Ravens signs eight flowers to a four-year extension, $140 million, deal worth $108 million guarantee. 35 million per year, ties flowers with Justin Jefferson among the fourth highest paid wide receivers, as far as contract value. Here are the number one.
Starting point is 00:03:03 JSN, 42.15. Chase, 40.25. Drake, London, 35.25. Zay Flowers, Justin Jefferson at 35, C.E.11, 34. But what he got was $30 million more than anybody got guaranteed, Ocho. He got 108 million. Joe.
Starting point is 00:03:24 Yes. Jerry going to really, really hate that he didn't sign pick. because he going to pay receivers are now getting triple figures triple figures and guaranteed money oh it's all about time inflation
Starting point is 00:03:42 inflation inflation yeah yeah pick gonna get his money man where's gonna be from I'm just asking it's gonna be the cowboy
Starting point is 00:03:57 so we're gonna win it okay Listen, I want him to get paid too, but. I just don't see. So what you're going to do with CD? He's going to get the money, too, huh? What are you going to do with that? Man, Jared Pockock's long.
Starting point is 00:04:13 Why y'all ain't like that man Pock's man? I know he pocket long. But let me ask you a question. What are you going to do about Quentin Williams? Oh. Hey, guess what, fellas. Did you see what the old boy just got? Jaila Carter?
Starting point is 00:04:27 From the Eagles. Eagles? Yeah. Yeah. Jeffrey Simmons. Hey, yeah, you got a bag, you got a bag. Grant Jones? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:36 And I think what's called on to make it like $22 million. And you got a guy making it almost $50 million a year. Yeah, Joe. Hey, we're going to cross that bridge when we get to it, okay? Hey, listen, I'm with you. When you're right, man. Yeah. I know, but these owners telling players, you know what?
Starting point is 00:04:57 We bet we bet against you. So we want you to better on your side. Let me see you do it again. It's going to hurt. Joe, what's up? In the words of Joe crack, yesterday's price, not today's price.
Starting point is 00:05:11 Hello. Hello. Hello. Pooka decor. Hired new agents submit the RAM contract rumors ahead of 2026 NFL season. Are the Rams in trouble if Puka
Starting point is 00:05:22 extension isn't reached? Ocho, who, who does this rep. Yo. Go ahead. Go ahead, Ocho. I saw it. It's something, sports.
Starting point is 00:05:30 Some company, I saw it early. Yeah, I saw it early today. But no, they're not in trouble. He's in practice. He's working. He's doing everything necessary. He's doing everything he's supposed to be doing to get ready for this season. They have another stellar season, you know, and he's going to reset the market.
Starting point is 00:05:50 I'm not sure with JSC got. I don't know the numbers that are not in front of me. Chris Oliva, he didn't get above, you know, Jamar Chase or, I'm not. I think that's the same group that what you call him here Zayflower. Who? Mm-hmm. Okay, okay, okay. George Davis, Matt of Wicke, Dion Dawkins.
Starting point is 00:06:16 Hey, a, a, Puga fin to set the market. Are you, I already know it. Hey, that, eh, that number fin to be stupid. I don't know what it's gonna look like. I don't really know it though. He's gonna be looking at, uh, uh, uh, uh, what, 44, 40, 45, 44, 45. 4, 445. Damn.
Starting point is 00:06:35 Yeah. Yeah, yeah. He deserved every penny, too, Joe. Yeah, he's phenomenal. Who would deserve every penny up? Tough contested catches, run after the catch. He's everything. He just got, hey, he just got to keep his nose clean for the next six months.
Starting point is 00:06:51 Had he stayed out of trouble, it probably would have been done. They just want to make sure all the eyes are dotted, because the last thing I want is to give somebody $100 plus million dollars. And then I'm going to have him, have him suspended. Right. And we see there still, hey, you know how the NFL operate, oh, yeah, absolutely. But, yeah, I think Puka, I never thought I see, hell, I think I see a $30 million receiver, let alone a $40.
Starting point is 00:07:25 Eventually, we're going to see a $50 million receiver. At some point. It's coming, yeah. It's coming. Dak Prescott does what he said, you know, when they talk about it, let's talk about it. that's gonna get $70 million. Ew. They're by the guarantee that,
Starting point is 00:07:45 that's guaranteed. What they guaranteed, uh, uh, Josh Allen. Mahones. What do you got? Two some.
Starting point is 00:07:55 What? 303, 265, 285. Guaranteed. That by, deck by to get five years, $350,
Starting point is 00:08:02 $300 million fully guaranteed. Damn. Hey, we don't, don't, hey, don't worry about it. We're going to be just like that,
Starting point is 00:08:13 too. We're going to get with them two, three hundred million dollars. We ain't, it ain't going to be from shooting no balls and catching no touch. Hey, hey, hey. We're going to get something like that, Jocho. Hey, man, listen to me. Listen, I ain't tell you what I heard. I'm telling you what I know.
Starting point is 00:08:26 Well, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, one thing about that man, no place. We get something like that. I will fulfill that contract and you are going to be unkin ice. No, man, come on. Now you're going to leave us? What? Damn.
Starting point is 00:08:43 You can't get the money. And then dip, man, look here. There's a balcony in Bali that's calling me. Well, you can do the show from Bali. Nah, I got the trouble last time I tried to do a show. Hey, hey, God don't play by the, God don't play by the show. Look. Tell you, I'm telling you.
Starting point is 00:09:09 It's coming. Somebody asked me, said, man, your turnaround need to be studied. I said, why do you say that? He said, man, because you went through what you went through and look how you're doing right now. I say, I approached it just like I did. I see what you feel to realize. You can take a job from me.
Starting point is 00:09:28 You can fire me from a job, but you can't fire me from my talent. Hello. I still got that. Listen to me, chat. They can fire you from a job, but they can't fire you from your talent. Find out what your talent is. Develop that.
Starting point is 00:09:44 And you'll be just fine. Come on now. When the Broncos didn't sign me back, they fired me from, I couldn't play for the Broncos. I still was able to catch and run the football. So I went to Baltimore. Hello.
Starting point is 00:09:57 When Baltimore said, you know what, we got Todd Heath. I went back. When I left CBS, when CBS let me go, when Fox let me go, you fired me from a job,
Starting point is 00:10:08 you didn't fire me from this talent, because guess what, I can still talk. I can still entertain people. I can still educate. I still can explain what I watched and what I saw. Yeah. That's why.
Starting point is 00:10:24 Because they could take the job from me, but they couldn't strip me from this talent. Mm-mm. Mm-mm. Yeah. Now, I got two guys that we play very well with each other. We play, pause. You know, I play well with each other.
Starting point is 00:10:50 We play off of each other. We play off each other extremely well. We played to each other. other strengths. We have we have great time. Even though you know, Joe don't be wanting to answer the fall sometimes Joe. He's like man, he's like, man, what's you up to? I said, Joe, I just can't call to say how you doing. Hey, hey, hold, hold on time. You know, every time you're Ocho call, I get suspicious. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, Ocho, Ocho, I asked my phone. Look, he called me today. I asked him the
Starting point is 00:11:21 first thing I say, what's up, man? What's going on? What did you got going? Yeah. Yeah. I'm not with the phone like that. Normally, Ocho, normally, hey, hey, hello, hey, hello. Hey, what's up, man? How you doing?
Starting point is 00:11:34 I'm like with, hey. I'm like, well, damn, Joe, why you suspicious? Yeah. Hey, Chad, I had to watch, because I won't be knowing, chat, you know what I mean? I, hey, hey, hey, I'm down for a nice convoy, you know what I mean? I'm all, I'm a sponge. I'm trying to learn something.
Starting point is 00:11:51 You know what I mean? Yes, sir. Yes, sir. But when Ocho and Uncle called me, Chad, chat. I just never know. I just started to see how you doing. I just never know. Hey, and I appreciate you.
Starting point is 00:12:00 I said, Joe, I might be, hey, I'm gonna be in Atlanta. Hey, but then, Hey, Joe, Ocho, you ought to see I quick. The A, so what's up? What you want to do? It went from, hey. You were suspicious. And now you're like, oh, what's up? Well, at least, at least he answered your calls.
Starting point is 00:12:17 When I'm in Atlanta, he didn't put the phone with me. Man, you're talking my old stuff. Why are you talking my old stuff? Joe, that was just three weeks ago, Joe. man me hey hey I was in Atlanta I was in Atlanta for two days man I was like you know what I'm in Atlanta let me hit Joe you know go grab a little bite me you know you know politics a little bit man he and I call him three times you don't don't do don't don't do that oh Joe because I answer your calls when you call me listen
Starting point is 00:12:43 yeah that you answer my calls when I'm in there Miami yeah man man oh my bro bread all bro bread man we wouldn't have had a good little old time boy you missed that old oh Joe hey Joe said you all I can come back here. Hey, Ocho. Ocho, first of all, that thing was off the meat rack. You hear me, that thing was jumping. But you know, I'm moving like the president.
Starting point is 00:13:08 You know what I mean? Like, we're in and out like a robbery. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We ain't waiting too much time. Hey, yeah, yeah. My guy coming. You got it foooping me in straight to the back.
Starting point is 00:13:19 Hey, I came up the back straight to the back. What's the name of the place, though? What's the name of the place? It's a K. MCK. But we had a good time. Hey, Ocho. We had a good time, man.
Starting point is 00:13:32 We had a good time. If you in Atlanta, let us know. If you in Atlanta next week, let us know. We'll hook it up. I called the guy. You'll hook it up for us. MCK. That's a restaurant.
Starting point is 00:13:44 It's like it's a restaurant. It's a speak easy. They got hoot. They got loose a lounge over there. They got play great music. It's a great. I can smoke my, I can smoke my cigars in there.
Starting point is 00:13:54 Oh, hey. Hey, listen, I'm with you when you're right. And you said, speak easy. They listen, you know I like, you know I like to get up there and get a word, huh? Oh, Lord, here we go. Hey, listen, if y'all come, I got somebody get up there. Hold on, hold on, hold on.
Starting point is 00:14:08 You do open mic like poetry and all that? Yeah, Joe. Oh, Joe. I, listen, I know I'd be playing around. Joe, I used to do spoken word down here at the Hard Rock Cafe at the Hard Rock Hotel, down here at the piano bar. Yeah, man. You know, they got a piano bar and they have a, I do a little spoken word, man.
Starting point is 00:14:29 You know, I'm in the poetry and, I mean, poems and stuff like that. I like to do, oh, Joe, you know what I mean? I like to step by side of the box a little bit. I don't like to do everything that everybody else doing. I don't mind a little poetry, you know what I mean? Like I enjoy something like that, man. Man, look, I'm trying to get, look, I'm going to go in there and have a little conversation. I mean, Joe, I'm like, hey, Joe, you ready to go?
Starting point is 00:14:49 I'm like, what, damn Joe? Joe, Joe, then Joe, I'm like, bro, you ready to go? Okay, let's blow this Joe. Right, right, right. Hey, Ocho. But it's a nice line, it is. Yeah, I'm gonna do that. Joe, I'm glad to know you like, you know,
Starting point is 00:15:05 spoken word and stuff like, like, let me say, you know, Joe, you know something I still do to this day, because I love poetry and I love putting word play together, you know, I still write love letter, Joe. To your old lady? Yeah, and I mail it. I mail it to us, you know, so, you know,
Starting point is 00:15:23 because sometimes I'm, I'm, It's better for me to be able to express how I feel, you know, on paper as opposed to being able to communicate in person because I'm shy. Oh, man. I ain't buying that shot still. But, you know, I ain't wrote a love letter, Ocho, since I was in junior high school, man. Hey, matter of fact, Joe, let me tell you, surprise your girl, boy. Surprise.
Starting point is 00:15:41 Just write something. He ain't got to be long. Just tell her how you're feeling how much you appreciate, you know, what you've been through throughout the years and having her by your side is a foundation that you can continue to bill on later on in the future, Joe. I'm telling you, man. She was like, oh, my God. And spray a little cologne on the too, Joe.
Starting point is 00:15:57 Typically, I'd be a little close-minded off the stuff you'd be kind of referring to. You know, you be trying to get us to do. Right. So, you know, I kind of, you know, but I like the love letter thing. Yeah, but typically, you know, yeah, yeah, you be a little off hands. You know what I mean, but. You boy, you know, hey, hey, Joe. That joke.
Starting point is 00:16:16 Now, you know you work. You know your boy got to give up the gab. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I'm with you. I'm with you, you all right, you ain't, eh, hey.
Starting point is 00:16:25 All right, nobody. I think the last one, I think I might have wrote one in college. In college? In college. I graduated college before you graduated junior. Yeah, hey, Joe, sometimes you gotta, you know, I know, some people, you know, it's old school and, you know, but I mean, a letter, open up a letter,
Starting point is 00:16:47 it just does something to the psyche. Yeah, I appreciate that one, Ocho. I'm gonna have to, I'm gonna have. But you know what it is? Yeah, my hand, I mean, kids don't even write in cursive anymore. My hand write is terrible because I don't really write no more. I mean, I find myself writing in the cursive and the next thing you know I'm printing.
Starting point is 00:17:04 I'm like, well, damn. He's what it is. I didn't let my daughter, my daughter, I let my daughter write because she got great, great, I mean, she has great, oh yeah, and my sister. Yeah. Mm.
Starting point is 00:17:21 Mine is awful. Mine is terrible. So you think Pooka gonna get paid on Joe? You think you'll get paid? You think, let me, no, the question is, we know he's gonna get paid. Does he get paid before the season, or does he have to play this season
Starting point is 00:17:37 only the contract? Before. No, I think they definitely gonna take care of him before. They definitely gonna take care of before. Get it out the way, you know, not only they don't get it out the way, make him happy, let him know how much you, listen, we paying you this money
Starting point is 00:17:52 because we appreciate you, not only what you've done, but what you're gonna do for us for the foreseeable future. And he's gonna be one of the reasons why they make it, if they do make it, what, guess what a Super Bowl at this show? And tell me that won't be the perfect story. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:10 Playing Super Bowl right in your backyard, Aaron Donald returns. And that's why Aaron Donald coming back. Hey, listen, hey, the writing is on the wall now. The rightness on the wall. All right, it's time for our final saving the evening. It's time for Q and A. Behind every night spent making the kids' lunches,

My first thought is, like, what's up with the snacks? Like, what do we, what do we eating. The highlights, the rivalries, the breakout stars, the moments that take over

The show is famously super accessible so you can easily jump into any of our 650 episodes and understand what's going on. We recommend some of our recent episodes.
Starting point is 00:21:28 Those with Ben Stillard. The definition of what is a movie has kind of changed anywhere, too, right? What do you think it is now? It's images and words being spoken, captured by some sort of technology. Danny McBride. He loves Lowe. Oh, that's fantastic. And you make it on, you make your own.
Starting point is 00:21:45 That's great. I call him Terro Reed. It's a good name. They're all named after cast members of American Pie. Yeah. I call, I don't, I never looked up if she was in this, but I call him Leachy. Obieski. I don't think she was an American pie, but I still like that.
Starting point is 00:22:02 Haven't looked it up. She was prominent around the same time. Yeah. Then Mary Steenberg. Why are you guys talking to me? I'm worried. Why are you talking so down to me that you think I don't understand your little play game? I just really I get it. I'm trying to set you up for success here.
Starting point is 00:22:20 Listen to Hollywood Handbook on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Nick Tuttle. You probably know me from NYPD Blue, the longest yard, or Spike Lee's Black Klansman. But I'm also from Queens, which means I know pizza. And on my new podcast, delivering happiness with Nick Toto, I deliver pizza from Prince Street Pizza to a new guest.
Starting point is 00:22:41 Are you delivering pizza now? Then we sit down for a real conversation. I've shared a slice with everyone from Seth Rollins. What are you doing, my belt? To Alex Rodriguez. Just to let you people know, we're talking to one of the goats here. To Bill Burr. I don't think I've ever met somebody so exactly out of their mind.
Starting point is 00:22:58 I am. And now we even have more great guests coming up, including the great John Tuturo. It's called Happiness, Delivering Happiness. Mariano Rivera. Oh my God. And many, many more. Open your free High Heart Radio app. Search Delivering Happiness with Nick Totoro.
Starting point is 00:23:14 And listen now. Oh, we got two video voicemail from our Discord. Let's take a listen to what they had to say. Unc, Ocho, Joe, what's good with y'all? We missed y'all, glad you're back. Ocho, I came to talk to you, dog. You see the jersey. Remember I came on here a couple months ago.
Starting point is 00:23:40 I talked to you about Shador Sanders being the guy for the Cleveland Browns and he's being the star and the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns and you told me money this and money that. Have you been seeing my dog lately? Have you seen the mean demonstration he'd been putting down the belt two ass he'd been putting down? Ocho, I'm coming here to say, dog. Shador Sanders won this quarterback battle. Man, come to Cleveland, dog.
Starting point is 00:23:59 Let's go to a game together. Come on, big dog. You know it's all love for you out. Come on, man. Come on a game, man. Let's turn up. Let's celebrate Shador getting a day. and Shador just throwing some dots out there and winning the game, man.
Starting point is 00:24:09 Come on, man. Y'all know what type of time I'm on a mean demonstration. Hey, listen, I love it. I love the enthusiasm. See, that same enthusiasm, Uncle Joe, that he just had, I got that same enthusiasm about Shadour as well. I always have. I've supported him since he was at Jackson State.
Starting point is 00:24:28 I supported him at Colorado, but I also understand how this business works. I understand that, and that's the part that people are failing to realize and just eliminating it in, general you're not having a quarterback making 40 million dollars a year sitting on the bench you're not he's going to be the starter and they're going to be a job to lose that's just the way it goes this the nature of this business in general you know hey listen i'm i'm with you all the way you know that's my boy i want i want him in there and i want him playing too you know but that just not how it's
Starting point is 00:24:57 gonna rock based on the way this business the way they you have to think like them the people that sit up high you know with the jacket with the suit and tie huh yeah they cut them checks It's different. They move different. They don't think the way me and you think. That's why they're in the position they end. Let's take a listen to the second one. What's going on, Nightcap.
Starting point is 00:25:19 Oncano, welcome back. And Iso Joe, you did your thing. You held it down and you did a phenomenal job filling in for Uncanojo. I don't think any of us at Nightcap expected anything different. So kudos to you, Iso Joe. My question for you guys is, which player or team gave you the most fits during your playing career. I hope y'all have a good one.
Starting point is 00:25:42 Keep putting out the amazing content. This podcast is fantastic. And yeah. The most fits? It would have to be somebody, Ocho, that you play, because, like, you play somebody once every three to four years. That really don't count.
Starting point is 00:25:59 It's going to need to be somebody in your division that you see at least twice a year. Sometimes you end up seeing them three times a year. Yeah. Well, I mean, honestly, I mean, when we speak about teams giving me fits, you would think it would be the Steelers or the Browns or the Ravens. But I kind of had my way with the Browns with no disrespect.
Starting point is 00:26:21 I kind of had my way with the Ravens, and I'm not saying this in a disrespectful way. If they were the team that gave me fits, it would probably be Ike Taylor and them damn Steelers. It would probably be Ike Taylor and the damn Steelers. But, hey, Reverend Ike, I don't know you at. Boy, I love you. Boy, I miss them battles.
Starting point is 00:26:35 I miss competing against you. But you want it the best ever, man. and I just want to give you your flowers, you know, why you can still smell them. I don't get to see as often as I should. But, boy, Ike, Ike Taylor was that boy, Joe, you know. He was that boy. He gave me hell, boy.
Starting point is 00:26:52 So if there's somebody that gave me fits, and I'm not talking about the defense was great in, you know, in its totality in general, but that goddamn Reverend I, boy, he would not. For me, Uncle Ocho, I'm going to have to say, you know, I'm, I'm, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, um, sending out of me being playing here in Atlanta when we should play against Detroit with Chansibilla Rip Hamilton Tashon Prince Rashid Wallace she
Starting point is 00:27:17 Wallace oh my god yeah oh good Joe the boy you to raise hell because for me at the two guard on okay Ocho I got a guard rip Hamilton he he he'll stop moving he running all night long it's hell chasing him all game he like he like He liked Steph Curry with it. But then on, on offense, when I got the ball, I got Tashon Prince guard me. Tashon got seven, three wingspan, he's six, nine. Yeah, man, it was too.
Starting point is 00:27:47 And they played great team defense. Yeah, and they were, they was a juggernaut, bro. They was a hell of a team. I ain't going to lie. I never look forward to playing the pissing. I'll probably say early Kansas City. Um, obviously I had some, you know, some big games against Kansas City. You know, I set the record against every people.
Starting point is 00:28:05 Like, well, how you set the record against them? That was not the Kansas City that I grew up with in the 90s. Them Kansas City teams were a lot different. At that point in time, the Kansas City team that was in the 2000, they had morphed into an offensive team. Oh, so, you know, they got Priests Holmes. They got Trent Green. You know, they're an offensive team.
Starting point is 00:28:26 Now, they're not predicated. D.T. had passed away. All the, you know, no more D.C., no more James Aitty. uh, uh, Kevin Ross and, and Albert Lewis and they had all retired, uh, KP, uh, Martin Bay, all those guys are gone. So this, this was a totally different team that I faced in the 2000 when I started having a lot, lot more success as opposed to the 90s, but I'll probably say Kansas City. Mm.
Starting point is 00:28:55 Uh, Jiu Jitsu 83, potato tomato, a whole NC round one by KO. Get the F out of here, bro. I guess there was a fight tonight. I guess. It was? on a Wednesday. Don't start me the line. He geeked about something.
Starting point is 00:29:12 Great show, fellas, but the tracker doesn't tell the whole story. Shador and Watson alternate one with the ones. Shador is with the ones tomorrow. Mm. What you're thinking? What you're thinking? Yeah, listen, you're right. I like the alternating chances for each quarterback, you know,
Starting point is 00:29:34 to allow them to be able to see what they could do. You know, we talk about the reps. Shadour not getting the reps with the ones last year. When they were playing the merry-go-round game, you know, with the quarterback situation last year. So now, you know, alternating the reps, you know, between Deshaun, you know, doing it one day, and Shadur doing it the following.
Starting point is 00:29:53 You know, it gives the quarterback coach, the head coach, and the people that's sitting upstairs looking down a better idea on what they want to do. And let's say even if Shadur does start, even if he doesn't, they still know, well, if we start Deshawn, we start Deshawn Watson, we know good and goddamn well. Based on what we've seen from Sjutor,
Starting point is 00:30:16 we're comfortable when it is his time to go in and play. Teague said when the Hawks cut Ivan, he still showed up to practice and nobody told him to leave. Ivan was that boy. He was hard-nosed player. When they cut Ivan Josser, he still showed up to practice. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:39 See, see, they had already true. traded me by then he still played there like a year or two after I left but I heard that same thing he he ain't and he was one of them okay Ocho yeah I mean wait hold on hold on they cut him and he showed him and he showed him look that man they ain't even think the man were gonna make the team the man got into it with Josh he him and Josh bought the fight he bought the fight stack house that man about to fight everybody on the damn team yeah he were good he was good he was good he was relentless Ocho You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:31:12 Like, it's like I might be undersized at the position that I'm playing, but my heart and how hard I play, man, y'all can't do nothing with this. You know what I mean? And that's what it was. Bro, it wasn't just practice, though. When he got in the game, that boy made plays, man. That boy made plays, man. Hey, that's funny, yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:36 They don't cut it in and he showed up to practice anyway. Now, they probably got key cards. Your key card won't work now. There you go. There you go. They cut it off. Hey, hey, you be, you beat. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:49 Yeah. I don't see that having before, too. Filthy McNasty 208081. If y'all double as a church, then I'm here to pay my tides. Keep preaching up there sweating like a pretext of middle. You don't have that revival.
Starting point is 00:32:07 Ain't like that tit revival with them big old industrial fans going, Joe. Owee. They don't know anything about that. 420 LAAFFC and not a fan Ocho. When are you guys coming down to watch LafC and your cousin Sonny? Thanks, guys. Hey, I'm glad you just asked me that question too, Unk.
Starting point is 00:32:28 But I'm coming to watch my cousin soon. And it's so dope. And, you know, Humeing's son, obviously, he played for Tottenham. He's down in LafC right now. South Korean player played for the national team, just left the World Cup. He said, it's a pleasure to meet you. And I see the tweets about us being cousins over the years.
Starting point is 00:32:52 And he said, anytime, anytime it would be an honor. You come to LASC, you come watch the game. So I'm definitely going to get down there probably before, before football season starts. Because one football season starts, I'm locked in. Everything is strictly football from that point on. So I definitely got to get down. out there man I can't wait we got some news to share in a couple of weeks well
Starting point is 00:33:18 probably next week good news good good okay all right as we're gonna share the news next week yes hold on what y'all ain't gonna tell me yeah we're gonna tell me well yeah I'll tell you okay okay hey let me know let me early so I can prepare now you know I got to be able to prepare I got to do my head real sports talk 8350 your nightcap and what point do you think Mendoza will start the season? Hold on, because they got, they got, uh, uh, First Cousins.
Starting point is 00:33:52 Her Cousins. Man. First Cousin knows this offense. He played this offense for a number of years in Washington. He played into Minnesota. So he has a substantial advantage. But what's your way going into the season? What's you waiting on if you're the Raiders, though?
Starting point is 00:34:08 I don't want to feed him to the wolves. You don't do it to him, Joe. No, Joe. They had the number one pick for a reason, Joe. They ain't they they turn it around that fast in just a year put that boy out there under that Senate don't do it to him. I guess I guess you I guess you're on figure Kirk cousin gonna go over there and he's gonna be a shining star or something.
Starting point is 00:34:31 No, but you you put Fernando Mendoza by that guy under that center to you to Mendoza is kind of like okay. Yeah, let him let him develop. We said we heard Tom Brady talk about that. They don't need these young players out there too early Without without no development Let him develop a little bit Let him learn behind Kurt Cutt
Starting point is 00:34:55 Let him learn behind the veteran for a little bit, baby Hey, nightcap Can they pay Aaron Donald top tier money With the salary cap or will he come back For veteran minimum? Aaron Donald's going to get about $30 million. He ain't come making no bed minimum. They can pay him that?
Starting point is 00:35:12 They're going to pay him that. And he's going to get, They still got his rights. Yeah. So he's picking that right when he left off. Yep. Hey, honestly, Joe, even with two years off, he still worked every dime. Thank God I'm back.
Starting point is 00:35:32 370. Who's a better story? Anthony Allen or 1987 Scab or Kurt Warner? Kurt Warner. Kurt. You do realize Kurt's in the Hall of Fame, right? He won the Super Bowl with the three Super Bowes. He was a two-time league MVP, a two-time Super Bowl MVP.
Starting point is 00:35:52 And before Tom Brady came along, he was the first quarterback for 400 yards of the Super Bowl. Kurt Warner. Brendan Crow, 3403, money is spent already. Watson is no more he's shown us the last four years. Brown's clearly moving in youth direction. Todd is coaching for his job. Damn, after one year, y'all pleading a man coaching for his job?
Starting point is 00:36:16 The man didn't even Had a season in yet He talked about he coached for a job Yeah Yeah Y'all know You're hired to get fired here Why does the second round pick
Starting point is 00:36:32 That wasn't expected to do much Won a ring, been to two Subbo's And one a Super Bowl MVP Has more to prove than all these quarterbacks Y'all hype every year And nothing is won nothing
Starting point is 00:36:44 At some point the media gonna run out of excuses for these these hype trains. Well, only one team good winning. He's talking about Jaila Hertz. Oh. You think they believe in Jaila Hertz?
Starting point is 00:37:08 Yeah, well, young bull ain't going to go away. No, I'm saying, look at the offense they run. Why don't let him throw it like the other quarterback let they throw the ball? Oh, but their offense isn't predicated on Jailant and throwing the ball. Why? Why not? I mean, that's based on the court.
Starting point is 00:37:25 That's the quarterbacking. That's the offense. No, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no. They got a great office in line that can protect the quarterback out of the ying yang. And you mean to tell me you got A.J. Brown, you got Devonte Smith. You got Mike. What's the quarterback day?
Starting point is 00:37:39 What's the tight end? They got a very good tight end. Dollars got her. Yeah, got her. Do they believe in it? They believe that if we minimize his opportunity to throw the football, we have a better chance to win it. That's why they got, that's why they went out there and signed say quant every agency. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:37:57 Look, that's not, see, when we tell you something, you're like, oh, but you don't want to hear what we got to say anyway. So I don't even know why you asked. Because if I, we, we, Ocho and I tell you, you're like, oh, but y'all don't say that by Justin Herbert. Y'all don't say that about this because they put the ball in those guys' hands that they don't ask them to run the ball, Sequequan to run the ball 300 times like they do with Jaila Hertz. They make Jail. If they let Jaylor, do I believe Jailerter to run the football? Yes.
Starting point is 00:38:27 is he has gifted a pure passer. And some of these other guys, no. But I don't think he has to be to get the job done. See, the question is, do you want to get the job done or do you want something aesthetically pleasing? See, some people go to like these fancy restaurants and they got, oh, the presentation is great.
Starting point is 00:38:44 The food tastes like bull's job, though. Right. I don't care nothing about no aesthetically pleasing. I want to win games. Yeah. They win games. Right. You might not like how they win the game,
Starting point is 00:38:56 but the objective is to win the game. Hello, you play to win the game. Yeah. Win the game. Her memory. But they got rid of, they got rid of, uh, AJ. There's a lot of pressure on him because now I think Smitty can be number one, but they got it. They got, they got Melanchai Lemon.
Starting point is 00:39:23 I think they got, I think they got guys that can step up and make plays. Yeah. Uh, Big Lane is back healthy. the offensive lines healthy they'll be back to being a dominant team again they were Nick last year Lane goes out you know the center was Nick Dickerson was Nick all year long
Starting point is 00:39:39 he limped into the season he limped out of the season those guys back running uh you guys going to talk about brawn Ocho was wrong we talked about LeBron on Monday yeah where you been all right his decision.
Starting point is 00:40:04 Unk gets his goat. Ocho gets a hyena and Iso gets a capuchin and y'all keep us updated on raising them. Well, first of all, I'm not bringing my goat around Ocho's hyena.
Starting point is 00:40:16 Second of all, I have a little, I have some experience with raising animals. That would don't. Me too. Hey, hold on. Hey, my hyena
Starting point is 00:40:30 going to be, he's going to be domesticated, He's going to eat meat. He's going to be a vegetarian. He's going to be vegan. Yeah, mine going to be a vegetarian. Oh, he'll be pescatarian? A pescatarian.
Starting point is 00:40:45 We eat fish and seafood. Seafood. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. Mine is going to be a peggatarian. Okay. That damn thing going to eat, oh, Joe, ass over there. Exactly. I got this, I got it.
Starting point is 00:41:05 And Iso, please pray for Brother Ocho if he gets a hyena pup. Man. Is KJ Gaming one, bro? Ain't no player. Ain't no prayer for this man. Gregory Grogan, 4877. What's up, nightcap? Has anyone been to New York?
Starting point is 00:41:27 I traveled to New York for the Cardinals and the Yankees, and we're looking for some good to eat. Any ideas? Absolutely, I have no idea. He knew. He neither, bro. be careful hey
Starting point is 00:41:39 it's a little Cuban you probably might might not like the restaurant I choose little Cuban spot little Cuban spot I enjoy
Starting point is 00:41:47 Oh you like Cuban sandwiches Now not sandwiches I always get I always get Chidoscoteau steak white rice Uh Maduro sweet plans with it I like the Cuban sandwich
Starting point is 00:41:58 without a latte Hey hey Hey tell him Tell him go to Tau Oh 58 Oh Tau What's it called?
Starting point is 00:42:07 Tile and 58th between Park and Madison. You know what? I don't like to say in the sound of that. No, that's good. It's, it's Asian, like Asian fair. They got skewed, yeah. I used to go there all the time.
Starting point is 00:42:20 Me and my, me and my girl, she works in NFL, Tracy Perlman. Man, we used to be all over. We went to the town. We go to Del Frisco's, Peter Lugar, Sparks,
Starting point is 00:42:28 Ben Benson, King. You name of a steakhouse? I'd have been to it. Hey, hey, hey, hey, that Peter Luga jumping ain't on. Peter Luga like that. Oh, yeah. I used to stay in Peter Luga, boy.
Starting point is 00:42:39 Yeah. Yeah. Peter Luga night. The way they cook them steak. Oh. Y'all name it all this stuff. Oh, man. Everything costs money.
Starting point is 00:42:49 Yeah, yeah. Yeah, but I mean, that's about steakhouse. Yeah, I'm down for a good steakhouse. But you know what? I've opened my palate. I've broadened my horizon. What? You enhance your taste buds?
Starting point is 00:43:02 I did. MCK got me, but I got to go back there, though. One more time before we, before we, before we, Before we go somewhere else, Joe, we got to go there one more time. Yeah. Yeah. See, he doing the dead glare,
Starting point is 00:43:18 the Cowboys Stadium for the Sun. Jerry said, hey, he might consider tending because you know at certain times of the day that sun comes in and sometimes it gets into their eyes. Jerry said he could because if I'm not mistaken, I think they pulled a curtain when the World Cup was there, Ocho. So it could be a situation where he could pull the curtain or he said he might tint it. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:43:42 Hold on. The curtain. The curtain blocked the sun. Yes. Man, y'all know, I can't remember what year it was. It had to be like 2009 where the NBA All-Star game was played in Jerry's World. I can't remember what I can't remember when it was. And the son got you?
Starting point is 00:44:02 No, man, it was a hell of an experience though, Uncle Ojo. Oh, who was it? Oh, my God. Ooh. They cut up. Man, it's just a hell of a time, Ocho. You know, this one, the stadium had just, it probably hadn't been up no more than about a year or two, for real.
Starting point is 00:44:20 You know what I mean? Okay. And to see that big, that big scoreboard that he had come. Man, it was a nice little vibe. It snowed the whole entire All-Star weekend in Dallas that year. You know what it was. That might have been, hold on. that might have been 2011.
Starting point is 00:44:39 It may have been. It may have been. Because that's when they had the storm because the Super Bowl is snowed during the Super Bowl. Yeah, I'm talking about it snow hard the whole All-Star weekend, bro. Because if I'm not mistaken, it's in the All-Star weekend after the Super Bowl, right?
Starting point is 00:44:54 Yeah, yeah, because it's in February. Yeah. Behind every night spent making the kids' lunches, there's a lot of suspense. Will they finally eat the veggies? Will the pastos survive the first bite? Will the lunchbox come home empty, half full, or come home at all? And will you finish episode 8 before you're done slicing the cucumbers?

Starting point is 00:49:57 Jimmy Hills 5. May I get a prayer from Nightcap. Was playing basketball two months ago and destroying my knee. Doing so finally got the MRI done toward my ACL, but just because LCL. Any tips on high recovery, how to recover quick?
Starting point is 00:50:14 Bro, ain't no recovery quick from that. Brough, you tell your ACL, your meniscus, just one of those alone is you're talking about six months. That's just alone. Hell, how old is it? Because he could be talking about longer than that. Yeah. Jim Hill, bro.
Starting point is 00:50:41 Damn. Father God, one of our listeners need you now. You need you to put your hands on and put your arms around him and let him know everything's going to be okay. It seems dark right now, but sunshine follows rain. It's been dark, but the light will shine again. Bro, just stay prayed up.
Starting point is 00:51:05 Yeah. Bro, that's a, that's a, bro, that's, that's, and you know what it deals on Joe and Joe? Is that when a regular person has an injury like this, unless you got millions and millions of dollars, you get rehab twice a week. Yeah. When we get an injury like this here, we go five days a week. Yeah, yeah. Sometimes twice a day.
Starting point is 00:51:24 That's why they say, but man, high athletes, yes, yes, we are, you know, we trained our bodies and we have more muscle mass and the way we eat and the way we train. But the treatment that we receive is so different than the normal treating that a normal civilian would get. So, hey, so you better be paying attention when you go to rehab, all right? Pay attention to what they got you doing early
Starting point is 00:51:50 and what you can do at home on your own. because them, them little two days after week, they ain't, man, they ain't doing nothing. They ain't doing, damn, man. That's what got me, Joe. Hey, I paid attention everything they do. I wrote it down. They're like, dang, you don't got so much stronger.
Starting point is 00:52:06 Oh, my goodness. Because you got to realize, Joe, I had surgery. I had surgery that I had surgery on a Saturday. That Thursday, they had me lunging. Yeah. And squatting. Yeah. on a repaired hip.
Starting point is 00:52:23 Yeah. They don't play. But I went to YouTube and I saw some of the things and you told me what to do. I googled and said, what should I be doing? They say, do hip,
Starting point is 00:52:32 you know, put one leg down and try to raise your leg up and do it. I was doing all that stuff before I got there. I was sitting up, you know, trying to raise my leg. I was doing all that stuff. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:41 Try to get those muscles to back firing because, you know, obviously they had atrophy. Somewhat. But oh, yeah. My brother, I'm sorry. I don't like to be the bearer no bad news, but you got a long recovery ahead of you.
Starting point is 00:52:53 Yes, sir. Do you think Aaron Hernandez could have been better than Grunk? I was watching edited earlier on TikTok. That boy had some wiggle. He absolutely did. Grom was, man, grunt was just so damn big and just so hard to get down. Once he got the ball in his hands, good luck getting his big ass on the ground. But Aaron Hernandez, he could have been special.
Starting point is 00:53:19 Aaron Hernandez, bro, the way he could rob. you up the way you could toss him the ball and put him in the back field hand in the ball pinch him the ball hey what do you could do with the ball oh cho cho oh cho this kid was special he was nice boy um Antonio d'artrey can we give my little brother coach Pia a sister Olaas at Savannah State a shout-out them a success and wish them a successful season Yo big bro, love you. Appreciate you.
Starting point is 00:53:53 Yes, sir. Coach P. Congratulations, man. Hey, we need a good season at the Seattle State, man. Don't, don't disappoint us now. We expect big things. I'll be watching.
Starting point is 00:54:01 I'll be watching. Little bro, letting you know that he's really proud of what you've been able to do so. And as an alum, I'm really proud. My son, Greasen sprains his ankle a lot. Any tips for strengthening his ankle? And what are some of the tips for recovery? He's a receiver and a quarterback.
Starting point is 00:54:20 Sometimes I feel like it's the shoes. You got to get them little bands. You got to get that little band put around your foot and do them and do them side ankle joints this way, flex it this way. You got to keep them ankle strong, bro.
