Starting point is 00:00:00 The forces shaping markets and the economy are often hiding behind a blur of numbers. Starting point is 00:03:30 See dkng.com slash promos for deposit, wagering, and eligibility restrictions, has Lamar Jackson won enough to secure the MVP? Draft King Sportsbook still has Josh Allen as a minus 230 underdog, but he's the favorite, minus 230. So that means he's the favorite. See what I mean? As Lamar has a plus 185. dog but he's the favorite about us 230 so that means he's the favorite see what see what I mean as Lamar see what I mean plus 185 is this is this is this after the game or before the game after see what I mean some see that's why I say the vote must already be in they somebody knows some somebody well no
Starting point is 00:04:19 here's the thing your vote don't have to be in until normally I think I vote had to be in by Monday by noon. Right. Because you know, you got to vote for all the awards, you got to vote for all pro because you get a vote, you vote for all the all pro team, offense, defense, kicker, coach of the year, rookie of the year, you know, offensive rookie year, defensive rookie of the year, MVP, comeback player of the year, so forth and so on. So all that. So you obviously and, uh, it might, it might be after the game, after the last game. But, but I'm thinking, I'm thinking, okay, I'm thinking it was noon Monday. Okay.
Starting point is 00:04:57 Like I said, it's been so long ago. Hell, I hadn't worked at CBS in so long. I mean, I think last year was like The Broncos were in the Super Bowl. So that was 2013. So it's been like it's been 12 years. So that was a long long time ago, but For me, I'm just saying and I think Josh Ellis had a phenomenal season but 41 touchdowns with less than five interceptions. That's impressive because Aaron Rodgers and we know how gifted Aaron Rodgers is at the throw of the football.
Starting point is 00:05:32 I mean, you think about all the great quarterbacks. Only two have ever done this. Aaron Rodgers and Lamar Jackson. 900 rush yards with 4,000 passing yards. No quarterback has ever done that. He did it. The second highest quarterback rating in NFL history. He got it. It's crazy. He got a lot of firsts to seconds. He's had a lot like I
Starting point is 00:05:58 said. I'm glad I ain't a bowling guy. I'm glad I'm not a bowling guy. I'm glad I'm glad I ain't a voter now. I'm glad I'm not a voter now. I'm glad I'm not a voter now. I'm not. However, on the week that he was named the Pro Bowl, Zay Flouse, he's the first Ravens wide receiver to ever be named to the Pro Bowl. What? Drafted. He's the first, well, cause what you call him, but he was the first drafted Ravens wide receiver to ever be named to the Pro Bowl. What?
Starting point is 00:06:25 Drafted, because what you call him, but he was the first drafted wide receiver to the Pro Bowl. Derrick Mason. Because I think, what's the guy that was at Tennessee? Derrick Mason. Derrick Mason, I think Derrick Mason went to the Pro Bowl. I wouldn't even say. You know what it's like?
Starting point is 00:06:41 Kansas City, Patrick Mahal was the first Chiefs quarterback drafted who went to playoff games. They've had other guys win playoff games, but they weren't drafted. Safe Lines was drafted. So you go back and you look at all the players that were drafted. It's the first one that ever made the Pro Bowl
Starting point is 00:07:01 that actually wasn't. Yeah, because... Okay. Thriller Michael Jackson, he was from the Browns. So he came over, rested, so he got killed in a traffic accident on a motorcycle. But man, I hope Zay is okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:22 Injured right knee early in the second quarter and did not return. So hopefully they were able to get a get him some treatment Yeah, I'm biased I want the money with yeah, okay, okay, I mean wow sue me Really sure you finish on that helmet, huh That was me The Super Bowl helmet is at the house so yeah, I'm biased I want to tell you Okay, sue me But I
Starting point is 00:08:02 Might get low and did that y'all might have to cut it off my head. But I hope he's okay. Hopefully they're able to uh, yeah, okay. Yeah, so what? Man, Ocho. DT Michael Pierce spoke about his interception. Let's take a listen to what he had to say. That was so funny, boy. I want to try for six. So there's a long history of turning big guy interceptions and fumbles and all that stuff into memes. So at the risk of ruining a career play like that for myself,
Starting point is 00:08:38 it's time to go home. So bus was all the gas. You good. Hey, I was like, oh, Joe. I was hoping. He had a blocker. He could have got it. He'd have made it, Ocho. You think so? Yeah, because the guy had already- listen, wasn't nobody back there. So now all of a sudden, he had a blocker that had already picked up the quarterback.
Starting point is 00:08:55 Now, he got a head start on the offensive lineman. Hey, uh, you know how funny that would have been? If he had- 355? Listen, 355, he had a convoy of people. You know how fine people would have been if he had 355. He had a convoy of people. You know how three would have been three. What that three 55. That's the weight that he weighed in at training camp.
Starting point is 00:09:13 We probably about three 70 there. Hey, you know, it's hard to sweat on Joe when it gets cold. It's all the way. Yeah. You know, it's hard to sweat. Hey, he should have. He should have took that man. He should have took that.
Starting point is 00:09:24 I remember I remember Vince Wilford had one one time. Yeah. Hey, that's hard to sweat. Hey, he should have took that, man. He should have took that. I remember Vince Willfolk had one one time. Yeah, he tried. It was so funny, man. And you know, those don't come often. No, no, no, no, no, no. Listen, you dropping past coverage and gotta- And he picked it. Oh, Joe, he didn't bobble it.
Starting point is 00:09:41 Oh, Joe, he didn't bobble it. He caught it clean. Right in the belly. He got it, man. Listen, it won't happen again. You gotta take that, man. You gotta take that. He'll never get that opportunity again, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:09:50 He'll never. Now, Ocho, he might get one that popped up in there and he catch it, but they're gonna be on it. But to get one clean like that, and you got it on the dead run? Yeah. He took a knee and say, ah. He did that thing like that's the end of the game on choke. Like I preserved the bigger.
Starting point is 00:10:09 Hey, if you noticed on choke, he didn't take his ass to the end zone easy. He went to the side line. He was tired. He was tired. He was tired. He was tired. You were tired. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:27 I don't blame you. Hey, congratulations, big guy. Hey, that was awesome, man. Michael Pierce with the interception. He might have been the heaviest guy to help. No, hold on. Maybe that Tennessee Titan. He picked off one.
Starting point is 00:10:38 Jeffrey Simmons? No, the guy from Texas. Didn't he pick off an interception to take it to the house? Cause I think he had to recognize, the heaviest guy to ever return to the interception, I think he was like 340. Nah, that ain't gotta be a dope feeling, man. That's it for the big boys. Woo! That's it for the big boys Whoa Oh Joe, yeah, what was what's the guy the bond rate? What's the guy that they drafted from Texas?
Starting point is 00:11:14 The big D lineman, I think he got a pick six Leonard Williams got a pig six member Leonard Williams Yeah little because I think that's the he's 80. Yeah, not long ago. He was a good guy. Yeah, Leonard was. Because I think that's the, he was the heaviest with the longest. Mm-hmm. Yeah, yeah, sweat. Did he get a pick six? Yeah. I thought he got a pick six against somebody.
Starting point is 00:11:37 Uh, Ochoa. The Browns have not guaranteed themselves the NFL top three draft pick. Miles Garrett said after the game, there will be something coming. Is a Miles Garrett trade imminent? Yeah, probably. I think, you know, Miles Garrett has done everything he can for the Browns organization. He's been a standout player and in the community. I think it would be do them, do them their due just and do right by him and allow him to go to a contender and, uh, and contribute somewhere else. I'm, I'm, I'm assuming maybe draft day, um, he gets traded somewhere and it'll, it'll
Starting point is 00:12:17 pay dividends as far as draft picks a concern for the Browns. They'll be compensated very well for somebody like Miles Garrett and he will go somewhere we can attend, you know, for Lombardi. Yeah. Hey, cause that's my thing a little chum. I believe the Browns are more than one player away. Yeah. You might as well like try to build this thing back up.
Starting point is 00:12:43 Yes, sir. Get them first round draft picks that Miles Garrett will bring you. Probably two ones and a two, maybe two ones, a two and a four. So I get a, we'll swap draft positions this year. As a matter of fact, no, I'm gonna get your first round pick this year.
Starting point is 00:13:01 And I'm gonna get him next year, but I'm also gonna get your two this year along with your three or your four next year Yeah Oh Joe, I think they're just they're just so much away As far as like building this thing up cuz look you got Lamar Lamar is 26 Yeah, Joe burrows 27 20. So you got to deal with those guys for the next decade. Yeah the next decade. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:26 The next decade. Now we don't know what Pittsburgh is gonna do. Maybe they bring Russ back, maybe they go, they don't strike me as a team that'll be invested on a Sam Darnall to spend that kind of money on show. They don't really like to spend heavily in free agency. They like to invest in their own. Right. If you notice them, they don't spend a whole lot of money in
Starting point is 00:13:46 Frigency. Uh, um, their mom and pop shop, everybody knows what they are. Uh, but Miles Garrett will fetch a pretty penny. Oh yeah. And if I'm the Browns, I'm listening. Yeah. Um, I'm going to try to get him out of, I'm'm gonna try to get him out of the AFC, old joke. But if somebody in the AFC offered me the best package,
Starting point is 00:14:10 well, he going to the AFC. Yeah. Because I want the best package. Yeah, you ain't got no choice. Hey, I'm going, now I'm not trading him in the division. So Cincinnati, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, don't even call. I'm not trading him in the division now. I ain't gonna be that damn fool. Can you imagine Miles Garrett and TJ Watson?
Starting point is 00:14:27 Hell nah. Man, and please. No, I can't. Uh, but don't have to worry about it. Cause it ain't gonna happen. Right. See, it's not, it's not gonna happen. Um, but the Baltimore Ravens look good.
Starting point is 00:14:42 Uh, Lamar, um, 16 to 32, 217, two touchdowns. Derrick Henry, 20, for buck 38, two touchdowns. The Ravens, 35 rush attempts, 220 yards. That's what they do. 437 total yards on the day. Bateman had five catches, 76 yards on the touchdown. Mark Andrews, four catches, 54 yards on the touchdown. Bateman had five catches 76 yards in a touchdown. Mark Andrews four catches 54 yards in a touchdown. Likely was three of 38. Derrick Henry even chipped in. Had two catches 43 yards. But the Ravens look
Starting point is 00:15:13 good. Yeah. What one sack, two sack, three sacks. I think they had like three sacks and a pick six. Well they had two sacks and a pick six. Well, they had two sacks and a pick six. So you have to be pleased with that. Like I said, Cleveland just, they need a major overhaul. They got a ways to go. They got a, listen, they got a ways to go on the offensive side of the ball. Yeah. Well, you're gonna need to have a ways to go
Starting point is 00:15:39 because Miles Garry is gonna fit up, you know, you're about to lose 14 sacks. Yeah. Uh... Oh, Joe, post went viral on Twitter showing Lamar, Alan, Mahomes, or Burrell. Which one you getting rid of? Woo! Woo-wee! That's a good one, boy.
Starting point is 00:16:02 Mahomes ain't going nowhere. So I want y'all to debate between Lamar, Josh Allen, and Joe Burrow. Listen, I like all them boys, obviously. You got to get rid of one, Ocho. I'm keeping Burrow, Mahomes, and Lamar. I love Josh Allen. I love Josh Allen. Great quarterback.
Starting point is 00:16:24 But if there's one that's got to go, it's gonna be, it's gonna be Josh. Definitely, Lamar definitely ain't going nowhere. You know, my homes is that boy. That's my quarterback. Yeah, and rightfully so. Ocho, the Chiefs were iced in today. Trouble getting on the tarmac tonight before the Bronco game. The plane got stuck on the tarmac for four hours. Will this disrupt them? Were you ever stranded on the tarmac? Absolutely not.
Starting point is 00:16:55 But I don't mind that. I don't care if you got to have me on the tarmac for 10 hours. De-ice my plane, please. De-ice my plane, because you know what happens if you don't de-ice the plane and you take off anyway. Man, I don't know. I don't know none of them problems. De-ice my plane so everything is working how it should be in flight. I don't care how long I'm on the tarmac. You don't play like that. There's a reason that they had those de-ice machines to begin with.
Starting point is 00:17:23 That they got that for a reason there. Man. I remember a 97 on Joe. We got, we had that, if y'all look it up, we had that snow storm that hit Denver that day, uh, that night and bled into that day. And I think we probably got about five to six feet of snow over the course of about 24 to 36 hours. And we got stuck and we were going to Buffalo and man,
Starting point is 00:17:51 I don't know what time, I don't know if we even ended up getting out until like maybe six o'clock. So it's already eight o'clock at night. Yeah. We didn't get in until probably about one, two. We had to go there. We put something on them though. We put the TD Red wild. into probably about one, two. That's, that's, we had to go to, we put some on them though. We put the, now TD ran wild.
Starting point is 00:18:10 TD ran wild. TD had like two oh five. We just ran the ball. Cause it was, it was, it, first of all, you know, if you go to Buffalo in December, Oh man. It's going to be f'ed up weather. Hey, I don't think, you know what, don't you know what I think about it, don't you? I've never gone to Buffalo and it had to be nice weather. It's all, it's, it's like, it's like snow.
Starting point is 00:18:27 Yeah. It's like rain. It's like sleet. It's something. Maybe in 94, it was decent. It was windy, but it wasn't no, it wasn't precipitation. But you go to Buffalo in late November, December, you kiss the baby. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:44 You kiss the baby. It yeah. You kiss the babies. It's so close to Canada, you gonna get what, hey. Just we talk about. Nah. But look, for the most part, the guys, a lot of the guys like Mahal, it's not disrupting him because he not playing. Nah.
Starting point is 00:19:00 Kelsey, a lot of the key contributors, those kids, they're not gonna play tomorrow. But a lot of these guys that are gonna be playing, they just happen to get an opportunity to play. They get an opportunity to start. Hey, the player can, hey, as a matter of fact, they can leave tomorrow morning. They can't get in.
Starting point is 00:19:14 Yeah, I don't think this doesn't affect players one bit. I mean, some people might say, it doesn't throw off anything. The game is still gonna be played. This is, I call it your downtime. This is your unwind time to get yourself focused and lock the extra time that you are on there. I'm sure everybody has their iPads.
Starting point is 00:19:35 Do your homework, do your homework. Man, we gambling. Yeah. We playing talk, we playing bull, we playing in between, man that's, hey, first of all, you know, that's time, that's time, Ocho. Anytime, hey, and that's the way we play as time. I give y'all a little insight.
Starting point is 00:19:51 Anytime there's some downtime, oh, we gonna get that gambling on. Everything, everything is for money. There's nothing, it ain't no for fun. You playing for money. So that's because that's our competitive nature for fun, you playing for money. Yeah. So, that's because that's our competitive nature. We just competitive like that. For fun?
Starting point is 00:20:11 Yeah. But I can't remember the last time I did something for fun. Right. College? Playing football, that's the last thing I did for fun. Anything now? Hey man, I played for, hey, let's just shoot some hoop. Right. We'll put some on what you want to put there.
Starting point is 00:20:26 Bro, I just want to shoot. Nah, bro. Mm-mm. Put the ball down there. If you ain't you if you ain't playing for no money on you just put the ball down. Right. Vrabel watch Vrabel changes profile pick to him playing for
Starting point is 00:20:42 Pats. What does that mean? I don't know. It's very subliminal, especially with some of the reports coming out that Kraft might be trying to bring Babrel in after only one year of having Gerard Mayo there. I'm not sure if Kraft would actually make a change that fast without giving Gerard Mayo the opportune time to change that franchise around and probably try to get them to prominence where they once were with Bill and Tom Brady.
Starting point is 00:21:08 Drake May has played well in spurts similar to that of Aaron Rodgers, but he showed flashes. He showed flashes of what he can do. And I think another year or maybe two under the helm of Gerard Mayo, I think the Patriots are going to be okay. I'm not sure how far away they are from competing in the AFC East and dominating that division once again, but they're not that far off as bad as they were this year. They have some- Who's not that far off, Ocho?
Starting point is 00:21:35 Old Patriots, okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They're not that far off. I think they'll be all right, but I think it's too early. It's too early. Now, you can give Gerard Mayo a chance. Just give him a chance. One year is's too early. It's too early. Now you can even give Gerard Mayo a chance. You just give him a chance. One year is not enough time. It's not. But they also know that if they don't hire Vable,
Starting point is 00:21:52 they're not going to get an opportunity to because he's going to get hired in this cycle. Yeah. Yeah. And so and that's and that's that's the thing, the old Joe. That's so tough. And I like Mr. Kraft, like I like all the owners, I probably know him the best. Well, yeah, I know him the best. I was gonna say prior to Mr. Boland passing and him being around, it was Mr. B.
Starting point is 00:22:12 Right. But I probably know him. I've been around him the most. Him and Mr. Blank, Arthur Blank. They've always been great to me. Always. And I like it. And he strikes me as a very, very fair guy. Um, um, because coach Belichick, I think was five and 11 in his first year and he gave him a second year and he was losing, had with that loser record until that faithful hit Mo Lewis put on Drew Bledsoe and it changed the fate of the entire NFL. It changed the fate of an organization. Um, how we view that organization, how we view Coach Belichick and Mr. Krapp,
Starting point is 00:22:48 one of the better owners in all of pro sports. Yeah. That's a tough decision. It is. Cause, yeah. Ain't no telling. Ain't no telling what message Braymoult's sending, you know, especially doing that.
Starting point is 00:23:06 And you don't, you don't really see anything like that from a head coach or from a coach in general. You know, you see stuff like that from players. You're right. But I think the thing is, Hey, maybe you know something that we don't. Yeah. Um, I think the thing is he's in a very tough spot because Mr. Kraft hand selected Gerard Mayo. He's been under coach Belichick, Tudelich.
Starting point is 00:23:32 He played for coach Belichick. He coached under coach Belichick and obviously he had things that Mr. Kraft liked or he wouldn't have made him his head coach. But I do think that he has a very fond liking to Mike Grable. Mike has proven himself. He's taken to the Titans to the playoffs a couple of times, went to the AFC Championship game. They ended up losing to Kansas City. But uh, that's a tough one, Ocho. That's a really tough call.
Starting point is 00:24:07 It's hard to pull the plug after one season, but I know Mr. Kraft doesn't want to lose on this opportunity that he believed that Mike Brayboy is a very good coach and he would hate to lose out on the opportunity. But sometimes you got to lose in order to win. Oh yeah. We've all lost that. Like man, we didn't see it at the time on show. We made decisions. Like man, I hate to do this, but I want to do it. And they can't like, damn, glad I made that decision. What's going on everybody? This is Justin Penick from John Boy Media, the host of the Football Today podcast
Starting point is 00:24:46 alongside Bobby Skinner and Chris Rose. We're rolling three times a week on Mondays, on Wednesdays, on Fridays, breaking down everything you need to know about the NFL. We're talking about the MVP race. Is Josh Allen going to pull it out? Lamar Jackson? Can Saquon Barkley even break the rushing record? Can the Steelers keep up their momentum? We talk about everything. We break it down. Stats, analytics, and of course Chris Rose is bringing his perspective on being a pro in the media world as well. Listen to football today on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts and you will be glad you did. Hope you could join us for the postseason run.
Starting point is 00:25:29 The forces shaping markets and the economy are often hiding behind a blur of numbers. So that's why we created The Big Take from Bloomberg Podcasts to give you the context you need to make sense of it all. Every day in just 15 minutes we dive into one global business story that matters. You'll hear from Bloomberg journalists like Matt Levine. A lot of this Bumstack stuff is I think embarrassing to the SEC. Amanda Moll, who writes our Business Week buying power column. Very few companies who go viral are like totally prepared for what that means. And Zoe Tillman, senior legal reporter. Courts are not supposed to decide elections.
Starting point is 00:26:07 Courts are not really supposed to play a big role in choosing our elected leaders. It's for the voters to decide. Follow The Big Take podcast on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you listen. Hey, everyone. I'm Madison Packer, a pro hockey veteran going on my 10th season in New York. And I'm Anya Packer, a former pro hockey player and now a full Madison Packer stan. Anya and I met through hockey and now we're married and moms to two awesome toddlers. And on our new podcast, Moms Who Puck, we're opening up about the chaos of our daily lives
Starting point is 00:26:42 between the juggle of being athletes, raising children, and all the messiness in between. We're also turning to fellow athletes and beyond to learn about their parenthood journeys and collect valuable advice like FIFA World Cup winner Ashlyn Harris. I wish my village would have prepared me for how hard motherhood was going to be. And Peloton instructor and Ratchet Mom Club founder, Kirsten Ferguson. And I remember going in there hot mess. So listen to Moms Who Puck, a production of iHeart Women's Sports and Deep Blue Sports and Entertainment
Starting point is 00:27:12 on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Presented by Capital One, founding partner of iHeart Women's sports. Oh Joe, Sequon Brockley chose the Giants in a new sleep ad. The Giants running back chose John Marr in a sleep aid commercial, referenced his viral moment, hard knocks when he said he'd have a tough time sleeping if Sequon joined the Eagles. Man, forget that.
Starting point is 00:27:48 I don't want to get nothing about no ad. I don't want to get nothing about no commercial. You want to troll the Giants? You want to get the Giants back for what they did to you? But basically telling you, you know, we don't value you. We don't think you are worth the money that you deserve. It's him going out there telling goddamn Sirianna, you know what? I want to play. I want to play. I want to go out here and give it to the Giants and break this record. And then you could take me out the game.
Starting point is 00:28:16 Then I sit down. That will be the best commercial. That would be the best way to stick it to John Morrow and whoever else made that goddamn decision to let him go to the Eagles. How you pronounce the guy's name? Joe Sean? Joe Sean? Sean?
Starting point is 00:28:34 Joe Shine. Showin'. Oh. Yeah, here, close enough. Jazz GM. Oh. But here's the thing, the problem that I got, Ocho, is that they played in, John's GM. Oh, but here's the thing. The problem that I got Ocho is that they played in the man face. You knew you were going to sign the man back.
Starting point is 00:28:51 You know, we'd love to have you. We, we, we, we think we owe you the opportunity to go out there and let you test the market. One thing about it where you can't believe nothing they say, listen, owners and GM owners General managers ain't no different than politicians Oh, they're gonna sell you a dream that they don't what you want to hear But when it comes time to fulfill those promises man stop Man man stuff
Starting point is 00:29:21 That's the thing though Joe is uh That's the thing, Ocho. It's uh... And um... In the process of you shopping, they telling you things, that new team, hey... It's almost like, hey, that new person in your ear telling you... I'm gonna cook and... Babe, I'm gonna take you, hey, we going to Jamaica, we going to Cancun, I'm gonna do all this... Huh?
Starting point is 00:29:44 Ocho, that thing's North Side of Clay! We going to Cancun. I'm going to do all this. Huh? Oh, that thing's not sound and clay. Hey, that new. Yeah. Oh, real? It sound good. We love and see Philly. We love that.
Starting point is 00:30:03 See the thing is, when somebody wants you and they go and they show you,. Billy showed Saquon that they wanted him. See, the Giants, we want you, but we want you because you see how they did it. They put him on a franchise tag and all that old foolishness. Now, look, think about it. You lost your quarter. You lost the quarterback that couldn't play dead on the Western and you lost your running back because you were being cheap. Oh, now. Hold on, hold on. Daniel Jones, he couldn't play dead in the what?
Starting point is 00:30:28 A Western. So now look at you. Hey, that's a good one. I like that one. That's a good one. Ocho, I mean, and then first of all, normally like when you're doing stuff like that, Ocho, you don't put that on tape. You don't put that on camera. Right. Because you make yourself look bad.
Starting point is 00:30:48 Yeah. Y'all, everybody saw that y'all played in that man face. Yeah. Everybody saw that what y'all was doing. Mm-hmm. And then you try to, and then you try to like, oh, you know, we just, you know, we just, we owe it to you because you've been so good.
Starting point is 00:31:02 What if I've been that good? Gonna break brand. Yeah. Break bread then. If that's what you feel that way about me, break bread. Y'all play it. Unfortunately. I agree with you Ocho. We talked about it Ocho last week. Yeah. I want him to get that record bad. And he would have got it. It wouldn't have took that long. It wouldn't have took that long.
Starting point is 00:31:30 I don't know how long it would have took, but I'd have been in the damn game until I got it. Yeah. He would have got it before halftime. He would have got it before halftime. The Cowboys will start Trey Lance versus the Commandos. Lance will try to showcase for the NFL that he's worth taking a chance on in the off season. Could this be the final dance for Trey Lance?
Starting point is 00:31:54 I think, yeah, I wouldn't call it the final dance. He's a young quarterback. If anything, he can still be a backup anywhere. Well, right now he can't play dead in the horror movie. Hey, Ocho, all you gotta do. That's all you gotta do. They gonna put some little ketchup on you, Ocho. That's it. Oh, I'll get him at a chance, man.
Starting point is 00:32:18 Get him at a chance. Listen, there are far off worst quarterbacks that have backup roles and sometimes third string roles in the NFL. Trey Lance is a good quarterback if in the right situation. But what I think he can do, what I think he can do is he can put up a good performance where he signs back with the Cowboys, he can be the number two behind Dak Prescott. They really liked Cooper Rush.
Starting point is 00:32:46 What else did Jerry, you know what? We're going to have to get Jerry's eye checked. We're going to have to get Jerry's eye checked. Maybe, I mean, is there a problem? Is there a problem with having two black quarterbacks? Is that the issue? Because the better quarterback out of the two, out of Cooper Rush and Trey Lance, to me, I would lean towards Trey Lance, if anything.
Starting point is 00:33:04 And that's no disrespect to Cooper Rush. I'm just understanding what Trey Lance to me, I would lean towards Trey Lance, if anything. And that's no disrespect to Cooper Rush. I'm just understanding what Trey Lance could do. I'm not saying he's that pressed out, but you know, there are similarities. You know, I think he's a better runner, better dual threat. He can throw the ball. He's efficient, you know, put him in the right circumstance. Right now, Ocho, he is a dual threat. He's terrible and awful.
Starting point is 00:33:25 That's the dual threat he was talking about right there. I don't know if you noticed it, Ocho, but there's a, think about it. Mr. Irrelevant beat him out for the job. Yeah, yeah. The last player selected in the draft, Ocho, beat hit the number three, the team that he saved. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:42 Rock Party saved Kyle and Lynch. Yeah, the job, yeah, yeah he did, he did. It was almost like, but it should've gave you, it should've given you something. Because if you think about it, think about what happened in Washington. They drafted RG3, they traded to get RG3, and they also took Kirk Cousins.
Starting point is 00:34:01 Yeah. Yeah. Mike wanted, he might like Cousins from the jump. Yeah. Let's just stay in pat. First of all, we're in Salary Cap Hill. We just got docked because we dumped all that money in the uncapped year. They took money from us. Right.
Starting point is 00:34:22 So let's stay, because if you take, if we in Salary Cap Hill for two years, we got no draft pick for two years. How do we get better if we can't sign free agency? We can't draft at the top of the draft. How do we get better, Ocho? Mm hmm. So you can't. But Dan Snyder, you know, the guy, the guy that name at the bottom of the check. He's a I want this guy and, and the Rams just kept jacking the price up and they gave them. They got it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:54 But I hope, I hope Trey Lance can come out there and show him something. Yeah. You're right. He's probably what 20 hours Trey Lance, 25. Young. If he's that might be 24. Yeah, he's young. That's why I say he's gonna be, he's gonna be 24. Yeah. See, he's gonna be, oh yeah, he's that might be 24 hey John that's why I say he's gonna be a 24 yeah see he's gonna be oh yeah he's gonna be around for a while you gonna be around for a while I'm not sure around what coaching not in a fair come on
Starting point is 00:35:15 don't do him like that now you 20-24 so they'll give that big day they're not gonna get that many more opportunities oh Joe how many how many more opportunities that Nathan Peterman got now Now if Peter, hey, hey, hey, first of all, Peterman is a noun. I mean he a bird. Oh, you're out there Peterman. That mean you playing terrible. I mean, if he had to leave, I don't know if he had to leave. You see, he's a backup somewhere.
Starting point is 00:35:36 He's a backup somewhere. Nathan Peterman. Yeah. Aw man, that joke pulled a Peterman. I don't know, but you say, hey man, that joke pulled a Peterman. I don't know, but you just say, hey man, that joke pulled a Peterman today. Hey, listen, if he can continue to be a backup and have a role and have a job in this NFL, Trey Lance can as well. And I think he will have a good-
Starting point is 00:35:54 Oh, oh, Joe, he with the Falcons. See what I mean? Lord, have mercy. See what I mean? He get an opportunity. There's no reason why Trey Lance won't be on the roster. There's no reason why he can't go out here and have a good last game and put on a good showing where Jerry Jones... He on the practice squad, Ocho. He on the practice squad.
Starting point is 00:36:11 I know what you mean. Oh, listen, but he's there. That's the job. That's the check. Yeah. Check. It ain't much, you know, compared to other NFL players, but it's a check. Yeah, he in the NFL. I mean, hey, when they ask you what you do, I'm in the NFL. Oh, okay. Yeah, I'm with the Falcons. I don't gotta go in that, I don't gotta say, oh, what I do,
Starting point is 00:36:31 I'm with the Falcons, damn it. That's it, that's all that matters. I don't gotta tell y'all I'm on the practice squad. I'm on the team. Hey, when you were in college, you say, hey, yeah, I play, what position you play? I play such and such. Don't ask me if I play I'm on the team
Starting point is 00:36:45 Damn it. So you ask it to you see you get personal. You know, I said I say I played for the Tigers. I play running back Hey, hold on We got a drink too much water Yeah, that's a Anthony, we got to drink too much water. Yeah, that's what I mean. Well, this is a trade lands is opportunity to show that if he can bet that he has something because look, obviously he showed something and the draft process. I know it was only one year. He got really hurt by that that COVID season.
Starting point is 00:37:24 He got really hurt by that COVID season. He played at a football subdivision, which is the level right below 1A. And then he only had one year starting, and then COVID came and then he sat out that year. And so he really did, that's not a whole lot of playtime, especially not playing at a very high level. and so I think that hurt him a lot But he had to show enough to that with team I mean the 49ers wasn't the one the only team that thought he had to have a high draft grade on it
Starting point is 00:37:54 so I hope he goes out there and show something. Hey cuz There ain't but so many more up and there but so many opportunities that you can get before they like, you know what? The man just say he just ain't got it. And then, um, but this is his opportunity. Uh, there are a lot of other guys that gonna be out there, Hey, he playing for a job, but
Starting point is 00:38:21 he not the only one on the roster that's playing for a job. Yeah. This is your opportunity to show, hey, this tape goes out. Everybody that's playing, they're going to be back with the Cowboys. Oh yeah. I'm trying to show the A. I'm trying to show somebody I can play. But he played, you know, he played at the same university that Carson Wentz went to. But I think Wentz was like a two or three year starter.
Starting point is 00:38:50 What? Good luck, Trey. And he a bit as well. Oh, Joe. Seahawks rookie DT Byron Murphy II took his teammates out for dinner and was pranked with a fake dinner bill of $155,000. Oh funny boy. His reaction was priceless. His actual dinner bill was much better.
Starting point is 00:39:12 It was $38,000. Hey that's good. Ocho, did y'all ever prank the rookies? Listen I had, I mean as when I was a veteran, I didn't make the rookies do rookie night. I did. Now, when I was a rookie, I'll never forget Peter Ward, Darnay Scott, Ron Dugans, Danny Farmer was there at the time, TJ. Now I had to pay for rookie dinner that night.
Starting point is 00:39:39 I can't remember what the price was, but it was a little hefty, but 38,000, thinking about that, that ain't much, y'all. That ain't much. When you look at some of the linemen, when the linemen go out, man, I've seen some of those receipts, when the boys go out, boy, it be expensive. Well, you start ordering, you start ordering that King,
Starting point is 00:40:03 you order that King Louis at 500, $1,000 King Louis. You order that King Louis. They do it on purpose. At 500, $1,000 a shot. They do it on purpose. You get like 15 shots of that. And then they go order that big one. They go order a bottle of wine that end up costing like 10 grand. Yes. You get the big one, you get the lobster. You know, they bring the lobster around on the wagon. And the lobster, this big, the wagon, y'all, y'all, I know y'all have seen
Starting point is 00:40:21 it. They bring the lobster around in the wagon. Right. He think he going for a a ride little do he know Hey, uh, hey, they don't be playing boy, they don't be playing. Uh, look, uh Portis and and ashley lily, uh, they're rookie night out. Um We hit them for about 22,000. See, that ain't bad. You know, me, I had to have a limo,
Starting point is 00:40:52 cause I ain't want nobody cuss. They gonna go other places. I had a relationship. Y'all not finna get me broken up in the middle of the season. I know, I know my loot. I don't buy my lupinatious. I ain't fooling with y'all. Same thing I tell my homeboys when they come. You know, hey Sharp, come on, let's go out.
Starting point is 00:41:17 No, bro. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. You're not finna mess with my home and leave. Right, right. No, absolutely not. I get some of my tea. Hey, hey bro, you going out? Yeah, man. Hey, my homeboys in town. Man, Sharp, you know we got him. Hey.
Starting point is 00:41:31 There you go. You good. Yeah. But other than that, on chokes. Yeah. Now, listen, if you're a rookie and you're not only a rookie and you're a first round pick, man, listen. Oh, we're Ricky Cross and Gold. Oh, they coming to get you. Because I got a limo. I got a get you cuz I got a limo I got a limo cuz I got a limo by myself daddy sent a limo for me cuz I wasn't going out with them oh I wasn't going out with them afterwards so I needed a limo that
Starting point is 00:41:55 was gonna take me back right I ain't wanna hate no no no no I'm going home right so but you know back there I think you had to get a limo for like for like five six hours, seven hours. It was probably like a hundred dollars an hour. It wasn't no sweat like that. But the only thing I made sure about you, I wouldn't let you. Get stuff to take home. I don't care if your mom, I don't care if you're dead.
Starting point is 00:42:18 I don't care if anything. You're not getting stuff. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. We're not going to do that. Brickety us. Us, us, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, a couple of bottles of that. I said, bro, y'all. But you know, they gotta get the most expensive steak. They gotta get the lobster. They gotta get the everything. So it ain't costing, I mean, 22,000 wasn't that much.
Starting point is 00:43:00 But oh yeah, you gon' pay. Oh yeah. If somebody say, oh, I wouldn't pay, oh yeah, you would. Cause we gon' take it out your check. You gon' pay. You gon' pay. Oh, you gonna pay. Oh yeah. If somebody say, oh, I wouldn't pay, oh yeah, you would. Cause we gonna take it out your check. You gonna pay. You gonna pay. Oh, it's coming. We're not gonna allow you a tradition
Starting point is 00:43:10 that's been handed down the first round draft pick, second round, a lot of times, we let them, y'all pull together a lot of times, the first round they had to pay dinner for himself. I remember they hit my brother, I think they hit my brother for like 12, 13 grand. But the thing is, is that you got to do that. If you're a rookie, you got to bring donuts.
Starting point is 00:43:32 You got to bring breakfast sandwiches. You got to bring food to the plane. I did it. You know how many times I'm hustling and bustling. I'm dressed like Jethro Bodeen, tie hanging all off. Man, about to fall off my ass. Man, don't you, don't laugh, don't joke. Cause I gotta go, man, this is you.
Starting point is 00:43:52 He want Kentucky fried chicken. He want Popeyes. He want this. I gotta go all the prying to place, man. Yeah. Hell no. That's why I gotta make the team. All this they got me doing. I'm gonna have me somebody doing this. Right.
Starting point is 00:44:07 And please. Oh man. Hell nah. But we did all that rookie singing, I went big into the hazing. We make rookie sing, you know, we might steal their car and drive that off or something like that. But all that, I ain't cut nobody here because they nobody cut my hair because it really been a bit of a cut my hair.
Starting point is 00:44:31 They're going to be a problem. So we're not going to do that. So I we didn't cut anybody here. You know, at Baltimore, we take the rookies to the goal post. I mean, that was a hard put them in the cold tub. Put them in the cold tub. Yeah, we tap the table up and put them in the cold tub. Put them in the cold tub. Yeah, we can tape them up and put them in the cold tub. Stuff like that, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:44:47 But mainly we make them sing, not your album, but I don't want to hear about your fight song. I don't want to hear about your album, but you got to sing some Luther Vandross, Barry White. I don't care. Whatever you know the words to. Other than your damn fight song. So, but yeah, but that was, that was, yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:07 That was back in the day, that was back in, yeah. We used to steal people cars and stuff like that. It's funny, because the past of time is like grown men, but we behaved like eight, seven and eight year old. Look kids, yeah. Oh, that was a good one. Armand Ross said, Brown thinks the NFL should make a rule change.
Starting point is 00:45:29 Let's take a listen to the change he recommends. Okay. The rules shouldn't be changed. Obviously, if you're in a division, you should obviously make a playoff spot, but having a 14-win team, having one on the road is kind of crazy, but I guess, you know, I don't make the rules, so.
Starting point is 00:45:46 Okay. No, we're not going to change the rules, cause y'all might lose the game, it'd be a 14-win team to go on the road. That ain't how we do it. Right. It's been like that, Ocho. So, well, listen, they go on to Minnesota, right?
Starting point is 00:45:57 They play Minnesota. Minnesota comes to them. Oh, Minnesota comes to them? Yes. So they already beat Minnesota on the walkout. They kicked the field goal. I remember. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:08 But what is he complaining about then? Because they might lose, be 14 and 0, and they have to start the season on the road. I know. Yeah. Listen, that's nothing you should even worry about. Especially that goddamn high powered offense. There should be nothing you worry about whether you're playing home or the way. I understand the advantage that players that teams have
Starting point is 00:46:26 playing at home, but listen, the way y'all rocking offensively right now, I wouldn't care if we was playing in the Sahara desert. As long as Dan Campbell is my coach and he got that wheelbarrow with him cojones, he carrying him every time he's coaching, I'm not tripping. I am not tripping.
Starting point is 00:46:44 Yeah, he uh... So, I don't agree. I think you and I both, we don't agree, because the rules are the rules. We're not going to change the rules, because we're having an anomaly. How many times the 14-win team has had to start on the road? So, one time it happened in the... 100-plus year history. Now we're going to make a rule.
Starting point is 00:47:06 So what? Nah, we're not going to do that. It was, it was, it was a great suggestion. Yeah. But, but the team, you know, and in how y'all are planned on the road and at home, it really don't matter. It don't matter. So no, what he's saying to Ocho is that if we have a better record than a division winner,
Starting point is 00:47:26 we should be at home and they should have to go on the road. Okay, I see what you're saying. No, they want a division. That's the reward you get for winning the division and that you get to play at least one game at home. At home, yeah. I see what you're saying. What's going on everybody? So listen to Moms Who Puck, a production of iHeart Women's Sports and Deep Blue Sports and Entertainment on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:50:16 Presented by Capital One, founding partner of iHeart Women's Sports. sports. Ocho. Yeah. A husband brought Christmas gifts for his ex's kid using his current wife's credit card. No. You've got to listen to this, Ocho. Check and listen to this. Take a look at this.
Starting point is 00:50:41 Let me get this correct. You're not obligated to buy another woman who you used to date her children. Yeah. Toys. Uh huh. You're not obligated to do that. No.
Starting point is 00:50:54 What makes you feel like you have a right to do that and take my credit card. I have nothing to do with that. That's. Tina, it's our credit card. This guy's just your credit card. We are married. So that means it's our credit card. So you're going to credit card, we are married. So that means it's our credit card. So you're going to be disrespectful like that
Starting point is 00:51:07 and spend my money, our money, on some other kids? They ain't no some other kids, Latina. They once was in my life, once upon a time. That was my ex and her children. They don't know their father. Their father is locked up in the carcass room. So I bought them kids. Well, I know one thing.
Starting point is 00:51:21 I know one thing. You better run me back my money. You better put that money. You better cut out. You don't even sound right. I don't want to hear no know one thing. I know one thing. You better run me back my money. You better put that money. You better cut out. You don't even sound right. I don't want to hear no more of this. Talk about it. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:51:30 You better put my money. Don't walk away from me when I'm trying to have a conversation with you. Make sure you put my money back on my card. Okay. I like the situation. I understand. I understand where he's coming from. It's the ex I used to date. The kids, situation, been around him for a very long time, understanding the circumstance that they're in.
Starting point is 00:51:53 Mom might not be in a position to be able to get the kids gifts. It's the holidays. You know what? I'm going to take it upon myself to get gifts for the kids because I know they might not be able to get them because there's nobody in your life to get gifts for the kids because I know they might not be able to get them because there's nobody in your life to do so because their father is incarcerated. Now as the woman, I understand where she's coming from as well. Man, what you doing?
Starting point is 00:52:13 You ain't dating her no more. Now he didn't get anything for the woman, he got it for the kids. Now that, you know when it comes to the kids, I don't play by the kids. So I have a good understanding of why he did it. And I also see her side where it's coming from. They have a joint account. I think what he should have done is he should have
Starting point is 00:52:30 let her know first. I say, baby, listen. There you go. Why didn't he let her know? Yeah. Tell her people say she should have let her know. Oh, why didn't he let her know? He didn't let her know because he knew if he told her, but she was going to say, ah, you ain't doing that because you're not with that. You're not with the lady no more.
Starting point is 00:52:46 And those kids aren't your responsibility. But the woman also not understanding the, I hate, it's not the word chemistry, the relationship I had having those kids in my life. You care so much about them, why don't you stay? Huh? Why don't you stay in those kids' life? If the dad is not there, they don't know that dad, you care about them kids so much, why don't you stay?
Starting point is 00:53:07 Oh, oh, yeah. You had to say it like that with me, me and the mama. We didn't work out. We work out. But them kids wasn't enough to keep you there? I thought you stayed for the kids. I'm talking about that specific situation. Hey, listen, I understand where she coming coming from. But listen, hey, you know, you know, in that conversation That he'd be arguing back. I'm just saying if I was in his shoes Baby, listen, I know I spend the money. I know you don't like it. What I'm gonna do I'm gonna put the money back on your car. Matter of fact, I'm a double what I spent and put it back in the car Yeah, that's a conversation you have before that's a conversation you have if you're in a marriage and you know, first of all, you know that's gonna cause
Starting point is 00:53:51 money out of sight cause a fight. Because now she don't know where that money went. Now you told her, babe, where that $500, where that $500 went? Well, you know, my ex, I don't really know a whole lot of people that's gonna be okay if they're married or they're in a relationship with their partner, be it man or woman,
Starting point is 00:54:09 buying gifts for the ex's kids. Whoa, whoa, wait. I could be wrong. There might be some, huh? Were they his, they weren't his kids though. They weren't his kids. Yeah, see, okay, okay. Yeah, no, no, no, not his kids.
Starting point is 00:54:21 I see some women would be understanding if the kids were yours. Yeah, oh, you ain't got no choice but to be a damn understanding. They're my kids. I'm buying gifts. Right. Ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, ain't, Because I would have understand the husband being upset that you buying your ex's kids gift. I get that. Right.
Starting point is 00:54:48 But in that situation when it's something like that, when you know they could tear the fabric, the trust, the foundation of your relationship, you got to run that A. You got to run that bar. And then you know what's funny? He understood it's all about knowing your woman. It's all about knowing who you're dating. It's all about knowing who you're dating. It's all about knowing who you're married to. He already understood.
Starting point is 00:55:06 He already knew the assignment and knowing that this is something that I actually can't even tell her because I know she's not gonna agree with it, which is why he did it without letting her know. Oh Joe, but when you put it on the credit card and she see the bill, like why the hell, who buying stuff at Taurus R Us?
Starting point is 00:55:22 Who buying, who buying? So what you saying? I told you what you gotta do though, huh? It's very easy. I don't know. Don't worry about it, Ocho. You mute, Ocho. Okay, can you hear me now? Yes. Okay, listen.
Starting point is 00:55:49 All you gotta do is, baby, listen, I apologize. I'm sorry. I didn't let you know ahead of time because I knew it wouldn't sit right between you. But what I'm gonna do for you is, not only am I gonna put the money back on what I spent, I'm gonna give you a little bit more so you can go treat yourself to something nice. Boom. Everything's solved. Matter of fact, did you eat today yet?
Starting point is 00:56:11 Come on, let's go grab a little bite to eat. Boom. She didn't try to hear that. Hey, listen, that's all I got. Because I think the thing is with her, they're like, OK, you still feel this way about the kid. You probably still feel something about her. Oh, come on now. You could be able to, you could separate the two now.
Starting point is 00:56:28 Come on now. I used to, I didn't marry you. I didn't marry you. You already know, listen, the kids, they was in my life. I feel some type of way about them, not knowing they not gonna have anything for Christmas. Come on now. She probably say, how is that my problem?
Starting point is 00:56:44 See, that's the, oh, well, women, women, women mean that. Yes. Women mean like that, man. Ocho, you married. Yeah. Your wife take money from your account and buy her ex kids. Boy, you gonna be hard, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:57:01 I already know you. You guys, look here. Hold on. Let me tell you something about men. Let me- Especially men that's in our position. Right. We're very territorial.
Starting point is 00:57:10 We're very possessive. And the mere fact that somebody might be fishing in our pond leaves me feeling some type of way. Well, I'm going to stop you right there. I'm going to tell you- What? I'm going to tell you one thing about my pond. My pond is just me. So now we got to understand. They had- I said you, I'm gonna tell you one thing about my pawn. My pawn and just me.
Starting point is 00:57:25 So now we got to understand they had. I said you were married. Okay, okay. But let's say you see what you just said now, right? And they had joint bank accounts. I ain't having joint with Nathaniel with nobody. Now that that is nothing. Married, divorced, ex-girlfriend, none of that. We not having nothing.
Starting point is 00:57:50 I think you should have a joint, but you also have an individual account. But here's the thing though, Ocho, here's where you gonna run into a problem again. You gonna lose her trust because you doing stuff that you didn't tell her. So now she's gonna have to question what else haven't you told me about.
Starting point is 00:58:04 Yeah, back then, so you know what you got, you gonna have to build that back up, huh? You gonna have to question, what else haven't you told me about? Yeah, back then, so you know she got, you had to build that back up, huh? You had to build that back up. That's all. You got to build it back up. Just, I think the thing is for me is that, look, I'm gonna be, look, now when it comes to my kids, when it comes to my family, I ain't telling you ish.
Starting point is 00:58:19 Yeah. I ain't finna lie to you. Now, if it come to my homeboy, hey, Bucky need to get, hey, look, Hey, I have to lie to you now if it come to my homeboy a Bucky need to get but a look I'm gonna take a few dollars. Yeah, but get down and look bird need a little something blah blah blah Okay, boom, but when it come to my right Ain't nothing to be ain't nothing to be discussed right here ain't nothing nothing. And listen, if it's a problem, they're going to do it.
Starting point is 00:58:48 It ain't going to be no problem because I think the thing is with me, people that deal with me, that anybody that's ever dealt with me, they already know how I am with my family. You hear how I speak about my brother. You hear how I speak about my sister. Look, my kids know I'm last option, not first choice. But I got them if it's necessary, if it's a necessity. They understand that. I don't really do all that stuff because a lot of times people like, for me, Ocho, let me tell you something that I'm not going to do.
Starting point is 00:59:21 I'm not going to try to buy my kids for the time that I missed. I'm not going to do. I'm not going to try to buy my kids for the time that I missed. I'm not going to do that. So no, I made sure my kids left college with no debt. I bought them a vehicle because I felt I owed my kid an education. I owed him that. But for what? To buy houses and buy cars and to buy this and that because I was I Sacrificed that time. No, no, no, no, that's a shame happening That's not right. I told my kids we had this conversation. I'm not see y'all think I get ahead Oh, no, I tell my kids I can't I can't buy I can't buy lost time It's the one thing that I cannot get back. That's the number one currency. It's time.
Starting point is 01:00:08 I'm your father. I'm your last option, not first choice, because I've equipped you, your mom and I have equipped you with the tools for you to go out to be the world, to be successful. Now I understand that everything is not gonna go perfect. Right. Now, if you talk to me, dad, here, this is what I'm thinking. Okay. Okay, why do you think you need to do it like this? Have you thought about doing it any other way? You come to me and say, okay, this is what I'm thinking.
Starting point is 01:00:39 And it doesn't work out, I got you. But don't bring your ass to me after you don't get it on your own. Try to be sneaky with it. Now you got to save it. No, no, no, no. But like I said, what my, if I'm with somebody and her family, she like, shut them. You know, my mom, X, Y, and Z. I got you. If we in this thing together, we in this thing together. That's that's how I am.
Starting point is 01:01:11 Everybody might have might be different. But if she needs something, I got it. But when it comes to the when it comes to my family, my brother, my sister, because for the longest time, that was all we had. That was all I had. I know my sister got money for her boyfriend to give to me and my brother. He would run money by my, uh, uh, when I was at Savannah state, he run by them $50 coming good, coming handy.
Starting point is 01:01:36 He made sure damn near every Friday he passed it through. Hey, sharp. Somebody looking for you. I already know who it was. He'd be out there in the parking lot. somebody looking for you, I already know who it was. He'd be out there in the parking lot. Right. Hand me the $50.
Starting point is 01:01:47 But yeah, I just think the thing is, oh Joe, this could have been handled had he, look babe, you know I was with Queeta, right? I was with her for like five or six years. Kids, I just want to do something for them. The dads, it's going through, she going through hard times. I just want to get them a gift she was gonna say no she was gonna say no you're gonna say hey huh then she was gonna say no that's why I can't that's
Starting point is 01:02:12 why he tell her there's certain things you can't tell that there's something it's all about understand you know it a black woman at that you think you finna and we in a joint account man man, please man Absolutely not No, sir, but you know what I do I do I do have a soft bar for kid a soft spot for kids And I'm you know But no, I look at it. Look, the big account, what a big dollar. Oh, there ain't nobody name on that but mine. Oh Joe, you'll never, you'll never have, uh, go go get some money, Mr. Sharp. There's no money in this account.
Starting point is 01:03:06 It had me crash out. The funny thing about it is, well, I mean, not to shoot. Man, I ain't gonna put my business out there, but. But I think you and I have the conversation before. It's probably not gonna go well. And then, you know, hey, you got to try to, you know. Listen, I tell you like my grandma used to say, this too shall pass. Hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Damn. But that's tough. That's tough to have a, uh, I mean, I don't know. Maybe that's common. Okay. Maybe that's common.
Starting point is 01:03:49 Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. No, but I say maybe that's common that somebody was in somebody's life for that period of time. Right. Even the kid's life from the time they were like two or three to the time they were like 12 and so forth and so on. Man or female, male or female. I don't know. Let's just say I've never been in that position. Right. And so I was just like, I think the communication is the best thing, but
Starting point is 01:04:20 you're probably right. She probably going to say no. Yeah. Probably. She probably, she going to say no. Yeah, probably. She's probably, she's gonna say no. You know, I've never been in that situation. I never have, but just listening to it, I'm just giving a hypothetical on what I would do if the situation presented itself, you know. That's it, especially if I've been with someone who's had kids and I understand the circumstance and the situation the kids are in and understand that the mom is not going to be able to
Starting point is 01:04:47 man, you know, like, you know, do, do something, man, you know, here go five, 10,000, you know, take care of the kids for Christmas, make sure they good, you know, whatever it may be. Oh yeah. You try to get on the board. You go up five to 10,000 bad bad. Oh, we talk about, we talk about our circumstance. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:03 Yeah. Yeah. Oh, we talk about it. We talk about it. You know, you know, that's, that's, that's, we talk about our circumstance. Oh, yeah. Yeah You know, you know that yes I think more low 500 a file. Yeah, I mean, I mean I mean bad I mean, yeah, I think five thousand ten thousand is a hundred hundred thousand, you know to Put them in them. How many kids is Ocho? They said it was only three. Oh Oh, nevermind. Nevermind. How many kids is Ocho?
Starting point is 01:05:22 They said it was only three. Oh, three? Yeah. Don't make me to get a good Christmas. I mean, you know, what's five, ten thousand somebody like you, man? That ain't nothing. Oh. Ooh. Bad boy. Bad. Yeah, five to five a grubber.
Starting point is 01:05:56 Oh, all right, George, you're gonna get paid this much. Joke like, boy, they ain't got nothing to do with me. Oh, man, I'm like, boy, I was thinking like maybe a thousand, two thousand, what you're old, you're saying five to ten. Damn, that means real that criminal you get that criminal keep the lights on that that keep the lights on keep it to keep him in the apartment another month or two oh it's right every like five hundred thousand dollars for three kids, what the hell you ain't gonna get? They ain't gonna get nothing.
Starting point is 01:06:47 Damn. I mean look, you write Ojo, uh, uh, uh, $5, $10,000 for somebody like you, myself and you, you and I. Not a whole lot of money. I mean, so, but he probably put out about a $500,000. I'm thinking $500,000. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:03 Yeah. But listen, I can understand her frustrations, you 500. Yeah. Yeah. Listen, I can understand her frustrations. You know? Yeah, but I tell you what, I know, hey, even now, the situation, oh, she going to feel some type of way. Five to 10,000? Yeah. Because now she going to be, oh, y'all were really connecting.
Starting point is 01:07:20 Y'all were really locked in. Listen, I was just throwing the number out there. I was just throwing the number. But you throwing the number out there, then she going to think y'all really locked in. Right. I would get a thorn in them right now I would just throw in the top just what you thought about there that she don't think y'all really locked me Right you still might be locked me. Yeah You're not just That's half our spider-sacred of the evening is time for Q&A Let's go cheap
Starting point is 01:07:44 Hey Aaron Rodgers, I know you're probably watching. Let's go tomorrow, baby. Come on now. Uh, Lainey Ray. Hey guys, thanks for having me achieve my New Year's resolution by letting me attend a live show in New Orleans. Which one of you guys are picking my vikes tomorrow and which one of y'all gonna be wrong? Who you taking, Ocho? Hey. Thank you for that question, Lainey Ray. of picking my vikes tomorrow and which one of y'all gonna be wrong.
Starting point is 01:08:06 Who you taking on Joe? Hey, thank you for that question lady. Very glad to see you back. Uh, bars must be closed. Yeah. Listen, honestly, Detroit is playing so well offensively. I know Montgomery is out. Jemerey Giles will be able to show the load, but that got there and Brian Flores got that defense playing so well, man.
Starting point is 01:08:27 Due to the injuries that the Lions have suffered, I'm edging out. It's gonna be a shootout though. I'm edging out the Vikings getting away with this one. And I got them winning the game simply because of the injuries defensively, for the Lions. winning the game simply because of the injuries defensively, you know, for, um, for the, for the lions, even though, man, Brian, Brian branch and Kirby Joseph, man, they haven't, they, they had one hell of a year. You see Kirby and you see Joseph, they make the pro bowl leading the NFL and intercepted with nine at the safety position.
Starting point is 01:09:01 Hey, it happened. I remember one year I was with Simon Fletcher. He led the NFL in Saxon. He didn't get selected. So it's happened. I remember one year with Simon Fletcher, he let in a fellow in the sax and he didn't get selected. So it's happened before. Yeah. That is great. Uh, since Ocho taking the bites, I can't pick with Ocho. He bad luck. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, lady. I'm taking the, uh, I'm taking the, uh, I'm taking the Lions. Brandon Hall, new member. Love the show, bro. Thank you so much. I really, really appreciate that. Thank you for stopping by. Hopefully you love the content that Ocho and I put out four or five nights a week, but we appreciate your support. Thank you, Brandon. We really appreciate that.

Who they? Who they? They think they gonna beat them bingles? No. Everybody was. Nobody. Nobody. Who they? You see how y'all can't handle a little prosperity. Y'all can't handle no little prosperity. A few we lost in five weeks Let's just talk about a few and there was a couple of times y'all hadn't won in five weeks So by time y'all everything Zachary thank you for our appreciate that bad and happy birthday

Who? New Orleans. Yeah, they do. They don't?
Starting point is 01:10:47 I don't know. Don't start me lying. I'm sure they do. They got some. Well, if they ain't got no strip club, we're bringing the strippers to us then. No, we ain't gonna do nothing. You don't put me in your mess, dude.
Starting point is 01:10:59 You don't wanna have a good time with your money? No. All right. All right. We gonna be busy working. Yeah. What's going on everybody? Presented by Elf Beauty, founding partner of iHeart Women's Sports. Isaiah Lancaster, Uncle Nojo, who do you guys get bounced in the first round next week of the playoffs? And can you drop new merch with your quote?
Starting point is 01:14:05 Never accept anything in a way and you wouldn't have a loss that's coming out there. Uh Well, who remember the five CDS they're gonna be I got them beating the Texans Now what happened if CJ Stroud now offers a line to side the block and CJ Stroud having day with Nico Collins and that offensive line decided to block and see they try having a day with Nico Collins. Uh that's probably he's gonna probably go against the Chargers. Khalil Mack, Bolsa. I don't even I don't even like the thought of that. So if I had to, I think that would be. And it could be a situation.
Starting point is 01:14:49 The four seed is the Rams. So I can see a scenario where both five seeds beat the four seeds, the lions or, uh, the Vikes play Minnesota play, uh, in, in, in, uh, obviously it'd be in LA. And the five seed, I think it'd be the, uh, the charges. I can definitely see them beating, uh, beating with Houston, Texas. Hmm. Guatemala, dude, if you're, if, if any of your playoff teams don't, nobody wants to see Joey B make the playoffs.
Starting point is 01:15:22 That team is, is playing hot and Joey Burrow is making plays. Thank you. That's what I'm talking about. Somebody that could actually see it. That's what I'm talking about. I appreciate that. Guatemala, whatever your name is, but I appreciate you because Uncle can't see it. But he gonna know. He gonna know. He gonna understand tomorrow and he gonna understand next week when we make it into the first round and we demand. It ain't gonna happen. We gotta play. Axel Bravo, stop lying.
Starting point is 01:15:51 You're terrified for the Broncos. Denver and Miami got all the pressure on Sunday. No one wants to face the Bengals in the playoffs. Yeah. You're not gonna be in the playoffs. Yeah. You're not gonna be in the playoffs. Yeah. Yeah, that'll be the playoff. Okay. Okay. Listen, I can't convince you because I'm not on the field, but I let I let the game tomorrow. I let Carson Wentz and Aaron Rodgers do the talking. Y'all bro, y'all scored 19
Starting point is 01:16:20 points. Stop pretending like y'all scored 40. Hold on, hold on. We played, we played a divisional opponent. A team with a score is always low. Always. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. No. Hootay. Hootay. Tim Lee, Ray Charles can see that this office being of the plan bad
Starting point is 01:16:47 The Bengals are playing bad offenses. Nobody watched the game and said oh, we're scared to play the Bengals you sound silly They're not going to the playoff stop. Thank you to him and not You could tell Tim probably got one eye I guarantee Tim got one eye cuz I don't know what the hell he been looking at. What you been watching the past four five weeks? Man stop playing. Stop playing. Ah, Angie Carr, 4,000 yards passing, 900 yards rushing, 40 touchdowns, 4 INTs, insane stats.
Starting point is 01:17:22 Lamar is him Henry 1900 yards first player in history with three 15 plunder plus 100 got a rush season yeah rushing yard season 15 touchdowns Ocho what y'all put in the water in Florida so any number of them you know look little mixture little mixer Kool-Aid you know ice cream trucks candy lady house, you know. Listen, when we drink water, we drink the water from the water holes on the side of the house. That's how it all start.
Starting point is 01:17:54 Yeah. Ashley Moore, Watt is weapons for now for the MVP, but it didn't stop Mahal when he had Hilda Kelsey, when Brady had malls, when Aaron had Adams, didn't stop my home when he had Hilda Kelsey, when Brady had Moss, when Aaron had Adams, Montella had Reif, but we draw the line with Lamar and Henry. Listen, I like that you just said that. What you need to understand is,
Starting point is 01:18:14 is when it comes to certain individuals, they will constantly move the goalpost to support whatever narrative they wanna run with. And that is what they're gonna do. You got to understand that. They will move the goalpost which is what's they're going to do. I have a feeling. I can feel it. The fact that John Tyler is still leading an MVP voting race with drag kings. I'm not sure what Vegas has all that. This is what they do. They trying to give it to him. Matter of fact, if Lamar Jackson don't win MVP, we
Starting point is 01:18:47 riot. How about we? Me and you? No, I ain't. I don't care that from Mexico. Go Falcons. Yeah. Y'all about to go on vacation Miguel. But thank you Vivian. I can be on the don't show. What do you think the reason why my home was not selected to the Pro Bowl? I think it's the third time. It's the third time since the Pro Bowl has been selected that a quarterback that has won 14 games wasn't selected. Each time that has happened, the quarterback that wasn't selected, won the Superbowl. Tom Brady in 2003, wasn't selected. He won the Superbowl. Phil Sims in 1986, he won the Super Bowl. Phil Simms in 1986, he won the Super Bowl.
Starting point is 01:19:45 And now Patrick Mahomes. We'll see if history repeats itself. Yeah, but we know why. We know why he wasn't selected. If you watch Mahomes play the entire season outside of the past, what, maybe three or four weeks, he hasn't played well at all. They won the games they needed to win
Starting point is 01:20:00 because of him playing extremely comfortable. He's played well when he had to. In moments, yeah. But overall, based on's played well when he had to in moment. Overall, but based on the Mahomes that we're used to see, this was a down year. Yeah. I mean, a down year for Patrick Mahomes is 28, 29 touchdowns, 11 interceptions and almost 4,000 yards. That's a down year.
Starting point is 01:20:20 That just goes to show you how high the bar is that he set for himself. Big Mike said, you think Saquon will regret not pushing harder for that record 10 years from now. Going to pay signing and not all the time, not going to pay signing and not being the all time leading rusher in a single season. I think opportunities like this don't come along often. I mean, you got to think about it. Only three minutes held that record since probably the 60s, 50s. Jim Brown, OJ Simpson, Eric Dickinson. So you got to go back 60, maybe even almost 70 years.
Starting point is 01:21:09 Yeah. And I think Perry, I think Joe Perry had it first. Then Jim broke his record. And then obviously, O J and then ed. Matt, you know, I don't want to get myself hot. I don't even get upset about it. Yeah. Cause they don't do it. I mean, look, I don't think.
Starting point is 01:21:34 Ain't nothing we can do. Oh, Joe. And it seems like we're, we're more upset than, uh, uh, yeah. Yeah. But he says, they said he's gonna rest. He says he's okay with it. The bigger plan, they got a higher purpose, but I don't believe those are mutually exclusive. I don't believe because you get one, you lose out on the other. No. I believe you could have them both.
Starting point is 01:22:02 But hey, that's not our decision, Ocho. I think we boys decide that we stand on but hey. Diane Weston says so uh I'm in the online store stocking on my nightcap gear. Can I make a few requests? What about socks? Underwear? Lady t-shirt? V-cut? A low cut? I want my t-shirt to match my panties when I met when I watch the games at home Okay, I like that Matter of fact, you know what you know what we have. Yeah, like what the ladies right? But the ladies we can have nightcap underwear, right?
Starting point is 01:22:42 It can say nightcap on the back and on the front it is a you can say uncle no Joe no no that's our old dude gonna come over to my why you got uncle no Joe on the front of your drawers that's the whole point why did how about we just have it on the rear maybe a like nightcap or on the rear mocho okay but then we have exclusive because we both have fans, right? We have nightcap on the back, right? And then you can either buy,
Starting point is 01:23:12 you could buy panties that say Ocho on the front or you could buy panties. No, I don't mind to say, don't say, don't, don't, don't. Hey, that's a good idea though. Like we have lingerie. No. No? I like,. You know what we have we are thinking about socks. Uh Diane. Uh Danny. Uh the t-shirts. We talk to our designer and
Starting point is 01:23:38 see how we can make that, how we can make something that's uh, that's. Yeah. But I think they want something. you know how women be i like that i like that bro oh man this over here i like that lingerie randall said hey guys i'm 25 i have a crush on a 24 year old co-. No bro. Don't stick your dick in your wallet. All the women out there in the world, and you find one woman at work? But let me finish what he said, old joke. I have a crush on a 24 year old coworker. I now suspect she's flirting or being too playful
Starting point is 01:24:19 with a much younger coworker of ours. I'm bothered because I bought her a necklace with her name on it for Christmas. I'm hurt, y'all. Man, why you leaving with money in the first place? Man, what is you doing? You don't leave with money. You don't do that.
Starting point is 01:24:38 Never do that. Ever. Go get your chain back like T.I. did, Nunu. I know you saw ATL go snatch your chain back the same way TI took Nunu chain back. You don't do that. You don't leave with money. Bro, my grandfather told me something at a very young age. He said, boy, never put your dick in your wallet.
Starting point is 01:25:03 Now, if y'all don't understand what he's saying is that you at work, that's where you make your money. Now, it's gonna go bad. Now, when it does, then what? That's how, you know, you gotta be careful with them gym romances because I look at the gym as my sanctuary. Now it goes sideways on Joe. Which one of us is not going back to that gym? Cause I'm not finna have you up in the act of the fool all up in my face. Cause the first thing, cause first of all, people don't really know you.
Starting point is 01:25:39 They go, oh man, I saw Shannon Sharpe. He was arguing with Sundergrove. He did a discussion in the corner. You see? Bro. Hey, don't, don't, no. Just be, bro, I'm just saying, look, I don't know where you work.
Starting point is 01:25:56 Even if you work at Apple, Google, if you work on a campus that got a hundred thousand people, bro, go outside, bro. Don't mess your buddy up. Yeah. Don't eat with your shit. Oh Lord. Greg said, can you give my daughter Gia birthday shout out?
Starting point is 01:26:20 She's 14 today. My mug and t-shirt came yesterday. Greg, absolutely. Happy birthday, Gia. Greg Greg thank you for watching the show thank you for being so supportive with the purchase of the mug and the t-shirt hopefully you enjoy what you ordered and it's a great quality we know it is but uh we thank you appreciate your support bro King Don said can y'all wish my son casted happy third birthday?
Starting point is 01:26:45 Caston, happy third, bro. You're too young to remember this, but one day you're gonna grow up and say, you know what? Uncle Nocho wished me a happy birthday. My dad got him and asked him to wish me a happy birthday, and they did. Caston, happy third birthday, and many more to come. Marquez, what's up, Uncle Nocho?
Starting point is 01:27:04 Today is a special day. It's my girl's, Ah-lee's birthday. Can you please shout her out for the one time love of the show, Happy New Year? Yes, sir. Ali, happy birthday. Your guy Marquez wanted to let you know how special you are and how fortunate it is to have you in his life.
Starting point is 01:27:24 So happy birthday. Enjoy this day. Hopefully you guys did something very fun, very romantic, very special. Yeah. Enjoy this day and many more to come. Happy birthday to... Dominique. Hey, Uncanote, your love nightcap question for y'all.
Starting point is 01:27:41 I placed an order for La Porte maybe three months ago. Uh, when you did the limited edition, never got it. I have a question for y'all. I placed an order for La Porte maybe three months ago when you did the limited edition, never got it. I've reached out to service, haven't got any help. Who do I reach out to? Shoot, I should email a direct message cause I want to see so we can trace, we can track it because that's not like us to drop the ball and not just like totally send it out but if you could do that we would greatly
Starting point is 01:28:09 greatly appreciate that and we'll get it taken care of. Ace said you guys can wish my sister Carrie a happy early birthday from her little brother. Carrie happy early birthday from Ace the nightcap crew Okanocho and family want to wish you one so hopefully you enjoy your birthday and do something fun Enrique Robles ocho much love my birthday is today would love a shout out the big two six if you were past GM would you trade that pick or take Travis thank you very much love what. What pick they got?
Starting point is 01:28:45 Number one, I'm trading it. I'm trying to, I get, I get, I can, uh, I get a lot in all the pins. Now if I get T Higgins, might think about keeping it. Yeah. Uh, hold on. Hold on. Now it all appears. What else could I get? Now let's just say
Starting point is 01:29:10 I give that pick you give me miles garrett and your number one pick Could that interest you it could Because I get something to help dra Drake may I get something to help my defense, uh, go along Gonzalez. But you know, well that puts him right back in the same situation though. What? I mean, Miles Garret. I mean, he wants to go to a contender.
Starting point is 01:29:40 Why would you do that to him? Oh yeah. Yeah, for sure. For sure. Hello, Ocho. Listen, I know you want to go to contender but I'm gonna send your ass to whoever give me the best price cuz contenders this is what we know Ocho contenders are not gonna give you the
Starting point is 01:30:04 best price. Well, no. You heard it, man. Thank you for joining us. The Bengals keep their playoff hopes alive with a 1914 victory over the Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens win the division the AFC North with a 35-10 win over Cleveland. Baltimore secures the number 3C. They will play the winner of if San Diego wins, they go to the six spot. Yeah. Love's a kid. If the Chargers win, the Chargers win,
Starting point is 01:30:53 oh Joe, they're six. No, if the Chargers win, they're five. The Steelers are six. If the Chargers lose, the Steelers are five and the Chargers are six. So the sixth seed will be either the Chargers lose, the Steelers are five and the Chargers are six. So the sixth seed will be either the Chargers or the Steelers. And they face the Ravens. The five seed will also be the Chargers or the Steelers and they'll face the Texans.
Starting point is 01:31:20 So that's the only thing that we know. What we do know, somebody's going to Buffalo. Either it's going to be Cincinnati, either it's going to be Miami, or it's going to be the Broncos. Seven goes to two. Six goes to three. Five goes to four. One has to buy.

Make sure you be there. You're not gonna wanna miss this. The Bengals defeat the Steelers, excuse me, 19 to 17, not 1914, 1917.
Starting point is 01:33:09 Keep their playoff hopes alive. Hopefully, they're hoping the Bengals lose and the Dolphins lose or tie. If those two scenarios happen, the Bengals are the seventh seed and they'll go on the road to face the Buffalo Bills. The Baltimore Ravens. One, 35-10, Lamar Jackson, 217 yards,
Starting point is 01:33:31 two passing touchdowns, Derek Henry, 138 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns. He became, set a record for the most rushed touchdowns in Ravens history. Also, he became the first player in NFL history to have two seasons in which he rushed for over 1,900 yards in a single season. He's also the first back to have what four seasons in which he rushed for at least
Starting point is 01:33:55 four hundred, fifteen hundred yards and had at least 15 touchdowns. Is it three or four? For Derek Henry, he was everything that the Ravens had hoped for. When they brought him in, he had three seasons. Derek Henry has three seasons when he's right for at least 1500 yards and had at least 15 rush touchdowns. Baltimore brought Derek Henry in and believed that he was everything they could hope for.
Starting point is 01:34:35 The Dallas Cowboys had no interest in Derek Henry because they would believe he could offer them nothing. He added no value to their team. Oh, one team is going to the playoffs. The other team is going home. Thank you guys for joining us. We'll see you tomorrow night after Sunday night football game.
