Starting point is 00:02:38 The South Carolina Lady Game Cogs beat the Yukon Huskies, 62 to 48. And the final seconds, Gino Oriama approached Don Staley for a postgame handshake and then angrily got in her face before Don started firing back. The two were separated, but Don kept shouting towards the bench before walking away. Gino walked off to the tunnel alone. In his postgame news conference, Gino said he was frustrated because he waited for three minutes for a pregame handshake with Don. He also said he did not regret the comments he made to Holly Road during the broadcast
Starting point is 00:03:09 about the lack of files against South Carolina. It said Don rants and raves at the officials and call referees some names you don't want to hear. Clearly, someone got through the general because this morning he issued a statement saying, there are no excuses for how I'll handle the end of the game versus South Carolina. It's unlike what I do and what our standard is here at Connecticut. I want to apologize to the staff and the team at South Carolina. It was uncalled for how I reacted. The story should have been how well South Carolina played,
Starting point is 00:03:37 and I don't want my actions to distract from that. I have a great relationship with their staff, and I sincerely want to apologize to them, Gino Oriama. Well, I'm glad you apologize because we're about to tell your ass up, Gino. But anyway, Ocho, Joe, we're still going to tear his ass up. Oh, yeah, absolutely. And he was dead wrong. Yeah, hey, dead wrong.
Starting point is 00:03:57 Hey, Uncle Joe, listen, as a coach, especially a winning coach like Gino, you have to be able you should understand and you know how to learn how to win with grace and lose with grace when you beat miss staley last time he was all smiles happy hugs ready to you know whatever it may be in the fact that you say some things to holly row and saying that in the game that don stately probably influenced the rest because you y'all guys didn't get the calls necessary listen south carolina they didn't just beat y'all they dominated in every aspect aspect of the game. They played great defense. Yeah. It just did. That wasn't a, that wasn't getting beat. That was getting your ass whip. Yeah. That's all it was. I mean, listen, your team got
Starting point is 00:04:41 embarrassed. You got to be able to lose with grace as well. Okay, you didn't get the three minute handshake or you waited three minutes before, you know, pregame and you didn't, what is that that had so you still. She did she take the whole joke. Yeah. She shook her hand. In pregame, well, why did he say Before the game, she shook his hand, man. Oh, so he's upset and he had to wait three minutes? Why didn't you bring that up? He's upset. He was the favorite.
Starting point is 00:05:08 They blew South Carolina out last year. They were favorite. They got two All-American, first team, All-American. They might have the player of the year in Sarah Strong. Sarah, and she nice. But, but, South Carolina beat him. Yeah. And so this is, I was, I thought I was going to win.
Starting point is 00:05:27 I was supposed to win. And I got beat. Yeah. That's what this was about. This was a sore loser. Yeah. Yeah. A damn handshake.
Starting point is 00:05:35 Yeah. Undefeated season. You know, he was softened, bro. He was softy. And how about not just apologizing to the coaching staff, you know, give a personal apology to Don Staley. You know what I mean? Like, bro, for you to get in her face like that and talk stuff after the game,
Starting point is 00:05:50 man, just congratulate and move on. I understand, you know, in the heat of the battle, you know, we get a little pissed off. You know, like I said, he was on the brink to having an undefeited. the season, Uncle Ocho. Yeah. And like, like Uncle said, he was a heavy favorite, but man, them girls from South Carolina. They just outplayed him.
Starting point is 00:06:05 They rolled to the cage. They outplayed them. They dogged them. He couldn't take it. He couldn't take it. No, no, don't say South Carolina. You didn't do this to South Carolina. You were in Don Staley's face.
Starting point is 00:06:17 I apologize. You know what? I want to apologize to their staff and I want to personally apologize to Don Staley. Now you told a lie because you said you had a great relationship with the staff. You don't. You said before,
Starting point is 00:06:27 they asked you after the game. do you have a relationship? You said no. Right. So were you lying then or you're lying now? Right, right. Hey. Hey, you know what?
Starting point is 00:06:36 Whoever wrote that apology to, Uncle Joe, for him? Yeah, GPT. Allegedly. That too. And he knew if you're going to apologize to somebody. Allegedly. Yeah. If you're going to apologize to someone,
Starting point is 00:06:46 you apologize to the person you had the altercation with. That's what I'm saying. You didn't have an altercation with the staff. That's what I'm saying. You didn't have an altercation with the entire entity of South Carolina. Yeah. That apology has been directed straight to Don, Staley and nobody else.
Starting point is 00:07:00 Yeah, and the fact that he was dead wrong talking about, oh, my player got a ripped jersey. Hell, she ripped her own damn jersey. Yeah, she ripped the own jersey. Yeah, she ripped the own jersey. Yeah, she ripped a own jersey. Well, I guess you never had a plan to get that upset me. Because she ripped that on her own damn jersey.
Starting point is 00:07:15 Like, just dead wrong. Just, you know, you dead wrong like that, bro. Just apologize, make a personal apology to Dunn. That's what I felt like it should have been. But I just felt like he was dead wrong, bro. Dead wrong. Don said, I'll beat, I beat Gino A. I'm a beat Gino A.
Starting point is 00:07:31 Oh, you read her lips? You read her lips too? No, no lip. You go into the audio. That's what she said. Okay, okay, okay. Hey, Dawn from Philly, okay, Ocho, she ain't playing. Norfield.
Starting point is 00:07:41 Yeah, she's about to get to it. Yeah. And that's, any time, you have to, it has to have, it has to be personal. Yes. Because what you did was personal. Yeah. Okay, you want to apologize to your institution? because the way you behaved
Starting point is 00:07:58 and put them in a negative light, you can say that. I want to apologize to my university also. But you did this to Don. You didn't do this to the entire staff. You did this to one individual. Now, whatever the case may be, I don't know where it goes back from,
Starting point is 00:08:12 but he had a very contentious, contentious relationship with Pat Summitt, the University of Tennessee. Yeah. It was very contentious. I know had a lovely opportunity of meeting, Pat, in New York at the Sky Club at LaGuardia.
Starting point is 00:08:28 Had a great time. I said, Ms. Summitt, she said, call me Pat, you know, so forth and so on. But, Gino, you was wrong. And your apology, I appreciate it. But it needs to have a personal touch to it. It needs to say, I apologize to the person that I spoke out of turn
Starting point is 00:08:44 to, that I approach, that I probably said something that I should say. I don't know what he's saying. But the way you behave is that you took a lot of the the steam out of the sale of South Carolina because what we should be talking about, that South Carolina did what many didn't think they could do,
Starting point is 00:09:02 beat an undefeated team, a reigning champion, with two All-Americans, and they did it on the defensive end. Yeah. Yeah, there had some ladies that rose to the occasion offensively, but this was a defense. You look at what Sarah Strong shot, you look at what Azy Fudd shot, and that'll tell you everything that you need to know.
Starting point is 00:09:19 For you to not have any personal touch and said, I'd like to apologize first and foremost to Don Staley. She's a hell of a coach. She's rebate. Look here, the Gamecocks, when you think about the gamecocks, you think about their women's basketball team.
Starting point is 00:09:32 You don't think about the football team, and they had a baseball team, had a good baseball team, good track program with Sarge Fry. But when you think of South Carolina, Gamecocks, you think of Don Staley and the Lady Gamecox. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:09:45 Absolutely. And so for you not to talk about the staff, you said you do not have a personal relationship with Don Staley. I'm not saying that you have to. Yeah, yeah. That's fine. But your behavior would suggest that you need to have personally apologized to her.
Starting point is 00:10:05 I appreciate you apologizing to the University of Science Carolina and their staff. But they got to be a have a little more personal touch to it. That's what I apologize. Because apology, in order for you to, for you, an individual, because what you did was to an individual. You need to personally apologize. the said individual. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:10:26 Go ahead, don't you? What do you want to say? Honestly, and, you know, excuse my language. Man, fuck that apology. Most of the time it takes for somebody to get angry
Starting point is 00:10:37 for them to show their true colors and how they really feel. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I mean, that's all it is. Yeah. And then on top of that, the fact that he didn't apologize directly to him,
Starting point is 00:10:48 it lets you know how he really feel. Right, right. When you win it, when you win in all is good. When you win the game last year, when he was on the sideline, the clock's running down. He got his hands all up there. Hey, smiling. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:01 New come back where we're supposed to be. Yeah. Hey, that, man, that fake-ass apology, man, ain't that one no apology, man. He didn't, he didn't even write it. But check this out. Can y'all imagine what Don Staley was like in the locker room after the game? Like, wait a kick that motherfucker. You know what, you know, you know she was going out like that.
Starting point is 00:11:19 Oh, wait a minute. Hey, that's what I would have been like. I'm like, man. Wait, wait. Wait a minute, Joe and Uncle, hold on. You want to, you, you think it's bad because Gino did this. Imagine if the motherfucking rolls was flipped. Boy.
Starting point is 00:11:33 Yeah. Man, it would have been World War III. Yeah. They'd have been talking big stuff about Don. Man, listen. You got to be just as a gracious in victory as you are in defeat. Now think about it. Think about Gino.
Starting point is 00:11:48 Gino's been coaching 20, 40 years. He's been the 25 Final Fours. He's won 12. 12 championships. So somebody has been on the losing end 12 times. Gino is 12 and 1 in national championship games. Dang him. Because I've Carolina beat him a couple of years ago.
Starting point is 00:12:08 He's 12 and 1. So 12 times somebody had to walk across the floor, across the court aisle, and shake his hand after gotten their ass toe up. Yeah. You look at the women that he's coached, from Tarasi and Lobo and Maya Moore and Charles and Brianna Stewart, and the list goes on and on.
Starting point is 00:12:31 He's winning three out of four. Brianna Stewart didn't lose a national championship game. So for four straight years, this man, he up to cheat, key, key, and in people's face. Yeah. Now, the one time you're supposed to win and you didn't, you behave like this. Remember, you're as gracious in victory as you are in defeat.
Starting point is 00:12:52 Nobody likes to lose. Everybody's talking about, man, I'm a sore. I hate when people say, well, I hate to lose. If you at that, once you get to a certain level, everybody hates to lose. Yes. You put all that damn time in, all these girls and put all this time in and been away from their families and doing all this stuff. Nobody doesn't want to lose.
Starting point is 00:13:11 No. But it's a part of it. Yep. But when they lose, they don't act like a jackass. Yeah, yeah. Man, that kills me. I hate what guy. Oh, I'm a so.
Starting point is 00:13:22 Yeah. it bothers me anybody because I know there are some guys that hey when they when they winning they running around and act like the on the damn hubbard yeah but when they lose oh cho they can't be found well you know I I didn't want no no no no but they couldn't get you to shut up yeah yeah no don't do that yeah yeah I just didn't I just didn't expect that from gino bro I just felt like he was a classy individual and I thought that you know he would he would be much better than that. Like, blame and Don on how she talked to the rep.
Starting point is 00:13:56 Man, come on, man. We in between the lines. Like he ain't never saying something out of line to the ref. Come on, man. But that ain't your job. That's the rep. You ain't no ref. You're a coach.
Starting point is 00:14:05 It's not dry snitching. And the way he said it, the way explained it is as if Don screaming or saying, whatever she's saying to the referees is influencing the refs call in the game. Right. Then he follows it up with the files. What are we talking about, baby? You got whooped, you lost. Yes.
Starting point is 00:14:29 You don't lose often, but tonight you lost. Yeah. What about that? Ocho, the man to won, he won like a hundred and twelve something games. He won like, he went like three straight years and never lost the game. Man, he, ain't nobody, ain't nobody did, did what he did to him, what Don Staling. what he did to Don. They didn't do that to him.
Starting point is 00:14:54 Don took that ass with it. I think they beat the Carolina last year. They beat him, I think they beat him in South Carolina, beat him about 30 or 40, and they beat him by another 2030 last year in the championship game. Yeah, Don got some dogs over there on the Ocho.
Starting point is 00:15:09 Oh, yeah. And Chloe Kitts, one of their best rebounding girls. She hurt. Yeah, yeah. But McKear and Lassen, and Raven Johnson, all those, hey, them girls came to play. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:20 They came to play. They came to play last night, and I just hope they can finish it off. It's going to be anticlimactic if they take down Goliath and they don't take care of UCLA. The UCLA, they got a big girl down there who ain't playing. Laura Betts. Yeah, she's nice. Hey.
Starting point is 00:15:40 But Carolina going to play some defense night. They don't do nothing else. They're going to play deep. They're going to hang their half some defense. Because that's what Don was. Don was a, hey, yeah, she could put the ball in basket, But Don was a hound. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:52 And she got some girls who can go off the bounce, though. I'm talking about to get to that chicken, Uncle Ocho. Yeah. Like, you know, it's different when you got girls who are out there moving like dudes. You see what I'm saying? Who handling that rock like a dude? Like, that's when you're like, hold on, bro. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:16:08 Yeah, for real. That's why I'd be looking up. Like, hold on, that girl got that thing on a string, though. Mm-hmm. So. But Carolina did it. The Lady Gamecox has an opportunity to win their third national. championship in four years.
Starting point is 00:16:21 For what she's done to that program, wow. Man. Basically, that's what you got to do. Because for the most part, when you get a program, you build it up. Look at Gino.
Starting point is 00:16:34 Gino was there for 40 plus. It's been a Q-Qar for 40 years. Pat was there for 35, 40 years. Tar Vandevere at Stanford, 35, 40 years. You look at these ladies in Kim Monke when she was at Baylor. She built that program up. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:49 So basically you've got to build a program. You just got to build it. You got to be a great players coach to where these kids that's coming to your school, they got to really truly believe that you got their back. And I feel like we're done, you know, she in TikTok, she in Instagram. You know what I mean? That's relatable to these kids because that's all they want to do. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:17:13 They want to have fun, do stuff like that at the same time. If you're giving me everything that I'm asking for on the court, 100% on offense and defense, man, I do all the TikToks y'all want to do. What did she do? What did she do? She let a team pick out a bag, a Louis Vuitton bag. I think she let Jackson State and them get sneakers. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:31 I think she, I mean, she's just, I look, I've never met Don, but she just strikes me as an all-around good player, a good person. Yeah. She wants to, hey, look, she's a hard worker. You can tell she's a hard worker. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But, and she demands, she, she, she, she, she, she, she, she, she, she, she, she, she, she, she, she, she, she, she, she, she, she, uh, once a, once a coach established what he expects, or she expects, and they don't waver. There you go. Yeah, she, uh, shout out the done, man, she came a holiday at us when I was playing in a big three. This is when I was playing with the
Starting point is 00:18:14 triplets and Lisa Leslie was our head coach. You know, her Lisa Leslie played together, USA. You know, they dogs. Yeah. Not I mean? So she came in there and talked to us, bro. Like, you know, just gave us a little pep talk before the game. And I thought that was cool.
Starting point is 00:18:27 So I got much love and respect for her. I like how she handled herself, you know, after they gained another day. Because I'm going to tell you, I would have been the same way. Hell, I wouldn't have been surprised. She jumped on Gino's ass. I was like, well, look. I can't whip it. I can't whip it in front of all these folks.
Starting point is 00:18:43 But hold on. Wasn't Don under Gino at the U.S. team? Yeah. They coached in the Olympics in 20. She played for him too. She played for him and coached with him. He was the coach. Because I know I think Pat coach for a number of years.
Starting point is 00:19:12 But if I'm not, she might be. Is she still the USA basketball, U.S. women's basketball coach, in 21? Tell you, now, I mean, our women had lost the gold medal since, I think what, 92, 96? Mm. We don't won 2004, 8, 12, 16, 21, 24. So we don't want seven straight time.
Starting point is 00:19:42 They don't even have no competition, though. No. Nah, they too good. Because we go, I mean, we bring, we bring, I mean, we got Stu, our big is Stew in Asia. And then we got guards out of the Ying Yang. Yeah. We got Caitlin Clark.
Starting point is 00:19:58 We got a Nescu. We got, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, Chelsea, we got Jackie Young. Yeah. They can't help with us. Them girls. Too many. Them girls.
Starting point is 00:20:08 We got feet. Yeah. They can't fool with us. Mm-mm. Them girls and gold boy. Okay. Okay. Cheryl Reeves, okay.
Starting point is 00:20:26 So who's the coach? Who's going to be the coach in 28? Reeves again? You know, you're better than that, Gino. All the, I mean, it's, huh? Carol Lawson. Okay. Duke.
Starting point is 00:20:42 Okay. Oh, yeah. to see on the path. She coaching the USA thing? Yeah, you're going to be the coach in 28. I like Carol Austin. She good. I like Carol Austin too. But you notice it's always, it's mainly the coaches that win a lot and then when they lose, show date, because you know who else was like that? Who? You know you play for a mocho. Who? Bill Belichick.
Starting point is 00:21:06 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Want to run off the field and don't, don't shake hands. Be getting short with the answers. It's always the people that win. You, bro, you don't win, and coaches have to answer the question and talk about how great that play call was and how you went forward and all of this and that. They got to just allude you with a praise and adulation. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:29 Now you lose a game. Egu, you want to answer. Oh, yeah, big time. Got to play better. Coach better. That's it. Pelletache said, damn, all that. Ready for a different take on Formula One?
Starting point is 00:21:47 Look no further than no grip, a new podcast tackling the culture of motor racing's most coveted series. Join me, Lily Herman, as we dive into the under-explored pockets of F-1, including the astrology of the current grid. Lewis Hamilton, Crapicorn Sun, Cancer Moon. Wouldn't you know it, Michael Schumacher is also a Capricorn Sun, Cancer Moon? The story of the sports most consequential driver strike. We have one man who, upon hearing that he was going to be fired, freaked out, and apparently, climbed out the window of the bathroom. And was Daniel Ricardo's illustrious F1 career,
Starting point is 00:22:19 a success story, a cautionary tale, or some combination of both? He started getting all this attention, and he maybe started to think, I'm bigger than this, I'm better, and plenty of other mishap, scandals, and sagas that have made Formula One a delightful, decadent dumpster fire for more than 75 years.
Starting point is 00:22:38 Listen to no grip on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. If you're trying to keep up with everything happening on and off the court, we've got you covered on the podcast, flagrant and funny. You look at the top four number one seeds. What do you think UCLA is going to do? Break down that for me, my friend. Obviously, Yukon is the overwhelming favorite in this tournament.
Starting point is 00:23:00 But I'll be honest, I think people are kind of sleeping on Texas. Experts are suggesting that UCLA is the number one challenger to Yukon and that right after that would be Texas. S&C is so deep and so thick and just about everything. It really is annoying. So it's UCLA, Texas, South Carolina, LSU. Only ones that could possibly upset Yukon. On Flagrant and Funny, we're giving our unfiltered takes
Starting point is 00:23:26 on the biggest moments of the conversations everyone's having. So whether your bracket is busted or you just want the latest on the tournament, we got you. Listen to Flakron and Funny with Kerry Champion and Jamel Hill on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast or wherever you get your podcast. For us, soccer, football, is a story we've shared for over 30 years since Daniel was the star player on our high school soccer team. Very debatable. And I was their most loyal and sometimes only fan. I love this game. I love its history, it's hope, its heartbreak, and above all, its beauty.
Starting point is 00:24:30 Together, we'll find out why, of all the unimportant things, football, soccer, is the most important. Listen to the away end with Daniel Auer Kohn and John Green on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever. you get your podcasts. What's up? I'm Miles Turner. And I'm Brianna Stewart. Starting point is 00:25:04 when it's like your star player is like, well, I want to leave and then actually now I'm going to stay. We talk tanking. I mean, honestly, like, I might get in trouble for this answer, but I think it's like, Definitely happening in the WBA.
Starting point is 00:25:17 And yeah, we talk about our mistakes, too. They pulled me to their side and was like, hey, man, we got a call last night, man, you can't be rolling around the city like this tonight before games, no, you know, doing this, doing whatever. And of course, family stories. They'll be like, Mommy, why did you miss that? Mommy, do you play basketball? Check out Game Recognized game with Stuy and Miles on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I'm Daniel Jeremiah.

Free agency, the Combine, the NFL draft, Pro Days, trades. This is where teams reshape their future. This is where Daniel Jeremiah makes his money.
Starting point is 00:26:07 On 40s and free agents, we break down every move that actually matters. From my draft evaluations, mock drafts, and team fits. to my top 101 free agents and how real rosters are built, cap space, contracts, and all the tough decisions included. You got quarterbacks on the move. We got teams rebuilding. It's hope season. Yeah, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:26:28 It's hope season. We'll tell you what's real, what's noise, and what it means for your favorite team. Smart analysis, real conversations every week. I don't know about the smart, but definitely analysis. Listen to 40s and free agents on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Basically, that's exactly what he said. UCLA beat Texas 51-44. Four UCLA starters scored in double figures, led by senior Lauren Betts,
Starting point is 00:26:57 who's 16 points 11 rebows, three blocks, but a crucial one late in the ball game. Kiki Wright's, we've had Kiki on 11 points, including four key free throws in the final minute to see the win. And fellow guards, Gabrielle Hawkins, whose brother, Jamie, plays at the Miami Heat, and Gianna, knee pickings, each had 10. I thought Texas, because Texas got a girl, I think it's Booker. I think Booker, she wears KD number 35. You see what she shot from the field?
Starting point is 00:27:32 Boy, they did a number on her. She missed 17 straight shots, Joe and Ocho. Before she hit that last one late, I think he put them within four or three, but she was, oh, she was bad. She got plenty of game, Ocho. I don't seen her play a few times this year, But she won 3 or 23 for six points, bro.
Starting point is 00:27:50 Yeah. And look, they ain't even lose by that many. I thought, you know, if she could have just played decent. Oh, they beat them. Yeah. If she played, if they, if she played, and here's another thing. They shot five free throws, Joe. So that tells me they're not aggressive.
Starting point is 00:28:06 No. It tells me they're settling for jumpers. Yeah. Yeah. She's 0.04. She's 0.04 from the three point line. And then she didn't shoot a free throw. Their starter, only one starter.
Starting point is 00:28:16 shot a free throw. Let that sink in. Only one starter from the University of Texas shot a free throw. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, Bess did a number on them. No, 11 board, 16.7 for 10. She can play. I like her game. Oh, she's tall. She's six, six four. I think she's tall. It's going to be a game. It's going to be can, can, can, how does UCLA handle the pressure of the lady gamecocks? Yeah. Yeah. When, when they, when they, when they, when they, when play on.
Starting point is 00:28:47 Jamar at like 2.30 or something. Two, 30. Well, I'm glad, you know, I'm, I'm, you know, I'm glad they moved it in front of the men because before Joe and Ocho, you know, they were, I think they were, wasn't they playing after the men? At one point in time, they were playing like on a Tuesday. Or have they always played on Sunday? I think they always play a day before the men.
Starting point is 00:29:09 Joe, do you remember, do you remember, Joe, Ocho? And the men's final four, they used to play a consolation game. The two teams that lost, so like Arizona and Illinois would play. Oh, no, I ain't never, I ain't known that. Yeah, they used to do that, Joe. I'd be pissed off. I wouldn't even want to play. Oh, they say, Ben, six, seven.
Starting point is 00:29:31 Damn. Yeah, yeah, yeah, she's six, seven. She's down there handling business, too, boy. She's six, what? Six, seven. Hey, hey, the thing is, hey, she can't, hey, she better, she better, she better find her a Cooper flag, because she can't wear nothing but flip-flops with.
Starting point is 00:29:48 the guy. Ain't no way she can put on new. She put on four inch here. Joe, shit damn there. Self put dog. Hey, good job. Date a girl tall of y'all? Yeah, yeah. I didn't been there. I thought so. You dated a girl Tommy? Hey, Joe, in 2017, they moved it from Tuesday to Sunday.
Starting point is 00:30:04 I knew they used to come on. I was like, bro, y'all anti-climatic. You got guys hitting buzzer beaters, Carolina, a Villanova hitting the buzzer beater. How you taught that? Yeah. Go before the men. Damn. Hey, Joe, what'd you ask me, Joe?
Starting point is 00:30:20 I say, have y'all, have y'all dated a girl tall in y'all? I have not. Ocho say, yeah. Yeah, you know, Joe, I had one by six, five. Did you really? Yeah, six, six, yeah. But if you're from the South of the country, you know, you can climb a tree. Yeah, I would, I would just get rid of say that.
Starting point is 00:30:36 Joe, you ain't never climbed, you ain't in a McLean-o-orri, nobody's told him to you? Bad Joe fired somebody. She's going to be seven-foot tall. Hey, hey, hey, Ocho, you see. The hell you went to the Amazon? Right, Ocho, you say y'all the same size when you lay down, huh? Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, Joe. Hey, Joe, hey, boy.
Starting point is 00:30:51 Joe, let's- Joe, what's the guy one of the most suited needs women from the Cuc, uh, uh, uh, I, uh, I, uh, what's the guy? Lou Aldean, those, those are the tallest women on average. I think, what, is he suited knees?
Starting point is 00:31:04 I think he's suited knees. They, they have the tallest women on average, Joe. Yeah, I ain't never dating no girl taller to me. I'm six, seven, six, eight. I mean, damn, you want, I'm dating somebody six, nine? Hold on, man, hey, hey, hey,
Starting point is 00:31:16 Joe, hold on. Most of the time, Joe, when you was playing ball like in high school and college, you dated other hoopas, right? No? Yeah, I did. Yeah. You dated the hoopas, Joe? Yeah, the girl I dated when I was in high school and college, she played ball.
Starting point is 00:31:30 That's all she was. She was about five, six. Yeah. I'm talking about somebody like six feet better, Joe. No, man. No, no, no, no. You know, you don't never, you don't really, that's rare. You don't never really see two tall people together.
Starting point is 00:31:45 Bam, Bam, and Asia. I said it's real, Ocho. Oh, my bad. Lisa Leslie and her husband. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, they're my people. Yeah, yeah. I made Lisa like six, four, six, five, and I think he like six, six, six, six, seven.
Starting point is 00:32:01 Yeah, yeah. Okay. Merton Hanks and his wife, you remember Merton Hanks, Ocho? Yeah. Yeah, he, his wife, his wife, hell, his wife might be taller than him. Yeah, Merton one time. Mertt, like six three.
Starting point is 00:32:14 She got him. I think she's about six four. Hey, I'll tell you what. I've never, I've never dated a woman. But Ms. Betts, unless she get, unless she get Nicole Yokic or the dude from Florida, that's seven foot nine, she can't wear no heels. Right. Hey, but that's how you get you a monster, though, boy.
Starting point is 00:32:31 You get your, because if the woman's tall, the child probably pretty much going to be tall. It has a lot to do with the woman. Yeah, I try. I tried, I tried, Joe. I tried, I tried. You tried? You ain't got no tall kids, Ocho? I mean, yeah, yeah, they all tall.
Starting point is 00:32:45 They all tall. But I'm just saying at that time, during that time, I was like, hey, listen. And they were like, nah, it ain't the right time. I catch it later on in life. I'm like, listen, I ain't got time to waste.
Starting point is 00:32:56 Yeah. I mean, I'm dating women my height, six foot. I mean, my height. Yeah. But not somebody like six, three, six, four, six, five. Yeah. If she put on hill, if she put on heels,
Starting point is 00:33:06 then she's taller to you. Well. Hey, she got to wear, she got to wear clogs or sandals. But the thing is, you know, my grandma and grandfather used to say, and say, boy, if you date a woman taller you, the first thing she'd get mad that you're going to hit you in your head. So I always thought like, you know what?
Starting point is 00:33:29 Nah, let me keep somebody a little, keep me a little five, little five, eight, five, five. Damn, hey. I said, no, I've never dated a woman my height. Oh, okay, my bad. I've never dated a woman my height. Okay, okay, okay. I mean, taller to me. I'm my height, six to two.
Starting point is 00:33:49 I've dated one, six, two. I've never dated one, six, three, six four, six, five. Yeah, right, right, right. Man, six five? Yeah, six, too. Don't be scared, huh? Hey, I like for them, hey, I like for them to get on their tip toes to kiss me.
Starting point is 00:34:01 Yeah, look like on my tip toes kissing a woman. Ain't nothing wrong with that, huh? Man, you're out your damn mind. Ain't nothing. Ain't nothing wrong with that. Hey, six two count tall, though, unc, for a one. Yeah, I'm not. It is.
Starting point is 00:34:11 Joe, what you think about saying? I'm on my tip toes kissing her. Ain't nothing wrong with that. Now, you know, Joe, most of the time, women have been on that tiptoe's kissing you. Yeah. Yeah. You ain't been on your tiptoe kissing no damn woman. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:24 Hey. Hey, you never know. You never know till you try it. I'm good. I'm good. I don't got old nine. I'm shrinking. So.
Starting point is 00:34:33 Yeah. Hey, hey. I'm shrinking. The fine girls, they're tall. They, they far few in between. Boy, hey, you got to be in the right place. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:42 Yeah. I'm talking about that's tall and powerful. portion right? I'm talking about, y'all know what I'm talking about? I mean, I know what you're talking about, Joe. I'm with you. I'm picking up what you're putting down, baby. What you say, Joe? I said, you know, it's hard to find a girl that's tall and sheep of portion right? Yeah, the right. Yeah. You know what I'm talking about bladile, bladile. Oh, you got to get a volleyball player then. You're right, you're right. The volleyball girl, different, ain't they? Are they? Hey. You know, Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, she's by five, she's by five, eight.
Starting point is 00:35:26 Yeah. I'm talking about good. 155. Yeah. You used to go to the games, huh? Nah, hell, no. When you were in college, you can go to a volleyball game? I'm trying to think, did we have a volleyball team when I was in college?
Starting point is 00:35:40 Oh. I was in the league. She had, she had a, I think I was like 25. She was 20. No, I was 26. She was 22. because he had just got out of school. Right.
Starting point is 00:35:52 That boy having tons of fun. Boy, it's up, hey, on average? Yes, sir. I don't know if I've ever seen one that wasn't fine. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Now, if we'd have a track, now, a track, women that threw the disc in the shot. Ooh, Lord.
Starting point is 00:36:13 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I remember them days, on the days over and that over. There you go, tell what he is. Man, we're everybody know what you like. You're going to have a 12,
Starting point is 00:36:23 but she ain't going to be with a 5-5. Nah, no, no. You know, hey, listen, I've had, you know, all different heights and sizes and, you know, weights and ethnicities. Listen, I'm like Skittles, man. I'm every color, everything getting eight. Hey, hey, you're going to taste the rainbow.
Starting point is 00:36:41 You heard what you said, Joe? You heard what you said, Joe? Everything ain't getting eight. Yeah, hey, on. You got to taste the rainbow. He's going to taste the rainbow for show. I mean, you got to, you know. You got to.
Starting point is 00:36:50 Oh, fella. He's just working on, he's just, he's an eighth degree, ninth degree tongueful master. He just keep getting different belts. Hey, man, it's only one way to get that black belt. Sometimes, hey, listen, sometimes you got to set the standard, man. You know? Oh, yeah, no, I couldn't imagine that, Joe.
Starting point is 00:37:08 Honestly, I couldn't, I mean, I wouldn't even feel like a man. I mean, if you're a guy and you on your tiptold to kiss the woman. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, Joe, come on, Joe, you six, seven, six, eight. you on your tiptoes. No. That means she's sick nine. I just can't even see it.
Starting point is 00:37:26 I can't see it. You go, hey, you go out, she got on heels. You black tie, you got a tux on. She got on heels.
Starting point is 00:37:33 I got these hard bottoms on. And they snap a picture. You on your tip toes. Hey, ain't nothing wrong with being vulnerable in that position, man, you know, for a chance.
Starting point is 00:37:44 Hey, hey, you and your soft error, uh, ain't nothing wrong with that. No. No, man. Come on, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:37:52 I'm just saying, I'm just saying, don't knock it until you try it. I'm just, look, I mean, look, if you're a short guy, probably if you five, two, five, there's a great chance if you five, five, five or under as a guy, you're probably going to end up marrying somebody
Starting point is 00:38:04 taller than you. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Because most of the time, you know, unless you, like, you know, date a little person, a little person. But, I mean, sometimes they get,
Starting point is 00:38:15 as a matter of fact, Brad Williams, you know, he married a not a little person she's taller in the heels but for the most part if you're a small guy you're gonna probably end up with a yeah I think I think I think smaller dudes they and they kind of like that they do yeah yeah yeah they do they think like even when it comes to like you know having a offspring and everything they think about that they think about damn I'm sure but if I give me a tall woman about five nine five 10 and I ain't but hell, five, six.
Starting point is 00:38:49 I might be a right. Yeah, you know, if they're in between, yeah, I get somebody five, five, I'm five, boy, we look, hey, we might have a little person. Mm-hmm. And nothing wrong with a little person. I'm just saying, because you look at Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. Kanye, what, Kanye 55, but Kim, five, too.
Starting point is 00:39:11 Damn. That's what I'm saying, but to see these people in person and to see how small they actually are, it's like, damn, you tiny. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, you're right. When you see celebs, you see them on television, and you're like, damn.
Starting point is 00:39:28 And then when you actually see them in person, I'm talking about, you see them with your own. You're like, damn, you tiny. That's the thing because my sister asked me all the time. Well, how's that's like, she's not as tall as you fancy. She's probably about five. Five, four, that's my height. Right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:48 That was. She's your height there. But, no, Joe, I'm with you, Joe. I ain't getting on my tiptoe. Imagine I got on some, I got on some hard bottom shoes and I'm on my tiptoe. My heels off the ground. Come on, Joe.
Starting point is 00:40:02 I like it. Hey, or she, they said, Ocho, they said Ocho kissed this girl taller him and had one leg off the ground with his foot back. Man, get off. Man, come on, all. That would. That what they say, Joe.
Starting point is 00:40:16 Hey. Hey, that, hey, that's a nice visual, man. You know, something like that. You know, I'm just living. I'm just living. Man, this Joker here. Hey. I don't know what to say about you, Ocho, man.
Starting point is 00:40:31 Hey, I should have done a background check on you, man. Listen, you don't got to do a background check. I live every, I live my life publicly. Man, it is what it is, man, you know. Yeah, y'all right. Y'all said, uh, Nicole and Eddie Murphy, she was tall than he was. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Ready for a different take on Formula One?

What do you think UCLA is going to do? Break down that for me, my friend. Obviously, Yukon is the overwhelming favorite in this tournament.
Starting point is 00:42:05 But I'll be honest, I think people are kind of sleeping on Texas.

Deonté Wilder defeated Derek Chazora via split decision and a scrappy but entertaining heavyweight battle to put himself back in the conversation for a bigger fight. Wilder scored two knockdowns but was deducted for a point in the fifth
Starting point is 00:46:07 and Chazora's fifth and final pro fight. The two judges scored at 115, 111, 111, and 115, 113 for Wilder, but one had it 115, 112, 112 for Chazora. Sore went through the ropes twice As both men spent much of the fight Leaning on each other Yeah
Starting point is 00:46:25 The bread appeared to tie in the later round Then Wilder landed more As the fight went on To Zor scored a knock down in the 11th round But it was a little too late Too late as Wilder controlled the last round To secure the victory Yeah
Starting point is 00:46:37 Ocho you watched this fight Yeah What did you think? I mean I enjoyed it It wasn't a boxing It wasn't a boxing match Uncle Joe Slug fans That was a fight
Starting point is 00:46:47 That was war It was a very entertaining fight I mean, it's what you expected from two heavy weights. I don't really think that wilder slip in the 11th, I think maybe 11th or the 10th. I think he slipped on the canvas, on. Yeah, I thought, well, damn. Yeah, I think he slipped.
Starting point is 00:47:03 Might have been some water, maybe the West part or something like that. Man, them dudes out there wrestling everything, man. Hey, Joe, you know them boys tired. That wasn't the sweet side. Oh, Joe, you talked about you like the sweet size. That was not the sweet size. That was not the sweet size. That was a lot of wild punches and all that.
Starting point is 00:47:20 Hey, Ocho, it didn't look like, you know, like those guys really had much, you know, savvy when they come to them. Skill, when they come to their punches. Because I'm looking, I'm like, man, like these dudes in the backyard somewhere when they're fighting. Yeah. But if you notice about Deontay Wilder, and that's the thing. It's like when he gets somebody in trouble, he really starts swinging wild. Oh, yeah. Hey, that's him.
Starting point is 00:47:45 He's trying to connect. And if he connects, boys lights out. And the thing you're You tire yourself out He was tired Because if he wasn't tired He'd put Chazora
Starting point is 00:47:55 He had Chazora in trouble Yeah he did I thought he almost got him out of there too Unk Outed him to eight Yep When he caught him When he caught him
Starting point is 00:48:03 He went between them ropes Yeah I thought we were getting him up out of There They went over the ropes Then Chizora pulled him down I was like Well damn
Starting point is 00:48:12 Yeah Hey A Joe When it comes to the sweet science And like Like a pure box that's a heavyweight. If you ever see Usik fight, that'd be, that'd be one.
Starting point is 00:48:24 He's a heavyweight, but he fight like he's small. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, he got some hands. He got some hands, footwork. Yeah, he's nice. Yeah, that's what I like to say. I like to see guys with great footwork can really box. No, he could fight for heavyweight. Yeah, he can fight like a little man.
Starting point is 00:48:40 Yeah, he does. He does. He does. He does. He does. He does. But look, there was some punches thrown It wasn't a whole lot of day.
Starting point is 00:48:50 Look, was it artistic? No. No. No. It was a war. It was not artistic. I mean, hey, they was taking each other, rabbit punching each other. They was in the clutch of poop.
Starting point is 00:49:04 And you hit me in the back of my head. I'm going to hit you in the back of your head. Hey, I wonder who Wilder going to fight next, huh? Because this is good for him. This is great momentum. He needed a win, you know, after some tough defeats. So I listen, I'm happy for Wilder. I'm curious who who's next to fight on Joe you think you can fight Joshua I mean
Starting point is 00:49:23 Joshua was right there you know sitting ringside that's the possibility I'm not not sure got glass jeans uh neither one of me neither one of me to need neither one need to see uh who fury or what you call or you seek you're sick no no no no no hey no no no no no but if Joshua and uh wilder to fight who who would y'all get the edge to oh that's a good one me too man Joshua's a good one he more of a boxer Yeah, he's more of a pure boxer too much. Just because of the skill, yes, just the skill set. And one one thing, no.
Starting point is 00:49:53 Even though he's a better boxer, Wilder has a punch his chance. For sure. He has a punch his chance. Because we know after Joshua Chin, ping-a-linga-ling is glass, window pain. It is.
Starting point is 00:50:09 Yeah. I mean, once you get knocked out, you're more susceptible to get knocked out after that after the first time. Damn. Yeah. So you would take, you would take a wider, Ocho? Nah, I mean, my common sense, I would go with Joshua.
Starting point is 00:50:27 Yeah. Yeah, I would go with Joshua. And, yeah, I'm a wilder fan. But I would watch it. I pay to watch it. Oh, yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. They got about $45 for this.
Starting point is 00:50:39 Man. Hey, listen, that was worth $45. Yeah, it was. It was entertaining. It was entertaining. It's not, you know, not the artistry. It's not the sweet science, but it was a war. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:54 They four. Probably, I think we agree. I think we all agree. I think it's probably two guys that's a little bit past their prime. Yeah. But it was entertaining. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:04 It was entertaining. Yokic outdo Wimby in the OT thriller. Yokic had a game high 40 points, 13 assists, eight rebounds, three blocks, no turnovers. Denver snapped San Antonio's 11-game winning streak, and extended this run to eight straight. Yokic strung together a third outing with at least 40 points and 10 assists in three blocks. Only D. Wade has recorded more such games,
Starting point is 00:51:28 five since blocks first became an official stat in 1973, 74. It was also Yolkich, seventh career aim, with at least 30 points, 10 assists, and zero turnovers. Hey. That was, you know what? They're not even in this position if it's not for Aaron Gordon. Yeah. job that he did, a man his size, sliding his feet,
Starting point is 00:51:52 staying in front of De Aaron Fox. Man, De Aaron Fox, man, that joke, hey. He quick as a cat on the hot-tier roof. Yeah. And everywhere he went, Gordon beat him to the point. No, you're not going there. You ain't going there. Nope, you're not going there.
Starting point is 00:52:07 Made him airballing, and then he came down and found himself, got loose, and he dunked him all home. Aaron Gordon is an intricate piece. Yep. Boy, the Denver Nuggets. Like, if they got him Uncle Ocho, they probably could beat anybody in a playoff period. In the playoffs, man. Man, listen, this is a hell of a game, man.
Starting point is 00:52:25 And these teams messing around and running to each other in the playoffs, it's going to go seven. Yeah. Oh, it's going to go seven. Man, I'm talking about Wimby, 34, 18, seven. Five blocks. Five blocks. Jokic out here just 40, 8, 13, like. And you saw that step back, that's that.
Starting point is 00:52:46 that back shot. Over Wimby. Yeah. Over Wimby. That one-legged shot, he don't hit that thing so many time. We don't see him hit that shot so many times against the Lakers in the postseason. Yeah. And they tell about it ain't no luck. That's his shot. No, no. Hey, he's a bad boy, man. Bad boy. He crazy. It's ridiculous. I love watching him play. And I just feel like he played, Uncle Ocho. I feel like he played. I'm talking about Yokchage. I feel like Yolch. I feel like Yolch plays the right way. He never forces the action. You know, if he needs to turn it up, he always knows that and obviously playing against these spurs, he knew that he
Starting point is 00:53:19 was going to have to come out and play big tonight. And every time, bro, he answers the bell. Like, that's why I say the west of Gottlieb, bro. Like, you come out to West, you're going to be so beat up. You're going to be so beat up. You're going to probably, to come out of the West, you're going to probably have to beat the Nuggets,
Starting point is 00:53:36 OKC, or San Antonio. You'll have to probably beat two or three. Yeah, you're going to have to beat two of them. At least two, yeah. Oh, we. Two of them. And I love the back man. Look here, San Antonio cutting to play.
Starting point is 00:53:52 Yeah, they got too much. San Antonio got a lot of guys who can play. Denver got a lot of guys who can play that know they roll. Like, this is an even matchup. Like, 134 to 136. Yeah, they couldn't stop each other. No. Because basically everybody was shooting pretty good.
Starting point is 00:54:09 I mean, and I like that Wimbao was putting pressure on them because he got to the free throw line 17 times. So I like the fact that he's putting pressure. Same thing with Yokic. Yogi's getting to the free throw line 15 times. That tells me he's putting pressure on the defense. Yes. They're not settling.
Starting point is 00:54:24 Nah, man. But this was a game. I was like, damn. Yeah, these two heavyweights, bro. I'm talking about going at it. That's going to be fun of them. It's going to be very, look, I can't wait to see who we, the, because if we're going to talk about this, Luca,
Starting point is 00:54:42 Luca, if he doesn't play anymore, he's going to be over the 65 games. Now that brings somebody else into what? Hold on, hold on. If he missed the rest of this season, meaning like regular season game, he can't, it's over with. He's done, he's done for the regular season.
Starting point is 00:54:59 It's over with. Yep. They're talking about to try to file a petition because he missed two games for the both of his daughter. But you know you're going out of slippery slope if you do that. But no, but this game right here, this game was so entertaining.
Starting point is 00:55:12 I mean, the Nuggets, I mean, you thought the Spurs, like, had it under control, and here come the Nuggets. Here they come. Yeah, they're going to always find a way to stay in the game, stay close. And because they got closers, they got guys who play the right way, play hard, compete, championship pedigree. It's going to be hard to beat them doing the seven-game series, man. Oh, for sure.
Starting point is 00:55:33 And, you know, and Watson didn't play today. But the thing is that they got a bench. because you look at Watson and Hardaway Jr. Yeah. Valencianus. Ballantunis. Yeah. Tyos Jones, Bruce Brown.
Starting point is 00:55:50 They got some guys, man. Yeah, they got a nice bitch. But they need Gordon to stay healthy, boy. Yes. Yes. They need him to stay healthy. I'm surprised he and Jamar Murray didn't shoot a free throw. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:08 But Jamar Murray did have 15 points in 10 assists. Yeah. Obviously, the joker, with that Herkulean effort that he had. This was a game. It was, really.
