Starting point is 00:00:00 Hi, everybody. Welcome to another episode of Can you hear me I can hear you good morning Good morning. I am okay. You might hear me chewing because when you joined I was you know what high chew is What do you know what high chew is? No, what is that? Oh, like like They're kind of like starbursts. Yes, and I'm I can't stop eating them. So anyways, um, how are you on this fine Monday? Yeah, oh on this fine Monday. I woke up bright and early I have a funny story over the past two days that I want to tell you that I've gone to sleep so early kill like It's almost borderline embarrassing which leads me to ask
Starting point is 00:00:54 You what you feel is like an acceptable normal bed time that you feel well rested But then I want to know from our listeners what time they go to bed and what time they get up Because I feel so good the past two days Went to bed at 9 30 the night before and was in bed by 10 asleep last night. I I go to sleep as soon as my kids put a bed So like when I'm tucking my kids to bed at 8 39 o'clock, I'm also getting in bed 9 times out of 10. I do not watch TV. Like I Sometimes I don't even have it on
Starting point is 00:01:31 I'm just so exhausted like I'm tired. So I think that I Had originally decided that I wasn't going to have a TV in my room However, I just like being in my room I don't know if you feel like this like once it's time for bedtime once I've showered and everything I just want to be in my bed And so I feel like to watch all the Netflix shows and like all of the stuff on streams I almost feel like it's necessary For work for me to have a TV in my room as much as I don't want one in here
Starting point is 00:02:08 But what other time would I be watching it? Right, right, right, right. I will say that while I didn't have my kids this weekend I watched I watched a lot of Netflix because I also put my dogs on the kennel Just to have like a break and have time to myself and I did watch a lot of Netflix but In bed by 9 doing my own thing Weekends without the kids. I'll watch TV because one else when I yeah Yeah, we can pull the the nighttime bedtime thing But then this is going to be a funny elf on the shelf like little blip
Starting point is 00:02:45 So if you have little ears that are listening probably like Pause this for two minutes or fast forward for two minutes and then start back But the past two nights because I fell asleep so early I didn't get to do elf on the shelf at night and so when I took the dog out at like four o'clock in the morning I was rushing around to do elf on the shelf and I had like my first what I would consider like full elf on the shelf Fail I got some candlesticks that were not being used and I put The elf on it as if it was like riding on the candlestick, but it literally looked like it's wiener like in the oh, no
Starting point is 00:03:32 Jackson was like mom Elfie Elfie's on the candlestick and I'm like oh my god When I looked at it in the morning time when it wasn't four o'clock in the morning and it was foggy I was like oh my god, like I have probably traumatized him at this point and then Last night the dog woke up at like five o'clock So I let her out and I was like shit. I have to do the elf on the shelf again So I just had some shoes left over from our trip like laying in the floor and I was like cool It's gonna be a shoe shoe train. So like I just put the elf in the shoe shoe train and called it a day I
Starting point is 00:04:10 Could never keep up with elf on the shelf, but I will tell you that the other day stopped by Javi's house to see Lincoln when we got back from our trip and and I went over there to drop something off yesterday and The elf was still in the same spot as Friday. Oh my god, so he didn't move it So I texted him last night like both after I saw that it was in the same spot and I said I Said hold on he like got us an attitude back. It was kind of funny. Um, where is it? Man, I got a search. Yeah, thank god for iPhones and like the little search thing where you can search like, you know, you have this conversation Okay, I said did you move the elf and he sent me a picture and circled it and said thank you for your concern and then
Starting point is 00:04:55 It wasn't creative. It was so stupid He put it in the cap like first it was hanging off the TV and then it was Now it's in a mug and I'm like, I literally texted him back and I'm like, Javi, you can do better And Javi in his mind. He's probably like, okay, Kale, you're not doing it at all. So like I told him to do what you showed me that you were gonna do to Jackson Oh I can't wait. I'm not saying what we're gonna do, but it's gonna be so funny. I can't wait. I'm not saying what we're gonna do But it's gonna be so funny. I would love to see people's elf on the shelf fails Because literally when I saw that and clear sight when I woke up and turned around the corner and just saw like Elphie
Starting point is 00:05:43 Sitting with this like large candlestick between his legs. I was like, okay. Yeah, like I really botched this elf job so Anyhow, I am so excited that we both watched the same Netflix show or Netflix And we didn't even talk about it. Yes. Okay. So we both watched this is a A spoiler alert. So if you guys have not watched Unforgivable on Netflix with Sandra Bullock, this is your time to again either fast forward or come back to this episode after you have watched it Unforgivable it was just kind of like on a whim because I really don't like I said, I don't want to TV a whole lot but
Starting point is 00:06:24 Um, I was like it was new and so I turned it on and when I tell you that I ugly cried so fucking hard. I Could not believe how hard I cried for this and it I didn't even really relate to the movie necessarily So I was just like It was just very different and expect the ending at all Well, so for those of you who have not watched and would be interested We both watched it on Netflix and it was about this woman named Ruth Who was released from prison after serving a sentence for a violent crime? and then she attempts to re-enter society and she
Starting point is 00:07:06 Basically is trying to put her life back together again in a world that refuses to forgive her past and There were just a ton of different themes. I felt like that we're going on On The movie alone that I feel would be relatable to so many different people Life after prison is one of those things not that probably a lot of people who are listening to this went to prison, but um
Starting point is 00:07:38 I think that Is something that is just not really talked about and how hard it is for people And you've talked about it a little bit about how the system is pretty messed up that You incarcerate folks and then expect them to be able to just live a normal life once they're released and I think this movie definitely speaks on how hard it is um to kind of get back in the fold of things and to create a normal
Starting point is 00:08:13 She was there for 20 years, right? She was in there for 20 years. Um And her like parole officer or um probation. I'm not sure I I feel like he called her parolee That's my parolee. So I think that he was her parole officer um, he told her how hard it was going to be and that she won she cannot not First of all as a felon you're already kind of limited in your jobs, right? But then on top of it as a felon you cannot
Starting point is 00:08:43 Be friends with other felons at least for her during this short like I would think short period like while she's on parole She can't be friend other felons. So But think about the fact that her jobs are limited So when other felons get out of prison their jobs are also probably Slim pickings as well and they're not allowed to they're not supposed to be friends. So that's part of it and then explaining what you did You know what I mean? If you have to be real and upfront you have to Understand that people might not want to hire you or whatever that looks like and so she was already going through it
Starting point is 00:09:18 But the ending had me fucked up all sort to fucked up well, so other themes that I picked up on in the movie was just like how she was really Trying to like this redemption and no matter what
Starting point is 00:09:41 What she did it wasn't it wasn't a situation that she was going to be able to really recover from um, and then the family bonds was something and I think that probably more More people would relate to this even in situations of like adoption um There was a lot of things that I felt at first when I started watching the movie. I thought that the little girl was her daughter I also did and I was I knew that there was more to the story
Starting point is 00:10:14 I just didn't know what the story was like I thought okay. There's a reason why This young woman is in a house with this little girl. There's a reason why they're being um Like evicted again, I guess or like the house was being foreclosed on there was more to the story I just didn't know what it was And so then when you get to the end of it, you're just like oh wow But I wish they would have ended it a little bit differently like I feel like ending it with a hug. It's just not And also the the fight between the adoptive parents and um
Starting point is 00:10:49 Um not katie. What is her name Ruth? Um Ruth yes, I I think that that could have been like a little bit better Because I feel like as an adoptive set of parents like well, let me not speak on that because I feel like I get ahead of myself And I say well, this is what I would do. Um They didn't even give her nobody throughout this entire movie gave her a chance to explain herself But even I guess when she could explain herself. What was she gonna do blame?
Starting point is 00:11:23 Another person for what she did well The thing is is I think what a lot of people did not pick up on was that Ruth was trying to protect her little sister kathryn. Yeah the entire time and so So Catherine was actually the one who shot the officer and Ruth Was the one that was covering for her and so
Starting point is 00:11:54 I kept Feeling like if I was in that situation I probably would have done the same thing, but then I was thinking okay. Is this realistic like Would would the little girl have been charged if If She shot the officer, you know what I'm saying like was she old enough would she have gone to like juvenile? How old was she she was five?
Starting point is 00:12:21 Remember when she's talking to the lawyer's wife and she's like she was only five years old Yeah, yeah five And so I just think The whole movie it's it's a movie that I think that anyone who Wants to be intrigued or Feel like you have nothing to do and you want a good watch. I would highly recommend it I was a bit disappointed though that it actually did not get good
Starting point is 00:12:52 reviews I know I saw that it didn't have good review. I was seven out of ten on imdb and 40 It was a 40 percent on rotten tomatoes and a 41 percent on metacritic. So It's not really great reviews. I love anything with sander bullock in it though. I do too. I don't care. I love her so Are you guys we're gonna take a quick break to talk about one of our partners ring alarm security system And I know that we've chatted about them a couple of times this holiday season But I cannot tell you guys enough that I think this would be such a great gift

Starting point is 00:14:58 That's ring.com forward slash combos If you guys hear a psychopath, it's georgia in the background Oh, we don't hear Acting crazy. She has been so bad. I think she's going through a growth spurt and when I tell you she has just been So bad. It's like a child. I don't know if anyone's ever so I feel like that's to be expected But were your puppies like that? Um, my one puppy right now is still like that and he is about to be one Does he just disobey all the time? He's an asshole and I love him, but he's an asshole
Starting point is 00:15:46 She wants to be with me 24 seven and like Even when Jackson sometimes if we'll be snuggling in the bed in the morning on a weekend or something Um, Jackson will come and try to get in the bed with us and she is definitely like this is my mom You need to scoot over. Um, don't be rubbing up on her. She's very much like that Oh, that's kind of sweet though. Um, I also watched on netflix. I watched bruise with Halle Berry Was it good? Um, I liked it, but I personally love fighting movies. Like that's just like my thing Um, and hers was also kind of like down on her luck
Starting point is 00:16:27 um I Don't understand like the whole mom giving child up and just kind of like leaving with the father. Yeah Halle Berry plays this fighting character where she's known as Jackie justice and she is you know, an undefeated champion She goes to fight and she's not ready for it. She loses and then from that point forward She's kind of down on her luck, but prior to all of that she she had a child and left the child with the father and like Doesn't see him again until the child shows up on her doorstep
Starting point is 00:16:59 And then she has like this like lesbian affair with her one coach And but then she said she's not ready for a relationship and then she fights again and she loses it was It was good. It was really good. I think Halle Berry like killed the role like she did such a good job with the role um Worth watching. Um, I also watched coming out colton. Did you see have you heard of that? Is that Is that colton from the bachelor? Yes Um, I heard about it, but I have not seen it. I did just see news that
Starting point is 00:17:32 his ex fiance Felt kind of like retraumatized from the whole thing Again by that coming out. Um, but that's all I've seen about it. Haven't heard any Anything about the show or anything? Is it a show a docu series? What is it? It's a docu series about his um his life and And he was on the bachelor. He was in the nfl and then coming out as gay Um, and prior to that, you know, his last relationship was with someone from the bachelor Um
Starting point is 00:18:05 And he did like I guess right before they broke up. He had put like a tracking device on her car Yep. Oh, um, she filed a restraining order for that. Um, like, you know stalking I Have to say this it's a little heavy. Um, but if you didn't read my book pride over pity Something very similar To that happened to me. Um, when I was 19, I was actually raped by someone and He proceeded to stalk me after that and then came out as gay in 2017 I I guess, um
Starting point is 00:18:43 Um, I I was following the news of the that bachelor stuff in real time and Maybe I'm just like not understanding But if you are gay, why are you stalking your ex-girlfriend like that? Oh, he says And I think this to be true for the person that did it to me. Um, he says that She Cassie was He wanted to be straight so bad. Like he want he basically wanted prayed every day about Not being gay. He didn't want to be gay. He was suppressing it. He has internalized homophobia his whole life. He was, you know,
Starting point is 00:19:25 Not okay with being gay, but he's known since he was six years old He said that Cassie was the one person that he feels like he could have been straight for And he was not prepared to do like basically without her he would have to face the music and look in the mirror and and and Basically Admit that he was gay live that he was like live his true self and he wasn't prepared for that
Starting point is 00:19:53 And so he actually it's like a blessing in disguise for him because at this point he says like when she filed that restraining order, it was It was the worst thing that could have happened But for him, it was the best thing that could have happened because he knew in that moment That was the last straight relationship that he would ever be in so that he could move forward and really Be his true authentic self now. I'm not saying it's right. I'm not saying it's right by any means He should not have stalked her like obviously that's traumatizing and Um, but when you look look at the whole story like he hated himself
Starting point is 00:20:25 And he even was having a hard time after he came out with like internalized homophobia Um, especially as a gay professional athlete And so, you know, and then his pastor basically tells him that he's a sinner and like this isn't okay um, but then there are other christians who Have his back and support him and I don't know it's Heartbreaking for cassie. It's heartbreaking for colton. It's the whole thing is heartbreaking that we're still shaming people for being Homosexual or anything other than anything other than heterosexual heterosexual because at the end of the day we're all We all
Starting point is 00:21:05 Make fucking mistakes and sin Um, so why are anyone sins better than anyone else is they're not? um, and I don't know like someone's sexuality doesn't Make them a bad person and it also isn't hurting anyone else So I don't fully understand that but there is a a couple episodes where he meets up with other professional Athletes who have come out of the closet And I loved that. Um, I felt like that Really opened my eyes to like
Starting point is 00:21:37 The whole thing just opens your eyes to how society Treats Gay men or just Like anyone who's not heterosexual in general. So it was just like a really good eye opening to IQ series. Um, I think he got so much flak um for One coming out because people
Starting point is 00:22:05 wanted to Basically say he was using that as a cop out for what he did to cassie. Oh, nobody's nobody's Nobody's pretending to be gay like Yeah, or To say oh, I'm gay and that's why I stalked her like no one is ever gonna just say they're gay Just to say they're like to cover up something else. I don't think that's what it is I genuinely think that he struggled with this and honestly like I've been where Cassie's at um, and and so for that I can completely understand the trauma the trauma there and my heart goes out to her
Starting point is 00:22:37 um But hopefully this docuseries that Colton did will open other people's eyes so that things like that don't continue to happen Do you get what I'm saying like? I you guys have to watch it. It's um And I hope that people who are homophobic watch it and understand and see like At six years old, you're not choosing to be gay. Like you don't choose to be gay. You don't that's not something that you're choosing That's not something like this man has gone until he's 29 years old Suppressing his sexuality and who he really is and hating himself truly hating himself and hoping that one day he would wake up straight
Starting point is 00:23:17 You don't you don't you don't put yourself through that that's not something that you choose So I just I hope that people watch it and just it becomes an eye-opener for so many things It's so sad and then also um I could imagine him probably feeling like he was between a rock and a hard place and just feeling like he was losing control of absolutely everything so sometimes When you feel pushed against a wall you'll make decisions that you wouldn't normally make and a sound state of mind and so not to justify
Starting point is 00:23:51 Why there would be a tracker on someone's car or like stalking or whatever but I could imagine that he was probably his feelings were probably very much spiraling out of control Well, he's he told his dad in one of the scenes Um, his dad said would you be married to Cassie had she said yes? And Colton said yes, so he would and and then his dad was like and what lived your life unhappily and and miserable and Colton said yes Like he thought that he was going to the grave with the secret of being gay. Could you imagine living your entire life? Not living Happy and loving whoever you want to love like I can't imagine what that feels like and I can't imagine what that would be
Starting point is 00:24:33 Imagine what that would like where that? um How that would manifest itself in other ways? i.e. The Cassie and the stalking again absolutely not justifying it just saying you can understand how that manifested Through everything that that transpired for sure For sure. Um I feel like um
Starting point is 00:25:03 Stop it, Georgia. I feel like that a lot of people are gonna sit and say Oh, well, you know, why did he go on the bachelor with all of those girls and um, Here comes the word bamboozle them and make them think one thing and The reality be something else, but I also think that that was just part of the process for him Unfortunately, yeah, I I agree. It's it sucks, but hopefully Hopefully Cassie will be able to move on in a healthy way and you know Do whatever she needs to get through this because I can
Starting point is 00:25:38 See why that this would all be traumatic and I hope that colton's able to move on as well because Which is unfortunate I did want to Talk about what's been going on since I left I literally left the airbnb from you um, I pulled out team mom cameras were rolling as I was pulling out I was on the phone with my therapist and um chatting through kind of everything that
Starting point is 00:26:11 Has transpired and um, if you guys follow me on instagram, you know that I've been pretty active in my stories and sharing things Um for the longest time I feel like I wasn't silencing myself, but for the longest time. I feel like I was trying to keep everything so cordial and a level of control
Starting point is 00:26:40 um And you've probably felt this way Many of times in different situations before too But I kind of felt like you know, I'll take the high road as long as you take the high road and Let's see where that gets us and truly um In my situation we were we were able in my opinion to be amicable for so long um
Starting point is 00:27:06 For a lot longer than what I think other people who have been going through divorce or have been through a divorce and co-parenting We're able to do that early on so for that I am proud of myself and also proud of will because that does take A lot of work and a level of maturity to be able to do that right and it does you're right I think that people don't give you enough credit for that and Now things have been turned upside down sideways
Starting point is 00:27:41 whatever and Do I want to to change um Up to just have like this negative toxic co-parenting relationship. No, I do not Want that to be the scenario, but what I will do is I will Forgo a positive co-parenting Relationship with will as long as it means safety for my son And so I think that's where Some confusion has been
Starting point is 00:28:19 Um, our things have been lost maybe in translation for his family for um Others who are listening. I have not really gotten any negative feedback to be honest. Um I'm sure there is some but I'm sure there is some but I haven't I haven't received any And most people have sent me messages talking about how they would have already been arrested If this situation would have happened to their child so I feel as if the only thing that will has had to do is listen to me jabber and Listen to my podcast which he has now
Starting point is 00:29:00 Um Acknowledged that he tunes in every week. Um that the episode was sent to I don't know the back-end details, but that like everyone in his family listened and I'm I guess my thing is is I don't and I can't wrap my head around and maybe You can help me or maybe the listeners can help
Starting point is 00:29:24 I can't wrap my head around why someone who hates someone so bad and has so many negative feelings about someone Why they would continue to sleep with a person? But then also, why would you continue to subject yourself to that person? That you don't have to like you're choosing To go and look on my instagram all day long from your finsta. You're choosing to tune in to coffee convos podcast and the southern tea podcast. That's two hours a week for sure That if you're listening to the podcast that you you are Dedicating to it. Yeah. I mean on my end. I'm not going to complain because that's another listen for us
Starting point is 00:30:08 But on your end I wholeheartedly agree with that Like if you want to cancel out the noise and you don't want to be frustrated about things You have to learn how to cancel that out that and that's what I tell two of my baby dads is like Why are you still listening? Do not text me about what I talk about Just don't listen if you don't like what people are messaging you Then get then don't read your messages if you don't like the comments that people are saying then don't read them like You have to pick and choose what you're willing to read and what you're willing to put put your energy into and listening to our podcast Doesn't sound or the southern tea podcast doesn't sound like it's conducive to his well-being
Starting point is 00:30:46 So he should maybe not listen You know for those reasons because they're just asking for You're asking for trouble whenever you tune in because no matter what I say If I didn't say anything from today forward no matter what I say there's going to be a problem with how I said it right right so You know to tell me um
Starting point is 00:31:10 that You're going to speak you're gonna say this you're gonna say that literally The world knows everything that I've done like there's no there's no secrets like my dirtiest darkest secrets Google me like it's out there so I'm not going to be manipulated into not speaking or not saying anything because
Starting point is 00:31:40 Someone else feels that I don't need to say anything. I also find it Quite interesting that he made a statement to me and said you care what the world thinks. I only care what my family thinks Well, there's not much of a difference there is there that's an interesting thing though because If you only care what your family thinks, why are you sending them the links to? my podcast and why are they tuning into that and also If you only care what your family thinks, why do you care what I say? Caring what anyone thinks it doesn't matter who it is. You still care what someone else thinks Right, but they're not very different. You're you get what I'm saying like
Starting point is 00:32:21 And furthermore, I have to disagree with him on this one because at the end of the day At the end of the day You and you and will are Jackson's parents When everyone else is no longer in the picture You and will are still his parents. So Why care what even your own extended family thinks when you are not the one raising my child? Yeah, you're a part of his life But if you don't it's kind of like one of those things where it's like if you don't like what you know
Starting point is 00:32:51 What we're doing then you don't need to be a part of it. I'm not going to sit here and entertain you not liking my son's mother when You're not Financing him. You're not feeding him on a regular bait. You get what I'm saying. Yeah, and I I just Truly kale cannot wrap my head around where the disconnect is between the thought process of Why what transpired with Jackson and the accident was wrong? I feel very clear cut in My thinking and I feel Valid in how I feel about it and their opinions Mean absolutely nothing to me at the point. They decided to try to hide it from me
Starting point is 00:33:39 I no longer feel the need to one entertain a positive conversation or hear someone out because will He knows what the parenting plan states and he Chose to not communicate those things However, he has told me because I said last week that you know, his parents have a level of responsibility to encourage him To do the right thing. He has now said that his parents did encourage him to do it But he still chose not to do it. That's a n a l u i s a I absolutely recommend them They are a great brand making beautiful sustainable jewelry. Go check out shop. Anna luisa dot com slash combos Again, that's a n a l u i s a Also because I said this on instagram, I feel like I have to say it on here that three grown men tried to clean my son's
Starting point is 00:37:25 Road rash up with a beer and a golf rag Um I'm not sure what fucking world that they live in But where would anyone feel that it was appropriate to pour A beer on a golf rag and wipe my son's open cut up Who thought that was a good idea? Um I'm not gonna specifically say the person's right right right right right position
Starting point is 00:37:57 That thought it was a good idea. However It the clearly wasn't a good idea were will his brother and will's dad and Yeah, that was the determination on how the wound was going to get cleaned up. Um, okay Will also shared with me that two days after the fact of the accident That his aunt who is a nurse and has been a nurse for years and years and years and years longer than than we've all been alive um
Starting point is 00:38:35 That she gave him some medical advice on how to handle the situation I think the disconnect is is that's great that she can give you medical advice and I'm glad that she actually did But also this was two days later and anytime a child's head gets hit in any way And there is visible markings on the outside of your face and their eye is literally swollen shut the next morning You should have gone to get some type of medical help whether that was urgent care or Whatever, um The story also changed so many different times regarding the alcohol. It makes me very uncomfortable because I was told from the jump That he wasn't drinking at all and the story that I got was he wasn't drinking at all because he was planning on going to get
Starting point is 00:39:29 pizzas for them when they got finished golfing so What I was just about to say, uh, okay, so That explains pretty much nothing yeah, so His his story was that he wasn't drinking at all that his dad and his brother was drinking
Starting point is 00:39:52 And that he wasn't because he was going to go and get pizzas when they finished up their guy's day He was going to go and get pizzas. Okay. Well then the story changed once attorneys got involved then the story changed to he acknowledged the drinking to his attorney, but then Told me that he had had two beers, but then by the next day He had had three beers. Okay. So the story has changed now Yeah, like it's changed literally Probably three or four different times in the matter of 72 hours. So good. Okay. Um Um
Starting point is 00:40:31 I had told will I said, you know, because I had let Jackson go to will's house when We were in Atlanta filming and doing stuff for the podcast, right? It was a regular school day Weekday stuff like will is on a job. Whatever. There has never been an issue during the weeks the issues arise whenever it's a weekend And and this would have been the weekend that will would have had him like this weekend And I said until we have some type of agreement You don't need to sit on this because until we have some type of agreement I am not going to let Jackson come over there because I don't feel comfortable because you're dishonest, right? Which is fair. I feel like that's very fair
Starting point is 00:41:18 and I kept telling him this is not Not about control. This is about safety and he he keeps wanting to preach that You know, this is a way for me to control him. This is a way for me to control him I don't really feel that a normal human being would be able to view it as a way to control someone when you just simply look at the facts of the situation how things transpired and him knowing
Starting point is 00:41:48 The kind of mother that I am I am super protective of Jackson Knowing everything that we all know I do feel it's very reasonable for me to say hey, let's just do a side agreement Um, we'll have it written up with our attorneys. We'll both sign it I'm also not asking him to sign any agreement that I wouldn't be willing to sign myself. Right. So I also want to state that um so I say, you know, if this is not executed. I tell him this Last week on thursday, I said will
Starting point is 00:42:24 Like you can drag your feet if you want to if this is not executed By five on friday, you will not be getting Jackson for the weekend So then friday rolls around still no execution of the agreement and he's like, well Um, I don't have an agreement to sign. Well, well, you were the same person that told me that you would only agree to two beers per hour
Starting point is 00:42:53 During the times that you have Jackson And he's so I said and further the issue is with you. So I don't really feel like it's my attorney's job to be Rush drafting something that's like not in benefit of me. Like I don't have a problem signing whatever it is. You're the issue facts And so your attorney should be drafting it. Like why are we even having this conversation? numb nuts like
Starting point is 00:43:25 Not numb nuts Not numb nuts. And so sat um friday night rolls around. I'm having text You know text exchanges with will will then thinks that after everything that has transpired That I'm going to agree to let Jackson go with him on saturday after his basketball game over text communication agreement And I'm like I can say whatever I want to say over text message about an agreement But until my attorney approves whatever I I can't vouch that that's going to be what the agreement is, right? Right, right
Starting point is 00:44:02 You know, I could go And say I want to buy a three million dollar house, but the bank's not going to let me You know, they might I mean they they could but like they're probably not going to let me so There's definitely a gatekeeper in this situation So I can't just agree over text message to something that I don't know is going to fly or not Like this is just me and you chatting and trying to Find a common ground somewhere
Starting point is 00:44:28 So, of course, I get Jackson to basketball will comes in which has just been very odd um that For both of Jackson's basketball games will shows up basically just on time not Not like early like he would for baseball anything like that. It's just been On time, which is fine. Whatever Um, he then stop it touching my computer. He then um Um
Starting point is 00:44:58 Does try to say something to me But in my opinion, he was just trying to speak to me To get what he wanted, which was for Jackson to come come with him. His parents were there, you know, so on so forth so gets time to leave and He's like is he really not coming with me and I said no like I've already told you this Why are we having this conversation and he keeps on contempt contempt contempt and I'm like First of all, you need to look up the word contempt first and secondly
Starting point is 00:45:29 um Your attorney needs to verse you on the actual Agreement that you have made and there is no standing order with the court in our county So until that order is standing, I can't be found in contempt for anything um This just speaks so much to Co-parenting and when there are just courts involved custody agreements. Um How stupid it can really get because it never should ever get to this point, right?
Starting point is 00:46:06 And then it was all weekend long like just will firing off text to me and Jackson and group texts that were inappropriate like All freaking weekend long will's parents for the first time since I moved into this house Text him All weekend long multiple times They have never texted him or called him when I have had him since July But now all of a sudden they want to text and call. Yeah Yeah, that's nice. That's really nice. And so I am
Starting point is 00:46:45 wondering if I was wondering well, you know, maybe since this is will's time, maybe they were thinking that will has him back by now Um, if will hasn't shared that information or maybe it's like some type of bamboozle. I'm not really sure Um will did however tell me he had told me over text that he didn't share his um intimate details of his life with his parents or his family like he didn't share who he slept with, you know, whatever But then that narrative changed last night whenever I talked to him face-to-face Um, he said that when I basically said that I was going to out him for it He told his parents that he was banging me
Starting point is 00:47:30 Oh, he was banging you. Yeah Hmm. Okay. Okay. And I'm like, okay, you know, first of all Not really your parents business. Um, not really anybody's business actually But that's just weird. I said, how did that conversation go? You just like went up to them and were like, hey, by the way, still banging lindsay Like what I fucking hope not like I really hope not because it doesn't really help his case. I'm like I don't know. I don't know. And I said for somebody that you just hate so bad And you you want nothing to do with you sure do go out of your way To be involved in my stuff like 100%
Starting point is 00:48:14 Are absorbing me multiple hours a week. You see me at basketball, which really isn't a choice Um, but you are making choices to be absorbed by me um, and you have now made a finsta And I found it And you are following another female Verified account and the people that are following you are all females Cute that's cute Like real cute and you just look like a scam. That's what I said. I said you
Starting point is 00:48:53 You just look like a scam, but you don't care what anybody thinks or anybody says or anybody does It's just all I'm just the only one who cares about anything. So That's where my co-parenting stuff Rest Um, I'm probably not going to unless unless someone decides to get silly. Um, I'm probably not going to keep talking about it weekly. Um, unless there's something like super important to report back because In his mind, he thinks that our only content and he has said this our only content is is him Will I love you, but come on bro?
Starting point is 00:49:39 like bro bro bro And called me Tons of bad names. Um And you know At this point in the game, I'm kind of like Desensitized to You know, you can call me a bitch. You can call me ugly. You can call me
Starting point is 00:50:02 Whatever you want to call me. It's not it's it's truly just words at this point and it just shows to the level that People are willing to stoop and it's also sad that I have just picked up on several things and I'm I'm not going to Out him for these things because I've done enough, but I almost feel like I Was living in a home with an enemy for such a long period of time Based off of some of the things that have been said to me that I am truly in a state of pure disgust Right and rightfully so. I mean at this point, you're just like It's exhausting and it's it's tiring. It's not a fun time. I mean co-parenting definitely sucks sometimes sometimes

Yeah, I don't I'm good things obviously with football. We're gonna go to Atlanta next month, but
Starting point is 00:53:31 Not really anything going on. Um, I don't have anything to bitch about for once. It's like we're on opposite schedules Like I pitch about My my chaos times three and then you you don't have much and then now you have this and I have nothing Updates as far as like other things I we didn't get to touch on Scott Peterson being resentenced to life in prison um, and we also didn't get to touch on allegedly Brian Laundrie's parents exchanged his body location for immunity
Starting point is 00:54:10 And then proceeded to immediately go to the bank to try to recover his whatever $20,000 that he had in the bank Wait, he had $20,000 in the bank. Yes, and he they like immediately went to go Try to recover that Really? Yeah Well, so I was so consumed with my bs that I had going on that I Miss these huge updates. Yeah, I miss these huge updates. So what what information do you know more on the scott peterson? Sitch so scott peterson sentenced to life in prison after being spared a death sentence
Starting point is 00:54:51 Um, this is the CNN report. Um They basically just said that he's re sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the deaths of his wife and unborn child Um, peterson 49 was convicted in 2004 for the murders of his wife lacy and their unborn son And in august 2020 the california supreme court reversed his death sentence and then um After finding that potential jurors were dismissed erroneously um in part because they expressed general objections to the death penalty on a questionnaire And then um this past wednesday. So we would have been on our our
Starting point is 00:55:28 We would have been working They ordered they reordered him to serve life in prison without the possibility of parole for first degree murder Um, and that is a sentence of 15 years to life for second degree murder of connor Oh The baby my god. So it says that Connor would have been 18 years old by now Really? And yeah, it says quote. He would have been 18 years old by now 10 months ago You would have been free of child support and not have to worry about being responsible for a child. Um
Starting point is 00:56:02 Lacy and connor will always be dead and you will you will always be their murderer Wow, yeah, so that was that update I just I wonder if he gets I just I wonder if he gets Like the letters and male or in jail from women And I mean, I'm sure he did at first. I don't I wonder if he still does. I don't know Yeah, I mean the really good level of like sickness like for sure
Starting point is 00:56:39 I'm well and like now with the case being like republicized People who didn't already know about it or like get reminded of it. You know what I mean? So I think he I would I would guess that he definitely gets like letters and stuff still That's just that's insane. I would love to As much as I would hate to be in a room with him um I would love to pick the brains of People who who do this to their families and why they think that
Starting point is 00:57:13 One that you're going to get away with it, but two It kill it has to be something Mentally Truly wrong because it's a pattern like you see similar patterns through these cases That you're like, okay, where were they thinking that they were going to get away with this? They were going to eliminate this family that they created and then they were going to go off and live like nilly willy That's what I don't get like You just you have to want like did did you really think you were going to get off?
Starting point is 00:57:50 I I don't know but I mean look at the other cases that we have talked about and it's the same thing What was that other guy? Um What's chris for watts? Like where did you think that you were going to get? Away with that like who told you Who told you that that you were just going to be like free and clear living with your mistress? Right
Starting point is 00:58:18 And you know, yeah, no, I I agree with you like what are you what are you thinking? What are you thinking? I don't know. Um, but that's all the tea that I have I don't have much else to add to today's episode Wait, what? Um, tell me about your house. Are you getting close? Yeah, so the newest update is carpet upstairs and the bedrooms went in Um, most of the lighting is going in my pantry shelves are being built all the flooring like the hard flooring Hardwood is in um, and I posted some of the light fixtures yesterday. I was super excited. They worked Yeah, they worked Saturday and Sunday. I know like
Starting point is 00:59:01 My style I promise you is not for everybody, but like It's definitely not like a typical like I'm just not into like the farmhouse vibe Like that's just like not my vibe. So if that's your vibe my style most likely will not Be appealing to you Um, but I I'm really excited. They said a an estimated completion date of 12 31 and then um But that being said I ordered all new stuff for that house. So unless my Couches and beds come I won't be able to move in until that stuff comes because I'm not bringing my old stuff to the new house You know, what's really interesting is I look at your style
Starting point is 00:59:43 of your home and I feel like I love it first of all, but I feel like as a person Your style of home and like who you are is very different Like you think yeah, I feel like you're very like casual relaxed um I mean crazy, but like your home style to me is more Like there's fancy elements of your home style I feel like
Starting point is 01:00:18 I wanted a very edgy vibe. Um And I love like gold. I'm not a super silver person um I wanted like more of like an edgy vibe. So and I feel like my style's kind of casual with like a little You know, like I like a a studded jacket here and there It's kind of like how I want my house like kind of casual on the outside when you go in there's kind of some edgy touches, you know
Starting point is 01:00:46 Yeah, you know, it's kind of like I would imagine it being like wearing those little like short heels, you know I can't wear any type of heels. Okay I would imagine that that would be if you were describing it as a person It would be someone who was like trying to be casual but they needed to put on like a little a little chode heel to jazz it up like a little juge I mean, I agree with that. I'm going to be adding
Starting point is 01:01:17 pictures on my stories for the next several weeks. I'm hoping to be in there by mid-January I hope to be in there before my Atlanta trip actually um But we should we should do a this or that home edition on coffee combos instagram this week because I would love to know people who prefer like silvers over golds. Are you mixed metals? Are you mixed metals? Are you more farmhouse? Are you more traditional? Are you more?
Starting point is 01:01:50 Whatever kills kill like I feel like you have to dub your style as like its own name Okay. Well, what would we call my style would we call it? So like I couldn't say like it's edgy I feel like it is but if it's also like edgy casual like what is that? Like define that. Ke- keggy Keggy with a K. It's edgy casual edgy. Um keggy Keggy. Yeah, I mean, I think to like that's like kale edgy. Like keggy with a K
