Starting point is 00:01:34 And I'm C.J. Toledano. It's our favorite time of the year on our podcast, Point Game, the playoffs. We're digging into the biggest surprises of the season. And I'm looking back on some of my greatest playoff moments. If we didn't talk ever again, I was part of it. You just understood. That's how personal it got. Wow. Then after that game seven, Marquis come in to you, he's like, you know I love you, dog. You know, it's all love. This was just playoffs. This was just basketball.
Starting point is 00:01:57 So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. And here's Heather with the weather. Well, it's beautiful out there, sunny and 75, almost a little chilly in the shade. Now, let's get a read on the inside of your car. It is hot. You've only been parked a short time and it's already 99 degrees in there. Let's not leave children in the back seat while running errands. It only takes a few minutes for their body temperatures to rise. And that could be fatal. Cars get hot, fast, and can be deadly. Never leave a child in a car. A message from Nitsa and the ad council. What you mean as a coach or as a player?
Starting point is 00:02:34 Hold on. Cheryl Miller on NBC today said right now is frustration and unfortunately it's boiling over and it's being seen. It's one thing to have it behind closed doors. But when it spills over, when the coach has to say basically, hey, you know what, Caitlin, enough is enough. This is too disruptive in or out. Take a seat. I listen.
Starting point is 00:02:59 I respect coaches like that, bro. When you can challenge your best player, and your best player responds. I ain't talking about it in a way to where. It seems like they got an attitude and they don't want to do it. But, you know, maybe you're right. Let me lock in. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:03:14 Like, I ain't, the back and forth is not a bad thing to me, fellas. You know, it happens from time to time. When you police some players, this is what comes with it. And if you can't police your best player, bro, then it's always going to be a problem. But the problem is Joe, this is not isolated. It's every night. She doesn't play defense.
Starting point is 00:03:37 And she got some, why are you trying to drop a play offensively? Guard your man defensively. Girl, I'm looking. Y'all know me. I've been on Caitlin, I've been in Caitlin Clark's corner. But enough is enough now.
Starting point is 00:03:51 I'm tired of her behavior. I'm tired of the shoving. I'm tired of the elitist. I'm tired of the entitlement. Enough is enough. Play basketball. She's not holding up her end. And I love Stephanie White for this.
Starting point is 00:04:08 It was a very similar situation where LeBron was trying to draw something when Talu first got to draw. And Talu said, I got this. Right. Got to let them know who in charge. I ain't know. A little passion. Where is that passion on defense?
Starting point is 00:04:30 Y'all say she got passion. Where is the passion on defense? Because guess what everybody doing? What they're doing, Joe? Attacking her. Yep. The same thing they do with all scores when you don't play. Luca, the best go in the NBA.
Starting point is 00:04:45 Tell me where they go. That's how you offset it. Make their ass work on defense. Joe. You think you feel to just come down? Go ahead. Huh? You think you feel to just come down
Starting point is 00:05:01 average 25, 30 points a night and ain't going to have no pushback on defense? We're going to make your ass guard. What? We're going to make you work. We're going to seek you out every time. I love the fact that Joe, that you're on here, and you get it.
Starting point is 00:05:19 What a lot of times I don't think people get and people are like, oh, I love passion. If your coach can't coach you, you might as well just go ahead and get them up out of there. Yeah, you got to go. It won't be long because if your best player keeps disrespecting you, they're not going to respect you either.
Starting point is 00:05:36 Right. The only reason they worked in New England and chose was why? Because Coach Belichick got the ultimate respect from Tom Brady. If your best player doesn't respect you, you might as well just going to get you another coach. Absolutely right.
Starting point is 00:05:51 I totally agree. Every night is something. She's pushing somebody. She's serving somebody. She's doing something. And I've given you the benefit of the doubt. And I understand you missed last year and you're trying to get your rhythm back.
Starting point is 00:06:06 But enough now. Come on now. You too good of a player, but you can't just play one end of the court. Right. And don't show your coach up. If you want to be passionate. Be passionate on both ends of the court.
Starting point is 00:06:23 Yeah. Seems like you want to be passionate when it draw up this play. No, no, no, no, no. No, I can't draw up no play. Hell, you getting cooked on nothing. I draw up a defense to play. Make that one work. That's the plan on what you're going on.
Starting point is 00:06:37 Yeah. Yeah. Hey, the thing about trying to show your coach up, bro, like, especially in the NBA, if you got 30, 32 other teams watching, man, that nobody want to deal with that, bro. Don't nobody want to deal with no damn headache. What did you say, tolerance over productivity. Production and tolerance.
Starting point is 00:06:57 They only going to deal with so much, bro. They're only going to deal with so much. And the problem is, oh, Joe, and Joe, and you know this, is that when the production slip, you go. They don't let guys that be great and been a problem. They don't let them stay long. All they wait for them. for that, they wait for that moment.
Starting point is 00:07:21 Just a little, oh yeah, he came up out of there. You got the guy to get him out of here. Yeah. Absolutely right. Just enough, enough. I've seen enough. I've watched enough games. There's always something.
Starting point is 00:07:34 She's pushing players. She's stepping on players. You don't catch the right young lady. You'll catch the right one on the wrong day. Yep. My grandma would you tell me, I'm my brother. They say, oh, yeah, okay. Y'all will catch him.
Starting point is 00:07:48 Y'all won't catch the right one, but it's going to be the wrong day. Absolutely. Hey, you got to take some accountability. Yes. I know we talk about that a lot. But she has to accept that part, bro. You know, showing up your coach. It ain't going to be a good look.
Starting point is 00:08:05 And you got your teammates, bro, who are going to look at you different. Now, they may not tell you, but they're going to look at you different. Because they understand you're kind of been coddled since you got here. Yeah. Everybody has bent over kind of backward to appease you. Yeah. Yeah. Ready to tell us all the time,
Starting point is 00:08:31 boy, don't be ugly. Make people don't like you. Frags. Frank. Hey. What? I don't like them either. Yeah, she got to fix that.
Starting point is 00:08:52 Oh, Joe. Yeah. I mean, you know, and for me, I mean, I hear both of you talking, and I, it, to me, it's not enough.
Starting point is 00:09:05 It's not enough. You understand who she is. You understand how she plays the game. And a player showing passion in that, in that magnitude in that moment, I don't think she means. That is what they called it when you did it. Oh,
Starting point is 00:09:18 well, I, well, you know how I am when, when I do it. You know why. It's passion. Because I was, you want to win here.
Starting point is 00:09:25 It's passion, but I'm a repeat offender. And I don't have the leeway to be able to do it. She's a repeat offender. Also, you need to watch her. Watch your game. I need you to do them in favor. The next time they play, watch your game and watch your antics on the court.
Starting point is 00:09:40 Right. I see the highlight sometimes. Watch it. Watch, watch. I watch. Right, right, right. And chat, y'all know I've been one of her biggest proponents. I've been in her corner.
Starting point is 00:09:52 I've been a champion. Yeah. I don't tolerate this kind of behavior. Right. Mm-mm. So you want you wanted to take that just the, I wanted to play. I want to let the coach coach. She already got one coach fired.
Starting point is 00:10:09 The first coach, you got to fight. You fired. Stephanie White just got there. And they took, they gave, they gave the Aces all they can handle. And they didn't have Caitlin Clark. Caitlin Clark is not playing any defense. They're attacking her. Yeah, she got to tighten up.
Starting point is 00:10:28 At some point in time, for a coach to be worth his or her merit, you got to draw a line. Yep. You got to draw a line. The players will run over you. They will. More times than not, there's a reason why we got laws and rules and regulations. People ain't going to do it right.
Starting point is 00:10:57 They won't. That's just in people's nature. More time, Barnaport used to tell us all the time. He said, boy, give them a choice to do it. right or wrong and there's no one there to hold us accountable for the wrong how many people do right and how many people you think going to do wrong yeah depending on what the wrong is i'm so trying to get away with something that's my point see people when i say wrong people always go to the both the most egregious yeah okay what about speeding if you know the police wasn't under how fast
Starting point is 00:11:29 would you go in that 55 if you knew the park cars wasn't behind and they didn't see you live If you can walk into the store and shoplift and get something, giving a choice to do right or wrong. We know what the rights are. We know what the wrongs are. Yeah. Hey, Joe. What's up?
Starting point is 00:11:49 I'm going to steal some. Some Haynes underwear? Yeah. It ain't going to get caught. Some Haynes underwear and Haynes tank tops. Yeah. With me, boy. No.
Starting point is 00:12:01 Oh, yeah. I didn't steal no droves. I'm just saying I'm just saying me and definitely not no food at Target you don't shop a target you don't shop a target I do shop the target what the hell you think I get the odor of toothpaste
Starting point is 00:12:15 and mouthwash so where you get your undies from see you boozy you boozy who is that oh yeah that's booge Lulu Lemon
Starting point is 00:12:29 that's what he's on my yeah you don't get you don't get your I can see. I ain't want no white draw since I was probably 30 years old. Who wear white drawers? I wear white, I wear briefs from,
Starting point is 00:12:41 from Target. The white ones? No, the multi-pack, the multicolour, 10-pack. Black, gray.
Starting point is 00:12:49 They black, blue, and gray. Yeah, yeah, man, Target don't play. See, hey,
Starting point is 00:12:56 I don't know really shop at Target. I do shop at Target. I get, I get, shower gel, I get mouth wash, I get toothpaste, I buy, I bought like 15 packs or Orel B toothbrushes,
Starting point is 00:13:13 four packs, so I got like 65 toothbrushes. I go through a toothbrush like every two weeks. Damn, my thought, hold on, hold on. So the boycott, that's off a target. We back at Target now. Man, I got to get stuff out of it. Y'all live in the star, y'all live in hell, be out here, Fonke. Hold on, it was a boycott.
Starting point is 00:13:31 It was a boycott? Oh, man, come on. Come on, man. Wait, when it started? Hey, hey, I'm gonna hit my people. I'm gonna hit my people at, uh, I'm gonna hit the Walons, man, the Wal-Mars. I'm gonna get us a sponsorship on here from Walmart. That way, you know, we, we get some good stuff.
Starting point is 00:13:49 I got, like I say, I'm, and I buy in bulk anyway. I got like, I probably got about 10 things of mouthwash. probably got about 12, 14, twos of toothpaste, got about 60 toothbrushes got about
Starting point is 00:14:11 damn. I bought a shower gel. I bought enough shower gel the last me for a year. Hey, hey, Joe, why are you telling me that?
Starting point is 00:14:24 Joe, I ain't know that? Oh, man. Oh, Joe, what rock you've been hiding under? Where you been? Joe, you know,
Starting point is 00:14:29 I live on a rock, but man, I'd be right here. But, I'm gonna switch the Walmart, Dan. But they are. You know, they all tell us, they got the same haines at Walmart
Starting point is 00:14:38 to the same thing's house? I ain't got, man, I ain't got, man, I hadn't brought no. I remember, man, we used to buy fruit and a loon. You watch them jokes one time. The waistband so God does. Oh, you gotta buy a kid size draw and just wash them and did they fit perfect. If you buy whatever your waist side of your draws
Starting point is 00:14:55 and wash them. Yeah. Yeah, it's a round. It's a round. It's a round. They draw, ride your teeth. But man, couldn't nobody fall in pain back then back of the day. Man, you get them fruit of loo.
Starting point is 00:15:09 Ain't no worse. Boy, ain't nothing worse to have some loose drugs. Bad joke. Man, that waistband stretch out. Ain't nothing worse than that. I'm sorry. Boy, as a kid, boy, ain't nothing worse than that. Man, you know you're trying because you already know what's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:15:25 You buy the fruit of the loo. Boy, my grandma said, boy, take them Keeney drawers back. I like, Grady, we got to get them small. So you wash them one time, boom, they're going to be perfect. You basically, if you were 32, you better get you a size 28 draws. Damn. I thought you just, I'm glad you put me on game, Joe. I wait, clearly it's over with, Ojo.
Starting point is 00:15:56 Shoot, no, it ain't. But the chat say where I've been at. Yeah, I'm trying to eat. I mean, hey, what about, shoot, Amazon, I get my socks from Amazon. You get your socks from Amazon? What kind of socks? Yeah, I get, I get the, I get the crunch,
Starting point is 00:16:13 the crunch socks, Joe. They call Hugh, uh, slouch. I'm sorry, not crunch slouch. They're like, what is? No, no. They got, they, they, they, uh, I got to squiss them down. They, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, They're nice.
Starting point is 00:16:29 I like them. They call Hugh, H-U-E. Oh, no, I just- I just, I wear footies. Oh, see, I don't like it. Yeah, your ankles out and all that? I can't remember the last time I wore socks that came above my ankles.
Starting point is 00:16:44 Yeah, I always, I always, my ankle's too small. That's why I always wear the big socks. He's worried you small. Who? No, I'm too old. You saw me in person. You see how big got and got. You say you two, but Costco sell clothes too, right?
Starting point is 00:17:00 And I ain't get no damn membership. You know what I say charged for a membership? I don't know. How much? Like, like $50? I ain't paying no $50. I can't just balking and buy what I want to. I don't belong there.
Starting point is 00:17:12 $70 a year, right? Yeah. No, hell. Hey, I ain't got pre-check. You think I'm going to buy a membership to Costco? Yeah. Oh, I'm getting pre-chip. Hell, no.
Starting point is 00:17:22 I don't know about you. But that's why you don't live in Atlanta or L.A. Because if you had lived in Atlanta, L.A., you're going to get pre-checked. got to. This is what you don't understand, Joe. If I got to fight at 11 o'clock, Joe, I'm the type show up to the airport,
Starting point is 00:17:37 9 o'clock, 915. That's still ain't going to get you through. That ain't going to get my car. Them lines two hours long, Ocho. And they got 40, 50 lanes. Atlanta's the biggest, busiest airport in the world. In the world, yeah. Leave out of there on a Monday or Friday if you want to,
Starting point is 00:17:59 because people leave and going to work or they come. Okay. Go that show up at 11 o'clock, fight show up at 9 o'clock and see what happened to you. That thing be thinking there, Ocho. That thing be back around to buy bags clean. Hey, I'll be thinking. I say, I'd be thinking them lines be so long sometimes.
Starting point is 00:18:18 I'd be like, well, I'd have been to call, whoever up, hey, man, I ain't going to make it, bro. Like, hey, I ain't even know I had anxiety until I getting that damn airport. Do you hear me? You ain't got to tell me nothing, Joe. Hey, Joe, they be bothering you when you go to the airport? I mean, it's not necessarily bothering. You know, they always bring up nightcap talking about how crazy you're an uncle.
Starting point is 00:18:42 They know you're an uncle. It's mocho. No, you're right with him. Hey, hey, hey, but you guilty by association. What about you? Yeah, hey, hey. So, you know, they always stop it and they ask me something about y'all. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:18:56 So, yeah, I get, they, they ask me questions. Every time somebody see me, they ask me something here. Man, I don't know what the hell they're doing here. Yeah. Dude asked me today, dude older than me, the white dude, talk about, hey, you on from that show? I look. I'm like, no, bro.
Starting point is 00:19:15 You're sadden it. How are you talking about am I unc from the show? Yeah, yeah. Like, yeah. He tells me, hey, that was Shed and Shrek. He's the Hall of Fame. I'm like, bro, you just called me uncle, and you're older than me.
Starting point is 00:19:29 The fun the funniest thing, too, Joe, and this is the kind of reach. I don't think you understand that we have. We have nightcap, and I just left TST. I left the soccer tournament. You have the thing you have players that are flown from all over the world, from all of the world in Europe, Brazil, Chile, and everybody's here under one umbrella in rally for a tournament,
Starting point is 00:19:53 but everybody knows about nightcap. Everybody watches nightcap. And it is funny. People, dudes barely know English. Yeah. They know Kapp. How is Unk? How are Joe doing?
Starting point is 00:20:04 I'm like, how do you know about nightcap and you live all the way? And the other shows you change their name, Mocho. Yeah. They don't have to. They don't have to. When you say nightcap, everybody knows. They already know. They already know.
Starting point is 00:20:19 They already know. Yeah, that was dope. Just to hear people that they all the way in Europe, Joe. Yeah. We love, we love y'all show. You guys are really funny. We love y'all too. Nice time five

Starting point is 00:21:56 Listen to Humor Me with Robert Smygling and Friends on the I-Hard Radio app. Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas. And I'm C.J. Toledano and our podcast Point Game is about defying the odds. Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed. And finding ways to win no matter what. He's the smartest player to ever play the game. His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before.
Starting point is 00:22:18 And he knows without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game. We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs. I think Joker's going to be exhausted. at this series because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup, he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid. He has to guard Julius Randall. And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense. And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too. Steve Nash would get that thing. That man, hell get the flying. He running up the court licking his fingers why he got the ball. Like,
Starting point is 00:22:52 after you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you figure it out real quick. Oh, yeah. Get your ass up and down. the court and you're going to get the bomb. So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is. Getting a racist statue removed. And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is. Getting a new one put up in its place.
Starting point is 00:23:17 As long as there's a politics of race in America, there's going to be a politics of remembering the Civil War. To get to school, I had to go down Robert Lee Boulevard. Get to the grocery store. I had to go down Jefferson Davis Parkway. If you're an historian and you leave out half of what the history is, you're not doing your job. I'm Akila Hughes, and Rebel Spirit Season 2 goes deep on both of those things. The fights, the politics, the people who won, and my personal campaign to add something to the Kentucky State House
Starting point is 00:23:44 that's actually worth the wall space. We are more than our bodies. We contain essence. We contain spirit. How do you represent that? They are just fueling a fire that is really catching. You'll see what I mean. Listen to Rebel Spirit season two on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:24:06 Final saving the evening is time for Q and A. Man, man, I'm in New York. I just got in New York for about four hours ago. Now I got my flight at 6 in the morning. Chiquan Bauer says, would y'all do a nightcap out in a Diamond Gym? Day one fan. Love the show. Oh, that's a good one. I did it. What you?
Starting point is 00:24:33 Working out. I like that. Man, that's what I've been trying to get you an ung the door and what you're out playing? I like that. So we can make love to them weights, baby. Yo, you don't live in the weight like that, Joe. You don't get them like that, Joe. Oh.
Starting point is 00:24:50 Oh. Boy, hey, look, you and also are going to stop playing on my top, man. For real talk. Hold on. Let's get in the gym. Let's see what going on. We ain't got to get in there and go crazy. He's in trying to max.
Starting point is 00:25:01 No, no, I'm going crazy. You know what I mean? Hey, Joe, if you get the camera rolling, I'm going crazy, Joe. Oh, you're going to go crazy with that little 225, huh? Yeah, that's all I need to do. As long as I hit that about 12, 12, 13 times, that's enough. Been a member for a year, been watching from the start. Keep pushing, guys.
Starting point is 00:25:25 Respect. Appreciate that, man. Means a lot to us. Yes, sir. All right. So, Ocho. Who's your cartoon equivalent? Oh, got to be froghorn leghorn.
Starting point is 00:25:38 A cartoon equivalent. Ocho, what's you got? What's your cartoon equivalent? Little Bill? Little Bill. You don't know who Lil Bill is? Nah, who is that? Man, let me see anybody.
Starting point is 00:26:00 Hey, yeah, yeah, hey, yeah, yeah, little Bill. Hey, maybe the chat, the chat, the chat, know who little Bill is. They used to call me a little bill when I was growing up, right? Yeah, they called me the Tasmanian devil. Why? I cause hell. Oh, Lord, see, there you go.
Starting point is 00:26:18 See, I'm saying? You're a bit around Ocho so long. I call, I cause hell. I mean, where you cause hell at? You're going to see? You going to see? You going to see? How am I see?
Starting point is 00:26:30 I'm confused. You going see, partner. Okay, okay, okay. Oh, this is the Arkansas side. out right now. Okay, okay. I'm picking up with on that red hoodie too.
Starting point is 00:26:42 So you know what that mean. Huh? Hey, okay. Okay. I'm going to say none. Uh, oh, respectfully. As a LeBron biggest fan, how do you feel seeing him going on all these other athlete shows and not
Starting point is 00:27:01 Nightcap? The one thing that we wanted to do with Nightcap, other than what Club Shasha is, we want to make a guest dependent. So even if we don't have a guest on Nightcap, I feel Ocho, Joe and I can talk about anything.
Starting point is 00:27:21 Club Shayshay is bigger than any one guest. I love, I appreciate everybody giving me their time and coming on my show. I did not start Nightcap to have LeBron James as a guest. If he comes on,
Starting point is 00:27:35 I'll graciously accept him and be as thorough as I can. But it's not, it doesn't, it doesn't bother me. Cat Williams went on my show when he hadn't really done anything. So I've had guests to come on my show
Starting point is 00:27:49 that haven't gone on other shows. Damon Wayans, he don't really do things. Terry Cruz don't really do things. Yeah, it would be great. But I didn't defend LeBron. When I say something about LeBron, I sincerely believe it. And I try to back it up with facts.
Starting point is 00:28:07 That's it. But if LeBron comes on, he wants to come on Nightcap, We love to have him. If he wants to come on club, we love to have him. But if he doesn't, I promise you,
Starting point is 00:28:18 people are still going to watch Nightcap, people still are going to watch club, Shea, I love every guest that we have. We got young M.A. on there now. She was unbelievable. I love sitting down with people
Starting point is 00:28:29 that I don't really know a whole lot about and as we do a deep dive and to watch it open up. But no, bro, I don't feel no type of way. I know people, you know, they try to make it a big deal, And even Stephen A's like, right, you know, you went on P Mac.
Starting point is 00:28:46 Hey, I love P Mac. Because P Mac lets you know what's capable. Yeah. He took a show that was in his basement or however he was doing an indie. And boom. So for me, Nightcap is not guest dependent. Ocho, Joe and I, we can talk about anything. We can make it entertaining.
Starting point is 00:29:09 We can make it informative. We can make it educational. club shay-shay is a little bit more guest dependent so that's why you'll see the ebbs and flows with the views somebody they really like people to tune in somebody they don't they'll click and that's you're right but no i don't feel i don't feel any type of way if lebron ever comes on yeah i'd love to have it yeah but if he doesn't come on i promise you i'm not going to lose any sleep and and matter fact chat y'all do me a favor and you can spam lebron's twitter and instagrams and let lebron know after I give Joe this
Starting point is 00:29:42 motherfucking works, he could be next. Hey, hey, hey, you keep my name at your damn mouth. I didn't told you. I'm told you. Yeah, I know you. Hey, Joe, how old are you? Were you 40 what? I'll be, hey, matter of fact, it's June 1st. It's 12 o'clock over here. So I'm 29th of June, partner. Yeah, June 29th. I'll be 45.
Starting point is 00:30:05 Okay, 4445. LeBron. How old are LeBron? 41. 41. Yeah, I got two 40 old, gonna get this work. Huh? Hey, because of you, you don't piss me off. Now you got LeBron in this shit now. Because after I do you in, LeBron, you next.
Starting point is 00:30:22 Hey, hey, Braun ain't got nothing to worry about. Once I tell your ass up, well, I promise you. Hey, Joe, I promise you, I'm gonna wash you in front of the world. I promise you, I'm for the watch you in the world. Ocho, Ocho. You better stop while you're here. I'm telling you, because once we get started,
Starting point is 00:30:38 I ain't gonna have no mercy for your little. little last. I'm just letting you know. Herssey. Yeah. Little. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, Joe, you know what?
Starting point is 00:30:47 I don't even curse like that, but you got me fucked up. Didn't me. I don't even curse like that, Joe. I just got, I just got saved two weeks ago. I don't even curse like that. But you really, you, are you barking up the wrong tree? I'll tell you that. Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 00:31:02 All right. Well, let's, okay, bring your head down there. I'm trying to get Joe in the chair. Joe been ducking club, Shayshay, but you know. Yeah, Joe, go and sitting at that. chair, man, let me tears. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Look, you got Ryan Clark and Ocho texting me on three-way and all kind of stuff.
Starting point is 00:31:18 Damn, let me live a little bit. I'm enjoying, like having a good time. Oh, hey, I'm glad you just said that. Let me live a little bit, huh? Yeah. I get the message. I'm picking up what you putting down. Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, what message you getting?
Starting point is 00:31:36 You say, let me live a little bit. Yeah, but what message you getting from that? What do you think this is? You win dispensers? Oh, here he goes. Here he goes. Look at our numbers. Who in the sports realm close to us?
Starting point is 00:31:52 Not even close. I mean no disrespect to nobody. Not even close. It ain't, bro. But ain't nobody touching club, Shay-Shay. There ain't nobody touching us. Everybody that's come on the show say, man, I appreciate you allowing me to tell my story.
Starting point is 00:32:11 I appreciate you doing your homework. I appreciate you just how prepared you are. I can tell you were prepared because I see the way you approach when you do things on television. But bro, y'all run a forced rate organization. First rate, whatever you need. You're going to get point A to point B. Hey, Shay, Shay, Shade Media.
Starting point is 00:32:35 The numbers speak for themselves. Everybody can talk about all this other stuff. The numbers. speak for themselves. I ain't got to say nothing, but pull up the numbers. Boy, making it happen, boy. All they got to do is pull up numbers.
Starting point is 00:32:53 Hey, when they YouTube come up, when YouTube pops up, and all the podcasts that's in the world, where is nightcap, where is club Shayshay. Huh? Hey. Hey. And wait until I do this damn demolition.
Starting point is 00:33:12 Ooh, you think the, Hey, you think the number's crazy now. See? When I whoop his hands, them numbers going to do. You see what I mean? What? Hey, keep poking the bell. Joe, keep poking the bell.
Starting point is 00:33:24 Wake the damn up. I want to poke the man up. I want to poke the ass. Hey, when you put that mean demonstration, the record is we had a show that we had 340. How many? We had 330,000 concurrent viewers. Damn.
Starting point is 00:33:40 Huh? When? Man, you know we, man, threw the phone down on the bed and y'all heard something. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We're going to beat, we're going to beat that. This ass whoop I'm going to put on him on, we're going to pass that.
Starting point is 00:33:59 Hey, we can get, we can get a million concurrent viewers. Let me, let me do one of them too. Let you do one to one. No, no more than, don't you? See, mine ain't, mine ain't, mind will be no accident. Mine will be on purpose. No. Hey, they did, they do say it's a billion dollar industry now.
Starting point is 00:34:16 Hey, boy, who are you telling Joe? I used to get a little bit of back and back and back. I got in trouble because they're talking about, man, he know who that. Bro, y'all know if I know something, when if I ever felt that I knew something that I didn't share it with you? Hmm, come on, that. Y'all get mad because I don't know something. It's like, it's like, some, like, hey, bro, such and such a such play, you know. him. Now, I don't know him. But he in the NFL.
Starting point is 00:34:43 Bro, I don't know everybody. Right. I don't know everybody. Look, you do what you do. I don't, like I said, I ain't judging. Whatever you do, you do that. But I didn't know these women. I did. And I'm like, right.
Starting point is 00:34:58 And they talk about Jada Pinkett? Jay to Pinkett? He's like, no, just read what? I thought they were talking about Jada Pinkett. Like, Jay to Fier. Jada Fire. I'm like, who? I don't know who this is. But then they got mad if I got no little old man to stand you. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:19 Hey. Oh, you got a fetish. I'm like a fetish. Oh, ha, ha, ha, ha, man. Hey, you know what I'm thinking about doing, too? What's that? You know, the World Cup coming, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:31 You know, billions of people watch the World Cup, huh? Right. You know I can wear me some nightcap stuff and streak the field. Why the game going on? Now, you want to talk about marketing and branding and branding? Now, y'all got this and what you got to do is you got to bail me out. Long as you build me out. But there's millions of people.
Starting point is 00:35:49 You can bet on yourself, you can bet that somebody will streak the field. And then you do it. So y'all make the bet and I'm gonna streak it. You heard me? Hey, you make the bet, I'm gonna streak it. Y'all billed me out and we cash in. But then the whole world going to know about nightcap. Well, they already know about it, but they're gonna know about it when I streak the field.
Starting point is 00:36:07 Hey, hey, they probably, they don't, you don't, they ain't gonna whoop your ass for that? No, they just, they just try to tackle you. You know, they're not gonna catch me. You just go zigzag on them, on-o? And, hey, I'm gonna have on some cleese on purpose. Yeah, me, me, yeah. That's what you're gonna have on a clea's on purpose. Hey, hey, I'll put some money on you, man.
Starting point is 00:36:28 I put some money. Do that, do that. Oh, I'll be down there. Wait y'all take him to me. I'm gonna be famous. I'm gonna ask, why y'all taking it? They got a jail in there. They got a jail in there.
Starting point is 00:36:39 They're gonna hold his hands down there. Hey, you remember how they took a brother down there and Malcolm Beck and Denzel Whit down there and they stood in front of the police station. He said, not until brother Johnson, we know brother Johnson okay. Hey, we leave until I know brother Johnson okay. Ah, there it is right there, brother Johnson.
Starting point is 00:37:07 Yeah. Yeah. Oh, man. Uh, Daniel Wells, when the time y'all had to snap on someone in a game for effing up. It's been a long time because I ain't been in the game. Yeah, I ain't, I ain't, I ain't, I've been. Five years since I retired. It's been, what, 22? Now, my, my been recent, like, in, like, playing in the big three.
Starting point is 00:37:36 Damn, you snap on them, Joe? I won't win, oh, hell. But, hey, look, when they, when they beat us, guess who they say they beat? Oh, yeah, we beat Joe Nell. We beat Joe Nell. Yeah, my name going to be the first name come up. You're right. Okay.
Starting point is 00:37:52 Hey, Joe, when the first game, Joe, you know, I'm popping up on you, Joe. June 20th, we started in, uh, we started in L.A., actually. Again, who y'all play first, you know? Damn, I don't even know who we played first, old Joe. And you know what's funny is, if y'all play June 20th, today is the first. Today is the first, ain't it? Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:14 Yeah, that's 19 days away. And I would hate, you know, I'm going to let you slide for the big three, Joe. Because I would hate to take your, I would hate to take your confidence and whoop you before you go and compete against them boys. Ocho, don't piss me off. Don't piss me. I'm trying to be cool, bro. I'm not trying to piss you all.
Starting point is 00:38:32 I'm just saying I don't want to take it. If you play me not and the big three start, then you're going to start looking like shit. Damn. Ocho, you prick garbage, man. I'm in telling you. You're pretty garbage. I just want you to know that, bro. I hear you, I hear what you saying.
Starting point is 00:38:49 I just know what I do to you mentally. And mentally you'll be crushed. You won't have no companies. No, hey, hey, hey. We don't call you Joe Holmgren. I ain't why I like that, partner. I ain't why I like that. You hear me.
Starting point is 00:39:03 Joe Holmbring. Hey, you could be for damn, so I'll get my get back, okay? Okay, okay. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, hey, hey, I already got a hit out on a number of guys. Yeah. I hit.
Starting point is 00:39:15 Yeah. Yeah. When you see me potting this smoke. Okay. Yeah. So, no. All right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:21 I hear you Joe hungry. Okay. Okay. Yeah. I wouldn't say snap, but I was very practiced. Bro. I'm trying for perfection, bro. I ain't going to even for, I haven't been the whole of you.
Starting point is 00:39:37 Yeah. Everybody get one, but don't you make another one. Yeah. Yeah. I'm with you on that, bro. I got to hold everybody accountable. We're going to be where we're supposed to be, where we're supposed to be, especially my group.
Starting point is 00:39:52 Now, hey, I don't know what's going on with the over linemen, but the tight ends, we're going to be right. Offensive meeting, with this time, everybody's supposed to be in there, we're going to be where we're supposed to be. That's it. That's how we're going to do it. Hey, I understand it, bro.
Starting point is 00:40:07 We're going to get better while we're out there. And in the game, hey, we're going to try to find a way to figure it out. what's going on. Hey, we're going to be attentive at the board. Hey, they try to explain something to us. This is what we're going to do. X, Y, Z, blah, blah, blah.
Starting point is 00:40:20 We'll, okay, fine. Don't come out there messing up. I ain't got no pay. I ain't been, you know, I ain't breaking no news to nobody. Y'all know I ain't got no damn patience. Oh, I'm telling you, me neither. I'm telling you, it ain't even just a professional sport for me. Man, back home in Little Rock,
Starting point is 00:40:38 we got a dumbbell league that used to go on every summer. We used to play in, Uncle Ocho. Bro, I used to be chewing ass out there. Like, man, hey, hey, look, we lose. Dudes be on the radio talking about how they don't beat us, bro. Like, man, I want to win, man. Y'all know these boys going to try to show out on the 90s. That's how I was, Joe, in college.
Starting point is 00:41:01 You know, we are college, we had an IBA called an Intermure Basketball Association. Ooh, I know it go down, didn't, man. Joe, you know I cook. Yo, you know I cook, right? Yeah. Man, let me tell you. Man, Bucket made me mad. Bucket said, hey, homeboy, you remember,
Starting point is 00:41:16 you thought you was going to get the MVP? Let me tell you what the coach did. Joe, I average like 30. Yeah. This man at the halftime of the championship game, he brought the guy out there to give him the trophy. What? At halftime of our game.
Starting point is 00:41:37 And pissed you out. First of all, he wasn't even supposed to get the trophy. Man, he's talking about, and coach talking about, Sharb, you can't win everything. I deserve that. I earned that. So you know what I did, Joe?
Starting point is 00:41:54 What? Because I already know, because I had already got the word that I wasn't going to win the trophy. Right. Man, tell that man, hey, tell him you don't want that trophy. Tell him you didn't earn it.
Starting point is 00:42:06 Give it to me. Man. He had the record. He had the championship game record. 40. I dropped 41 inside down with seven minutes to go. Not with him, Joe. I would like that, Joe.
Starting point is 00:42:21 Ask him. I was leaving. I dropped 41 and sot down with seven minutes to go. Yeah. Yeah, just prove your point. I'm up and down the court. I'm talking. That's my trophy.
Starting point is 00:42:33 You give him the trophy. But everybody in here know who the real IBA player of the year is. Fact. Hey, boy, I know that feeling. I know it. I know. He's going to break the man. First of all, that's my trophy.
Starting point is 00:42:47 Because I was trying to win the trophy every year. I was trying to, you know, three-peat. Yeah. I'm not. Joe, I remember, you know what I, I told him I played, I told him my average. They're like, man, you can't play. I said, man, no, I'm really like that.
Starting point is 00:43:04 I say, why don't you play basketball? I say, you know, I want to be like my brother. My brother played. So the second, the first game I had like, had like 14 points. Man, I thought this nigga talked about he was like that. He was like that. The next game, guess what I dropped?

Starting point is 00:44:56 What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas. And I'm C.J. Toledano, and our podcast Point Game is about defying the odds. Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed. And finding ways to win no matter what. He's the smartest player to ever play the game. His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before. And he knows without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game.
Starting point is 00:45:18 We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs. I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup, he has to really guard guys like Nasree. He has to guard Julius Randall. And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense. And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson,
Starting point is 00:45:37 we dive into some playoff history too. Steve Nash would get that thing. That man, hell get the flying. He running up the court, licking his fingers, why he got the ball like, after you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you figure it out real quick. Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball. So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is.
Starting point is 00:46:04 Getting a racist statue removed. And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is. Getting a new one put up in its place. As long as there's a politics of race in America, there's going to be a popular. politics of remembering the Civil War. To get to school, I had to go down Robert Lee Boulevard. Get to the grocery store, I had to go down Jefferson Davis Parkway. If you're an historian and you leave out half of what the history is, you're not doing your job.
Starting point is 00:46:27 I'm Akila Hughes, and Rebel Spirit Season 2 goes deep on both of those things. The fights, the politics, the people who won, and my personal campaign to add something to the Kentucky State House that's actually worth the wall space. We are more than our bodies. We contain essence. We contain Spirit. How do you represent that? They are just fueling a fire that is really catching. You'll see what I mean.
Starting point is 00:46:52 Listen to Rebel Spirit season two on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. And to piss you out. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know why, I guess, you know what it is? In a world full of lies, even the truth sounds like a lie. Mm.

Starting point is 00:47:52 What was sharp like in the practice? Ask my teammates at Denver. Ask him at Baltimore. Ask him at Glenville High School. What I got to lie about? With everything I say is, you can prove it, you can back it up.
Starting point is 00:48:06 I know a lot of people lie and a lot of people won't clap. I did what I did. I did it. What a good? I lie about it. But I know a lot of y'all lie. Y'all figure y'all lie so much.
Starting point is 00:48:19 Y'all figure everything else, somebody else says a lie. Right. Don't look it up. Right. They think I'd be lying. Hey, hey, Joe. What's up? You know, you know, words mean things.
Starting point is 00:48:30 And I got, I'm going to let it slide. What's the name of the tournament y'all be playing at? And people go on the radio and talk about, maybe. The dumb bar? The dumbball lead. Okay. We don't have it no more, but they know what you're talking about if you say something about it. But look, Bobby Porter's played in it.

So before every game, when I played every game for 10, 11 years straight, you know, I talk trash through the media every week, right? Yeah, yeah. And I went out there and backed up everything I ever said. You know that, right?
Starting point is 00:49:40 Yeah. So would that tell you, Joe? You just talk shit. That's it. Huh? I talk it and I walk it, Joe. I can do two things at once, and that's what you're going to get. You're going to get a small sample size of what I used to do back in the day.
Starting point is 00:49:56 Okay. All right. Okay, Ojo. All right. All right. Now, what you don't want to do is you don't want to piss me off. When I put my hands together like this, it's a different ballgame. That's where I want you.

Starting point is 00:53:42 non-Brunsen minutes? What you think, Joe? I think that's a good question as far as shooters because Kats, can shoot, Wimby can shoot. You look at
Starting point is 00:53:58 OG, Bridges, heart. Hell, they, if they, they, they may believe it's out of, out of me in this postseason
Starting point is 00:54:08 the way they've been playing. They've been shooting the crap out of, but hell, San Antonio got some guys who can fill it up too and Champany for sale. I don't know. It's probably about what and what
Starting point is 00:54:19 as far as shooters. Hey, the cat, swear they know everything. Who? Man. What did they know? Oh, Joe, really? Paul Simon. Do y'all know who Paul Simon is?
Starting point is 00:54:35 They probably even know who Paul Simon is. Simon and Garfunkel? Man, Paul Simon, my favorite album from him called Grace Land. You know that? I do who Paul Simon is, I do. Yeah, man. Hey, Joe, you know Paul Simon?
Starting point is 00:54:50 No. Check this song out when we get off, when we get off the show. Diamonds on the Souls of a Barth. her shoes diamonds on the sold of her shoes but you understand 80 a a a Paul Simon and Lady Smith black mumbozzo how do I say it lady Smith black mombado I saw I saw I saw Lady Smith black mommobazo at the blue note down here in New York about two months ago where you get a gills and chicken at Savannah State oh yeah it's a little jazz
Starting point is 00:55:24 It's a jazz spot out here in New York. The chat don't know, man. Man, come on me. I better start playing with me, man. I'm cultured, man. Spin that shit. Spin that shit. You heard Chris your new song?
Starting point is 00:55:43 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey, that baby jumping. Hey. Hey, young, you had Crea on the show. You had Young Miami on the show. Well, hey, she got a new song, but that time, man. She was funny. All right, I ain't heard this on.
Starting point is 00:56:03 You gotta hear a new song, spin that, spin that. Okay, I'll take a listen to it. Yeah, that thing be jamming. She'll and dig your cello coming somewhere. Orchidamas, since you're on the road with winning, who winning the Super Bowl? Who winning the Super Bowl? You can answer that right now.
Starting point is 00:56:30 I can answer that by the time we get the week five, I can tell you. Let me get the week five. And I can tell you what teams are probably going to make the playoff based on what I see in the preseason. Because last year, remember what I said? The two teams that were going to shock everybody would be the Chicago Bears
Starting point is 00:56:45 and the Carolina Panthers. And what did they do? Nightcap, biggest Scottish fan here, love the stories and the labs you bring every night. You are absolute legend. Questions. Will Nightcap ever do a live show in the UK? We'll love to meet you guys. They love us in Paris.
Starting point is 00:57:04 They love us in London. Yeah, I mean, maybe, you know what? We'd probably end up having to do it around NFL Europe. When they go overseas, something like that, Ocho, Joe, we probably have to plan on that. But that's a possibility. Matter of fact, week eight, week nine, in Madrid. That's a year.
Starting point is 00:57:24 That's a year in advance. We need to plan that in 27. It says, okay, here's what's going to happen. This is where they're going. Okay, we're going to be, yeah. If you were O'KC, would you consider moving Chet for Bam or maybe Picks and Debt Pieces also would you realistically rebuild the 76ers? I don't think, me personally, I don't think Pat Rodder would take Chet for Bam.
Starting point is 00:57:46 Yeah, no, I don't either. I'm just being honest. I don't either. Bam, Bam got, hey, he got a lot in his tool, Bob. Yeah. The New York Knicks, Nate-like flicks, Photoshop, Don't matter. Spurs and five. Spurs and six. Roses are orange, violets are blue, the necks are destined for greatness and nightcap crew, two.
Starting point is 00:58:18 So, got to go, going back and forth. A Kevin Hart interview would do numbers right now. Ocho, do you still own any McDonald franchises? Aiso. Hawks got to go get Ant Man. Uh, yeah. Gotta go get a call out. Amen.
Starting point is 00:58:33 We put a call out to Kevin Hart. He's busy right now. Love to sit down, but if Ocho, do you still own McDonald franchises? Of course. You think this lifestyle provides itself? Huh? You think this lifestyle provide itself, huh? You think I, how do you think I get these sunglasses?
Starting point is 00:58:56 Hmm? Stole them. Anjo? Hawks got to go get Ant-Man. Well, hey, if the house get Ant-Man, you, hey, you're going to turn the damn city upside down. Hey, hey, hey, um, let's be honest. Now, the only way the Hawking ain't, man, if you're playing 2K, that's it.
Starting point is 00:59:13 They're not giving it. Or if he say, oh, no, if, a basketball are a little different. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, because the money's guaranteed. So if you're not happening, you say you want to go, they ain't got no choice but to get up off of you. Yep. When y'all all go hunting, Ocho going to be like, I don't need all that artillery. I got my switch. Stay with me.
Starting point is 00:59:32 Squirrel's going to learn I was a Marine sniper in 87, throwing up gang signs and everything. I'm saying. Y'all don't understand how fun that it'll be. I'm telling you, if we go hunting, I'm telling you, like we camp out like overnight, like two, three days. Yeah. Hey, oh, oh. Hey, both, that'll put us in another stratosphere.
Starting point is 00:59:55 Everybody get their own tent. Nah, nah, nah. What do you mean, nah? Not because in case, in case like a bear or something come, we all- I don't want to be in on tent with you, Ocho, I'm sorry. No. I won't be in no tent with you.
Starting point is 01:00:08 Hell no. Ocho don't know how to fire, no firearm joke. Hey, we get that joke out there. We can go river fishing. We can go lake fishing. We can go deep sea fishing. Hey, I'm going to be in the water, uh? The man can't even fish, uh, he's going to be scaring the damn fish away
Starting point is 01:00:31 throwing rocks in the water and I. We ain't going to be in the catch nothing. Hey, you don't want to, we play skip rocks. See what I'm saying? Look at him. listen to him. Hey, we didn't have a time, though. We didn't have a time, though.
Starting point is 01:00:43 We ain't had no time hunting. Hey, no, we need to hunt like wild boars, deer. Oh, Joe, you know stuff that's challenging. I'm going to use my bow. I don't need no gun. I'm going to use my bow. What, a crossbow or a boy or that?
Starting point is 01:01:01 Yes. Crossbow. I ain't going. Go ahead, Joe. I'll let you all have it. Yeah. Hey, Joe. Hey, Joe.
Starting point is 01:01:08 Hey, Joe, I'm saying when I was a Cub Scout, Joe, they used to call me Apocalyptic. Apocalyptic? Yeah, because I was so good with the bow. Come on, man. Check, the number 12th pick, the number 17th pick, and a future first rounder for Memphis third pick with a chance to draft boozer, who says no.
Starting point is 01:01:31 You're saying, give up check. 12, 17th, and the future first rounder for Memphis third pick with a chance to draft boozer. No, okay C ain't doing that. And plus Boozer might be going in too. Yeah. Okay, C ain't doing that. If Chet could have averaged at least 15,
Starting point is 01:01:52 Thunder would have possibly one and five. If I'm the gym, Chet is a memory while I use him to bait the back to seven foot golden child, KD. So they think KD going back to OKC? Yeah, I don't think so. No. I don't see that neither, fellas.
Starting point is 01:02:14 weren't losing no matter what NBA players are 8-0 in game sevens on their own territory thanks Harrison Barnes I saw what do NBA GM say when guys are overpaid and underperformed their contract congrats on the 70,000 concurrent live viewers too thank you Jay what do they say Joe when you overpaid and underperform hell that I don't know man that what you ain't worried there your contract well you're saying I made a mistake we made a mistake and you move home they're not they're not saying they made no damn mistake. Well, if you move on, you said you made a mistake.
Starting point is 01:02:56 Yeah, yeah. Like, if you give a guy, if you give a guy a four-year contract and you trade his ass after year one, yeah, yeah, we made a mistake. We shouldn't have gave him that shit. Salute. Love how you guys communicate, whether you agree or not. Yeah. Hey, you agree.
Starting point is 01:03:18 Hey, you could be passionate about something. just because you're passionate about it. Doesn't make you right, doesn't make you wrong. We want to hear everybody's opinion. And then we move on. We'll let you decide. We let the chat decide who's right, who's wrong. Right.
Starting point is 01:03:31 Hey, guys. I want you guys to give my wife Carmen Scott a shoutout. 24 years married, got married at 20 years old in 2002. She's my rock through the ups and the down. Damn. Carmen, Scott. Happy life. Happy wife, happy life, I guess.
Starting point is 01:03:48 got married at 20 years of age. And they've been together 24 years, the good, the bad, the indifferent, the ups, the down. Sickness and help, rich or poor. Congratulations, Carmen. Your hubby wanted you to know that you rock, you're the foundation, and you're the everything. So congratulations, guys.
Starting point is 01:04:08 Get another 24 in there. Hey, what's your opinion on Nick Wright and Stephen A. Smith beef? I ain't got no opinion. I don't care. Got nothing to do with me. I talk about sports. I talk about events. I don't talk about other people.
Starting point is 01:04:26 So if these people don't play sports, yeah, we'll show stuff about somebody walking on the grass, but I ain't getting it. He has an opinion on something. Okay, he has an opinion on something. I ain't got no opinion on them. I like the fact that our research team do a good job of getting,
Starting point is 01:04:48 especially like tonight, there's nothing on. Define topics that we could discuss. All of us can chime in on, have an opinion on it and move on. Why am I going to discuss, did you hear what this guy said? Did you hear what that guy said?
Starting point is 01:05:01 I don't really care what that guy said. I got my opinion what I think about ex-player. Got my opinion what I think about X game. I don't do it. I don't be talking about nobody else. Hey, Steve, Stephen Ann Nick. I guess, I, oh, Cho, I honestly,
Starting point is 01:05:17 I honestly do not know and I honestly do not care. I know one thing I could tell you something right now what's that? Between Stephen A and Nick Nina neither one of them
Starting point is 01:05:31 got basketball knowledge like me huh neither one of them and Stephen A and Nick Wright if y'all want to have me come on and you want to sit here and talk basketball huh? Let me know no
Starting point is 01:05:45 no no but we talk about stuff I talk about what I talk about on the show, Joe. And honestly, when I go to, when I go to, I'm somewhere, I don't talk about nothing else. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:00 That's it. I don't care. I mean, for me, I think there's enough going on, enough sporting events that's going on. There's football, there's basketball. There's always a little something football you can talk about. But right now there's basketball.
Starting point is 01:06:16 There's baseball. You know, track and field. They just had the robot thing. there's enough stuff to talk about. That's just me. Everybody's different. Everybody, hey, take office. That's what makes you happy.
Starting point is 01:06:32 But there are a lot of people that spend all their time talking about other people on their podcast. And I'm like, are you a sports podcast or are you? I don't know. To each their own. Hey, fellas, you can only keep one.
Starting point is 01:06:44 Your sense of humor, your athletic ability, your money. Which one do you keep it and why? My sense of humor. I ain't got no athletic ability. dog, that's gone. By athletic, hey, I can shoot a few hoops or something,
Starting point is 01:07:10 pitch some horseshoes or throw a, uh, uh, car holes or something like that. But there's a whole lot left in his 58, 50, almost 58 year old body. You know what? Yeah, I'm one. I'm probably with Ocho on this. I was going to say the same thing,
Starting point is 01:07:24 because you know what? With my sense of humor, I can go get some money. There you go. I would just go. I was just going to say that. There you go. Hey, hey, that's why I like y'all. We were all thinking of like, I was thinking the same.
Starting point is 01:07:35 You know what I mean? Y'all like, what? Hey, I only get paid not because I'm a sense of humor. I get that. You know, women love a sense of humor. Yeah, they do. And you're going to get your ass whoop because of your sense of humor, too. I'm talking to you, Ocho.
Starting point is 01:07:54 You try to be nice. You try to let bygone and be fagones. He continues, he poke the bell. The singer, the NFC North, all-time offense versus the AFC North, all-time defense. One drive doesn't end with a touchdown or a turnover. So you're talking about the NFC all-time offense. So you're going to talk, it's probably Aaron Rogers or Brett Farr as your quarterback,
Starting point is 01:08:24 and you're probably going to take Devonte, maybe Megatron. Is that what they're talking about? NFC North, though. Yeah, it's NFC North versus the AFC North. I'm not so sure. What era we play it in? Because the NFC North era, you got Joe Green,
Starting point is 01:08:48 you got Ray Lewis, you got Lambert, you got Mail Blunt, you got Rod Woodson, Miles Garrett, T.J. Watt. I think I'm going to take the defense. Mm.
Starting point is 01:09:07 My guys, ISO, Prime Ocho versus Primetime, who's winning that matchup? And, uh, what separated Ravens Championship team from those Broncos? championship teams you were on and what team do you miss being around the most it said prime ISO against prime mocho i don't give a damn what we playing his ass loser he see what i mean
Starting point is 01:09:33 i got to keep it real ohcho the man asks a question can't keep it 100 i'm just keeping it one hundred i'm what i mean he didn't respect to you howo don't worry about it don't worry about it listen he don't have to respect me. I'm going to take it. Damn. I'm going to take it. I mean, you asked, the man asks a question, can I give an honest answer?
Starting point is 01:09:55 That was my honest answer, bro. Yes. Right. I know it may have finished you, but oh, well. Yeah, okay. Don't worry about it. Well, the Ravens and the Broncos, Ravens were a defensive team.
Starting point is 01:10:07 Broncos, we were an offensive team. Hence, we got four guys off our offense in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. I just spent more, I only spent two years in Baltimore. Yeah, I have, you know, friends that I still keep in Adelaus Thomas. I still talk to him fast from time to time. I see Woody because he lives out here and talk to him from time to time. But obviously Denver, because I spent 12 years in Denver.
Starting point is 01:10:32 And I built up more friendships in Denver than I did in Baltimore. But I enjoy, I thoroughly, thoroughly enjoy my time in Baltimore. How come everybody get on KD for going to the world? Warriors, but nobody, uh, uh, uh, LeBron for joining the heat.
Starting point is 01:10:48 Really? You joined a team that was 73 and 9. You join the team that was 73 and 9. That already had a two-time league MVP and one of those times he was unanimous. And you're going to say that was the equivalent of joining D. Wade that had gotten put out in the first round. And previously you was just up 3-1 on the air.
Starting point is 01:11:11 Well, you know, you know that. Come on now. Come on. It's not even, it's not even, it's a false equivalent, and it's not even the same. It's not. Everybody knows that. You can try to fix it up and say it's the same thing,
Starting point is 01:11:27 but it's not. It's not. Because when Katie left the Warriors, they still went and won a championship. Yep. When LeBron left the Cavaliers, what did they do? Mm. Okay.
Starting point is 01:11:46 By 2001, how close was Kobe DeShan? Yeah, he was right there. Dead heat. Go, go, go, go look at them, go look at them playoff numbers. If Shaq was averaging 30, yeah, Kobe, if Shaq was averaging 30.8, Kobe was at 30.1. Facts. Yeah. Facts.
Starting point is 01:12:10 He was, he was, it was a dead heat. You got to go, you got to, hey, you got to bring the cameras out. It's a photo finish. It's a photo finish. He was absolutely, and it was absolutely, he was 20, 20, 20. 22, 22 years old at that point in time, Joe? I'm talking about unbelievable, bro. I remember watching it like it was yesterday.
Starting point is 01:12:33 I couldn't believe. I'm like, hey, this young dude out here dominating the game the way he dominated like this. It was a dead heat. Insane. Dead heat. Insane. Nightcap fam, Doc here born and raised in Chicago for ISO in 2011,
Starting point is 01:12:47 when Poo was the greatest MVP ever, why y'all beat us for two. That was my first game As a kid You made me cry that day All loved Who is it? Who we played?
Starting point is 01:12:59 He said he was brought to Chicago In 2011 When Poo was the greatest MVP Ever, y'all beat us 4'2 Nah, they beat us They beat us 4'2 But
Starting point is 01:13:10 Who was Poo? Derek Rose Dick Rose What they called him Poo? Yeah, yeah he had won MVP their year And damn man i just remember i remember dude going to a whole other level i ain't gonna lie to y'all he was we we couldn't do
Starting point is 01:13:27 nothing with that with that boy we couldn't do nothing with him what's going on when will the show come to chicago i bought tickets last year we're looking we're gonna see uh shot town we got about four cities uh it's just so hard because right now we got the world cup we got to hunker down for the world cup uh and then we're gonna take some time off i know i'm taking some time off um Joe gonna hold a fort down for us. I got ya. Hey, you know, when you take time off, you know exactly when yet or you don't know yet.
Starting point is 01:14:00 I don't know yet. I know we doing football season, right? It's gonna be like the end of July into lock August, like right after the World Cup, yeah. We're gonna be dark for least a week. And then Joe gonna take over, Joe and his, his guest co-host. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:15 He's gonna ramp up a football season, right? Yeah. Okay. Yeah, I mean, the, the, ask you get them dates because I want to take, I want to take the kids. I'm going to take the kids somewhere, but I don't want to do it while we still, are we still? Is this the greatest decade of NBA history so far? We haven't had a repeat winner in seven years. I think the parody of the league is, yep, has been pretty good over the years. But boy, listen, if you mess around
Starting point is 01:14:52 that San Antonio will win one this year, it may win a couple. You're right, Joe. Y'all bring a live show to Nashville, Tennessee, also need some Tennessee Titans on so we can win with the nightcap effect. Yeah, we're going to. I like Nashville. Nashville, okay? It is. Nashville, nice.
