Welcome to Coffee Break Spanish.
Hello, I'm Annabelle, and I'm
excited to back to pass me for here.
And today, I would like to talk about music.
Iscuchas music in Spanish?
What type of music you like?
A me, me are quite genders,
and,
and,
I like
to
listen
music
in
idiomas
different.
I like
to listen
to music
in different
languages,
but I'm
going to
talk only about
Spanish
music in
this episode.
In fact,
I'm bringing
you a
text about
a Mexican
singer that
I like a
lot.
This way,
you can
practice some
listening
comprehension
and get
some new
recommendations.
I understand
that
listening
comprehension
activities can be tricky.
And that's why I organize this episode a little bit differently.
I'm going to start with some key words, key vocabulary that you're going to find in
the text that I will read.
After going through these keywords, I'm going to tell you three questions that I
will ask later.
This way, you know what information you should listen out for, and that way it will be
a little bit easier.
After telling you the three points that you should be focusing on, I'll read the text twice.
After reading the text those two times, I'll ask you again these three questions and then you can answer.
After that, I'll give you the answers.
Very well, then, all this?
Let's start with some key vocabulary you'll hear.
Destacada is an adjective that means important.
Destacada.
Then we have a leiba.
And this is the name of a Spanish artist,
Leiba.
We also have a lanzado.
This is the perfect tense of the verb,
lanzar.
And when it's related to music,
it means has released,
so it comes from the verb to release.
A Lanzado.
We will also hear
Exitos
Como solista.
So,
Exitos is a masculine
and plural noun
that means hates.
And then we have
Como Solista,
which in this case
means solo.
So these
Exitos
Como Solista
means solo hits.
We'll also
hear
Le A
Permitido.
This is from the verb
Permitir, and it means it has allowed here.
Le ha permittido.
And the last word in our vocabulary list is
Consolidandose.
This comes from the verb Consolidar.
So consolidandose means consolidating herself.
So consolidatear means to consolidate.
Now the questions are,
Ake's dedica Jimena?
What does Jimena do for a living?
The point two is,
mention at least two artists
with whom she has collaborated with.
And the point three is,
Numbra at least one of his
Exits'E as Solista
Name at least one of her solo hits.
You can answer these questions in Spanish or English.
Now, we'll listen to the text.

Feel free to give your answer either in English or in Spanish.
Perfect.
The first point or the first question is,
A what does Jimena do for a living?
Jimena is cantante and actress.
Jimena is a singer and an actress.
The second point was,
mention a at least two artists with whom she has collaborated with.
Jimena has collaborated with Jason M. Rass, Miguel Bosse, and Leibah.
So she has collaborated with three different artists.
Jimena has collaborated with Jason M. Rass, Miguel Bose and Leibah.
The third point, and our last point, was
Nombra, at least, one of his exits
as a list, name at least one of her solo hits.
Of course, I'm going to give you all of them,
all those that were mentioned.
Sus exitos como solista are
mediocre,
no todo lo putes dar,
and cobarre.
Her solo hits are three.
Mediocre, mediocre,
No,
you cannot give everything,
and coward.
Well,

that no has been
easy.
