PACKERS ROMEO DOBS was suspended one game for conduct detrimental to the team. The Packers made the announcement shortly before they departed for Sunday's game at the Ram. The suspension came after Dobbs missed two days of practice and meeting. The team initially explained the absence as for personal reasons, but Sports Illustrated reported that Dobbs was upset about his opportunities in the passing game. Package J and Brian Gunikens. Unfortunately,
Starting point is 00:04:58 we had to make a difficult decision to suspend Romeo for this week's game. His decisions and actions during the week negatively impacted the team and required us to take this action. While we are certainly disappointed, we are confident that we'll be able to move forward in a positive manner. Romeo is a valuable member of our team and we look forward to welcoming him back next week. Dobbs ranks second on the team with 20 catches, 169 yards but has yet to score touchdowns in four games. In love's return Packers threw Dobbs 54, oh look, threw the ball 54 times. Eight of those were targeted to Dobbs who
Starting point is 00:05:35 caught four for 39 yards. Only one wide receiver, Dantavion Wicks with 13 targets, was thrown the ball more than dogs. Oh Joe. Yes, sir. You better tell me guys really like really miss practice. Guys get upset that I ain't got no, I ain't getting no targets. I ain't get no ball. They're going to touch that guy really miss practice. Not be late. I don't know. Missed the entire practice. Yeah. Yeah. I, you know what? It is hard to actually know what exactly happened in a report coming out saying it.
Starting point is 00:06:08 I mean, how truthful do you think? Why would they be? Why would they suspend him? Because we don't know what he got suspended for. We don't. They say, hold on. They said it was for personal reasons. When did somebody ever got suspended for personal reason? It was somebody told them you?
Starting point is 00:06:25 Forced illustrated broke the story that said he missed gift practice. He skipped meeting because he was upset This is what the GM said Unfortunately, we had to make a difficult decision to suspend Romeo for this week's game for his decisions and actions during the week that negatively impacted the team and required us to take this action. Oh, Joe, nothing else needs to be said. Oh, so you just you're using sports industry and I'm using Brian Gunnick is the general manager. Based on what he said. What if he was in practice and he acted a fool in practice? Oh, Joe, about no, Joe, come on, Joe.
Starting point is 00:07:11 At some point in time, oh, Joe, you got to stop this. I get it. I get it. You don't want to answer the question. OK, I'm not relying on fucking sports. I rely on Brian Gunikis, the general manager. I said, maybe he acted a fool in practice, and they had to suspend him for his conduct because he's not getting the ball.
Starting point is 00:07:29 Okay. Acting a fool in practice. I ain't getting the ball. You know how you act a fool, you know what? You can't be doing that while you're here. You got to go. Hold on, now you just told me last week when these reporters get stuff about Devontae,
Starting point is 00:07:43 it's coming from somewhere. Now all of a sudden, it's not coming from anywhere. They made it up. That's not what you said. No, hold on. Hold on. Hold on. I'm illustrated.
Starting point is 00:07:53 I use it. I'm not paying you. You said when reporters say things, they're getting it from somewhere. Now they report this. It came out of thin air. And now Brian Gunikins the general manager said we had to make a difficult decision to suspend Romeo for this week's game his decisions and his actions we this week negatively impacted the team
Starting point is 00:08:18 and required us to take this action and I guarantee the action you talk about it happened at practice I guarantee you didn't. How much you want to bet? I'll tell you what I do. I'll tell you what I do. If it if he didn't miss practice, you give me your salary. If he didn't miss practice, bet your salary. Which salary?
Starting point is 00:08:40 Bet your salary. Whichever one you want to pick pick whatever show that you appear on Ben Okay, bit no no no ain't no bullshit now, I'm real I'm talking real bet it Not better thousand. No, I don't want no father Dollar whatever do it a thousand dollars. I bet five. I'll bet five hundred thousand Who I'll bet you 500,000 dollars. Why we came bet a thousand? I don't want no thousand.
Starting point is 00:09:10 What the hell I'm going to do with a thousand dollars? What you going to do with 500,000? Hell, I can go upstairs right now and pull that out. What the hell I'm going to do with that? Well, see, I can pull it out too. What you saying? Bet 500. I don't even gamble.
Starting point is 00:09:18 You ain't got to gamble because you said it didn't happen like that so that's not a gamble. I said what if it didn't I said I wouldn't rely on Sports Illustrated for nothing. Just think about it you can be 500k quick just like that in the blink of an eye. No no no no no no I don't care about no money I'm trying to figure out why you so happy about what Sports Illustrated said. I'm talking about what Brian Gunnikens did. Okay and I say it's probably because of what he did at practice. Bet 500k then.
Starting point is 00:09:50 I'll tell you what I do. I'll tell you what I do. I'll put up a million to your 500,000. No. No. Check. Y'all see that? Now here's your...
Starting point is 00:10:01 Oh Joe, I'm gonna cover you. I'm gonna put up a million to your 500k. Listen to I'm going to cover you. I will put up a 500K. Hey, listen, listen, listen to me. Listen to me. Hey, Romeo Dobbs in the second year, right? I don't know what year he is in the second year. I mean, he's in second year. OK, right. As as in the second year. What are you the second or third?
Starting point is 00:10:21 I could have swiped it. Now, he might be in his third third. He might be in the second. He in his third? Yeah. Third year pulling some shit like that? That's a vet move, man. That's a vet move. I can honestly say, I played 14 years. I ain't never had a teammate. And guys have been upset about playing time, about insanity. But I ain't never, have I I see have guys been late for meetings. Yes. Right. Has a guy been late for practice?
Starting point is 00:10:47 Yes. But I'm talking about just give that ish all the altogether. Yeah. I don't know. Now you in order to pull something like that off, you got to be you got to be that boy too. Yeah. Be that boy like Aaron Rodgers like that. Yeah. Yeah. See, you got to be that boy to be able Rodgers, like that, that, that. Oh yeah, he's giving the mini camp.
Starting point is 00:11:05 Yeah, see, you gotta be that boy to be able to pull some stuff like that off and nothing happened. Yeah. And there's no disciplinary actions. Now I'm a third year receiver, just not showing up for two days in a row. No, I mean, and then they go,
Starting point is 00:11:19 even if you're a first year, you a guy like that, they probably, they probably won't suspend you, but they're gonna take that game check. You can play, but I would take that money. Right, right, right. Oh, they don't get so much. Oh yeah, for sure. Oh, they're going to get some matching.
Starting point is 00:11:33 Oh yeah. And because the thing is you're going to want to play. I mean, you don't want people to know to give that negative light that you miss, you miss practice, you was out and you were moping. So you don't want to give, you don't want to give that little go to. OK, you don't want that out there. Now, that's the thing with these young guys, bro. You don't want that out there.
Starting point is 00:11:51 You don't want the malcontent because it's hard to shake that. Once you get that label on Joe, you think it's hard to shake it. I mean, you got to be on your best behavior for years and years because you have another slip up. They go say, see, you remember? Yeah. I was like, bro, I still can't believe it.
Starting point is 00:12:12 Hey, one thing about him now, when they put that ball in his hands, oh boy, he go to work. Oh Joe, bro, you your third year. Yeah. You, you do it like you Jerry, like you Randy. Come on, bro. Damn. Okay. You know what's bad? Huh?
Starting point is 00:12:30 You know what's bad though? What is it? They got four gangsters over there. Dobbs, Wicks, Watson and and Reed. All of them. All of them boys like that. Yes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:12:40 All of them like that. But that's the Ocho. If he, let's just say he Jefferson or he Tyreek, he CD, he Chase. He's one of the top five, top seven receivers. Right. They wouldn't do that. But I can see like, hey, man, y'all messing with my money. I'm in a contract year. Y'all bulljiving. OK, I'm going to be late.
Starting point is 00:12:58 You know what? I'm a hold in. I ain't going to come to practice, but I ain't going to practice. OK, I'm going to be late for me and I'm going to be asleep. I ain't going to be paying no attention. Yada, yada, yada. But, bro, but I ain't gonna practice. OK, I'm gonna be late for me and I'm gonna be sleep. I ain't gonna be paying no attention. Yada yada yada. But bro, in your third year with no first team, all pro with no provost, oh hell nah, you can't do that, bro. You see what you just said? You see what you just said?
Starting point is 00:13:18 With no all pros, with no provost, you know how you get them? With the goddamn ball in your hands. Oh Joe, but when you got five dollars over there, hey, they threw him the second most targets in the game. Yeah. He gonna be all right, though. Hey, ain't no way. Yeah, right.
Starting point is 00:13:37 But see, that's the thing, though. See, young guys do stuff like that. Even Randy, when Miranda got ticked off or T.O. or guys, they miss it. No practice, Ocho. Do you understand the Kahuna's that you got to have the guts? Pull that shit off. What?
Starting point is 00:13:55 That even. And that's why it's hard. That's why it's hard for you to believe because you got to have balls to be able to do that. To think about this, miss a practice, miss a Wednesday and Thursday. Like that, I'm I'm I can't. Maybe maybe because I'm trying to put myself in this. Exactly. I'm not missing no practice.
Starting point is 00:14:16 Oh, Joe. But remember, we had the conversation. What these guys will do compared to what we did when we played. You see the difference now you you're like, hold on. Cause first of all, your best players, do you understand the grace that a team will give you? Because you wanted their best and he's one of their better players. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:36 Cause they asked Mike, hey, you let, hey guys, hey, we gonna leave you. Well, what happened if John Elwell, Shannon Lake? Well, hey, we get to leave when we want to. They gonna wait, you know what I'm saying? It's a charred and flying. Well, what happened if John Elwell, Shannon late? Well, hey, we get Lee when we want to they go away You know what I'm saying? It's a charter flying So for them to suspend him Oh Joe, you know, sometimes they suspend. Okay, you're not gonna start the game
Starting point is 00:14:57 Or you're gonna miss a quarter But they suspend this man the whole game. You're not traveling. That is a game check Do you understand in order for them to take a game check? What you had to have done? Done, yeah. Man, please, this dude, this dude crazy. I ain't giving no money. Oh, Joe, now they're going to be a time that, you know, man, I wish I could have had that little 50, 60,000.
Starting point is 00:15:19 I don't know what he's making. I'm just saying, chat. Yeah. I ain't giving no money. I ain't getting no, no, no, you're not gonna get no game check and somebody do a game You somebody do making two million dollars three million dollars a game Yeah, he probably making he probably what he was a high-round draft. He wasn't a third or fourth round pick Yeah, he's 55,000 that's a lot of money when you only making 55,000 again Yeah, he's 55,000. That's a lot of money when you only making 55,000 a game. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:48 Man, please. Oh no. Hey, you gotta talk. Hey, he must be thought he was Allen Iverson. Practice? Not a game, practice. Oh no. Hey.
Starting point is 00:16:02 Super superstars, but superstars would never do that. Not in football. Not in football because your money ain't guaranteed. No. Can you a- Basketball? Yeah. Oh, y'all wanna play? Okay, bet.
Starting point is 00:16:14 Or, well, baseball players, they have spring training. They ain't really got no practice, cause they damn near playing every other day, Ocho. They flyin' for one city, they got a four game stretch in one city, then they going to another city. They got a, they got a, a, a, a, a four game, a four game stretch in one city. Then they go into another city. So they really got no, they taking batting practice and, you know, it's shagging balls and stuff like that, but they don't have practice like football players or like basketball players.
Starting point is 00:16:36 But this dude out his mind, I don't know what the hell he talking about. Oh hell nah. Oh Joe, I, I'm talking, I've only been late for one meeting in 14 years. No, I've been late for two, but one of what my fault. Ryan was also a have a whoa whoa whoa whoa. So you got on me about being late and here you go. You had instances when you was late and it wasn't your fault and I was late
Starting point is 00:17:09 and it wasn't my fault either but I was on my phone. No, Ocho, Ocho, let me tell you what happened. You know, I ain't have no vehicle. The guy that I was riding with had a vehicle. I'm waiting on him, cause you know, we gotta be there at four o'clock. Yeah. So I call him, I hear dog on my way,
Starting point is 00:17:28 I'm about to go do something. Okay, cool, no problem. Greely, I will wait. One o'clock, because I don't like to be, let my grandma say, I don't like to be the cocktail. I don't like to be the last one there. Two o'clock, damn. Man, don't laugh, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:17:50 2.30. So now I'm pacing. I know you calling by now. Ocho, I'm a seventh round draft pick. Ooh. Lord have mercy. 2.45. Ooh. Lord have mercy. 2 45. Three o'clock.
Starting point is 00:18:10 I said, Lord, we ain't gon' make it. Lord, we ain't gon' make it, Lord. This ninja. Oh Joe. What time you booked up? 3 15. We ain't gon' make it, oh Joe. Oh, oh Joe, I'm you booked up 315. We don't make it, Ocho. Oh, Ocho, you don't know. Oh, you don't know how close I came to fall that do.
Starting point is 00:18:32 I started fighting and just tell code we got into a fight. Oh, oh, Joe. So I called my brother. It was like it was like one of the last practices we had cause we was gonna break camp later that week. I called my brother, said, man, what's wrong? You sound down. I said, man, Spank, I was late.
Starting point is 00:18:58 He said, why were you late? I said, I was riding with somebody. He said, when you get back, when y'all break camp, I say, I think Thursday. He say, when y'all break camp after practice on Friday, you go get a big and call me. So I went up there, tried to get a vehicle. They ran my credit. Oh Then you go When he came when he came by the back with a piece of paper Like a mr. Sharper, do you know if you have anybody that would be willing to cosign? I say, uh, hey, but that's so real. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:20:05 Oh Joe. Hey, that's so real, man. I can't. Hey, I say, uh, I called him. I say, spank man. It said, I can't get it. I said, why, why you can't get it? I said, man, save my credit.
Starting point is 00:20:18 Oh, Joe. I ain't gonna tell you a lie. Oh, Joe. I think my credit might have been 500. I'll be a nice. I think it was 500. It about to be a full song. It was bad.
Starting point is 00:20:37 It was bad. It was bad. It was bad. It was bad, bad. It was bad. I think I had four hundred. I think I had my four, five, four something, but, uh, my brother signed the co-sign for me. It was, it was between four and five it wasn't above five I don't think it was below four so let's just go between four and five My brother. That they were so loaded into the crane to pull it up. Oh, Joe.
Starting point is 00:21:40 No, no, no, no. You can't get shit with that. No, I'm saying it between four and five. Oh, no. Hold on. Hey, a 500 though? Why you can't get shit with that? No, Ocho, I'm saying it's between 4 and 5. I mean, I do Ocho, I said, well, man, I told him the car that I want
Starting point is 00:21:56 Ocho, they done pulled it around, I walkin' in the lot, Ocho, you know I'm walkin', I got my hands in my pocket, you know, Ocho, I'm about to give you a new car. Hold on. A or five in between four and five. Oh Joe you know. Oh, you know, I like that one. Yeah, yeah. This one got, it's got a power windows.
Starting point is 00:22:27 Yeah, yeah, yeah, it sure does. Oh, I like this black. Oh, hell no. I said, sir, I like this one right here. Let's go get the paperwork done on that one. Oh, Joe. So, you know, I knew something. Oh, Joe, that joke took a long time.
Starting point is 00:22:44 I said, I knew something. Oh Joe, that Joe took a lot. I said, well, damn. Oh Joe, he back there by 20, 30 minutes. I guess he trying to massage the numbers so he could give me the car. Right. He's up there back there. He said, ain't no way I can get that. He can get this one.
Starting point is 00:23:00 Man, that Joe came back there with that piece of paper. He said, Mr. Sharper, is there anybody that you know that would be willing to cosign? Oh, I really, I didn't really know what code, I didn't know what code, I didn't know nobody. I like what that means, I say, sir, excuse me. Oh, hell no.
Starting point is 00:23:20 You know that if you were to default, they would be responsible for it. Man, I called my brother, I said, bro. He like, what happened? I said, man. So, and from that point on, Ocho, I paid, I paid, paid it, paid it off, got my credit. Now all three of all three of them now they over eight.
Starting point is 00:23:53 I feel good about myself, but it was, it was a process. And so that's why, hey, no, don't worry about it. I got it. You are not going to mess up my credit. So kick that. Don't worry about it. I got it. Cause I already mess up my credit. So kick that, don't worry about it, I got it. Cause I already know y'all gonna pull some funny stuff and then y'all gonna cause us to fall out. We gonna fall out. So I just go ahead and put it on, hey, I got it.
Starting point is 00:24:15 Hey, take it out of my account, boom, boom, boom. We ain't gotta worry about it cause I ain't gonna have my kids mess up my credit now. I don't work too hard to get it. Man, Ocho, you laughing at your boy, man. Listen, I'm laughing because I resonate with you. I'm laughing at my credit was bad too. My, my this at one point, my credit was bad.
Starting point is 00:24:34 Hell, man. Sister, Sister Soulja over here had to help me get mine back up, back up, close to, I ain't at no eight yet. But she had to come in and swoop in and say it today, boy. I had no structure and discipline. I have structure and discipline when it comes to doing certain things. Save money, not spending money.
Starting point is 00:24:58 When it comes to credit and playing that game. But credit games all about discipline. You gotta pay all time and it's all about discipline. Like you got to pay. You got to pay all the time. You know, you got to pay all the time. And it's all about discipline. Yeah. Yeah. Like you got you got to be I'm talking about you got to be on it. Own it consistently.
Starting point is 00:25:11 Own it. Yeah. Because people don't realize the thing is everybody you paying cash doesn't help your credit. They need to see you pay on something for an extended period of time. In time. Man, well, you got my goddamn jargon. Bad, look here, bad.
Starting point is 00:25:29 Or, you know, you'd have had to put so much money down. You know, hey, if you don't get no cost on it, you gonna have to put so much money down on it. A lot. Yes! A lot. Oh, man, that was good. That was good. And I say, man, please.
Starting point is 00:25:47 I say, bro, I ain't got it like that, bro. But I, you know, I worked on it and got it now. Great. I think it's a tedious process to even get get in the good graciousness of having the credit. But that takes time. It does. It does Absolutely. And I oh Joe I'm trying to figure out how people oh like 10 15,000 a credit card and send $50
Starting point is 00:26:19 Bad your kids gonna be paying off that debt $50 Man look here I know when you got bad I remember my grandfather got my grandmother to sign my grandfather was a farmer and I never forget My grandmother co-signed On to get some fertilizer some feed. It wasn't for a lot. It was feed for the animal. Yeah, man. My grandfather died the bill was like I Think hey, I think he owed Ocho like
Starting point is 00:26:51 2,000 2500 Do you know my grandpa my grandfather died in 77? Do you know it took my grandma almost 15 years? Because on $2,000 she paid $50 a month. And it's interest. Sometimes she could only play 25. Right. You'd never catch up.
Starting point is 00:27:16 Man. You'd never catch up. Cause you gotta realize my grandmother was only making $197 every two weeks. Right. So you got to realize my grandmother was only making $197 every two weeks. So you got phone bill, you got light bill, you got gas bill. Cause back then, I don't know if anybody from the South, I don't know if they had it in the North. They used to have those big propane tanks sitting on top.
Starting point is 00:27:40 So the gas company would come fill it up with propane and they ran the line through the house and that's how you cook So I don't know I mean in the south I know I don't know if they don't have it anymore But they had we had we had like a 200 gallon 200 gallon big propane tank so that bill coming once a month But phone bill coming once a month remember I told you my grandmother wouldn't accept a collect call from me because she told the operator I said click call from Shannon to bear Porter. Will you accept the call?
Starting point is 00:28:07 My grandma said no, because I can't pay the $50 phone bill I got now. And hung the phone up. So money was tight. We're turning up the heat on the newest episode of all the smoke vice president and democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris pulls up to the show to discuss her historic presidential run. Hey there, it's Michael Lewis, author of Going Infinite, Moneyball, The Blind Side, and Liar's Poker. On every season of my podcast Against the Rules, I take a broad look at various characters in American life. The referee, the coach, the expert. My next season is all about fans and what the rise of sports betting is doing to them, to the teams, and even to my family. I'm heading to Las Vegas and New Jersey and beyond to understand America's newest form of legalized gambling.
Starting point is 00:29:27 Listen to Against the Rules on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. I'm Maria Konikova. And I'm Nate Silver. And our podcast, Risky Business, is a show about making better decisions. Both Nate and I are journalists who moonlight as poker players.
Starting point is 00:29:46 We've both won, and I have to say lost, hundreds of thousands of dollars playing poker. And poker is a lens that we're going to use to approach this entire show, because poker isn't just about playing cards. It's actually about how to make good decisions. It's an entire framework for thinking about the world. In addition to poker, we'll be talking about the wide world of gambling, so sports betting, for example, plus the news, politics. It is an election year and personal decisions to like whether I should call a plumber

It was December 2019 when the story blew up. In Green Bay, Wisconsin, former Packer star Kabir Bajabiamila caught up in a bizarre situation. A family man, former NFL player, devout Christian, now cut off from his family and connected to a strange arrest. I got swept up in Kabir's journey, but this was only the beginning.
Starting point is 00:31:04 In a story about faith and football, the search for meaning away from the gridiron and the consequences for everyone involved. And I never forget, I'll never ever forget when she say say Libby, this the last one, ain't it? Libby say, yeah, yeah, Granny, just the last one. Man, that seemed like you my grandmother,
Starting point is 00:32:55 like she had won the lottery because now that twenty five to fifty dollars that she was trying to pay every month, you can say, say what? What the hell you say with 197 every two weeks? And you got me, Spanky, Libby, my aunt and my grandma, because everybody else had to have left there. Meredith had left, Gladys had got married, Chalmardine had left, got married.
Starting point is 00:33:19 So basically me, Spanky, Libby, Granny, Jane, five. Man, please. And they. And people talk, what? They see this, oh, Joe, it wasn't always like this, bro. Oh, yeah, it wasn't always like this. That's what I would eat. No possum. I wouldn't be no. OK, my grandma said, OK, do it out. My grandma never ate. It was never what what y'all want? What y'all you ate?
Starting point is 00:33:49 What was on the plate? You ain't have to eat it. My grandma ain't never make a boy. If y'all eat that. My grandma never said y'all need to eat that food. She'll say nothing. All my grandma did was put that plate on the table. You ain't have to eat. You ain't have to eat no tomatoes and rice. You have to eat squash and rice. You ain't have to eat. You ain't have to eat no tomatoes and rice. You have to eat squash and rice. You ain't have to eat none of that. There was a many a night my brother and I ate corn flakes because I don't like no squash.
Starting point is 00:34:12 I eat no okra. I ain't eat none of that. And tomatoes. Brandy, what we got today? Maters and rice. Oh, dang. Oh, maters and rice. Now we gonna have, you gonna have rice with every meal,
Starting point is 00:34:23 Ocho. And you will get bread. You get two, cause back then bread was three loaves, four dollars. And my grandma say, hey boy, hey, you better get something to stick to your ribs. So you know I'm, man, hey, I'll make me a rice sandwich. Cause you know, I get me about four slices of bread.
Starting point is 00:34:40 Yeah. Man, man, please. I don't miss those days. That's why I work so hard because I know what it was like. See, there's a difference between being hungry and there's nothing to eat and being hungry when you got a pantry full of food. Now, I would go when I played Ocho, I would go two days, three days without eating. My brother would call and say, man, what'd you do today?
Starting point is 00:35:05 I said, man, I worked out, man, I'm tired. He said, what's going on? I said, man, I ain't eating. He said, why you ain't eating? I say, I wanna deny myself. I wanna be uncomfortable. I say, I wanna know what it's like to be a not hurt locker. I say, I need to question myself when I'm doing stuff.
Starting point is 00:35:23 Why am I doing this? When is it over? How long for what? When does it end? So to be in to see all the food that I can eat anytime I want to to say nah, yeah, I need none of it Versus it ain't nothing to eat Right, right. It's like a boy. We ain't got nothing to eat Y'all need to take them rifles out there and go kill some squirrels or go kill a coon or something. Okay.
Starting point is 00:35:49 Okay. Well, that was the first, listen, you, that was the first episode of survival back then. It was, it was. I mean, and to their credit, there were lot back then Ocho they still do it They were trapped raccoons the guys the men the white man that would come they all they wanted was to hide So they don't marry we got a couple of coons. You want them? Yeah boy go get them Yeah, cuz that's all they wanted. They just wanted to they just wanted to pill so they already have them They already have them. I have already cased out
Starting point is 00:36:24 Yeah, yeah, we want them. Hey Mary who got some duck you want? Yeah, hey boy. Go get the duck Mary We call the mess of fish. You want some catfish? Yeah, I Ain't never been no fish guy. Oh Joe cuz you know what that means who got to clean them I show what they clean them Mary. We got a mess of fish. Please. Let them be clean They're not clean. Yeah. Now we got to clean all the fish. Forty, fifty fish. Catfish, we got to skin.
Starting point is 00:36:50 We got to. Lord have mercy. Please tell me everybody in the world don't live like this. No, please tell me they do so. I won't feel so bad. Man, yeah. Please tell me that we're not the only one that's living like this Oh, Joe, please
Starting point is 00:37:10 Y'all know what it's like. Hey animal in the road raccoon squirrel. We try to hit it. That's a meal. Oh, Joe Mm-hmm. You gotta get a the only way you would say is that she was on the side of the road cuz we're not gonna go in the ditch to hit you but Cross the road if you want to. Got it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Texas wire receiver, Nico Collins says that they have have to beat the bills for Stefan digs. That's what he said. Oh Joe, we know it's a big game for step. We know what we got to do.
Starting point is 00:37:47 We got to go out here and win it for step. I'm happy for my dog. I'm happy that he's a part of the Texas, but know this game means a lot to him. I feel like it's only right for us to go out there, have fun, get the win for him. Oh, Joe, you have it. Did you play? Did you play the Bengals when you went to New England? No, no, no, I didn't.
Starting point is 00:38:09 I'm I'm excited. I like I like what Nico's saying. You can be the game. It's going to it's going to it's going to be a good game. But the Baltimore Ravens gave you the blueprint. The Baltimore Ravens, they can't run the ball like that, oh, Joe. I mean, I mean, Joe makes it still out. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:27 Or Joe back. He probably gonna be out. Probably Cam Makers is the guy. Yeah. And that's not CJ. CJ is not, he ain't running like Lamar. He's not Lamar. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know.
Starting point is 00:38:37 Listen, it's a different game, but I think, I think, I think, I think the bill is gonna pull it off. Oh, you're taking the bills over 10 Texans? Yeah. Wow. No, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I think the Texans gonna pull it off. Oh, okay, that's what I thought, okay.
Starting point is 00:38:51 Yeah, it's too much firepower over there. They got a lot of it. Too much firepower now. And the bill's got some nice pieces now, offensively, but I think Josh Allen has to do too much as a quarterback. He has to do too much. They rely. Yes, he has to do too much. They rely on him too much to be the savior for that offense. They need to get God damn Kion Coleman going.
Starting point is 00:39:12 Yeah, they need to get him going. They're not, they're not even trying on. Yeah. Right now, they seem like here. She cares about this game too. Right? Is he? It should cure.
Starting point is 00:39:21 I thought, I thought it was her. It should cure out this game. I could have swore out. I saw something. He might have been on the injury report, but he might be playing. But it's just, I don't know, man. They have too much on Josh's plate. He's out. And he just. He's out, Ojo.
Starting point is 00:39:37 You're right. He's out. Yeah. I knew I wasn't tripping. The Dolphins wide receiver, Odell Beckham Jr. was activated from physically unable to the pub list, physically unable to perform list. And he's expected to play Sunday against the new England Patriots.
Starting point is 00:39:51 Odell spent the first four weeks of the season on the pub list and underwent a procedure on his knee this off season. He signed with the team in May, but practice for the first time this week. He was unable to practice for the full three consecutive days. He was able to practice three consecutive days without any setback. O'Dell returns, provides much needed reinforcement for the wide receiver room. Tyreek, Jayla Waddle, each have cleared 200 yard receiver yard this season, but no other Dolphins receiver has more than 30 yards through four games. Mm. I like it.
Starting point is 00:40:26 I like the addition. I like the addition. I mean, you said you said he's not the same OBJ that he once was, which obviously probably is so, but I think he still can be efficient in this. Yes, with some of the some of the some of the some of the things that they can do schematically. Mike Daniels is a genius when it comes to what they do offensively and you know, Odell, you know, on crossers and intermediate and short routes, I think he's going
Starting point is 00:40:50 to eat. He's going to eat. I think, Ojo, it's hard. You've had two ACL surgeries, you broke a leg. You've had two ACL surgeries, you've had broken leg. You've had ankles worked on. It's hard to still be that guy. Yeah, it's hard. If there's only so many times somebody can go into body, oh, joy, you still that same person. Yeah. So when you look at it, do I think he can help?
Starting point is 00:41:21 Do I think he's better than the other third receiver that they got? Yeah, yeah. But you have to understand, Ocho, it. Do I think he can help? Do I think he's better than the other third receiver that they got? Yeah. Yeah. But you have to understand, Ocho, when you've had the success that he had his first three to four years, that's what people remember. Because what you remember when you were a great player, they compare you to your younger self. Right. So they're like, hey, man, no, he's not, he's, They're like, hey, man, no, he's not. He's he's he's not going to be the giant O'Dell. But even if he could be the Rams, O'Dell at the end, Ocho, that's plenty good. Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:53 That's plenty good because you look at him like the last three or four games of the Rams and in that playoff game, the playoffs. Yeah. Especially Tampa. Yeah. When they beat the 49ers and he was cooking, he was cooking your big boy went down. You were cooking. That he was, I ain't gonna say in life. I know one thing I said it before.
Starting point is 00:42:22 He was so electric, he was so charismatic. I even at one point, I say he might have been the first 200 million dollar receiver. What receivers make it? I mean, he probably been the first 20 first 20, you know, I'm trying to say. Yeah, because, you know, back then there were no 20 million dollars. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. And you know, for whatever reason, but he needed to stay in New York
Starting point is 00:42:48 in order for that to happen. Exactly, exactly. Because he was Madison Avenue. He had the endorsements. Like you said, he was charismatic. He was so engaging. So polarizing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:02 Kind of went to Cleveland. It didn't work out between him and Baker. They're losing, you know, ACL, you know, even as last year. What did he break his leg? He broke his leg. What do you bring his ankle? They broke his ankle. Did he break his leg last year in New York? I'm not sure. And then he had that he had about like a thousand yards that one year in Cleveland
Starting point is 00:43:22 that he tore his ACL. that he had about like a thousand yards that one year in Cleveland, then he tore his ACL. Hey, man, Miami losing 35, 10 to Cal. Wow. All in not lost to Ocho. Like I said, they taking 12 teams. Oh Joe. Now, if it was only taking four teams, it'd be a lot of team panicking right now, but they take
Starting point is 00:43:48 in 12. I mean, but come on now you have Miami ranked number eight. You losing the cow. Cow is three in one. I mean, can you imagine the hurricanes of the 80s and 90s losing the cow? No, but they don't get that level of talent. Oh Joe. They ain't got no Andre Johnson, no that level of talent. Oh, Joe. They got me. They got no Andre Johnson, no Reggie Wayne, no Santana balls. They got that bad. They do. You understand the players that they had coming through that day. Oh, yeah, I know. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 00:44:18 Danny Stubb or Boogie? Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, Jay Boogie, Jerome Brown, rest his soul. But there were a lot of Danny Stubbs. Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh real deal back then, boy. Even in the 2000s, look at where they ended 2000. That's Sean Taylor. Sean Taylor was on the bench. He was playing special teams. Yeah. That's it, an Antrel Rowe. Philip Buchanan.
Starting point is 00:44:54 Philip Buchanan. Yeah, Rump, they had all them, come on man. They were loaded. Yeah, they were loaded. That's Shaqey, they had Winslow the second. They had another tight end that went to Buffalo, I think he went in the third round. What you call them came a little later, Greg Olson.
Starting point is 00:45:10 Man, they were loaded. All those receivers that they had. You see how you keep naming off all them names? Yeah. Everybody spread all over the place. Everybody all over the place. Yes, yes. Now it's time, Ocho, for your favorite segment.
Starting point is 00:45:26 It's time for Q&A. That goddamn credit credit story. Man, don't laugh, Ocho. I came up, I came up out of the Ocho. I came up out of the Ocho. That was good. Keper Norwood Jr. said, Oh, my question is is is
Starting point is 00:45:46 Will obj make the Hall of Fame once his career is over. Do you think not? I don't think so Too much lull in between the highs I mean he had a great three that first three years old Joe. It seemed like he was a slam dunk He was a Shaquille O'Neal dump slam. Yeah, I Mean he was a slam dunk. He was a Shaquille O'Neal dunk. Slam dunk. I mean, he was a he was electric. Boy, what you see Chase, what you see Jefferson doing their first three years. That was O'Dell back then. Oh, yeah. I mean, the one hand catches the swag. He's playing in New York. He's box office.
Starting point is 00:46:22 catches the swag he's playing in New York. He's box office. He was must watch TV. People got to the game early to see him warm up, to see him make those catches. Mm hmm. And he was the real deal. Dixon, my aunt, we grew up like good times, but in the deep south, yes, yes. I mean, yes, spam I made,
Starting point is 00:46:50 Viennese sausages, baloney, ate all that. I'm talking about the two, Bocho, I ain't talking about, we didn't get no, that Oscar Maio, the slices. Nah, you had to get that big two with that big thick ass red cases. Right. Oh!
Starting point is 00:47:12 Hey, fry that thing up, and you gotta put the hole cause you know that bubble gonna come up there, Ocho. Yeah. Put that fork in there and make that bubble, pop that bubble, fry that thing, put that face of light bread. That was back then, Ocho, I would eat mayonnaise. I don't eat no mayonnaise, nah.
Starting point is 00:47:26 Yeah. You eat mayonnaise, I can tell you, man. I can tell you eat mayonnaise. Oh no, no, listen, back then, back then, syrup sandwiches. Yeah. I warmed the syrup and dip the syrup, dip the bread in the, I get Wonder Bread.
Starting point is 00:47:42 You got Wonder Bread? Baby, can't feel no damn Wonder Bread. But hi, did I just tell you the bread was three loaves for a dollar, sunbeam? Oh, okay. That Wonder Bread is real soft and buttery-like. Yeah, you know it was. But if you bought a loaf of that,
Starting point is 00:47:59 guess what you're gonna be wondering? When you gonna get some more bread? Cause that'll be it. But you couldn't buy no bread for no, that bread was like a dollar, a dollar 19 for one loaf. And man, before it was gonna happen. Didn't I just tell you bread was three loaves for a dollar and you think granny gonna let us splurge,
Starting point is 00:48:18 let us waste one loaf of bread for a dollar 19 and we can get three loaves for... Right, right, right. Man, please. Yeah, I wonder when you gonna get some more bread. Cause that's what you'd been wondering. Yeah, it was nice, the nice packaging. Captain John Dyrs, you know Captain John Dyrs
Starting point is 00:48:38 coming in that brown, that brown wrapping. You ever seen Captain John Dyrs? I know y'all know the cat, Y'all know what I'm talking about. That's wheat. That's wheat bread. Yeah, but it's not as, it's like you said, buttery. I don't like no wheat bread. You don't like wheat bread?
Starting point is 00:48:51 Oh no. I ain't know what kind of bread. We called it, we called it white bread or lightening bread. I told you the story, Ocho. I'm like, I asked later, I was in Colorado, I said, man, where's the, where's the light bread? He said, excuse me, sir? I said, light bread?
Starting point is 00:49:10 You mean white bread? No, lightening bread. She's like, sir, this is the only bread that we have. I said, well, that's what I was talking about. I don't know the hell you thought I was saying. It's light bread. I was like, oh, Joe, you know how it got bad now, because she's looking at me like,
Starting point is 00:49:23 I don't know what I'm talking about but in the south We called it we called it lightning bread. I Know why I know what he'll know why bread was light bread. I Know I don't know what y'all try to make it seem like I'm the only one they called it light bread I know y'all parents and grandparents called it light bread, too I know y'all parents and grandparents called it light bread to master attainment said, I'll never forget that I couldn't get a loan because my address was weird and I couldn't be directly linked to my bank account. Even though I have a seven, 80, uh, seven, 80 credit score, I was so mad.
Starting point is 00:49:57 Never again. That's good credit score. Man, I've tell it, boy, that credit, boy. It's serious. I don't think people understand how important credit is because anytime, listen, just the hypotheticals, they always do on Twitter. Anytime I see people say a certain amount of money
Starting point is 00:50:18 or credit, people always pick the money. Credit. They always put all that cash down to get it. And see, I don't get anything with no money down. With good credit. Yes, absolutely. Yeah, I don't think people understand that. I was like, oh no.
Starting point is 00:50:40 Maybe they just have a fascination with just having money instead, not knowing you can damn near get anything if your credit is on point. I think that's why it's so difficult. They require you to have a certain level of discipline consistently showing that you're willingly able and can pay things on time. Yeah, but you know what I hate, Ocho?
Starting point is 00:51:03 When they send you like, this is not a bill yeah it is you said it to me yeah it is a bill I'm gonna have to pay it I can pay it now or I can pay it at the end yeah but either way I gotta pay it hey yeah that's a bill hey when that a never rise and be a hit your Verizon bill will be due in two weeks. Shelly, pay that thing. You pay it right then and now. I pay it right there. Hey, thank you.
Starting point is 00:51:35 Because as soon as it show up on my thing, I hear Shelly, hey, Verizon due. Thank you for your payment. Hey, no, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey,
Starting point is 00:51:55 hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, I'm asking you wish to be here. Oh yeah, it is. It is. Ron Devos said, thank you. Thanks for the show. I look forward to you two forward to the show every night. I've been in a it hole for lack of a better word, but your word sunshine follows rain
Starting point is 00:52:18 has always stuck with me. I'm still pushing through because I can no joke. Bro, appreciate it. And that's it. You know, you're not going to always be down and people that are up, not always going to be up. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:38 You just got no matter your situation up, down, topsy turvy, you must remain remain this always even keel. Don't let your circumstances dictate your emotions and your behavior and I know sometimes that can be hard because when you're in a situation Where things are going bad is easy for you to get down and when things are going good is easy for you But you're never as good as your best. You're never as bad as your worst. You're somewhere in the middle So find that ground and ride it out, bro. But we really appreciate your support. Thank you. It's always good when people, Ocho, they call in or they come in to chat and they say, you know, listening to you and I and advice that they've heard us talk about. That means a lot to us. So we really, really appreciate that. Appreciate it.
Starting point is 00:53:24 Yeah, we want it to be entertaining. Absolutely. That's a part of it. So we really, really appreciate that. Yeah, we want to be entertaining. Absolutely, that's a part of it. But we want to be informative. We want to be educational. And we want to inspire. Give people hope, let them know that sunshine does fall a rain. And it's never as bad as you think it is.
Starting point is 00:53:42 And it's never as good as you think it is. But Ron, appreciate it. Thanks for chiming in. Thanks for reaching out to the boy Cedric Phillips saying You're upset Colorado Buffs champs. Oh, that would be nice That'd be a good one Oh, it's gonna be some more. Hey, it just happened to be that upset Saturday was this week. Oh, it's the more coming now. Oh Yeah, oh they're coming You think you think Texas got a chance of losing? Yeah, they play, Oklahoma I don't think they play Alabama. They got Georgia. I think Texas doesn't take in Georgia on Texas schedule
Starting point is 00:54:16 I mean hell shit. Hey, listen with the way Georgia playing. I don't think Georgia win that game But I think it's in Texas too, I don't think Georgia win that game. But I think it's in Texas too. I don't think Georgia played Texas. Yeah. Yeah. See, they play Oklahoma next week. Then they host Georgia. I don't think Georgia and Texas have played since 1984.
Starting point is 00:54:42 I think they played the cotton ball. If I'm gonna dream. They're playing 2019? Oh, Texas beat them. Texas beat them. Oh, cause I remember Clarence Hill. Clarence Hill was gloating. Talk about the mighty SEC. You're right. Before that there was 84. Didn't they play them in the What? Yeah, okay. Aaron Orr says, what's up Uncle Nocho? Would you guys wear a guardian cap if it was legal to do during your career?
Starting point is 00:55:39 Hell nah. Probably not. Absolutely not. Man, that thing have you had't look like Marvin to Marsha. You man. I ain't even wear no damn mouthpiece. But it like this here. If I had a situation similar to two, I would.

Starting point is 00:56:07 Oh, what was the dude Kelso? He used to have a big helmet in Buffalo. He had like a- And Don BB too. That was Kelso. He had the little cap on the top of it. It wasn't called a guardian cap because he had concussions.
Starting point is 00:56:22 I think it was Kelso. I can't remember his first name though. He was number 38. But sometimes you get hit and it would come off, but it was like huge Ocho. I mean he had like Marvin to Mars and for real. Yeah, I know what you're talking about. Yeah. I could have swore Don BB had that too. I could have swore Don BB had that too. Kevin Book in all seriousness, can we get a petition to Sterling Sharp and Chad Twinkle chose Johnson to be placed on the Hall of Fame. If you polled NFL
Starting point is 00:56:52 players and coaches the past and present 99% would vote yes. I think my brother made it one step past the senior. I think he made it on the senior. I think he passed another step. So we are, I'm praying, I'm hoping. Obviously that would be great if Ocho and my brother got in. But I don't even know, I don't really know who's on the ballot this year. Have they already announced it? I got me a jacket already.

Like whether I should call a plumber or fix my shower myself. Tune into Risky Business every Thursday. Listen on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. Sheldon Pope said, Ocho, did you ever have a relationship with Uncle Luke or any of the Miami rappers or entertainers? Yeah, everybody. You know, all them boys, man, we all, we all close. We all close.
Starting point is 01:02:29 Obviously first name basis. If, if I could pick up the phone and, you know, text, we, we, everybody is somewhat close knit, you know, myself, Ross, Uncle Luke, Trig, Trina, uh, JT, I think JT Money out there in Atlanta now, but we all close, man. We all close. Now we don't run in the same circles. Right. But when we cross paths, you know, it's always love.

It would be an honor to have you there. I don't know how much time we won't I don't know how much time we're gonna have. We ain't got no time. Can I joke with no heebie hunn? Hey you need me for anything? He go he leave me in ash. Straight to the gym. Straight to the gym. But that's how I was when I trained. I used to go like that also. Justin, uh, Cartinas?
Starting point is 01:03:28 Yo, Uncle Nocho, do you have any memories of playing in Cowboys Old Stadium, especially on the AstroTurf? Yes. We played there in... I don't know when we played Cowboys there. We played them in 95. The last year they won the Super Bowl. That was a terrible stadium.
Starting point is 01:03:52 I don't like, I don't like field turf either. I want grass. Give me natural grass. Natural grass? Yeah, I've never had a problem on either one. My last time playing playing the Cowboy Stadium I don't even know if it was a real stadium What year was when I think Pac-Man was there and to was on the team Tony Romo was a quarterback
Starting point is 01:04:14 Yeah, that's the last time was that's the old stadium no, yeah, I might have been hold on to was there to play like Seven with the year they lost to the Giants, so that was seven. So it might have been seven or eight because how long do you play what, three years in Dallas? It might have been seven, eight, seven, eight or nine. Oh, Joe. OK. Because remember they went to the soup. Hello. He played with the Eagles. That was oh, four. When the Eagles played the New England or Super Bowl in Jacksonville. He played there another year. So five.
Starting point is 01:04:51 So about six, seven, eight with T.O. I think when T.O. was in Dallas. I'm not sure Pac-Man. Pac-Man might have been nine, ten. No. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. The Pac-Man and Tio overlapping Dallas?
Starting point is 01:05:07 Not. And yeah, they, they was there cause I saw some of the one-on-ones when you was the Tio in Dallas. Oh Joe. Yes, sir. When I say Tio within Oh Joe. Yes sir. When I say Tio was in 06. You say 08. 06, 08. No, remember the Superbowl, 04.
Starting point is 01:05:34 He played another year because remember he was doing the sit ups in the driveway, which was 05. The next year he was in Dallas. Cause remember, remember in 2007, Dallas had the best record in the Giants, go in there and beat him. That might've been the first, hold up, was that the first year of Jerry's World?
Starting point is 01:05:57 Oh nine, Eli beat him in that too. Eli was the first one to beat him in there too, did he? Cause he signed the wall. Yeah. So yeah, I don't know. Yeah. T-O was the six, seven and eight. Okay.
Starting point is 01:06:13 And then I think nine, he went to Buffalo for a year. And then he came to y'all in 10. Yeah. Played with y'all. We played like 13 games and towards me. And then he went to Seattle. That's right. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:36 He won number 10 in Seattle. I remember that. Yeah, but there was a dive. No slack given said, what's up? Uncle Nocho? Me and my wife birthday is today. Yeah, but there was a dive. No slack given said what's up Uncle Nocho, me and my wife's birthday is today, can you give us a shout out our names, Chris and Ky. Key Chris and Key. Starting point is 01:06:55 That ain't no fun. Y'all just exchanging gifts on the same day. No, I want my own day. Chris and Ky. I'm gonna say Ky, K-I. on the same day. No, I want my own day. Uh, Chris, think I'm gonna say Kai K. I happy birthday. Congratulations, man.
Starting point is 01:07:13 Uh, that's, that's great. Um, I'm happy for you guys. Hopefully it's your wedding anniversary and birthday. So y'all have to spend a lot of money, gift giving, exchanging gifts. Happy birthday. Happy birthday, anniversary, all, but that's how you do it. Rule is all up in one. You know what I'm saying, Ocho?
Starting point is 01:07:31 Hey, that's your birthday gift and your anniversary gift. No it ain't, yeah it is. Take it easy. So bro, that's one thing, Ocho, he can't ever forget anniversary or birthday kind of the same day. Oh no. What's this for? Uh
Starting point is 01:07:47 Anniversary It's your anniversary and your birthday gift all rolled up into one but uh, congratulations, bro. Happy birthday Happy anniversary. Enjoy kids chris and keith Okay, excuse me. Uh, hope you enjoyed it. Hope y'all had a nice dinner strange some nice gifts, but you're married. You're having a great time. You live in life, enjoy life. Congratulations.
Starting point is 01:08:13 We got, Oh, Oh Joe, check this out. The NFL says it's not involved in the decision deciding when to return from the concussion to is seeing top experts across the United States as he attempts to return from the concussion he suffered September 12th, according to the NFL Chief Medical Officer. On a conference call with reporters, Dr. Alan Seals said Friday that the league
Starting point is 01:08:38 was not involved in Tua's return. Seals says the league's primary goal, along with the NFL players association is making sure the concussion protocol, the two and the two entities jointly and for us in force is being followed by the team. Now, NFL say you're not going to sue us. Hell no. We don't want no part of that.
Starting point is 01:09:02 That's between two and the dolphins. Yeah, that's what that is. Oh, Joe, he'll be back week eight. I told you that. I guarantee you he'll be back week eight. NFL said, now we don't want no part of that. Yeah. We don't want nothing. So whatever y'all decide,
Starting point is 01:09:18 you have our blessing one way or the other. But now we're not touching that one, Ocho. We're not touching that one. Are you you? We're not touching that one. Are you surprised that the NFL is taking this stance? Yeah, most definitely. Oh, they are washing their hands like my grandma used to tell me. So you're not surprised?
Starting point is 01:09:36 I'm not surprised. Okay. After that settlement, they already had to pay out? Mm-hmm. Yeah, absolutely not. But we don't want nothing to do with that. That's between you and Mr. Ross. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:49 Yeah, exactly. Because you know a big entity like that, they get looped into it, Ocho. Yeah. Oh, yeah. And they say, nah, we ain't want no part of it. Alex Piana. KO round three, round four, four 32. I'll pour. Yep.
Starting point is 01:10:20 That's just how I'm, that's what I'm, that's just how I'm gonna do James. Just like that. Oh, you, you go. Oh, you go KO Devo? Man, just like that. I don't know, Ocho. I think you better do like run and tire him out. Nah, I ain't. You got any land kicks? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:44 Why, you ain't ever seen me kick a ball? What you think I'm gonna do to his leg? That's a little different, Ocho. I ain't no different. Ain't no more power. Ain't no more power behind that. Shoot, I might slap his goddamn leg in half. Just listen, I ain't gonna do all this talking, man.
Starting point is 01:11:02 I'ma just show you, man. How much? It's 35.18, I ain't gonna do all this talking, man. I'm gonna just show you, man. How much? It's 35 18, Ocho. Cal leaves Miami 35 18. Yeah, it's right here in front of my head. I see it. I'm using my peripheral vision. So you're only three scores down, Ocho.
Starting point is 01:11:19 You're only three scores down. Only? What ain't number 14 minutes to go? 15, but hey, a lot of things could happen. But we struggling to score. But y'all done held him. It was 35 to 10, so now it's 35 to 18. So y'all done stopped him a couple times.
Starting point is 01:11:41 Man. How long? So 2 has been out since September 20th, September 12th. They put him on our, so that means he has to be some miss at least four weeks. Correct? Yeah. So I was right about week eight then, right? Yes. Because that was the second week of the season, right?
Starting point is 01:12:07 That he went down. Cause they won the first game. Remember they came back and won the second game. He got, he got dinged. Yeah. I don't envy him to be in that position. I mean, it's a lot easier for us to say, cause we sit here and I haven't envy him to be in that position. I mean, it's a lot easier for us to say, cause we sit here, you and I haven't played
Starting point is 01:12:27 a number of years and been able to leave on our own terms. But you work so hard for something and not to be able to go out on your own terms is tough. It's tough. Yeah.
