you can go from two to one, then all of a sudden you become number one and at some point the cycle repeats itself. You're going to be number two? You're going to be number two.
Starting point is 00:31:33 Yes! Every time. I ain't never been that type of dude. Why? Why? If you're number two, you're not even supposed to take that serious because you already know how she... If she could play with number one,
Starting point is 00:31:41 like, would she... It's not your part! You already know what it is. But don't get me... Why, don't get me started. Play your role and go home, bro. Don't get me started. They be doing too much, man. They be doing too much.
Starting point is 00:31:56 I don't get that. Man, I'm upset, little boy. Because, like I said, I try to stay in my place. Now, just tell me up front, Shannon, I got somebody. Normally, I don't really get down like that, Ocho, because let me tell you how men operate. Yes, sir. Men might not want that woman, that wife, or that girlfriend
Starting point is 00:32:25 he got. Let another man show interest in him. Because your girl is new to him. See, while you out there thinking you'll get some new one, your wife or your girl new to him. He know that.
Starting point is 00:32:42 Yeah. The game has been the game for a very long time, Monk, and I tell you like I told you before. You learn to play it. I can't get mad. Yeah. Look, hey, do you. I ain't finna get mad.
Starting point is 00:32:58 I ain't finna throw no clothes out. I ain't finna just, hey, I don't do all that. Hey. Uh-uh. We both made decisions. Now let's go ahead, okay? But I can't even look at a dude the same way. He gonna send a
Starting point is 00:33:17 husband? Bro, dude. Man, dudes go crazy about stuff like that, man. Oh, yeah. Oh, hey, you to be careful that's what stopped me yeah oh remember i told you i got caught a couple of times and i know how that thing could have ended i already know if he walked in with that chopper and your boy was shaking the covers oh i can't tell you this story because I ain't here to tell you. No, sir. So I already know.
Starting point is 00:33:50 So now Shannon got to stop putting himself in that situation because they're not being upfront. I get it. Okay, Shannon, I'm in Savannah. I'm the big fish. They're not going to be up and up. Man, but you put me in harm's way. Right, yeah. They don't think like that. They don't think like that.
Starting point is 00:34:06 They don't think like that. I'm still mad at him. I'm still mad at him. I can't believe this. Miss Sherry, to you, when I put my ex out, he took all the screws off the door hinge except one. It was hanging. He took the toilet seats off. He took the shower
Starting point is 00:34:22 head. He took the light bulbs out the room. He cut the wires to my ring camera and my doorbell. But he probably had that bang bang. But he was in love. Yeah, yeah. See, that's when they start. When they start doing, when they start, we're making a joke of it.
Starting point is 00:34:39 We're making a joke of it, Ocho. I mean, for you to go to that kind of extreme? Yeah. That's the hurt. The hurt makes you to go to that kind of extreme. Yeah, that's her. That's that hurt hurt make you do some crazy stuff on Ocho back with Ocho. We all been hurt before. Yeah. You just got to take that one on the chain.
Starting point is 00:34:57 Dang breaking up is easy when you do it and when it's breaking up. Hey Felicia tip Felicia Temple my ex definitely moved out while I wasn't home moved the bed, took the extension cord that plugged the lamp into the wall
Starting point is 00:35:13 put the whole bed back and I was in the dark and couldn't even move the bed to reach the plug man y'all be I called my bank and reported that I had fraud on my account and they gave me gave gave me back the last three months of the car payment for the car that was in her name. Wow. Hmm.
Starting point is 00:35:39 Hey, they be doing look. Are y'all? I'm glad I'm glad I had to had to deal with it. Yeah, Ocho. Man, like I said, I broke up. She said, Shannon, I want to move on. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:51 That's it? You just let it go? Ocho, but I had gotten her a lease. I had leased a car for her. I said, so what do you want to do? I said, you want to keep the truck? She said, you know, you mind if I keep it? I said, all I ask you to do, you know how many miles you can put on the car?
Starting point is 00:36:08 Don't go over. Wait a minute. You let her keep the truck after she broke up with you? Keep it. What I'm going to do with it? What I'm going to do with it? I already got, I already got, I already got six cars. Take it back.
Starting point is 00:36:21 Take it back. Take it back to the dealership. Get your money back. Sell it. Nah, nah, nah nah nah i say okay and and uh she hey call me hey i turned the car in here um i called i called the company they said i can turn it in here i said you she's like you think i would you think i would go over after you was nice enough to this day yeah to this day this day. She'll call me, ask me how I'm doing, ask me how the kids are doing, because she was around my kids
Starting point is 00:36:49 when they were really young. She'd take them to the Halloween party, take them to the amusement park. Cool. I'm cool. Look, we have fun. We do what we did. We weren work together.
Starting point is 00:37:05 I used to be, I mean, when I was younger, man, don't even look at me. If I think you're going to be somewhere, I ain't going. Right, right. But I've been very fortunate. For the most part, I don't think I've ever seen with my own two eyes, like be someplace and see somebody I dated
Starting point is 00:37:25 with someone else. I don't know how have you ever seen somebody? Have you ever seen somebody publicly that you dated? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, you know, my friend, man.
Starting point is 00:37:40 What's up? Why you good? How you doing, sis? All right. Well, y'all have a good evening. And go about my business because the way I look at it is that's one less
Starting point is 00:37:52 expense for me. That's your responsibility now. I look at it. Listen, I look at it. I use numbers for everything. Okay, boom. Okay, I get to take that one off the books. Just like owners now. When they cut somebody, I get to take that one off the books. Just like owners now. When they
Starting point is 00:38:07 cuss somebody, they want to get that money off the books. That's where I look at a breakup. It's the same thing. No disrespect. But I don't do, the thing I don't do like oh, see what women I think sometimes when women make mistakes and possibly put guys in harm's way
Starting point is 00:38:23 or make somebody feel or tell, if you don't know, if he doesn't know that at some point in time that we ever had a relationship. Why are you telling him? Because he's going to look at me some type of way. Right. I ain't telling nothing. You ever mess with her? Who? No.
Starting point is 00:38:48 Oh. I ain't telling nothing. You ever mess with her? Who? No. Oh, I've been saying, don't tell me. Some stuff, I'm a guy, some stuff you just take to your grave. Grave, yeah. You just take it to your grave. Because if you can keep confusion down, I don't want that man to look at me any kind of way than what he always looked at me. Right.
Starting point is 00:39:07 Hey, man, sharp, cool. Well, if he know he going to feel some type of way, even if they weren't together at the time of the encounter. Right. Happen. You're going to feel some type of way. So, you know what? Hey, don't mention my name. I put itching powder in his drawers
Starting point is 00:39:29 y'all be hey let me do it too but i didn't i didn't see any get a couple of people like that in training camp the rookies oh yeah it's a powder oh check this out canceled his insurance and didn't tell him and got a collect call from jail a couple of weeks later because he was driving without insurance. When I answered on the recording, he was cursing me out. You knew she did it, huh? Yeah. Damn, that's bad. Spooky Mookie said accidentally left the lid open for a container ofickets she kept as food for her lizard when I last was there.
Starting point is 00:40:09 He accidentally. Y'all mean y'all ain't really love y'all partners, man, doing all this stuff to him. Ocho, check this out. Dropped a hundred and fifty,000 debt we had accumulated on her head on her wedding day. Surprise, babe. Wait, what? I guess he
Starting point is 00:40:33 backed out of the wedding and left the $150,000 on her? I guess they had been, the debt, I guess they had accumulated debt and was supposed to be getting married that day and he backed out. Is what you're deducing from that he said i dropped 150 thousand dollar debt that we had accumulated on her head on a wedding day surprise babe she did something wrong what
Starting point is 00:40:58 yeah she did something wrong uh took all the carpet out Took all the carpet in the house that I had installed, took the furniture I bought also. Well, damn! Sheesh. Hmm. Now, I mean, when you hear about some of these things
Starting point is 00:41:21 that people have done to each other, do you think they even liked each other at all? Because when you... Yeah, I think you... Me, Ocho, me, because this is how I think, especially when it comes to women. And I've always thought like this.
Starting point is 00:41:38 And I really thought like this. I got daughters. Yeah. I got a mom and I got a sister. Yes, sir. They say you can tell a lot about a man by how he treats the women in his family. I hold the women in my family with very, very high regard. I don't call women out of their name.
Starting point is 00:41:58 Sometimes I want to. I don't put my hands on women. I don't do anything because I got daughters I got a sister, I got a mom I had a grandmother at the time and so I always think nah, have I been perfect? and I remember
Starting point is 00:42:20 telling my daughter, I said Lord have mercy because O'Shea was hell when he was well Ocho I remember telling my daughter, I said, Lord, have mercy. Because O'Shea was held when he was well, Ocho. And I know karma. Woo. Yeah. But I ain't all about that. I ain't doing nobody because I don't want nobody.
Starting point is 00:42:43 I don't want nobody doing my daughter. I don't want nobody cutting up my daughter's stuff and doing all kind of foolish. Not like that. So look, they might get some of the dad's karma, but it won't be for bulljab like this. Right. Cavalier said through his only set of truck keys in the lake. That's tough. Damn.
Starting point is 00:43:16 Lord have mercy. Y'all bad out there, man. I don't know what the hell. Very. Damn. You better do rail right. Ain't no telling her what rail do corral got that heater yeah i mean she got a military background man i know it's a man rail might make you disappear man i don't want no problem man i just i just listen i just want to live life if you ever miss work hey if you ever get in trouble, you miss work, I'm sending the folks. I don't want no issues, but I'm old, man.
Starting point is 00:43:48 I'm 56. I ain't got time for them problems no more. I don't want to auger. I just want to smoke my cigar, play my video game, and do nightcap. Yeah, that's it. Ocho, time for your favorite segment. It's called Spe Spello Cinco. I didn't even know we were spelling tonight.
Starting point is 00:44:12 I didn't even know we were spelling tonight. Ocho, this is the easiest word. You say that every time and every time is a difficult word. This is the place Ocho played most of his NFL career. Cincinnati. Oh, come on, man. C-I-N C-I-N
Starting point is 00:44:33 N-A-T-T-I Come on, man. Don't do that, man. Roll. That was right. C-I-N C-I-N N-A-T-T-I That's what I just said. Not T-N-A-T-I. That's what I just said. You said T-T.
Starting point is 00:44:49 I said T-I. T-I. Got it wrong. Chat, did he get it wrong? No. Now y'all cheating. Now y'all cheating me now. How you think I cheated you?
Starting point is 00:45:03 Because I just spelled it right. No, you didn't. Okay, how about this? We'll give you this one. Curvature of the spine is called scoliosis. What? Scoliosis. Scoliosis. Scoliosis?
Starting point is 00:45:27 Yeah. Yo, okay, you know what, Ocho? Okay, how about this here? How about this one, Ocho? How about this one? I'm going to get this one. When you have congestion
Starting point is 00:45:45 and it's backed up and you hark that thing up, it's called phlegm. Phlegm? Phlegm. See, I know it's going to be an H. It's probably an H in there. Because I want to,
Starting point is 00:45:59 I'm not saying this is how it's spelled. I want to say F-L-E-M, but I know that ain't it. So I ain't going to do that. Okay. Now, you know what can happen? It could also start with a P and really throw them off.
Starting point is 00:46:10 Right. But I ain't going to do that either. What you going to do? I'm going to go P-H-L-E-M. Am I right or wrong? Wrong. Damn. P-H-L-E-G-M.
Starting point is 00:46:25 Phlegm. I knew it. I knew it. I knew it was something tricky. I knew it. Damn. And chat, y'all don't be laughing either, because chat, I know y'all ain't know that either.
Starting point is 00:46:35 I know y'all ain't know no goddamn phlegm. Don't sit there and lie. How about this here, Ocho? David was a very timid person he was what we would call milk toast milk toast I ain't even heard the word milk toast before
Starting point is 00:46:56 milk toast yes milk and I know it's not I know it's not M-I-L-K Yes. Milk. And I know it's not M-I-L-K. That ain't, that ain't, it just wouldn't work like that. M-I-L-C-T-O-S.
Starting point is 00:47:16 Damn! What the hell that was? So where's the toast? You said milk toast. Milk toast. M-I-L-Q-U-E-T-O-A-S-T. Milk toast. Well, you got to pronounce it the right way so I know what you're saying.
Starting point is 00:47:32 I said milk toast. I thought you said toast. Toast, not toast. Milk. Milk toast. All right. That's your fault. You messed me up right there.
Starting point is 00:47:48 Like, A-Lake, you know how you say like Carlos? Carlos? Yes. Who's Carlos? No, I'm just saying. Milk toast. Carlos. L-O at the end. The O-S at the end.
Starting point is 00:47:56 You got to say toast. You got to pronounce that T. You got to. How about this one, Ocho? Staphyloccus. Staphyloccus. Staphyloccus? Yes.
Starting point is 00:48:17 It's a bacteria commonly found in the skin of the nose. Staphyloccus? Staphyloccus. Can you use Staphyloccus? Staphyloccus. Can you use Staphyloccus in a sentence, please? The staph infection was caused by Staphyloccus. Staphyloccus.
Starting point is 00:48:38 Staphyloccus. Staphyloccus. Staphyloccus. A lock us. Staff. A lock us. S-T-A-P-H. S-T-A-P-H. For lock us. For lock us. F-A-L-A-C-U-S.
Starting point is 00:49:09 S-T-A-P-H-Y-L-O-C-O-C-C-U-L-U-S. Staff of Locke. Gus. You know what? I just want to know if there's anybody in the chat. No, they ain't getting that one, though, Joe. I know. You definitely going to be a spelling bee champ to get that one. I want to know if anybody in the chat was able to get it. Forget Cincinnati. I got Cincinnati right. I want to know if anybody in the chat was able to get it.
Starting point is 00:49:26 Forget Cincinnati. I got Cincinnati right. I want to know if anybody in the chat. Yeah, I did. I want to know if anybody in the chat. You know what? Put it in the chat. Anybody in the chat got any of these right.
Starting point is 00:49:36 Or just even more. Oh, so you didn't get Cincinnati. And I told Ash, I said, Ash, we're going to give this the easiest one he's going to have. Cincinnati. I got it right. I said C-I-N-C-I-N-N-A-T-I. No, you said T-T-I. Wake up with football every morning and listen to my new podcast,

Starting point is 00:52:14 Ooh. Yeah. Chat, we got him. Chat, we got him. We got him. I think it got him. We got him. I think it's one or two people. I think. It's one or two.
Starting point is 00:52:36 Yeah, you said that already. You ain't gave me no name yet. I'm going to go Justin Herbert. It's Justin Herbert and CJ Stroud. Yeah, well, unfortunately, you know, the answer is wrong. The answer is wrong because you was loud and wrong. You was loud and wrong
Starting point is 00:52:49 because the answer is Andrew Luck, who threw for 4,374 yards in 2012. Obviously, Justin Herbert was the correct answer if we were talking about second NFL record holder for most yards in the rookie season. Justin Herbert in 2020
Starting point is 00:53:04 threw for 4,336 yards. Oh, boy. Yeah. Yeah. Here we go. Question number two. In honor of Purdue playing the NCAA Men's National Championship game tonight, which former Boilermaker was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2009?
Starting point is 00:53:27 By all means. Woody. Rob Wilson. All right. Listen, we gave you that one. We gave you that question just to give you a little confidence, just to bring you back down to earth. I got it. I got it. All right.
Starting point is 00:53:42 You ready? Yep. Let's see how happy you are after this. Which running back has the longest touchdown run in NFL history, Super Bowl history? Which NFL running back has the longest touchdown run in Super Bowl history? Willie Parker. Hey, I just want to let you know the questions I get that I have to... The words I have to spell...
Starting point is 00:54:12 Listen, I'm going to tell you. The words I have to spell are much more difficult than these questions. But, okay. It was in Super Bowl 40. All right. You're right.
Starting point is 00:54:20 I remember. They won. Who were they playing? Arizona Cardinals, right? No. Seattle Seahawks. Seattle Seahawks. Yeah. Okay. It was right. I remember. I remember. They won. Who were they playing? Arizona Cardinals, right? No. Seattle Seahawks. Seattle Seahawks. Yeah.

Starting point is 00:54:42 homeboy from HBCU. The Deke. Deacon Jones. That's my homeboy. That's my dog. Rest your soul, Deke. You know, I'm going to have to go back to the drum boy with these questions because here we go. All right, last one, last one, last one.
Starting point is 00:55:02 Come on, come on, come on. We're going to get you right here. Oh yeah, we're going to get you right here. Two teams have 31 playoff losses, which is most in the NFL. The Cowboys are one of them with a postseason record of 36-31. Which NFC team is the other that has 31 playoff losses, which, again, is the most in the NFL? Which NFC team? That means you had to be to the playoffs, go to the playoffs
Starting point is 00:55:34 a lot of times. You know what? You know what, Ocho? I'm going to miss this one on purpose, just so you feel good, because you're going to think somebody gave you that one. Don't miss it on purpose. Go ahead and do what you do. Do your justice. 49ers.
Starting point is 00:55:50 Wrong. The answer is Minnesota Vikings. Let's go. Let's go. It's all right. Damn, I did bad tonight in spelling. You didn't spell one. I was 0 for 5, huh?
Starting point is 00:56:03 Yeah. Yeah, I spelled Cincinnati wrong. I didn't really it, man. You didn't spell one. I was 0 for 5, huh? Yeah. Yeah, I spelled Cincinnati wrong. I didn't really spell it wrong. I just added a T because if you understand... Well, I spelled it wrong. If you understand the slang, if you understand the slang
Starting point is 00:56:14 in Cincinnati, when we say Nathie, Natty, you see how Natty... Yeah, yeah. It's like you got to add the T. We didn't ask you to spell Natty. We asked you to spell Cincinnati. Yeah, but it's Cincinnati. You got to drag it a little bit. you got to add the T. We didn't ask you to spell Natty. We asked you to spell Cincinnati. Yeah, but it's Cincinnati.
Starting point is 00:56:26 You got to drag it a little bit. You got to talk like you're from the Natty. You got it wrong with three Gs. Wrong. Okay, Ojo, it's time for our last segment of the night. And it's the Q&A. D-Love said, y'all need to swear jar on the show. Then whoever swears the most and spell Osinko, dunk on Unk contest for the month to get the cash.
Starting point is 00:57:05 Man, you know I'm going to win, man. Ocho be cursing up a storm. I didn't curse tonight. I didn't curse tonight. I caught myself one time at the beginning. At one time, I told you I'm not going to curse no more. I'm telling you. You know what I need to do, Unk?
Starting point is 00:57:17 I promise you. This is my problem. This is my problem. I need to go get baptized again. Because the last one is wearing off. That's all it is. That's all it is. The last one is wearing off. That's all it is. That's all it is. The last one is wearing off.
Starting point is 00:57:29 It is. It is. And I'm a God-fearing man. I'm a God-fearing man. And I don't think God or Jesus used a curse. Yeah, and I'm trying to follow in their footsteps in all facets of my life. And I think I'm going to do that.
Starting point is 00:57:42 I'm going to get baptized again. All right. Let me know when. Yeah. Upgrade case at add-on. We appreciate you swiftly following up on the portia orders for delivery. Standing on business is one of the reasons
Starting point is 00:57:52 we love supporting you and Ocho. Thank you so much. Yeah, we got to get to the bottom of this because this is unacceptable. The question is, is for your Q&A, which Marvel MC movie or television series is your favorite? Which hero or villain do you
Starting point is 00:58:08 admire most? Mine is Wilson Fisk Kingpin because of his high IQ. Super criminal. And my favorite series is Daredevil. Marvel. Marvel? Oh, that's bad because I don't even watch no damn Marvel. My bad.
Starting point is 00:58:23 The Hulk is mine. I mean, everybody knows the Hulk is mine. I mean, I got Hulk figurines, not so much here, but in my place in Atlanta. I got a big old canvas in my basement. So the Hulk has always been mine. The Hulk has always been mine. Yeah, I'm not good with that Marvel stuff. I tell you, the only Marvel thing I saw was because of Twitter. And I think it was Infinity War with Thanos and Infinity Stones.
Starting point is 00:58:57 And I only caught on to that because they tweeted about it so much on my timeline because I follow the right people. Obviously, the people in black Twitter, I follow the football, then I follow the analysts and journalists. So I got a mixture of everybody talking about the same thing and they all must have watched it at the same time like a family. So I had no choice but to know about it. Dr. Frank L. Bellamy,
Starting point is 00:59:21 how different do you think your life would have been if you played basketball professional instead of football? And Ocho, what if you played soccer professional instead of football? Oh, now we're talking. Now we're talking. I mean. I wish. Man, Ocho, I always wanted to be big, though.
Starting point is 00:59:39 And being big is not conducive. Having muscles is not conducive for playing basketball. Ben Wallace. I mean, not conducive for playing basketball. Ben Wallace. I mean, Ben was big with Ocho. I mean. Dwight Howard. They're not benching what I was benching Ocho. I mean, I was squatting down to 600 pounds,
Starting point is 00:59:56 benching almost 500 pounds. What good is that going to do in a basketball football? Well, you were benching 500? Damn near, like 475, 480. Hey, well, you. But I was only like 225, 230. Yeah, I was right up under you. I was right up under you.
Starting point is 01:00:10 Pause that, Ocho. Pause that now. Oh, I mean... No ditty. No ditty. No ditty, man. Come on now. Come on, man. We got a whole little time left. We got time left. Man, you see what I'm talking about, man? I need to get me back.
Starting point is 01:00:27 Man, come on,'m talking about the amount of weight I can lift now I've been yeah come on man that ain't what you said though I know but I was trying to you know I'll be a little bit more detailed in my description of what I'm referring to I know how they play
Starting point is 01:00:44 my bad my bad. I benched, I mean, when I was playing, I benched, I won number, I won number by 215. I benched by 380. I squat by 550.
Starting point is 01:00:54 By 550. I ain't even worried about you squatting no 550. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was squatting 550. Yeah, about that. I mean, by the time I got to year eight,
Starting point is 01:01:03 I had gotten so strong. My eight, I had gotten so strong. My lower extremities had gotten so strong. I was almost squatting, almost 700. I was working out with the defensive lineman and the offensive lineman. Ocho, you might not. I don't know if you could do it. If you did three lifts together, you'd get 700.
Starting point is 01:01:17 Bench, squat, and deadlift. I don't know if you'd do 700. No, I'm just telling you. I'm just saying, listen, ask my strength. My strength coach at the time is now the assistant athletic director at University of Kentucky, Ash Ray Oliver.
Starting point is 01:01:31 Ash Ray Oliver. Yeah, I know Ray, but you was there with Chip and Friday. Yeah. You know Chip? Yeah. Chip was in Baltimore with me when I got there. Friday was the head. I'll tell you what.
Starting point is 01:01:47 When you ask Chip, ask Chip what I did. Tripping Ray was there. Tripping Ray was there. Yeah. When I first got there, I didn't really know nobody, so I didn't really trust anybody. Ask Chip. I took 4-5 off by myself five times set it back do the 160 12 reps
Starting point is 01:02:09 by myself oh yeah with no spot no spot you ain't warm up I did too I warm up like it all because I was going heavy that day so I did like warm up I did 225 I did 135 for 10 225 for like 6 then I did like 275 for like 3 then I'm good and warm so I ended up going like I did 3 I did
Starting point is 01:02:37 365 for 12 I did 385 for 8 I did 45 for 6 then I did four, five for six. Then I did like 430 for like four. Then I was done. Yeah. See, matter of fact,
Starting point is 01:02:52 this who can attest to how strong I am, even though I'm not physically imposing, you know, through the naked eye because they see a small frame, a thin frame. I was about 210. When I was in New England, I used to work out with
Starting point is 01:03:05 Vince Wilford. Like, that's the kind of weight I was pushing at that point because, you know, I had old man strength. I think when I was in New England, I might have been about maybe 36, 37. Man, you would. Hey, so- You ain't before it now. No, I'm 56. But listen, when you talk about 405, you hit 405, well, you got 405 for 12 reps?
Starting point is 01:03:25 No, I did 405 for six, you got 405 for 12 reps? No, I did 405 for five. I used to do like 365. I can do 365 for like probably like 16, 17 times. Okay. Yeah. See, me and Wolfhawk, we used to go. We used to battle.
Starting point is 01:03:40 We used to battle in the weight room. I'm trying to give you a better context on how strong I was even though I was such a small frame. But on the inside, I was very strong on the inside. And if you ever see Vince, I know Vince Wilford
Starting point is 01:03:55 going to see this. Anybody in this chat know Vince Wilford? Ask Vince how strong I was. It's a crazy sight to see. Carlos Pons, would you have made the hall of fame if you were drafted by the Cowboys probably not um the Cowboys didn't have the type of offense uh I wasn't ready to play uh in my rookie season and so I don't know if if uh who the coach then when I got
Starting point is 01:04:21 there coach Landry oh Jimmy Jimmy was the, Jimmy. Jimmy was the coach. Jimmy. Yeah, Jimmy was the coach. And I don't know if they would have had the patience. I don't know if Troy would have had the patience that Coach Reeves, my head coach, had and John Elway had with me. So, no, probably not. Probably not. I went to the perfect situation. It's not
Starting point is 01:04:39 how high you go. It's where you go. I went to a team that they were one of the three teams that had the H-back position. The Chargers, Washington, and the Broncos. So, no. Lady Ray said, if you
Starting point is 01:04:55 were a wrestler, what would your wrestling name be in the entrance zone? And Ocho, you can't pick my way. Damn, that wouldn't make no sense, especially not as a wrestler. What would my name be?
Starting point is 01:05:13 Damn, that's a good one. I have so many songs, I like that. That's a good question. What would your name be? The name, you got to come up's a good question. But what would your name be? The name. You got to come up with a name first. Yeah. I play off an Army theme,
Starting point is 01:05:33 so I'd probably be Lieutenant Blackhawk. Like Sergeant Slaughter? Yeah. What would my name be? What would my name be? Midnight. No? No?
Starting point is 01:05:53 Nah. No? That ain't no good wrestling name, huh? Nah, hell nah. Damn. I know a song I would come out to, though. You might not remember. Remember what we do by Freeway?
Starting point is 01:06:10 No? Uh-huh. What? Ain't wrong. Nah. This ain't your day. It's going to be air. Weighing in at 205 pounds.
Starting point is 01:06:22 215. From Liberty City, Florida. Let's give it up for Milk Dunn. Hey, that's fine. As long as I got that theme song. You remember the song, Referee Way, What We Do? The title is What We Do The title is What We Do
Starting point is 01:06:45 It might be to me If we Chat Stay with me real quick If there was a Philly anthem That was a representation Of Philly by an artist It's either
Starting point is 01:06:55 What We Do By Freeway Or Meek Mill And Dreams and Nightmares That's how good it is Yeah Mine I'll probably come out
Starting point is 01:07:04 With Mystical Here We Go or Roy Jones Can't Be Stopped. Oh, there's another one. Path to Troy. I come out to Path to Troy. I know Troy, so I have Troy. Yeah. Path to Troy got a few that would be perfect,
Starting point is 01:07:21 perfect, perfect entrances for wrestling. Oh, that's a good one That's a good question I like that John Thomas said What's up, Uncle Nocho One night only to perform Live To who you going to
Starting point is 01:07:36 Hello Who you going to see? Tyrone Davis Johnny Taylor Teddy P Al Green Marvin Grave Who you going to see first?
Starting point is 01:07:46 You can rank them first to last. Well, Marvin Gaye first. I'm going to see Marvin. Johnny Taylor, Al Green, Tyrone Davis. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Now, take Johnny Taylor and switch him with Al Green. I like Johnny Taylor. I'm going to go with Johnny Taylor.
Starting point is 01:08:10 Nah, listen. i like that order marvin gaye and then you're going to see chaddy pete yeah most definitely marvin marvin marvin gaye is number one not just for his discography and the music that he has but what he did with that star spangled banner and they got them All-Star Game in 1984 and changing that rendition that has never been duplicated. Ever been duplicated. You remember him singing the Star Spangled Banner at the All-Star Game?
Starting point is 01:08:34 Yeah. In the All-Star Game? And the way he sung it? Yeah. Man. But see, that's the thing. Everybody be trying to get a record deal. Do they already know they already got record deals?
Starting point is 01:08:45 So everybody be showing up there trying to sing the Star Spangled Banner, trying to sing like Marvin Gaye or like Whitney Houston. Bro, go ahead and sing. Ain't nobody going to touch Whitney Houston, and ain't nobody going to touch Marvin Gaye's Star Spangled Banner. Those two are cemented forever. Sonny Khan said, hey, Uncle Nocho, love all the way from Pakistan. Sonny! What's up, bro?
Starting point is 01:09:08 What they doing, boy? Yeah. Uncle Nocho, I love y'all. I'm 21, dealing with substance abuse issues today. It's my first day going sober. Any advice? Also, any advice to how to pray and get closer to God? I just turned 21.
Starting point is 01:09:24 Should I buy some Shea by LaPorte? Absolutely not 21, should I buy some Shea by LaPorte? Absolutely not, you should not buy no Shea by LaPorte. But what you should do is take one day at a time. Yeah. And that's the way you have to approach it is one day, one day.
Starting point is 01:09:37 Yeah, listen to that. One day. Obviously... One foot in front of the other and every day is a battle. Listen, you got to take that serious man you got to take that seriously if you know you if you know you have an issue if you know you have a problem the fact that you even want to get help you know that that that says a lot i just lost my
Starting point is 01:09:57 mama obviously in 2021 to alcohol poisoning uh she drank she drank herself to death. So obviously you're young. And if you have the discipline to stop, it's a good thing if you stop now. The biggest thing, Ocho, is that he admits, he acknowledges,
Starting point is 01:10:16 the first part of anything is acknowledging that you have a problem. Yeah. And especially at that young age, at such a young age, normally at 21, you want to have fun.
Starting point is 01:10:25 You ain't think about stopping and getting the help that you might need. But if you can stop at night very early, it makes the back end or the second half of your life much easier,
Starting point is 01:10:37 much, much easier as opposed to trying to stop when you're in your 40s or your 50s or your 60s. Yes. So we are, we're here at Nightcap. Jay is giving you support.
