Former Cowboys coach Jason Garrett was shocked by the trading of Michael Parsons.
I was shocked.
You know, the most important player on the football team is the quarterback.
The second most important play on the football team is the guy that can negatively affect the quarterback.
And those guys are hard to come by.
Ever since that guy came into the league, he's been a dominant player.
He's transformative.
He's changing the whole team.
If you think about the Cowboys in 2020, they were 6 and 10.
They weren't a very good team.
And then they get defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, and all of a sudden, they're a different team.
And if you look at all those interception that the DBs are making, Bland digs, they're intercepting them.
The running backs for touchdown and running them back for touchdowns, you look at what's going on around the quarterback on those throws.
Micah is the guy causing all the problems.
And those guys are hard to come by.
If you think about it, in four years, 52 sacks, he and Reggie White,
Being used in the same sentence, he's an impactful player.
I was shocked that they let him out of the building.
A lot of people are saying that.
And a lot of people don't understand.
It was ego.
It was the same ego that let Jimmy Johnson out of the building.
It was the same ego.
Credit.
Credit.
He's like, I found Michael Parsons.
I'll go find me another one.
Guess what?
You found DeMarcus Ware.
And guess what you did?
You let him out the building.
And he's going to win a Super Bowl with the building.
Broncos. Now, I'm not saying Michael
Parsons going to go win a Super Bowl, that's not I'm saying.
But when you got a guy that's 26 years
of age, and he can hunt the quarterback
like he can, everybody's looking.
That's why Pittsburgh paid
T.J. Watt
at the age of 31, what they
paid in. That's why Cleveland
paid Miles Garrett, even though he had two years
left on his contract, what they paid
it. They need guys
that can hunt the quarterback,
and this guy can hunt the quarterback.
Now, egos got involved.
He goes on both sides.
Jerry felt that, you know, we had a handshake deal,
even though he's not supposed to be negotiating when the player,
when he knows the player has an agent,
Michael felt he was disrespected and I can't say that I disagree with him.
Because you're telling the guy, well, hey, we paid him last year and he missed time.
And now all of a sudden, we can't stop the run and we can't do this.
It's almost like everything that's going on defensively that's wrong with the Cowboys.
He's putting it on Micah as the reason why.
And then you turn around and say, nah, you're going to play on that fifth of your option.
I'm going to say, no, I'm not at all.
And look, at that point in time, Ocho, you have to move him.
But when you get too strong-minded individuals, obviously Jerry is, is not going to Ben.
He's made it abundantly clear.
He runs things.
He does things his way.
It's served him well.
It's hurt him in certain instances.
But I'm surprised also.
Because guys like Michael Parsons don't drop off trees.
They just don't.
I mean, I was surprised that he was, he lasted as long as he did because I watched him.
I saw him.
And I saw a guy that was sudden.
I saw a guy that was impactful.
I saw a guy that jumped off the, he jumped off the screen at you.
I said, somebody, no, no, he can play.
And then you watch him go to the combine and do what he did.
I said, okay, you're a player.
Because I want to watch him on tape.
Watch him on TV.
Does he jump up?
Yeah.
God, damn he, son.
Hey, listen.
Well, let's see, let's see if he runs fast, Ocho.
Let's see if he's explosive by jumping high.
Let's see what type of short area quickness he had in the shuttle and the car.
Hey, Michael Parsons, Abdul Carter, Von Miller,
deep as the ends that are not tall, not 65, not 6,4, and 2, whatever, undersized,
got a nice toolbox got a nice motor lateral movement very good with the hands
they all got something in common
Abdul Carter going to be up next on you're going to be the next one
watch Jerry you built your team you have it you had an undersized defense
the way you built your team is that you were supposed to score get the lead they
couldn't run so you pin your ears back. Now, when you turn the ball over and you don't race out
to that big lead, now you got a big offensive line leaning on your underside defense.
Now you get guys running up and down the field on you. But when you get a Michael Parsons,
ain't nobody said everything. Nobody ever said, man, Derek Thomas can't stop the run. He's going to
hunt your damn quarterback though. You go get the quarterback. As a matter of fact, I want you to play
to run on the way to the quarterback. Now, if they
hand the ball to him and you head it to the quarterback,
go ahead and tackle it. But I want
you to go get the quarterback. But
you could see kind of where this was headed.
Jerry, who like wants to prove
a point that it's going to be my way
or no way. And then
once he, and I don't think he left Michael
much of a choice. Because I, like,
it seems to me that Michael was kind of
held Ben on not playing on that
21. They had a grievance, foul.
He was a linebacker. Linebacker's
24. The, the
defensive end is 21 fifth 215 and so whatever the case may be he didn't want to play on that number
and jerry basically said you're going to play on that number or you go somewhere else he said
well send me somewhere else did case closed and matter of fact and when i left you said you just got
better you while i was there you need to stop the run so you went and got kenny clark and then you
permitted to say that we need
to get better in the run, not
realizing who you play week
one on Thursday.
So when the game come Thursday,
and I can't wait the Thursday night's show,
because if the goddamn Eagles
run their ass up and down the goddamn field
against the Cowboys,
Jerry again, then put his foot
in his goddamn mouth.
My thing is,
Ocho,
I don't really see the need
If we break up, I don't need to say anything negative about you.
Yeah, never will, ever.
Because I didn't say that all those things that I'm saying about you now,
you were those exact same thing when I was walking around arm and arm and we're
key, key and showing up to a business together.
You were all those things.
You didn't do anything that caused us to break up that you weren't doing when we're together.
It seems to me, whatever, whatever Jerry's saying about Micah now, did he just get that way
in the off season, or had he been like that since you got him?
Now, pretty soon stuff's going to start coming out.
Probably he missed meetings and he wasn't late to practice and he wasn't doing this.
It's going to come out.
Watch what I tell you now.
He's going to watch what to tell you.
It kind of slipped out because he said something about Jay Z about showing up the meetings
and all this and stuff like that.
But it's the most of going to come out.
Stuff, you never stepped anything in a win, you wouldn't have a loss.
yeah and there are a lot of people that will accept as long as we winning well if you start
if a guy missed meetings if a guy missed practice and you're winning if you start to lose why is it
a problem you accepted it when you was winning so why is it unacceptable when you're losing that's
why you don't accept things in a win you wouldn't have a loss because you're setting a bad precedent
you're saying you you let guys start miss you guys start miss you guys
guys come in overweight, Ocho, and they're a pile of two overweight, and you winnie, like, hey, don't
worry about it.
Don't worry about it.
Sooner later, that two pounds are going to turn to five.
Five is going to turn to 10.
And then when it comes, because guess what?
Most places that do get cold.
And you don't lose weight as easily is when it's hot.
Now, Miami might be a different situation.
Arizona, you know, some places like that.
But you start playing in New York and you're playing Baltimore.
You play in Cincinnati.
You play in a place where it gets cold, Ocho.
And you're not.
running around like that, it gets harder and harder. I think that's the one of the best thing,
one of the best lessons that Mike Schenahan told me and it stuck with me and here we are 30 plus
years later. 84, I'll never accept anything in a win. I wouldn't in a loss. That effort that you
gave me there, that ain't it. I wouldn't accept no. The meeting, punctuality, and you can
appreciate that. But like I said, I got nothing bad to say. Because a lot of things
when you tolerated, I'm going to say my thing. Whatever transpired, I'll bite my tongue.
I'll be the bigger person. I'll walk away. Hey, you're right. Because you know why I would
show is low-hanging fruit. You know how I know? Because your boy, you look at him. He's low-hanging
fruit. And there are a lot of people taking
your shot in your boy.
Y'all can have it. Y'all got it.
Y'all got me.
Yeah. It's all right.
It's okay.
It's okay.
We're going to be on, no, Judge.
That trivia said, we're going to be all right.
I could have told you that.
I can tell you, I've been telling you that.
Yeah, everybody, everybody want to pile on, everybody jump on now.
Hey, we got him down, Ocho, we got him down.
The best time to, hey, let me get, let me get my lick now.
Everybody want to get a lick now where your boy was doing good.
You hear a lot of people that have a whole lot to say.
Now everybody got something to say.
We're going to be all right.
Ocho, former Panthers running back, Mike Davis,
talked about his poor experience with Matt Ruhl in Carolina
on Raw Room Podcast.
Damn.
Let's take a listen
to what he had to say, Ocho.
Bro, we did live goal line
CMA at first day
from injury,
first day back from injury.
That's crazy.
And he get hollowed.
Oh, damn.
He didn't see him.
He'd just walked out of the finish.
I'm gone,
I would have been gone.
That's what I'm saying.
What he was doing?
And he was so mad.
He was so mad.
He's so mad.
He just walked out of field.
Why would that even be a scenario
that he would be in?
It's his first day back.
Why would I put him
the lodge room it was just it was just stuff like that that was going on though it's not college
he's that's what they were you know what I'm saying and you know how like um I don't even think
it was like OTA's like phase one you know what I'm saying you know we're supposed to be on the field
we're doing like supposed to do like walk through stuff you know what I'm saying even if we do
running it's kind of like we was going a hundred percent you know how bad it got to be for CMEC to
be like, hey, y'all, hey, I'm going to say some time,
cool, we're doing too much. That's great. Wow.
Well, that's a college coach. Hey. And, and, and, and, and, you know,
Coach Saban, remember how coach Saban was, how the guy I say coach Saban was when he got to
Miami? Hey, but they, they, they, uh, they wouldn't, they wouldn't, they wouldn't move
though. And boy, I'm talking about the veterans, the veterans, the veterans, the veterans,
the veterans, certain stuff they moved. They didn't have a whole lot of those. They didn't
have a whole lot of those there in Carolina. And C. Mac, and C. Mac, and C.
young and he even said something um i mean if they look practicing the guys like that
when they're college you get away with it ocho because the guy you can tell an 18 19 20 year old
something that a 24 25 year old guy to ass out you know why hocho i'm already here
you too you tell him the 18 19 year old kid hojo something
18, 19, 20-year-old kid or something because he's trying to get somewhere.
You got his undivided attention.
I'm 24, 25.
I'm already here.
And I make more than you.
Especially when you're already there and you put me in harm's way.
Now you put me in harm's way.
Why are we going to 100 miles an hour on the goal line?
Why am I just coming back from injury and you got me in going 100 miles an hour?
and then I get high load
soon as I get in there.
We went like,
you go live,
go out in training camp.
But you know, in training camp,
you know, say, look, 9-on-7,
live.
Go live.
Live.
Hey, all right.
Hey, you know,
hey, I'm batting down the hatchet,
you, little, Joe.
I tighten them shoulder,
tighted them shoulder pads up.
It's live.
Okay, I expect that.
I ain't expect no damn live,
go-line,
season unless it's in the game damn sure he's expecting that you know training
camp's a different animal I mean we once had we had what we call hell week in 94
oh cho we had 16 straight padded practice right 16 16 padded no sir
well hey I would have had that I ain't tell it what somebody told me they had I'm
telling what I know I'm telling come out of those I would have had shells on on
Bad.
Ocho, you know that third day now, you know that the old man get in there.
You start walking still and hurt to get up by the bed.
You're like, man, what time is it?
Man, it's two o'clock.
I think I can hold this P till seven.
Damn.
Man, your knees hurt, your hips hurt, your ankles.
Man, I ain't trying to get a bank.
I ain't trying to get up and walk on that cold ass flow and go to the bathroom.
And my bathroom, we stayed in college dorms and my roof, the bathroom was right there
because I just walk out and I'm in the bathroom.
But they're hurt to get up.
Man, I'm like, Lord, have mercy.
I remember, mind you, I don't forget.
Now, I was, I was there for two of days.
I know what it's like.
I remember them days.
Man, please.
Mm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Oh, man, there was some days, boy.
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, some people would never know what that's like, Ocho.
Like I said, I don't know.
I haven't been to a training camp
in a long time, so I don't know
if it's walked through, if it's
meeting in the afternoon, I don't know what it
is, I don't know how they do it.
You know, I think you can have on pass for like
13 practices during the season.
I don't know. We only put
on pads on Thursday. We had on pass
for like 12 plays.
We have plans for 12 plays,
9-07. That was it.
Then we come up out of the pads.
Then we didn't have on pads. We didn't have on pads.
We didn't have on pads. We didn't have on pads
after those 13 plays,
12, 13 plays, maybe 12.
It might have been like 9 or 10,
whatever the case may be.
If it was a good 9-on-7,
you come up out of them,
and then Friday,
obviously, you didn't have on pads.
Now,
Coach Reed, we had on,
we had on pads.
We had on pads in shorts.
That was shells.
That was those by shells.
We wore those until about week,
13-week 14-14.
No, sir.
The devil was the old.
school, there was the old school days.
Listen, I had some days
where I just didn't feel like wearing pads, so I put
my shells on. And
obviously, you know, the DBEs and the
linebackers, they'll be able to be able to tell a difference.
So, you know,
there would be no, obviously,
they know just the touch below the hip.
Don't hit me.
Yeah, don't, don't hit me
because I'm, I let
them know right away. I put, get one of them
signals like this, tap my head.
or I tap them shoulder
shoulder pads and they know
all right, we got you.
I ain't got, uh-uh.
Yeah.
Man, Mike wasn't playing that.
Come on, man, look here.
I ain't trying to be out here all day.
Man, let's go ahead and make this thing, look.
We, hey, 907, we got like eight plays.
And I got like six of them.
Let's make it look good.
Let's make it look good for the camera,
Ocho.
Hey, let's fire up.
thud it up and keep it moving
because Michael start this
motion over. You don't want that.
Nah, nah.
Man, Michael started over
and you used to go all the way back
from stretching. Go back to stretch
and put it on and do all the periods over again?
Oh, no.
Absolutely not.
Okay.
If a ride, if you want to,
boy, Mike, they play that?
Man, hey, man, we don't, man, we, hey, drop, drop two passes in a row.
I drop one.
Then Rod dropped one.
We might be on play eight.
Start it over.
We start the whole period.
Oh, man, run that back.
My bad guy.
My bad.
My bad.
Oh, man.
Derek Henry needs 1,317 yards, rushing to become one of the NFL top 10,
rushes in his career.
The historic run with Lyft Henry
from his current 19th spot
propelled him past seven
Hall of Fame running back.
You can see the list right
there. I don't think anybody's going to get
image record. I think it's safe.
We should see Walter Payton. You look at Frank Gore,
Barry Sanders. Barrett Sanders.
He did that in 10 years. So imagine
averaging 1,520
yards. That's crazy.
But anyway, you see
Kurti Martin, L.D.D.A.
J.B.
Man, it's funny.
I was in the league with Emmett, Barry,
Curti Mark, L.T,
betters, Dickerson, Marshall,
Edge.
I don't think I played against it.
I did.
I did.
Marcus, Thurman, Fred,
Stephen, I don't think I was in to see Steve Jackson.
Damn.
I think he gets it.
I say he's going to be in the top.
I think it will be the top ten by the time to see his little.
$1,300?
Yeah, it's going to be the same
culprits. It's going to be the same culprits
that are going to have $1,300 plus this year.
Same ones.
And he's one of them.
Absolutely one of them.
Let me think about it, Ojo.
He rushed for $12,000.
He rushed for $12,000 in high school.
He broke Ken Hall's record
of over $12,000.
He's from Sugarland.
And this man had,
Jerry Harry had like 4,000 yards.
Russian real deal so you think about it think about all the yards this man is
right for 12,000 in high school another 12,000 he got 11 a little over 11,000 now
that's 20 and he had what two 3,000 in the NFL I mean in college he definitely
and to be that durable and to be a collision back yeah yeah let me see them
we think about think about running backs having 1,300 I mean that I know
going to have $1,300, Derek Henry, Sequan Barkley.
Jonathan Taylor.
Jonathan Taylor, because they don't have a choice but to give him the ball.
Correct.
Josh Jacobs is going to be right there, fringy.
Aaron Jones, he'll hit 1,000.
and I don't know if he'd get the 13.
Yeah, he won't get 13.
He's more of dual threat.
He's more of a runner and a catcher.
Let me think.
Who else?
I said Josh Jacobs already, yeah.
CMA.
What do you think about CMAQ?
Do you think he'd be able to stay healthy all season long?
He's more of a dual threat.
I can see him close to 1,300,
but he might have another 700 receiving.
I want to go with Bijon Robinson.
I think
I see more like
11, maybe 1,100.
I want to say
Kyron Williams too,
especially with him
just getting paid
over there in L.A.
But I think he can have to
split carries with,
I forgot who the backup is.
Yeah.
Man, Jim Brown,
Jim Brown had
12,000 yards
in nine seasons.
Is it
would Jim Brown
that good
or was the level of
competition,
shitty he was I mean he had speed power you're talking about the guy that was
six to two hundred thirty pounds when the offensive lineman was like 240 um he was an
MVP in his rookie season I don't think we'll ever see an NFL MVP in his
rookie season I don't think we'll see I don't think we'll see another NBA MVP
in his rookie season like we saw where I think Will Chamble was an MVP was an MVP
and I think Wes Unsell was an MVP.
I think Freddie Lynn and baseball was an MVP.
Jim Brown was an MVP.
We're not going to see that anymore.
It was, it was so long ago, we're not going to see it.
We're not going to see it.
But Derek Henry, for him to be a collision back
and to still be putting up the yards that he's putting up,
kind of like Adrian Peterson was a collision back.
I mean, you think about Frank Gore with two repaired ACLs.
I think he had two ACL surgeons, maybe three.
and he's a third all-time leading Russia.
Hey, that's crazy.
Just think about that.
I mean, think about that backfield,
Clinton Porter, Frank Gore, Willis McGehy.
That was your backfielded to you.
And boy, we're loaded, boy.
Yep.
But stay healthy, King Henry.
Stay healthy, King Henry.
What year is there for King Henry?
11?
10 or 11.
Hey, this is Matt Jones.
I'm Drew Franklin.
And this is NFL cover zero.
We think NFL coverage should be informative and entertaining.
And twice a week, that is exactly what you're going to get.
We're just here to try to give you an NFL perspective a little bit different.
Did you see the Colts pretzel?
That was my other big takeaway from that game.
What was that?
Looks like something that should not be sold.
Oh, my.
So that was my other big Colts take away.
He sold that?
Yes.
Might want to go back to the drawing board on that.
Yeah.
I thought the shape we had with pretzels was working pretty well.
It's worked for generations.
We're just here trying to enjoy it.
We hope you all will join us throughout the year.
And let's go.
I hope I'm as youthful as Pete Carroll is at his age.
He's a young 73.
He is a young 73.
He is Sprite.
I would say.
I would.

Are you kidding me?
It's a touchdown.
Have you ever seen that one before?
Rookies making a name for themselves.
Run again.
Projecting as a bulldozer.
He is bouncing off defenders and dragged down.
And of course, the Eagles trying to win another Lombardi.
What a game.
What a season.
What a team.
Eagles fans.
savorage and rejoice.

Okay.
Mm-hmm.
Um, for him to, like I said, to be a collision back, to run to that kind of contact with the amount of carries that he's had.
Well, hell, shoot.
Don't nobody want to hear a collision back, but don't nobody want to collide with him.
true true that's a big boy
Nebraska
Dylan Ryola became the center of a conversation
on social media during his squad matchup
with many believing he's tried a little too hard to resemble Patrick Mahomes
Mahomes was also her own hand yesterday at Arrowhead stated
when Kansas City when Ryola
Cornhuskers took on Cincinnati Bearcats
in the video booth, both arriving in Arrowhead went viral.
Many pointed out just how similar Ryola looked to Mahomes,
even down to what he chose to where to the game.
Is that the center used to be from Detroit's son?
The quarterback from Nebraska, Dominique Ryola.
Is that Dillon Raola?
Is that the center?
I think he was a center for Detroit.
Is that his dad?
Is that his son?
There was a sinner
His uncle
No, Dominique
Yeah, that's his son
Oh yeah, it is
Listen, if there's a person you want to replicate
There's a person you want to emulate
And you want to be like, shoot
He's doing, he replicating the right person
I mean, he can't help
I mean, maybe, I mean, from the gear, the outfit,
but he can't help if he looked like him damn only that but copy him copy him everything he does
why not they could be worse people worse person there could be a worse people yeah yeah yeah
i like you yeah look at it hey from a from his mechanics his thorn motion he got he'd be
doing all this too like i'm going when we want to play he got he got everything down
the whole nine yards
Well, damn, they mad.
I guess they were mad at Kobe when he tried to be like George.
You walked like him, he talked like him.
He had everything, copied everything down to the elbow,
to the knee sleeve pulled down over his calves.
Damn.
So there are worse people you can emulate.
There's a reason why Kobe's one of the greatest of all time ever.
Maybe, uh,
Dominic Ravel says, sir, Kobe, well,
maybe I can get me a couple years like that.
Oh, Joe, Jeremy Lynn, finally retired.
today. What NFL version
of a Linsanity? Tebow.
No. You think
whoa. Tibo.
Linsanity.
You said
it was a flash.
It was the NFL version of Linsanity.
Tebow.
Do you remember
Linsanity when he went to the next? I remember.
You was gone crazy. Okay.
Yeah. And Tibo. When he went
brocote that one season he got to the playoffs he had to the merrius tom the court
the dead right i mean that the the stick yeah yeah that's lincandity okay did
do anything anywhere else he went oh he was all right now but the lakers too now don't do that
he had he had a little shine with the lakers too now
so who so who who would be the NFL version of lincinnity
then. I said, Tebow, you disagree. I'm not disagree. I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I mean,
I'm trying to say this and I don't want to be disrespectful. Go ahead.
No, you know, I'm not going to, you know what? My grandma always told me, if you don't
had nothing nice to say, don't say nothing at all. I don't want to talk about nobody game.
What game? What you're going to say? I mean, what was Jeremy Lynn's weakness? Because they,
everyone thought Tim Tebow's weakness was his inability to do.
Consistency to throw the football.
So I just, when you compare it, I'm, I'm kind of nitpicking at the comparison.
I'm talking about the oral because L.N. Sanity didn't happen in L.A.
It didn't happen anywhere else, but New York.
And I'm saying Tebowism, and maybe people say he didn't get a fair chance or whatever the case may be.
But it was only in Denver for that brief.
period of time.
It was special.
Remember, you know what else is special?
Cleveland.
This young fella
played running back.
Matter of fact, his season was so good.
He ended up on the cover of Madden.
Oh, you're talking about Peyton Hillers?
There you go.
Yeah.
I kind of like that comparison
better because I don't know what.
Peyton Hillis came out of nowhere, boy, that season.
I forgot what year that was.
Oh, my.
But you got to realize he was.
was in the same backfield with uh-huh no no no no no he went to arkansas
uh macfadden and the guy that went to uh the first round pick of the cowboy
they was in the backfield together yes well was the other guy named the ruddy back he got drafted
the first round he went to dallas dallas uh had to be like oh with murray murray
something. DeMarco Murray.
No. No.
DeMarco Murray is from Oklahoma.
Darren McFadden
replaced DeMarco Murray.
McFadden got drafted by
the Raiders, I think, at 8.
What was the other guy named?
Chad, what's his name? You played for the Cowboys?
Yes.
Not Marriott. Felix.
Felix Jones.
He's Jones.
Wait, all three of them was on the same team?
Yep
Felix Jones
Peyton Hillis
Darren McFadden
God damn
that's a crazy
back deal
they would
they drafted them two spots
before Chris Johnson
they drafted them
two spots before
Chris Johnson
remember Chris Johnson
went to the Titans
okay okay
but they also took
you know
Jared does a great job
he took
Taco Charlton
he left T.J.
Watt on the board
but Jerry's great
at this thing now
don't let Jerry fool you
He did say he's the best person to run the team, huh?
Let me ask you a question.
Dale Hansen said something.
He was a former reporter.
He was a former in Dallas.
He asked Jerry, say, Jerry, in any other sport, name another team that would hire you to be their general manager.
That's if you could tell him somebody good about, Ocho.
Would somebody hire you with another team?
If you got fired, name a team in the NFL, name a team in MLB?
be name a team in the NBA that would
draft you to pick players for them.
Mm-mm.
Ain't happening.
It ain't happening, Captain.
Hey, listen.
He might miss a lot, but he got a few,
he got a few good ones now.
We got a few, especially when to come
to that 88, he got, he got a, he got a
string of 80s he put together.
Well, Ocho, you got to think about it.
He had no choice.
They were gone.
Hold on.
Did the CD go before or after Jefferson?
I think he went after, right?
Because you'll cause, you got to think about it.
Judy had already been gone off the board.
Jalen Waddle was already gone off the board.
Yeah, it went from the white receiver,
and it was.
Henry Ruggs.
Then Jerry, then CD.
ZD.
Then Raider.
Then Justice.
Wait, hold on.
All it went before JJ?
Yep.
Man, let me go get in the scouting department, man.
Hey, you know, oh Joe, man, you know when Henry Ruggs went to the combine, he ran four two.
You know what that do.
And Jew had all running when he won the Bolitnikov ward as a sophomore.
Sourcing people up.
So you could understand that.
Justin Jefferson, people didn't want to give Justin Jefferson no credit
because there's like, well, he was with Joe Burrow, he had Chase, he had this and that.
Okay.
No.
Turns out he just had been the best receiver in that draft class.
And C.D.'s been phenomenal.
But JJ's been better.
So.
But I like that.
I like the Peyton Hillers in Cleveland.
I like Tebow and Denver.
lent to a comparable NFL comparison to Lynn sanity.
Chat, what y'all think?
Former Buccaneers, not free agent, Shiloh, Sanders,
was fined $4,669 for unnecessary roughness
in the preseason game,
and it's Tampa final preseason game, Ocho, versus the bill.
He ain't made that.
He got it, though.
He owed the NFL.
He good.
He got it.
Nah.
Oh, he got it.
He good.
They took the man last check, Ocho.
Nah, he good.
Did he get re-signed?
Did anybody sign him?
Did they resign him to the practice squad?
No, because remember, they bought another safety.
Yeah.
Well, damn.
I was reading that he was doing good.
And next thing you know, he's not.
He does.
Damn.
I was sure hope he can squeeze out of year.
Yeah.
Get a little better.
Yeah, some time, no?
Somebody might pick him up still.
Yeah, you know, what don't you're like?
I kind of like want to, because I've been in OTAs.
I've been in many camps.
I've been in training camps.
I kind of know this system.
So I want to hit the ground running because I already got a head start.
I don't want to have to learn the system all over again.
I'm thinking.
I'm hesitating.
I don't know.
Like, son, get.
I mean, you got to do what you got to do.
I mean, hey, you don't have a job and somebody gives you an opportunity.
Hey, I got to learn on the fly.
It's not what I, it's not what I'm used to doing, but I'm a fast learner.
And that's why you have to look at it.
Shiloh said this week that he plans to get into music, acting, modeling after being waived.
Whatever he decides to do, I hope it works out for him.
You know, it's always nice to have backup plans.
You always got, you always got to have a plan B.
always got to have a plan B
I ain't going to lie with you
I ain't have no plan B
no
you ain't had no choice but to make it
I put all my eggs in one basket
and pray I didn't slip on the way to the market
to mess of the profit
I like that
I like that
I'm just being 100 with you
and I'm glad I went to a perfect
situation
I went to a situation
and people ask me this all the time
Shania are you thinking no
no
I went to a team
one of the three teams in the NFL
that had the H-back position
I went to a coach
that saw how hard I worked in practice
even though I didn't know a whole lot
but he saw how hard I worked
and I never really played special team
but hey son can you
can you play Gunner? What's a gunner?
I ain't know what no damn Gunner was
he's like you got a line out there
when we punt the ball you line out there
and you got to go you get to when they snap the ball
you can take off
I was like, I ain't never done it, but I'll try it.
Yeah.
Boom.
You up play kickoff return, son?
No, sir.
What I do?
Am I returning the ball?
I said, coach, I ain't never ran the ball back.
I mean, no, you up here blocking.
Oh, okay.
I'll do it.
You'll play kickoff.
No, what, I mean, I got to go down there and tackle somebody.
Like, yeah.
I say, where I line up at.
You know, I'm at, hey, they asking me these questions on you.
I don't know.
Where do I line up where we want you to be, you know, you line up, I'm under three.
So what I do?
Okay, this is your, you know, you're on the numbers.
You got everything, anything that come to the numbers.
And, you know, you see the guy coming away.
You try to knife it from the backside.
Okay.
Then I had a quarterback.
For some reason, he took a liking to me.
I don't know why.
He was patient.
When I was running the wrong routes, he never showed me up.
he's like and when I did something good
he would always tell me that's like you
he said you got you got ability
you can play in this league you just need to apply yourself
and that gave me so much confidence
that he an MVP
a pro bowl player
telling a kid from Savannah State
that I can play in this league and I got talent
I got a coach
that says hey we're going to find a place for you
I got a quarterback that
believed in me please that's all I needed to hear old Joe also I believed I could play
but I but you know what Ocho but to hear to here you know my spank telling me hey you
can do it hey remember hey you remember you blah blah blah man but when John told me that I
could play in this league and I could be special he told me I could be special oh Joe that
reassurance do something to you especially
especially depending on who you hear from.
If you hear from the right person.
A seventh round pick,
Ocho, from HBCU
and the quarterback that just came up,
the Super Bowl said,
you can be special.
Mm-hmm.
Boy, you couldn't hit me in the ass with a red apple.
I'm talking about a nice shining one, too.
Man, please.
It takes hand stuff like that
from the right person at the right time.
it makes it makes a difference
it makes a difference
it makes a difference
uh
uh
it'll work out
also veteran wire receiver
marquez valedale scantling
explains why he signed with the
49ers over the Steelers
it was between here
and Pittsburgh obviously
I have a good
good relationship with average rogers over there and he wanted me back over there so it was a toss up
50 50 had to weigh my option to see which one wanted to do which is going to be better for my
career at this point i was excited about it what you think ocho he picked the 49es instead
yep i mean i don't want to read too much into it he said he had a good relationship
what he played with erin didn't he agree yeah yeah yeah
I think I can get more opportunities down there, San Francisco.
I, you, Kurt, Ricky Purcell is there,
Joanne Jennings, obviously Marquez, about this.
They ain't like that loaded in Pittsburgh.
They got D.K., Calvin Austin, the third.
Come on now.
They throw the ball more over there in San Francisco, huh?
They throw the ball.
They throw the ball way more.
I'm not sure what the offense is going to look like in Pittsburgh.
But they can let that thing fly over there in San Francisco.
Yeah, well, not as you mentioned.
I mean, he played a number of years with Aaron.
But, hey, he said at this point in time of his career,
he felt he'd be better served in San Fran.
So he's in San Fran.
And on college football week, Ocho, do you remember your first college football game?
Oh, well, um, damn.
Oh, you're talking about Oregon State?
You're talking about Juko?
What we were talking about here?
Juco, I definitely don't remember.
Oregon State.
I forgot who we played week one.
Well, so you don't remember.
I don't.
I don't.
Hey, chat, can somebody look that up?
Oh, Joe.
Man, Chad, you already this man saying this man.
say we asked her, do you remember your first college football game?
The man said, I don't remember who we played the Oregon State.
So, therefore, one would assume or deduce from that statement.
Oregon State 2000, the year we went to the festival.
We asked you.
We ain't asked the chat.
I can't remember.
That's 26 years ago.
That's 26 years ago.
Who did Oregon State played?
26 years ago, not 2,600 years ago.
I mean, it's about the same.
I don't remember anything at the fact.
yes we played boy state boy state y'all won we won oh cho what you did
caught a bomb and got walked down at the one oh joe it was embarrassing oh joe oh yeah
i called a bomb it might have been i don't know it might have been like 40,
50 yards.
Might have been, I don't know, 36.
It was 36, 4.
It was a long, I got caught it to 1, Ocho.
Damn, well, wait.
How you got caught?
The safety of the corner.
I don't know what it was, Ocho.
It felt like I was, Ocho, I just remember I run it.
I ran, I ran, and, you know, he was, he thought,
I guess he thought I was going to do something else.
I nodded him in, he turned inside, and then I got on top of it.
Quarterback threw it.
I'm just running, I'm like, damn.
Oh, Joe, you haven't been out there thinking like,
damn this ball taking a long time to get down.
When you hurry up and cut down, damn, damn.
Yeah, I thought, I thought he pointed it.
But anyway, I wrote it.
Ocho, I called it.
And I was so excited.
I'm like, my first college catch,
I'm about to get a touchdown.
Damn.
And I'm mad.
I'm trying to.
I want to know who.
we played my first game at Oregon State in two that year 2000 i want to know how same thing
called my first call my first pass in NFL played the Pittsburgh i think we played
who do we my first catch the first game we played with the raiders i think the first
passing i called was against the steelers i think it on delton hall oh cho down to the one again
damn i have bad look oh choo
Man, I caught a pass against the Steelers.
I laid out.
John throwed it, Ocho.
I'm parallel.
Catch it.
They don't touch me down.
I get up, running it.
I cut, break back cross.
Yeah.
So I got the ball in my left hand.
I'm still farming dude like this here.
Dude hit me in the back.
I'll fumble the ball in the end zone.
My team may jump over to get a tight.
I did.
I said, damn.
Damn.
Hey, that's what.
But I,
but I,
Ocho, I'd have some bad luck, man.
I suppose that had a Ben had a 200-yard game.
I had a,
a, uh,
a,
120-something-yard game against Minnesota.
I get a false start penalty,
Ocho.
Catch it.
Catch it like a little,
uh-oh.
I come out the backside.
Hmm.
Hmm.
They push him out of the five.
I gained like 70.
They brought it all.
Ill league of motion on me.
Damn, oh, hey, I mean, I can look at a picture.
I can look at a card and I can tell you the game that I was in.
Yeah.
Hey, you know, I can do that.
I could do that too, my card because I wore something different, a different helmet,
my socks, my cleats, something was always different.
And I'm able to, to, to, to, to, to,
to tell exactly what game it was.
That's crazy.
Oh, a cat said my first game was
Eastern Michigan.
Y'all win or lose?
What you do?
Hey, chat, what I did against Eastern Michigan
in that first game?
You had one catch for four yards, don't you?
Yeah, shit me.
That's a lie.
The devil is a lie.
See, I had one catch in four yards.
No, it was Eastern Washington.
What were my stats?
Damn, I only had one kiss before y'all, for real.
I don't know what's talking about me, because I told you, we played Boyd State,
1986, Savannah State.
I think I, I had a bomb.
I caught a bomb on you.
I got tackled at the one.
I don't know how far it was.
Chad, how far was it?
If you can find it.
Damn.
Hey, hold on.
They said one cast for negative four yards.
You had negative four or two?
Hey, a minute.
Damn.
Were you playing on Oregon instead?
Are you playing with East of Washington?
I don't know what.
I don't know what.
I don't know what happened that game.
Well, I wish I had the schedule with,
if I played, if it was that bad,
well, I'm going to.
Nah, something ain't right.
Well, as chat, GPT, Ash,
Savannah State by first game.
First game against Bowie State.
Oh, yeah, I did have one for four.
I must.
Minus four.
Stop trying to add.
You try to add a inch to it.
You say minus four, too.
And who he played after that?
I mean, I can't even remember college.
At what point?
I don't know.
We're not going to the second game.
We asked you about the first game.
Yeah, I mean, at some point I had to start cutting up.
Hey, because I was hell at Oregon State boy.
It had me a good old time.
You got to remember, I was a one-for-one, huh?
That was it.
This is my time to shine on the big stage.
Hey, this is Matt Jones.
I'm Drew Franklin.

And twice a week, that is exactly what you're going to get.
We're just here to try to give you an NFL perspective a little bit different.
Did you see the Colts pretzel?
That was my other big takeaway from that game.
What was that?
Looks like something that should not be sold.
Oh, my.
So that was my other big Colts takeaway.
They sold that?
Yes.
Might want to go back to the...
At the Colts Stadium.
Yeah, I might want to go back to the drawing board on that.
Yeah.
I thought the shape we had with pretzels was working pretty well.
It's worked for generations.
We're just here.
trying to enjoy it. We hope you all
will join us throughout the year. And let's
go. I hope I'm as youthful as Pete Carroll
is at his age. He's a young 73.
He is a young 73. He is
Sprott. I wouldn't fight him.
I would.

ate some ate in some change
they don't have your stats
they got my stats
but Ocho was one catch for one yard
and one carrie for that I can't
damn why they even throw you the ball
and then you had one catch for one yard
and then you had one catch
one carry for battles four.
Hey,
hey, we had,
we had a,
we had a nice scar too.
We had a nice squad.
I'm gonna,
I'm gonna get my stats.
I know,
I know I had one cat
to that game.
And I know it.
21, 21.6 yards
per cats.
Yeah.
Who, you?
Because I average,
uh,
I average 21.2.
My senior year.
I had 61.
catching for 1312 yards and 18
tubs.
In nine games.
I'm going to put that out there for Yocho.
And nine.
Yeah.
Had three, two hundred yard games.
Damn.
Hey, I think Oregon State playing right now, I think we
losing two.
Well, I know y'all lost that first game
with them stats you put up.
We won. We won. Remember, we didn't lose.
We were undefeated until we
played udub we lost udub by a field goal and we played in the fiesta bowl we almost we were
we were underfeited though i think y'all beating old today with the fiaster bowl

it might be worse something i'm good
All right, Ocho, start, bench cut,
Florida ride receivers high school careers.
Michael Irvin, Andre Johnson, Anquine Bowdo.
Woo!
Okay.
Irvin was an all-state selection of senior season,
had just done 1,000 yards 12 touchdowns in 1983.
As a senior, Johnson caught 32 passes, 939-131 yards,
and with name Parade All-American.
Anquine was Mr. Football in the state of Florida,
became the first player in Florida high school history
to go of 11,000 yards in his prep career.
Well, I know who we keep it.
But Q was the quarterback.
They moved into where I received at Florida State.
I see, hey, listen, I've seen, I've seen, I've seen,
you said Andre Johnson, right?
I've seen Dre play at Miami High, man.
Dre was the real deal.
I mean almost
shitty average damn near 30 yards
The real deal
You know who else went to Miami High
Remember Roscoe Parish?
Yeah
Parish went to the high too
He played it
He was at Cleveland
Did he play at Cleveland?
He said Roscoe was at Buffalo
You know what you're right, Ocho
Because I remember he had scored
I was doing the highlights at CBS
And Roscoe he scored a touchdown
I said Rosco
You know because he'll
Roscoe
on the
Duke of Hazard.
Yeah, yeah.
But no,
Q was Mr.
football in the state of Florida.
If you missed the football
in the state of California,
Texas, Florida,
Georgia,
Louisiana, Ohio.
Yeah, you that boy.
You did.
Now,
there's some state aid.
You missed the football
in Montana.
I'm sorry.
Oh, you missed a football in Wyoming, I'm sorry.
But if you, especially the big, California, Texas, Florida, and Georgia,
if you fit the football at one of those both, now, those are the big four.
Now we'll throw Louisiana, we'll throw Ohio in there, you know, a couple of,
but the big four, Georgia, Florida, Texas, Cali.
Who, you did something.
I mean, you, you, you've really done.
something.
Ardo, we will get you out
here on this one.
Final segment of the evening
is time for Q and A.
Hey.

Yeah, Lee, who y'all played?
I think Edward Waters.
Edward Waters in Jacksonville, right?
Well, that's a small HBCU, huh?
I guess.
No stuff.
We did.
Look, all these schools that's having
that beat Savannah State just know
y'all ain't do nothing when I was there.
I don't know what happening now, but I'm just saying when I was there.
So all y'all talking, y'all be jumping about
jumping in chat about, we beat y'all, we beat y'all.
Not when I was there.
Fort Valley, all.
Benny, Moore House, Stigie,
all y'all talking, stop.
The only one that can brag
is Alabama and them, because I never beat them
in three years. In my four years,
we played lost to them all three times.
So, everybody else
don't make me pull the tape out.
Well, you still got that VHS tape?
No, I think
Basel. I think Pope got it.
More House,
Mo Brown, Clark,
Fort Valley
Skeegee
Albany State
gave everybody that word
I don't want to hear y'all say nothing
I got
I got to see the film
Ocho
I know I got to see the film
because you might be giving me
that Al Bundy story
nah bro
so think about it
if I did what I did in NFL
what you think I did at HBCU
I mean
I was the same size.
You do realize I was 225 pounds as a senior in college.
I got to see the footage.
Bet I would cut it.
I would cut duck.
Adam Smith said,
Arch Manning played like hard garbage.
He costed his team the game.
Not saying he can't improve,
but this is his third year at Texas.
I know something when he couldn't beat out Quinn Ewers.
Fans blamed Stark play calling,
but he was protected, Arch,
in his play calling because he looked terrible.
Defense kept him in it, gave Art the chance,
right to the wrong, but he blew it.
I blame sports analyst, especially Paul Feinbaum,
says Art is the best quarterback since Tim Tebow.
Bro, do you realize how many quarterbacks have been better?
Cam, Joe Burrell, Andrew Luck,
Baker Mayfield, Kyle.
Man, stop.
You purposely didn't say any of them names now.
Here's somebody, he's the best.
The Lord of mercy,
geez.
Bryce Young.
Lord, have mercy.
Now, you know.
Yeah.
Well, bitch young was before Tebow.
Tebow came out in, what, 2009.
So every quarterback from, from basically 2010,
he said Arch Manning is better.
So he's better than Cam,
better than Andrew Luck,
better than Joe Byrne.
Come on now.
Now you made me take the glasses off.
Better than Baker-Mayfield,
better than Kyle Murray.
Bro.
Bryce Young.
Yes.
Look, he's in his third year,
but this is really only like it.
He's really like a freshman
because he only started like four games
and he's playing.
He's starting against teams that, you know,
it doesn't matter who is the,
quarterback, Texas was going to win those games.
So now
he's starting and
they're going to be meaningful games. They're going to
have to go, you know.
What's Texas schedule looking
like?
Are they still doing the Red River rivalry?
Yeah. Okay.
So you got Oklahoma.
So we've got
three crowd games.
Somerese, Utah, San
Houston. The name in Florida.
Oklahoma, Kentucky, Mississippi,
bandy, Georgia, Arkansas, and...
Yeah.
So we'll find out a lot about them.
They got Georgia.
I mean, they got some games they should win.
They got three games, Ocho, they should win easily.
Hell, you or I could be quarterback,
and we probably win those games with me or I at quarterback.
But, you know, they got Georgia.
They got A&M on their schedule.
They got some, you know, Florida, Oklahoma.
So we'll find out a little more.
Dragon the abandoner.
Forget Arch.
This freshman at Cal,
this freshman quarterback at Cal is insane.
Who did Cal?
Wait, first of all,
who did Cal play today?
He said he's insane,
so I guess I don't know.
I need to know who they played first
before we think he's insane
based on the competition
he had to play against.
Put it on.
We're trying to pull it up to see what this quarterback at Cal
everybody be talking that he's, that, uh, dragon is talking about.
He better through for 500, at least 500.
They're playing right now.
Yeah.
And they're playing Oregon State.
Blue Wade.
Oh, they're playing your team.
They play in Oregon State.
How many yards are even through Flaiady?
It's 20, that's 29, three touchdowns, 235.
Oh, sure.
They're cooking, y'all.
That, hey, that's a quarterback.
31 to 9.
31 to 9, y'all losing.
They got a whole lot.
Because it's week one, that's all.
It's week one for them too.
So it ain't like if y'all week one for y'all and it's week 10 for everybody else.
They ain't losing no more game this year.
I could tell you that.
Probably not going to win anymore either.
Big Mike said,
Unk, respect.
Winters going to win.
That's what we do, bro.
That's what we do.
Truth speaks one-on-one said,
Unk, I believe the NFL is coming for Coach Prime Sun.
I think the thing is, guys, is that we got to realize his son's not him.
I think we want Shiloh to be the equivalent of his dad at safety.
We want Shadour to be the equivalent of his dad at quarterback.
And it's just not going to happen.
It's just not going to.
the Lord has really never blessed anybody that the father and son was, you know,
maybe a, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, body hole in Brett.
But for the most part, you're not going to get Barry Bonds Jr.
and Barry Bond senior being here, Ken Griffey Jr. and Quinn Griffey,
senior. You're not going to get that.
That's difficult.
Very difficult.
Yes.
Do y'all understand?
Do y'all, so God did you just want God to just like just dump all the talent?
This family here, y'all just here, just take it.
Brothers, possibly.
But father, son?
So y'all guess y'all expect Brady's son to be the equivalent of him, huh?
That's a lot of pressure.
Man, come on.
I go pick me another sport
I ain't playing football
if I do play football
I'm sure ain't play a quarterback
Dejan Donnelly said
who's going to have a better season between
Bryce Underwood and Arch Manning
I mean
that's going to be that's going to
I'm going to have to watch the young man play
a bucket
callman told me say he was playing pretty well
but I was kind of focused on the game that we're going to talk about.
There'll be a time that we're going to talk about the young man,
and so I'll make sure I'll pay attention to him
because I don't want to say, well, he, yada, yada, yada,
and not having seen anything that he's done, Ocho.
So I apologize for that, chat,
but Ocho and I take a look at him in the coming weeks
because obviously we're going to talk about him when they play Ohio State,
but we want to have a discussion about him before we get to that point.
So sorry, I can't even give you a fair assessment who's going to have a better season.
I watched Arch
I have not seen Bryce Underwood
But I'll get that
Yeah
Fins NJ said
Ocho did Carson Palmer ever call you out
Yeah hell yeah
I told the story on here
Remember I told you we were playing
We were playing the Steelers
And I think a ball
I forgot what it was
Ball might have been too far
somewhere and I couldn't get to it
and I took my chin strap and snapped it,
walking back to the huddle,
and Arsha was like,
if you ever motherfucker show me up like that again,
you'll never get another motherfucking ball.
That's what he said.
He knew the camera,
he knew the camera was on me.
Yeah, that was one time.
We never, we never.
John, he never.
All that stuff like this is on your hands up and all that?
Yeah.
Yeah, I really, I really, I really, I really did that though.
I really did that one time I was, I was trying to get that ball way.
Ocho, which team would win if they played against each other,
2016 Chino Hills, Jello, Mello, and Alonzo, or 2020 Montverdi Academy?
Who's on the 2020 Montverdy team?
and he got a question if you put Miami's 2001 Miami defense and
that defense how many games he's
wow was it who on there
uh Chino Hills team was Lanzo Mello and Jello
against Jalen Dern
Ryan Nimhard and Jalen Hood's Caffino.
If you put the 2001 Miami's defense and the 2019 LSU offense on one team, how many NFL games could they win?
Zero.
If they're in the NFL?
Oh, you're talking about in college.
Zero.
Zero.
Bro, y'all got us.
I am.
Ocho, we're not going to have this conversation, man.
I'm not going to get my little pressure up.
Because people actually think that a.
college team. Okay.
Not a chance in hell.
OJ.O.G.
underscore Thanos said, is Kailen DeBoer
already on the hot seat and second?
Yeah, abs are effing.
You think so?
Ocho.
That's Alabama.
They played Florida State.
Ocho.
That man has lost four
to four unranked teams
in two years.
Coach Saving ain't lose that many
in two decades.
I mean.
I want to you have to understand.
And what did it, what do they have at Alabama?
The standard is a standard.
I understand that.
I understand that.
J.1. Cal said,
how great would Georgia be if they had both
Jeremiah Smith and Ryan Williams?
They thought about,
I thought, I think Ryan Smith thought about
going to Ohio State, didn't he?
I thought him and Jeremiah thought about teaming up
and then the last second he ended up going to Alabama.
Oh, both of them juggled on the same team?
Who are the quarterback? How about that?
Can we get the quarterback?
Yeah, where is the quarterback from?
Who's the quarterback?
That's the problem.
Yeah.
Ocho, MSQ said,
how did both the Mavericks and the Cowboys
managed to trade away Luca and Micah in the same year?
Got a field for doubt.
Well, hey, I don't know.
But look, if AD can stay healthy, they did get Cooper flag with the number of an overall pick.
Kyrie probably not going to come back until after in 2026 or maybe January, February.
If he plays this season, Kyrie's going to want to be healthy.
And so, and I understand that, but Luca no Michaels, I think Luca is more of a, if I had to say, more of a transcendent, generational transformative player, guys like Luca don't come around, man. Come on.
I mean, Michael is maybe, you know, maybe, Michael is a top three or four player at his position.
Luke is a top five player in the NBA
regardless of a position
Uh, skeezy, CA said
Who wins a wrestling match?
Uh, or Ocho?
Ocho, you don't know how to wrestle?
I trained what could be for two years, man.
I trained with Kobe when it was preparing for
Connor McGregor.
What are you talking about?
Man,
Ocho, I ain't going to pick you and it's over.
But I put you in the guillotine and choke you out.
Man, don't do that, man.
This is what I do.
Ocho, you can't talk nobody out in wrestling.
I said wrestling, not M.
Oh, oh, okay.
My bad, my bad.
Because my ground game is phenomenal.
My ground, you know, I'm just.
Ocho.
Ocho, I'm going to pin you, Ocho.
Brody White said, oh, what made you hop on the phone and called the National Guard?
God of fans in New England was being unrued.
we were beating the brakes off of them too.
And, you know, we had come out of the game.
We was up ahead.
I think it was like probably like 10 minutes in the ballgame.
We were up like 31 to 7 or something.
And Mike said, that's it.
And it's like, sharp, Colts is better to you.
At the time, Ben Colts was on the, it was on the, on the Patriots.
And Ben and I was, you know, like I said, I had known Ben since college.
I was, he was the only person that I showed around on a visit when they came to Savannah State.
I recommend that he not come if he wanted to play his freshman season.
And so he ended up going to Livingston.
And Coach Davis said, damn, Holmes, I ain't going to help.
You show nobody around.
You got them going to go someplace else.
I said, Coach, I couldn't lie to him.
I said, Coach, are you going to move me to tight end?
He said, yes.
I said, do you think he can beat me out?
No, but he said lie to him.
We got to get good players.
So my bad.
I ain't know.
So the fans, they were on me saying coach was better than me.
we were beating them. So I was like, you know what?
I just picked up the phone. It just
red phone, because you already heard that the president
had a red phone. Ain't nobody ever seen it, but they said
the president got a red phone. I'm like, damn. So I was like,
hey, red phone. All the phones on the bench is red,
you know what I'm saying? Behind the bitch is red. So I just like,
hey, just picked the phone up and I hung the phone up
and it rang back.
That's what really sold it, though, Joe.
I was like, pretty chill.
Like I was talking to the phone, Mr. President,
hey, we need as many men as you can spare
because we are killing the Patriots.
So I need you to call these dogs, oh, please.
So I hung the phone up, say, hey, help is on the way.
And then the phone rings back,
and NFL films capture that moment.
And it was, it blew up from there.
They weren't very pleased with it.
Mr. Kraft told me, he said,
he wasn't very happy with me at that time.
Law and said, finishing up with the Cowboys docket
say it crystallizes everything you've been saying about Jerry,
Unk, enlighten the chat, what else you guys may know?
I don't know too much.
I just know Jerry, I just know Jerry, it's Jerry.
I don't, I don't know.
They do what they do.
Eagles and falcons, offspring,
their birds of prey.
What do they do?
They're going to hunt.
That's what they're going to do.
They're going to hunt.
And you can't break them of that habit.
Jerry has been who he's been.
You're not going to break him up that habit.
He just said he wish he had done things differently,
blah, la, la, la, and come to find out at the end of the day.
This is who Jerry is.
It served him well.
In business, it served him well.
He's wealthy beyond,
there's worth 12, 13, 14, I don't know, 15 billion dollars,
way more money than he'll spend in his kids, kids, kids, kids.
I mean, kids, kids, kids, kids won't be able to spend all the money.
But this is Jerry.
Fid Jets, Shannon Bartholomew Sharp.
Uncle Rico.
Law said, referring back to the topic about people staying together for the kids.
You're right, Unk, and it's our people for show.
I'm trying to grow together when I feel like she's continuously trying to grow apart.
Any advice?
Bro, I ain't, you don't want no advice from me by women.
No, I can't, I can't, next year.
Now, no, I need about 18 months.
Give me 18 months, Ocho, and I'm back.
You know, right now they revoked my license.
Oh, Joe, they took my license.
The two of my parents license.
I had a license.
I was counseling couples.
You're good.
You're good.
Listen.
Give it 18 months, chat.
That's too long.
That's too long.
It's too long.
Okay, next year.
What about next year this time?
Next year.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
2026, we start a new year.
Yep.
You can say whatever you want.
Yep.
Yeah, but right up right now, lawn.
I get it, you know.
But, you know, they took my license.
right now and I don't want to get them. I'm trying to get them back. So 2026, I'm going to
have my license back. So anybody that need to need some advice. Now, Ocho, you know, I can't
practice publicly, but if you come over, I could all, I'll offer you some, I'll offer you some
for advice. Uh, lucky Lucas. They don't sleep on Jerry Lidd. He earned over $65 million
dollars on nine year career. Also has a lucrative endorsement deal.
New York will always love Jeremy Lane, respect.
No question about it.
No question about it.
Tebow parlayed that,
he has a gig.
I think he still does the ESPN.
He does a lot of charitable work.
Peyton Hillis, I don't know,
Peyton Hillis was on the cover,
held off a contract,
and it just never materialized after that.
But, yeah, I mean, you,
the guy went to Harvard,
made a name for himself,
made over $65 million.
Hey,
great career.
Great career.
Not many can say they had insanity.
