Hey guys, it's Lindsay and Kail, and we're back with confi combos.
We have a special guest with us today.
Her name is Kayla, and she is from Magnolia Med Spa.
So welcome to our podcast.
Thank you.
I'm so excited to be a part of this today.
We're so excited to have you, and I'm so excited to be, I guess, like, a patient of your client.
A client.
A client.
I guess it's a good one.
Yeah.
We're going to talk about all things, mom, body, and beauty today.
It is no secret that we are both moms and completely committed to our children.
And I feel like we have a desire to want to look good and to feel good and not just be moms.
You know, it's easy to throw like on a pair of sweatpants and throw your hair up and do all that kind of stuff.
But you want to look good, you know, while you're doing that.
And I feel like social media has added so much pressure whenever you're kind of in the way.
this TV public figure arena because it can create some of the greatest insecurities.
And, you know, people in your everyday life that criticize you, you have opened your world up
to people that you don't even know, you know, criticizing you.
And anywhere from, like you said, Kail, like your skin, that is one thing that you said that is
one of the hardest things to get criticized because that's something you can't control.
That's genetic.
It's something that I am already hard on myself about.
And so then when I'm on TV and I'm filming and I have blemishes and breakouts and acne, it gets magnified because then I have people on Twitter and Instagram coming at me and they're now making it a big deal.
I've already seen my face in the mirror.
So thank you.
It's like I know I know what I look like.
And, you know, I am already insecure about it.
You don't need to tell me about the things that, you know, I'm insecure about.
And the best thing about me finding, you know, the med spa is.
is being able to come and get medically, you know, graded products that I can use that have really
changed my skin.
Absolutely.
And I couldn't agree with both of you, honestly, more, because, you know, me working here at Magnolia
Mets Spa, you know, we see patients and clients every day who, you know, have so many skin
problems, you know, whether it be hyperpigmentation, you know, acne scars, you know, discoloration,
fine lines, wrinkles, you know, we see clients like that every day.
So, you know, my, the way I'd go off life is two rules, consistency and confidence.
If you're confident, you will go out in the world and you will kill it.
You can't, you know, go out and try and, you know, like you said, be somebody and have these problems.
And, you know, you're never going to be able to, you know, one, be yourself.
Because if you're insecure about, you know, everyone knows it's so, it's the worst feeling the world to feel insecure about it.
Oh, yeah.
So I'm a full believer that if you're insecure about something, the only way to fix it is to change it.
up to you. I think the hard thing too is though, like, if you have bad skin and you are insecure
about it, to put makeup on it doesn't necessarily help. And then you're insecure about how the makeup
looks on top of your skin that is bad. But that's what we're taught. Yeah. But it also
it's almost like the makeup is a band-aid to fix something that you haven't tried to fix. You know,
like makeup's not going to fix the skin. Like it's just going to cover it up. Exactly. And I think
that that's something that both of us, wouldn't you agree, that we have both kind of
gotten into as you're 25 and I'm 28, we're into skin care right now, you know? And it's like,
as you get older, um, I remember like the day that I turned 25. It was on September 17th,
I was like, oh my God, I do not have a skincare regimen. And you were supposed to, like, by the
book, you were supposed to have a full skincare regimen by the time of that. You so, you're definitely
supposed to start mid-20s. Really? Is that idea?
My mid-20s is 25.
No, I know, but I didn't know that you needed, like, a regimen.
Yeah, like, you're supposed to have a full skincare regimen.
So I literally asked for, like, a clarisonic.
Like, I asked for, like, all this stuff.
Like, you made sure because it's really,
but there's three really important things to regimen,
vitamin A, vitamin C, and sunscreen.
As long as you have the three of those,
you will forever just continue to de-age or anti-age
would be the best way to say it.
But those are three really, really important ingredients to having beautiful skin.
I just want to be able to throw,
Like, even if I wanted to throw sweatpants on and go run my errands, like, I want to not have to worry about putting makeup over my bad skin.
That's, like, the biggest thing that I want.
So skin services.
So skin services on top of, in combination with skincare, is going to give you the best results you can possibly want and see.
Right.
Like, for you, we were talking earlier about microneedling would be a great service for you.
You know, it tightens up the pores.
It gets rid of any hyperpigmentation, acne scarring.
You know, it's incredible.
It's a super incredible service.
A lot of people don't know about that.
I've never heard of it until this week.
So it's just about educating yourself, you know, on the services, the, you know, the skincare, whatever skincare line you're going with.
Like ours, Magnolia MD is an active skincare line.
You want to make sure that's got amazing ingredients and it's active.
If it's not active, it's not going to change your skin.
Right.
So don't even spend the money on $400 products and all these face washes that are not going to really do anything for you.
Exactly.
And I've noticed that.
I feel like I'll spend money going to the drugstore and getting drugstore brands or I'll go to the mall and try to get like higher.
more expensive things and nothing's working.
And I know that y'all told me that it's because they have the product that needs to be in there,
but the concentration is so low that it's not, so technically it's like right, but it's not right.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So my recommendations for getting your skin to where you're happy is to go see a doctor or go to a medical spot.
those are where you're going to really see the best results.
They're really going to, you know, take action here out of, you know,
Magnolia and Men's spa.
We, every single service for our client is tailored specifically for them.
You know, we want to get the best results possible for each and every client.
So you might have a specific problem and you might have a different problem,
but we're going to, you guys might be doing the same service.
We have totally different skin.
Yeah, for sure.
My problems are, I feel like I'm going to age faster than kale because she has.
You think?
Yeah, because my skin's a drier.
I'm not a scar.
I'll have scar.
You won't because there's things that they have a thicket.
Everyone's skin is just different.
Some people have thicker skin.
Some people's skin is not as thick.
Some people's skin is oily, dry.
You know, we all deal with different problems.
But it's nice that, you know, you go to somebody that's professional and that is, you know, certified.
Because you want to make sure that whatever you're putting and doing your skin is good for you.
Not everything that's good for you is going to work for.
Everybody said you're used.
Well, you made a good point about comparing it to the gym.
Yes.
So it's a perfect way to describe that.
So working out, you can't go into the gym every time and do the same workout over and over and over again.
Your muscles get used to that. You're defeating the purpose of the workout.
You know, you want to switch it up every now and again.
So the way we have it here is you buy a facial package, which gives you the option to switch it, switch up your service every time you come in.
So this time you might come in for, you know, a facial next time you might be in for a microneedal service, you know.
That's, you know, you have to, you have to look at it like that.
Like you don't get like a hydropacial every time you go.
Exactly.
You have to come up with it.
You have to strategize, you know, it's that serious.
is, you know? That makes sense. I mean, I just need to work on what works for me.
And I think a different product is, like, I'm not going to always be on the same product as you.
Bioclarity is this awesome face wash that I've been using, and it's a three-set program.
It's antioxidants found in green tea to clean and detoxify your skin. It has cooling cucumber to soothe and oatmeal kernel to hydrate.
It doesn't use benzoyal peroxide, which causes redness and dryness,
irritation, so that's super cool. It's suitable for all skin types, and it's dermatologist developed,
tested and recommended. It's 100% vegan and cruelty-free, which is PETA certified. It's also
gluten-free and paraben-free. And yeah, I've been using this to help clear my skin, and I'm
excited to keep using it to see what happens. Let BioClarity help you face your day feel confident
with clear, refreshed skin. Just go to Bioclurity.com. Our listeners will get their first month for only

That's bioclurity.com and enter our code coffee.
Finally, an acne treatment that actually works.
Bioclurity.com.
So speaking, you know, of our skin care regimen, like I said, the three most important things that you can have in a regimen are vitamin A, C, and then of course your sunscreen, that is the biggest factor.
for successful skin.
But speaking of skincare, how do you like yours, Lindsay?
We gave you our Magnolia MD skincare line, which you can purchase online.
How do you like yours?
I love my skincare.
The toner that I use, I feel I use it on my whole body.
Oh, great.
It feels really good.
I like things that make my face feel good when I touch it, you know, and when I feel it on my face.
Like, my face feels dry, then I've got to put like a moisturizer on there.
You know, the moisturizer's good.
Everything's good.
I think the serum, like the dropper, that's the vitamin C, right?
That's my most favorite product.
That is one of our most popular products.
That and the ultra-hydrating booster for what we gave you that as well.
How do you like that serum?
I love all the products.
And the one that has a sunscreen in it, it's like the tinted moisturizer.
It's great because, you know, I have, I did the microblading for my brows.
And literally when I wake up in the morning, I can put my hair in a ponytail.
get in sweatpants and I put on that little, my skin's clear.
I get, you know, facials regularly.
And I put on that sunscreen with a tinted moisturizer and go.
That's what I mean.
I don't know what the heck I'm going to do about my skin.
Yeah, I'm a...
No, we know.
We know.
I just got to execute.
Yeah, execute.
I am a true believer that if your skin is like perfect and you're happy with it,
then you'll wake up happier every morning, you know,
and just knowing that it's less work for you.
You guys, I love that we're all sitting here with champagne
and just having this super cute.
Little talk. It's like mom talk, body talk.
The funny thing is, is like, I don't really know what I like to drink.
You know what I mean? Like, I'm just not like...
Oh, you don't drink wine?
Well, I mean, I do drink wine, but I just...
I'm like a tester. Like I never found like...
You don't really know.
Yeah, I don't really know, like what ones I like.
What do you drink?
I'm a white wine drinker.
Is that like sweet or what is that?
It's like right in the middle, not too sweet, not too dry.
It's medium-bodied wine.
I don't know what dry means.
So dry is like it's just going to...
Okay, so sweet, sweet wine.
I like, like, moscato.
So you got a sweet.
Miscato, sweet.
Dryer is like if you've had, like, just like it's dry.
So it's just not sweet.
It's just almost like you're just doing a combination.
It almost has like a weird taste to it.
But some people like it and it's like frutier.
So I've discovered this website called Wink, W-I-N-C.
And it's super cool because you can go on the website and answer like a bunch of questions.
And it'll basically tailor a type of wine that would fit your choices.
No.
Yeah, it's like personalized to you.
Yes.
And they're shipped right to your house, which is super cool.
Like, what is it called?
It's called W-I-N-C.
How smart.
Right.
I love that.
I've never heard of this.
So you can go to try wink.com slash combos and you fill out the palette profile quiz.
And they'll ask you questions like, how do you like your coffee or do you like blueberries
or raspberries?
And they kind of just like match your, I guess, likes and dislikes to a wine.
Oh my gosh.
Wink is about to be my new best friend.
No.
How convenient.
For moms, too.
How convenient.
You always go to the liquor store because you have kids or whatever.
Well, and like who's driving through the liquor store with kids?
Right.
That's what I'm saying.
How convenient.
I love that.
These are wines that you guys are going to love.
They're shipped right to your door and all you have to do is open the door and enjoy.
And for a limited time, you can get $20 off when you go to trywink.
com slash convos spelled T-R-Y-W-I-N-C dot com slash convos for $20.
off. Trywink.com
slash convos. Can we do like facials
and wine? We should do that. Yeah, we should do that.
Facials and wine.
I love. So, Kail and I were talking about
our bodies the other day and like after having
kids. Yeah. It's rough. And... A rough life
for me right now. You know, because you just had a baby.
And my body is just all over the place. So we need
some bounce back post babies. Oh yeah. We need some stuff.
For me, like, whenever I had
Jackson, it was crazy. Like, I was super small. I've always been pretty small. I only gained
25 pounds throughout my whole pregnancy. So it wasn't, I don't have like the relatability factor
when it comes to gaining a ton of weight and having a ton of weight to lose. Whenever I left the
hospital, I was pretty much all water weight. And I was back down to my bait, like my, what do you
call it? Pre-pregnancy weight by the time Jackson was a month old.
Oh, wow. Okay, I can't relate to that, Lindsay. I'm sorry.
And not a lot of moms can. You know, that's the thing.
It's pretty few and far between, I would say.
And I wouldn't say, like, just, I mean, for me, I guess I didn't try to, like, exercise a ton whenever I was pregnant.
Like, I went on walks daily or whatever. But a lot of it is just genetic, too.
You know, whatever you are is what you are, you know?
I just, I don't know, I struggle with weight loss. I try to do my CrossFit stuff.
And I have gotten surgery. I've been pretty open about myself.
surgeries, but this third pregnancy, I don't know, getting back to that weight, pre-pregnancy
weight is so hard for me.
Well, how do you all feel about the fact that you decided to go with the procedure?
You know what?
At first, I was owning it and I didn't have any, like, reservations about being public about
it.
And then obviously social media and the public ate me alive for it.
And so then I was a little bit more secretive about, like, what I was doing and what I
wanted to do.
And now I'm just kind of like, if I want to get a procedure, that's going to make me feel
better, then I'm going to do it. Because at the end of the day, nobody else is in my skin. And so I feel
like I'm going to own it and I'm going to do what I need to do. I definitely want to be more selective
because of the aftermath and the recoveries are pretty bad. So I want to see if there's like maybe
other options. So I'm not sure, but we, I don't know if you all have done liposculpting. No, I've
never even heard of it. It's an amazing. I wouldn't say it's a lot of people, let's talk about
the myths first. So people think that liposal.
is for weight loss. If you, you know, need to get rid of your weight, they're thinking that
the solution is going to be to come and get liposuction. But wouldn't you just get it right back?
It just depends on, you know, your habits after the surgery. You know, you want to maintain a healthy
diet and exercise. So it's more like a jump start more than anything. But liposuction is, you know,
the ideal client for liposuction is somebody who's, you know, depending on where you're at,
weight-wise. But, you know, we're looking for a healthy candidate, you know, they could be a little
of weight but not obese, you know, because that's when the complications happen.
it comes to not be so healthy.
But you want to have someone who's healthy, a little overweight.
That way you can sculpt them and give them the shape that they want.
So it's like you're working up to the liposuction, you know, working out until you're
adding an ideal weight and then getting the sculpting done to give you the silhouette that you,
you know.
Are looking for.
Exactly.
Right.
Okay.
I mean, that makes sense.
I just, I don't know.
I feel like there, is it good for like problematic?
Like, say someone gets pregnant, has a baby, they only gain weight in certain areas.
When they lose, when they have the baby, will they.
Gain it back in those areas?
Yeah. So like I said, it just depends on your diet. So if you are, you know, keeping up with a healthy diet, you should be fine. But, you know, not everybody follows that. Right. It's all about, like, staying consistent. Like you said, you know, before, it's the consistency with life. Consistency with diet. Consistency with lifestyle. Like what you're doing to help yourself maintain it. It's not a permanent fix, you know. It's not like you can just come and get it sucked out. And it's, you know, it's life changing. Yeah. It's not going to be like that. It's more of, okay.
I mean, I don't know.
This time, actually, I have to say my last two pregnancies I've been struggling with, like, feeling good about myself after the baby, you know, skin, weight.
I think those are my two biggest things.
I feel like after I had Jackson, though, one of the things that bothered me was I just didn't feel like my stomach was as tight as what.
It could have.
It was before.
It was before.
And so it took, you know, a lot of working out for me to get back.
And I wouldn't say, like, I'm at 100% because your body.
you can't expect your body to go back to like 100% what it was before a baby.
That just would not be natural.
But I want my body to at least look similar to what it did before I had a baby and clothes.
You know, I mean, I'm okay with the same clothes for sure.
Yeah.
I mean, and I'm okay with looking a little bit different, but I don't want to be like so drastically.
I feel like this last pregnancy, I look so drastically different.
Okay, let me just tell you.
My jeans, I had my favorite pair of jeans from Zara.
and now they won't even get past my kneecaps.
And I don't feel like I gained that much weight.
It's just your body change.
I feel like my hips, I gained all my weight in my thighs,
and I don't know what's wrong,
but I will never be able to fit into those jeans again.
So I just want to feel good to fit into the jeans that I want to wear.
You know what I mean?
I'm a true believer.
You know, we see a lot of moms and women who just got divorced
and, you know, just need to get.
They just want to feel good.
Feel confident again, right?
Yeah.
So I've, we do it all the time.
A combination of services will get you where you want to be,
whether it's...
Plus not at exercise.
Yeah, liposection, plus radio frequency, skin tending.
That's really the only effective skin tending that's going to make a difference.
And then on top of, you know, there's threading nowadays.
They have that, you know, technology has come so far.
We have so many different options.
You just want to make sure that you're really being seen by the right person.
Right.
I mean, I think a lot of questions that people ask me to are like, how do you lose the weight?
How do you do this?
How do you do that?
I'm like, yeah, I had, I've had surgeries.
But I've also, after my surgeries, up until I got pregnant, I was, I had to eat right and go to, I had to work out.
So that's like part of it.
And I think a lot of people think that the surgeries are going to be an end-all, be-all solution for life.
Yeah.
And that's just not the case.
But consistency is key kind of like what you were saying before.
Exactly.
Like you have to stay consistent with it and just really, you know, believe in yourself.
And I always think that it's important to have a doctor who believes in you.
You know, a doctor who's willing to work with you and not just say, hey, I'm going to take your money and like liposcoped you knowing that you're not going to see a difference.
You know, you want to make sure you're with someone who's genuine and passionate about what they're doing.
Yeah, I agree.
Well, and I think like for me, you know,
I had my first surgery not related to baby, but I had my first surgery.
No, it was related to baby because I breastfed.
And I think that is one of the, probably I would go out on a limb and say one of the most common issues after breastfeeding.
You just don't feel like your boobs are the same.
The same because they're just not.
I don't know where they go.
It's like they completely, if you think of a balloon, it looks like a balloon.
on like day five.
No.
And I'm like, nah.
Like, this is not working.
Literally, I was so self-conscious about it because I had great boobs before.
Like, it wasn't like I had big boobs, but I had like.
Like you felt good about them.
I had perky, like, uniform-looking boobs.
They were in the same place.
And like...
I think right now even I just would like to get some work done to my boobs.
Just because I want to feel good about it.
But I think it's just from like your skin stretching and then the combination
of breastfeeding and all of that.
So, I mean, I cried and cried and cried about my boobs.
And it's like, why are you crying?
Literally, there's an implant.
Like, you can put it in and it's going to be okay.
And I did that and I felt so much better about myself, you know?
And I think that you deserve that, you know, as a mom, if your kid literally sucked
what you had out of you, then you should be able to put it back.
You know what?
But men don't understand this.
Insurance should cover it.
I agree.
But you know what?
It pisses me off because men don't have these people.
problems. Yeah, they might gain a little dad weight, but then they can just...
Exactly. It's a lot easier for them.
Like, they're hitting the gym. They're hitting the gym and they're like, we don't care.
But our boobs will never go back to what they want to. Well, let me ask you both this.
Because with you both being in the spotlight, do people, do you feel like with you both getting
these procedures done that people think that you're being superficial? Oh, yeah. I mean,
people think that. But at the end of the day, like I've said before, I'm, if it's going to make
me feel better, I'm going to be the best person and mom I can be. So why wouldn't I do them?
I agree.
Well, and I hate to say that, like, I feed into what people think.
You know, like, I say that I don't care.
And, you know, we were just talking about this this morning.
Like, I say I don't care, but I am the first person that if someone says something negative, I totally care, you know.
And it hurts.
You guys still have feelings it hurts.
Yeah.
I don't think that I've ever hated my nose as much as I hate it now because of being on TV and social media.
What's wrong with it?
I have people say I have a snout.
And so, like, I'm down to get a nose show.
No, that's only because you all are on.
They can't wait to break apart anything that you,
You know, that you've got going on just to make them feel better.
So, Kail has us now, and I had a beef, so I fix mine.
They're gorgeous.
I'm dead.
I'm dead.
They are going to fix mine, to be honest.
Do not believe a word they're saying.
They're literally flawless.
Both of them.
Well, I mean, I've had my fixed.
Like.
Yeah, but you're beautiful.
Both of you are stunning.
We've always said that about you since you've walked into the store.
Lindsay, you are so pretty.
With or without makeup.
Well, thank you.
I appreciate it.
I work hard and, like, try.
So.
You do your reasons.
You know.
Start some maintenance.
Yeah, maintenance is key.
You know, we age every single day.
It's like a car, you know?
Like if you don't put oil in it, exactly.
It's not going to run.
That's true.
This is true.
Exactly.
But just as fast as kids grow, that's how we grow.
We just don't pay attention to it once you have a kid.
You know, you just kind of lose track of it.
So what's next?
I feel like I need to get some skin care done.
I'm going to look into some, what is it called?
The Lipo.
Sculpting.
We do liposculpting here.
But we're definitely going to get you on a regimen,
and a magnolia MD of that.
Like I said, you can purchase that on our website.
It's www. magnolia medspa.com.
Definitely get the vitamin C.
Yes.
Is it dropper or you eat it?
It's a dropper and you don't eat it.
Vitamin C, I would imagine you eat it.
No, it's a topical.
So you apply it topically in the morning.
And I probably use more than like what I'm supposed to.
But it's really good for your skin.
It's great for reproducing the collagen.
You know, that's great.
They say three drops.
I use six.
The more the merrier, you know, you can never use or have too much vitamin C.
It's like in a dropper and I swear whenever it hits my face, I feel like younger in five minutes.
I just never heard of like a vitamin C drop.
Like it just feel like your face.
So excited to start because it'll make a huge difference.
I've literally tried every single thing under the sun.
I've been on proactive.
I've been on retinae.
I've had, I'm on some kind of antibiotic right now for acne.
It's so hard.
Do you have you done a microneedling?
Okay, first of all, she's been trying to, she's been talking to me about what is it called a hydrofacial?
Hydroflacial.
They're amazing.
And I have never...
Have you had a facial before?
I've never had a facial.
So a hydrophacial is the perfect starter facial.
Let me just make that clear.
It sucks out.
All the dirt, the bacteria, the blackheads from your pores.
You know how I sent you like that picture?
That nasty.
Yes.
Yes.
And then it reapplies the antioxidants and chemicals.
So it's great.
I live in a small city where there's no medical spas.
There's no medical spa?
No.
So where would I...
I don't even know where I would go.
So if you don't have one in the area, then...
I'd have to travel.
have to travel because there isn't one back home
but you're coming here for a podcast often.
Oh yeah so I have no problem getting them like once a month but I'm just saying like what do
people?
Facials are typically every four weeks you know is what they're expected.
Yeah so they're really not bad.
Okay.
It's maintenance again like hydrant.
Why don't guys have to do?
Do guys get them?
They do.
Oh my gosh.
We have a good amount of guy clients definitely.
Getting facials?
Yes.
Yeah.
Guys like to care of their skin too.
They're superficial men.
Believe it or not.
I don't think that's a bad word.
All men are superficial.
All men are superficial.
Okay.
There are men who care about their skin.
You like to maintain their nice skin.
That's the kind of me and I would want to be with.
Really?
Someone that keeps up with their skin.
Like, I don't know.
Like, maybe somebody that I would want them to keep up with their skin, but I wouldn't want to know about it.
Right.
But I would feel less judged if they did and I did know about it because I would feel less judge.
Okay, I have to go get my facial now and he'd be like, I'll go with you.
I think that hasn't made.
If you're doing too much, it's a little bit turn off.
Yes.
But you know what.
Especially living in Atlanta, Lindsay, you know.
Yeah.
Everybody's metro here.
Yeah.
There's question marks in the red flags.
If you take care of yourself too much, it's definitely a question mark.
A facial?
Yeah.
I mean, Atlanta's just like a whole different.
Like you said, do you even know anybody who?
No, I have no idea.
But I'm saying for me, I would feel less judged because I'm so insecure about my acne and my skin.
So I would feel, okay.
See, I feel like if I was with a man and he judged me because I was getting a facial,
then like he has to go.
Because if he doesn't want me to maintain myself, then like he's not worth my time.
Absolutely.
I just don't support that.
Okay, fair enough.
You know?
Like, he should support.
You know.
He should support what you want to do.
No, I agree. Anything I want to do with that, you know.
Yeah.
Okay, so I'm just going to like break the ice.
All three of us have had our lips done.
Yes.
Oh, my gosh.
First of all, I had a huge reaction.
I got my lips done last year and I had, I looked like Mard Simpson.
My upper lip swelled up.
Was it the day after the next day?
No, it was the same day.
She must have stuck me 12 times.
Sometimes that happens.
So that's normal for it.
Sometimes some people just swell.
Like Lindsay for whatever reason, she had the most beautiful results.
Your results are.
Yeah.
Like, immediately.
How do you have yours done?
I have.
I had mine done in August.
Donors look so like.
They look so natural.
Yeah, you couldn't even tell.
Oh, wow.
Yeah.
And I, we both did wrestling.
Do you know which one you use?
Restalane.
Did you use a Restalane or wrestling lift?
Because we use the lifts and the molecules are bigger.
So it gives you a bigger lip and just along the last.
I don't know that I will touch my lips again because my lips are too big.
I love them though.
They're gorgeous.
But how long.
Have they been in there?
Like, how long is this?
Since April?
Oh, wow.
They're pretty.
They're so really, really volumptuous.
They're gorgeous.
So that's good.
Oh, thanks.
You know what?
Then I'm just going to leave it for a little bit.
If mine's swelled up like Marge Simpson, like I would be nervous.
Yeah.
Well, no.
I did that, though, the first time I ever did, not this past time, but the first time I ever
it was like.
But everybody has a different reaction to different products.
Different products.
She had one of the best I've ever seen, Lindsay's were just in front of it.
I was on the doctors not too long ago and they asked me about it.
and I just said that I would be nervous to touch my lips again.
They said that reactions are rare.
Oh, for your lips?
Yeah, they said that, you know, that the product is.
But I don't necessarily know if it was a reaction or if it was just the amount of product that they used.
True.
Would you ever consider a lip implant?
How do you feel about that?
Okay, so I felt them about what they feel like.
And I probably would do it because, I mean, I have breast implants.
So, I mean, that's already silicone in my body.
So I wouldn't be.
What do they look like?
It's just like literally it's the smallest little thing.
So there's three different sizes.
It's like just like a little.
But they're so small.
They're so small.
You top and bottom.
But you know,
if you just would rather do an implant over a filler,
you know,
every few months,
then a lot of people decide to do that.
I got Botox in my armpits.
For sweat, right?
Yeah.
So I wouldn't sweat in my armpits.
I don't sweat.
I don't sweat.
I feel good.
I feel like dry.
I mean,
I still wear deodorant,
but I feel.
Well, I'm glad that you do because you're sitting next to me.
I don't want to smell you.
I don't know
Botox is not permanent
And neither are lip fillers
And so I would be just
Breast implants is one thing
But like lips are on your face
So I'm not sure if I would get the lip implant
I think they're beautiful though
Do you?
I've never seen them
We have a couple people here in the office
You have them
And then I've seen people come in and do them
And they're just as beautiful as the filler
See for me as a mom
I feel like if it takes less time
And the longer like it lasts
And I don't have to worry about it
it's just going to be there, then I feel like it's a, not like 100% go, but like definitely
an option to look into.
Yeah, absolutely.
It's like your eyebrows, you know?
But what's the process?
Like, how do you, I mean.
So they just cut an incision inside of your lip.
Oh, inside.
Okay, so there's no stars on the outside.
Nope, on the outside.
Then they'll just slide that thing right on in there, top and bottom.
Do you have them?
I don't.
You're going to be very, very, very, very swollen, you know, for the next two days.
You're going to look like five March Simpsons.
You will love, love, love your results a week later.
Okay.
Well, I mean, I'm definitely looking to it.
It's a forever lasting thing so you don't ever have to do again.
So you don't have to get lip fillers again.
Okay.
But the lip filler, I will tell you, I read all this stuff.
And after your reaction to what happened with you, I read all this stuff about, you know, all of these botched jobs.
And basically what I came to the conclusion of is go to the right place, make sure that the product that they're using is a good product.
And make sure that the doctor that you're using is you're comfortable with.
Because certified at that, that's so important to make sure that you have.
If you're going under any surgery, that surgery needs to be bored.
I've seen, I've heard, like, so many horror stories of, like, cement in people's faces or, like, their butts.
And, like, I'm not trying to go unbatched.
No, I don't want to be unbatched.
I know I just don't want to have to get anything fixed.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And see, my whole experience with, like, the way that y'all did the topical and everything, I won't say that, like, I didn't feel it because that would just be a lie.
but what I felt was just like almost
maybe just like a little uncomfortable
just because a foreign object's going into your lip, you know,
but it wasn't like painful, I guess is the word.
You think the tool helped.
Some of the...
Yeah, I think the tool definitely helped
because it just makes you think about something else.
You know, like your focus is on,
they use this tool to...
It's like a vibrating tool.
Oh, that's what they did when I got my Botox in my armpits.
Yeah.
I have to say I didn't feel the needle,
not even a little bit.
They use their like topical numbing.
Yeah.
But you still felt it a little bit?
Well, I just felt it a little bit.
Well, your lips are the most sensitive area.
So you're going to definitely feel it, but the numbing helps drastically.
Well, I just felt it like more so like in the corners.
And then like at the top right there was the only place I felt it.
But it wasn't like what I would say like hurt.
You know.
Okay.
The flipper is the worst.
This part?
The flipper.
Yeah.
That's what's called.
This right in the center.
It's called the heart.
We're like the heart.
I call it the Cupid's Bell.
Yeah, that's what I would call Cupid's bow.
That's what we say when we flip it.
Oh, yeah.
You give it volume.
It's a flipper.
Okay, fair enough.
So they flip it up.
So you have one.
Because I didn't really have much of it before.
Yeah, but your lips are not so pretty.
Do you know, for my, I've had so much work done.
I think most of my work done is actually to my mouth.
Really?
Out of all my stuff.
Yeah, out of all anything I've done.
Your teeth?
I had, I did braces, retainers, gum surgery to like,
give myself like nice or yeah i mean i had really tight gums i mean i've spent over 10 000 just on my
my mouth oh my goodness oh my goodness but you feel better i feel so like my mouth yeah so it's like my
teeth and my skin i feel so much more confident yeah well when my skin clears up but yeah yes the first
thing honestly whenever i look at somebody is i look at their smile their smile and their skin
because it's the first thing you're skin i'm i just really need to get my skin under control that's the
next thing for me so i did my mouth i want to do my skin and we've talked about it for like
months now. Yeah, it's about that time. I'm 25, you know, I'm single. You're at the perfect age to start.
Need the skincare regimen. It's past your birthday. You know how perfectionist I am. It's like if it's past your birthday, you're late.
I'm already late. And, you know, now you're going to have to do preventative stuff because you're way late, you know.
And I mean, I think skincare is literally one thing that has just, I didn't have bad skin before, but I think it's just something that makes me feel better.
knowing that.
You age every day.
You know, you can have the prettiest skin in the world.
But if you're not using anything, you're just continuing to age and it's going to hit you at some point.
It's weird, though, because I feel like as I'm getting older, my skin is getting worse.
And I feel like...
You're aging.
Yeah, but it's weird, though, because I feel like...
Pharmulom.
But why didn't I have this acne when I was 15?
Yeah, I had acne, but not like this.
Pormons.
And it's like, we get patients all the time.
Like, they're growing hair.
It's like all over their face.
You know, they never have this spot before.
As you grow older, you know, it's unfortunate.
But we just start seeing things that we never had before.
Well, and especially with like pregnancy and every pregnancy treat your body differently.
So, you know, you might have experienced one thing with Isaac.
You might have experienced one thing with Lincoln.
And then this has been like a total outbreak of, you know, your face with.
Clux.
Like I didn't experience any acne.
The only thing I will say that is not fixable and maybe it is, but I would say probably not because it's with your bones.
Every child that you have, your hips are going to get wider.
Oh, yeah.
I like that, though.
I'm okay.
I'm way too narrow.
Except for those jeans.
Except for my favorite jeans I don't fit, I'll still take the wide hips.
That's fine.
Every child that you have your hips, I don't know if it's a myth, but I've heard it gets wider.
You have three kids.
I've only had one.
No, I can, I think at least for this last pregnancy, I can say yes.
Like my hips definitely got wider with Jackson.
But I think it might have just been the weight gain.
I don't know.
I don't know if it's the.
I think it's birthing.
Oh, yeah.
Well, you know what?
Do you feel like your body from since.
you've had your first to your last, do you feel like it's, like, you know, each pregnancy after is the same for you?
Or do you feel like it's different, been different?
Definitely been different.
And I would say my body afterwards has been different every time.
So that's a really good point because I don't know.
Was it you that I was telling about how after, basically, like, after the first year and then me working out and getting back in the gym, I like my body better now than before I had a baby.
I liked my favorite time.
I felt the most confident right before I got pregnant with flux.
So that was after two kids.
And I felt the most confident I've ever felt.
So I just want to get back to that.
And I feel like even though I have three kids, I can still get to that.
I just don't know.
Well, and it's like you try to juggle everything.
You know, it's like you're trying to juggle sports, dentist appointments, doctor's appointments.
I don't have time for the gym.
That's the biggest problem right now is like I don't want to get all the surgery and not be able to maintain my body.
so I need to find something, some happy medium where, you know, if I wanted to get another procedure.
Why don't you do they have like all sorts of like mom, like you can buy like mom like workouts that you can do at home?
Well, I just don't have a dedication for that.
If I go to the gym, they're going to hold me accountable for working out.
Like the one time at CrossFit, I went during open gym and I'm literally holding Lux while I'm doing squats.
Like I'm just holding him because I was like I need to work out.
And I think that even though like be a mom's and like,
like wanting to be, you know, entrepreneurs and not having like this typical 9 to 5 job and
whatever. So you can stay at home and really enjoy being with your kids. It's like you try to
juggle every little thing. It's like you want to look your best. You want to be the best mom.
You want to be the best this. You want to be the best of everything. And it's like you're
half-assing a lot of stuff, you know, because you're just trying to be everywhere all the time.
And you can never be like 100% into something. For me, it was I don't want to age.
like I'm fearful of getting older.
I don't want to look older.
You know, you don't, you feed into this like stigma that's on social media of, you know,
you have to look the best.
You're wanting to compete with people.
And whether you're a competitive personality or not or think that you are, you look at other
girls on social media and you're like, okay, you know, I think that girl is beautiful.
Or, you know, I wish that, you know, my butt was a little bit more like her.
So I'm going to do like her workout that she's.
post or whatever. It's like you're trying to like fit and be perfect on everything, you know. And for me,
the skincare was a step in the right direction. I started that whenever I was 25. I feel like I've
just gotten better with it as, you know, I'm four years into doing like fully skincare regimen,
whatever you want to call it. And I feel like I've got that pretty much under control. And now it's
like just do the gym. And I'm in a whole different situation than you. Because I, I,
have one child and I'm comfortable with one kid, you know, and he's almost five,
and so it's kind of getting to...
It's becoming independent, and you can do more things.
Yeah, it's hard.
And for me, like, I can go to my basement and I can work out, and Jackson can be in the other
room watching TV, and it's like, I'm getting everything that I want that.
You know, and for you, it's like you have a two-month-old that needs a bottle every two
hours and, like, you're hardly sleeping.
Oh, man, yeah.
But I feel like even, I think I could work through the not-sumptu.
sleeping thing at night if I had perfect skin because I think I would still be like, oh, it's fine,
because I don't have to spend an hour in the morning trying to cover these blemishes.
I know.
It's something, I couldn't imagine having, I wouldn't say your skin's bad skin, but I couldn't
imagine having, like, constant blemishes of wanting to, like, cover it up.
It's, I say it's the worst curse.
I agree.
I agree.
I definitely went through that transition.
You know, like, I mean, especially for, did you have acne?
Mm-hmm, really bad.
You did?
You would never be able to tell your skin looks so good.
Like literally, the second I started on skincare and skin services, I'd never put makeup on again.
Like, I hate wearing makeup.
I hate it.
I used to be the girls.
I literally remember being the girl, like, with my sister, like, when we were young and be like, I,
spread of God, I'm going to wake up every morning and do my makeup before my husband or me.
You know, like, I was that girl thinking I was going to wake up super early.
That's so unrealistic.
You know, when you're young, that's just, you think that you always have to be so beautiful.
No, but that's like me now.
I just like, I don't want to wear a full face makeup every day because, because one, that's not me.
and too. I just don't have the time. And so if I have good skin, I'll feel good enough to just
throw my hair up and walk out. Well, and it's not really healthy, to be honest, like to put all
those products on your face on a daily basis. It's, like it's, it's not, it's really bad.
Like, you should have a good moisturizer. You should have, you know. Always cleaning your skin
before, when you wake up and before you go to sleep, that's really important. It grosses me out
so much when somebody says they go to sleep in their makeup. I've done it. I will not lie. I've done it so many times.
But I will never do it again after I have done it.
I never do it.
Like never.
Oh my gosh.
It freaks me out.
Like people who go to bed with their makeup on it, it's like, why are you doing that?
First off, you're ruining your sheets.
For me, it was just pure laziness.
I didn't know anything about skin either, you know?
I didn't know.
I didn't know we were supposed to take care of it, you know, so I'm just sleeping in it, thinking it's normal.
If you put makeup on to get ready to go somewhere, when you go to bed, you're not going
anywhere. So why does it need to be on your face?
I think it's just the lazy factor.
It's just a lazy. I have really calling out on my shit right now because I have definitely
worn makeup to bed. I'm super lazy. Well, I'm not anymore. Now I will never do it. I barely
wear makeup, but I was just like that. But at home, I would never wear makeup like this.
At home, I literally do my lashes and I'm leaving. But I don't feel good because my skin is bad.
So like you would say if your skin was like, best case scenario, your skin was perfect. You
didn't have any blemishes, you could just throw on mascara.
And walk out the door and I'd be completely confident.
And you're getting your brows micrubrelated.
Yes, and I'll be so happy.
I think that's...
You would be happy.
Yeah.
I think I'd be...
And if my body was where I needed to be, you know, having this baby really will mess with
your self-esteem a little bit.
Well, and a lot of...
But I still love him.
A lot of people, though, okay, I see this...
I still love him.
He's worth it.
I see, I'm glad that you threw that in there.
I still love him now.
Right, and it's fine.
It's fine, but I'm still feeling a little...
Low self-esteem right now. A lot of people, though, you know, I feel like you get on, I keep going back to the social media thing, but you get on the social media and, you know, Instagram, Twitter, you know, whatever it is. And it's like, you know, this is a truth post. This is like what I really look like. And it's like, I know you put auto tune on that. I mean, auto tune like, what is it?
A filter? Yeah. You know, that's like singers. Singers put like auto tune like on their. Yeah. Yeah, no. She's putting a filter on it. She's putting a filter. She's putting a filter. She's putting a filter.
filter on there.
You shouldn't have to feel like you need to put a filter on there.
Yeah.
I mean,
but look at Snapchat.
They've got filters and filters.
And I'm guilty.
I am guilty.
You know,
like I put a filter,
you know,
but I'm just saying a lot of people go on there and they're like,
this is a,
this is a truth post.
Like,
I am just me.
And,
like no makeup.
I'm like,
honey,
no.
Hashtag no filter.
Hashtag no makeup.
Hashtag,
there's definitely a filter.
Hello.
Don't try it.
Hashtag the blemish button that you clicked 95 times before you post.
Or you posted that photo?
And then your copy and then just, you know, we are built you back to.
Like, if you have, like, I try to own it.
I know I have acne.
I don't need someone else to point it out for me.
You know what I mean?
So I feel like something like that is just like if we can correct it.
Yeah, but I'm, I hate how people call other people's insecurities.
Like, I think that is awful.
It's horrible.
And it's like for me, like, I'm my greatest critic.
And like, I'm always second guessing, always weighing all the options.
You know, I don't need somebody else.
I couldn't imagine living in your shoes.
Saying something about me.
That I'll always call my.
out before anyone else.
How do you feel before you all post the, like,
picture? Do you criticize it so much
before you even post it? I won't. I don't take selfies ever.
I don't like, if I take a selfie, it's because I
have to and I don't, I won't.
Can we do our rapid fire questions now?
Yes. Yes. Let's do some rapid power questions.
So what should I shoot do you guys wear?
I wear an eight and a half.
I wear between a seven and a seven and a half.
Seven and seven and a half?
Uh-huh.
What are your favorite emojis?
Give me your favorite.
The crying laughing one.
Oh, let me see. I'm going to look and see what ones I use the most.
I think I use the crying laughing one.
all the time, don't I? Oh, when I use the eye rolling emoji all the time. Oh, that's my
probably second favorite. And this one. No, I like the devil horn one. Oh, you like the deviled one.
But that's like for like dirty text messages, I feel like. Okay, see, I don't do that. I don't do the
dirty text message. I don't sexting. I don't sex. I don't either, but I definitely don't sex. I definitely
don't sex. Or do I. I don't know. No, like I don't. No. Like, if anybody ever sexed in me,
I would be like, get out. Like, lose my number. I'm calling. I'm calling.
It's totally unattracted.
Like, you're nasty.
Really?
You don't text ever.
I've never sexed either.
Because I feel like people who sexed.
You're a liar.
And I feel like people who sex would never do that in real life.
Like if you were in person, never.
So then why would you do something over the phone that you wouldn't do like in real life?
You know what I mean?
Like if you wouldn't do it in person, why would you do it over the phone?
Next question.
Right.
I just need to pass.
I want to answer any of these questions.
I'm just answering.
Okay.
And my other favorite emoji is the girl with her hands out by her side.
Like, I don't know.
I don't know.
Don't care.
It could mean anything.
It could mean anything.
Like, clueless.
Like, don't know.
First of all is what I'm like.
First of all.
First of all.
So.
Kail likes to say first of all.
I love it.
First of all.
I love it.
But it's like I said it before it became a thing.
It became a thing.
I was always saying it way before.
First of all, we need to go to bed.
My kids will tell you first of all, we need to go to bed.
Like Kale needs to learn a new transition from.
We do.
I love the first of all.
Second, like, what are you going to say next?
I don't know.
I love it.
I stopped at, first of all.
So what's the first thing you guys do when you wake up in the morning?
I'm a prayer.
Really?
Oh my God, that's so good.
I feel like such a loser.
Wow, I feel like a person because I just.
Stop.
So, like, you pray, like, when you wake up in the morning, because I pray before I go to bed.
I have that I learned about a year ago.
And it's just, it's really simple.
It's just like three things.
Learned it at my church.
Let's hear it.
It is, I am loved.
I'm a child of God.
And he is pleased with me.
just remind me that every day I'm living for him, not nobody else.
You know, so people can dash me and say what they want, but I'm living for God.
I literally just brush my teeth.
Like, that's what I do too.
But I pray before I go to bed.
Like, I say my prayers before bed, but I really feel like I should pray before the day.
You know, like it gets you a good start to the day.
It's a good start.
It's a happier, positive, positive fun.
Yeah, you definitely have a positive energy about you.
So that's probably.
It's definitely because she's praying good prayers before.
I'm a fun girl.
She starts her day.
she lives, you know, like she's praying good friends. But I don't do anything before I brush my teeth.
No, I don't even think I have thought. Like I don't talk to anybody. You don't take your phone?
You don't take your phone. I literally would like roll out of bed. I don't even have a thought before I brush
my teeth. No, I don't talk to anybody before I brush my teeth. It's like a huge, not that like my
teeth probably even smell. Like I don't even know. Like I'm just so self-conscious about bad breath.
Like, I don't. I don't want anybody kills like, I'm not going to breathe. I don't know. I don't
I don't like people who have bad breath.
If you have bad breath, I'll talk to me.
It's so unattractive.
We'll tell me if I ever do.
Oh, I will tell you.
Okay.
I'll be like, your breath is kicking.
Like, Van Claude Dickin.
That was the good one.
I liked it.
Next question.
So do you guys like Twitter or Instagram more?
What do you guys like?
I have a love-hate relationship with Bo.
Really?
Okay.
Definitely.
I like Twitter, but also, like I want to say what I want, but I also don't want to
hear what people have to say about what I have to say.
Okay.
So basically what I love.
Basically what Kail's saying, Kail's saying she likes to give her opinion, but she doesn't want to hear other people's opinion.
Exactly.
So I like Twitter because I feel like you can personally, like, relate to people.
There's more of like a personal interaction.
Yeah, there's like more of a personal interaction there.
If you post something and it's like, you know, you post something positive and somebody is like, you made my day or something like that.
You know, it makes you feel so good.
And then with Instagram, it's like, you know, you're trying to keep people up to date with, you know.
if you change your look or like what you're doing for the day or you know how your kids growing
because people are interested in that they like the kids more than me they like the kids and so i i like that
touch so i think there's two totally different but i like them both for those reasons yes agreed but if you
had to delete an app which one would you delete first twitter i would delete twitter first too because
i'm nosy and i want to see what everybody else is doing on instagram yeah i agree i don't i could
yeah yeah it's the best way so i'm going to kind of ask a question off topic real quick just
I want you both to give me your own answers.
Okay.
So tell me what you guys think has been the best thing that you've done since you've had your children that's given you the most confidence.
Oh.
What do you think is giving you the most confidence or giving you some confidence back since you've had your baby or babies?
I think I'm having still a problem finding that right now.
Really?
Just because I am only three months postpartum.
You're in progress.
I'm in progress.
I would have to say.
I don't have an answer right now.
Okay.
For me, I have two answers.
So I think the criticism has helped me because it's helped me grow a thicker skin because I am very sensitive.
And I've had to learn to be, you know, okay with the criticism.
And the things that people have pointed out that I already knew about myself that I wanted to change, like my nose.
You know, no one ever said anything about my boobs because they couldn't see my boobs.
You know, I saw that.
But that was something that I changed that just made me feel more confident about myself.
I hated my profile and now it's, you know, something that was very easily changed.
And I like it and my lips because I actually feel like I have some now.
No, you do.
Her lips, if you guys can see them, they're gorgeous.
They're so pretty.
So I love your lips.
But that's all the questions I had for you, ladies.
Well, thank you guys for listening to Coffee Combos.
And we will see you guys next week.
Thanks for having me, ladies.
I have a blast.
Thank you.
Okay.
Bye, guys.
Bye.
