Starting point is 00:00:00 I'm Peter Shack now, CNBC. It's a thoroughly mixed stock market today in the follow-up to yesterday's Fed-fueled stock rally. The Dow Jones Industrial average is jumping 561 points to 48,619 and reaching a record high in today's trading. But the S&P 500, a quarter percent lower of 17 points, and the NASDAQ sliding 22 points, or 9 tenths of 1%. Much of the pressure that is on the stock market comes from Oracle, which is down 14% and is the worst performer in the S&P 500. Oracle's quarterly revenue missed estimates and sparked concerns about the software company's ability
Starting point is 00:00:40 to fulfill its more than $300 billion contract backlog. Walt Disney shares are up more than 1% after the company announced a deal to invest a billion dollars in OpenAI and license its copyrighted characters for use in OpenAI's SORA Video Software. But it also is significant because OpenAI is both

The credit card network operator was labeled a favorite name for 26 by analysts at Truist. Workers at Starbucks have expanded their month-long strike to 34 more cities, bringing the total to 130 cities and more
