Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an iHeart Podcast. I'm Michael Kassin, founder and CEO of 3C Ventures and your guide on Good Company, the podcast where I sit down with the boldest innovators shaping what's next. In this episode, I'm joined by Anjali Sood, CEO of 2B. We dive into the competitive world of streaming. Would others dismiss as niche we embrace as core? There are so many stories out there. And if you can find a way to curate and help the right person discover the right content, the term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen. Listen to Good Company on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your
Starting point is 00:00:40 podcasts. In the fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal that looked like it might bring down his presidency. He became known as the Iran-Contra affair. The things that happened were so bizarre and insane, I can't begin to tell you. Please do. To hear the whole story, listen to Fiasco, Iran Contra on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. The volume. And it's- Ocho. Yeah. Each NFL team's gold.
Starting point is 00:01:25 Can you see that right there? They got each NFL team's gold. I think FanDuel did that. Yeah. By the way, I saw this earlier. Hold on. Do you got any objections? Hold on.
Starting point is 00:01:33 Hey, Ash. Ash, if you can hear me, can you text that to my phone? My eyes are bad. I like this. I like this. I like this. I like this. I like this.
Starting point is 00:01:43 I like this. I like this. I like this. I like this. I like this. I like this. Hold on. Hey, uh, Ash, Ash, if you can hear me, can you text that to my phone? My eyes are bad. I like this. Somebody sent it to me earlier too. But I was at the concert, so I wasn't able to, um... Ash heard me? Yeah, she sent it to you.
Starting point is 00:02:02 Hold on, it's coming. I like stuff like this too. Me. You have any objections based on what you see so far? Okay. There we go. I got it now. Uh, Larry Fitzgerald.
Starting point is 00:02:20 Absolutely. The Matt Ryan, I would have loved to put Julio Jones there instead, but Matt Ryan, I totally understand. The quarterback. Ravens, Ray Lewis. Of course. Well, I don't know when it's all said and done, if it might not be Lamar. Lamar, okay, yeah, when it's all said and done, yeah, probably. But you got to understand, Ray gave you two Super Bowls now. Gave two Super Bowls, two-time Defensive Player of the year. He's universally regarded as the best middle linebacker to ever play the game. I was very fortunate to play with him for two years and know what he put in it to become what he became.
Starting point is 00:02:52 So I ain't got no problem with that. Yeah. Brucie, I played against Brucie. Yeah, Buffalo, yep. Yeah, I mean, I think for the Bills, it could have gone two ways. It could have been Jim Kelly or it could have been Bruce Smith. You can't go wrong either way.
Starting point is 00:03:05 What you think? I think Brucey. And plus Brucey was a two time defensive player of the year. All decade player in the eighties and the nineties. Now we'll see what Josh Allen does. Can he take him to the soup bowl and unseat him? Right. Cam.
Starting point is 00:03:22 Okay. Yep. Absolutely. And I think Cam also with Cam you can slash Luke Keakley even though it was short lives. What about Pep? What about Julius Peppers? Steve Smith. It's tougher than you think for Carolina. Yeah it is. But Cam quarterback, MVP, took it to the Super Bowl. I'm cool with that. Walter Payton. Okay. Hands down. Auntie Munoz. Absolutely. Jim Brown.
Starting point is 00:03:46 Ain't nobody unseating him. No. Emmett. Okay. Yeah. I can live with that. John. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:53 Uh huh. Over Troy? Yeah. Okay. Okay. Two time. You do realize that Emmett was a two time league MVP, right? John. Okay. I'll live with that. That's a good one. Yeah, Harry. Yep. Absolutely
Starting point is 00:04:11 Aaron Rodgers Wow Overbred I'm not yeah, I'm not surprised. I mean he got four MVPs break got three He was a Super Bowl MVP winner More touchdowns more and let fewer interceptions. I'm cool. I'm perfectly cool with that. And they have some great, they have some great players. You got Bart Starr, James Lofton, then the Pro Bowl. My brother's going to the Pro Bowl. You have a Ray Nitsky, Walter, Willie Davis, Herb Adderley.
Starting point is 00:04:39 Oh, they got some, Paul Horning, Taylor. Right. Yes. Yes. Aaron Rodgers, Taylor. Right. Yes. Yes. Aaron Rodgers, JJ Watt. Yes. Flash. Hey, Manning.
Starting point is 00:04:50 Absolutely. Even though with Johnny U-9 us and they got some players. Yes. Hold on, hold on. Now you skipped now that Houston's one now I was slash Andre Johnson as well. Well, first of all, that's with JJ three defensive players of the year, Ocho. Uh, okay. I mean, you, I mean, you could probably make a case.
Starting point is 00:05:09 He's the top five defensive player of all time with what he's been at, what he was able to do those years. He's the only guy to have multiple 20 sack seasons. Okay. I live with that. Peyton Manning, even though you got Johnny Uninas, uh, you got some great players, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne. You've got some great players that, Harrison, Reggie Wayne, you got some great players that played there, but for me it's Peyton. Now I was a little surprised by this Fred Taylor.
Starting point is 00:05:33 Wait, you surprised? Yeah, I thought they'd probably go with Tony Basselli. Oh, one of the greatest, probably one of the greatest left tackles of all time. Yep. Yeah. But Fred had longevity. Baseli got hurt, his shoulder gave out on him. As a matter of fact, I had a great conversation with him
Starting point is 00:05:50 when he was at the last Super Bowl. I was on a panel with him. So Patrick Mahomes. Yeah, goes without saying. Hey, what are- Marcus Allen. Greatest player. Yes. Greatest Marcus, yeah. But you know, look, they have some great players.
Starting point is 00:06:04 They got a lot of Hall of Famers. Exactly. That's why, that's why I just said. But Marcus, man, look, you got to understand. He and I had a really falling out. He was blocking for Bo Jackson. LT, absolutely. LT was spied.
Starting point is 00:06:16 I was fortunate enough to play in the tail end my career gifts LT and they have some great players Kellan Winslow Dan Fouts Philip Rivers are gates Fred Dean was there for a minute big hands Johnson Who else they had? They had Charlie right here. I mean, I'm Harrison. Yeah that junior say I yeah. Yeah bad, uh, oh Bernie Harrison. Yeah that Junior Seau. Yeah yeah. They had uh uh Charlie Jonah West, they had John Jefferson, the Moon Man. The Moon Man? Forget what's what's West's last name. But they have some good receivers there.
Starting point is 00:06:57 Kellan Winslow senior here. The Rams Aaron Donald. No surprise there without question The Adolphus Dano no surprise there absolutely Minnesota Randy no surprise there and they got some Hall of Famers, you know, they got that that famous a purple people eater Alan pages in the Hall of Fame. He's one of two men that went defensive when the MVP as a defensive player here at L T car hell is in the hall of fame, John, uh, Johnny Randall, Chris Carter, Fran Tarkin, Chris Doleman. So ready. The quarterback they had. Yeah. Ralph Cunningham.
Starting point is 00:07:41 Freya. Uh, mental, uh, New England, Tom stopya. Minnesota, New England, Tom. Stop saying, uh, New Orleans, Drew stop. Yeah. Uh, New York, L T stop without saying, uh, the Jeff Joe Namath, Broadway Joe. Yep. The Eagles Reggie.
Starting point is 00:08:01 Cause I gotta say, I got a chance to play against Reggie in his prime. He that yeah Steelers mean Joe and you know Steelers got a lot of a lot of man He was the anchor. He was that under tackle that made it all work. Yeah Sam Fran Jerry rightfully so Seattle Russell Wilson Super Bowl winner quarterback. Absolutely. Tampa, Derrick Brooks. I thought they might go south.
Starting point is 00:08:33 Thought they might go Leroy Selman. Leroy Selman was the first overall draft pick in 1976. The first year they came into existence. Their first Hall of Famer. But I like, I played against Brooks. But I know Brooks and I know south. Yeah, but I like, I played against Bruxy. So, but I know Bruxy and I know Sam. Yeah. So I ain't got no problem with this.
Starting point is 00:08:49 The Tennessee Titans, Warren Moon. The Oilers. Yeah. Yep. Yeah. You can't go wrong with that. Or it could have been Harold Campbell. Ah, but it was too short.
Starting point is 00:09:05 He was, he was a short, but he was like, I think a three time offensive player of the year, an MVP led the league in Russia. Hey, the one of the most punishing backs ever. Ever. Yeah. And Washington, Darrell green, DG. Well, couldn't it, couldn't that have been, that could have been, um, Doug Williams, no?
Starting point is 00:09:24 Doug played at Tampa, but he, but, but Doug had a short career at Tampa. You remember he won the Super Bowl with Washington. Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. So Darryl Green's longevity gets him not here. Oh yeah. The chance said it should have been Dion or Michael Bick. I Wait, okay, you know where and that ladder But Dion only played Dion was only there for five years five eighty nine ninety ninety one ninety two ninety three
Starting point is 00:09:58 Ninety-four he went to San Francisco. He did two in San Francisco in two and one in San Francisco Okay, ninety four ninety five. He went to the Cowboys and they want Dallas. He won in San Francisco. Okay. In 94. In 95 he went to the Cowboys and they won. He won at the Super Bowl in 94 with San Fran. He went to Dallas in 95, won the Super Bowl with them. So he only played five years in Atlanta. Yeah. I don't think people realize how short Time's career was there.
Starting point is 00:10:19 And they let him walk. They didn't franchise him or anything. They let him walk. Right. I like Julio as the better player yeah but for the Falco but you know the quarterback always gets a nod what about Mike Vick culturally yes hey and then that Mike Vickie. Still a legend out there, man.
Starting point is 00:10:48 Hey, man, them Joe will still be wearing Mike Vick jerseys. Yeah, who wouldn't? Still. Well, he was... Okay, I can't even explain it. I can't even explain it. For one game, one of the one games, when we played the Falcons,
Starting point is 00:11:04 where the whole offense was up watching. Ain't nobody on that turf. Nobody was on the bench when we played against Vic. Him on that turf was, you had to see it. There you had to see it. Ready to start running back. Ashton Gentry predicts 1500 rushing yards and between 10 and 20 touchdowns It is rookie season. I'm hoping for 1500 yards and we'll say like 10 20 touchdowns. Do you think that's possible for the rook?
Starting point is 00:11:35 Absolutely. I don't know about those 20 touchdowns 1500 yards. Yes. Yes Yeah, I'm trying to think man. You probably got who that's probably you got talked about Gale Sarah's I think Gale Sarah's had 20 rush touchdowns his rookie season. And I think that was 1965. Go back and take a look at Gale's numbers. Gale was a lecture. You can't just comment.
Starting point is 00:11:56 Hey, I like the confidence too. And setting the goals for yourself, setting those type of lofty goals for yourself as a rookie coming in. I like it. I don't think it's going to be as easy as he thinks it's going to be, especially when he, when he gets to see how fast everybody else is. Just imagine you playing Penn State's defense. That's what everybody in NFL is.
Starting point is 00:12:21 Hey, I think a little better than that though. That's what I'm saying. And who's going to be able to lift coverage off you? What receivers you got? Now you got Bowers. He's really good. And I think y'all worked hand in hand, you know. You want to start dropping that safety down in the box and now Bowers get an opportunity to work one on one.
Starting point is 00:12:40 So I do think 1500 yards might be possible, but it'd be very doable. I say 10, 12 touchdowns, but 20, man, bro, that's a lot of tubs, Ocho. Yes. What was Gale's numbers? His rookie year. His second year was when he had those six touchdowns in a game. Yeah. But they only played 12 games back then. He definitely would have had 20 touchdowns if they'd have played five more games.
Starting point is 00:13:28 They had 14 games in 65? He came out in 64, right? Yeah, yeah, it was him and Buccas. I think Buccas, yeah, him and Buccas were like, okay. I'm Michael Kassin, founder and CEO of 3C Ventures and your guide on Good Company, the podcast where I sit down with the boldest innovators shaping what's next. In this episode, I'm joined by Anjali Sood, CEO of Tubi, for a conversation that's anything but ordinary. We dive into the competitive world of streaming, how she's turning so-called niche into mainstream gold,
Starting point is 00:15:06 connecting audiences with stories that truly make them feel seen. Would others dismiss as niche we embrace as core? It's this idea that there are so many stories out there, and if you can find a way to curate and help the right person discover the right content, the term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen. Get a front row seat to where media, marketing, technology, entertainment, and sports collide.
Starting point is 00:15:34 And hear how leaders like Anjali are carving out space and shaking things up a bit in the most crowded of markets. Listen to Good Company on the iHeart radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. In the fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal that looked like it might bring down his presidency. Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir? No. No one was let go.
Starting point is 00:16:09 It became known as the Iran-Contra affair. And I'm not taking any more questions. In just a second, I'm going to ask a… I'm Leon Neyfok, co-creator of Slow Burn. In my podcast, Fiasco, Iran-Contra, you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a scandal that captivated the nation nearly 40 years ago, but which few of us still remember today. The things that happened were so bizarre and insane, I can't begin to tell you. Please do.
Starting point is 00:16:47 To hear the whole story, listen to Fiasco, Iran Contra on the iHeart radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I think 1500 yards is realistic, but that's still a lot of yards even though it's 17 games. That's still a lot of yards, Ocho. Listen, I like... That's 80 yards a game. Oh, you know how hard that is? I do.
Starting point is 00:17:18 Yes, I know how hard it is. Listen, you're going to have to have some games where he hit it well over a hundred And get and I'll holler at you. How was this 40 time? Just curious. What do you run the 40? Did you run the 40? Brother what 4445? He doesn't he doesn't he doesn't have he doesn't have 445 Okay, he didn't... You gotta go speed. Ain't gotta go speed. But I like it though, what? 1500?
Starting point is 00:17:54 That's a lot of yards in 10 to 20 touchdowns. Ocho, check this out. While it appears that Aaron Rodgers is signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team apparently has a contingency plan if something goes awry. Jeremy Fowler said, based on conversations he had during last week's NFL League meetings, Kirk Cousins at best, at very least, on the Steelers radar. Fowler said the Steelers were interested earlier this offseason in the possibility of acquiring Cousins.
Starting point is 00:18:23 It was reported last month that the Falcons had discussions with multiple teams regarding a possible trade of cousins, but Atlanta was looking for a team to take on a significant portion, at least 20 million of the remaining 37 and a half million guaranteed on cousins contract Falcons asking price might be more reasonable now, however, Remember Ocho? Yeah. The game 50 million, signed last year. Yes, sir.
Starting point is 00:18:52 And he got 37 guaranteed this year. So he got a hundred million dollars coming over the next three years. But a guarantee. Yeah. And when I had, Ocho, and the thing that I said, I said, Ocho, let's just say in the best case scenario, he plays two years. I said, Ocho, what if he only gives you one?
Starting point is 00:19:12 Which is what he gave us half of one. He gave us half of that one. But listen, as long as the fact that they're even waiting, I'm sure they're probably in talks right now with the Falcons about wanting to acquire Kirk Cousins and paying that 20 million that the Falcons would want them to pay on his salary. So they're sitting here waiting on Aaron Rodgers when they have, is it OTAs coming up?
Starting point is 00:19:37 Or many- They're already in them. Yeah, like, I mean, listen, I know you, you're a veteran, but I would love, I would love, maybe it's just me, if I was in a veteran but I would love I would love maybe it's just me If I was in his position, I would love to be there right now Yeah, I would too. I would love I would love to be there. I would love the continuity you know getting getting acclimated with the offense and having Having that much of a head start if that's what I really want to do
Starting point is 00:20:02 if that's what I really want to do. I don't know, but Aaron, listen, I think he feels like he's played long enough he doesn't need to be there. The game of football is all the same and I don't know. Me personally, I think I heard him in his relationship with not personal relationship, but his own field relationship with some of the receivers in New York.
Starting point is 00:20:25 Yeah, I've heard, I've heard, his own field relationship with some of the receivers finger in New York. Yeah. I've heard, I've heard, I could be wrong that he was throwing with DK. Yeah. I think it was out here in LA. Yeah, so I mean, if they were throwing together, then that's- You don't realize DK is not the only receiver
Starting point is 00:20:43 on the team, right? Yeah, but he would be that, he'd be the main guy. Okay. James Harrison got in on the viral, Good Night Trent and called Brett Keisel. Let's take a look at the video with you. It's funny. Yeah, I think they're a little something, some picture.
Starting point is 00:20:57 There are a couple more couple of pounds. Okay, so y'all going back home now? Yeah. Okay. What you doing? Sick, man. Just laying in bed, man. I just called to tell you, you getting up? My man, man. Give me a kiss.
Starting point is 00:21:22 I Listen that's one of the funniest things going on right now man that's friend I've seen some I've seen some of the commanding players do it. Yeah Alright, that's this little dude try to get jay Daniels. They like bro. What you want? Yeah That's funny, especially Especially the authentic reaction of having someone tell you goodnight, especially the fellas when you know it's not normal, it's not common, it's something that's-
Starting point is 00:21:51 First of all, somebody, a guy calling and telling you goodnight, it's gonna elicit, let's just say for the sake of argument, you all did it at one time and then nobody knew it was a trend. I think people are starting to catch on now and so they're gonna play into it. But if everybody did it at one time and they didn't nobody know it was a trend. I think it was starting to catch on now. And so they're, they're going to play into it.
Starting point is 00:22:06 But if everybody did it at one time, just, just take athlete to athlete and you call somebody, man, look here, you, you better believe that out. Hey, the first thing I can, listen, I'm all the people I could think of. They ain't going to say, man, stop playing on my phone. They gonna curse. Yes. You think, you know, they gonna say something you can't, you can't do.
Starting point is 00:22:31 Yes, yes, yes. So, that was, that was. That's why I don't play a whole, that's why I don't play on the phone. Mm-hmm. Before, hey, before I say, hey, man, you got me on speaker. They ask me to say a thing. Man, I'm on speaker.
Starting point is 00:22:49 You should have told me. Ocho, have you seen the Seekwanda Cooper DeJohn Alley Hoop video? Oh yeah. Let's watch this. Bounce. Bouncey. Yeah. Well, think about it. The rim is 11 feet, right? 10. 10 feet. Listen, I think every NFL player, especially at the skill position, they can dunk. They can dunk. Everybody, everybody.
Starting point is 00:23:29 Oh yeah, I mean, you're six foot tall with a 30 plus inch vertical, yeah, you can be dunk. Because your arm's probably two feet long. You got a 30 plus inch vertical, that's two and a half feet, plus you six foot. So you should be good. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. When he dunk that thing with authority.
Starting point is 00:23:44 Yeah. Like, huh. Absolutely. He dumped that thing with authority. Yeah like huh You should see me done. You know, my vertical at the combine was at what 42 right? No, it wasn't but okay. Oh You see a dude that ran that 41 40 I think he read I think he won the big team and the hundred meters Why kid that I was oh He still hey he blake, he can run. Yeah, I think he wasn't a hundred meters. I think that was him.
Starting point is 00:24:09 Is it really, is it really 4'1 though? Yeah, oh yeah, he can run. No, no, no, he can get out, Ocho. He can get out. Christian Coleman. When he jumped out them blocks. Christian Coleman can get out. And I don't think Christian Coleman.
Starting point is 00:24:23 He ain't Christian Coleman starting his prime, but he can get out. Oh, he got out on the board. They almost came and got him. But hey, he is out there. I think that was him. Was that him, Ash? I forgot his name. The guy from Iowa that won the Big Ten in the 100 Meter Dash. The white guy from Iowa. Is that the one that ran that for or was something? At Iowa for Spring day or something. You know how fast, you know, how fast for one is, you know, that might, that might
Starting point is 00:24:55 be what 16 steps, a little, maybe less, maybe less. I mean, I saw a guy, uh, we had a DB run for two On grass on grass, yeah That's a whole lot of talk work Yep, that's it mojo he ran for one night, right I Yep, that's him Ocho. He ran 419 right? I need, I need to, he needs to, he needs to... Chris McColeman ran 412.
Starting point is 00:25:32 Yeah, okay. You saying ran 422 with a sweatpants on. Playing around. He ran 415. He can get out Ocho, I'm telling you. If you watch this, go pull it up on YouTube and watch him how he got out. He can get out. Yeah, I gotta see that.
Starting point is 00:25:51 Alright, it's time for our final segment of the evening. It's time for Q&A. Good night. What if I ran 401? I probably wouldn't be able to run that route. Oh, you can run around. All it's gonna do is get you to that safety quicker. You better stay your ass on the outside.
Starting point is 00:26:18 That's a headache. I mean, the only guy, I mean, there've been only a handful of guys, uh, that's been able to run like that. Oh Joe, that was not afraid to go. All right. Tyreek to have that kind of speed and didn't live predominantly outside. Tyreek catches a lot of in-braking routes. Normally when you have that kind of speed, you ain't really trying to get hit.
Starting point is 00:26:42 Oh, you run into go routes, But Tyree turned himself into a very good receiver where he could run the route tree. And that's what makes him so dangerous. Uh, Patrick Arthur said, Oh, Oh, Joe, Stephen A said Tyrese Halliburton ain't a superstar. Ben, neither is Anthony Edwards. Would you, I think Tyrese Halliburton is a star. I don't think he's a superstar. Now, I could be wrong. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:11 My basketball prowess is nowhere near yours or maybe nowhere near those in the chat that enjoy the game of basketball, but he's a star. Yeah. You know, slouch, but superstar is reserved for the- They ain't but a handful of them. I mean, we throw the term superstar and star, we throw all those terms around loosely. And it's kind of devalued a little bit, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:27:34 Right. Because anybody that have a year or two of great basketball, oh, you're a superstar. No, no. Man, you used to have to put work in you. You used to put consistency. Yeah, you had to get a couple of, you know, MVP, you used to have to work in consistency. Yeah, you had to get a company and your MVP Go to the finals, you know, you had to put some work in not just have a couple of good seasons. Yeah Yeah, I don't think how y'all how y'all being this your boy from South Dakota
Starting point is 00:27:59 Patrick we've been alright We've been alright life is good. Life is good. Happy Valley Farm said, Thunder walked the wolves down with a poker face. Well, look, if you look at the way the Thunder came out tonight, it was a lot different than what they came out from game three. Yeah. And they knew they could, they could not allow the crowd to get into it. Like they did in game three and they came out, meant business. They came out with the purpose of like, we're going back home three one.
Starting point is 00:28:26 We're not going back home to two. And they did what they set out to do. You know, if they hurry up and in this series and win this next game, won't they have even that much more time to rest? Yes. Yes. All depends. Do the, uh, and then the Pacers take a three one lead or do they go back to MSG tied to two?
Starting point is 00:28:47 Right. Yes. Uh, Zeke the God 96. Do you think the Knicks will make a comeback? Everything is contingent on this game. Yeah. If they win game four, I say they make a comeback and they win in seven. If they don't, they going home and fight.
Starting point is 00:29:09 Colin, is Aaron Donald really MVP for the Rams? Y'all forgetting St. Louis days, greatest show on turf. Okay. You won't. So basically, okay, let's go back. You got Jim Hart, the Rams, you got the fearsome foursome, you got Merlin Olsen, who was a 14-time Pro Bowler, you got Deacon, you got Rosie Greer, and you got Lamar Lundy. If you go all the way back to St. Louis, you got Jim Hart at St. Louis, you got Dan Dierdorf at St. Louis, you got Otis Anderson at St. Louis. You got Dan Dierdorf at St. Louis. You got Otis Anderson at St. Louis.
Starting point is 00:29:47 Those are the really only guys I could think of in St. Louis. Now, if you go to Phoenix, I'm trying to... No, I mean, that's the Cardinals. My bad. Rams. St. Louis Rams. Okay, let's go back to LA, because they started in LA, then they moved in, then they moved back. Sam Wardle? then they moved it and then they moved back. Sam Waterford. Yeah, I'm look. Okay, you want Kurt Warner, Isaac Bruce, Orlen O'Pais. Marshall Faulk.
Starting point is 00:30:18 Marshall Faulk. You gotta realize it's not like Kurt spent a whole lot of time there, man. It wasn't that long. Wasn't. It's Aaron Donah. Aaron Donah. The dominance, the eight first team, I think eight camp first team, all pro defensive rookie of the year, three time, year, three time defensive player of the year.
Starting point is 00:30:49 Yeah, I think it's AD. Yeah. And that is not to take anything away from all those other guys because Kurt's in the Hall of Fame. Marsha's in the Hall of Fame. Isaac Bruce is in the Hall of Fame. Orlando Pace is in the Hall of Fame. Torrie Holt's eventually going to get in the Hall of Fame. Torrie Holt's eventually gonna get in the Hall of Fame, but it's a, it's a, it's AD.
Starting point is 00:31:09 Way too smooth. Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers, he saved the Packers franchise, went to two Super Bowl, was the only player to win three MVPs in a row. He did, but Aaron has four MVPs. Aaron was a Super Bowl MVP. And Aaron Rodgers has more touchdowns
Starting point is 00:31:29 with fewer interceptions. I don't know, bro. I mean, doesn't Aaron have more touchdowns for the Packers than Aaron? I mean, than Brett? Because I'm looking, no, uh, I'm, I'm thinking one more MVP, a Super Bowl MVP. Uh, I think he's been to more Pro Bowls. I think they've been to the same.
Starting point is 00:32:02 I think they've been the same. Same as, as far as all pros, I think Aaron've been to the same. I think they've been the same, same as, as far as all pros. I think Aaron might have four, Brett has three for the Packers. Is it? No, I'm safe. Yes. Yeah. So much. And we'll get the interceptions.
Starting point is 00:32:35 Air Rogers has left in a hundred interceptions for the Packers with 475 touchdowns. Brett got to have at least 200 for the Packers. Right. How many interceptions does Brett have? Yeah, 105 for the Packers. So he has 440, 475 touchdowns, 105 interceptions. Yeah. Brett has 286 interceptions with 442 touchdowns. Yeah, Aaron Rodgers is the gopher for the Packers. with 442 touchdowns. Yeah, Aaron Rodgers is the go for the Packers. And just those numbers you just rambled off about what Aaron Rodgers was able to do in the past is one of the reasons why the goddamn Steelers is actually waiting.
Starting point is 00:33:13 You waiting? And Sean Taylor isn't there. I mean, he probably could have been there, but he didn't play enough years. You got to realize DG played 20 years at corner. Yeah. How many 20 year corners you think you ever go see again in your life? Be the MVP. It's not happening. It's not. It's not. Starting point is 00:34:46 In this episode, I'm joined by Anjali Sood, CEO of Tubi, for a conversation that's anything but ordinary. We dive into the competitive world of streaming, how she's turning so-called niche into mainstream gold, connecting audiences with stories that truly make them feel seen. What others dismiss as niche, we embrace as core. It's this idea that there are so many stories out there, and if you can find a way to curate and help the right person discover the right content,
Starting point is 00:35:16 the term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen. Get a front row seat to where media, marketing, technology, entertainment, and sports collide. And hear how leaders like Anjali are carving out space and shaking things up a bit in the most crowded of markets. Listen to Good Company on the iHeart radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. you get your podcasts. In the fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal that looked like it might bring down his presidency.
Starting point is 00:35:57 Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir? No. No one was let go. It became known as the Iran-Contra affair. And I'm not taking any more questions. In just a second, I'm going to ask attorney general. I'm Leon Neyvok, co-creator of Slow Burn. In my podcast, Fiasco, Iran-Contra, you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a scandal
Starting point is 00:36:22 that captivated the nation nearly 40 years ago, but which few of us still remember today. The things that happened were so bizarre and insane, I can't begin to tell you. Please do. To hear the whole story, listen to Fiasco, Iran Contra, on the iHeart Radio app, Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Big TD the one. Uncle Nocho, if you guys are on the same team in your prime, who is the number one option? I don't care about number one. I'm gonna get mine. I'm gonna get mine. I'm gonna get mine. I'm not so sure that I was always the number one option, but I just know I led my team in receiving.
Starting point is 00:37:23 the number one option, but I just know I led my team in receiving for six straight years. Dude, me too. You led, you led Bingo six straight years? Yeah, sure. I led the AFC four years in a row. Yeah. See, I ain't do that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:42 I led, I led the, uh, I led my team seven of the 14 years finish one catch, I almost had eight. Codger caught one more pass than I did. I started to go back in there and catch another pass of time. Jamar Chase, not really a hundred percent on playing flag football in the 2028 Olympics. I don't know. I want to hear more information about it. I want to know the timing for us off season, end of season. I want't know, I want to hear more information about it. I want to know the timing for us, off season, end of season.
Starting point is 00:38:07 I want to know if we're getting paid. I want to know where we're traveling every week, every other day, every day. Like, all parts of it, because we have an off season, we have a life. How long would it be? I don't know. There's a lot of questions to it.
Starting point is 00:38:19 I think it's pretty cool, but I'm not really 100% on it yet. Yeah, I mean, I like it. I like it. And I like also out there, when a reporter's asking how he felt about those that love and play the game of flag football professionally, uh, and making sure they're incorporated in some way. He said, obviously he says he needs to do his homework on it, but listen, Doucet, who obviously the quarterback who's's very, very good and he plays flag at
Starting point is 00:38:46 the highest level. You know, he spoke out and said hi. He felt it wasn't fair that the game they love is being taken over by NFL players. Yeah, for sure. Anyone is going to represent our country in a flag football format, it should be them. So Doucet, I'm sure you're going to see this and I hope you all get, get the, the due justice that you guys deserve for the game that you guys love to play. And it's not taken over by those that play NFL football.
Starting point is 00:39:13 Uh, they can, they can come help contribute and get a better understanding of the game, but actually them just going from NFL football with a certain set of rules and thinking they're going to learn and dominate the game of flag football and just asinine to think Yeah flag tough man, hey look I know I know we are athletes and y'all played the game of football I know I played no other sport outside of basketball, but just this what about a year ago We got a flag football team out here, Hammon Park. And guess what? It's co-ed.
Starting point is 00:39:50 Man, we getting out of this thing. You hear me? I'm talking about, listen, I'm talking about the girls can throw, catch. I'm talking about they got all type of little nuances in the game that you ain't never played it. See? You lost out there. You lost. Yeah. Catch I'm talking about they got all type of look nuances in the game that if you ain't never played it see You lost. Yeah Yeah, they they game different now. I thought for some NFL guys
Starting point is 00:40:13 I'm like, oh man, it probably be all right, but y'all say ain't wait. Yeah, it's hard. It's tough Joe is too many is too is too many tricks. There's too many nuances It's too you ride're going on the knee and they can manipulate the game in ways that NFL players aren't used to. I don't care how fast and quick you are, having those attributes to apply to your game, now that's all nice and dandy in the NFL.
Starting point is 00:40:37 But flag? Man, shit. And like he said, okay, how much time are they gonna have to devote? Because it's not like, it's like, oh, you know what I mean, like basketball. But basketball, you know, when the, uh, when the pros came, you know, came back in 92, when they went to Barcelona, they had practice. So what are you going to do? You just go have these guys out there, hey, okay, you want to play?
Starting point is 00:41:00 Okay, okay, Lamar, you can be the quarterback. Hey, uh, uh, Jed, uh, Tyree, you want to play? No, they're going to have to go practice. And like he said, that's their off season. And just like you guys in basketball, they got to give up a large part of their off season, Joe. Because soon, what you come up with, and then you got, you know, like in basketball, they got the Worlds and they got all the USAs and they got all this other stuff.
Starting point is 00:41:26 But it's gonna be different. It ain't just, okay, y'all just show up. Right. So I- Learn how to put what Chase is talking about. Yeah. Yeah. Chemistry and continuity, man, you can't cheat that.
Starting point is 00:41:39 Oh. You can't cheat. You think you can have the most talented guys and just go out there and beat up on folks, but man, listen, if y'all ain't on the same page, you're surrounded. Especially when you don't know the rules and you haven't been doing it for a very long time. Yeah, I agree. The Bears are reportedly looking for Caleb Williams to improve his body language and other finer nuances, per Albert Breyer. While the coaches understood the beating that he took, they showed Fem to emphasize how he'd been slow
Starting point is 00:42:08 to pull himself off the ground. Williams reportedly is eagerly to make these changes. I agree. Body language is everything, Ocho. You know our ideas. Yeah, yeah, but listen, we talk about Chicago Bears. We talk about the same team that had Jake Cutler who showed no emotion the whole time.
Starting point is 00:42:27 I totally understand them, but keep your quarterback upright. Keep your quarterback upright the best way you can. He wouldn't have to be slow to get up off the ground because he's tired of getting up from there. He's tired. I understand him. That's why he's getting up slow. The faster you get up, the quicker quick you gonna be back back down now
Starting point is 00:42:48 Well, I think it's like, you know Like the quarterbacks normally they they normally spring up because now you make it seem like it's the offensive line You know, you don't want to show anybody up So just you know, just just pop on back up like a yeah We know a we know you take, yeah, we know you get, and like you said, the coaches understood the beating that he took. Yeah, but hey, I ain't finna show the defense,
Starting point is 00:43:11 y'all ain't finna know. Somebody might get a clean shot on me, Ocho, but you ain't gonna know it. If I can get up, I'm gonna get my ass up. Yeah. I done had some stuff broken, I lay right there. Y'all come on and get me. When I broke my collarbone, fraction of my eye socket joke.
Starting point is 00:43:30 I laid right there. But other than that, I done took some mean shots. Don't remember a whole lot, but. Yeah, that orbital bone, yeah, the way he laid out. I would lay it out for a minute too. That thing hurt. It made it feel like the whole side of my face exploded. Man, listen, when I did mine, they took me to the back. Man, I thought somebody was hitting me in the back of my head with a hammer. That thing was hurting so bad it just was like- Wait, had they?
Starting point is 00:43:56 What? What? I'm talking about it wouldn't go away, Ocho. Damn. Yeah. I'm talking about ringing, ringing. That thing hurt. It definitely hurt. The Falcons posted this picture today before promptly, promptly deleting it. We're out here. 3, 28.
Starting point is 00:44:15 What's wrong with it? Why they delete it? Uh, yeah, what we miss her? 283, Patriots, Falcons. Ah, man. Alright, okay, okay, okay, okay. Ah. Oh, so they got somebody that jokes. The jokes been flying, huh?
Starting point is 00:44:34 Yup. Okay, understandable. But that's the past, huh? That's the past. We have to leave the community for that. Man, look here. Atlanta ain't gonna ever forget that, Joe. You better tell it. Man, listen, oh Joe. Hey, it's so happy. I was playing for the Brooklyn Nets at the time, but I was here in Atlanta We've been to play the house Couple days. So, you know, I had a little shindig at the crib. My partner came over here He had his wife and his son decked out in Atlanta gear
Starting point is 00:45:00 I'm talking about boy. They going crazy half time. You hear me throwing a whole Running of the bulls in my kitchen going crazy You hear me? Ocho the boy when that leech started trickling down you should have seen that man Hey, he lost it. He lost couldn't believe there's already long streets man My homeboy baby, baby pictures they parted in the street with the super bowl covered to Atlanta. What I tell you Hey, I'm not not even trying to Atlanta. What I tell you, Hey, I'm not even trying to be funny when I'm 28, three on. I honestly thought the game was over.
Starting point is 00:45:32 I had jumped on the video game. I started playing FIFA. I could, I'm just thinking about it. And you know, as playing the game, as long as I played it, especially two teams that are as good as they are to get to the Super Bowl, to be down 28, three. There's really no way you can come back from that. Run the ball, give the block. They made every mistake that would not run the football.
Starting point is 00:45:53 How you up 28-3 and you have fewer rushes in the second half than the team that's down 28-3. Matt Ryan know damn well he can't take a sack because they're in field goal range and he took a sack. And the play that changed it is when Tevin Campbell got hurt, they brought the backup back in, I forget his name, and he whiffed and high tower. It had to got open for a touchdown and Matt Ryan was trying to throw it.
Starting point is 00:46:20 And in the process, high tower hitting, he fumbled. to throw it and in the process Hattow was hitting he fumbled. Mm-hmm. Sorry she lost. That fourth down kiss from Edelman too, that ain't nothing. Oh yeah. That ain't nothing. Well it was almost picked off. Yeah that would number the football guys right there.
Starting point is 00:46:37 But think about it late in the ball game, Ocho, the fourth quarter I think it was like inside of two minutes, Julio made that great toe touch. Yeah. You in field goal range. Yes. Oh, that was beautiful. You in field goal range. Now just run the football.
Starting point is 00:46:51 Yeah. Why would you, why would you, and Matt Ryan had been playing long enough. He knows he can't take a sack in that situation, Ojo. He can't. You just can't. Hey, look, they built that beautiful stadium right after that, thinking they was gonna get right back to that.
Starting point is 00:47:09 And, uh... Get back, boy. It is. Listen, man. Think about it. Hold on. They played us in 98, so it was almost 20 years before they went back again. All right, boy. Hey, I think people have been spoiled by the Patriots consistently going back over and over and over.
Starting point is 00:47:27 In Kansas City? In Kansas City now recently. It's hard, man. It's a testament to how great 12 and 15 are. Yep. There's a reason they make, man, you get the point. I don't need to get into that. Someone built the worst NFL franchises, building the worst NFL franchises, logo, Washington, Jersey, the Browns, stadium, commanders, offense, Browns, defense, Jags, coaching, Cowboys, city, Las Vegas,
Starting point is 00:48:04 fans, Chargers, mascot, Raiders. Ocho? Hold on. Y'all think that the weakest is the Browns? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:48:15 Um, boy, you seen the Browns all white? That ain't what they known for. They known for them do the Browns. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Hey, that all white, that all white Penn for them do the Browns. Oh, okay, okay, okay, okay. That all white,
Starting point is 00:48:26 that all white Penn State and that all white Browns uniform? When you think of the Browns, you think of that jersey that's in that picture. Okay, yeah you right. And look at the helmet. Ain't got no decal. Yeah. You right. Stadium now, I had played in that
Starting point is 00:48:42 stadium and oh my goodness, almost 20, oh, almost 30 years. So I don't know what it, it was fairly new when we played in it. Right. So it seemed, but obviously they looking to build a new stadium now, so clearly it's outdated.
Starting point is 00:49:00 The Browns offense, okay yeah. Jacksonville's defense, coaching, Cowboys. What's wrong with Vegas? I don't know. I didn't understand that one. Fans, Chargers ain't got no fans. What the Chargers should have done, Ocho, was renovated that stadium. I don't know, first of all,
Starting point is 00:49:20 you don't have the fan base that's gonna follow you. If I'm a Chargers fan, I'm not driving, I'm not driving no two hours. Well, it's only like 90 minutes. That's if everything is perfect. If the interstate opens up, it's 90 minutes. But it's probably about three and a half, four hours. Chargers ain't got no fan base like that.
Starting point is 00:49:42 They don't. I'm being honest. They should have just re- the money that they put to go into SoFi so they could be second class to the Rams. They should have just put that money into that stadium and built that right there. And the mascot. What the Raiders used to have, I don't know if that's- Who was the Raiders mascot? It used to be the black guy, the pirate guy with the shoulder pads.
Starting point is 00:50:08 Oh yeah. Hey hold on. Also, do the Chargers and the Rams have the same owner? No, they played in the same building, SoFi Stadium. Stan Cronkite owns the Rams. And, um... What's the guy named on the charges, Ash? Him and his sister, Dean Spanos, and his sister,
Starting point is 00:50:36 they own it. But Cronkite, he owns the avalanche, he owns the nuggets, and he owns Arsenal. I think he owns a uh, uh, the nuggets and he owns a arsenal. He owns, I think he owns, he owns a soccer team too. I think it's arsenal. Hey, hey, Tronky smooth as hell, man. When you meet him, man, he fly, he fly. He fly is smooth, dude.
Starting point is 00:51:00 Yeah. Yeah. Rapid. Oh yeah, he owned the soccer team. Yeah, Colorado Rapids. Yeah. The volume.
