Starting point is 00:00:00 I'm Jessica Edinger, CNBC. Wall Street opens Tuesday morning after a winning start to July trading in the start of the third quarter and the second half of the year, too. The Nasdaq closed Monday at a record high. On Monday, the Dow was up 50 points. The S&P 500 index was up 14 points. The Nasdaq soared up 146 points. The NASDAQ soared up 146 points. Companies who shares hit fresh all-time highs Monday include Hilton, JP Morgan, and Eli Lilly. You know, we had a strong start to the first half here with all the major averages up, but breadth was negative. So what else is new? I mean, it's a pickup of where
Starting point is 00:00:41 we were in the last month of the second quarter. But spokes Paul Hickey on CNBC. The Boston Celtics majority owner put the team up for sale just weeks after winning the NBA championship. The team was bought in 2002 for $360 million. A lot back then, but sports franchise valuations have soared. The Celtics could fetch a particularly high price. Cruise stocks struggled Monday as Hurricane Beryl brews in the Caribbean. It's a reminder of how climate change and severe weather can impact that industry. Carnival and Norwegian each down 5% Monday.
Starting point is 00:01:18 Royal Caribbean shares were down almost 2%. Dutch brewer Heineken, now the number one non-alcoholic beer brand in the U.S. If I call for pizza with my boys who are 19 and 21 and I'm driving, but I feel like a beer with my pizza, I'll have a Heineken 0.0. All cohorts are looking for another option, whether it be health and wellness, occasion-based. They want a quality, great tasting product that doesn't have alcohol. Heineken CEO Maggie Timoney on CNBC. Amazon has upped the bonus it's offering for the Prime Visa credit card ahead of the Prime Day sale later this month, July 16th and 17th, to try to bring
Starting point is 00:01:57 in more customers. New cardholders, upon approval, will instantly get a $200 Amazon gift card. It's only for Prime members. Chipotle celebrating USA athletes heading to the Olympics. Chipotle is going for the gold. The chain says it will wrap its burritos in gold foil for a limited time. To celebrate the Summer Olympic Games, you'll start to see the golden burritos. On July 25th, the opening ceremony of the Olympics is the following day. CNBC's Tyler Matheson.
