Good luck with that is a skateboarding podcast about the past, present, and future of women and gender expansive skateboarding. So listen to good luck with that on IHeart Radio app. Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Yeah. Johnny, we're going to get you out of this one. Oregon saves college football hopes escape Iowa on the last second field goal. Number nine, the Iowa Ducks took down the, who did the, Iowa,
Starting point is 00:02:14 1816 on Attica Sappington's 39-yard field goal with three seconds to remain. The Ducks leaned on their run game, which gassed Iowa for 26 yards on 36 carries. The special teams produced 12 points, including a safety after a bad snap by Iowa. it was raining the conditions weren't very good but organ found the way and that's what you have to do to keep your hopes alive you got to stay alive it's a surviving advance that's it's it and something no a surviving to get you beat too huh yeah surviving will get you beat too not not the normal organ we're used to seeing the way they perform today I don't know maybe the conditions maybe the temperature maybe the rain uh whatever may it be but again same thing with uh
Starting point is 00:02:59 with the, not vandy game, the LSU, LSU Alabama, LSU Alabama game. Same thing. Same thing. Sometimes, sometimes, sometimes you get a game, you play a team that is somewhat inferior,
Starting point is 00:03:13 and they just play well. They just play well that day. Any given Saturday, anything can happen. You know, I think for Oregon, obviously, you know, you look at the end of their schedule, they have USC coming up,
Starting point is 00:03:26 and then they finish with Washington. So two ranked games. You know, they're not breezing their way into this college football playoff. They're definitely going to have to come out the next couple of Saturdays and earn it for sure. Yep. This is one of those ones where you're like, okay, we got out of there next. Like, let's go get ready for SC. We've seen what they are.
Starting point is 00:03:44 We've seen their games on tape. We feel like we can beat them. We go. So, you know, they should beat the next two teams they have, but it's nothing. It's not a layup. It's not guaranteed. It's not, you know, they're going to have to go out and fight for it. to be honest, I don't really know what stands out
Starting point is 00:04:00 on this Oregon team, to be honest. I think the quarterback at time shows flashes. I think their defense at times shows flashes. But like, I don't think you look at it and say this is one of the best or better Oregon teams of the past decade or so. So it's like what do they do well, you know, kind of type of thing.
Starting point is 00:04:17 But they're going to be in. They're in the conversation. They're in the mix. We'll be talking about them a lot for the next two, three weeks. If they take care of business. Yep. Hey, make sure you guys go check. and subscribe to Johnny Mansell's podcast, Glory Days on all platforms.
Starting point is 00:04:31 Johnny, thank you for joining us. We'll see you next week, man. Have a good one. Hey, head back out and, you know, have a drink for me. Me, no, but I'm much love. I appreciate you guys. See you next week. All righty.
Starting point is 00:04:43 Miami used some trick plays on show today to roll to a 3810 win over Syracuse. Carson Beck threw for a touchdown, caught a scoring pass and a clip 10,000 yards passing to mark in his college career. The Hurricanes put it on each of the. the first four drive, then scored on each of the next four. Miami had no points on his first 22 plays, then 22 points on its next 22 plays. That's the thing that's so frustrating about,
Starting point is 00:05:09 about Miami. Yeah. Because, like, you could see like, like, damn, man, they're just moving the ball up and down the field. Yeah. And then the next game, be like, have y'all ever, have y'all practiced, have you watch tape? I mean, what is going on?
Starting point is 00:05:23 I have no idea. with the talent that UM has right now with the money that they're paying Carson Beck I mean things should be very smooth week in week out and obviously it's not that some of the games they've lost I'm like what the hell is going on
Starting point is 00:05:38 and then Beck throwing the interceptors that he throws and I think about the talent he has around him is good enough to even on a bad night if he has a bad night the talent around him should be able to over overshadow his bad play and that
Starting point is 00:05:54 That just hadn't been the case. The players are good. The skill position players are good, but they're not as good as what they used to be. It's not some of the Hall of Famers that came through there, but they are some. This is different. They're not the Keynes of the 80s.
Starting point is 00:06:10 They're not the canes of the 2000. That's not what they have. This is a different time. This is a different era. They got good players. Very, very good. I mean, you look at what they had. They don't have no Ed Reeds,
Starting point is 00:06:21 no Sean Taylor's, no Ray Lewis's. That's different. Ron Browns, no, no, no, San Antonio Moss, no Michael Irvin, Brett Perryman. They don't have that. That's not, that's, that's not what they have. They have good, you know, Vinny wasn't the Hinesman. Bernie was the number one picking the supplemental draft. That's not what they have.
Starting point is 00:06:40 And it's okay. Most teams don't have what they once had. But this is a good team, and I feel they've lost some games that they definitely should not have lost. Because their quarterback has turned the ball over at the most inoper time. most inopportune times, too many times. Yes. You can't throw four picks and hope you overcome it. No.
Starting point is 00:07:03 For one, you don't have the defense to overcome it. No. And the offense is too inconsistent for you overcome, you know, throwing four goddamn picks. No, that's not happening. I mean, they beat Notre Dame, beat South Florida. They beat Florida.
Starting point is 00:07:19 They beat Florida State. Then you lose the Louisville with the four interceptions. you lose the SMU, you beat Syracuse, now you go at NC State, no, you home to NC State, you're at Virginia Tech, and you're at 24 Pitt. So we'll see, you know,
Starting point is 00:07:37 there's still a lot to play for. They could get to, they could get to 10 and 2 and just let the chips fall where they make. Because somebody above them is going to lose and they'll get an opportunity to rise, but they gagged some games. You can't lose at home to Louisville.
Starting point is 00:07:53 I understand Louisville is a good team, but. Hey, Un, Louisville, good, aunt. Did they beat Cal tonight, or did they, did the Cal beat them? Didn't they play Cal? Yeah, Louisville wasn't, lose the Cal? I doubt it. Listen, I can't even see the scoreboard. I can't even see the score, and I know goddamn well that, that didn't happen.
Starting point is 00:08:14 No disrespect to Cal, but, hey, Louisville. Cal beat Louisville, 29, 26. You serious? You want to say that again? I beg your part. Pardon you serious I beg your pardon you serious are you playing 29 26 cow number beat number 15 Louisville hey I don't want I don't understand college football yeah I don't I don't understand college football and Cal beat them in
Starting point is 00:08:40 Louisville but you took about a all about an off night that's an off night that's an off night look at me put my foot in my mouth without I mean you don't expect Louisville to lose especially not with the way they look against you and you go out and you're playing and you lose to a cow yeah well god damn yeah oh man oh okay oh okay here you joining us now ocho today's game against syracuse he had four tackles a sack and a half and a fourth fumble here you six year red shirt senior i can't Keem Methodore. Keem, what's going on, bro?
Starting point is 00:09:28 I think you're on mute. We got it. There you go. Yeah, yeah, we got you. How y'all doing? What's out? We're great, man. Thanks for joining us.
Starting point is 00:09:38 Of course. Thank you for having me. Go ahead, Ocho. Now we're going to say, man, what's good? How's everything? Everything's going well. Coming off from W. Just enjoying the rest of football tonight and heading to sleep.
Starting point is 00:09:51 Well, hello, you, you, you, hold on. Oh, time about y'all win 3018. You get four tackles, second and half a fourth fumble, and you're in your room, door room? Yeah, I'm in my apartment. In the Miami? I'm really about to go to sleep soon, yeah. You're going to go to sleep?
Starting point is 00:10:07 Yeah. Hold on, you down the street from me and the Gables? Yeah, right here. Man, I'm man. Hey, I'm going to come pick you up after the show, man. We're feeling to go hit booby trap, man. Nah, not me. Not me.
Starting point is 00:10:19 so look we were just discussing a little earlier yeah um you had a couple of setbacks you lose the Louisville you uh lost in overtime to a SMU and you guys bounced back tell me what the mindset was today coming in playing uh you know Syracuse team that's on a little hard times but you want to make sure they don't get on good times against us yeah well we established an identity at the beginning of the season starting off strong really and then we kind of we kind of steered away from that during SMU and Louisville. So just throughout the week, really, the mindset was get back, like, get that identity back, work through it, work hard every day, and then do the same in the game and just
Starting point is 00:11:00 get that, get our swagger back. So Mel Kuiper has you very high on his draft board. So when you came into the season, what was your goals? What were your expectations coming in for your final season at the youth? Really just want to put on tape that I can ball, really just, that's it. Yeah. And the funny thing about putting it on tape, showing that you can ball. It's about not only balling, you know, it's about doing it consistently, week to week.
Starting point is 00:11:31 It's about doing it regards to who you're playing, especially against those that are also ranked high that you're probably going to have to see Sunday because, you know, obviously, once you get to that next level, the level of play rises, you know, the players you play week to week. So, you know, being able to show that, that's one of the reasons, you know, I've watched you. That's one of the reasons you are ranked so high on Mel Kuyper's board. So, for one, congratulations of that. And these next three, these next three, you get to, you get to finish it off and put, put the exclamation point on everything. Absolutely. Help me out with this.
Starting point is 00:12:07 From Canada to Miami, Canada, Miami. Canada, Miami. How did this happen? Well, I love football. I started when I was young, played all my life really. And somebody, like a mentor of mine, approached me one day. And he just explained to me how football is more serious down in the States. You know, you can go to school for free.
Starting point is 00:12:33 You can make a living out of this for real down in the States. So he just put me on to college football. And then I wanted to do multiple different schools, ended up finishing my senior in Florida and then recruitment blew up and I was able to go to, I was able to come play D1 football. So you're like, hold on, wait a minute. You mean to tell me I can go to school for free, get a college education, if I'm good enough, I might eventually get paid millions and millions of dollars to do this?
Starting point is 00:13:05 What I sign up at? What I need to do? Basically. Yeah. Hey, what part of Canada? Ottawa, Ontario. Oh, yeah, Ottawa. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:13:16 You know, I played, I played in Montreal for one year. That was fun. Canada is a beautiful place. The people are very, very, very nice. That's, that was one of the best places I ever had to visit. So it's really dope. Has American football been everything you thought it would be? Because I know, we heard you say your mentor told you about American football
Starting point is 00:13:34 and how they take it serious. And not to say you guys, but, you know, you guys are, Canada is more known for hockey. That's what you guys are known for hockey. in the USA will football. And they take it serious. College football is taking serious. NFL football is taking even more serious.
Starting point is 00:13:53 So has it been everything you thought it would be? Has it been harder? Has it been easier? Or has it been exactly what you thought it would be? Well, growing up, the narrative was, you know, Americans, they don't play with it. They'll eat your breakfast. You know, just, I'll be here.
Starting point is 00:14:10 And then, so that was. my expectation the whole time. I finally got here and it was just football as football at the end of the day. Yep. Really felt the same. So it wasn't really a, a culture shock or anything for me. It's ball as ball. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:26 And you're like, you know what? I just whipped this American's ass. So I, yeah, I guess I'm pretty good too. Y'all had this all hyped up and I'm whipping left and right. Yeah. Okay. So what do you, what do you imagine? I'm assuming you have your degree by now.
Starting point is 00:14:44 What did you major in? So I graduated with an American Studies major, and then now I'm getting my master's in liberal arts. Okay. Hold on. What's American studies? Is it history? I mean, what do we study in America?
Starting point is 00:15:02 It's really everything. I don't know. In other words, you major in the eligibility. Let me get me something that I can stay eligible to play on this football team. Because my goal is to go play in the NFL. I get it. I get it to keep.
Starting point is 00:15:15 Okay. You got that. Man, you say, look here. I ain't come here to be, I ain't get no chemistry degree. I ain't been to do no finance, no econ. I need something like to stay eligible and stay on this field. No engineering.
Starting point is 00:15:30 I ain't, listen, I ain't trying to, I ain't trying to do none of that. I'm trying to get to that next stage. Yeah, I've got to get to the bag. Yeah. So you come from a big family. You got, you know, brothers, siblings. Yeah, I have, um, I've about 10 siblings. Damn!
Starting point is 00:15:48 Well, you're probably the peck in order. I like that. I was the youngest, but now I'm the second youngest. Okay. Hold on. Don't you be you, you, so I'm assuming you're probably like 24, 25? 24. Okay, you're 24.
Starting point is 00:16:03 So how old is the oldest? Uh, 33. Okay. What? It's on mom and dad's side. So my pops My pops has Nah
Starting point is 00:16:16 My pop I don't know My pops is hell of kids But It's fine Wait You say pops have Hella kid
Starting point is 00:16:24 You think He got more kids And I do? I don't know How many do you have 13 No Nah
Starting point is 00:16:30 No You can not You know all the way Okay Okay I only have eight I don't have eight But I mean
Starting point is 00:16:36 That's that's normal So you So how The youngest You got one younger to you so how old is he now she is she's seven now hey yeah so 33 to seven that's that's a that's a big that's a big gap it is hey oh that's that's that's a sign too you know that huh what's a sign you heard me aunt a sign of what i don't know maybe maybe maybe maybe next year after we jump
Starting point is 00:17:06 to broom and we get married it's about maybe we both have kids who me and you but man I'm just saying what I look like having a kid in 58 or Joe I mean there's nothing wrong
Starting point is 00:17:18 with that you still you well you still work don't you yeah I still work okay oh yeah my plumbing works
Starting point is 00:17:24 now yeah they clogged yeah but I but I I'm just saying I think like
Starting point is 00:17:31 it's like it's like it's like like starting over refreshing having something to live for this man
Starting point is 00:17:38 hi Keen Hey That's y'all's business If I Catch if I was a Keem's age once again 24 Right right right
Starting point is 00:17:47 Yeah But listen Did you hear what you just said If I was a keen age But Going out on the limb And we're doing that again Will make you feel 24

Starting point is 00:18:38 Ocho said, what's up, man. Men, many, it's possible. We go way back in the, way back down there in the County, Dade County, man. All right, I'll tell them wrong. All right. Appreciate you, man. Appreciate you guys.
Starting point is 00:18:49 Thank you. Ocho, you're out your mind, man. No, I think, I think it's a good idea. I mean, listen, I mean, in the Bible, it says be fruitful and multiply. It had nothing to do with age. There was no age on that, on that verse. And I just think, for me, it did something to me, you know? it made it made me feel young again like french french fries here with me now you know what it's like
Starting point is 00:19:13 you know what it's like having to run run around after her at three years old it just that what you say the bible saying be fruitful and multiply yeah ain't that what the same proverbs two seven saying hey in this economy be broke and die so no man you say i didn't cut to all this stuff I'm no bad. I ain't fooling with you bad. Baby! Oh, let me see with my baby. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:19:44 Man, please, Ocho. You're trying to, just bad. Chat, y'all be Ocho crazy. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, man. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:20:06 Arizona's getting a little cloudy on Cho, following a week in which he's placed on injured reserve, and Gannon said he'd be benched for... The forces shaping the world's economies and financial markets can be hard to spot. Even though they are such a powerful player in finance, you wouldn't really know that you are interacting with them. And even harder to understand. Donald Trump's trade war, 2.0, is only accelerating the process of de-dollarization, which in a way is jargon for people turning away from the dollar. That is where the big take from Bloomberg podcast comes in to connect the dots.
Starting point is 00:20:40 How unusual is a deal like this? Unprecedented. Every weekday afternoon, we dive deep into one big global business story. The biggest story of the reaction of the oil market to the conflict in the Middle East is one of what has not happened. Katie, you told me that ETFs are your favorite thing. They are. Explain that. Why is that the case?
Starting point is 00:21:01 And unpack what it means for you. Our breakfast foods are consistent consumer statements. and so they sort of become outsize indicators of inflation. Listen to the big take from Bloomberg News every weekday afternoon on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. To beat the champ, you got to knock him out. The Dodgers stand tall and went back-to-back titles. I'm Richard Parks III.

The Chiefs come on a flip past to Rice. This side, touchdown. Remindery Stevens is my sleeper this week. This is a
Starting point is 00:22:31 matchup where I think I can slide in Stevens into my flex position and he could deliver double digit points this week. Drake takes the snap. Hands it off. We're moderating running it right and we're running into the end zone. Touchdown. It's never too late to turn your fantasy season around. Subscribe to the NFL fantasy football podcast on the iHeart radio app, Apple podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, what's up everybody? Daniel Jeremiah here. And I'm Bucky Brooks. Then Rhett Lewis joins us for our rookie draft and coordinator of the week, where we highlight the rising stars and the masterminds calling the shots. DJ talked me into Arronday Gadsden Jr. He had a monster game. A monster game. And you hear from the voices who actually build the game.

Starting point is 00:23:52 If one of us wins, we all win. I'm Ashley Reifeld, and I'm the host of the women's skateboarding podcast. Good luck with that. Good luck with that is a skateboarding podcast that is part cultural record, part news brief, mostly group therapy, and a place to talk about.
Starting point is 00:24:06 the past, present, and future of women and gender expansive skateboarding. This week, me and my co-host, Nora Vascenzelos and Alex White, we have Fabiana Delfino on the show, a professional skateboarder from Florida, whose grit was forged in a family of athletes. Tune in to hear how she broke into the boys' club, what it takes to be pro, and why just being grateful you're here shouldn't be the price of entry. Maybe the industry thinks that we just started skating five years ago,
Starting point is 00:24:31 because that's when they maybe started paying attention. It's a no-fluff conversation about putting in the year, stacking clips and receipts and still having to prove your worth while the industry catches up. You break down the door, sick, now like, hold the door for everyone. We created good luck with that
Starting point is 00:24:46 because we want to share our experience of existing in an industry that wasn't always built for everyone. So listen to good luck with that on IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Jacoba Bresset, if healthy anyway, which I said,
Starting point is 00:24:59 the Cardinals have some big decisions of head of them. Shepter, Adam Shepter, reported that many of his sources around the NFL believe the Cardinals and Murray will part ways in the offseason. One source in particular said the separation is imminent, which means unabortable. Kala has two seasons left on a five-year, $230 million contract that he signed in 2022. He's currently slated to count $53.3 million against the salary cap next season,
Starting point is 00:25:28 and $43.5 million against the cap in 27. The Cardinals would take a $57.7 million, a dead cap money. And next year, if Murray is cut before June 1st, if he's cut after June, excuse me, if he's cut after June 1st, it was split to $50,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, and 7.2 million in 27. If Arizona can't find a trade partner before June 1st, the Cardinals will save about 35.3 million towards the cap next season. Oh, Cho, if you were the Cardinals.
Starting point is 00:26:04 I got to catch my breath. If you're the Cardinals, what are you going to do with Kyle or Murray? This is a very good one. This is a very good one. The fact that they continue to sideline him because Jacoby Brissette has a hot hand and has him playing extremely well.
Starting point is 00:26:23 And the money that he makes, listen, I understand what Kylie Murray brings to the table. I understand what he brings. He's a dual threat. He can throw. He can extend plays. He's really good. at some of the things he does,
Starting point is 00:26:36 but there are things that Jacoby Brissette brings to the table with his lack of ability to run with the ball, but he's able to throw, make all the throws because he can see. He attacks the middle of the field, something that Kyle Murray is not good at because it's hard for him to see.
Starting point is 00:26:57 He's always having to, you know, his ability to be able to just drop back and makes him a throw that Jacobi can in the middle of the field. So it's just, it's just different. But again, he can make, he can make plays. He can make plays. He's good.
Starting point is 00:27:11 He's good at what he does, but it's not enough. I mean, have you seen how the offense looks on? Yes, I've seen it. Oh, Joe, you remember when they played, they beat the Cowboys? I said, hey, Kyle, take another week. As a matter of fact, take another two or three weeks. Yeah. I said that in Jess, but I was being dead serious.
Starting point is 00:27:28 Because the offense had no point in time with Kyler. Excuse me. At no point in time did this offense this year with Kyla look like it did on Monday night against the Cowboys. No, no, no, no. But this is a scary thing, wrong? We talked about Jacob Rosset. Are you trying to say he's the quarterback for the foreseeable future? No, no.
Starting point is 00:27:48 He's, he, Ocho, they told you everything you needed to know when they put that clause in his contract. Right, right. Yeah, I understand that about the playing of video games. Yeah, absolutely. Yes. Yeah. I mean, but, but where do you go now? And so you just start over.
Starting point is 00:28:05 Ocho, how many division titles you won? How many playoff games you've won with Caler? You can win that many, you can win that many without him. Yeah, this has been a minute with his current one. Does he make you,
Starting point is 00:28:18 DeMich, Ocho, think about what you just said. The number one pick of the draft. The coach said if he was healthy, he still wouldn't be starting. Damn. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let me ask you a question.
Starting point is 00:28:30 Joe Burrell come back healthy. Is Flacco still playing? absolutely not thank you oh whoa that that's a that's the eight that's apples and orange now but look at the thing you look Miami look Miami might be in the business for a quarterback New Orleans damn showing the business for a quarterback the Raiders need a damn quarterback Cleveland possibly need a court I look there are going to be places he's going to be able to go the Jets so it's not like he's not going to be able to find a home yeah okay it got to be the right
Starting point is 00:29:03 fit on it it has to be the right fit for the type of quarterback he is yeah you have to build a system around him mocho yeah and most quarterbacks most quarterbacks have a system built around him right well the system was built around him yes the system was built around him and you got the weapons you mama had my man i don't i don't know hey a mike bride ohcho but i told people ohcho perfect he's small not just in height but it's like wait yeah yeah Yeah, he's compact. You see him in person? You keep taking those heads like that, man.
Starting point is 00:29:37 You ever seen him in person? Yes. Hey, that's my dog. He's little, though. Yes. Hey, he little. Make a play some ball, though, man. He's exciting.
Starting point is 00:29:50 He's exciting. You know, when put in the right position to make plays, he can do it. He just hasn't been able to do it consistent enough. And we're able to do it consistent enough. It makes everything, everyone around you better. It makes your team. better it gives you a chance and it just it just hasn't been what they thought it would he just need to leave he he needs to go somewhere else you know maybe maybe maybe uh it's a situation where
Starting point is 00:30:15 they're tired of him he's tired of them it just need a clean break he just needs a clean break he's his own he's his own guy you know he has a he has a personality that's kind of look different he wants to do things his way he don't want to you know hey that's how he did it that's how he did this is how I'm going to do it I saw this coming and I'm not I'm not surprised I'm not surprised Do you think about him going back to baseball?
Starting point is 00:30:44 No, not being away from it this long You got to go back to the Why would I go back to the baseball Go back to the minor leagues and make $1,200 a month? Hell to the knob Somebody going to pay in $35, $40 million to be the quarterback in the NFL Damn.
Starting point is 00:31:04 So he, okay. I mean, just because he's not starting in Arizona. Right. That doesn't mean he's not. Oh, Joe, you mean to tell me he can't play for New Orleans. He can't play for the Raiders. He's better than what they got at the Raiders. He's better than what they got at New Orleans.
Starting point is 00:31:22 Is he better than what they got at the Jets? Yes or no? situation matters on it does what would you what you have around you is very very important very important i don't care what situation is he better than what they got in new orleans and he's better what they got at the raiders yeah and he's better what they got in the jets he is he just is um i don't know about anything else hell i'm tempted to say he's better what they got in Cleveland. You don't think, oh,
Starting point is 00:32:01 Chad, y'all don't think he better than Dylan Gabriel? So y'all said he ain't better than Justin Fields. He's not better than Spencer Rallah, what's a, Tyler Shuck? He's not better than Shook. And he's not better than Pickett and Gino.
Starting point is 00:32:18 Okay. Hmm. Okay. y'all don't think y'all don't y'all don't so somebody say he ain't better than what they got in New Orleans he ain't better than Spencer Rattler or Tyler Shook okay I'm reading my chat going fast
Starting point is 00:32:40 god damn I'm trying to read it hey somebody said I'm so unprofessional I was never professional in the first place somebody talking about I'll take Rattle over him I'm not going to lie you lie they lie they're lying they definitely lying I get it. The man is down now, but y'all not taking no Spencer Rattler or no Tyler Shook over no, over no, uh, Kyle Murray. You're not. So stop it.
Starting point is 00:33:09 The forces shaping the world's economies and financial markets can be hard to spot. Even though they are such a powerful player in finance, you wouldn't really know that you are interacting with them. And even harder to understand. Donald Trump's trade war, 2.0, is over. only accelerating the process of de-dollarization, which in a way is jargon for people turning away from the dollar. That is where the big take from Bloomberg podcast comes in, to connect the dots. How unusual is a deal like this? Unprecedented.

The biggest story of the reaction of the oil market to the conflict in the Middle East is one of what has not happened. Katie, you told me that ETFs are your favorite thing. They are. Explain that. Why is that the case? And unpack what it means for you. Our breakfast foods are consistent consumer staples,

I just want to remind everyone how good Rishie Rice was last season. And these three healthy games, he was the wide receiver two in fantasy. I think Rishie Rice just goes off this week. The Chiefs come on a flip pass to Rice. This side, touchdown! Remandry Stevens is my sleeper this week. This is a match-out where I think I can slide in Stevenson
Starting point is 00:35:31 into my flex position, and he could deliver double-digit points this week. Drake takes the snap, hands it off. Remodry running it right, and running into the end zone. Touchdown! It's never too late to turn your fantasy season around. Subscribe to the NFL Fantasy Football Podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. Maybe the industry thinks that we just started skating five years ago because that's when they maybe started paying attention. It's a no-fluff conversation about putting in the years,
Starting point is 00:37:33 stacking clips and receipts, and still having to prove your worth while the industry catches up. You break down the door, sick now, like, hold the door for everyone. We created good luck with that because we want to share our experience of existing in the industry that wasn't always built for everyone. So listen to good luck with that on IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:37:54 Jane Daniels won't be placed on IR, but there are reportedly wide range of outcomes for when he could return to the field. According to Jeremy Filer, the commanders are really playing this by ear. So this is actually a pretty complicated cause because I'm told Daniels could potentially be back in three weeks. I said two to four weeks.
Starting point is 00:38:13 Anyway, after three weeks on that elbow, issue, not going to need surgery. Most time, unless something is really, really wrong, they're not doing surgery on the dislocated elbow. They're not putting on injury reserve right now, but talking to the team, people have a player could return in about five to six weeks. Things here really fast,
Starting point is 00:38:32 depending on when they rebuild it around the by week in about two and a half, three weeks. If they're sitting at three and eight, this could certainly be a factor here. And so they're really playing this one by ear. Yeah, I think it's like I said, I don't, like I said, I don't know all I can say is based on my and I had to do this all to you think about I got to have to block with it right he ain't got to block with that and it's on it's on his non throwing yeah but but the cautious thing that the one thing that scares me on even though it's on this non throwing arm there wasn't any ligament damage let's say he sits out two three weeks if their record is no is it doesn't improve it's not better rushing it back no it's no point in rushing back it's no point in rushing back and I think this would probably be his last game played this season to this.
Starting point is 00:39:15 There's really nothing to play for at that point. You're out the playoffs. No need to risk any further injury or re-injuring or getting yourself hurt, you know, at that point. And you just, you pray yourself for next season. That's just me. Now, the commanders might feel differently. Being the competitor that I know Jay and Daniels is, he might feel differently. Regardless to what our record is, I want to get out there and play.
Starting point is 00:39:38 But, hey, I don't think, I don't think you should chance, especially if there's no chance at making the playoffs. I agree. I say the same thing about your quarterback in Cincinnati. Why, why you keep bringing up with Bengals? God, if there ain't no chance to go, while we're bringing Joe back for us. Yeah, he wouldn't come back anyway, though. If we don't have a chance, he wouldn't be coming back.
Starting point is 00:40:00 But the fact that we have Flacco and Flacco's playing the way he's playing, we probably will be in the playoffs. We're probably going to win in the vision. Oh, y'all are the buy week. Oh, yeah, y'all just gave, y'all about to give up 42. Hey, hey. Nobody give up 42. We will see who we will.
Starting point is 00:40:15 Y'all they're going to be, y'all not going to, y'all not going to beat the Steelers. Y'all not going to beat what you call them again. Hold on. You mean the same Steelers? You mean the same Steelers? You mean the same Steelers we beat Sunday night or Sunday night? That same Steelers? You're not going to do it again, though.
Starting point is 00:40:29 Okay. Not going to happen. Not going to happen. Okay. Definitely not going to beat Lamar and the Ravens. How you know? Y'all couldn't beat them when they had Lamar. And you had Joe.
Starting point is 00:40:44 You just listen, it's the NFL on it's Sunday. Any given Sunday. Ain't no telling what's going to happen. So it don't matter when y'all play. You're right. Any given Sunday, Saturday or Thursday, y'all can lose. Okay. You do most of the time.
Starting point is 00:40:57 All right. Keep that same energy. Got it. Keep that same energy. Oh, Jolie. What's along, man? Hey, I'm good. I'm good.
Starting point is 00:41:08 I'm good. Let me see. I saw how the Ravens look coming out in the back. I saw how the Ravens. The Ravens look good coming out at the back. Lamar Jackson back from injury after two, three weeks down, came out on fire. So how do you think we're going to come out of Dubai? How do you think Flacco and Uno and Chase and Chase Brown?
Starting point is 00:41:25 How do you think we're going to look coming out of the back? The defense is going to be, the defense is going to improve exponentially. That's a big word for me. Exponentially. I can't even spell that, but I can say. Yeah, I know. But guess what, Ocho, I watch, go back and look at it. Go back and look at Chicago's movie, y'all guys.
Starting point is 00:41:43 out the ball. Oh, yeah. Yeah, up front. Yeah, yeah. The game, the game is one and lost in it up front. It's one in the trenches. Oh, ooh.
Starting point is 00:41:54 That was ugly, that was ugly. It was. Darwin Ham said the Lakers had to put their roster, had to gut their roster for Russell Westbrook, and that's hard to compete with so many level, so many lower level
Starting point is 00:42:09 role players. But in terms of Russ, man, you know, it was a difficult situation Because to get a player like that, you pretty much have to gut your team, and that's essentially what happened. In order to get Russ on the Lakers, they had to part ways with Caruso, KCP, Kyle Kuzman, and a lot of other players they weren't able to keep because the money wasn't there. Now you've got essentially three max, supermax players on your roster. And you know, now you've got to go out the lower level players, who God bless them,
Starting point is 00:42:36 they're capable players, but to be elite and win a championship in our league, you have to be elite and have elite groups. Now, a lot of times that financial constraints just won't allow you to do that. Yeah, I just came to understanding that. I just came to having a better understanding of that, especially when it comes to basketball, how you bench, you know, having a deep bench and being able to have some of your starter sit down and still not miss a beat. It's still not miss any momentum, you know, when they're not in the game.
Starting point is 00:43:07 I think about the bench, Oklahoma City Thunder, Unk. they have an unbelievable bench if if i'm not if i'm not if i'm not mistaken they might have the best bench in the league i yes correct me if i'm wrong they do yeah and i mean like so i i understand and i didn't view it like that i didn't understand it i didn't i didn't understand why people were complaining about getting westbrook you know i'm thinking oh hell they they they're going to run the table oh it's going to be crazy and then damn the bench is horrible the supporting cast wasn't good enough to carry the load when all the starters weren't in or you always had to keep one of said top three players in the game at at at some point
Starting point is 00:43:51 I didn't know that I forgot nobody that much nobody thought Russ would work with LeBron in L.A. except the Lakers you won't find one player in order for Russ to work Russ needs the ball and you need to build the ball, the team around him. This is not to take anything away from Russ. Russ is a top 75 player all time. He's an MVP, a two-time all-star, all-NBA, but he wasn't good with the Lakers.
Starting point is 00:44:26 And it's okay to say that. Yeah. Him and Braun just wasn't going to work because neither one is really, LeBron was better off the ball than Russ. Russ is not a catch and shoot guy. And so when you need with LeBron, LeBron was going to be the primary ball handler.
Starting point is 00:44:45 You need somebody that can catch and shoot. That's why he would have been so, that's why Clay Thompson would have been great. That's why when you see him play with Steph, they're so great. Because those guys can catch and shoot. That's not what Russ is. Right.
Starting point is 00:44:58 Russ is a guy that needs the ball, and he needs to be able to get downhill. Well, if LeBron's got the ball high, he's going to get downhill. It's okay, chat. This is not a knock on Russ. And then when you say this, this is not taking away
Starting point is 00:45:11 anything that he's ever accomplished. He wasn't good with the Lakers. Y'all know that. But I guess because he's from L.A. and he does great in the community. And he is a solid teammate. Yeah. Nobody has anything bad to say about Russ.
Starting point is 00:45:27 He just wasn't good with the Lakers. It's okay. You see, when he was in, in, in, and, in, uh, okay C epic, uh, uh, KD left. Yeah. They built the team around him. That's what you need. It's okay.
Starting point is 00:45:46 Darwin and please stop talking about it. Bro, you had, whatever, for whatever reason, it didn't work. It didn't work with you. It didn't work with Russ. It didn't, it didn't work. It's okay. It's okay to move on. Yeah, somebody, somebody probably asking the question.
Starting point is 00:46:01 Yeah, but, but, but, but, but, but just like, hey, guys, look. I enjoy my time there. I understood the assignment. When you got a team and you got LeBron James and you got Anthony Davis, no matter who else expect, no matter who else is on that team, championships is what expected.
Starting point is 00:46:19 I don't get why they did. I don't get why they broke that team up, why they wouldn't resign Caruso, where they left all their perimeter defenders, they let that go. It's the same thing now. The Lakers are not a good defensive team. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:34 They're not, but we got to stop this notion. And it's not bagging on Russ. But Russ needs a system that's conducive for him. And that's okay. It's just, man, they just. He having a good time over there in Sacramento now. Yes. But they're not going to win.
Starting point is 00:47:00 Sacramento have no championship aspirations? No. He's not winning no championship. And it's okay. It's okay. Got me think about my times, man. Huh? Russ, look, Russ played,
Starting point is 00:47:19 Russ, look, that one thing you can say about Russ, he's not going to cheat you with effort. He's going to give you everything he got. He's going to play hurt. He's going to play hard. But this notion that, Russ bawled out in L.A. He didn't.
Starting point is 00:47:39 It just, the pieces didn't fit, the pieces just didn't fit. Right. Him and LeBron was never going to work. The only people that thought it was going to work was probably Polinka and LeBron. Or,
Starting point is 00:47:52 because I'm sure LeBron had something to do with this. Right. He did. He did. But it just, it didn't work. It's not. not the first time that's not the first situation that's been in the NBA and it didn't work right
Starting point is 00:48:09 and that's okay it's not the last situation that that won't work but darbin needs to move on with this man it's just damn i don't i don't know what he what he hopes to accomplish by revisiting this as ga said he wasn't a fan of how the thunder won the title honestly speaking i didn't like the way we won the title, if that makes sense. I don't think we won an NBA championship playing our best basketball. We were definitely more dominant in the regular season than the postseason. And for me as well, as a player, I don't think that was good in the postseason as I am in the regular season as I was in the regular season.
Starting point is 00:48:49 I mean, the game is different in the post season too, huh? It is. It slows down. They don't let you get up and down. Yeah, they don't. You play better teams in a series. It's not, you know, they get seven games to try to figure you out. It's not like, okay, you play Sacramento.
Starting point is 00:49:02 Then you're on the San Antonio. Then you got the Clippers. Okay, guess what? We got a home. We got a back to back. We got the clippers one night. We got the Lakers the next night. No, you got that one opponent.
Starting point is 00:49:11 And you got to, you know. Because they went seven games with the Nuggets. They went seven games with the Pacers. Yeah. And Aaron Gordon. If Aaron Gordon doesn't hurt his hamstring in that game, what happens? It changes everything.
Starting point is 00:49:25 Okay. If Halliburton doesn't tear the key leads in games in game seven, what happens? So I get it. Yeah. They look. Right now they're doing, I think they lost one game, and they're doing this without J-dub. So I like his mentality.
Starting point is 00:49:41 I like his mindset. It's like I want to be dominant. I want to be dominant in the postseason like I was in the regular season. Even though there was spurs that he was sensational, but they won. And that's what you need. You need your best player to say, you know what? I ain't satisfied. And I don't want anybody else to get satisfied.
Starting point is 00:49:57 I don't want anybody else to get comfortable. Yeah, we won a championship, but I ain't here just to win one. Multiple. Multiple, multiple. And now they got Hartinstein had 33 and 19 last night. Well, if you're getting 33 and 19 from Hartinstein, you're not beating them. Hey, you're not beating him. Hartstein is the center. He's the five, right?
Starting point is 00:50:20 Yeah. That's crazy, man. J-Dub hadn't played yet. And when J-Dub does play, he the foe, right? J-Dub is a two. That's tall? Mm-hmm. Him and look.
Starting point is 00:50:37 I mean, Lou Dort is like really the two, but he's really a two. He played a small forward. Oh, okay. Because they go Hardinstein, they go Chet, they go J-Dubb,
Starting point is 00:50:45 they go Lou Dort, they go Shay. Eat him, ate him, oh, what, in person, but them boy is so tall, man. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:53 God damn. Yeah. But, uh, I like, I like Shay's mentality. I like his attitude. I like the fact that, like, yeah,
Starting point is 00:51:01 we won. but I ain't happy how we won. No. Man, I should have been a Hooper, man. An anonymous scout, Ochoa, Anonymous Scout says lamello ball doesn't take basketball seriously. Yes, he's talented, but he doesn't take basketball serious enough. Another West Scott said it's hard to build a winner with him
Starting point is 00:51:21 because of how he plays and the liberties he takes for himself when he plays. So if he cut. I don't know because he plays the game with Flair. He plays the game a little bit more free than others. Tell me the person that's in the history of the game that's what played with Flair and won. Jordan? Magic.
Starting point is 00:51:49 Jordan, Magic. Kobe. That stuff that he's doing and they didn't play like that. No, you look at it elevating above the rim. Now magic with the passes and stuff like that, but they didn't play like that. I mean, he tried all kind of stuff on. the court.
Starting point is 00:52:03 Step back shooting 32 footers. Oh, but they'd be going in, huh? Hey, they'd be going in. Hey, he'd be going. Hey, listen, he's exciting to watch. He's exciting to watch. Now, his style of play might not be that of what NBA scouts would like, you know, from their point guard or from the person that's handling the ball.
Starting point is 00:52:23 But I tell you one thing, as a fan of the game, he's exciting to watch. He's a type of player that's going to put butts in the seat. Now, maybe you want to tell him to tone it down. Jason Williams was the same way. White chocolate. White chocolate was the same way with that goddamn ball. Unbelievable, especially with the passes and stuff.
Starting point is 00:52:40 And if I'm not mistaken, I heard the stories about once he was here with the Miami Heat. It was like, hey, man, you've got to cut all that out. No, no. You got to cut, you got to cut. Yeah, you got to cut all that out. But listen, if they don't want him where he's at, sit him on down and hit us, then.
Starting point is 00:52:54 And plus he don't, plus he in Charlotte. Yeah. And you people say, well, magic had a flare. So which player that is LaMello playing with that's Corrine? or James Worthy. Right. Or Bob McAdoo, or Jamal Wilkes, or Michael Cooper.
Starting point is 00:53:10 So I just want to dip which one of those guys. So maybe it has something to do with it being in Charlotte. Yeah, you take him out of the equation. Who are you going to watch? No disrespect. Nobody. My point, my point exactly. Nobody.
Starting point is 00:53:22 My point exactly. And he's not even the type of player that plays above the rim. So the fact that he brings all those other qualities to his game that makes it fun to come watch and sit down. that, listen, that let you know how good he is. He's a phenomenal talent, but he don't play defense. So now you turn the ball over, and now you're not going to play defense? Yeah, yeah, you, you, you, you, you'll minimize those turnovers.
Starting point is 00:53:47 You'll be all right. You'll be right, but they don't have, it's like, you go, you look at the team that won. You look at OKC. They got like six, seven guys that play defense, so they're never going to be on the court without, like, three solid defenders. So, yeah. You know, you got Chet. defending the paint, you got Lou Dore on ball, you got Jay Will on ball,
Starting point is 00:54:06 you got, hey, you got Case, Caruso, I mean, you just got guy, they just run guy, out the guy, out the guy, out the guy at you. You know what also, when I think about it, when it comes to players that are heavily dominant on the offensive side of all, for what they lack on defense, they make up on offense in other areas,
Starting point is 00:54:27 in other areas where most, you get some players that are kind of balancing, both, but they're not as good, you know, in the office, they're in. I think the thing is, Ocho, but here's the problem that you run into. Because now you get in a nip and tuck game. If you go watch, what did a Minnesota do? They keep Luke in the pick and roll. If great as he is offense, we want you on defense now.
Starting point is 00:54:52 Right. What you're going to do. And they get whatever they want. They get a layup, they get a file, they get an easy jumper. See, that's the problem that you run into. Because at some point in time now, you ain't going to just blow people. people out no so you can't have three four guys on the court that don't play defense yeah can because in a close ball game they're gonna get whatever
Starting point is 00:55:17 they're gonna get whatever shot they want but unfortunately I don't know Charlotte's not going to trade him. Trade him if you want to. I tell you, I, I, I, he's the only guy that you come to see. Trade him. Oh, Ocho, time to play, play or fade, presented by prize picks. power play of head of football Sunday.
Starting point is 00:56:05 Alec Pierce, more than three recessions versus the Falcons in Berlin. Oh, so, hey, they play in Berlin tomorrow, huh? Yeah. So the game come on what? 630, 630, 730. Which one? Probably 9.
Starting point is 00:56:19 No, it'll be 9 your time. Right? Yeah, 9.30, your time. Okay, okay, okay, okay. I'll catch you at the second half. Ain't getting no 630. You can get no?
Starting point is 00:56:31 Hell no. I catch the second half. I'm trying to think. Todd has finally got on his clock. He, like, oh, they set the clocks back on. Yeah, they did. Mm-hmm. James Cook, more than 87 yards rushing against the dolphins.
Starting point is 00:56:47 More. More, yeah. Oh, Alex, how many receptions? You're going to have four receptions, Alex Pears? Yeah, yeah, of course, of course, of course. How many catches he got? He's going to get more than four because they don't. No, no.
Starting point is 00:57:00 They just got rid of it. um 80 Mitchell yeah yeah yeah yeah so so those targets are gonna go to go to go to to peer or Ed Pittman oh yeah okay we're going more James Cook oh he getting more than 87 against the dolphins yeah Rico Dowdle more than 110 total yards rushing and receivers versus the Saints man anything with Rico Dowell in it is up yep I like that more Isaiah likely more than three receptions he needs to have three receptions or more gets the biking of course that's it hey you come on against you come on you come on nightcap oh you buy to ball out every time you by the
Starting point is 00:57:48 ball out everybody twenty five dollars to win a hundred and fifty dollars download the after day use coach Shannon that's code Shannon to get fifty dollar in lineups after you play your first five dollar lineup it's good to be right All right, we're going to get you out here on this one. Time for our final segment of the evening. It's time for Q and A. J.J. Carbord, Johnny on here looking like Weekend at Bernice. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:38 Thomas Bady, two questions for you guys. Where does Omar Cooper's catch, stack up with other past catches in both college in the NFL? And second, do you see any IU players making it to the NFL? Well, the quarterback is a high-rated prospect. A lot of people say he might be the first pick of the draft. Yeah. Look, Indiana, I mean, I'm trying to think of top Indiana
Starting point is 00:59:01 players. Only one I can really think over the top of my head is Anthony Thompson. He came out with me with a running back. You know any Indiana player, football player? Where did Antoine Randallel go? I think you might have went down. Antoine Ramboleil. I might be wrong.
Starting point is 00:59:19 I'm not sure. I might be wrong, but I thought it might have been India. I could be wrong. He might have did. I can't remember. I just. you or Anthony Thompson came out. Yeah, Antoine Randallel did go to you.
Starting point is 00:59:37 Okay, yeah, that's the only person I remember. That's not what they're known for. But that was an unbelievable catch. Given the circumstances, given what was needed, and the DB was trying to push him out of bounds, and for him to get a foot down, that was dope. Hey, quarterback said, I'm going to put it right up front of the goal post.
Starting point is 00:59:57 You go get it. Yeah. And he went and got it. That was dope. And they also Nah, y'all don't get no Penix, Jr. Pennix Jr. graduated from what you call him, Washington. Don't do that.
Starting point is 01:00:09 People try to class. Because Ohio State don't get Jamison Williams. Ohio State don't get Joe Burrow because that's not where he finished his career. What if he tried to hate it? Thank you. Marquette's McDuffie said, Ocho, Ash, what are you?
Starting point is 01:00:30 three favorite college football catchers ever. Oh, ever? Man, please. That's hard. Ever? Yeah. That's difficult.
Starting point is 01:00:45 Yeah. You should have came about better asking about the NFL, man. Yeah. In NFL, I see, it's some really good. Chris Carter, Brandon Lloyd, Chris Carter. Oh, any catch Brandon Lloyd made. Hey.
Starting point is 01:01:00 People don't forget about Brad. Can you imagine Brandon Lloyd with the gloves today, Ocho? That they, you, man, please. Man, please. People think Fis and CC, but Brandon Lloyd making catches. I'm like, this dude catching, I'm talking about the ball on the ground. I mean, he catching the ball on the ground like this. Yeah, yeah, he was nice, Brandon was nice, boy.
Starting point is 01:01:23 Oh, and one, oh, he put in one hand, like catching the like. Oh, yeah. He got multiple one hands, though. He does. multiple and I got an opportunity to see him in Denver a lot you know in the 49ers yeah man he was uh uh alec B thank you uncle Ocho for giving us the best podcast to watch and listen to Alex thank you for watching Tino Davis we need Jeremiah Smith on the show well if you know how we can get in contact with him we'd absolutely love to have him on the show
Starting point is 01:01:58 I can call him, huh? Nick Marth, also talk about running for prayers, fixing the debt, and no government shutdown, been on two years. Child, please. I agree. Hey, you heard what he said? I've been on you two years, but why wouldn't we be shut down? We wouldn't be shut down because of the very fact that I want to make sure
Starting point is 01:02:23 everything stays up and running the correct way. well uh you do realize that we was up and running short the way you know them premium's about to go up right yeah a family of ford is playing about five hundred dollars in pre-insurance per month about to be two thousand dollars a month you know what they're doing you know listen uncle they know what they're doing this is all the game on this is always this is all the part of i don't i don't want to make this a political podcast i could get into that but i don't want to get into that i don't people don't need to see that side of me because that that's that's that's that's really not my thing that's not my thing but i just
Starting point is 01:02:55 know what they're doing yeah true and infamous 73 if you're a laker fan and the laker lost you can't say basket or ball I didn't see the game tonight did they lose yep so that mean you can't say basket or ball matter of fact you can't see any word that starts right now we ain't even talking basketball right now it's football season go wife's tape before y'all speak oh jrod matter of fact go wife t t uh uh uh Texas takes defense The fuck Johnny talked about nobody pop out on tape. Top five defense. Well, you know what?
Starting point is 01:03:35 You know, the thing is they're going to have to make a decision here in the next month. Yeah. I just don't know. Like I said, a defensive player winning that award. And now it's as good a time as any to win it because ain't nobody having a Joe Burrow type season. Ain't nobody having a Barry Sanders tag season. ain't nobody having a Devonte Smith type season or Travis.
Starting point is 01:03:58 I don't think people understand how special you have to be as a defensive player in college to be considered for a heisman. Just because he's saying people popping out on film because collectively as a whole, you guys have a good defense. It's always one person. And that one person always rises to the cage in regards to who you playing, consistently week in and week out, not playing as great as a whole as a unit.
Starting point is 01:04:24 We're talking about one individual. Yeah. All over the place, popping out on film, no matter who they're after they playing. There's a huge difference in that. That is not in college football today. It's not. Remember when LaVar Erington was playing?
Starting point is 01:04:42 Yeah. Julius Peppers. Yeah. I mean, I'm, like, that type of popping out every week. Oh, I got to watch this MF play. I got to turn the TV on because, so-and-so is playing today. There ain't nothing like that out there on defense.
Starting point is 01:04:58 I mean, think about it, Ocho. In the 100-plus year history of the NFL, there have been two defensive guys to win MVP as a defensive player. Lawrence Taylor and Alan Page. Now, two guys of one, Charles Woodson was a primarily defensive player. Travis Hunter back and forth. So they've been having the Housman, trophy since what, 1936?
Starting point is 01:05:27 Yeah, I think that's the poll. I think Jay Berwanger was the first one to win the award and 36. I think that's also the poll era. 35. Jay Burrwanger. So how many defensive players? And so now you say now, after all these guys,
Starting point is 01:05:45 Derek Thomas with 25 sacks, he didn't win it. Teddy Bruske had 20 plus sacks. He didn't win it. Yeah. Terrell Suggs had 24 sacks. He didn't win it. Hydent truck was originally called yeah i just know it's at the downtown after the 12 award 36 they renamed it to the high
Starting point is 01:06:05 damn uh it would have yeah i just know it said to that i don't even think it's at the downtown is it still at the downtown athletic club they still hold it there i think it was uh i just look like i said It's just like, it's just so hard for a defensive player to win that award. Yeah, very difficult. When the game has been catered to so much offense.
Starting point is 01:06:32 But, but, you know, even though the game has been catered to the offense, that's how you have to be that special as the defensive player, to even be considered to win it though. And it's still, it's still possible. Okay. It's still, it's still possible. It's still possible. T.J. Watt had 22 and a half sacks.
Starting point is 01:06:49 Did he win the award? Absolutely. Michael Strayhand had 22 and a half sacks. Did he win the award? It's hard for a primarily defensive player. It's a linebacker, a middle, if you, maybe an edge rusher, he gets 25, 30 sacks, oh, okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:06 Now we own to something. Yeah. Now you got to hope a quarterback don't throw for 5,000 and 50 touchdowns. It's, if a defensive player was going to win, it probably be the year to win at Ocho because they really, nobody's just like, like, hey, look at me, look at me, look at me. There are really no offensive guys there like that. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:26 Who would say Jeremiah Smith might get a might get a trip to New York? I'm not so sure he's not the best player in the country. Listen, if he can come out this year, he'd be number one. Hell of because he came out last year. He might have been the top five. He might have been number. Yeah. Well, uh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:49 Hey, hold on now I think about it. They need to change that rule, man. man, because he should be coming out this year. The fact that he even has to. Well, they should have traded it for Adrian Peterson and Hershey Walker. Because their damn sure could have came out as freshman. Oh. Well, they were, they were different, man.
Starting point is 01:08:07 Yeah. And it was grown men amongst boys. But you know what? At least he gets to make four, five million dollars a year. He got a little something put his pocket. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. And then, you know, he's taking out a big,
Starting point is 01:08:21 he probably got a $20 million lawyers in London, maybe even more. laws of London policy you're going to be nice man he'd be all right you're going to be nice thank you guys for joining us for another episode of night cap um y'all know who I am

Starting point is 01:08:59 So him now, now boots in Ortiz at some point are going to fight. And that might be the biggest fight in a long time. For me. I mean, obviously, Conello Crawford was big, but A. No, it ain't going to be bigger than Bud than Conno. No, no, not that big. But it's the biggest, it's going to be the biggest after that to me. Yeah.
