Starting point is 00:00:00 I'm Jessica Eddinger, CNBC, major averages all in the green out of the gate this morning. AMD leading the pack. The Dow is up 311 points, more than a half percent. It's on pace for its fourth winning day in a row today. The S&P 500 index up 21 points out of the gate this morning. The NASDAQ up 56 points. The Dow, by the way, notching a fresh record high today. AMD shares leading a bit of a tech trade this morning. A little comeback, CEO Lisa Sue telling CNBC that AI demand is insatiable. She sees 35% annual sales growth ahead. Computing is a limiting factor in how much people can adopt AI.
Starting point is 00:00:47 And you can see that in a number of different places. And so, yes, you have to invest ahead of the curve so that you can get the entire user base on there. But if you just take a look at the growth in users, not just at OpenAI, but across the entire AI ecosystem, we're seeing that growth, and we're seeing that growth because there is true productivity coming at the other end of it. And from that standpoint, you know, I think we are all, like I said, we're disciplined business people, but we see an incredible opportunity in front of us. Google suing the cybercriminal group behind the postal service and easy pass text fishing scams. The group is largely based in China. Mortgage demand from homebuyers
Starting point is 00:01:28 last week hit his highest since September, even with rising mortgage rates. The average rate on a 30-year fixed home loan is about 6.3% today, according to Mortgage News Daily. And some experts say it may be because sellers are dropping their prices.
