Starting point is 00:01:47 Michael Porter Jr. said Nicola Yokic is the greatest of all time. People will say Michael Jordan just to agree, but they haven't watched film. They'll just say it to agree with everyone else. For me, with my two eyes and from what I've seen, I'm going to say Nicola Yolk is the best player that I've ever seen from what I've seen today to day and I haven't seen anybody as dominant as Yoke. Well, that's saying that live.
Starting point is 00:02:10 But who said that joke? His ex-teamate. Yoke's ex-teamate. Michael Porter Jr. He played for the Brooklyn Nets. But see, that's what happens. Like you said, with his eyes. Like you said, he said with his eyes.
Starting point is 00:02:25 So he didn't see Karee. Yeah, out of sight, out of mind. What you ain't seen. Yeah. He didn't see Kareem. He ain't see Mosulam alone. He didn't see Larry Bird. He didn't see magic.
Starting point is 00:02:34 He didn't see Jordan. He didn't. He didn't see that. No. I can't blame him for saying what he's seen with his own two eyes. But that's what happens with you. Because you haven't seen it. You don't think it happens.
Starting point is 00:02:48 It's on film. It's on film. There's footage. Everybody, everybody. Everybody. I'm old enough to remember Kareem. I'm old enough to remember Karee. Like I said, go back and look at Kareem.
Starting point is 00:03:00 numbers when he first got to Milwaukee and when he first got to LA. Look at his numbers. He was giving you 33, 34 and 16, 17 for a season. He didn't come to the all-time leading score for no reason.
Starting point is 00:03:17 And the third leading rebounder for no reason. A six-time MVP for no reason. Sky-hooking you to death. He has the most unstoppable. everybody, look, we don't see everybody perfect.
Starting point is 00:03:33 They don't, uh, KD took a, uh, uh, uh, a dirt one-legged step back. You don't see how many people hit Jordan turn around from Kobe to LeBron to this one. Tell me the person you've seen consistently throw that sky hook. And I'm not talking about the end of the shot clock. That's a hard shot to replicate. Ain't nobody doing that sky hug, boy. Hey, that's the, that's really the only shot that he, and he wasn't throwing it from two feet. He thought it for 15, 18 feet.
Starting point is 00:03:59 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Cash. Yeah. You couldn't stop it. You couldn't stop it. You told.
Starting point is 00:04:12 Man, the game changed so much. It has. It has. It has. It's a different game now. And I'm not looking. I've been a Nicola Yolkich fan. Everybody can know.
Starting point is 00:04:26 Y'all know I've been a Yokish fan. I've been a Luca fan. Basically since they got to the lead. And it's going to be hard. It's going to be hard if you were to get another chance. or two for Yoke to say he's not a top 10 player. It just deals. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:41 Because he's going to have championships. He's already got three MVP. He's going to be top three for MVP for the next three, four years. Now he messed around and get another and he got four. He got a couple of championships. He got three. I wonder is it because, you know, big men, they kind of hard to market. You know, outside.
Starting point is 00:05:00 You got to get me the ball, Joe. Yeah. Big man never get no credit. We forget about Will, we forget about Mr. Russell, we forget about Corrine. The big man ain't going to never get no trouble. Nah. Somebody got to get in the ball. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:15 When you got him that ball, he was hell, wasn't it? Yeah, yeah. Or is it because the game doesn't look, you know, flamboyant enough when you're playing through your big? You know, versus the perimeter guys, they're going to rouse or dives you, cross you over, step you back. You know, that's why they get all the sales when it comes to apparel. and things of that sort. But you never see a big man really outside of shack who probably sold a lot of shoes outside of that.
Starting point is 00:05:42 You don't really see big men with shoe deals like that. No, because big, they don't, they're not fancy. They don't, I mean, look at Tim Duncan. They're calling the fundamentals. He ain't do nothing. They had the same expression on his face just buzzing everybody at. Whop, wob, wob, wop, wop, wop.
Starting point is 00:05:58 I mean, he ain't do nothing fancy. And he didn't have no finger roll, all they just glad. I'm like, man, damn. Sometimes I wish the backboard wasn't there. Damn, he's going up the backboard all the time making that shot. I'm telling you, man, he could,
Starting point is 00:06:13 damn, uncle, you bring my half flashbacks thinking about that man, stop me from getting the ring. I could have got me one. Damn, Tim Duncan had. But that's the way it is. Because when you think about it, we've got 24,000 rebounds. Y'all do realize that man averaged 24 rebounds,
Starting point is 00:06:33 for a career. No, no, no, no, no, no. Do y'all realize that? That man average 24 rebounds for you, are you correct? It don't even sound real. The man never had less, never had a season with less than 17 rebounds in a season.
Starting point is 00:06:49 That's crazy. He once had a season. He had 40, average 44 and 27. That was after the year you average 50 and 25. Because y'all say, y'all thought I was bulljiving. Just just so I'm not bulljiving. I'm going to put a 44 and 27 on you. Hey.
Starting point is 00:07:08 Wimby on that trajectory. I'm talking about your word, like, I'm saying I think he's going to be able to dominate Uncle Ocho. And when he really fill out to become who he's going to be, because he ain't but what, 23, 22? Yeah, something like that. Damn. Well, he got a long way to go, boy.
Starting point is 00:07:27 Boy, at about 25, 26. He's going to be here. If he keeps growing up. Yeah. He just gets a little strong in your little body. Yeah. And he figured out, you figure that part out? It's going to be a rap.
Starting point is 00:07:39 You think he's going to develop like Janus? Like get big like that? Nah. He ain't going to get big like that. Yonnie. Yonis was skinny like that too, now. Yeah, he was. He was.
Starting point is 00:07:55 Yeah, but that's a lot more to fill out. Yeah. Yeah. I don't see it with me. I think he's going to get a lot stronger, oh, Ocho. You know, he might get him. You might get him a little girth on there, but man. Just, just so, just so, uh, uh, uh,
Starting point is 00:08:13 just so people can't move him, you know, try to play through his body and move him off the spot. Yeah, but, uh, he, he was talking about the women developed the sky hook. Man, don't let that man develop no sky hook. How'd hear you, hell, you couldn't block Koreans. And he's seven to what the head you gonna do with a man, Sam, four, seven five,
Starting point is 00:08:31 throw the sky hook from nine feet high. No, but look, I get it. You look at Yolking and the stuff that he's doing. We've never seen a big man this skilled offensively that could score the basketball, could assist the basketball. There have been very few bigs that they ran the offense through. We've seen point forwards,
Starting point is 00:08:54 but they run the offense through him. Yeah. He's going to average another triple double this year. Yeah. I think it's the grace that he plays with Arkansas. How he makes the game look so easy. He's so simple. Like, you know, it don't even seem like he really out there trying that hard
Starting point is 00:09:12 if I'm being 100 with you. You know, when I watch him play, it's like, because if you give him one-on-one coverage, he's going to pick whoever that is, guard, he's going to pick him apart so quick. And it's like, then if you double him, he's always looking for the open man. He's a past first big. Who can score? You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:09:29 So it's fun to watch him. It's fun to watch him work. And he's going to be, he's going to be hard to stop, too, man. That's why I say the West so tough because by the time whoever comes out of the West, they're going to be so beat up because from the first round all way into the West to the finals, boy, you're going to have a headhunters on you. You got your hands full. He's going to pace Joe to lead the league and assist again.
Starting point is 00:09:55 You know, Will did it many, many years ago, but this guy's leading the league and assists with double digits, which is crazy. It don't make no sense, man. It's crazy. It don't make no sense. Like I said, his touch around the basket is second to none. I've seen a lot of big. I mean, so we go back to the mid-sevies and come forward.
Starting point is 00:10:17 I've never seen a big with that kind of touch. No, I ain't either. I ain't either. I ain't either, I ain't either, Ocho. So I think for Denver, it's all about how healthy they can get or how healthy Gordon could get because he's the one guy who can definitely help Murray and Yokicich. You know, when he comes to me.
Starting point is 00:10:34 Get Watson back. Yeah, and get Watson back. They got to get them dudes back healthy. So they get them back, they get those guys back health. It's going to be very interesting because you know, look, come playoff time, Murray and Yoke. They're going to be Murray and Yoke. It's Gordon. When Gordon gave you that third option.
Starting point is 00:10:52 Yeah. Yeah. He gives you that third option. He's going to be tough. He's going to be, he's going to be tough. He's going to be tough. They're going to be tough to beat. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:03 Because, you know, you don't. know, what do you do? You let him get 50? Or do you let him get 25, 30 with 20 rebounds and 15 assists? Oh, my God. Because you add his mercy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:17 Like you said, they don't have one guy that can stop him. You got to bring the double. You got to bring help. And it just comes now, anytime a guy gets double, Joe, and you know this, it's up to the guy. If they're knocking down shots, you're like, well, hey, f if it,
Starting point is 00:11:33 we'll get the next game. Yeah. Yeah. Because if you don't come, he's going to punish it. If you do come, he's going to kick it. And the guy's knocking down shots. Yeah, you got to pick your poison. That's a loo-l-l-l situation, huh?
Starting point is 00:11:46 Yeah. Hey, that's why they, you know, a lot of teams starting to be physical with a lot of these guys, too. You know, have them crying and whining to the referee. Got you trying to wear them down. Like, man, we know we ain't going to stop you. But if we can frustrate you and have you teed off out here the way you get a couple of ignorant files
Starting point is 00:12:07 and you have to go sit down and we've done just as good a job. You know what I mean? Yeah. So we'll see. The one thing we do know, he has at least five more years. Let's see what his numbers are.
Starting point is 00:12:21 Let's see what he's done. Has he won more championships? Have he won more MVP? And then we're going to have to have a serious, serious discussion. Because the numbers are going to warrant and the wars are going to warrant. It's just a matter how many championships does he have.
Starting point is 00:12:34 Because it's going to want some consideration. It's going to put them at the top. Yeah, absolutely. Because there ain't a whole lot of guys that got, I mean, you got to go back. Only, let's see, Kareen with four, with six MVP's. You got Jordan and Russell with five MVP's. And you got LeBron and Will with four MVPs.
Starting point is 00:13:04 You're talking about what you? Moses. Malone has three. So magic has three. Bird has three. So now we're talking about he already has three. Now you mess around and get him and let him get a fourth and a fifth. And he gets a couple of championships.
Starting point is 00:13:18 Now what are we supposed to do with that? Just ignore it? Oh, let me guess. He played in a soft era. There's always going to be something. So we go on see. Before we move on, Joe, the social media team had this post yesterday. Look at Joe.
Starting point is 00:13:41 What happened, bro? Joe, Oh, man, what y'all got going on? Joe, what's going on? Joe? Do you know anything about wrestling, Joe? Yeah, I know something about wrestling. Well, uh, junkyard dog.
Starting point is 00:13:53 Well, CM Punk did that when he beat Seth, where he won the belts. So he was making fun of Seth Rollins and his, and his, and, and Becky. So they got the championship. So he's like, I got the bills now. So that's what he was doing. So we were spoofing, we were spoofing that.
Starting point is 00:14:10 And people were like, man, why y'all do Joe like that? Clearly, y'all not wrestling fans. Because if you were wrestling fans, you're the new CM Punk did that, and we took that from CM Punk. Yeah. They thought you thought you were...
Starting point is 00:14:22 Can we pull up the clip from Seattle? Oh, they thought you were... You see Joe? Yeah, yeah, they thought you were trying... They thought you were trying to put shame on the king. Wait, hold on, whoa. See, ain't nobody thought that. See, you added that, Joe.
Starting point is 00:14:36 Ain't nobody said nobody... Shame on the who? No, I'm saying... I'm saying, I'm telling you what... Put the head on. I'm seeing a punk that had no hat on. I'm telling you what social media were thinking. They were thinking like, oh, man, they try to put,
Starting point is 00:14:45 they try to put shame on the king. That's what they do. You know what I'm saying, Ocho. Yo, you can't, you can't self-proclaim yourself as a king. You can't do that, Joe. Ocho, do we have to go through this every time, man? You can't call yourself the king. You have to be appointed.
Starting point is 00:15:02 I was anointed. Anointed. By who? Ocho, you know what I, hey, you know when I was in high school, this back in 1999, back in a little rock. Arkansas at the Little Rock Central. You know, I won a homecoming king, Ocho. I was anointed back in the day in high school.
Starting point is 00:15:18 Real? Yeah, man, one homecoming king. How are you homecoming king and you don't, you only play football? It was, I won the basketball homecoming king. Doing the game. Y'all had a basketball homecoming king? What kind of boy jumping?
Starting point is 00:15:31 Y'all have a football team? You don't have, hold on, hold on, hold on, whoa, whoa, no, we don't. I ain't ever heard that. Who don't? Nobody but you? Homecoming king. Homecoming king.
Starting point is 00:15:40 Homecoming. King and Queen is on football night. It's a football. Football. Man, you've got a homecoming king for basketball. I don't know where y'all from, bro. In the sticks, I know y'all from down there. Chat.
Starting point is 00:15:51 I know a basketball. I promise you, I've never heard of basketball homecoming king and queen. Now, football. Man, y'all, what is, what? Chat. It's different down now. I need y'all chat. Chat don't know.
Starting point is 00:16:03 They don't know. Hey, what's your, what's your school population was? About 200? Chill, chill, chill. I'm just asking. We had, no, Joe, we had close to about 500 people in my high school class now. Damn, and just one class? No, not your high school, your graduating class.
Starting point is 00:16:20 Yes, my high school graduating class. Now, you mean the whole school, 500 kids. Joe, I have never heard. Now, I don't been to a lot of places. As a matter of fact, I'm getting ready to go to the county fair. But being from the South and being on a farm, I was in four age. I went to county fairs. I went to two goat shows and a cow show.
Starting point is 00:16:41 I ain't never heard no ish like that when you got a basketball homecoming I ain't never heard it, Ocho and the chat said they ain't never heard it either man matter of fact matter of fact it's homecoming king man what is wrong with y'all these people
Starting point is 00:16:55 saying this in the chat homecoming for football game you mean hold on you mean the prom you was prom king now I get it if you say I was prom king because you got homecoming you got prom. So if you say I was the prom king
Starting point is 00:17:08 okay Joe congratulations you got basketball Man, y'all, y'all must grow up in some real rural areas to where. And then y'all probably didn't have stop license. You from Little Rock, Arkansas. I know. I'm not. I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:17:26 Like he from LA or New York. Hey, hey, show me a picture, Joe. Show me a picture you want homecoming king. Show you. I need to see a picture. Okay, bad. I'm, I'm going to show you. you, I ain't got one.
Starting point is 00:17:41 Yeah, yeah. No, he's trying to use AI. You think you're going to use AI and try to create one. Oh Joe, you think I sit here and lie to you, bro. This last thing I'm gonna do, I ain't gonna lie to you, bro. Like I said, prom, if you say, hey, uh, Ocho, you know you boy, you know your boy, you know your boy with prom king.
Starting point is 00:17:59 So I've been at this king thing for a minute now. This ain't the first time I've been in order to king. They crowned me the king for the prom. Okay, you know, your boy playing a little football. I was a quarterback. I was a wire receiver. I was homecoming king. Gotcha.
Starting point is 00:18:14 So y'all try to... Nah, something ain't right. Something ain't adding up. Dang, boy, hey. Boy, these people are going to talk about y'all over here, man. Maybe, maybe, hey, maybe y'all had a nice little pep rally. Y'all used to do it. Y'all had a pep rally, right?
Starting point is 00:18:28 Yeah, man, we used to have a pep rally. Come on, man, y'all don't try to play out like that. I'm just saying. If you had a basketball homecoming, ain't no telling what else y'all had. Hold on. So, listen, do y'all tell me, in these colleges, they have football homecoming.
Starting point is 00:18:42 Y'all do know they have a basketball homecoming, too, right? Not by school. Y'all, man, well, y'all stop playing crazy. I promise you. So y'all got a baseball homecoming too, track homecoming? Nope. So what we're stopping today? You got to stop somewhere.
Starting point is 00:19:00 Hey, Ray, y'all got a chill, bro. Badger's your head. They had a wrestling homecoming, football, homecoming, basketball, homecoming, basketball, homecoming, soccer, baseball. Here we go. Wow. That's crazy. Maybe it's small areas that do that, Joe.
Starting point is 00:19:14 Maybe a small area. No, maybe so. Not down here in Miami. Not that I know. Look, the chat telling y'all both. They tell you about. I mean, the people in the chat that are saying both are probably from small rural areas like Arkansas. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:27 I mean, they probably have a black and a white homecoming queen. Okay, I get it. Yeah. Wow. Wow. I don't believe you want. Black and white proms. I mean, y'all have.
Starting point is 00:19:38 Hey. Hey, listen, hey listen, hey listen, y'all want to put a stain on my crown so bad. No, we put no stain on it. We just saying, there's no way you wanted. Hey, hey, hey, listen, I don't figure y'all out. I don't figure y'all out. What y'all want to put a stain on your boy so bad? Y'all good.
Starting point is 00:19:54 We're good. Joe, I ain't even went homecoming king, so I know you ain't even went when you was playing. No. In high school? No. Ocho. Oh, Joe. Hold on, I'm going to have to get my, I'm going to get my stuff together on y'all.
Starting point is 00:20:08 Get it. Get it, Joe. Get it, Joe. Like, I ain't went home coming, King. I won Clas Clown. I won that. They got that one right. Hey, all the way through the NFL.
Starting point is 00:20:22 What you see is what you get. Damn. You know, I didn't went homecoming. I was Mr. Senior. What that mean? Class of Perlady. Who? most likely to succeed.
Starting point is 00:20:43 That's what that means? Mr. Senior? No, I won Mr. Senior. You had a Mr. in your graduating class, you had a Mr. Mr. C. Mr. I never heard you.
Starting point is 00:20:53 You had a most likely to succeed. You had most talented. You had all. Yes. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. We got most likely to succeed. Okay.
Starting point is 00:21:02 Okay. Yeah. Hold on. So tell me some, did you have a, did I have like a senior banquet and all that? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:09 Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We had a senior bank. Hold on. Did you have a senior trip?
Starting point is 00:21:12 Y'all had a senior trip? Yes, I didn't. What was I? Oh, Joe, where was I going to go? I was going to get money going to see your trip. Joe, y'all had a senior trip. I didn't go though. Where they went?
Starting point is 00:21:24 I went to Disney World or Disneyland, whichever one is out here. Yeah, it was, it was somewhere like that. We went on the cruise. So what was I going to use for luggage? Pigley, weekly bags? They had no suitcase. The hell I looked like going to the cruise
Starting point is 00:21:38 with grocery bags. Come on now. Yeah. I got my book. I can bring it to you. Most likely to succeed. Most athletic. That's what I'm going to do.
Starting point is 00:21:53 I have to give my yearbook. I got the most superlatives in Glenville history. That can never be broken because it's not a high school anymore. I'm the only athlete to win most MVP in basketball, football track, and senior athlete. I'm the only one that did it, sweet stakes. Hey, that's impressive. I ain't going to lie to you. Sweet stakes.
Starting point is 00:22:12 That's impressive. But I still ain't heard of the whole basketball homecoming. Man, y'all ain't yelled to the dog. This is, boy, this crazy. Self-proclaimed king, child, please. You don't see the chat, the chat voucher in it for everything I'm saying. Nah, the chat. They said, you know, they said, they said, it's a football homecoming
Starting point is 00:22:42 and a basketball homecoming. Close the chat. Let's go close the chat. We got to pull up. Hey, hey, hey. I'm Luke Wilson. Join me each week for Film Never Lies. Starting point is 00:23:39 And was Daniel Ricardo's illustrious F-1 career, a success story, a cautionary tale? or some combination of both. He started getting all this attention and he maybe started to think I'm bigger than this, I'm better, and plenty of other mishaped scandals and sagas that have made Formula One a delightful, decadent, gumster fire for more than 75 years.

Starting point is 00:25:10 This is where teams reshape their future. This is where Daniel, Jeremiah makes his money. On 40s and free agents, we break down every move that actually matters. From my draft evaluations, mock drafts, and team fits to my top 101 free agents and how real rosters are built, cap space, contracts, and all the tough decisions included. Smart analysis, real conversations, every week.
Starting point is 00:25:44 I don't know about the smart, but definitely analysis. Listen to 40s and free agents on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Echro, I detected a voter fraud, so we've got to close the chat. Damn, what's up? What's up, fellas, y'all was trying? Are we good, Joe?
Starting point is 00:26:03 No. Yeah, we got everything good, Joe. See. Ocho, last night, Ocho and I discussed Clarissa's field chance to win against Roli Romero. Well, both Clarissa and Shakur has responded. Okay, I got Clarissa over Shannon Sharp in a boxing match. Facts.
Starting point is 00:26:25 These guys are so misinformed about boxing, like Marjor Mayweather says. Some people don't know itch about boxing since day one I've been sparring with men. It's a reason I'm running through these women. Yes, you're running through women, Clarissa. Clarissa, you're not beating a male trained fighter. You're not. if that was the case you would have fought men
Starting point is 00:26:48 you're not they're not going to sanction it we're not saying that you're a bad a woman's fighter you're great you're the you're the quote you're the greatest woman's bop of all time yeah we're conceding that Shakur is just upset
Starting point is 00:27:05 that I said I'm not paying no money to see him fight this fight is not interested so he's mad about that I don't even want to discuss him but Clarissa is not a shot at at you he's still talking about I don't box I'm an almost 58 year old granddad or two
Starting point is 00:27:19 but I tell you what Shakur and I'm going to leave it like this when your career is over we'll compare we'll compare careers that's all I want to do now back to our normally scheduled programming Chris it's not a shot at you
Starting point is 00:27:34 you're phenomenal a woman's fighter but Clarissa you're not beating a trained male fighter you're not. He knows that. And if you want to take up, like I said,
Starting point is 00:27:49 Serena laid it out. Serena is the greatest female woman's tennis player ever. She says, I'm not beating a male. I'm not beating a male of tennis player. They're not. There's a reason. If they could do a physical sport with men and women, they would do it.
Starting point is 00:28:05 But they have a woman's league and they have a men's league. There's a reason why. There's a reason. Uncle and Joe when we talked about this last night too Joe the one thing I went to yeah with great understanding obviously my knowledge of boxing is it's very good the way Joe the way you you and uncle talk about you know basketball I can talk about boxing so I understand in a sense that with common sense and logic there's no way a woman even the greatest woman of all time that she can be to a male trained boxer it's impossible even the worst even the worst of male boxes that really aren't that
Starting point is 00:28:40 good but are pros at what they do they would beat miss shield But understanding, then I just, I shifted to the mentality that she had, huh? The fact that she even thinks she can in that belief that if I had the opportunity to do so or fight one is one of the reasons why she is as great as she is. That's it. And I got a little pushback about that. But I don't think people are understanding what I was trying to say. She's not going to win.
Starting point is 00:29:08 She's not going to be. But the fact that she had that kind of mentality is, which is why she is the greatest. of all time at what she does. But logically, and being realistic, you might not like Roley. He's not as polished his other boxer. He's not a pure fighter
Starting point is 00:29:23 when you're watching fight. He's not that. So I think from that standpoint, she looks at Roley, the way he fights, him not being a polished boxer, you know, or whatever it may be. You know what, I think I could beat him. But it just, it wouldn't happen.
Starting point is 00:29:39 Realistically speaking. Ocho, that's a man taking a punch versus a woman taking a punch. There's a reason men, body, and most athletes male produce more testosterone than the average. Women don't do that. She would get hurt. Yes, I'm talking about a trained male fighter. People in the chat are ignorant and dumb.
Starting point is 00:30:08 I said last night, we're talking about Roly, Roly. Oh, Cho, can you explain to the people that Roley is a professional, They know that. We were talking about professional fighters. Now they try to take it. They're going to move the goalposts. They're moving the goalposts and creating other scenarios outside of the one that is the main topic. Clarissa Shields is great as she is.
Starting point is 00:30:30 She knows. Shakur knows. You know, their knowledge of boxing and doing it all their life, they understand. So I guess Amanda Nunez, I guess Amanda Nunes can beat a trained MMA by. Come on. That's even worse. That's four. That's four ounce gloves.
Starting point is 00:30:46 That's even worse. Why not? You got to have that mentality. That's all I'm saying. I'm not saying that she's not great. She's great. She's the greatest woman fighter ever. But to fight a man, Serena, who's the greatest woman's basketball player?
Starting point is 00:31:03 She's not beating a man in basketball. In tennis, she's not. The greatest woman's soccer player, she's not beating a man. And it's okay. There's a reason why, Ocho, we have leagues that are for women and for men. And that's why everybody gets up in arms when men say, well, you're taking these hormones and try to compete against women's because it's unfair. A, what is it? What is it that you don't see?
Starting point is 00:31:34 I see it. Y'all just want to have something to. And like I said, I think the world over her. Her story, if you've heard her story. And to see where she came from from the streets of the. to what she's turned herself into a two-time Olympic champion. Once as a teenager and what she's turned herself into, kudos, get nothing but respect from me.
Starting point is 00:31:59 But y'all know ain't no trained woman fighter beating a trained male fighter. It's not happening. Y'all know that. The power is just not there. The dude that clipped her sparring, rolling knocked out with headgear i think hey look i think because of that too uh because of her sparring sessions maybe she's sparring with guys it's probably she's probably built up the confidence to where she really does think she can be the man yeah cho you spar you think they
Starting point is 00:32:42 going hard on her like they would if they was going against another guy getting ready for a fight seriously not they don't turn up no they won't turn up because they understand it's especially at that level, it's about work. It's not beating. It's not about beating the person in the ring. It's about giving them the work that they need to prepare for whatever they're getting ready for. Because if they want to,
Starting point is 00:32:59 a train fighter, those that I've been at with, Kayla Plant, the Charlo Brothers. As a matter of Joe, before you go any further, I saw Kayla Plant in the grocery store. He told me to take you a little bit.
Starting point is 00:33:10 I just saw me the grocery store. Hey, Joe, they can kill you if they want to, Joe. They can kill if you want, if they want to, if they want to turn up as a, even as a trained fighter it's levels to everything and I think the way
Starting point is 00:33:25 Clarissa Shields looks at Roley, he's not as polished, he's not a pure boxer. His fighting style is unorthodox and it's awkward if you watch him fight. It looks weird. I mean, it just does. I'm just being honest. You know, if you look at Roley and you look at Shakur, two completely
Starting point is 00:33:42 different levels. So when she sees that as a polished boxer, as the best women of all time, She thinks, well, hell, I can beat that. I can beat that. That's her mentality. But can she really do it?
Starting point is 00:33:57 Yes, yeah, yeah, I understand the champion. Yes, Uncle, I know. But can't she really do it? No, absolutely not. We're probably see, we'll probably see a match, a woman fighting a man. They're going to sanction it. They can't sanction that, Joe. 10-ounce gloves, 8-ounce gloves, no headgear, man versus woman.
Starting point is 00:34:19 No, Joe. Man, if they know you're going to tune in, they're going to make a matter. She'll get hurt, Joe. They won't, what you're going to have to go overseas where there's no sanctioned in body because there's not a sanctioning body in the U.S. that'll sanction it. I love the confidence.
Starting point is 00:34:37 I love the confidence. And that confidence she has, you know, and like some people say it's delusion is why she's the greatest of all time or what she does. I can make a, oh, Joe, I can make a case that Sidney McLaughlin is the greatest friend of 400,
Starting point is 00:34:51 Herdle, open 400. Most high schoolers, I beat her in the open four. So you think Sidney McLaughlin can beat a train, a trained 400-meter hurdler? No. That's running. Why you think in a fight,
Starting point is 00:35:12 a trained fighter male versus a woman that the woman can beat in? Why would you think that? And why would you want to see that? I wouldn't want to see that. I mean, I promise you. I don't know how you guys watch. Oh, Joe, Joe,
Starting point is 00:35:40 when I watch sports, I never thought that man, I wonder Serena could beat Federer. I wonder she could beat Joe. Not. No. No. There's no excitement in that, uh. There's no excitement in that.
Starting point is 00:35:55 What? That's my only question. Joe, why is it enough to be the best that you're giving, your given field? Why can't, why is it enough to be the greatest woman boxer ever? because she doesn't it's almost like you don't want any measurements on it it's like you don't
Starting point is 00:36:16 reach the pinnacle she at the top can't no girl touch and she know that oh she she wants to continue to keep going so therefore now this narrative then came out that she feel like she can be be the man that me that's what's next you know what a uncle joe what if they do make that an exhibition. What if that, what is that the next thing that she does? It's going to be the same thing. You saw what happened when Jake Paul
Starting point is 00:36:50 fought a real fighter in Anthony Joshua. How did that look, Coacho? How did that look, Coacho? There's levels to stuff. That's why men fight men. Women fight women. Women play women's basketball, WNBA.
Starting point is 00:37:10 They got the NBA. They got the women's soccer league. They got the men's soccer league. when it comes to things that involve physical strength, men don't compete against women. There's a reason why. And we know the reason. This is not a knock on her.
Starting point is 00:37:30 She's phenomenal. I know Roger Mayweather said, hey, are you right? I don't know. I just know Ms. Shields, you're not beating a trained male fighter, especially a three-time champion.
Starting point is 00:37:42 You're not. And you and Shakur can be upset with me. all you guys want to. I still love you. I still admire you. I think you're phenomenal because your story coming from Michigan
Starting point is 00:37:54 and doing what you did, getting yourself out of an impoverished situation, getting your family out of that condition. Absolutely. But you're not beating a trained male fighter.
Starting point is 00:38:05 You're not. You're just not. And that's not a knock on you. You're talking about rolling. You're talking about rolling. You know, rolling ain't that skill. That better a freedom. She's a child.
Starting point is 00:38:24 Yeah. I'm see. Hey, uh, I'm, I'm a stay. I'm, I'm a stay away from that. But from, from a, from a, from a, from a skill standpoint. Mm. You think, so you think Clarissa is more skilled and rolling? Like skillful, skillful, skillful wise like boxing, pure boxing?
Starting point is 00:38:44 Yes, absolutely. Absolutely. Yeah. Absolutely. Okay. Absolutely. But, but, but so so she. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:38:51 No. Why not? She must. No. No. No, because the comparison, hold on. Listen to me, listen to me, listen, the comparison is skill. Okay.
Starting point is 00:38:59 It's not about male and women. I'm talking about just men from a men's perspective. Let me. No, no, no, no. We talk, you say she's more skilled than Roley. He's more polished. She's a more polished. She's a more polished boxer.
Starting point is 00:39:10 She's a more polished boxer. Roley's not a polished. So she should be able to be in. She should be able to be in. You don't have the power to even affect them. If she's more skilled, she should be in it. Skill is not about, I'm, she's not about. I'm, she's more skillful.
Starting point is 00:39:27 It was what she does. He doesn't have that kind of skill. Okay. So why she, she shouldn't get hit. No, come on. So you know what I mean, man. Let me ask you a question.
Starting point is 00:39:38 You said Floyd. Skill. What was Floyd so skillful at? What could he do? You can't hit him. And his defense is his offense. Okay. Now, stay with me real quick.
Starting point is 00:39:50 When you watch your true fight, the most skillful right now, boxing when he fights what can people not do they can't what did him did he same thing very skillful when you watch roly fight he's trying to knock everybody out every punches with bad intention but he's not gonna be her though because she's so skillful he won't be able to get her man he will kill on stop come on stop playing there joe joe am i the only one to chat am i the only one yes you don't only one confused if you watch boxing you know boxing you know this she's a better boxer She's more skillful
Starting point is 00:40:26 Whether it be defensively or offensively But he will still beat her So how does she lose? It's a man. What do you mean? He can crack Joe, do you hear what he said? Are you not listening? There's a difference between him being a man and her being a better boxer She's a better boxer or better pure boxer Whether it's out what it's on the outside, what it's on the inside. She's a better boxer, unk.
Starting point is 00:40:55 She's better skillfully. It doesn't mean she can beat him. He has an awkward fighting style. He just does. But it works for him. That motherfucker can crack. If he hits Clevers and Shield, she's going to sleep. What do you mean if?
Starting point is 00:41:12 I mean, come on, man. You said if, Ocho, if she got touched, Ocho, did you see the fight? That lady. Yes. Okay. Okay. If Roley touch her.
Starting point is 00:41:28 like the lady she's just like fresh one it's nice it's nice out it's it's lights out we know that and we've already said i said when we first started the conversation jokes what i say there's no way in any scenario she's being roly i said that but you now we went to skill now when it comes to skill she's a better skillful boxer she's a pure she's a purified if you watch boxing you can say it roly has an awkward stylist unorthodox you don't know what the hell's coming but if you're If he catch you, you're going to sleep. But see, that's what makes him so dangerous because what Ray Roy was skillful, but what rate made Roy Jones his unorthodox style?
Starting point is 00:42:10 Because you didn't know where he was going to throw a punch. And you ain't going to see the damn punch. That's another problem. Hey, hold on. What was Roy's flaw too? Because he was so skillful, because his footwork was so good, because he was so goddamn quick, he never had to rely on defense. And what let him down when he got knocked out?
Starting point is 00:42:25 And he got older, those reflexes weren't the same. same. So a punch that he could dodge or see coming when he was younger. The one that Tarva hit him with, he never saw it. He never saw it. But hopefully, hopefully,
Starting point is 00:42:41 we've been going to this almost three years ago, though. Hopefully, you and I never have another discussion when it comes to men and women competing against each other. I really hope we don't. Because I think me, we can admire the beauty of each sport. And I think you can be the great in this.
Starting point is 00:43:01 And like, you know, I'm fine with that. Serena is perfectly fine with being the greatest woman's tennis player ever. And I think Asia Wilson is going to be the greatest. I mean, you know, I know she said that she could beat Josh Hart when she can't. When she can't. Greatest of all time. That's what I believe. But when you talk, it's talking about a professional versus professional and a physical sport.
Starting point is 00:43:26 different man it's different hey hey joe when we talk about what's talking about skill and art is when you watch people fight think about the chakur and the tio loma the tio fight right and we always see tio play with his opponents and do all kind of tricks and hands down and doing all this and he fights Shakur is levels to everything. That's the skill. That's the skill. There's a huge skill gap between Clarissa and Roley. That's all I'm saying. But she won't, she won't win if they actually fought. I'm just saying from a standpoint of how polished she is as a boxer. Yes, because there's levels to everything. But a man against a woman, oh man, uh-uh, it ain't happening.
Starting point is 00:44:11 I think the thing is, Ocho, we got to be careful because a lot of times we look at Roley skills and we're looking at him through the lens. of Shakur or we're looking through the lens of Floyd or some of these other skillful fighters. And we say, well, he's not a skill of those guys, but he's skillful. Yeah. Just not because you're talking about now,
Starting point is 00:44:30 you start getting floored and you get Chouroar and you get Roy or you got a rest of your soul, Sweet Pete Whitaker. When you start getting those guys, now you start getting sugar eight. Now you get into a, you know, is other, is other fighters in that weight division? Look at Kishon. Look at Kishon.
Starting point is 00:44:47 Kishan Davis, yeah. Skill. Nice. Grace. Like skill, that takes extreme skill to be able to do that. Yes. Richard Hitchison. Richard Hitchens.
Starting point is 00:45:02 I'm not sure if I'm saying it right. Ugh. Skill. It's different. You know, I mean, but... What is Davis? One point? No.
Starting point is 00:45:14 Kishon. What, 135, one four. 140? I think he's 40. He 40 or 47? I think he's fighting 147 too, huh? I'm not sure. He might, I think so.
Starting point is 00:45:24 I think he's right. That boy. I think Tank is 140. A, skills. Tank won't fight. Tank won't fight Keishan. Hey, I don't know. Lamar Roach, huh?
Starting point is 00:45:34 We need to get his issues. Once we get, once we get these issues resolved, Joe, we can, we can start to think about fighting again. Man. But there's, there's some fights out there to be made. It is. I think Shakurantank, I think that's a big of a fight. That's a mega fight.
Starting point is 00:45:50 But you don't want that right now because if you get it right now, then there's nothing to look forward to. I've been looking forward to a fight. I mean, I look forward to, I've been looking forward. I look forward to, uh, uh, oh, we've been, we were looking forward to Canelo and Bud. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. That was nice.
Starting point is 00:46:08 I'm curious, which is still going to happen, Joe, where I'm glad Bud retired because it's going to take the right amount of money to bring him out of retirement. The other part, the other end of that, who's going to be. be the fighter that's going to bring them out of retirement that everybody wants to see. Man, nobody wants to bring him out. Those boys are ones. Oh, them boys are one.
Starting point is 00:46:28 They don't want to see. No, not. No, somebody's going to bring him out. No, somebody's going to bring him out. You think so?
Starting point is 00:46:34 You think so? Absolutely. No. I don't get a father. Happy International Women's Day. Tadda. To all the beautiful women out there that, hey, thank you.
Starting point is 00:46:49 Thank you for everything that you do, from taking care of the kids to supporting your family, supporting your husband, loved ones, whatever the case may be. You guys make it worthwhile. You guys make it happen. So we, Ocho, Joe. Appreciate you. I want to thank you sincerely. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:47:06 I love y'all. So all the women out there, this is your day. Hopefully you enjoyed it. Hopefully you did something fun. And your significant other took you to do something to let you know just how special you are. And him without you? Yes, sir. Ain't happening.
Starting point is 00:47:24 And every time you look up, every time you look up, it's a holiday. Yeah, we just got out of Valentine's Day. Ain't it? They're about to go in the St. Patrick. There ain't nobody getting that day. You know, it's a holiday, and?
Starting point is 00:47:37 Right. Right. Then Mother's Day right around the collar. Boy, hey, they found out of getting that money, man. I'd be Christmas. I'd be Christmas, wasn't supposed to be what it is. I mean, they bought presents for the man that was born. Right, right, right.
Starting point is 00:47:54 And somehow, they didn't bring no bikes. Who brought a bike on a car on your microwave? I'm Luke Wilson. Join me each week for Film Never Lies. Starting point is 00:50:17 Yeah, mine too, Greg. Free agency, the Combine, the NFL Draft Pro Days, trades. This is where teams reshape their future. This is where Daniel Jeremiah makes his money. On 40s and free agents, we break down every move that actually matters. From my draft evaluations, mock drafts, and team fits to my top 101 free agents and how real rosters are built, cap space, contracts, and all the tough decisions included. Starting point is 00:50:51 Smart analysis, real conversations every week. I don't know about the smart, but definitely analysis. Listen to 40s and free agents on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. There? Yeah. Ocho, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Patriots, reportedly, wanted Max Crosby this offseason,
Starting point is 00:51:16 but Tom Brady, eh, eh. Fowler spoke to someone involved in the Crosby trade and was quoted. No way Tom was sending Max to Brable. Brady and Raid were teammates in New England from 2001 to 2008. However, it seems Tom doesn't have any plan on helping his own team. Ocho, should the Raiders be worried that Tom ties to the Patriots could affect business decisions? No, not really, because I think Tom knows what he's doing. He knows what he's doing from a business side, especially trying to do what you can.
Starting point is 00:51:46 I think what the Patriots might have been offered for Matt Crosby, they weren't getting in return. I think what the Ravens got, what the Ravens were willing to give up for Matt Crosby, Tom Brady understands what I can continue to build over there in Las Vegas. And he understood that. This is about business now. Whether I want to help you improve or not, are you going to compensate me the value that we need to continue to prove our roster if we're giving away our identity to you? The Patriots probably weren't willing to do that, but the goddamn Ravens were.
Starting point is 00:52:14 So if the Patriots have two first and the Ravens have two first, you think Tom Brady doing business with his old team? That's a great question. That's a good question, huh? I don't think so. He ain't helping them now. I think it's a situation. Honestly, this is me, and like I said,
Starting point is 00:52:28 I haven't talked to anybody, but I can see a situation like what happened with Peyton and the Colts. If you didn't know better, you would swear Peyton Manning only played for the Broncos.
Starting point is 00:52:39 Because where do you see him at the games on Sunday, at the Broncos? Where do you see him doing stuff with the Broncos? He has a statue out in front of Lucas Oil. Tom probably will never say this and he won a championship.
Starting point is 00:52:55 I'm the greatest question. the back over and you let me. You told me I wasn't good enough. It was bad enough. When I first got into the league, I had to watch guy after guy, after guy, after guy. And you mean to tell me after six Super Bowls, after three MVP's, after four Super Bowl MVP's,
Starting point is 00:53:14 I'm not good enough. Funny how that business work, huh? And, and I understand Coach Belichick, but he said, Mr. Kraft, you signed off. You fired him, so you mean to tell me you couldn't override it? You let it get to this? That's just me.
Starting point is 00:53:30 That's just me looking at, knowing how I have this thing. Yeah. That's a good one. That's a good one. That man, hey, that man, uh, uh, you see how he held against every team that passed his ass up. Gave him, gave him, hey, put footseller for 23. Gave him hell, um, everybody. He did.
Starting point is 00:53:50 I, like I said, and I could be, I could be totally wrong, but I think there's still some, resentment there. He will never say it. And I get it. I get it. You always put, oh, no, we're great and, you know, the Patriots and yada, yada, yada. He's been very, very positive about Mr. Brelechek. He's been very, very positive about Mr. Kraft. They gave up.
Starting point is 00:54:12 So let that sink in. So chat, so next time y'all talking about these players and this and that, he's on the very short list. Whether you think a quarterback can be the goat of a league, that's not the hearing or there. We'll debate that a lot of the time. Here's a guy that had an exemplary career for 20 years
Starting point is 00:54:31 in New England with six Super Bowls, four MVPs, three regular season MVP. And you know when it comes to clutch, we ain't talking about the one that's in your car with a manual transmission. We're talking about the machine. And when you need something to happen,
Starting point is 00:54:46 he can make it pop up. And they said, nah, bro, you ain't got it no more. We want to be better without you. Hey, so I got a question. Yeah, I think that the championship that he won in Tampa Bay is more significant than anyone he's won in New England? I wouldn't be surprised if it meant more. Especially going from one team to another
Starting point is 00:55:07 and being able to win it for the first year. And when stuff like that happened, Joe, like if you were playing a video game and let's say you just trade one player to another team, now you expect to win. But to be able to do it in real life, to go to a new organization after being somewhere for what, 20, 20, 20 years?
Starting point is 00:55:27 20, yeah. And people say, oh, well, we don't know what's going to happen. Did you win in New England because of the bill or was it because of you? And then you go to the next place and win the following season? When people play their whole career and never go to a Super Bowl? Yeah, but Tampa Bay wasn't just slow, though. They was just missing.
Starting point is 00:55:46 All the pieces was already there. They were missing one thing. Yeah, yeah. All they needed is the guy that just turned the ball over. Right. Right. And I think because they didn't believe in him, he's like, hold on.
Starting point is 00:55:59 After everything I've done, y'all still doubt me now? Okay. It was so, boy, I would have loved to be a fly on the wall. When he was with his friends, his closest friend, his mom, his dad, his agent, his boys. Yeah. Because you've got to realize now once he left, that thing unraveled fairly quickly.
Starting point is 00:56:25 Very quickly. You know, if you don't have a quarterback, I mean, look, hold on. Mack Jones looked good his first year. But you understand why he looked good and would he had to deal with his second year. Somebody that shouldn't be appointed that had nothing to do with officer play call and didn't know what they was doing. So it went downhill very fast. Damn.
Starting point is 00:56:50 Some guys, you just look. And you see that. It happens. Because I don't care how well you played eventually. What do they do with Joe? Emmett Smith, the Cowboys. What did they do, Ocho? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:05 Joe, you know that's your team. You know. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So Joe Montana, Emmett Smith, Tom Brady, Jerry Rice, I can make a case.
Starting point is 00:57:17 Therefore, the top eight, nine, ten players. At their position, yeah. Had to finish their careers elsewhere. Because the team, after everything they had done, it's not good. But when a player says, I want out. Are you selfish?
Starting point is 00:57:38 You know I go? Oh, Joe, Joe, the Rams and Trent MacDuffy agreed to a record four-year deal. $124 million extension. $100 million. 100 million guaranteed, making him the highest paid cornerback in history. The highest paid cornerback per year. He makes $31 million. Salt Gardner, $30.1.
Starting point is 00:58:00 Stingley Jr., 30. J.C. Horn, 25. Jalen Ramsey, 24.1, and Pat Sertan second, 24. Mm. McDuffin, McDuff is strapping like that. Hey, he's nice, nah. He's nice. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:58:18 Hey, um, listen, he's very nice. He can play inside, Joe. He can play on the outside, too. At times, if need be, he could travel. I'm not sure what they're going, how they're going to use him over there. He's probably not going to travel. I'm sure he has a Pacific side that he likes to play based on what he did in Kansas City. But he could strap.
Starting point is 00:58:33 Hey, he can strap, what? He can strap. I remember I had my, um, wide receiver workshop, and I talked about some of the dbs that were difficult, you know, to play against. I asked, I asked, um, I asked Jumar Chase. I asked some, some other receivers. And obviously Patrick Sertainne was at the top, but goddamn Trent McDuffey's name kept coming up. He held to deal with, along with, you know, Denzel Ward.
Starting point is 00:58:55 And it's the same, it's the same name that always talk about, yeah, we talk about the DB that come up. It's Denzel Ward, Trent McDuffy, Pat Surtain, you know, the J.C. Horns. Stingley. Stingley is always in that conversation too. So he. Gonzales is not in that. Now you guys, you'll have, hey, they're going to have to do something with Gonzalez. You're going to have to do some. Oh, yeah, yeah. I forgot Gonzalez is up too. Hey, he's nice, huh? He's nice.
Starting point is 00:59:20 I wish I would see, I wish he talked a little bit more. So the, the, the, the personality matches up. You don't get that man to talk out of his game, Ocho. See, you try to get that that man to talk down in the house. No, I'm just saying because it, it, it, that ain't his game. That's okay. I even decide we need that kind of personality to be a little bit more brash, a little bit more boastful about how good they are. That ain't, Ocho, that's your game. You tried to get him to do something like you did.
Starting point is 00:59:45 Everybody came talking play. Okay. Some people just like to play and let the play talking to talk. You and I, we like to talk and play. And I'm going to tell you what I'm going to do. And then when I play, go talk for you on top of it. Yeah, yeah. Because sometimes I get too tired to talk, but I'm a play.
Starting point is 01:00:01 I'm hitting this touchdown on you. I'm doing it. He nice, though, but that's a really, that's a really, listen, that defense improves, which is already good, which is already good at the, the back end was already good, especially last year. But to add that to what they already have, especially with that front line, the Rams got. And you get a solid piece at corner, they're going to be nice. They're going to be, I would love to be, I would love to be a fly on the wall at a practice in the one-on-ones with Trent McDuffie and Pookin'Kua. Ooh, we. I would love to see that.
Starting point is 01:00:34 Pook ain't no slouch, man. Oh, they must be got some money. I know Mr. Cronky got a boat low, but it's going to take some more. Because what he just paid? What he just paid? Yeah. McDuffie.
Starting point is 01:00:48 He's going to have to add about 40, 50 more million to add. For Puka? Yeah. Is Puka this year or is it next year? Pooka, Puka up. Yeah. This Pooka's fourth. Hold of this Pooka third or fourth year.
Starting point is 01:01:02 Pooka was a fifth round pick. Oh, my goodness. He's up. He only got a three-year deal. Yeah, he's up. They're going to have to back up their bridge. Joe, he's going to reset the market, Jay. He's going to reset the market.
Starting point is 01:01:16 Now, I'm curious, I'm curious if over there in Seattle, they're waiting on Puga to sign, or J.S. ain't going to sign first, or they're going to make J.S.N. play one more year. So he's played three years or four years? Okay. He signed the four-year deal. Damn, they signed that many,
Starting point is 01:01:33 that signed that long a deal? at the fifth rounder? Yeah, he about to, he about to, yeah, he about to break, he about to break it up. Joe, he might get 42 for what? He got to give it, 42 a year? Mm-hmm. 32 a year.
Starting point is 01:01:54 Who the highest pay receiver right now? Chase, yeah. We're going to reset the market. That's crazy. Hey, Joe, it's going to keep going up, too, Joe. It's going to keep going up. Yeah. Hey, I don't know if you saw, but you saw the NFL
Starting point is 01:02:18 tried to redo them TV deals. You see that, don't you? They are? Get out of here. Yeah. But they want more? Hey, Netflix said, we won't in. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:32 CBS Paramounts and say, hey, y'all know we got a good relationship. We bought up everything. We put it on any network you want to. You want to CBS? You want, hey, you want to see it in whatever network you want. Hey, hey, Netflix, hey, you know, in order. to be considered for real. You got to get live events.
Starting point is 01:02:49 You got to get a live sporting event. And nothing is better than the NFL football. And teams going to pay big dollars for it. And they know that. Damn. All right, now it's time to play a fade presented by prize picks. Quentin Grimes, 4.5 assists. Quentin Grimes.
Starting point is 01:03:22 They play tomorrow. He might be over that because of what you call, Tyrese Max, and hurt his hand. Oh, yeah. It looked like it was serious, too. Yeah, Tyrese, I might go over that, so he'll have to start. I might go more than four and a half. Because if Maxey can't play, that means he's going to get more time.
Starting point is 01:03:43 I agree with you on. I agree with you on this one, boy. More, more, more. Christian Braun, when you combine rebounds and assists, 7.5. So he'll have at least when you combine rebounds and assists, at least eight. They play OKC? Yep. And Denver.
Starting point is 01:04:05 Damn. Rebounds and assist. Ah. I might give him more on. I'm going to. I'm going more to. Uh-oh. Nicola Yokic, more than 27.
Starting point is 01:04:23 More. More. More. Hey, he's trying to prove a point. I got, I got him in more. I got him more of this game because I think Merritt might be out. Yeah. Might.
Starting point is 01:04:36 Jalen Brunson they played the Clippers tomorrow Rebounds and assist more than 10.5 Nah rebounds and assist I'm going on a little
Starting point is 01:04:56 He'll get a couple rebounds but not enough to wear I got him less I got less You boy with the Lakers Jaylon Brunson He average one Damn they're playing the Clippers You going more up?
Starting point is 01:05:15 I'm going more. All right, I got to write this down. I think he'll get like three. He'll get three or he'll get four assists to call out of the time and the pick and roll. That's hit or miss. Yeah. If I'm a bed man, I ain't just like, you know.
Starting point is 01:05:43 Dang, Joe. I can't believe it. I can't believe it. I'm with you. I'm with you. I mean, he said he's been at 14 over the last four games. So yeah, I'm going more. Ocho, you want more?
Starting point is 01:05:59 Yeah, I'm going with more. I'm going with Joe, huh? I like it. Get it right here. Today, he has six rebounds and seven assists. Against the Lakers? Yep. Okay, this is a back to us.
Starting point is 01:06:25 It's a back-to-back tomorrow. Back-to-back. So y'all expect for him to do this again. What is he average? What is he averaging for the year? He's got to be averaging at least six rebounds. I mean, six assists. of season five yeah he probably about six that's 10 so yeah he average he average a
Starting point is 01:06:57 he average a 10 rebounds he average a 10 rebounds of season six and a half assists three and a half rebounds yeah I get one more I'm saying more more all right all right Download the app today. Use code Shannon to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. Prize picks, it's good to be right. Oh, yeah. Hey, hey, aunt and Joe?
Starting point is 01:07:28 What's that? A, a, uh, a, ask you hear me to, onk? Yep. Hey, chat, what you call a dog with no legs? You call it what they're going to. You won't come. Okay, that's a good one.
Starting point is 01:07:43 That's a good one. That's a good one. That's a good one. Hey, you're like that job. John don't know. You can't keep getting you. Hey, that's a good one. You buy, you got two.
Starting point is 01:07:54 Joe, you say he thought he had them. Joe, just stick with me, Joe. Stick with me, Joe. Stick with me, Joe. That was a good one. That was a good one. That was a good one. Oh, with no legs.
Starting point is 01:08:05 Now it's time for our final segment. The evening is time for Q. And, hey. You cannot say, you know, you can't say, you got to say, mobility challenged. Why? Yeah. Don't play by them animals, boy.
Starting point is 01:08:30 Well, you can't, I mean, you can't say dis-same and things. You got to just say, you know, mobility restricted or mobility? Oh, so if I say, what's the hardest part? No, don't say it. Yeah, but if you do say yes, yeah, we're going to say mobility challenge.
Starting point is 01:08:45 Or restricted, yes. Before we get to our super chat, we got a video voicemail from our Discord. So make sure you join the Discord and submit a video on voicemails for the show. All right, this one comes from Panther Pride. Let's take a list of what he had to say, guys. What's up? Nightcap, fam, Ocho, and King Iceo.
Starting point is 01:09:07 Down here in South Florida, just move here. I always watch out young right now. I always watch out. Hey, Ocho, where you get your cigars from? What is it? I go down to Miami, Cuban Crapes. Sit down there and smoke. I had me a Cuban.
Starting point is 01:09:23 I have me in a coffee. Where do you get your, these cigars, Ocho? It's definitely closer to you. Yeah, right. Yeah, I know about Cuban crafters. If you down this way, if you're in Miami, I go to aficionado cigar bar
Starting point is 01:09:38 right here in Pembroke Pines. Sometimes they go to top-notch right across the street in Miami Garden from the Dolphin Stadium. And I don't go to Smoke on the Water, which is out a little further, out there in West. And those are my three main spots. but for the majority of the time, really every day, I go right down to a fish and I don't get me a little coffee,
Starting point is 01:09:56 get me a little cigars, you know, if you're in time, but during the day, you catch me there sitting down there with my cheetah pants on with my feet kicked up. Hey, hey, you got to, you got to know how to smoke them cigars now.
Starting point is 01:10:09 You don't just get on them cigars and go to the pumpkin. Oh, no, no, no, no, no. It's an acquired taste. It's an acquired taste. It's just not about smoking them. You're smoking them for a reason, Joe. You're smoking them for a reason. You've got to know what you're doing.
Starting point is 01:10:21 What's the reason? Okay, Ocho, I went to the, uh, I went to the Bahamas, me and some of the homies went to the Bahamas when the seasons was over with one year. And man, we had a couple of them Cuban cigars. I'm talking about big strong joints. You hear me? And we ain't really, we weren't really no cigar smokers like that. Man, I smoked that cigar.
Starting point is 01:10:41 Oh, too, I woke up at six, six of the morning. I have been passed out about 10 in that night trying to smoke a cigar. I couldn't do nothing that night. See? You gotta know what you're doing. You know, I've smoked my cigar. They coast close to Cuba, Tampa Nuggets. You know the Tampa Nuggets, O'JJNs?
Starting point is 01:11:02 Yeah. Swisher, sweet. Do they count? J-D up from Akron. Iso, until you're in the throne, you got to bang the drums and hit that Ali champ. The champ is here. Do, do, do, do.
Starting point is 01:11:17 The chal is, man. All that ain't necessary. Yeah. All that ain't necessary. Horace Tedwell said, Ocho, check your messages on the gram, sent you a photo when you hot that CJ2K Celebrate Celebrity Game in 2018.
Starting point is 01:11:33 You dropped 12 points on T-MAC. Yeah. Hey, you next, Joe. Whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down, too. Hey, hey, hey, okay, see, everybody keep looking at the big three and not understanding that I was handicapped and not being able to do
Starting point is 01:11:50 I want to do. But when I played against T-Mack, me and T-Mack went at each other the whole game. It was just me and him. And I was able to score 12. And, you know, I mean, T-Mack like you, you know, he's tall, very, but once he, you know, wingspan, I'm like, okay, it's going to be difficult to get around him. But, Joe, I'm so quick off the dribble, that's the only way. And once I lower that shoulder and put that little, that chicken wing on you,
Starting point is 01:12:10 they create a little space like mellow do on that little middy. Yeah. I'm able to get to my spot, Joe. Like, I can't, I can't talk the game of basketball, but I know, I know, I know how to maneuver on the court to be able to create space, Joe. That's why I talk the way I do, even though it's what you do. I'm not going to beat you, Joe. I just need to score two or three points, just to let you know I'm on the same type of time you on,
Starting point is 01:12:33 even though I didn't play your sport. That's not, that's not going to possible. We all know that you ain't going to beat me. And my point, my point exactly is that I can't let you score no bucket, bro. I'm sorry. I'm not going to be, I'm not going to let you score a bucket. Joe, you're not going to be able to stop me, Joe. and that's with all due respect
Starting point is 01:12:53 I'm a score a point two or maybe three Joe because I'm so good off the dribble Joe I know you one of the best I know you up for the Hall of Fame I didn't see your ISO game I didn't see you face a dude up and cook him and drop him like he tripped over his shoelace I didn't see it Joe I didn't see you back somebody down Joe in the paint huh
Starting point is 01:13:16 lean back on him and come back out and hit the Joe, I didn't see it. I didn't see you pull up, pop and shoot from three, Joe. I just, I know what you could do, Joe. I studied your game. I studied you, Joe. I know your movements. I know what you're going to do before you even do it, Joe.
Starting point is 01:13:34 I didn't did my homework. That's why I'm talking to you the way I'm doing. I'm talking to you crazy because I haven't studied you, Joe. And I'm ready. I'm ready for the test. Okay. I'm telling you, you hear my basketball talk. You hear my basketball knowledge.
Starting point is 01:13:47 I can't talk about the game, but I got to talk about what I can do to you. That's the difference. Yeah, okay. Okay. I love the passion that you come with, Ocho. You know, it's real cute and whatnot. But you ain't got a chance, brother. I'm gonna do this on here for the people, okay?
Starting point is 01:14:05 Hey, I'm gonna do this on here strictly for the people, man. Strictly for the people, yeah. So, you know, just let you know. Just let you know, bro. But I like the confidence, though. The confidence is top tier. Top ten. If y'all wasn't with us after the Big Three retired,
Starting point is 01:14:21 don't hop on the bad wagon now. It's been a long 12 years since we went honking. We deserve this. Hold on. Who is this? I guess they're talking about, oh, you're talking about the Spurs? Or you're talking about the heat?
Starting point is 01:14:36 And Tim and Tony. Oh, oh. All right, no. It's been longer than 12 years. It's been a minute. Yeah. Yeah, but you- They went to the,
Starting point is 01:14:49 uh, uh, yeah, but they went to the, they was in the, uh, Western Conference finals. It was that 20 KD's first year.
Starting point is 01:14:58 Oh, my bad. Oh, is it fair to say Wimby is the best player in the league already? No, it's not fair to say. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:15:12 I mean, you, you can say it, but I don't know, I, I, me, honestly,
Starting point is 01:15:18 healthy, I'm not taking them over Yonis right now, and I'm not taking them over Yonis right now, and I'm not taking them over Yoke right now. And I'm not taking them over with Shay right now. He need another couple years. Give him another couple of years. But it won't be long.
Starting point is 01:15:31 Nah. It won't be long. They got them black. Can we say happy birthday to my boo Kim? She's been a Bengals fan since I've known her, so go easy on her. Kim, happy birthday, but I don't know what you thinking. Right. You from Cincinnati or your dad or your brother played for the Bengals?
Starting point is 01:15:52 You ain't got no business to Root for them. Tripin. They didn't give you nothing to Root. for. Yeah, Kim, Tri, happy birthday, Kim. But happy birthday, Kim. Nonetheless, you deserve this your day,
Starting point is 01:16:02 so we're going to let you slide. We'll let it slide, Kim. Happy birthday. Hopefully you did something fun, you know. I hope you did something fun for Kim and get a new team. Right. That's what you should have got for a birthday.
Starting point is 01:16:17 Keonti Eel. What's up, Nightcap Group? Can I get a birthday shout out? Up from the 9-1-2 from Clash to Georgia, born and raised. Now is what I'm talking about, 9-1-2. Claxton, the fruit cake capital of the world. Claxton portrait plant.
Starting point is 01:16:31 That's what I'm talking about. 9-1-2. We're in the house. Sincid kid, what's up, nightcap, legends. Pick for sports rivalry, professional and collegiate to be on Mount Rushmore. For me, Duke, North Carolina, got to be. Gotta be, Ocho. Ohio State, Michigan.
Starting point is 01:17:01 Auburn, Alabama, and either Packers, Bears, or Raven Steelers. Mm-hmm. Good ones. What you got, Ocho? I'm trying to think. Hold on. We're talking NBA, too? Yeah, you can talk about anything.
Starting point is 01:17:37 Professional collegiate. Wait, give me, give me that question one more time. Where's your nightcap pick four sport rivalries, professional and college, to be on Mount Rushmore. Oh, Mount Rushmore, rivalries. That's the good one. Duke and it's NC right obviously yeah Tar Heel NFL NFL I'm gonna go damn what's the biggest rivalry especially right now um Pittsburgh Ravens Green Bay Green Bay Chicago Green Bay Chicago oh Cowboy Giants is it really a rivalry
Starting point is 01:18:13 since right now is damn their dominant no hey hey hey hey my bad my bad wait All right, yeah, Duke, Duke, Duke Carolina. I'm going to go Chicago, Green Bay. Nicks. Basketball, what, nicks and who?
Starting point is 01:18:29 Bulls. No, not no more. Would there even be a rival in today? Y'all talk of current rivals. You can pick any of, I mean, a lot of people, you know, I see the chat, they're talking about,
Starting point is 01:18:41 uh, Lakers and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and,
Starting point is 01:18:45 and, and, that hadn't, that hadn't popped off in since , uh, But it take you back to what you were what you were doing at that time when I was Young Joe baseball I'm gonna go Yankees red socks yeah oh whoa hold on I'm gonna add one more and I'm gonna take it to soccer me y'all might not know about it but I got like a
Starting point is 01:19:13 half and half Celtic versus Rangers or Boca juniors versus River and now some people in the chat will understand what I'm talking about when it comes the robberies man others not others might not what you got Joe I'm going Bulls, Knicks. That was a rival in the 90s, I'm going to my Cowboys and Giants. What other sports I got?
Starting point is 01:19:57 Baseball and what? You can pick any sport. I mean, you know, you got Federer in the doll, Federer Djokovitch and the dog. You got Alcarat's center. You got Chris
Starting point is 01:20:18 Everett and Martina I know it ain't supposed to be funny somebody in the chat to talk about US versus Iran Tyrone Reed said D. Fox
Starting point is 01:20:35 really holding it together he's the faster guy to lead with the ball in his hands that's a quick man yeah and when he plays well when he plays well
Starting point is 01:20:44 Uncle Honcho they are almost impossible to beat it's just a nice he don't play well. Yeah. Can't quit.
Starting point is 01:20:52 Go ahead, Joe. What do you want to say? No, I say he can't quit. He too much. T.S. Car Watch, detail service. How could I not the MVP discussion? Explain that.
Starting point is 01:21:02 You seen their record? How come who not MVP discussion? Kauai. Have you seen a record? He got some good. Hey, his numbers look good, but the team. success, they didn't get them far enough.
Starting point is 01:21:25 Almighty James, Ocho, do you value films or numbers more? Do you value film or numbers? Numbers only tell half the story. I prefer film. Even though so many people obviously rely on stats, you know, to use its preference or context
Starting point is 01:21:41 when talking about specific players, numbers don't tell the whole story. Film gives you everything you need to see. Everything you need to see. Absolutely. They feel them a lot more. Eric Jordan Scott, so let me get this straight. Ravens lose two,
Starting point is 01:21:58 lose twice to the Steelers this year, missed the playoffs, have multiple roster deficiencies, and they're trading away first round picks. Ravens are delusional organization. They feel that they still have quality office. Look, so that doesn't mean they can't have a draft. That doesn't mean, I mean, I mean,
Starting point is 01:22:18 basically, yeah, you got a first round pick, but your team is made. Look at all the picks that they've made. Okay, Lamar is the first round pick. Who's the other first round pick? Flowers, obviously. Derek Henry was the second round pick. You don't think you can find value in the second round?
Starting point is 01:22:38 The free agency, that don't mean they can't get anybody else in free agency. I still think they got some money. I still think they're going to restructure some contracts. It all depends on what's available. We'll start to know more. When does the league you start? Wednesday?
Starting point is 01:23:17 Okay. Yeah, Fras should start tomorrow. So we'll know. We'll see what's my. Yeah. Daniel Wells, I wish people who quit saying the vikes should bring back cousins. We've been down that road before and we know what his playoff ceiling is and it's very low. It's more than just about getting JJ his yard.
Starting point is 01:23:38 You're right. But if you bring him back, why are you worried about him starting if JJ is your guy? I mean, McCarthy, that is. If McCarthy is what you say, cousins shouldn't be able to beat him out. So you should be clear. You just got a solid backup on your roster. There you go. Unless you don't believe McCarthy is in.
Starting point is 01:24:03 Say it. Jay underscore Cool cat. What's up game? Hope y'all doing well. Right now who y'all take it? Yokic, Wemby, and why? Yok it. Even with the way Wemby's playing on?

Starting point is 01:32:03 this she's entitled to opinion i just happen to disagree with it i don't know what why people get so upset when you put something out. It's kind of like when you put something on social media and then when people comment on it, you get upset when you put it for public. Yeah, but everybody's not going to agree with you also. You're going to have some people that agree with you and you're going to have some people that are on your side. You know, they wouldn't say it publicly.
Starting point is 01:32:26 They might agree with you. But behind closed doors, like, come on there. Yeah. Come on, twin. Come on now. 828-28. Hey, Ocho, Clint, Carissa beat you. Me? Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:32:44 Yeah, she'll whip me, boy. She put hands on me, boy. You see, where? I don't want no smoke. Starting point is 01:33:11 Hey, Joe, listen, when she gets your ass in them deep waters, when she gets in them deep waters and you can't hold your hands up and your shoulders burning because you're not used to have your hands up to protect yourself, you're okay, all right. I know you, I know you think about, oh, it's a woman. Oh, I get in there. Nah, boy, it's a different ball game in that ring. I'm telling you.
Starting point is 01:33:30 Man, I ain't going. I mean, you an unc, aunt, may think she can whoop him, but now, I ain't going. I don't got a man. I'm a grader. All right. And hey, hey, hey, hey, beating the granddad, they ain't saying too much. Now, now, now I would say this. She called me in my Twitters and 30s.
Starting point is 01:33:51 We have a different conversation. Hey, Joe. Hey, well, that's, hey, Joe, it's different than that ring boy with them three minutes on. Boy, you put their head on in that big ring? I already know. Hey, look, I commend boxes, bro. But, you're trying to tell me she can, she can whoop my ass? Yeah.
