Oh, Joe,
Joe, Kevin Stefanski says
Sjorda Sanders is not getting any first
team reps like Dylan Gabriel.
Like Dylan Gabriel did when
Joe Flacco was the starter.
Stapansky said it's because Gabriel being young,
you want to make sure he's getting a lot of reps.
It's different when you have a bet like Joe.
Oh, Joe, what you think?
Is this normal protocol?
Hell, no, you know that ain't normal protocol.
You should be doing the same exact thing.
You were doing with Joe Flacco and Dylan Gabriel.
Now Dylan Gabriel is starting.
You should be doing the same thing you were doing with Dylan Gabriel and Joe Flacco
were goddamn Shadour.
It's a bunch of trash.
And all that is telling me is that Shadour is not closer to getting the starting job
until Dylan Gabriel shows that he just can't get
the job done. And that's why I say
they're probably maybe
towards the end of the season, maybe laugh three weeks.
Dylan Gabriel at some point, teams are going to force
them, you're going to have to beat us with your arm.
We're not going to allow
QJ to run up and down the field.
They're going to play, they're going to stack nine in the box.
You're going to have to prove that you can beat us with your arm.
That's it.
You're right. I mean, I think, look,
everywhere I've been, even
when we had veteran quarterbacks or whatever,
he'd get one or two reps.
I know.
Obviously, normally, I don't know how it was, but we had 10 plays.
We ran 10 plays per period.
Offense got 10, defense got 10.
Right.
Offense got 10.
Defense got 10.
Okay, special teams do what they do, whether it was punt, punt return, kick return,
whatever the case may be.
And then guess what, Ocho, another 10, another 10, another 10, number 10, so forth and so.
But you mean to tell me, Shadur can't get one rep, two ref with the starters?
I mean, out of 10 reps, he can't get one.
What would that do?
That would be wasting time.
Getting one or two reps with the start of this wasting time.
And obviously, on Stefansky's side, also, it can give Dylan Gabriel some type of, what's the word I'm looking for?
Some type of security.
Okay, my job is not in jeopardy.
I'm not playing as well as I think I should be playing.
So I'm getting all the reps to make sure that those reps actually count in practice.
And once I get into the games, I'm familiar.
familiar with those situations.
Okay.
That's all.
I can see it from that point, too, you know, as a coach,
wanting him to get all the reps so he can get a little bit more comfortable with
the situations based on, it ain't the preseason them on.
It ain't the preseason.
I can't see.
Listen, they plan the goddamn Patriots this goddamn Sunday.
Mm-hmm.
And that defense, man, look here.
All that check down here and check down there and trying to stay with them.
They're sitting on everything.
They're going to be sitting on that.
everything every everything hey look i can't see it i don't see how he can't get no rip man you don't
know what's going to happen this the NFL bro you one play away one so now when the guy goes
in he ain't never about because he ain't get no refs you're talking about what he can i can't say
joe i agree with you i'm not saying oh joe you split it five and five but he can't get one to
two reps in a 10 play series yeah i understand what you mean i understand what you mean he
even if it ain't nothing but a handoff.
That's what I'm saying.
It don't make no sense to me, man.
A handoff?
Yeah, even if there ain't no but a handoff.
Yeah, I'm sure, I'm sure should do it would like to throw the ball.
But just, hey, let him see the blocking with the first team old.
Let him see the mesh point with the first team running back.
Things like, it's simple.
It seems simple.
Let him take a snap from the guy that's going to be in the game.
I look and I get it and I understand like you said Ocho that you know Gabriel needs a lot of reps
but I don't think I don't think you study his growth I don't think you harm him in any way
if you give Shadoor one to two reps in a 10 play series I don't hey I'm with you I'm with you
I'm with you because like like we saying man it's the NFL you never know when you're going
need Shador it's a long season hey look man you get him out there and he ain't had no
else with none of the guys.
Now it's going to seem foreign to him.
I see he still putting in the work.
But man, listen, you got to get that man
a couple of riles in practice, man, come on now.
Because at the end of the day,
everybody looked good in practice.
I want to know when you get in the game.
But if you haven't done it in the game,
it's hard to come in off the, just come in and just go.
Yeah.
Because it's a thousand,
it's a thousand times faster in the game
than what it is in practice.
And guys be moving in practice.
But boy, that thing is warp speed come game time.
You come in that game, them guys are already lathered up.
They've been, they didn't already play it a quarter or two.
One plea.
Oh, yeah, they're hunting.
They're hunting.
Ocho, Joe, Joe, another day, another bizarre statement from Tua at the presser.
Let's take a listen to what Tua had to say today, Ocho.
Yeah, I think with that, some of it has to do with being able to see guys with their guys also up front and our guys.
And I'm not the tallest guy in the back there either.
So being able to see and then sometimes when that happens, you don't want to just throw it blindly and you got to progress.
So I think that that had some merit to reasons as to why that happened for Waddle.
I think I think you're referring to Jalen Waldo not getting any targets in the previous game
that just played against the Browns.
Now, women?
No, I don't think so.
No, not any.
I don't think he even had any catches.
But that goes to say, two is not that tall.
Well, hell, neither is Kylie Murray.
Well, neither is Baker Mayfield.
Neither is some other quarterback that is needed to Doug Flutie.
I mean, Russell Wilson.
Russell Wilson.
But all of them find a way to get.
get the job done. So we can't
use, oh, the officer line with all, oh, the
D-line, I can't see. It's all about anticipation.
Four targets, one catch,
Ocho. Yep. Come on, man.
Wow, but four targets, one catch.
Mm-hmm.
Joe. That's your best weapon,
outside of Devon Aitian.
That's your best weapon, so you
have to be able to get him the ball.
Tyree Kill is gone. Who's the next
speedster that can move the chains?
Who's your next home run?
Darren is out also. He's strained a
peck muscle. Yeah.
I mean,
Ocho, what y'all got going on down there in Miami?
I don't know, Joe.
I don't know, Joe, I don't know, Joe.
Honestly, to me, at this point,
I say you blow the whole thing up.
Oh, they got that's going to happen.
I say blow the whole thing up and just started.
I bet that lady was in, um, in Georgia.
When she told that police officer,
we arrested, you're about to lose your job.
You are about to lose your job.
I don't, I don't like,
going to talk himself out of that job, Ocho.
Yeah.
Do you're making some money over that, oh, that's okay.
They're going to eat that.
A team that's worth $7 billion, or $5.5 million.
That's a tax write-off.
Ocho, why would you make an excuse to like, oh, yeah,
because, you know, I'm not the tallest guy back there and they're not the tallest.
What?
I don't know.
I guarantee you, Ocho, when he went in for his interviews,
he didn't mention his height one time.
he didn't mention one time
that he has a problem
seeing over lineman
seeing down the field
what do you think he
what do you think the chances are
Ocho when he was going in
on his interviews
that he brought
he mentioned his height
no
they got they got passing lanes
for a reason
you anticipate
you anticipate throws for a reason
he Tua is a very
very very good
above average
rhythm
quarterback. His
anticipatory skills
are really good. That's how he plays.
That's how he runs the offense.
It just seemed like
Ocho, the more he talks, the worse it gets.
And I understand as a quarterback, Ocho, you got to have
that pressure. Normally it's on Wednesday or Thursday.
Yeah. Some quarterback, some of them have it
on Thursday, some of them have it on Wednesday.
So he has to talk. He's the starting
quarterback.
Boy, he has not doing himself any favor.
Shouldn't he have some type of training and what to say?
He should have the training already.
He went to Alabama.
Alabama, make sure you get all that.
Hey, look, you got to cut out the excuses, man,
and have some accountability at the end of the day.
At the end of the day.
That's what it comes down to.
That's it.
That's tough.
Just say you got to play better, man.
That's,
ta-da.
That's it.
Just say you got to play better.
about them. And stop, you know, dancing around and coming up with all these excuses.
Just he just, I mean, like I said, the more he talks, the worse it gets, he threw
his teammates under the bus. And the thing was, he threw him under the bus after he had
one of his worst games of the year. If you can believe that, because all of them ain't
none of them been really good. And then he follows, he follows that up with another stinker.
Yeah. Yeah. So back to back, excuse me, back to back week, three interception games.
And that's what we're supposed to follow?
Well, he got 10 on the season so far, huh?
I think so.
I'm assuming he would be leading the NFL
and interceptions.
No, I think Gino got that one.
Oh, shit.
I say, I think Gino got that on a lot.
I see, I seen what coach was like,
I hope he don't get 10.
He might.
Yeah.
Oh, Tua and, uh, Gino are tied.
How many?
Both of them got 10.
Damn.
Damn.
I just
at some point in time
you know you just have to be like you know what
you got to do the presser
because you're the starting quarterback
but they're going to be a time mocho
if he keep playing like this
guess what he won't have to do it
yours or Zach Wilson
will be doing the presser
right damn man
because they can't because you can't
I understand he makes
a lot of money
right
but you got 52 other guys in that locker room
mocho that you have an account for now yeah and they see he not playing well and it's a lot
easy when you're not playing well and we don't like you because you already did some slick is
yeah you know what i'm saying oh yeah there's only one way to overcome this and i mean for
for two a sake and that that's what you play now they might not look at you the same as a teammate
anymore but if you continue to play bad it's going to get even worse and so i don't see how he play
better, Ocho.
It's not, Ocho, if you look at, if you look at this team, I mean, they needed Tyreek
to open things up.
Tyreek could take the top off.
It gave everybody else an opportunity to work up underneath.
Right.
So there was so much space.
It's kind of like you on the court with Steph Curry.
They're going to be a lot of space because they're going to be trying to crowd him.
Right.
Right.
Well, with no step on the court, who I, why I need the crowd?
I can condense it.
Now, I ain't got to worry about nobody.
Right.
Same thing with no.
I read, I'm not nearly as
worried about Waddle as I once was.
Right. And then who else I got?
They don't have a very good offensive line.
Toa, Tua is not fast.
Hell, if I shut down the run, where are he going?
If I play couple five, Ocho, if I play two men,
where two are going?
Who are he out running?
And like you said, he already said,
he's not the tallest guy.
And the fact that he's not a dual threat, Joe,
You know, he has to be that much better.
He'll do a threat.
He'll be able to throw a pick or fumble it.
So he'll do a threat.
Oh, I don't you.
You mean running and passing the football.
Okay, I thought you meant Drew.
Hey, that's messed up.
Hey, he can get better, man.
It's still early in the season.
All that.
I don't, but how many times have you been sacked?
I don't know if his offensive line is that good.
And he ain't much better.
Oh, it looked like one time they just let the defense just come in and say, yeah,
since you snitching.
Hey, they act like that in football, huh?
Yeah.
You doing all this talking to the media.
Yeah, we're going to let these pass rushes get right on up in there.
Well, he don't got bench.
So he might have more.
How many times did they sack yours once he came in the game?
Because they put them on his head, too.
Well, he's still the starter, though, ain't he?
Yeah.
I don't know for how much longer, Joe, but he is.
Oh, so they put him back in this week?
They haven't said.
Well, he did say.
He said he's the starter, and his expectation is he doesn't throw 10 picks.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, well, hell, you're making 50 men a year.
He ain't got no choice but to start.
Yellow.
Yeah.
Right.
So, I mean, there are a lot of quarterbacks that have been sacked more than Tua
that don't turn the ball over, like Tua.
so you can't you can't turn the ball over and take a bunch of sacks
in fact who we got this who we got because a lot of times ocho we're saying okay he's taking
sacks to avoid turnovers right you turning the ball over still it's just I think for me
it's just going to be a situation he got to go Ocho hey we we man we got the we got the
Falcons this week.
Oh, yeah. Y'all, what's your call about
what you call, uh, uh, uh, Bejong about
to go for like, like, uh, 150.
In Atlanta? In Atlanta?
Uh, yes. In Atlanta.
Hey, hey, them boys, they're in nothing nice here in Atlanta,
why? Oh, they're on that turf. They got something.
And then it looked like we got the Ravens right after that in a short
week, Thursday night. Lamar be back on it. Yep. He was,
he was practicing. Yeah.
Good look. Oh, Joe. Joe. Joe. Joe, Joe, you're a lot.
like this, the Cowboys have reached out to the Raiders about the potential trade for Max Crosby
or Tray Wingo.
Uh-oh.
Yo, would you like to see your squad make this trade?
Man, come on, hey, look.
Hey, y'all, one thing, y'all got to get, listen, listen, okay, Ocho, y'all got to give
us some problems now because we've been doing our thing, all right?
You tighten us up a little more on defense, we can end up.
We can get Crosby, man.
Oh, it's, it's going to be a real problem being now.
Well, listen, yeah, we need somebody who regless abandon on that defense in, man, who can help us
out get to that quarterback man yeah yeah the boys with him the boys with the pressure that he can
generate you know parry with sam williams they got them they got they got a they'll have a nice
little squad now the boys looking good man y'all know jay took a lot of heat for not signing parsons so
he makes he making some moves around now oh he makes him but you do realize to get cross but
you do them two first round picks you got to give them up yeah i see that not that that
don't make sense. You're going to give up your two
first round picks, right? They go get
Matt Crodby. When you left one of the, you let
one of the younger, better pass rushers.
He's two years younger.
It makes no sense, Joe. You could just take
care of your first pass. What's the price?
He was cheaper, though. Yeah, that's what I'm
saying. He's $12 million a year cheaper.
Okay. Hey, we got
this high power offense over here, man. We need
something back up on this defense end. We're putting
up 40%. Come on now.
Y'all need one cent apiece, whether it be
a D.N, whether it be a huge
detackle. I mean, hell, you could even get somebody really good on the back end,
you know, another superstar corner that might be on the market.
Ooh. Huh? Who? Oh, Trayvon.
I don't know. I don't know if he's going to play this week. Jerry was kind of mum
with Trayvon and whether or not he's going to play this week. Yeah. I mean,
there is a lot of speculation of what transpired, what caused a concussion. I don't know. I don't feel
speculating right um everybody said i mean everybody in dallas or a lot of people in the chat
seem to they must have been they must be at been at the house yeah uh when the alleged
incident supposedly happened but uh if i that i told you last year oh cho if i was the eagles
i'd have reached out if i was the if i was the uh the lions i would have reached out okay
to the raiders right but you know the raiders might would just say listen the raiders probably
going to say no. Why?
Max Crosby is the Raiders
identity. Yep. Mac Crosby
is the face of that organization.
I mean, the chances of them
actually let them go is slim to none
unless the package deal
is absolutely worth it
for the foreseeable future
as far as picks.
Two first round picks?
Oh, they got
what did they, oh look, they gave, think
about what the packets gave up to get Michael
Parsons. Two first round picks
and a former Pro Bowl player in Kenny Clark.
Yeah.
I think they'll get up off.
Yeah, probably.
What's the deadline, huh?
November 4th.
Oh, that's right around the corner.
Uh-huh.
Damn.
What, two weeks?
Hey, hey, them cowboys.
The boys in Benin, man.
Hey, they look good, boy.
That offense, man, Jesus Christ.
Yeah, they look good.
I can't um I ain't even gonna lie got cd came back looking good pickings Williams look good
I think he's like second in the league second or third in the league in Russian yeah
he's playing he played they got two they got two ones at wide out
DAC is dealing the back is look better than at any point in time in his career and he's had
some seasons and which you throw the ball but the way he starts spinning it around
hey hey Dakota Prescott ain't playing man
Hey, look, yeah, man.
He looked like he in great shape, too.
Okay, oh, yeah.
Like, he, he lost some weight.
Yeah.
Hey, hey, he got, I mean, you go back and look at it.
He got married and got a family.
Ooh.
Look, there he go.
There you go.
Hey, remember what I told you, right?
Yeah.
You notice how everyone that's putting the ring on their finger and get married,
showing I have structs, I have discipline.
All right, this is my foundation.
I'm going to build from here on out.
Yeah.
You notice that everybody is flirting.
right now i hear what you listen we don't we don't have to wait two years i'm gonna pick
up what you're putting down now oh okay stay hey joe i'm gonna hey he put it down i'm gonna pick it up
we ain't got away two years number three overall draft pick vjah edgum had one hell of a rookie
debut tonight against the celtics edgecombe 14 points in the first quarter broke lebrons
rookie record most points in the first quarter in an NBA debut and he wasn't done 34 points
are the most points in the Sixers rookie debut surpassing Alan Iverson's record of 30 in 1996 against
the buck.
Escombe 34 Tyrese maxi fouled it.
Joel and Bede only played 20 minutes.
He still.
But he had had four points.
But those two, that back court went crazy.
Say it with me.
They went crazy.
Tyrese maxi played 41 minutes.
He was 13 of 24, 7 of 9 from 3, 7 of them from the free throw line, 40 points.
Edgecom played 42 minutes.
He was 13 of 26, 5 of 13.
Three of six from the free throw line for 34.
So the back court combined for 74 of the 117.
That ain't it, Ocho.
Hey, um, um, um,
And he looked like he's laboring, man.
He don't, he, I know he won't want one for nine, but he, he, he, he, he don't look explosive anymore.
You know what I mean?
Joe, you know they can only go in your knees so many times.
They can only go in your back so many times before.
And that's a, that's a big man.
It is.
You, oh, I mean, Joe, you know that.
You know getting up and down that court trying to play those minutes when you, he rehabbed.
You know to be in shape you got to train.
Yeah.
Rehabing does rehabbing just gets you back to.
where you were. Training takes you
to the next level. He hasn't been
able to train. He's been rehabbing
just trying to get back to the
point. Go ahead, Joe.
I understand that. And you know
where his body does look good, he does look
like he in shape. He just doesn't look
explosive. Now, I'm going
to tell you out something about this VJ kid,
this rookie. That man said him and his
mama lived off a generator. He planned for a different
reason. You hear me? Yeah.
I'm for real, Ocho.
Hey, you look at that boy, body. He
like a sprinter out there. He looked like he run track. That man is in elite shape.
He is an elite athlete and he's going to be perfect for the sixers. That man put up
26 shots tonight, man. As a rookie, Ocho, playing with M.B. and Maxie. Hold on. I got a question
for you, Joe. What's up? What do Paul George fit in this mix?
Uh-oh. Them two guards. Well, first of, you can't take this young boy out. He, he, I know. You can't
take him out because in summer league he showed promise in the preseason he showed promise and now
first game of the season he's came out he's competed at a high level man played 42 minutes man
I'm talking about he he he bawled out bro like you can't play more minutes than anybody yeah
you can't taper that down you want him to continue to be aggressive to continue to assert himself
on both ends of the floor because he can dominate both ends of the floor he's a hell of a two-way
player I love him I love him oh hold on Joe hold on now hold on he's a two-way player he was
dominant the night as good as he looks
all the multiple things
that he can do when Paul
George comes back young bull is going to have to go
to the bench no he ain't he ain't
whoever this barlow dude is up here
he's going to have to go he's going to have to go to the bench
and Ubre is going to have to move to the four or something they're not
taking that boy out that line up
now he's the number three pick
yeah he ain't coming out of that line up he ain't going to
no he ain't coming off no bench okay okay okay okay
yeah he can't he hey hey he doing exactly
what they're going to do it and that's be aggressive
right
Make plays on both fins of the floor.
And, man, look, he plays great off of Maxi.
Like, this young back court here got some promise, bro.
And they scored 42 points in the fourth quarter.
Yeah, they weren't playing.
They weren't playing them boy NASA and night.
And that was in Boston.
That was on the road.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yep.
Well, they got me hype for basketball season, boy.
Oh, man, put that ball down.
Man, listen, that's like nasty, boy.
He's nasty.
Ocho, you got chill.
Hey, Joe.
Hey, Joe, let go to it.
Let's go to a hog game, Joe.
I mean, say Les.
Which one you want to go to?
I don't know.
You know, I got to be in Atlanta Tuesday.
Tuesday?
Yeah, I fly in Monday.
I got to film something.
I got to film something with Cam.
Let me see.
Let me see who they.
Let me see who they.
Oh, Joe.
Hey, man, we go to a game and sit corside.
Get some hot dogs and stuff.
Wimby doing a number on the, on the, on the, uh, the, uh, the Mavericks.
Wimby got, Wimby got 31, 11 or 17, 31 points, 10 rebounds, three blocks, a steel and assist.
Or they play, they play the math.
What did they play the math?
Hey, that's what I'm gonna say.
Man, Cooper Flag 1A, he had zero points at the half.
He won for eight, two points.
Minus 22.
Can I tell you y'all something?
I'm being honest with y'all.
I like Cooper Flag game.
Yeah.
And I know Jay Kidd is going to get the most out of him,
but I don't know about him playing this point guard, guys.
No, no, no.
I don't know.
That ain't what he is.
The point, why he not at the four?
Man, they got 80.
Anthony Davis is at the four.
They got P.
Who the hell at the five?
They got, they got, they got Derek lively the second at the five.
They got PG at the three.
They got AD at the four.
They got Klupp and flag at the point, and they got Clay at the two.
That's not right at all.
That's not right.
They need a point guard.
Hey, listen, it's third quarter.
He'll minus 23.
Mm-hmm.
Damn.
It's the same thing with the Rockets.
The Rockets need a point guard.
Yeah.
They do.
Thompson, I look, I like Armand Thompson.
He's phenomenal player, but he's not a point.
Yeah, they stroking their ball up to court yesterday, man.
Hey, hey, they whole goddamn lineup.
Everybody's 6-11.
6-7-0, yeah, Armand-Thompson is the shortest.
Yeah, everybody else, 6-16.
11, Shungung, KD,
Porter,
yeah, Jabari, Smith. Yeah, Jabari, Smith,
and, uh, and, uh, Stephen Adams.
And boy, that boy, tall as hell, man.
Joe, how tall you here, Joe?
Six, eight.
See, golly.
Hey, I thought I was tall at six-fold, man.
Those boys are cheap, right?
Who six-fold?
Me.
Hey, Alano, who tell you this boy?
Hey, dope.
Hey, Joe, I'm six-fold.
Joe, you never see me in person?
Oh, Joe, man, we just got back on here, man.
I like hanging out with y'all, man, but you got to stop it, man.
Joe, you can never see me in person?
Cut it out.
Joe, tell me, cut it out.
What's wrong with her?
You got a chill, my boy.
I'm six-fold, Joe.
Okay, all right, all right.
Hey, I feel like it, though.
I play like it, too.
I don't know about all that.
I've seen you play.
You need to chill.
And that was one game.
Hey, Joe, I was out there for Cilil.
like magic.
No, you're not quite like magic.
Magic.
Oh, hey, Joe, Ocho, the vibes surrounding LeBron's situation with the Lakers have not been the best, per Javon Buhaw.
The vibes with the situation have not been the best, I'll say.
So again, I don't really want to go too much down that road.
But, yeah, I mean, thought there were times just looking at the huddle or looking at the
bench that he wasn't engaged as he typically is.
when he's out.
Oh, Joe, Joe, let me take it with you first.
Joe, what going on?
Man, Brun looked focus over there, man.
You don't, hey, look, he got that poker face over there.
You don't know what he got going on in their head.
You know what I mean?
Hey, he can't do nothing.
The man, balanced sciatica.
What y'all want from him, man?
They wanted to be jumping up and down to talk about,
well, if he can do all that, he should be in the game.
You know what they're going to say that, Joe.
Yeah.
Hey, I don't know if y'all know what their psych, what their sciatica is.
I know what it's like.
Man, listen, you won't even be able to run or bend over
or do nothing with that sciatica.
It's not a thing.
Absolutely not.
Yeah.
They say, well, they're not going to evaluate him for another two weeks.
Yeah.
So they're planning mid-November.
So two weeks is damn near, is what, the beginning of November.
So, and then he's going to have to ramp it up, have to play,
and try to get, you know, get some on-court conditioning.
Damn.
So he might miss.
What do you think of Joe, the first 10 to 15 games?
Easy, easy, easy.
But you know what?
Looking at him over there, he do look like he's still in some shape.
Now, I know he's working behind the scenes.
Oh, yeah, for sure.
He ain't coming back.
He's going to always be in shape.
He ain't coming back to be no average braw now.
He's going to come back and really, you know, get to it.
So they definitely could have used him last night.
Yeah.
Hey, Joe, they can't play defense.
They can't, man.
They can't play defense.
I mean, you got, you got, you got, look.
Look, Luca tried, but Luca can't play no defense.
Austin Reeves really can't play no defense
because Austin Reed realized one thing,
playing defense won't get me paid.
Putting ball in basket gets me $30 million.
It gets me $40 million.
And he's going to get a $200 million deal.
Oh, yeah.
It's going to be, it's going to be,
it should be a little easier for him that Brun ain't out there.
You know, I would figure him and Luca.
Obviously, we know Luca's going to be Luca.
But, yeah, Luca had 43, 12, and 9.
But look, he'll walk in bucket.
Luca, you can't stop him.
He can do it.
I mean, he can get to where he want to go.
He got to, he's going to play at his pace.
You cannot speed him up.
He got a big body.
He can play through contact.
That's his defense.
To try to where you dive on the other.
There you go.
His offense is going to be his defense.
Hey, I don't know what y'all think this is, but yeah,
his offense is what's going to make him a hell of a player
and what's going to offset his defense for sure.
Jaya Morant tonight.
They won 122, 128 over the Pelicans.
Jha, 35 points.
A steel, three assists, three rebounds.
Jaron Jackson had 18.
Wells had 14.
Jacques Laundale had 10.
They got Prosper, came up the bench, gave him 10.
Coward gave him.
14 for the
Pelicans. Herb Jones had
17. Zion gave you 27.
Trey Murphy the 3rd
gave you 13.
Jordan Poole gave you 17.
I guess that's Sadiq Bay came up to bench.
He gave you 13
and then Fares
gave you 17.
Hey.
When you look at this, man,
y'all can say what you won't.
But if John Moran can stay healthy,
because I'm going to
take y'all back to the playoffs, Arcan Ocho.
They lost them first two games at O'KC.
But the third game in Memphis, Memphis was up 30 points for Jock got hurt,
and they walked in O'KC, walked that lead.
Walked him down, they did.
So we don't know how the tables would have turned if that man would have stayed healthy.
He is electric, and I love watching him play.
I just want him stay healthy because he could potentially be in the MVP conversation.
Man, he keep it up.
I know it's just first game, but he looked good.
out that man putting pressure on them boys yeah um that well that's the thing i mean look we know it is
the thing is because of his body type and because he plays above the rim that damn court hard
and he falls an awful lot now i know he wear a body i know he wear a pad suit yeah but that's still
a damn i mean as much as much as he puts as much pressure as he puts on the defense yeah getting to
the rim elevated that's a i mean with their frame he got a possibility yeah
Yeah, yeah.
With that frame, he's going to be subject to injury.
Yeah.
He'll thin-framed individual.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You know, him and AI got the same goddamn frame.
Not the same skill set.
I'm just saying the same frame and they always hitting the flow.
Yeah.
He looked good though, man.
Hey, look, we got to get Zion some credit too because when he out.
Hey.
And he held the 27 points, nine, rebounds, five assists, five steals.
When he's playing now, that's what he's giving you.
We, look, we, ain't nobody ever questioned his ability.
We just question his availability.
Right.
Right.
That's the only thing.
That's the only thing we've ever, that's the only thing that we could ever question.
Yeah.
Should he, like, be a better rebounder?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, I think he should average double-digit rebounds.
Yeah.
If Charles Barkley is 6'4 can average double-digit rebounds,
Zion you can too, because you are more explosive, left-handed Charles Barkley.
I know he can.
That's what you are.
Now, Charles taught himself how to shoot,
mid-range, shoot the three.
See, people just look at Charles
and all they see him is talking.
People don't realize how good he,
how good Charles Barkley was.
Very.
Was a doubt.
People don't realize.
Charles Barkley was hell.
Yeah.
He led the league,
he led the league and rebounded at six foot four.
The smallest man ever to league the league get rebounded,
which is crazy.
He was a bad boy, man.
Boy, me and Berkeley the same height.
Oh, yeah, that's crazy.
Hey, you know, I forgot to ask.
We didn't went past it already, right?
Hey, Joe and Unk, y'all ever had cicadas?
What is that?
Cicator is an insect.
The 17-year cicadas.
No, you mean sciatica.
Yeah.
What is called?
Cyanic.
It's a sciatic.
Sciatica.
What I called it?
Cicators.
Oh, my bad.
That's an insect.
I ain't never
have it, Ocho, but I got
a partner who had it.
Yeah. Yeah, and
he played ball and
he had to sit out a lot of time.
Damn. Yeah. It's like a
sharp shooting pain from
like your glute. From your low
back through your glute all the way down to
your foot. Go down to your side and make your feet
numb. Yeah. Sometimes, don't you
I've heard, I've never seen it. I've heard
people have it so bad. They can't
control body function.
What?
Yeah.
Damn.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Cicadia is an insect.
Yeah.
Make a bunch of noise.
I'm confused.
17 years.
The 17 year cicadas, they come once every 17 years.
In Cincinnati, yeah, yeah, yeah.
They caught me one year.
But I don't know why I thought it just sound the same.
It sounds similar, so my bad.
Yeah.
Yeah, I know what he meant.
I don't been around him so long, so long.
I know exactly what he's talking about.
Just like when he said George Flintstone, I know he meant Fred.
He just got the two complete fuel between George Jensen and Fred Flintstone.
I know exactly what he meant.
I messed up.
Damn.
Yeah, I know exactly what you meant.
Yeah, I did.
Hey, boy, this basketball season got me hype, boy.
Yeah, you know, hey, it's just like when you're old people,
when your grandparents used to talk,
talk. Yeah.
And you knew exactly what they were saying.
Yeah. Even if they were wrong.
Exactly.
Hey.
Basketball.
Uh, Joe,
Ocho, the NBA will
return to painting
the Larry O'Brien trophy
at center court during the finals
per Shams. This will be the
first finals with the league, with the
large trophy painted on the court since
2009. Why did they take it up?
I don't know.
I enjoy, especially playing, you know, when the playoffs come,
you've got the playoffs on the court.
Now, it's regular game in the playoffs.
I don't like that, man.
Bring the playoffs back.
Put the playoffs back on the court.
Right.
Finals get here, put the big trophy out there.
That's what we want to experience, those iconic moments.
I'm glad they're bringing it back, though.
I didn't notice it was gone.
Yeah, I did.
I did.
Because, look, when I was watching the finals, like, it looked like a regular game.
Yeah.
Okay.
Come on, we ain't got no playoffs on the floor.
the finals or nothing like I'm used to seeing that so also so you you want the trophy in the in the
middle in the middle yeah yeah right yeah right okay okay yeah man dress it up
get us the bells and whistles man come on now I like it yeah yeah this year I know I know it's early
who you're your favorite uh Joe and um to win the finals this year who we I ain't gonna lie to you
man I don't know I don't know who coming out the east it could be the I if you make
me pick, I would probably say
the Knicks or the Cavs, because
I don't think Boston can get there without
Tatum, and I definitely don't think
the Paces can get
there without Halliburton, and now
Turner left and went to Milwaukee. Who knows?
Maybe Milwaukee. Maybe they do have
Yonis. They do
have Miles Turner. I don't know
who the guards are.
But, you know,
Yonis, you know, Yonis is going to give
you 30, 13, and 6.
Damn.
Miles Turner should be able to give you 17 and 10.
Who you got coming out to West then?
I ain't going to lie.
I got OKC, man.
Again?
Yeah, I'm going to tell you why, Ocho.
When you watch them boys play, man, they don't play like everybody else.
They're 94 feet.
They assume that ball going to hoop.
They pick you up full court and they weigh you down.
I kind of like similar.
I know the Rockers probably should have won that game yesterday.
But I thought, no, the Wagon should have lost the regulation
because KD called time out
and the referee didn't give it to it.
You're right.
But I love how OKC play, man.
They just relentless Ocho on both hands, bro.
You know what I love about them?
Everybody knows their role.
Man, and they look like nobody's saying,
hey, nobody challenging Shea told my man,
I'm just as good as Shea.
I need me shots.
But they got six, they got six guys,
legit guys that can play defense and they can rotate them they're never they're not going to be
on the court at any point in time where they don't have at least three wing defenders right
and when you look at it they look like a team who enjoy being around each other man they can
you can you tell man that chemistry and continuity that they have like oh charles i agree
it don't matter who gets to play of the game the whole team standing there listen to the interview
the post game interview like for me
I think that's dope. I love that.
It just looked like they really enjoy
being around one another. And I think
with that alone, that's going to take them a long
way, bro. That's going to be a long way.
Tonight,
the bucks win
133, 120 over
the Washington Wizards.
Yannis, 37 points,
14 rebounds, 5 assists.
Miles Turner
had 11 and 8.
Grand Trent Jr. had 17.
Chris Porter, Jr.
10.
Kevin Porter.
Kevin Porter, yeah, Kevin Porter.
Had 10. Green had 11.
Tashon Prince had 11.
And Kyle Coosma had 12.
Okay, Coosma. There you go.
What?
Cusma came off the bench.
Yeah.
Hey, Tachan Prince.
Torian Prince.
Torian Prince.
Oh.
Hey, listen, you look at, Tashon, your age, bro.
He ain't out there.
Yeah, yeah.
Now, hey, hey, look at Yonis, man.
Yonnas just, oh, my God.
16 or 26.
Hey, hey, Joe, four and seven from the free throw line.
And he coming straight down here, Joe.
Yep.
Ocho, the man, 611, man.
611, except for it, you know, like, what he is doing, you know, obviously before Wimby got into the league.
Right.
never seen nothing like that and now that wimby is in the league now he's doing something
that we've never seen but yon is man he ain't gonna be denied now he ain't going out without
no fight now yeah that man gonna come to play every night hey hey excuse my lack of knowledge right
go ahead yep but would it be unfair or would it be fair to compare a young amari
Stard Meyer and the Greek Freak?
Or is that, am I completely off?
They got two, they both ferocious
when he comes to attacking the rim.
The rim, right.
But Janus is more of a ball handler.
Yes.
Marry was more of a post.
But Marry was looking, he stayed in the pick and roll.
Yeah, you got to realize he had two-time league MVP, Steve Nash.
One of the best pick and roll point guards to ever play.
Right.
So basically, they were John Stockton and Carl Malone.
Yeah, hey, look, but before Nash got there, you know, he had Stefan Marbury and he
won a rookie at a year over Yal Mean.
Like, Amari was ahead of his time, bro.
Like, he was relentless, Ocho.
Yeah.
Like, like, I don't think, I don't think people give him a lot of credit, but the man came
out of high school, bro, just with the attitude, like, it don't matter, I'm going through
you, not around you.
I'm going through you.
Right.
Like, that's my dog, bro.
He's one of the best that will play the game,
especially at that position.
He was unguaritable, bro.
Unguaritable.
It's funny.
It's funny I saw Marri Stardemeyer playing high school.
He played in Miami, though.
They played Miami Northwestern, at Miami Northwestern.
Obviously, I didn't know how any idea who he was back then.
Yeah.
Obviously, dominated, right?
Yeah.
And so I remember watching his game, the little bit of basketball I watched back then,
and then seeing the Greek free play, and all I can think about is, damn,
I'm already starting out of going downhill.
If you're in the way, I'm dunking over you.
You better part the Red Sea.
And watching the Greek Freak, you're in the way, I'm dunking over you.
You're bad.
Yeah, hey, Lake Wells, Lake Wells, Florida.
That's how he used to hollas.
Lake Wells, Florida.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah, that's my guy, man.
But, yeah, hey, boy, you see him coming out through the land,
Ocho, you better part the Red Sea, man.
You know, hey, hey, he coming with bad intentions.
Bad every time.
You already know it.
You already, but yeah, him and Greek.
freak when it comes to finishing an attack of their rim yeah same bro like relentlessly this don't
care they don't care who down now yeah remind me of myself joe oh here we go that's how you
used to do it yeah you know when i when i used to at the junior high school you know i used to play i
used to play on a 10 foot rim okay what happened i mean i used to look at the greek freak or like
a maristotomay no you ain't you didn't look like that oh joe
I'm saying I was a little heavyset.
I was a little heavyset back then, back in 87.
No, no, no, no, we ain't, we ain't going.
We ain't going on.
I got to hold you accountable, Ocho.
You got to stop this, for real.
Hey, Joe, ask about me, man.
Al-A-Patter junior high.
Al-A-Pala Junior High.
Asked him how it was on them courts, boy.
You were getting down.
Yeah, I love something.
The man.
Yeah, yeah, I would love something.
I mean the sports you played, I'm in sports you played in school, Ocho.
Soccer.
baseball, basketball.
You did this in high school?
You did all that in high school?
Yeah, what?
Yeah.
What do you do, Ocho?
I mean, Joe.
He said he plays soccer, baseball, basketball, and football in high school.
I don't know where the man line, but if I had to...
No, no, no.
Joe, I do all...
Joe, you know the seasons overlap.
Huh?
Football and basketball.
They overlap, bro.
Oh, no, I was like, I was like Dion.
Like, Dion played for the Braves and the fact.
Alkins, that's how I wasn't high school.
Man, we would have heard about that.
You don't think we would have heard about that?
I mean, God damn, Joe, I went to the goddamn high school in the 80s.
How are you going to hear about that?
You ain't with no high school in no damn 80s.
Yeah, they know.
I went to the high, I graduated high schools in the 80s.
What's wrong with this bad?
But yeah, look, like I said, I didn't, I didn't even notice that they had taken the
the, the logo, the Larry O'Brien trophy off the center.
But yeah, they should.
I don't know why they took it away.
Maybe were people slipping on it or something?
I don't know.
I mean, you know what?
I think, I think, what is it like the decal or something?
I think it probably is a little slick, man,
with the technology they got now.
Come on now.
Oh, yeah, they can fix that.
They can fix that.
Yeah.
Candice Parker says that innovation
she'd like to see in NBA coverage
would be replicate how analysts cover schemes
at a high technical level.
I'm a big football fan.
I feel like I learned a lot
from blitz coverage and dropped to
in different Cphys I never saw
until they started showing it with technology.
I think sometimes as players,
we see things, but expect fans to see the game the same way.
But to be able to kind of like a hint to fans
that what were coming, I think that would be magical.
Yes, because we see the game, that's the thing.
We're fans, but we're analysts.
So we're analyzing the game.
I'm not interested in that a team scored.
I want to know how they scored.
I want to know how they beat the defense.
I want to know what coverage they were in, Ocho.
Yeah.
So I need to know, were you in cover four,
where you're in cover five, where you're in cover six,
it was it six kicks, was it seven, was it quarters?
That's what I'm interested in?
Okay, Ocho, what y'all in?
a three by one was it was it empty set yeah what was it a 11 personnel was it 12 personnel was it
I don't know fans say they won't that but they don't no I don't they don't I don't think so you would
have to really love like really really love the game yeah it would take away from being a fan
right yes that part would take away from actually being a fan right yes that part would take away from
actually being a fan that is too much and it could be confusing unless you're really interested
in dedicated and devoted to knowing what's actually going on outside of the game itself.
Me, I'm a fan, so I had to know.
So I know when they talk about the, when you hear LeBron say the nail, I was like, okay,
so what the hell is the nail?
Yeah.
Oh, okay.
So that's where it's hard to bring the double from the nail because he's between the free throw line
and drop the key inside the key,
it's hard to bring the double with you that high out.
Okay, the dunker spot.
Okay, you're on a pin down.
You want a flare.
Oh, okay.
I feel pretty good.
I feel like I'm breaking that thing down.
Like, I'm DB.
Yeah, yeah.
But that's because I want to know what, I want to know why.
Look, I don't care.
It's nice to see the three and all that other stuff,
but I need to know why.
How did that guy so wide open?
Who blew that?
Because we're more than a casual fan.
So when we watch the game, we're a different person.
We're analyzing it.
Yes.
Yeah.
Yes.
We're going to.
Bro, trap that.
Were you supposed to hedge?
Were you supposed to go under?
Were you supposed to go over?
Yeah.
Yeah.
So that's how I'm looking at it.
And I get what Candace is saying.
But Candice, I really don't know.
There are probably a few fans.
Yeah.
But the more fans, man, I don't care about that.
My team scored.
Damn, I don't care how they scored or why they scored.
They scored.
And all I do is we got to lead.
Yep.
You're right.
Everybody ain't going to want to go that in depth.
No.
But there will be a few.
It'll be a few.
Yeah.
Ocho, ISO, it's time to play or fade presented by prize picks.
Animation, please.
y'all the staff has run two in a row one oh i want $75 oh no i didn't win the whole angelada
i'm gonna win the day though i'm gonna win tomorrow though all right carson wince more than
two hundred and twenty five point five pass a yard joe you think he's gonna play they play the cardinal
They play the Chargers, right?
What he had last week?
Carson Wentz had like 300.
But he had like two picks.
And who they playing this week?
They play the Chargers.
Where is this game in L.A.?
and Minnesota?
Where is that?
It's a home game.
As you look at it up.
Damn, you think he got some weapons over there, but I don't...
Oh, yeah.
Naylor, they got a...
You said $2.75?
Yeah, $2.25. He's going to do that.
You think so?
Yeah, absolutely.
Too many weapons.
With Jefferson, Addison, Naylor, Hawkinson.
Ann Hawkinson, definitely.
Justin Jefferson, more than 0.5 Russian.
or receiving touchdowns.
That means will he have at least one touchdown tomorrow?
Absolutely.
Yeah.
Okay, so we go on one touchdown.
Kamadi Vidal, less than 55.5-yard rushing.
Who the hell he played for?
Oh, they rookie got hurt, didn't he?
And what do you call him, got hurt too?
Ooh, did he play last week?
Chargers really got in a running game.
Both of the tackles beat up.
I'm going to go less.
Ladd-McConkie, just your guy, Ocho,
Land-McConkey, 56.5 receiving yards.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
Ladarius McConkey might have 90 to 100.
Ain't nobody stopping Laderius McConkey.
Bikers are good against the rush, though.
They held down Sequin.
Ladd McConkey.
Will he have 57 yards, Joe?
Yeah, I say he will.
Ocho vouch for him.
I'm going to say he will.
Hey, Le Darius, the real deal, right?
His name not Ladis, or Darius.
All right.
We're going more.
So we're going more than 225.5.
We're going more than 0.5 touchdowns.
We're going less than 56 yards rushing,
and we're going more than 57 yards passing.
$25 to win 150.

It's good to be right.
Let me get on here and check.
All right, guys, it's time for our final segment of the evening.
It's time for Q and A.
Kemp for Norwood, Jr.
Uncle Ocho, my question, how far do you see the Lakers going,
play in, play in or playoffs?
What'd you thinking, Joe?
I think they'll make the playoff.
Ocho
First round exit
Damn
Yeah I think they'll make
I think I ain't gonna say for sure
But I do think they'll make the playoffs
Yeah
I think they make the playoffs also
Playoffs
Dr. Frankia L bellamy
Welcome back Joe
What did you miss the most
OCHO's contagious laugh
I don't love it man
All of it, man, I don't love it
Ocho line
Is this
Oh no, Joe
Listen
What I lie about, Joe?
Hey, listen, just because I ain't on here with y'all almost every night,
don't mean I ain't listening, all right?
I'm listening, I'm watching, and Ocho, you be a lot.
He just misspoke the truth.
I mean, lied is really harsh, Joe.
He misspoke the truth.
Listen, hey, Joe, anything I talk about, Joe, honestly, I'm going to be truthful with you.
Anything I talk about on here, I know it might seem fabricated.
It might seem like a lie.
But these are life experiences that I've been through.
somebody's life experience is not yours
promise you
you're right
there are life experiences
this boy here man
Joe the Raptors put something on your
hogs all right now
man they drop 45 in the third Joe
hey I thought I thought we were doing
Q&A about to get up out of here
but listen
yeah what happened to your hoax
You know what?
And that was a home game for us too, man.
It was.
I don't know it probably because I wasn't there
at the game room for him.
If you were when you keep it 100,
which you might need to be out there playing for them.
It don't look like we play no defense.
Give up a hundred and thirty eight points at home.
73 in the second half, Joe.
I don't know what happened, man.
We got to get together.
We got to get together?
First game.
Hey, when we go to a game, I'm from the heck with them boys.
Hold on, hold on, hold on,
Ocho, but I'm going to tell you about this Miami Heat in Orlando.
We won.
What played?
Would y'all win?
What the score was?
But y'all lost about four.
It was one, one twenty, what's the go?
121 to 125, Orlando.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
Hey, how, how?
Bamparo, how you say the last name?
Ben Carroll.
Yeah, how you did?
Ben Carroll.
Oh, Ben Carroll, nice.
He had 24th.
He had 24 and 11.
Vars Wagner had 24.
He had 24.
Yeah, they're good.
They're not playing.
Baines had 23.
First game over there with the magic.
Sugs.
How many Sugs have?
He had 14, but he was six for seven from the field.
He was facilitating and doing what he do.
Yeah.
See?
Orlando going to be tough.
I like it.
Ricky said Wemby put him the league on notice tonight.
He's back making Cooper Flag look like some barbecue chicken.
No, look, we saw Wimby his rookie season.
I mean, look, the guy's 12 foot tall.
I mean, he could shoot it.
I mean, I've seen people have a two-on-one fast break
and pull it out.
And now, I ain't messing with you.
I ain't mess with Wimby.
But they know he's going to throw it off out of there.
Ocho.
Yeah.
It's six and a half minutes left.
This man got 38 and 13.
Yeah.
I'm looking at him.
He ain't playing.
Oh, he's like, oh, he's for real.
And he got 37.
He's 37.
Because we're not used to, we're not used to seeing somebody that.
Look, KD.
Well, you see a guy at KD.
So just imagine somebody five, six inches taller than KD.
That can handle the ball, shoot the three, put the ball on the floor, get to the
rim, and you ain't getting nothing to here.
I wouldn't be surprised if he said the NBA record for block shots.
I think either Mark Eaton, a Mnute Bowl has the record for the most.
I think it's got five blocks a game.
Was it Mark Eaton, a Mnute Bowl?
man they say the man
then grew two inches
that's what I'm saying
so if Kevin Durant 611 7 foot
he's 7 5 7 6 and a half
Oh my God
Normally seven guys that tall Joe
Look at Mnobo
George Murrison
Brannley they're not having the ball
Like that
Nah yeah
And he he's 7 7 6 7 whatever it is
And he's 7 5 and a half 7 6
And he twitchy with it though
Yeah yes
Man, hey, San Antonio going to be scary
Because he got some dogs around them
Them young boys he got this playing around them
They can go
Is it Mark Eaton or Manu Bowl
I think somebody had like five blocks a season
After five blocks a game
San Antonio
Hey look
Yeah, I don't keep talking about OKC
But boy look
San Antonio ain't playing
They're putting it on
Man, they're up
Mark Eaton
Ojo
110, 18
Yeah, Mark, Mark Eaton, average four and a half blocks a game.
I can see Wimby do it.
I can see Wemby.
The guy that's most likely to get a quadruple double is Wemby,
and he's going to do it with block shots.
Like a team Elijah won did his with block shots,
normally have rebounds assist steals.
I mean, he's going to do it with block shots.
Hey, hey, hey, he looked like he ain't come to play.
No games with these boys a day.
He had 40 and 15.
Okay, Ocho.
Yeah.
It made.
Oh, he's going to be.
Oh, he don't, yeah.
This man,
like women tonight,
Lord, have mercy.
Yes, Lord have mercy.
T.S.
Carwashing detail is the Clippers
a top five team in the West?
Who can win it all?
Not the Clippers.
Look, look, they lost tonight.
Look, T.
Liu is too good of a coach.
They'll figure this out.
Kauai.
Ooh, Kauai didn't play well tonight.
Three or nine, one or five from the three.
He had 10 points, minus 25.
Nobody really played well.
Bradley Bill had five.
James Hardin had 15.
James had 15 and 11.
Two rebounds.
Zubox had 19 and 7.
Derek Jones, Jr. had 12.
John Collins had 14.
Brooke Lopez had 15.
I wonder why Kauai only took nine shots.
Dang.
I expect him.
I expect Kauai to be at least 18.
20 attempts.
Okay, Ocho.
I expect him to be aggressive.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But if you go back and look at it,
nobody really took a whole, I mean,
John Collins and Brooke Lopez had as many shots as James Hardin.
Zubaz had the most.
He was 9 of 13.
But this, hold on.
Utah scored.
Oh, yeah, this game was over.
Utah scored 43 in the first, 35 in the second.
So they had 78.
And they had, they were up 70.
78 to 47.
And now you see why he only.
And their damn altitude and got to them,
clippers.
Hey, look, y'all not played in Utah for two years.
I know it's like, it's almost like,
it's like playing in Denver.
Yes, it is.
It is.
And listen.
Nikki Grant says, I'm single,
two steps past 40, well employed,
no kids.
I'm enjoying minding my bills
and enjoying my mortgage.
According to Chad,
I'm screwed.
Well, shoot.
Man, 40?
I mean, Nick, it ain't too late.
You ain't screwed, Nikki.
All right, yeah, you ain't screwed, Nikki.
He out there.
What kind of car we got, Nicky?
Yeah, he out there.
I mean, you got a Mercedes because you know Mercedes,
you put a lot of miles on a Mercedes now.
Nah, look, there's somebody out there for everybody.
Yeah, that's what they say.
Yeah.
And you know, you know, women love to say don't settle.
But see, it's different for, see, Ocho, a guy will make, a guy looking to make money so he can provide.
Women, a lot of women are looking to make money so they can become independent.
See, they got them fool.
You don't need no man.
And the first time's up, hey, can you?
do this? No, you don't need no man. Call somebody else to move you or change your
time or change your oil or take you to get something. It all depends. Look, what you, is that
what you want? If you want somebody, settle, I don't think settle is the right word. I think
the thing is, is that everybody is trying to find the perfect, everything. You know what you're missing?
He makes, Ocho, he makes $500 to $10 million.
He's highly educated.
He likes to travel.
He doesn't have any kids, even if they do.
That's a movie.
That's a movie you're talking about right there.
That's a fairy tale ending.
Everybody, everybody, everybody.
Did you hear about the fair tale ending?
Isn't that what?
In that the end?
Happily ever after.
Yeah, in the movies.
Yes.
In the movies.
It was fiction.
It was fiction.
In the movies.
Hey, Nikki, I got somebody for you, Nikki.
Nicky, you good.
You good.
I got somebody for you, though.
Wizard Pete, is it time to stop sugar-coting these quarterbacks
that are past their prime?
It's time to retire, for him to retire,
and he's been watched for three to four years.
Who?
Yeah, what are you talking about?
You got to give him some name, Wizard Pete.
Because all the old quarterbacks in the NFL,
They're playing real well.
They're playing good.
Rogers is playing tremendous.
Joe Flacco had an outstanding game the other night.
Did you not see?
He's going to have another outstanding win again against these goddamn Jets on Sunday.
Was he, was he, who was offensive,
a UFC officer player the week this week?
Was it Flacko?
I think it might have been Uno.
How is it going to be Uno if Joe Flacco was throwing the ball?
That boy, had by me, catches he had, Ocho.
It was Chase.
16.
Oh, yeah.
Jamar and Seaback.
Yeah.
I told you.
Well, we know Michael won a defensive player
of the year for the NFC.
We had three sex.
Yeah.
Yep.
Well, when playing, getting around that is, what?
Ooh.
He closed the game out.
Okay.
Okay.
Let Ocho tell it.
He could have won the U.S.
and ran nine, six, and the hundred.
I mean, oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Now, listen, for those that do follow me, Joe,
you see my tennis skills.
I haven't.
Don't be on the scene of tennis skills.
And listen, it's well documented,
especially if anybody in the chat in Miami,
they know in the hundred in high school,
as a freshman, I ran 9-8.
I ran 9-8.
So I ain't too far off of 9-6,
and I wasn't even a track runner.
I was a soccer game.
And that's the 90-yard dash.
No, no, for real
Yeah, it's before I got hurt
First of all, if you ran 9-8
In the 100 meters ain't no way in hell
You're running 4-6
Who? No, I ran 4-6
I fell. Like, I fell
Like, I fell on my chest and got up
And still ran 4-6
Come on, okay. Come on, Cho.
He meant, hey, he made he played pickleball, Joe.
Yeah.
You're good, he, I, uh, oh, they said, oh, Joe got it, you know,
pickleball, he good at that.
Ocho, I'm gonna be back on that pickleball court.
Give me, give me a couple more points.
Don't do that.
Joe, don't do that.
Don't do that.
Hey, listen, hold on.
I'm telling you, Ocho, I'm trying to team up with you.
Hey, you ain't y'all.
Oh, you're trying to team up with me?
Hey, you ain't got to come to the winter side, Joe.
Come to the winter side.
I like that.
I like that.
Yeah.
I'm ready.
Yeah, man, we get at some people with some doubles or something.
Yeah, I like it.
97.
So, fellas, start, trade, cut.
Shaq, Tim Duncan, Elijah won.
Ooh.
Shit.
I've said it.
I'm gonna stick by it.
Tim Duncan is underappreciating.
Yeah, he is.
Look, because he ain't had no flashy game.
He couldn't fly through the air,
he ain't shoot no threes.
He didn't have no, he ain't have no funny soundbipes.
All he did was everybody you know what
that played in his era.
You're right.
You're right.
I played against him in.
two playoff series.
That boy won
a knife.
Hey,
and what?
Three finals MVP.
He won five,
three finals MVP,
a two-time MVP.
He probably should have won a defensive player of the year
award, but he didn't because he was like
a 15-time, 13, 14, 15-time,
all defensive.
He's like 13-14-time, all-MBA.
Yeah.
And he's putting up these numbers with Shaq.
Now, him and Shaq going head-to-head,
that was a match-up.
It was.
They did.
They had some great ones for her.
Yeah.
And let me take you.
And Jack also played in the era with Elijah won.
Yeah.
Elijah won got the best of them in their finals.
That was a young shot.
Yeah.
Elijah won got the best to a lot of people.
Man,
a whole lot of people could do anything with Reed.
Hey, look, he was so quick.
I had a quick little stint with Houston.
This was, it had to be
2000, what, 18, 19.
This one, James Harton was
averaging like, well, boy, 35, yeah, 35, something like that.
But we used to play three on three every day, Uncle Ocho.
Yeah.
And me and Dream used to be on the same team every day, bro.
He used to play three on three with us every day.
Man, listen, some of the coolest stuff I've ever been a part of, bro, I used to look forward
to that.
Dream got a day.
Dream still got some nice game for you down now.
Yeah.
You see he over there teaching Wimby and all them boys out of, oh, yeah.
Yeah.
That dream shake.
Ooh.
And the thing was he played both ends.
Yes, sir.
No, he really, really played both ends.
Yeah.
Yeah, he was a hell of a shot blocker.
So we're going to,
and so Prime Shack, Prime Dunkin, Prime Elijah won.
I can't cut none of them.
Somebody just got to come off the bench.
You'll be a fool to cut any of them.
Hey, that's unrealistic, man.
Man, you can't cut neither.
It's tough, bro.
Because, man, listen.
Ooh.
I would probably...
Prime Shack.
Ain't nothing like Prime Shack.
Nothing you can do with him.
Nothing.
At all.
Nothing.
I would go Prime Shack.
You're going to have to cut Duncan, ain't you?
Tell the truth.
Yeah, you're keeping 100.
It's he can keep it 100.
It's okay.
Damn.
Oh, so I got to, hold on.
I'm, you know what?
And I got to trade, no, somebody going to the bench.
Somebody got to go into the bench.
I ain't to get rid of the deal because they're going to come back and haunt me.
Oh, boy.
Hey, they go.
If you trade Elijah, he's going to come back and give you 40, 15 with 10 blocks.
Dunkin going to give you 20, 20 and 8.
Shack going to give you 40.
15 and going to pull the backboard down on your head.
Pulling the screws out that thing.
You hear me?
Chad, what should we do, chat?
I'm going to start Shaq
and Duncan Elijah won
got to come off the bench.
Man.
Todd F.G. said, I so miss you, brother.
I know this is NBA episode,
but them Cowboys fin to get whipped Sunday,
Bronco Country.
Oh.
Oh, oh, what we got on it, baby?
Make a lot of yourself, Joe.
Make a lot of yourself, Joe.
Hey, and, and, I know we, I know we're playing in Denver,
but hold on, let's, let's break something down real quick.
I don't want you on, you're an ocho to have amnesia on here.
Because, Uncle, you are already, you still down at dinner.
Me and you, but we're going to have a lot.
Number one, dinner.
Come on now, come on, Uncle.
Let's play this.
And, you know what Joe, Joe, be talking about,
Ocho, you all be like, you all be like seven gay
and the series we won four three.
Hey, Ocho, but you is in the hole, though.
We can laugh about it, but you, I still ain't got to pay, man.
Interest, interest, interest, it adds up.
Hold on, I'm talking about me.
Yeah, I'm talking about you.
I'm talking about you.
Oh, you're $100.
But I'm saying, it's interest in there.
Ocho, you've been on me, the season has started back, man.
That was the final.
He started back.
Hey, Ash and Joy, we got to pull that up
and let Ock know.
Why he and the whole, it's okay, man, it's okay.
Hey, I ain't holding it against you.
I'm just reminding y'all, because, you know,
if I don't remind y'all, then you, you know,
you let somebody hold on for something too long,
they're going to really think it's there.
Yeah, for sure.
At $100?
Yeah, man, they got to add a little interest to it,
the season has started back.
Like, we don't start it back.
Man, we don't have two seasons.
I ain't got my buddy yet.
Jay Duff, Akron, fellas, great show is usual.
Welcome back.
So, we got you back at 26.
Appreciate that, man.
Appreciate that.
Tim's business and Uncle Ocho,
Iso, great to have you back today.
Your boy celebrates his 37th birthday.
The wife took me to have a spa day.
I had my shave by La Portier,
that thing's smooth.
Appreciate that.
Your boy was hell when he was well.
If you know what I mean, I know exactly what you mean.
Hello.
Happy birthday, man.
Glad you and the wife got to spend some time together.
Nothing like a spa day, you know, go out and give some to eat.
and they come on
and shake the covers for dogs
that's a birthday
that's a birthday right there
oh yeah absolutely
man you know the old pole hustler
and do nothing
oh chow
hey
somebody need to come through
with a fadeaway jumper
I'm 58 though
hey I need somebody
to pull up a fade away Joe
50 cell was
I ain't enough.
Big T-D-1-A-O-CHO. Cho, I got that 85 jersey on tonight at work.
They've been giving me hell all night because I'm a Cowboys.
I'm a Cowboys fan, but so would be 84 Jersey on the way.
Too much love, fella.
Appreciate that, man.
Yes, sir.
I ain't a Cowboy fan that got an 85 jersey on.
That's janky, man.
What you're trying to do those?
Hey, not really.
Honestly, you know what?
I'm one of the few jerseys.
In regards to what team you support, I'm universal.
wearing my jersey is universal for any fan base
because everybody loved me.
Every fan base loved me.
No.
So also said AR and Rui
been consistently inconsistent
for the last three seasons now.
Nah, no,
AR been that guy.
He had.
Now, when you least expect it,
Ruy will pop up and have,
like, when I expect it,
I never get what I'm really expecting to get from Rui.
Now, R will pop up and have a game,
but now, AR been,
it's gotten better and better and better.
I can't agree with you, that one, no saucy.
Just one game.
Just one game.
El Prey, can you tell the story about when your grandfather stood up against his brother
that caused your uncle not to show up for my grandfather's funeral, for his, my funeral.
My uncle was thumping me on the head.
And my grandfather would always tell us he ain't like nobody being thumping on the head,
so you make him thickhead and he won't be able to learn.
You bet, you know how the old people got saying.
And so he thumped me.
And we were sitting on the porch,
and my grandfather, the bedroom was right there.
And I thumped it.
And, no, he thumped me.
And I said, oh, stop thumping me.
And my grandfather, my grandfather room, and he heard it.
So I can hear my grandfather putting his coveralls on.
That was what he called overall coveralls.
Yeah.
And he came, he said, if you thumped that boy one more time on his head,
I'm going to kill you.
My uncle got in his car and never saw him again.
Even my grandfather died.
He came to the church, but he didn't come inside.
Wow.
My grandfather, where if he told you something, Ocho, set you clock by.
If he told you something.
He meant that.
He meant exactly that.
He meant exactly that.
He didn't play all that Kiki-Kee-in and all that joking.
He didn't, he didn't play that.
Yeah.
And that's, I guess that's kind of how I am.
But, you know, I've kind of like a little bit more, but.
Too much of that plan, hey, eh, uh-uh.
He was a firm, he was a firm believer that grown men shouldn't play.
He was a firm believer in that, all that keep, that joke in and Kiki, and saying stuff like that.
Yeah.
Mm-mm.
I told me, man, made a joke about my girlfriend.
grandfather had his teeth on the dash.
We've gone fishing.
Got some gas?
Man said,
Mr. Barney, you better catch your teeth
before they run away.
He'll go, like to pull the transmission.
Like, you're going to snap that again.
That car in parks.
Oh, wow.
Hey.
I don't joke.
I don't play.
I'm old enough to be your daddy.
I'm sorry, Mr. Barney.
He didn't learn his lesson.
Come back about a month later, we go and fishing.
Yeah.
Mr. Barney, don't catch him all.
You know G.D.
well, I can't catch all them damn fish.
Man,
Barty Porte didn't play like that.
You know what?
I wish somebody, you know what,
because y'all, y'all be the thing I'd be like.
But I want y'all to catch my brother.
Y'all ask my brother, say, man, I heard your brother.
brother on nightcap, say his, your uncle thunked him on his head, your granddad
brother thumped him on his head. What happened? Ask him about when the man said, hey,
grab your teeth before they run away. Ask him about, hey, don't catch all them fish.
Asked him. Hey, hey, he kept them teeth in that, in their glass and their glass drawn.
Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, little water now. Yeah. Oh, you know about that. Well, Joe,
you had grandpa at the hair
because if you don't
by that water,
the teeth of the glass.
Well,
you go in there and make it
because you don't water
make things look like,
damn, pop,
I got some big old teeth.
Hey,
I already know what you're talking about.
Boy, well,
man,
there was the days,
man,
hey,
bar the party they play,
man.
But,
hey.
That concludes
this episode of
nightcap. We want to thank each and every one of you for joining us. Welcome back,
Joe, guys. We really, really appreciate that support.
Appreciate John. Man, we're going to have some great. I look like we're going to have
some great games this year because the season is getting off to a great start. Venus has come
back, take a 107, 104 league with three minutes to go into ball game. But it looked like
we'll have a great season. Joe, man, it's going to be great. We got our rhythm. We got our
cadence. Now we got a year and I built with Joe, man. This thing about to be lit, lit.
Hey, let's get it.
Ocho, what's that you doing?
Hey, that's the Kobe.
So hold on.
So are you putting your back or are you putting your butt on him?
Because Jordan put his back on him.
And he's trying to hand-check me.
I'm leaning back on him.
Yeah.
Oh, okay.
Hey, and then get your hand off me, boy.
Hey, Joe, I've been working on my game, Joe.
Okay, all right.
ready for the next for next big three yeah i'm getting ready i'm practicing hey joe you see him in
the all-star game boy boy good triple single i seen the boy and i seen him a quadruple single
i seen him in the flag football joint you saw that too huh yeah see my thing ohcho it's when you sit
on here with us and you be like oh man y'all gonna watch me tomorrow i'm gonna have 30 points
i'm gonna have 300 yards tomorrow with 15 yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah and then you get out there you get out
Hey, Joe, I get out there and do what I'm supposed to do.
If the ball don't come, ain't nothing I can do, Joe.
Ain't nothing I can do?
You start copping these, please, and we ain't trying to hear it.
That's all I'm saying.
What you want me to do?
You want me curse the quarterback out?
If that's what you got to do to get the ball, then that's what you need to do.
Nah, no, Joe.
Yeah, that's what you got to do.
Hey, Joe, them people ain't going to invite me back.
No, motherfucker's coach, Joe.
They might not invite you back after that performance you put up.
Oh, now, I look good, nah.
I just want you to go one time.
and bring nightcap some hardware back.
That's it.
We send you off and you come back in up to handy.
Hey, uh, uh, right hand, baby.
I promise you, I'm going to bring you something back.
I got something for y'all.
No, Joe was going to bring us an MVP back.
Come on, man.
What is you talking about?
Come on now.
Hey, Joe, hey, Joe, we got, we want some awards, Joe, so we got you an award coming.
What?
Yeah, we want this, what we want two of these.
Boy, that won't talk.
But nightcap.
Okay.
Okay, look, don't thread me with no good time now.
No, no, any time
Hey, hey,
Hey, hold on, hold on, hold on.
Hey, hey, uh,
I got, I need, uh, I'm, I got some floating shells, right?
I'm putting some floating shells right behind me.
Yeah.
I'm gonna put some, um, some pictures.
Man, do you see how crooked them plaques are?
That my, my, who ever hug them had vertigo.
No, it's not crooked.
It's the, it's the camera.
No.
Not the wall.
Whoever put them up, they have vertigo
or they crossed eyes, cocked like Rick and Smiley
and said cocked like a pistol.
Because he did that.
That's why it looked like that.
Yeah, that look in, Rick.
Man, ain't getting on here.
Man, come on, Ocho, man.
Now, listen, listen, listen.
Stay with me, right.
Stay with me real quick.
It looked like that because of the camera.
What camera?
My camera.
You're saying, you don't look crooked?
Huh?
You don't look crooked?
I know.
It's the death perception.
is off.
Boy,
I know you was something else.
I know that boy was something else in school
because, boy, you got to come back for everything.
You hear me?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm just telling you, the camera's off
because the wall is flat,
so it ain't no way it could be crooked.
Don't tell nobody,
but he stayed in the same classroom the whole day.
Hey, I had a 4.0, though.
Hey, you ain't doing it up a finger paint.
And take that.
That man, he got stars for grades.
Man, I'm your favorite on Seattle Shop.
