Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, you guys welcome to a yet another episode of coffee combos podcast Good morning. Oh my god. I was so excited to be able to record this episode like I get excited to be able to do this on a weekly basis just because I think it's such a like cool job, but like also It's something that I just love doing but this week. I was like, I literally cannot wait to record because there has been so much that has happened since last week That I we just have to unload Listen to me. I love the clip sis
Starting point is 00:00:51 Yes I need you to understand something I There is no way in hell. I can make the shit up that happens to me. Okay, so You know Lindsay and I had already like kind of talked about oh, I can't wait to talk about this this and this on the podcast Right, so we're like, okay cool. We got the content we need like this is dope. We're gonna move forward, right? So last night. I don't think that we Really expected anything else to happen Well, I texted Lindsay. Let me actually see like what the actual text was because Like I just again like I just can't make it up. So I texted Lindsay and I said
Starting point is 00:01:34 Um I didn't even I don't I didn't even say anything. I just sent her Did I say did I just send you a picture of it? I'm looking right now to see what is oh, no, no, no, no, no, that's not okay I texted Lindsay and I said There's a bat in my living room. I said that yeah Oh, there's a bat in my living room 9 28 p.m. Are you listening 9 28 p.m. This motherfucker this fucking bat Like I thought that a piece of hair had fallen in front of my face, you know
Starting point is 00:02:09 Like so I like wasn't sure if what I was seeing was actually happening So I was on tiktok scrolling as one does and um I am like, oh my god. Did this did I just see something fly like is that a bird? I initially thought it was a bird First of all, I did not realize how small bats are until they open their wings and they're like, oh your wingspan is fucking 12 feet long got it, so um I don't you're laughing. It's not fucking funny I traumatized my three-year-old. Okay. I traumatized him because I the way that I reacted when I panicked and I realized what the fuck it was
Starting point is 00:02:48 Like he was only reacting based on my reaction So I'm like get in the guest room get in the guest room. Our guest room is on the main floor at this house So, um, they literally he literally thinks somebody's bombing the house at this point. Oh, absolutely Absolutely fucking wooly. So then I'm like I call my friend Natalie and I'm like Natalie. I don't know what to do like what I don't Like panicking and she was like, okay, we're on our way. We're on our way. So her and her friend come and um My other friend is at the house and he is trying to get it But he's struggling because at this point now it is hanging upside down in my four-year window. Okay. It was sleeping
Starting point is 00:03:26 Yeah, it was like fuck this place. Fuck this house. Fuck this woman. So Um, immediately start getting on google and I'm like, okay, what is going on? What do I do with the bats? Because I always learned that bats are blind. Blats Blats bats, um, can't see they can't hear whatever whatever and they're afraid of light. No, that's all false. I'm googling it It's like turn all the lights on close all the like bedroom doors hallway door stuff like that And then open the front doors because they're just trying if they're flying around They're just trying to find their way out and like I cannot bring myself like My friend is like trying to kill it. I'm like, do not kill this bat
Starting point is 00:04:01 So fast forward to Natalie and her friend coming over and they're now the two guys are like trying to like get them Get the bat out and I'm like, if you kill that bat, I will kill you like do not kill the bat So they're just trying to at this point because it's so far just like Get it to come down so that it can find its way out kind of like google said. Well, it doesn't it does the opposite It goes upstairs. Well, thankfully we closed all the The doors upstairs and it's just hanging upside down again off of Lincoln's door frame so Natalie's friend I get the Tupperware
Starting point is 00:04:34 And we like catch it in the box. It completely is unharmed. It's alive. I panic I am taking a video at this point of Natalie's friend getting it and I'm like just release it outside. So Let me just tell you I at this point we're calm down. We're starting to feel relieved But now I'm scared obviously if there's more so I have bat people coming to the house Which that's why we're late podcasting because Immediately called like bat people because I want to make sure that there's no more bats if they are they need to remove them humanely and you know patch up any, you know holes in the
Starting point is 00:05:05 In the attic or whatever. So oh my god. Is that where you think it came from? It had to of there's no other explanation because My bedroom is the only room that has attic above it. The rest of the bedrooms don't have attic above them and um So my friend actually Darcy texted me because I'm texting her like a play-by-play like kind of like with you And she said well in lighter news she texted me What bats are a sign of and it says bats are um bats often represent death in the sense of letting go of the old And bringing in the new they are symbols of transition of initiation and the start of a new beginning So that all being said like I said no harming in the making of the story or in the events that happened last night
Starting point is 00:05:49 Um, we put it outside released it whatever hope it's with its bat family and now I'm relieved But I will say that every time I feel something like this morning my jacket got like my hair got caught in my jacket And I'm like, oh my god a bat like ah bat like I'm just bats. I'm now traumatized by the fucking thing. So that's my story. Thank you for um coming to my my Ted talk Oh my god, the only thing I said when you sent that But to me was by kale by kale by kale like no support. No nothing. It was just by kale Like and then I was like researching. So the now I'm terrified because it's like If there's one there is probably more and if there's more there's probably bugs
Starting point is 00:06:33 So now when you go on when you google it'll probably like kale has bugs. Um, so let's not let's try to not let that happen Okay. Oh my gosh, that reminds me this story. I don't know what made me remind me of this but like Somebody who's listening has to be the same child that I was I used to think that when I got in the shower I would keep my eyeballs open when I got underneath the water like when I was rinsing out my hair or whatever because I am so When I tell you Next level afraid of snakes or spiders I'm terrified. So I would think that they were going to come through like the drains and
Starting point is 00:07:14 When I was a child I would keep my eyes open when I would like let the water Run down and I would just get soap in my eyes because I wanted to make sure that I didn't close my eyes and like a snake or a spider come up And like even when I sat on the toilet But it made me think of this because I saw a video of a snake coming out Of a toilet. Have you ever seen that? Um a snake came up through my cousin's shower while she was in the shower See, that's why I kept my eyes open my whole life and I still do my whole life No, that's a real thing and you would think that it wouldn't like how does that happen because one
Starting point is 00:07:49 How are they coming through the pipes and then two like it's going against the water current coming down? So it's like weird I've never I've never seen or heard of them coming out Come out out of a toilet, but I definitely have heard of them coming out of the shower drain I saw a video of a snake coming out of a toilet and I Literally shit myself. So I needed to get on the toilet um but seriously
Starting point is 00:08:13 Terrifying I'm so scared of stuff like that and then the only thing I could think of last night when you were sending me that I was like don't touch when I text you was like don't touch it because they're rabid Yeah, I was terrified that somebody in your house was going to get bit Well, so when we were like trying to get it out Um, we all put our hoods up because I've heard stories like nightmares of them getting caught in people's hair Oh my god So, um, we had our hoods up and like, you know, lux is absolutely terrified at this point But like he wants to see it at this point. Yeah, I keep saying at this point. Sorry. I don't mean to keep repeating myself
Starting point is 00:08:47 but um, so now he wants to see it and I am just like if this thing bites me and my friend was like you should put your dogs outside because You know, you don't want the dogs to get bit either and I guess Buddha was looking at it And so my friend was like, I was just afraid that Buddha was going to try to like pounce on it And then piss it off and like and I was googling and it said if you get bit by a bat You need to go to the emergency room immediately. You know, I was like remember that story we talked about that little six-year-old kid Yes, you're right And then the dad didn't take him to the ER
Starting point is 00:09:21 Yeah, that's why I'm literally so afraid of any Really any type Of animals other than like a cat or a dog and I'm also afraid of cats. So let's make that be clear um speaking of cats and dogs jackson went to go and see Santa like very last minute. I need to know how many people's kids got to see Santa this year. I know
Starting point is 00:09:47 Kale, you don't do it, but I'm sure there's tons of people that listen that do take their kids to do it But The lot like the list to be able to get on santa was basically filled up in july which is pretty normal for People who do santa, you know that it's pretty normal july is when they put out the list of like the spots and all of that And you have to book immediately and I normally always do But because of coronavirus I didn't because I was like, what's the point of me trying to get one of these appointments when we're probably not
Starting point is 00:10:18 Going to be able to go anyway so then It starts getting closer to christmas closer to christmas and everybody's still going and I keep seeing all these santa pictures surface and I'm like, okay Well, I can't be deadbeat mom that like doesn't take their kid to see santa So we keep checking and looking to see if there's appointments. So Finally we got an appointment. It was just like it was like one of those fluke things like we didn't know if we were gonna get it or whatever so
Starting point is 00:10:45 Then we did so we did our tradition We always go and eat pizza and then go see santa and it was you know, it was great Well, jackson asked the little santa's helper he's like I am going to ask santa for a chocolate lab puppy Oh This is a new revelation. I didn't even know he knew what labs were so I was like Oh a chocolate lab puppy a like, um
Starting point is 00:11:13 okay, so then The helper bless her heart. She was like, I don't think santa brings live animals and whoever that angel on earth is if she even knew who I was Recognized us anything. Thank you and listen to the podcast. Thank you lady because Thank you lady He completely got off the fact of a chocolate lab puppy when he realized that santa was not bringing live animals So I'm so thankful because that would have been so disappointing on christmas morning if there wasn't a real chocolate lab puppy
Starting point is 00:11:48 Waiting under our tree But it was so different like to see the experience with him this year with coronavirus with like the six feet and Just the way that everything looked I posted one of the pictures on my instagram story But I'll have to send more and I'll post a couple of the pictures on the instagram coffee convas podcast instagram story this week when we released the episode because They were so cute But also looked so different than anything that we have ever done. So I want to hear other people's santa
Starting point is 00:12:22 story experiences with The difference in coronavirus because so many people have told me so many different things that I was like I don't know if I want to like go see santa this year and jackson might be like weirded out if he's got One of those like face shields on because a lot of the santas were wearing the face shields and stuff to protect themselves I mean because they're they're older men, you know, and so yeah I'm like, oh my gosh, but yeah, it was a it was a fun experience and then On another note this week. Do you want me to tell you what happened to me yesterday?
Starting point is 00:12:56 Oh god. Yeah okay, so I go to my eyelash appointment And I know that you had been wearing eyelash extensions for a while, but I've been off lash extensions for quite some time um, and I just do the lash lift intent which If you're looking for something to do outside of eyelash extensions that's less maintenance definitely do
Starting point is 00:13:22 The eyelash lift intent. I love it so much more than lash extensions. You can actually wash your face Mascara goes on so much better. It's so great. So anyway, go to my appointment Do my eyebrow waxing everything? And I also know you do threading and I do waxing but then I leave and I'm like, okay. Well, I'm gonna go to quick trip and I'm gonna get gas and I'm gonna go in and get a drink so I'm sitting there taking my gas pump off and I see these people having a conversation a couple pumps over from me and then I see
Starting point is 00:13:56 You know traffic coming in and out and I Because of this kidnapping story I'm watching all of my surroundings better, you know So I'm like got my head on a swivel and I'm looking around Well, I see this woman in a white corolla like backing out from the front of the store like she must it She wasn't like at a pump. She was parked at the store and so I see this older man walking behind her car
Starting point is 00:14:21 She literally puts her car this woman puts her car in reverse and runs him over What? You did text me this and I don't think I responded. Oh my god She runs him over. Well, I'm glad you didn't respond because I wasn't gonna tell you what happened anyway Well, thanks, I just text you in the moment I was like wait a man just got hit at the gas station but like it This really happened and I don't know how I am witness to these types of things in my life
Starting point is 00:14:50 I have no idea. I also question it But anyway, he's on the ground some other people run and like try to help him I kind of like back off get my mask Kind of wait to see how much they're gonna help this man if they're gonna call 911 whatever I'm assessing the situation and then the woman gets out of her car Well, she still had her reverse lights on for quite some time And I was like, okay, is she gonna keep going like is she gonna get out like what is going on? So
Starting point is 00:15:24 The little man he gets up. He gets help from these other people I tell him he needs to come inside quick trips gonna make a report and you know all these things So he comes inside with me and I ask him I say sir Like do you think that you hit your head or anything? And he said that he didn't know if he did or not and I'm this is A very elderly man. So it was like, oh my gosh So then I asked him what his birthday was and he told me like august whatever of 1938 and then
Starting point is 00:15:55 So he's like 82 years old and then I asked him where he lived and he told me and it's like a decent distance from the gas station We were so it was like, I think that you definitely need to are you married or do you have a girlfriend or you know, whatever? And he said yeah about six of them and I was like I Yeah, no really Yeah But then he was like smiling and grinning and I was like, oh my gosh This man is such a trooper
Starting point is 00:16:24 So then I my natural reaction was to take him seriously and I was like, okay Well, can you call the one that? Would take this seriously and be responsible to come and help you because I don't think it's safe for you to get back in your car And drive that distance if you've possibly hit your head So then Fire department gets there police get there ambulance gets there and they say they've got it under control So, you know, I'm good to leave and I asked him if you know He was okay
Starting point is 00:16:53 And I was gonna leave and he was in good care and all this well then I see the lady that freaking hits him And she comes in like flailing her arms and she's like is somebody gonna talk to me I was the person that hit him I think I know what happened and I'm thinking to myself. No, I don't think you know what happened because if you knew What was going on you actually wouldn't have hit him. So I'm pretty sure you don't know what's going on so then I asked her if she's okay and everything And then all of a sudden
Starting point is 00:17:24 She says, oh well, well, you know, some people do this to just get money Um, he's old. What do you mean? Okay, so I probably shouldn't have said this but I said, excuse me, ma'am This gentleman is 82 years old. I'm pretty sure he didn't purposefully walk behind your corolla To get hit by you That's what I'm saying. He's old. He's not Trust me that man did not get hit by a car by choice. He's 82 Right, however old you said he is
Starting point is 00:18:01 right And then an asshole. What a freaking asshole. That's exactly what I thought and I'm like, okay first off We have established who the grin the real grinch is um I was so confused. I was just like, oh my gosh, you're blaming this 82 year old man as if he was walking now Don't get me wrong. I do know that people do do stuff like that and I get that but also Assess the situation lady and realize this man is 82 freaking years old and he doesn't even know what's going on
Starting point is 00:18:34 like he had no idea your car was moving and in fact if we're gonna say, you know Somebody needs to get checked out. Maybe your brain needs to get checked out because of the things that you're saying I mean, she was such a grinch and it made me so mad and just like compassion people like You did something wrong. I'm glad he was okay. You hit this man and and then
Starting point is 00:18:58 You're gonna hit somebody and then you're gonna say, oh, well, you know, it's like me side swiping that teenager That was that teenager swallow was absolutely by fault. You know, it's like I'm not gonna go blame in teenagers for my side swipes like come on Oh my god, you know what I do I will say like And it's happened twice to me in the past couple weeks is like when people wear dark clothing at night Oh, and they're walking in the road like that's happened twice and I'm Like luckily it was Completely my like my head is on a swivel always looking because like I just you know, I I wear my glasses and all that but like I
Starting point is 00:19:39 That drives me nuts and to me It was like if you're wearing all black and you're walking in the road and you don't have any type of anything on You're kind of no, let me not say that I was gonna say you're asking me to get hit But you know, I don't want to be crucified for saying that so I take that back Take it back. No, listen I'm the type of person that if I was walking at night or We were out and it was like dusk I would be the type of person that would pull reflector jackets out of my car to be like
Starting point is 00:20:06 Oh, we need to put these on because it's dark time outside, you know, and we don't want anybody hitting us Um, but the same thing with like when you're driving in the car and there's bikes on the side of the road And they're like on a main road. Will and I get so upset because I'm like There's all of these other places, especially in communities like That have sidewalks and stuff. It's like you're on you're on the main road. You're actually like not on the shoulder of the road you are Driving your bike where cars are flying up and down the road People are trying to go around you. I just don't know that if I was a biker that I would feel 100% safe
Starting point is 00:20:48 Being on the road like that and then I don't know. I'm just like geez like people just need to to wake up realize that like There's dangerous things in this world and people need to be like more Very cautious, um with the with the way that the world is today Okay, really quickly now that Lincoln is done with football I want to talk about what I used to keep his uniform and his practice pants super clean for football Um, I used oxy clean and I know that right now with the holidays

Starting point is 00:22:49 c l e a n dot com Speaking on that We covered the michaels Almost abduction last week we covered that prior to The police department doing any investigation that was
Starting point is 00:23:16 Covered when the videos of her posting these videos on instagram were Just posted they had just been removed the day that we covered it And things started kind of like unfolding the buzzfeed article came out. I think like Maybe 12 hours after our episode released and I am just literally I don't even know what to think about this story
Starting point is 00:23:47 I I was very very very bothered. I actually had me too. Um something my friend vince texted me about Somebody essentially covering the story and like all the things that followed her instagram tale of what happened um, and He was like, you know, look look at this or whatever. So I immediately forwarded it to lindsay and I just I here's my thing right like she's a youtuber. No or some type of like She go all the articles are calling her a mommy blogger. So okay, so she's a mommy blogger. She has some type of Um popularity, you know online or whatever. So she tells this story
Starting point is 00:24:29 In just based on my tv experience and being in the public eye Like you have to know that people are going to pick apart every single detail that you say You have to know that As a quote-unquote public figure or mommy blogger or whatever your story is going to get picked to shreds So why even lie like if you're gonna tell a story, you might as well tell the whole fucking story and it better Be nothing but the truth because the court of public opinion will rip you apart But the fact that her story didn't even match the police report and furthermore. I read um several different
Starting point is 00:25:03 um articles about how That couple that she is saying tried to kidnap her child. They came forward on their own Yeah, they came forward On their own and there's been so many different things like people sending me messages to saying that in the community It's like people who live in the community that she lives in That have sent me messages saying that she's being accused of racially profiling and like a plethora of things so So I'm so uncomfortable
Starting point is 00:25:35 By all of this. I am distraught that a mother That knows how serious um Kidnapping abductions um Child safety all of those things are and to
Starting point is 00:25:54 Make something up like this to gain A following to gain a bigger um Audience to be you know more popular to To have a story to tell so that people can get behind you But none of it be true and it be so serious like this, right? I you're eating. Yeah. Yeah, like I am
Starting point is 00:26:22 Actually furious that someone would just make something up like this for the sake of making it up And what's baffling to me is you're going to file a police report and you'd like For her not to think about the fact that the store would have cameras the parking lot probably has cameras There's going to be other onlookers Um No witness came forward cooperating her story whatsoever so
Starting point is 00:26:53 I am just Distraught over the fact that anyone would do something like this to gain a following I mean, I think When I saw her page And this was very early on in this story. She had like 6,000 followers When I looked after she had removed the video She had 80,000 followers You're lying
Starting point is 00:27:18 No, like this is legitimate. This was with my own eyes. Like I saw this so So someone had sent me The the video in dm like the two-part video and that's when I initially went to go and look so it was very early on and it Didn't have a ton of views when I had viewed it but then She gained that many followers over this story because it literally went viral Okay, so it's crazy because I just like I said about your your story is going to be picked apart like
Starting point is 00:27:53 What? People that do things like this like can you just Do an ugly dance and put it on tiktok if you want to go viral like I don't I guess like you're wanting to go viral for all the wrong reasons. I don't I truly do not understand well, and I think that You and I have talked about this privately that people will really do Anything for clout
Starting point is 00:28:17 And you've experienced that. I've experienced that to a degree In this situation It proves that nothing is off-limits when it comes to People wanting to Be famous on social media Yeah, yeah, you are right about that. You know, and it's yeah, it's very scary It's very scary. I wanted to read um for the people who um
Starting point is 00:28:49 Haven't followed the story as closely as we have there was a good recap from from the local news of where this happened It says on thursday police said that there was no evidence to support the mommy blogger And it says that the police released the update On thursday at 9 p.m. Clearing the unidentified couple of any wrongdoing and stating to date the investigation has produced No evidence or witnesses cooperating the account provided by the reporting party Evidence gathered has served to support the account provided by the couple from the store as you were saying Um, she posted the two videos about the incident on instagram Which quickly went viral gathering more than four million views before they were taken down
Starting point is 00:29:36 And her story was picked up by the likes of buzzfeed and the daily mail Um, it says the morning of monday december 7th a woman came to the police department to report suspicious behavior from a man and a Woman concerning her children earlier in the parking lot of michael's craft store Um, she described the two people me and a woman following her into the store and following her around inside as she shopped The reporting party was pushing Her two younger children and a stroller and the reporting party said the couple made comments concerning the children's appearance as they walked behind her And followed her out to her car loitered suspiciously and then left when noticed by another individual nearby Officers searched the area where the reported incident occurred and based on what the reporting party described
Starting point is 00:30:19 It was determined that there was no crime that had taken place And the reporting party who described the couple said Um, she could identify them from a photograph. She said that she didn't want any arrest But only wanted to raise awareness for this suspicious behavior. Okay. Well right there to me If you're a mother and this has truly happened to you you want whoever did this to you To be arrested so that they don't do it to someone else facts. Yeah, I mean it wouldn't be a oh, I don't want any arrest Like that's not is that true Is that how you also feel
Starting point is 00:30:54 I would want them arrested if that's if that's truly what happened I'm sorry, but I want them arrested and fucking investigated me as well Because I'm thinking okay. Well if this is truly like what if it was like a child abduction ring or like people who Had taken a lot of children. You don't know You only know your experience of what has happened and if you you were truly at risk and your child was truly at risk You would want these people arrested Well, and and when things like that happen, um, even just like my bat story, right when something traumatic happens
Starting point is 00:31:30 Um, you kind of are on edge for several for a long time following that So like if I felt like somebody was targeting me for my children and this couple was, you know, basically scoping me out I'm gonna be on edge as if these people have now targeted me. They probably are following me home Like I'm gonna feel like that's not gonna go away anytime soon. So again, I would want them to be investigated for you know Whatever like for for all this suspicious. I can't even talk all this suspicious activity So that I kind of feel at ease about my children and bringing them home and taking them out in public and all of these things so like
Starting point is 00:32:09 She's an idiot. I just do you know, do you remember what her Instagram is? I mean, I would imagine it's deleted by now But at one point it wasn't deleted. But then when you go to it, it almost just looks like a blank account, right? Like all the posts have been deleted. Um, it just says no post and it's private. So like you can't You can't see anything. So Do you know what it was? I don't know what the name of her Thing what um, it was called motherhood essentials like at motherhood essentials motherhood I don't I think it was deleted. Oh motherhood
Starting point is 00:32:52 No, I think it was deleted. Um, there's a bunch of other ones that are like motherhood essential, um, and then like other accounts, but I don't think that they have I don't think she must have deleted it. Well, I wanted to let you know that the daughter of this couple has come forward and said that her parents have five children between them and two grandchildren and that her The man that was accused with the woman was her stepdad
Starting point is 00:33:24 And that he works in the community. He's a ups driver and she was just talking about how How horrified she was at the allegations against her parents and that um She's now accusing her of racially profiling like I said And was saying that this was not the first racist injustice to occur like in the community and She was just like grateful for the police doing their job The sad thing is is this story could have gone down way differently
Starting point is 00:34:01 And I just think it's very telling that when she filed the police report. She said that she you know wanted No one to be arrested and that she just wanted to gain, you know, gain awareness like that truly was her Goal she wanted to gain awareness. All right. She wanted to gain followers. That's really what it was about, right? And so I think now in the influencing World of people no one's going to accept her No, sure enough this so it's like, what did you really what did you really gain because you lost the Loyal followers that you had six thousand followers. You might as well have six thousand loyal followers
Starting point is 00:34:43 Then to try to have this big following Of people who now hate you for what you've done I mean and and to that point it's like Usually the one usually like the the influencers or People with a smaller following, you know Their following is going to believe what they're saying more than someone with like me with four million followers because For me, it just looks like oh, I'm posting an ad or I'm doing this So if her goal was to get a following so that she could do sponsorships and stuff like that
Starting point is 00:35:14 She was better off being a micro influencer because then she people would know that she's probably You know, she genuinely feels good about the products that she's using or that she's posting and stuff like that like people trust Those like those types of influencers. So I just don't understand that whole mentality And and to your point about like creating awareness or whatever Um, I saw two videos. I think it was last night about Moms who were create actually creating awareness on tiktok and basically Describing what you should do in the event of you know, your your child Losing your child, I guess like at a zoo or at a mall or you know, sometimes they you know, they get lost in the sauce
Starting point is 00:35:54 It's a big store and um, you know, you think that your child is with with your partner or you think, you know Your mom or whatever the case may be Um, and they were talking about what you should do talk loudly describe the child and then likely the whoever has your child If the mall is shut down the zoo is shut down It's going to drop your child because they don't want that type of attention. So if you're wanting to create awareness like that, I feel like That's more That's a better approach. Well, I agree and like telling people things that work
Starting point is 00:36:27 In the event that something does happen to your child that it is a technique You know, like the videos you sent me it's like the woman saying, okay, well, let's say for example that Your child gets lost at disney and you're walking around and you're yelling out loud, you know, describing your child. So then people Are also picking up on this and they're looking for This child that looks like this description and if someone has them, they're likely Not going to keep them because Everybody else is also looking for this child that you know meets this description. So
Starting point is 00:37:05 Right ways to actually these women out here on tiktok. They're doing this. It's actual ways to help in the event that something like that did happen not a completely fictitious made-up story Now these people that were accused of this are actually victims of A crime, you know, so I don't know. I would love to hear other people's Take on this story and you know, again, these are Our opinions and what we think, you know, and how we've read the story and I'm sure other people have Different takes and I just want people to be aware that this community that we have created is
Starting point is 00:37:48 For all of us to be able to, you know, share our opinions to learn to educate each other And I just would be interested to know like what other people's takes on this story And if other people have different takes because You know, I had a message from a girl who had actually Worked with this lady That did did this story did this kidnapping charade And her take was that
Starting point is 00:38:16 It was legitimate. So I'm like, okay. Well, I just don't see how how you see this and this is my opinion on it But I I'm open to hearing what other people What other people think Um However, in other news I know that you had a fiddle fig story to tell me and I want to confirm that mine is Dead, so no, it's not dead. So I had this amazing
Starting point is 00:38:47 Fiddle leaf fig tree, whatever they're called Um on the set of the reunion for the season that's airing right now I think the season finale is this week or next week, which means The reunion you'll be able to see the fiddle fig and how beautiful it was at the reunion. Um So It was beautiful and mtv was like, you know, we can't transfer this back to transport this back to wherever studio because You know covet and we're not going to be able to use it. So you might as well keep it So I was so fucking pumped because you guys know, I've been trying to like up my plant game
Starting point is 00:39:20 Keep my plants alive do that whole thing. So I was pumped, right and um, I moved and I was really excited to put my my tree in the house because it was so pretty and so big Um, and I noticed that you like it just wasn't doing well. I was like, well, what is going on? So I'm doing everything that I'm supposed to but I guess they just don't do well like they go dormant I guess like for certain periods of time Um, and then you basically just keep them and they're supposed to like re bloom or whatever Um, the following year, I guess, um, it said to continue to water it and even though the leaves are going to fall off Like it's fine
Starting point is 00:39:57 Um, but I just I don't know how because it's so big like literally so big and I'll post pictures of it. Um on thursday, but um I don't know how like where would I put a dead because it's not dead But like where would I just put like a tree like bare tree like where am I gonna put like sticks? Yeah, I'm like poking up. I relate six feet tall So it's like amazing and the leaves are so big. It's so it was so pretty but like they're literally dropping one by one Um, and I just like where am I supposed to put it and it says that they don't like the cold So it's not like I can go plant it outside for next year like they will it'll literally die in the bitter cold
Starting point is 00:40:35 So I don't know what to do about that. Let me tell you what happened And to mine so As we all know my fiddle fig saga I had her inside She wasn't doing well So it was like, you know, I'm gonna take her out because I had the issue with the gnats and I was like, I just got to take her outside And so I took her out and I just left her on my porch for a period of time while I trapped all the gnats in my house
Starting point is 00:41:02 that she caused and then I read all kinds of research about what causes the gnats and like how it's caused from over watering So obviously, you know, I drowned her and then She's just on my porch and every day I keep looking out at her or we would go outside and grill And I would see like another little sprig of green and I'm like, oh wow are those weeds growing in her or like What is that and wills like no, I think that she's coming back and so
Starting point is 00:41:34 So then Over time she came back and she started to be beautiful and I'm like, oh wow. She really likes my porch environment So then I forget about her being back there because I closed my blinds and we weren't going on the porch as often because it started getting cold I closed my blinds. Well one day I go out to the porch for something and I am reminded by her deadness that she's out there Wait, so she went back to dead
Starting point is 00:42:04 She died again And I think she died in the first like Really cold night that We had and now I feel so bad But all of her leaves are like very crunchy Like where they So they're on there still Yeah, but they're like very crunchy like very very crunchy
Starting point is 00:42:25 um I'm pretty sure she's really dead But now I'm thinking maybe I'll transport her to the garage And see if she comes back alive So my garage is freezing So I don't know where to put my like do I just keep the dead one in the house not the dead one The sleeping one the the hibernating one. Um, do we need to buy heaters for our plants? Like I don't know
Starting point is 00:42:52 What do we do? It sucks because like I don't know that I want to like it's one of the those things It's like if it's not going to just stay alive all year Like I don't know that I want to keep it because it's like what do you do with the one that is bare and has no leaves And doesn't really like what I don't want that in my living room in the corner when I have company You know what I mean like I just feel like that's weird So it's like what am I I'm going to move it around the house bring it in when it has leaves Put it somewhere unseen when it doesn't like I guess I just don't know
Starting point is 00:43:19 No, so basically what you're saying is you think that you really like the idea of having a really big fiddle fig You just might not be the type that's going to be able to go through All of the phases of life phases of life with it. So you need one that is probably um artificial Well, I have lots of artificial ones. I have Three artificial fiddle leaf figs I definitely need an artificial one as well because clearly I can't keep it alive I was so excited when it came back alive on my porch too. I was like wow like
Starting point is 00:43:52 I do all the things to help her inside my home try to create this comfortable environment like try to water her Try to do all this And then I put her on the porch neglect her And she thrives. Oh, that's like me in relationships. Yeah I'm really great in the neglectful ones. It's fine. Exactly. So anyway, um I'm moving on. I need to tell you I need to tell you one more thing that It's like I'm terrified today. Tell me when we get off the podcast. I'm having toe surgery You're not having toe surgery today. Listen, I'm taking a Xanax before my appointment because I
Starting point is 00:44:33 Am afraid of pain like I'm afraid of feeling physical pain So I when we are done podcasting. I'm going to go get ready. I'm going to take my My meds and I'm gonna go tell everyone how this came about because you can't just be like I'm having toe surgery and then So it's so funny because when I called to make the appointment. I was like, don't tell anyone Um, but here I am telling everyone I guess I'd rather it come from me than like a third party, you know, so kill nobody's gonna be posting pictures of your toe You never know they might ask if they can use it, you know on their website for reviews or something. I don't know. Um, So I don't get ingrown toenails
Starting point is 00:45:13 Like I know that some people are like more prone to them or whatever But like I haven't ever really had a real one in like a real way where it's hurting and stuff like that Like I just haven't had one. So I go get a pedicure. Um, I don't know what's going on with it I think maybe them digging at it in like not digging at it But like, you know how they like scoop the outside and like do all that with your toenails and stuff. Yeah. Yeah Um, so that happened and then like it started to like be sore or whatever. So I was like, what the hell is going on So then I go to Texas for Thanksgiving and my friend was like, oh, let me I'll just like I'll help you. It's fine. So I'm like my dumb ass is like, okay. Like help me
Starting point is 00:45:50 um It doesn't really do much but like long story short is like now a month later It is throbbing and there's some type of infection in it. So like they're either I don't it's not the toenail It's the skin around the toenail. So Lindsay was like, okay, send me a picture I'll tell you if it's an ingrown and I'm like, okay. She's like, no, that's not an ingrown That's like an infection. So it literally is like my feet are too nice to have To have my toenail removed. So like I'm actually when I go there, even though I'm going to be Medicated, I told my friend that's taking me because she has to drive. Um, obviously while I'm
Starting point is 00:46:27 On these meds, but I was like if they tell you that they're going to remove my toenail I said tell them to let me die because I am not having them remove my toenail like it's not a thing for me And just let the infection thrive because at this point It's drain it or or die kill Oh, like dead serious like I'm dead serious Okay. Well, you need to give me an update stat on what happens
Starting point is 00:46:59 To your toenail I know for a fact that it's an infection Um, I'm not posting a picture of this on the story either. So I have the picture of the toe Don't you dare post it? I'm not gonna post it, but it definitely looks like an infection Um, I mean, I'm no medical professional And I'm not gonna, you know, give you a diagnosis. I just I know it's an infection That's what it looks like from the from the pedicure. You think like just like digging around or what? Yeah, I think that that's probably what it's from. Um, they're probably going to take a sample
Starting point is 00:47:36 Is what I'm thinking and then maybe give you some type of medication to take to get rid of the infection But I guess we will see. Um, I'm not sure that I would be taking a Xanax to go and do this But you know to each their own if you feel like that's what you need to get through it then No, I literally will lose my shit. Like I No, I don't think that I could deal with like them sticking a needle in my toe Like I feel like the sticking a needle in like your arm to get blood work is slightly different than like a hard space in your toe
Starting point is 00:48:09 Like I just kill they would they would like Numb it first before they just like go doing crazy stuff. Like They're not cutting your toe off. Like if they cut it open, I'll be fine But just don't remove my toe. Don't even remove part of my toenail. Like let me die Well, now that we've discussed it everyone, um, I wanted to do some market research This week. So I need everybody to participate who's listening and I know how many people are listening So everyone needs to participate. Um, I want to know How many people we ask this question all the time, but seriously I need answers to this
Starting point is 00:48:51 How many people Really enjoy Starbucks. How many people really enjoy Dunkin Donuts? How many people that are listening go to local coffee shops and how many people Brew their own coffee at home I need All of those answers How will we Conduct this research Kale. I just wrote that down in my notebook. Like I just have been taking notes on like all the stuff
Starting point is 00:49:18 We're talking about I wrote that I'm wondering if we would do A question box or we would do Because we can't do a four-part poll like that's just like not a thing. Yeah, I think the the easiest way to do it would be You could do it on your twitter Um, but then we don't know if they're there if that's our listeners like that might just be Like your followers. Yeah, we need it. Like try it directly from our listeners. So I'm thinking I would say a question box would be the best bet. Maybe a question box on the coffee combos podcast instagram story
Starting point is 00:49:57 I don't really care if people are following me on instagram or following me on twitter that don't listen to the podcast Those aren't the people that I'm really concerned with. I want to know from Actual listeners who are listening to this. What is your routine? And are you a dark roast? Are you a medium roast? Are you a light roast? Um, and maybe why like why why do you choose to make your coffee at home versus? Going and getting it. Is it a convenience thing for you? Is it a price thing for you? What is too expensive for a coffee? What is like your?
Starting point is 00:50:38 Right price point for Purchasing a coffee. I guess per serving Um, so do you ever make coffee at home me? No, I don't ever make coffee at home and It's something that will does every single day. Like he Makes coffee at home every day, but then I always go and get it. So In the new year, I want to start making my own coffee at home because I feel like it would be more convenient to be able to do that and And just like I kind of want to try my hand at making it and just what I can come up with on my own and would I Like it better than you know, what I get because you and I have talked so many times about how
Starting point is 00:51:22 We break up with Duncan or you break up with Starbucks And then we get back together because it's like we go through a period of time where none of it's made right So then would it be more would I be more satisfied because I would have consistency by making it at home knowing that I'm making it And what I'm putting in it. So I mean, I always make coffee at home and then like if I need it I'll go out and get it again or if I like didn't have time to make it but um, also I just feel like The other thing is like when you are running around like you obviously can't unless you're making like three thermoses worth of coffee every day
Starting point is 00:51:56 It's like you you don't really have a choice, but to go out and get it So I feel like there's for me. It's just like a combination of making my own and then Starbucks when we're You know not in a toxic phase where we break up so Well, you guys have to play along and like I said, I know how many people listen So I'm gonna know how many people are really participating in my market research. So Thanks everybody in advance for doing it. Um, maybe that'll Be some incentive since I gave a thank you for people to actually do it. So anyway
Starting point is 00:52:32 Well, I'm gonna go and finish my Christmas shopping that I haven't completed. So there's that You're gonna go get your toenail taken off No, I'm not I'm not but I am gonna go prepare I don't know what everyone else is gonna be doing But I hope that you all have a very merry Christmas and I think we actually will talk to you guys on new year's day So I'm not gonna wish you guys a happy new year, but we'll chat with you guys next week I hope that everyone has a fantastic week and make sure that if you are not subscribed to the podcast
