Drew is still waiting for a new contract from the Miami Dolphins and he's sending a message to try and make it happen. He's been absent from the majority of voluntary off-season work. His absence is believed to be contract related as he enters the final year of his rookie deal. His absence is notable and he's typically been present even for voluntary work in the past offseason things will be two things
Starting point is 00:03:10 appear appear to be different now with two wanting a new deal to extend the contract beyond roughly a 23 million dollar fifth year option he's set to play on in february to avoid his confidence that the dolphins would sort of sort the deal out with him. That still hasn't happened, though, despite some warnings that there's no indication that Miami is balking at a long-term deal. Hey, listen, the NFL is crazy, for one. The Dolphins are crazy, for two. I understand playing this waiting game with the skilled position players. I understand playing it with the receivers. I understand playing it with the receivers.
Starting point is 00:03:45 I understand playing it with the DBs at times. I really, really understand it, you know, playing it with the running backs, especially with the way they're not valued as they once were back in the day. But for the Miami Dolphins to see golf get its extension, to see what the teams that are sure about their franchise quarterbacks and locking them in and giving them surety and the confidence, you are our number one guy. You are the one that we see in the near future
Starting point is 00:04:19 to be our quarterback for this franchise. For them to even be playing this game and haven't come to a deal yet, I don't understand what the issue is. What message are they sending Tua for him to be having to wait? What message are they sending him with allowing him to miss voluntary workouts where you should be there, Thorne, and getting the rapport with your receivers, getting the timing down? This is when you want to get all that stuff. This is when you want to get all that work in. What are we doing? I have no idea. I think the thing is, Ocho, where
Starting point is 00:04:52 are they going with it? Because the thing is, what quarterbacks try to do, whether they're worth it or not, I hate to say somebody is worth it, but what they try to do is that they try to advance the ball. So, Joe Burns, about 53-55. Tua's trying to get to be 56.
Starting point is 00:05:07 So, the next guy can get 57. And the next guy can be 58. So, with the exception of the running back position, everybody's trying to outdo that because they want to keep the ball moving. And if you notice, since Christian McCaffrey got his deal, no running back
Starting point is 00:05:25 has ever been able to approach that $16 million in which he got. Not even close. Do you think Tua is trying to get more than the top three quarterbacks? What's the going rate?
Starting point is 00:05:39 He said, hold on. Joe Burrow got his deal. Joe Burrow hasn't won a Super Bowl either. I haven't won a Super Bowl. Joe's won a couple of playoffs. You know how they think. I'm just telling you what the agent is saying.
Starting point is 00:05:52 Yeah, that might be the issue. That might be the issue. Of course. That might be the issue. Now, are you trying to break the bank and reset the market? Because if you do that, if you do that, you mess up them being able to keep the pieces around you.
Starting point is 00:06:06 That ain't got nothing to do with me. My job is to play football, not try to work on the cap. You got a general manager, you got a capologist for that. You ain't ask your capologist to go throw touchdowns. You ain't ask your capologist,
Starting point is 00:06:18 you ain't ask the general manager to catch no passes. So why are you asking me to try to manage your cap? Yeah, that's dangerous though. That's dangerous. That's dangerous. That's dangerous, especially on his part. I think Tua, his success is because of the pieces he has around him.
Starting point is 00:06:32 I wouldn't take a huge chunk of the pie trying to get $55 million a year and understanding that if you're getting $55 million a year, then they're going to have to take some of them nice pieces around you that also make a good money too. It got to be a concern if you're trying to win. Hold on. You won't say that when them teams ain't trying to win. I understand
Starting point is 00:07:00 what you're saying, but come on now. I'm just saying. You see what we do? We'll hold players to a standard we were not willing to hold the teams to. See what you're saying, but come on now. I'm just saying. You see what we do? We'll hold players to a standard we were not willing to hold the teams to. You see what you're saying? How many teams you actually think out there, Ocho, are really trying to win? Oh, like really trying to win?
Starting point is 00:07:16 Yes. Really, really? The Chiefs? The Bills? The Bengals? I'm talking about really trying to win and actually have a chance. Philly? Cowboys? They ain really trying to win and actually have a chance. Philly, Cowboys. They ain't trying to win. You know, it's very few
Starting point is 00:07:33 and the rest of the teams, they know they're far away. They are pieces away. Oh, sure. It takes a special type of person to really work hard. Yes, sir. Knowing I'm making X.
Starting point is 00:07:50 I'm going to make X regardless whether I work hard or not. Every team knows I'm going to get $300 million even if I don't make the playoffs. I got $300 million coming. Plus, I got the revenue from attendance. Plus, I got concession.
Starting point is 00:08:03 Plus, I got parking. Plus, I got naming rights. Plus, I got local TV. Plus, I got the revenue from attendance. Plus, I got concession. Plus, I got parking. Plus, I got naming rights. Plus, I got local TV. Plus, I got merchandise. So, what's my incentive, Ocho? I need you to give me an incentive. I hate when you put it like that, Quack. I hate when you put it like that.
Starting point is 00:08:23 Baltimore's trying to win. Oh, yeah. No Steve Bichotte. Like I said, when I was there, he was the majority owner. Then a couple of years later, he bought the remaining shares from Art Modell, rest his soul. But when it comes down to it, man, it is what it is. Hey. I just want the players on choke because here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:08:45 I want the players to get as much money as they possibly can, because you know, that day coming. Oh, Joe. Oh yeah. I done gave you a pay cut. And guess what?
Starting point is 00:08:54 You're going to do one day. You won't let me go. Always. If Tom, Tom Brady, Tom Brady gave the, for 20 years, Tom Brady gave the Patriots pay cut
Starting point is 00:09:07 after pay cut, after discount, after discount, after discount. And when he wanted two more years, what did they tell him, Mocho? Nah. We think we gonna move on. Six Super Bowls. Nine,
Starting point is 00:09:23 no, six Super Bowl wins nine Super Bowl appearances how many AFC Championship games at the discount at the discount at the discount MVP at the MVP
Starting point is 00:09:37 guys can I get two more years nah we straight but remember who's call that was, though. Hey, you told me if you tried to win, Tom tried to win. Tom proved he could still win. Tampa went to the playoffs every year.
Starting point is 00:09:56 Now, do I believe New England was equipped? No, he went to a ready-made team. I believe they could have made the playoffs the year before. Jameis wouldn't stop turning the ball over. You ain't going nowhere if your quarterback got 30 plus turnovers and they still finished 9-7
Starting point is 00:10:13 with 30 plus turnovers. Oh, Cho, that's crazy. Think about how good that team was to win that many games with 30 plus turnovers. Do I believe New England could have won a Super Bowl?
Starting point is 00:10:29 Not with that roster. Not with that roster. Coach Belichick allowed that roster to get beat up, allowed it to get slow, allowed it to get old. His draft didn't hit anymore. He's drafting players that within two years, they're gone. And he had lost his magic. And you start reaching didn't hit anymore. He's drafting players that within two years they're gone and
Starting point is 00:10:45 he had lost his magic. And you start reaching deeper and deeper and trying to get diamonds in the rough like he got Gronk in the second round, like he got Hernandez in the third round, like he was getting some of these guys in the later rounds. It got
Starting point is 00:11:02 to the point that even Tom Greatness couldn't overcome the mistakes that he was making in the draft and in free agency and when Tom couldn't overcome it you know something going on because that mofo could overcome anything anything yeah and he said you know what man I still got it in me I want to play some more you know think about all the money that you've saved by me taking less than what the market required for a quarterback. It's like, nah, Tom, we really appreciate
Starting point is 00:11:30 that, but you know, hey, you know what's up? Yeah, you're right. I can see what you want there. But we want to go in a different direction. Tom Brady
Starting point is 00:11:45 should have been like a Coach Krzyzewski, a Coach Smith, Coach Summit. Without any checkered path, checkered anything in their resume, you retire when you want to, son. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:00 I understand it's going to become, but if he wants to play two more years years let him get two more years let him get it he's earned it yes it was deserved yes so that just goes to show you they're going to come a time
Starting point is 00:12:18 no matter how well you play no matter how many discounts you give them Joe Montana you play, no matter how many discounts you give them, Joe Montana, Jerry Rice got released. The greatest of all time. In other words, basically, what you're saying
Starting point is 00:12:39 is Tua is in his right to do what he's doing then. Okay. I like it. I just want to see my team is Tua is in his right to do what he's doing then? Yeah. Okay. Okay. I like it. I like it. I just, listen, I just want to see my team. Obviously,
Starting point is 00:12:50 you know, I'm from Miami. I want to see my team do well. But I do understand how Tua is able to be successful is because of the pieces that he has around him.
Starting point is 00:12:59 Tyreek, Waddle, OBJ, A-Chan, Mostert, the offensive line. It's, yeah. You take all the meat and potatoes
Starting point is 00:13:11 and that money, some of those pieces got to go. They got to go. And then, now everything, the onus is on you. Well, you got to do it without the superstars around you, and then it can get a little scary. Well, I don't believe he's that.
Starting point is 00:13:27 I don't think he's Mahomes. We see Mahomes. They traded one of the, probably the most dangerous receiver in football. Right. And they go to two Super Bowls. The guy wins an MVP and two Super Bowl MVP. He's not that. He's not that. Can you imagine if I
Starting point is 00:13:44 gave Mahomes those weapons? Come on, that's unfair. But that's what I'm saying. That's my thing, Ocho, is that, look, that's a great situation. And I understand. For me, you know, I'm just saying get your money. But I got to look around the situation. Okay, I'm in a situation.
Starting point is 00:14:01 I got no state tax. I got Tariq. I got Waddle. I got Mostert. I got,dle i got mostard i got you know wilson i got these guys oh dear odell gotta do i mean you see what happened you lost christian wilkins i'm in a company you had xavian howard is gone um you had to get off a couple of linebackers you got chubb that was hurt you got phill that was hurt. I mean you got to score points because the likelihood of guys coming back from Achilles
Starting point is 00:14:28 and being able to play right now is not good. I mean, but they do got a nice D in from goddamn Penn State. Chop. Oh yeah, yeah. I like Chop. Yeah. Bleacher Report ranked every NFL offense after the
Starting point is 00:14:43 2024 draft. The 49ers was one the Chiefs were two, Lions were three the Dolphins were four Eagles were five, Ravens six, Bengals seven Bills eight, Cowboys nine Packers are ten I'm surprised you know because every year the Cowboys
Starting point is 00:15:00 normally number one for real? yeah I'm trying I'm trying to think about this year, the Cowboys normally number one. For real? Yeah. I'm trying to think about this. All right, the 49ers deserve to be exactly where they are. The Chiefs as well. Yeah. Lions, hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:17 Amon St. Brown, that boy. Yeah. Jamison Williams. They got Laporta. They got Gibbs at running back. Yeah. Dolphins, okay. Dolphins, obviously. Eagles, got them.
Starting point is 00:15:34 Devontae and got them. A.J. Brown. A.J. Brown. And they just added Saquon. Saquon. Yeah, they got Dallas Goddard. It's going to be a little higher. Ravens, rightfully so.
Starting point is 00:15:46 Bengals, you already know what the offense is like. Bills, I like it. You know what? I like the Packers. Oh, yeah. I like the Packers. I'm not so sure I wouldn't have. You know what?
Starting point is 00:15:59 Had they kept Aaron Jones, I'm not so sure I wouldn't have the Packers higher. Why would I just get ready to say that? I would, I would, I would put the Ravens down a little bit and, and I would have in place of, I would put the Bengals where the Ravens are. Then I put the Packers,
Starting point is 00:16:16 then the bills, then the Ravens, simply because they don't throw the ball enough for me. They don't throw it enough. Too much of the onus of the offense is based on Lamar and running. Obviously they have Derrick Henry now, so I think that takes some of the pressure off
Starting point is 00:16:33 of Lamar, but just the fact that they run the ball so much. Well, maybe they got Derrick Henry. They're counting on Derrick Henry to take some of that running load off of Lamar. I have a question. Yes. Why the Jets offense? Why is it in here? Is it simply for the fact that they have Aaron Rodgers?
Starting point is 00:16:50 Where the Jets at? The Jets at 13, yes. Yes. Okay. Okay. I like the Colts. I like the Chargers. Seahawks and Geno.
Starting point is 00:17:02 I like that. I like Texans. I like the Texans and Rams are some good ones. Man, I put it out. Hold on. The Texans with Diggs, with Nico Collins, Tank Dale, Dalton Schultz. Yeah. Are we sure?
Starting point is 00:17:17 I mean, I'm trying to figure out what y'all like so much about the Cowboys. Okay, they got CD. Okay, what else? So would you want to switch the Cowboys? Hold on. You think the Cowboys offense is better than the Texans? No, they're not. No. Hell no.
Starting point is 00:17:36 With Diggs, Tankdale, Nico Collins, Dalton Schultz and CJ? That's crazy. Oh, hell no. That's crazy work. No. Hey, the Packers are really, really good. Packers are really, really good. Oh, hell no. Ain't no way the Texans
Starting point is 00:17:54 got to be out of the top 10. Nah. I'm not so sure they're not better than the Bills. I'm trying to figure out the Bills did lose Stephon Diggs. So, I mean, Coleman'm trying to figure out the Bills did lose Stephon Diggs. Yeah. So, I mean, Coleman is a rookie. Yeah. They lost the other receiver that went to Jacksonville.
Starting point is 00:18:11 Gabe Davis. Gabe Davis. Yeah. Look, I like King K. I like Dawson Knox. But are we sure the Bills offense is better than the Texans? Way up to the NOL. And you know what it does, too?
Starting point is 00:18:27 It puts the onus on Josh Allen. Now you are who you are. You are who you say you are. Now you have a superstar that's gone. So you're going to have to do your due diligence with what you got. And I think Keon Coleman is going to be phenomenal. If the entertainment value that he brings through the media is anything like his play, they're going to be phenomenal. You know, if the entertainment value that he brings through the media is anything like
Starting point is 00:18:48 his play, they're going to be fine. And, and they just got Joe Mixon. Yeah, Joe and Houston. The Texans. Yeah. Hell no, ain't no way the Texans should be 12. So you putting the Texans at nine?
Starting point is 00:19:06 Man, I'm putting the Texans in front of the Bills, in front of the Bengals. I'm talking about just from an offensive standpoint. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. You putting them in front of the Bengals? Yeah. Shit. Oh, now you tripping.
Starting point is 00:19:18 Now you done bumped your head. Now we got Joe Burrow. We still have T. We still have Chase. We still have Chase. We got the young Speeds, the Burden from Alabama. Come on, now. Don't do that.
Starting point is 00:19:30 I'll put him in front of him. Don't do that. Don't do that. Put him in front of him. I thought you loved these. I do. All you was talking about, man, Tank Dale,
Starting point is 00:19:41 old Nico. That's all you was talking about. It ain't real there, but now we talk about Chase, Higgins, and Burden. Did you see what CJ did last year? Yeah, I saw what CJ did. Mm-hmm. See what happened?
Starting point is 00:19:55 See what happened? See Burrow miss a few games? Now we done forgot. All I'm saying is that, hey. All right, all right, all right. Janet Jackson, what have you done for me lately? Lately. All right. Janet Jackson, what have you done for me lately? Former Texans cornerback Steve Nelson takes a shot
Starting point is 00:20:12 at D'Amico Ryan. Let's go, Milk Gun Man. It's your time to shine. Damn all that meathead persona. Time to get hands dirty for the city. We need, hold on. What is this about? Determining the Houston right.
Starting point is 00:20:30 We need, okay, we need local support teams to send relief to Houston residents. People are without power and food. I was there. I was not so sure
Starting point is 00:20:39 that we were going to be able to do Thursday night because it kind of knocked the power out in the hotel. And I was only able to watch the second out in the hotel. And I was only able to watch the second half of the game. And, you know, the guy came up and says, you know,
Starting point is 00:20:49 I'm sorry, Mr. Sharp, that we got there late, that we had to get people that ended up being stuck in the elevator. And so, I mean, I'm sure... But I'm saying, why are you trying to take a shot at D'Amico? that's the Houston Texans that's uh uh what's the owner what's the owner name what uh McNair that's a hat that's Cal or
Starting point is 00:21:13 Cal or Hal McNair I mean so you're not gonna say anything so you're not gonna say anything about the Houston Texans and their ownership you're gonna going to make it about the head coach? I have a question. Man, give me a kick, Rob. I love Brother Stephen Nelson, but did he see what D'Amico Ryans and the Houston Texans did for the city last year? Did he miss what they did last year, the improvement in the drafting of C.J. Stroud
Starting point is 00:21:42 as a rookie who had a historic season as a quarterback? He did not see what they did? I bet you'll be trying to get your hands dirty. Bro, come on now. But they got dirty. They got real dirty. I guess he's trying to say now with the tornadoes. It was a tornado, right?
Starting point is 00:21:57 A tornado that touched down. Knocked the power out. There are people without water. There's people without power. They want him to go out there oh yeah get his hands dirty okay okay okay I see where you're going with it
Starting point is 00:22:14 I see where you're going with it, okay my bad but I'm just saying, but hold on bro so you know you still got the Texans they live there, Tim and Fertitta you got the Astros, Crane he's there. You got McCoy. You ain't.
Starting point is 00:22:27 So you ain't mentioned no other. He mentioned no other head coach. He ain't mentioned no manager, which is in baseball. No head coach, which is in basketball. Just just Amico. You see.
Starting point is 00:22:40 You see. Is that was the Steve get a chance? Was he there? Did he play last year? The name is not familiar to me. He played last year. Oh, with the Texans? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:58 Okay. They must be getting the boot. I see where this is coming from. Okay, I get it. I get it. I get it. Understand Okay, I get it. I get it. I get it. Understandable. I get it.
Starting point is 00:23:10 I get it. But if anything, I would be calling on ownership. Ownership to do and help the city of Houston. The owners, the ones with... Yes!
Starting point is 00:23:21 The long money should be first in line to want to help the people. You know, the same people that buy the merchandise, the same people that attend the games. I mean, this is the time of the owners can repay and help those that helps them during basketball season, football season, baseball season. You know, this is their time to step up. Starting point is 00:26:28 I Am Rapaport Stereo Podcast on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm sure they'll get it figured out. But I think normally in situations like this, the sports teams in those cities, they normally step up. Especially, you remember when they had the flood?
Starting point is 00:26:55 I think all the sports franchises, I think they stepped up. J.J. Watt raised like $20, $30 million. They had, what did they call those things? What did they have those things? TV. There used to be the United Negro College. What did they call it when they raised money? What are those?
Starting point is 00:27:14 Telethon. Telethon. Telethon. Telethon. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. They had that. So I'm certain that the sports franchises in those areas, as far as some local businesses, I'm sure they'll step up.
Starting point is 00:27:27 I think maybe some other owners around the league will also donate the residents of Houston. I know it's your inconvenience right now. Hopefully there are no loss of life, just some property. Those things can be replaced. So hopefully, I don't think anybody, I didn't read, if I'm speaking out of turn, please correct me, but hopefully no one lost their life.
Starting point is 00:27:52 But I'm going to push back on this for him just to call out. Some people lost their lives. So we're sorry about the lives that were lost in this disaster uh this hurricane that touched down on thursday um but i'm disappointed that he would call out an individual
Starting point is 00:28:11 by name it makes no it doesn't make sense to me it doesn't sit right with me so um i'm sure um the franchises the sports franchise the sporting franchises in the sporting franchises in Houston as well as some local businesses will come together. Even some of the owners around the league, that's what they normally do. And they'll build back Houston. Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers go out to the families impacted
Starting point is 00:28:38 by all of this and the lives that were lost. So here at Nightcap, you have our deepest sympathies and prayers. Scottie Scheffler was arrested before entering the PGA Championship. The world's top-ranked golfer was arrested Friday morning while driving to Valhalla Golf Club
Starting point is 00:28:56 to prepare for his second round of the tournament. The incident occurred amid a traffic jam caused by a fatal accident about a mile away where a tournament volunteer was struck and killed by a shuttle bus. According to a police report, Shuffler, in an attempt to bypass the bottleneck,
Starting point is 00:29:12 pulled around and congested into an adjacent lane where Detective Brian Gillis of the L.A. Louisville Metro Police was directing traffic. Gillis said that he stopped Shuffler and attempted to give him instructions, but Scheffler refused to comply and accelerated
Starting point is 00:29:28 forward, dragging him to the ground. While many details around the incident remain murky, this much is clear. Scheffler was arrested, slapped with four charges, three driving-related misdemeanors and a second-degree assault of a police officer, a felony,
Starting point is 00:29:44 before being released in time to make the Friday morning start. Listen, I think the officer probably didn't want to hear what was going on, probably because of the incident that happened. Someone had lost their life, and Schefter trying to go around the traffic and get wherever he had to be on time, I'm assuming for tea time or whatnot. And I mean, listen, I would have tried to be as nice as possible
Starting point is 00:30:12 to the officer explaining, listen, I'm trying to get to so-and-so. I'm trying to get to point A so I could be there on time. I'm so-and-so, I'm getting ready for it to play in the PGA Championship, whatever. I'm assuming maybe he didn't do that. And maybe if he did, it might have worked.
Starting point is 00:30:28 Obviously, if he did, maybe the officer didn't care. Maybe the officer might not have been a fan of golf. He might not have been a fan of goddamn Scotty Scheffler. But this incident could have been prevented. Yeah, if Scotty Scheffler would have stopped, that's how you prevent it. Yeah, yeah. yeah scotty scotty shepard would have stopped that's how you prevent it yeah yeah because because when there's an officer when there's an officer on site he takes command of the of all so i don't care about a traffic light i don't care about a stop sign right in command you must obey
Starting point is 00:30:58 the officer yeah oh wait so once he said stop you trying to pull around and accelerate. There's no. Hold on. I thought all you had to do was obey. That's what they tell us. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I thought that's what I heard. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:15 If you just obey the officer. Now, you know, a lot of time compliance. It's amazing. Yeah. It's amazing. It's amazing. Non-compliance. And he got to his event. I know there have been
Starting point is 00:31:32 situations where non-compliance, the family had to release right doves on a date. Hey, I ain't just saying it is what it is, but I'm just saying I thought non-compliance and this is, hold on, this is Louis just saying. I thought noncompliance. And this is, hold on,
Starting point is 00:31:46 this is Louisville? This is Louisville? I know this is not where Breonna Taylor lost her life when they kicked in the... Yeah. We'll discuss that another day. We'll make that a segment of another day, another time. Another day. Hopefully everything can get cleared up. Scotty Shuffler was in the wrong. I think he
Starting point is 00:32:03 admitted that he was in the wrong. At least I hope he acknowledges that he was in the wrong because the officer, at that point in time, the officer doesn't know. He just knows there's been a tragedy. Yeah. And normally tragedy
Starting point is 00:32:19 is going to trump whatever that you may, you know, maybe at that point in time, the golf tournament takes a backseat to loss of life. Yeah, always, always. And I don't think, I don't, you know what?
Starting point is 00:32:35 He probably didn't even understand what was going on. He was just trying to get to where he was. And you know, one thing, when there's a traffic jam, when there's traffic, cops are not explaining to you what went on. Yeah, they ain't got cops are not explaining to you what went on.
Starting point is 00:32:45 Yeah. They ain't got to. They're telling you, listen, stop. Stay in line. You can't go around all the traffic because if you can do it, then everybody else
Starting point is 00:32:54 is going to follow right behind you and try to do it to you. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, Scott, that's what I do. You know, me and Scottie play 18 holes at Pebble Beach. Oh, Lord have mercy.
Starting point is 00:33:04 Hey, keep talking, though, Joe. I got to go to the bathroom. All right. Hey, chat, what y'all want to talk about? What y'all want to talk about? Talk about? Hey, anybody in the chat from Miami? Anybody in the chat from Miami?
Starting point is 00:33:15 We hooping tomorrow at Pebble Park at 8 o'clock in the morning if y'all want to come through. Y'all want to come through and check me out. And I scored two goals a night, too. I scored two goals a night on my soccer team and my Jamaican team. We call top notch. Matter of fact, we so good. We could probably beat Real Madrid right now.
Starting point is 00:33:32 That's how good we are. All Jamaicans. I'm the only Yank. And I don't understand nothing them boys be saying. Other than that, chat y'all good. I love y'all. Make sure you use the code. If you're getting Nightcap merch The code was
Starting point is 00:33:46 Saturday Yep Saturday 20 That's what it is Saturday 20 That's the code So y'all grab the merch The quality is real good
Starting point is 00:33:53 The quality is real thick Real real real thick I will go on Into explanation On the type of cotton We're using But we use the kind of cotton They use on mummies
Starting point is 00:34:04 Yeah That's the kind of cotton We're using, but we use the kind of cotton they use on mummies. Yeah, that's the kind of cotton we use. You know, that's that good Egyptian cotton. Yeah. And that's pretty much it. Oh, recycle? We use recycled cotton? Yeah, we use recycled cotton from Egypt.
Starting point is 00:34:29 Like the same cotton that they wrap the mummies with. Yeah, that cotton. Real nice, thick. You can wash it and wear it again. It don't shrink. That kind of cotton. Good. Yeah. Hey, I tell you what we're going to do.
Starting point is 00:34:48 This is what we're going to do, Ocho. If we can get 20 people to order in the next 10 minutes, I'll ship you your mug. Hey. Hey, 20 people. Hey, 20 people, man. We'll see how bad they want you to get those mugs.
Starting point is 00:35:05 20 people. If y'all could, listen, just do me a solid. I would like my mug. I would like to have my nightcap mug so I can enjoy my lattes and my cafe con leche in the mornings. Just do me a solid. I'd never ask y'all for nothing. I'm normally on the giving end. But if you could find it in your heart,
Starting point is 00:35:27 20 of you, just do me a solid. Please. As if my life depended on it. I want to rail up Rail Baby Hail rail she got an order too
Starting point is 00:35:52 Yeah matter of fact Let me tell her to go order something real quick That's going to be one out of twenty Ocho you ain't getting the mugs And I sent Ocho his fun coat Rail and getting the mugs. And I sent Ocho his Funko. Rel just donated your Uncle's boss something for $200. Hey, um, she said
Starting point is 00:36:22 she just gave us $200. Yeah, she did. Yeah. Hey, let me she said She just gave us $200 Yeah, she did Yeah Hey, let me tell you something That's a hoodie, that's a hoodie and a hat Okay, so send me my mug No, no, no, no, you gotta get 20 items Okay, what
Starting point is 00:36:37 Other people, other people, man See, hey, other people, y'all order, man Cause, see, Real gave us $200 Ah, my baby got money. My baby got money. Ah, yeah. Yeah, see? You see what I'm talking about?
Starting point is 00:36:51 You see what I'm talking about? I gave you $100. What? And as a consolation, I'll put that in. Hey, hey, well, you're a good one. Hey, you're a good one, boy. You're a good one, boy. I don't care what they say about you. I don't care what they say about you.
Starting point is 00:37:12 But, hey, chat, y'all do me that solid there. My baby already gave her. Hey, my baby got money. She dropped $200 like it was nothing. Like it ain't nothing? Yeah, like it ain't nothing. And you somebody actually signed a prenup. Now you see,
Starting point is 00:37:25 that's why I ain't signing no goddamn prenup because I want some of that. Yeah. Yeah, I want some of that. All right, Ocho, it's time for our last segment of the day.
Starting point is 00:37:35 Hold on, where's, what? Oh, yeah, check this out, Ocho. Yeah. You got to, you're not going to even believe this. A guy sues EMT for bringing him back to life. Check out the video.
Starting point is 00:37:48 He's suing the EMT? Yeah, he brought him back to life. Check this out. So this guy is in court trying to sue the EMT, which is like the emergency medical technician. He's trying to sue him for bringing him back to life. After being involved in a hit and run, he said that he has a huge tattoo on his chest
Starting point is 00:38:10 that says D-N-R. That means do not resuscitate. And that he resuscitated him without his consent. Y'all, he said he was perfectly fine crossing over to see Jesus. And he is now left with a $40,000 hospital bill since they brought him back to life. Come on, y'all see the DNR? In bold black.
Starting point is 00:38:37 DNR. So the judge on the case was like, DNR could stand for anything. It's not up to the EMT to decide. Hey, that's crazy. Oh, Joe. That's crazy for the simple fact that a lot of people in our community think like that. Instead of
Starting point is 00:38:56 burying their family with those bills? The economy we in? The man rather transition to the afterlife than be here and deal with that $40,000 bill. Let's think about it. If he passed on, that $40,000
Starting point is 00:39:10 was going to somebody else then. No, $40,000. He's like, I ain't got $40,000 to pay. You put me in debt. Okay, maybe they cremated him, which is probably what, $4,000, $5,000?
Starting point is 00:39:22 I don't know how much cremated. I mean, obviously, I haven't had anybody cremated. But it's like, it's 4,000, 5,000? I don't know how much cremated. I mean, obviously, I haven't had anybody cremated. But it's going to be cheaper. It's cheaper. It's cheaper. There ain't no $40,000 burial. Yeah. Unless he king of India somewhere. It would have been cheaper to be dead,
Starting point is 00:39:36 huh? Hey. You know, like, a lot of people might laugh. Some people might think it's funny. But when you think about it in hindsight, the fact that he'd rather transition and be dead than actually be alive, that says a lot. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:51 That says a lot where we are as a society. Man, think about people that want to go to the doctor. Doctor costs money. A lot of people are not in position. To go to the doctor. You know, you have to have, they come to your house,
Starting point is 00:40:04 you got to have an emergency. And you got to use the ambulance. Oh, emergency. You know, you have to have they come to your house you got to have an emergency and you got to use the ambulance. Man, people ain't got money for that. Mm-hmm. That's crazy. So they like, hey God tried to bring me on home and I ain't finna put my family in debt
Starting point is 00:40:16 I'm finna put people in debt. They'd never be able to get out from under these bills. Some people $45,000 they'd never be able to pay that. Man, that's why Well, as long as I owe you, I'll never be broke.
Starting point is 00:40:29 That's true. That's true. I think... We got to vote. We got to vote. I think that's the only way things are going to change. I sent the hospital a bill.
Starting point is 00:40:42 I sent them a note, Ocho. Yeah, what's the note go say? I'm going to say, look here, I'm going to put this $40,000 on a running account. If I don't run up and pay y'all ass, don't y'all run up and ask me for it no more. It's too bad. Hey, I mean, I grew up in a situation, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:41:00 I mean, we have no money, Ocho. We couldn't go to no doctor. I mean, I'm talking about, itcho. We couldn't go to no doctor. I mean, I'm talking about, it really had to be life or death. Right. Like, I mean, a cut, you know, I remember,
Starting point is 00:41:18 man, Ocho, what is this? You see that scar? Can y'all see that scar put on my chin I had a mole about the size of my pinky Ocho my aunt got some told me to go I got we had a Shetland pony and she said go to the
Starting point is 00:41:38 go to the horse pen and get a couple of his horse his hairs out of his tail and get bring me the his horse hair, his hairs out of his tail and break me the scissors. My aunt cut it off. What? The mole, yep. That ain't hurt? Yeah, it hurt.
Starting point is 00:41:58 What anesthesia? Cut it off. Man, that thing bled so much. And then she told me to find some cobwebs so I had to find some cobwebs I went and got a big handful of spotted webs went all through the on house on the back porch front porch got spotted webs and that's what we use for gauze
Starting point is 00:42:16 but god god damn that's a home remedy I ain't never heard of that home remedy right there boy man she tried But that's a home remedy. I ain't never heard of that home remedy right there, boy. Damn. Man, my aunt. I be bashing that my aunt, man. She try it.
Starting point is 00:42:27 I let her. Hey. They try anything on me. I'm game. I ain't know no better. Hey, I like that. That's a good one, though. Goddamn.
Starting point is 00:42:35 Cobwebs is gauze? Yeah. Shit. That was you. And yeah, that's uh that thing it have a scar yeah
Starting point is 00:42:48 it got a big ass scar but that thing that mold about that big Ocho about as big as my pinky the tip of my pinky yeah you had to get
Starting point is 00:42:58 that thing up out of there yeah I told her she like you want me to cut it off I said yeah I went got some got some horse hair yeah she got them scissors Yeah. I told her, she like, you want me to cut it off? I said, yeah. I went and got some horse hair.
Starting point is 00:43:08 Yeah. She got them scissors. What was the horse hair for? The horse hair was the final thing that she pulled in. Got it off. Oh. But she started it with the scissors. Man, that thing bled so much, Cho-Cho. Yeah, of course.
Starting point is 00:43:22 Man, I thought I was going to bleed to death. Did you get dizzy? Nah. Man, I think, you know, when you young, man, you don't. Man, somebody did that now, I pass out. But you know, when you young, Ocho, you don't really be thinking about nothing. Right, right, right. Like when my brother cut me on my leg, I got this.
Starting point is 00:43:43 Can you see the scar? My brother cut me on my leg, I got this. Can you see the scar? My brother cut me. Man, that face sliced open. I probably should have had about 10 stitches. Wait, you had a deep gas and didn't get no stitches? No, hell no. Play for what? Because I had to tell my granddaddy what happened.
Starting point is 00:44:01 Why I needed stitches. My brother wanted to see who had the sharpest knife, so he cut me. Man, my granddaddy would have killed my brother. Man, please. Hey, well, y'all was wild. Oh, yeah. Man, the only time
Starting point is 00:44:20 I can remember going to my sister's, this was before I was born, my sister and my aunt was running through the house. And my sister was probably about three or four. And she was chasing my aunt. And she was running behind her. And my aunt slammed the door and took my sister these three fingers.
Starting point is 00:44:43 Ah! That was the only time. That was the only time, that's the only time that I can remember other than having a baby that somebody went to the hospital, that I was told somebody went to the hospital. I don't remember nobody going to the hospital when I was alive.
Starting point is 00:44:56 My sister went, my sister had my nephew, she went, obviously she went to the hospital, but hell, ain't nobody know. She had a baby. She talking about her stomach hurt. Like, what the hell your stomach hurt, ain't nobody know. Shit, anybody. You talking about a stomach hurt. Like, what the hell your stomach hurt for?
Starting point is 00:45:08 Had a baby. So, so that what happened. Man, that's crazy. How many orders? Oh, Joe, we got 17 orders. People must
Starting point is 00:45:23 want you to get that thing, that mug. So we need three more? Three more? You need three more? Three more? Three more orders. Well, technically, my baby sent us $200. That's included.
Starting point is 00:45:35 We included that. For real? Yeah. And you had to pay for the hoodie that you took. I ain't take no hoodie you gave me then. Yeah, you did. No, I ain't no gave you. Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Starting point is 00:45:47 I'm a part of nightcap. You mean I can't get a hoodie without having to pay for it? No, hell no. You charging me too? Yes, yes. For God, for God damn. I sent my brother the link.
Starting point is 00:46:01 I sent his ass the link. My homeboy Bucket he got the link Burns he got the link alright well you know my kids asking for nightcap stuff I'm finna sit in there

Starting point is 00:53:03 What you trying to do? You trying to do something, don't do something? It to do then? What you trying to do? You trying to do something for two something? It's a bachelor party. What do people do at bachelor parties? You can't do that. Oh.
Starting point is 00:53:15 Oh, my bad, my bad, my bad, my bad. Yeah. You know what? I remember the story I told you when I was a little younger, you know, in the college? Yeah. For bachelorette parties.
Starting point is 00:53:25 Yeah. I used to be a dancing bear. You know about the dancing bear parties? Mm-hmm. Yeah. I was a dancing bear. So I told Rare, listen, I'm sending security with you. So whatever you do at your little bachelorette party, just know security will be present. Because all that trying to
Starting point is 00:53:41 one last time and all that. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no. It won't be it won't be like that. I'm telling you what I used to do at basketball parties. So I know I'm not saying you like that. I'm not saying that's your character, but
Starting point is 00:53:58 just in case whatever you ain't got, you won't be getting. Yeah, I promise you that. No, no. Hey, man. That's the rep part. That's the part.
Starting point is 00:54:13 I'm excited. I'm excited. Yeah, I'm excited too. Hey, remember the episode? What if me and Reb getting ready to get married, right? We in the Bahamas. Remember the episode of A Different World when Dwayne came out of nowhere?
Starting point is 00:54:29 It's about, no, don't do it. Anybody can, if anybody objected to this marriage, speak now, wherever, hold your feet. Remember the episode? What if somebody come out, come out the blue and be like,
Starting point is 00:54:41 no, Real, don't do it. I love you. I'm gonna fire on him. You gonna hit him? Yeah! That's what I'm talking about. He right in the kisser. Messing up my motherfucking night, man. Yeah, die.
Starting point is 00:54:58 Mm-mm. I like it. Hey, he better be one of the real drunk brothers or something. Hey, that'd be funny. Hey, just better be one of the real drunk brothers or something. Hey, that'd be funny. Hey, just think about that episode, man. Dwayne came out of nowhere. Oh, that's a classic episode, man. You know what episode I'm talking about, right?
Starting point is 00:55:16 No, I don't remember that episode. You ain't see that? Willie was finna marry the other dude. And Dwayne came down the aisle. Did she not marry him? No. And she, she like,
Starting point is 00:55:28 yeah, she, she like, he like, she was in love. They were supposed to be, they were supposed to, they were supposed to be together anyway.
Starting point is 00:55:34 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. They were supposed to be together anyway. Yeah. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:55:39 but I wonder, I wonder if that'll happen. I wonder if that like, really like, if somebody, if there are a documented case. You think that happens at weddings? I'm probably that'll happen. I wonder if that, like, really, like, if somebody, if there are a documented case. You think that happens at weddings? I'm probably sure it has.
Starting point is 00:55:50 I ain't never seen that. I thought that only happened in the movies. I'm sure it has. That's messed up. Of all times, wait, you could express your displeasure long before the goddamn wedding. Long as long as it ain't a family member. As long as it's not your mom or dad saying, I object.
Starting point is 00:56:10 Oh, yeah. Somebody else coming out the woodworks and saying it's a bull job. Yeah. Okay. That's messed up. But mom and dad say that, you about, oh, okay. I asked my son, what if I said I object? You be upset with me
Starting point is 00:56:25 my daddy don't do that I already told my daughter say you already know I'm gonna be standing right there because I got to walk you down the aisle I'm gonna walk her down the aisle we gonna get to that spot then I'm gonna turn around and walk her right back up out hey that's the moment right back up out. Hey.
Starting point is 00:56:46 That's their moment. I would never do anything that's not their moment. Yeah, listen, I'm excited. I know the day is supposed to be about her. I'm excited. I just, as long as I get to come, as long as I get to ride in on that white horse,
Starting point is 00:57:03 I don't care about nothing else. As long as I get to ride in on that white horse, I don't care about nothing else. As long as I get to ride in on that white horse and I had the Junkanoo at the reception. You know about Junkanoo in the Bahamas, right? I heard about it. You tell them about it. Yeah. As long as they have the Valley Boy and Junkanoo to finish the reception off and we celebrate the right way and I have open bar with live music, she can do whatever she want. I'd be happy.
Starting point is 00:57:24 That's it. Go ahead, Rel. Rel, tell her you ain't gonna marry her if you got a sign of pre-nup. Well. Get on over there, Rel. Get on over there, Rel. Hey, listen. All Rel got, Rel, stall him out.
Starting point is 00:57:40 Oh, so basically I'm Tua and she the Dolphins organization. Yep. Yeah, all right. We can play that. Listen, I'm trying to protect myself. Sherelle has afforded me a lifestyle
Starting point is 00:57:53 that I've never had before. You know, I'm a stay-at-home father. I get an allowance a month. You know, at the beginning of the month, I get a little stipend. I get a little food stipend. Like, this is new for me and I'm enjoying
Starting point is 00:58:08 the lifestyle that she's provided for me yeah and I'm not trying I'm not trying to lose that so I'm not signing no prenup if she want to leave I'm taking half of what she got and that's it
Starting point is 00:58:18 period and I don't care what people in the chat say I don't care what dudes got to say like women do it to us all the time and now I'm in a position where I can take advantage of the situation. And that's what the fuck I'm going to do. Shit.
Starting point is 00:58:33 Marshawn Hunter said congratulations again on all the awards. No joke. But on behalf of Lanny Ray, what goes on in Vegas stays in Vegas. LOL. Okay, okay. Well, considering we haven't heard from her in a Vegas, LOL. Okay, okay, okay. Well, considering we haven't heard from her in a couple of days,
Starting point is 00:58:49 oh, she tore up. Ain't no way, ain't no way. This is the longest she's ever gone without asking a question. So I'm assuming that she in Vegas. She having a ball, huh? Yeah, she blitzed. Melissa A said hey Uncle Nocho would you date someone
Starting point is 00:59:08 that's a fan of your rival team I went on a date and never got a call back I'm a Chiefs fan he's a Raiders fan I didn't think he liked that I was a Chiefs fan hell yeah yeah I don't think it has much to do with you got nothing to do with that yeah ain't got nothing to do with that
Starting point is 00:59:23 you could be the Raiders owner's daughter ain't got nothing to do with that. Yeah, it ain't got nothing to do with that. Yeah, you could be the Raiders' owner's daughter. It ain't got nothing to do with me. Yeah. Hey, that's our rival. You and I ain't rivals. That ain't got nothing to do with me. Hey, please. Because I know in high school, you know,
Starting point is 00:59:43 they're better. Where you from? Okay. I hate them. I don't hate you. You know, if you're dating someone, I've seen a lot of couples,
Starting point is 00:59:56 people that are married. Yeah. Bangle's wife, married to a Steeler's husband. I think it makes for football season or makes it fun for a sporting event, especially when the two opposing teams play. I think that's dope.
Starting point is 01:00:10 Nah, you ain't coming to my house. Hey, when you come to my look, hey, who you for? If you rooting for the other team, you ain't coming here to watch the game with me. Fighter, we got, hey, because nah, because I don't want you jumping up around being in my face because I'm
Starting point is 01:00:28 a sore loser I'm a really sore loser in my own own right so I'm gonna put your ass out you gonna hit it with that Martin you know what get out Martin was throwing their ass out every episode yep you ain't finna be yelling
Starting point is 01:00:44 and screaming till I go. Yeah, y'all. Nah, nah, nah. I already know me. So just stay. Just go ahead and stay at your place. Just watch it at your house. You want to celebrate because I want you to be able to jump up and down and yell and scream and do all that.
Starting point is 01:00:59 And go leave the refrigerator open and go drink whatever you want and eat all the nachos and the quesos and the wings that you want, but you're not going to eat up all that stuff at my house and then root against my team.
Starting point is 01:01:11 That ain't going to happen. So you better root up under your breath. Yeah. Hey, you better play it off as heartburn. Know what? They're not going to want to watch it at your house
Starting point is 01:01:28 because you don't listen with the sound on anyway. I sure don't. I sure don't. That's another reason. Can I hear the sound? Go downstairs. The sound in the bedroom TV don't work. They're going to be screaming from downstairs.
Starting point is 01:01:43 Yes. Nope. Sure don't. Don't watch be screaming from downstairs. Yes. Nope. Sure don't. Don't watch anything with sound on. It's done got so bad. I don't really watch. The only thing I probably watch with sound is probably track and field. That's the only thing that I watch with sound.
Starting point is 01:01:55 Everything else. It's done got so bad. I can't remember the last time I watched a program that wasn't sports with sound. Right. They're like, how you know what's going on? I'm like, I'm just watching. Right. Somebody kills somebody
Starting point is 01:02:09 and they go go to jail. Mm-hmm. I don't watch, I don't watch all the forensic files. I don't watch all the old first 48s. So I know what's going to happen. Yeah. So that's what we are on that.
