Starting point is 00:02:52 slash football terms for eligibility and deposit restrictions, terms, and responsible gaming resources. Hello, ladies and gentlemen. We're a live nightcap. I'm your favorite uncle, Shannon Sharp. He's your favorite number 85, one of the greatest route runners in NFL history. Chad, Ocho, Cinco, Johnson. We're all live, Ocho.
Starting point is 00:03:21 We back in biz. We back in biz, bro. I love it. We got to work on that introduction, man. We got to work on that introduction, man. We got to work on that introduction. You need to get the introduction right. Nope. Nope.
Starting point is 00:03:35 Ocho Cinco, Chad Johnson, the greatest, the greatest route runner of all time. One of the few. Come on, man. We got to do something about that. Okay. We're going to work on it. We're going to work on it. Well, if you go out there and not run a better route than Devontae Adams, right now, I'll give you that title.
Starting point is 00:03:46 All right. You say age ain't nothing but a number. It ain't nothing but a number. It ain't nothing but a number. It's not. Okay. Because it ain't 32 teams I can't make right now at 55 years old. Guarantee you that.
Starting point is 00:03:59 Bet that. 32 NIA teams. Not the NFL teams. The Raiders beat the Packers 17-13. Jordan Love throws a game-sealing pick in the end zone with 45 seconds left in the ballgame. He finishes 16-30, 182 yards, zero touchdowns, three picks. This game was very, very winnable for the Packers.
Starting point is 00:04:22 Jordan Love played bad tonight. There's no way around it. He cost his team tonight. He did. It was a defensive game. It was a defensive game. And if you watch the first half, the first half, you might have dozed off a little bit.
Starting point is 00:04:35 You might have dozed off in the first half a little bit. They didn't hit. Jordan Love didn't have a deep ball, a deep pass completion until the third quarter about seven minutes ago to Christian Watson. I think it might have been a blown coverage. He hit Christian Watson down the sideline. And the game itself didn't get exciting until, what, the last two minutes, if you want to be honest? If you want to be honest, it was almost a snooze fest. And I was upset. I'm going to get back to the game in a minute. I was upset. I thought about the matchup between Devontae Adams and Jair Alexander. That's
Starting point is 00:05:03 all I was worried about. I put the tweet up. I put the popcorn. And this is going to be worth the price of admission. What did they do to Devontae Adams the entire game? They bracketed him. They bracketed him whether he was on the inside or whether he was on the outside. I was really excited to see the matchup
Starting point is 00:05:17 between Jair Alexander, Rasul Douglas, and Devontae Adams. And I didn't get that because Jacoby Myers went slap ass off. Myers went slap ass off. He went slap ass off. And that's what you need. Yeah, go ahead. Go ahead. I said you got to have somebody to pick up the slack.
Starting point is 00:05:35 If they're going to say, you know what, the Packers said Devontae Adams is not going to win or beat us tonight. And that's exactly what they did. And Jacoby Myers stepped up and played a hell of a goddamn game. And that's what you have to have. You have to have a guy on the opposite side that when they take the number one away, when the defense say, you know what?
Starting point is 00:05:53 We refuse to let 17. We don't believe anybody else can beat us. We know 17 because he has a resume that says he's one of the, he's one of the best in the game and has an opportunity to be one of the best in NFL history. So we know what he's capable of. Jacoby Myers, if you can beat us, oh, well, we walk to the center of the field at the end of the game
Starting point is 00:06:12 and we tip our hat to you. The thing that I like about, I think one of the greatest things that I learned about, liked about Tom Brady and watching him over 20 years, he understood early on what type of game it was going to be. If it was going to be an offensive game, he's like, I need to be on my
Starting point is 00:06:28 best behavior. I need to make sure I'm throwing A. I got A. I got to stay nip and tuck right there with Peyton Manning, right there with Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger, whoever the case may be. Excuse me. Patrick Mahomes or whoever the case may be. But if it was a defensive battle, he also understood that. I can't take unnecessary
Starting point is 00:06:43 risk. I can't put my defense on short fields. I can't make their job tougher than what it needs to be. Jordan Love, I think, as he matures in this league, he'll understand early on what type of game this is going to be. And points are going to be at a premium. And the last thing you need to do is to put your defense on short fields. Yeah, most definitely. And the fact
Starting point is 00:07:05 of the matter is coming to this game the Raiders only had one interception in four games since the season started hell they had three tonight and because it was a defensive game Jordan Love has to understand and know I have to protect the ball I gotta protect the ball because it's hard for us to score we're getting in it we're getting we're getting close to the red zone, but the Raiders' defense was a bend-but-don't-break type of defense tonight. And the opportunities that you do get just facilitate the ball and whatever the Raiders allow you to have, then if you've got to dink and knock the whole night, then so be it. Dylan had a decent game moving the ball up and down the field and you know take
Starting point is 00:07:46 what they give you but then some of the deep shots letting some of the balls go not reading the defense staring down staring down your receiver yeah that second interception i don't know what he was looking at because had spleen not picked it hey it looked like cross i think that was crossing behind it anybody was gonna pick it or at least knock it down so i don't know what he was looking at because like you said he was staring the receiver down the entire way. So Spleen just followed his eyes. But he's going to have to understand is that the type of ball game that he's in, the last thing because points are at a premium, nobody's really moving the ball.
Starting point is 00:08:19 The last thing that I want to do is set my defense up on a short field because the Raiders offense was struggling to move the ball also. So you just don't want to give them short field position because at worst case scenario, they walk on the field, kick a field goal. And now you've gifted him three points. Jimmy G was 22 or 31 to a one touchdown, one bad interception. But the one thing about Jimmy G is that he like they took Devante away early. But when they got in that red zone, they started working him.
Starting point is 00:08:48 Yeah, most definitely. I'm just trying to figure out why you walked to Sam Backer. Why would you put Smith in that situation? Why would you do that? Listen, I don't know what they were doing, but I'm glad they did. I don't know what they were doing,
Starting point is 00:09:03 but I'm glad they did. At some point in that game, I was angry. I was sitting there angry that the fact that the Raiders are allowing the Packers to dictate whether he can get the ball or not. So we going through a whole game. We went to, we almost got to the third quarter. I'm like, wait a minute, man, he got one catch at the half. So you allowing another team to dictate what we're allowed to do
Starting point is 00:09:26 or what we're going to do offensively. Sometimes you got to be the aggressor. I don't like that. Even though Jacoby was able to get off, John Jacob was able to do what he did and trying to keep the chain moving. And Jacoby Myers obviously had a hell of a game. But come on, offensively,
Starting point is 00:09:41 we can't allow a team to take away our number one threat. You can't do that. You can't. Let me tell you why I'm going to disagree. If I got a Patrick Mahomes, if I got a Tom Brady, a Peyton Manning, one of those elite-level quarterbacks, what is Jimmy G known to do? Turn the ball over. So you really want Jimmy G forcing the ball in bracket coverage?
Starting point is 00:09:59 I mean, not forcing the ball, but we just—wait a minute. Because here's the thing. There's film on somebody by the name of Puka Nakua. Puka Nakua? Did I say it the right way? Sorry for butchering your name, brother. I know you're going to see this. I love you anyway. But do you see what they do with him as a rookie?
Starting point is 00:10:17 Yeah. As a rookie being able to come. This is the copycat league. What do we do? Copy what they're doing with some of the stuff that the Rams are doing and implement it into your offense for Devontae Adams because he can do the same goddamn shit. Unless you come in with a big name, they're not respecting Puka Nakua.
Starting point is 00:10:36 That's just, I'm sorry, Ochoa. Now he's having an outstanding season. And he had 39 catches for over 500 yards in his first four games. But he's not coming in with the with the cache of say a Randy Moss. Right. And so they're not going to pay him the kind of attention that they pay a Devante Adams. So now we got Devante.
Starting point is 00:10:56 I'm not letting Devante get off. Okay. I'm going to Jimmy G. The last thing I want Jimmy G is forcing anything. Right. Take the swing, take the check down, take the wide open. But when you
Starting point is 00:11:07 because he's turnover, you already know he's turnover. They call him Jimmy Gag for a reason. Don't do that. His name is Pornstar Jimmy. I never heard Jimmy Gag. That's a new one. Pornstar Jimmy. So the Raiders get a much needed win. The Packers, man, they're going to be kicking themselves because this game
Starting point is 00:11:24 was very, very winnable for them. Jordan Love's going to have to understand the type of game that he's in. It might be a game that he needs to throw for 300 yards and three or four touchdowns. But this wasn't the night. This wasn't the night that he needed to dress up. He needed to bring work boots, a hard hat. This was the type of game this was going to be.
Starting point is 00:11:44 Not an up-and-down, a race car type a hard hat. This was the type of game. This was going to be not a, a, a, a, a, a, a up and down a race car type of ball game. But I think this is the first season starting what third or fourth year in the league. So that's going to come with time. And I think the coach will get him in there. He'll say, look, son, these type of games happen, but you need to understand earlier what type of game that we're going to be
Starting point is 00:12:02 in and play and play a football accordingly. And this is, this is a funny thing about it. Jordan Love is having a good year. He's not having a bad year. He's not having a down year, but the fact that the shoes that he has to feel he's playing exceptionally well to this point outside of tonight. I mean, outside of tonight and in a few other games and a few other mistakes that he's made, obviously it's his first time starting. And once you know,
Starting point is 00:12:22 once you get your feet wet and you get your gears grinding, mistakes and nights like this you will learn from when you watch film and you won't make them later on in the future. Yes. Going back, Michael called out George Kittle for wearing the F Dallas T-shirt. Said Kittle's shirt made the game way more personal. He also said the 49ers will laugh, not cry later. He also said, I don't think the 49ers are at a higher level than us.
Starting point is 00:12:52 I think we're the same caliber playoff team, same talent, same standards. I just feel like we need to reconsider and fix some things. The score doesn't really show what happened out there. Yeah, it does. Yeah, it does. The score doesn't really show what happened out there. Yeah, it does. Yeah, it does.
Starting point is 00:13:06 Ocho, I don't know. Maybe because I don't watch TV with the sound when I'm watching sporting events. Right, right. So maybe, but was he at the game? It was 42-0. Yeah, he was there. He was there, but that's how he feel about his team. I like it too. For one, listen, Makai.
Starting point is 00:13:21 Can you lie to yourself? Micah, Makai, Makai. I be butchering everybody name micah micah listen but he's not lying to himself because he feels that team is that caliber especially defensively they just didn't show up that night they just didn't show you have nights like that you know that right nice like this i wish with that rain drops yeah i had the same conversation with Ray Lewis and Rod Woodson early in the 2000 season.
Starting point is 00:13:47 I said, you do realize they don't take defenses to the Super Bowl. They take teams. So it don't matter how good you are. So he keeps saying, oh, I'm good. We're good. We're good. But you can't go anywhere without that offense. Did he see that they didn't get scooping scores?
Starting point is 00:14:02 They didn't get pick sixes. They didn't run a punt back. They dropped 42 on y'all. Yeah. Can I ask you a question? Yes. Can I ask you a question? I'm raising my hand.
Starting point is 00:14:11 So do you think that Cowboys offense, with all the weapons that they had, Brandon Cook, CeeDee Lamb, Tony Pollard, do you think they're going to continue to play like that offensively throughout the rest of the year? I'm just curious. You know things are going to turn around. At some point, that offense is going to be hitting on all cylinders,
Starting point is 00:14:29 and then the tides are going to turn, and then you're going to have to praise them at some point. You do know that, right? It's not going to stay like this. It's only week five. It's only week five. Okay, week five. So I'm going to take week five of the 2023 season.
Starting point is 00:14:41 Yes, sir. What about the seven-year history we got of Dak Prescott leading this Cowboys offense? Wait a minute. Is that a large enough sample size? Hold on. Last time I checked, every time the Cowboys have played the last time
Starting point is 00:14:52 with Dak Prescott at the helm, they've been in the playoffs. So that's what that... Every last... I mean, we... And what happens? And what happens? You're basing everything
Starting point is 00:15:01 off the past. The fact that you have a chance, the fact that the Cowboys are always in contention each and every year, that's step one. Are they really in contention? Yeah, they're in contention. If you're making the playoffs, you're three games away from the Super Bowl.
Starting point is 00:15:13 No, you're not. You're three games away from the Super Bowl. Hell, I'm 5,000 miles from China. I ain't trying to walk there. Wait a minute. Wait, stay with me now because there are 32 teams, right? There are 32 teams in the NFL. Yes.
Starting point is 00:15:28 There are certain teams that have hopes of being in a position to actually even have an opportunity to play in the playoffs, but they know good and goddamn well they ain't going to be there. At least the Cowboys can go into every season knowing with Dak at the helm, okay, we going to be in playoff contention. Let's fix what we need to fix to make sure we can get past the goddamn first round. The Cowboys are the team that dresses up,
Starting point is 00:15:53 put on their Sunday, put on their, you know, they dress to the nines. They got on their ninth designer and they go out and don't get one number. The Cowboys do this every year. You already know how it's going to end. They're going to make the playoffs and they lose it in the first round.
Starting point is 00:16:08 When was the last time? You know, Ocho, I mean, I'm trying to think last time in 96. The last time they went into the championship game was 95. So they went to the Super Bowl and won in January of 96. How old were you in 95? Me? 95.
Starting point is 00:16:25 14, 15? No, no, no. I was 25. I was 26. Think about that. Yeah. That's crazy. Think about that.
Starting point is 00:16:33 That's crazy. Yeah, exactly. But again, obviously the brand itself, America's team, Jerry Jones, I mean, at some point,
Starting point is 00:16:40 the ties are going to turn for the Cowboys. When? Will it be this season? So, is the star good or is it just the rating? I'm trying to figure out. You can't tell the brand.
Starting point is 00:16:52 Forget the brand. The product on the field is good. The product on the field is good. It hasn't been great. No, listen to me, Nat. The product is good. Dak Prescott, stay with me. I want you to do me a favor.
Starting point is 00:17:09 I want you to compare Dak Prescott's stats to Patrick Mahomes so far this season. And watch how identical they are. I know you got somebody right there in front of you. I know you. I know you. Ocho, Ocho, Ocho, let me stop you. I know good damn well you just didn't compare Dak Prescott to Patrick Marleau. No, no, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:17:29 I'm not comparing them as quarterbacks. Listen to me. I said statistically to this point, the quarter poll in the season, where we are right now, let's do a side-by-side comparison of the stats so you can see how close they are in comparison to where we are right now at the quarter poll in week five. That's i'm saying i'm not trying to listen i'm and i'm being respectful to everybody i'm just saying compare them where they are right now i know i i know i know what you're gonna say i know what you want to say but just just stay with me a little bit
Starting point is 00:17:57 do the comparison statistically bro i mean for you i mean you do you understand you i mean you don't like criticizing players but i'm criticizing i'm criticizing do you understand how disrespectful you are to patrick mahomes but i just said talking about stats patrick mahomes is four and one patrick mahomes a two-time league mvp a two-time super bowl mvp two five thousand yard season and you said you know what you just said you say say, compare Dak's stats. Whoa, whoa, whoa. I'm talking about this season. You talk about what Patrick Mahomes did in the past.
Starting point is 00:18:29 I'm not worried about the past. We focus on the now. The only season you should be compared is paprika, pepper, salt, basil, all that other stuff Patrick Mahomes and Dak Prescott do not blame. They don't even belong in the same book. I don't like when you do that. I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't like when you do that.
Starting point is 00:18:46 I don't like, cause that's really that. Now what you just did is disrespectful. Listen, Dak Prescott is, is you, you know, you have your tier one quarterbacks,
Starting point is 00:18:55 right? The quarterbacks come in tiers, right? You got your Patrick Mahomes, your Joe Burrows, your Jalen Hurts, your Lamar Jackson's, your Josh Allen's.
Starting point is 00:19:04 Like what you're not finna do is you're not going to sit here and tell me that Dak Prescott is not in that tier. Let me ask you a question. Would you take Dak Prescott over Trevor Lawrence? You talking about me personally? I'm asking. Are you asking me personally? Your name's Ocho.
Starting point is 00:19:18 Yeah, I'm not. Your name's Ocho. Would you take Dak Prescott over Trevor Lawrence right now? If I said you got one quarterback to go start a game with tomorrow, you get Trevor Lawrence or Dak Prescott, which one you take it? It don't matter. Either one. Either one.
Starting point is 00:19:31 It don't matter. Give me either one. It don't matter. You get a quarterback. Pick one. Stop this waffling. You ain't Switzerland. Pick one.
Starting point is 00:19:38 I'm going with Dak. I'm going with Dak. You got your damn mind. I'm going with Dak. Justin Herbert or Dak Prescott? I'm going with Dak. Okay, Justin Herbert or Dak Prescott? I'm going with Dak again. I'm going with Dak again. I'm just saying.
Starting point is 00:19:53 What you just saying? What you just saying? Can I ask you a question? Can I ask you a question? With all due respect to Justin Herbert and Trevor Lawrence, what do they do that much goddamn better than Dak Prescott? What do they do that much goddamn better than Dak Prescott? What do they do that much goddamn better than Dak Prescott? Let's be real.
Starting point is 00:20:10 Throw touchdowns, not interceptions. So if, hold on. Everybody throw interceptions. What are we doing? Do you realize Dak led the league in interceptions after missing five games? That was last year. We still talk about last year.
Starting point is 00:20:22 How many interceptions he had yesterday? Oh, he had three, but he had one up until that point. They were in a situation he was forced to throw the ball. That is why that happened. Hold on. I want you to say, you said he was in a situation he was forced to throw the ball, right? Forced to throw the ball because of the score, yes. Because of the score.
Starting point is 00:20:41 So, in other words, when he wasn't up 40 to nothing or 38 to 3 or 27 to nothing yes sir he couldn't put the he couldn't hurt the cowboy think about what you just said it's it we listen we we have to understand situational football understand situational football and understand the position that they were in at the time where you're forced to throw the ball and all the goddamn the great probably the best defense outside of the goddamn Philadelphia Eagles all they had to do was have a goddamn umbrella and play shell and it's easy to pick the ball off based on the predicament that the Cowboys were in let me ask you a question they weren't playing shell to start the game who played shell to start the game okay who opens the game up playing shell coverage okay you right you right you right so now again now i got see you talk about this year let's go this year
Starting point is 00:21:30 i've got a seven year sample size right now it's seven years long enough because normally in medical studies they do studies like this they study diseases right for the length of time that prescott's been in the league and they can give you some really good data. And what does the data show you about Dak Prescott? Okay. You know, you know what the data shows you? The data shows you also that Dak Prescott gives you a better chance than everybody else out there that is available because there's a reason that
Starting point is 00:22:01 they're available and Dak Prescott is in the position that he's in. There's a reason that Dak Prescott got his goddamn money from Jerry Jones for a reason. There's a reason because he gives them their best chance to win. Things aren't going the way they should right now. Right now. Hold on. We only in week five.
Starting point is 00:22:19 We can't, we can't, we can't hit the panic button just yet. Compared to, first of all, and you said something that was factually incorrect, Patrick Mahomes has 10 touchdowns. Dak Prescott has five.
Starting point is 00:22:31 Okay. 10 to five, so two to one in the same amount of game. So you want to rephrase what you said earlier? I'll give you an opportunity. No, I don't want to rephrase anything. I just meant the totality of all statistics that come with the quarterback in general. But we don't need to get into that right now.
Starting point is 00:22:47 We don't need to get into that. We just put a poll up because we're doing live on YouTube. And they said, who would you rather have, Justin Herbert or Dak Prescott? Right now, Justin Herbert is winning 90% of the votes. Dak got 10. Wait, huh? They what? You sure?
Starting point is 00:23:03 We put a poll up live. We can put it. You want Trevor Lawrence? Can we put another poll up to put Trevor Lawrence? No, no, no, no, no, no. Didn't them people play football? Them people that's polling, did they play football? Tell you what, I don't play football.
Starting point is 00:23:17 Who? Who don't play? Who don't play? I'm just telling you for me. For me. Everybody has an opinion. Everybody has an opinion. Everybody has an opinion. You know, some people go Trevor Lawrence.
Starting point is 00:23:28 Some people go Dak. I'm not going to let you hide behind. Let me ask you a question. I'm not hiding. Okay. I take 32 general managers. Yeah. And I give them a pick.
Starting point is 00:23:37 You get Dak Prescott or Trevor Lawrence. How many GMs taking Dak Prescott over Trevor Lawrence? Now, we need the people to make decisions. We don't know. We don't know how we know. That's a hypothetical question. That's what you do. Because when they ask you to pick the game,
Starting point is 00:23:53 you pick it hypothetically because you don't know. You do realize that's why you're here. So you think all 32 GMs going to go with Trevor Lawrence over Dak? I didn't say all 32. Okay. But I bet you Trevor Lawrence get Dak? I didn't say all 32. Okay, okay. But I bet you Trevor Lawrence get more votes than Dak Prescott. Based off what?
Starting point is 00:24:11 Based off what? I'm just asking. Based off what? What are we basing it off of? What are we basing it off of? Stop it, Ocho. Hey, listen. I'm saying Dak Prescott's resume is better than Trevor Lawrence.
Starting point is 00:24:22 So how the hell everybody picking how he leapfrogging over Dak already? What are we doing? Trevor better than Trevor Lawrence. So how the hell everybody picking how he leapfrogging over Dak already? What are we doing? Trevor Lawrence. Trevor Lawrence. Trevor Lawrence is in year three. You know that, right? And Trevor Lawrence went down 27-0 in a playoff game and walked somebody. Do you realize Trevor Lawrence is getting more bowls than Dak?
Starting point is 00:24:41 He had 91%. Okay. You know what? Something wrong with your meter. Some, some wrong with your grading scale. Some, some wrong with your grading system over there.
Starting point is 00:24:50 Some wrong with your grading system. Because you know what? People see better than they hear. See, my, my grandpa used to tell me and my brother, he'd tell us to take the trash out. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:00 But when he come back home, guess where the trash was still in the corner. He said, now y'all told me y'all was going to take the trash out. I see better than I hear because I see the trash. But I heard what y'all say. I hear what you say, but I see what these votes are telling me. Right. 91 percent of the vote. You know, you know what? You know what I think? You know, I think we're we're we're people are swayed and swindled because of the media
Starting point is 00:25:25 and the love for the Cowboys and the attention that they get as a team, I think they're happy when things aren't going well. So when we do small things like this, just very small things, like a simple voting on who people would rather, a Trevor Lawrence or a Dak Prescott, they automatically just go with the opposing player because they just sick of anything Cowboys related. I bet you Jerry Jones would take Trevor Lawrence or Justin Herbert right now over Dak Prescott.
Starting point is 00:25:57 I bet you. And I bet some. Bet some. I bet you he would. Bet some because I know you know Jerry, and I know he answered the question because he liked the attention, and he liked the show. No, no, no. He ain't going to answer that question because he...
Starting point is 00:26:11 Yeah. He ain't going to answer that question, nor should he. But you know. See, some things... I do know. Some things you don't even ask because you already know the answer. Never that. Never that. Never that. My grandma always said, a question that's not asked, it have you looking like a fool.
Starting point is 00:26:35 No. Yeah. Some things you don't even have to ask. All right. You don't have to ask if it's water wet. That's how you feel. Are you asking if it's water wet? Are you asking if fire hot? Are you asking is fire hot?
Starting point is 00:26:48 Yeah, fire is hot. Okay, so you don't even have to ask, do you? No. Okay. I'm going to say it. Now, hold on. But I'm looking. What when something, listen, I can see if the 49ers won on a walk
Starting point is 00:27:04 off field goal. I can see if they put a last-minute drive. How can you say you close to someone that stomps you out, that beats you 42-10? Oh, you're talking about what Micah said. What Micah said. Yeah. He has to feel that way. What is he supposed to say?
Starting point is 00:27:19 And obviously the disrespect, well, I don't want to say disrespect because I'm all for the engagement and the fun. Also, that's what it took. It took a shirt. Now, they kicked your ass out of the playoff the last two years. Now, they did that. It should have been personal. Right, right, right. Hold on. Did you see
Starting point is 00:27:36 Greenlaw haul it up off his feet and dump him on his head? That wasn't personal to you. But George Kidd hauling up his shirt saying, F the Cowboys. Now you teed off. That's what got you, man? Listen, we have to understand the landscape
Starting point is 00:27:52 of what the Cowboys had to deal with. Arguably the best. The best statistically and the product on the field. Offensively and defensively. I thought the Cowboys statistically was the best. Their defense is good. Though their defense is good now. Come on now. Don't do that. I thought the Cowboys statistically was the best. Their defense is good. Their defense is good now.
Starting point is 00:28:06 Come on now. Don't do that. I couldn't tell. I couldn't tell. Sometimes you get games like that. You got some games your quarterback can throw for 400, 500 yards. You got some games you throw for 180, 200. They just happen to be one of those games.
Starting point is 00:28:19 Remember I just told you I see better than I hear? Now I hear what you're telling me about that defense, but what did you see? Yeah, I saw they didn't have a good game. I saw that. Based on the juggernaut they had to go against, the juggernaut of Debo Samuels, the juggernaut of Brandon Ayoub, the juggernaut of Brock Purdy that lives with a roommate.
Starting point is 00:28:40 Hold on. You just told me the Cowboys were a juggernaut. You named them. Dak Prescott, Tony Paula, C.D. Lamb. Wait, whoa. The Cowboys have been a juggernaut defensively outside of two mishap games. The Arizona Cardinals and the one against the 49ers.
Starting point is 00:28:57 Are we taking that away from them? Are the Cowboys a team or are they just a defense? Because I'm confused right now. Because all you keep talking about the defense. What is their identity? Every team has their identity. Where's the Cowboys identity? When are you going to mention their offense?
Starting point is 00:29:13 That's not their identity right now. Their identity is defensively. You just told me. You just told me. You mentioned Dak. You mentioned Pollard. You mentioned CeeDee Lamb. You mentioned Brandon Cook.
Starting point is 00:29:23 You mentioned Gallup. You mentioned all those guys. Now all of a sudden, you ain't mentioned none of them. You're talking about the defense. And the defense just got 42 dropped on them. I know, and I was trying to explain to you, game to game, listen, game to game, things are going, it's going to change.
Starting point is 00:29:38 This is one, both sides of the ball was flat. The offensive defense was flat. Can I ask you a question? Yes, sir. How young is your youngest child? One. Okay. What's the next age after that?
Starting point is 00:29:52 13. Okay. I want you to explain it to me like I'm 13. The cowboy situation. So your 13-year-old, he or she comes and sits down to you. And they ask you a question. I want you to explain the Dallas Cowboys in that situation, that demolition job that they got put on them last night.
Starting point is 00:30:08 Explain it to me as if I'm 13. Well, if you're 13 years old and you're my son, I'm going to tell you, son... They got their ass kicked. Now move on. Go outside and play with your friends. I ain't going to curse, but just like that. Just like that. That's a good
Starting point is 00:30:24 one. But listen, the funny thing, you ain't, hey, Shannon, you know the NFL. You understand how it works. One week, you look horrible. One week, you look horrible. And next week, man, they're going to be flying colors and looking like America's team. That's just the way the game works.
Starting point is 00:30:43 They play the Jets. They play the Patriots. They play the Patriots. They play the Commanders, somebody like that. They have an in-up offense. Sure they will. But what happens when they play someone that has a comparable offense, that has a comparable play caller? What have we seen?
Starting point is 00:30:56 Yeah, you're right. All right, you're right. I can't argue with that. Most of the 49ers rosters have played in three of the four, the three of the last four NFC title games. Something to get Cowboys. Half the Cowboys were, it was in elementary school.
Starting point is 00:31:12 The last time they played or junior high at the latest, the last time they was in the NFC title game. Cause I'm trying to think the oldest player on that roster might be Tyron Smith. Tyron Smith is probably 34. So I'm So at 95, he probably was about 11 years old.
Starting point is 00:31:32 That's crazy. Do you realize the last time they played an NFC title game, Tony Pollard wasn't even born? But the last NFC title game was what, 96 or 95? It was the 95 season, but you know it rolled over yeah hold on let's just say it rolled into 96 and tony pollard still wasn't born
Starting point is 00:31:55 hey so you ain't gonna you ain't gonna get a cowboy no type of grace huh no no type of grace So you ain't going to get a Cowboy, no type of grace, huh? No type of grace? No type of leniency, no nothing. CeeDee Lamb wasn't even born. So you keep on talking about what the Cowboys see. You basing on the Cowboys fans are living in the past. You say, well, you got to come to this year.
Starting point is 00:32:24 I'm coming to this year. Yeah. The Cowboys. See, it was Jerry. Hold on. The Cowboys 3 are living in the past. You say, well, you ought to come to this year. I'm coming to this year. Yeah. The Cowboys. See, it was Jerry. Hold on. The Cowboys 3-2, right? Cowboys 3-2, right? Cowboys above 500, right? Yes.
Starting point is 00:32:36 Okay, ain't no need to hit no panic button. Ain't no need to hit no panic. CD Lamb was born in 99. That man was born in 99. That's crazy, man. We getting old. Yeah, we're crazy. But we getting old, man.
Starting point is 00:32:50 The Cowboys been living on 95 and beyond. They've been living on the triplets for a long time. The triplets are old men. The triplets are granddads. Michael, a granddad. Hell, Emmitt might be a granddad for all I know. I ain't talk to him in a minute. Troy might be.
Starting point is 00:33:05 That's crazy. Like, whenitt might be a granddad for all I know. I ain't talk to him in a minute. Troy might be. That's crazy. Like, when you put the numbers behind it, when people were born that are playing now, like, we getting old, man. Nah. Some teams have a standard. The Chiefs, the standard is division, AFC title, Super Bowl.
Starting point is 00:33:22 The 49ers, division, NFC title, Super Bowl. The Cowboys, division, NFC title, Super Bowl. The Cowboys, we got the most views. We got the most rabid fans. Oh, we love, we sell more T-shirts and paraphernalia than anybody. That's all standard. Jerry, all Jerry cares about, look at the brand.
Starting point is 00:33:38 You even mentioned the brand. What about the brand? It is. It is the strongest brand of all 32 teams. It just is. It's the way it is. I'm sure Jerry wanted to win some titles too. No, he don't. He wants to win his way. He wants to win his way.
Starting point is 00:33:54 That's why he has fucking coaches. His way worked before, didn't it? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Oh, with Jimmy? Why he got you? See, the difference is see, he wasn't able to swallow his pride. And do you realize, the last time they won a Super Bowl,
Starting point is 00:34:09 Michael Irvin was 28 years of age. Emmitt Smith was 26. Troy Aikman was 28. They were in their absolute prime. And Jerry ruined it because of his ego. You see what ego do? You see what that'll do to you? Think about it.
Starting point is 00:34:22 They had a young Larry Allen. Larry Allen might have been, might be the greatest offensive lineman ever. He was probably 24. Real deal. 25. And Jerry Eagle. And they had prime.
Starting point is 00:34:36 Huh? You think Eagle got in the way or that just the nature of the business? Or the nature of the beast in this business? Jerry got upset with jimmy because he couldn't get credit because it was jimmy that was doing everything right and jerry wanted some of the credit and see that's what happened so jimmy jimmy i mean not jimmy jerry jones is getting in his own way bait the cowboy success mr crown mr crown said hey i don't care y'all ain't got to give me none i'll'll sign the checks. But I tell you what, guess what? I ain't got one, not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, six.
Starting point is 00:35:11 I got six of these things. Okay, I see what you're saying. Think about it. Yeah, you're right. You're right. You know, I never thought about it like that, though. I never thought about it like that. Sometimes I tell people all the time, they're like, well,
Starting point is 00:35:22 my grandmother basically raised me. She got on a train and came and got me at three months. My daddy came back and got me at seven months. And I was with my grandmother for two years, since I was two years of age. And people are like, well, you know, your mom. I was like, no. I said, because sometimes the best decisions don't involve you. My mama could have felt some type of way.
Starting point is 00:35:41 Talking about them, you know what kids. I gave birth to them. No, they come with me. She said, nah, my kids would be better situated instead of being on the South side of Chicago and rural South Georgia. But Jerry couldn't see past that. He would rather blow it up and get credit as opposed to sit back, keep his mouth shut and keep winning those titles. But Hey,
Starting point is 00:36:02 that's neither here nor there because young Emmitt, young Troy, young Mike Irvin, and that team ain't walking through that door again. Right. You're right. You know what you got to do now? Did you see the 49ers? Make the most of what you got. Make the most of what you got.
Starting point is 00:36:20 Look here. Jerry is releasing injury reports. Who's going to play? He's talking to the team man can you imagine I couldn't even imagine and I look Mr. B I only had two owners
Starting point is 00:36:30 Mr. B and Art Modell right I couldn't imagine Mr. B addressing us before Mike talking to us I can't even imagine Mr. B talking to us before we go out
Starting point is 00:36:38 wait I have a question is that a bad thing having an owner that's that truly involved in the team where most owners just upstairs and that's as far that's as far involved in the team where most owners just upstairs and that's as far as it goes.
Starting point is 00:36:48 Is Jerry looking at film? Is Jerry watching film? Is Jerry at practice? No. They're telling Jerry what's going on. Stop it, Ocho. Oh, no. I don't know. I don't know. I never played for the Cowboys. I just look. I'm from the outside looking in like you. You
Starting point is 00:37:03 a little bit more, you know more on the inside as opposed to what's going on I know owners ain't watching no game film yeah okay I got you I got you he's getting told what Mike McCarthy and he goes all that then regurgitates it and then everybody man you see Jerry man Jerry ain't watching not one tape Jerry ain't watching not scouted one college player, one free agent. He gets the report written up, and that's fine. I got no problem with that. But this notion that Jerry's doing all this, no, Jerry ain't crazy. Listen, honestly, I didn't know because he
Starting point is 00:37:33 speaks so much on the team and his involvement and what's going on. I really thought he was really day-to-day, really in the trenches like that. I ain't know'm just being honest. He ain't watching. Did you see the,
Starting point is 00:37:47 uh, the 49er fam proposed to the cowboy fan? Nah. Wait, wait, wait, wait, who proposed?
Starting point is 00:37:54 Did she say yes? She did say yes. She said, yeah. Well, that's going to be, that's going to be a crazy household, man.
Starting point is 00:38:00 But no, it's, it's not as crazy as you think. It's not like anagles fan or a cowboy fan proposing to somebody in the other you know that's a division so i'm thinking like okay a 49 a a a a cowboy proposing to an eagle or a washington football team proposing to a cowboy or a giant proposing to an eagle now i'm like now now, or an Alabama proposing to an Auburn. Now I'm going to say,
Starting point is 00:38:27 man, that's going to be a mess. Yeah. That's going to be a messed up house there. Cause I don't know. I mean, Ocho, could you,
Starting point is 00:38:34 could you date or marry someone when the rival is as intense as that? Because you know, they stand on their side. You stand on your side. Yeah, definitely. I definitely could. Cause you got to remember that's only six months out the year. Football season is only six months out the year. as that because you know they stand on their side you stand on your side yeah definitely i definitely could because you got to remember that's only six months out the year football season is only six months out the year so am i able to compartmentalize and and remember and
Starting point is 00:38:53 think i am marrying this woman in front of the man upstairs for goodness and in health i forgot the words of the thing but for them them three hours, when that game is on, man, I don't even see you. We in this. No, she better not bring it up. God, the man upstairs know she better not bring it up if my whole team beat mine. That's what the man upstairs know that because he know how I'm wired.
Starting point is 00:39:16 I ain't going to even lie. You going to be upset? If somebody don't like Go James, we can't be together. Man, we can't be together. Go James, who? LeBron! While we all love watching our favorite teams on television,

Starting point is 00:43:35 Man, LeBron. No, for real. Listen, listen. I can tell the way you look. You can't shoot no hoop. Man, listen. I wouldn't lie to you. That's why I took my glasses off.
Starting point is 00:43:45 I want you to see my eyes. Like, I'm really like that on the court. On the court, I'm really like that. I beat LeBron 21-17. Have you ever heard the song, Lying Eyes? Nah. Nah, but man, listen, you know me. I know you heard the term lazy.
Starting point is 00:43:57 Man, trust me. I lied for you before I lied to you, man. You lying to me, too. I'm not, man. I beat him 21-17 for $1,000. Like, I'm like that on the court. And he didn't know that until we played. He was like, God damn, Ocho, you quick as hell.
Starting point is 00:44:11 I caught him off the dribble and he fell. Like, yeah, I'm like that. I just chose not to play basketball. I like soccer. You played the sport you was supposed to play. You wasn't going to be able to play any other sport. Ooh. I'm a hooper first.
Starting point is 00:44:24 I'm a soccer player, then I'm a hooper.. Would you, I'm a, I'm a soccer player. Then I'm a Hooper. Listen, first of all, you didn't see a sock. You never saw a soccer ball until you got to college. You were born in Liberty city. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:44:33 I know. I know. I, I never said I did, but I'm just saying, listen, I got another one. And I ain't,
Starting point is 00:44:38 I ain't trying to, you know, I ain't trying to name drop none. Ask Carmelo, ask D Wade and ask Westbrook what I did to him. When we played one-on-one, when they was prepping for the season. They came to me to get ready for the season.
Starting point is 00:44:49 What? On NBA 2K? No, I'm talking about real life. Working on transition, working on footwork, man. They came to me. Man, I used to do them boys in, man. I could come off the bench for the Heat right now. Sixth man of the year. Right now.
Starting point is 00:45:04 No games. I'm like that, man. You just think because I'm old. Age ain't nothing but a number, man. It's what's in you. And your number is old. That's your number, old. All right.
Starting point is 00:45:13 Let it go, Ocho. We all got shelf lives. We all got shelf lives. And mine different than everybody else's. No, it ain't. No, it ain't. Something is going on in New England because a guy that used to never make excuses, Coach Belichick, blamed the rookie kicker struggles on the new video board.
Starting point is 00:45:31 And I'm trying to figure out because here's where his argument is flawed. Right. Because he never kicked without the video board. So all he knows is the video board. Right. To say the wind has changed the trajectory in the stadium, well, that's all he knows. Now, if that was Vinatieri or that was Gostkowski, if that was Nick Folk, you would have a legitimate argument
Starting point is 00:45:52 because they kicked before the video board was up. Right. But since he has no history, no prehistory with kicking
Starting point is 00:46:01 without the video board, how is that an argument? Wait, can you help me? Give me a little bit more context and understanding. How is a video board. How is that an argument? Wait, can you help me? Give me, give me a little bit more context and understanding how is it video board affecting the kicks in any way? He said, because the stadium, it used to be, there was no board. And so the win, the kickers took into effect, took into account the, the win, but this kicker is a rookie.
Starting point is 00:46:21 He never kicked without the video board. So what is he taking into account? Oh, okay. I see what you're saying. I see what you're saying. He's struggling. I think he's made, I think he's missed four of his eight field goal attempts. And so he's struggling.
Starting point is 00:46:34 And so when you have the longevity that you have with Ben Terry, who's one of the two, one of the two best, I think Tuck, he and Tuck are right there neck and neck. He's just had more opportunities in bigger moments. Right, right, right, right. The Tuck rule game,
Starting point is 00:46:50 he kicked the game, you know, the game time field goal and the game winner. In the Super Bowl, he's walked off two Super Bowls. Clutch. But, yes. So, with that being said, I'm just trying to figure out what kind of adjustment is he making?
Starting point is 00:47:05 The kicker needs to make when he never kicked in the old stadium without the board. You know, that's funny that you do say that. I'm sure, obviously, in New England, that wind is gusty at times, especially this time of year. Actually, from this time of year all the way up until January, it's going to be windy. So what does a kicker need to do? What does he need to do and adjustments that he needs to make as a kicker myself you do know i can't kick so i can i can make a testament to this with a bull jive that's what you can kick i want you to go outside tomorrow when you go outside to get in your car i want you to take your shoe off and the first rock you see i want you to kick it. With your big toe.
Starting point is 00:47:45 Why you, are you really, so you don't know nothing about my resume? You don't know I was a backup? I know your resume. So you know I was a backup kicker for Cincinnati for 11 years, right? You do know that, right? If I kicked it, I got hurt, I was a backup? Good thing he never got hurt. So you don't act like you ain't seen me kick a field goal in the game
Starting point is 00:48:02 and kick off when he pulled his groin? I can kick off. Who can kick off? Everybody kicked off in high school. Let me state this one more time. So you've never seen me kick in a game, and we won the game based on one of the field goals I kicked, one of the extra points. No. You didn't see that?
Starting point is 00:48:19 No, no, no. I saw that in the preseason. So, wait. What? Preseason? Regular season? What does that matter? It's still in the game. It's in the gameseason. So, wait. What preseason? Regular season? What does that matter? It's still in the game.
Starting point is 00:48:27 It's in the game, right? Really, Ocho? It's in the game. Are we doing that? But let me tell you what the kicker needs to do. What he needs to do is understand the wind. Understand the trajectory and which is coming off that scoreboard. Because it's going to always be the same no matter what.
Starting point is 00:48:41 When you're kicking that way, facing the scoreboard, all you got to do is adjust your steps adjust your steps your alignment take your finger do like this put in the air understand where it's coming from and make the proper adjustments that's necessary and always kick away from the wind three to five inches when you kick and it will always veer back to the middle. Boom. Problem solved. Over Joe, why would he take advice from you? Would you take advice from him if he tell you how to run a dig?
Starting point is 00:49:13 Why wouldn't he? Okay, go ahead. If he was telling you how to run a speed out or a bang eight, would you take advice from him? I listen to him, but can I finish? Let me tell you something. Why wouldn't he take advice from him? I listen to him, but can I finish? Let me tell you something. Why wouldn't he take advice from me? Because I
Starting point is 00:49:29 was a kicker in the NFL and I'm perfect. I'm perfect. I had perfect execution. I was Justin Tucker before Justin Tucker. I was Robbie Gold before Robbie Gold. Lead me on.
Starting point is 00:49:45 Let me stand. No. I am tired. I'm taking advice from people that did this or coached this for a living. I did it for a living. I did it for a living. I did it in a precious situation and I was clutch. Don't take that away from me.
Starting point is 00:50:03 Don't take that precious moment away from me. That meant a lot. That meant a lot to me. You drove a car with was clutch. Don't take that away from me. Don't take that precious moment away from me. That meant a lot. That meant a lot to me. You drove a car with a clutch. So you had a manual. So you had a manual car. Okay, okay. So did you grind the clutch?
Starting point is 00:50:17 I mean, do you know how to drive a stick? Listen, it might not be important to you, but the fact that my number was called to come out and kick a field goal to win a game, whether it was preseason or not, it could have been, it could have been maddened. I don't care.
Starting point is 00:50:30 I was clutch and I'm one for one in life. What does that make me? A goat. How much, how much longer, uh, is this situation with coach Belichick and Mr. Craft going to go on?
Starting point is 00:50:46 Whoa, whoa, whoa. Because you remember we talked about this last night. Right. Pro sports aren't like college sports. Coach K had a lifetime contract. He could have went on and on. They were never going to get rid of Coach K. Coach Smith in North Carolina.
Starting point is 00:50:59 Pat Summitt. They had lifetime contracts. Pro sports doesn't work like that. Wait, so you don't think Bill Belichick has a lifetime contract based on what he's done for that organization? No, no, no coach has ever had that. Whoa, whoa. Ain't no coach ever done what Belichick has done, ever. Now, what we need to do is talk about the elephant in the room. What is it that Belichick needs to continue that reign of success
Starting point is 00:51:29 that he had with Tom Brady? Stop drafting players. Stop drafting players. Wait, he's been drafting beautifully all these years, so all of a sudden now he's the problem. All you need, this is the NFL, right? You understand, you know the NFL. Yeah, not for long, right? When you look at the landscape of all the top teams in the NFL, right? You understand, you know the NFL. Yeah, not for long, right?
Starting point is 00:51:46 When you look at the landscape of all the top teams in the NFL right now, they all have a great what? A great what? What do the Eagles have? What do the Chiefs have? What do the Cowboys have? Quarterbacks. The Jaguars. Exactly. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:52:02 Guess who's picking the quarterbacks? Guess who's picking the roster? Who? Who picked the roster? Who? Who picked the roster? Who picked Matt Jones? Who picked Tom Brady? Who picked those receivers? I'm just saying, who picked Tom Brady, though?
Starting point is 00:52:13 Oh, Allah. Who picked Tom Brady? Have you looked at Coach Belichick's record without Tom Brady? Yeah, but again, this is the difficulty. This is the difficulty with people. The casual fans don't understand on how hard it is they find a quality quarterback. Who knew Tom Brady would turn into the greatest of all time? You never know.
Starting point is 00:52:34 You never know. Because if Coach Belichick thought he was going to be that, they'd have drafted him in the first round, now wouldn't they? They wouldn't have waited until the sixth round. Now, but see, here's the thing with Tom Brady allowed Coach Bel coach Belichick for all those Bethel Johnsons that was a miss all those Chad Jacksons that was a miss all of those Kimbrell Tompkins that was a miss Brady erased that all those running backs that were a miss Brady erased that all those DBs that were a miss Brady erased that yes he hit with a Richard Seymour and a Vince Woolfolk and a
Starting point is 00:53:05 Gronk. But look at all those misses that he got in free agency. Remember now, he drafted two tight ends and ended up cutting them and going out and signing two in free agency. Hold on. What was that receiver that he took number one that ended up going to Chicago? What was his name?
Starting point is 00:53:23 Wait, recently? Yeah, Nakia Harry. Nakia Harry? Wait, recently? Yeah, Nakia Harry. Nakia Harry. Okay, okay, okay. Brady. Look what Brady did. Brady got no production, but still went to the playoffs.
Starting point is 00:53:36 It's tough, though. It's tough. It gives people a perspective on how important the quarterback position is and how hard it is to succeed and actually compete week to week without a quarterback. And finding a really good one is very, very difficult. Hold on. But you told me.
Starting point is 00:53:53 What? If I go back and search my memory and I'm going back to my data, I'm... Oh, Ocho told me playing quarterback is harder than playing quarterback. Playing DB is much more difficult, is a much quarterback is harder than playing quarterback. Playing DB is much more difficult, is a much more difficult position than playing quarterback.
Starting point is 00:54:10 It is. I mean, everybody knows that. I mean, I'm telling you as a former DB myself, that was for the play receiver. So let me ask you a question. How many teams have won the Super Bowl because of a DB? How many teams? Oh, I can tell you.
Starting point is 00:54:24 I can tell you how many teams with a great DB on the opposing side shutting down half the field made it very easy for their defense to be able to function and operate and be able to do more because of how great a DB was. Prime, Darrell Rivas,
Starting point is 00:54:39 Asante Samuels. Hold on. You do, hold on. I don't know if you noticed, but did you look at the quarterback that Time was winning Super Bowls with? One was a first ballot Hall of Famer, Steve Young, who was a two-time league MVP. And the other was Troy Eggman,
Starting point is 00:54:54 who was a Super Bowl MVP. He had a first ballot Hall of Famer and the all-time rushing leader, Emmitt Smith. He also had Michael Irvin. He also had Jerry Rice. He also had, and that's not to take away Prime, because I saw Prime.
Starting point is 00:55:07 Prime was a year older than me, so I saw Prime. I know what he is. Yeah. But that quarterback position. Right. That's why it's the most difficult, it's the most important position in sports. Okay, I like that.
Starting point is 00:55:19 There's no other position like it. I like what you just said. I like the way you changed the narrative, though. Did you hear the word? You hear the key word you said? The most important. It's the most important position. It's the most difficult to play. No. Most important. The most difficult to play
Starting point is 00:55:31 is defensive back. I'm telling you, we can get into a debate. We can sit here and argue that. How many guys in high school and college have moved from quarterback to play DB? Now, how many guys have moved from DB to play quarterback?
Starting point is 00:55:48 Well, at what level? At what level are you talking? Because you're not doing it. You're not doing it at the highest level. That's impossible. Why? If you that dude, you should be able to do it. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Come on. See, come on now. Come on now. You told
Starting point is 00:56:03 me it's not. You said DB is harder. So you should be able to transition from DB to go to quarterback. Do you understand? Do you see how difficult it is to find a decent quarterback to play? Because if quarterback was so easy to play, all 32 teams would be in contention for the playoffs every single year. If that's the case. Everybody would have $250 million contracts if that's the case.
Starting point is 00:56:22 So is it harder to find a DB or quarterback? It's hard to find a DB. Again, let's talk about the quality DBs in the NFL. It ain't that many of them. Huh? It's hard. How many quality quarterbacks are there? It ain't that many of them either. So
Starting point is 00:56:39 they're in the same boat. Listen to me. Shannon, come on, man. You know this. How many DBs are there Do you understand? Listen to me. Shannon, come on, man. You know this. How many DBs are in the NFL? Listen to me. How many DBs do we have in the NFL right now? A defensive coordinator can say, you know what? I need you to take care of him so I can be extravagant with my defensive play calls and do whatever else I want to do on the field.
Starting point is 00:57:01 How many DBs we got like that? Okay. Four? Maybe five? Hold on? Okay. Four? Maybe five? Hold on. Okay. What DB you say, I want you to take Tyreek, or I want you to take Devontae, or I want you to take Justin Jefferson, or I want you to take Jabbar Chase, and I want you to lock
Starting point is 00:57:15 him down. How many DBs you got doing that one-on-one? You got them all over the field. Wait a minute. When you say lockdown, now we can't lockdown in this era because the game is handicapped based on what DBs can do. Now, come on now. Whoa, whoa. You're coming up with all these excuses.
Starting point is 00:57:30 It's not an excuse. The rules have changed. The rules have changed. That makes the position of DB even that much more difficult. That's why it's the hardest to play. I'm trying to tell you. Ocho, ain't nobody saying DB is harder to play than quarterback, bro. Bro, you not listening, man.
Starting point is 00:57:47 You got to listen to me. You out of touch because you ain't played in 30 years. I'm only five years removed from the game, so I have a better understanding on what's more difficult to play. It's not, Ocho. Okay. So I tell you what, since it's more difficult to play. How about make a poll?
Starting point is 00:58:03 Make a poll and ask NFL players that's playing right now what's the most difficult what's more difficult to play quarterback or quarterback so I'll tell you what who's the best corner in the league right now I mean
Starting point is 00:58:19 Jair, Jalen Ramsey, Lattimore AJ Terrell we got Darius Slay I can keep going I'll take Patrick Mahomes Jair, Jalen Ramsey, Lattimore, AJ Terrell, we got Darius Slay. I can keep going. I'll take Patrick Mahomes. What? I'll take Pat Mahomes.
Starting point is 00:58:38 Okay, I'll take Joe Burrow. Okay, I'll take Justin Herbert. Okay, I'll take Trevor Lawrence. And so I just named those top five I just named, and I'm going to put them on the number one receiver. And then we're going to see what happens. And I'm going to light you, and I'll take Patrick. And with those guys, my receiver is going to have 300 yards.
Starting point is 00:58:58 Okay. Boy, did you just hear who I named? Did you just hear who I named? Okay. Jalen Ramsey, Darius Slade, Jair Alexander Slade Jair Alexander AJ Terrell Marshawn Lattimore my dude Tredavious White man get healthy um okay wait let me keep going wait let me think I'm
Starting point is 00:59:13 thinking of man to man I'm talking about man to man get it off the muscle in your face what you want to do we going to work we going to get busy I ain't just talking about no plan no zone I ain't talking about plan, no zone or plan in your mouth, in your grill. They like that.
Starting point is 00:59:29 And for the people at home, Ocho kicked the PAT with 155 remaining in the second quarter. It was not the winner game. It's not clutch. Hold on, can I ask you a question? Yeah, you can ask whatever you want. Listen, you heard what you just said? Did anybody score after that?
Starting point is 00:59:45 Did the Patriots score after that? Right now, quarterback 52%. Okay. Now, you just put, you know, these people, you can tell people ain't playing football. You do realize we're live. You do realize we're live, Ocho. They don't know what they talking about, man.
Starting point is 00:59:59 These people don't know what they talking about, bro. Like, I played the game. They don't know what they talking about, bro. They don't know what they talking about., bro. Like, I played the game. They don't know what they're talking about, bro. They don't know what they're talking about. You got, man. You do, Ella. You do realize that live work, right? If we live right now, I know we have a comment.
Starting point is 01:00:14 We have a chat. I know Darius, Jalen, one of y'all boys got to be watching me. Y'all got to back me on this because people won't understand until y'all vouch for me, man. Y'all got to vouch for me, man. I know they don't see this. So, okay. how about this here? California will ban the sale of Skittles in 2027. They'll ban food for products that contain red dye 3.
Starting point is 01:00:36 Red dye 3 is found in Skittles, Pez, hot tamales, and double bubble bubble gum. Oh, you remember double bubble? I do. Oh, double remember double bubble? I do. Oh, double bubble used to be the thing. What? So what's your favorite candy? What?
Starting point is 01:00:51 My favorite candy? Growing up. Listen to me. Y'all had the candy lady house where you from? I was in the country, but no, I know what you're talking about. Yeah. We had the candy lady house, man. I used to get a dollar.
Starting point is 01:01:01 Get a dollar from my grandma. I get a dollar to go to the candy ladder house, get some baked beans. You know about baked beans? I know about baked beans. Yeah, lemon heads. You know about lemon heads? I know about lemon heads. Listen, I get a pickle egg. You probably don't know what pickle egg is, huh? Double egg, yeah, but okay. They put it in their vinegar.
Starting point is 01:01:17 Yeah, in hot sauces with the fruit pump, with the jungle juice. But lemon head, jar breakers, and baked beans. That's my go-to. With the little pixie sticks. Remember the little pixie sticks off the ice cream truck? Man, stop playing, boy. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:34 Stop playing. Boy, you go back memories. I do. Actually, my favorite candy bar is not... You can't find them very often. It's called a zero bar it's blue and silver blue and silver wrapper
Starting point is 01:01:48 zero bar was my favorite candy bar I ain't never heard of that I know I'm from the country they're nice like that but I mean they're going to have people you know what you know how bad it's getting in California they're going to have people smuggling Skittles and hot tamales
Starting point is 01:02:04 like it's marijuana in california they're gonna have people smuggling skittles and hot tamales yeah like it's marijuana yeah or some juice some illegal drug i have i have a i have a question if it's so bad the red dye and whatever whatever uh ingredients are in it that that are that are harmful and for us to consume why are they waiting to ban it till 2027 so they want everybody it's okay for everybody to keep on munching on this. I know Marshawn Lynch is going to be mad fucking with his skills. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:02:29 But here's the thing. We know what's in tobacco products and nicotine and they ain't banned them yet. Yeah. I remember when I was a kid, I remember when cigarettes were 50 cents a pack.
Starting point is 01:02:41 And you know what everybody said? If they go to a dollar, I'm going to stop tomorrow. Cigarettes damn near $7 a pack and And you know what everybody's saying? If they go to a dollar, I'm going to stop tomorrow. Cigarette's damn near $7 a pack and they're still smoking. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, listen, there's an angle. I got my mama to stop cold turkey.
Starting point is 01:02:53 I bet my mom, I bet my mom 25,000 she couldn't stop smoking. She say, she say, you going to give me 25,000? She said, baby, I just bought two packs.
Starting point is 01:03:02 I just bought two cartons yesterday. Let me finish these and I'm going to get that money. My mama stopped cold turkey. For real? My mom been smoking since she was 13. My grandma's sister, my aunt, anime, used to give my mama cigarettes.
Starting point is 01:03:19 My mom and my uncle third nail. Cigarette. Don't y'all tell y'all mama because she know, granny was going to raise, you know what? Right, right, right. Raise hair. Yeah. But my mama stopped cold turkey.
Starting point is 01:03:31 That's dope. That's dope. At 25 grand, my mama said, I want cash too, baby. So she won? Yeah. My mom was born in 43.
Starting point is 01:03:40 She's been smoking since. So she started smoking in 56. And in 2001, my mama quit just like that. That's dope. That's dope. That's live. My mama quit just like that. So what food that
Starting point is 01:03:55 if they ban, you be like, man, they all messing up. Like for real? Like a food? Yeah. Boy, cheeseburgers, boy. Yeah, you banning cheeseburgers, but you gonna have to see by me. What's your favorite cheeseburger?
Starting point is 01:04:12 From McDonald's. Number one extra cheese with no onions. Coke with no ice. Or depending on how I'm feeling, if I'm on a date, like if I'm with my old lady, then I get the number seven because I get the number seven
Starting point is 01:04:23 and they give you two cheeseburgers. So, boom, she get one, I get one. Then, you know, you got your fries. You get your nutter coke. And you get two straws, so you ain't got to buy extra soda. Yeah. I mean, if I were to get something from McDonald's, I'm more of a McNugget guy. I remember when I was in college, I had a, she would be a captain of the cheerleading squad.
Starting point is 01:04:43 And she and I was really cool. And I would go there. She was the manager. What kind of, what kind of cool? No, no, no, no, no, no. I was, I dated a homegirl. I dated a homegirl. I dated a homegirl.
Starting point is 01:04:54 Well, you know, that don't mean nothing. That don't mean nothing. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Friends and sisters off limits for the little kid. No, no, no, no, no. Okay. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 01:05:03 Okay. Okay. I'm just checking. I ain't dipping and dapping and that ain't happening. So with that being said, so I would go get, I would eat two Big Macs,
Starting point is 01:05:11 a 20-piece nugget, super-sized fry, and a large drink and two apple pies. I could eat that every Friday. Yeah. How big, how big,
Starting point is 01:05:23 what you about, what, 300 back then? No, nah, probably like two this was my junior senior it's a lot 220 225 yeah yeah but i had the same weight that's crazy i can eat back then yeah okay okay but see but you were like if i go to like if i go to like south beverly grill if you're out here in la you'll know what I'm talking about. South Beverly Grill or Hillstones, somewhere like that, I'll just get a burger plain with just ketchup, medium, and fries. That's it.
Starting point is 01:05:51 I don't want no cheese. I don't get no cheese on it, no. Nope. Just burger plain, medium, fries, and ginger ale. Ginger ale? Yeah, that's what I'll be drinking. Ginger ale is a remedy for when we, ginger ale is a remedy for when we sick.
Starting point is 01:06:08 You're not supposed to eat that with no meal. What you doing? Boy, go get some of that ginger ale. You can't, you can't. Oh, man. We be drinking, and we drink my grandma's ginger ale. Boy, don't y'all drink all my ginger ale.
Starting point is 01:06:22 What I'm about to have to drink with my stomach hurt. Oh, no. Yeah. But no, I'm my ginger ale what I'm about to have to drink with my stomach hurt oh no but no I'm very simple when it comes to my palate I don't like to get I don't like spicy I don't eat all that stuff my palate is very very simple yeah
Starting point is 01:06:38 I've always been the same way right now I mean I've always been the same way quarterbacks winning Ocho. I just want you to know, quarterback's winning. 500 votes so far. What's the percentage?
Starting point is 01:06:49 What's the percentage? 54-46, quarterback to DB. See, you understand, you see how close that is? You see how close that is? I don't think people understand the difficulty. I know the difficulty
Starting point is 01:07:01 of playing a position of quarterback. I understand how important that quarterback position is, but you'd have to understand how difficult it is also to play defensive back, especially in today's game. It's the most difficult, is what I'm
Starting point is 01:07:16 trying to tell you. But think about it, Ocho. It's DB and then quarterback is right underneath. Think about it. I gotta hit a moving target, moving away from me, while dodging T.J. Watt, Michael Parsons, or Bosa. Now, I got to hit this moving target as he's moving away, and he's covered.
Starting point is 01:07:37 And I got this much of separation, and I got to fit that ball in there. And I got to do it, Ocho. And I got to do it with 30 seconds and we down three. Yeah. Let me give you one worse. Let me give you one worse. It's third and two.
Starting point is 01:07:52 Coach just call zero blitz. Yeah. It's man to man. Oh, I'm off at seven yards trying to read three step. I'm a full shade inside. I got Tyreek Hill in front of me. I got Devante Adams in front.
Starting point is 01:08:04 I got Keenan Allen in front of me. I got Devontae Adams in front of me. I got Keenan Allen in front of me. I got Mike Evans in front of me. The whole world watching at the snap of the ball. Oh, I'm playing man to man. What I got to do? What's happening? That situation is much more worse than what you
Starting point is 01:08:20 just said. Because I got somebody coming off the ball. Got some dogs. I don't know which way they're going. They running full speed at me. Well, I'm not going to let him cross my face. First and foremost, I'm not going to have to let him have an easy throw. And so I'm going to make him throw the ball.
Starting point is 01:08:32 I'm going to make him throw the ball over my head. Yeah. There is different. Yeah. Closure hasn't closure. Hasn't put yourself in that scenario. Right. Retiree kill third and two.
Starting point is 01:08:43 They didn't call cover zero, zero blitz. You man to man. Stop playing. So in other words, when they call zero blitz, that means they're bringing more defenders than we have blockers, right? And the ball coming out. And the ball coming out. What you gonna do? And what I gotta do. So I gotta make
Starting point is 01:08:57 sure I throw this. I gotta drop this ball in the bucket on a guy that's running 20 plus miles an hour that's gonna be 40 yards down the field. And I to drop it in his arms. Yeah. Yeah. What about a DB? What about a DB that got to deal with that?
Starting point is 01:09:17 Ocho, I'm not saying that a DB job isn't hard. It's the hardness is what I'm trying to get you to understand. No. It's the process. He has a process he has to go through just as well as a quarterback. Let me ask you a question. You think the DB know what that
Starting point is 01:09:31 under tackle doing? No. He doesn't. Patrick Mahomes got to know what everybody's doing. He got to know what the line, are they going rip for Liz? Are they going to molly it? Or also, I got to know what all five receivers are going to do. And plus, by the way, I got to know what that defense is. Are they in to molly it? Or also, I got to know what all five receivers are going to do. What routes?
Starting point is 01:09:45 And plus, by the way, I got to know what that defense is. Are they in cover five? Are they in cover six? Are they kicking it? Are they in quarters? Are they in three shell? Whoa, wait a minute. So, hold on.
Starting point is 01:09:55 I dropped me a pad. My earbud. Hold on. You got one here. Let's talk about DBs. You breaking the huddle. Boom. We're marking the defense based on what Chidi lined up,
Starting point is 01:10:07 or what Devontae Adams lined up, what Keenan Allen lined up. You're playing single high? Or what Stephon Diggs lined up. Check, check, check, check, check. What formation we got? Are they in bunch? Are they in three-by-one, two-by-two, double tight? Wait a minute.
Starting point is 01:10:22 What are we playing? Are we playing quarters? Are we playing three? Are we playing quarters? Are we playing three? Are we playing one? Are we playing six? It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. What coverage are we playing? See, you're trying to complicate and convolute it.
Starting point is 01:10:37 You're complicating it for the quarterback, too. That's what he has to do. We got to do the same thing. Ocho, all I need to know, what are we playing? Are we playing single high? Are we playing quarters? Are we playing cover six?
Starting point is 01:10:55 Are we playing 22 man, which is cover five? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no 55, no two man. No, we ain't no help. We on the island by ourself. Okay. Man to man, in your face. Let's get the work. Normally when they stack it like that, you try to get out of that and you probably play an area because guys don't disperse. Yeah, you got it. Because you don't want guys get confused and bumping into each other.
Starting point is 01:11:18 Right, right. So with that being said, I'm still going to say quarterback is the toughest. Okay. But I will say DB is the second toughest position to play. Okay. All right. I will concede that. We can agree to disagree on that one. Okay. But see, you know, your boy, you know, I was a safety.
Starting point is 01:11:34 You know, you're back in the day. Safety what? Safety what? Safety pin? Safety. Safety pin to hold your pants together? Or your shirt? Whatever. You know, they call your boy graveyard. Because when I left the field, there were bodies everywhere.
Starting point is 01:11:48 You better start playing with me, Joe. You better start playing with me, Ocho. My Graveyard, get it done. You better start playing with me. Man,
Starting point is 01:11:57 you wouldn't hit a soul. You wouldn't, you wouldn't, man, you wouldn't hit a soul. Stop playing. Come on, man. Ocho.
Starting point is 01:12:04 Listen, I mean no disrespect. I was a linebacker, D-end, whatever you need, tight end. Ocho, you better stop playing with me. Look at the film. Google me in high school. Google me in high school. Ocho, I didn't give a number on you. Ocho, I didn't give a number on you.
Starting point is 01:12:23 What position you played in high school? I was a quarterback and I played safety, like everybody. And I was a punter. I'd have put you out of the game. I ain't going to lie. We'd have put a bounty on you. We'd have put you out of the game. We'd have put a bounty on you.
Starting point is 01:12:33 Listen, listen. I'm from Dade County, man. That bounty, that bounty talking all that, talking trash and all that, that shit don't work here. We did it. I'm built different. Been like that. We put bounties.
Starting point is 01:12:43 Always. But you know, back then, we really put boundaries. Man, that don't scare me. That don't scare me. Y'all don't pump no fear. I'd put you out of the game, Mocho. No, you wouldn't. I would have talked y'all out of y'all game anyway,
Starting point is 01:12:58 before the game even started. Do you realize I'm a professional? I talk for a living? No. I just think I get to be a talk for a living. You don't talk more than I do. Not on the field, you don't. Now, you're not finna say and think you out-talk me,
Starting point is 01:13:10 not on that field. Don't do that. Don't do your homework. Do your homework now. Ocho. Do your homework now. Let me ask you a question. How many penalties did you draw?
