Oh, Cho, the New York Jets locker room might have a problem with Aaron Rodgers, whether it's going on darkness retreat, going on trip to self-medication, or taking controversial political rants, Rodgers has shown to be more player goal-minded than helping his
Starting point is 00:04:10 team win. Remember Ocho, when he played for the Packers, he said that he enjoys winning Super Bowl MVP, winning league MVP, more than competing for a Super Bowl. On the Jets' TikTok post two weeks ago, where players were asked, what is the most overrated thing? Rodgers said
Starting point is 00:04:25 training camp. This attitude certainly caught the attention of his teammates. An agent for one of the players has raised awareness of Rodgers' bad mentality in the locker room with Rodgers in the middle. There's complete disarray over there.
Starting point is 00:04:42 Look at how they've handled Aaron Rodgers. Has one player had more power than him? He skipped minicamp and they have been able to convert into a team player. The vibe inside the building is terrible. While other players are looking to buy in and get the team to the postseason,
Starting point is 00:04:57 Rodgers has shown, once again, he doesn't care. I mean, God damn. Hey, you know what? every team um whether whether you like it or not in chat i'm just telling you it's the way it is on all 32 teams there are certain players that are treated differently than everybody else you don't treat them all the same we get it you don't treat everybody the same now at times you know there are certain players that really don't take advantage of that situation and having special treatment i think aaron rogers is one of those who takes advantage of that special treatment because of who he is and the understanding that they do need him because
Starting point is 00:05:40 of what he has accomplished during this league, being a Super Bowl champion, for that matter, and the situation that they're in dire need of a quarterback. I think he goes overboard a little bit with taking advantage of the fact that they need him so much. But what are you going to do to me? I miss training camp.
Starting point is 00:05:57 What are you going to do to me? I miss mandatory minicamp. My bad, mandatory minicamp. Well, what are you going to do to me? I had other obligations at that time. I think he's one that feels he doesn't need it Yeah, mandatory minicamp. My bad, mandatory minicamp. Well, what you gonna do to me? I had other obligations at that time. I think he's one that feels he doesn't need it because he's been playing so goddamn long. But again, to me, team, leader, new team, new quarterback.
Starting point is 00:06:18 You missed the season last year. I'm thinking about continuity, building chemistry with your players, with your teammates, and getting them to understand that you are the leader with you being a leader and the quarterback you have to lead by example and leading by example is actually being there and showing up when it matters most even though it is mandatory minicamp because what's going to happen in those games when it matters most you're going to want those players around you showing up when it matters most listen aaron rogers has been playing this game for a very long time he knows how to play it at a very very high
Starting point is 00:06:50 level and he's damn good at it he's damn good at it so the leash for him i think is a little bit longer than most a lot longer a little bit longer than most because you ain't getting quarterbacks like that just falling off the goddamn tree. I've always felt that Aaron Rodgers felt he was beyond reproach. Aaron Rodgers felt because he's so accomplished slow, unless you were Tom Brady as coach, or if you were going to be Peyton Manning, you couldn't talk to him.
Starting point is 00:07:23 And he had this holier-than-thou attitude. And what happens if you feel that way in the beginning when you've accomplished nothing, and then you start to accomplish everything? How are you going to be, old Joe? If I gave you my ass to kiss, and I ain't got a pot to pee in, or a window to open it up and throw it out of, let me get some money.
Starting point is 00:07:42 Let me get some power. I'll show you my character I'll show you who I am that's all he's doing Aaron Rodgers has not changed this is who Aaron Rodgers has always been y'all think money changed him y'all think MVP changed him
Starting point is 00:07:57 no this is who you are you are who you are at your core a person that's benevolent magnanimous, philanthropic they didn't just get that way when they had got money. That's always in them. They've always been that way.
Starting point is 00:08:11 Who you are, it ain't on you. It's in you. Yeah. And all money does is magnify. Amplify. Your true cult. Amplify.
Starting point is 00:08:22 That's it. That's what it does. It makes you more of what you already are. If you a jerk before you got money, you become an asshole once you get it. Listen, before I had money, I was cheap. When I got money, I became a cheap bitch. When I got a little bit more money, I became a cheap motherfucker. But long as that cheap word
Starting point is 00:08:46 come first, that's all that matter. It don't matter how much I get. I'm going to stay the same and I'm not changing. I've always been benevolent. I've always given. I got something.
Starting point is 00:08:58 Yeah. Me and my brother was always like that. He got $10. He got $10. He'd go work. He'd come home. He might make $10. He'd give me $250. He got $10. He go work. He come home. He might make $10.
Starting point is 00:09:06 He give me $250. He give me something. I got money. He got money. My sister got money. I've always been that way. I've always been that way. I've always been generous with my friends. That's just who I am. Everybody
Starting point is 00:09:22 ain't like that. If you notice, a lot of times when I gave speeches that I was addressing team or my former teammates, I always end with this. I hope you enjoy playing with me as much as I enjoy playing with you. I always ended with that because I had a ball. I tried to be the best teammate I possibly could. Did I push people?
Starting point is 00:09:44 Absolutely, because I was there to win. I wasn't there to be your friend. I was there to win. Now, we became friendly or we became friends. As a byproduct of that, I welcomed that with open arms. But Shannon Sharp went to Savannah State to win. He went to Denver to win. He went to Baltimore to win. And in the process,
Starting point is 00:10:00 I made some great friends, lifelong friends. But all I cared about was winning that was it that's what I was there for and but look he is who he is he's as good a bro of the football that we've ever had in the NFL
Starting point is 00:10:20 there's no question about his talent we're not debating that that's not what the debate is. But I just believe that there are things that he's done that's not conducive. There's
Starting point is 00:10:36 no way you have that kind of talent. And you've only been to one Super Bowl? With the teams that you've had around you? What? That's not an accident, Ojo. Yeah. I hope he has a good season.
Starting point is 00:10:52 Because one thing, everything going on, you know, the retreats, the missing camps, and the things that he says, you know, politically that rub people the wrong way, one thing can erase and cure all that. Winning. That's winning. Ocho, CBS Sports ranked the top 10 quarterback with the most approved
Starting point is 00:11:13 entering the season. Number 10, Tua. Number nine, Trevor Lawrence. Number eight, Daniel Jones. Number seven, Sam Darnold. Number six, Will Levis. Number five, Anthony Richardson. Number four, Bryce Young. Number three, Russell Wilson. Number six, Will Levis. Number five, Anthony Richardson. Number four, Bryce Young.
Starting point is 00:11:26 Number three, Russell Wilson. Number two, Aaron Rodgers. Drum roll. Number one, Deshaun Watson. Okay. You know what? I like the list. I don't like the numerical
Starting point is 00:11:42 order of the list. Where you rearranged? Now, number one, Deshaun is okay. Now, I'm going to agree with that simply because of the contract situation and the amount of money that he was paid. And I'm sure he's going to get back to Deshaun. We're used to seeing, um, this is definitely a proven year for him.
Starting point is 00:12:09 Won't you? Yeah. Yeah. This is a proven year for him. I think Aaron Rogers at number two is, is, is good. It's rich,
Starting point is 00:12:19 really good. Especially him for after, after coming off an injury season, him at number two is good. Um, in the, I think Russell, for him after coming off an injury season. Him at number two is good. I think Russell at three is good. I want to put the three veterans
Starting point is 00:12:33 first as opposed to all the young bulls that we have left. Sam Darnold. Obviously, I don't think Sam Darnold. I get it. He's in Minnesota. I was going to say he had nothing to prove. J.J. McCarthy is going to be the starter for the Minnesota Vikings.
Starting point is 00:12:49 No, J.J. is out for the season. That's why they got Sam Darnold. I know. That's why I said. I'm saying moving forward. That's why he really had nothing to prove. But again, this would be good tape for Sam Darnold to put up in case he gets picked up somewhere else. Now, you've already had three stops. Maybe you
Starting point is 00:13:07 can do something with a fresh start at a new place and put film out that says, you know what, maybe he's gotten better because he has another full season under his belt. Again, you got Justin Jefferson at the helm, too. This is his fourth stop,
Starting point is 00:13:24 Ocho. He was at the Jets, he's at Carolina San Fran, now Minnesota yeah I would put Daniel Jones I would put Daniel Jones four yeah definitely not Bryce Young he should be way at the top
Starting point is 00:13:39 you got Bryce Young in front of Daniel Jones yeah Daniel Jones well damn Will Levis only played he only had one season You're talking about a Daniel Jones? Yeah, Daniel Jones. Well, damn, Will Levis only played, he only had one season. Yeah, I don't get to hear this, boy. Anthony Richardson is coming off a, I don't like this list. I don't like this list. Now, the only thing that I can agree on is the first three,
Starting point is 00:14:01 Deshaun, Aaron, Russell. Yes. For Russell Wilson, this is the make it or break it year. This is the make it or break it year for Russell Wilson. My problem is, Ocho, is that a lot of times you look at the guys, look at the contract Deshaun got, look at
Starting point is 00:14:18 what Russell was paid, and Daniel Jones, they gave Daniel Jones money and they ended up losing Saquon because of it. And he was he had he had basically eight game stretch. And parlayed that into 40 million dollars a year. Yeah. So he has it. So you. So you got Daniel Jones as your number four. I put him in NFL quarterback.
Starting point is 00:14:43 Yeah. Now, Trevor put him in NFL quarterback to prove. Now, Trevor Lawrence and Tua, excuse me, they just got these big contracts. Yeah. So let's see. Obviously, you have something to prove. You have to prove that I'm deserving because I didn't pay you for what you did. I'm paying you
Starting point is 00:14:59 for what I believe you can do moving forward. You can do, yeah. So I would have them at five and six. Trevor Lawrence, Tua, five and six. And then all the young boys. They just got the lead up there. Yeah. Damn.
Starting point is 00:15:15 Yeah, so Deshaun, Aaron, Russell Wilson, Trevor Lawrence, and Tua. And then after that, I mean, it's based on who you want to put up there. I probably have sam donnell with 10 uh since the browns guaranteed wastes 230 billion dollar country this is what they got barely 12 games healthy and available 59 completion rate nearly as many turnovers 11 as touchdown throws 14 14. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:47 That's why he's number one on the list. I saw him at the Super Bowl. He said he's healthy. He said he looked good. I mean, he had surgery. He said he looked good. I want him to do well. I think people, because of what transpired off the field in Houston, I think people forgot just
Starting point is 00:16:04 how great he was and the trajectory that he was on. And because of what transpired, people obviously, it's just natural. People are going to look at you a different way. And he hasn't, I mean, he got suspended and he didn't play well. And then he
Starting point is 00:16:20 wasn't playing well. He got injured again. And so this is just make a break, Ocho. I'm not saying make or break because the contract's still guaranteed. I'm just saying as far as how we perceive him and what we expect of him. Because at some
Starting point is 00:16:36 point in time, Ocho, we can't keep saying, well, man, you know he missed a year because he did. Remember his last year in Houston, he didn't play. The next year, he was suspended, what, in houston he didn't play the next year he was suspended what 10 11 games so he only played five the following year after that on joe he got hurt early got hurt got hurt so you know who else can go on that list too who i think this might also be a make or break a season maybe maybe not ky not. Kyler Murray. I can see that.
Starting point is 00:17:06 I can see that. Kyler Murray. I just think the thing is, Ocho, that contract and the way it was written, I think it made people look at him differently. Because nobody, we have never seen a contract
Starting point is 00:17:20 written like that. That we ask a guy to do away from, away, let that sink in, Ochoo we need you to study x amount away from the facility so we had never seen a contract written like that right right right and i don't know girl how you think how you think these these insiders work you thought that agent you thought that was going to be able to sneak by and nobody with the adam shepard or the jay glazers or all these insiders wasn't gonna get up mike florio's
Starting point is 00:17:51 and all these guys they won't get a hold of that old show yeah a contract written like hey listen it made me it made me mad it made me mad the fact that they even had to put that in there for one because if he's a gamer, you have to think about this. Kyler Murray didn't just start gaming. He didn't just start gaming. He's been good at his craft all his life. Once you get to the NFL, you understand what it took to get there. You understand the work and the time that it takes.
Starting point is 00:18:20 And it's needed to be able to compete at the highest level and be a good quarterback. I think he understood that. And the fact that they even had to put it in there because it's a hobby of his that he enjoys doing, and it's off time. There has to be some type of off time. But to answer your question. Something you do outside of the game of football. Is it interfering with what you do, what we're paying you to do?
Starting point is 00:18:43 Clearly, they believed it was, Ocho, or they wouldn't have put it in there. If your weight is an issue, you ever had a weight clause in your contract? Yeah, I did. Exactly. I never had a weight clause in my contract either. Why? Because I was too big. I was 230 and they said I was too big. I had to come on down.
Starting point is 00:19:00 Think about it. They never put a clause, okay, Shannon, if you do off-season workouts, we're going to pay you half a million dollars because they knew I liked the workout. They're not going to put things in your contract. They don't necessarily. So that tells me
Starting point is 00:19:15 something was going. You do realize, Ocho, they can see how much film you watch. Yeah. Yeah. They can tell when you watch it, how much you watch, how long you watch. Yeah. Yeah. They can tell when you watch it, how much you watch, how long you watch for.
Starting point is 00:19:29 I think, I think they caught on to that. I didn't think, I don't think the players realized that at first. Oh, because you know, you watch,
Starting point is 00:19:36 you watch it on the iPad and they keep track of everything. Yeah. That's fucked up. Starting point is 00:24:03 you get your podcasts. He could have been one of those quarterbacks that be out partying, turning up, having a good time, out on the weekends, doing everything, doing everything else. But hell, gaming, that's where they draw the line. We got to put some contract. We can't have them gaming like this. They're asking him to watch film away from the stadium. Ocho, did you think about that, Ocho?
Starting point is 00:24:34 They don't game. But what about, can you watch film as much as you game? How much you making? How much they paying you? Are you Ninja? Are you Booger? Are you Casanat? I'm just trying to figure out what's going on.
Starting point is 00:24:50 I mean, you asking us to pay you $250 million. Think about it. And you know what's funny? You see how you just said that? See how they put that thing in Kyler Murray contract about him gaming? Now look at the landscape. Look at the lay of the land. Now you got players with podcasts
Starting point is 00:25:05 away from the stadium now you got players like my dog Sauce playing Call of Duty Jamar Chase playing goddamn GTA you know these dudes are making big bucks but still able to be able to balance
Starting point is 00:25:20 when it's time to work I'm ready to work and I get the job done. But when I'm home... Quarterback is different. You know that. Oh. Okay, my bad. Oh, Ocho, you know it's a whole different animal
Starting point is 00:25:38 playing that position. Yeah, different ballgame. You're right, you're right. I mean, you can do... But you know how that be. Once you leave, you know how that be. Once you leave, you know how that be. You're already in there
Starting point is 00:25:50 7 in the morning. Once you get 5 o'clock and you're done for the day, you want to clock out. And when you clock out, you want to clock out. You think Peyton Manning clocked out? You think Tom Brady clocked out? You think Patrick Mahomes clocked out?
Starting point is 00:26:08 Oh, Mahomes be on the game too now. I ain't say he don't be on the game. I ain't say you couldn't be on the game. Okay, okay. Yeah, I know what you mean though. How much time is he on the game? Okay, that's a good one. See, when you left the huddle, you didn't
Starting point is 00:26:22 care if the line ripped the lids. You didn't care if they duel or molly. You don't care nothing about that. Right. That guy that ain't going to quarterback better know. He better know if they're going to rip a lids or they're going to molly that. Right. He better know.
Starting point is 00:26:37 Okay, where am I hot at? You outside the number. You not hot. That's the slot receiver responsibility. Oh, that's the back responsibility. There's so much on his plate. So much. Man, look here, bro.
Starting point is 00:26:54 Man, this money. I didn't even think about, man, what you going to do when you, man, I ain't thinking about retiring. I'm thinking about this. I'm trying to be the best football player I can be right now. But I ain't thinking about retiring i'm thinking about this i'm like i'm trying to be the best football player i can be right now but i ain't thinking about that bro like i said i just have i had a different mentality and uh i make no apologies hey you be who you are but bro i ain't gonna lie to you it'll be hard for me to play in today's game. Because I'm not so ā€“
Starting point is 00:27:25 You think so? I don't think guys are serious about winning. Shit, boy, I'd be out here cutting a fool. I ain't wasting my time. My time is important, bro. I put too much into it, Ocho. All this foolishness and that dilly-dally. Bro, I'm trying to win.
Starting point is 00:27:43 I want to win. You would have been good, though. These guys don't want Ocho. The money has gotten, I'm trying to win. I want to win. These guys don't want Elcho. The money has gotten so great, I don't believe guys want to win. I don't believe it's a burning desire and passion because they let too much bull jive go. You see your teammate bull jive and you cool with
Starting point is 00:27:58 it. Hell no. I was never cool with it. Especially if you got look, if you're one of these guys that ain Especially if you got, look, if you one of these guys that ain't going to play, hey, but guys, if you playing, if I'm counting on you, and you horse jiving around.
Starting point is 00:28:16 Yeah. All I'm going to say when they ask me, this is what I'm going to do. I ain't going to say nothing. Yeah, you would work in today's game, Unc. You're too goddamn serious, brother. I want to win, Ocho. Do you know? I know you want to win. You could win, but you ain't got to be, you're too serious.
Starting point is 00:28:36 Like, you're supposed to be running for election or some shit. You can't be playing in today's game. I could, Ocho, and I know that about me. I know that about me, Ocho. I do. I know that about me. Because winning that about me. I do. I do. I know that about me. Cause winning. Right. That's all I cared about.
Starting point is 00:28:47 That's all. The only thing I cared about was winning. You can still, you can still enjoy yourself. You can still enjoy yourself. It lets you head out and, and, and,
Starting point is 00:28:57 and have fun and win. I enjoyed winning. I enjoyed preparing to win. And I was miserable when I lost, I was miserable to be around when I lost. A lot of times my girlfriend would go home when I lost. Okay, babe,
Starting point is 00:29:12 I know you don't want to be bothered tonight. I'm sorry. I'll see you tomorrow. God damn. I put too much time in Ocho because you know why? The more time you invest in something, the more it hurts. That's why people, you see people when they invested a lot in a relationship, 10, 15 years, and it hurts. I'm sending flowers.
Starting point is 00:29:37 I'm writing. I'm not saying me, but I'm saying they're sending flowers. They're writing. They're buying gifts because they don't want it to end because they're invested. And then you see people they gone and like I wouldn't even with that person because they didn't give a damn from the beginning they weren't investing
Starting point is 00:29:52 when you invest in something it hurts I don't care what it is when you put time in it when you you invest it man please no it when you invest it. Man,
Starting point is 00:30:06 please. No, everything ain't for everybody. Everything's not for everybody, Ocho. Broncos offensive lineman Mike McGlitchy was asked about Bo Nix being named starting quarterback. Bo has come in and been authentically himself. And I think that's all you can ask for him.
Starting point is 00:30:23 He doesn't have to be somebody that he's not just because he's a superstar quarterback of an NFL franchise. What'd you take from that, Ocho? Man, I don't know. I don't know what motherfucking McGlinchey's talking about. I don't like the subliminal.
Starting point is 00:30:39 You don't know what he's talking about. Listen. He doesn't have to be somebody that he's not just because he's a superstar quarterback of an NFL franchise. You just told me you didn't know what he was talking about. What is the point of saying all that? You didn't have to say all that.
Starting point is 00:30:54 So you do know what he's talking about. So you do know what he was talking about. Yeah, but listen. So what are you talking about though, Cho? Hold on. Hold on, but you just said sublimity yeah that's what it sounds like to me
Starting point is 00:31:09 so a subliminal message is a message that you understand but he gave it to you subliminally so what is he saying he ain't putting no name on it so you can't use subliminal B because you don't know what he's talking about yeah I don't know what he's talking about but I don't like what he said
Starting point is 00:31:24 I don't like the way he talking about. Okay. Yeah, I don't know what he's talking about. But I don't like what he said. I got it. I don't like the way he said it. Because the person... What did he say? Hold on. The person he talked... But listen, he said... He tried...
Starting point is 00:31:33 He acting like my dog, Russell Wilson, wasn't being his motherfucking self. You said you didn't know what he was talking about. I'm putting words in the goddamn context. You said you couldn't say that because you didn't mention no name. Officer lineman Mike McGlinchey. Russell Wilson been Russell Wilson since day one.
Starting point is 00:31:51 Russell Wilson been Russell Wilson, a God-fearing man, since he was at Wisconsin. So he's always been this way. He's always carried himself the same way. So I'm confused. When he was in Seattle, he carried himself the same way. And what was the problem the Seahawks teammates had with him?
Starting point is 00:32:09 You do know. You do know. You do know. What was said on show, you've heard, sir. You've heard my show. You've heard others. Don't do that on show.
Starting point is 00:32:19 Don't do that. What'd they say? You gotta remind me. What'd they say? We ain't gonna go back to this. You don't know. But you know what was said. So while you keep saying this you don't know but you know what we're saying so while you keep saying he was himself
Starting point is 00:32:27 they had the same thing to say about it in Seattle that they said about him in Denver so you're absolutely right he was himself but how many people believe that was who he was well obviously
Starting point is 00:32:43 you can listen I like where you went right there so if you only show one who he was. Well, obviously, you can know, listen, I like where you went right there. I like where you went there. So if you only show one side of yourself, right? I've only seen one side of him. No, but... I've only seen one side of him.
Starting point is 00:32:56 From what I heard and from the players that I talked to, what he was when he got there and what he became was two different people. Ah, now see, I wasn't around there for that. See, I wasn't around there for that. I was
Starting point is 00:33:12 with Russell Wilson at Bible study. I don't know what he was at Bible study. I don't know what it was school. I don't know what it was. I'm just saying what was relayed to me that people that played there were people that played with him to me that people that played there.
Starting point is 00:33:26 Right. What people that played with him in Denver and people that were close. I don't need to get. Look, everybody. I know that's that's that's the beauty of life. That's the beauty of life. At some point, at time, as we grow, as we mature, mature we evolve sometimes we evolve for the better sometimes we evolve for the worse some people aren't going to be okay with your growth and they might speak on that in a negative tone or in a positive tone sometime who you are you
Starting point is 00:34:01 know what i don't like the way he is there's nothing you can do about that because your change your growth and your your willingness to evolve might rub other people the wrong way but it's about what you want to do mike zimmer is back in dallas hotel where he first began his nfl career the former bikers head coach reflected on his fine but rather than sharing some lessons learned that from his mistakes, he seemed to blame his players. They asked me if I wanted to address the team. I said, hell no,
Starting point is 00:34:31 they got me fired. Zimmer who admitted he hold grudges says he's not watched one Minnesota game since. They asked me if I wanted to address the team. I said, no, hell no. They got me fired hey listen you know there is a saying there is a saying in the NFL and coaches notice behind closed doors players can get you hired players can get you fired for sure players to get you hired, players can get you fired. For sure. Players can get you paid.
Starting point is 00:35:05 Players can get you paid too, now. You know, so I understand where Zim is coming from, but normally you don't hear that coming from a coach. If you know Zim,
Starting point is 00:35:13 you do. Normally you won't say, hey, hey, yeah, hey, boy, Zim coach,
Starting point is 00:35:16 you know, Zim was the defensive coordinator in Cincinnati, now. I know, I know, I know how he is, but that's funny.
Starting point is 00:35:23 That's funny to hear, you know, coming from coach, being truthful, being authentically himself, and really not biting his tongue or changing, you know, what he wanted to say. Hell, that motherfucking got me fired. I love it. And standing on business about that. I love accountability, Ocho. You know I'm big on accountability.
Starting point is 00:35:38 And it's easy a lot of times to blame the coaches, but at some point in time, players got to go play. Yeah, they got to. There's only so much coaching you can do. There's only so much coaching you can do. There are only so many X's and O's that you can do. At some point, you got to go out. Damn them X's and O's.
Starting point is 00:35:55 You got to go out. There's some Jim's and Joe's. Jim's and Joe's. Jim's and Joe's. Hey, you draw that up there? Anytime you draw X's and O's on the blackboard, they don't move. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:08 Oh, yeah. Yeah, it's up to the players to go out there and execute it. Coach asked me all the time, hey, 84, why'd you do that? I said, because when you drew it up on the board, that X didn't move. I got on the field, he was moving all over the damn place. So I think I had to adjust.
Starting point is 00:36:25 Yeah, yeah. He was booing all over the damn place. So I think I had to adjust. Yeah. Yeah. He's crazy about his mom. Hell no. Hell no. They got me fired. But Zim's funny, man. Man.
Starting point is 00:36:38 The Eagles are entering a new era without Jason Kelsey. Not only was Kelsey the primary leader in the locker room, but also someone who had handled duties on the offense. In fact, he handled some things Jalen Hurst didn't have to. But that all changes this year. Hurst said the eagerness to learn was halted due to Kelsey's expertise.
Starting point is 00:36:57 So, you know, a lot of times, you know, we saw a couple of times Kelsey and Hurst disagreeing. Elsie wanted his protection to go one way. Hurts thought it should go another way. Now, Kelsey being who he was, being
Starting point is 00:37:11 the leader, being in the locker room, being a very senior guy, he has felt he needed to fall back. But no longer. We had a great player, Jason Kelsey, who took a lot of responsibility as a result of that. I was told not to worry about a lot of things. And so my eagerness to learn over the years kind of was halted, but now times are different. Ocho, what are you expecting from
Starting point is 00:37:34 Hertz? I like it. I like it. I like it. I like the fact that he wants to know, but you know, it's a lot, it's a lot to learn when it comes to the center position. The center position is the goddamn glue that holds that line together. It all goes and starts with the center position. So now the fact that Hurts will also know the calls that are
Starting point is 00:37:58 made. A lot of he's going to be making because they turned it. That was Kelsey. Remember what he said? He said, hey, don't you? But they turned it over to Hurts. That was Kelsey. Don't worry about it. Let Jason turned it. That was Kelsey. Remember what he said? He said, hey, don't you? It hurts. That was Kelsey. Don't worry about it. Let Jason handle it. So he's ripping Liz. He's making it so, okay, we're going to molly. We're going to duel it.
Starting point is 00:38:15 What are we going to do here? Now, he's the senior guy. They got a new center. He says it's on my show, and I'm eager to learn. Yeah. I'm sure he's going to be fine. Listen, his plate has become just that much more full now.
Starting point is 00:38:33 You have to take on a much bigger load. You already have enough to worry about as a quarterback when you come to the line of scrimmage. Obviously, you know, point out the mic, watching the the safety point at the safety being able to understand the hot reads knowing what's going on so he has a lot to learn and a lot on his plate but i think i think hers is going to be fine it comes with the territory of playing the quarterback position it just does that's why it commands the kind of money it does as well because you have so much to worry about but i think he's going gonna be fine especially the game of football hadn't changed he'd been playing the game of football for a very long time defenses haven't changed it's just a lot of them you have to know a lot of them you have to learn about i think i
Starting point is 00:39:15 think i think it'd be if you go back and look at some of the nfl films you saw one of the arguments that peyton and jeff saturday got into it about who's going to call it. And Peyton was like, hey, shut the bleep up. I'm going to call it. You know, they're going back and forth. Because a lot of times with guys like Peyton, they're like, no, no, no, no, no. I got this. Because if you miss this call,
Starting point is 00:39:37 I get hit in the back of my head. If I get hit in the back of my head and I make a call, I can live with that. If I get hit in the back of my head, you make a call, I'm going to put my foot in your ass. Your ass, yeah. So, I'm not surprised by this. Jalen Hurts lost 60 of his last seven
Starting point is 00:39:52 starts after starting 29 and four in his previous 33, including the playoffs. Hurts still has an important and a very good, no, great supporting cast. A.J. Brown, Devontae Smith, and now Saquon barkley and they just traded for uh johan dawson johan yes go boy oh joe check this out they got a night they got a nice three
Starting point is 00:40:14 headed must over another day another non-basketball play on caitlyn clark the sky have committed more than their share of hard files on caitlyn cl DeShields got into the action on Friday. She fouled Clark twice in a span of 40 seconds in the fourth quarter of the Fever's 181 victory and later knocking her down. The play was ruled flagrant one. DeShields giving Clark two free throws. Clark made both free throws, reached a career-high 31 points for the game. Oh! 30 points, 12 assists.
Starting point is 00:40:45 Also, hold on, for the first game and also the record for the first 30-point 12-assist game in WNBA history. Ocho, 17% of the WNBA's flagrant fouls this season have been committed against Kaitlyn Clark. Ocho, 17% of the WNBA flagrant fouls have been committed against Clark. Hey, 17% of the WNBA flagrant files have been committed against Clark. The Chicago sky were responsible for 80% of the flagrant files committed against Clark. But you know what?
Starting point is 00:41:17 Oh, Joe, it's the great white high. There's nothing Shannon. You just want to support that white girl. She busted y'all ass. Hey, there's a white girl. She busts in y'all ass. Hey, there's the women. I ain't going to call y'all name.
Starting point is 00:41:29 Y'all have a lot to say. Y'all even tag me. Why y'all tagging me? Somebody say something to y'all. Y'all tag me. I ain't calling names. I ain't going to get into it. I ain't petting like that.
Starting point is 00:41:43 But, hey, ladies, when people say things to you guys, I don't think you should be what they say, call you all kind of names. I don't believe nobody should be called out of their names. But I don't know why when somebody addressed y'all, y'all feel y'all need to tag me. They're addressing y'all.
Starting point is 00:42:01 If they want to address me, they would address me. Y'all keep me out of this. Y'all keep me out of this. Y'all said what y'all. If they want to address me, they would address me. Y'all keep me out of this. Y'all keep me out of this. Y'all said what y'all said. But I'm just trying to figure out why y'all lump me in. No, no. They're talking to y'all. They're talking to me.
Starting point is 00:42:17 Y'all try to make me y'all own. If you like Caitlyn Clark, you got to hate Angel. And if you love Angel, you can't say anything good about Kayla Clark. Y'all can't tell me what the F to say. I'm going to say what I want to say. Yeah. Now, back to my originally scheduled program. Kayla Clark doing the thing on the mojo.
Starting point is 00:42:38 Yeah, she had that cutting up now. She had that cutting up. Listen, you notice how the season, as the season has gone on, how she's gotten a little bit more comfortable. I thought the women that know. She got a little bit more better. What about these women that follow their coach? I thought they would know that.
Starting point is 00:42:53 I thought they would know. The way they talk about it, one of them coach, they cover the game, they got podcasts, and they cover all these sports. Now, all of a sudden, I stand. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. She's sharp on both sides. Cutting ass left and right. Yeah, she playing good ball.
Starting point is 00:43:14 Good. She playing good basketball. Is that what you're saying? I hate to see if she playing great. She playing good basketball. Listen, make all hands, hands, hat off to caitlin clark she playing
Starting point is 00:43:29 some damn good basketball but she's a good player oh joe and if you set aside the fact that look people give her credit and i get it a situation and hey well what about all these old heads they did bro what about all the old head that never got the love and admiration that michael jordan got when he came in the league right that happens as time goes on guess what 20 years from now somebody's gonna get credit that lebron james didn't get it happens don't be resentful of it embrace it I get it but I'm just trying to figure out how 17%
Starting point is 00:44:10 of the flag rip off if unnecessary roughness happened to one player 17% of the time that's not an anomaly that's not an outlier that ain't no coincidence no that's not an outlier that ain't no coincidence no
Starting point is 00:44:25 hmm coincidence is not a coincidence right Ocho if you get five speeding tickets in a year they ain't picking on you you just drive fast
Starting point is 00:44:43 that's what that is that's what that is that's what that is They ain't picking on you. You just drive fast. That's what that is. That's what that is. That's what that is. All right, Ochoa, it's time for our last segment, and it's called Q&A. East Coast, oh, we got graphics. Yep, see, here we go.
Starting point is 00:49:28 Holy shit. I don't know why that shit was so damn funny. East Coast camp said Oregon is trash. They struggled against Idaho, and they'll struggle in the Big Ten. Trash. They trash, Ocho? Who that? Oregon? Idaho and they'll struggle in the big 10 trash. They, they trash. Who that Oregon?
Starting point is 00:49:49 Wow. I don't care about Oregon. I don't, I don't, I know who I do care about my goddamn beavers who I predicted. Listen, chat. I don't know if y'all know,
Starting point is 00:49:59 I know we in Q and a right now. I don't know if y'all know, man, shut out to my Oregon state beavers. Shut out the coach. Trent Bray coach. Trent Bray. we in Q&A right now. I don't know if y'all know. Man, shout out to my Oregon State Beavers. Shout out to Coach Trent Bray. Coach Trent Bray, congratulations on winning today. Did you know that Beavers' favorite
Starting point is 00:50:12 food is potatoes? Did you know that? I thought it was wood. You didn't know that? I thought it was wood. Them teeth. Listen, they play in Idaho. Idaho's known for potatoes. Oh, so they went and ate the potatoes, huh?
Starting point is 00:50:29 Went and ate them goddamn potatoes. Shout out to my Florida A&M University and Coach Cozy on beating South Carolina State today. I'm so happy, man. I'm so happy. You ever had any beaver? You ever ate any beaver? You ever ate any beaver? Nah, you don't eat beavers. Yeah, you do.
Starting point is 00:50:50 What you be talking about? You be trying to get me to do it. You do eat beaver. Nah, you can't. You can't eat no beaver. Yeah, you can. Yeah, yeah. Think about it.
Starting point is 00:51:01 Now, when you drive to your coffee, yeah, I eat a mean beaver. No, no, I don't eat no beaver. Yeah, you eat beavers. I don't eat no beavers. You don't eat a plenty of beavers. Nah, not them kind of beavers. Nah, not them kind of beavers. Yeah, I'm retired.
Starting point is 00:51:19 I'm retired from there. I'm retired from that, boy. Why you laughing? I'm laughing. I'm just thinking about it. Yeah, I had to think tired from that, boy. Why you laughing? I hate them days. I didn't start thinking about it. Yeah, I had to think about it for a minute. I ate a few beaver. I ate a few beaver. I ate some.
Starting point is 00:51:33 All they do is clog up your damn pond. It's the damn... That's what they do. Hey, yo, what was the conversation like between you and john cena off camera he used to be my favorite wrestler growing up at ocho want to know head uh uh common session and undisputed lol he was great uh he came in uh got it i think he had some water
Starting point is 00:51:59 he got water to drink he didn't eat anything did he did john eat anything just had water he got some water sat down got made up he had a hard out time so that lets me know that okay they tell me he got a hard out time i gotta make sure i'm tight uh try to ask the questions that i think the viewing and listening audience want to hear john cena and so but he was great he was really gay really engaged uh complimented say man you really do a great job. I've watched your show. I can tell you do you and your team do a great job of doing your homework and knowing the guests. That means a lot for CJ and his team and myself, the kind of work that we go in and prep to make sure we try to make the guests feel as comfortably as we possibly can. We try to have hair and makeup if they need it. A lot of times they bring their own hair and makeup people.
Starting point is 00:52:46 We try to have food there for them to eat, water, whatever they ask. They give us a rider, which lets us know, okay, they write down, okay, what do you want? You want orange juice? You want apple juice, pineapple juice, grapefruit juice? You want sparkling? You want steel? You want what type of product you want?
Starting point is 00:53:03 Is there anything? We try to have that there for mojo but he was he was great and all the guests all the guests for me i haven't had a bad guest uh um some guests are more talkative than others uh normally they come in there's a hey man hey thanks for having me on or she'll say the same thing thanks for having me on they give me a hug i let them do what they need to do. Hey. They be ready to go. But John, John was unbelievable. He was, he was, he was unbelievable, yes. Rodney Diggins, what up,
Starting point is 00:53:31 Rob? Oh, do you remember when you ate Georgia Southern up? Yeah, I do. They beat us. They beat us, but I beat them, Ocho. That was the year they won. As a matter of fact, that was my last, that was 89. They ended up winning the national championship that year. They started, you know, Ocho, they wasn't going to let us come down there and beat them.
Starting point is 00:53:48 But I hit them up, Ocho. Yeah, I hit them up. This is how you know somebody hit you up. Their head coach used to be the Georgia Bulldogs defensive coordinator, Irk Russell. Right. And the year they won the national championship, he was the defensive coordinator when they won.
Starting point is 00:54:03 He was the head coach at Georgia Southern. I did such a phenomenal job. At the end of the game, walked to the middle of the field, he gave me a victory cigar. Now think about what I just said. They beat us, and he
Starting point is 00:54:19 gave me the victory cigar. So you was out there cutting that, huh? I hit him up for nine, for 202. I had an eight. God dang! I had like an 80 yarder call back. I would have gotten over 300. I had 300. I'd have had over 300. I hit him up for 91.
Starting point is 00:54:36 That might be the longest touchdown in that stadium. I hit him up for 91. Had to grab, you know, hit him up. Okay, okay. Bad day. I was up, mo know, get him up. Okay, okay. Oh, sheh, hey, man, they, they, I was up, Ocho. J.C., uh,
Starting point is 00:54:50 Jason C. say, didn't Rice to use and stick him? Does that affect his legacy? Ocho, does that affect his legacy? Nah, hell nah. You talking about Rice, huh? Nah, hell nah. I ain't think about that. I, I, I, I, he was hell nah. I ain't think about that.
Starting point is 00:55:06 He was so great. I'm not sure why he was just at the time. I think he wasn't the only one doing it. He just might have been the one that got in court. But listen, to put up the numbers he did, that goddamn stigma ain't got shit to do with that. Clayton Johnson said, Uncle Nocho, Benabronco fans, it's Elway at Water Sharp.

Starting point is 00:55:56 proud. Tommy said Ocho did a great job inside the NFL yesterday. Hey! NFL matchup highlight. Ocho, what do you think about the guys in the short high end prime years making Hall of Fame guys like Sterling Sharp
Starting point is 00:56:13 Nande Asimov and Cam Chancellor Cam played how long did Cam play I'm not sure Cam played a decade that ain't no short career my brother played Cam play? I'm not sure. I think Cam played a decade. That ain't no short career.
Starting point is 00:56:29 My brother played seven years, and at the time he retired, I think Jerry was the only one that had that many catches in a seven-year span. Also, Jerry was the one that had Cam played eight years. Yeah, Cam's style physically was really not conducive for playing long term.
Starting point is 00:56:50 I mean, that collision, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think if guys, I don't know, like, I don't know Cam's stats, so I don't know how many all pros, I don't know, like, I don't know Cam's stats, so I don't know how many all pros. I don't know how many pro bowls. I do know he won a Super Bowl, and I think he was injured and just got injured in the second. Maybe he got injured in the second. I'm not really sure.
Starting point is 00:57:17 He went to four. Ashley putting it up here now. He went to four pro bowls, no all pros. I mean, I think three pro bowls gets you on the ballot. I think, Ocho, don't quote me on this, Ocho, no all pros. I mean, I think three Pro Bowls gets you on the ballot. I think, Ocho, don't quote me on this, Ocho, but I think I know Nnamdi had some years where he was unbelievable with the
Starting point is 00:57:34 Raiders, but then he went to Philly, and then everything that he did to the Raiders, he damn near erased when he was in Philly, because he got cooked. He got cooked. Aaron Knight, 26, Aaron Knight, 26, Aaron Knight, 26, got cooked he got cooked air night 26 uh air night 26 and ocho is burl winning the super bowl this year for us who joey d is he winning the super bowl for you guys hey but listen we we have a great chance we have a great chance to go to the super bowl and i'm telling you it would be an
Starting point is 00:58:03 amazing story but one we got to take care of business first. We got to get Chase paid. We got to get Chase paid. We need Burrow to stay healthy. If we get Chase paid, we have Burrow stay healthy with that supporting cast on offense. Man, we're going to be all right. But we're going to be nasty. We're going to be all right. So I'm excited. I'm excited for us. Good luck with that. I hope y'all have a great season. But as long as y'all don't play the Ravens, as long as y'all don't beat the Ravens or the Broncos, I don't care what else y'all do. Hey, we're going to beat the Ravens.
Starting point is 00:58:35 That ain't happening. Twice. That ain't happening. All right. That ain't happening. Has Joey B ever beat Lamar? Maybe once. Yeah, I think we won in three against him
