Hey guys, welcome to coffee combos. Hi, Lindsay. Hey, how are you? I'm good. I'm podcasting
from the comfort of Chris's home right now. Wow. Speaking, speaking of Chris, I posted
on Instagram, I don't know how many days ago it was, maybe like three days ago or something.
It was, you know, people had questions about the podcast or anything like that to, you
know, drop it below. And a few of the questions were about Chris, actually, I get them all
the time. Like when I ask for podcasting topics, they're like, we want to hear from Chris.
Let's talk to Chris. Like, are you guys dating? Like, what's the status blah, blah, blah.
And like, I just don't answer because I feel like that's something that I would want him
to answer with me. But also, um, no, it just worked out that I'm here because I needed,
you know, I need help with Lux. And I, it just, you know, Chris isn't working today.
So I was like, okay, well, you watch Lux while I podcast. And since Chris did move, he lives
about an hour from me. I got Isaac on the bus, I got Lincoln to school, and then I drove
up here so that he could be with the baby and then I could podcast, but it didn't make
sense for me to like leave or something. So I'm locked myself in a room so that I could
podcast.
Oh my gosh. So he moved like an hour away.
Yeah. Well, he, because he only lived up by me because he went to school there. So, um,
and then obviously we had Lux and so whatever. And then his lease was up and I'm putting
out all his business and I'm sure he won't appreciate this at all. So putting out all
his business also in his house. I love it. So what has been going on this week? Anything
like interesting?
For me, just okay, well, I don't know how much I've told you about, okay, so two things.
Um, I put, I said I was going to build a house after I said I was going to stay in my home
and then, um, and then I started looking at houses and I actually put an offer in on a
house last night.
So that's one.
Oh my gosh. Yes. Well, I know the house, but, um, yeah, that's super exciting.
So I'm super nervous because I like, I thought the house was way too good to be true. I was
like, there's no way that there's already a house built that is literally every single
thing on my, on my dream list and, um, sure as shit. My realtor was like, yep, this is
your dream house and I got there and it really was. So then I started to get nervous because
I was like, well, you know, I am, I have time. Like I don't need to rush into moving. I already
own a home. Like I don't need to rush. Um, but then I kept going back and forth. Like
I couldn't stop thinking about the house after I saw it. And then I was like, well, maybe
it'll just stay on the market until, you know, the holiday season when I know that I can
definitely come up with a 20% down.
So yesterday I got a text and my realtor was like, Hey, they got two offers and on the
house. Like if you're wanting to put an offer in your best bet is to do it now because otherwise
someone's for sure going to buy it. So I said, you know what, I would rather have put an
offer in and then get it rejected than for me to walk away saying that I wish I would
have put an offer in. Do you know what I mean?
Oh yeah, totally. It's like, so yeah, I did.
Yeah, I get it. I get it. And plus like, I don't know. I feel like change is something
I'm so afraid of. So even if there's like things about, I don't know about you, but
like even if there's things about my house that I would want to change and I found like
the perfect thing, I would still be hesitant to do it just because I hate change. Like
I do not deal well with change. I don't function well with change.
Yeah. And I second that. It's like, I've been so comfortable in my home for three years.
Like we've built a routine. We've built kind of everything. And so to like kind of make
that transition, it, it's scary. So I don't know that I'm going to get the house, but
if I do, I'm excited. If not, also, if I don't get the house, truthfully, I'll probably
just stay where I'm at. I might just hold off on building and or buying. I might just
hold off and just stay put for a while. And then the second thing that I've been working
on is, um, so my, my new book is coming out next week. And then also, um, my hairline.
So what we're finalizing the website, the website will be done tomorrow and my hair
products, um, all the bottles came in. They were shipped from New York to Dallas. And
then the laboratory is going to fill the bottles with my formula. And then, um, I'm just waiting
on the labels to be printed to put on the bottle. So that's super exciting. And I have
my PR list for the people that I want to send to, which obviously you're on that. So I'm
super excited to like get everybody excited to like try it. Cause you know that I'm totally
into like all the products and yeah, like all the girl stuff, like I'm, I'm into it.
So I'm excited to try it.
So I'm nervous and excited about that. But anyway, what's going on with you? Anything
new this week has Jackson had soccer again, or is that only on the weekends?
No, so since fall break is fastly approaching as of tomorrow, um, they take the weekend
going into fall break off and then the weekend, I guess that's considered fall break off.
So it's kind of weird how it started because they started, you know, last weekend and then
take two weekends off and then start back. So I thought that was like kind of odd to
see, you know, try to like start them in a routine and like go off for two weeks and
start back. But anyhow, that's how it is. Um, gosh, I'm dreading packing. We're heading
to the beach tomorrow afternoon when Jackson gets out of school and I'm just like, I hate
to pack. Like it's probably one of my least favorite things to do in the world. Like I
would rather clean toilets and to pack a suitcase.
Really? I don't mind the packing a suitcase. If I have clean laundry, I just can't unpack
it. Like that's where I struggle.
I saw something, um, speaking of that, I saw something on Instagram one time. It's like
if somebody unpacks their suitcase, like immediately when they get home, they're a serial killer
because for sure, a hundred percent. Nobody does that.
I just packed on. I just went to Dallas last week and I only unpacked my suitcase last
night.
Oh my gosh. Yeah, I'm really bad about that. I'll be honest. Um, that's something that's
driven will crazy about me for a long time because I am so organized and I mean, you've
seen my suitcase packing before. Like it's all like very much like it all has a place
in a suitcase. And I will say though that my closet and my unpacking of suitcases when
I come home from trips, like that's not really a thing until I'm basically forced to unpack
them.
I kind of live out of my suitcase at home and I'm not quite sure why I do that.
Oh yeah. I mean, I definitely have done that. I've definitely done that. Also, I'm just not
a good packer to begin with. I went to Dallas. I had forgot underwear, toothbrush, deodorant.
I forgot everything. So I'm not a good packer or an or an unpacker. Okay. So I have a question
for you guys. Can your workout clothes double as your outfit for a night out or even for
work?
The answer for me is yes, because I shop on carbon 38 and I have been loving everything
on there. Like I literally spent two hours on there like four nights ago. Then that's
embarrassing, but I like can't stop shopping it.
Well, I love it and it's a true, it will be a true treasure for you guys. Carbon 38 is
a performance fashion e-commerce site that curates brands that blur the lines between
workout wear and street style. So pieces transition effortlessly from studio to street or from
workout to weekend very quickly.
By making luxury accessible carbon 38 curates pieces that mix style with function empowering
women through their wardrobes. It is the best selling to car lightweight leggings with a
liquid finish makes it look like leather. And his collection has actually sold out three
times. And like I said a few minutes ago, I shopped literally two hours on the website
and could not stop a few days ago. And I ordered high waisted moto leggings for fall just because
they're a good staple to have for like sweaters or you know, you can pair it with anything.
And I also am obsessed with socks that they have on there. And I know that's really weird,
but I'm really, really weird about my socks and these socks specifically, I just love.
So I think I ordered like 10 pairs of socks. And then I also ordered a water bottle. And
I have really cool like the glass water bottles with the silicone on the outside. I love just
to have those. They look cute. And it's functional. And I know that from this point forward, I
am going to be shopping on carbon 38 every time I get paid. It's going to be like my
splurge because I'm obsessed.
Well, carbon 38 private label articulates runway fashion trends in active wear. Like
Lindsay said, moto, eyelet, ruffles, crochet, private label designs include dresses, leggings,
sports bras and tops that are meant for much more than just working out. You can also wear
them out. I personally love the moto leggings. You guys know that's more my style. I also
love the carbon 38 Pearl tank. I love the black look and how it has like the little
rips all the way down the back, which is super cute. You can literally wear it to the gym
or out if you're going out.
Yeah, so cute. So carbon 38 offers new arrivals daily from the top luxury performance fashion
labels. Go to carbon 38.com and use code coffee for 20% off your order. That's carbon 38.com
promo code coffee for 20% off your purchase.
Okay, so let me ask you this question then because it used to drive will nuts, but now
he's the same as me and I don't know if it's just because he got so accustomed to my ways
that he's just like, I'm not going to fight it. So I'll just, you know, do whatever. But
whenever I go somewhere, I'll pack, you know, like 20 things for like three days and I wear
like three things and then I get home and I wash all of it because I don't know what
touched the dirty clothes like in the bag.
Okay, first of all, no, that's a no, because I might wear three things out of 20 things,
but I'll still come home. And I mean, unless I know for a fact that I was gross and that
I shouldn't wear it again, I'm not washing any of it, just probably just the underwear
and the socks. I'll wash those like I'm not going to wash. I'm not going to wash the jeans
that I wore one time. Oh my gosh, well, apparently you're not supposed to wash jeans like every
time that you wear them, but I can't not. You wash jeans every single time you wear them.
Yes, and I know it's like horrible for the jeans. I know you're not supposed to do that,
but I just like can't not wash them. I'm like, okay, I wore these all day. That's kind of
weird if I go and shower and like put a face of makeup on and fix my hair and look all
cute. And then I go and put on a pair of dirty jeans. Like what? Well, I mean, as long as
you're changing your panties, I think you're fine. Oh my gosh, Kale. No, literally, like
what? What are you saying right now? I'm literally not washing the stuff that I wore
one time. I'm just not unless like, I didn't get all three months and my armpits stink.
Like I'll wash the shirt, but like the jeans are not getting washed. They're just not. And
also I only have like maybe five pairs of jeans that I love. And so like, I probably
haven't washed them in a long time. So
But like, is that all clothes or just jeans? Like, does that just apply to jeans? I mean,
it really depends on the shirt. So like for me, I sweat a lot. So I will probably likely
wash the shirt. But like a sweatshirt, if it's cold, no, I'm not washing that every
single time. Oh my gosh, no. Yes, I definitely wash. I wash everything every
Wow, people are gonna think I'm dirty. Okay, well, can we move on because I don't need
people to be discussed by me. Yes, Kale, that's fine. We can move on. Great. But we're still
going to talk. We're still going to talk about shirts because
Okay, I don't know if we've talked about this before, but you and I probably individually
have talked about this and kids dressing themselves and stuff. But like Jackson has no sense to
dress himself. And did you see what I posted on Snapchat this morning of Lincoln? Yes,
I did see that. So the struggle is real. Like I get it. This morning, actually every week,
Jackson waits until his stupid incredible shirt is washed. And he's like, Mom, did you
wash the colored clothes? And he knows that that goes in the colored clothes. So if I
say yes, and sometimes he'll trip me up because I'll just be like busy doing something and
hoping that mom, did you wash the color clothes? Like, yeah, and he's like, Oh, yeah, my incredible
shirt's clean. So I get to wear it. And I'm like, hmm, lovely, your teacher gets to see
that stupid incredible shirt one more time. Um, and he thinks that it looks good with
like, this is the shirt that he wears with the red shorts. And I'm like, okay, Jackson,
this is not a costume. Like I'm not quite sure why we're color coordinating like the
red shirt with the red shorts, the reds don't even match, but like whatever. This point,
I don't care. So he's so fascinated with Incredibles. It's like a sickness or something. Like his
mind off of it.
I haven't seen it. So I'm upset about that. Number one, but number two, I'm gonna need
you to post the picture of an post a picture of the outfit so I can see it. Okay, well,
I will post a picture of the outfit so that everybody can see how it looks. Actually,
I feel quite confident that I already have a picture. I don't even have to take one because
I already have one because he's worn it so many times. And it made me think this morning
when I was laying his clothes out, I was like, you know what, I feel so bad for my parents.
And I remembered this morning when I was brushing my teeth that I had this tacky ass Pocahontas
shirt. Whenever I was in kindergarten, and I wore that thing until like it literally
wore out and it was so tacky. It was like maroon striped and it just had like a patch
of Pocahontas like on the left hand side of it. And that thing like matched nothing.
Like who knows if I wore like Jean shorts with it or like who bought it or whatever I wore
with it. I'm pretty sure my mom bought it for me or my grandparents bought it for me.
And then I don't know if anybody remembers the Mick kids clothes that used to be at Walmart.
Do you remember that? I don't that doesn't sound familiar to me. It's like a brand like
Mick kids. They used to have it at Walmart in like the 90s. And they used to run commercials
all the time. And I wanted the Mick kids clothes so bad. But my dad didn't buy me Walmart clothes.
So you know what, them now that you say that, I think, I think back to my childhood and
I don't think that people cared when we bought clothes from Walmart as much as people do.
I feel like now. Yeah, I don't think that was because Mary actually had their little
Mary Kate and Ashley had their little line at Walmart. And so like it was okay to wear
what won't like Walmart clothes, you know what I mean? Yeah, I was so fascinated with Mary
Kate and Ashley back then. So yeah, but like now they don't have like lines like that at
Walmart, I feel like they don't have like any cool like kids. No, it's China. Right.
And so I feel like now it's like, Oh, I got my clothes from Walmart and it's people kids
don't want to say that or whatever. But like I used to be so proud to wear Mary Kate and
Ashley. Yeah, same. I love the Mary Kate and Ashley stuff. But yeah, I was so fascinated
with this Mick kids brand that they had back in the day. And so I was thinking, you know
what, it's not the end of the world. I survived. Jackson's probably going to wear the sleeves
off of this incredible shirt, but it's okay. Like I'm fine with it. I wore Pocahontas
tacky shirt and Jackson wears incredible tacky shirt and it's okay. Stop calling it tacky
shirt. Yeah, Jackson and it's so funny because I say the word tacky all the time. And Jackson's
like, Hey, mom, this doesn't look tacky, right? And I'm thinking myself, oh my gosh, it looks
so tacky, but he's like so proud of it. And I'm just like, No, it looks great. And thinking
to myself like I just lied to my kid and it doesn't look great at all. But it's all right.
It's so funny to like think about the little things that make them so happy. Like that's
just a simple incredible shirt from Walmart and he's pumped on it. You know what I mean?
Pumped like pumped. You guys, the new FabFit FunBox is here. And I was so excited to get
it because one of my favorite ever brands was in it this season. And that is Glam Glow.
I use their masks so much and they had two masks in there. It's one of my all time favorite
brands. So I was super excited to see them in the box. And then another product that
was in the box that I thought was really cool was the Beauty Blender because we all use
those and I always need a new one because I forget it, leave it whenever I travel or
whatever. So super excited to see that in the box. So for those of you who don't know,

I was just about to say that. So you guys in every box that you get this season, the

I'm super excited about the Beauty Blender. And it's my favorite. Well, I'm excited. There's
two of them too. So I'm pumped. I love FabFit Fun because it's literally like Lindsay said
it's Christmas every, every season when you get a box and you just never know what you're
going to get, but you know that they're full size quality products. And also I got an umbrella
in mine and I was super pumped because obviously with the storm and all the rain this week,
it was literally I grabbed it and I ran out the house. I feel like with FabFit Fun though,
the products are so usable. Like I've gotten other boxes before and it's like I might use

today about... Of course there was. Of course. And of course you were reading it. Go ahead.
Yeah, well because the headline was Georgia Schools Paddling. And I was like...
Paddling or paddling? No, like paddling with a paddle like your ass, like paddle your
ass. You're kidding. No, so literally I was interested because I was like, okay, you know,
I mean I know that we've talked about me going back and forth between putting Jackson public
or private. Right now he's private and we're going through admissions process for, you
know, private school next year. We're still going to take the tour of the public school
just to see, you know, what they have to offer because I think there's benefits of both and
there's negatives of both. So I went to private school. Will was a public school kid and his
mother was a public school educator. So you know, there's a definite line there that one
way he's the other. So I thought, oh my gosh, this is what's going on in public school.
The headline was a little misleading, you know, per usual. But apparently students that
are at an East Georgia public charter school. The punishment is wouldn't paddle if they
misbehave. I mean, like, I don't know, we can talk about in a second how we feel about
it, but I'm just going to read the facts and then, you know, everybody can kind of weigh
in on how they feel about it and we can give our opinions. But they house kindergarten through
ninth grade at this charter school. And as of this year is when they started introducing
the new paddling policy. And if parents do not sign the consent for the paddling of their
child, then that child could face up to five days of suspension for, you know, not getting
paddled, I guess. And the consent was obtained so that, you know, the news could, I guess
explain the policy. And it says that the school administrator will take students behind closed
doors requiring them to place their hands on their knees or furniture and will be struck
on the buttocks with the paddle measuring maximum 24 inches long and an adult witness will be
present.
Okay, no. So there's a couple of issues I have with that, the whole thing. But also,
so let me start by saying I'm not against banking. I'm not. However, I'm not putting
the trust in basically a stranger to me, which is like any administrator at the school, I'm
not putting a trust into them to not a take it overboard be paddle without, you know,
if you haven't talked to me and told me what the situation is, like, I if I don't really
truly know what the with the whole issue is for my child to get a paddle from some stranger.
No, like there's so many things wrong with this. And I just don't, I don't find it appropriate
for a teacher to take the student behind closed doors and paddle on their butt. Like I'm sorry,
I just a smack on the hand with like a ruler is completely different. But you're not going
to take my child into another room behind a closed door and hit them. That's just not
that'll never be okay with me. It'll never sit well with me. So that's a hard pass. And
that's coming from someone who, like I said, I'm not against banking. So but you're not
peddling my child at school behind closed doors. That's a hard no.
Well, and I mean, I'm not against spanking either. I grew up that if you do something
wrong, my parents are going to spank me not beat me. But like, I got spanked, my grandparents
spanked me, you know, it's enough to make you aware that what you're doing is wrong,
but it's not a beating. And I don't believe in using objects to spank a child. And I don't
even see why the school, even though signing a consent, I don't even see why the school
would take on that liability because, you know, the behind closed doors thing, just
the wording freaks me out right consent, right? Even if there's another adult present, because
who's to say I mean, you see stuff on the news all the time that, you know, molestation
like all kinds of stuff happens, like you just, you don't know. And I just feel like
this is just taking it a bit too far. As a parent, I want to know what my child's doing.
And if my child has done something that is worthy of a spanking at school, then administration
better pick up the phone and call me and I'm going to come my ass up to the school. And
I'm going to deal with my own child. Right. And see that's the whole right. No, no, we
don't need to put that into strangers hands and we all stranger and I'm referring to them
as strangers because that's essentially what they are. They don't really know, you know,
the child the way that we do, but also I just feel like for a child who maybe comes from
a home where they don't believe in spanking or, or maybe their family takes spanking too
far and then they go to school and that's supposed to be like their safe place. And you
know, either way of the situation, I feel like that can be traumatizing for a student
to like a child to go to school and get spanked at school can be absolutely traumatizing.
And I think if they don't understand it, if they don't come from a home where, you know,
they do spank, then they're going to be so confused. And I just think that that's just
not, and like you said, it's a liability. And I don't think that it's going to getting
spanked at school is not going to benefit the behavior, I don't think behavior of the
child. If anything, I think it would make it worse.
I agree. I think that especially raising Jackson, I know that even if I spanked him, it's not
going to get his attention because he's the type of child that he is very sensitive. You
spanking him is not going to do anything. He is very sensitive to feelings. So if he thinks
that like he's done something to make me upset, or if he feels that I would be ashamed or
think less of him, then that's going to hurt him more than a spanking would. So I don't
think it is. I don't think by implementing something like this across the board. And
that's kind of my main thing with public schools all together, that it's so mainstream and
so one way, you know, like the punishment for everything is exactly the same. Like you
do this, you get spanked. Well, charter school is slightly different though. Charter school
is like, it's like the middle ground between private and public public, right? But I do
feel like that to just have that as the main form of punishment with every child having
a different personality, every child being different, every child coming from a different
type of family. I think that's just a little crazy.
Yeah, I agree. I don't not for it. I don't know. I don't think it's good. Spanking at
schools on a trauma, like it just it's not consistent. And so and it's not humane, I
feel like, but it's not it's not going to do any good. I don't think yeah. So if you
guys are listening, weigh in and let us know how you feel about paddling at school. And
if you think it should be allowed and why or if you think that it shouldn't be allowed
and why you've thought about the milestones that you want to hit in life, but sometimes
they feel like they're far away, especially if you have high credit card bills or your
credit score isn't great. But there's one easy way to get back on track towards your

about Mac Miller. I know we talked about it last week on the podcast. The thing about
his girlfriend.
Oh yeah. So I guess Mac Miller from I'll pull it up right now. He allegedly had a secret
girlfriend and she basically took to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute about the rapper
just, you know, about his death and everything like that. And she shared a picture of his
hand on her thighs. And it basically just says, I'll read it. My heart is hurting. Oh
wait. Yeah, I guess her name is Miss Julia Kelly. My heart is truly hurting. Shattered
today. I lost one of the most amazing humans that's ever entered my life. Malcolm McCormick.
Oh wow. I didn't know that was his full name. I would give anything to have you back. Our
memories will never be erased. I'm forever grateful for you. Thank you for our laughter
and endless amounts of love. You brought me out of my shell and broke me free from my
shyness. Most general soul. Your mind was like no other. Waking up next to you was a
dream. Thank you for always making me feel at home. I'm going to miss your sweet forehead
kisses and affection. I would give anything to talk to you one last time and express my
love. I love you forever. So that's what she posted on Instagram and she looks to be, I
don't know this as a fact, but she seems to look like an Instagram model of some sort.
She is verified. So I'm not really sure. I'm actually not sure who she is or anything like
that. But apparently that's his secret girlfriend they have in quotes. Wow. And she put a screenshot
also of like their text messages. So not really sure. That's crazy. I didn't even know that
he had a girlfriend. So that's crazy. Yeah, I don't know. So weird to me. So weird. Speaking
of text messages, did you see the bachelor scandals going on this week? I did not. Okay,
so there was a guy on bachelor and paradise and a girl that got engaged Jordan and Jenna
at the end of bachelor and paradise. And apparently there was a post that was posted
on Twitter about it was like a shade post and it was like, you know, somebody's going
to get roasted tomorrow or something like that to that effect. And so Jenna starts calling
Jordan and is paranoid and she's like, well, you know, wonder who it who it is like makes
me feel uneasy and blah, blah, and he's like, well, you have nothing to worry about, you
know, kind of like trying to figure out why would she have anything to worry about. And
then she ended up calling him again in the middle of the night just paranoid about it.
So then the next day, reality Steve who has been, you know, basically spilling the winner
of bachelor bachelorette every season for years has been communicating with this other
guy that this Jenna has been texting. And this guy has sent, you know, verified text
messages to reality Steve where she has, she's basically saying the whole relationship's
fake that she just did it for publicity and how she was trying to grow her business and
that she had no feelings for Jordan and blah, blah, blah. Meanwhile, this guy Jordan thinks
it's the real deal thinks that, you know, she's in love with him thinks that like they're
going to get married apparently planning wedding already and everything he's really in love
with her. And then he finds all of this out. Oh wow. Wow. And it just kind of made me think
like, wow, the level of things that people will go to for notoriety. It's bizarre to
me. And just like the franchise in general, you know, when I first started watching the
bachelorette, I started watching when Trista Sutter was the bachelorette. And I think
that was like one of the first seasons. I think she might have been the first bachelorette.
And it was so real and authentic back then before social media came around. And now if
you go on the bachelor or bachelorette, you, you go on there and you're on there for a
few weeks and you leave and you have 500 plus thousand Instagram followers, which is so crazy
because what does that even mean in real life? Like great, you have 500,000 Instagram followers,
but what does that really mean in real life? You're not really people know who you are,
I guess, but like, what does that do for you? And that's kind of what I don't understand
is like, yeah, the power of social media can be great if you're trying to grow a business.
So like I can see kind of how she was, what was the girl's name? Jenna, Jenna, like it
makes sense because she's trying to grow a business. However, that's not the way that
you do business. You don't just fuck with people, you know, and their emotions and how
they feel to grow a business. But you know, if you use it the right way, you really can
do wonders for a business or for a foundation or an organization, whatever the case may
be. But if you're just a person going on reality TV and you don't really have like any aspirations
or you're not doing anything with it, like it kind of sucks that you're going to go out
of your way to do something for people to know who you are for what reason, for no other
reason. You know what I mean? And I mean, yeah, I get it. And to me, it's like, okay,
you're on Teen Mom and the show is a collective cast and you have a story to tell like you're
through your struggles, you're helping somebody. And I hope it's not easy. Like it's not easy
to film every day. And it's work, you know, people don't think that, but it is work. And
you are basically spilling your whole life and all of your struggles and things that
you might not necessarily want people to know. But at the end of the day, it's helping people.
And you know, by same thing goes for me when I was on Chris Lee knows best, like one of
my last storylines was me filing for divorce. And do you think that I wanted to film that?
No, I didn't. But when I, you know, decided to do the show, I decided that I was going
to share my life and share, you know, the real things of what was going on. And that's
what was going on in my life at that time. And I know that it helped so many people.
And I know a lot of people still have a lot of questions and we can cover that, you know,
at a later date. But these shows that have, you know, contestants on there like the bachelor
and the bachelorette, I will admit, I get wrapped up in watching those shows because
there's so many personalities going on that it's interesting to watch. But I can honestly
tell you I haven't watched in several seasons. Just because I don't like the fact of feeling
like people go on there to get Instagram followers and they go on there for, you know, they have
an agenda to press, I feel like, and it's just wrong.
But what can the Instagram followers do for them? What is the point of wanting that? It
doesn't make sense to me. Like, yeah, you might get an ad here or there, but like it
doesn't Instagram followers don't translate or like do anything for your real fucking
life. So what the fuck is the point?
And you and I have had this conversation so many times before that, like, if you want
to follow me on Instagram, follow me, like, you can see what I'm doing in my life. Great.
If you don't, don't follow me. I don't care. Like either way, it is what it is because
I'm just living my life. I'm just doing me. And that's just it. Like, I feel like a lot
of these people like on this show, they one, if they come off of the show and they feel
like they don't have enough followers, then if you're following one of those people, you
see, oh, wow, their profile yesterday had 300,000 followers. And then the next day they have
600,000. Like, did they buy 300,000 followers?
Oh my gosh, you know, it's so funny. I listened to a song yesterday. I think it was on Russ's
new album. And he has a lyric in one of the songs that says that it's like you buy Instagram
followers. Basically, that's what he's saying. To like, make yourself look a certain way.
Like in real life, it doesn't mean anything. So what the fuck are you doing?
Yeah, I mean, I just, I don't get it. And like, you know, I went to school for marketing.
So from a marketing standpoint, it doesn't even make sense to do that. In no way does
it make sense. But I don't know. I just, I followed that story. It's, you know, very,
very new. And there's still things, you know, coming out about it. As of last night, she
had posted something on her Instagram. I went and looked about basically saving face and
how she had got an attorney and how the messages were fabricated and, you know, on and on.
And then you go to his Instagram and he has all of the support from bachelor nation. Everybody
is on his side supporting him. He's totally heartbroken. And she, she has no support from
anybody in bachelor nation. So, um, I just, you don't mess with people's hearts and you
don't do things like that. You know, it's Instagram at the end of the day. So, you know,
Instagram out here ruining lives for nothing. Exactly. Okay. So it's time to update you
guys on my progress with beach body. You guys know that I've been doing the P 90 X because
I told Lindsay that after I heard her story with it, I wanted to try it. I've already
done insanity. So I'm doing P 90 X and I'm really loving the results and learning with
the program. So, um, with beach body, you have full access to all the meal plans and
tips and all of that stuff. So I love it. And I know Lindsay does too.
Yes, I do love it. And actually following your lead was a great decision because my progress
with insanity was so good. Um, I love kind of mixing it up though. I don't stay like
on a particular one for, you know, extended period of time. So exanity P 90 X. Um, I just
checked out the 21 day fix a few days ago and I started looking at like the nutrition
side of it and the workouts. Um, so what I found on there was it's 30 minutes and beginners
can do this. So if you are a beginner and you are not familiar with the gym or you feel
like working out is like too much for you. Um, the 21 day fix is a beginner program.
It only takes 30 minutes a day and they have a nutrition guide for you on there that you
can download and it's 24 workouts offered, um, for 21 days. So I'm going to give it a
try. Um, although P 90 X abs are my go to favorite. And even if I make up my own program,
I still kind of go back to these programs and use, you know, pieces of each of them
that I like to kind of make my own. So I love it. So yeah, definitely. Beach body has over
700 workouts for all fitness levels ranging from bodybuilding to weight training to cardio,
hit to yoga and even dance workouts. But Beach body isn't just 24 seven access to working
out. They offer nutrition help like I was saying a few minutes ago, um, because success
doesn't just happen in the gym. A lot of it has to do with your diet as well. Oh, definitely.
So Beach body on demand has tools to help make eating right easier. There are dozens
of easy to follow meal plans and hundreds of delicious recipes that you guys definitely
will want to try and just get up and get motivated with us by working out on your own schedule
in as little as 10 minutes. And our listeners get to try absolutely free. So do it with
us right now. Our listeners can get a special free trial membership when you text coffee
to 30 30 30. You will get full access to the entire platform for free and all the workouts,
the nutrition information and support totally free. Just text coffee to 30 30 30. Now let's
get back to the show and speaking of Instagram, like all of the shaming that I have seen lately
on Instagram is at an all time high and I'm just sick of it. I literally, we've talked
about it before. Like if you don't, if you're following someone you like or you don't like
or you're on the explore page and you see something you don't like, why the fuck are
people commenting saying horrible things? Like just keep fucking scrolling, bro. Like
people are weird. Put that energy somewhere else. I don't know. Like it's one thing for
you to like text your friend and be like, Oh my God, this is so stupid. Okay, cool. Leave
it at that and keep it moving. But like to comment on the picture and be like, Oh wow,
you look so stupid is like, I'll go somewhere else with that energy. Like I don't know where
you're what you're trying to do here, but you're not making yourself look good. You're
not making anyone look good. So just keep it moving. There was like a lady that commented
on my latest Instagram post about how I was the reason of what's wrong with Christianity
or something like that because of a statement that Jackson made. I mean, he's a little kid.
He's a five years old. And if somebody is mean to him, he is kind of learning the Bible
and he's learning like how people do things. And you know, he's just, he's growing in his
journey with the Lord, but he's also just a little kid. And he had made a statement
to me that he figured girls out that they have Satan in their hearts. And I thought
it was funny because just the way that a little kid would say something like that or think,
you know, I just, I found humor in it. And I think the majority of everybody else did
too, but this one specific lady would not stop. And she's a consistent person that comments
negative things on my Instagram. Every time I post something and it's just like, bitch,
like, what are you doing? Like, why are you even here? Like she doesn't even go here.
Like you don't even go here. Please, please don't ever go here. Like just get off.
I don't understand that. Like obviously everything's not perfect. So I mean, something like that,
the Jackson said is funny. And I think it'll be funny when he gets older too, because I'm
sure he'll say the same thing and be like, no, I was really accurate when I said, when
I said that at five years old, like I think he's going to have it all figured out. So
like, I don't know. It's like funny. Like take, take a joke. I don't know. Yeah. Like
get a personality or something. Like, because clearly you don't have one. And the only thing
you know how to do is bitch. So that's me 99% of the time. You know, it's like, bitch
somewhere else because here is not the place. No, no, ma'am. Oh, man, that's so funny. Um,
I actually got crucified last night because, um, the teen mom secrets revealed aired, which
again, they didn't tell us that it was airing. So one of my friends texted me and was like,
Hey, you might want to watch this. So I turned it on and it was kind of funny. I cried because
I said I was in love with Chris or something. And, um, I was like, wait, this is supposed
to be late hearted. And then anyways, I come back and then they show a scene of me like
freaking out. Um, well, I was on vacation and filming and stuff. And they're like, Oh my
God, you would never be able to act like that at a real job, blah, blah, blah, blah. Okay,
that's fine. But I don't have a real job. I have, I mean, I make real money job. I have
a TV job. Uh, I don't work a regular nine to five. I do work. Um, but it's not a regular
nine to five. And the stress of filming is different than a stress of a real job. And
you know, unfortunately, sometimes we do lash out because communication is not there. And
I think that what people don't understand is the lack of communication that was, um,
during that episode of the taping or whatever, that wouldn't have flown in a real job, a nine
to five job anyway. Like the lack of communication would have caused something to happen in the
workplace. So it was no different than what happened. And, um, long story short, I was
on vacation, they asked to film about it and they asked to come along and then they ended
up making it more difficult and like less of a vacation. So it was frustrating because
I obviously paid for my whole vacation. Um, and then because Leah's producer and her team
was there and my producer and my team was there, it ended up being that we were in the
same car, but our production was telling us two different things. And so I like freaked
out. I mean, we ended up filming the scene and finishing the day anyway, but I mean,
whatever, I got crucified for that. And she's like, if you don't like what you see and everyone
does have bad days, then keep it moving, stop commenting and just move forward.
I mean, and I guess I see like both sides of it, you know, because being on reality TV,
people who have never done it, it's like you don't understand it. And just like, I haven't
worked a nine to five since I was in college. So a lot of things that a traditional worker
out here that has a career, um, there's a lot of things that I can fully say I can't
relate and I don't understand because I'm not doing that. And you know, I feel like
people should give the same respect back to if you're on TV, like you can't relate because
you're not doing it. You're not there every day. You're not there with a camera in your
face.
To piggyback off that, though, I think that people think that we just go about our lives
and the camera crew just is silent and follows. And that's not the case whatsoever. Like that's
just not, if they were just to fly on the wall, they would get so much different type
of footage if they just like followed us around on a regular day. But because, you know, these
people have to get, it's a company, it's a camera crew, it's a liability technically.
So they have to get clearances to film certain places. They have to, you know, mic us up.
We have to, you know, they kind of need to fit in everything that's going on in our lives
into the days that we're filming. And so there's a lot of pressure. I wouldn't, I wouldn't call
it scripted at all. But, you know, we kind of have to do the certain things on those
days to make sure that, you know, they're getting all of that. And so I feel like people
don't understand what goes into it. It's not, they're not flies on the wall. It's not just
like quietly following Kale through her vacation. That's just not it. And so I think that they...
It's not like you have a GoPro strapped to like a hat and you're walking around and
just like capturing footage. Like, that's, ideally, would that be great? Yes. Like, is
that reality? No. So yeah, that was, I got crucified on the internet on Twitter last night.
So that was my drama of the week, but whatever. It's just, it's like damned if you do, damned
if you don't. You know what I mean? It's like, you can't win. You're always going to piss
somebody off. Right. That's big facts. Something else that I saw that I was like, oh, wow,
this is totally Kale and I. It was about washing your whites like all wrong. And I know this
is like completely unrelated to what we were just talking about, but I saw it. Yeah. Like,
I thought how you wash whites because it's how I was taught that you, you know, separate
your clothes, you have whites, you have towels, sheets, coloreds, darks. Okay. Well, apparently
somebody taught me to wash wrong because whites, if you are trying to get them like the bleach
to be effective, you're supposed to wash them one time. And then you're supposed to wash
them again with the bleach. And this is why. Because apparently turns out that when you
bleach, it might be making your whites look even dingier. This article says that they
encourage people to ditch chlorine bleach for laundry. This is a cleaning expert, by
the way, guys. I'm not a cleaning expert, but this person apparently is. Bleach actually
has a chemical reaction with the protein, aka like any lingering sweat on your t shirts,
bed sheets, anything like that that would cause whites to yellow. Bleach has an effect
with that and can actually cause your sheets to look even dingier over time. Okay, I know
that's a professional, but I'm going to go ahead and say I'm still going to bleach them.
I bleach them more so for the smell to feel like it's been bleached. I don't really care
if my whites turn yellow. Like if I know that they're clean and they're bleached, I don't
really give a shit. I mean, if they turn yellow, I'm not gonna lie. I'm throwing them out.
Oh, really? Like nobody sees my sheets, but me and my lover. So nobody, it doesn't matter.
I'm a lover. Well, I like them to look crispy, you know, like I like them to look like very
like I don't like sheets to look wrinkled. I like them to be like really like flat and
white, like really, really white, not like where you have body stains on them. I don't
like that. I mean, I slept on my on my sheet on my sheetless bed for two days one time.
Well, because I left my sheets in the wash and I had to bleach them again.
Kale. What? Don't tell people that. Too late. Too late. Yeah, that's a no go for me.
Are you judging? Yes, because I used to have a sleepover. Like I'm not going to say this
person's name, but whenever I was a kid, I used to have a sleepover with this girl and
she would sleep without a pillowcase on and it drove me crazy.
I mean, I've definitely done that. I don't prefer to do that now because I like to the
reason why I don't is because I do have bad skin. And so when I take, if I sleep on a
pillow without a pillowcase, I'm what am I going to do? I'm going to wash the pillow,
which I mean, I've done that, but I don't really like to. I'd rather just take the pillowcase
off, wash the pillowcase and put it back on. So yeah, I mean, I wouldn't prefer to sleep
on it without a pillowcase, but I mean, that's life.
Well, yeah, I'm going to make sure all of my things are covered in linens. So yeah.

I sent you the thing about the cold case that we thought was like cold because they didn't
have any leads for the girl that was found in the subway and the mall.
So you sent me the boyfriend. Yes. Okay. So now they have linked like everything back
to him. Isn't that amazing?
It's crazy like how they can solve cases like that like pretty much within weeks, but we
still can't like we might as well open up all the cold case files and just like start
solving murders because at this point it's like we have all the technology we might as
well. I know, but like this is just amazing. I'm so impressed because how did this even
happen? Like they had nothing and it's amazing how technology and just like everything can
be pieced together and they can pretty much know exactly time and place where everything
happened to me. That is just crazy.
So didn't they find the phone? He pawned the girl's phone.
So it says that it says in the article that he had pawned her phone and they had like
found blood traces or something like that. But how would they even know? Like how would
they even know that the phone had been to a pawn shop?
Well, that would be like how they would know.
The serial number, you know what? I watched on the ID channel. I forget what show it was,
but it was basically like, you know, obviously like a murder and then like the guy who was
murdered was like found, he was like at a bar and then he got like killed in the streets
or whatever. And they like literally went to all the businesses and got the footage
from their cameras like outside the businesses and literally did like a play by play of like
he went next and like where the people were that, you know, murdered him and the next
step and the next step and the next step. So it could have been something like that
where like, okay, maybe the boyfriend was seen leaving them all and then he was seen
going to the pawn shop and then they look up the serial number, like stuff like that,
I feel like, which is so crazy because you don't, obviously they didn't have that like
back in the day. So technology is really, really helpful these days.
Yeah, very helpful. But I mean, I just want to know what went wrong. You know what I mean?
I'll be, I wonder if the trial will be like on local news here or what, since it has been
all over the AJC, like since it happened six months ago, I would just be interested to
know if it would be something that we will be able to follow like more in depth to find
out more, you know, of the actual details of what led to it because it's crazy. They
said that her body, like her chest was restricted to the point where she couldn't breathe, like
as if somebody had sat on her. And also another thing that came out was there was blood, like
apparently her blood was all over at the subway. So I'm assuming she just wasn't found there
because it wasn't, wasn't in operation. And the mall was kind of like we had said before,
they were losing tenants and didn't really, it was kind of like a place that nobody went
anymore. So I think that's how it happened. And they also said that she definitely died
there. So she didn't come from like a second location. So he killed her there.
That's so sad and crazy.
So so sad. And I'm like, what is wrong with people? Like, who would just think to like
sit on somebody's chest and be like, okay, like, I'm going to kill you.
Someone who's not right, that needs to be locked up and not even it. Oh my God, don't
even get me started on that stuff. Because sometimes you can literally someone like that
can go to a mental institution instead of prison. And then they on good behavior and
whatever they can get out of the mental institution instead of being in prison for all the years.
And it's just like how like, I don't care if you're crazy or not, if you do something
that heinous, then you deserve to be locked up.
I agree.
You know, I agree.
Well, we have some Q&A. So people asked this week on Instagram.
I'm nervous trait, favorite traits about each other, like me and you. So I'll go first.
My favorite trait about Kale is she just flies by the seat of her pants. And as much as it
drives me crazy sometimes, it's also one of my favorite things because I feel like if
you had two people that were as organized and as like anal as me, then it would never
work. So it just makes it more bearable, I think.
Okay, my favorite trait about you is your wit. And sometimes I sometimes it doesn't
always come across on the podcast, but I like, because obviously I talk to you more and see
you more than what we podcast over the phone. So like, yeah, it cut like in text and in
person, the shit that you say, I'm always just cracking the fuck up. So I love your
wit. I think it's so funny.
My dad says that too. He's like, you're so funny. And I'm like, I'm not really that
funny. And he's like, no, but you really are.
But it's so and it's so quick, like you come up with this shit, like I'll say something
and it's just quick. And I'm like, damn, like why couldn't I think of something funny like
that? Like I'm just not funny.
You've said that so many times, you're like, why can't I be witty?
Yeah, I'm just not of all things like I just want to be witty stores where we buy kids
clothes recent this back to school thing, I wasn't going to go back to school shopping
because I was like, oh, we might as well wait until the middle. But I did order some things
online.
A couple weeks ago, I ordered while we were talking about it. I was literally podcasting
and shopping at Gap Kids. I also got a bunch of stuff from H&M Kids this back to school.
I ordered them.
You know, honestly, I always forget about H&M and it's something that I need to write
down and remember because they have such cute like fashionable things and they're reasonably
priced. But I normally do like Gap Kids. You know, we do a lot of Under Armour and Nike.
Jackson wears a lot of just athletic clothes, to be honest. Sometimes I'll, you know, go
to Old Navy because it's cheap and the stuff doesn't last longer than a season anyway.
So I don't care if it's ruined by the time, you know, six or seven weeks rolls around.
I'm like, okay, well, I paid like $12 for it. So whatever.
You know what?
Oh, go ahead.
Yeah, so that's basically where I go. Just to go off of what you said about the athletic
clothes, like the athletic clothes is so Lincoln and Isaac and Lincoln are so polar opposites
that I can't really get them the same stuff. So Isaac is very like Ralph Lauren, H&M, Target,
like he's very just like, he likes clean cut like khakis, whatever. And then Lincoln is
so athletic clothes to the extreme that like I put in, I did put an H&M outfit on him this
morning, just because he had picked out a Ralph Lauren top and some Under Armour shorts.
And I said, oh fuck no, maybe we're not about to do this today. And the top was like blue
and blue and green. And then the shorts were gray and orange. So I said, no, we're not
doing this. So I put an H&M outfit on him. But yeah, Lincoln is the athletic clothes,
Under Armour Nike, we go to Dick's Sporting Goods. And then Isaac is very like H&M, whatever,
whatever, whatever. And Lux just gets everything because he's the baby. So
Exactly, just like wherever. Did Oh, will you guys ever do a meet and greet?
I would say yeah, right? I would say yes, that, you know, we've talked about doing it
for so long. But I think that we, when we talk about things, we realize, okay, we're
moms too. And we have like other projects going on, we have lots of things going on.
And then it's like time passes. And it's like, oh crap, we forgot to do a meet and greet
or we forgot to do whatever. So I think when the timing's right, we'll definitely do it.
And we were thinking about possibly doing it over the holiday. At some point, we had
had an idea to do like a fundraiser and incorporate, you know, like a meet and greet with that.
So we'll talk about it. But who knows, like when it'll be, but definitely would love to
meet you guys. Yeah, that would be fun.
Did either of you have morning sickness, it's hitting me hard at 12 weeks, help me.
Oh yeah, with Isaac, I had it. And then I really think it was just, I got nauseous with
Lincoln, I want to say, and sometimes with Lux, but like throwing up was all Isaac and
there's, there was nothing. I didn't do anything about it. I just fucking threw up.
Oh my gosh. Well, when I was, I know I've talked about it before when I was pregnant
with Jackson, I was nauseous for the first 12 weeks. And then after that, I was kind
of good. I will say that there is ginger ale that you have to get the kind, I think
Red Rock is a brand and it has actual real ginger in it, like the Canada dries and stuff
that doesn't have the real content of ginger. So that's not going to help you. There are
ginger lozenges that are helpful. Gatorade, I've talked about this before, saved my life
for the first 12 weeks, but I never got throw up sick. I was just, I wish I could have thrown
up because I feel like that would have made me feel better, but I was just, you know,
nauseous, just always felt the need to throw up and never actually threw up.
See with Isaac, I would be so nauseous and throw up. And once I threw up, I would feel
so much better.
Oh gosh, I so many times I'm like laying in the bed. Please let me throw up, please give
me the need to puke because it sucks.
Any other time you're like, Oh my God, please don't let me throw up. But in those instances,
truly just let me vomit.
Exactly. And then just to wrap it up, I know we talked about the flu shot last week and
somebody had sent a message about a county in New Jersey said that it was 100% mandatory
if you wanted your child in daycare to get the flu shot. However, for religious exceptions,
you know, you're not required, but that's kind of everywhere.
But see that I'm not like you said you guys get the flu shot, the flu shot every year
except for you. Personally, for my family, I don't, I'm not vaccinating for the flu,
but I also don't judge people who do or don't like I'm not judgmental to require that for
everybody I think is unfair.
Like I just think it's unfair to, to mandate that for everyone. I don't think that that's,
I don't think that that's okay.
So you can get out of it by saying, even if it's not for religious reasons, you can say,
you know, for religious reasons, I'm not vaccinating and that flies. So I guess that's
like the loophole, but that's kind of everywhere. So to me, that's not really mandated because
if you have the option to say, I'm not vaccinating for religious reasons, you don't have to prove
religious reasons, you can just say that and then they say, okay, and then they write that
down that you have not vaccinated for that's for any shots, you know, like anywhere in
public schools, any private schools, whatever you can have the choice that you don't vaccinate.
So I don't know, I just thought that, that that was interesting that somebody said that
that was, you know, a mandatory thing and some county in New Jersey. So I don't know.
