Starting point is 00:04:16 the text for that understand exactly what what is what is what is doing
Starting point is 00:04:22 in English. So, Maria starts her email by telling Rory that she's missing him.
Starting point is 00:04:28 Te I've made and Rory has obviously been indulging in his favorite
Starting point is 00:04:33 pastime because she asks him how this morning dive was. Presumably the sea temperature in Scotland is a little lower than in Majorca, where, according to Maria, it's sunny and there's a pleasant breeze this morning. Maria goes on to say that she's been on the private beach of her Aunt Consuelos Hotel.
Starting point is 00:04:51 It's located in Calvia. If Rory's favourite pastime is diving, then one of the things Maria likes doing most is sunbathing. Since her aunt has told her that she's never seen her looking so pale after her year in Scotland, she feels she has to top up her tanning. She feels she has to top up her Tano bit. Consuelo also thinks that Maria is looking radiant, radiant, as a result of being happy with her new boyfriend Rory. This has given Maria an idea. She suggests to Rory that he should come and work in Consuelo's hotel for the summer. This way, he'll be able to save some money for his doctorate and be with her at the same time. Maria explains that Consuelo's husband died six months ago and that she has found things very difficult. She also finds daily life.
Starting point is 00:05:36 life and the hotel on her own, quite a challenge. There's lots to do and she needs someone trustworthy to give her a hand. Necessita a alguien de confianza that Leche a mano. Maria suggests that Rory could help to look after guests. He would have his own room with breakfast, lunch and dinner included, and a decent wage thrown in. She's talked things over with Consuelo and confirms that Rory would also have Mondays and Tuesdays off. and with a beach, diving, and Maria close by, what more could he ask for?
Starting point is 00:06:10 Maria is convinced that Rory would get on well with Consuelo. She asks him to think about this offer. She is working as a lifeguard on the beach four mornings per week, so in their time off they'd be able to get to know the island. She really wants him to meet her family and friends, and she's really looking forward to seeing him. Tengo much ganas de verte. And we will hear what happens in the night.
