Starting point is 00:03:49 So I have to take a break from all the jokes here for just a second and put my serious voice on because I would never ever joke about a 5G network that has invested billions in building 5G towers across the country. Not even once. Not even if Mr. Boost Mobile himself asked me to. There's nothing funny about it. Boost Mobile is now a legit nationwide 5G network and also provides coverage across 99% of America. Starting point is 00:04:17 Boost Mobile Network together with our roaming partners covers 99% of the U.S. population. 5G speed not available in all areas. The Miami Heat guard Terry Roger allegedly manipulated his performance in 2023 as part of an illegal sports betting scheme. Alarms were raised after suspicious wagers were placed on Roger in March of 2023, game between the Charlotte Harnets
Starting point is 00:04:55 and the New Orleans Pelicans. The NBA said alarms were raised after unusual high number of wagers were placed on Roger to go under statistical benchmarks. The firm tasked with monitoring gambling activities, US Integrity, alerted the NBA and sports book. Roger left with a sore right foot after having scored only five points. The NBA did its own internal investigation and found no wrongdoers.
Starting point is 00:05:23 But the feds are now looking into the matter. Well, if NBA didn't find the wrongdoers, what are the feds going to do? Because if anything, if anybody gave me any more thorough than checking players and anything gambling related, wouldn't it be the NBA? Oh Joe, you think I want to find something that's going on with my player and manipulating the games? That's what I want. Okay something that's going on with my player and manipulate in the games
Starting point is 00:05:50 That's what I want. Okay. All right, you right think about Tim Donahue It was the fans Oh, I can't I can't let no See you going with it. I see me going with it. But but listen protecting the shield, the NBA shield. But you're going to let the player skate on by without showing, laying down a law? Letting other players know? Listen, this is something that we're not going to tolerate. We're not having this. It's going to look even worse if the FBI finds something. When you've already done your due diligence and your research to see if he did anything wrong I'm hoping the FBI don't snoop. I hope if the FBI says okay, they did their investigation. Let's let it lie
Starting point is 00:06:33 Okay, okay. Okay Now what I'm hoping I don't want to listen. Oh Joe. They already say what do fans think the script is in man? He gave read Do I really want that, Ocho? Right, right, right. What I don't understand with these guys, and this is an allegation, guys are making so much money, Ocho,
Starting point is 00:06:56 why would you even run the risk? The risk is just too great. I don't get it. Right. The risk is just too great. Right. I don't get it. A guy that's making 19, somewhere between 19 and 25 million dollars. Right. For a couple of dollars for the homies or somebody, you willing to risk that and your good name and your reputation?
Starting point is 00:07:22 And they take your, I don't know, dude, I don't know if they take people to jail. Maybe that's a fine, I don't know. Really? Hey, everybody's mindset is different. And just the thought of it thinking, you know what, I can get away with this. I can make a little extra cash on the side,
Starting point is 00:07:38 not that you would need it. Not that you would need it as an NBA player, you know? But hey. I ain know, but hey, I Choke. Oh, I'm good I'll make a some other dollars. I ain't trying to flip team if I get 10m Oh, I ain't trying to flip that I would take my little five seven and five to seven percent and I'm gonna keep it moving That's a crazy mentality and I got 10m. I'm gonna flip that thing, make that thing 20. Huh?
Starting point is 00:08:06 Right. Good luck with that. Do you understand what you gotta potentially do? Yeah. The risk is too great. Too great. And this says, uh, Roger has made 134 M's in his career. 134?
Starting point is 00:08:27 134. That's a lot everywhere. Yes! That's a whole heap of change. We talked about this Ocho, when you make that kind of money, you get access that the average people can't get. Now you get an opportunity to put a little fun together. Hey, somebody come in, look entry level.
Starting point is 00:08:49 They were a boom, boom. And now you hit a lick with Uber. You hit a lick with this company. You hit a lick with that company. Now you 10 X 15 X 20 X your money on 205. Look at Colby body armor, eight mil, ripped it. Sold a Coca-Cola, 400 mil. James Harden said, hey, Kobe talk that many to it.
Starting point is 00:09:13 He put a little something in there, boom. 50 cent, tuck stock, vitamin water, got sold, 100 mil. Do it like that, guy, come on, guy. Y'all got too much money. I hope I hope this isn't true. I really do. I hope this is just an allegation. And when the FBI do the due diligence, they say, no, there was nothing.
Starting point is 00:09:34 There was nothing. Hey, he really had a sore foot. Yada yada yada. But just like they called Michael Porter Jr. brother, manipulated his thing. He Lord have mercy. Yeah, he was tripping. Yes. Manipulated his thing. He Lord have mercy. Yeah, he was ripping Hey, I don't they I
Starting point is 00:09:52 Ain't really trying to Hmm I don't know. Oh Joe. Oh Joe. We got some special for the people tonight. We got your favorite back. Yo, you been taking it with you on the show,
Starting point is 00:10:36 so you ready? I've been taking my thesaurus with me, and I've been telephorsing, and I'm trying to figure out what to do. Ocho will get Pterodactyl. Listen, Pterodactyl is a good word. I saw Jurassic Park. Yes. I saw Jurassic Park. Yes. I saw Jurassic Park.

T-E-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R, T-E-R-A-Dactyl. T-A-C-T-U-L-L. I know that's wrong. You're absolutely correct that it's wrong. It's P-T-E-R.

I bet this is one of those words where the first word, you know, I'm thinking it's phlegm starts like F I F F L and I bet it's probably had, it's probably something else in the front of it. It is probably silent, huh?

Starting point is 00:15:02 But you got this one, Ocho. This was you. Recessitate. Recessitate. Recessitate. After scoring a touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars, I had to recessitate the football. Yes. Recess. Recessitate. R-E-C.

Starting point is 00:24:51 Huh? You asking me a question? I'm asking you, was it played in Houston? Is it the Falcons and the New England Patriots? The question was, which game was the first Super Bowl? The Patriots and the Falcons. Okay, okay, you got that, you got that, okay. Okay.

Ah! San Francisco 49ers defeated the British Denver Broncos and this in New Orleans by the score of 55-10.
Starting point is 00:26:04 That is the largest Super Bowl margin of victory. New Orleans by the score of 55 to 10. That is the largest Super Bowl margin of victory. Now the Cowboys were about to do break that until Leon Lett got stripped of the football at the goal line. So my answer is the San Francisco 49ers 55, 10 victory over the Denver Broncos. You know what? We shouldn't have done that question because you know, the history of the Broncos and them getting beat. Okay.

What running back has caught the most passes in a single Super Bowl? Let me see. I believe I'm not mistaken. Hmm. I think it's 14. This small running back could have easily been the MVP.
Starting point is 00:27:23 I think it's James White. Hey, you know what? Somebody briefed you on this shit already, man. Somebody briefed you on this. Y'all want to put the cord up? Cause I'm long gone right now. Nah. I'm long gone right now. Hey, Chad, something ain't right, Chad.
Starting point is 00:27:39 Something ain't right. Chad! Chad! Hey, look, I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but you were briefed on these questions ahead of time, but there's no way you know. And I was sleep ahead of time. Okay. Here we go.

Which receiver has caught the most passes? Most passes in a single Super Bowl. Demarius Thomas. That is absolutely wrong. We finally got him. We finally got him. We stumped the swab.
Starting point is 00:28:19 The answer you were looking for is Dion Branch, Super Bowl 39, He had 11 catches. Check Deion. Take Demarius Thomas, Super Bowl, against the Seattle Seahawks. How many passes did he call? What's the number? Four. Mm-hmm. I would be, uh, D-Del, Del Ocho there. Del Ocho, Ocho, what, what? Oh, oh, my. Oh, my. Oh, my.

Starting point is 00:30:08 Because people typing in and I'm responding. That's me. Here we go. Oh my bad. For context, Demarius Thomas against the Seattle Seahawks caught 13 passes. That is the most passes caught in a Super Bowl. Did they win that game?
Starting point is 00:30:34 No, they did not win that game. They got blown out that game. Oh. You ready? You want to give me another, you want me to give you a bonus? The chat ain't no. Oh Joe, check this out. Oh Joe, we got to move to Texas. It is illegal to look through your spouse's phone in Texas without their consent.
Starting point is 00:31:47 In 2023, Texas passed legislation that prohibits accessing spouse's phone, online accounts, or social media without their permission. It also prohibits tracking a spouse's vehicle or personal belongings without their consent. It is considered a class B misdemeanor state or a state jail felony. I believe I believe my phone now, I believe it over those go to sleep. Yeah, but you know what, they just say no, they went through it. I don't know how you see that.
Starting point is 00:32:25 You said that trial, you how you set that trap. You gotta set that trap. You gonna set the trap? Yeah. You get you another phone and you have somebody leave a voicemail or leave a voice on it. So when they call that phone, say, this is such a such, do you call, Hey, do you call such a, no. Play the voice back.
Starting point is 00:32:46 Is this you? Oh, okay, okay. You going to jail. Okay. I'll be like that girl in Atlanta. You about to lose your jaw. You about to lose your jaw. Age time.
Starting point is 00:33:04 Houston, we don't have a problem. We have liftoff. We going to Houston. We going to Houston baby. Hey, that phone different man. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Hey, it's Bobby Bones. Join me and former NFL quarterback Matt Castle every Wednesday for our new podcast, Lots
Starting point is 00:33:33 to Say with Bobby Bones and Matt Castle. Between us, we have over 17,500 passing yards, multiple New York Times bestsellers, and one mirror ball trophy from Dancing with the Stars. So where else are you gonna find a show with that much athleticism and football insight? Based in Nashville, we're more than just your basic NFL show. We talk sports, but we talk pop culture and music and a little bit of everything,
Starting point is 00:33:56 because we got lots to say. I texted you and you texted me back. Now, I don't know if you have the update, but like all the little thumbs up and heart and stuff, like it's all colored. They changed it. And the heart's a little pink. It felt like I told you I loved you. I'm gonna be update, but like all the little thumbs up and heart and stuff, like it's all colored. They changed it. And the heart's a little pink. It felt like I told you I loved you.
Starting point is 00:34:08 I'm gonna be honest, it was a little pink. There was something sentimental when you sent it. It was like, do I send the heart now? I don't like the color edition. It's extremely pink. Listen to lots to say with Bobby Bones and Matt Castle on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:34:25 I'm so sick of hearing men talk about women's basketball. If only there were a professional WNBA player with her own podcast I could listen to. Hey, this is Lexi Brown, WNBA player and professional yapper. And this is Mariah Rose. You may know me from spilling the tea on Hoops for Hotties on TikTok. And we've got a new podcast, Full Circle.
Starting point is 00:34:46 Every Wednesday, we're catching you up on what's going on in women's basketball and not just in the WNBA, but with Athletes Unlimited, Unrivaled and college basketball. We've got you with analysis, inside stories and a little bit of tea. I know you guys have seen a lot of former and current basketball players telling their stories from their point of view. And I just think it's time for the girlies to tap in.
Starting point is 00:35:07 We want to share all of the women's basketball stories that you won't see anywhere else. Tune in to Full Circle, an iHeart Women's Sports production in partnership with Deep Blue Sports and Entertainment. You can find us on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Presented by Capital One, founding partner of iHeart Heart Women Sports.
Starting point is 00:35:29 The forces shaping markets and the economy are often hiding behind a blur of numbers. So that's why we created The Big Take from Bloomberg podcasts to give you the context you need to make sense of it all. Every day in just 15 minutes, we dive into one global business story that matters. You'll hear from Bloomberg journalists like Matt Levine. A lot of this boomstack stuff is I think embarrassing to the SEC. Amanda Moll, who writes our Business Week buying power column. Very few companies who go viral are like totally prepared for what that means. And Zoe Tillman, senior legal reporter. Courts are not supposed to decide elections. Courts are not really supposed to play a big role in choosing our elected leaders.
Starting point is 00:36:13 That's for the voters to decide. Follow the Big Take podcast on the iHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you listen. What's up, everybody? I'm Dan Burke here to tell you about a new podcast, iHeart podcast in the National Hockey League. wherever you listen. and NHL Network. We're looking forward to getting together each week to chat and chirp about the sport and all the other things surrounding it that we love, right? Yeah, I just met you today, but we're gonna have a ton of guests from the colliding worlds of hockey, entertainment, and pop culture. And you know what?
Starting point is 00:36:54 Tons of back and forth on all things NHL. Yeah, you're gonna soon gonna find out we're not just hockey talk. We have all kinds of random stuff on this podcast, movies, television, food, wrestling, even the stuff that you wear on NHL Now. You wish you could pull off my short shorts, Virky. That's sure to cause a ruckus. Listen to NHL Unscripted with Virkin Demurs and the iHeart Uh, check this out, Ocho. It's our last segment of the evening and it's Q and A.
Starting point is 00:37:41 Uh, Triple X. Cup Saturday, my black nightcap beanie came in today. Thank you. Thank you so much. We glad you like it. Hope you like it. Hey, as a matter of fact, take a picture and send us a picture. You're you in it, bro. Kevin, don't would you say my quick.
Starting point is 00:37:57 Oh, my question is, is where is dirt on your list of power forwards, one through 10. Tim Duncan's number one. So we're not, they ain't nothing to dispute on that. He's number one. For me, I go Karl Malone too. Here's where it gets tricky. Now if Moses Malone is a power forward, I would go Moses Malone too. Right.
Starting point is 00:38:42 Because Moses has three MVPs and a finals MVP. But if he's a center, he's out of this discussion. So now it comes down, is it KG or the Dirk? I'll go ticket dirt Barkley. Big ticket. Dr. Frankie L. Bellamy said, hey fam, just think this time next week, we'll be coming on stage dancing to Waka Flock of flame. I can't wait get your tickets now. That's right, doc I can't wait. I Can't wait get away your movie. Hold on. We cut we coming out. We coming out to smoke and confetti
Starting point is 00:39:42 If you smoking the cigar we coming out to smoke Now we can't smoking the cigar, we coming out to smoke? No, we can't. I can't smoke in the Mahalia. The Mahalia can't smoke in there. Matter of fact, we should come out in the Mahalia Jackson gospel music. No, not all that cursing. You're going to be doing it. Absolutely not.
Starting point is 00:39:58 I don't curse. I stop. You ain't notice I ain't cursing the last two, three shows? I sure appreciate that. That's really nice. Yeah, right. There you go. Isaiah Lancaster, Uncle Nocho, what are your thoughts
Starting point is 00:40:11 on the 49ers bringing back Robert Sala? And do you guys see bringing him being a threat next season? Also, what's your NBA finals prediction? Yes, I love Robert Sala because, yes, even though Steve Wilkes had the defense playing at an extremely high level and congratulations to Steve Wilkes, the new DC went with AG to the Jets. Congratulations Wilkes.
Starting point is 00:40:33 I know Wilkes, known him a long time. He used to be head coach at Savannah State. So I knew him way before he got into the NFL. So congratulations to Steve Wilkes. But I love the Robert Sala high. He had that defense playing at an extremely high level. Hopefully they can stay healthy. That's a big key.
Starting point is 00:40:49 Uh, with a team like the 49ers. Uh, but I do see them. I think the 49ers will be right back in it. They have far too many injuries too early in the season to overcome those. That's not an excuse, but I do see them being a major, major player in the NFC next year. Definitely NBA finals prediction. I guess I got to take y'all. I'm going to take the Thunder.
Starting point is 00:41:15 And who you taking? The Cavs or the Celtics? Probably the Celtics again. Just to be different, you, I go to Cavs. I go to Cavs. J213 say, Uncle Nocho, what brand did y'all always have in your home as a kid? For us, it was the open box Armahammer stuck in the, it was in the free refrigerator yeah and freezing the refrigerator yeah yeah same and yes that grease sitting in that porch we had Maxwell house coffee yeah yeah I remember the same yeah and sometimes the fish tastes like chicken and sometimes the chicken tastes like fish cuz you all all got it all fried the same grease.
Starting point is 00:42:05 Oh yeah, same, yep. That's a good one. Uh, Alan Fletcher, what's up Uncle Nocho? Uh, uh, hit that uncho again. Y'all ain't that boy? Uncle Nocho, Uncle Nocho, why you do that man? Well. You got people actually thinking that, man, Ash in your ear helping him.
Starting point is 00:42:24 Ash ain they helping me And guess what if I talk it we can both hear it It's all good. It's all good. You you had your night night, and I ain't trippin. I'd be every dog has his date Today was my day Jenny Abra. Uh, y'all pray for me. I have my final three panel job interview tomorrow for client management and operations analyst position, New York, New York salary, uh, manifested on
Starting point is 00:42:59 new year's Eve where Jenny here at night cap, we wish you the bus to look, but look, it's not what you need. Lucky is what happened when preparation meets opportunity. Alma says luck is what they call it. Yeah. And you better walk in there like you're honing tonight. Yeah. When they don't go in that shot, don't go in that timid walking that thing.
Starting point is 00:43:18 Like Miranda Priestley and the devil wears product. Yeah. Hi. No, what did Armisen say? Watch shoulder. Yeah. Luck goes to those that are prepared. Yeah, luck, yeah, no. What do you say?
Starting point is 00:43:35 Victory goes to those who are prepared. Luck some call it. Yeah. Negage, Ocho, what was it like meeting Ronaldo? Or do you think he'll, he will or should play 2026 world cup? Oh, anyway, it was cool. You got to think I met Ronaldo.
Starting point is 00:43:55 What year was that? We were both with Nike at the, we were both with Nike at the time. And this is how the, obviously you've been following me for a while. My relationship with all the soccer players to date started because I was with Nike. So I met Ronaldo when he was with, when he was with sporting years ago, years ago. And that's when I started, you know, traveling over to, to see everyone abroad and meeting all the players that happened to be signed with Nike at the time. So it was dope.
Starting point is 00:44:20 He was very, very inquisitive about the way we trained in NFL. He was healthy, he didn't drink, didn't smoke, didn't do anything, he's very, very, very extremely disciplined as far as diet is concerned. So we're the complete opposite in that area. But he's dope as hell, man, he's dope as hell. Very, very dope. Jonathan said, hey Uncle Uncan, no joke.
Starting point is 00:44:46 Name is Jonathan. Was hoping y'all could wish me a happy belated birthday. Turn 29, any words of wisdom. Also, Unc, I'm no longer a Cowboy fan, so I guess I'm already on the right path. Much love. Happy belated birthday, bro. 29 years of age, one year from the big three.
Starting point is 00:45:02 Oh, hopefully you did something fun. Got a chance to hang out with family, friends and loved ones, but words of wisdom, believe in you, believe in you, trust you, continue to work hard. And, you know, I tell people to work hard. Hard work doesn't guarantee you anything, but I just believe without it, you don't have a chance. Tsunami, Ocho, how are you convinced that Joe, Joe B., Lamar, or Allen will get a Super Bowl?
Starting point is 00:45:36 Marino, Moon, Boomer, Kelly, Matt Ryan, Cav, Cold Pepper, Cunningham, Vic Rivers, never got one. Pat ain't going anywhere. I mean, I just say that, you know know. Hey Tom Brady wasn't going anywhere either but Flacco got him one didn't he? Got him one. Huh? Ben Roethlisberger got him one didn't he? That's all the AFC. Yep got him too. Same thing same concept at some point they gonna get them one. The the the beast got somebody going to slay the beast. You know, it's not going to happen often, but it's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:46:11 Johnny, Fana, peace, love you guys. Can I get a shout out to my cousin, Lord, who lost his son Ryan three years ago to a fentanyl overdose. Happy birthday. Tomorrow, I would appreciate God bless. Yes, we're sorry. Happy birthday tomorrow. I would appreciate God bless. Yes We're sorry. Oh, Joe and I very sorry that you are. Yes. Your cousin lost her son Tragically to a an overdose obviously that's never easy It's always very very difficult on parents when they have to bury a child because that's not the way it was intended to be
Starting point is 00:46:43 Check children are supposed to bury parents not parents bury children So I can just imagine how traumatic of an experience that was for your cousin. So I thought some prayers with her. Hopefully she's doing well. Hopefully God gave her peace and understanding and strength to, to realize that he makes no mistakes and he's a person that's resting comfortably now. So Cates, what's up guys? My question, even though Hornets paid LaMelo ball already, how can they bring a superstar or a savvy vet to help them out before he even thinks about leaving? I don't think they can. Charlotte is not a
Starting point is 00:47:24 preferred destination. You got it. Just like, just like this. We talked about this the other day, don't you? Just like San Antonio was not a preferred destination. They had to be great in the draft. Not who we are. You had David Robinson in 87 and he kept it afloat. And then you got Tim Duncan, who Robinson still had a year,
Starting point is 00:47:43 had, you know, have some, some tread on the tires. But then you get Parker and you got your nobly and then a couple of years down the road, you ended up getting Kawhi. That's how, that's how it happened. It's not a preferred destination, say like an LA, uh, like a New York Knicks or like, you know, yeah. It things like that happen. What Boston would be being preferred destination.
Starting point is 00:48:08 I don't know about me, all those guys got traded. KG got traded there. OK, Ray Allen got traded there. Holiday got traded there. Now they drafted well, they got back to back years. They got JB the next year. I, they got back to back years. They got, uh, uh, JB the next year. I think they got JT, but you know, they drafted Rondo. They drafted, uh, the truth Paul Pierce, but no, uh, they traded for, uh, for Zingas. They traded for Derek white.
