Starting point is 00:00:00 I hate gift-giving and receiving receiving gifts is so weird. What do you say? Thank you This is coffee convos with Kale Lowry and Lindsay Chrisley. I really want you to be in your feels Kale That does not interest me whatsoever. I feel very attacked by you a spirited discussion about motherhood friendship Family and life in the public eye. I'm just not with the fakery anymore. There's a fakery bakery around here. Here's Kale and Lindsay Hey, hey everybody Hey Are you okay? No, I don't know why I lost my voice. I think my vocal lessons are really wearing me out. Wait, you're taking them actually no
Starting point is 00:00:36 I made that up. Okay. Wait, so is the bad voice coming from Basketball games over the weekend or is this allergy related or what's going on? I've been crying for about a week straight actually, so I think I am just making My body is worn out and my mind is worn out kill. Yeah Why didn't you tell me you have been crying for a week? I just been it's been an emotional week for me And I honestly just don't really know Why because I feel like on a normal like regular day. I handle most of the shit like We just get through it and like I have not
Starting point is 00:01:14 Been able to do that lately. So are you just overwhelmed like you just have things going on that? Yeah, I am overwhelmed I'm very overwhelmed. There's been a lot that hit me at once And then, you know, Javi and I went through like we're just like in a really weird place Which makes it really difficult and then like I'm trying to not be friends with him again so that I don't Fall back into this like we hate each other every two weeks kind of thing because it's exhausting. It's draining and You know, I have just like a bunch going on I actually went to go pay for a portion of my pool to be installed at my new house and They told me they were like hey and just want to let you know that you know
Starting point is 00:01:54 We can no longer start this month. We're actually gonna start next year. Oh, wait, what that's what I said I was like wait, I'm sorry. Did you mean next week may June of next year because I thought maybe she thought we were still in December So I was like Actually, we're in 2022. She's like, yeah, I know She's like May or June of 2023. Oh Wow So that's what which means that I won't have a pool this summer or next summer Because it'll take a couple months
Starting point is 00:02:22 To get it all situated and I was like, oh wow like okay, so I don't know that makes me sad for you because I know how much you guys do use the pool in the summertime and Not that it's free entertainment and I don't want to act like it's free entertainment because having some more convenient That's going to a water park. Yeah, but like having pools is expensive and like the maintenance and whatever but It is so nice to be able to just like be like, hey, we have built an entertainment. We can just go in the backyard Yeah, and obviously this is first world problems. So I understand that not everyone can have a pool at all So I do want to be sensitive to that but also want to say like, you know, I really work hard for my money And you know what the things that I have so
Starting point is 00:03:06 Yeah, I was I was a little bummed out So now I have to explain to the kids that they will not be swimming at my house this year Bless their hearts. Well, they will be okay. Um, they will how was the weekend did the weekend was awful It was very sad and It just wasn't a good time for me kill Like we're gonna we're gonna switch the mood around. Okay. I mean I saw the intro. I'm down till just like switch it up a little Yeah, I don't want you to be sad and feeling like weird. How are you feeling? Um, I'm feeling I'm thriving today. Good. Actually, good. I loved the last Instagram picture that you posted
Starting point is 00:03:45 I thought you looked so fucking cute. Um, thanks. Give me tell you a little story about that last Instagram picture Because I've gotten so many deums of people being like Lindsay, I know that is a men's car heart sweatshirt and it's bigger than you So who's your boyfriend? Oh? I'm like, who's your boyfriend, honey? I wish I could tell you like a really hot Successful kind generous Gentlemen gentlemen, but unfortunately I was shopping in the men's section at Dix and I bought that for myself so
Starting point is 00:04:27 You're like, um, I it's okay for people to think that you have a boyfriend But that's actually really funny. I didn't know it was a men's hoodie because I don't I'm not really super familiar with car heart But that's hilarious. Oh my gosh, and then outside of that kill that shit that you sent me about Kanye West dressing as a tree on Instagram at the end of last week or at the beginning of this week whenever it was I was legitimately dead, but like also
Starting point is 00:04:55 Very concerned and like do we think that this is fake news? Yeah, does it look pretty real from what you sent me? It definitely looked very real. I definitely think it was concerning Slightly hilarious even though it's concerning and also probably something I would do wait you would dress as a tree for sure Actually, I'm gonna tell you this what we're what we're planning on doing tonight. Okay, tell me so You know, I mean, I are not really on good terms. Well, it depends on the day, but I bought an Annabelle doll off of Amazon yes, and You know
Starting point is 00:05:35 Lincoln and his dad are fine. So we decided that after school today Lincoln's gonna go stop it. I'm gonna drive him to his dad's gonna stop over there really quick and he's going to Distract Javi while Isaac puts the Annabelle doll in Javi's bed Do we think that's like the same as Kanye dressing up as a bush? No, I feel like Kanye dressing up as a bush if I ever found out that you dress up as a bush and working walking around Looking like that bush that I saw and these pictures will be posted Um, I'm not gonna lie like I probably wouldn't answer your calls or texts for like at least 48 hours I mean, I think that's fair. I feel like that's fair
Starting point is 00:06:19 I wonder like how does kim react to that like if she didn't see him dress up as a bush and then she sees it online Like what would you think at that point? Like it's just so It's so outlandish that it makes me laugh and for those of you who have no idea what the fuck we're talking about um There was this rumor going around town and these photos about Kanye West being spotted outside of kim Kardashian's house dressed as a tree and actually there was an article That was put out after the fact saying that it's not true and it's false and um,
Starting point is 00:06:55 It just didn't happen but I'm like, okay Well, where did those pictures come from because like it legitimately looks like Kanye with bushes on him I don't understand him. I'm pretty sure him and Julia Fox broke up. So so much for her for her being his muse Yeah, I'm kind of glad that that happened to be perfectly honest. Are you happy about this? Are you? I mean, yeah, I definitely think it was I felt like if it was kim k she would um Like it almost felt like Julia Fox like aided up and like took interviews about it and like
Starting point is 00:07:28 I don't know. It just didn't feel like genuine. It felt like there was an ulterior motive and kind of like She loved the press around it where I feel like kim k would have been more like unbothered and like acted Like she's unfazed and not really taking interviews. I just felt like Julia was very weird for that She was very weird for that. We didn't like her for that and I'm not even gonna pretend like I liked her I did not like her at all like anytime she spoke. I felt like I was disgusted Just If you need to know the truth about how I feel um, no one asked but I'm gonna tell you Did you know that in the last year the rates of anxiety and depression have doubled in the u.s
Starting point is 00:08:07 It could take weeks or months to get a traditional therapy appointment and it's just super discouraging But psychiatrist visits can cost up to $500 per session as well. It's just a lot of money So I don't know if you guys know but it's like over a hundred around a hundred per session Which can be thousands of dollars in one year cerebral is an online Mental health service that offers prescription medication counseling and therapy for anxiety depression adhd insomnia and more When I was looking for my therapist It took me a really long time to find someone that actually called back and I called between 13 and 15 different places and nobody ever got back to me or if they did they were booked and they couldn't see me for months
Starting point is 00:08:49 And when you go through something sometimes you need it immediately or you want to get kind of started before something big happens And I just really advocate for mental health and therapy and all of that So if you guys are wanting to see someone or speak to someone I definitely recommend cerebral especially because you don't have to wait in the waiting rooms and things like that They offer services like prescription medication through a licensed provider and they ship the medication straight to your door Which is a huge thing especially and you know, we're still kind of going through this pandemic and things like that So definitely check this out. There is unlimited messaging with your care team as well Which is super helpful and convenient and with cerebral mobile app
Starting point is 00:09:24 It's like having your personal care team wherever you are So you can connect with your counselor and therapist on your own schedule through your laptop or through the cerebral mobile app And you just schedule sessions based on what's most convenient for you Like keel said, you don't have to wait weeks to be seen Which is a huge plus and you can do your sessions all on a laptop or a phone So I think that that's awesome that you can find a place within your own home where you're most comfortable And affordable treatments that are one third of the price of traditional therapy So that's also a huge win and treatment options are available with or without insurance
Starting point is 00:10:03 Cerebral is in network for several insurers and they're working every day to grow their partners And even if you're out of network, they'll provide you with the necessary paperwork so that you can easily submit a claim And I think this is just phenomenal and Simone Biles is their chief impact officer She's a huge advocate for mental health and reducing stigmas around getting treatment. I met her I love her. I think she's the sweetest if she believes in it. I think it's safe to trust you know what she stands for and Breaking the stigmas around mental health and therapy and you guys know I've been in therapy for two and a half years So definitely check this out for our listeners of this program

Did you catch the teen mom family reunion this week? I did. Um, I actually watched a rerun this morning because I didn't I still don't have cable and internet So I have to watch from like my phone or my computer. Um I I actually don't have a whole lot to say I felt like there was no drama this episode, which is a good thing That's what I would have hoped for the cast the entire time was like truly therapy based like growth based and things like that
Starting point is 00:11:29 Um, I don't have a whole lot to say. I felt like it was a little bit boring But when it's boring, I feel like that means that you know, there's no drama, which is good Um, but Ashley, you know wants bar to be more romantic and she wants some romance in her life And I feel like that's very fair and valid especially after being in a relationship or a marriage for six seven years Um, it's easy to kind of go through the motions of life and not really prioritize each other or you know yourself So I do think that was a cute, you know Little conversation they had they went on a little date and there was rose petals and things like that but
Starting point is 00:12:02 Um, as long as they are able to implement that into their real every day lives Like I obviously wish them the best and hope that they they can find their balance so I think that Some of this stuff that's going on on the show obviously very you know has to go on for the production to go on But with that being said, I feel the same way kind of about this as I do any of the bachelor shows. It's like, okay um I would hate to see them
Starting point is 00:12:34 Making these efforts on the show but not being able to apply those things in real life. It's kind of like Bachelor bachelorette they go on these lavish trips and then they get home and settle into real day-to-day life And people wonder why those relationships don't work and it's like, okay. Well, they were basically secluded and and being given these things that they can do that are like so exciting and so fun and they have help and Whatever then they can't implement it into their real lives every day life so I just hope that some of these things can continue to happen and I think what ashley
Starting point is 00:13:14 said is very valid about You know feeling like You can't quite put your finger on something I think a lot of people have been there in a relationship where you can't put your finger on like what it is that's wrong But you know, there's something wrong and something's not clicking and so I can definitely say I can relate to that Do you have thoughts on lia introducing her boyfriend? in that whole situation um
Starting point is 00:13:44 Yes, I have a couple um At first I was like, okay. I don't know about this guy And then I was like, okay. Well, maybe like he might be okay Um, I didn't like how he answered about her being a single mom and about his family Did you notice that? Yeah, I feel like he didn't really answer the question. He kind of deflected a little bit. Yeah, and so yeah I agree. I don't know if that was like an intentional deflection or maybe just
Starting point is 00:14:14 Some of the stuff could be a barrier that he's never like really filmed before but at this point Hasn't he already been filming on teen mom 2 or we don't know that? I mean, I don't think we know that for sure. I think it can be It would be a good guess. Um I'm not completely sold on him. I'm still having reservations About him, but I completely resonate with lia when she says that, you know, she's guarded and she doesn't really trust and I think all of the girls have a conversation where they say that they self sabotage And I feel like I definitely resonated with that. It's like I could truly and wholeheartedly be in love with someone And literally I'm like, well, let me push them as far as I can push them to see if they leave. So
Starting point is 00:15:00 Right before they leave I leave and say see look what they you know what I mean? Like look look what happened I wonder what Cause is that because I found myself doing that and I would say rejection and abandonment All relationships though. Like I don't even think it's just necessarily a romantic relationship. Like I'll find myself doing weird stuff with friends being like how far can I push that? boundary that line boundary To see like is that person gonna give up on me? I definitely do that. Or are we gonna ride it out? And I and it's weird because I'll be like Um pushing them to like literally the edge and then I'll be like see I knew you couldn't handle it like I knew you couldn't handle being with me
Starting point is 00:15:40 Yeah, like why do we do that? I don't know Maybe if we go to teen mom family reunion season two then we can talk to dr. Bryant and see what she thinks Like why we do that? Maybe we can dive deep into Why we feel like those things are okay. I don't think that I'm gonna attend. I don't know if I said that before but I'm I'm leaning more towards no a lot of people are asking about it. Um What would be your reservations for not doing it? Um I think
Starting point is 00:16:12 I could do personal growth in therapy and things on my own And I don't know that I necessarily need to be around people who I don't see on a regular basis and are not part of my life on a Regular basis. I don't think I need to do therapy with them I feel like it would be more stressful and I just am not I don't know like I love that some of the people really loved their experience like I'm glad that they got a good experience I just for me. I just don't know if I like want to even do that. Like you get what I'm saying for sure, I will say um Cheyenne said something on the episode that
Starting point is 00:16:48 definitely Hit for me and it was something I guess she said her mom or her dad had said I can't remember about finding Someone that can what was the what was it that she said stimulate your mind not just your body? and And if anyone takes anything out of that episode, I think that's it that because Nothing could be more true than that. Oh a hundred percent I've been in relationships where I felt like it was all physical and no mental and then I've been in relationships where I feel like
Starting point is 00:17:23 This person takes care of me, but absolutely does not push me challenge me or any type of stimulation in a mindful way and in You know stimulates my mind at all. Yeah, I need to be with someone who's smart Who's smart? Yeah, and can intellectually Challenge me. It's like, you know, it's all good and great. The sexual chemistry can be there um, but that's not going to keep you engaged for Forever right agreed. I agree, but overall thoughts on the episode. Um, I heard Outside of my overall thoughts. I got a message talking about how Gary must have listened to coffee convos because he
Starting point is 00:18:08 He shaved the chin strap. So I don't know Gary surely if you're listening to this or not. Um, but if you are Love that for you. Um, how do we know is it confirmed somewhere? Yeah, there was a picture Where on incident facebook? I don't know. It was just like sent to me and there was Gary with no chin strap And I'm gonna die laughing if someone photoshopped that sent it to me and he actually still has a chin strap So again, Gary surely if you're listening to this Please confirm or deny if the chin strap is There or if it has vacated the premises of your face. I need to go see if he has an Instagram
Starting point is 00:18:48 I'm just he have an Instagram Gary. It's Gary time. Oh, he follows me and I don't even follow him So I just follow him back. He has no pictures on here. So it's hard to say um Gary and his chin strap I'm I've done overall thoughts on the episode though. Um, I will also Just say this really briefly before we move along that I didn't know
Starting point is 00:19:14 That jade's baby dad had never been to rehab before this last time like I had no idea about that I didn't know he was abusing a substance abuser or addict for 10 years on and off. I didn't know that So I do feel like I'm kind of learning a little bit of information. Um Speaking of that, let me just say this. I did see that jade Wished her daughter a happy birthday from there. Um, I don't want to mom shame, but that's another reason I don't think I could like I would never miss my kid's birthday to be there with team mom cast. I think um When you've been doing something for so long that your focus
Starting point is 00:19:53 Changes and decisions that you would make. I'm not saying that you would ever make that decision period because I don't think that you would but generally speaking for Just collect, you know, like a collective whatever. Um, I think that your decision Making changes and looks very different when you've been in the game doing something for a very long time versus when You're still relatively new I okay, that's fair. I definitely think that's a fair um, a fair statement you know tour in the beginning of team mom too and
Starting point is 00:20:29 Uh, when I first Became hard of the cast because as you guys know if you guys don't remember I was added very late I was supposed to be on 16 and pregnant season 2 b which is the second part of 10 girls and at the very last minute they switched me to 10 Season 2 a because they already had two adoption stories. And so then I was Asked to be on team mom too. And so I I will agree with your statement in that if it was season 1 2 of Team mom and we did this. I probably would have maybe considered, you know, missing a child's birthday because it just
Starting point is 00:21:04 Who knows how how often we're going to get this opportunity or how long this is going to continue and so in that aspect I could agree with you. Um This is not related to you on family reunion final thoughts on that I did think that the episode with the less drama Was better you did Like yeah, but could it go long standing long running? Could you watch an entire season like that? No, um, and I think Maybe if there was a little bit better balancing going on and there was like
Starting point is 00:21:38 50 50 like 50% good parts and then 50% dramas some of these episodes I feel are so loaded with the drama that It's hard to get to the actual point and the real reason that they're doing the show and so Um, and I guess I just don't understand having beef with people in the way that The beef goes on within the franchise With people that you don't see regularly or don't really affect your life. That's something I will never understand but then I also think that um
Starting point is 00:22:15 There is a lot of pride when it comes to the show whether it be og or whether it be two and I think that When you have shared so much of your story when You've been doing it for as long as you have and then you have newer girls come in. It's no It's nothing negative really to them. It's just like, okay they're I would have to tend to agree with Ferris statement, but on a very smaller scale that y'all have built
Starting point is 00:22:47 this franchise and And other people have been able to come in since y'all started And able to benefit off of that and so I think that a lot of the hostility underlying probably comes from that whether people want to admit it or whether they don't And that's okay because you know girls are going to be girls It's weird though because I definitely think that there is some validity in that because I I definitely think that that's how I felt a little bit at first with jade Um, I didn't feel that way with Brianna because I already knew Brianna at the time
Starting point is 00:23:21 So originally there was no beef at all. Like it was like, okay. She was cool Like I resonated with her story the most out of team mom three Um, which is crazy. There has right. It's actually really crazy when you think about where we're at now Um, it is very strange to think about it that like that because I definitely could see but then there's like keila from Um, young and pregnant and I have absolutely no issues with her. I don't feel like she is, you know, she's on young and pregnant Still, I don't feel like they have um, like truly Benefited off of anything that I built
Starting point is 00:23:56 Um, I don't feel threatened by her or anything like that or any of the young and pregnant girls. Does that make sense? I will just say as a personal friend when you are the face on Netflix other people have benefited from what you've done. So I think that there is validity and Some of that across the board whether it be og girls um team mom two girls and That to me is where most of the underlying issues come from. I agree outside of that
Starting point is 00:24:29 One more teen mom thing before we move on. Oh, you're laughing. What happened? So remember me telling you that, um Krista Horton, she's a blogger if any of you guys know, I follow her. I follow her and she's yeah literally fucking hilarious and She was talking about how her husband Bryce, but she calls in bruce. Um, what? Yeah, she calls in bruce That he was like buying these cotton balls that like pharaoh wiped her asshole with no. No, he didn't No, he did not buy them. He like legitimately didn't but it was a joke and she was like playing all of this out on stories
Starting point is 00:25:10 Well, then I watched this right and then later on in the day I see where the united states postal service official account had posted a comment on one of pharaoh's lives and it was about toxic waste in the mail and that usps official says, yeah, we ain't sending these packages out
Starting point is 00:25:39 What? and I was like, um Okay, and there you have it. So you need to call up betx. You need to call uh, ups because your Asked why cotton balls are not going through united states postal service. So there's that. I mean, I would imagine that that has to be Like illegal. I mean if you're throwing poop is a felony Then mailing poop should at least be a misdemeanor. Yeah, but like is it mailing poop is if it's just like wipe it on her But that is toxic waste
Starting point is 00:26:14 No, and no, fuck that like I cannot what if it's no poop though? Like what if she like let's just say a hypothetical situation that And I like I said it's hypothetical. I'm completely making this up because I have made this up What if she went into the bathroom and used like a dude wipe wiped her asshole? Swiped the cotton ball on it and then nailed it. That should be a minimum a misdemeanor I can you not can you not? I I'm upset like I'm
Starting point is 00:26:52 I am Maybe I should put some Nutella on a cotton ball and mail it And see what happens. Like do they think it's a fair gift? Like do they think it's I purchased from ferris website? I'll put I'll put a pack with the Annabelle if I get a cotton ball to my house That has Nutella on it. No, that's a felony. I will slingshit on your new front porch. Not on my new porch Not on the new porch. Like literally I will commit it. I can't like I will I will commit it Don't be wiping your asshole and sending cotton balls to my house
Starting point is 00:27:30 You sent the doodoo blanket that Jackson still uses to this day. It's a taco a burrito Yeah, well he calls it the doodoo blanket Um and it literally looks like Turd drippings on that blanket wait So I was watching love is blind season two last night and one of the contestants on there had The taco burrito blanket and I was like, oh my god, and I thought of Jackson. I was wondering if he still had it Yeah, he still has it. He still rolls with it. Um He thinks of you every single time he uses it

Starting point is 00:30:52 First of all, no, I don't even know about a girl that was missing at all so she was six years old um more than two years ago she was missing And it had been believed that she was taken by her non custodial parents The article says um That a girl went missing more than two years ago at the age of four was found alive by police monday Hiding underneath a staircase in the new york home
Starting point is 00:31:24 Paisley, I don't know how to say the last name is six years old found at the residence about 45 miles south of albany um after authorities had received a tip regarding her whereabouts um and Officers found her after an hour of searching in a makeshift room under the staircase leading to the basement This is like you shit like that show you I think it's Dan not like something I would do but yeah the show Yeah, yeah, it said that um The detective noted that something appeared odd about the staircase because he saw a blanket and then a flashing light between the steps
Starting point is 00:32:05 so He used a tool to remove several of the wooden steps and that's when the detectives saw a pair of tiny feet And after removing several more steps the child and her abductor were Discovered within the space that was small cold and wet wait, but why was the abductor with her? it says that paramedics examined her and after Um determining her to be in good health. She was returned to her legal guardian um And she had been reporting missing in july of 2019. Um, she had been believed to have been taken by her noncustodial parents
Starting point is 00:32:49 um and this person kimberley cooper and Kirk schultes Um and kirk schultes senior were all arrested and charged in her disappearance. Um Police had previously followed leads to the residents where paisley was ultimately found but said each time The residents had denied any knowledge of the little girls whereabouts and um, during some of the follow-ups to the house, um, they were permitted to
Starting point is 00:33:22 have limited access and they would go looking for the child and um, The crazy thing is is like the people that were allowing them limited access Knew where the child and her abductor were hidden within the house. Um, and knew that they wouldn't be found and like the pictures of where they were it almost looks like, um Like one of those industrial size like what you would see in a shop that like keeps tools Like one of those types of things and it has like dirty blankets and like stuffed animals and stuff down in it. Um,
Starting point is 00:34:04 and it says that uh Both of the schultes were charged with one count each of felony Of custodial interference in the first degree and a misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child I'm reading the article about it and I guess for me I under I could understand where the pain would be for the non custodial parents to not have access to their children But as the mom and as a human being I would have to look at the bigger picture and Really sit with the fact that if I'm not best for my children then my children need to be in someone else's hands Why you would then take your child or any child for those who you know
Starting point is 00:34:46 Don't essentially keep these children hostage You're keeping them hostage for what you're not doing things with them. You're not taking them out on activities You're not they're not going to school You're truly not doing anything that would benefit them and actually stunting their growth their development and giving them essentially PTSD Agreed on everything that you just said. I thought that was crazy. Like how How does something like that happen? I don't know like I just don't even understand like the entire story like how something like that happens And goes on for that long of a period of time. I'm blown away
Starting point is 00:35:25 And like how are they getting food and stuff, you know, I need to like reread this whole story because I guess I don't am I missing something like what am I missing? It doesn't make sense. Like the story doesn't I'm gonna I'm gonna follow up on this and try to gather more details and ask Instagram fam to like come through and people who are very invested to let us know more information Outside of that crime someone sent me a message and you were attached on it too. So I don't know if you saw this but someone said that OJ Simpson was innocent and No for us to talk about it on coffee combos and not to hate them But we should cover a story first of all we did
Starting point is 00:36:06 Um, it was a true crime quite some time ago. Was it our first true crime that we ever did? I think so the first yeah, we did it with summer the OJ Simpson and then This girl says that there's a documentary on his wife on showtime That she thinks shows another side and that she had had a sexual relationship with a killer that later on was found to be um The to be a rapist and a killer in SoCal and just an idea for us to cover it
Starting point is 00:36:37 so want to kind of gauge interest on If we're gonna be conspiracy theorists and like Deep dive into this and see If there is a potential that we think that he's Innocent I'm willing to explore this but I don't think that there is truly anything that could convince that could convince me that he's innocent Like I'm same with him as I am Scott Peterson And The black doll. Yeah, I see I'm stuck on George George hodell definitely killed the black doll. Yeah
Starting point is 00:37:10 The Scott Peterson stuff. I think you could convince me that he was innocent Um, but OJ Simpson. No way. No fucking way. There's no way. I'm going I'm going to watch whatever this is and we're gonna talk about it Oh a hundred percent, but I just want to know if anyone else feels like this that's listening to this and if You think that there's any type of validity Um, we'll just love to know other people's perspective and before we get into Some dugger stuff
Starting point is 00:37:39 Someone sent us a message and said hi Lindsay and Kale. I've been listening religiously to you guys from the start Um, and your segment on the dugger situation really struck a nerve even typing this now My hands are shaking. I was molested at 14 by the choreographer of a local musical that I was in I was in it was my first sexual experience and for years I felt like something that just happens to everyone until I told my now husband and he pointed out how Wrong the man was for what he had done Shortly after I came to terms with what had happened to me Kesha's song praying came on shuffle and I must have sat in the car for 20 to 30 minutes listening to it on repeat realizing
Starting point is 00:38:19 Absolutely nothing I can do about it now and the statute of limitations is up I recently learned that this man is now running for a local office And comes up on my social media feed regularly and all I can do is hope that he never did this to another child again Thank you both for all the difficult topics that you guys tackle on this podcast because I really appreciate you both first of all, I have absolute chills because I you know That is one person who wrote into us about thinking that it was normal and that happened to everybody Like can you imagine how many people go through this and they don't realize
Starting point is 00:38:56 That that's not normal and that's not usually how things should go That's not how things should ever go. Do you get what I'm saying? Like your first time that you ever have a sexual encounter should be consensual and by choice It should never be be because someone else Did it to you? Do you get what I'm saying? Agreed and And there are so many people that have written in I've seen on coffee convos instagram dms. I'm sure to your personal definitely to my personal that I've seen
Starting point is 00:39:25 That I'm just really proud that we are creating a safe place that people can anonymously send us stuff We can share this create an awareness um and for people to feel safe And this community makes me feel So proud and as much as I have grown to hate covering the dugger stuff um mainly because I am just Physically ill over it when I read more um
Starting point is 00:39:58 I do think that it has created a ton of awareness within this community and for that I love it. I also love it and I'm thankful that we have this so if you guys ever Feel something that's like super heavy on your shoulders that you feel like we need to read Um, definitely we will try to get to as many as we can and just share your stories and create awareness for our little community All right, you guys when it comes to looking good stitch picks has you covered say goodbye to endless browsing and hello to fresh picks curated for your Taste and size as a mother of four You will not catch me trying to search for clothes in the store and having four kids pull at me and want me to go into five Different directions. Starting point is 00:43:07 Or people in a relationship who are looking for some extra curricular fun Um, their slogan is life is short. Have an affair. I have so many problems with this What? Yes, ma'am Life is short. Don't get married. How about that? I have so many problems with this because the fact that a company can Make so much money and create a place for people to go to encourage this Is appalling to me. That's horrible like
Starting point is 00:43:43 If you're not wanting to be faithful and I understand like I have I have always said like I don't think cheating is black and white as everyone wants to you know, it's so horrible It's wrong. Yeah, we know all of that But I do think there are you know life happens and feelings happen and things like that But I mean if you're if you're talking about like seeking out an affair or seeking out someone to cheat with Don't get married and don't commit to somebody like there's there's a huge difference between like life and shit happens with Um, I don't know. I'm gonna get married, but I also want to sleep with other people. Just don't fucking do it Just be single
Starting point is 00:44:18 I Feel exactly all of those feelings. Um, so hackers Exposed users to this site by publishing names Oh IP addresses street addresses phone numbers and in some cases sexual preferences on the dark web um First of all, this is all just like so morally corrupt Here, but then could you imagine like I love the fact that hackers got into this because
Starting point is 00:44:52 These people should be exposed in my opinion Like why I just can't believe this Why is this like a private thing like this makes me so ill? So Josh Duggar had signed up using a credit card linked to a billing address that matched his grandmother's home in Fayetteville, arkansas What the fuck? Allegedly, he paid 986 dollars and 75 cents during his two-year subscription
Starting point is 00:45:20 And he was paying in order to find an extramarital partner for the following apps Conventional sex experimenting with sex toys One night stands open to experimentation gentleness good with your hands sensual massage
Starting point is 00:45:39 extended foreplay and teasing bubble bath for two What? What the fuck? Likes to give oral sex Likes to receive oral sex someone that can be taught And someone who can teach him kissing cuddling and hugging and sharing fantasies and sex talks
Starting point is 00:46:01 So I'm just going to go out on a limb here. I've never fucking been on Ashley Madison I never planned to go on Ashley Madison But I'm going to assume that this was more of like a questionnaire type thing And he clicked all the things that he was interested in because if he is soap up a weird to be like Bubble bath for two but like also he could get divorced and go on tinder And he wouldn't have to put all of this on his profile and he could literally get divorced Get on tinder or plenty of fish and then literally he would never like
Starting point is 00:46:32 I don't have any words for this like i'm not going on any type of fucking website Why wasn't he on christian mingle because No, he goes against everything He goes again or farmers. There's like a farmers website too. He's a fraud Um, he is a fraud um So are we going to go with the fact that this was like check boxes of things that you're interested in or did I fucking hope so but also if he came up with this himself and he really wants a bubble bath for two like
Starting point is 00:47:01 I'm not saying and nobody's goddamn dirty bath water like what the fuck wait um The other thing about this that is just like weird is The teaching and someone who can teach like Some of these things are just like real weird. I'm like, I Almost want to go on the site to see if these are boxes that he checked. I'll pull it up right now I'm gonna go pull it up right now because what if you ever
Starting point is 00:47:30 Someone was like, oh Kayla lowery googles Ashley madison dot com Well You know what? I'm gonna take the risk because I just I need to see what good with your hands Yeah, I mean the other option here for
Starting point is 00:47:47 for him I could I just Why not be in a a polygamist or polyamory type of situation like let's Normalize being open and honest with our partners so that We're not doing this stuff. We're not doing this stuff. If you do not feel satisfied Completely by your wife Then you need to have that conversation and either a leave her. I understand it's against your religion But sometimes we have to break the rules In that specific aspect. I don't mean by other things that he's done
Starting point is 00:48:20 um, or Let her know that this is not enough for me and I would like to add another person into this marriage Um, what is it called? It's called. Ashley madison.com. Yeah, okay it says Right off the bat. Ashley madison life is short. Have an affair and it says see your matches or log in So there's no way for me to see you're not creating an account. Absolutely not but it says When monogamy becomes monotony the thing is is that That's what it was for him not for his wife
Starting point is 00:48:54 So All of this stuff was done Behind the back. It says rooted in desire Did you know infidelity is emotional while adultery is physical? Cheating is a nuanced topic and everyone has different reasons for joining a dating site like ashley madison Our members are united in a desire to seek out real discreet Which is underlined connections and ashley madison gives you a platform to search for what's missing. I'm upset by it Like I said, no, I'm not okay with this. Um, the reviews here like member experiences
Starting point is 00:49:27 Experiences quote. I cheated on my husband to find companionship and to feel happy and alive again Go to the library. Right. Go to the library. Go hang out with the girls. Maybe go on a vacation with your girlfriends Um, another one says quote. I joined ashley madison and have found the fulfillment I needed to return to my husband a satisfied partner It's completely removed the anxiety from our marriage Another one says quote connecting with a man of a different culture or someone taller or much older Something that my husband will never be It is all okay
Starting point is 00:50:01 Quote since meeting someone on ashley madison and reinvigorating the sexual part of my romantic life I'm a better wife now than I was so In july 2014 josh started a second account that was linked to his home in oxen You guys correct me if I'm wrong hill maryland where he spent time lobbying against causes like same-sex marriage, which These people just pissed me off The two accounts overlap by a few months. So when he opened the second account, he paid $250 that appears to have purchased the affair guarantee
Starting point is 00:50:40 And if they didn't have an affair within three months, they would give you your money back What I'm like, how do you have an affair guarantee like this is weird I I don't like this according to golker josh's ashley madison email address joe smithson Was also connected to an okay cupid profile and the profile had not been active since september of 2014 Which was when his first ashley madison account stopped being active
Starting point is 00:51:13 This okay cupid profile was deleted the day after this scandal broke. I just are we upset yet? I'm I've been upset Like how upset because I this is just feel disgusted at this point I'm disgusted because there's no reason why why are you even getting married if you don't feel fully satisfied and like I just don't you're gonna seek out Affairs and things like that just be single and have sex with whoever you want and do whatever you want agreed Okay, august 20th 2015 um
Starting point is 00:51:46 We are going to end on august 20th 2015 And I am going to continue to say this every single time the fact that we're still in fucking 2015 pisses me off josh publishes a statement on his family's website I have been the biggest hypocrite ever will know shit while While espousing faith and family values I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography On the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for all the hurt pain and disgrace
Starting point is 00:52:25 My sin has caused my wife and family and most of all Jesus and those who profess faith in him I brought hurt and reproach to my family Close friends and the fans of our show with my actions that happened when I was 14 to 15 years old And now I have rebroken their trust the last few years while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality In our country while hiding my own personal feelings. I am learning the hard way We have the freedom to choose our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences I deeply regret all of the hurt. I have caused by being such a bad example I humbly ask for your forgiveness. Please pray for my precious wife. Anna and our family during this time
Starting point is 00:53:11 ma'am I have a lot of problems with that because why So he's already been publicly, you know Crucified as he deserves to be For the things that he did when he was 14 and 15 years old Why is he saying about like what why is he going public about this porn stuff?
Starting point is 00:53:33 because He's going public about it because the hackers Because they expose the users of the site got it. Okay. So he kind of has to explain himself. Okay. Okay. Yeah Now that makes that's making sense. But also like Is there a way that it could have been like could he have lied and said it wasn't him? I think that's like a deep slippery slope. It's like all the Lines connect right like all the stars align You have been a part of all of these other scandals and now
Starting point is 00:54:05 These hackers release this information. It's other josh dugger stuff. I have a question though. I I do want to know and this goes for anyone who has a problem with pornography or like sexual addictions in any way shape or form like How does something like that Happen like is that a chemical imbalance? Is that a mental illness? Like is that? Trauma from a childhood experience like how does something like that become an addiction? I don't understand that I don't Know the answer to that but would love the answer to that. I would love to know the answer to that
Starting point is 00:54:42 so about an hour after The initial statement that I just read um, the pornography addiction mention was Completely removed from the statement The reference to the molestation charges also was removed from the statement and I will just say their PR person must be
Starting point is 00:55:03 idiot because Once something is out there you then retracting something Makes you look like you have further things to hide Well, why are you putting out a statement that you're gonna have things removed that just doesn't make sense? I mean, I guess for for from a public A publicist standpoint, maybe she he or she didn't want to Rebring up what happened at 14 and 15 years old and then The pornography and
Starting point is 00:55:33 That's essentially admitting That he has he's been viewing. I don't know. That's it's very strange to me. I would love to know Why everyone thinks that the statement was edited after it was posted? Well, and what people would do if they found out their husband was on this site. Yeah, like that would be Good to know because that would not be something that I would be okay with Agreed at all. Oh, no, I wouldn't be okay with it either. I'd be like, um Yeah, we are
Starting point is 00:56:04 Done effective Immediately like three minutes ago actually agreed. So that's all on the dugger stuff this week Here's something I didn't know 98% of oral bacteria are good for you They're actually essential for your oral health turns out the fact that all bacteria are bad is actually just a myth and lumino Is busting it wide open? Lumino makes toothpaste, mouthwash and whitening that are a totally new and different approach for improving your oral health They use purposeful and uncompromising ingredients like sea salt, aloe and coconut oils to clean and brighten your smile And plus everything they make is certified non-toxic
Starting point is 00:56:43 You will not find harsh chemicals or bleaches in any of luminos products And everything is dentist formulated backed by over 50 studies and proven to protect the good bacteria And I know that you guys are going to absolutely love lumino I used their whitening strips last night and they do not cause my teeth to be sensitive Which I love and I use their toothpaste and mouthwash every single day. Starting point is 00:57:26 So you can x out the harm lumino dedicated to illuminating better ideas in oral care um the foul play I was I went in to Look at dugger stuff Where we store all of our information. Hopefully nobody ever hacked them But as I was scrolling the only word that I saw on the foul play was queef And I was like, okay, not again. Yeah
Starting point is 00:57:56 Like legitimately like not again. Whoever thought that was a good idea. Kristen. If you're fucking listening to this and you put that on there I'm Immediately upset. Can I read it? Can I please read it? You can't read it yet because I have to tell you about this Freaking weird thing that I saw on instagram Okay, some weeks. I'm like all my news comes from instagram and then some weeks It all comes from tick-tock but I don't know how to say this place but did you see that video of um
Starting point is 00:58:32 Those birds it was on february 7th and a cloud of birds just suddenly dropped from the sky What no, I never even heard of that ma'am like Literally when I saw it I was like wait All of these birds just like passed away. It was like the weirdest thing hundreds of black birds suddenly dropped From the sky in a northern mexican state Um, the incident sparked several conspiracy theories such as 5g interference. Um Or a collision with an invisible
Starting point is 00:59:05 spaceship Um, oh, I mean that one's I think a little farfetched, but I mean that's like a bermuda triangle type of vibes so That's really weird Kevin j. McGowan. I don't even know how to pronounce uh What his job title is an orthean?
Starting point is 00:59:27 Ornithologist ornithologist. I have no idea Ornithologist at the cornell lab of ornithology. Um, he said that The only thing that makes sense was that the birds were fleeing from a predator and I'm like, okay, so how did we get? um Interference with 5g technology and then it brought me back to remember the nashville Bombing like over christmas not this past year but the year before last and that guy was some type of conspiracy theorist and
Starting point is 01:00:04 Thought that there was like this 5g technology interference. Do you remember that? No, I don't I don't remember that at all Like more about that because those are two stories These are now two stories that I have followed talking about the interference of 5g technology and I Need to know more about it and I'm not going to do the research. So I need people to I'm not going to do the research. I know that um, I'm not like 5g is not is Not good not great for us and I even had a friend. What do you mean? What are you talking about? Like the radiation from putting up the 5g towers and the phones and stuff like that and my friend wouldn't even get
Starting point is 01:00:43 The new iphone like she will not upgrade her phone because they're so bad for the environment and like for our bodies And for us and the radiation and the all of it Can't we just turn off it? No, because I mean we need phones to communicate. So unless she decides to go for like an honest lifestyle I don't think that there's any way really around it But don't all phones have 5g. No, I don't think so We need answers because obviously we're dumb. Um, with that being said, we're gonna I'm gonna do the foul play. Okay. So I can read it now. Yeah, I've been dying. Okay. Well, you already read it
Starting point is 01:01:17 No, I'm just dying to read it because I didn't read it. Okay I believe Kristen put this one up. So, um, I'm excited to read it. It's probably disgusting and also if it has a Quief in it, I'm mortified and I just also before I even start this if there is a quiff involved here Do men know the difference between a quiff and a fart because I feel like I would feel much better if they do know the difference Um, like if they can tell the difference in some way because if I Queefed and they thought that I farted I would be even more mortified I don't think I would give as much of a fuck if they knew it was a quiff. You know what I mean Okay, I guess no, I do know what you mean and I need this pulled because
Starting point is 01:01:58 I need to know how many other people think like this. I don't we have a shirt I don't think I've ever thought of this before in fact Can we have a a shirt that says quiff, but it's crossed out and it says queen see? Why are you telling everybody the ideas? Like that was a million dollar idea foul play segment Okay So this was when I was 16 or 17 years old. I was in a serious relationship serious as in quotes With my boyfriend. Of course, we still lived with our parents since we were teens Anyway, one night we were in his room doing the deed and all of a sudden his mom yells his name and says someone is on the phone
Starting point is 01:02:35 And he needs to pick up he stopped mid-pump and picked up the phone by his bed Um, this was back when they had landlines as soon as he said hello the biggest loudest longest quiff came out of me I'm surprised it didn't rattle the walls. Hell. I'm surprised it didn't blast me off His mom was still on the phone waiting for him to pick up and his best friend was on the line as well needless to say Everyone heard my Guinness world record queef I'm still mortified by this and I'm 27 married and have two kids. It's the most embarrassing moment of my life PS queeps are just the air from the outside being pushed in they don't stink because they don't come from your shit laughing my ass off Well, I feel much better that they don't stink
Starting point is 01:03:19 I guess that's the answer to Javi's question because a couple weeks ago. Didn't he ask if they stink? Well But I thought that it had been determined that you collectively thought that they could potentially stink if you had like a stinky kitty Could you imagine like? Yeah, it's air, but like It's could be stinky air. Um, if you have a stinky pussy, I would oh my first of all, what's funny? Just you being like pussy my cat. Um your kitty, um
Starting point is 01:03:57 If this ever happened first of all, I've got a couple of questions Uh, I understand you're 16 or 17 years old But he was busy. So like why was he answering the phone being like hello, you know, I mean Also, did did the mom know that y'all were upstairs in the room with the door closed basically boning like Did she know that was she aware was this allowed? Did you use protection? You guys were babies? You were living in this time when you had landlines like I have very many questions that he know It was a quiefer. Did you think it was a fart? Um, and then outside of that
Starting point is 01:04:30 Uh, who was on the phone and uh Did they know what the queef was like did they confirm or deny whether they heard it or not Did they address this because I feel like a lot of information is being left out of this story and I need to know the answer Not a lot of information being left out because I'm gonna lose sleep over this because I feel like Um, they definitely heard it if it was a Guinness world record queef Like they definitely heard it if is it one of those things like Where you hear something on the phone and you're just like ignoring it and they just don't address it
Starting point is 01:05:11 But like you know, they heard it because that could definitely be the situation here But like what would this person's mom be thinking like is she up there queefing like what would you say? I don't think that she would have No, even if they heard it the only person that would have known it was a queef was the boyfriend Kill no like if I was on the other line and I heard a Guinness world record queef You probably would have thought it was a fart No, I would
Starting point is 01:05:39 If that was me talking to you and that happened I would be like did you shit yourself or Or are your kids taking a shit or what's happening if someone answered the phone Whether it's a landline cell phone fucking rotary phone I don't give a fuck kind of phone if they answer the phone while we're having sex I'm already pissed off. You deserve to be queefed on like 100% like What? No one deserves to be queefed on first of all
Starting point is 01:06:10 like Yes, if you get up to answer the phone Mid pump you deserved that but she said she's married with two kids now. Did she marry him or somebody else? We don't know that's why I'm saying there's a we need more details ma'am being left out So everyone needs to give us further details Best fiends love is in the air and while romance is great. Um, I'm down to talk about it now. I'm down to talk about it next week I it doesn't matter to me. So at 15 Evidently we're talking about it right now at 15. She was kidnapped by a serial killer and she not only escaped But she helped catch him. She's a superhero it says She was watering plants and bushes in the front yard of a friend's house in west columbia, south carolina in the early afternoon of june 24th
Starting point is 01:08:42 2002 when a trans am pulled up in the driveway and uh Guy was like in his late 30s wearing jeans button-down shirt baseball cap looking like a skis probably Got out to offer some pamphlets and asked if her parents were home and she said well, this isn't my house This is my friend's house um, this girl is now 35 years old and said, um, okay Well, what about her parents and are her parents home? So she tells him no her mom's not home right now And he says i'll just leave these with you and he told her this as he was approaching
Starting point is 01:09:24 So suddenly the man who was later identified as serial killer richard evanets Pulled out a gun pressed it to her neck and forced her into a large storage bin that was stowed in the back seat of the car As he drives Towards his apartment. She began counting the turns that he made in hopes of later finding her way home And she noticed details like he was listening to a classic rock station Um smoking marble red cigarettes She even memorized the serial number on the inside of the plastic container that he had forced her to kneel inside time out
Starting point is 01:10:02 time out time out Could you imagine what is going through someone's head when this is all happening and having the ability to stay calm enough To memorize like let me tell you something when I was like 10 years old My house got broken into and I could not even dial 911 because I was so upset and so Like I kept fucking up three numbers on the phone. Do you know what i'm saying? So like Imagine going through something like this. It was a robber at your house a long story my mom's ex-husband had a step son a former step son who like did fucking wild that shit and um, he threw these like really really heavy rocks into our my bedroom window
Starting point is 01:10:42 to like break them and then he also did it through the front living room window and um It was just like a long story a little bit traumatized because my mom was also very much under the influence that night um, and so a little bit of traumatized, but um, I couldn't dial 911 because my fingers kept fucking up So like imagine being in a car where you don't know what is next Where are you gonna go if it's light or daylight by the time you get out of the car and having the ability to memorize the serial numbers on a Container like this woman is seriously she needs to write a book. She needs she's a fucking superhero so
Starting point is 01:11:21 Could you just imagine being in like a plastic storage container in the back of some car from Like some douche that's trying to give you a fake pamphlet Um, and you're counting turns. No, I can't imagine you're turning like how could you be smart enough to do that? so She says her survival mechanism Said all right, let's gather as much information as we can that fear barely even kicked in and um The human will to survive and the survival mechanism really just can't be underestimated
Starting point is 01:11:55 And on the way to his apartment, he pulled over and restrained her with handcuffs Put a gag in her mouth and then took her to his cluttered apartment. He also Had a guinea pig a lizard and other small animals and assaulted her for 18 hours It makes me so sad looking at the picture of her at 15 years old She said despite being terrorized she tried to find ways to identify him So like literally this girl was In survival mode. Yeah Names of his doctor and Dennis were on his fridge and she was just trying to keep calm and he wanted her to have some food
Starting point is 01:12:38 She said i'm not going to eat right now, but is there anything I can do for you? and she actually ended up sweeping his kitchen and Said that that kind of manipulation The sheriff said may have helped save her life She was just putting him at ease making him feel comfortable gaining his trust and that's what police negotiators do And she was able to control her emotions to the point where she was able to develop a plan In the dawn hours while he was asleep. She was able to free one hand from a pair of handcuffs and unclip a leg restraint She quietly tiptoed to the front door and made her escape ran towards the car in the parking lot and asked two people inside
Starting point is 01:13:22 To take her to the police station where she recounted the entire ordeal And she was asked by officers to take her back to his apartment because of her keen powers of observation And the help of the apartment apartment maintenance man. They were able to find him. Oh my god Um, but he had fled by the time they got there. So they found a Locked foot locker with newspaper clippings about unsolved murders of three girls Um, when the police got there and these girls had all gone missing Within five years before
Starting point is 01:14:01 Care is abduction. So so essentially he's keeping them because he was the one that did it. Yeah, and like weirdly We won't get into all of this today, but There are certain characteristics when I look at some of these serial killers Like most specifically this man that I'm looking at his nasty mug right now um That when I look at ed kimper, I'm like, okay They kind of look alike. Is it just the fact that it's like a really shitty mug shot that looks like olyn mills? Or is it the fact that they like actually have
Starting point is 01:14:33 Physical characteristics that look similar. I think for this situation because I'm also looking at it It looked they're they have some similarities But also the fact that it's a mug shot because I mean, I think the mug shots Purpose is to kind of get capture the appearance as is Ed Kemper is just a different type of I don't even we'll get into that on Monday I can't wait to go over all of that. Um, when that true crime releases, which will be For what march? Yes, march is true crime. It was kales pick and
Starting point is 01:15:08 Again, I have been fascinated been spending tons of time um always new of ed Kemper, but You know like didn't know a bunch of details like I do now and I can't wait to get into it We're gonna post the link to all of these articles that we've covered today on coffee combos podcast Instagram page and if you guys have not followed us Um Over there make sure you follow us and you can also subscribe to our show on the purple podcast app spotify podcast one All the other damn places and we hope that you guys have a fantastic week and we will chat with you creeper soon.
