Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an iHeart Podcast. I'm Michael Kassin, founder and CEO of 3C Ventures and your guide on Good Company, the podcast where I sit down with the boldest innovators shaping what's next. In this episode, I'm joined by Anjali Sood, CEO of 2B. We dive into the competitive world of streaming. Would others dismiss as niche we embrace as core? There are so many stories out there. And if you can find a way to curate and help the right person discover the right content, the term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen. Starting point is 00:00:40 podcasts. Hi, I'm Sarah Spain, host of Good Game with Sarah Spain and the co-author of the new book Runs in the Family, an incredible true story of football, fatherhood and belonging written with and about Las Vegas Raiders running backs coach Dylan McCullough. It's the story of a football coach and father of four who sees his life forever changed by the unsealing of his adoption records. And it's got a twist you won't believe. Based on the viral ESPN story I did a few years ago, this book will blow your mind and bring you to tears.
Starting point is 00:01:14 Buy runs in the family wherever books are sold. The Volume Ocho, Adam Sandler will cast Derrick Henry in a movie if, if he runs for another 2000 yards. Adam Sandler sent Henry a message saying 2000 yards plus this year not only gets you in a movie but I'll have a nice dinner together and talk about Dan Patrick facial hair and how hard it is for him to grow. I love you, keep it up.
Starting point is 00:01:51 Henry, one of nine players to ever produce a 2,000 yard rush season, he did it in 2020. If he eclipses 2,000 yards in 2025, he'll become the first player ever to record two 2,000 yard seasons and could earn a cameo in a movie. the NFL in twenty NFL is 106, 107 years old. Yeah. Nobody has ever done 2000, twice. Right.
Starting point is 00:02:31 Yeah, man, I need, I need, I need about 10, 15 minutes. Yeah, listen, he's in the right situation to do it. He's in the right situation to do it. You know, over there with Lamar, Brother Bateman, Brother, Brother Zay Flowers. Listen, if Bateman. Hey, he got 2000, they'd have listened to me early, instead of putting him in that offset eye and putting him. Yeah, yeah, yeah, brother, brother Zay Flowers. Listen, if he got 2000, they
Starting point is 00:02:47 didn't listen to me early instead of putting him in that offset eye and putting. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, listen, they know now. They know now. told him man, man, shut up. You don't know what you put the man in the eye. Yeah. He's an eye
Starting point is 00:03:04 back. Yeah. Yeah. Because he, Ocho, the thing is he needs to get ahead of steam. He ain't one of them quick back, the jump stop like Saquon. Saquon, Jameer Gibbs can run out, can run out the off set. Montgomery could do that too, yeah. Yeah, yeah. That's not, but that's not him. He's an old school, he's a Emmett Smith, he's a Bo Jackson, a Herschel Walker.
Starting point is 00:03:24 He's a Eric Dickerson, He's that guy. Put his heels at nine, tossing the ball. Yeah. And in the ball. Mm hmm. Yeah. They they they bulljotted around the first three, four games. He's going to have 2000. Could have had it. Yeah. You know, he might hit it. You got to realize that was his first season there. Mm hmm. That was his first season in the offense. So now he's already acclimated. He knows the plays, you know, the they understand what he can and can't do.
Starting point is 00:03:55 They understand his strengths. And I'm crazy for even saying they understand his weaknesses as well and what not to do with him. Man, no telling what he gonna run for it. Yeah. Oh Joe scary Terry McLaurin is reportedly frustrated on a long term deal. Yes sir. According to Jordan Schultz Terry McLaurin has made it clear to the team that he's frustrated with the lack of progress on a long term deal. Yeah as I previously reported McLaurin unexpectedly left voluntary workouts after initially attending and it
Starting point is 00:04:27 remains to be seen whether he'll report to mandatory minicamp. McLaren, McLaren is entering the final year of his contract and talks have been minimal. Yeah. You see, you see how they do you. You see how they do you. He does everything right. He does everything he's supposed to say. He's a captain. He's the perfect professional. You know what? He is like Larry from Gerald reincarnated and I'm talking about his approach to the game, saying all the right things, being a team leader,
Starting point is 00:04:55 but to see what they see, how they do you, you do everything the right way. When it was time to repay you for doing everything the right way, they play with you. Why? Because it's about business. It's always been about business. I think he's going to get what he deserves. He can get his deal done. They understand how important he is to and for that offense.
Starting point is 00:05:15 And if anything, I think Jane Danes at some point steps in and interferes and says, let's get this job. Let's get this deal done. Same way. Joe Burrow did with T Higgins, the same way Joe Burrow did with Jamar Chase. I'm not here to play no games. I need my number one target to be here.
Starting point is 00:05:33 Do what you need to do to get it done. They do, man. I hate, I hate it to do this. Guys that be professional, do everything, do all the right things, play hard, be leaders on and off the field, and when it's come time to get y'all, y'all drag y'all feet.
Starting point is 00:05:52 It don't matter. All that don't matter. All that don't matter, man. That's just for, cause when it come time to it, they gonna play you every time. Yeah. You might as well, you might as well, I can fool.
Starting point is 00:06:04 Just be yourself. Whatever, you might well you might be a fool. Just be yourself whatever whatever that may be some people have to play the game. Some people just choose to be themselves. We at the end of the day, they're going to play both us no matter how
Starting point is 00:06:20 you approach it. Hopefully, uh scary Terry get something done because he's been a model citizen and he's played extremely well for them Ram safety cam curl said he's done playing man No, Joe after they published a trailer of him getting juke. Dot by Saquon. Yeah cam curl. He tweeted like L Laugh my you know what off? Yeah, I ain't playing man this year Why they do be like that dog been playing all my life and how about first thing from the trailer gonna be? Hey, listen, it's all good. It happened to the best of us. There are a lot of you say it's all good but they ain't
Starting point is 00:06:51 got that hit that Ray put on you on there. Oh, man. Hey, well, listen, it continues to replay still 20 years later. I have a long. Well, this is Madden. This man. Oh, Joe, you know how many people go get that mad. Well, you know how many people done seen me get ran over by Ray? I wanna see it on Madden. Hey, he gonna be all right. He gonna be all right. Listen, this is not, it's not.
Starting point is 00:07:13 I wanna see it on bad. I wanna see if you go across there and catch it, I could do the same thing like Ray did in real life. I could do it on Madden. You can, you can, you definitely can. Listen, I think it's a good thing. It's an iconic moment. You can't. You can't. You you you you definitely can. Listen, I I think I listen. I think it's a good thing. It's
Starting point is 00:07:29 it's an iconic moment. You might have been the one that got hurt all over but listen, you could tell your grandkids. Boy, look at your daddy. Man, I tell you about your grandkids. I was I was on the cover of Madden but is it 26 or 25? Would you
Starting point is 00:07:40 tell your grandkids you got beat up? Yeah. I know you are. Hey, hey, listen, I live in my trues. I live in my trues. Listen, your daddy used to fight. I lost a few though. I lost a few. And I'd be able to name them too. I'm gonna have an excuse. You think players should be sensitive
Starting point is 00:07:59 about how they're portrayed in Madden? No. Okay, yes. Yes, that means a lot. That means a lot to the players. It does. I do? No. Uh well, okay. Yes. Yes, that means a lot. That means a lot to the players. Um it does. You know, I do, I do
Starting point is 00:08:10 the ratings. I do the ratings. So, I try to be as fair as possible for those players that have um that are disgruntled and upset about what their ratings are. Like, listen, I played the game. I understand the game. I watch all of you very very
Starting point is 00:08:22 closely especially the skill possession, the wide receivers and DBs. Now, the the other positions I really don't have anything to do and no say so in what your ratings are but wide receivers and DBs I'm watching you so if your rating is what it is all I need to see is you show out consistently. So improvement you get improved grade. Yeah man yeah and listen and if they sometime they come to me in public and like if I have my iPad with me I'll pull up i'll pull up like in powerpoint presentation. This is why you had 83
Starting point is 00:08:50 Because one week we play somebody that's not that good you cutting up and then you would play so you play pass or tain Boy, you you go ghost Where do you go? I need consistency every week no matter who you plan I need to do right by me Don't give me that because you know, i've only i've been one'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you
Starting point is 00:09:06 that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you
Starting point is 00:09:06 that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you
Starting point is 00:09:07 that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you
Starting point is 00:09:07 that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you
Starting point is 00:09:08 that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to give you that. I'm going to want to chain. I want some shoes I got what kind of and they like it in 2027 the guys have been a hundred bill on the cover I got you. I got you. I'm there. I can't put you on the cover, but we're gonna be gonna take
Starting point is 00:09:37 We're gonna take care of your ultimate team. We're gonna put your ultimate team You want to chain too? Yup. You were asking for a whole lot. I've been a hundred. I know, but that was 30 years ago. It don't matter when it was like you tell me I did it. Okay. You right. You right by that. You right by that. I got you. They put man on the moon 50 years ago. They did it. Hey, hold on. You know what?
Starting point is 00:10:03 I don't know. That's kind of sketchy. Do you really think they went to the moon 50 years ago. They did it. Hey, hold on. You know what? I don't know. That's kind of sketchy. Do you really think they went to the moon 50 years ago? They did. Well, how long ago when you saw him boat ran that nine five? Hey, that boy was moving but we were able to see that was a long time ago. He did it. Hey, hold on. We
Starting point is 00:10:16 were able to see that with our own eyes. Well, I you saw you saw me earn that 100 with your own eyes. Yeah, you you was alright. You was all right. It was all right. James Cook reportedly disconnected himself from the organization.
Starting point is 00:10:32 Here's what Adam Sander, Adam Sander, Adam Schefter had to say about James Cook's situation. He has basically disconnected himself from the organization and put the city, put his house up for sale. And I don't think we'll be seeing him in Buffalo anytime soon. Yeah. I mean, listen, sometimes this is what you got to do. This is the nature of the business. This is not the first time it happened
Starting point is 00:10:55 and it definitely won't be the last time. I would love a James Cook to get his money. It's well-deserved. But again, we have to understand for those that are in the chat you have to understand how the NFL, the front offices we have to understand for those that are in the chat, you have to understand how the NFL, the the front offices, the GMs, the presidents, how they view the
Starting point is 00:11:10 running back position. They're the they're they're tier one running backs. The McCaffrey's, the Saquon's, the Derrick Henry's, the Christian McCaffrey's that they've got Jacob Jamiro Gives. Yeah. Yeah. that that that they value. I'm
Starting point is 00:11:23 not sure why James Cook is not in that conversation when it comes to the tier one, tier one, excuse me, running backs. But obviously Buffalo doesn't see or view him in that nature or they wouldn't even be in the position they're in now. There would be talks about getting the deal done. You got mandatory mini camp coming in. OTAs are going on. Normally, you know, there's some type of activity
Starting point is 00:11:42 or some type of progress. The fact that we talked to James, I mean, not too long ago. But it was that was in season, huh? No, they lost. They had just lost. Oh, they listen. Look how long that's been long. Look how long that's been. And still, after all this time, there's been been no progress.
Starting point is 00:12:00 And I think I'm going in the right direction. That that that lets you know what it is, man. And it's it sucks for both parties involved involved it sucks for the Bills organization it sucks for the Bills fans hell it sucks for James Cook and his family for all that he's done especially when you you see what he's done on the field uh consistently week in and week out Tom Brady explained why he'll never criticize Patrick Mahomes during the broadcast how can I throw shade at someone who is amazing as Mahomes is a broadcast. How can I throw shade at someone who is amazing as Mahomes is?
Starting point is 00:12:26 I know he's been through, and I think the one position that I'm in now as a broadcaster, I do feel a responsibility to tell the fans what I see and be honest and upfront about everything, but also realize that these guys are doing on the field are extremely difficult. It's a high level of skill.
Starting point is 00:12:42 You're looking at the 32 teams who have starting quarterbacks out there. This guy's one of the. You're looking at the 32 teams who have starting quarterbacks out there. This guy's one of the best in the world at what he does. So do they make the right plays all the time? Certainly not. But by the way, neither did I. And I think I have, I think you have to have this context and perspective. That's all we ask. Yeah. Is that you don't make excuses.
Starting point is 00:13:08 If Patrick Mahomes make a bad throw, say Patrick Mahomes made a bad throw. Yeah. That's all. Mm-hmm. I mean, he's human. Yeah. Michael Jordan took some bad shots, didn't play well.
Starting point is 00:13:24 It's right to say that that happened. Right. Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rogers, Patrick Mahoney. It does not matter if a guy doesn't play well. It's your obligation because you know what the casual fan at home doesn't know. Yeah. So I don't, I don't think that's, I don't think that's asking much for the guys that's calling the game. And I't think that's asking much for the guys.
Starting point is 00:13:45 That's calling the game. And I know it's hard because here's the thing. You can't be too critical when you're in that position because then they will do production meeting with you. So you have to walk a very fine line. If you, if you play by play or you do color, which Tom does color. Right. So you have to walk that like, yeah, that was, that was a bad throw.
Starting point is 00:14:08 That's not like Patrick Mahomes. You got it. You know what I'm saying? Don't tell you got to crouch it, couch it. Yeah. Yeah. I don't, I don't know what he saw on that one. That's not like Patrick, a guy that's played as, as, as one, as many
Starting point is 00:14:19 Subos as he has and MVPs that's not like him. So give the defense credit on that. You know, you got to, Hey, but he still, I still take a Patrick Mahomes. the the two balls he has and because players like Patrick Mahomes, your Tom Brady's, your Peyton Manning's, they are much more consistent as opposed to being bad. That's how they get to become where they are. Because we look, and but see, that's the thing though, Ocho. And so, because they're not criticized that much, they should be okay. Bingo. Right.
Starting point is 00:14:58 You play seven good games, you have one bad game, we say, well, he didn't play well today. I mean, he's played up until this point, I had him as the MVP. Right. Well, he don't play well. We ought to say that, you well, he didn't play well today. I mean, he's played up until this point. I had him as the MVP. Right. Well, he don't play well. We ought to say that, you know, he didn't play well today. Right.
Starting point is 00:15:09 Right. Right. Mm hmm. But guys are so sensitive now. If you say that they play well, I'll show you. Yeah, it's, it's, it's tough. It's tough. And then obviously the blowback, the blowback because it's Tom Brady
Starting point is 00:15:23 criticizing Patrick Mahomes, I can see it from that from that lens. They try to build it up more than what it is. The great Tom Brady criticizes Patrick Mahomes. Exactly. And that's exactly what they're going to do. They're going to blow everything out of proportion depending on what he said. They're going to be critical and dissect every little word that's said. And that's one of the reasons why I think he said what he said. Yeah. And I think the thing that's why, you know, for me, Ocho, I had to be like careful
Starting point is 00:15:47 because every time they asked me, you think such and such should be in the Hall of Fame? Well, I ain't got to vote. Hall of Fame or Shannon Sharp doesn't think such and such should be. Bro, you vote. Y'all, whatever you, whatever y'all decide. Y'all don't, I mean, there are a few guys
Starting point is 00:16:04 that's in the hall that actually have votes, but for the most part the majority of us don't have a vote. Right. So I don't, what do you think about this guy? What you mean? I didn't play against him. Right. A lot of times the big economic forces we hear about on the news show up in our lives in small ways. Three or four days a week, I would buy two cups of banana pudding, but the price has gone up, so now I only buy one.
Starting point is 00:16:32 The demand curve in action, and that's just one of the things we'll be covering on everybody's business from Bloomberg Business Week. I'm Max Chafkin. And I'm Stacey Vanek-Smith. Every Friday, we will be diving into the biggest stories in business, taking a look at what's going on, why it matters, and how it shows up in our everyday lives.
Starting point is 00:16:50 With guests like Businessweek editor Brad Stone, Sports Reporter Randall Williams, and consumer spending expert Amanda Mull, we'll take you inside the boardrooms, the backrooms, even the signal chats that make our economy tick. Hey, I want to learn about VeChain. I want to buy some blockchain or whatever it is that they're doing. So listen to everybody's business on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Michael Kassin, founder and CEO of 3C Ventures and your guide on Good Company, the
Starting point is 00:17:21 podcast where I sit down with the boldest innovators shaping what's next. In this episode, I'm joined by Anjali Sood, CEO of Tubi, for a conversation that's anything but ordinary. We dive into the competitive world of streaming, how she's turning so-called niche into mainstream gold, connecting audiences with stories that truly make them feel seen. What others dismiss as niche, we embrace as core. It's this idea that there are so many stories out there, and if you can find a way to curate
Starting point is 00:17:52 and help the right person discover the right content, the term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen. Get a front row seat to where media, marketing, technology, entertainment, and sports collide, and hear how leaders like Anjali you'll see. your podcast. I mean, like I said, I thought I knew what a Hall of Famer was until I saw some guys that started not getting any took them 12345 times to get in. I'm like, I have no idea what a Hall of Famer is. I don't. So I stopped
Starting point is 00:18:48 trying to figure it out. Knock on wood, I was very fortunate to get in on my third attempt. My brother got in this year. So we're the first two brothers in the pro football Hall of Fame. Whatever happens after that, it is what it is. I got no I got I get the offer. I'm not offering whatever happens after that, hey, it is what it is. I got no, I got, I get the, I'm not offering no more commentary. Yeah. See, that's, that's why,
Starting point is 00:19:12 that's why I ended up to myself. And so, you know, but I, but the thing is, is that I, I think like for us, what we do, we do. Yeah. I'm like, bro, so how can I you out there you stink up the joint, you run a sloppy route, you let the guy undercut it and pick it off. And I'm supposed to say what you don't go through your progression, you stared you made your mind up
Starting point is 00:19:38 when you left the huddle you made your mind up where you was gonna go with this football. You stare the guy down, he picks it off. What am I supposed to say? Right. You got to. I'm gonna make a PSA before the season start, huh? If you're a DB Ocho, and you're either, you watching the quarterback.
Starting point is 00:19:56 Yeah, or you beat. You beat. The guy that you covering, what you doing with him? What am I supposed to say? You beat every time every time you peek your back in that backfield. You beat. So, what you're supposed to do? You
Starting point is 00:20:16 think you can be you think you can be able to get the sack him from where you are on the field. Mm hmm. Trying to jump. You take a you take a bad angle Ocho. You're supposed to go underneath you go go over. Or you're supposed to take away the inside and you let the guy beat you inside. Or it's a double team and you got outside
Starting point is 00:20:30 and you let the guy beat you outside. What am I supposed to say? Cause I'm basing it on a lot of times the situations that I've been in or situations that I've seen guys in, Ocho. I mean, it's hard for me to say, Ocho, you and I playing as long as we have 25,
Starting point is 00:20:45 26 years combined NFL, that there's something going on in the field that we haven't seen ourselves. Mm hmm. Yeah. We're on football season start. I'm going to do, I'm going to do a PSA. I'm going to do all the, obviously my expertise is on DBs and wide receivers. I'm going to do a PSA before the season start that do not take anything I say
Starting point is 00:21:07 Offensive. I'm just give you my expertise based on what I saw into the I don't want no issues if you have any issues all of all y'all got my number Titans rookie quarterback cam ward reportedly shows up at the facility at 5 a.m. every day. Head Coach Brian Callahan says he has to force him to go home on some nights. Ward said a 5 a.m. routine has always been a part of the process. It's just my process. It's how I've always been in college until now. It's how I get everything, whether it's in film, treatment-wise.
Starting point is 00:21:43 I've got to get everything and to start my day and the end of my day, by whatever time, you got to get it done. Like it. I like young guys that are first in and the last to leave. Yeah, I mean, obviously you have to do that. I mean, you're the number one. Especially that position.
Starting point is 00:21:59 Hey, you're the number one pick. You got to have every edge, every advantage you can get. If that means being there at 5 a.m. you know if your routine it should be I mean then it makes the transition easier into the NFL because it's something you already do but everything you need to do you got to do it you got to buy in you got to be the first one there you are the franchise quarterback now you've been drafted number one but leave no effing stone unturned in trying to be the best and change that franchise around. You're absolutely right. You're absolutely right.
Starting point is 00:22:33 Me the first pick in the draft. You're supposed to be at the first pick in the draft. You're supposed to be franchise altering. Yes. Hey, year one because you see what T. Day Groud did. the same type of. He doesn't have the supporting cast. Yeah, you don't have the supporting cast that they do. So, he's going to have to be that much better, that much sharper, that much more consistent. That much
Starting point is 00:22:55 he does have Cabin Ridley. Yeah, you name one player. That's what I'm saying but he has look with CJ Stroud has a lot of experience. He's a lot of experience. He's a lot of that much more sharper, that because it's based on you got Unfortunately, NFL still believes that turf is the cheapest, most cost-efficient way in the league that annualizes billions every year. It's not adding up to me. It's a repetitive cycle and it's going to continue.
Starting point is 00:23:58 It's unfortunate. It will continue until the players decide to stand up and say, listen, we don't want to play on turf anymore. Then the things will all players hate it. No sports should ever be played on turf. 17 of the 32 teams play on artificial turf because guess what, Ocho? What?
Starting point is 00:24:16 It's easy because there are other things that they have on those football fields other than football games. Right. They have monster truck pools. They have concerts. Oh, I see. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I understand. They have monster truck pools. Mm-hmm. They have concerts. Oh, I see, yeah, yeah, yeah, I understand. They have a lot of other things, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:24:29 And the turf, grass is very expensive. Very. To put down new sod and to grow it in, it gets very expensive. If it's just a field, the only thing, because if it's just football, I can't make my money. I need to have Beyonce in there. I need to have Taylor Swift in there. I need to have monster make my money. I need to have Beyonce in there. I need to have Taylor Swift in there.
Starting point is 00:24:46 I need to have monster trucks. Yeah, I need to have other concerts. You have I need to have. I need to have other vids there to pay the bills. Yeah. Pay the bills. Mm hmm. So. Look at so far. Olympics opening ceremonies in 28th, the World Cup 2026. Yes, sir. Beyonce was there for like, what, three what three four days Taylor Swift was there three or four days. They have
Starting point is 00:25:10 football games there Yeah, I gotta get my money. I'm sorry. Mm-hmm Hey Listen, I I understand maybe maybe running backs. Maybe it's just me. Yeah, I hate it too Oh Joe, but we I mean when I hate it too. But we did. I mean, when I first got to the league, we had that old, y'all had that bulljive on y'all
Starting point is 00:25:30 field too. Y'all got, y'all got, I think y'all got that field turf now but we had the artificial turf which was sleeping with that little bulljive rolled over the top of it. Yeah, we we we I had the I had the artificial
Starting point is 00:25:41 turf but I like it. I like it because if it's raining grass, well, you heard me if if it's raining on I still know I can run full speed and I Can still stop on a dime. It's gonna great. It's gonna grab every time It's gonna grab every time and that that that made me feel comfortable as opposed to having grass and having to put them goddamn Seven studs in and hurt my damn feet. I love to say I Play with tempo. I play with the speed problems Yeah, but it didn't matter to me
Starting point is 00:26:05 Oh Joe, you know why you want those slip because you didn't plant and I tell them you're slipping You notice on the back of your heel you got four in the front You got seven so they're trying to tell you to get over your knees and drop your hips It's not playing on the back of your heel. That's why you're slipping You know, you know, it's funny is that was so unorthodox. Hey, I can run out route to the left and I can cut. I can, I can cut on my, on my outside foot. Inside foot? Yeah. Oh, you got to see it. Oh, you got, you got to see it. And it look, and I lose no step, no rhythm. It's crazy. It's crazy. It's weird. Now I'd be right, right in the
Starting point is 00:26:43 flow. It is, I don't know. But I didn't slip. Cause like I said, as I it's it's it's weird. Now, I'd be I'd be right right in the flow. Mm hmm. It is. I don't know. But I didn't slip because like I said, as I got older, I wrote, I wore, I wore tempo bottoms. Yeah. Um but early in my career, I I would, I wore, I wore seven
Starting point is 00:27:01 studs but you know, I mean, like I said, I mean, hey, hey, them studs hurt you too about to hurt. Uh yeah. Oh hell no. Oh no. And now you had the I had no choice when we played the Steelers at any point in the 2000s on that field, they had it hinds back
Starting point is 00:27:18 then. I think they purposely didn't get it done. I think they purposely didn't get it done. Oh my goodness. Yeah. I played those old three rivers. That turf was terrible too. Y'all's field was terrible too. I feel it was awful. I never saw three rows. Oh, oh, three rows. Terrible. That turf was terrible. Right. But it get loud and and the seats, you start bouncing the seats do
Starting point is 00:27:41 this. You can see the people jumping up and down. But it's nice to go back. Cause you like, man, I remember the first time that I played there, it was like, I'm like, man, the steel curtain played here. You know, they, you know, win AFC championship games. And so it's, you know, you, you play it and something is stored is like three rivers or Lambo. So Jafia I'm talking about the old the old uh I'm trying to
Starting point is 00:28:11 think did I play in the old yeah I play in the old metal lands. You know not MetLife the old metal. Okay. Okay. Uh you know what uh you know they still share the field but so it's just it's just like just walking into that stadium and knowing the history of that stadium. It's like, wow. Ocho, a new study from LSU Business School found that Super Bowl 59 had a major economic impact
Starting point is 00:28:37 on Louisiana, generating an estimated 1,250,000,000. The report looked at spending time to everything from hotel stays, restaurants, transportation, entertainment across the state. Roughly 115,000 people came to New Orleans for the weekend, including 100,000 from out of state, giving a major boost to tourism. That's why all these teams keep bidding.
Starting point is 00:29:04 Last thing, the event also supported nearly 10,000 jobs across the region, making it a win well beyond the field. Go ahead, Ocho. Hey, why you think teams or cities? I mean, cities being to have the Super Bowl in their city. They understand the economic impact it can have on that city in such a short amount of time, one week. Do you know how, what can you do when you can make a billion dollars in a week?
Starting point is 00:29:31 No, no, nothing. Nothing. Hey, and nobody's had more super bowls than New Orleans, Ocho. So they know how to, they, they're, they're used to, they put out, they have Mardi Gras. So they're used to having national championship games in the Superdome. They're used to have, they put out, they have Mardi Gras. So they're used to having national championship games in the Superdome. They're used to having Super Bowls in the Superdome. But you know, it's gonna, it's in LA. That's the family. It's in San Francisco.
Starting point is 00:29:56 Then it goes to Atlanta. They don't need, they don't know. They don't need, San Francisco don't need no more money. They don't need no, now Atlanta? Boys finna be crazy out there, boy. You ain't gotta tell me. I already know. Cause I went to the one in 2019
Starting point is 00:30:09 when New England played the Rams. Right, okay, okay, okay. Crazy. No, the Rams. It's gonna come back to Vegas. In the Falcons. No, they played the Rams. They played the Rams in Atlanta.
Starting point is 00:30:22 They played, the Patriots played the Falcons in Houston. Okay, okay, okay, you're right. You're right. You're right. You're right. Houston. Oh, man. But pretty soon it's going to be like, oh, like you get a new stadium. I don't know who is in line to get a new stadium because you know, but Atlanta, they're going to rotate Atlanta, SoFi, Vegas, Houston, Miami, the I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't but that's why that's why teams they won't. I mean, that's why they want the Super Bowl. That's why they try to get in on those beds and try to
Starting point is 00:31:30 get a let's get a World Cup come through here. Yeah. Let's get the Olympics. So, fine. LA A. Atlanta A. And the funny thing about it, you think you think you think the Super Bowl had an economic impact on um damn where was it just at oh New Orleans yeah until you see where the the World Cup each city is in oh my god I think the final is
