Starting point is 00:02:15 Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Kitty Smith says Mark Jackson saved Steph Curry's career with the Warriors and the NBA. Steph Curry before he got there did not play the fourth quarter of games. They used to play Monte Ellis and they would say Steph could not play in the fourth quarter because defensively he could not handle that. He was going to get traded until Mark Jackson got there. He saved not only the franchise, he saved the league. You think of Steph Curry saved basketball by making this dude and allowing him to be who he was.
Starting point is 00:02:43 He saved basketball and changed the culture of the way we play games today based on the way Steph plays. Someone had to have a vision to allow him to have that happen. He was the vision. I agree. I agree. I think Mark Jackson played a huge person. Pivotal role and the Warriors having that core group with Clay, Dray, Dremont, Steph. He kind of molded those guys, Uncle Ocho.
Starting point is 00:03:09 It's almost like somebody going to the damn casino warming up their damn slot machine. Then Steve Kirk come and he hit the damn jackpot. Yep. You know what I mean? Don't won four titles. You know what I mean? Going to the Hall of Fame of the coach. Wow, man.
Starting point is 00:03:23 I think Mark Jackson played a huge role in that dynasty and what they was able to do. I agree. They admit it. I mean, you hear Draymond, you hear Clay, you hear Steph, the toughness that he instilled in them. Yeah. The teamwork, the camaraderie. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:42 I just hate that he hadn't, you know, I'm glad, I'm glad a Jet said this. I just don't know why the man hadn't got a chance. I mean, you hear somebody come out and speak so glowingly about him and then for whatever reason the NBA has turned his back on him. I don't know everything. You hear certain things. I don't know what's true or not what is true and what isn't true.
Starting point is 00:04:02 I said I don't even feel comfortable speaking on what some of the things that people are saying. But I do know this. He's a hell of a basketball coach. He was a hell of a basketball player. He has a great mind for the game. He could speak the game. I love hear him talk. Actually, I sat down with Jack.
Starting point is 00:04:20 And he just, you know, some people just got a mind for basketball, Joe. Yeah, yeah. And he won him. And he has a mind for basketball. The way he looks at the game, you can tell guys that have very, very high IQs and how they talk about the game. I had a conference that used to sit down and talk to Isaiah a lot. I love Zeeke.
Starting point is 00:04:38 Hey, Zee, you know you promised us that you're going to come on. So, you know. I know he'll come on. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. I agree with you. Mark Jackson is a hell of a coach, was a hell of a coach.
Starting point is 00:04:52 I don't understand why he hadn't got an opportunity neither, Ocho. But when you look at it, I honestly, think he's probably a better analyst than he is he is a hell of an analyst bro i'm talking about the way he breaks a game down you know me a game the way he talks about it i enjoy watching him i enjoy watching him when he's a commentator of games he hadn't been doing he didn't done that in a few some odd years neither which is because richard jefferson them took uh j jr first of all it was doris burke and uh and richard jefferson and not no was it yeah yeah dorisberg and richard jefferson and took over for him the first year.
Starting point is 00:05:29 And now it's, what's the guy, legs, Tim Legler, Richard Jefferson, and Mike Brin. Yeah, so hopefully, even if he don't get a coaching job, which is kind of baffling because it's like, damn, how you help put together that whole Golden State roster with Hall of Famers? And you mean to tell me, man, that man don't get the chance to coach nowhere else.
Starting point is 00:05:49 Hell, I ain't even seen him analyzing games lately. Ocho, so he lets me know it's something deeper than, you know, what we obviously can see. Yeah, because the thing is, they were two places you can, they play games, they play games on Amazon and they play games on ESPN.
Starting point is 00:06:04 Yeah. Oh, NBC, NBC. And I would definitely thought NBC would give them a call, but hey, they went with the young guys. I think, uh, I hadn't,
Starting point is 00:06:13 um, I might see a clip of, uh, Crawford, Jamal Crawford. Yeah, yeah, he do, he do.
Starting point is 00:06:21 He do. He do him and Reggie Miller. Unbelievable. Yeah. Yeah, they do. Jamal, Jamal is great. Very careful.
Starting point is 00:06:27 I played with him a couple years here in Atlanta when he came and played with us for the Hawks. This is perfect for him, bro. This is what he thoroughly enjoys doing. And you can tell when you watch him analyze the game, bro. He really breaks down the game the right way, speaking in Jamal Crawford. So I know he got a bright future in this, but he wants to coach. Okay, Ocho, he wants to be a head coach someday in the NBA. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:51 Hey, well, Steve Kerr became a head coach and he was a manager. He was an analyst. He became a head coach. So anything, JJ Reddick became a head coach. He was working at first take. But, hey, eh, eh, ESPN, so it's possible. It's, these jobs will come available. You just have to be precise in the ones that you take.
Starting point is 00:07:11 You know what I mean? Because some of these jobs, here, you set up for failure, man. Let's just keep it 100. And then you got some. Obviously, like Steve Kerr took over for Mark Jackson. Damn, you, you're taking over a dynasty already. Maybe you didn't know it, but he had a system to where it worked for those guys.
Starting point is 00:07:27 and they were able to win four titles. So there are situations that happen like that, bro. So if you're patient enough, you get an opportunity, a good one too. Yeah, but we really, eh, hey. Yeah. Yeah, I think the thing is, I hope, look, I think Rondo would be a hell of a head coach.
Starting point is 00:07:50 I think you'd be a hell of a head coach. Because everybody, anytime, when they talk about basketball IQ, they say LeBron and I Rondo. Rondo LeBrono. Rhonda, Brondo is right there with LeBron, blah, blah, so forth and so on. So I want to see him get an opportunity. I think he'd be a heck of a head coach. I agree.
Starting point is 00:08:05 I thought he would have got that Pelican's job, but sometimes, man, if it ain't your time, it ain't your time, you just got to continue to be patient, continue to put the work in. I'll tell you another name. I like Rondo, too, even Chris Paul, from what he does with the AAU, the YBL teams. Huh? You think he wants to be a coach? I'm sure he would I'm sure he would
Starting point is 00:08:28 I'm sure he would it's just in them them point guards bro a lot of them they have that leadership mentality to where why I can lead these guys in the right direction
Starting point is 00:08:39 you know what I mean that's why you see a lot of these point guards get these head coaching jobs you know what I mean like you look at Steve Natch who never had a head coaching job anywhere
Starting point is 00:08:48 but because he was a two-time MVP he got the he got the Brooklyn job when they had Kyrie and KD Jason Kee is Yeah, Jason Kidd, and I had just competed against Jason Kidd the year before. When he was playing for the Knicks, I was playing for the Nets. Like, we had a hell of a rivalry.
Starting point is 00:09:03 Then he'd come over the following year, also. Now he's coaching us. You know what I mean? I thought that was one of the greatest seasons that we had, considering the fact that we all knew J.Kid, played with J.Kid and All-Star games. He was a great player's coach. He kind of understood because he had just come from playing the game. And he gave us a lot of leeway, bro.
Starting point is 00:09:27 And he knew he had guys who would, you know, go to bat for him. Yeah. Well, you know what I could see, too? Well, I could see old ISO, man, as the head coach. Boy, you're in coach ISO, Joe Johnson, Atlanta Hawks. You can see that. Yeah, but I can see it, Joe. I can see it.
Starting point is 00:09:47 I don't know. Sam Cassell is another one. Yeah, he go. He don't been on the bench. He don't been on the bench, a number of years. Been on Doc's bench. He's been on T. He's been on a lot of people.
Starting point is 00:09:55 people's benches. It's time of him to move to the front of the bench. Oh, yeah, his opportunity going to come soon. I probably say in the next year, too, he'll probably really, really get a chance to really coach a pretty good team. I think he's had opportunities on Coacho, but considering the teams that was probably offering him, he probably like, hell, no, because in two years, y'all going to be firing me. Yeah. Yeah, so that's how you got to look at it. Avery Johnson was a head coach. Yeah. That's my guy. Avery Johnson? Yeah. He coached me in, uh, he coached.
Starting point is 00:10:25 He coached me in Brooklyn, Uncle, one of the funniest coach I ever, but I'm talking about like, he's dead serious now. He, but he's just naturally funny because the way he talks,
Starting point is 00:10:35 but he loves the game. You're talking about somebody who immersed into the game, bro. Like when he talking to you, he puts so much emphasis on everything. Hey, Joe, I want you to get over there in the corner
Starting point is 00:10:46 and when that ball come to you. You shoot you. Don't waste no time. Don't worry about passing. Nobody, you shoot that shot because I trust you more than anybody else.
Starting point is 00:10:55 Hey, hey, uh, late game situation. He'd be rather be your baby. Yeah, I'm telling you guys, listen to me now. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What pop told me when I played for pop, pop used to tell me all the time, you're in charge out there. Yeah. Yeah, hey, he comes to me.
Starting point is 00:11:11 He comes to me in a late game situation. Hey, look, we're going to run this play. When that ball touch your hands, I need you to get a bucket, okay? Yeah, I need you. That's him. Hey, that's him. Great dude. I love coach Avery Johnson, bro.
Starting point is 00:11:28 He ain't take no crap, though, okay, Ocho. He was old school. You know, I can appreciate a good old school coach and say, I'm gonna do what I'm supposed to do. You hear me? But yeah, he kept it, he held everybody accountable, bro. Great, great dude, great coach. We see, that's how he, because he came up on the pop.
Starting point is 00:11:46 You know what I'll hold everybody account. If he holds him Duncan and David Robinson accountable, you best believe everybody else getting held accountable. Now, that cost him, that cost him a Kauai. Yeah. But that's the only way he knew how to coach. Yeah. His way at a highway, baby.
Starting point is 00:12:03 That's it. Another big gift for the 76 is, Phil Handy. Phil Handy. I don't know, was he led out, he was bought out of his contract. He was at Dallas, and now he's headed to the Sixers. He's worked in Nick. He was on Nick Nurse staff when they won the championship in 2019.
Starting point is 00:12:20 He was with LeBron with the Lakers. He was with the LeBron with the Cavaliers. So there's some familiarity there. Great guy. Love Phil. I'm excited. Hey, hey, and when we talk about development, okay, Ocho, Phil Handy has done that.
Starting point is 00:12:37 You look at Austin Reeves for the Lakers. Who Austin Reed was working with, Uncle Ocho, them first couple years he was in the league. Phil. Field handy. You know what I mean? He puts the time in, he puts the work in to help these guys reach another level.
Starting point is 00:12:51 Hey, hey, look, I don't blame Phil Hill. I don't want out to Philly too, considering what they got out there. I can go out there and put my little mark on the game and help these guys reach another level. Boy, please. And, and he worked with, what you call him? He helped Ruud with his shot.
Starting point is 00:13:05 There you go. Yeah. Yeah, he held up a developer. I see a lot of breakdowns with him and Kyrie over the summer. The way they work, they do camp. They do a lot of camps. He does a lot of teaching, bro, teaching the game, showing these guys how to play the right way.
Starting point is 00:13:21 Whether it's handling the ball, shooting the ball, getting the different spots. know, playing at three, four different speeds, having a change of pace, he has been probably the best at that. So I look for him, and Philly trying to, hey, hey, we talk about the hell the Rams loading up, Philly loading up too, not with just players. They're getting coaches too. That's going to be, hey, hey, I'm happy for him.
Starting point is 00:13:47 I'm happy. Yeah, he's nice. 16th high school football wire receiver, Mike Brockton, has gone via him for tiring over his teammate last season. Check a look at these videos on Joe and Joe. 610, damn. He got that two on on it, man. Man.
Starting point is 00:14:06 Where that, that Georgia? I don't know where it's that. Where's that? What, oh, he's a wide receiver. He's a wide receiver? He's a wide receiver. At 610? Dude.
Starting point is 00:14:19 Ooh. Ooh. And that skinny, what else he gonna play? I don't know, man, but that. Howie Carlinch was six eight. I'm saying that 6'10, this kid must got some wheels on her. He on the basketball team, not, Joe. Yeah, he's got to play basketball.
Starting point is 00:14:43 He's a Texas San Antonio basketball team. He what? He on the basketball team now. What basketball team? University of San Antonio, Texas at San Antonio. Oh, is it really? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:57 Yeah. But 16, you can't play football that tall. Red zone, he'd be good for Red zone. Man, they bring his ass up. He don't know how to get up no press coverage. I'm pressing the hell out of him, Joe. At 16, because look, if you press him, you're going to be up on them, too.
Starting point is 00:15:15 It's going to be hard for him to get your hand. Get out of that ball. Drive him like a Honda. Get Bell, Pure Fiber Internet with Crave Netflix and Disney Plus. from $94 a month, price guaranteed for two years on internet with a two-year term and auto pay credit. Visit bell.ca for details and to check availability. Bell, connection is everything. I'm Munga shit together and I'm back with a new season of the podcast Skyline Drive. This time I'm diving into a rabbit hole of peptides, organoids, blood boys, blue zones, and brain replacement
Starting point is 00:15:54 to try to understand what this longevity obsession is all about and what it really means to live forever for all of us. I learned about some rad science. I can make a brain for you, and then we can test what draw is the best for your brain, as opposed to his brain. Here are some hard truths. I would expect Indians to age faster, but I did not expect it to be almost a four to five-year acceleration. And get myself into a world of trouble. I'd say probably start bone smashing.
Starting point is 00:16:30 That doesn't work. Make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know. Listen to Skyline Drive How to Live Forever on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. On the new podcast, Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman. I can wait four hours for the next bus or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle.
Starting point is 00:16:55 I chose option B. I'm Julie Pinero, and I travel by myself because it's a rare space where I can say yes without asking any. anyone else first. I'm on a mission to reclaim the word solita, trading the pity for possibility. Every time I tried to be alone, I kept meeting people, and they were like, you smiled at us. Not a lot of people smile around here. It's when you're alone that you're most receptive to the world as it is, and not the lies
Starting point is 00:17:23 you're sold about it. It can be a time where you push your limits, change your mind, or wake up to a new version of yourself. So whether you're a solo travel veteran or you're too nervous to book your first trip, I hope you listen to Solita on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, this is Hayes Davenport. And Sean Clements. We host the podcast Hollywood Handbook on the Big Money Players Network.
Starting point is 00:17:49 Our show is extremely accessible to first-time listeners. Each week, we talk to someone in show business, aka the biz, and try to help them with their careers and see what they have to offer us. Everyone has a good time and no one gets mad at their publicists for letting them do our show. We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman, not that great. Actually, can you help me shape this? How about we flip it on his head, right? How about we flip the script?
Starting point is 00:18:14 What is the surprise woman? Actually, you think is the straight man is actually the one who's acting weird. Adam Scott. This entire time, you've been expecting Adam Sandler to come to visit. visit the show. I would never expect, I have, I would never set expectations for something like that to happen. If the universe allows for something like that to happen, I'm open to it. I'm always going to accept. You know, Danny McBride, fine. Yeah, it's all this fragile masculinity. Exuding. I could smell it walking down the hallway, to be honest with you. I was like, is that,
Starting point is 00:18:53 I was like, is that weed? Nope, it's fragile masculinity. Ben Stiller, no. Because a lot of times, out of context, people don't get it or even know what a circle is. You know what I mean? They're like, oh, it's so stupid. Everyone's so dumb except for you. And fake. Right, fake and also not interested or just like, oh, I've got my life. I don't care about your life.
Starting point is 00:19:16 And a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are without us. Oh, and by the way, Will Ferrell told us personally he loves the show and he wants to be a guest on every episode, but he's just so busy. Starting point is 00:22:14 jumping like that yeah it was good i preferred the hot dogs the lady kind of screamed at me and was like, boy, I told you we ain't got no more. My bad. I asked if they could put some more on the little grill. So you ain't the only lizard eater is out there, huh? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, people like, yeah. People enjoy hot dogs, huh?
Starting point is 00:22:34 I mean, Joe, no matter who makes fun of us. You are. You know, that's what I grew up on. Yeah, we know. Love eating. Yeah, hot dogs. Hey, Joe, y'all ain't had no beanie when y'all were growing up, man, with the baked beans,
Starting point is 00:22:51 your hot dogs cut up in there? I'm gonna be 602 years. I had all that Ocho. I had no beanie wieners in 40, 50 years. I did. They ain't had no hot dogs. People told me, oh, you don't got money. Bro, I stopped eating hot dogs.
Starting point is 00:23:05 I didn't like hot dogs when I was eating them. I just ate them because that's all we had. No, I don't like hot dogs. Yeah. I got a question. When the last time you had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in the microwave, warming in the microwave for like 10, 11. I have, I've had peanut butter and jelly say in the last, in the last year.
Starting point is 00:23:21 But I hadn't had no hot dogs. I hadn't had a hot dog. at least at bare minimum 30 years. Damn. Yeah. Hey, you don't know what you're missing. Hey, Ocho, you make your PBNJ and you put it in the microwave? 11 second, Joe, and that thing come out warm?
Starting point is 00:23:39 Like, hey, Joe, please tell me, you eat honey buns? Yeah, the honey bun I do like that. Yeah, the honey bun I do like that. Yeah, he's regular buns like that too, Ocho. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. You got a cheer. Listen, but, but on my PBMJ, Ocho, I butter, I butter the toast, right?
Starting point is 00:23:57 Boom, hold up. Oh, you, check me out. Just listen to me. I butter the toast. Throw that junk, I throw that John in the, in a toaster for a little minute. You know, I want it, I want my edges to be a little crisp, but I want the, the majority of it to be a little soft. You know what I mean? Then I apply that PBNJ.
Starting point is 00:24:15 Yeah. It got that little crunch. When you bite into it, you get that little crunch, that little soft crunch. Uh-huh. I used to eat them before game, Ocho. Yeah. I need the carbs. I need the energy.
Starting point is 00:24:27 You know, now they're done dealing with, you know, they got the crustables now that you got the without, without the edge, without the, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But see, Joe, I do mine different. Well, obviously my PB&J, I like it soft. Like, I like it soft, right? But what you just explain is when I go to Waffle House, I get the same thing every time.
Starting point is 00:24:45 I get a sauce egg and cheese sandwich on raisin and it's toasted the exact way, the exact same way you just explained. After every show, The people already be ready for my meal already be ready at Waffle House down the street. Everything. Yeah, I've been, you know, I typically, I've been to Waf House a few times after we get off the show, but mine don't consistent carbs. It'd be six eggs, three orders of chicken sausage.
Starting point is 00:25:10 You know, I might throw a little swine in that, but. God damn, John. I need the protein. Three orders? Three orders. That's six eggs? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:20 Okay. You getting ready to play me, huh? Man, you, you water on the bridge. on me. Yeah, I'll get ready to play. That man, water on the bridge. I ain't worried about that. Yeah, what it is.
Starting point is 00:25:35 No, I don't eat the hot dogs. I'm good on the hot dogs, bro. Yo, you be your hot dogs, too? I ain't ate one in the minute, but I grew up on them hot dog. Man, the birthday party had that was, that was number one, you know what I'm saying? What?
Starting point is 00:25:51 Hey, with pizza? Man, what? The only time we ate pizza was at school. You didn't have no pizza. A birthday party. You're gonna show bids? You ain't have show bids when you're there up? There was in Savannah.
Starting point is 00:26:05 It was in Savannah. Boy, show bids. We ain't gonna show bids when you were little. We didn't have show bids money. We had unemployed money. So you can't go to showbill with an unemployed money. Hey, Joe, Chuck, chuggy, chuggy, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:21 Pisa. Yeah, you're going there, the, the little puppies come out, little billy bob, Billy Bob, you should come out the big gorilla, about the big gorilla giant, man, I should love show being when I was little. But we eat so much pizza to your damn stomach hurting. No, the only time we had pizza, the only time I ever had pizza growing up with that school. You get them little square pizza.
Starting point is 00:26:40 Them little square jrilla. Hey, why you boojohn, the thing was banging, though. Hey, hey, oh, you say, our kids come right. Hey, you're going to eat your pizza today. You're going to eat. And you know, hey, the white kid, they, oh, this is gross. Gronbly, give me this. Let me get that on gross pizza.
Starting point is 00:26:58 So, fuck. Yeah. Hey, back then, back then when you had them square pieces, they had that white milk, that chocolate milk. Yeah. You had to eat, you had to drink one of them. Yeah. When I was a kid, your extra milk was cost you five cents.
Starting point is 00:27:14 Yeah. A bill was like, back there big, yeah, yeah. Yeah. 15 cents, get you three of them old chocolate milk. Back then, my stuff I had old cast iron stuff. With nothing bothered, I don't know what. I don't know what happened. I don't know what happened about stomach.
Starting point is 00:27:28 Hey, he ain't like a boy, when I was in elementary, boy, I could drink three full, five cards of chocolate milk and be cool. Yes. I can see, I can still do it. Oh, no, sir. Boy, I got to be, I got to be close to the house. I drink some chocolate milk. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:27:44 That's the only time I drink milk, if I have surgery, you go to anesthesia, because, hey. Right. Man, I drink that chocolate milk. You know what, hey, Joe, you know how that water. You take up that new car, that water will be coming out of the tailpile? That chocolate bill had to me like that right there. Oh, Kelly clean.
Starting point is 00:28:02 Hey, it's gonna hit me like that at some point? Nah, not your stomach, you're a gator. No, nothing. You don't see gators don't get sick. That's why they live so long. They ain't got no natural predator. And once they get to a certain size, if a human don't kill them,
Starting point is 00:28:21 they live to be 89 and 100 years old. Damn. Yeah, I got that. I like too much stuff that come with, you know, that with milk is involved, Joe. You know, obviously I get my cafe on leche when I'm in my Cuban spot. When I go to Starbucks, I always use whole milk.
Starting point is 00:28:35 You use whole milk when you go to the coffee joint? Oh yeah, boy, you got something like gorilla. Yeah, I don't know how you. Wait, Joe, but I grew up on milk eating cereal. I did too, oh Joe. I did too. Rossin flakes. So how could, wait a minute, what, what did you do?
Starting point is 00:28:54 What changed in you where you can't drink have milk in my? I don't know what changed. but I change with it. Hey, hey, I tell you what, I eat some cereal, drink some milk. I need some alone time, okay? I don't need nobody to be around me, boy,
Starting point is 00:29:06 this thing is going to be bubbling over here. Yeah. Anytime I eat anything cheese, I travel with lactatee. Wait, Uncle, you can't have cheese either? If I have lactate, I can. But just to eat cheese, like I know what I can eat.
Starting point is 00:29:24 Man, I just don't eat anything and have to get on that plane. Oh, that's the worst. Hey, I start myself on the plane before I get on the full stomach and this thing ain't going to turn it and we up. Oh, man. I got, hey. First of, it's already hard just to take a leak on the plane.
Starting point is 00:29:44 Imagine trying to sit. Man, hell, no. I couldn't do it. I can't do it. I can't on the plane. I have never gone to the bathroom on the plane. Ain't going. You ain't never used it.
Starting point is 00:29:54 Number two? I didn't number two on the plane. on the plate yeah oh come on oh joe i told you joe man listen i told you just joke a good and nasty hey joe yo yo on listen listen listen listen chad i know chat y'all boozy man they have it there for a reason joe give yourself a two minute span joe give yourself a two minute span so you're getting in there fast they already have the toilet tissues to cover you ain't even got to sit down joe all you got to do is squat you got squat get in there you close the bathroom in the back boom Pants down.
Starting point is 00:30:27 Boom, just like this. Do what you need to do. Get that out of there. Oh, Joe. Hey, hey, Joe, listen to me, Joe. Take the toilet tissue. You got to wrap it three times. Remember wrap it three times because they use one plaque in the, in a, in a airplane.
Starting point is 00:30:45 Huh? Front to the back. Wrap it again. Come back front to back. You ain't got no, go. You three times just to make sure you clean. Ocho, Ocho. Oh, Joe.
Starting point is 00:30:55 Just to take a leak I got to stand there and damn their hip thrust Throw my hips up in front of me while my head leaning back I can't even get comfortable If I try to sit down and take a deuce on the plane I can't get comfortable bro I'm gonna need the door open Hey Joe I just hold you squat
Starting point is 00:31:13 Joe you got the squat you can't you change you I can't do that old Joe I'm sorry I can't do I'd rather I'd rather get on the plane on the empty stomach then get on that fat fool. I'm going to keep it real. Yeah. Y'all, sure, man. So listen, you're going from Atlanta to Vegas
Starting point is 00:31:31 and you got to do with number two. What you're going to do? Well, I'm going to be sleep. What's you talking about? I'm going to be sleep. I don't stay up on them long flights, Ocho. I'll make sure when I get on there,
Starting point is 00:31:43 I'm probably going to sleep the first three hours. I'm going to keep it real. I ain't got to worry about that because the first thing I do, I get up, I drink me about 10 ounces of warm water. Yeah. What did that do? You're going to run it through him.
Starting point is 00:31:56 What? You put a little limit in that? You're going to put a little lemon in your warm water? Just number a little warm water. Yeah. By the time I take a shower, be getting everything done, pack up my suitcase. By that time, hey, I always leave about $30,40,
Starting point is 00:32:14 because I know he already looked like I smashed the pumpkin. Hey, Joe. I'd be good. I'd be good, ready to go. I'd be yeah, be light. Yeah, man. Yeah. Mm-mm.
Starting point is 00:32:31 Y'all, hey, the stuff I see is normal, but y'all, y'all be tricky. Because we're gonna do some to the plane? Yeah, I mean, it ain't about the plane. It's anywhere in public. That's why they have public restroom. That's called public restroom for a reason
Starting point is 00:32:44 because you're in public and you're not home. Well, that's what... I mean, why not use it if it's at your disposal? Well, that's when you got to know, you got to know your stomach, uh-oh-o-o-o-o-oh. I ain't eating. I'm telling you, I ain't going to eat nothing.
Starting point is 00:32:54 They're going to have me having to go take a deuce, and I got a four. and a half hour flight bro I'm sorry I ain't I got I can't I got a ball of modium I got a modium tablet and I got lactate hey boy hey y'all drink me a good old swig I get me a good old swing and out of modium yeah if I'm gonna eat some cheese or something like that I'm gonna have what you call them I'm gonna have taking them lactate get me two lactate yeah yeah that'll hold your boy down y'all tripping
Starting point is 00:33:29 this joke will be flying cross country going to the bathroom on the plane absolutely yeah I'm good I take your word for it I just can't do it let's take a listen to our second one what
Starting point is 00:33:42 what's up oh cho what's up Iso y'all I see I'm working the merch walking the merch appreciate y'all man all three y'all man big three shit man
Starting point is 00:33:56 y'all keep doing y'all thing man i just got a question though what are your expectations you're all looking for from your teams from your respectful teams oh yeah i like that i'm gonna go first because my respectful team the way my quarterback been talking all off-season is super bowl a bus boy joe and uh hey chat i'm just telling you the way joe been talking man i'm man you got to come out there man looking like goddamn superman yeah right huh he put in two you're putting too He's putting too much of a target on him based on the words that he's saying. So now, not only that, now you've got to go and back up everything you're saying.
Starting point is 00:34:36 Now, can he do it? Yes, we've seen him do it. What makes it easy? His supporting chaos that's around him. I'm hoping my young bull stay upright, you know, do what he doing in that pocket, you know, little magic man, you know, little footwork. And he wheeling and dealing to chasing Higgins, man. That's it.
Starting point is 00:34:51 And I hope that defense show up. Hey, what was that the Cowboys call themselves the offense? They call them the greatest, what? the greatest offense of them pickings and uh c d lamb college greatest offense today yeah as i i listen g ot yeah g ot i expect i expect for us to be one of the top teams in the league in all sincerity i expect for us to be one of the top teams in the league and uh with super bowl aspiration yes i do yes you already know who he's in the who he's in the nancy championship game last year. We're going to be back right back there.
Starting point is 00:35:34 You're talking about the Bronco? For sure. What about the Ravens? What about the Raven? We probably win that division. What division? AFC North. Man, you know what Lamar do to Joe. Oh, Joe, you know what he do, man.
Starting point is 00:35:52 You know what he do. You talk about the past. You bring the old stuff like Joe say. Bring the old stuff like Joe say. It's a new year. It's 2026. Everybody is oh and old. What you've done in the past?
Starting point is 00:36:06 It holds no weight right now. None at all. You know, listen, I like Baltimore. I love Lamar, you know. The city has been good to me. The fans of Baltimore have always been good to me. Hell, I've been good to them. But as far as the AFC North are concerned,
Starting point is 00:36:22 whatever the record may be in the past has nothing to do with 2026 football season that starts in a half. Okay. Okay. And I say that with nothing but love. Oh, no, they said the offense. is the G-O-T-I. Greatest offense there is.
Starting point is 00:36:40 Oh, okay. Okay, okay. Got it. Yeah. I like it. I mean, I guess I must digrest the RA. So what are they going to call y'all, Ocho? What are they going to call the RAM?
Starting point is 00:36:52 Because they like the RAB got a slouch offense. Hey, it's four teams. It's four teams in this NFL, right? Offenses are, ain't no, they can make up a name, and it makes sense. That's Cincinnati. That's Dallas. That's Seattle. And that's the Rams.
Starting point is 00:37:13 And there's one more team that ain't too far. Wait a minute. You know what? I apologize Detroit fans. Oh, yeah. I apologize Detroit fans for leaving y'all out. Yeah. Could they get La Portia back with J-Mo and Amin-Raw?
Starting point is 00:37:26 With Gibbs? Nasty work. Nasty work. Let's take a listen to our last one. Ha. Freak one. Freak two. Hey, so, what up, man?
Starting point is 00:37:42 What up, man? Getting ready for his workday. So, stay from Indianapolis, 317. I just got a question for you, man. Why don't John Taylor get the respect they deserve? You know, that boy, top three, top five running back. And y'all, y'all be talking about, you know, dead Henry all of these folks, man. I have to push some respect of my boy.
Starting point is 00:38:03 That's because, hey. Wait, on who? On who? John's a Taylor. That's because they don't value the running back no more. Wait, we did talk about John Taylor. He just got paid. He just got paid because he's the top three
Starting point is 00:38:15 running back in the NFL. We listed Jim McGill's, Bejohn Robinson, Christian McCaffrey, Jonathan Taylor, Derek Henry, and Sequin. Those backs are the elite or the elite. Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. Those are your elite backs. Yeah.

I'm Munga shit together, and I'm back with a new season of the podcast Skyline Drive. This time I'm diving into a rabbit hole of peptides, organoids, blood boys, blue zones. and brain replacement to try to understand what this longevity obsession is all about and what it really means to live forever for all of us. I learned about some rad science. I can make a brain for you,
Starting point is 00:39:25 and then we can test what draw is the best for your brain, as opposed to his brain. Here are some hard truths. I would expect Indians to age faster, but I did not expect it to be almost a four-to-year-old. five-year acceleration. And get myself into a world of trouble. I'd say probably start bone smashing.
Starting point is 00:39:47 That doesn't work. Make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know. Listen to Skyline Drive, How to Live Forever on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. On the new podcast, Solita, we share the messy reality of traveling alone as a woman. I can wait four hours for the next bus, or this random dude is offering me a ride on his motorcycle. I chose option B. I'm Julie Pinero, and I travel by myself because it's a rare space
Starting point is 00:40:17 where I can say yes without asking anyone else first. I'm on a mission to reclaim the word solita, trading the pity for possibility. Every time I tried to be alone, I kept meeting people and they were like, you smiled at us. Not a lot of people smile around here. It's when you're alone that you're most receptive to the world as it is and not the lies you're sold about it. It can be time where you push your limits, change your mind, or wake up to a new version of yourself. So whether you're a solo travel veteran or you're too nervous to book your first trip, I hope you listen to Solita on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. If your bookshelf and your for you page are equally important to your personality, welcome home.
Starting point is 00:41:06 This is Pros Society, the weekly podcast that's part book club, part group chat for thought daughters, pop culture obsessives, and anyone who thinks Pride and Prejudice and Love Island deserve the same level of discourse. I'm Eli Rallo and every week we're connecting the dots between books, the internet, and the conversations everyone can't stop having. I'm going to have to look up this story. I'm obsessed. So I'm obsessed. From bestselling authors and your favorite book talk creators to the latest pop culture moments, nothing is off the table. It's like if you can hide some real messages inside compelling characters, then that is a Trojan horse. Whether you're looking for literary deep dives, smart pop culture conversations, or a community of readers who love to think a little too much, you're in the right place.
Starting point is 00:41:52 Listen to Pro Society on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. See you between the pages. Hey, this is Hayes Davenport. And Sean Clements. We host the podcast Hollywood Handbook on the Big Money Players Network. Our show is extremely accessible to first-time listeners. Each week, we talk to someone in show business, aka The Biz, and try to help them with their careers and see what they have to offer us.
Starting point is 00:42:17 Everyone has a good time, and no one gets mad at their publicists for letting them do our show. We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman. Actually, can you help me shape this? How about we flip it on his head, right? How about we flip this around? What is the surprise woman? Actually, you think is the straight man is actually the one who's acting weird. Adam Scott, this entire time you've been expecting Adam Sandler to come to visit the show.
Starting point is 00:42:48 I would never expect. I have, I would never set expectations for something like that to happen. If the universe allows for something like that to happen, I'm open to it. I'm always going to accept. You know, Danny McBride, fine. Yeah, it's all this fragile masculinity exuding. I could smell it walking down the hallway, to be honest with you. I was like, is that weed?
Starting point is 00:43:12 Nope, it's fragile masculinity. Ben Stiller, no. Because a lot of times, out of context, people don't get it or even know what a circle is. You know what I mean? They're like, oh, what's just a state. Everyone's so dumb. And fake. Right, fake and also not interested.
Starting point is 00:43:29 or just like, oh, I've got my life, I don't care about your life. And a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are without us. Oh, and by the way, Will Ferrell told us personally he loves the show and he wants to be a guest on every episode, but he's just so busy. Listen to Hollywood Handbook on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Absolutely. Dick, here is the first running back to rush for 9,900 yards, and then win the rushing title. Let that sink in.
Starting point is 00:43:56 The man rushed for 1900 and then win the Russian title. First time in NFL history, somebody's rushed for 1900 and didn't win the Russian title. Damn. That's what I said when went for 2006. Oh. So, Sam LeGrand said,
Starting point is 00:44:13 I bet they ain't saying Aaron Donald chasing the ring. Of course not. They like Aaron Donald. I mean, I'm just trying to figure out, I'm just figuring out how people say LeBron was watched
Starting point is 00:44:24 and now he'd go to Philly, now he ring chasing. How do you ring chasing if you watch? Oh, no, mind. Don't worry about it. You know how they move the goal post? It's hard. It all depends on who it is.
Starting point is 00:44:39 And I like AD2. I ain't got no problem with AD. I think he's phenomenal. He's been phenomenal since he's been in league, a 10-time pro bowler, an eight-time first-team all-pro. Only Lawrence Taylor can say that. But, no, they ain't going to say that. Yo, oh, Ocho, Iso.
Starting point is 00:45:00 Back with another one, start, bitch cut. Charles Wilson, Rod Wilson, Champ Bailey. I'm starting Seawood. I'm starting Rod Wilson. And then you're going champ Bailey? Hey, Rod Wilson was so good, boy. And you know what? This is not fair when, Chad, when y'all give us these names like this,
Starting point is 00:45:20 and you talk about the cream of the crop where regards to who you pick, you can't go wrong, I don't like that. I don't like that. But for me, I'm going to go against, I'm obviously going to put the two that I've going against. I understand the greatness that is Rod Woodson. But I got a chance to chase the face. Champette.
Starting point is 00:45:38 I got a chance to face Charles Woodson. for me, I'm going to go, whoo, that's tough. I'm going to just go with Champ first and then see Wood. Okay. Because I saw, I saw Champ more time than I saw Charles Woodson. And then I obviously, listen, Darren Woodson. I mean, Darren Wilson.
Starting point is 00:46:00 Rob wasn't as great as he was. I have no choice. That's not fair. Well, I was in the league. I got a chance to go against all of them. I was in the league with Woody won defensive player the year. He got some of the best hands I've ever seen for a guy. And people don't realize for his size,
Starting point is 00:46:21 Rod ran 428 at like 210 pounds, 212 pounds. He was a world-class hurdler. I can't, I can't cut my homeboy champ from Charlton County. So we used to play each other. I didn't play him. Obviously, I'm much older than champ. We didn't play him, but we used to play the school, Charlton County.
Starting point is 00:46:41 So I'm going Rod, champ. Sorry, Woody. Damn. Ocho, what is the overall you giving Aaron Donald, Man 27? Also, why Uncle not a 99 overall in Man? Much love to the nightcap crew, thanks. I mean, Aaron Donald coming back, coming back two years removed from the game,
Starting point is 00:47:08 I'm not sure what the team over at EA is going to do. I'm sure they're going to have conversations about it. But when he left the game, he was a 99. He was. When he left the game, he was a 99. So I had... They're probably going to bring it back.
Starting point is 00:47:23 At that position, yeah, that's way above my pay grade. They're probably going to bring it back, Ocho, about a 93. And Lady Merckers way back up there. Yeah, 93. That's high. Oh, yeah, yeah, it is. I don't know why I ain't know a 99 overall in man. I don't have nothing about no.
Starting point is 00:47:45 It's better. I, oh, you never played, you never played video games coming up? Yeah, I used to play, I used to play Jowse,
Starting point is 00:47:54 the little Pac-Man, stuff. It just, it just wasn't your thing, though. My attention was bad ain't that long. Hey, Jouse,
Starting point is 00:48:02 what they was on, Flamingos, right? What was they on? The Flamingo? I remember that. Joss was good. Damn. Rams doing all this
Starting point is 00:48:10 just to lose the DAC in the NFC championship game. Hello. You only didn't even been to the championship game. Y'all didn't, the Cowboys, they ain't been
Starting point is 00:48:16 to the championship game in that lifetime. Oh, not too much. Not too much. Not too much. Not too much. Not too much.
Starting point is 00:48:23 Not too much. Because he did, you go to talk my old stuff again. Listen, the man said what he said, okay? We ain't studied no damn Rams because they got Miles Gaird and Aaron.
Starting point is 00:48:33 Yeah. Me. Yeah. You know, you know they listen to the show. Oh, they listen. They listen. I want bad.
Starting point is 00:48:38 Okay. All right. I don't think the Rams' offense can carry them this year. They need them to be stout on defense. Matthew Stafford, the MVP, Devonte Adams led the league in touchdown catches. Puka led the league in catches.
Starting point is 00:48:56 And Kyra Williams, ran for over 1,200. And you don't think they can. No, they're going to be serious, no. They're going to be serious. I don't know what they talk about. I don't know what Rams you must be talking about. You must be talking about the 70 Rams.
Starting point is 00:49:09 They're going to be serious. He might probably talk about Colorado City. That must be the Rams he's talking about. What up, big three, Ocho, and O'Chel and O'all should come back and play for the Rams since it's going to be easy to get a ring this year. Easy ring. Stavre can get y'all touchdown.
Starting point is 00:49:25 Nah, ain't no such thing is no easy ring, bro. You still got to run that gauntlet. You got to play 17 games. You got to avoid injuries. You got to play your best football every single week. Because although they're going to be going to a lot of these games, Ocho, as the more talented of the teams, but you have it off day and somebody tripped you up.
Starting point is 00:49:42 And they're going to have a bulls aisle on their back every weekend, bro. They're going to get teams best games. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Every time. Yeah, you ain't going to catch nobody sleeping. They see the Rams coming in town. Man, let me get some rest tonight.
Starting point is 00:49:56 I can't wait to get up. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's one of them. Hey, Joe, I seen Aaron Donald coming back, Joe. Shoot, man, I had a text. I had the text the Bengals head coach. I take, I take Zach Taylor. I was like, man, shit, well, can I come out of retirement, too? I said his response to unc, man.
Starting point is 00:50:16 He put the laughing emoji. And that was it. That was funny. You ain't coming out of retirement after no 15 years. Who. You. And I get out there and sauce these boys, man. You're tripping.
Starting point is 00:50:31 Your hamstring, the Achilles go snap. Man, man, please. Tell, tell Pat Sertaine get up, get in front of me and watch what happened. Hey, hey, uh, hey, Joe, remember how Moses part of the RAC? Even though we never got a chance to see it, I'm going to show you what it looked like. Hey, you call it out one of the best.
Starting point is 00:50:51 You call it out one of the best in the game. Man, this is me. You get up there and bump and run and press if you want to. What? Yeah, okay. Denzel Ward, Christian Gonzalez, huh? Trent McDuffie,
Starting point is 00:51:09 sauce gardener. Stingley. Man, all men, I run through the guy. I had him boy name in my locker, Joe. Joe, he got, I put my money on a note, Joe, Watson for the time. Hey, Joe, right now. Right now, I'm taking that land for the name.
Starting point is 00:51:24 And some of the ones he didn't name. Joe, everybody I just named right now. All of them. Lasseter. They can get their word. Tarique Woolen. You want a spoon too, huh? Man, Spoon, when I'm done with him, he's gonna be a fork.
Starting point is 00:51:44 Huh? Huh? Yo, I'm checking, many, man, boy, man. Joe, I'm telling you, boy, I'm telling you, boy. I ain't lose another opportunity, boy. Yeah. All right, so what's the best in-game dunk you saw while playing? Uncle Ocho, how about a touchdown you remember?
Starting point is 00:52:03 Love the three of the amigos. Best in-game dunk? Bro, I had the pleasure to play with Amari Stoddemei. He just went to the Hall of Fame this year. Okay, Ojo. Hey, man, you're talking about a guy who came straight out of high school? And when he touched the grounds in Phoenix,
Starting point is 00:52:27 I'm just keeping it 100, bro. I've never seen a guy. He don't have a play mode in his game, meaning like if we all were playing 21, you know, we could casually play, have fun. That man straight on goal. You know what I mean? And I thought when I used to see him in the summer league before his first NBA game, I swear.
Starting point is 00:52:47 He was dominating the summer league. Uncle Ocho, I'm talking about dunking on cast left and right. I'm like, damn, I'm thinking to myself because he asked me after one summer league game, he said, he said, hey, Jay, it's going to be this easy when the season starts. I say, hell no, boy, that boy going to be on you. You hear me? They ain't going to let you breathe. Man, the season started, that man, was dunking on everybody who was in his damn way.
Starting point is 00:53:09 Do you hear me? I'm talking about if you was in his runway, boy, you call it. I don't care if you was KG. I don't care if you was Duncan. I don't care if you was Webb. I don't care if you were Rashid Wallace. I don't care who you were.
Starting point is 00:53:23 Hey, man. They young man, he just had no chill, bro. It was like, it's go hard or go home. He wanted to tear your heart out. I've seen that man put some cast on some posters. Yeah. Hey, I remember Uncle Joe, Amari started my dad. I didn't know who he was at the time.
Starting point is 00:53:40 Obviously, this is way back. I don't know what high school he went to, but I remember somebody in the chat that's from Miami, you might remember this. Starting point is 01:08:15 Damn. I got to. I got it. Look here. I'm old enough to remember, Joe. And as you was here when the Michael Vick experience was going on in Atlanta, ain't nothing been like it says,
Starting point is 01:08:26 not in the quarterback position. I don't care. I don't care who won. What ain't nobody had a Georgia Dome jumping like number seven. Hey man, that man not only damn Georgia Dome, but the city of Atlanta, the state of Georgia. Man, he had this thing buzz in Ocho. You hear me? I know y'all know, boy.
Starting point is 01:08:47 Hey, that boy put on a real show, boy. Watch an Uncle Ocho debate, Cam Ward a couple of days ago was like watching Scar play with his fool on the Lion King. If you could have any artist singing singing voice past or present, whose voice would you choose? Ocho, Isso's arguments are the best. If you could have anybody's voice, Ocho, who you got? I take Big Luther. Big Luther?
Starting point is 01:09:27 Big Luther. I thought you were going to take Sinatra. Who you got, Joe? That's a good one, but I'll take Luther. Voice, I don't know, I take baby face. Oh, that's a good one. I like that. That's a good one.
Starting point is 01:09:51 Don't you remember you told me you love me, baby. I was surprised y'all. What did you go? I want somebody to go up, go up, up. I'm going to take Philip Bailey. What you know about? What you know about Mr. Bailey now? Earthwood and five.
Starting point is 01:10:10 You said you'll be coming back this way in. The reasons. Yeah. Man, I should have been a singer, man. Could you imagine if I had a voice, Uncle Joe? Yeah, then you'd have been a single, but you had feet, so you became a football player. But I'm just saying, if I had feet and I could sing, boy?
Starting point is 01:10:38 So you want to be Denzel to be able to catch a football too, right? Yeah. So you won't got to give you just all the talent. Dude, tripping. Hey, I'm just saying, that's, hey. He won't got, he won't God to give him all the talent. He's tripping. Hey, you know what, I got a question?
Starting point is 01:10:55 Uncle Joe, what you think? Hey, chat, y'all, y'all would know better to me, especially those that have a background and vocals and singing. Is it ever too late to learn how to sing or once your voice is what it is, there's really no correcting it or even improving it? Man, you got to breathe, you got to know how to breathe and sing from that diaphragm, Ocho.
Starting point is 01:11:14 I guess you could probably learn, but I mean, it's a lot easier to learn stuff when you're a kid. When you're young, yeah. And you got to have somewhat of some talent too now here. just can't be though like you yeah yeah you gotta have some you gotta have some form of talent and singing like to where somebody can be like man look if we if I can help you I can help you tweak a few things boy you'll be a superstar yeah you ain't so I don't like I don't like

Damn. Yeah. You don't think I can say. Hey, same thing I had to tell my oldest son, man.
Starting point is 01:12:03 Hey, hey, hey, boy, you just didn't get the height daddy guy. You know, it's your height. It just ain't going to happen, man. You know, we got to, we got to look at playing B, bro. You got, we got to go with something else. Yeah, it's always okay. Huh? How tall is he?
Starting point is 01:12:18 He ain't been like 5, 10. Oh. Damn. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, my daughter, my daughter at 12, she didn't even, she'll turn 13 to December 19. She fired nine at 12.
