You may know me as a gold medalist. You may know me as an NCAA national champion. You may even know me as a people's princess. Every week on my new podcast, Fudd Around and Find Out, I'll be talking to some special guests about pop culture, basketball, and what it's like to be a professional athlete on and off the court.
Starting point is 00:01:24 Listen to Fudd Around and Find Out, a production of iHeart Women's Sports in partnership with unanimous media starting August 7th on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Jake Hofer and this is Back 40, a limited series show on wire to hunt, part of Meat Eaters podcast network. Each episode, I'll be asking eight wide tail hunting pros a focused, thought provoking question about hunting and land management. How do I hunt the best part of the farm
Starting point is 00:01:52 with less than ideal access? Should you, that's what the real question is. Stand without good access is not a good stand. Listen to Back 40 starting July 30th on iHeartRadio app, Apple podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Oh Joe, going back to the Cowboys, Cowboys Pro Bowl guard Tyler Smith is not shy about
Starting point is 00:02:10 what he expects in 2025 as training camp begins this week. Super Bowl champions. That's always the expectation. I think it's a realistic goal. Yes, Smith said why? Because we can win a Super Bowl. Why not? Why can't't we win do you think it's unrealistic yes I do that's not nice but listen everybody has the ultimate goal everybody it's a clean slate for every NFL team every NFL team is going into training camp with the same end goal in mind we want the horse that Lombardi in San Francisco this year. Everybody does.
Starting point is 00:02:47 Now some teams a little bit more realistic and are built to be playing in February, to be making it to the postseason. Everybody in that NFC East, they've gotten much better. They've gotten much, the commanders got better. Yeah. The Eagles got better and were already good. The Cowboys, they made a little noise offensively.
Starting point is 00:03:09 Offensively. Yeah, offensively. They got George Pickens. This ain't just ain't no motherfuckin', excuse me. I'm sorry. This ain't no slouch. They've improved tremendously on the offensive side of the ball.
Starting point is 00:03:20 The issue wasn't offense last year. The issue was on the other side of the ball. And one of the key components to that defense, well, hell, you just talked about him like a dog in front of the world on how you really feel. And permitted to take a shot at your quarterback. Ocho, look what I got today. A knife?
Starting point is 00:03:44 Look what's on it. Boy, I only got one eye. I can't see that. It ain't for you. For the chat. Chat? What does it say? Chat? Hold on. Let me read the chat real quick. It's Hall of Fame. Number 267. I'm the member 267. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:04:04 And it says, Shannon Sharp, number 267, got album the member 267. Okay. Okay, and it says Shannon sharp number 267 got the Hall of Fame. I Think my brother might be 389 Got a pearl handle You want to buy it Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. I'm gonna let you have it. I'm not too fond and keen in memorabilia. I told you the one thing I want though.
Starting point is 00:04:33 What you want? I want that damn jacket I put on in that damn Ravens game. I can't find that. Now that I want. It was at the storage locker, they say. Man, man, listen, I wish it was. I've been looking for that jacket since that game in 2007. I ain't been able to find it.
Starting point is 00:04:54 Well, if you ain't been able to find it since then, you probably not gonna be able to find it. What do you think, Ocho? You think the Cowboys got a chance to, you know, the Eagles obviously loaded again. The Rams, really good. I think the 49 Eagles obviously loaded again. The Rams really good. I think the 49ers will be back. They'll be good.
Starting point is 00:05:08 Detroit, Detroit will be in that conversation. Green Bay, Minnesota. Yeah. Oh, I just, absolutely. Listen, the Cowboys, the identity is offense. They got some help. They got some help in getting George Pickens over there. They have a chance.
Starting point is 00:05:30 They have a chance. They just got to be able to stop people. They got to be able to stop people. You can't have what happened when you played Green Bay last year in the postseason. Wait, was that last year? Was that last year? Two years ago. They made the postseason last year.
Starting point is 00:05:41 They made the postseason last year, yeah. You can't have that happen You just can't you know, you hope everyone can stay healthy To give you a best chance to win all season long Despite what the owner said publicly, you know, I mean the Cowboys have not played in a Super Bowl since 1995 They also haven't reached the championship game in 30 years. That is the longest drought in the conference. Damn. So everybody that's in the NFC has gone to at least a championship game since the Cowboys. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:16 But I guess that's their year. Donald Trump wants Washington commanders to switch back to their old name. And if they're not willing to do so, the president has threatened to derail the team's plans to build a new stadium in Washington. Trump wrote on his social media page, True Social, I may put a restriction on them
Starting point is 00:06:38 if they don't change the name back to the original Washington Redskins and get rid of the ridiculous moniker Washington commanders, I won't make a deal for them to build a stadium in Washington. The team would be much more valuable and the deal will be much more exciting for everyone." Ocho, look what we found. Remember in 2013? Yeah. President should not be telling the Washington Redskins to change their name for our country. Has far bigger problem, focus on them, not nonsense. Huh. Hey.
Starting point is 00:07:12 Whoa, hold on, wait a minute. That's crazy. President should not be telling Washington Redskins to change their name. So what is Donald Trump currently? President. So he should not be telling the teens to do what, Ocho? Change the name. I mean, that's what he said in 2013. Yeah. Oh. Hey, Trump is something else, ain't he? He's something. I'm like, all jokes aside, Trump is something else, ain't he? He's something. You know, I'm like all jokes aside, Trump is something else. You know, there's someone that is sitting at the highest seat with that kind of power
Starting point is 00:07:53 and he does things in a different way than any other president can. Yeah. He does things in a way in differently than any other president. What they have no guard rails on. Everybody, I mean, you have to have undying loyalty, even though he tells a lie, you come out and you compound it by telling even bigger lies. It is what it is.
Starting point is 00:08:16 This is what 77 million people voted for. So I, look, I've gone through a lot of presidents from, I remember Gerald Ford when he took over for Nixon and he lost to Carter because he pardoned Richard Nixon. That's why he lost. But then Carter and then he ended up getting swept by Reagan and then Reagan won again. He beat my beat the brakes off Mondale in 84 I mean, yeah, he I mean
Starting point is 00:08:52 That was the most lopsided victory. I think probably in the history of Of elections. Mm-hmm It is what it is man. Hey, hey young young young bull is a gangster man. Yeah Listen, um, I don't think people understand. How do I say this without getting myself in trouble? I don't think people understand that people of that kind of power, that kind of power operate by a different set of rules, no matter what you say.
Starting point is 00:09:24 Yeah. No matter what you say, you can say this, oh, he got away with it. They operate by a different set of rules than everybody else. Well, it used to look, people laugh when he said he was, they're Martin Luther King, he didn't lie. He didn't lie.
Starting point is 00:09:44 He is. Different. He gave it lie. He is different. He gave it. It was okay to say whatever. Yeah, cuz a lot of times people thought it but you know, there was backlash for saying it. He made it. Okay to say it. Say what you see. You see what you just said. People thought it but they didn't what? They didn't say it. Jerry. What Jerry just came out and said. Will you think other owners don't think like that? Sure, for sure. What? They didn't say it. Jerry, what Jerry just came out and said? Will you think other owners don't think like that? Sure, for sure.
Starting point is 00:10:09 They will never, they will never utter those words publicly to let the players know this is how I really feel about you. Come on now. They changed the name. I mean, I've heard some Native Americans say, we like the name, it's a term of endearment. I've seen some say no, we wanted to change, whatever. I'm not losing sleep over one way or another.
Starting point is 00:10:39 But for me, it just took one person not to say, you know, to say, don't call me that. And I'm cool with it. I don't, like I said, I don't, I'm not losing no sleep over a name. Listen, listen, I'm not- If they feel, if they feel if it's derogatory, take off with it. Hey, listen, I saw a tweet, I put it up,
Starting point is 00:11:01 I put it up on Instagrams. You remember All In The Family? Yeah, Archie Bunker, yeah. Karl O'Connor, Gene Stapleton, Rob Reiner. Listen, yeah, me watching All In The Family and me watching Sanford and Son is why I'm not easily offended in today's world. Oh yeah, back then, I mean, look,
Starting point is 00:11:21 back then they said things. I mean, they said the I-G-G-E-R. Could you imagine All In Family running in today's society? No, absolutely not. Absolutely not. None of those shows, the Jefferson, none of those shows. He said- Oh, absolutely nothing. And it always, they had the ER.
Starting point is 00:11:42 Yeah, for sure. Proudly. Can you imagine the Dean Martin roast in today's society? I mean, they got a little bit of it with the Tom Brady, but that's kind of how you got away. That's kind of how you got away with the roast because you couldn't be as forthcoming and as open and saying things.
Starting point is 00:12:03 Like, because a roast, all bets are off. Yeah. The true definition of a roast, when you actually roast someone. Roast somebody, yeah. You tear them up. I know the chat probably isn't familiar with it, but just tonight, after tonight's show,
Starting point is 00:12:23 chat, y'all just do me a favor. Just go on YouTube and just type in Dean Martin Rose, Dean Martin Rose Sammy Davis Jr. Dean Martin Rose. Everybody, cause he was always the host. Frank Sinatra. And listen to the undertone, Will Chamberlain was on one episode,
Starting point is 00:12:44 listen to the jokes with the hard ER in the watermelon. They was cutting up. I mean, Lucille Ball, they had Lucille Ball, they had Tim Carweg, Harvey Gorman. I'm Harvey Gorman. Man, look here. They were tearing people up. I mean, they would say?
Starting point is 00:13:00 What? Bruh. Check out Behind the Flow, a podcast documentary series following the launch of San Diego Football Club. We go behind the scenes and explore the stories of those involved. San Diego coming to MLS is going to be a game changer because this region has been hungry for a men's professional soccer team. We need veteran players and we need young players.
Starting point is 00:13:25 Like, you're building a team from scratch. And so the succession plan of long-term success needs to be defined. We need to embrace this community. When I was 13, my uncle took me to a qualifier and we watched Paraguay against Chile, pouring rain, just watching the fans jumping up and down. I think that was definitely a watershed moment for me. Not only was that going to be my game, but it was going to be my life. Listen to San Diego FC behind the flow.
Starting point is 00:13:55 Now on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey guys, it's AZ Fudd. You may know me as a gold medalist. You may know me as an NCAA national champion and recent most outstanding player. You may even know me as the people's princess. But now you're also gonna know me as your favorite host. Every week on my new podcast, Fudd Around and Find Out, I'll give you an inside look at everything happening
Starting point is 00:14:22 in my crazy life as I try to balance it all. From my travels across the globe to preparing for another run at the natty with my Yukon Huskies to just trying to make it to my midterms on time. You'll get the inside scoop on everything. I'll be talking to some special guests about pop culture, basketball, and what it's like to be a professional athlete on and off the court. You'll even get to have some fun with the Fudd family. So if you follow me on social media or watch me on TV, you may think you know me, but this show is the only place where you can really Fudd around and find out. Listen to Fudd Around and Find Out, a production of iHeart Woman Sports in partnership with unanimous media starting August 7th on the iHeart Radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Jake Hofer and this is Back 40,
Starting point is 00:15:06 a limited series show on wire to hunt, part of Meat Eaters podcast network. Each episode I'll be asking eight wide tail hunting pros a focused, thought provoking question about hunting and land management. How do I hunt the best part of the farm with less than ideal access? Should you, that's what the real question is.
Starting point is 00:15:24 Stand without good access is not a good stand. Listen to Back 40 starting July 30th on iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. It wouldn't fly today. I think they had one episode and everybody became- That's it. That's it.
Starting point is 00:15:40 That's it. Yeah, for sure. And comedians, they've had to evolve because Richard Pryor, you think Richard Pryor is going to be up there and say what he's saying? Oh, I've- And Eddie? Yeah, Red Fox too.
Starting point is 00:15:54 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, you evolve. You don't have a choice. But look, the president, you know, look, he's like, change it back. But President Biden has already given the land and they sold the land for 99 years. So ain't nothing he can do. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:13 But I mean, what, why do you care? Yeah. Who cares? I don't care about a team's name. Who cares about that? So what? Oh, you stop watching them because they changed the name from that to the commanders.
Starting point is 00:16:28 Right. Who, so if they changed the name to the Lakers, you think, look, I'm a LeBron fan. I mean, I made that abundantly clear, but it doesn't matter name to me. I don't root for a name. I root for the player, I root for a team. Yeah. I don't, like you said, Ocho,
Starting point is 00:16:46 I don't get offended by that. Like that's their day. If somebody says that's offensive to me, that's good enough for me, especially from that community. I don't try to, you know what I don't, Ocho? I don't try to dictate other communities what's offensive to them. If they say, hey, don't call me lotion,
Starting point is 00:17:01 that's offensive to us, okay, I'm cool with it. Yeah, that's it. That's your community. You, I'm cool with it. That's it That's your community you get to police your community I don't want someone to tell me try to police our how we talk to one another, you know, bro. Stop Y'all do y'all thing how y'all talk, you know Gays it talk one way to somebody people from the Jewish community talk one way to somebody blacks talk one way to somebody Asians talk some way. I ain't into, hey, man, how you said I wanna be?
Starting point is 00:17:29 No, I've never heard someone getting into a disagreement, call someone from a group, a derogatory name, and thought, man, man, that show would be cool if I could do that. I ain't never did that on choke. Right, right. I mean, it's- It don't make no, I don't care.
Starting point is 00:17:46 Yeah, that's crazy. Matter of fact, now that I think about it, you know who just as bad as all in the family, just as bad as the Jeffers, a good times with being able to get away with it in today's times. Where they? Nobody but that's an I, South Park.
Starting point is 00:18:01 Oh yeah, South Park, they crazy, oh yeah, South Park. I don't know, I don't know who the writers are I don't know what kind of protection shield they have but Everybody gets a green light and everybody Races undertones Nobody's off-limits. It don't matter who you are. Oh, yeah, they get you now They gonna let it fly. Yeah. Yeah I haven't watched South Park in a very long time since I think Chef was Isaac Hayes
Starting point is 00:18:27 with the voice of Chef I think on South Park. What? Yeah. Wasn't Isaac Hayes the Chef? I'm almost certain that he was. So I haven't watched in a very long time. As a matter of fact, I haven't really watched a whole lot of TV that wasn't sports related. I got into Reacher and I watched Godfather of Harlem.
Starting point is 00:18:56 I watched a few shows. I watched the show with Russell Crowe and Idris Elba. I watched that. I was watching, I think I was watching something. I got started watching, I hadn't finished it with Charlize Theron. I forget the name of that movie. I think it's on Netflix or something.
Starting point is 00:19:18 But you know, I've been trying to watch TV, Ocho. Ocho, I'll go weeks. Without watching TV? Without watching TV. Weeks. So I know it's easy for you right now, especially'll go weeks. Without watching TV? Without watching TV. Weeks. So I know it's easy for you right now, especially with no sports. With no sports, oh.
Starting point is 00:19:30 And you know. And Wimbledon just ended, ain't no basketball. What about Summer League? You enjoy Summer League, no? I watched a little few highlights of Brawny. I wanted to see Brawny against Cooper Flag. You know, I wanted to see the maturation and improvement that Brawny had in this game.
Starting point is 00:19:43 So I watched a little bit of it, but. Right it, but now, you know, football season is right around the corner. Track and field the World Championships in Tokyo is in September. So we got a full slate, especially at the gate, which is I'm very excited about college football is gonna be here before you know it. Yeah. Well, wait, college football started in the end of football started in, we got a few days. I think what, the end of August?
Starting point is 00:20:06 Yeah, we got a few days. End of August. Yeah, ain't no football in July, Ocho. Oh, you know what? I'm talking about the other football, soccer, my bad. Oh yeah. Yeah, soccer starts. August 29th, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:20:21 They start their tour. Cause, hell, I'll be at the hall Yeah Hell no, we got no hell no, I won't be in the hall up this July. Yeah, what the hell I'm thinking Yeah, I'm like damn. No July July July. I'm going to the hall July. Oh August. Yeah, we'll be in full till I mean, but you know you have uh Oh August, yeah, we'll be in full till. I mean, but you know, you have preseason football. Right, yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:48 I mean, preseason, the first game is that Hall of Fame game that Thursday. So I asked him, who playing? Who playing this year? Who, the Chargers? The Chargers and who? The Packers? Lions and Chargers, okay? The Packers? Lions and Chargers.
Starting point is 00:21:05 Lions and Chargers, okay. Okay, okay. Oh yeah. We played the, I think we played the Lions one year. Go back and look and see, did we play the Lions in 91? I think we played the Lions in the Hall of Fame game in 91.
Starting point is 00:21:27 Because I know my first year we played Seattle in Japan. I'm almost certain we played the Lions. I know we lost. Oh, speaking of football, man, listen, even if you haven't been watching TV, I know you've seen that young bull on ESPN from the flag team. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:51 From the Jacksonville team. Which one, the one that caught them, the one hand? Man, this one, man. Man, pretty great, that thing like this. Ocho, it's funny, think about it. In 1991, we played in the Hall of Fame game. I go into Hall of Fame. I'm in the building.
Starting point is 00:22:11 Right. For real? 30 years later. Oh, that's crazy. That's crazy. That's dope. And now, 14 years later, after I go in, my brother's going in. That's dope. And now, you know, 14 years later after I go in, my brother's going in.
Starting point is 00:22:28 That's loud. Yeah, my mom is extremely, my mom extremely proud. I wish my dad and my grandfather could see this moment. They wouldn't believe it. That's dope. My grandfather would probably say, Mary, I told you the boy was gonna make something. Especially that little one.
Starting point is 00:22:49 My dad, I mean, you know, when you see dads come for like, for football game, Ocho and Udo, they have their dad. Hey, Charman, this is my dad. So say, how you doing, Mr. Such-a-Such? To have my dad, to have my dad to be in the locker room, to be on the sideline, to have my dad, to have my dad to be in the locker room, to be on the sideline, to have my grandpa, just to see it. My grandmother saw my brother's career, my career, saw it in its entirety. But my dad and my grandfather never got an opportunity to see that.
Starting point is 00:23:21 That's what I wish. That's what all the things I wish they could have seen what my brother and I became. I'm glad mama got to witness it. Grandma got to witness it. Ain't nothing like it, Ocho. Hey, I remember my grandma was like, mommy, like mommy. I used to call my grandma mommy.
Starting point is 00:23:43 I'd say mommy, man, you don't want to come to the game? He's like, chatty. She ain't never say chatty. She say chatty, I can't take them big boys hitting you like that. I'm gonna watch it on TV. I can't sit in them stands. I can't, I'ma just, you know.
Starting point is 00:24:01 That's what she talks, pause a little bit. No, I'ma just, I'ma just sit here and watch it on TV. But I'm proud, you know, as I talk, pause a little bit. No, I'm just, I'm just sitting here watching on TV, but I'm proud of you. Yeah. I'm proud of you. I said, all right. My grandma saw me in college, one game. Yeah, so make sure you watch,
Starting point is 00:24:13 make sure you pay attention, mama. When I scope, I'ma do something crazy. Oh man. Hey, but my grandma say, son, run for your life. Don't let him catch you Leave I told to run for his life Trust me. I'm trying to run for my life to graded cuz I know if they can't be gonna do something bad to me But uh, yeah, that's gonna be I mean I am
Starting point is 00:24:42 man, I'm super I'm I'm excited. I'm excited for my brother. I think brother. I think I'm more excited for him going in than myself because of what he means to me. According to former Alabama quarterback, Greg McElroy, a trusted source believes Saban is looking to return to coaching. Ocho, can you see Saban getting back into coaching? I can see Saban getting back into coaching
Starting point is 00:25:08 if someone gave him the heads up or gave him the T on them being, or them getting ready to put a restriction on NIL. Yeah, no, no, no, no. So listen, sort of even the playing field because Nick Saban left the game of football with the understanding that there was no- It was changing.
Starting point is 00:25:24 The times were changing. Yeah, it's different now. So unless you have a special booster with a lot of money to be able to get you the players you wanna get, I don't see any statement coming back. So unless he knows something that we don't, and he goes ahead of time,
Starting point is 00:25:44 I can see him coming back because now it evens the playing field. It evens the playing field. Well, when you was getting all the players, it wasn't an issue. But now the players are scattering all over the place when you're not getting all the talent. Jack, it's glitter on my face from the Kleenex
Starting point is 00:26:01 when I go off camera. So that's what that is. What? What glitter? I got glitter, I guess. Let me see here. Well, how the hell they see that I don't see that. Boy, chat got some good eyes, man.
Starting point is 00:26:29 I don't see no glitter. Yeah. I guess he's coming back to the NFL. Could you see him coming back to the NFL? I thought you said college. I thought he was coming back to coach and I was just asking, could you see him coming back to coach?
Starting point is 00:26:41 NFL? Hell no. College? Yes. coach NFL hell nah college yes I mean but listen nothing is nothing to change nothing they talk about putting the cap on it because before he left there wasn't no cap on it they talk about capping it you see some of these teams spending 20 25 30 million dollars what's good what's the cap gonna be you know oh sure you know they're gonna keep letting us make no money like that, right? Yeah, at least it gonna take some time, though.
Starting point is 00:27:12 Ocho. Yeah. You know that we're gonna keep letting us make money like that, right? Yeah, I hear you, I hear you, I hear you loud and clear. Okay. I hear you loud and clear. I hear you loud and clear.
Starting point is 00:27:29 Do you think he's still hot? I mean, think about it. I believe he's the greatest college coach. I'm old enough to remember coach Bryant, also at Alabama. He won six national championships. Coach Saban won six national championship. Gene Stallings won one in between. So they got 13 that I know of.
Starting point is 00:27:46 I don't know what they won, you know, they won how many they won before Coach Bryant got there, but I know they do have 13. With that being said, and many believe that he's the greatest college coach, you throw Coach Bryant in there, Coach Blood Wilkinson, Dr. Tom Osborne, Frank Leahy.
Starting point is 00:28:12 Check out Behind the Flow, a podcast documentary series following the launch of San Diego Football Club. We go behind the scenes and explore the stories of those involved. I'll be talking to some special guests about pop culture, basketball, and what it's like to be a professional athlete on and off the court. You'll even get to have some fun with the Fudd family. So if you follow me on social media or watch me on TV, you may think you know me. But this show is the only place where you can really Fudd around and find out. Listen to Fudd Around and Find Out, a production of iHeart Woman Sports in partnership with unanimous media starting August 7th on the
Starting point is 00:30:05 iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Jake Hofer and this is Back 40, a limited series show on wire to hunt part of MeatEater's podcast network. Each episode, I'll be asking eight wide tail hunting pros a focused thought provoking question about hunting and land management. How do I hunt the best part of the farm with less than ideal access? Should you, that's what the real question is. Stand without good access is not a good stand. Listen to Back 40 starting July 30th
Starting point is 00:30:34 on iHeartRadio app, Apple podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. You think he's bothered by the lack of success that he had in the NFL? You think he's bothered by the lack of success that he had in the NFL? No, he shouldn't be. He shouldn't be bothered by the lack of success because some people are successful in other areas. He's successful in college.
Starting point is 00:30:55 Yeah. That's where he's successful at. Even if he does get the opportunity to coach again in the NFL, you might run into the same problem because it's not guaranteed. They make even more money now. Yeah, and depending on where you go and wherever you do go, I hope you got a goddamn quarterback because if you don't have a quarterback, your stay is going to be short once again. It's going to be short once again. So if anything, I see Saban maybe going back to college, So if anything, I see Saban maybe going back to college. But again, he's coming right back to the same issues on why he left. Other teams outbidding you for players that you want to make you a better team.
Starting point is 00:31:34 Yeah. The playing field is even now. You got to play. You got to pay to play. You do. You do. I think he's having an unbelievable time doing what he's doing. You gotta pay the plane. You do. You do. I think he's having an unbelievable time doing what he's doing.
Starting point is 00:31:47 I mean, he's still close to the program. He's still recruiting for Alabama. His car dealerships are doing unbelievable speaking engagements. He's done a great job. He won an Emmy in his first year doing what he does. He's having, you know, he's making great money. I don't really see him going back. I don't.
Starting point is 00:32:08 It had to come from somewhere though. Oh, I believe it. It had to come from somewhere. I mean, yeah, I mean NFL, where is he going to go? What program can he go to? Ugh. LSU, go back to LSU, or Brian Kelly don't start winning. Texas, they got Sark. They just signed Sark.
Starting point is 00:32:30 Ryan Day is entrenched in Ohio State. Kirby is entrenched in Georgia. Where are you going to go? Wait a minute, contractually isn't his rights still with Alabama or that's not how it works? No, he's done with there. His rights deal with Alabama or that doesn't I work so he's done there But he still has an office
Starting point is 00:32:57 At Alabama. That's why I could you know, potentially see him maybe going to the NFL, but I don't see him going back to college, right? Damn But we'll never know, hey. We'll find out, we'll see. CJ Gardner Johnson cut his autograph session short after his girl said she was hungry and wanted to grab food. According to reports and a video that's circulating, CJ had a whole lot of kids waiting too,
Starting point is 00:33:25 but they got refunded. It must have been something else. Had to be something else. I know my nephew. I know my nephew. Even if she was hungry, there had to be a diary emergency because nothing come before the money. Nothing come before the money.
Starting point is 00:33:48 So anytime you sign up for anybody, that's like a payday. Yeah, but you know that, like I said, maybe you know something we don't. I mean, we're just going by with the video. I don't, it's my first time hearing it, but I'm sure there was a diary emergency on, because when it comes to making money, even something as small as signing
Starting point is 00:34:07 You're paid to sign Yeah, you paid to sign so if you had to up and leave in the middle of it. That's the emergency I guarantee you I Well, I hope it wasn't an emergency. It wasn't her saying. Oh, I'm hungry and using that's that's not the reason that you got a video we catch it. We can see it on the music, but the story goes on. Well, he said she's hungry. That's what he said in the video. I don't know. Yeah, whatever personal business was going on
Starting point is 00:34:39 or whatever emergency it might've been. But normally, look, you've done a bunch of these, I've done a bunch of these, I've done a bunch of these. Yeah. I don't do as many as I once did. Is that you understand, Ocho? Okay, I agree to sign 300 things, but they might have 500, 600.
Starting point is 00:34:56 I mean, I agreed to do a signing with 400, and I ended up signing 1,000. Woo. But you know what that means, Ocho? Yeah. I got double the money, time and a half the money that I was supposed to get. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:12 You know, people are like, oh, we don't know cause you don't sign that often. Would you sign, you know, this many helmets or this many jerseys? Sure. Yes. But you understood. I mean, look, we've all, you know, I don't know if you've done it, you understood, I mean look, we've all, you know, I don't know if you've done it, you know,
Starting point is 00:35:29 take somebody with you and explain them like, look, this could be an hour, this could be an hour, this could be an hour and a half, it could be two hours. This thing might be three hours according to how many items they have. Yeah, yeah, I do those solo. I do those solo. You pretty much have to Ocho because, you know,
Starting point is 00:35:49 just sitting there watching you sign, while somebody pulled a jersey, or pulled a picture, or pulled a helmet, pulled a football, the flats, that's not. Yeah. Everybody can't sit there and do that. Nah. Matter of fact, I was just thinking about, Yeah, everybody can't sit there and do that. No. Matter of fact, I was just thinking about the past two days, memorabilia.
Starting point is 00:36:14 Yeah. I hosted something on TikTok where fans are watching and they purchase memorabilia, but you don't know what's in the box until you pay for watching. Yeah. And they purchase memorabilia, but you don't know what's in the box until you pay for it. Right. And you open it, and then obviously you pull out the helmet or you pull out the gloves or you pull out a jersey and it's a player, whoever it may be.
Starting point is 00:36:37 Tom Brady, Jamar Chase, stuff like that. I did that the past two days and it's such a joy. I have so much fun doing that. I got to the point where I was pulling people jerseys and names like Eric Dickerson and Bo Jackson. I started calling people just to make it even that much more fun because I got everybody's phone number. So I pulled a Ray Lewis helmet that somebody won
Starting point is 00:36:59 on TikTok that's watching the show. And I called Ray, I say, Ray, what's up, baby? We just pulled your helmet and just showing them, showing them the chat. And I called Ray, I say, Ray, what's up, baby? We just pulled your helmet and just showing him, showing him the chat. I did Jamar Chase. Yeah, I was just at autograph signing with Chase. Yeah. I think it was, was it March?
Starting point is 00:37:14 It might've been April. Yeah. It was March. Or the beginning of April. Right. Yep. Ocho! Titans quarterback Will Leavis has elected to have season-endering surgery on his right shoulder.
Starting point is 00:37:36 The team announced. Leavis first suffered an AC joint injury while diving for a first down against the Miami Dolphins on September 30th. Leavis spent the off-season training with personal quarterback coach Jordan Palmer. injury while diving for a first down against the Miami Dolphins on September 30th. Levin spent the off season training with personal quarterback coach Jordan Palmer. The shoulder injury didn't appear to be an issue. Regardless, Cam Ward is now on the clock.
Starting point is 00:37:54 It's his time now, Ocho. What are the Titans' ceiling? The Titans' ceiling? You know what? I'm not sure. I know the Titans got Calvin Ridley. I know that. I know the Titans got Calvin Ridley. I know that. I know the Titans have Cam Ward.
Starting point is 00:38:07 I know Cam Ward turned that University of Miami program around. Can Cam Ward replicate and duplicate what CJ Stroud did for the Texans? Can Cam Ward come in there and replicate what Jaden Daniels did for the- Does he have the talent in Tennessee like they had in Washington or like they had in Texas and Houston a
Starting point is 00:38:29 Nico Collins or tank Dale Wait a minute. Stay with me CJ Stroud had Nico Collins tank Dale and Ward and tank Dale cam Ward has Calvin Ridley His his player for Miami that he specifically asked for. Mm-hmm. He has Calvin Ridley. His player from Miami that he specifically asked for. He asked Calvin Ridley. I'm not sure who the other receiver is on the other side, but. Traylen Burks, the one they traded AJ Brown away for and take the number in the first
Starting point is 00:38:55 round in Arkansas. I think I'm hoping. I just want him to be successful. Can Ward is the first number one pick in the history of me watching the NFL, even when I was playing in after, that wasn't talked about like other first round picks because all the attention and media coverage went to Shadour Sanders.
Starting point is 00:39:15 Yep. Amazing. It's the same thing like Bronnie James. Cam Ward just flew right up under the radar the whole time and he was the number one pick. The way they talk about Bronnie James, you'd have thought he'd have been the number one pick. Yeah. It's the same thing. Do it your door and everybody forgot like hold on damn uh uh Cam Ward went number one. Mm hmm.
Starting point is 00:39:36 Oh you know I it's it's I'm excited for him. I'm hoping I'm hoping I'm hoping I'm hoping because Tennessee needs a quarterback. Tennessee needs a quarterback. They need a quarterback for their franchise that, you know what, boom, we finally found one. The last consistent quarterback that they had, consistent. Okay, we got our guy. Am I wrong to say Steve McNair or am I trippin'?
Starting point is 00:40:03 Well, VY was pretty good. You remember VY? Vince Young? Okay, Vince. Wait, how long was Vince there? She probably about four years. He was rookie of the year. Right, yes.
Starting point is 00:40:16 He won, they had the number one seed and they ended up getting beat. Why was it only four years, huh? Him and Fischer. From the Ram. The coach from the Ram. They years, huh? Him and Fischer. The coach from the Rams, they didn't get along. Jeff Fischer. Jeff Fischer, yeah, okay.
Starting point is 00:40:30 Was he more than there five years? Was he four or five years? Damn, man. Damn, that's crazy. Hey, Vince was nice, boy. Yeah. Vince was nice. Cause he Yeah. Vince was nice. Cause he was there with C2K.
Starting point is 00:40:49 Yeah. Oh yeah. It was the five years. And remember the story that he was suicidal and he had to call the police. Nobody heard from him. Nobody had seen him. Vince? It was just a he had to call the police. Nobody heard from him. Nobody had seen him. It was just a whole lot of mess, yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:09 Oh yeah, I don't remember that stuff. It was a whole lot of mess. But Cam, you're on the clock, bro. Good luck. How you been, everybody? Carly, Erce Gordon believes 23-year-old Anthony Richardson can still play well enough to justify the Colts lost the expectations for him before the draft.
Starting point is 00:41:28 Where he is in his career and the deal as a rookie, we still have time. He still has time to prove it, bring a sense of urgency and nothing brings a sense of urgency more than competition. But before Richardson can prove it on the field, he has to prove it in training camp by beating out Daniel Jones in the Colts quarterback competition. AR career completion percentage is just 50.6%. He has 11 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
Starting point is 00:41:58 Listen, he has to prove it more than just on the field. He has to prove it more than just in the field. He has to prove it inside the building. Showing the coaches that you're serious about wanting to be quarterback number one for this team. It ain't about just doing it on the field, in the fair room, being the first one to get there, being the last one to leave that building. When it comes to everything else,
Starting point is 00:42:25 he's always been injured a lot, right? That building, you know, when it comes to everything else, just, he's always, he's been injured a lot, right? So treatment, getting treatment, doing it, being on time, not missing those, doing the extra work, staying after practice. Don't leave it. There are so many different things. See, the precedent has already been set on what it takes to be a great quarterback with Peyton Manning all of them I mean I'm the quarterbacks
Starting point is 00:42:50 Oh Joe they get in treatment they got their playbook hey you have to want it you got to want it the same the same want let's see I'm sure he has a hobby I'm not sure what his hobby is but whatever whatever that hobby may be, football got to come first. But the same joy and passion and love you have for that hobby, you got to pour it into football. Whatever your hobby, that's going to be there. Oh, it's going to be there. Because the bulk of money that can be made, it come from this.
Starting point is 00:43:20 It come from this. You got to understand that. So listen, the writing is on the wall. Check out Behind the Flow, a podcast documentary series following the launch of San Diego Football Club. We go behind the scenes and explore the stories of those involved. San Diego coming to MLS is going to be a game changer because this region has been hungry for a men's professional soccer team.
Starting point is 00:43:48 We need veteran players and we need young players. Like, you're building a team from scratch, and so the succession plan of long-term success needs to be defined. We need to embrace this community. When I was 13, my uncle took me to a qualifier, and we watched Paraguay against Chile, pouring rain, just watching the fans jumping up and down. I think that was definitely a watershed moment for me. Not only was that going to be my game, but it was going to be my life. Listen to San Diego FC Behind the Flow, now on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. me as your favorite host. Starting point is 00:45:16 Listen to Fudd Around and Find Out, a production of iHeart Women's Sports in partnership with unanimous media starting August 7th on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Jake Hofer and this is Back 40, a limited series show on wire to hunt part of Meat Eaters podcast network. Each episode I'll be asking eight wide tail hunting pros a focused, thought provoking question about hunting and land management. How do I hunt the best part of the farm with less than ideal access?
Starting point is 00:45:46 Should you, that's what the real question is. Stand without good access is not a good stand. Listen to Back 40 starting July 30th on iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. You talk about nothing brings the best out of someone, like competition? Well, this is more the competition
Starting point is 00:46:04 because they just paid someone where it didn't work out in goddamn New York and they just bought somebody for one year with 14 million. That's basically telling you your job is in jeopardy or they already written in stone that your job is already is. And no matter what you do, you might not be able to beat them out.
Starting point is 00:46:22 Yeah, you're right. And if you don't win the starting job here in Indianapolis, the change- Oh, you might not be able to beat him out. Yeah, you're right. And if you don't, if you don't win the starting job here in Indianapolis, Oh, you gone after this year if you don't win the starting job. Matt, you won't be a starter again, in general. Well, you ain't gonna be no starter in Indy if you don't beat Daniel Jones out.
Starting point is 00:46:38 Cause it don't make no sense to keep you. And you look at all the other 31 teams, they're set at the quarterback position. They're set at the quarterback position. See the nah never, Ocho. Yeah. Nah never. I hate saying that too.
Starting point is 00:47:04 Hate saying that too. I hate saying that. It's just the reality of it. They put a lot into you. They drafted you a lot on potential. Yeah. Because it was never, it wasn't a situation where you were polished. Everybody knew you were a project.
Starting point is 00:47:21 And then they said that going into the combine, but then as big as you are, as strong as you were, as fast as you ran, you shot up the draft board. You can't pass up on that. You just can't, especially the way scouts think. Especially the way arms think. We can't pass up on that. The thing is Ocho and I get it, but he hasn't gotten any better.
Starting point is 00:47:46 He was a project in high school. He was a project in college. He's a project now. He's like that church building fund. That thing ain't never been completed. And we still pouring more money into it. And the church building fund and the building has never been complete. Not the church building fund.
Starting point is 00:48:06 You know, in our community, we know everybody know about that building fund and that's that building ain't complete yet. And they still take it up money every day of four Sunday. That's Anthony Richardson, your church building fund. He ain't complete yet. Oh, I don't know if he'll ever be complete. Oh, Joe. Right. I'm hoping. I'm hoping he got all the resources. He got all the tools. Bro, look at what he got at Indy. He got everything. You got everything you need. Downs, Pittman Jr. Alec Pierce. You got Jonathan Taylor. Uh very
Starting point is 00:48:47 good offensive line. Yeah, man. Come on, bro. Yeah. I'm hope I ain't got no he don't got no slouch uh uh uh uh uh uh uh skill players around him now. No, absolutely not. Absolutely There ain't no excuse. None. I can see Ochoa, he said, well, he don't really have nothing around him.
Starting point is 00:49:10 Come on, Ochoa, I mean, he needs a, bro. Right. Nobody in their right mind can say this man does not have talent around him at the skill position. You look at the wide receivers, he still has a top five running back in Jonathan Taylor. He has a solid offensive line. Ain't no reason for him to underachieve like he's been underachieved. Now I get it.
Starting point is 00:49:30 He's been hurt, but bro, if you get your opportunity, you better seize the moment. Yeah. This might be your last chance in ending. Yeah. last chance and end it. Yeah. Ocho, a video circulating of KP Kelsey Plum appearing to call out Caitlin Clark at the WNBA All-Star weekend.
Starting point is 00:49:53 Take a look at this video. That was a very powerful moment. We didn't, at least as players, we didn't know that that was gonna happen. So I think it was kind of like a genuine surprise, but the t-shirt, just United front was determined this morning that we had a meeting for. And, you know, not to, not to tattle tale,
Starting point is 00:50:17 but zero members of team Clark were very present for that. But no, we were just, we had a very- I really needed to be mentioned. I'm trying to make a situation light, okay. But yeah, no, I think it was just all of us getting on the same page for the game. We wanted to do something that was just united and collective and I thought that was a very powerful moment
Starting point is 00:50:39 and got the point across and sometimes you don't have to say anything. Yeah. She tried to make light of the situation. Look, I like KP. She was great when she was here. I saw them play last year out here in Vegas. Kay like, whoa, whoa, whoa. Ain't nobody ask you that.
Starting point is 00:51:01 Don't do that. Don't do that. What'd you think? Something or nothing? Nah, ain't nothing. Okay. Ain't nothing. But obviously you, you know.
Starting point is 00:51:13 Anytime you mention Cece's name, you already know what it's gonna get. Good, bad, or indifferent. Right. Yeah, but she did the best she could to make life in this situation. Yeah. It's did the best she could to make Elijah the situation. Yeah. It's just like, you know, certain LeBron,
Starting point is 00:51:29 you mentioned LeBron, you already know what's coming with that. Yeah. You know, some people just are polarizing. Yeah. That's the term, polarizing. And that's Kaitlyn Clark. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:48 Hey, y'all have to play some D next year though. Y'all get like the NBA. Ain't nobody come to see no 130, how many points did they score? Like 130, 140 something? Yeah, come on now. Now don't get like the NBA now. No, no, no, no, no, no, no
Starting point is 00:52:11 No, we're not 151 131. No No, no, no, no, no, no, no Come on ladies Come on y'all you starting to build a following Come on, y'all, you're starting to build a following. 151 ain't gonna do it. Keep it exciting, keep it fun. LeBron thinks the NBA should give an offensive player of the year award similar to the NFL. I did think about how the NFL does offensive player of the year in MVP.
Starting point is 00:52:41 I thought that could possibly be something in our league where you give an offensive player of the year and MVP, I thought that could possibly be something in our league where you give an offensive player of the year and an MVP. It changes. It's like, okay, so it's the best offensive player or maybe it's the player who had the best season with their team. Maybe that's an offensive player of the year or just simply the best player in the league statistically that was the best player in our league. Obviously you're not going to have someone whose team didn't come close to making the
Starting point is 00:53:04 playoffs is not the most valuable thing. What you think, Ocho? I mean, it's cool to acknowledge, you know, said individual or said player. They had the sixth man of the year. You got six men of the year. You got the scoring title. Yeah. Damn.
Starting point is 00:53:22 How many awards y'all want to give? I think I think it's enough but but add one more to to to to pay homage to someone that that that played well and an honor winning team that might have fell short of winning a championship. Well, that's the MVP. It's not a bad thing. It's not a bad thing. I mean, the MVP doesn't always win the championship. Right. Sometimes they get knocked out early. That is true. That is true.
Starting point is 00:53:54 Yeah, I don't think we need to give out any more awards. I mean, you know, now they getting, you know, defensive lineman of the year. They getting offensive lineman of the year. That damn. Yeah. Now I do like that one though, for the offensive lineman and the defensive lineman. I don't think they got a offensive lineman of the year. That damn. Yeah. Now I do like that one though, for the offensive lineman and defensive lineman.
Starting point is 00:54:07 I don't think they got a defensive lineman. I just made that up. Yeah, offensive lineman. I just made that up, Bocho. I like, I think it might, if I'm not mistaken, it might've been Deion Dawkins idea. Yeah, but they do have an offensive lineman of the year. Yeah, I like that though.
Starting point is 00:54:22 But I mean, I don't know. What you thinking? It's up in the air. I like it. It's cool. Not necessary, but it's cool. He has his reasons on why, but I think they have enough awards
Starting point is 00:54:36 for those that have done their part. Right. I agree. I don't think the NBA needs a... Y'all get, what you call them, y'all get a Lab Bird and a Magic Johnson award for winning the conference. No player gets that.
Starting point is 00:54:53 NFL doesn't give out awards for winning the conference. I think we sit on the awards. Let's not dilute the ward by adding more. You dilute it. And it's different. A guard can win the MVP, a center can win the MVP, and basketball forward. For the most part, it's going to be a quarterback. Right., he's gonna be a quarterback. Right. He's gonna be a quarterback. Shea won the MVP.
Starting point is 00:55:31 Jokic won the MVP. Embiid won the MVP. Giannis won the MVP. Wairis-Leave ain't winning no MVP. Oh shit. Ty D ain't winning no MVP. You know how well you have to do to win the MVP at that position?
Starting point is 00:55:47 That's the- You get off as a player of the year. Jared's won a couple of those. Run it back. I mean, now in today's game, it's virtually impossible. Unless you rush for 2,000 yards and 27 touchdowns. Touchdown? Gotta be some astronomical, something extraordinary.
Starting point is 00:56:04 Yes. Because if a receiver has, you got three receivers that have 3000 yards, your quarterback gonna have damn near 5000. And he's gonna have 40, 50 touchdowns. So guess what, he gonna win it. And the MVP, yeah. So, yeah, I think it's different, I think it's easier. Cause look, in baseball, a catcher could win the MVP,
Starting point is 00:56:25 a first baseman, second baseman outfielder. Hell, we've seen pitchers win it. Yeah. Now I don't think we ever gonna see another defensive player win MVP unless he goes 30 sacks. LeBron also reportedly wants a farewell tour before retirement. But he's going to get that anyway. It goes without saying.
Starting point is 00:56:51 He's going to get that anyway. Yeah. All the greats have gotten a farewell tour. But you got to tell people that's going to be your last year. Yeah. He's going to get one. Like Kareem. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:04 Kareem told people. Yeah, he's gonna get one like three Yeah dream to old people I Think bird got one didn't bird, you know, I think they had rocking chair for bird or something but everybody look that's reserved for the The few the greats. Yeah, he's one. He's gonna get one He didn't have to mention wanting a fair world those. No, he's gonna get one. He didn't even have to mention wanting a farewell tour. He's gonna get that regardless based on what he accomplished.
Starting point is 00:57:31 Bird didn't have one? Wow. Yeah. But you know, because Michael Jordan didn't have one, so that means LeBron shouldn't want one. Cause everything, anything LeBron, you know, now they sell LeBron on the golf court. Well, he only playing golf cause Michael Jordan play.
Starting point is 00:57:57 Like that bad kid have a highlight, you know, a lot of athletes, they get into golf because this, you know, competitively get an opportunity to get out there and compete with their buddies and drink and have a good time. And if I'm not mistaken, golf, the golf course is where business deals get done. A lot of them. When it comes to business, we know LeBron is one of the savviest areas in the world at it. So him using golf as a way to conduct business instead of being in a cold meeting room, so be it.
Starting point is 00:58:30 CP3 is resigning with the Clippers, Ocho. Social media was quick to point out the team's ages. Kawhi is 34, James Harden is 36, Bradley Beale is 32, CP3 is 40, Brooke is 37. Batum is 37. Damn. Oh, like varsity team, huh? They seasoned. Yeah, they seasoned. That's a good and a bad thing. That's a good and a bad thing. Mm-hmm. That's a good and a bad thing.
Starting point is 00:59:06 I like to see CP3. Everything is predicated on Kawhi. Yeah. Kawhi is healthy. They'll be there at the end. Yeah. I mean, if he's not, they're not doing anything. Goddamn, Brad.
Starting point is 00:59:19 Hey, they got a nice squad, too. I'm just looking at the names. It's one thing, you know, that can trick you when you have the names, but how do they play as a unit? How do they play as a unit? Check out Behind the Flow, a podcast documentary series following the launch of San Diego Football Club. We go behind the scenes and explore the stories of those involved.
Starting point is 00:59:47 San Diego coming to MLS is going to be a game changer because this region has been hungry for a men's professional soccer team. We need veteran players and we need young players. Like, you're building a team from scratch. And so the succession plan of long term success needs to be defined. We need to embrace this community. When I was 13, my uncle took me to a qualifier and we watched Paraguay against Chile pouring rain, just watching the fans jumping up and down. I think that was definitely a watershed moment for me.
Starting point is 01:00:18 Not only was that going to be my game, but it was going to be my life. Listen to San Diego FC behind the flow. Now on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey guys, it's AZ Fudd. You may know me as a gold medalist. You may know me as an NCAA national champion and recent most outstanding player. You may even know me as a people's princess, but now you're also going to know me as your favorite host. Every week on my new podcast, Fuddle Around and Find Out, I'll give you an inside look at everything happening in my crazy
Starting point is 01:00:54 life as I try to balance it all. From my travels across the globe to preparing for another run at the Natty with my Yukon Huskies to just trying to make it to my midterms on time, you'll get the inside scoop on everything. Listen to Fud Around and Find Out, a production of iHeart Women's Sports in partnership with unanimous media, starting August 7th on the iHeart Radio app,
Starting point is 01:01:31 Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Jake Hofer and this is Back 40, a limited series show on Wired to Hunt, part of Meat Eaters podcast network. Each episode I'll be asking eight wide tail hunting pros a focused, thought provoking question about hunting and land management. How do I hunt the best part of the farm with less than ideal access? Should you? That's what
Starting point is 01:01:53 the real question is. Stand without good access is not a good stand. Listen to Back 40 starting July 30th on iHeart radio app, Apple podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. on iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. No, but they got they got a 40 year old, two 37 year olds and a 36 year old. It's a lot of basketball. Mm hmm. It's predicated on Kauai needs. Kauai needs can hold up.
Starting point is 01:02:24 They got a chance to be there at the end. Do I think they're better than the Thunder? No. Do I think they're better than the Nuggets? No. Especially with now they got Cam Johnson in there and Michael Porter Jr. is elsewhere. No, I don't.
Starting point is 01:02:41 I'm not sure they're better than the Lakers. Are we sure? Are we sure they're better than the Lakers? I'm not sure they're better than the Lakers. Are we sure? Are we sure they're better than the Lakers? I'm not. You don't think so? I mean, the Lakers are better than the Lakers. I want to see the Rockets. Look, I think the Rockets are going to be really good.
Starting point is 01:02:58 I'm anxious to see KD and Thompson and Van Fleet and Shingoon. I'm anxious to see those guys. Dallas would be serious if Kyrie was back, but I don't think Kyrie is gonna play this year. I really don't. I don't think Kyrie is playing until the 26th, 27th season. And I don't blame him.
Starting point is 01:03:24 Yeah, don't come back. After years of house rule debates, Uno has officially confirmed, yes, you can end the game with a power card. Whether it's a skip, reverse, draw two, or even wild draw four, it is a legal final move. Yeah, but wait. Next player still has to draw,
Starting point is 01:03:46 but the game ends immediately. Well, that happens always. Only if the card that's laid down is the same color. Yeah. That's always been the case. But they said it couldn't be a power card, which is a skill reverse draw to or anything else. Yeah, but it can if the color matches
Starting point is 01:04:08 that's laid down beforehand. So the person that goes before me, let's say they throw down a two and the two is blue. Right. And I have a blue draw four, I mean, not draw four. Yeah, or draw four. Draw, but it's not blue, it's a wild color. So it has to be a draw two to be the color or a wild draw four. Well, it's not blue, it's a wild color. So it has to be a draw two to be the color or a wild draw four.
Starting point is 01:04:28 Yeah, you can end the game like that. You've always been able to do that. And I can tell you right now. But you know, y'all been changing the rules. Because sometimes y'all say, no, you can't end on the power card. I play old school. I play old school rules.
Starting point is 01:04:43 And if I'm not mistaken, Uno will be in casinos starting in... No, Uno said that was not the case. Somebody made that bull job up, Ocho. Who? It's social, Ocho. We're not the money kids. It's social, Ocho. You ain't going to be able to play for no money.
Starting point is 01:05:02 Oh, that wasn't real? No. Oh, that wasn't real? No. Oh, hell no. Ocho, we have some sad news today. Malcolm Jamal Warner, who played Theo Huxtable, which reportedly died of an accidental drowning. He was 54 years of age. He leaves behind a wife and a daughter.
Starting point is 01:05:25 The Cosby Show, one of the most popular shows in sitcom history, television history. He was the son, actually he was the only son to Cliff Huxtable, who was played by Bill Cosby. And the wife was Felicia Hogan. to Cliff Huxtable, who was paid by Bill Cosby. And the wife was Felicia Restard. Claire, I think her name was Claire Huxtable. Yeah, yeah, Ms. Huxtable, yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:55 Malcolm Jamal Warner, gone at the age of 54, leaves behind a wife and a daughter. Our thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family and all those impacted by this. Rest easy, rest easy, bro. What life, man. It's fickle. Ain't no promises.
Starting point is 01:06:18 It doesn't hit you too, most of the time. You see these deaths of actors and actresses and people that you've watched growing up and You get sad about it and then you move on and life and how fickle it is It doesn't it's really doesn't hit home until there's somebody that's close to you. Yeah It doesn't hit home like it does unless there's somebody close to you and understanding It get you never know when your expiration date is you just never know no so you always and that's not and that's not by accident yeah because see you prepare you get right if you knew you had a day if you had a month if you had a year mm-hmm yeah I just I need more people need to be able to enjoy,
