Jason Kelsey made some interesting comments about the difference between Shanahan offense and the West Coast offenses. Let's take a listen to what Kelsey had to say, oh, Joe. I do think there's a reason,
Starting point is 00:02:46 while there has been a lot of great offensive coaches that have come from the Shanahan tree and the McVay Trees, not a lot of those has transitioned to the Super Bowls. And I think that if you look at them, largely the teams that have won Super Bowls over the last decade, most of them have been West Coast offenses that are pretty much grounded along to the Bill Walsh and Andy Reed, like, lineages or pro-style offenses.
Starting point is 00:03:10 And I think part of that is like the scheme can be great, but it's going to be really hard to win a Super Bowl with the coach out-scheming. At the end of the day, most of the Super Bowls are won with quarterbacks and players on the field. Teams that operate out a drop-back pass more tend to win Super Bowl more because drop-back pass is more important in close games. at end-of-game situations, and that's why I think the West Coast offense, while it's not as, you know, as ridiculously interesting as some of the Shanahan principles and things,
Starting point is 00:03:39 I think it probably translates when you have great players into more success at the end of the day. Hey, Unk, I like that a little bit. I like what he's saying. Obviously, Shanahan's system and the West Coast system, I think it all comes down to, obviously, having a combination of both, having a combination of great players with the great quarterback. Because if you have a great quarterback, regardless of the offense that you are running,
Starting point is 00:04:03 whether it's Shannon-like or if it's West Coast system, being able to manipulate that offense and knowing exactly what you're doing and having the right supporting cast, hell, anything is possible. Anything is possible. It all comes down to the person at the helm who has the ball in his hands the most
Starting point is 00:04:22 in his decision-making. That's what it comes down to at the end of the day. Scheme is great. You know, tactics is great. The system you're running is great, whether it be a Shannonhan style offense or whether be the West Coast system offense. Hell, we've seen the West Coast system offense be successful. Think about how many teams that have a West Coast system that have won the Super Bowl.
Starting point is 00:04:46 The thing, look, in Mike's system, the West Coast system, they really used the short passing game as their run game. The true West Coast system, the way Bill Wills ran it, they never had a Terrell Davis. They never had a guy that could hit his head that could run the ball like that. And if you go back and study, you look at Green Bay. Green Bay, they had Dorsey Levins. If you go back and look at the West Coast,
Starting point is 00:05:11 the very few teams have had a guy that could run the ball like we had with TD. And even though you go back and you look at the Broncos, even after TD, they had Mike Anderson, and they had Ruben drones, and we had Clinton Porter. And they had a number of guys, they weren't TD. And so if you look at now, McCaffrey, you see how he, what they're able to scheme and how they're able to, to run the ball with McCaffrey.
Starting point is 00:05:38 And still, they still throw a lot. We didn't throw the ball that much to the running backs. That was my job, end job, and Rod's, a foot job to do the, to do the leg work as far as the passing game. Yeah, we threw a couple of screens, but we weren't a great screen team like, like the, like the 49ers are with Kyle, like they are with Ms. Vey. We weren't a good, we were not a good screen team. We were a toss it, handed, weak side zone team, stop it if you can. And then we're going to play action off of that. We're going to run boot.
Starting point is 00:06:11 We're going to run fullback slide, drag slide. We're going to run over. And we dare you to stop. You know what I do like too about the West Coast System, Monk? And for those that are in the chat, to give you a different perspective, especially when it comes to soccer, I want to think about the Barcelona teams, you know, the early days of Messi, when obviously they kill you with 100 passes.
Starting point is 00:06:29 You know, tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki, that's what I think about the West Coast system, Munk. You know, being able to have 14, 15, 17, 17, 18 play goddamn drives, and it's damn demoralizing for a defense because there's no way to stop you because you always able to find the mismatch based on whoever it is at the helm controlling the ball and having the ball in their hands the most. And when it's done the right way, when it's done the right way, it's the most beautiful thing in the world. the most beautiful thing in the world to watch. But if you look at it, you look at Andy Reed was in that system. Andy Reed, you look at every, because he came from Mike Hongren, John Gruden, all those guys, Marriucci, all those guys was under Hungren who came up on that system.
Starting point is 00:07:18 Mike went directly to San Francisco and got that from Bill Walsh himself. And so you see all the guys that came from Shanahan, Kyle Shanahan, McVeigh, all those guys, LaFleur, O'Connell, all those guys. And so you see a variation of it. They do a lot of that got their own, put their own spin on the Nocho, but that's what it is. But none of them has really had a guy
Starting point is 00:07:44 that can run football like a TD. And so that's the only thing that's missing from the West Coast that I was in compared to what we see now. They throw a lot more, They throw a wave. The game has changed now. The game is changed now.
Starting point is 00:07:59 So they're going to throw the ball more than when we ran it. We ran more than we threw. Matter of fact, what is, what is Mr. Campbell in the Detroit Lions? Is that not West Coast a little bit? I don't know. He was under Parcells. So he got most of his tutelage under Parcells.
Starting point is 00:08:15 Okay. Because they, they kill you with those damn on those damn crossing routes over and over. Yeah, they run a lot of shallows. They run a lot of end cuts. They do a lot of, They do a lot of three-by-ones, a lot of bunches. They do a lot of motion.
Starting point is 00:08:30 But a thing about the 49ers, huh? Think about the 49ers, especially that year they went to the Super Bowl with Perl when they faced the Chiefs. That is beautiful football in every sense of the word. Because they can go, they can start at a five-yard line. And dink and dunk and dink and dunk and dunk and screenplayed a goddamn McCaffrey, Chunk played in McCaffrey, you know, running off tackle, running through the A gap. And it's just a continuous, and when it's done the right way, when you have a quarterback
Starting point is 00:09:01 that's making all the right decisions, and as great as Shanahan is, is finding the mismatches and making sure you play to your player's strengths. Putting them in position, make those plays, it's a beautiful thing. I know you don't know anything about soccer, but I could just show you a clip. I could just show you a clip of Barcelona playing. and it's like the death of a thousand passes and they're just going back to back and they're almost lulling the defense to sleep
Starting point is 00:09:28 lulling the defense to sleep until the right time and it's just before you know it the goddamn goal in the back in the back of the net you don't know what the hell happened. Yeah. Tell me too much. Clint Porter's.
Starting point is 00:09:45 Clint Porter was unbelievable. He had way more talented. He was way more, had way more talented than TD, but he didn't take it as serious as TD. Clint Porter should be in the Hall of Fame. That boy was, hey. Clint Porter's had 3,100 yards and 31 touchdowns in two seasons. Shit.
Starting point is 00:10:06 Two seasons. Nice, boy. Yes. Hey, they, y'all used to, yeah, y'all, Porter's more to do, man. And y'all used to run that stretch, that stretch report. Yes. Like, I think Payton used to run out a lot, too.
Starting point is 00:10:18 I mean, we looked like quarterback almost falling to get that stretch. out there? Yes. Oh my goodness. Yes. And a porter's a whole, hold it, hold it, hold it. Did we play pass off and throw the ball over your head? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:29 Put us a whole last stretch along and cut back across that grain. Boy. Good night, Irene. And once Porter hit that second level on. Oh, you get to go. Good luck. Good luck. But if porters would have taken it serious, Ocho, do you know how many times?
Starting point is 00:10:50 times on a Saturday night I sit up in my room at the bed check I see who leaving if I see who leave it who you think he'll see him leaving coach that's why he traded him who trade who's going to who's going to trade a running man like think about it he's officer rookie in the year he goes to the Pro Bowl the guy that he beats out for a Pro Bowl spot is La Danian Thomason. La Danian Thomason has 1,600 rush yards and a hundred
Starting point is 00:11:27 catches in a season, and Portis beat him out for the Pro Bowl. Dave. Mike traded him because of that. He wouldn't want to work out. Wait, he was lazy? Hold on. Coming from a program like the University of Miami
Starting point is 00:11:47 where everything is predicated. I don't know where it's. came from. I'm telling what he was when he got to them. I'm telling him what he was different. The way them boys were coming out to you? I just thought that that transition would have stuck, especially going into the league.
Starting point is 00:12:02 Man, part of came to the game one time, hungover, to tell my, man, I can't play today. Get your ass out there and run some gap, run that lick out and get your ass and do a contrast. They ain't got nothing to do it, Mike. Mike ain't enough porno looking out of your throat.
Starting point is 00:12:16 I bet he had one hell of a game, too. A monster. A monster came. Man, Paul, I say, Polk, man, why you won't do right? He'll tell you, he'll tell you himself. I mean, I got, I mean, I thought it was just going to be a matter of time. I didn't think he was going to trade him because I did all I could,
Starting point is 00:12:40 you know, being a veteran presence there trying to do all I could. Come on, Polk, man. Damn, just do right. Hey, matter of fact, un, wait, who was the replacement? Polk come to practice and wouldn't even have his shoes tied and they couldn't tackle it. As a matter of fact,
Starting point is 00:12:55 you know what? If coach made that decision to let porters go, that means there had to be somebody behind him that they trusted or that maybe not as good but we can do just by. They are, uh,
Starting point is 00:13:09 uh, who's that? I think it was maybe maybe Ruben drones. I think it was a Ruben. I remember Ruben. I remember. Hey, he ended up rushing for 1,200. Hey, what's the running back?
Starting point is 00:13:23 Did you play with the running back? You didn't play with Travis Henry played in Denver, too, didn't he? No, I was gone. Yeah, Trave was gone. I was gone when Travis got there. I wonder, I don't know why I'm thinking about running back. I'm going to have Travis Henry doing. You know, he did some time, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:13:41 Not about the running back played for the bill. Travis Henry? He did some time, Ocho. I ain't know that. Yeah. Damn Speaking of Hall of Fame Terrell Suggs went on Johnny's Glory Days podcast
Starting point is 00:13:57 and talked about Antonio Brown's upcoming Pro Football Hall of Fame candidacy Sugg said he's a first ballot I wouldn't think so The off the field stuff they're going to shy away from that probably until it gets resolved They let another murderer in the 90s
Starting point is 00:14:13 Hold on They let another murderer in the 90s I bet you If they could, they would have waited, like, uh, we might not want to put this guy in this fraternity just yet. Hey, um, I don't think, I don't think, because you got to think about it. T.O had no, look, should A B be a, first of all, let me say this, should he be a first ballot based on what he did.
Starting point is 00:14:37 Wait Charles will see that. Yes. Yes. But with T.O. They changed the bylaws. They said, what you. did off the field and what you did in the locker room or on the sidelines could be weighed against you so so you see how they did that on you see how they were able to move the goalposts
Starting point is 00:14:59 you see how they were able to move the goalpost and and having the power to control having the power to be able to control when and who not let in when the criteria for making the pro football hall of fame is conducted and based off what you do in between the goddamn lines so now now Now we're making it personal. They change it. Yeah, they change it. They change it for in their favor. So if you don't conduct yourselves in the manner in which we see fit away from the game of football, now we can chastise you for it.
Starting point is 00:15:28 We can chastise you for it. I mean, listen, A.B. is a bona fide hall of famer no matter what. I understand what he's done off the field. I even understand some of the stuff he's done on the field. But when it was time to go, when you talk about the story and you talk about some of the greatest NFL receivers, Is they ever played this mother, I almost curse. Greatest people they ever play this game. You can't tell the story without mentioning Antonio Goddamn Brown.
Starting point is 00:15:56 You're right. I think he's talking about OJ, but OJ was already in. That's the one thing about that fraternity. Once you're in, they can't take you out. You're there for perpetuity. So I think he was talking about OJ, but OJ was already in, so there's nothing you can do. Now maybe at USC, they removed some of his paraphernalia.
Starting point is 00:16:15 or they took him. I don't know. But in the NFL, once you go into that building, you're in that building. I just think the thing is, Ocho, I just think he's going to have to wait. They made Tio wait three rounds.
Starting point is 00:16:29 If Tio is not a first ballot Hall of Famer, the man had the third most catches. I think at the time of retirement, he had the second most receiving yards, over 1,000 yards. There's only been three men. There's been a first team all pro with three different teams.
Starting point is 00:16:45 Dion Sanders, Ted Hendricks, and one T.O. So three men in the history of the game has been a first team all pro with three different teams. T.O. led San Francisco in yards. He led Buffalo in yards. He led Philly in yards. He led Dallas in yards. He led Cincinnati for five teams.
Starting point is 00:17:07 Five. Yeah. Tio is the first ballot. You know what? You know what? I don't like the fact that they hold so much power. They control everything. Yeah. They're able to control everything.
Starting point is 00:17:18 And you have players, you have players that played extremely well at a very high level consisting for a very long time. And you have people that are able to control, you know? And it affects a lot of players that want to be a part of that fraternity so bad. You want to be. So you have to, you have to pander to it. You know, it's out of your control. So if you can't even almost, you can't even be yourself.
Starting point is 00:17:45 have to be something different, you have to conform to what they want you to be like, why you're playing the game in order to be a part of this over here, because of what it means, one of the greatest, if not the greatest achievement as an NFL player. But, boy. And the thing is, I mean, I don't know if he's talking about OJ, but OJ was acquitted. Now, you might think he did it or he know who did it or he had something to do, but he went before 12 men and women, and they said not guilty. after that we can come up with conjecture and speculation and innuendo all we won't but at the end of the day
Starting point is 00:18:23 he went before a jury of his peers and they heard all the evidence and they said not guilty but i don't like i said is a be a hall of famer yes do i think he's going to have a hard time getting in based on his history of his off-to-field activity and the way he conducted himself in Pittsburgh because you've got to realize, Ocho, when you go before the board, somebody, Ed Bousquet,
Starting point is 00:18:50 would probably have to be his presenter. So he would have to get up there and says, okay, Antonio Brown, he had this many catches, had this, this, this, and this. But also, uh, uh, uh. So you see how that goes? Now some, you know,
Starting point is 00:19:04 some guys like, hey, Tom Brady guy going to say, Peyton Manning, the guy just, ain't say a word, Peyton Manning. stop back down Tom Brady
Starting point is 00:19:14 gonna be the same thing sit back down some guys you know offered Jerry Rice sit back down you know some things like that but I think he's gonna have
Starting point is 00:19:22 a hard time getting in base because like you said it's 50 men and women and every man and woman knows a B story yeah it is what it is
Starting point is 00:19:35 uh Jerry Judy didn't exactly calm things down over the week when asked by the media about the show do a sideline exchange. In fact, Cleveland is up in arms over him saying it's the media's fault.
Starting point is 00:19:48 He's picking fights with reporters and his own Brown's teammates. Let's take a listen Ochoa what he had to say. If a Lenovo gaming computer is on your holiday list, don't shop around. Just go directly to the source, Lenovo.com. It's your last chance to score exclusive deals on the gaming PCs you want,

Starting point is 00:21:47 championship trophy home. I just want to remind everyone how good Rishie Rice was last season. And there's three healthy games. He was the wide receiver two in fantasy. I think Rishie Rite just goes off this week. The Chiefs come on a flip pass to Rice. This side, touchdown! Remind J. Stevens is my sleeper this week.
Starting point is 00:22:03 This is a matchup where I think I can slide in Stevenson into my flex position and he could deliver double-digit points this week. Drake takes the snap, hands it off. Remodry, running it right, and running into the end zone. Touchdown! It's never too late to turn your fantasy season around. Subscribe to the NFL Fantasy Football Podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. For 25 years, I've explored what it means to heal, not just for myself, but alongside others.
Starting point is 00:22:32 I'm Mike Delarocha. This is Sacred Lessons, a space for reflection, growth, and collective healing. healing. What do you tell men that are hurting right now? Everything's going to be okay on the other side, you know, just push through it. And, you know, ironically, the root of the word spirit is breath. Wow. Which is why one of the most revolutionary acts that we can do as peoples just breathe. Next to the wound is their gifts. You can't even find your gifts unless you go through the wound. That's the hard thing. You think, well, I'm going to get my guess. I don't want to go through all that. You've got to go through the wounds you're laughing. Listening to other people's near
Starting point is 00:23:09 death experiences and it's all they say in conclusion love is the answer listen to sacred lessons as part of the my culture podcast network available on the iHeart radio app appellate or wherever you get your podcast if one of us wins will we all win i'm ashley rightfeld and i'm the host of the women's skateboarding podcast good luck with that good luck with that is a skateboarding podcast that is part cultural record part news brief mostly group therapy and a place to talk about the past present and future of women and gender expansive skateboarding. This week, me and my co-host, Nora Vascenzelos
Starting point is 00:23:45 and Alex White, we have Fabiana Delfino on the show, a professional skateboarder from Florida whose crit was forged in a family of athletes. Tune in to hear how she broke into the boys' club, what it takes to be pro, and why just being grateful you're here shouldn't be the price of entry.
Starting point is 00:24:01 Maybe the industry thinks that we just started skating five years ago, because that's when they maybe started paying attention. It's a no-fluff conversation about putting in the years, stacking clips and receipts and still having to prove your worth while the industry catches up. You break down the door, sick now, like, hold the door for everyone. We created good luck with that because we want to share our experience of existing in an industry that wasn't always built for everyone.
Starting point is 00:24:23 So listen to good luck with that on iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Probably taught them off camera, you know. That's probably what I would have done different. You know, of course, I'm going to spit my mind and tell me what, and say what I need. what I see out there. But, you know, you know, it is what it is football, man. Just me and Shaddo are good. You know, it's stuff like that happens, you know.
Starting point is 00:24:49 Y'all gonna make it bigger than what it is, you know, because the meter, you know, that's what you feed off of negativity, you know, but it is what it is, this is the life you live. So, you know, we move on for it. And I live in real life, you know, so what happened around in this locker room, you know, just real, not what's going on on social media and everything. So me and shit all good.
Starting point is 00:25:09 everything good man we're great bill bill everything is magnified everything is magnified especially when you're losing obviously all the turmoil all the questions all the all the nor that because everything was magnified with with it magnified because what about the eagles oh it's magnified in their situation is magnified because even though they were winning during that time he had issues you had you know certain people individuals coming out you know having their displeasures, you know, posting stuff on social media. So it created, it created a firestorm. So it gave media something to talk about.
Starting point is 00:25:45 Over there, over there, excuse me, over there in Cleveland, obviously, the interaction between Judy, the animated interaction between Judy and goddamn centers on the sideline is something not new, not new, but it's new to them. It's new to them. Two players are not on the same page and their way of communicating, it wasn't the right way to communicate. It wasn't the right way. Now, if they were winning, if they were winning and they were, they were, they were, they were playing well all season long. Oh, it wouldn't be no problems. Something that they just sweep up, sweep right up under the rug. But listen,
Starting point is 00:26:19 to do her second start. Two of them, they're going at on the sideline. Oh, we got a motherfucker's story now. Yeah, talk to me, baby. Why we, why he got to be the media? The media job is the report. Oh, yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. You got these, you got these, you got these demonstrative antics, what do you think they think? And I told you, it could have been nothing, Ocho, but when you get animated like this
Starting point is 00:26:45 and all, Shadour was sitting down. And then all of a sudden, Shadour stands up and what do you think? Absolutely. Can I tell you something? Just say, look, guys, yeah, we could have had, I could have handled that situation better. I'm the vet in this situation. I should have handled that situation
Starting point is 00:27:01 a lot better than what I did. I saw something one way. he saw it another way whatever differences we had that could have been resolved behind closed doors I was always conscious of that old choice because I know you know I'm demonsting it because I already know so now you start yelling I start yelling you say something
Starting point is 00:27:22 and the one thing I don't ever want to go across a bridge that I can't go back across you say something in the heat of the moment you know drunk kids and angry people will tell you how they truly feel about you So you have to be careful when you're angry about what you say. So I was always conscious of that. If I had something to say to the quarterback, be it John, be it Greece,
Starting point is 00:27:46 be it Tony Banks, or Trent, I'm all, Jake Plummer, I always like, man, brother, this is what I was thinking. And so forth and so. But by the same token, I expected them to, you know, to give me that kind of grace also. Because I promise you, you show me up. You're not going to like my response. right right because if you bring it to me i got to give it back to you plus
Starting point is 00:28:10 yep because i got to make sure you get it because i don't want to be i don't want anybody so well i didn't get what you was yeah you got this here so that's why i was always conscious knowing the camera was around even not as many cameras as they have not oh cho but i understood people in the stands you getting animated they're getting animated ain't nothing i told you i told you happened to me one time yeah just like that but mine was Mine was in the field of play. Oh, we Monday night football. We plan the Steelers.
Starting point is 00:28:40 I'm already frustrated because they're not able to give me the ball. Everything they're doing. Ike right in front of me, safety over top. So you already know, I'm frustrated. So the ball, when I do get the balls, I mean, the balls that do come to me, it's going to be very few. And the one, boy, I'm open. I beat the double team.
Starting point is 00:28:59 The ball is not supposed to come to me. I told Carson on this, just give me a shot. I'm from to work these boys and Unk he over through he overshotted a little bit and long behold you know the camera already on me, man you know I already keep one chin strap
Starting point is 00:29:14 already unbuckled man I snap the other one I'm mad going back to the huddle Carson met me Carson met me halfway before you got out of the field if you ever motherfucker show me up like that again I won't throw another motherfucker ball
Starting point is 00:29:33 the rest of the again game just like that not playing no games but i ain't say nothing the rest of the game i ain't said none of the rest of the game because i understood who had the control and being able to get that ball to me yeah but one time it took me one time never never had issue again because i because i know how am mocho i look i understand his job isn't easy not it's not it not But I'm like, man, I wanted to say some stuff. But, no, I'm not going to show him up because you know what happened? You showed a guy up.
Starting point is 00:30:16 He threw it until you, you drop it. The ball goes through your hands, didn't get picked. Not everybody looking at you sideways. You say you wanted it. He threw it to you, you threw it back at him. Or you let, hey, you gave it to the other guy. I was always mindful of that, I really am. Even in the, I remember in college,
Starting point is 00:30:35 I used to like, just throw it. Just throw it out there. And I was just like, Coach David would grab me and say, son, I said, Coach, we go over this every day in practice. They can't guard me. That's all I'm saying. Coach, just give me a chance.
Starting point is 00:30:52 Just put it up. But I just like, like I said, like, look, look. Everybody is not as versed as dealing with the media because you understand, Ocho. It's a skill to that. It is, Ocho. I was very, very fortunate because I remember in college, I'm standing in front of the mirror. I'm talking to myself.
Starting point is 00:31:22 They asked me a question. I had a good game. This is how I'm going to respond. This is how I'm going to ask. If I had a bad game, I had a couple drops. I met some assignments. This is how I'm going to do it. So by the time I got there, I'm like, okay, you know, I'm looking at other guys.
Starting point is 00:31:37 I see Steve Atwater how he talked. I see Dennis Smith how he talks. I hang around a little while to watch Elway see how he talked to the media. I'm like, okay, okay, okay, try to stay level, try to stay, you know, even keel, not get, not get, you know, too disappointed. Obviously, yeah, sometimes I'm not going to have a game. I'm going to have a drop or two in a tough spot. but just trying to just like just to be level just to be understanding they got a job to do i understand
Starting point is 00:32:04 we all have jobs to do even though i didn't do my job to the best of my ability that doesn't excuse me from not helping you do your job i always understood that old joe and i tried to be professional always tried to be professional um and and in that aspect of it but it's it's not easy when you're not playing well and and and people like well the guy might have played better if such a but you would have played better. Yeah, I don't know. Yeah. It's just, it's, it's, it's,
Starting point is 00:32:35 but social media is hard now, Ocho. It'd been, you know, I don't know. What I've had fun with social media, yeah, I probably would have took some shots and some guys that I'm playing against. Absolutely, because that's just my nature. I couldn't help it. Let me see, you know what's funny is I didn't,
Starting point is 00:32:49 I didn't need social media. I use the media to take my shots. Yeah, but you have to understand. See, you and I were a little different. So my comparison, as far as taking shots, I would use a comparison with me and Steve Smith, Sr. Steve Smith, Sr., he's taking shots, and he meant that. Like, he meant every word he said if he's talking about somebody.
Starting point is 00:33:11 Now, my taking shots, my taking shots and sending gifts to the secondary as a whole, you already know it's entertainment. You already know it's entertainment is more of an invitation as to the competition in making sure, boy, you better be on your P's and Q's come Sunday. Better be on your better behavior. Listen, I didn't already get you bulletin to board material and that's up for you to be able to stop it. That's all. I mean, but, oh, man.
Starting point is 00:33:39 Well, if I could do it again, I do it the same way and add some more to it, but. Hey, I didn't came up with some great ideas, watching today's game that I wish I was still playing. I can go back and implement it then. Yeah. Bad Smitty, Bass Middy, Bass Middy, Bass, Bats, Biddy. I haven't watched many because I was,
Starting point is 00:33:58 I played a couple of years. Like I said, my last year in Baltimore, I went to the Pro Bowl, which was his first year, which was 2001, submitted first year was 2001. And he was at the Pro Bowl. He was at the Pro Bowl as a return of that year. So that was my really first introduction to him.
Starting point is 00:34:13 And, you know, he was always, he was always cool. He was, he has been always cool to me. He's always been respectful. He's always been great. But man, just watching him play, he's angry. He played like he's six five. He, he is, he's literally.
Starting point is 00:34:28 angry. Now, he'll catch a touchdown. And if it means that if I catch this touchdown and celebrate, I got to whip your ass in the corner of the end though, I'll do that too. If I got to fight you in the bill of the feet, hey, man, no, he bought that. You have to understand. Hey, chat, I don't know, I don't know if y'all know, does the chat know that Steve and I played at Santa Monica Junior College in L.A.? We played on the same team. So what the people with the world saw once he got to the NFL, hell, I saw that in 1997 and 1998 in LA he was the exact same way
Starting point is 00:34:59 he was a pit bull he was angry nobody might not have pissed him off but his style of play it was like somebody did some wrong to him like somebody pissed him off yeah and he said you know he's dealing with some issues and you know he's gotten counseling and he got counseling got better but
Starting point is 00:35:17 he's a lot better now man Smith used to be like Smith he damn all the time all the time you're on 12 He's fighting. Hey, listen, he's whipping teammates. He whipping the other team. You know, it doesn't matter who it is. Yeah. He's like, Sean, man, don't play with me. Hey, when you say don't play with him and leave that alone?
Starting point is 00:35:42 He mean that now. Don't let that size fool you. Everybody be talking, they talk reckless now. He's still, hey, he's still on that type of time now. Absolutely. He's still on that type of time. If a Lenovo gaming computer is on your holiday list, don't shop around. Just go directly to the source, Lenovo.com. I just want to remind everyone how good Rishie Rice was last season. And there's three healthy games. He was the wide receiver two in fantasy.
Starting point is 00:37:57 I think Rishi Rice just goes off this week. The Chiefs come on a flip pass to Rice. Their side, touchdown! Remandry Stevens is my sleeper this week. This is a match-out where I think I can slide in Stevenson into my flex position, and he could deliver double-digit points this week. Drake takes the snap, hands it off. Remodry running it right and running into the end zone.

For 25 years, I've explored what it means to heal, not just for myself, but alongside others. I'm Mike Delo Rocha. This is Sacred Lessons, a space for reflection, growth, and collective healing.
Starting point is 00:39:46 What do you tell men that are hurting right now? Everything's going to be okay on the other side, you know, just pushed through it. And, you know, ironically, the root of the word spirit is breath. Wow. Which is why one of the most revolutionary acts that we can do as people just breathe. Next to the wound is their gifts. You can't even find your gifts unless you go through the wound.
Starting point is 00:40:09 That's the hard thing. You think, well, I'm going to get my gifts. I don't want to go through all that. You've got to go through the wounds you're laughing. Listening to other people's near-death experiences, and it's all they say. In conclusion, love is the answer. Starting point is 00:40:34 Another streak that might be coming to an end on your Joe Mike Evans needs to average 172 yards per game in the remaining five games to hit 1,000 mark for the 12th consecutive season. Evans is currently tied with Jerry Wright for the most consecutive streaks at 11. The only difference is Evans all came to start a career. Will he make history, Ocho? It would be hard. It would be hard. I'm not sure if they can find a way to getting the ball
Starting point is 00:41:05 to be able to average that many yards with all the talent that they have over there offensively. Bucky Irvin is now back. He's healthy. Ibuka playing out his mind. Ted Johnson. So I think it would be difficult, especially when he does come back
Starting point is 00:41:22 I think defenses are still going to focus on him I think they're still going to focus on him based on what he, based on his resume and what he's done over an exterior just in the period of time and how dangerous he is in one-on-one situations. Has anybody ever averaged
Starting point is 00:41:39 172 yards over five games? That's very difficult to do. Hell yeah. This ain't madden. That's all the way. that's almost 800, 800 yards in five games. You know what's funny? Let's say if he was in an offense like maybe the Rams
Starting point is 00:41:59 or maybe the offense like the Seattle Seahawks, I could see him doing it. I can see it doing it, but that's not the type of offense that they have. He's able to get that. He's able to get those type of yards of that consistency for the past 11 years over an extended course of a season, not being able to do it in a short amount of time in a five-game span.
Starting point is 00:42:20 unless he goes crazy for a 300-yard game and then you consistently have a 75, then maybe a 120. Like, that's different. They ain't been a whole lot of 300-yard games. There's been a lot of 200-yard games, and a whole lot of 300. It's possible.
Starting point is 00:42:35 It's possible. You play against a team that has a defense coordinator that says, we're playing man. We don't give a goddamn hell who we plan. You're going to have to show us you can beat us. It's a possibility. Normally it's a guy with exceptional speed, Ocho, because you've got to break a big one.
Starting point is 00:42:54 If you go back and look at with a Megatron, Megatron had 15 for 320, I think Megatron had 13 or 14 for 329. Flipper had 15 for 339. Who else had a 300 yard game? I think Stefan Page, I think Stefan Page had, Jimmy Smith had 291 against the Ravens in 2000.
Starting point is 00:43:14 They might have not have been, they might be only five. six 300-yard games in the NFL. How many 300-yard games have been in history? Yeah. Yeah, that's it. Flip, flip had, flip had 330, had 339. 336, yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:37 Megatron had 329. Somebody had 306. Well, that's Jeff on page. 309. That was again Dallas, wasn't it? Who do you play for? Oh, crazy legs? No, I don't know no Jim Benton.
Starting point is 00:44:00 I was going to say Tom Fierrez. No. Who he played for? Ooh. Oh, hell, no, I get it. He played in the 50s. We can't count those. We don't know if the field was actually.
Starting point is 00:44:17 Who was it? Oh, Julio had 300 on the head against Carolina. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, when he caught that ball off the head of... Yeah, oh, Keeckley. Hey, Julio was... Gangster, what? Wow. Man, that's a...
Starting point is 00:44:37 That's a lot. That's a lot. That's a lot. I mean, you know, you've had guys had some two-fifties, two-60s, two-seventies. Like I said, Jimmy Smith had two-night. had 291 against us. Terran small, I've been on the field a couple of guys had 200.
Starting point is 00:44:53 The Terrence Small had 200 against us one year up with New Orleans. On that Monday night game, does Stefan Page have another 200-yard game against the Broncos in 1990? Ocho, you had a 260. Chase had a 263. I had a 260 or 209 and a 190.
Starting point is 00:45:16 Like, can take three, three weeks back to bunch of about going crazy. I don't know what the hell I ate. Well, I know what I ate. I ate McDonald's. But I, I was going, I went bananas. Okay. 336, 329. Wow.
Starting point is 00:45:43 Hey, the NFL need to let me come back, man. At least let me come back and kick. And do what? Be a kicker. Because listen, the game is, the game is not a day. How many he had that night? I was on the feet. And Step-Far Page had 206 against us on the Monday night.
Starting point is 00:45:59 You were killing y'all? I remember that. Yeah. He must, he has a small receiver home. Yeah, he was cooking us. I was like, damn. I ain't really knowing a whole lot about Star-on-Page. You know, I, I, I,
Starting point is 00:46:16 Look, I knew, like, obviously, the big-time receivers and everything. But, man, I say, damn, he's cooking in a slot. I don't know where he must have lined up off-size because we didn't cover it. They didn't know he was back there. Because he was cooking us, he was cooking us, Ocho. Jazz rookie Jackson Dart said he will not be spending his by week with friends and family. DART said it's all ball for me.
Starting point is 00:46:47 It's all ball. Just study and game playing. Ocho, how rare is this? I like it. Very rare. But obviously, you have a bi-week for a reason. You have a bi-week for a reason. It's a chance for you to mentally reset.
Starting point is 00:47:02 Go spend your time with your family and your friends, man. Ocho, he got to have a good time to reset. He got five more weeks. His season is going to be over. He can go get big. Stay in the game plan. You can stay in the game plan. You can do that.
Starting point is 00:47:13 You can do that with your family and your friends. no you can't you know damn where you instead of the playbook old let me ask you something we and we 14 right we and we 14 you're not going to the playoffs enjoy family and friends get your little mental reset so the next five weeks you can come in there fresh mentally reset and come in there and see if you can finish the season off strong and it's cute I like what you're doing but like come on now enjoy yourself man I think Steve de bird with the quarterback too for the Chiefs. Man, they were cooked us, man.
Starting point is 00:47:50 Steve the bird, the quarterback? Hey, what's the quarterback used to wear the, not the cowboy call, I had the, um. Oh, Steve Rogan. Nick Roll. Steve Rogan for the Patriots. Yeah, they goddamn donut. How do you play quarterback with a damn donut on?
Starting point is 00:48:10 I think it was the bird where the quarterback wasn't it. they uh man they run that place man they run that because they had Barry word and uh Christian a Corye so man when they run my can't Kansas City roll over that ball low show yeah oh yeah yeah they run it right and that's that's what's so amazing because uh Brian Schottenheimer is nothing like his dad his dad was like three yards in a cloud of dust and that bang out he ain't nothing like his dad uh buy week what'd you do in your bye week ocho did you go back to miami you go to Vegas what you do you know I'm gambling
Starting point is 00:48:59 I don't party hey by week I'm back in Miami relaxing I'm in the pool video games in the pool video games hot tub cold tub hot tub cold tub video games nothing nothing to do with football period yeah I'm talking about your only record a stat with a tackle on the punt yeah I got you yeah what you use that that tackling hey hooray hugged that thing up I beat them too I said oh he's gonna fair catch oh yeah he's gonna fair catch it you timed it are perfect no gain on the plate Hey, Shay with that gumma, man. Okay.
Starting point is 00:49:48 See? I was second on the special team to tackle my first year. I led special teams and tackle my second year. Me too, my first year. You don't know, special team. I did. My rookie year, I played special teams. I was the wherge buster.
Starting point is 00:50:04 I was the foe on the left. Boy, you too little. You ain't got enough ass to be no wedge buster. Are you forgetting when I came in as a rookie I was 240? Nah, you need to be. board the 240 to be the wedge buster. You got, hey, look here. You definitely tried to get a concussion.
Starting point is 00:50:20 You the wedge buster. Because back then, hold on, who did that? Who did that, Ocho, we just saw, oh, man, they had them big old dude. It might have been Seattle. And they had them, they had, uh, 94 and 95 was running out there just cleaning people clock. Because back, because back when I first got, they don't let you do it that,
Starting point is 00:50:41 they used to hold hands. So you had guy, you had two de-tackled in the offensive lineman. So you had damn there over 3,000 pounds in front of you. Man. Damn. Man, we played the Raiders one year in Barcelona. Rich, uh, Richard Smith with our special teams coach. Now, I think he's a linebacker's coach somewhere.
Starting point is 00:51:10 But he was up in meeting and saying, I won't, we start. We're storming the beach. This is Normandy. We're storming the effing beach. I want someone to go over the top and make a play. I'm sitting around. I don't know who you're talking to.
Starting point is 00:51:25 It ain't me. Because I had no gave my spot. As a matter of fact, gave my spot to Anthony Lynn. I won't see somebody over the top and make a play. Show enough. Who kicked that bag off? You caught it.
Starting point is 00:51:44 They had that three men wedge. A-Lead over the top. Broken leg. Broken leg. Broken leg. Hell no. Oh, no. Not saying.
Starting point is 00:52:04 I had to get up off there, Ocho, because I had played special team. I was, and Coach Reed was wondering why Ocho, I was tired. Think about Ocho. I'm still the gunner in 92, but now I'm starting to start and play more.
Starting point is 00:52:19 Coach Reed, wonder why I'm tired. Coach, I just did a full, I had to beat two guys, do a full out sprint 50 yards, and then you talk about go right until the game. Okay, I run a play, okay, we don't get, I run a play. Oh, Joe, we don't get the first down. I got to come in and be the gunner,
Starting point is 00:52:36 and he's talking about, get down the field. What? So I'm like, Man, please. Your conditioning got to be crazy, crazy to be able to do all that. Because you see, hey, you see guys tap and come in get a play. Just by look, I come out on special teams, they get a big punt return. That's my fault.
Starting point is 00:53:04 But then with the days. I mean, look, special teams, I don't know how effective I could have been with this style of a kick, you know, kick off Ocho and kick return. Because you know, hey, boy, we just, a blind side. Crack box. Them peel blocks. Hey, it's hard to peel blocks somebody. First of all, you can't do it.
Starting point is 00:53:26 You got to do this. Open your arms up and just standing away. That's the gist of what you can do. Good boy, hey, somebody be thinking they're running. Bro, you think you're running all the way down there. You think they're just going to let you run all the way downfield. Ain't nobody going to block you. They're going to catch you.
Starting point is 00:53:47 Hey, you better keep that head on a swivel. You're going to be looking at your hole. You got to keep your head on swivel, Ocho. You got to keep your head on a swivel. Boy, there was a day, man. Ocho, I was just, I was thinking about it like, I wonder if somebody would have actually said if I wasn't who I was. Because I just, like, this was 93.
Starting point is 00:54:09 And Richard Smith, our special teams coach. and we're in a meeting and he's talking about how he wants us to be violent, he wants us to strike and everything. He said, I want to have the best kick return and plump return. He wanted to have the best team's alive. So he's like,
Starting point is 00:54:24 this is what I want. I want violence. I want people to be reckless. I want people to be afraid to play the different Broncos special teams. I say, I say, Rich, you want to lead the NFL and kick returns? He stopped the film,
Starting point is 00:54:40 that's what I'm talking about this is a pro bow all pro tight in saying he want to lead the league and kickoff return I say we'll take me off my man gonna make the tackle every time hey if y'all if anybody know Richard Smith asked anybody then and that was in that he stopped it I was like hey well you need to take me off my man gonna make the tackle Every time. That's funny, boy. A. Lynn, that's how A. Lee, Anthony Lynn,
Starting point is 00:55:15 used to be coach, the Jazz, used to, was the coach, I think it was the coach. Now, who's the coach of the, the Chargers? Oh, you play with Coach Lynn? Yeah, I played with A. I didn't know that, okay. Yeah. Richard Smith with a special team coach, A. Lynn had just got there.
Starting point is 00:55:34 But A. Lynn ended up in, it ended up making a team, he was a foolback for us, but he made the team on special teams. he's the bear's linebacker coach okay that's my guy all right oh joe it's time to get out here on this is time for our final segment of the evening it's time for cue and a oh man hey hey tell us more about the kitchen now we're going to leave cookie where we're at cookie a husband a boyfriend might be mad because i'm sure somebody go there's a plenty of cookies they don't know it just one cookie there's a lot of different type of cookie cooking cooking be Oreo, oatmeal, raven, chocolate chip,
Starting point is 00:56:12 Rick, crackers. If you understand the way God, if you understand the way God work, cookie, cookie is available, huh? Cookies available. Not to me. My bad. I forgot you got a little, you got a little, listen. Yeah, show them.
Starting point is 00:56:28 Show do. And y'all see, and y'all saw Dr. Bryant talking through how I should do my relationship. You saw Dr. Brown. Yeah, I saw, I saw it. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, I should have been there for that because I got some questions for Ms. Brian.
Starting point is 00:56:46 Would you want to put you in touch? I can put it in touch with you. No, she don't want to sit down with me. Oh, no. Sabius said, Ocho, by week with every week with them sorry, a bingles. Dang, Ocho, he said y'all was on the buy week every week. I don't know, I don't, they might have been on the buy week,
Starting point is 00:57:01 but I was out there putting them numbers. Uh, Samari Rae 6704 says Judge Judas is so buns Smith is right, he's just the jag Now what they call, that's what they call Jerry Jew They call this man Judas now Kevin Boknight If y'all lose
Starting point is 00:57:29 And the buffet in locker room Go ahead on, man. Hey, who the Broncos got this week, huh? Who we got this week? Raiders? We got the Raiders. Yeah, that's a crap game. Y'all going to lose that.
Starting point is 00:57:49 Yep, y'all going to lose that one. Did not tell you, didn't I tell we go sweep the NSA East? Did we not sweep the NSA East? You didn't hear what I just said. If you understand the way of the game of football? works for some reason the ratings are going to beat y'all now i i said it here first i'm not being disrespectful to broncos fans i'm just saying that's the way football goes uh uh that's what you you said you said the commander was going to say that how they're going to know he ain't
Starting point is 00:58:22 he didn't have no jane daniels old school five one three sincey with the browns opening the 21 day practice windows for Deshawn Watson. Do you see him taking another snap with the Cleveland Browns? Oh, that's a great question. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. Do they throw him in there and he hasn't had any opportunity to have training camp? He hasn't
Starting point is 00:58:44 had any opportunity to go with the ones. I don't think so but I think he's on the roster next year. And if they're not happy with the way the season ends with your door at the helm, maybe Deshawn Watson is the quarterback next year. They still owe him. How much did he?
Starting point is 00:59:00 still owed them. Don't they got another year or two on that contract? They probably still owe another $70, $80 million. So he is only on the hook for $46 million next year. That's it. Yeah, only. Deshawn Allen, what's up, Uncano?
Starting point is 00:59:37 My question is, how difficult it is for y'all to choose the right agent to represent you and make the right decisions? Well, it's difficult. I had several agents, the agent that I started with, and then for my second contract, I had a different agent, and for my third contract, I had a different agent. and so the agent that I got for my fourth contract, in 96, he's still my agent today. So almost 30 years I've had one guy.
Starting point is 01:00:06 But it's hard. It all depends on what you're looking for for an agent. Some agents, all they want to do is contracts. Some agents have an agency where they'll handle everything. They'll pay your bills. They'll have somebody do your taxes. They'll do all that other stuff. Whatever you need, they have, you know, some people now, you know, a lot of people go to CAA, or they go to,
Starting point is 01:00:27 what's the WME or they go to what's the other UTA but they do the Wasserman group it just all depends because now you want marketing and you want advertising
Starting point is 01:00:41 and you want to try to build a business or you want to do TV so it's just it's hard I mean you know just do your research and what are you looking for that's the main thing you have to ask yourself what are you looking for
Starting point is 01:00:53 are you looking for somebody to just do TV contracts and that's it or you want somebody to do TV contracts and position you in TV for when you're done, that's a whole different story. But it's not easy at all. I think also, you know what, when you say it's not easy,
Starting point is 01:01:08 I think another thing that makes things easy regardless of who your agent is is who the player is you're talking about. Who's the player? What does it do on the field? Because sometimes the player on the field makes the goddamn agent job extremely easy. Makes it very easy.
Starting point is 01:01:24 So I had two agents my whole career. First agent, obviously, come to my rookie year, Jerome Stanley. Jerome Stanley, phenomenal, phenomenal. He set me up big time, not just being my agent. He set me big time even now where some of the stuff that he put in place during my rookie year still has me able to survive years beyond me playing the goddamn game. And then obviously after that, I was with the Shark, who I consider one of the better agents in the NFL, Drew Rosenhouse.
Starting point is 01:01:53 And I think about the movie Jerry McGuire, you know, and I picture, you know, that's who Drew is, you know, in real life. Drew and Jerry McGuire. He's going to squeeze and get you every goddamn penny he can, you know, especially if you're not a player that's of status. Big name. You know, oh, he's going to get you what you won't. And he's going to get you what you need. So for me, I was very fortunate and only having two agents. And those two I did have, Jerome Stanley, you know, I'm sure you'll see this.
Starting point is 01:02:23 If I never had a chance to tell you thank you. I'm going to tell you thank you now again because of what you done back then when I was a rookie. Well, still to this day, man, I'm floating. Boy, I'm floating high. I appreciate it. My first agent was my brother's agent because, look, I wasn't going to make no whole lot of money
Starting point is 01:02:39 and I didn't want to give up no $3,000 or no $63,000. So he's like told my brother he'd do the contract for free. So. Oh. Uh, Dylan Bennett, the Falcons have more sacks than the Cowboys, but they don't miss Micah. True and infamous, Micah and Green Bay getting sacks after sack every week. How many sacks does Cowboys defense combined have this year? Combined, I don't think they have 12 and a half.
Starting point is 01:03:12 I hope they got 12 and a half. I hope. But Michael, but, uh, Michael, Miles Garrett definitely have more sacks. than some teams. Cowboys have 29. Okay, my bad. Damn, they 20, what,
Starting point is 01:03:29 they 20 something behind, 21, 22 behind the Broncos? Because I think the Broncos leave with 51. Broncos going crazy. That got Benito and, what's the other young bull on the other side of Benito? Cooper.
Starting point is 01:03:43 What a boy, nice, boy. Who next close to him? Uh, yeah, and then you got Zach Allen in the middle. So, uh, Brandon Martinez, Dallas fans, don't let this loss get to you. This is the NFC is tougher than the LFC. Watch Brian Shott and have it turned this franchise around. We had a bad start, but we have a future. Just watch.
Starting point is 01:04:14 Why are you looking like that? I don't know. I mean, how many, how many, how many, how many, how many, how many, how many, teams in the NFC have double-digit wins? Because I can name two in the AFC that got double-digit wins. The Broncos and the Patriots. Both of them got one got 11, the other got 10. So how many teams in the NFC since you say it's tougher have more than 10 or 11 wins?
Starting point is 01:04:36 Do you think that might be the reason why he's saying it's tougher? Because the level of competition is so even as opposed to the Patriots running through the easy and what he may consider the easy. You know, the Patriots are good and the Cowboys are. that's what I make of that that's that's what I make of it that's that's what I make of it a TG 072185 hey guys I don't see how the league has no issue replaying a concussion we don't need to keep seeing that treat it like other gruesome injuries I mean
Starting point is 01:05:20 Okay. What caused you the game? I hate to say it, but Jared Jones is going to go to the grave before he see another Super Bowl, shaking my head. Look, they got, they've got to, they have an offense that's capable. They have one of the better offenses. I mean, I think they lead the league in total yards.
Starting point is 01:05:45 They can score points. They can't stop anybody. See, now if you can't stop anybody, that show, and let's just say for the sake of art, you can't stop anybody or you get stopped, you settle for three. Next thing, you know what I mean? And now all of a sudden it's boom.
Starting point is 01:06:01 You down 10-3. Now you're down 17-3. Now you're down 17-6. Now you're down 24. It's hard. It's hard to play like that. Y'all keep saying the Patriot schedule is pretty easy. Y'all believe the Cowboys can beat the Patriots.
Starting point is 01:06:20 Y'all believe the Cowboys can beat the Broncos? Because if I'm not mistaken, I think the Broncos played the Cowboys. Y'all realize y'all lost to the Cardinals. So what if the Cardinals are going to the playoffs? Y'all keep on talking about the schedule. Think about, look at the team that y'all lost to. How the Cardinals are looking?
Starting point is 01:06:47 Hey, Jacoby Brissette throwing for 1,000 yards every game. And did it on y'all? Jacobi Brissette got a starting job in the NFL thanks to y'all on a Monday night. Do y'all remember that? Because I do. Tino Davis, do y'all know even if Micah, hold on, do y'all know even with Micah they were trash? So I guess they're sanitation now or garbage.
Starting point is 01:07:17 Because which is worse? Trash or garbage? All I know, Grieve ain't looking pretty good to me. Yeah. Look, hey. All I know is Green Bay getting out for the quarterback. That man got 12 and a half sacks.
Starting point is 01:07:37 Y'all keep, all I know is Michael Parsons has done something no other player has done in his career. Start their career off with at least double-digit-s. You got 12. He started his career with 12 sacks. Think about all the great players, all the great sackers. He's the only one has done that.
Starting point is 01:07:59 Fianz NJ, who love a cookie boy, Santa or unc. That's a good one. Man, my home boy, Bucking is going to call me tomorrow, man. What the hell you say, man? Man, what you talk about? Man, my phone was blowing up. uh mclova oh i played golf with your brother recently very cool guy ocho you hell my boy never changed today's my birthday fella 35 any advice yeah little mate to get 36 what's your advice
Starting point is 01:08:36 ojo yeah i'm trying to think 35 maybe that was so long ago i can't i can't remember 35 I was still playing uh no you were I would just fit I was that's my transition I had just finished yeah I had just finished too I just that was my last season um I retired that was good old town who man what I get to be 35 one more time I got a joke for you real quick. Oh, God, have mercy. What's the joke?
Starting point is 01:09:22 Hey, chat, y'all ready? What do you call a deaf gynecologist? Yeah, what do you call a deaf gynecologist? What'd you call it, Mocho? A lip reader. A lip reader. Hey, Ocho. I got your man car today.
Starting point is 01:10:14 Should I put you or Joy Galloway as my ex? What you think, uh? Hey, put me, put me. Man, Joy Galloway has to beat. Man, that joke was so fast, don't you? And, hey, always hold the ball like this. He pawing the ball. He rumbered the ball.
Starting point is 01:10:29 Hey, but Joey was fast, boy. Yeah, man. Because he was with Seattle first before he got traded to the Cowboys. So he was with Seattle, so we saw him twice a year. Man, that picture told Rasker could run, boy. Oh, Joe, man, the first time I saw him, that joke was so pitiful. and told I ain't know where to say hello or throw bird seed.
Starting point is 01:10:49 But that's, I ain't know what you. Hey, one thing. He could pick him up and put him down, boy. What? He could go. And a whole lot of receivers that came out of Ohio State that couldn't run. Horace Kidwell, my nine under Buffalo stampede has lost the regional championship game 1312 last week. Pop Warner National still invited us this weekend with a chance to win the Super Bowl.
Starting point is 01:11:16 PEP talked to the kids about second chances. That's it, see? You just had delayed success. All is not lost. You still got an opportunity to get the ultimate destination. Man, come on, bro. This is our second chance. A lot of people don't get second chances.
Starting point is 01:11:33 You got one. Let's make the most of it. Darkborn, Dallas got powder puff schedule remaining. Vikings, charges, Washington, and the Giants. Powder puff, the charges. Guess what? That's what the charge is saying. They're looking at Dallas on their schedule and said,
Starting point is 01:11:52 we got a powder puff schedule. Y'all make it seem like Dallas, like 10, y'all make it seem like y'all got 10 wins. You don't? Aaron Jones, I told you guys last night, bills are trash for what they did. They knew Slate only wanted to play for the Eagles. now you forced him into retirement shaking my head how saying hey
Starting point is 01:12:19 hey maybe they thought he could help exactly which is why which is why they went and got him you do realize teams are not trying to help other teams win on show you did they know that don't show T-scarer car-wise detail. Oh, if you interview Ted Kevin Gates, that would melt the internet when the cat part two coming. That goddamn Kevin Gates funny, boy.
Starting point is 01:13:00 Yeah, I see him from time and time. We tried to sit up something. It didn't happen. Hey, you know, Kevin Gates would do stupid. I'm talking about crazy numbers. because you don't know what he's going to say and Charleston White would do crazy numbers
Starting point is 01:13:21 and Charleston White? Oh, yeah. Oh, man, man, listen, man. He won't get close to cat, but he damn sure going to be up there. And then he's somebody that can talk about any topic. Like, people might think he's a fool and talk crazy,
Starting point is 01:13:44 no he calculated he'd say some outlandish stuff but uh you know a lot of his stuff a lot of his stuff you know it resonates he be on point stuff go bird's 800 hey unc and ocho y'all forgot about prime josh gordon and cleveland if not for his mistakes yeah i think that i think it was that that 2014 season if i'm not mistaken i might have i might have a year wrong but boy not yeah it might have been 2014 25 you might be right ocho yeah you might be right crazy When he had those back-to-back 200-yard games. Oh, he led to, actually he let, I think he missed the first two games that led the league and receiver with 60 hundred yards.
Starting point is 01:14:29 Bungee Vision TV. Oh, can you get guys pleased to create a segment call, take it or leave it, where we ask y'all questions and you give us advice, the kind of advice OBJ needed. I don't think OBJ, look, he said he was just talking about in general. Ocho and I was talking about in general. We were just saying if somebody is spending $4 million in expenses a year and you don't have a business,
Starting point is 01:15:01 it's just hard for me to see somebody spending that kind of money that doesn't have a business. Now, if you, Jay-Z, if you wanted LeBron, when you got 24-hour security, you Kevin Hart, when you got that kind of security, I get it then I do but look at the kind of money LeBron and Kevin Hart and Hove and Bay look at kind of and you know Taylor Swift look at kind of a drink look at the kind of money they're making hey yeah I mean it takes money
Starting point is 01:15:29 yeah you they're gonna be protected out the yin-yang but I just can't mean could you imagine I'm not I'm not I'm not spending I'm not spending on 5075 thousand I'm not for those damn cleats to play in no game. I don't give a damn what they are. Hey, can you imagine what Kevin Hart or LeBron overhead is every month? Yeah, I can imagine, yes. You got 24-hour security, Ocho. 24 hours.
Starting point is 01:15:58 I mean, look, LeBron fly with the team, but LeBron flies private. He ain't got no choice. Yes, when you go, when you go somewhere, you get in a yacht, you get in a yacht for a week or two, probably $120,000, you know, a week. You stand in the suite, the presidential suite, probably $5,000, $10,000 a night.
Starting point is 01:16:19 Different. Yeah, absolutely. Different. But the thing that really would really get you, if you got kids and you're not married and you have them in a state, you know, kids could be anywhere between 1,500 a month, the 25, 30, 40, 50,000 a month.
Starting point is 01:16:40 Now, tack on, you know, 10, 15, $20,000 a year private school. So money go fast, Ocho. Damn. But hopefully OJ, OJ, OBJ took care of his money. He made good money. He was a first round draft pick. And he had endorsements. Big time.
Starting point is 01:17:05 He had a Nike deal. I mean, so he did. So hopefully everything's okay. Hopefully everything works out with OBJ. Ocho and I, even though he were discussing, we were just saying, I said if he spent $4,000, $4 million a year, an overhead. That's crazy.
Starting point is 01:17:22 That's crazy. King Payne 21. Oh, geez. Odefolke keep telling us what would happen to the game when so much money gets involved. No more heart and love for the game, only the bag in 4K. Yeah, it's, look, bro, it's tough, man.
Starting point is 01:17:43 I mean, you tip your hat, the guys, Ocho, that when they get the bag, they still play as if they broke. You look at a Brady, you look at a Manning, you look at a Jordan, you look at a Jordan, you look at some of these guys, oh, Joe. They still play like they broke, like they're destitute. And then you see some guys get it, man, they just, you know. Yeah. I'm trying to get, I'm trying to get another contract.
Starting point is 01:18:10 So y'all found some, y'all found $100 million, $200,000, man. Let me try to get another. They might got free forward for you, don't you? That's how you and I think. Everybody don't think like that. As 370, hard knocks made me get back on the Eagles. We're going to run this ish. And we're going to win the Super Bowl.
Starting point is 01:18:28 Also, Slay wants to come home, what y'all think? Yeah, we talked about it earlier. I think that's the only thing I could think of. I mean, mentally. I think, you know, Slave must have been checked out. I'm sure they probably mutually agreed to part ways because things weren't working out over there
Starting point is 01:18:43 in Pittsburgh. And I'm sure he was hoping. Can you imagine, Ocho? You're in Cincinnati. You healthy. You had a great week of practice and you're a healthy scratch. I don't like that.
Starting point is 01:19:02 They see. do locante watch the game at home the best seats in the house all you can eat and drink true true man I should you know what I'm gonna find out I'm gonna find out I'm gonna call my guy call my guy at uh at the Broncos and see how much the cheapest weed is because I I'm trying to think I went to hold on I just go to the Rams I just go to the game and I went to us went to the suites a couple of times as a matter of fact I went to a Matthew Stafford I was with with his wife Kelly she's great she's unbelievable she's really really really down the earth and I can't I don't know if I can say that about a whole
Starting point is 01:19:51 lot of NFL quarterback's wife but she is really really down to earth if you didn't know who she was just talking to her you would never know her husband is Matthew Stafford that's the impression I got now I can't say would everybody else, how she was with everybody else. I'm just saying how she was with me. Benji 97, Star Cup, Marsha Fogg, Adrian Peterson, LaDaney and Thomason. All I know is Marshall Falk won a Super Bowl.
Starting point is 01:20:18 He's a league MVP and a three-time officer player the year. Adrian Peterson and Lidanean-Thomason both won MVP's. Damn. Yeah. Hey, that's a tough one. About time, you got one. Damn. Ooh, Lord.
Starting point is 01:20:41 Marshall and La Danian are really, like, very, very similar. AP didn't catch a whole lot of passes. Not saying that he couldn't, but that's not what his forte was. He is an old school, old school, old school, old school, old school, old school, old school running back. Hand it to him, toss it to him. Woo. Nobody scored. like L.T.
Starting point is 01:21:06 The game is about scoring, so I got to keep LT. Got to keep him. Damn. Damn it, I'm cutting everybody. I don't want none of them. Back and back,
Starting point is 01:21:27 London Pye, keep it up. Your Ocho, good cookie on the show. That segment will be fine. Well, you're going to have it on the show, I ain't going to be here. uh levin levester what's up unginocho can you give a special shout out to my girlfriend jazzy she had a rough week and needs a little motivations thank you uh thank you and keep doing your thing jazzy what's going on hopefully you're feeling better i know a lot of jazis uh that's a very
Starting point is 01:21:55 common name jasmine probably named jasmine but anyway jazzy uh your man said uh you had a very very rough week We don't know what caused that week, but you know Sunshine Father's Rain. Pick your head, keep your head up, put one foot in front of the other, and realize Sunshine Father's Rain. Whatever you're going through, just know God got you.
Starting point is 01:22:15 And you're going to come out on the other side being even better than when you went in. We love you here at nightcap, Jazzy. Brian B.B. Gaming. Ocho, did you really sleep at the stadium for a bed? Yeah, I'll live it. What the hell of you talk about? Where'd you sleep?
Starting point is 01:22:32 Where'd you watch TV, et cetera. What about if a batty pulled up? Ain't no baddie pulled up. I was locked in. But Players' lounge, players lounge had everything. Couches, video games, cable, pinball machine, PlayStation, Xbox was in there at the time, cafeteria.
Starting point is 01:22:48 I mean, everything was there. All the amenities that you would have in a house, me coming from nothing, going from college, only having, you know, what, four months of college? So, I mean, I was content. I was content. It wasn't like I was coming from a four-year institution and big PWI and
Starting point is 01:23:04 I'm saving that money what's the point of spending money on a place when everything I need is right here at work Kevin I don't know how to say last name bro but it's you Kevin you should reach out to former USC Walco Owen Hanson for Club Shesh
Starting point is 01:23:25 he has an unbelievable story which much more than could be told Okay. Wish you to give us a little insight. Eric Jordan Scott, Uncle don't you need your help with one. Kennesaw State or Jackson, Jacksonville State, Prayer View, A&M, Jackson State or North Texas or Tulane. Kennesaw State's in Georgia.
Starting point is 01:23:51 I think they're pretty good. I don't really know a whole lot about Jacksonville State. Prayer View, A&M, I know about them. I know about Jackson State. North Texas. Isn't that where it means your green went? Didn't he go to North Texas and Tulane, the green wave? I don't know anybody went there, but, hey.
Starting point is 01:24:18 Uh, Ocho, where should he go? Kennesaw State, Jacksonville State, Prairie View, Jackson, North Texas, or Tulane? I mean, I don't know what you, what you're imagining, what you're looking for. I mean, my, my baby just went to prayer of your A&M. She just graduated, so I don't know much about the other schools. I never got the chance to experience the HBCU, so I would say prayer view. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, he's all over the place.
Starting point is 01:24:53 I mean, he got some HBCUs, he got some BWI, so I don't really know what he's looking for. HBLOG, Sump, Uncle, I saw they're doing an LWA documented on Netflix. Can't wait to see it. What other team or sports would you like to see a documentary or series, Ocho? Another team or an individual player? It's a team or a series? Let me see a team or like. First of all, you know LeBron is going to have a documentary.
Starting point is 01:25:20 Yeah, of course. Because he got cameras following him all the time. But his story, we all know his story because everything is, it's like, it's live. we've lived it we've lived this entire story right mm-hmm they should do a doc did they do a documentary on Kobe I'm not sure he did his own trying to think who was really interesting I'm trying to think what should who should get a documentary it got to be somebody interesting too though yeah you same boat uh Damn, that's a great question.
Starting point is 01:26:07 No. Ocho, you should do a documentary. Well, my story's not finished yet, though. Dave, the Dundee, 74, Elkan, Ocho, much love the nightcap family. Best three to five beer your ping pong bowling dice. Who's winning between? Well, I'm winning in cards. I'm winning in dice.
Starting point is 01:26:32 I'm probably going to win the pool. Ping pong is a toss up. If my hips don't stiff it up in frames five, six, and seven, I got it. You got who? Ocho, single. I mean, everything, everything they just named, everything they just. You're not beat me in cards. You're not beat me in dice or no cars, man.
Starting point is 01:26:53 You not beat me in no dice or no cars, man. What do you talk? You ain't beat me in no ping pong, let alone pool. You name and, you nameing things. I was an expert at a high school. Come on, now. Marlon Spive and Unc, the Radeo is going on in Vegas. The rodeo is going on this week on in Vegas for 10 nights, starting tonight.
Starting point is 01:27:19 You should hit it up if you have some free time. You know what? I might stop by and see the day. I might see the rodeo. I don't know any of the famous bulls. You don't get on the ring bull while you out there. I don't go to where. I don't need to be on no rank, bull.
Starting point is 01:27:34 Samuel Ramirez, 6704, Uncle Don't Cho, much love. I've been struggling. I'm 26, but y'all are preaching to me. I'm grateful to be alive still, teaching some wisdom. Hang in there, bro. Hang in there. Keep fighting. Lock in day to day.
Starting point is 01:27:49 Saw your cars in 7826. When you start losing yourself, how did you find it again? And if you haven't found yourself yet, what advice for people to do so? Love y'all. you know those saying is that self is not something you find self is something you create now it's easy to get caught up in a lot of different things uh money uh praise adulation um but who are you before you had any of that who were you at your cold you at your cold Who are you?
Starting point is 01:28:34 Football, that's what I did. That's not who I am. Glenville, Georgia, no, that's where I'm from. That's not who I am. So you have to go back to the very beginning before you had all this fame, before you had all this attention, before you had money, before you had anything.
Starting point is 01:28:55 If I take all that away, who are you? What are you? How are you? what would you be sometimes things get sometimes things times get hard i'm living testament to that sometimes you like damn lord but i just realize i'm like bro i i know god you didn't bring me this far to bring me this far to leave me now i just got to trust in you i just got to believe that there's a message and everything that that that i'm going through right now and boy y'all know I've been in the storm.
Starting point is 01:29:30 Very few people have had their storm play out on national television. People got an opportunity to track my storm, just like they track Kekina, just like they track Andrew. But. And there are times that like, Lord, have mercy. But every day I was able to open my eyes, like, okay, I got another day. Got another day.
Starting point is 01:30:01 Boy, I'm telling you, it ain't easy sometimes. It's not. It's not. That's when you got to have people that, that you know, care about you and you care about them. Man, man, Bucket, man, Bucket called me every day. Every day. Burns.
Starting point is 01:30:21 I just want to hear your voice. We're going to be all right. And we are. I thank you guys, because, man, it was, there are some days I didn't want to do this. But then I thought about what else am I going to do, sit and think and feel sorry for myself? Nah, I couldn't, I couldn't succumb to those thoughts.
