Starting point is 00:05:39 Wow. The Mavs say they're proud despite their tumultuous season. Clay, I think we persevered. We were down to eight, nine guys at one point and we held up the fort and got into the playing Game gave ourselves a shot to get into the playoffs. It sucks It really sucks, but I'm really proud of every man in this locker room. We showed up to work every day We try to do things We try to do the right things every day Jason kid called it an incredible Caesar Mmm, I mean they can't they can't tell the truth.
Starting point is 00:06:07 Jason kid can't say what he really wants to say. What's that? What's that? You know what they want to say. They're not going to say it. They can't say it. They are part of the team. Clay know what he want to say, but he can't say it.
Starting point is 00:06:22 What are you proud of? Actually, you let can't say it. What are you proud of, actually? You let your best player go. When you let your best player go, you bought an AD, but what happened? He got hurt soon as he got there. Cancun on what? And Kyrie got hurt. Kyrie, look.
Starting point is 00:06:42 That's the killer. You get Kyrie back and you play, now Kyrie is tremendous in the picking role. Now just imagine him dropping that thing off to AD, who got mid-range, can finish that derail and he's protection. And you got other two other bigs that can let AD play with his natural position to play where he feels most comfortable, which is the force line. So I'm not, look, I never thought this was like, we look at this right now. Because if you look at it right now,
Starting point is 00:07:11 yeah, the Lakers got the better of the deal. But in full strength, when they get Kyrie back and would pair him with AD, now you might have to ship one of those bigs off. And get, I mean, look, do I believe Dallas is going to be in the KD? Sweet Steaks? Yeah. But what do they have to offer? I don't think they have the draft capital.
Starting point is 00:07:36 So if they don't have the draft capital, basically the only team that has the draft capital, so KD, you're going to OKC. So it's going to be KD and SGA. No, I don't know, but you have to understand. I don't know if Sam Presti want that. Right. SGA, because look, now you got SGA, got the ball in his hand, all that. Hey, if they winning it, if OKC mess around and win it.
Starting point is 00:08:02 They not messing that up. They not going to play with it? Nah. Cause I agree with you, Joe. Cause I believe had Golden State won the championship against Cleveland when it was up three one, I don't believe they get Kevin Durant. Nope. Don't get him. But they got Kevin Durant
Starting point is 00:08:17 because they realized we'll never be able to beat Cleveland again. Right. With LeBron at his apex, Calree is now an all star at his apex. Yeah. We'll never beat him again. We gotta With LeBron at his apex, Kyrie is now an all-star at his apex. Yeah. We'll never beat him again. We got to get a neutralizer. We've got to get somebody that can go head-to-head with LeBron James. And at that point in time, there's only one man that can go head-to-head with it and matching bucket for bucket. And that was Kevin Durant. No. Because when you look at it, LeBron and
Starting point is 00:08:42 KD, that's a push. Steph and Ky, Steph and Kyrie, that's a push. Right. But the difference was what Clay gave you. Kevin Love wasn't consistent enough. And when they went, and when LeBron went to the bench, when they brought in Livingston and they brought in those shock troops in the second unit. in the second unit. So I don't know. I don't know if Kevin Durant wants to go back to OKC.
Starting point is 00:09:12 Probably not. He left for a reason. That's what I don't know. I don't think so either. Do Sam Presti want him back? Because you know, you heard the rumors, Joe. Sam Presti value Russ more than he valued KD. Oh, look, KD, if KD's going somewhere else again,
Starting point is 00:09:31 after leaving the teams he's left, Brooklyn, Phoenix, OKC, obviously played with the Warriors and got rings, wouldn't he want to go somewhere where he had the chance to get another ring and not just be playing basketball or going to another team just to... just to be there because he want to go somewhere where we have the chance to get another ring and not just be playing basketball or going to another team just to be there because I want to be happy? I want to go to where I can win
Starting point is 00:09:52 and what team gives him the best chance to win? Back home in OKC. I said the heat. I mean, even if people drag on to the heat, there's nothing of value that we can... This ain't the Wizard of Oz. There's no place like home. There's no place like home. This ain't it. Hey, I like him in Detroit. With Cade Cunningham. We just said, I'm sure he wants to win a championship. What? Hey, hold up though. I like him in Texas and he'll it mavericks or he's
Starting point is 00:10:30 Championship that ain't it. Yeah. Yeah it is. Oh, yeah. Here we can't read it. Yeah, they'll be very forming And you and hopefully you can keep if you can't keep both of them bigs you can at least keep one But here's the thing though, uh Joe What draft capital do you have to give up that I guess that I guess that 28 first round pick that you got from? That you got from the Lakers They're gonna have to piece something again, I think they're gonna have to do some You guys to get my five or six teams involved. You're gonna have to do some of the girl after they don't have to do some You guys to get my five or six teams involved you got to do something you got to make it work Yeah, and guess what Joe? I ain't in the business to try to help you win a championship. No, I got nothing. I want to do
Starting point is 00:11:18 Why not just go back to go to state He ran a course already, man. He did. But Joe, you and I agree. You see, Ocho hadn't brought it brought in yet. Dropping Kevin Durant in doesn't automatically mean championship because we've seen him dropped in a couple of places other than golden state, but golden state had won 73, 73 games the year before Kevin Durant got there. They had an MVP, a unanimous MVP,
Starting point is 00:11:47 the only guy that's ever won it unanimously. So it was a perfect fit. But let's be fair, the other places that he's been, he didn't make them better. He didn't make them better. Outside when he was in Brooklyn and his foot was on the line when they played against the Bucks, they, yeah, I thought they had a pretty good chance, but I think Kyrie got hurt. James Harden was already hurt and then Kyrie got hurt like game two. But they had a 2-0 lead now.
Starting point is 00:12:22 Yeah. Yeah. And game seven was on your court, but your had a two-o lead now. Yeah Yeah, and game seven was on your court or your home court Yeah injuries a part of the game man. It happens Hey, if Kyrie and Kevin love don't get hurt. We might be having a different discussion about Steph Curry and LeBron Yeah, so what their first one the first yes, yeah, I mean Kyrie got hurt and not first one. Yes. Steph Curry, I mean, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh,
Starting point is 00:12:46 uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, It make the most sense if he does go somewhere else again again another move I'm thinking rain I'm thinking rain Thank you. Okay. See what I'm saying is okay. See you're a little worried about back to the words even though he's already done it
Starting point is 00:13:16 You you wanna you on the back end you're not young no more So cement your legacy even some more go back to okay Go back to OKC. Whatever riff or any issues you might have with... Is it Christie? That's his name? Christie? Pressley. Pressley, yeah. Whatever. If there's any issues, mend that.
Starting point is 00:13:35 Man, we talking basketball. If we get personal issues, we'll go back to the Warriors. I just think OKC gonna do well this postseason and They can end up winning it. They're the youngest team in the league already, Ocho. So they end up winning that. Even if they got to the finals, I couldn't see them doing it. Because you're gonna have to give you have to give some of that youth up you got over there. Yeah, but if you give up the youth you make enough for it in production that KD going
Starting point is 00:14:08 to bring. I don't think they wouldn't do that. That's all I'm saying. Yeah, I don't know. I don't think they wouldn't do that. Jay, like my grandma used to say, I raised my hand. I think the thing is for me, Joe, Kevin and Rand went to go to state. He got the rings.
Starting point is 00:14:28 Now he gets to play free. Yeah. Yeah. That's why I went to go to state because we're going to have the same conversation. Hey, not going to go to stay. He was going to have the same conversation that we have about Carballon, but we have by Charles Barkley, but we have by other great players who's the greatest player never to win a ring, right?
Starting point is 00:14:44 He got the ring. Now to win a ring. Right. He got the ring. Now he can play free. Yeah. And he ain't cold. Hey, I'll go with Joe. He ain't cold till neither. You know, he, he, he, he led the way, man.
Starting point is 00:14:56 He was impressive. You know, in those two runs he had with a Golden State, you know, 35 in that first series, man, he was a mismatch problem. He was a nightmare. He was a nightmare. Yeah. So that's the thing. Look, everybody, everybody criticism.
Starting point is 00:15:12 People didn't criticize him because he was a free agent. They didn't criticize him for that. They was like, bro, how you joined the team that you had down three, one, and you go link up with them. You had them down three one. I believe, look, and people like, but Golden State needed KD as much as KD needed them. KD realized, see, and now he's like, well, he could have went anywhere and won the championship.
Starting point is 00:15:40 No, he couldn't. He needed to go there. Cause he goes over, they're not beating the Cavs. Braun is at his apex. Yeah. That Braun controlled the entire game. Yeah. Chyrie giving you 26, 27.
Starting point is 00:15:57 Kevin Love's gonna give you the rebounds. Tristan Thompson give you the rebounds. And you got JR, you got guys that can make timely threes. They needed each other. Nobody needed anybody more than anybody else. Thompson give you rebounds and you got JR. You got guys that can make timely threes. They needed each other. Nobody needed anybody more than anybody else. Golden State needed KD. KD needed Golden State. That's why they got on a plane and went to the Hamptons.
Starting point is 00:16:19 That's why Kevin Durant, Rich Klammer told him where he was. Yeah, bro, I'm up in the Hamptons. I'm in Sag Harbor. Come on up here, Harley, your boy. See what y'all talking about. They loaded up that contingent. Bob Meyer, Steve Kerr, Draymond, Steph, and Clay. Yup.
Starting point is 00:16:39 A match made in heaven. Because now, KD's playing with the greatest shooter ever and you know Clay is just as good so you know that's a nightmare because Katie's so great in isolation he can shoot he can play off those guys and they create so much attention yeah then the game was so stress-free for him he could just freelance yeah I think I'm gonna get you out about 40 tonight. I'm gonna get you out about 35 tonight. I'm just chilling.
Starting point is 00:17:08 Yep, yep. And that's how. Think about the attention that Steph draws. Yeah. Now this was five, six years ago. And think about it, the attention. And you got Clay, who's arguably one of the two or three best catch and shoot three-point shooters in the history of the game
Starting point is 00:17:26 Yeah, so you got perpetual motion, which is stiff You got a great spot-up shooter, which is clay and you got a guys as efficient as there ever in anybody And Kevin Durant shooting the ball a three level score three point mid-range you can finish at the rim 88 90 percent free or% free throw shooter. Yeah. Really? Yeah. Too easy.
Starting point is 00:17:50 Too easy. And people are like, well, it ain't even fun no more. You got those two guys together. But hey, and he got tired of hearing it. I mean, I know he's going gonna say that's not the case, but as I said this, Joe, I said that this was New Edition when Johnny Gill joined. New Edition fans was never gonna accept Johnny
Starting point is 00:18:18 because he didn't grow up in Roxbury, Boston. Right, right. He wasn't a part of the original group. He wasn't the Candy Rain, I mean Candy Girl. He wasn't that part of the original group. He wasn't the candy rain. Can't I mean candy girl? He wasn't that. That's not him. Candy girl. That's not him.
Starting point is 00:18:30 He wasn't, he wasn't Ralph and Bobby and Ricky. Mike. No, that ain't him. And Johnny could I say, and, and, hey, don't get me wrong. All of them can think about it. All of them went solo. Bobby did his thing. Woo.
Starting point is 00:18:42 Had that at Ralph Transman. Sensitivity. You had the other guys. Bell built the boat. Johnny gave woo woo woo. But Johnny, man, but Johnny. Bad ain't no but Johnny, no. Bad better with Johnny.
Starting point is 00:18:58 No! So he was never gonna be accepted. It was always gonna be Clay. It's the same thing with LeBron. LeBron can win five titles. LeBron is never gonna be bigger than Kobe. Never gonna be bigger than Magic. Never gonna be bigger than Shaq.
Starting point is 00:19:15 It's just not! And even though Shaq didn't originate there. But those other two? Yeah. Magic and Kobe? I don't care who come you're not gonna be bigger than them beloved it's just like you in Cincinnati somebody else come in and they might put up great numbers mm-hmm nah but guess Oh Joe. Oh, we drafted. Oh Joe. We drafted chase. Mm-hmm
Starting point is 00:19:52 It is what it is. Yeah, but hopefully Katie gets somewhere Cuz he's still giving you 26 or 9 So if you put it in where he ain't gotta do, you know the dirty work, you know No, that ain't him defending tough you know, the dirty work, you know, no, that, that ain't him. Defending tough guy, let him freelance, man. Come on. The 40s and free agents podcast with Daniel Jeremiah and Greg Rosenthal has prepared you for the 2025 NFL draft. I just felt like the biggest thing was to earn the trust of the players and let the players know that we were here to try to help them take the next step, not tear anything down.
Starting point is 00:22:17 Today, the Warriors dynasty remains alive, in large part because of a scrawny 6'2 Hooper who everyone seems to love. Historymakers like the Sukkar family who became the first Peruvians to win a Grammy. It was a very special moment for us. It's been 15 years for me in this career.
Starting point is 00:23:43 Finally, things are starting to shift into a different level. Listen to Asta Wajo on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Starting point is 00:24:18 He's too great of a piece man. You know, I was at the game the other night, Ocho. Yeah. We should have beat you, but whatever. We should have. I just say, this is the perfect time for you and I'm, um, I know we have a lot of heat fans that are watching and you and I'm saying that. Atlanta Hawks were going to beat us. So. So I mean you can take it upon yourself
Starting point is 00:24:47 You know to an issue an apology not just to me but to the rest of Heat Nation out there Because you did say we was gonna lose and it didn't happen. Did we make a bet? Did we bet? Nah nah, we ain't but you forgot you ain't you thought we bet it. Yeah Yeah, I can assure we bet. I thought we bet something. I'm not sure. Nah, I see how you owe Uncle 5200. I'm like, I ain't gonna get in that mess. I'm gonna stay out your way. Okay. Yeah, don't pay it. Yeah, I'm getting in that mess. Yeah, I see what's going on. Yeah.

I just got on What truck? I? Mean, I know we got it. Hey, um, I know anybody back there got a picture the truck phone so we can see it They go right down You see it see what it it says? That's yours? Yeah, you see what it say in the window? What?
Starting point is 00:25:48 What? What? What? Out of the clip? What? Out of the little? I'm going to tear your ass up. That's what's in the window.
Starting point is 00:25:53 Nah, you know, you know, when you get the truck, they get to see it right there. See what I say? Congratulations. What'd it say? Congratulations, Chad Johnson. That's me. That's me.
Starting point is 00:26:06 You happy for me? Man y'all see how this man doing? Nah, but listen. This man just buying stuff. He say 2025 he living for himself. He say he take care of Chad. Yo, I ain't done nothing nice for myself in years man. No, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, Your kids- They like stuff too. Yeah, your kids grown though. They good. My daughter's only three. Oh Lord have mercy. This man, Joe.
Starting point is 00:27:52 I think, you good? Listen, Joe, I done told him many of times, download Apple Pay, it's on your phone. Cash app, Venmo, PayPal, any of these apps that make the transaction easy. He's refusing to do that. He's refusing to do so. I don't understand. Listen, he just got a dog, right?
Starting point is 00:28:17 He sent the lady a wire in advance. So he sent a wire which lets me know that you can do a transaction. So I have the same way you send that wire. I could wire you a 5200 but he don't want that. He want cash. I don't carry cash. Hey, look at my dog. What up Titus?
Starting point is 00:28:34 How much you weigh man? 173. God damn. Okay. How much you weigh man? 173. Damn. Thanks. Hey you 173 for real? Yeah. Man he. Oh. Ocho first of all. Shelly sent Shelly sent the wire. I don't have no wire. I don't know how to do that.
Starting point is 00:29:08 I don't do that. I don't. What Shelly information? I'll send it to Shelly. No, this is a transaction between you and I. You see, Joe? You see how you being difficult? You see what I mean?
Starting point is 00:29:20 This is why we are where we are. The last time, let me tell you why I stopped sending wires. I bought some tires and I don't know if I made a mistake or the bank made a mistake. But it was supposed to be $2,525,000 went out. So I don't know if I made a mistake or they made a mistake. Seriously? Yes. They gave back to us. So, I don't know if I made the mistake or they made the mistake. Huh? Serious?
Starting point is 00:29:47 Yes. They gave me back the right. You got your money back, right? Yeah. Okay. But I say I was done. I was done after that. I haven't said out another wise sense.
Starting point is 00:29:55 Yeah. I ain't got no apps. I ain't got nothing. Yeah. So. Okay. I got you. I got you.
Starting point is 00:30:03 I got you. Baltimore show. I want everybody in Baltimore to watch me. Made us two months away! You been, bro, you been, hold on, you been on me since February, March, April, May, so I gotta wait five months? You. I gotta pay child support.
Starting point is 00:30:28 What I gotta do I'm gonna tell you like uh My girl asked them on the babysit the kids one time. Yes sir. Talk to me. You know she told her? Um, take a look. Because we wanted to go out.
Starting point is 00:30:51 She said, you F for that one. You watch him. You F for those kids. I ain't finna worry about your child support payment. I'm just playing. I ain't no child support. But I'm gonna give you your money though. I got you.
Starting point is 00:31:04 You keep saying you gonna give me my money, but Chad I ain't on child support but I'm gonna give you money though. I got you. You keep saying you gonna give me my money but Chad here ain't giving me my money. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Don't forget in that Lakers in five I got you. I got you. Alright guys I don't know if you guys have seen this video. There's a viral video that surfaced today, Demar DeRozan in a sushi restaurant. Damar was sitting at a table when a random person shoved a phone in his face with a flashlight on. The prankster uploaded the video and later showed himself in the ambulance.
Starting point is 00:31:34 What? What? I don't know if you've seen it. Damar DeRozan was sitting at a table with his family, looked like it was his family and some friends. The guy came up, put the phone in his place, talking about Demar, they're trying to throw me out of the restaurant.
Starting point is 00:31:50 Demar was like, bro, don't walk up on me. And people like, well, he was just, you don't, I don't know that. Right. You got the luxury of hindsight, but somebody just walking up on you and putting a phone in your face broke stop playing People y'all play too much I don't know why I've never seen grown people play so much with people that you don't know
Starting point is 00:32:14 At a mall and I'm watching these people in these Costco about Costco, but like loads of Home Depot and they throwing pillows on stuff and it do is man. Will y'all stop playing Haunted greens when the grown people start playing so much. Oh, that's what Joe you'll be And you and all your probably close to the same age, but I don't remember Great day playing when I was coming up Hey, hey, these these young cats are here. They creating cut to it. Oh, yeah They are here creating cut to it and and anything that's gonna go viral. Somebody put the uh-uhs on him.
Starting point is 00:32:48 Somebody put the uh. You say he was in the ambulance? That's what he, yeah, he tried to get, but see, now see, they go, oh, man, no, bro. You come up in that man's face with his family, and you shove the phone in his face. Because don't say you didn't know who he was, because you didn't do, you did that because you knew who it was. Now, if you go to his page,
Starting point is 00:33:12 it's like he's a comedian, like he's a prankster. He doing stuff like that. But with somebody, hey, somebody gonna get laid down, and then it'll be like, well, he was just playing. I keep telling people, everybody don't play how you play. Right. You know what he's trying to do huh? You know he's trying to get a quick buck. You know he's trying to get a quick buck because DeMar didn't touch him. DeMar didn't touch him
Starting point is 00:33:34 hard enough to do anything that bad where you got to be inside the ambulance. You know right. I feel threatened. I feel threatened. And that's his defense. The mom, I felt threatened. Yeah. It should work. It should work. Hey, stupid game. When you play a stupid game, you win stupid prizes.
Starting point is 00:33:52 Yes, sir. But y'all got fans. He's not a fan. He's not a fan. So let me take that back. Fans, y'all got to understand at the end of the day, see, y'all quick to say money don't make you better, but y'all do things and then think money should. No, I'm a human being.
Starting point is 00:34:14 You would get upset. Stop saying it. If I made this, if I made that, no, you wouldn't. It's easy to say what you would do because you're not in that situation. Everybody deserves a level of respect. Stop running up on people doing this stuff. I ain't talking about, fans, y'all gotta understand. They don't know you like that.
Starting point is 00:34:36 Y'all grabbing people by the shoulder. Hey, hey, bro, stop that. You know what, it's funny, and if athletes don't know you you at least approach him the right way in a respectful manner Coach him as if they don't know you you try to walk up on somebody just cause you recognize them They don't know you yeah, right. Yeah, so it's a way to do things It's a way to do things, you know If it was if it was me if you didn't know me and I saw you on and I saw you out You know, I understand it. Listen, I'm mr. Shaw, I would probably never see you again, you know, and I just want to take
Starting point is 00:35:08 this opportunity to say I'm a fan of yours. If you take a picture, if you sign, if not, I understand because it's your personal time and I don't want to invade your space. But if you would do me the graces of just give me a signature and give me a picture and I get out your way. If you say no, I I'm still gonna be a fan Yes Oh Joe I'm in the airport me and Jordan walking do do cup do come put his arm around me. Tell me let's get a selfie
Starting point is 00:35:42 What you hear me Oh, you gotta take a picture with me. I said no, I don't gotta do anything. But if you ask nicely in a respectful manner, I'll take a picture with you. Stop this. I got to oh you ain't And please please I'll take a picture if I'm in a if I'm not in a hurry I'm not running late. I'm gonna take a picture But I'm not gonna sit there while you call somebody and we get on the phone. Guess who look who it is Look at it, I got a pop, boom. That's the worst, that's the worst, that's the worst. You know, you already didn't wanna stop, but now you finna sit here and make a whole phone call
Starting point is 00:36:34 and you want me to sit here and talk to somebody who I have. No, I didn't do this. I don't even know you. I know them even less than I know you. I miss you standing here. You gonna do it yourself? Yeah, my favorite, can you make a video from a family member? They are a fan of yours. So they knew, like, hey, guess what I'm going to the airport. I know I'm gonna see Ocho today.
Starting point is 00:36:56 So I'm gonna have it when I see it. I'm gonna have to make a video telling you to give you a shout out, happy birthday. I'm a little bit more lenient, you know, Joe, because I'm very sociable, you know, I go places, I don't go out often, but when I go places, I'd be ready. Well, you come up to me and I'm sure some people, there might be people in the chat that have seen me in public somewhere. Well, I sit there and hug you and act like I know you 30 years. Yeah. I hold a conversation.
Starting point is 00:37:22 I'm a little different. I know you don't play that. I don't play that. I don't play that. Oh Joe, I be sitting at the table, about to eat. I fist bump you. Dude, hey bro, I wanna shake your hand. No bro, I'm about to eat.
Starting point is 00:37:40 I'm about to eat. I don't mind taking, like I said, if I'm not in a hurry. Right. Man, yesterday I was at the wrong gate. I was at gate 20. My gate is at 135. I'm an international.
Starting point is 00:37:56 Right. I was like, I come at the later, can you get a card? Oh Lord have mercy. Ain't no card, old Joe. You had to book it? I gotta book it. Now, rest your soul, I'm sweating like Michael Jackson before the verdict is read. I'm sweating, you know what I'm saying? Pouring off me. I got my bag, old Joe. Man, you know, my heel's bad, my knee bad.
Starting point is 00:38:19 I got the walk of mouth. They tell me it's the final call The lady is that you mr. Is that you mr. Sharp? Yeah, that's me. You better hurry buddy close the door Yeah, well you would have been well you would have been way from back down there Hey, can we get a picture together? I say bro you think about the mr. Plank to take a picture with you. I Say you but hey Hey, I can only imagine. I said, Lord have mercy.
Starting point is 00:38:50 Listen, look, it's a once in a lifetime thing. They probably ain't gonna never run into you again. That's how they feel. I gotta get him. Joe, I had already missed one flight. I had already missed the flight. Okay, okay. Dealing with LA traffic. It's supposed to be on the 330.
Starting point is 00:39:06 I get there at 4.30. Oh man. So I would miss that flight. Okay, I'm sitting down there like, you know, I've been to Delta Club, you know, I'm like eating some chicken. I'm eating some adobe chicken. You know, they got some cornbread.
Starting point is 00:39:21 I eat up there. I look up like, damn, I better go. So I hop out, I'm like, oh, I ain't number right around the corner. This ain't nothing to me. Right. Man, I get to gate 20, I'm gate late in my phone. I think, she's like, sir, what flight are you trying to go?
Starting point is 00:39:40 I said, I'm going to Vegas. She say, honey, this going to Salt Lake City. I said, oh, going to Vegas. She say, honey, this going to Salt Lake City. I said, oh Lord, Salt Lake City. I said, ma'am, if you don't mind me asking, where the flight going to Las Vegas? She got a little thing, she like always say 135. I said, how far is that? She say, son, it's in the international.
Starting point is 00:40:01 I said, well, how far is that? Oh yeah, yeah, it was stressful for you when I already Mind you Did the interview had an interview yesterday with uh, It I can't tell you what is great. We have great time. She'll talk. I will tell you that she can talk So now I spoke get to the airport a certain time traffic Whoa now I'm already late. We got night cap now if I don't get this flight I'm gonna took the show. I'm gonna took the show. I can got you. Yeah back back back to the hotel. I gotta go
Starting point is 00:40:44 Jordan already Jordan ass he already shelly shelly blow my phone up George on the flight. He say he hadn't seen you Well, I hadn't seen him either Well, he should have called me they came and got me hey Hey, that's why if you ever fly private You're really really appreciate it because you know what it's like going through the airport. You know how stressful it is Yes, man. I ain't got private money. I got public money. That's why I fly public airlines, right? Don't you be flying private I Every blue moon won't you like gotta have something real important to do. Okay.
Starting point is 00:41:26 What that run you? I don't mean to be in your pocket. I'm not trying to count you man. I'm just asking what that run you. It's all about how far you going. Yeah. Yeah, depending on where you're going. And what type of jet you getting on. What you own? Okay. You want a Citation? You a Bombardier? You want a G6? G5? 4? What you own? What's the lower G you go to? One? I mean, you probably, I mean, it probably start about what I'll probably say around five, five an hour and probably go up to 20 an hour.
Starting point is 00:41:55 Twenty who? 20K. And you get expensive. Oh, Joe. I'm good. I'll leave that to the CEOs. What do you gotta tell me nothing. Like I say, hey, it's got to be very very very very very very And in fact, if you whatever you spinning right the flat private and whatever it is that's important if
Starting point is 00:42:22 If the reason for going where you got to go of importance is about making that money back then I could see it I could see it I could understand. But I hate, Ocho, boy I hate cutting that shit cuz you got to wire that money and you wire 80,000. 80 who? And even if you wire 80,000 even if you make 150 or 200 you be thinking like. I could have flown Delta that'd be 2000 That's how I be ready. Oh, dude. Hey, shelly be shelly as you want to block. No, I don't not want to fly private Me I'm to listen we I can get you I need you from the East Coast West Coastal spirit, you know for $180 We talk about come on,000. Come on, man. I mean, it's undercut.
Starting point is 00:43:06 East Coast or West Coast, 180 bucks? Yeah, Joe, come on over here to Spirit with me, nack. Exit row, seat 13A, they'll take care. I got two million miles on Delta. I'm good, I like Delta. All right, I mean. I'm right on Delta. I got it.
Starting point is 00:43:22 Yay. Them peach, they nice, because you know, Joe, you get to leave when you want to leave. Hey, would you like food? They have whatever you want. You want Popeyes, whatever the case you want. They have a nice prepared meal. You want seafood.
Starting point is 00:43:36 I can do everything you name it right now. I can show up to the airport early with everything you name it in hand and get on my Spirit Flight. Everything. I ain't got it. I swear I ain't got it like that. I just can't see that money going like that.
Starting point is 00:43:52 And? It's hard to see it. It's hard to see it leading to Calorie and the Hump. You what? What? And then you think about it, you be sick like, ooh, damn. Think about what you could have done with it.
Starting point is 00:44:05 There you go. There you go. There you go. There you go. And so I was like, nah, I'm good. Hey, I just, hey, I have to take this old bad knee and walk through the airport, Ocho. Pretty soon your boy gonna have to be on that cart.
Starting point is 00:44:18 So hey, Chad, when y'all see your boy on the cart, don't tell me, hey man, I saw Unk on the cart. Your damn show did, that was me. Because I'm about to be sittin' my ass up on the car. Well you know what's funny, you got a bad knee, you got bad hips, you can get the wheelchair, you ain't even gotta stand in line. Nah, I ain't gonna do the wheelchair now.
Starting point is 00:44:39 Yeah, say that. Man, I'm gonna tell y'all a story, man. I went to pick up my mom from the airport. My mom didn't tell me she had broke a foot. So I'm driving around the airport. I say, mama, where are you? She said, I'm right here. I done drove around the airport about five times.
Starting point is 00:44:59 My mama sitting her ass in a wheelchair. She said, why you tell me you broke? So how was I supposed to know? I wasn't looking for somebody in a wheelchair. He said, why'd you tell me you broke out? So how was I supposed to know? I wasn't looking for somebody in a wheelchair, mama. My mama's sitting in the wheelchair, out on the drone around the airport about five times. And Joe, you know how it is driving around in Atlanta airport.
Starting point is 00:45:16 That thing crazy. Oh yeah. Man, this is a- Actually, that was the last time I picked up somebody from the airport. I'm gonna send a call for you. Yeah, it's rough last time I picked up somebody from the airport. I'm gonna send a call for you. Yeah, it's rough around here, boy. Going to the airport.
Starting point is 00:45:29 This the biggest airport in probably the country. Yeah! Yeah. I mean, first of all, I'm mad already. First of all, I gotta go pick somebody up at the airport. What I'm really mad about is the hour and a half traffic that I had to get through just to get my ass to the airport and the hour and a half back to get from the airport.
Starting point is 00:45:47 Right, yeah. So you come see me, I'll see you when you get to your destination. That's what I see. I'm not coming to pick you up. I'm just going to tell you now. My kids, my kids know, hey, when they come see me in LA, car service pick them up. When they come see me in, I got you. That is, cause I'm moody, I'm irritable.
Starting point is 00:46:12 No, they're tripping, they're stuck in LA. And then Ash walk like she in a parade. Okay. Hey, you know what we do, what we do, Jordan, we leave, hey, don't you? But this joke right here, Jordan, Hey, you know what we do what we do enjoy we leave add dog But this joke right here Jordan Oh Joe Joe if you ever fly with Jordan
Starting point is 00:46:35 Just go ahead and tell him you gonna meet him at the hotel This Joe will help everybody get their bag off. I look back down. He taking back my additional bag mail. I'm like Jordan. Hey, I said, hey, okay. Don't be in that truck. Don't be in the truck when I get here. You know, you gotta catch a cab, huh? Uber. I reimburse it. You wanna work for the airline and take everybody baggage up?
Starting point is 00:47:14 I got you. Don't worry about it. Okay, this is a subject, Ocho, that's near and dear to your heart. To mine? Tracy Ellis Ross says she only dates younger men because of the toxic masculinity in men her age. A lot of men my age are steeped in toxic masculinity and have been raised in a culture
Starting point is 00:47:37 where there are the particular way that relationships look. Anything that started the smell of that with me, I did enough or where I was controlled and felt like I was a possession or a prize, I just have no interest in it and I will not do it again. So she doesn't want to feel like a possession or a prize but you're gonna date younger men that's a- So she can feel like a possession or a prize? Prize! I mean it would be the same thing but I don't understand what I will say is as an older woman like Miss Ross, I think she also has more control dealing with the younger fellas anyway. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:13 He has more control. But hold on. But what they say about when Unks say he want to date younger men, they kill me. What they say, what the women, what? Yeah, what I say, I want to take younger women, what I see. So when I want to date, we don't want to date with you, man. I want to date younger women. What they say, oh, Joe, right. Oh, I'm a creep. Oh, I'm I'm. What what they what they call that, what they call it when a man like
Starting point is 00:48:41 I'm grooming, I'm grooming. That's the term they use when they grooming. When she talk about dating younger men, Joe, what they say? Go ahead, girl. That's what I'm talking about. Yeah, yeah. I mean, it's different.
Starting point is 00:48:53 Why is it different? I don't know. They just, they see it different. They view it differently. I mean, I don't know. You know, I call this called girl math. And girl math is not for us as men to understand But listen, I think it happens all the time. Although older men love dating younger women
Starting point is 00:49:11 All the women love dating younger men. It's been that it's been like that for a very long time Listen to each their own. I don't yeah, I think when it comes to to women Dating younger men they're able to control them a little bit more They were to get them a little bit more. They able to get them to do what they wanna do, as opposed to men their age, where there's not much they can get away with because men their age really don't play the games
Starting point is 00:49:34 that they wanna play. You're able to manipulate the younger men all the time. But here's the thing though, Joe, what people don't understand. She's Tracy Ellis Ross and she's 52. She's Tracy Ellis Ross, and she's 52. She's a celebrity. She's an entertainer. She has money.
Starting point is 00:49:51 Now, all y'all that's out there in y'all 50s and 60s or 40s and think y'all gonna get you a 20 year old, 25, 30 year old, come on now. You saying she got the means to do that? Yeah, she can play, listen, when you got money like that, she can play the game the way she want to. Right. But all of my thing, my thing is, if I said, I'll tell you, we've had this conversation,
Starting point is 00:50:13 Joe, you've never been a part of this, but don't join us. We've had this conversation. I'll say, you know, hey, 30 year old, 35, let me up to 40. Man, you need to get you somebody your age. Why? So you don't want nothing over the bankroll. Let me up the phone. Man, you need to get you somebody your age Why? So you don't know over the bankroll? Hey, so what we gonna do get on that get on that little bus together so they can take us to the doctor's appointment
Starting point is 00:50:35 Now I want somebody to drive me to my apartment Let me get out of the front go park the car and come in there and join me That's what I'm looking for. Hey, hey, you say a woman your age, she can't keep up, can she, y'all? Huh? A woman your age can't keep up with you? She can keep up, I ain't got,
Starting point is 00:50:55 I got two of the possible, Joe. I got a spade, I got spade wood. Two of the possible. And it might be cutting it. I got a bunch of A's, I got the A's, but I got a bunch of diamonds in my hand. So they might be cutting off the rip. I'm telling you that ain't, that it. I got a bunch a I got the ace but I got a bunch of diamonds in my head So they might be cutting out the real I'm telling you that ain't that's all I got That's all I got for you
Starting point is 00:51:15 Ain't no bit no guy I Feel a lot to him. Oh girl. I'll kill I'll tear you up all night long. No, I'm not I'm gonna sleep you up all night long. No, I'm not. I'm gonna be sleeping all night long. Hey, but you know what? But Ms. Ross can get away with that. Obviously other women can get away with it as well, but Ms. Ross is in a position of power. Not many women are in a position like she is
Starting point is 00:51:39 where she can pick who she wants to deal with. Regardless of- I ain't got no problem with it though, Ocho. I like- You and I, we just having a conversation. I ain't got no problem with it though, Ocho. I'm just, you and I, we just having a conversation. I ain't got no problem with it. I don't got no problem with whoever you date. I don't care how old they are. If they're legal, if they 19 and you 40,
Starting point is 00:51:55 that is a legal consenting age. I ain't got nothing to do with that. I don't care what people do in their homes, but I'm just saying the hypocrisy of older women dating younger men versus older men dating younger women. Right and the first thing when it comes to men dating younger women the first thing you gonna say y'all ain't got nothing in common. Y'all ain't got nothing in common. What do y'all have in common for Utah?
Starting point is 00:52:19 What they got in common? I don't know. I don't know. That's a good thing. That's a good question. But again, listen, when you're in a position like Miss Ross, you can do that. You get to pick and choose who you want. You don't have to deal with it. You do. Most of the time, and women are in situations where they actually need a man. They need a man. She's in the position, Well, I don't need you. I actually want you. Yes. Everybody needs a man. I think after you get to a certain age, it's like, okay, what am I willing to deal with?
Starting point is 00:52:56 Like you say, she don't want to deal with a man that has a certain, you know, hey, if you 55, 50, 55, 60, you grew up in an era, it was a certain way, Joe. You know, your mom and dad things worked a certain way. Grandpa, grandma, it worked a certain way. Now it's gotten a little, and so now these men, now women, now they're like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. No, ain't no staying at home cooking. Ain't no staying, hey, if I don't go out, you can't go out.
Starting point is 00:53:24 Women say, you wanna go? Or I Hey, if I don't go out, you can't go out. Women say, you want to go? Or I'm going with my... I don't remember a time. Well, when my grandmother, when my grandfather didn't go, my grandmother wasn't going. Yeah, my grandmother wasn't going, my grandfather wasn't going. Be it church, fishing, the grocery store, it didn't matter. Now women like, oh, I'll go with my girls. Now, women like, oh, I'll go with my girls. I don't care. You look, I don't want to go. I don't care. I ain't got no problem with that.

And the TV, anytime at the TV timeout, I always run, I always run to the heater, warm up a little bit. And I watch the man with the orange gloves. When I see him do like that, I just run back. I run back out to the field. No, I ain't like that. Woo. No.

All right, we're gonna get you out here on this one It's time for our final segment of the evening. It's time for Q and Hey Kemper know what jr. I said, uh, I'm rolling with the Lakers until the wheels fall off. Lakers in five. Well, we all, we, hey, one of them came off Kemper.
Starting point is 01:05:29 Let's just hope the other one, the other one don't come off. The dad said, oh, I told you the wolves are not long and they're bench is way better. And I knew if Naz read that the key to the series, I got this series going six or seven, but game two is important for the Lakers. Absolutely is.
Starting point is 01:05:44 It's an absolute must. It's an absolute must. It's an absolute must. Absolute. Uh, Naz read did what he was supposed to do. He won sixth man of the year last year for this very reason for the performance that he gave the wolves tonight. Oreo. Who said JJ Reddick, JJ fish, JJ from Good Times, Ant Man in 5.
Starting point is 01:06:05 Alright, Oreo, y'all bragging, see? Okay, okay, darp. What's up, Unken Ocho? If the Timberwolves take game two, will it be time for the Lakers to panic? Mm-hmm, of course. Yeah. Yeah, because if Minnesota go up too old, they looking to bring their broom out. They ain't looking to come back.
Starting point is 01:06:27 Exactly. Red hood say Lakers at five, huh? Be careful what you might say. Might need a broom. I'm smelling sweet. Red, it ain't gonna happen. RJ Copan, salt shakers, shaker bakers, LBJ is a goat faker. Lakers lose at five.
Starting point is 01:06:50 RJ. Okay, see y'all do it all that time. I knew this was gonna happen. I knew it was gonna happen at some point. Lakers lose, y'all gonna be talking to crazy. But okay, make sure y'all show up Monday night now. J-Dub from Akron. Oh, why Ocho always trying to bet your guess? Knowing he ain't paid you or me.
Starting point is 01:07:07 When you run up and get your five bands, snatch that jersey for me. Yeah, Ocho, you know, hey J-Dub, you didn't get that man a jersey, Ocho. Who? J-Dub. Oh, J-Dub. I thought you were supposed to send an A. to send ask the information so I can say the Jersey
Starting point is 01:07:27 She doesn't send it to it jaydub we don't sit that we relayed that information to the proper channels Ocho has it. Well, I'm gonna put that on us. Okay. Okay. Okay matter of fact We might have do it because the proper channels ain't really the proper channels no more Okay, dr. Frank L Bellamy said fam, overall which team made the biggest statement tonight and who should be worried most after game one? Lakers. They're the only team that lost on their home court. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:53 Series doesn't start till the world team wins. And T-Woods got off to a great start. They've already won. So the biggest statement or the greatest impression made was made by the T was in the final game tonight when even close Big I wasn't on the job. What do you do with the Lakers? What does the Lakers got to do to win game to to avoid a 2-0 play with some damn intensity?
Starting point is 01:08:20 True. Yeah, more of a sense of urgency True. Yeah. Probably more of a sense of urgency. Yeah, man, they energy just wasn't there. Like I said, I just felt the Timberwolves were very desperate. They played desperate and they played like a team who came in there to get a win. They came with a purpose. Absolutely.
Starting point is 01:08:39 Absolutely. They didn't back down that one bit. They attacked them. They attacked the Lakers all night long man Like I said McDaniels and Reid gonna play like that Lakers ain't got a chance of beating the wolf Tim 17 boogie Luca Paducah bazooka five The one has procrastination condensation relaxation
Starting point is 01:09:03 Lakers about to be on vacation. Okay, Dwight. Y'all talking real reckless. Y'all talking real reckless. Kingsong 123. Not my best day as a sports fan. CM Punk lost, the Lakers lost, damn. CM Punk lost.
Starting point is 01:09:21 Damn. I ain't happy about that. More disappointed Lakers lost to see him. I'm sorry, guys. There's zero chance OKC would consider taking KD back. The ownership despises him. I don't know about that. I mean, I'm assuming that you live in OKC and you probably heard something, but I don't know.
Starting point is 01:09:41 I'm not so sure Kevin Durant. That's just us talking. There's nothing that's ever been said. Kevin Durant has never mentioned anything. I know he enjoyed his time while he was there, but he probably hadn't been back since he left. So probably not a great chance of him going back. Kevin Swibelhoffer, could you see Ant-Man teaming up with Wimby
Starting point is 01:10:04 later in their career? And would D-Rose be a top three all-time point guard if he didn't get injured? Ooh, man. That's a good one. What you think? This is your level of expertise, Joe. Yeah, D-Rose, man, I mean, he's the youngest MVP, right? Yes. He's the youngest MVP, right? Yes.
Starting point is 01:10:26 He was the youngest MVP ever. Uh, like I said, I've got a chance to play against him in playoff series. And, uh, he's, he was special, man. He was probably most athletic guard. Then we don't see the athletic part guard. Cause now you see Russ, you see Russ, you see see job all these athletic point guards. He was the first man Hey, that was a tough matchup Yeah, he definitely I think he definitely would have been you know at least top five
Starting point is 01:10:57 You know point guards able to play he just played with so much torque that He seemed as though his body just kind of gave out man, but he was special. He was special Gracie Gracie cute titles about to go collect his dad's money. He's bigger than no Joe. So it'll be easy Yeah, I'm a sin Titus down there with you to get my money on Joe I told him a pay in I'm a pay you after I finished the pool I told you I'm gonna pay you. I'm gonna pay you after I finish the pool. But old folk don't never had no patience. Patience is a virtue. It's in the Bible. I will let you finish doing what you need to do with my money and then once you... No, what I'm doing, what I'm spending ain't got nothing to do with your money.
Starting point is 01:11:41 Your 5200 is off to the side. Well go ahead and send it to me. I'm spending ain't got nothing to do with your money. Your 5,200 is off to the side. Well go ahead and send it to me. Ha ha ha ha. I'ma send it. I figured out a way. What about bringing it to me Green Bay? How about Green Bay?

No, because as long as I owe you, you'll never go broke. I'm broke right now. I need that.
