Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey guys, welcome to Coffee Combos, we're back at it with another episode. How are you? I'm slightly stressed out, but also good. How are you? I'm good, you know, I've had a good weekend and just been kind of laying low and not doing as much housework this weekend. It's been nice. I know you've been busy with your kids.
Starting point is 00:00:30 Yeah, I sent my kids to their dads yesterday per our custody agreement, and I'm actually leaving tomorrow. I'm going out of town. I have my friend Becky's birthday dinner. She lives in Jersey, and then I'm going to Dallas after that. So I'm kind of excited, but also stressed out. Oh my gosh, so will you drive from Jersey back to Philly to go to the airport? Yes, ma'am.
Starting point is 00:00:57 Oh my gosh, that's so much. But it is, but I also, Becky and I have been friends for seven years, and I've never been to her house. Like, I've never, like, it's just, she understands that it's just easier for her to come here when I have the three kids, so now that I don't have the kids, I'm going to make the drive to her. And then. Can we just talk about that for a second, like friends, and how hard it is to like really
Starting point is 00:01:24 plan to do anything with friends when you have kids? Yeah, I mean, it's, it's kind of weird because like, I know that there, I have friends and like family who will literally like take their kids anywhere, anytime, just pick up and go. And I think I used to be like that, but now that I have three, I, I really just try not to do that. And I really value schedules, like I understand that when my kid is cranky and whiny, they don't want to be in a car. They don't want to be out in the middle and Lux really won't sleep anywhere, but his own
Starting point is 00:01:55 crib. So it's like hard for me to explain that because like, for example, like not Becky, but if a friend is like, oh, I have other friends that bring their kids here. And it's like, yeah, I understand that. And I can, you know, whatever works for them is fine, but also Lux won't sleep anywhere. So why am I going to drag them out and drag them all around? And you know what I mean? Like it's just not, to me, I'm not going to fight with my kids just to bring them out.
Starting point is 00:02:21 Well, I'm that same way and I only have one. So like, I get it. I just, there are certain things that I'm just like, you know what, if I can't have somebody watch Jackson for me just to go, then chances are I'm not going. So please don't even ask me. I'm not offended. I don't feel left out. Like I'm good.
Starting point is 00:02:42 Oh yeah, I just, I do feel bad cause you know, a lot of my friends do live in like New Jersey or just like not in the area. And so it's hard because I'm just not, I'm not doing it. I'm just not, I'm really not unless it's like planned out and I know exactly like how long it's going to take. I have to leave at a specific time. Lux, like if Lux falls asleep in the car, the second that that car stops moving, even if we're just at a red light, he wakes up.
Starting point is 00:03:11 So if I'm going to drive three hours to like go see Becky or to go see other friends in Jersey, it needs to be at his nap time so that I know that he's going to nap the whole way there. Do you know what I'm saying? And then I need to make sure that I leave around the time that he's going to go to bed so that he could at least fall asleep in the car and then I can transfer him to his crib. So it's just like, I don't know, I feel bad, but also it is what it is. And I know that Lux will get to an age at some point where, you know, we can, I can
Starting point is 00:03:38 stretch him a little bit. Well, and like at that age too, you have to be super planned around like the nap schedule and then around bedtime and there's no leeway on either side because if it gets messed up, then it's like messed up for days and then it's just whole jacked up situation that nobody wants to deal with. Right. So that's that. I'm going to Chris is keeping the baby for me this week because the other boys are with
Starting point is 00:04:03 their dads and I'm going to do my hair care line. I'm going to finalize everything. I picked out my, my bottles and my labels and everything like that. So I'm just going to go see like in person what they look like, how they're going to print and I'm super excited. I'm going to do like a big launch party in New York, I think that's so exciting. Yeah. I can't wait.
Starting point is 00:04:26 I'm excited. I will be there. I'll be there. Great. I'm, thank you so much for your support, Lindsay. You're welcome. So on a completely unrelated note, I was watching the news and saw where an alligator in South Carolina killed a woman that was trying to protect her dog at a resort and like that's
Starting point is 00:04:50 so terrifying to me. An alligator killed the woman. Yes. Like killed the one. Oh no. And the funny thing is horrifying. We were actually supposed to, when we were planning our beach vacation, we were actually supposed to stay at this resort and we're not staying there.
Starting point is 00:05:07 We're going to a different beach, but this was like on our list of places to go. I would not. That's so sad. So wait, was the resort known for having alligators? Like what, how did that, what did it look like? Well, so apparently the story that was reported was the woman was 45 years old. She was from Hilton Head and she was walking the dog along like a residential area of the resort and that's where she was attacked.
Starting point is 00:05:39 And the state and like local officials said that the alligator was like eight foot and was later found and killed, but apparently she was just like walking at near a lagoon and the alligator came out of the water and tried to get the dog. And when the alligator did that, the lady tried to rescue the dog and a maintenance worker tried to run over to help and the alligator latched onto the dog's leash and like started like engaging in some type of like tug-of-war with the woman that was holding onto the leash. And apparently the dog was unharmed in the attack, but she was killed and like the officials were saying that it's common practice when they have an aggressive alligator like that,
Starting point is 00:06:27 that they put it down. But they were trying to like confirm that it was the right alligator before they put it down. So I don't know what that looks like. I don't know if they take like alligators. Why can't they just, why don't, can't they just like move the alligator? Like I understand that it's such a like a touchy subject and I obviously feel so bad for the woman and her family and everything, but like if there's an aggressive alligator,
Starting point is 00:06:56 like just move it. So apparently though alligator attacks on humans are very rare, like apparently since like 1976 or like 1980 or something, there's only been like about 20 attacks on people in the States. And there was another woman in June that was killed by an alligator by walking her dogs near a lake, but I believe that was in Florida and the way that they found out that which alligator did that was they found an arm inside the alligator. So that's how they knew.
Starting point is 00:07:33 But then they had to kill it in order to find that out, right? I don't know how that works. That's what I was going to say. Like, do they take the alligator and like do some type of like ultrasound or do they just automatically just kill it? And then I think they just kill it. I don't know the whole I just can't like the whole situation sucks. It just is not and the poor woman just like trying to like save her dog like bless her
Starting point is 00:08:01 heart poor thing. Like imagine if she had kids like she's only 45, you know, like she was walking her dog. Like that's so horrible. So I saw that make sure if you're in any type of like place like that at the beach that possibly has alligators because I know there was shark sightings in Hilton had like large shark sightings. Wait, where is Hilton head? It's in South Carolina.
Starting point is 00:08:30 Oh, okay. Well, my one friend, she lives in Florida and she was telling me that in Florida, like if you see any type of body of water, like whether it's like a little mini swamp, like a huge puddle, a lake, anything you have to assume that there's alligators in there or crocodiles. She's like just to automatically assume that just unreal like, I mean, that's so scary to me. I would if I saw an alligator, I don't even know what I would do.
Starting point is 00:08:59 You know what I mean? Like I feel like I would panic so hard that I would automatically get eaten because I would try to run and it would like chase me. Listen, I have swim with sharks and I'm obsessed with sharks, but something that terrifies me is alligators and crocodiles. They're unpredictable. They will literally attack you just to kill you and then not eat you. Like not remotely.
Starting point is 00:09:24 No. Right. So yeah, we're not fucking with alligators or crocodiles whatsoever. At all. Okay, guys, do you have friends or family members who are moving, traveling another city or just going away for school? And I seriously just love this idea. Like I wish I came up with it. They also have something whenever I was searching on their website to like buy more stuff. I noticed that they had a gender reveal candle and I just thought that was so cool.
Starting point is 00:10:44 So as it burns, the wick changes colors to like pink or blue. So I thought that was kind of cute. Not that I'm having a baby, but for somebody who is, it's great. Oh, that's a super good idea. I didn't see that one, but I live in Delaware, but I'm from Pennsylvania. So I got the Pennsylvania and the Delaware candles. So I personally love them. Just visit homesick.com and use our code coffee. That's homesick.com and use our code coffee. Now let's get back to it. Can I also tell you about, did you hear about the Madden shooting in Jacksonville? I did because the same friend that told me about alligators and crocodiles in Florida also is she's one of my best friends.
Starting point is 00:12:11 She lives in Jacksonville. And so I asked her about it and she said that literally she had just left the stadium that they were at for a game. And then I think the next day it happened or like later in the day. And I could not believe it. I was like, oh my God. Was she at a Jaguar's game? Yes.
Starting point is 00:12:31 Okay. So this happened on the Monday, so that was like on a Sunday. So this happened on Monday, the next day. So August 27th for those of you who haven't heard about the Madden shooting in Jacksonville, on August 27th a gunman opened fire during a video game tournament that killed two people and wounded 11 other people. And then the kid turned the gun on himself. So the police identified the attacker as a 24-year-old kid from Baltimore and he was
Starting point is 00:13:07 attending the competition, which I'm assuming that this competition was all basically like professional Madden players that were like at the highest level that were competing there. And they didn't know what like motivated the shooter or if he knew the actual victim. And apparently like there's a lot of different stories, you know, when something like this gets nationally covered, like there's so many stories that go around you don't really know what to believe, but from my understanding, this kid had previous mental health issues and there was some issues with like his mother and stuff like that. So apparently it wasn't as shocking to the family as it was to obviously like everybody
Starting point is 00:14:00 else, but Jacksonville, I don't know if you guys know, but it's Florida's biggest city by population and size. It's like a huge city and so many people were involved in this. I think it was like a spectator thing too. Is that right? Like where people could go and watch? That, I don't know. I don't really know details.
Starting point is 00:14:27 So apparently the call came into 9-1-1 at 1.34 p.m. alerting that there was a shooter and the officers arrived on scene two minutes later and two victims were already dead at that point and nine others had gunshot wounds and tons of people were fleeing the area at that time and he had, I believe, already killed himself as well. So yeah, I mean, this is the kind of thing that causes me to be terrified of big crowds and just like being in a stadium like that or whatever because it's almost like once you're in there, anything could happen and you can't get out. Right.
Starting point is 00:15:20 Yeah. I mean, I definitely had those fears like either when like the Eagles won the Super Bowl and Lincoln went with Hobby to like the parade and stuff like that, like I was just like, dear God, please, like I cannot, it definitely makes me nervous so I can understand your anxiety of crowds. So to me, I felt like when I was reading the story about this kid, it made me feel like that these top players, like it's, you know, like sports, you know, like everybody kind of knows who like other people are, you know, even if they're from another place and it
Starting point is 00:15:51 made me think that he targeted the one person, maybe that was the person that like got him out of the game or something, it was a $25,000 prize and maybe that person was the person that got him out of the game or he like didn't like that person. And when he was out of the competition, that's when he went back and did that. So I don't know, to me, that's just bizarre. So bizarre. To be so messed up, to do something like that. I agree.
Starting point is 00:16:23 So yeah, there was that. And then in Teen Mom News, Chelsea had her baby this week. Yes, she did. She had the baby on her birthday, which obviously we're screaming congratulations to Chelsea and the whole DeBoer family. And I cannot believe how Watson and Lane look identical. Identical. Like when I saw the picture that Chelsea posted yesterday, I was like, are you kidding me?
Starting point is 00:16:50 These kids could not look anymore like. Which it's so crazy. And we kind of talked about this the other day, like genetics are so fucking weird that like you could literally have the exact same parents and you either come out looking just like your siblings or you can look like totally different, not related people. And it's so weird because I feel like Isaac, obviously I had with Joe. And then VV, which is V and Joe's son or daughter, they look like they could be 100% same parents and everything because Joe's genes are obviously strong as fuck.
Starting point is 00:17:25 But then I feel like I know people that have siblings that don't look anything alike at all. Like obviously mine aren't strong because none of my kids look alike. You know what I mean? I mean, I feel like your kids look more like than what you think. Like there's features about them that look alike, but it would be interesting to see if you had two kids with the same genetic makeup, like same mom, same dad, what they would look like.
Starting point is 00:17:49 Hey, Chris, where you at? I know. I feel like if you had another kid with Chris, it would look just like Lux. You know what, me and Chris had that conversation this morning and he doesn't agree. He thinks that if we had another baby, it wouldn't look anything like Lux. That's so weird because I feel like Lux is exactly what I would have pictured him looking like. Same.
Starting point is 00:18:14 So much same. So much same. And I feel like he, like Lux is, proves how strong Chris's genetics are. So I feel like if we were to have another one, it would look just like Lux. Yeah. Like just like him and the same for me. Like if I had another child with Will, I feel like it would look just like Jackson. Like.
Starting point is 00:18:33 Oh, for sure. For sure. They would look just alike. When people would ask me when I was pregnant with him, like, what do I think he would look like, it was very hard for me to explain what I thought he would look like. But when I saw his 3D ultrasound, it's exactly like what I expected. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:50 For sure. Genetics are so weird. So, so weird. It's, it's so weird. But I think that Isaac looks way more like you than what you think. I don't see it at all. I really just don't see it. And Lincoln is all hobby.
Starting point is 00:19:04 Yeah. Definitely. I don't know where Lincoln gets his personality from. Yeah. Other than the personality, but the looks like everything about him, he looks like Harvey like in his stature, like in his, the way his hair lays like everything looks like coffee. I agree. As mothers, we want to do what's best for our babies and no exceptions.
Starting point is 00:19:26 This means being conscious of the ingredients used in the products that we're buying for our kids from one mom to another. This stuff really, really matters. That's why I've started ordering from the Honest Company. I honestly wish that I would have known about the Honest Company when Jackson was a baby, but unfortunately I didn't. And it's so amazing that there's a brand out there that cares about what we are using on and around our kids.
Starting point is 00:19:49 I just, I love it. I use their detergent now and really oddly, I'm way more sensitive skin and the winter time than in the summertime. So I've been using it on my and Jackson's clothes and I just love it so much and the fabric softener smells so good. The best thing about Honest is their bundle options that you get to customize and control. Their diapers and wipes bundle offers the best deal on monthly supply of their diapers and you save almost $17 on each shipment.
Starting point is 00:20:17 So here's the scoop. Trusted, safe and high quality Honest diapers offer advanced leak protection holding over 17 times their weight in fluid plus say goodbye to blowouts. The honestly secure fit design helps prevent all of the blowouts. Not only are they ultra soft, which your baby will love, they're made from plant derived ingredients and free of harsh chemicals like chlorine processing, latex or fragrance. And a bonus, they have adorable five new fall inspired designs. I went on there and looked, not that I really have a reason to be looking, but I did.
Starting point is 00:20:52 And they have a really cute apple pattern. I know I've talked about it before. If I had a baby, I would make it where the breakfast pattern, because the little eggs and the bacon dancing looked so super cute. And then they had deer heads on there too. And two other ones that were also just as cute. Right now with code Honest, you'll save $25 off your first month's diapers and wipe shipment. This is a listeners only deal.
Starting point is 00:21:17 So go to www.honest.com slash coffee and insert code Honest at checkout to take advantage. Again, it's H-O-N-E-S-T to save $25 off your first month's diapers and wipe shipment. But anyways. Anyway, what? Nothing. Do you have something super important to say? No, I don't have anything. I'm actually like thinking about food right now.
Starting point is 00:21:48 Oh my God. So the other day I was on my way to the med spot to get a facial and I had dropped Jackson off at school and I don't know like how your preschool carpool situation is, but our preschool carpool? What does that even mean? What is the car? What is carpool? Like preschool?
Starting point is 00:22:09 It's like where you drive through a line with a little sticker on your, what do they call that mirror thing, your rear view mirror thing? You have like a little thing hooked up there with a number on it and you drive through and you have to go in a certain line for your kids class and you have to wait for them to get them out of the car. Do like y'all not have that? I thought when you were saying carpool like in text messages and stuff that you meant like your carpooling with parents to drop the kids off.
Starting point is 00:22:43 What? Heck no. Are you kidding me? Like are you kidding me? I thought that's this whole top like I know what like Are you serious? the pickup lines and like the drop off lines at school, but Isaac was so dead set on driving on going on the bus so now he goes on the bus.
Starting point is 00:23:02 But yeah, I thought carpool, I thought you were picking up other people's kids and you were taking turns. No. First off, I'm not taking the legal liability of having another kid in my car. Secondly, no, not at all. I do good to get mine from point A to point B, so I can't be adding other people's like kids and that's just not a thing. Right, right.
Starting point is 00:23:26 Okay, I was so confused. So that's carpool and it's so stressful because I feel like you get in panic mode, like me with my anxiety, like I'm anxiety Alan, like I start seeing like people, you know like cross walker, like people that like stand on the crosswalk, what do they call them? Yeah. Like cross walkers, like whatever they are, like where they like do their hand and like make you stop and like do all that. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 00:23:53 What are they called? Like the safety patrol. Like they're like. Yes. Safety patrol. We're going to go with that. Okay. So we have to drive through one school zone to get to Jackson school and the safety patrol
Starting point is 00:24:06 scares me every morning because I never know if she's going to like throw up a like fast stopper or if she's going to be like proceed and then there's cops that are sitting on like both sides of the road and I'm like, oh my God, I can't watch my speed. I can't like watch this lady. I'm going to crash into some kids like this is just horrible. So those people stress me out and then when I finally make it to the school parking lot, it's like Monday through Thursday carpools in one part and then on Fridays since Jackson's class is like the only class that goes on Fridays, then carpools in a whole other area.
Starting point is 00:24:39 So just way long complicated and God like carpools just the worst. And if you're listening and you have to do carpool, then you should tell us what you think about your carpool situation because I know it could be no better than mine. First of all, can we call it something else because that's not carpool? It is. Then what's it called? No. Carpool is like when you are carpooling, it's when you put people in the car and you're
Starting point is 00:25:07 driving other people and like when you get an Uber, like you can do an Uber pool where it's like multiple people get out at different stops or not. So I would say that it's just like the pickup line. Okay. Well, first of all, I would never Uber pool. Secondly, I don't like people riding with me. And third, I'm not taking other people's kids ever. Okay.
Starting point is 00:25:31 I mean, I'm fine with that. I just think that you should call it something else because I don't think that it's pool. I don't think it's carpooling. Fine. We will ask you guys if it's called carpool at your school or what did they call it? Because Kale thinks it's not carpool and I think it's carpool. So we're going to move on to the next topic before we get into fight. Can we talk about, I was like randomly scrolling through Facebook the other day and I saw some
Starting point is 00:26:02 kid like wearing a Gap hoodie. Is that where I saw it? Yeah. I did get a Gap hoodie and it brought me back to like my elementary school days of when I got my first Gap hoodie and it was purple and I thought it was like really cool. It had sparkles on the Gap, like where it said G-A-P. It had sparkles on it and I got it for Christmas and I thought I was just like so cool because it looked expensive and I got to school and somebody made fun of me and said that that
Starting point is 00:26:35 stand for gay ass people and I was devastated. You know what? I went to summer camp when I was a kid and I remember like there was like a lost and found and there was a Gap hoodie in there and I thought the same thing like oh my god that's so expensive like their mom's going to be so upset and like the whole year before that the whole school year like everyone got the Gap hoodies. And I was so upset because like my mom never brought me stuff like that and like whoever I was living with at the time obviously was going to buy me stuff like that because Gap
Starting point is 00:27:05 is expensive. Yeah. But I didn't give a fuck that people would tell me that it stood for gay ass people because I still wanted one and I never actually got one. So yeah that was super, that was upsetting. I feel like my kids should have them because I feel like they're like you should have one. You know what I'm saying? I never got one so my kids should get the Gap hoodies.
Starting point is 00:27:28 But would they be made fun of if they got a Gap hoodie? Like is it still like something people make fun of? I don't know. I actually don't know but where did you find it because I don't see it on the... It's on there. Well I'm looking. Well I saw it. Sweat shirts and sweat pants.
Starting point is 00:27:46 Well I don't remember that. We're probably going to get another fight. Oh wow they do. They have zip-ups, Gap ones, they have pullover, oh the pullovers are different now. Yeah they look a bit different than what we would have had. They have a camo one, they have a Batman one, oh my kids would be all over this. So let me tell you. So I never told my parents that people did this but I like cried about it and then when
Starting point is 00:28:11 I would wear my Gap hoodie because I got it for Christmas then when I would get to school I would just take it off because I was afraid for people to make fun of me. Oh Lindsey. I know it was like the worst. I mean I guess there could have been more things. Because obviously you liked it because it was cute and it had sparkles on it. Yeah I mean I really did like it and then when that happened I was just like oh wow this is terrible news.
Starting point is 00:28:37 Like really bad. That's sad. I'm definitely getting my kids Gap hoodies though. What were you about to say? You're ordering them right now as we speak. I am actually. I am currently. Alright guys it's time to take a break and let us tell you about one of our favorites,

And to be perfectly honest with you I didn't talk about it because I felt like I don't know I felt like it was something that was so new and I was like I didn't know the people
Starting point is 00:31:11 but it was such like a devastating story and I couldn't really wrap my head fully around how somebody could be so sick to do this. Did you hear about it Kiel? I did. Everyone told me about it. It was like he killed his two daughters his pregnant wife and then they went like he didn't say anything for like two days or whatever but he claimed that he was killing his wife because she was strangling the two daughters or whatever and I just find that
Starting point is 00:31:38 like super hard to believe and what also is really upsetting is that she had just posted like this like super sweet post on social media about like how good he was to them and she was so happy to be expecting with him again and for him to just like do that. You know what I mean? Like it's so crazy how out of left field stuff like this comes I feel like. Well and then like on top of that let's just like take all that out because anything can go on on social media that could have been like a plea as her as a woman like devastated that he was doing something so it could have been something that she was just like trying
Starting point is 00:32:24 to be his hype man you know and like oh you're so good like and behind closed doors there's like lots of problems going on you know like you right you literally do not know with social media so that could have been they had a good day like a better day than any of the other days and that's why she did it I mean who sure really knows but apparently as all of this stuff like starts unfolding and like I've watched from the very first interview to like recent and his interview with the police that was like on his front porch was so disturbing about how he was like I just want them to come back well I mean you did it so for you to be saying that they're going to come back knowing that they're dead and where you put
Starting point is 00:33:14 them why would that even be a statement that you would make he wanted to throw them off like obviously he wanted to throw them off but he didn't like he was an idiot like he I think he didn't realize exactly he obviously knew what he was doing but I think he didn't realize how far out of hand it had gotten and how quickly it could unfold that he didn't have time to plan like the next thing that's so sickening it's so sad and just like people who could kill another person is just so like I can't wrap my head around it but to kill your own child is like and you did it not once but twice and then not twice but three times like you literally killed your entire family what the fuck is going through your
Starting point is 00:34:07 head must have been a lot of things but as like the story like unfolds and like people start coming forward a source like close to the investigation told people magazine that he had affairs with both men and women so oh wow and it was unlike it was very unclear if she knew about any of the above or you know maybe like a woman but not a man or vice versa it was unclear but apparently she had friends that were like thinking that he was cheating on her and that she had suspected it as well but she never said that he was she just said that it was a possibility so since then there was a man that came forward that said that he did have an affair with him and that it had been like an ongoing thing
Starting point is 00:35:11 but it had stopped and then apparently he was having an affair with a co-worker who was a woman who was an unidentified person at this time so apparently like there's been like a trail of like things that he has been doing and she spent six weeks with her parents over the summer with her girls and he was back at home so that also makes you think like yeah you go and visit your parents if they live like far away maybe over summertime because your kids are out of school but six weeks and being pregnant with two kids seems pretty drastic right right like you're not really gonna do that unless they live in another country or something like there's like other circumstances but yeah unless that that to
Starting point is 00:35:56 me sounds like okay maybe there's some marital problems or some other type of problem that you're yeah yeah like it's crazy and then after he basically like the story started like piecing together he told them where he they could find the bodies and like he put the girls and like oil things and like with lids on them and then the wife was with like a blanket from their house and she was buried like close by and it was at a place where I think he worked or something or like a site where he was involved with with work or something like that so he sent them straight to the bodies that's really disturbing and I think he's like how do people get away with stuff like that and not get caught in the process
Starting point is 00:36:51 like what kind of time were you guys was he on that this happened and like where were the other two when you did the first like you killed the first person where are the other two people do you know what I'm saying like to think and look at little excuse me to think about it and look at like the logistics of everything like you had to have killed the wife first because otherwise she's going to try to stop you from killing the daughters and then where were the daughters I think he probably killed the girls first and then killed her you think yeah I think that because I mean why can she I mean I don't know like I feel like the whole thing about the I for sure feel about the baby monitor that he's
Starting point is 00:37:36 full of shit because wait what did he say about the baby monitor he said that that's where he saw her choking like the one daughter and that the other daughter was already like purple on right but he said he saw all of that from a baby monitor like you can't tell from a baby monitor if your daughter like if she was laying on the bed she would just look like she was sleeping right like on a baby monitor she wouldn't look like she was right like you wouldn't know right right right and for him to be in the house and seeing something on a baby monitor he would have had to have heard the child the first child scream or the second child start to scream if she'd already killed one of them so right
Starting point is 00:38:17 I feel like that's all just like a scam so then the one child's dead so then he goes ahead and kills the other child and then kills her like it makes no sense I mean I just think that he's man just at that point he should have just come clean like at that point you're already getting arrested you're already going to prison you're already going to probably get seriously hurt in prison I feel like you should just come clean at that point like you're not getting away with this so just fucking say what it was like there's no point of lying well exactly it's like just come clean at this point and stop making it like this rat race of trying to like connect point A to point B to point C what's been done is
Starting point is 00:38:58 done so just own whatever it is right right I agree I agree with you I really do like it's it's crazy so there was that and then oh my gosh like schools been crazy like remember when I text you the other day like about Jackson coming home on Friday and having homework yes oh my gosh yes he had homework we started at one o'clock he didn't finish homework until 245 which seems like a lot of time for a kindergartner he still didn't finish his homework and didn't finish until yesterday see that's a lot of work for kindergarten I feel like and I it's especially because like I am part of me is like okay it's good because it's going to set them up for like later on when they do get a lot of schoolwork but I just feel like
Starting point is 00:39:48 kindergarten is so young to start that and Isaac I feel like had kindergarten and kindergarten in first grade and then second grade and third grade they've had less homework well I feel like I have mixed feelings about it because I feel like Jackson's kind of slow with doing his work but I feel like it'll teach him to have to learn to be like a little bit quicker like he volley gags and like definitely takes his time on stuff and I feel like it's preparing him for when he might have you know spelling words then he might have you know science homework and then he might have social studies homework like it's preparing him for various things like she'll send home something with like numbers and then something with letters
Starting point is 00:40:37 and then you know like his Bible verse for the week and it's like all this stuff and it's like seems like so much for a kindergartner and when I'm sitting there helping him I'm like wow this is like a lot and this is stressful but then when he gets finished and does it then I feel like accomplished because I'm like okay well he finished it and he tried his best and it's putting him like on the path of he's going to be okay. Well yeah that's what I was saying like I think it's good because it'll set him up but also I mean maybe start that in like first grade and not kindergarten because I feel like in kindergarten they're still like just trying to figure things out like you know
Starting point is 00:41:18 what I mean like they're not quite they can't quite read yet necessarily or they're just like do you know get what I'm saying or am I just trying to get it. I get it was Isaac reading like when he was in kindergarten. I think Isaac started really reading like yes kindergarten but he really started reading in first grade. Okay so like maybe like small books like in kindergarten yeah like the little one sentence on each page books but then and those were like after learning like his sight words and stuff like that and then first grade was like okay now he's bringing books home from the
Starting point is 00:41:53 library and like really reading them to me. Oh my gosh yeah because we went to the library after school one day last week kill and Jackson goes into the kids section and he starts grabbing all these books and he picked like this comic book that was literally from like the nineteen like thirties and it was like a Batman comic book and it was so thick and you have to return these library books in like a week and I'm like okay Jackson we will never get through this in one week and just to think like he'll probably be reading like comics or like little stuff like that within like the next year is crazy to me yeah yeah and and he will be and I'm like okay and then you've got these other
Starting point is 00:42:39 tiny he picks like that one big thick comic book and I'm like oh great like that's definitely gonna fall back on me and then he picks these tiny little readers which are like two words per page you know what I mean that's they're like the I can read books or whatever mm-hmm and he picks like three of those and I'm like okay these are realistic like this comic is completely unrealistic and then I heard Will telling him that like that comic book doesn't even make any sense because words they use in thirties like aren't even relevant anymore and like trying to reason with him about a comic book and I'm like okay well when you're reading it then just change the word to make it relevant like this isn't rocket science
Starting point is 00:43:17 here right I mean that's true I didn't even think of that like I don't even know what words they would use that wouldn't be relevant relevant but yeah I mean just yeah just change the word to make it relevant yeah just like whatever okay are y'all ready for our hello fresh updates because you guys need to try this if you haven't already hello fresh is a meal kit delivery service that shops plans and delivers step-by-step recipes and pre-measured ingredients so you can just cook eat and enjoy meal plans include classic veggie and family I'm really into the cauliflower mac and cheese I rave about it all the time same it's yeah we we both talk about it all the time they do have good burgers as well and I've done
Starting point is 00:44:03 the pork shops yum so I look for is my hello fresh delivery knowing that dinner is just that much easier I feel confident when I'm cooking hello fresh because the recipes are just so totally simple and I know that I'm not going to forget anything because everything is already in the box and that's one thing that I'm just really bad at I'm a bad grocery shopper so for me this is perfect as I said all the ingredients come pre-measured and handy labeled meal kits so you know which ingredients to go with which recipes you won't spend all night in the kitchen because recipes only take about 30 minutes and I just made the kick and chicken stir fry and it was a big hit in my house so if you guys want to
Starting point is 00:44:44 try that I would suggest that one and the cauliflower mac and cheese it's just a go-to staple that we always order so for a total of $60 off that's $20 off your first three boxes visit hello fresh dot com slash coffee combo 60 and enter coffee combo 60 it's like receiving six free meals or up to 50% off three boxes again visit hello fresh dot com slash coffee combos 60 and enter coffee combos 60 for a total of $60 off that's $20 off of your first three boxes anyway do your boy start soccer soon so Lincoln wanted to do soccer he starts this week like I said it's hobby's week so he'll take him this week but Isaac's not wanting to do soccer he just wants to do jiu-jitsu and basketball when it's time so so we're
Starting point is 00:45:38 not he's not doing soccer but they're gonna start jiu-jitsu they have jiu-jitsu two days a week and then they Lincoln also has soccer on Wednesdays oh my gosh so Jackson's doing soccer this season instead of playing fall baseball which I think was like a hard give for will because he played baseball his whole life and he's just like right drilling baseball and I literally hate hearing them argue about baseball like it's it's the worst argument to have to listen to I swear like I would rather sit in a foreign country where I didn't know how to speak any of the language and have somebody screaming at me than to listen to argue yes than to hear them argue because it's so aggravating and I'm just like if
Starting point is 00:46:30 he doesn't want to play like just don't make him play and will so determine he's like he's gonna play and he's gonna do it and he's gonna do what I say and I'm just like oh my god like please like something give Lord please something give so finally he's playing soccer and apparently the soccer that he signed up for is like where they have a practice for an hour on Saturdays and then they go straight to a game okay yeah we've done that before so it's like called I nine or something have you done that yes we have okay so apparently it's not like super super structured it's more like fun for them to kind of get them acquainted with like the sport so I don't have any experience with it but we're gonna
Starting point is 00:47:19 find out this coming weekend so I guess we'll see it'll be good I think you guys I think you'll like it a lot because I feel like it's instead of like one practice and one game a week you just kind of do it all in one day and it's more like fun I feel like so I think you'll like it well I think you're just gonna like it more just because it's very interactive like the whole time you know what I mean like there's not a ton of downtime to it so right right I think it'll be good and then we went and got like cleats and did all of that and of course that was a fiasco in itself because I don't even know like what to buy for soccer because we've never played you know so I'm literally in the Dick sporting goods asking
Starting point is 00:48:01 some other dad like hey is this what we need and he's like sending us the right direction I'm like oh great like we probably have all the wrong shit like wonderful no it'll be fine um it'll be great so funny um it'll be yeah it'll be great it'll be fine can I ask you about um your twitter war this week listen okay you know what let's talk about it um okay so my twitter war was I guess like the here and there that we mentioned Janelle on the podcast which personally I feel like we discuss it and we move the fuck on I don't feel like we harp on it I feel like if it's something in the news we talk about it and that's it um but she has been tweeting at me and because she blocked me she won't she's
Starting point is 00:48:50 not directing anything towards me she's just saying like my name in a sentence or she'll allude to or whatever and I'm just like so annoyed because it's like I wasn't the one who started this she came out of nowhere and went on Vince's podcast way back when which was probably what last year at this point who even knows so yeah and it's just like like I said if she makes headlines doing some dumb shit and we talk about it that's it like I don't take to twitter or nothing like that so I'm like okay um and then okay she said something about homeschooling or something one of the kids and I was just making fun of her because she said instead of across like the word A C R O S S like I'm sitting
Starting point is 00:49:40 across from you she spelled across like a space C R O S S E D uh crossed wait where was this at on twitter oh okay I'm like what I think I'm blocked so I don't know so I don't care about Janelle or what she does I just if she's making headlines and we happen to talk about it that's really it so I'm not really sure why she continues to tweet about me and like both of us keep going but you can't sit there and say that I can't say stuff about you on the podcast when you're really not you're making these crazy videos you're you know doing whatever you're doing and obviously they're making headlines so we're going to talk about it but don't post this stuff if you don't want people to say anything
Starting point is 00:50:37 I feel like someone sent a message to um oh and then this is the other crazy thing like let me back up so on the coffee combos podcast Instagram people send us like crazy messages about this stuff and like ask us like can you give us like the 411 or can you like tell us what's going on with this like honestly we don't know any more than what anybody else knows other than what we see that comes up like in the media or what somebody sends us so chance are we don't really know we're just like saying what we see or what somebody sent so I mean I don't I mean if she really if she really wants me to talk about her I can talk about all the all the DMs that I get on Instagram like I could I could really really
Starting point is 00:51:23 rip into her but I don't because I don't really give that much of a fuck and I don't know why so many people like send us stuff honestly like I guess they just want to know or maybe like she said something about the podcast or something like that but enough on that so guys how is your skin doing just checking because mine's doing great and do you know why let me guess bio clarity you know it bio clarity is delivered straight to you in an easy to use three step skincare routine that's 100% vegan plus gluten free and cruelty free bio clarity is complete skincare with two different daily routines I use the essentials routine and I can't believe how much of a difference it's made in my skin
Starting point is 00:52:10 honestly for me to just have a product that I can use you know transitionally throughout each season I feel like bio clarity is good in the summer it's good in the winter it's good in the fall it just keeps my skin consistent and I really don't have any problems I use the clear skin routine because you guys know that I struggle with blemishes and I get pretty bad breakouts around my chin and my jaw line so the clear skin routine has definitely helped me reduce redness and just kind of clear up all my blemishes so if you're ready to detox and rebalance bio clarity products are loaded with soothing ingredients like fluorolux from chlorophyll they're hydrating but lightweight and it's just like green juice for your face
Starting point is 00:52:55 get started on healthier habits with your skincare just go to bio clarity dot com and our listeners will get their first month for 50% off of a routine plus shipping is free and it comes with 100% risk free money back guarantee but you need to enter our code coffee that's bio clarity dot com and enter our code coffee now let's get back to the show we did polls I know Kail and I love to do the questions thing on Instagram it's so fun to interact with people but we did that and are gonna answer some questions and we're gonna start off with questions that were for both of us so the first one was what do you do for me time as a mom that's for me or that's for both of us that's for both of us so you can
Starting point is 00:53:44 go ahead okay so for me time right now is a prime example so Chris has the baby and both the boys are with the older boys are with their dad so I'm podcasting and just kind of like online I will clean up or I'll sleep I typically don't go out because that's just like not my thing but I would like to like start getting that back so hopefully y'all have some type of like a real social life at some point but yeah that's what I do in my me time so for me and my me time I consider my me time like when Jackson is at school so that's like you know three hours Monday through Friday a day that I get and I'll try to do like appointments that I know that are things that would be less hectic
Starting point is 00:54:31 if he wasn't with me so I'll go and you know get a pedicure or I'll go you know run errands that cause me to be in and out of the car because I never leave my kid in the car so I just try to do stuff like that and then I love to watch movies and Netflix if I you know have just like individual me time I'd love to do stuff like that but I don't really like go anywhere or really do anything with anybody it's weird would me time be considered like when we go do like our business stuff like is that considered me time or is that considered work or is it both well then I guess like me time to is I feel like we have so much fun when we do podcast stuff that I don't really sometimes consider it work
Starting point is 00:55:20 like obviously it's there for work but we're also having fun while we're doing it so right right I guess that's like kind of sort of just touching on that like people I've noticed like really think that when we do that it's like completely unnecessary and why am I on all these trips and why am I always traveling and it's like it's my job and yes it's fun but it is also my job so I feel like a lot of people like see podcast and they're like okay well this is just like something that you do from home and a lot of times we do but then a lot of times we do you know go out and go to different places like New York or Tennessee or you know like wherever it is that we're going to go we're planning other
Starting point is 00:56:09 trips right now so of course like when we go and we have guests on obviously we're going to take pictures like we're going to do that stuff and we're on a trip so naturally that's something that we would do yeah no I agree I don't know I hate that question though yeah me too okay moving on to the next question next question is would you guys ever consider getting a show together fuck yeah yes I would say the short answer is yes the longer answer is who's gonna pick us up what network would we like to be on I don't even know like I feel like I feel like you're totally an MTV year yeah I yeah I have also been on we TV I feel like we TV is good and I mean I only know USA but I definitely don't feel like
Starting point is 00:57:11 they would pick us up so yeah I just I don't know and I don't even know what like what would it look like I feel like we could do like Spencer Pratt has his Spencer Pratt will heal you or whatever like that's super cool it's on YouTube I think like a real show or like I know Instagram TV is a thing but like I think I would like to do like an actual I know Snooki and JWoww used to have a show I forget what it was called and it was on the go 90 app because I feel like it is so hard to fill content like people ask me all the time like is killing the chaos ever going to be on TV probably not because it's so hard to fill in the content for an entire hour that even with commercials that's 45 minutes
Starting point is 00:57:58 like what the fuck are we going to do for an entire season for 45 minutes each do you know what I'm saying so I feel like the shorter episodes on like YouTube or go 90 or like a short series would be cool we could do something like that yeah I feel like that too or like to do a lot of people ask this question all the time is they want to see all the behind the scenes stuff of the podcast and seeing us like live interviewing people so I feel like that could work obviously with like other content added but yeah I don't know that was that question probably out of that poll that I did yesterday that was probably like a hundred questions that people asked so I mean I would love to do it I just it really depends on
Starting point is 00:58:47 if you know someone would be interested and if we would have enough stuff to show like it couldn't be the same thing over and over you know what I mean so I feel like we would just have to really plan out like what it would be what it would look like and I think we could do it and I think a lot of people also like don't realize outside of the entertainment industry that it's not really our choice if we get a show it's not just like we can say oh we want to do a show and then we just like do it it's something that most of the time it has to be pitched and you get shut down and then you have to like repitch stuff so it's like and it costs money it actually cost a lot of money to like even film like a little
Starting point is 00:59:32 mini vert like a pilot like a mini version of what we would want to do like that costs a lot of money yeah so there's a lot of money that would be invested and yeah so I guess we will just see but I know a lot of you guys were asking and that's the answer so I have questions for Lindsay and one is if you had another kid would you want a boy or a girl so I've always said that I feel like I'm more cut out to be a boy mom but as I see people with little girls on Instagram I'm like oh my god I could totally see myself having a little girl obviously I would just want the baby to be healthy and whatever you know boy or girl as long as it's healthy I would be perfectly fine already have a boy so I would
Starting point is 01:00:27 be ecstatic if I had another boy but I would probably want a girl okay and I can see you with one of each and I can also see you with two boys well we will just have to see I can definitely I can definitely see you as like a boy mom like through and through I definitely know what that's like so just if you that ever happens just be super prepared to feed them because I just can't with the food and then the other question was will you be on the new season of Chris Lee knows best and they said that they love you know I will not be on the new season of Chris Lee knows best and that was also a question that a lot of people asked and my focus right now is staying in Atlanta and raising Jackson and podcast
Starting point is 01:01:24 and over the weekend will came home and started entertaining the idea of moving to Austin so yeah I don't really know what I'm going to be doing to be perfectly honest so I will not be on this coming season I don't know if it's season six or season seven but I won't I'm totally supportive of Austin I don't know anything about it I've never even been well you better go start looking because if he's entertaining the idea you need to have an idea of what you're going to do I have a ton of family in Dallas so I'm probably going to meet up with my sister while I'm down there but I love Texas so I feel like I'm supportive of it it's a little bit further away from me than where you're currently at but I mean
Starting point is 01:02:13 I'm supportive for whatever is going to make you guys happy so I'm for it well this is the same person that has come home twice within hours of departing from Hartfield Jackson and going to Texas so this person could possibly already have a house and I wouldn't know so immediately when he started with that idea I started getting on Zillow like trying to like find something because I'm like oh my god like I better have a game plan in case this is like this setup for a major move. Yeah for sure that would be amazing though. So I've only lived here since 5th grade so that would be like major.
Starting point is 01:03:03 I support I would definitely come visit. Well apparently they've got a great music scene and they've got great food and their houses are to die for so I'm like okay I'll go. Okay I'll go for sure. Okay Kale questions for you that came through that were again I picked questions that were most commonly asked so the first one is thoughts on Janelle homeschooling Marissa. Thoughts on Janelle homeschooling. Well I know that I would get a ton of backlash because if I talked about her kids like I
Starting point is 01:03:48 talked about you know how Brianna talked about my kids let me just give like a little preface on this so the context that Brianna talked about my kids in was it would have been possible for you know people to start up an investigation and like CPS to get involved for her making that kind of statement on social media. That was my whole thing. I also do try not to talk about people's kids but I and I'm not against homeschooling however I don't know that Janelle is in a place where she should be homeschooling anybody. I am not like I said I'm not against homeschooling I know that there are homeschool groups that
Starting point is 01:04:39 are like super cool where you go to like somebody else's house every day and it's like a full class like you're using you know different kinds of cooking stuff and you're learning about math and you're learning about measurements and you're going out in nature and you're doing like you know that kind of stuff and like there are really cool homeschooling kids that you can do. Yeah and I only know that because again my friend Rachel from Florida she was the one that told me about all these things so I definitely think that there are really great ways to homeschool but I just after knowing Janelle for ten years do I think that she is a good
Starting point is 01:05:13 candidate? No I don't. Okay. So that's how I feel. Okay next question. If you had to pick one of your baby daddies to spend the rest of your life with who would it be and why? Chris I know that I have said some shit in the past and I know that Chris and I have
Starting point is 01:05:36 been super up and down and I truly don't wish what we have been through on anyone however I do feel like Chris was my first true love and I do feel like Chris has the potential to really go far if he puts his mind to it and I think that we both kind of know when we need space from each other so if that's a couple days or a month we do that and we have gotten through everything that we've been going through so I feel like he would be the one that I would, yeah Chris for sure. Well I wasn't going to think that you would say hobby and I definitely, definitely not. And I definitely wasn't going to think that you were going to say Joe because that's just
Starting point is 01:06:31 so far removed so I expected that answer. I'll be interested to see if everyone else would have expected the same answer. I think it's not like shocking to me. Yeah well you also know me on a different level than like the viewers and like I said I know I've said stuff in the past but you know Chris and I have really been through some shit like true, we've really been through some shit so I feel like I don't know like I don't know what it is but I'm not going to speak negatively about him, I don't want to speak negatively about any of my baby dads at this point.
Starting point is 01:07:13 Just not worth it, it's not worth the headache, it's really not. And also like my kids are going to have their own opinions about their dads and they don't need to be swayed by how I felt or what I've been through, they should really only be able to judge based on their own lives and their relationships with their dads so yeah but I mean ultimately you would definitely say Chris so that's that. Well that's that so I guess then I will just talk to you whenever you get back from Dallas and I'll be happy to hear an update on how that went and if you get to meet with your sister and I'm sure some more craziness will have gone out in my life by that time.
