Four days a week, I would buy two cups of banana pudding, but the price has gone up, so now I only buy one. Small but important ways, from tech billionaires to the bond market to, yeah, banana pudding.

Listen to everybody's business from Bloomberg Business Week, starting May 16th on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. In the fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal that looked like it might bring down his presidency.
Starting point is 00:01:55 It became known as the Iran-Contra affair. The things that happened were so bizarre and insane, I can't begin to tell you. Please do. To hear the whole story, listen to Fiasco, Iran Contra on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. The Volume What it do everybody? Yeah, what it do? Y'all already know it's your boy Bubba Dubb, man. Welcome to the Bubba Dubb Show.
Starting point is 00:02:34 You know, I know y'all been waiting on me like I've been waiting on y'all. The NBA playoffs is on fire. So before we even get into the NBA and what's going on with Pete DeGee, I mean, oh yeah, that's a whole lot going on with DeGee and Cassidy. Hey, we're going to get into all that tonight. You know, you know me, we're going to get into that tonight. But before we do anything, hit the like button. Yeah, go ahead and hit the like button.
Starting point is 00:02:57 Go ahead and hit the subscribe button. And when you do, when you do subscribe to the Bubble Dub Show, you know, keep your notifications turned on because you're going to want to know when we drop it over here and You know right now I'm currently watching the Golden State Warriors in the um, I Can't think of a name no more Golden State and who playing it in I have brain free Go and stay to Minnesota playing right now They really hanging in there right now with that Steph. I feel like the Timberwolves,
Starting point is 00:03:26 the Timberwolves, they gotta win this game, bro. Like this Ant-Man ain't really going off right now. But you know, Julius Rounder, AKA Funny Marco going off right now. But if Minnesota lose this game right here and they get Steph Curry back, they in trouble. I'm just being honest, they in trouble. Like, for me, like what's going on in the NBA right now?
Starting point is 00:03:49 Like, Minnesota really has a chance to get to the NBA finals per se. Like, and I think they nigga take advantage of their opportunities right now. I feel like Minnesota is a better team than Golden State. They should be blowing Golden State out right now, but they are not. And that let me know if Golden State keep this game close while they're at home, they could possibly pull this game off for tonight and end up being 2-2 headed back to Minnesota.
Starting point is 00:04:20 But man, he getting off to these slow starts. I don't know what it is. Maybe he just, he ain't really deferring because he getting his shot ups. Just ain't really making nothing right now. But he gotta stop getting off to these slow starts and start attacking early and getting into the game though. But yeah, right now halftime between the Warriors and the Wolves right now. Y'all let me know how y'all see this series going.
Starting point is 00:04:44 Six, y'all see it going in seven. Wolves or Warriors, talk to me, what you got? Man, I know my phone been through it. My phone been through everything, guess what? I'm not buying another one. Ain't no. Y'all gonna look at this bustin' up ass phone. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:06 Somebody say a man sell a sucker playing the after yellow jacket. They probably is fam. They probably is right now. Talk to me, you know NBA draft? Yeah, them Dallas Mavericks. The Dallas Mavericks, I... Hey, we got a lot to talk about here tonight. We got a lot to talk about here tonight we got a lot to talk about here tonight I got a lot of something special going on tonight man
Starting point is 00:05:30 we're gonna we're gonna talk basketball we're gonna we're gonna talk PD we're gonna we're gonna get it we forget we're gonna get in there right now and I forget bring somebody on with me right now we're gonna have a little fun tonight man so I bring somebody on. Mr. Vounding everybody. Let's bring Mr. Vounding. How you doing, boss lady? Good.
Starting point is 00:05:50 How are you? I'm good. Welcome to the Bubble Dub show. Over here we talk about sports, we talk about culture, we talk about everything over here. So tonight, you know, I'm gonna hit you with the first game we just watched. The New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics. They won that game 121 to 113. What are your thoughts on this series right now?
Starting point is 00:06:11 Uh, I got the Knicks winning everything. Well, not everything. I got the Knicks winning this series, but I've been had that. Uh, Jay, he won, he had 42 though. That's crazy. But he, I don't know, he just needs to be a little more solid, but he got injured So before Tatum got injured you had to nix win in this series. Yeah, and why why why is that? Why you have to nix beating the defending champs? They took cuts players not taking cuts
Starting point is 00:06:38 If you taking a cut you about to go crazy out there So that's what Bronceton was doing taking custody bring it. Oh, yeah, you about to give it your there. So that's what Bronciderm was doing, taking custody, bring it to... Oh, yeah. You about to give it your all. You're not doing that. But they've seen the vision. They're executing well, so... They're definitely executing well right now, like I said. I just recently just got through watching that game with Gilbert Goringa, and then Mo'Garrett's shot out to Gills Goringa. And from what I'm just seeing with the New York Knicks right now,
Starting point is 00:07:03 they're playing with a ton of confidence. Like, they they're going to knock the champs off and that's exactly how they're playing right now. So I got the Tom Thibodeau head coach over there right now, but Mikhail Bridges is surprising me. I didn't know he was this good. I knew he was good, but I didn't know he was that good. Did you know Mikhail Bridges was that good? He's solid. And I think he brings more than just like buckets and all that stuff to the team. You know, like his energy all around. He's a good person, good player, you know? His mid-ranks game, crazy too.
Starting point is 00:07:36 Crazy. And they was able to get what? I got new bait. They was able to get 20 points out of him. Big Cat, Carl Anthony Town. Spartan Five, right? I think they were bigots. Yeah. Yeah. They was bott to get 20 points out of him. Big Cat, Carl Anthony Towns. Spartan Five, right? I think they were the digits. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:46 They was bottling the night. But sometimes I also feel like with Big Cat, we're not seeing the best Big Cat yet, I don't think. I don't think he really reached his potential yet as a player. I never seen that from Cat, but I get a lot of controversy on that one. I don't know, I'm not a big Kat fan, but he produces when he wants to produce. No, that's what I'm saying. I don't think we've seen his, because he's like night and day. One game he might have 23 points, 15 rebounds, and next night he
Starting point is 00:08:17 ate and ate and ate and gets filing out. He's just never been too consistent for me. Like, you know, he just never been too consistent for me. Um, but other than that, like you say, the series he's, um, he's balling now, uh, Josh Hart playing tough defense, Robertson's getting rebounds. Um, and now we could be dealing with a torn Achilles from Jason Tagum tonight. I know that's tough. What does that does to Boston? Like, it's not just this series, but moving forward. Oh They're gonna they're gonna have to figure it out within the entire team. I feel like they they built a lot off of JT
Starting point is 00:08:51 so and Jalen we've seen what he's done this series so And I have to figure it out Which is nothing they most do you do you move Jalen Brown? That's what I'm hinting at. Do you move him? Yeah. You're gonna have to do what you have to do. You're gonna have to move him. I'm sorry. The NBA finals MVP, you willing to move on from him?
Starting point is 00:09:16 Yeah. You see how they just did Luca? It's no... It's... There's none of that in this game. So what are you giving up for him, though? You just ain't letting him go. Like, you gotta be getting something crazy back in return for him though. Yeah, you do. Well, we're gonna see all these moves that are about to happen. I'm hearing Youngas is exploring, leaving Milwaukee,
Starting point is 00:09:37 and if you sang a tone in your spurs with the second pick, do you go out to Youngas? Yes. Yes. Yeah. I think every team, I mean, that he wants to go to and explore. Who wouldn't go? I mean, it's not that I just don't want to see him with Wimby Young, but I don't
Starting point is 00:09:59 think they'll lose. Wimby Young, but Youngest and Fox right now, I don't think they lose. Like they going to get every rebound. They're gonna be tough to beat. When Beyond Boy with the Spurs right now, they're gonna be tough to beat. You say, Wild Boy, Youngest. It's gonna sound crazy, but I'm from Chicago. We need something in Chicago. No! Hell no! Yes, sir. Yes, yes.
Starting point is 00:10:20 Y'all got a good little Young Squad over there. But you know why I really want to see youngers at? Just like, just because, you know, I'm, I'm, I'm Laker. I want to see him out there in L.A. I mean, Braun on his way out, maybe Braun get to play with him for one more year. But him and Luka in the West, that'll go crazy. Like, like that, that will go crazy. Youngers and Luka. Insane. Insane. Insane. I like Lakers, too. That will go crazy. Youngers and Luka?
Starting point is 00:10:46 Insane. Insane. Insane. I like Lakers too. But if you was to go out of a Youngers, they would have to give up everybody to get him though. The Lakers would. Oh yeah. Like AR, Rui, Bronny. I mean, you know, we hate to give up our Blunt Roller, but because Bronny, y'all know if you know, Bron hate to give up our blood blunt roller, but the product don't know if you know Bernie be rolling them blunts over there and that's I
Starting point is 00:11:10 Don't know if they let brony go or not, but you know, we might even give up JJ record for young I let him brony go Now we know no people say what they want about brony the guy can play but not only that he's a moneymaker like the Jersey sales like so That goes into consider consideration with these owners in this NBA league I mean some want to win but most of them well majority of them all is about the money at the end of the day Yeah, and people think with the Dallas Mounds which is so just for a minute with Nico Harris If people don't think that the owner didn't know what was going on with him trading Luca,
Starting point is 00:11:47 y'all crazy. Like they knew exactly what was going on. Yeah. And then they all acted like they didn't know though. That's what's crazy. Think about it, you don't think they would have fired him if they didn't know. They would have fired him.
Starting point is 00:11:59 He just, they didn't. I don't think he was crazy. Cause they wasn't even on it. Like they didn't wanna pay Luca all that money. That's what it's all bossed out to at the end of the day. They wasn't willing to give Luca even though he's 26 years old, but they felt like he had bad work-out habits. He's in the refrigerator every damn day, eating grapes or watermelon. I mean, just Luca being Luca, but they didn't want to give them the money. They sent them to LA. It's good for the NBA.
Starting point is 00:12:26 And I also think this, we're going to give up Luka to the Lakers, right? It's going to be crazy. It's going to be blockbuster. We're going to get the ratings back up, but we're going to make sure y'all get the number one pick. Right. Like, I always think something going on behind the scenes with the NBA, making sure certain teams get what they're supposed
Starting point is 00:12:45 to get in the end. We were just on gills or ringer talking about this. And I just think they were just all in cahoots with this. Because like you say, who going to give up Luka? Like they just like Chicago, not comparing them, but they get like the Chicago Bulls giving up Michael Jordan. Right. Like that's never going to, never going gonna happen. Or Derrick Rose and his prime. Never gonna happen. So that's how I feel about that. Yeah. They're saying they're trying to, it's based off marketing now. So like every franchise is like, they're trying to market the face of the franchise. Who's the face of the NBA to you right now? It's up for grabs. I mean, Yolkich.
Starting point is 00:13:28 Yolkich? But he don't even want it though. No. He doesn't. But he doesn't really have a choice when you're doing things that you're doing like that. I ain't gonna lie to you, I'm saying the same thing to Ant-Man. He said he don't want it. It's not the grabs.
Starting point is 00:13:47 It's not Jason Tate and I can say that. And ain't that strange though? To be honest, ain't that strange that he's not the face? Is he strange? It is. I think it was for him. And for whatever reason, nobody won't get grass for him too. Did we? I mean, you've seen what he's done in the playoffs.
Starting point is 00:14:10 I mean, he had a ring last year. Yeah, he did, but he's still a little soft. Okay. I ain't gonna disagree with that. I'm not gonna disagree with that saying he's not, but I would say the face of the league right now would be Yonis. Yonis why? Because he plays both ends of the floor. Both ends of the floor he's already a champion. He already got an MVP. He might got two I don't even state he might got two he might got two, I don't even state. He might got two, he might got one, but I think he got two. I think his youngest. And, you know, Brian ain't got buggered by,
Starting point is 00:14:50 Kerry probably got about what, two or three? Duret probably got two years left. Like, all the generational players that we gonna see, they on their way out. Like, who's gonna take that next step? And making the NBA siding like those players will like like you say take them, but He's not doing it besides yokich you got Luka But it's ain't a shame like it's only one high flyer and that's Ant-Man
Starting point is 00:15:16 Luka and Jokic they slow. Yeah, they are and So, you know, but they make big plays and they know how to, like, lead teams and things like that. Correct. I think Jai Wick would have been, if he wouldn't have been out here Jai Wicking, he would have definitely would have been the face. Because they was definitely trying to give it to him. Even Nike now with the shoes, they trying to, they pumping, like, they really pumping hard with his shoes right now. But I don't know if he want it though.
Starting point is 00:15:42 Like, I don't think certain players want what comes with that. Because it's a lot. Yeah, but don't you want to be great? Don't you like, don't you want to be one of them ones? Are you guys okay with just, I guess I'm going to be a regular star. I'm good. I'm gonna get my money and I'm good. Like, do you want to go all the way to the top with it?
Starting point is 00:16:03 I feel like stats and stuff and what you do can play a role. That doesn't mean you have to take on all that responsibility. You know, like being, people don't want to be in the cameras all the time. I mean, they're on contracts and stuff, so they have to, but unnecessary, like, ooh, now they're not trying to do that. Nobody wants to live like that all the time. Like, ooh, now they're not trying to do that. Nobody wants to live like that all the time. I mean, yeah, I mean, you gotta have your privacy sometime.
Starting point is 00:16:30 I mean, because when you get together, start looking, TMZ everywhere. And you probably see LeBron and how he's living. Everything with his kids, everything. Yep, but then, but you will have some people arguing, saying that's why he get paid the big bucks. I know. So it's like, best of both worlds really.
Starting point is 00:16:51 Yes. I mean, you gotta take it for what it's worth. Like Beyonce, them, they can't even, I seen them on some video of Jay-Z and Beyonce, they was outside their house, just outside in the yard and somebody camped out in the mountains and video on them. It's like It's no privacy at that. But I guess it's only privacy when you're in the earth line Might be only time they probably really get privacy but also switch yourselves back to the game Yesterday we seen the Indiana Pacers defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Starting point is 00:17:25 What's going on with that series? Why is it that a team that was so great in the regular season is not in the playoffs? From your perspective, what's going on with the Cleveland Cavaliers right now? They're just not a playoff team. I think everyone can agree to that. Every year they're in the same position with playoffs. They're gonna have to make some moves over there. And is it moving Spider-Man?
Starting point is 00:17:54 So you willing to move Dunham and Mitchell? I don't know. He's nice. He's very, very nice. But do you move him? Is it time? Or do you come back next season and maybe add a piece? I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:18:16 What do you think? They're solid, right? I say add a piece. I don't think you should break them up here. I think they need one more person come over. Yeah, don't break them up. They're solid. Who can they get though that could come over and just really give them,
Starting point is 00:18:32 because you still gonna have to be dealing with the Knicks. You still got the Celtics coming back. Maybe they ain't as tough as they was, but. The Knicks taking over the East. East. I don't know. I don't say break it. When it's taking over the East. The East. I don't know. I don't say break it up though. I say add another piece to the puzzle. I would get so hot up there.
Starting point is 00:18:55 That organization has, they've been working over there. Yeah. I mean, it's Cleveland. At the end of the day,in ain't there no more. It's, it's, it's just, I don't know. But like I say, the Pacers is up at that series right now. I don't see Cleveland coming back and winning this series at all. I think it's over. I think the Pacers is going to be meeting the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference finals.
Starting point is 00:19:23 That's a rivalry. Remember the Patrick Younes and the Reggie Millers going at it. And I already heard you always saying you got the Knicks winning it all. So you really. I got the Nuggets. Oh, you got the Nuggets if they make it to the finals. But out of the Knicks and the Pacers, who would you have winning that series? The Knicks.
Starting point is 00:19:42 You got the Knicks getting to the finals. Facing the Denver Nuggets. So that's your pick, the Nuggets rushing the Knicks. In what, six or seven? Come and go, seven. Oh, you feel the making. It's exciting. Seven game, New York Knicks.
Starting point is 00:20:02 Ooh. I'm Michael Kasson, founder and CEO of 3C Ventures and your guide on Good Company, the podcast where I sit down with the boldest innovators shaping what's next. In this episode, I'm joined by Anjali Sood, CEO of Tubi for a conversation that's anything but ordinary. We dive into the competitive world of streaming, how she's turning so-called niche into mainstream gold, connecting audiences with stories that truly make them feel seen.
Starting point is 00:20:31 What others dismiss as niche, we embrace as core. It's this idea that there are so many stories out there, and if you can find a way to curate and help the right person discover the right content, the term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen. Get a front row seat to where media, marketing, technology, entertainment, and sports collide. And hear how leaders like Anjali are carving out space and shaking things up a bit in the most crowded of markets.
Starting point is 00:21:01 Listen to Good Company on the iHeart radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Retirement is the long game. We gotta make moves and make them early. Set up goals. Don't worry about a setback. Just save up and stack up to reach them. Let's put ourselves in the right position. Pre-game to greater things. Start building your retirement plan at thisispretirement.org brought to you by AARP and the Ad Council.
Starting point is 00:21:45 In the fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal that looked like it might bring down his presidency. Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir? No. It became known as the Iran-Contra affair. And I'm not taking any more questions. In just a second, I'm going to ask a... I'm Leon Nefock, co-creator of Slow Burn. In my podcast, Fiasco, Iran-Contra,
Starting point is 00:22:15 you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a scandal that captivated the nation nearly 40 years ago, but which few of us still remember today. The things that happened were so bizarre and insane, I can't begin to tell you. Please do. To hear the whole story, listen to Fiasco, Iran Contra on the iHeart Radio app, Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. A lot of times the big economic forces we hear about on the news show up in our lives in small ways.
Starting point is 00:23:00 Three or four days a week, I would buy two cups of banana pudding, but the price has gone up. So now I only buy one. The demand curve in action. And that's just one of the things we'll be covering on everybody's business from Bloomberg Business Week. I'm Max Chafkin. And I'm Stacey Vanek-Smith. Every Friday, we will be diving into the biggest stories in business, taking a look at what's going on, why it matters, and how it shows up in our everyday lives. With guests like Business Week editor Brad Stone, sports reporter Randall Williams,
Starting point is 00:23:24 and consumer spending expert Amanda Mull will take you inside the boardrooms, the backrooms, even the signal chats that make our economy tick. Hey, I want to learn about VeChain. I want to buy some blockchain or whatever it is that they're doing. Listen to Everybody's Business starting May 16th on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:23:46 I see it. It's going to sound crazy. And I know people are going to be getting on me for this, but I see OKC in the New York Knicks NBA finals. OKC in the Knicks? OKC, they're not going to beat the Knicks. NBA finals. Okay, see in the nooks? Okay, see they're not going to be the nooks. I know my friend keep telling me the sad thing.
Starting point is 00:24:12 He keep saying, duh, but it ain't going to happen. But I guess somehow I just think Shea going to get them boys to the finals against the New York Knicks. But I do not know who going to win that series though. I don't know. I think it's a miracle on 34th Street. Something happening. It's going to be crazy this year in the NBA finals. But I don't think it's going to be the team
Starting point is 00:24:31 that we all think that's going to be there though. Cause I know you saying the Nuggets, you got some people saying the Ant Man, but everybody's been counting off OKC. I think OKC going to get there against the New York Knicks. It's going gonna be crazy. I would hope a young team actually wins. That would be exciting.
Starting point is 00:24:50 Uh, yeah. I mean, we gonna see it go, but I know Denver is not going to be no easy team to beat, especially from OKC. I mean, Denver more, uh, more experienced, more experienced. They, they bagger tested, uh, they got three, four time MVP in Yolkage. They got a ring. They got Westbrook coming off that bench. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:25:13 He's a firecracker. Like he's sitting on that. He's sitting on that. He can still come in and get you 20, 25 off the bench quick, in a fast, in a hurry. So that's the only thing that scare me about the Nuggets. But I guess- You can't get about Aaron Gordon either. He's the reason why they're winning.
Starting point is 00:25:32 Like he has changed this series. Like it's crazy how it go from Jokic, maybe to Mary, but now it's straight Gordon. He's setting the tone, rebounding, hitting clutch, side. I'm talking about threes. We're talking about the slam dunk dude. They should have worn Sure one least two of them or at least one but he is the guy who hidden cluts shots Aaron Gordon It's crazy. That's why I say times has changed right now. Like for me, I used to look at him like a Blake Griffin Yeah, but it's, even though Blake Griffin game, he started coming out the elbow and hitting shots,
Starting point is 00:26:09 but like Aaron Gordon, he's consistent. Like, you know, you gonna get at least 21 points every night from Gordon right now. I'm about 10, 11 rebounds. Like that's what he's giving. So yeah, I can see that. But we'll see though. But what's really going on right now though is switching girls.
Starting point is 00:26:30 Tory Lanez went from 10 years to 10 stitches. Like what's going on in the penitentiary while they are stabbing a rapper slash singer? I don't know. Like that's crazy, man. To be living the life, you know, people, they ain't never dreamed of living, man. Now you in prison and you know, you feel like he didn't do nothing wrong, but now he's in there possibly fighting for his life. Like, I don't understand these rappers why they try to prove themselves to be so hard.
Starting point is 00:27:00 If I'm going to prison, I'm going to be in PC. I'm not going to have no damn roommate. I'm going to be, I'm going to be in PC. I'm not going to have no damn roommate. I'm going to be by myself all day. Now the letters I'm writing, the letters I'm writing to my family, oh, I'm in population. I'm with everybody. I'm lying though. They ain't going to know. No. How you feel about that, man? A celebrity is going to jail and want to be around the people instead of being isolated by yourself. If you was in the situation, these celebrities in, would you rather be around other folks or would you just rather be by yourself out there? Probably other people.
Starting point is 00:27:36 Oh, you gangster like that then, huh? You more of a mingle, huh? Oh yeah. What? I need that time to go by quicker. I need some interaction. I'm not that big. I ain't got time for somebody. All of a sudden, the day started liking boys. I ain't got time for all that. Right.
Starting point is 00:27:57 You're right about that. And you go up and down? Oh, you know what? You go up, oh, it's going down. So you might want to think. Them green eyes, see what you're going to do? They putting the call in. Nah, I think I better go on back to PC because this ain't going to be me.
Starting point is 00:28:15 I think that's what I would do. But we praying for you, Tory Lanez. We're going to wish danger or harm on anybody. Man, what's... How crazy did they say where you got stabbed? No, they ain't say, they ain't say. Last time I checked, they ain't say. But they say it wasn't life-threatening,
Starting point is 00:28:33 so no vital organs, thank God. But we'll see how that goes. And the next thing that's in the news right now that's going crazy is the Pete Deedee case that's going on right now. There's been breaking news, not breaking news, but they went to trial today. And this is a guy that Pete Deedee,
Starting point is 00:28:55 y'all gotta listen to this for y'all just not tuning in. I'm trying to break down the Pete Deedee situation and what's going on. It's a whole lot of stuff going on and that is coming out now. And a lot of people from the beginning embarrassed by this stuff But according to reports P. Diddy hired a guy He gave him a couple of racks to sleep with Cassidy
Starting point is 00:29:19 Yeah, you heard me right he paid a guy a couple racks to come in and sleep with Cassidy while he watched now I don't know what kind of shit Diggie got going on, man, but that ain't the business. How I'm gonna have my girl? I don't know. There's some sick shit going on right now. And I can't believe what I'm re- The dude can't got on stand and told this stuff. I'm not making this stuff up. The dude got on stand and said,
Starting point is 00:29:51 Pee Deegie pay him to sleep with Cassey. And that was Pee Deegie's girlfriend at the time. And not only did he sleep with her, Cassey told him to pee on her. What? That's what's in the report. The man took the stand. I solemnly swear to tell nothing but the truth.
Starting point is 00:30:14 He needs to go under the jail. Enough. I thought R. Kelly was the only one peeing on people, man. But your boy, Deedee, peeing on Cassidy, man. That's why I say sometimes it's best not to go to trial, man. Because you know what I'm saying? Because a lot of people gonna be hurt, a lot of people gonna get embarrassed by this.
Starting point is 00:30:38 And I know a lot of women right now, they with Cassidy, Cassidy right now, but they're looking at her sideways by her getting peed on because she wanted to get peed on They ain't that he would get doing it to do it. She was asking for the golden showers everybody Now I love Cassie and I'm all for her getting her justice But you mean to tell me she was one to get pee on? Oh, man, it's freaky shit going on around here. Think about this, fellas, talk to me, man. Oh yeah, all out there peeing on the ladies.
Starting point is 00:31:11 Let's talk about it, man. I seen a couple of ladies in the comments on a certain website, and they were saying, well, if they was in a relationship and that's what she like, that's just what she like. Now, where I'm from, I don't know. Now I'm in the world, I'm gonna get pissed off. I just don't know what we into no more,
Starting point is 00:31:32 but I don't know. What are your thoughts on that? Your girl Cassie wanted to get peed on, golden showers per se. And it's nothing false about it. These are all facts. She wanted this. Maybe he turned her out. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:31:52 We're not denying that. No, we're not denying that. And you know, if someone said the same thing that he turned Cassie out to a certain point, she wanted all these things. These are all the things that P. Digley taught her. But old boy said when he came into the bedroom, Cassidy was like, hey, hey, hey, hey, I want you to pee on me, not him. And old boy said when he urinated on Cassidy, P. Digley was on the side, masturbating. Now, Digley should get 30 years to life.
Starting point is 00:32:26 Under the door. What? Hey, hey, hey. Look, I'm not messing with nobody to preface you all what you are. But for somebody to be being on my girl and I'm masturbating. And I'm masturbating. Man, I can't believe, man, Biggie's rolling over in this goddamn grave right now, man. Get this shit. Hey, I think, but look, it's not, I can't believe, like, P Diddy, y'all, my, right, I know he into a lot of freaky shit, and that's Diddy. P Diddy. P Diddy, y'all mind bright. I know he into a lot of freaky shit and that's Diddy.
Starting point is 00:33:05 P Diddy. P Diddy. Diddy was. Yeah. Yeah. Y'all boy, the Harlem Shaker is in the bedroom with his girl and another guy. And the other guy is doing whatever he wants to cast it.
Starting point is 00:33:28 And Dee Dee is checking out. I am going to ask y'all something. If Dee Dee somehow beats this case, do y'all look at him the same? If he beats this case, how do you look at Diddy? Or do you still look at him with disgust? Disgust. It's over with for him. For him, his family, his team, his businesses, everything is over with.
Starting point is 00:34:03 He's not, he's not going gonna beat this. I don't think Like he's still gonna he's still gonna face consequences in life I mean, he definitely gonna face consequences, but it's like Angus prays Like I was saying Angus prays now that all your business is coming out like now we know what the loop was for and there's plenty more stuff coming out. Like it's one thing to have women come out against you, but he got guys, actual men coming out and saying he paid him several thousands of dollars to sleep with Cassie while he watch. That's... There's gonna be a lot more coming out.
Starting point is 00:34:54 Probably worse than that. I think some of our favorite people gonna be involved in this. Yeah. I think a lot of people about to go down... a lot. A lot over with. That's why I think he might get out. Because he helped, Diddy got a lot of secrets. And they didn't find them tapes that they was looking for either. So you got to keep that in mind right now. Like I think it did get out man.
Starting point is 00:35:21 I'm telling y'all. It didn't get out. But I know one thing, that Bad Boys for Life, the jury, the jury, the jury, hold on to that. I'm telling you, the jury's gonna get him for that one. I promise you, the jury gonna test that slogan like expired milk, that Bad Boys for Life slogan. You can best believe it. They, they, they not playing, they not playing man.
Starting point is 00:35:47 Like I go back to privacy like you said earlier, like you want privacy but when you living that life and all this type of stuff coming like everything coming out. And I don't think Diddy gonna be the only one getting hurt in this either. Like I definitely think Cassidy getting hurt. I think anybody that's involved in this case, reputation gonna take a lick behind this because this can go left. Because I think Diddy been in jail for seven, eight months.
Starting point is 00:36:16 That's why he doing all this, all this stuff, all this. Cause he knows like he got a ace somewhere and he's gonna use it. All I'm saying is if they let Diddy come home, then they got to let R. Kelly come home. Now, they all should have stipulations. They can't be within 5,000 feet of a school. They can't be within 1500 feet of women no younger than 30. And wow. Because we all know what they like to do when they get around, you know that. So I think
Starting point is 00:36:59 R. Kelly need to come home. I think he done six, seven years. He done some time. He just can't be around women who ain't on the third. And do it that way. Do you still listen to R. Kelly? Who me? Yeah. Hell yeah. I can separate the man from the music. I can separate the man from the music.
Starting point is 00:37:23 I can do that. I can separate the man from the news I could do that It because it's it for me is it's art Like I know this guy might be a bad person, you know, doesn't think he should have never done She in jail for what he's done but I can listen to his music because I'm listening to Robert or I was, I'm listening to Robert. Or Kelly was doing all that bumping grind shit.
Starting point is 00:37:47 Robert was in the singing. So I can listen to Robert. Me too. I just think we all just need to entertain us. Anybody that's in the business, I think we all should just get our shit together and start doing the right things, man. If you up in age, you need to, you know,
Starting point is 00:38:05 at least don't be dating nobody younger than your dog, bro. Like I think that's whack. That ain't, you know, but you know, no kind of people be feeling like they're untouchable. And that's why they, well, they ain't. No, you can't. Are you? It aborre's their power.
Starting point is 00:38:21 And in this business, it happens a lot. And it gets so happening for us black men, we get punished real quicker than anybody else. But you have to be smart in what you're doing. It's crazy out here though. What y'all saying, check. Oh, Kelly the Goat, Ye had to get pissed on the way he wildin'.
Starting point is 00:38:37 Somebody say Kanye Weston got pissed on too the way he out here actin'. Yeah, he's talking about his daughter now, her bowel movement. Like your daughter, like 11 or 12. Why are you talking about your daughter bowel movement, bro? Like, what did Kim do to him? I'm asking, what did Kim do to him? He ain't been the same. He got drugged by some guy in Hollywood, the gym guy.
Starting point is 00:39:02 And he's been like that ever since? No, and he said that. And that's what people are ignoring. He actually has said that he got drugged. Forget the guy's name. But look into it. Oh, this need to be in jail. Yeah, by the same trainer who drugged like Michael Jackson and Whitney. Ah, this shit need to be tested.
Starting point is 00:39:22 Yes, it's out. And people are ignoring that he actually has been coming out and saying stuff like that. I mean, he's done now. But sorry, they can never make me go against Kanye. Damn, yeah. That type of shit go on though. That type of shit go on in Hollywood. And I ain't gonna say Hollywood, it can go go anywhere when you become that, when you become elite. I feel like they, it's really spooky on the cool.
Starting point is 00:39:51 You can go out, you can get successful, you can get all this money, but if you don't abide by the rules, they come and get you, they pay you a visit. And I'm like, dang, I just try and get money and just do my own thing and I pay my taxes. It don't work like that. You become, in their eyes, you become so powerful, they try to, they're going to try to control you. And I think when Kanye West hit that, what, two billion, three billion mark, and they just yanked it.
Starting point is 00:40:18 Yep. And he been wild and everything. Now you're saying he ain't going to get Megalyn and all this type of shit. Something I said, he ain't gonna get megalitans and all this type shit. Something going on, I don't know. I had to die. They was trying to kill Kanye. They had him on all this.
Starting point is 00:40:33 Did you hear about that? When they had him on all these gases or whatever? Yeah, that's where I was sort of bring up. I thought they was having on like some, what you like laughing gas type stuff they were saying. Yeah, but he was looking for like tanks every day, reaching out to the orthodontist or whatever. Yeah, that's that Luminaga shit though,
Starting point is 00:40:53 like something ain't right, like. No, he just knows too much. He's just kind of. He's powerful, I'm saying if you know too much, you know what normally happened to us though, you know, that's just the history of it. That's the history of it, you know? That's just the history of it, of the situation. But you know, we moving on past that, I'm getting off that little nice shit.
Starting point is 00:41:13 Yeah. Please. Never. But right now in the news going off right now, Minnie Camp, Shadour Sanders looking hella good out there in Minnie Camp with the Cleveland Browns. How do you feel about Shadour with the Cleveland Brownlla good out there in Mena Camp with the Cleveland Browns. How do you feel about Shadour with the Cleveland Browns? How do you feel about that?
Starting point is 00:41:28 I'm happy. I feel like he's in a great position and he faced that adversity, but it's going to make him better. I feel like I'm really excited to see how that plays out. I'm Michael Kasson, founder and CEO of 3C Ventures and your guide on Good Company, the podcast where I sit down with the boldest innovators shaping what's next. What others dismiss as niche, we embrace as core. We just kind of knew from the beginning that we were family.
Starting point is 00:42:59 They showcased a sense of love that I never had before. I mean, he's not only my parent, like he's like my best friend. At the end of the day, it's all been worth it. I wouldn't change a thing about our lives. Learn about adopting a teen from foster care. Visit adoptUSkids.org to learn more. Starting point is 00:43:21 and the Ad Council. In the fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal that looked like it might bring down his presidency. Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir? No. No one was let go. It became known as the Iran-Contra affair. And I'm not taking any more questions.
Starting point is 00:43:41 In just a second, I'm going to ask attorney general. I'm Leon Neyfok, co-creator of Slow Burn. Like that's where quarterbacks go and die. Now they can Brad Burr and Coles are they had drunk-ass, junkie man. They had, uh, I'm going to touch on my, um, masseuse on, um, the son Watson Watson and ain't nothing happening. Yeah. That ends up number three. Well, it's, I think if they could protect Shadore, I think that'd be fine. I really do.
Starting point is 00:45:56 But it's the Browns at the end of the day. It's the Browns. Yeah. But he has his dad. He's going to be grounded. I felt like that. He'll be grounded, but his ass his dad. He's gonna be grounded. I feel like that. He'll be grounded, but his ass gonna be grounded too, because they can't protect him.
Starting point is 00:46:11 That's true. The NFL is a whole different organization. You're darn right, it is a whole different ball game too. It's a whole different ball game. I feel like it. Definitely, but I think that'll be all right. You're right, it can get really tricky for him Yes, but uh saying we're gonna how you think Ken Ward gonna do with the Titans?
Starting point is 00:46:33 He was the number he was a number one pickover. He don't really get talked about as much Much but uh, I'm looking forward to seeing what he do with the Tennessee Titans as well this year, man. Oh No, he missed Shadora real good friends too. So it'd be, we already know he going to start, but if Shadora end up starting too, that'd be dope. I think that'd be real dope, man. Them two brothers starting that really.
Starting point is 00:46:59 I'm excited for football this year. Who's your team? I mean, I'm a Cowboy fan. There's really nothing to be excited about with them motherfuckers, man. I'ma be real. There's really nothing. Like, you're a Barrels fan, right? No.
Starting point is 00:47:10 Who? Who you with? Ravens. Oh, hell, what is it? How you feel? Y'all, you was right there and lost. How you feeling? Pissed.
Starting point is 00:47:21 I see. Y'all be more than that. Blew me. Ooh. Fire. I'm not going to say. We got the Ravens, you know. I still got Derek Herring. I brought him in my little homeboy from the Cogger Rocker, little John T. Wells, so I
Starting point is 00:47:40 got to the Ravens for that. Will Lamar want to ring with Baltimore is the question. Yes, I'm gonna say that because that's my team, but it's gonna be really hard for him. It's gonna be extremely hard for that team to win. Is she gonna have to deal with- They have to be more disciplined. They always have talent. They have dogs, they're hungry, everything, but they're not disciplined.
Starting point is 00:48:06 They're not disciplined. Even with John Harbaugh as the coach. Yeah, even with him as the coach. Maybe move him around. We should start thinking about that. Did he mind getting rid of John? Absolutely. I just like to see them getting rid of Mike Tomey.
Starting point is 00:48:30 Okay, you're going to see they're going to keep losing until they do something with the head coach. They don't know when to throw, when to run, they don't know what they're working with. They should be a run team. They should be. They're a run team. They should be a run team. They should be a, they're a run team. They're a run first team.
Starting point is 00:48:48 They picking shoes. The OC. Yeah. Office Cardinal. Yeah. They can push out another one, but it's the same stuff. Well, we're going to, we're going to see what y'all do this year. I mean, y'all have a lot better than my Dallas Cowboys.
Starting point is 00:49:02 I could tell you that. Um, we get you one. I ain't got George Pickens on their Steelers. Let's see. I mean, you know, C.D. would get in double team a lot last year. Let's see if he can start getting some one-on-ones again
Starting point is 00:49:16 with, you know, old Pickens being over there. He's a wild card. I say that, I know a lot of my Cowboy family hitting me up, wanting me to talk about it more. He's a wild card, but if he ball out, then he's gonna be looking for a big pay guy. So I expect to see a motivated, joy picking this year, a player that's locked in,
Starting point is 00:49:36 focused, dialed in, and ready to show the world what he can do, because all eyes is on him. And when you with Dallas Dallas you know all eyes on you whether we win or lose y'all tuning in and watching what the Dallas Cowboys do each and every Sunday I'm pretty sure you got some Cowboy fans in your family I guarantee you you do yeah somebody a Cowboy fan over there you know we America's team baby we America's team no you don't watch Cowboy? Yeah, when they play. When they play.
Starting point is 00:50:06 When they play the Ravens. Yeah. How many rings y'all got? For the Ravens? Yeah. I don't know. Two? Yup.
Starting point is 00:50:14 They're going to win this year. You said that last year. I bet you you said last year. It's a high year. Yeah. I'm going to say every year. And fold it in the end. They're gonna win this year. You said that last year. I bet you you said last year. It's a high year. Yeah, I'm gonna say every year.
Starting point is 00:50:28 And fold it in the end. They have the potential. Every year. I think Buffalo's gonna get there next year. Buffalo's nice. Buffalo's gonna get there next year. Berk was nice too. Then they had all those injuries. Who? Detroit.
Starting point is 00:50:44 They was stupid. I had them. I'm like, okay, Detroit is too good. How you feeling about Jaden Daniels? He ran through Detroit. A young man ran through. I'm gonna ask you a quick question. How do you feel about Jaden Daniels' moms? Like, this seem like this man can't go on no date.
Starting point is 00:51:01 He can't go on no date while his mama being in the mix. If you, how would you feel about that? If my parent was in the mix, that wouldn't happen. It has to be boundaries. Okay. Okay. I think those are rumors, if we're being honest. She came out and she said something like the media made into something, it wasn't. I was- Well, Remy's asking if it was.
Starting point is 00:51:29 If it was what? That she was in the way of everything? Yeah, anytime he tried to go on a date or try to cheat out police, all in the damn face. No, that's not right. She has to- I wouldn't have a problem with telling my mama, hey, look here, I love you, but this
Starting point is 00:51:48 is where I love. You're going to have to fall back. You have to fall back. Be a man. You got to speak up. But I don't know, because women, it is tricky with women. So you have to have those people around you who are like guiding you through all that But when it gets to the extreme when they're like you can't do this or she's hopping in a car riding around like nah
Starting point is 00:52:15 Go go home. Go find him Man I get it though, you know, she just won just only wants the best for her son. If that's true or not, I don't know. I respect that and all. But me, I love my mama, but she just can't be here where I be. I'm sorry, daddy, I'm going to make some mistakes, niggas. Let me bump my head. Not till I do some crazy stuff, but let me bump my head.
Starting point is 00:52:41 Yeah. Y'all bump y'all head. Know what I'm saying? So let me bump my head. Yeah, like y'all bump y'all head Know I'm saying so let me bump my head. Yeah, let me learn shit Somebody say you could tell a Dallas Cowboy fan they all them Nazis in the count they is before ahead and do and do We're the Cowboy baby. I mean I look I know we ain't gonna be shit this year But if we win our first game,
Starting point is 00:53:06 I'm gonna come on back on this show and say Super Bowl. I guess I'm superstitious like that. I just get a good feeling that we got a chance of going to a Super Bowl. And I'm not gonna let nobody get me down, turn my hopes up, because I like to stay positive. I don't like to think negative at all. So I like to think that the Dallas Cowboys is is going to super bowl whether it be in in real life or on the game
Starting point is 00:53:31 We are going to super bowl Either way will I go on mad? I mean I'm going we're going to real life, but we're going But uh, I guess the way I feel right now, Minnesota beating the dog shit out of Golden State. 95, 75, they up 20. I look like you're stepping away from you Golden State fans. And I'm loving it. Who your goat?
Starting point is 00:53:55 Talk to me. Basketball, who your goat? LeBron. Yeah, I don't want you. I couldn't hear you. I couldn't hear you. I'm James. Y'all heard what she said?
Starting point is 00:54:03 Y'all heard? It wouldn't be a discussion anymore. She said, I'm James. I'm James. I'm gonna hear you. Y'all heard what she said? Y'all heard? It wouldn't be a discussion anymore. No, you heard it. She said LBJ over Michael Jordan. But he's still playing, so they need something to talk about. So you got him over Jordan?
Starting point is 00:54:22 Yes. What do you got Jordan ranked at? One through five. What do you got Jordan ranked at? One through five, what do you got Michael Jordan ranked? Your top five, give me your top five. I'm gonna go LeBron. Okay. Kobe. Okay.
Starting point is 00:54:37 I'm gonna go Jordan. Got Jordan three, okay. Magic. Four, okay. And I'm gonna gold queen that's a tough list I can't even she got down this again she got down on no she got down on that one Katie or Camilla Anthony Katie Camelo Anthony. Katie. Who you got?
Starting point is 00:55:12 Katie. I got Katie top 10. He ain't my top 10 greatest ever. Katie. Ain't no doubt about it. I like Katie. I wouldn't doubt about it. And? Huh? I like Katie. I wouldn't want to play on the team with him, no. Why?
Starting point is 00:55:29 You don't think he's a good teammate? No. I don't. Man, I never heard nobody say that before, that you wouldn't want to play with Katie. Dang, you might be the first. Katie, nice. He's amazing.
Starting point is 00:55:48 He's nice. He's amazing, actually. He's one of them ones. He's definitely, yeah. That's why I say when LeBron gone, Katie gone, Steph gone, Lee gonna be different. Like, Katie got with two rings, Steph got four, LeBron got four.
Starting point is 00:56:09 Yeah. Like, I'm ready to see his, whatever player is gonna make it that next level, I mean, to get like, I know Yoke has got one, but if he start getting two rings, three rings, four rings, they're gonna start comparing him as the GOAT. I'm just letting you know now, that's where they're going. They're moving in that direction right now.
Starting point is 00:56:29 If he get two or three rings, they're going to be showing, and his numbers and what he's doing, it's going to be hard to dispute what they're throwing out there. That's for sure on that. It's hard to stop him. Somebody saying Cooper Flag would take over. How you feel about Cooper Flag? From Duke? No.
Starting point is 00:56:55 Thank you, Zile Hype. You don't thank him? Seeing what he did in March Madness. You're not impressed? No. NBA different? Impressed. Cooper Flag, I think he's, I like his drive.
Starting point is 00:57:07 I'm not going to say he's going to be a number one type player. He can be a good number three. Yeah. Possibly two. He'll fit over there. I think he can make a little noise in the NBA for sure. If he goes to Dallas, he can fit over there. To the Mavericks?
Starting point is 00:57:25 Or 80? That might be a good situation for him on the court. That might, so you got him going number one then. Yeah. You got the Mavericks, oh shit. But I wasn't, I mean, I seen what he did in March Madness. I was expecting a little more. Yeah, yeah. I seen what he did in March Madness. I was expecting a little more.
Starting point is 00:57:48 Yeah, yeah. I can't debate you on that one, but you seen what he did in March Madness and yeah, you're just true on that one. So we'll move on from that one. You into boxing? You watch a little boxing. Yeah some of it You want to see a rematch between tank and um, my god? Yeah. Oh, yeah Ryan got beat by roly. I know He got put down didn't he? Yeah. He got beat by Rowley.
Starting point is 00:58:29 But when he fought Tank, that was a good fight. People thought Ryan should have won that. Man, that boy quit. Boy quit. Ryan, I just is out of height. It's all about the money and boxing. I want to see Tank fight Keyshawn. I want to see Tank fight Devin. I want to see Tank fight Shakur. And I think if he make those fights, he probably retire after those three fights. But you know, it
Starting point is 00:58:57 comes a point of time where, you know, you got to get your money, but you also got to get your fans what they want. If you want to call yourself one of the greatest to ever do this, you have to compete. I Think bud doing the same thing right now bud trying to get his money like, you know, his window is doing doing So he's feeling a fight Canelo. I think I think he figured get like 70 80 million from this fight with Canelo with Bud Crawford It's gonna be a tough fight but but I got a rival, Bud. I think Canelo lost to Lara when they fought.
Starting point is 00:59:33 Y'all might not remember him, Israel Lara. I think, I just think Crawford might be a little too quick for Canelo, Canelo is flat-footed. And now he is. He's a flat-footed fighter. He's a good fighter, but he's flat-footed. I think in and out, I think Canelo, I mean, Crawford gonna beat him to the punch on majority. I just hope Canelo gonna catch him. Because Bud done been, you know, Bud done been dazed a couple of times. So how y'all feel about that chat? Bud don't lose
Starting point is 01:00:12 Somebody said bubba shit I let my girl do go on my chest man. What the fuck wrong with you dawg What? He on some diddy stuff. He on diddy. He say damn the P. He say he bringing doo doo to the room. Canelo just here. Man, bruh, this nigga said chick booboo on you. Bruh, god damn, bruh, you in some cra- You ain't start your OnlyFans. You in a different league, bruh.
Starting point is 01:00:40 You letting people booboo on you. That's some sick shit. Free Didgie. Oh man, y'all are gonna crave that. Y'all gonna be on the shade room with that free diggie shit. I don't understand some people, man. They get to a certain level in life and it don't even become freaky no more.
Starting point is 01:00:56 It become weird. Yeah. Like, what's up with everybody now? I'm gonna ask you this. Monofy the gorilla. Like the 100 men versus gorilla. Like. I seen that.
Starting point is 01:01:10 Who you got winning in this? Out of that. Gorilla? What? Come on. Actually I seen, it was like a video or something. And I forget, but it was a bunch of men in there with a gorilla and they down.
Starting point is 01:01:29 They look, they keep talking about going to the jungle. They can go right in the pen right now in jail. How this niggas in there ain't trying to, ain't whooping that gorilla in there. I know they got too much time on their hands, man. They said put a hundred mad woman in there gorilla Like a really might lose due to the dress is gonna be on the cuz oh my god It will be crazy
Starting point is 01:02:01 Man black women man our ass up. What's the difference between black women, man. They always ask us what's the difference between black women and other, any other race women. They all women at the end of the day. It just that black women, like for me, like you can say tell a black kid, man shut up man I'm talking. Man, they gonna say what the fuck they, y'all wanna say. You don't tell me what to do, you ain't my daddy. It could go left telling the black girl shut the fuck up. They be wanting to have niggas like me and I don't get it.
Starting point is 01:02:37 Times have changed, man. You tell her to shut the fuck up, she fucking call you a fuck nigga. She fucking get in your face and tell you everything. You know what I'm saying? Like, nah, white woman. You getting checked. Huh? You getting checked.
Starting point is 01:02:55 But that's what a lot of people need. What, to get checked? Yes. I mean, maybe some people do, but man, for the most part, man, I can see some chicks like really just out in public, get on their boyfriend ass, like literally. I ain't never seen a Chinese woman in person talk shit to their husband. I ain't never saw a boyfriend. I ain't never saw it.
Starting point is 01:03:24 I want to see what that would be like though like I wouldn't understand it. I had to pull out my phone And put it on the voice to understand what they saying. I want to hear some Chinese people going in Come on your stepdad stop it dog. Stop it Stop it Bruce Wayne what he do Our state I'm working man Her name is Savannah, man. You guys not took a name. This is Mrs. Vangor who joined joining me tonight. She's a Baltimore Ravens fan.
Starting point is 01:03:52 So let's let you know everything you need to know about her. She's a Baltimore Ravens fan. She's a big Lamar Jackson fan. We dive into the competitive world of streaming, how she's turning so-called niche into mainstream goal,
Starting point is 01:04:25 connecting audiences with stories that truly make them feel seen. What others dismiss as niche, we embrace as core. It's this idea that there are so many stories out there and if you can find a way to curate and help the right person discover the right content, the term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen. right person discover the right content. The term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen. Get a front row seat to where media, marketing, technology, entertainment, and sports collide.
Starting point is 01:04:53 And hear how leaders like Anjali are carving out space and shaking things up a bit in the most crowded of markets. Listen to Good Company on the iHeart radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Sometimes as dads, I think we're too hard on ourselves. We get down on ourselves on not being able to, you know, we're the providers, but we also have to learn to take care of ourselves. A wrap-away, you got to pray for, as well as for everybody else, but never forget yourself. Self-love made me a better dad because I realized my worth.
Starting point is 01:05:35 Never stop being a dad. That's dedication. Find out more at fatherhood.gov. Brought to you by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Ad Council. In the fall of 1986, Ronald Reagan found himself at the center of a massive scandal that looked like it might bring down his presidency. Did you make a mistake in sending arms to Tehran, sir? No. No one was let go. It became known as the Iran-Contra affair.
Starting point is 01:06:01 And I'm not taking any more questions. In just a second, I'm going to ask it. I'm Leon Nefock, co-creator of Slow Burn. In my podcast, Fiasco, Iran-Contra, you'll hear all the unbelievable details of a scandal that captivated the nation nearly 40 years ago, but which few of us still remember today. The things that happened were so bizarre and insane, I can't begin to tell you.
Starting point is 01:06:30 Please do. To hear the whole story, listen to Fiasco, Iran Contra on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. A lot of times the big economic forces we hear about on the news show up in our lives in small ways. Three or four days a week, I would buy two cups of banana pudding, but the price has gone up. So now I only buy one.
Starting point is 01:07:00 The demand curve in action. And that's just one of the things we'll be covering on everybody's business from Bloomberg Businessweek. I'm Max Chafkin. And I'm Stacey Vanek-Smith. Every Friday we will be diving into the biggest stories in business, taking a look at what's going on, why it matters and how it shows up in our everyday lives. With guests like Businessweek editor Brad Stone, sports reporter Randall Williams and consumer spending expert Amanda Mull will take you inside the boardrooms, the backrooms, even
Starting point is 01:07:29 the signal chats that make our economy tick. Hey, I want to learn about VeChain. I want to buy some blockchain or whatever it is that they're doing. Listen to Everybody's Business starting May 16th on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. How you feel right now, R&B, who you listening to right now? Like your go-to? Ooh, I was listening to Herb, honestly.
Starting point is 01:08:00 I've been working out a lot, so I've been listening to Herb, but she said R&B. I'm going to go SZA. I'm still on her album. SZA be jammin'. Uh, Kendrick or Drake? Drake, come on. A lot of questions are, like, silly to me. Like, why is that even a discussion?
Starting point is 01:08:16 It's not even a discussion, hun. Yeah, like, come on now. Drake over Kendrick? Absolutely. Like, them Drake fans gonna get you. I mean them Kendrick fans gonna get you now. That's fine. Do you see Anthony Edwards finishing his career out in Minnesota? Or do you see him moving around eventually? He's gonna move around. He's gonna be somewhere nice. He's gonna earn that. I feel like once you get to a certain level and you do so well in your career, you start moving to nicer cities. Even though Yana stayed with the Bucs for a long time, but he's like, all right, time for something new. time for something new. Yeah, no, I'm trying to see what kind of picture Ant-Man is.
Starting point is 01:09:05 Knowing him, knowing his style, he'll go back home to Atlanta. Just him. That's just, it's like, you know, it probably ain't have nothing to do with winning the championship if he get him one early. But I can see Ant-Man going back home to the Hawks. That will be, that will probably be equivalent to, don't get mad, chat. If Ant-Man went back home to the Hawks, they'd probably be equivalent to Michael Vic when he played with the Falcons.
Starting point is 01:09:32 Like, Ant-Man and Lando? He's gonna have even more kids, cause he's gonna be at home on the rug, you know? He ain't got no fucking time. He's gonna be going down. Do well. That's why he doesn't go back. I know, but things happen in Atlanta. Need somebody though.
Starting point is 01:09:56 Not a need that man for the city, for the culture, man, for the hoax to have somebody kind of like they had when they had Dominique Wilkins. Like I think that would be awesome if Ant-Man could get back to Atlanta while he's still in his prime and eventually bring a ring to the Atlanta Hawks. I mean, I'm knowing it's a long stretch, but I guess my way of thinking, because like I say, if young us end up with the Spurs, that's gonna shift. It's gonna be a shift, a major shift. And they just say, for say, Memphis can't keep Jaiwick, and he end up with the Lakers.
Starting point is 01:10:38 Jaiwick with Luca Dunge. What do they look like? I can't wait to see how the Lakers are going to be, actually. We don't know who's going to be there though. That's the whole thing. You got to stay down until you come up. Yeah, I mean. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:10:55 Maybe Yannis. Hey, I like the way you sound on there though. Yannis with the Lakers. Like, they would, you think they hate the Lakers now Yungis, LeBron and Luka. I can't even say NBA finals because we have to have a sugar like what I talk a lot of shit about the Lakers this and that but I know what it takes to win you gotta have gotta have some sugars over you gotta have some people get some rebounds. You got to have a team effort. That's what the New York Knicks doing right now. They're a team. Yes, Boston a better team, but the Knicks is playing like a team. Kind
Starting point is 01:11:34 goes with your, the Cavs, they are not a playoff team scenario. And the Knicks are just, man, they playing fabulous ball. They got a clutch player in Bronson and Bridges. Like fourth quarter, they getting to it. Like they locking in, they communicating, their hands is out for loose steals and they ain't turning the ball over. That's the thing in these finals. I can give the Knicks credit. They're not turning the ball over.
Starting point is 01:12:02 They are executing the way they're supposed to execute. And Boston is out. Nah, I hate. Jace Taggum got hurt tonight. Hopefully it's not against Achilles, but he's not looking too good. But that series is over. I said, oh. And like you say, somebody gotta go.
Starting point is 01:12:19 And it ain't gonna be Taggum. It's not gonna be Taggum. I think they moving in Jaylen Brown. Where did he go though? That's the thing. Do he go to the Rockets back with his old coach? Do he go down with Yadoka? Jaylen Brown, because they might be the missing piece
Starting point is 01:12:38 the Rockets need. So let's see how that works. Move around too. Katie may move around too. Katie might move around too. Katie, oh Katie definitely ain't gonna be good. Katie would be nice on the Rockets. Cheetah Productions, man.
Starting point is 01:12:55 Let me bake it, fam. Brown to the Rockets. Now y'all hear me say that. I'm saying it right now. Brown might end up with the Rockets. Now, while y'all tuning in, y'all gotta know this show is being presented by Prize Now Brown might end up with the Rockets. Now, while you're out to me, you got to know this show is being presented by prize picks. Going down low, my promo code trash right there with the two H's prize picks.
Starting point is 01:13:14 It's more or less on your favorite play over there. Like I told you, they do in the three pick flex five hours. You can do it up to five times. You can do it up to five times a day. You got until May 31st for your three pick flex, five dollar picks, pull them in. You have a chance to go into the championship game. They sent me to the Rockets and the Warriors game, core side, and y'all also have a chance to win and go to the championship game. Whether it be your Knicks or it be the Thunder playing one another in the finals or the championship.
Starting point is 01:13:54 But go holly prospect. If you can't watch my show sometimes and you only can listen, go to Apple Podcast, go to Spotify, type in the Bubba Dubb show and boom, in the mix. Now somebody in the chat asked me, in case y'all don't know, it's part of the show we do the Hell No, set me Samantha. Somebody asked me, but I'm going to ask you, would you rather jump out of a plane or fight Mike Tyson? What do you do?
Starting point is 01:14:29 I'm going to jump out of a plane. It's no way I'm getting in the ring with him. No way? No way. So you think you got a better chance of jumping out of an airplane? Yeah, like skydiving? No, no, no. Ain't no parachuting or nothing.
Starting point is 01:14:48 Oh, no, I'm getting an arena. I thought it would be an air shoot. No parachute. Oh, I'm getting an arena. I'm playing nothing but defense. I mean the way he looked against Jake Paul, you got a chance. I got a chance. You got a chance.
Starting point is 01:15:03 I mean. I got a chance. Yeah, the chance. You got a chance, I mean. I got a chance. Yeah, the way his legs was looking, you right, I do got a chance. Fat form right, stop it man, stop it. Damn, the Skull 102, 85, mental soul go up, look like they're about to go up three one. Rudy Goldberg at the line right now, man.
Starting point is 01:15:23 Damn Golden State. Someone say aloe or lululemon. I'm going Nike. They say what? They're asking. Oh. Aloe or lululemon. Oh, lululemon. A lulu.
Starting point is 01:15:35 I forgot lulu. Lulu. I went to Lulu one time, man. My friend, I never went in there ever. High as a motherfucker. I bought a sweatsuit, it hold 180 books. Yes. That's cheap for a sweatsuit. For a sweat like a motherfucker. I bought a sweatsuit over 180 bucks. Yes For sweat like a hoodie. Yeah, the pants to go with is 180 bucks and I bought some like $60 socks I'm like, bro. This shit is ridiculous. She better last forever
Starting point is 01:16:03 It'll last you for a long time. Yeah, I hope so. But they are taxing in there. I'm surprised you got it from 180. It should have been like 300. Yeah, I got it from 180. That's cool. Yeah. It was dope what they say.
Starting point is 01:16:19 Somebody say Mike Frank Thunderbird. Man, yo, yo, he, hell on the Thunderbird. You seen the new movie, Sinners yet? Everybody been talking about it. I seen it. Is it dope? It's amazing. Tell me there's messages you can get from it.
Starting point is 01:16:34 Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, because every time a black person or somebody go see a movie, it's the messages from me. It is. You man, there ain't no messages in that movie. It's true, it's really good. I'm not even a big movie person. I'm gonna go check it out and see what it's about.
Starting point is 01:16:48 But I don't know about the messages and stuff like that, man. So you believe if somebody sweep your feet, you gonna go to jail with a broom? Oh, OK. OK. No, it was a it was a real it was a deep movie. I'm gonna go check it out. I mean, it's making hella money, so it gotta be a good move. Hey, y'all seen it yet yet? Oh my God, I went to a theater.
Starting point is 01:17:15 It wasn't one black person in there. Oh, really? To see sinners. I was like, okay, this movie is big. Yeah, yeah. If they falling in like that, then you know it's big. Somebody say Turpin putting a 1,000 this year. Okay, we'll go. Overrated vampire movie. They say it's trash. It's not.
Starting point is 01:17:40 Sinners is a must see. Okay. Okay. Suicide Rebirth 9. Okay. I'm gonna go see it. I haven't seen it yet. It's Timberwolves must see. Okay. Okay. Suicide Rebirth Night. Okay. I'm gonna go see it. I haven't went see it yet. It's Timberwolves in 5. Okay. Beep beep stop it man. Somebody says hidden messages in there like you said as well. I'm gonna check it out. Like I ain't... It's really about your perspective. Check it out. It's really about your perspective.
Starting point is 01:18:06 The ones who's saying it's trash, so I got a VHS or a fire stick. Man, fire sticks still jumping out there. Yes. I gotta go see it, man. We ain't, you know, it's black written, it's black directed, so I'm gonna go support it for sure. I don't know, what you, we'll see, we'll see, we'll see on that, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:18:32 You see the Pacers closing this series out in five or Cavs gonna win one more? No, they might as well close it out. Just like the Lakers, I was happy they just closed that one out. They need to do the same thing over there. You really gonna throw it up in my face like that, the Lakers? Like the Lakers. I'm a LeBron.
Starting point is 01:18:52 I'm a LeBron fan. But come on now, gotta know when to let it go. You gotta know. So when you think he should retire? After this year, this upcoming season. So he retired will Brungie still be a Laker? Yes. He's in the door. He's not going anywhere. What do he move from the ninth man to the sixth man or seventh man? How you see that? Like where you see it going next year
Starting point is 01:19:26 in the rotation with the Lakers. I don't know what I could see this summer. I think a lot of people forget he had a heart problem too. I think a lot of people forget that like he really ain't really he getting back to where he should have been due to that heart situation that he had. People need to show them some grace. I mean, his dad is a bro, they ain't gonna do it, man, because they feel like he was given that position. So they're not gonna give him nothing because they feel like his dad is the reason why he's in the NBA. They feel like it's other players out there that should have been maybe drafted or had that position over him.
Starting point is 01:20:12 But I feel like he went to the G League, did what he did. They sold out more than they ever sold out. He balled. He started really showing his skills. But one thing I'm learning in life, once people have a certain perception about you, no matter what else you do, they're just gonna be that perception of Brunny.
Starting point is 01:20:35 And they feel like he can't bother them. And they can come out and get 45. They gonna say, well, look, the Rebs had something to do with it. Right. They're gonna always find something to say. But I have seen him play in the regular season with the Lakers. I just seen him play.
Starting point is 01:20:53 He still has to do some more development, I feel like. But he'll get there. I think that's the whole problem with everybody is, they're like, but you just said, like like he just not ready yet, but he's there And yes, everything his dad is LeBron. They're gonna put him in position trainers Health-wise nutrition Mentally, yes, they stay there Yeah, yeah mentally I think he will though eventually I do
Starting point is 01:21:22 I think he will though eventually. I do. Like you say man, no privacy. He can't do nothing. Wherever he goes is going to be cameras. That's why I kind of applaud LeBron living in this era that he lived in. He's grown up in times now with the cell phone and social media. And for him to be doing this this long and Nothing popped up yet. Nothing You know, I think that's and brother he got a great PR team or Whatever it is, but did not have a blemish Like a scandal. Yeah, that's why it's a scandal yet. That's why players don't want to step in that spotlight.
Starting point is 01:22:06 Because it's a lot more that goes into it. It does. But I also hate too as a world when we look at these players or these celebrities, we hold them to like be trying to put them on a pedestal. Like they human beings like we are. They like... Like God's standard, right? Yeah, like they like what we like, though.
Starting point is 01:22:31 And like, they like, oh, my God, like when Tiger Woods got caught doing all that, all you're doing is get some ass and Nike and everybody dropped him like I don't understand. He was married. I get it. But they made it like ass was a bad thing. And it made it like he was going to jail for getting ass like they was all I remember it's like Tiger Woods was a bad guy because he was getting ass and it's like y'all reason why he was getting ass like y'all made him who he is Tiger I'm not knocking nobody who played golf because you got to have talent
Starting point is 01:23:05 skills. But it's golf. And y'all 24-7 on ESPN, every news outlet, Tiger Woods is going to sex derby. Get the fuck out of here. Y'all know I'm not lying. They tried to kill Tiger Woods behind getting ass. It wasn't no underage ass. It wasn't none of that. It was just ass in America. See, that's why you gotta pay attention to what you see and what you hear sometimes, because it was only ass. Tiger, has never been the same. Before the scandal, he won every goddamn time he had that golfer. Soon as they say he got caught, trash.
Starting point is 01:23:56 He gonna have 15 back surgeries, 32 Achilles tendon surgeries. I'm lying, y'all, he ain't been the same. What about Paul Pierce? As a basketball player? Or what? What about Paul Pierce? What he was doing with butt.
Starting point is 01:24:14 I mean, he's having his business. I mean, that's what he's supposed to do. I mean, that's the American way. I like Paul Pierce the American way I mean I like power through this by the way too you know you had this stripper juice on on live TV and no one thing about them wife oh they ain't gonna have this shit on national TV y'all get that nigga ass off of it and they did and it is Disney on you got to respect it they don't they don't Disney on play that right to respect it. They don't Disney don't play that.
Starting point is 01:24:45 Like not gonna make time. And I don't think, I don't think Paul would just realize what was going on. I think you just having fun live and you can't do all that. Fan on. He's going crazy. I think he was too excited to do himself. He couldn't believe it. He couldn't believe it.
Starting point is 01:25:13 No, but they're not going for that. But surprisingly, the NBA has been a lot more stricter. Man, the NBA... Like, you can't do nothing. Yeah, because they got all these sponsors now. They got... Yeah, you can't nothing yeah because they got all these sponsors now they get calibrate Because they got Coca-Cola giving them billions of dollars So it's a business at the end of the day. I know
Starting point is 01:25:40 You never know man Yeah, I know why they still got them in the gas it crazy You never know man. I don't even know why they still got them in the game. That shit crazy. Who? Jimmy Butler right now. They still got him in the game but they getting blew out. It's crazy. They're down 108, 89 right now. Six minutes left. They still got him in the game. They need to be just trying to rest them up for the next game. They need to get it. I guess this coffee ain't doing what for them. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:26:11 The karma got booked. I'm good, fam. I'm Michael Kassin, founder and CEO of 3C Ventures and your guide on Good Company, the podcast where I sit down with the boldest innovators shaping what's next. The paper ceiling. The limitations from degree screens to stereotypes that are holding back over 70 million stars. Workers skilled through alternative routes, rather than a bachelor's degree. It's time for skills to speak for themselves.
