Hey guys, Lindsay and I are back from spring break and we're here with coffee combos and super excited to update you on our trip and we got a ton of stuff to catch up on. So, Lindsay, how was your trip? I feel like I still want to be on vacation. Same.
Starting point is 00:00:31 I need a vacation from the vacation, actually. because traveling with kids is sometimes pure chaos. I know. And so many people, like, I know that you've taken, like, some time to yourself. Like, obviously you have three kids and I just have Jackson. But I always feel bad. Like, I always think, oh, I'm just going to, you know, go on vacation with Will or something. And then I, like, really start thinking about it.
Starting point is 00:00:54 And I'm like, oh, but this would really be a place that Jackson would love. And so I always bring him every time. And I swear that I'm going to be doing that until he's 18 years. and then I'll finally go on a vacation that, like, I can just lounge by the pool once he's 18. Literally when I was in Hawaii not too long ago with Leah, the whole time, Leah and I kept saying our kids would love this. So I think we're going to take the kids to Hawaii also. But, I mean, I do think, well, for you though, you're with, not saying that you can't take a vacation with Will, because you still should and you can. But I think,
Starting point is 00:01:33 for Leah and I especially is like our kids go to their dad. So we would have that time without them anyway. You know what I mean? Yeah. So it's it's just like a whole different world because I don't I don't have like that spare time or whatever. Like you're not going to have your kids anyway. So you might as well take advantage of it and, you know, use the time wisely and go and explore. And I mean, it's better than just sitting at home waiting on them to come back home. So yeah. Like I get that. But I don't ever have that time, that time separation, you know, away. Right. Right.
Starting point is 00:02:08 Yeah, I just, oh my gosh. And it's constantly, whenever we go on vacation, I don't know about you when you take your boys, but it's constantly go, go, go. We always have something like next plan. So it's like we stay at the pool for like five minutes and then he wants to go to the beach and then he wants to go to the hot tub and then he wants to go on a bike ride. And then I'm just like, can we stay at one place? You know, I mean, before you have kids, you just kind of like leisurely go about.
Starting point is 00:02:37 Take your time. Mm-hmm. Yeah. And now it's like five minutes here, five minutes there. I want to get a snow cone. I want to, you know, do this activity. I want to go to the beach. I want to, I'm just like, seriously.
Starting point is 00:02:49 I'm exhausted from my vacation. So. That's what I'm saying. We need a vacation from the vacation. I took the kids to Jamaica and it was kind of nice because the beach was right next to the pool. But like when I was thinking when first of all, Isaac asked to go to Jamaica for his birthday and that was, this is his birthday. That was his birthday, spring break trip, whatever. And the whole time I'm thinking, okay, we're going to explore things. Like I'm going to get to
Starting point is 00:03:20 take them to explore Jamaica. And boy, was I wrong because one, we're in another country. So it's everything is kind of chaos to. us and we I had the baby so the baby comes with a stroller and the car seat and nap time and bottles and this and that so like it kind of took away from the older two boys experience as far as going off the resort but um yeah when I mentioned bottles I was not interested after that point yeah I just it was nice though because I did my friend did come and she she watched Lincoln and Lux for me so I could spend some time with Isaac we went ziplining and we wrote ATV and we went into this mineral bath.
Starting point is 00:04:03 So, like, that was super cool, like, to kind of get off the resort and explore Jamaica a little bit and do, like, other things. But they just wanted to stay in the pool the whole time. Like, see, when I go to the country... We could stay in the United States and done that. But, see, when I go out of the country,
Starting point is 00:04:18 I get kind of afraid to go outside of the resort. Like, I feel like once I'm from the airport to the resort, I feel like I'm safe. But I guess it's like a uncomfortable it's like what I don't know. So I'm a little bit like uncomfortable with it. And then especially a place that you go and you don't speak the same language. So then there's like a language barrier there.
Starting point is 00:04:40 So then that's kind of scary too because you might be saying something and they might interpret it a different way. So I always tend to like find a resort that I know is kind of like an all inclusive. I know everything that I want to do is going to be right there at the resort. So then I don't ever have to leave. Yeah. I just, I'm all about convenience. See, this was the first, all-inclusive I did since I went to Mexico 10 years ago. So I don't do all-inclusives.
Starting point is 00:05:11 I'm the type of person that wants to go explore, like, the country. Like, we went to the Bahamas. I left the resort. When we went to Puerto Rico, we left the resort. Like, I like to leave the resort. I can't even remember the all-inclusive when we went to Mexico. So I feel like for this specific trip, the resort was good with kids. Like if you want to go to Jamaica or wherever with kids, like the resorts are perfect
Starting point is 00:05:37 because everything that the kids want to do is probably on the resort. But for me, I was like, I mean, this really was for Isaac and Lincoln anyway, so it didn't really bother me. But overall, if it's for me personally, it would be off. I wouldn't want to stay at an all-inclusive. And see, I like to, with. all-inclusive that I like the comfort of knowing once you get there that I don't have to worry about, you know, like a car, I don't have to worry about getting a cab or, you know, going to the next place. Everything I want to do is going to be right there. And even if there's more that I want to do,
Starting point is 00:06:14 I'm still not going to do it because it's just going to be an inconvenient. So I'm not about that life. I like convenience. So, yeah. Oh, man. You're funny. Could you imagine us going on vacation? No, because we would be spending the whole trip apart. Like I would be exploring like downtown and you would be literally in the, you'd be pool side. I would be at the pool with a mimosa and a hamburger and like not worried about you at all. I would be like, I don't know where she is or what she's doing. But that's not the kind of life that I'm after. I like to just be relaxed when I go on vacation. But with kids, you just don't, that's just non-existent. That's not a thing. Yeah. I mean, my kids were up at 6.30 in the morning. Like, can we go to the
Starting point is 00:07:05 buffet? Can we go to the pool? And then it was as soon as we were in the pool. Can we go to the beach? Okay, we're in the beach. Let's go back to the pool. Okay, great. Oh, my gosh, speaking up to like spring break, that picture of the sloth that I sent you of me feeding it eggs at the zoo. Wait, where was that? So it was at the Chattanooga Zoo. And Jackson and I went just like on a little day venture and it was so much fun. We got to feed monkeys and we got to go on there with the sloth and let's see what other adventures. Oh, we did the camels and that was really fun. They had tons of like little like animal encounters that were so fun. Jackson really, really loved it. And it was kind of funny because you know how I am about germs, but I weirdly. I saw you petting a goat and I was
Starting point is 00:07:56 shocked. Yeah, like I weirdly didn't like really worry about the germs while it was there. And then when I posted the picture on Instagram, people were like freaking out and they were like, oh my God, she probably took him home and showered him, which I in fact, like I did bring him home and shower him. But I didn't think about it at the time of doing it. You know what I mean? I was shocked when I saw that. Because I'm like, hmm, Jackson has a brush and he's like really not touching the animal with his bare hand. But there, Lindsay is touching the animal with her bare hand, something that she would I would never catch her dead doing. Oh yeah, but I had Purell in the car, but...
Starting point is 00:08:32 Of course you did. He was so excited about petting the goats with the brush and, like, doing all that. Because he has a petting zoo at his school every year. So they do it, like, in the fall. They do a little petting zoo. And so the same, like, petting zoo comes every year. And they teach them how to, like, do the brushes and how to brush the animals and stuff. So Jackson gets super into it.
Starting point is 00:08:54 So, I mean, how am I supposed to tell him no? you know, like that's something that's part of like the activity of the zoo. So I can't really like tell him no. You can't do that because it's, I mean, it's not nasty. It's just maybe not as sanitary as I would like. But I didn't really think about it. To be perfectly honest, it was just we were having such a good time and he grabbed the brush. And I was just kind of like going with it.
Starting point is 00:09:18 And then it was more like an after the fact when I got him home. It kind of all started sinking in. And I was like, oh my God. Like. Probably has a zillion germs on him at this point. And we've ridden from Chattanooga all the way home. And geez, like this. It's good for his immune system, Lindsay.
Starting point is 00:09:37 Yeah. I think we can do without like goat germs, you know? Okay. Yeah. I mean, I'm surrounded by goats where I live. I live basically on front. It's time to take a break and talk to you guys about something really important. I don't know about you, but I love Della.
Starting point is 00:09:52 And I do not know what I would do without her. It makes me really upset to even think that. something could ever happen to her. That's why I'm loving this new whistle device. Whistle attaches to your pet's collar and allows you to track their location and activity from an app on your phone. You can also set activity goals based on your pet's age, breed, weight, and it helps you monitor their daily activity and rest, so you can do your best to keep them super healthy.
Starting point is 00:10:17 I found this to be so helpful because monitoring your pets' health and safety is really something that you don't think about, but it's super important. And my dogs definitely could use some more exercise, so they're loving that the app can tell me when they need more activity. Whistle is super lightweight. It weighs less than an ounce, and it's waterproof. Microchipping is an important part of pet safety, but a lost pet has to be found and taken to a shelter with a chip database, which can take hours or days. Whistle uses GPS to monitor your pet 24-7, so it takes only minutes to find the location of your pet because when Wi-Fi is unavailable, the whistle device uses cellular and GPS technology to enable tracking where, ever in the U.S. you are and it notifies you if your dog gets out or leaves its area. So we use smart technology for everything else in our lives. So it makes sense for us to use it to keep our pets safe.
Starting point is 00:11:05 Whistle brings peace of mind to pet owners across the nation. For a limited time, our listeners can get $25 off of a whistle device when you use our code combos. So, Kail, I have to ask you about Jamaica. I saw where you had tweeted when you came back from Jamaica that you had fallen in love.
Starting point is 00:11:38 So did you fall in love with the country? I did. I did. No, I fell in love with a man. You fell in love with a man. I did. I'm not kidding. Like, okay.
Starting point is 00:11:48 So tell us about it. So I'm going to, because. Because this is, first of all, never believed in true love, okay? No, I'm lying. Let me take that back. I don't believe in true love since Chris. Like, I really thought, like, Chris and I were, like, I would have done anything for him. So when everything went south, I was like, fuck love.
Starting point is 00:12:10 It doesn't exist. It's not real. And I've been single ever since, really. I mean, I tried to date and then it didn't really work out. And so, like, it was, you know, just whatever. So I'm in Jamaica and it was a total accident. I met this guy on the resort. He's actually a local.
Starting point is 00:12:27 He lives there. He literally meets all the like standards, I guess, or like the criteria that I have, which is like 25 or older, six foot or higher has to have a job, car, and a house. Because I feel like the last couple people that I've tried to date and have you included, no shade, didn't have, they couldn't, like, Hobby literally went from living with his mom to living with me and then living back with his mom when we got divorced. So, like, he never really had the experience of living on his own. And then, like, when I went to Chris, you know, he didn't always have all of those things either. And so, like, I feel like at this point in my life,
Starting point is 00:13:12 I know what I want. And so he has all of those things. He has a job, whatever. He, like, works really hard. He has a boat. And he's just like perfect. He gardens, Lindsay. He gardens. Like, he plants all his own food. And like, you're laughing, but it's like the cutest thing because like I just went on a Twitter rant. Like people are age and I know you're married and like Will is a man's man. Like he's, he does things. He builds shit. And like I think of Chelsea's coal like coal builds shit. He knows how to like do things.
Starting point is 00:13:42 He goes fishing. Like he has skills. Like he was raised properly. But I feel like where I'm at or maybe it's just the people that I know around here, they don't know how to change a tire. They don't know how to cook like a real. meal. They don't know how to, they barely know how to take care of themselves. And it's like, part of it is like the laziness of our generation and part of it is like the parenting I feel like. So when I met this guy, it was by accident and I was like literally in my head like, I'm going to marry you one day.
Starting point is 00:14:10 He probably thinks I'm insane, but it's fine. Kiel, did you tell him this? Yeah, I told him. Oh, wow. Like I told him. So. Did he even understand you? Yes, he's so sweet. He speaks Patwa, which is like, patois, patois, which is like the Jamaican language, and he speaks English too. So, like, first of all, he took us tubing, which was so fun. Kail, but does he like you? Does he like you? Because it's like a two-way street, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:14:45 But let me just tell you, he doesn't have a TV. He doesn't have any social media. So he does not give a shit about. who I am, like, on reality TV. He doesn't give a shit about any of that stuff. Like, it's just, like, nice to, like, kind of, like, talk to somebody who has no fucking clue. But the reality of it is that he lives in Jamaica and he's not leaving Jamaica because he built his house on his land and whatever. So, like, I mean, a girl can dream, you know?
Starting point is 00:15:14 But maybe that's the best thing for you to have, like, a faraway marriage. A marriage. We're not getting married. I mean, maybe one day. Maybe that's like the key to success. He has no desire to come here at all. Wait. So, Kail, like, technically he doesn't really even know who you are.
Starting point is 00:15:32 He just knows that you're like a girl named Kale. Yeah, pretty much. So he has no idea that you're on teen mom. He has no idea that you have a podcast and we're talking about him. And he has no idea about Twitter or any social platforms. Absolutely not. But I text him regularly. So, like, we text.
Starting point is 00:15:55 And, like, face him. I think he's just telling you he doesn't know about this. No, he really doesn't because I, like, so I only really, like, I wouldn't even say hung out with him because he just took us tubing. Like, he took all of us tubing. So someone on the boat, like, was like, oh, I've seen her baby before. And he, like, doesn't have Instagram or Twitter or anything. And so, like, he didn't, like, told me. He's like, oh, that, you know, my co-worker said that she saw your baby before.
Starting point is 00:16:25 And I was like, yeah. And he was like, what do you mean? He's like, you know? And I was like, yeah. And I tried to like explain it to him. But he's like, I don't watch TV. So he didn't care. That's the whole point that I'm trying to make.
Starting point is 00:16:36 And he gardens and he spearfishes. So he holds his breath for like four minutes and goes underwater. And like, get his dinner. Like he literally shoots his dinner and he eats it. And then he gardens. And then he like, I'm like, can you just come teach me like all the things. things I want to learn how garden. You don't need to know all that.
Starting point is 00:16:56 You really don't. You know how great it would be for me to learn how to garden and grow things and like take the kids out back? You know what? I'm just going to read so that I'm going to read about it. I'm going to plant some plants. And next time I go to Jamaica when the kids are with their dads, I won't bring them. I'm going to show him how I garden. I'm already going to know how to garden. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:17:16 I don't even know what to say to you at this point. He brought me. So the resort was like, right next to like where he works. So, um, he brought me this like con, conk. Is it conch or conch shell? I don't know. He found one.
Starting point is 00:17:31 He was, it's huge. And he brought it for me, um, when he, he found it when he was spearfishing. Literally, he holds his breath for four minutes. Kiel, when I think about spearfishing, I don't know like why it makes me think of this. But do you remember when like naked and afraid first came out and there was this one girl on there? Yeah. That used to like catch these. fish between her legs. Do you remember? I don't remember that, but I remember. Like, she would hold her legs. She would like hold her legs open and then like clamp them together when a fish would come. Would they
Starting point is 00:18:04 attracted to the smell or something? Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. That's just so gross. But, but yeah, like she did that. But that's like what makes me think about like a woman version of spear fishing. Well, he doesn't do that. He doesn't. He just stabbed them. Right? Like, you. You stand above ball and like stab them. He shoots them. Yeah. Underwater. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:18:29 But it's like amazing. No. And like he sends me videos every day like of I'll like text him like to see what he's doing and he'll send me like videos of like the island and like what he's doing. And it's just like super cool because it's just a different way of life. And I told him. I was like, have you ever heard of this show naked and afraid? And he's like not really.
Starting point is 00:18:47 And I'm like, well, you would survive very well on that show. Like you would do really great. So basically you're trying. to turn him into a reality TV person. No. I'm not. Because that would corrupt him. Reality, I would never want reality TV to corrupt my baby, my Jamaican king.
Starting point is 00:19:07 Oh my gosh. Kail, I can't even with this conversation. I mean, does he even know that y'all are in love? I mean. Yeah, I tell him all the time. You tell him all the time that you're, what does he say back? And he's like, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:23 Oh my God. Kiel, I think you should not text him. No, he's so great. Like, I don't want to put him out there. That's why I'm not saying what he texts back. Kail, nobody's going to try to steal your Jamaican boyfriend. Like, I don't know. He's a really great guy.
Starting point is 00:19:45 Like, he's so great. And they couldn't find him anyway. They would literally have to go to Jamaica, go to the resort that you were at and find his job because he has zero social media. So, like, nobody's going to steal him. Promise. Fact. Okay, I guess. Speaking of touristy places, though, what about, like, that article that I sent you about Cancun?
Starting point is 00:20:08 How crazy is that? Okay. First of all, I was supposed to go to Cancun in January. So, like, I'm a little freaked out. Well, you know, I got married in Cancun. You did? Yes. Got married. I went to Cancun when I was 15. Well, I've gone to Cancun like four times, I think. and it's never been, okay, I'll tell you, at the airport, it's kind of scary just because going
Starting point is 00:20:35 into another country and like the dogs kind of scare me, like sniffing stuff. And I know I don't have anything illegal, but like I always get afraid like, oh, what if this is illegal, like, Victoria's Secret lotion or something. But I always get like, I always get like freaked out that, like, I'm going to have something illegal in my bag, but like I know I have nothing illegal. It's like, like I'm paranoid for like no reason when I see those dogs like going around sniffing and I'm like, oh God, they're going to smell my Victoria Secret lotion love spell and they're going to be like, oh shit, this girl has some drugs or something. Who knows? So I get super terrified at the airport. But once you get like out of the airport and get into like the vans to go to your resort,
Starting point is 00:21:18 then I feel like fine. But I've never been to like the part of Cancun that apparently all this killing happened. I've never been to like the downtown area, which is like the party area. So I don't know about that. I've been like off the resort. We went to. Of course you have. Riviera. I of course I went off the resort. I had to. But like it was during a good fire. I was in Riviera Maya. Yeah, I've been there. Yeah. But this is like. The article was like on a resort. because I don't remember if it was like on the resort or outside of the resort. It was on Playa Del Carmen, right? I think so, but I think it was like in downtown Cancun, whereas like it's like a strip,
Starting point is 00:22:05 like a party strip or something like that. And there was like 14 people killed within 36 hours. And then one man was actually found dead on the beach. And that was at an actual resort. And four men came through like some luxury hotel. and attacked this man, killed him, and left him on the beach. That's going to hurt the Cancun, like, Mexico's tourist income. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:22:37 Like, that's scary. People are going to want to go there. They have a multi-billion dollar tourism industry and it's literally going to destroy it over, it's like drug gang violence. So they're literally, that's terrifying. going to be destroyed. And like the pictures of the people laying dead in the streets and they were just laying there. And they say that like all of these murders and stuff that happen go completely unsolved there. Oh, of course they, I would imagine that that would be like pretty much anywhere they would because you can't even pinpoint because it's gang related. I don't even know how they would. You know what I mean? Like pinpoint who's who. Yeah. And like exactly this week last year, we were in Cancun.
Starting point is 00:23:22 that's terrifying. Yeah, like took my son there thinking, oh, like it's safe because the resort that we stay at is super safe. And once you get there, it's like very, I won't say like Americanized, but like kind of, it caters to, you know, like the American people, but it's still like their culture. It's just it caters to Americans. And I mean, I love it there. and Jackson loves it there. It's like his favorite place that we've ever been. And always he asked about when are we going back to Mexico?
Starting point is 00:24:01 When are we going back to Mexico? Probably never with this kind of stuff going on. I mean, hopefully they figured out because, like I said, I'm supposed to go in January. So unfortunately, people go there on vacation and families are there. and it is not only a problem for Mexico, but also obviously these people are going on vacation and dying. Yeah. I mean, just like innocent people that are just like they're on vacation trying to have a good time and then just being killed.
Starting point is 00:24:40 Not cool. Like seriously, not cool. Okay, so let's take a quick second so I can tell you guys about the absolute easiest way to keep your health on track with very little effort. Care of is a monthly subscription vitamin service made from effective quality ingredients tailored to your needs. I know Lindsay has been really good about using this service and now I'm really excited about it. I posted it on my Instagram and my Snapchat and I had no idea that 90% of people fall short of FDA recommended guidelines for at least one vitamin or nutrient because even when you try to maintain a healthy diet, it can be hard to get all the nutrients in your body for long term health. So care of is a super great and easy service. Yeah, vitamins are really important to me and my family trying to keep everyone healthy
Starting point is 00:25:26 and can fill in the gaps missing from our diets or especially for me getting the extra boost when I need it. Care of's fun online quiz makes it easy to figure out the vitamins and supplements that you specifically need. Oh, so every day Jackson and I, like one of our biggest arguments, this is like completely switching gears. But I was looking at his lunchbox, so it made me think of it.
Starting point is 00:26:41 We always argue about what goes in his lunchbox. And so it's always like every morning we have the same argument. And I always win the argument because I know what I'm going to put in the lunchbox and I know what he's going to eat because he might say that he wants one thing. But then when he gets to school, I know he's not going to want it. So always just pack what I know he's going to eat. But I saw this one like, you know, like those videos and stuff that you'll see online like AOL or whatever. It'll have like these videos of just like interesting stuff.
Starting point is 00:27:14 stuff. So there was one about like Japan school lunches and this goes back to like me wanting to travel with Jackson and like him be educated in different places in the world because in Japan like fresh meals are made from scratch like at the kids school lunches. Like their school lunches are made completely from scratch and the kids like actually serve and clean up together. In Japan? In all of Japan or just this specific place in Japan? No, it's just like all in Japan. This is just like customary. And basically it like teaches them cooperation and manners like and how to do that kind of stuff, which is like super appealing to me. And lunch is part of their curriculum or, you know, education. And they don't consider it like a break from.
Starting point is 00:28:18 So like here in America, like when we have lunches and schools, it's just going to lunch to eat, right? Like it's totally different than this. Well, it's kind of like a break for lunch and it's hurry up and eat and get out. So it's kind of like fast food, if you think about it. It's not like quality food. Exactly. And so they actually, like, as part of their curriculum in Japan, they study like nutritional value, like cultural heritage. And they have the lowest child obesity rate in the world.
Starting point is 00:28:54 I'm sorry to relate this to like my baby in Jamaica, but I feel like that's very much why he plants all his own food and catches his own food. and it's important for them to know how to garden because they learn, like, he knew so much about plants that I'm like, why do you know this? And he said, this is part of school here. Like, they teach those things in their schools. Like, I think that's unreal because that's not something. But we're missing it here because I feel like the climate,
Starting point is 00:29:24 I don't, I can't speak for Japan. I don't even know what the seasons are there. But we are, the United States has such a broad spectrum of climates that we couldn't, I mean, I guess there are things that, like, we should be teaching our, like, our kids should know how to garden, like, the basic things or, like, no, I don't feel like they do. It has, I think it has nothing to do with climate. I think it just has to do with laziness of Americans.
Starting point is 00:29:50 And, like, it's not. Absolutely. It's easier to just, like, do and do whatever's convenient. Right. Instead of, like, teaching about food and about plants and, like, this is where it comes from. This is, we don't, I don't feel like we have, like, traditional food like they do. in like Japan or Jamaica or anything like that? No.
Starting point is 00:30:09 And like apparently in Japan, they don't only serve foods that are like Japanese foods. They are like different cultures. They'll get, you know, from other countries, different types of food. And they learn about it. And it only costs them on average, $2.50 a day to eat school lunches. So, I mean, they're making it from scratch. Who is your staff helping the kids or the staff makes it from scratch? So, like, there's their staff that helps the kids, like, as their educator, I guess.
Starting point is 00:30:49 And then they teach them, you know, like about what they're eating. And then they show them, like, proportions and, like, what they should be eating, you know, like of each food group. And then they let them learn to, like, dish up their own plates. and then they all clean their plates and stuff together. So it's like part of their curriculum. Like, I love it. I wish they had that year. That's so great.
Starting point is 00:31:14 I feel like they go to school longer than we do also. Well, I thought it was in Japan that they are different countries like that. I wanted to say that they didn't start school until they were like six or seven years old. Oh, really? I want to say that's true. I need to check on that. And if anybody's listening that knows the answer to that, please put it on our Instagram comments so that we don't have to research it. But I'm pretty sure that they don't start school until six or seven.
Starting point is 00:31:52 I mean, here in America, I mean, like I said, I can't speak for Japan. But here in America, I mean, I don't know that people would be able to afford daycare up until six or seven years old. I think it's just the life is just so different and like cultures like that that it's just so different than here. Part of me sometimes wishes like obviously people talk about the American dream and like how easy we have it. So I don't want to complain or say, you know, our lives suck or whatever. But there's different things that I think about that like I really hate about the United
Starting point is 00:32:34 States and I think about like stuff like that just like school lunches and that is like such a like small thing but I wish we were more like countries like Japan. Yeah. I feel like a lot of the locals that I met in Jamaica are the same like they don't want to leave Jamaica because it's different but I feel like they would they know they have more like life skills in other countries. injuries, like they are taught things from a young age. Like I was saying before, people here are not, like, they're lazy. We don't even, men don't even know how to change tires. Like, they don't know how to cook. They don't know how to, like, do household things. I don't know. Well, like, for example. But in Japan, they're learning how to clean up after themselves
Starting point is 00:33:27 at school lunch. Like, they're cleaning up after each other. I think that's amazing. But, like, for example, Jackson, when he comes home from. school. I mean, it's no secret. I make him take a shower and change his clothes, but I have, like, a laundry separator. So I, like, teach him how I've shown him, like, lots of times, like, you know, the colors go here, darks go here, whites go here. And so I make him sort those out. And then if he gets it wrong, then I show him, like, hey, why is this in the colored clothes when it's black? Or why is this in the white clothes when it's green? And so I try to like teach him stuff like that and teaching him to just like at least put his plate.
Starting point is 00:34:11 I mean, he's too little to really put his stuff in the dishwasher because my sink's kind of high. But to at least just put the stuff in the sink so that it's not just like laying out on the counter. And just like very simple stuff like that. Like remove your shoes before you go into someone's home. One of my friends, like he went over for a play date. And she texts me and she was like mom goals. when a child ask you, do they need to remove their shoes before they come into your house? It's just like little stuff like that that, you know, a lot of people don't teach their kids.
Starting point is 00:34:47 And I'm not saying it's wrong. But, you know, I don't want him going to somebody's house and just like walking in and acting like a fool and acting like he has no raising or like any manners. I don't know. That terrifies me. Like I'm, Isaac's had one sleepover with his best friend that has been. his best friend since he was three and I'm really good friends with his parents. So like even that, I'm like, oh my God, is he going to say something crazy? Is he going to be bouncing off the walls?
Starting point is 00:35:17 Is he going to remember to brush his teeth? Like simple things that I just feel like I don't even remember my mom like making a big deal, but I always knew to ask, do I take my shoes off? Do I, my mom always taught me though. Like when you go to somebody else's house, you always clean up more than you would at your own house. But like, I don't know. I love that. This summer, like when, I don't know why it's been so cold and rainy, like 40 degrees here,
Starting point is 00:35:44 but I want to garden with the boys. Like, I'm really going to read up how to, like, because I really don't know how to, I don't know how to garden myself. So I want to teach them, like, we have a really nice backyard. I feel like I should be teaching them how to, like, do stuff like that. We can grow, like, strawberries and, like, learn how to do stuff like that. So that's my, like, mom goal. mom, yeah, that's like the goal I'm going to set for myself this summer to like teach the kids how to garden.
Starting point is 00:36:09 Well, so in my yard, I have a tomato plant which produces tons of tomatoes in the summer. I have cucumbers and let's see what else do I have. Blueberries, which produced a lot of blueberries last year. But we tried strawberries, but they didn't really take. So I don't think I'm going to do it again this year because it was just like a big disappointment. Why not? What did you say? Why not?
Starting point is 00:36:45 Why was it like, well, why was it a big disappointment? Well, because they just didn't make. And I just was like sitting around waiting all summer for them to like pop up and they never came. So I was just like, okay, cool. Guess I'll just hit up the publics and buy some strawberries. But maybe you can just try again. Yeah, now. Probably not.
Starting point is 00:37:07 I'll just stick to like what grew. I just like the only thing that I've been able to keep alive is my children and like a bamboo plant. You know? So like that's the only thing that makes me nervous about gardening is like I can't even remember to like keep up with the stuff. So how am I going to teach my kids to keep up with this stuff? But also it's my responsibility as a parent to, raised my children to do these things. So I need to do better. The summer is going to be like gardening 2018. This is going to be like boot camp for your kids. Like I feel like this is going to be
Starting point is 00:37:45 a thing because you know what my kids need to get I took their iPads away. They have iPads. They this is important. You took their iPads away for what? Yeah, because I'm tired of them. Oh yeah. Jackson got his take in like a year ago. So I'm tired of the iPads. I'm tired of technology. The weather sucks, but yeah, I am too. And I just feel like we need to live a little like, you know, we live on this freaking island, you know, of Jamaica.
Starting point is 00:38:15 Like, it needs to be like that. Kail, you're all about this man. I tell you. Like, you're just about it. But no, seriously. Like, leaves are the same thing. Not just, it's like Hawaii too when I went to Hawaii. Like they just, and I'm sure it would be.
Starting point is 00:38:31 It's probably like that. And parts of California and like Florida and stuff, like they just know how to like garden and do things outside. And I just, I want to do better as a mom. And that's what my goal is. So I'm going to keep you guys updated on all of the gardening. But I'm really going to read up on like how to keep plans alive outside. I don't have a sprinkler system or anything. So I need to like get my life together, probably get a new hose or something.
Starting point is 00:38:53 Oh yeah. Like a water hose for sure. Like you're definitely going to need one of those for sure. Like a water hose. Oh my gosh. No, I mean, I'm just so ready for school to be out, to be perfectly honest. I'm just ready to like for technology, for everything kind of to just be like simplified because we live very simple summer. So it's like we're outside. We go to the pool. We go to the park. walks and just do like very simple stuff. And yeah, just like summer stuff. And I make Jackson actually do like school work over the summer. So that way he doesn't like regress and go backwards. And then he acts like he's like
Starting point is 00:39:40 three year old like three years old when he goes back and he's like actually close to six. But yeah, that's a whole other story. But no, Jackson, we took the iPad a long time ago and he's so much better and like more in tune with life and like things that go on outside of technology. He's just like a better kid when he is not exposed to it. Yeah. Yeah. I feel like the behavior is better always when they don't have their electronics. So you've noticed. Oh, yeah. Speaking of summer, I'm planning the baby's. first birthday is this summer. Oh my gosh. Are you so excited?
Starting point is 00:40:25 Yeah, because I'm having my pool redone. I had a new liner put in. I'm having new concrete. My house is roughly 10 years old and I'm pretty sure that the people who built it put the pool in around the same time. So it was just time for like a new liner, a new concrete and stuff like that. And so I'm going to do a pool party because I have a summer baby. And that's what I always wanted to. summer baby because the older two boys have winter birthdays and I'm super excited to plan a pool party. I know. I always say that every year and should I celebrate Jackson's half birthday because that's July. Oh, yeah, you have to. Because he has a late December birthday and it's always like a snow or something like that and it's just a disaster every year and I feel so bad for kids that have winter birthdays because they get really screwed, I feel like, and especially kids that have birthdays around the holidays because Jackson's birthday is four days after Christmas.
Starting point is 00:41:29 So, oh, wow. Yeah. Like, it's just really not fair. But, I mean, obviously when you're trying to get pregnant, you're not really thinking about, you know, it's kind of like God's timing and his plan. It's not, you know, like, oh, I'm going to get pregnant on this month because this will make him be born in June. And like that's just not really realistic or how it worked for me.
Starting point is 00:41:52 So I just feel bad because he can never have like a pool party or anything outside. Yeah, I find it at least where we're at because it's so small. There's not really many places to have the boys' birthday parties in the winter. But like I said, for Isaac this year, we didn't even, we did like a little game night at home. And then he really wanted Jamaica. So I was like, well, spring break. but you'd have to drive at least an hour to have like a pretty cool like another like a different type of place for the boys birthday so I don't know at this point I'm just like I'm gonna play on the baby's first birthday but I'm kind of over the birthday party thing like I'm just like over it the boys don't even care to have birthday parties at this point so I'm not but you have to do it for the first his Lux's first birthday like you have to do for the yeah yeah yeah for sure and I'm hoping. Do you have a theme?
Starting point is 00:42:47 Yeah, the boys picked, I wanted to do Moana, because he could be like a little fat Maui boy, but the boys picked Coco, the new Disney Pixar movie. Oh, yeah. And I'm hoping that Chris and I will be getting along by then and that Chris's family can be a part of his first birthday. So I'm hoping that that's what happens. That's what I'm like working towards right now. Oh my gosh. I'm going to be praying for you because it's been a long road and journey.
Starting point is 00:43:14 but if that happens, then that would be amazing because... I know. That's like all I could hope for. Yeah. I mean, do you think it's realistic or like not really? I don't know. I'm at the point where it's like at the end of the day right now, any time that Chris spends with the baby is not for me.
Starting point is 00:43:34 It's not for Chris. It's for Lux. So that's where I'm at. And it may have taken me eight months to get here. But, you know, I apologize to Chris. and not necessarily for anything that I've done, but just for the way that things are. And we're working towards like trying to be,
Starting point is 00:43:55 we're trying to co-parent essentially. So I'm hoping that by the time that Lux's one will be getting along and, you know, Chris will start getting overnights or something like that. So I'm hoping that we can just all be at Lux's first birthday. Well, I will be praying for that situation and praying that, It works out because I think that would be the best thing for Lux. But I guess we'll just have to wait until it gets here to see there's a decent amount of time between now and then. So.
Starting point is 00:44:26 Yeah. Speaking of scandalous situations, though. Oh, God. This week's news, Chloe and Tristan. First of all, okay, listen, bitch, I've been on both sides of cheating. And it's not like he did it one time and it was like a huge mistake and he learned from it, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. He did it in the beginning while she was pregnant and then did it days before she gives birth and didn't even do it in private. Like had the audacity to do it where people were watching.
Starting point is 00:45:07 Yes. And like parade around town and embarrass her in front of the whole fucking world because you know everyone. saw that shit. There's pictures, there's video. Like, how embarrassing when you're about to give birth? Like, hell no. Because I know when that shit happened to me, it was in private. Like, and then the fact that she took him back or she's taken him back, I mean, we don't know that for sure, but I'm, I don't know. I just, well, she did give the baby his last name, which, I mean, I think she's going about things the right way and like the mature way. I feel like she's a very mature adult and I think she's going to do a lot of stuff. I also, I also think that to be cheated on already is like one strike, but like to do what he did and embarrass her in front of everyone days before giving birth.
Starting point is 00:45:55 Like, lo-key, you're weak to stay. Like you're stronger if you walk away. No, I definitely agree. I think that it was such a sticky situation though because I mean, you know how it feels whenever you're about to give birth. It's supposed to be like the happiest time of your life and you're welcoming a new child into this world. And, you know, it should be like the greatest moments or if you have multiple children, one of the greatest moments of your life. And to find that out, I imagine that she would have had to have been absolutely devastated. I mean, it almost.
Starting point is 00:46:40 seemed to me, like, though, that he was proud of his game because, I mean, it wasn't like he was hiding from anything. I mean, the footage that I saw. Has he made any public apologies? No. No, which is crazy. You would think that immediately following your daughter's birth, that you would fucking apologize. Yeah, no. Like, apparently he claims, I read one article and I mean, I'm not going to say he claims because I don't know plenty of. news sources say that such and such says something that they never said. So I'm not going to say that. But there was one report that said that he was basically denying the allegations and that he was saying that he never slept with that person. So technically he wasn't cheating. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:28 I did see that or read it or whatever. I think it's bullshit. The whole thing. I mean. I mean, if a girl's coming out of your hotel. You know, Chris cheated on me while I was pregnant. And yeah, no. And Chris and I didn't speak for two weeks prior to me giving birth.
Starting point is 00:47:43 Like I didn't even think he was going to answer the phone. Two full weeks. He had no fucking contact. But it should be the happiest time in your life. You should never have to worry about getting cheated on while you're pregnant, let alone for the world to see it. I mean, I was just, when I saw that, my heart literally broke for her because she has waited for so long to get pregnant. and went through all of the stuff she went through with her ex-husband Lamar. And then this, like literally days before she gives birth.
Starting point is 00:48:22 And a lot of people were saying online that it was like a publicity stunt. No. There's no way. Like no. No. She was never, she's not pulling that. She doesn't need a publicity stunt. She's Chloe fucking Kardashian.
Starting point is 00:48:33 She doesn't need to do a publicity stunt. She's not. And the other, but the other thing, too, is almost like, okay, here we, like, are like fans of her or like even if people aren't fans of her they see how wrong that that how wrong the situation is she's not doing anything about it he's not apologizing so what are we all doing being up in arms about it you know what I mean I know I think it's just obviously I think that she just doesn't want to ruin like the happiness that surrounds her child right now so maybe it's just she's not like being reactive on that because she doesn't want like her child to be
Starting point is 00:49:13 overshadowed with that type of scandal. So maybe that's true. That's true. You know, part of it. And that's the way I look at it from a mom. But I mean, I imagine she's probably very hurt and very devastated. And obviously they're not going to give the whole world access to like the real feelings of what's going on.
Starting point is 00:49:35 She just gave birth, you know. Yeah, I mean, good for her, I guess, on that, on that front. I just think it's, I think it's mature, but I think that it's crazy that he would not have gone out and done some type of, like, public apology or, you know, gone and sat down with press or something like that to, like, apologize to the world for what he did to, like, publicly humiliate her. Right. I don't know. I feel like he could... It's absurd. I agree. I concur. Well, I had a few more things to talk about, but we're kind of out of time. So I'll have to save those for next week.
